Great Place To eat. Our server Omyae was the best. The T-bone steak was so flavorful and delicious. Will defiantly visit again.

If you want steak this place delivers a variety of quality cuts, prepared to your liking in a venue authentic as a modern saloon. Yes it's a chain, yes the all look the same, and yes it's great value for the mid range budget. Great for friends and family. The only thing they didn't do, as we had booked, was to create one table for us to sit together.

We were waited on by Aaron, what a great experience he was polite and very accommodating. We had the ribs and steak, very good.

The steaks were fair and the prices average. I did not experience a wow factor with the meal. From the hype of the other people (approximately 30 of us in the group) I expected a bit more. The food was good. The seasoning was a bit heavy and a bit salty (probably not in an effort to live up to the name) and portions were fair. I would visit again however I would not likely go out of my way to do so.

In Irving, TX for a convention and visited Saltgrass after finding out our first restaurant choice was closed on Sundays. Enjoyed our meal, good drinks (Strawberry Mule was quite nice), but our server Nick was super nice and made sure we were well taken care of. He recommended the carrot cake and cheesecake for dessert and we were not disappointed. Both were phenomenal!

My very first time to a Saltgrass Steakhouse. I certainly wasn’t disappointed. Wedge salad followed by Salmon and rice. Wedge was great...fantastic blue cheese crumbles, where do you get them? Salmon was cooked to perfection. Sat at the bar that night and the young lady and gentleman working the bar area were awesome. Service was impeccable. Thanks for a great experience, I’ll be back.

An upscale take on steak and ribs. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night. The food was great; the servings ample. The service was a touch slow, but the place was busy. Overall customer service -- front to back -- was over the top. Truly five star level.

This restaurant is awesome in every aspect of it. The ambience, the servers, the food, the drinks everything is great. We loved our meal here.

We sat at the bar. 3 bartenders were helpful, curteous, and truly excellent at their craft. The happy hour is A-1. The food is also good. I recommend going at the happy hour time for all excellent specials. Join the Landry club and you always deposit with an guaranteed return!

Had a meal there on the way to the airport, great place for a really nice steak. Service wasn't quick, but we were in no hurry either. Loved their bread. Crab cakes were OK, but will try something else next time

The visit started a little maddening but that feeling disappeared with the service and quality of food. The reservation was for 15 but increased to 18, adding 40 minutes to our wait time. However, when the waiter arrived the goodness began. His methodology in serving drinks, to serving appetizers to order taking taking and serving the meal, was so well coordinated and timed perfectly. He did this all on his own and I didn't hear one complaint. I had one bacon-wrapped quail leg, 1/2 jalapeno pepper and some artichoke/spinach dip. My main course was western ground beef. All cooked to perfection. The setting was my image of typical Texas.

It was pretty good. My baby back ribs were great! My husband had a ribeye and it was just ok. We had the rattlers for an appetizer. Good, but spicy

I had a standing dinner appointment on Wednesday nights with my co-workers when I was working in Dallas. That's how good it is. We looked forward to going here and getting a "Pat's Ribeye", and enjoying every bite. Definitily worth going, just expect it to be busy, no matter what day of the week it is.

Went to dinner with my wife and son last night 8/20 and enjoyed some great tasting food. They started a new concept of having staff posted throughout the seating area assisting with tables or customers when needed. They were sorta of like spotters looking to jump in and help. My steak tasted great as usual.

We had a good lunch at Saltgrass, it was a full house only saying that the food is good! I had the Honey Sriracha Chicken - nothing fancy though and I find it a little salty.

I had the steak salad and a baked potato. The server was good and food was tasty. We started with warm bread and butter. I would go back.

My husband had chicken fried steak and I had fried chicken strips and fried shrimp. Salads were good as usual. Their ranch dressing was great. I was shocked at the price on their mojitos either it wasn't listed or I didn't see the price. They were good but not worth $9.50 each. Other than that, no complaints. Good service as usual.

We actually had to wait for a table at 5:00 PM on a Friday. It was crazy! I'm not a fan of eating at chain restaurants, and I'm not a huge steak aficionado either. That said, I went with three friends - one had a serious hankering for steak. And she picked Saltgrass. I had the steak salad. hmmm. Cold boiled potato chunks, boiled eggs, steak, blue cheese, green beans. Didn't leave me with the feeling of a cohesive salad where the tastes blended well. So I picked out the steak (it was nice and tender, warm and tasted really good) and ate the blue cheese and the eggs. My friends all got steaks. Two of them shared the smothered filet, which they liked, but it left them hungry (they should't have shared!). The other got the ribeye and loved every bite. They deliver bread to the table with a flavored butter (a little sweet). I was disappointed in the bread. It was a little dry. To top off our dinner we ordered one slice of cheesecake for the table. It was pretty good, but a little too "fluffy" for cheesecake in my opinion. That did not stop us, however, from shoveling the whole thing into our mouths! The strawberry compote served with it was the bomb!

We were vacationing from another state and asked our hotel to recommend a "true Texas steak" and they didn't hesitate when they recommended this place for the true Texas experience. They did not steer us wrong. Thank you Saltgrass Steakhouse for the best ribeye I've ever had! Fork-tender and so flavorful. I can't even describe it except to say that I am ruined for all other steakhouses; my home state just can't compare. I had the chicken tortilla soup as my starter and it was also exceptionally great. Even the side dish was great: I got asparagus and it must have been grilled because it had a hint of smoky flavor. And now I'm truly salivating. Strongly recommend getting a reservation. This place is packed even on a weeknight; the parking lot was overfull and the side street was packed on both sides of the street for at least 2 blocks down. It can be a royal pain in the butt if you don't get a reservation.

My wife, a couple of friends, and myself ate at this Saltgrass steakhouse last night. I ordered my steak medium rare as I always do. It came out and was an uneven cut in thickness. The edges were perfect but middle of steak was a cold deep red (rare). I asked server to cook it longer. A manager brought it back but he didn't wait around, he just dropped it off. I cut into it again and it was still rare. I had to wait for my server to come by and have them cook it longer which finally happened. The other the people were done eating by the time I received my steak for the third time. No offer to discount or nothing. Picture attached is steak AFTER it returned from being recooked.

