Our server, Joanie, was lovely.

By Jef F |

Probably not the fanciest of Buffet's in Vegas, but good value, and very friendly. Food was good, and it wasn't too crowded.

Way too expensive for what you get

By rickg53 |

The food was your typical buffet spread but the selection is really small. The price you pay is similar to what you would pay at nicer restaurant. I walked in after paying almost 30.00 and was like, "Is this it?" If you want what you pay for go to Main street Station buffet. It's a little cheaper but you have a lot more to choose from.

Good

By rjones1502 |

If you're in the Nugget, this is a great place to take a break and catch a meal: breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Not as good as in the past

By asmwmom |

We had eaten here on other trips to Vegas and were usually pleased with the selections. On Halloween however, we felt that for the price we paid and how close together the tables were, we were pretty disappointed. The one really good item was the prime rib, which was about the best we have eaten! The rest including the desserts were just sub-par at best. Probably will try somewhere else next time.

Brilliant breakfast

By jill r |

Wonderful area on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool. Great choice of cold and hot buffet, very good service, comfortable seating

Quality of food and service not on par with other Locations

By 81artmonk |

Have been to