We decided to celebrate our Valentine's Day at the Saltgrass. My family and I all ordered our usual steak dinners. The meal was was delivered to the table and again I had to ask the server how come this Porter house looks like just another t-bone steak? The answer I got was sometimes they look like that, but I got charged the same price for the Porterhouse! This has happened to me a few times here. Beef futures must be at all time low. The rest of the meal was good, the team was great as well as the bread. We just need to stop cheating the public on the Porterhouse.

The Saltgrass Steakhouse is one of my goto places when there's one nearby and this one did not disappoint. I started with the Seafood Fondeaux appetizer and it was so big and so good I wound up having the steak salad for dinner instead of the bigger meal I was originally going to order. No regrets. The salad was good and the steak was perfectly prepared.

We had a better steak at Ruth Chris and a couple other Dallas steak houses--but paid a whole lot more too. For the price Saltgrass is tops in our book! Must say most of our favorite waiters/waitresses have gone on to other career roads and we need to visit more and develop our friendship with some of the new waiters. We will. Love their steaks, their salads. Don't care for their hot spicy appetizers. Wish they still served their skillet roman potatoes--but all in all great food and service!

I arrived in Dallas in the afternoon. We checked in and seen this restaurant close to hour hotel. The atmosphere is very inviting. You get a Texas flair, a lot of wood and you see a deer head. The waitress was very nice and very patient. We were able to ask a lot of questions. She brought us a hot mini bread, fresh out of the oven with a light sweet butter. That was good. Our food was delicious. The chicken was so juicy. Just awesome. My fiancé liked the potatoes a lot. All together, I definitely recommend this restaurant. Very good.

I would consider this a middle tier steak house with very good steaks at moderate prices. I've had better steaks, but I have paid a lot more for them. If you are looking for an above average steak without breaking your budget, this is a good option. Food was good and so was the service and atmosphere.

My husband and I visited Saltgrass last night and we both had a ribeye steak. The kitchen had a few issues. First our bread came out cold and tasted a little stale. Then my steak was cold enough that it would not melt the butter they put on top. Our waiter Antwan quickly resolved the issues each time. Antwan made our experience very enjoyable even with the issues.

Every time I am in Dallas, a visit to SaltGrass is a must. Love their juicy steaks. My favorite is the porterhouse steak. Baby back ribs are equally good. Cheese and bacon wrapped shrimps is another yummy choice. All the dishes are reasonably priced. Can find a decent bottle of wine around 15-20$. It is recommended to make a reservation for dinner. Can't wait to go back.

Steaks were very good. Prices were reasonable. Would return to this steakhouse again. Customer service was very good also.

Had not been to Saltgrass in years but the food was very good and the service was great. A little expensive to go often but good on occasion.

You are treated as a VIP from the minute you walk in, wait staff, food quality and atmosphere. I had the steak salad and it was the best salad I have ever had. Bathrooms and dinning room were very clean. Seem to be good for mid to upper parties.

Our family went to this restaurant after reading reviews. We waited at the entrance for 40 minutes with 20 other customers before being seated. There were 8 tables occupied out of 60/70 tables. Go figure. We then ordered and waited an hour for our meal. Most of it was wrong. We are unsure if they did not understand our Australian accents although they did repeat back. The waitress visited us every few minutes and was quite annoying. The food was actually very good once it came!

I usually order the wonderful ribeye steak at their Plano location but was in this part of town and decided to try their BBQ babyback ribs at this location. Glad I did! Their babyback ribs come either with a honey-glaze sauce or their also-great barbecue sauce. You can also order the ribs dry with the barbecue sauce on the side. As stated on their menu, definitely fall-off-the-bone tender. You can get these with a salad and also a choice of various sides - including tasty sweet potato fries. Service is excellent at this location.

I visited this steak house together with my colleague around 18:00 on Saturday. It’s an authentic steak house and seems to be famous in Dallas area. We ordered Rib Eye and Prime Rib together with fried mushroom as an appetizer. Even though I order to cook my Rib Eye in rare, the center of meat was not cold, but warm. That realized me this steak house really knows the proper way to cook steaks. We enjoyed real steaks there. I would like to come back to this restaurant whenever I have a chance to stay around that area.

Nothing to write home about in my opinion. Staff as nice, food was just okay, service was a bit on the slow side. Food quality was average for a chain restruant. Lighting could be better and the seating made a bit more comfortable. Prices were moderate

For a special birthday family dinner we went to this location. It was an early weekday time (5:30 PM) and not at all busy. The service initial drink service and ordering taking was slow and surly with an attitude beyond reproach. That said, the food was OK. The steak was properly cooked to medium rare, but barely above room temperature as was the garlic mashed potatoes. The wait person never cracked a smile and must have gotten up on the wrong side of the bed. Still the eye rolls and surly attitude was not at all called for.

Saltgrass has always been a special place to take my family out for a celebration and we really enjoy their juicy steaks! Today cooks were a little slower than usual but after an amazing steak the 40 minutes we had to wait for our meal made it worthwhile!

Great Steak and Reasonable prices. 5 of us with 5 different choices. New York, T-Bone Filet and Prime Rib were spot on!! The Ribeye was just ok. Not as much flavor. Sides were outstanding. $20-$30 per meal. We will be back!!

I was visiting from England about 2 years ago and my friend took me to this place as he recommended the steak, I have to say ever since I've been back to Texas again last year and couldn't wait to go back there again! Great food, fairly priced, friendly staff and great atmosphere!

Food was really good. Though the waiter did misunderstand my husband's order and brought the wrong drink. The waiter was odd. He tossed the napkins on the table and was just odd. Loved the fact that you got a carafe of water and tea at your table.

As a jet-lagged group of eight, from Australia, we had not made a booking, but they accommodated us straight away. Really helpful staff who maintained the right balance of being attentive and letting us enjoy the meal. Fantastic food!

Arriving in Dallas and then Richardson on a Friday night, my family and I wanted a Texas steak dinner. I had a delicious steak, cooked medium, and a sweet potato that perfectly complemented the steak. We were served complementary bread and ordered fried mushrooms that were also delicious and piping hot with plenty for the 3 of us to enjoy. We were a little after the dinner hour (8 pm ish) and the restaurant was active but not crowded. So, we didn't have to wait for a table and didn't wait long for our food. The service was very good and the wait staff kept our drinks full. The atmosphere was great too, with a real Texas feel to it.

Not having a reservation, we arrived about 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon which was perfect timing. We were seated and subsequently served immediately. Our tea, bread, potato soup, garden salad, Caesar salad, chicken fried steak with gravy and garlic mashed potatoes was excellent! We were too full for dessert. In fact, we had to get a doggy bag. Good sized portions. Accomodating, friendly staff. When we left, we noticed that there was a small wait.

We eat at Saltgrass a lot (never at this location), but every single time I'm impressed with the service, first, and the food a close second. One teeny complaint - the brussel sprouts came with a spicy horseradish sauce - but the menu didn't say that. They were good, but not what I was expecting.

Our group had a variety of items and all were good. Mushrooms and medallions - very good Ribs and shrimp - Excellent Chicken fried steak - Good (more late) Salmon - tasty We went for lunch on a Sunday. The place was slowly filling up, but not crowded. The staff was pleasant and everyone greeted us when we entered. Overall, everything was ok. The food was good, the portions were good size and the service was fine. The only criticism relates tot he server checking tthat what he brings to the table is matching what was ordered. For example: My chicken fried steak was huge, but was served without any gravy! Who serves something like this without lots of gravy? I had to request gravy twice and then ask for more when they brought out a tiny cup of gravy. I know this sounds picky, but come on...it was a chicken fried steak!! The portions for all dishes were good size. The lunch menu is not available on the weekends, so dinner portions and dinner prices. Not much is less than $15.99 plus $3 drink plus tax and tip. The bill for three of us without dessert was $85 for a lunch!! Overall good food, but procey!

The food here is absolutely amazing. We were super disappointed by the service, but I'd put up with crappy service for the amazing food.

This was a very neat place, very Texan (we're from Maine). The server was good but, forgot a few condiments asked a couple of times. The food was very good but, expensive.

Sad to see this place go down hill under new managers. There were lots of tables open and they made us wait. The music was hard rock and blaring out, service was slow and wrong all the way around.

Our first visit, recommended by the Hyatt. The Caesar salad was plain, I have tasted worse and far better. Next time try the House Salad. My Center Cut Filet was cooked correctly, good thing I asked and ordered the Med rare rather than Medium. The 6 ounce Filet was very good and the melting butter gave it a nice flavor. The mashed garlic potato was really good. The wife also ordered the Center Cut Filet when the waiter suggested not getting the Prime Rib. Her baked potato was huge. For the money, no complaints on the steak. If you want premium cut Filet, go elsewhere. The flavor was good but far from exceptional. The bread was hot and had a good taste. Service was very good, better than expected. We will return again to try the BBQ Ribs.

My husband and I recently went to Saltgrass for Father's Day. The restaurant was packed but the service was efficient and excellent. We both enjoyed our dinners and cannot wait to go back again. Our waiter was delightful due to the crowded circumstances. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband & I had a wonderful dinner here because it was very close to the Embassy Suites. The dinner rolls were especially tasty, and the steak was melt-in-your-mouth delicious!

KateShia was great host !! 10/10 recommend food was gr8! Amazing ! Family friendly ! Steak was gr8! Outstanding service!!!!!!

My daughter and I had just finished shopping for four hours at IKEA after driving from NE Oklahoma, a road trip which took over five hours. We then had to find a hotel. By that time, we were extremely tired and hungry. From the very first moment we entered Saltgrass Steak House, we felt welcome. Our waiter lavished every amenity on us to make our meal a memorable one. The steaks we ordered were cooked to perfection and melted in our mouths (thanks to an unknown chef). When we finished, we were full, refreshed, and appreciative of the excellent service and food that we experienced. How did we find this awesome place? My daughter looked for area restaurants on TripAdvisor, and Saltgrass Steak House had great reviews. So, TripAdvisor deserves thanks for helping us find Saltgrass.

The service was great, staff was accommodating and the food was good. We eat at a lot of steakhouses and our only (for lack a better word) complaint was that the steaks are cut thin. They were good, don’t get me wrong but my husband prefers them thicker. We enjoyed our trip and David took great care of us!

Great food and service! Prices are very reasonable, especially before 4:00pm. The whole staff is very friendly!

We just got in from our flights and got to the restaurant not to long before it was closing time. We had a great experience with the food and especially the service. We never waited for anything and our server gave great recommendations. Food and drinks where awesome!!

My family ate there 3 times during our stay in Dallas. Service was wonderful. The food was cooked perfectly and according to our wishes. My husband LOVED the Bloody Marys!

We made a reservation cuz we had a party at 7 we were served by a very nice young lady named Jackie who is very uppity and helpful when we came to food selections also was very good at refilling drinks and refueling beer mugs the steak was one of the best prepared I have ever had and I generally go to steakhouses went on vacation side was okay but mostly the ambience and service is impeccable thanks again Jackie you made our meal

Food good. Service good. Food room temperature by time it reached me. Brussels sprouts were a good idea but way overcooked. Over reliance on marinades.

(FYI, I ate at the Saltgrass on the Tollway and Parker) I ordered the chopped steak smothered with onions and mushrooms, medium rare with onion strings. The food came exactly as ordered......and I cannot believe I ate the entire portion. Will return for another visit soon.

Had Quail appetizer it was so tasty! Steak was cooked just perfect and the wedge salad was a treat! Waiter was very attentive and always made sure we had plenty of Ice Tea! So nice to have a quiet meal with my husband!

We just landed and went in to use the loo but felt me must buy a drink. This place was everything I expected Texas to be. Friendly staff, proper western music, lots of cowboy memorelia and a good bar. The beer was cold, the margarita good, especially when an extra shot of tequila was added. We can't comment on the food but I dare say you'd get a good steak in this place, certainly the welcome was warn enough to make us go back if in the area again.

On the North side of Dallas. This was the best rated steakhouse we could find close to the hotel. Front desk folks recommended this place as well. Not a big fan of the beer bread but the food was really good. Everyone cleaned their plates. The Texas Roadhouse atmosphere was on point. Glad we stopped in.

I came for steak dinner, and it was very good. I think it's a very good value, because the prices are not so high as some other steakhouses in the area.

Great food experience, superb steaks, attentive staff, a great experience to have dinner at Saltgrass.

Excellent Service, and the food tasted great. I made the right choice for dinner. Ask for Collin and thank me later. 😊 A++++

Service was very friendly and effective. The ribs were prepared the way they should be, just falling of the bone bur still very moist.

The steaks were cooked as ordered and very juicy. Flavor was spot on. Atmosphere has that "hunting cabin in the country" feeling. Wall trophies may turn off some, but we felt it added an atmosphere of charm. Cloth napkins and reasonable service, although not overwhelming, complemented a pleasant evening meal. Definitely on our short list of places to go for a moderately priced steak.

We eat here twice a month and I have to say the food is always great and tastes amazing the staff is so friendly. This place has fast service. You gotta try the chocolate cake

Whenever I'm in the area I always stop in here for a great meal. Sometimes it's the sirloin steak and sometimes it's the chopped steak with mushroom gravy. I've never been disappointed with the meals and the peach tea here. Will go back again when in Dallas again.

Amazing steaks! Grilled shrimp is to die for! Love the salads! Service is amazing! Super fun western atmosphere! Staff is very friendly

Pretty good steak at a decent price. Lunch specials have some good values as well. This is a regular stop for business lunches in the area.

Worst bartender ever! He did not say three words whole time I was there. Stayed in back talking to friends and acted put out anytime I asked for anything. Seafood Fondue was good which spares them one star.

We had a great meal accompanied with a large margarita. Wedge salad was fresh and crisp. The steak was prepared as requested.

We had a short 25 minute wait we went on a Thursday evening, but the service from start to finish was Amazing!!!! Our server Arreona was so darn great and had the best sense of humor and put up with me and my silliness during the whole meal.

Went with family to saltgrass. Last couple trips I’ve had the chicken fried steak. Not goof. Tasteless and tough. I like their food but dont get the chicken fried steak. The range rattlers are winderful.

I've been a member of Landry's Select Club for a number of years but have never gone to a Saltgrass. Big mistake. I made a reservation for 7:00 PM that morning. We arrived about 5 minutes early and were shown right to our table - so far so good. The wait staff is efficient and very polite. The menu is pretty extensive - besides all manner of steaks, there is prime rib, there is chicken, shrimp, fish, burgers, various combination platters. Plenty to choose from. We started with Caesar salads (real Caesar dressing - you can taste the anchovy). I had the 12 oz ribeye ordered medium rare and that's exactly how it came out (about a third of it came home). My wife ordered the 6 oz filet mignon medium and it too was cooked perfectly (about 1/2 of this came home). I'm not a big filet mignon fan but this one was really good. The ribeye steak was pretty good too. Ribeyes are usually very very marbled and while this was the only fat that needed to be cut away was along the edge. I can't say enough. We each had a baked potato - mine plain hers loaded. A glass of wine and an iced tea - $60.00 plus tax & top. Pretty reasonable. Alas there are no Saltgrass restaurants near home bit this is worth returning to next trip here. It's a busy place so be prepared for a a marginally elevated noise level - it's ok.

Loved the restaurant, and the steaks were so tender and delicious!! The sweet potato and cinnamon butter was a perfect side dish! So very good!!!!

The overall service was excellent. The steaks were cooked to a perfect medium rare and the flavor was not lacking anything at all, sooo flavorful! The range rattlers though.... whewww buddy they are spicy, watch out.. they bite!!

New and very much the "in demand" place to gather. Staff works very hard to make sure your experience is a good one. Steaks are over seasoned. Appetizers are quite good. Tables are much too small to accommodate the food (water, appetizers, and salads) for four. Constant plate jockeying to make room for the food and drinks. Since this eatery is a new venue (used to be Joe's Crab Shack), the wait last night was over an hour at 6:30. Glad I made reservations a week out as we walked in, waiting no more than five minutes. Servers and staff really worked hard and happily to make sure everything was correct and customers satisfied. I will return, but it's not on my top 5 or top 10 for steak. Margaritas were excellent.

Received poor service from waiter, order was wrong, never came back after we received food to apologize for his error or to refill drinks. Have always had good service at other Salt Grass locations, won’t be visiting this location again when in Dallas.

I was privileged to be a guest as this was the place that I was graced to dine. The service was exceptional and the food was even better... I look forward to another steak as tasteful and delectable as this was! I’d recommend this to anyone traveling to this area!

We ate here with friends earlier this week. The server was extremely helpful and offered suggestions on different items to order. I had the steak, shrimp, mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. The flavors were amazing and I would happily order this meal again.

It was a Thursday evening and it was not that busy. No wait to sit down. The fried mushrooms are the perfect appetizer. I had the steak and grilled shrimp combo that was made to perfection! Great steaks and shrimp!

Maybe I am jaded, but when I am dropping $100+ on dinner for Mother's Day, I expect decent service. I know the store is busy, but I counted no less than 25 waitstaff and 4 managers on the floor. Our waitress had 3 tables. EVERYTHING I ordered had a problem - minor problems, but a problem none the less, from asking for no ice and got ice to dressing on the side and the salad came slathered in it to a mystery sauce with my plain brussels sprouts. All were from not listening. Then, in an effort to be "helpful", she wanted to clear away the appetizer WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING IT!!! Huh??? After the meal, again to be helpful, she wanted to reach over my husband to clear my plate - HE WAS STILL EATING!!! At this point, I had had enough. I told her, "No, thank you, You may clear when ALL have finished eating." When he had finished, another waiter came to clear the table and refill our drinks. Then the second waiter brought the bill. My husband asked what happened to the waitress and was told she's getting ready for a big party coming in. Except she was still dealing with the other 2 tables she had. So she dropped us. The food was great - the 3 of us all had our steaks cooked perfectly! The sides were delicious and plentiful. The Spinach Artichoke dip was good, not great, but the chips to dip it with were nice. We probably wouldn't order that again, but everything else was spot-on.

Hubby and daughter took me to this wonderful restaurant. Great food and lots of it, happy/helpful service, nice relaxed country music and not too loud, used my Landry's points card and my birthday meal got me $25 off my meal...BONUS! Thanks Saltgrass you always make me happy!

The atmosphere and quality of food for the price is a good deal. We go every Sunday after church and the Wait staff greets us warmly. Join the Landry’s Club for rewards and even more special service. I love the Wedge Salad made with a mix of Ranch Dressing and Balsalmic Vinaigrette

We were seated right away and the entire staff was very friendly. Our server was very helpful in helping accommodate my food allergies and was very attentive. The steak was amazing like we had heard, but the dessert may have been the best thing I have ever eaten...wish I could remember what it was called, but there was a cookie, brownie, Carmel and ice cream. Wish we had one in Indiana!!

Well, 1 star says it all. I realize when you order food to be delivered, it will never be as good as eating inside. However, the quality control on the food I received was beyond horrible. Not only was lettuce totally wilted but brown and black. The onions were soggy? The burger was precooked and gross. The steaks not cooked properly as well as the one drink that was ordered was incorrect. I called the manager on duty and told her of the issues and she said sorry. I asked her if she would give me her email and I would send her pictures. She wasn’t interested. How does a national chain like this allow food to go out the door like this? $100 order for 4 people with $20 tip for grubhub? My mistake

This is a excellent local chain. The service was great, even though we here at dinner time. the server was prompted and attentive.. I had the ribs that were falling off the bone. with a great balance of smoke and BBQ, another member of our party had a steak that was prepared as ordered.. Even though this is a chain it is far better in quality and service than outback or other chains. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the Dallas area

Well done restaurant, great service, a good mixed drink, steak, potato, everything was done well and tasted good. I would go back.

This was my first visit to this Saltgrass. The food was as excellent as expected from visits to other locations. Their dinner salads are great. I always get the NY strip, but I decided to try the baby back ribs and grilled shrimp combo. Both had outstanding flavor, and the rib meat just fell off the bone. The service was great from start to finish.

Saltgrass steakhouse is one of our favorite places to eat when we visit Texas. We had an outstanding steak, fillet in their pork chops are to die for.

Arrived around 745 to a packed parking lot. We were thinking there would be a wait but we got right in. Our host wasn't very friendly but the waiter Connor made up for it. He was very personable and outgoing. We ordered drinks (coronarita for me.. very good) Ordered the cheese fries appetizer. What. And was not cheese fries. Rather it was chunks of potatoes smothered in cheese with sour cream and ranch. They were amazing. My son and I both ordered the gulf coast steak and shrimp. The waiter recommended the barbecue shrimp which were out of this world... basically stuffed shrimp with cream cheese and jalapeño and wrapped in bacon dipped in BBQ sauce. Amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly. We got it smothered and it added that much more. My hubby got the prime rib. The spice rub on it was out of this world. And first time in a long time that all three of us had leftovers. Overall the food was delicious and reasonably priced. The waiter was great. Just the right amount of attention to our table and so friendly. Thanks Connor! Would definitely recommend!

We visited this restaurant for a birthday celebration, not necessarily by choice. To start the experience off the severs seemed hurried, even though the restaurant was only about half full. There was a bit of confusion just getting everyone's drink orders sorted out. The food came out in an average amount of time and the taste was decent, but not the best I've ever had. This could have been a better experience for me and my family except that the fire alarm went off twice during our meal. And also, in my opinion, the prices seem higher then other steak restaurants for food that is the same in quality and taste. I personally wouldn't recommend it if your looking for a steak house.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our late lunch at this restaurant. We were both quite hungry after a day of air travel and could not be more pleased with our meals. I enjoyed the best beef brisket sandwich I have ever eaten and my husband enjoyed his ribs. We enjoyed warm, freshly baked bread while waiting for our food. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. What a great meal and at a reasonable price.

This was a very typical Saltgrass restaurant. The food was very good but presented more like fast food and not the great steak that I ordered. The beer menu sucks. No creativity here just the typical domestic brews. Why not feature a Texas microbrew? The restaurant just seemed tired. It was pretty dirty. The worst part of my visit to this restaurant was that it took way to long. My dinner was served 30 minutes after I placed my order with the server and it took the server about 20 minutes to bring my bill. While I know that I will eat at another Saltgrass, I will not eat at this location again and I am certainly not in any rush to eat at another Saltgrass location. Their are a lot of other good restaurants that I can eat at that are cleaner and provide a better experience.

Every time I come to Texas to go to Saltgrass. This one was no different, great food, great service, great time. Everyone was super friendly and my waiter Miguel was above and beyond! He double checked to make there was no sour cream on my potato, checked on me often and arranged for both my take home cheesecake and water. My steak was perfectly cooked and I will continue be a Saltgrass fan!

Basic steakhouse chain restaurant. They offer many items in addition to steak. Service was not up to par. I ordered a chicken dish and ended up getting a different chicken entree that was no longer on the menu but was still on the touch screen the server used. She just explained she hit the wrong button. She halfheartedly offered to change the order. However others in the party were eating and based on how long it took to get the meal I elected to keep the dish which ended up being good. Another member of the party did not like what she ordered and ended up leaving most of her meal. Not our best outing.

This is a great stop for a good steak. The pricing isn't not outrageous, but you can expect your money's worth. The service was very good. They seemed to get a little distracted as the busyness of the evening picked up, but that sometimes is expected. The food was very good. I really enjoy their steaks.

My wife and I had dinner on 10/26/2018 each ordered 6 ounce sirloin with three grilled shrimp for a price of $17.95. Steak was a little dry and shrimp seasoning too salty. When presented bill, much to my surprise the cost of each dinner was $23.99. Questioned the server, Charmaine, about the cost and advised that we had ordered the six ounce sirloin. She stated that she would adjust the bill. Charmaine then walked over to another server and my wife overheard the conversation between our server Charmaine and the other server who stated "tell them that the $17.95 price is for the lunch sirloin". Charmaine then stated to me that she could not adjust the bill to the six ounce sirloin as this was a lunch price. We didn't have time to request to speak with a manager so we paid the $23.99 per meal. This is a chain restaurant and quite honestly the food was mediocre at best. Recommend - Stay away for Salt grass Steak House.

place is great if you want a steak, would recommend to go to again. good atmosphere and service. yummy

We are here around 11:30 a.m today . Our waiter was great . We had rattlers as an appetizer . They are huge and wonderful. The peppers are spicy but not hot . Shrimp was perfect . My 8 year old had a kids order of ribs . They were falling off of bone . My husband ,daughter and I all had steaks.. I'm an A1 fan but no steak sauce needed here . The restaurant is very clean . The atmosphere is great .. would love to come back if we ever return to Dallas ...My only complaint is we all left miserable and stuffed !

Wow!! Saltgrass is one of our favorite chain steak houses, we cannot review this location because when we called for a reservation and asked for around a certain certain time, the person on the phone told me they had too many reservations for that time they had 2 15 tops coming in. That was the end of the conversation by the employee answering phone. “Bye Felecia” Very bad customer service!!! There is a lot of competition out there, we are dining anyone of them.

My husband I both enjoy chopped steak occasionally, and last night we had outstanding meals, and service, at this restaurant. The chopped steaks were perfectly cooked. Side salads were quite good, and the baked sweet potato was fantastic. Our waitress, Amanda, provided outstanding service, as well. Will definitely return. Music too loud for easy conversation.

When you plan on spending upwards of a hundred dollars for a good steak meal with your wife, you expect certain things. We'd like to have the food served in a reasonable time frame - it wasn't. Since we were short on time, we didn't order any appetizers, just two drinks (wanted to be out of there by 7:30 PM because we had 8:00 PM theater tickets). Entered the restaurant at 6 PM, expecting to be gone in 90 minutes. Sounds reasonable to me. It was 7:50 PM by the time the check was printed. We'd like to have our entrees cooked the way we wanted them - they weren't - didn't complain, because we needed to be out of there. Expected our sides to be what we ordered - one out of 4 didn't make it: ordered mashed potatoes, got a baked potato. The bill for us (2 of 4) was $70, so I gave him a $100 bill. The other couple gave them a $100 gift certificate. 15 minutes later, one of the other waiters was explaining that our waiter didn't have change for a $100 and he didn't know what to do. He finally returned to the table with the change. Luckily, I counted it - he had given me my whole $100 back, just in small denominations. When he came back, I told him "thanks for the meal". He was naturally confused. I showed him what he had done, then took what was my proper change, and said good night. He excused his errors and delays with "this is my first day." I should feel sorry for him, but why would management put someone out there on their first day on a Saturday night. What kind of management wouldn't have trained him on how to give out change. I guess it could be that he was trained, just didn't learn.

Stopped in for dinner. Had a great ribeye which was prepared perfectly. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere.l

We don't eat here often because of the prices, but it is to be expected with a steak house. If you have the spare money and don't have a Saltgrass from your home town this is a must eat place! Been here a few times and the food is always tasty! Nothing fancy or memorable other than the great steak. It's worth a shot for the traveler.

We had a pre Thanksgiving family dinner at Saltgrass. The steaks were very good. My son enjoyed his baby back ribs too. We had really good service too. Enjoyed our night to be thankful for good food and family.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and the service has consistently been excellent. It is one of very few restaurants where I can order a top sirloin that is tender, cooked a perfect medium rare, and it hot when it arrives at my table. They accommodate special requests like bringing me garlic powder and fresh ground pepper for my steak at no extra charge.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal at Salt Grass Steak House tonight located on Central Expressway in Dallas. Great steaks and a super attentive waiter (named Tunc) made our evening particularly special. Salt Grass is our go-to restaurant for a long week or special occasion and is relatively budget friendly. Be sure to try the Queso with Cheese as a starter and follow it with a mouth watering ribeye steak or the cut of your choice. And of course, the cocktail of your choice. The bar is fully equipped to take the edge off. If not so hungry, the Hill Country Salad is awesome and a meal in itself. Try Salt Grass, if you haven’t already. You won’t be disappointed!

In town on business and this was close to the hotel.... Salad was blaaaa for some reason. The appetizer was a guacamole dish... EXCELENT. T-Bone was really good too. Long island ice tea was great also.

Good service. Atmosphere was typical chain restaurant decor and feel. Food was average. Steaks were ok and chopped steak was chewy. I am not a big fan of most chains as looking for something special or unique.

This was my first time eating here and so glad we tried it. We were visiting Dallas and thought why not. This is so much better than Longhorn or Outback. I had the steak sandwich and potato soup. My husband had the steak tips. Everything was amazing. The service was great. Friendly staff all around. The price was amazing for what you got. Wish there was one in my neighborhood.

Excellent meals. I had the shrimp which were huge and very flavorful and my husband had the steak which the prepared perfectly. Check it out.

Met family for a late lunch. Restaurant was very thinned out. Waitress was Ok, but not what I have come to expect at Saltgrass/Landry restaurant. She was just doing her job, nothing more, no smiles, bored. The two managers that visited our table b/c we are Landry members were very friendly and professional. Appetizers of fried mushrooms were good, not greasy and seafood fondue was pretty good, but would not order again. Too rich and being on garlic bread was too filling. Everyone that had steaks were all very pleased. We will go back to this location.

We were at the Sheraton around the corner and thought we would just grab a bite. It was ok. The decor is delightful. I had a salad that was large and fulfilling. It is equivalent to a Cattlemans here in California, I would guess. I wouldn't come back. Once was enough, it did the job.

Had dinner here for the first time. Good atmosphere and great service. Food was good as well. I had the small filet and others had the pork chop. Only issues were pork chop slightly undercooked. After meals was finished and check was paid server let all drinks run out. He cane back when signaled but we shouldn’t have to work to keep his attention.

Best restaurant ever.Service was the best and our Waiter Joey was awesome. We were celebrating our 4year anniversary and he made it extra special. We will definitely be back.

I'd go back again. Ribs were fall off the bone delicious. Prime rib was very good. (Almost one of the best I've had). I absolutely love the "white cosmo martinis" Wasn't a big fan of the seafood fondeaux, but that's because I'm not a huge seafood person. The entrees were awesome though!

We went on a Friday night and were seated immediately in a packed house. Had special cocktail request and bartender came to our table to discuss - did a great job. Salad came out before appetizer - salad was crisp and fresh - good croutons and basamic dressing. Bacon wrapped quail appetizer was good with a yummy jalepeno cream sauce and the Brussels sprouts were crazy good. Mushrooms and onions on smothered steak were a little salty but all in all hit the spot. Leftovers made great breakfast!

We do not care to eat here again. The potato soup was not good. It was so thick and not the usual taste. I read about the ribs being so good here but those people must not know what ribs should taste like. The waitress was super sweet and attentive.

Family restaurant, friendly staff, food to satisfy various tastes. We were a group of 18, and everyone was able to order food to their liking.

We went to Saltgrass for the first time while visiting Dallas for the weekend. I really do not understand the attraction to this place. All of the food tasted like pre-packaged frozen dinner items that you get from a grocery store. Nothing tasted fresh or like it was made from scratch.Their prices are very high, approximately 15-20 dollars per plate. I don''t mind paying that if the food is good, but this place is way overpriced for sub-par food!! We will never visit another Saltgrass again!

We had lunch at Saltgrass on 8/16/2016. We ordered sirloin steak, shrimp, and sirloin tips. The food was good. The services were friendly. However we couldn't get our gift card work.

Close to the hotel. I’ve eaten at the chain before so I was familiar with the food, it’s kind of like your Outback or roadhouse steak place. It’s not high-end like Ruth Chris or Capital Grill but a good in-between place. Service was good (a little slow) but good. Wedge salad was great. The filet as great!

Like many others, we were there for a celebration. We were nicely greeted, and seated promptly. Our server was friendly, and kept dinner moving along with good timing between the appetizer and the meal. He also kept glasses full and had offered good menu suggestions. I will note that the table bread has changed, and is not as good as what I remember, but the meal was delicious. Steaks were cooked as ordered, the ribs were spot on and the chicken was perfect. The restaurant was crowded, and there was plenty of noise between other patrons, the football game on TV, and music, but is didn't seem to intrude on dinner. We weren't there expecting an elegant white tablecloth service. This is one of my husband's favorite steak places, and I am sure we will be back again!

While in Dallas we found the Saltgrass Steakhouse. Our family enjoyed the atmosphere and the decor was very nice. The food was excellent as well as the service. A good menu and lots of food for the price. Easy to get to as it sits right off the interstate.

Hannah is fun and super attentive. She cheers on my Dallas Cowboys. I always enjoy our visits. Food and drinks are great. I recommend all Saltgrass locations to friends and family.

Food worth the trouble of navigating the one-way streets to get here. This is our go-to family dining experience when ever we are in Dallas. And it was been for years. Nice selections and food is well prepared.

We have eaten at Saltgras in other cities and really enjoyed the experience. I ordered a 6oz Center cut filet steak and it was served with a butter patty on top. The steak was dry and tough! I don't think it was a center cut filet. I did not mention it to the waiter though and I just didn't eat it.

Saltgrass is a popular casual steak house throughout Texas with a cowboy motiff. Tables and booths with televisions located throughout the restaurant, however, they are not loud. Extensive menu of steaks (naturally, it's Texas), fish, salads, sandwiches and burgers. Generous portions. Our group of 3 had the Memphis Hot Chicken sandwich which was VERY good, salmon and small sirloin steak were also delicious and well prepared. Steak was perfectly done, lean and very tender. Good dinner salad, perfect fries. Nice wines, beers and cocktails. Service was friendly, quite efficient and the price was very fair. Plenty of parking.

I had the chips & trio sauce for an appetizer, barely ate any chips when my salad arrived, almost finished my salad & my 16oz ribeye was there. It was a good steak (cooked a perfect med-rare), reasonable cost at $28. There were a few Saltgrass Steak House's in the Dallas area. I would go again when I'm back in the area.

I went to meet my sister in law and colleague for dinner with my husband, daughter and mom in law. It was kinda packed, no big deal. They were waiting for us at a table. Now I understand that being in a wheelchair can be in the way for waiters and waitress to get around. However, my husband was told to put me in a corner where I wouldn't be able to get through between tables and a major hazzard for one. If anything could of happened, it would of been difficult for anyone in a wheelchair to get out. 2 there was plenty of room on the another side of tge table and plenty of space between the wall and table. And the staff was able to work with plenty of room to spare. 3.... it took way over an hour to get our food. The waitress had horrible bedside manners and food was cold. You ask why didnt we go to another place. We should of no doubt. But, seeing that my sister and her friend had gotten their appetizers and drinks when we got there, we didn't think our experience was going to be horrible. Hopefully, that establishment has improved in a big way.

It was excellent food as always and our waitress Kateshia did an awesome job. The place is nice and clean. The atmosphere is very nice and everyone is friendly. Great place to go eat. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I walked in I asked to sit at a table, the host nicely recommended I sat at the bar. She told me it was full service so I just went for it. I was greeted by the bartender right away. I wasn't planning on drinking but she offered me a margarita to start so I couldn't deny it. I ended up ordering a rib eye cooked medium.. It came out medium & perfectly seasoned. Bartender was very attentive to me even thou I never got her name. A manager (Anthony I think is what the servers called him) also asked me how everything was going. Loved this place. Great service, amazing food, and loved the music/atmosphere.

This was the 2nd time my colleagues and I stopped here for dinner before heading to the airport the next morning. I have to say it's been very good and consistent. I ordered the filet both times and I wasn't disappointed. The only reasons I didn't give it an excellent review would be the wine choices and the fact it's a chain (and feels like a chain). So if you're okay with that, it's a great place for a good steak. And I'd definitely go back again.

Driving down to DFW from the north, this was one of the few restaurants open. Enjoyed a chicken preparation. Service was good and a great value.

This is my favorite steak restaurant. I have gotten the same order for years or as long as I can remember. Gulf coast steak and shrimp grilled. You won’t go wrong!

The food and hospitality was great. We ate there after checking in the hotel and wanted something close and reasonable price. The food was delicious and the staff was on point. Would come back again to eat and recommend all to try this place out. Good for family and groups.

Staff was great but they need better quality steaks. Cut too thin and not worth the money. Would not return.

Outstanding steaks, delicious sides, and great service. This is well-run and Texas steak at its finest. The gluten-free bread is excellent. Very reasonably prices, especially in light of higher-end steak places.

This is the steakhouse I visited October with two friends. The appetizer selection was excellent and the margaritas were dynamite. The porterhouse steak was excellent as well. Reservations are suggesting for Friday and Saturday nights is this place was busy. Overall is very good steakhouse.

This restaurant is well managed. The steaks are great, and reasonably priced. They have good salads, and great bar. The service is also good, and they are reasonably priced.

I had their T-Bone, herb rice and their seafood fondue, the taste of each dish exploded in my mouth. Incredible 😉 I will sure visit the restaurant whenever I'm in Dallas. 🏅

Steak was SO good! We ate Maudeen's center cut filet based on our server's recommendation. Oh my was this delicious! I ate it slow and savoured every bite! Our salad was cold and delicious. Their dressings are made fresh in house. If you like Bleu cheese, you need to order it and add the Bleu cheese crumbles to your steak. Yum! Service was stellar and even though we were there during a busy time, the restaurant was clean. I appreciate that. Great service. Great food. Great location. We will return!

The food was good. From the bread, to the apps, to the steaks, simply great. Tasty, well cooked. The service kinda lacked, from the host on down (I asked for a booth, we received a half booth and then got laughed at when I said it wasn't what I asked for), but the food made up for it.

Visiting from Ohio. Have fond memories of Saltgrass from years ago. Went Friday about 615pm with group of 7. Five adults & two adolescent girls. Didn’t have a reservation but were seated quickly. Place was crowded even. Greeters & servers were excellent. No complaints in that area. Oddly my concern is how quick they served everything! Ordered 2 appetizers. Not even half through before the salads & soups were brought out. Table space is getting crowded now. Then not even half through with my salad & our meals came out. I had the Wagon Boss 8oz med rare. I was disappointed. Cooked perfectly but flavor was lacking & a bit tough. Others got ribs that they enjoyed. Desserts were wonderful however, I’m not certain I would return. Wasn’t the caliber/quality I anticipated.

Finding an independent steakhouse for lunch on a Sunday seemed to be beyond our capabilities. So we went for a chain and stopped at this Saltgrass on our way down to Dallas. We took the smothered filet and the NY strip. Meat was tender, juicy and cooked as per our requests. Quite decent for a chain. Our waitress was friendly but a bit inattentive.

Brought my daughter here for the first time and ordered the ribeye bone in and she said it was the best steak she ever had in her 20 year life!By sharing your experiences, you're helping travelers make better choices and plan their dream trips. Thank you!

We went there for first time in Dallas with large family. Soon we found out how great the steaks and service was. I joined their loyalty program did not know they charge $25 dollars but credit your bill next time you come in and since we ended up going there 3 nights out of 5 6 days stay we loyalty was used next next time. We really enjoyed the food. Service was awesome

Stopped in with a party of six. IT was a week night and they weren't very busy. We all ordered steaks and all were cooked wrong and arrived cold. One person ordered a well done steak (not me) that was nearly rare, how does that happen. To top it off the server spent a great deal of time trying to sell us a loyalty card to Landry's. A sales pitch with my meal was not fun, he came back 3 times telling us we were missing out by not buying this card. I didn't enjoy the food or the experience.

Our big group was easily accommodated by this great restaurant. Server was great with our diverse family - ages range 5 to 85. Food was delicious. Kids were happy, teens were happy, adults were happy. Always pleased with Saltgrass.

My first time in Dallas and first time at Saltgrass Steakhouse. The steak was so tender and flavoursome. Just melted in my mouth. The side dishes were great too. I had the garlic mash potatoes and a side salad. The grilled pineapple margarita was amazing! Great recommendation by the waitress. Great meal and the service was outstanding. Loved the dining experience and would recommend it!

Eight of us enjoyed lunch with excellent service. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and they have lots of room in this nice restaurant. There are plenty of good choices on the lunch menu.

I enjoyed their surf and turf special and a wedge salad. That will be my new go-to. The staff is always friendly. I have eaten at three different Salt Lake locations and all good. Recommended.

Enjoyed a Greek salad as well as grilled Salmon. Server very attentive but disliked his attitude as if I needed to order a hefty steak as he recommended. He should be pleased to take my order without personal comment. Salmon was cooked perfectly, moist and tender which surprised me as often it is served overcooked.

I like Saltgrass a lot so I didn't expect anything less than good food and good service. They more than met my expectations. We had lunch there and instead of an entree I got a salad and an appetizer. The food is plentiful and is always served at the correct temperature. The other people at the table liked their food. Service was fast and we got back to our seminar in plenty of time.

This is our second visit to this chain but the first visit to the Dallas site. Being a middle class family, I would say that it is a little pricey to eat here. Having said that, the food was delicious and the dining experience was enjoyable. The service was good but a little slow. I think we arrived a little before the evening staff started. As we sat at our table we saw more staff arriving in the back parking lot. Then it seemed like everything was flowing better. Look forward to dining there again. Melt in your mouth steak!

AWESOME service by Ryan!! Everyone was friendly. Fairly easy to get and prices was good. My steak was perfect!

Staff was super friendly. Food was also good but the potatoe was a bit dry an the steak more done than medium. I was a bit dissappointed by that fact, as I expect a perfect steak whenever I'm at a steak house. Furthermore a pint of beer for 7$ + tax + tip is also everything but cheap.

Saltgrass never disappoints! The service is always friendly and professional and the food is always at the top of the game.

Greeted promptly, received my drink immediatley. Bar tenders made sure to keep my beer full. Order was taken in a reasonable amount of time. Food arrived, quick, got, and exactly as it was ordered (cudos!). Steak seems of good quality, sides were tasty, and the service was outstanding. I would go back.

Great service, food & drinks! Prime rib, steaks & chicken are our menu faves. They also have a full bar which makes a social lunch or dinner visit enjoyable.

The lunch option is very good and reasonably priced - wide selection of meat choices and salad options. We came here for team happy hour - the snacks are really delicious especially the deep fried mushrooms and the bbq flavored chicken bites. My favorite drink is frozen margaritas and they serve it well
Fantastic
The staff were friendly and attentive to their customers. The steak I ordered, 16 oz rib eye, was cooked perfectly and it was delicious. I had the steak fries as my side. They are very different at Saltgrass. They're big chunks of fresh cut potatoes fried with skins on and with onions. Kind of like the home fries my mom used to cook in her cast iron skillet only bigger. Highly recommended.
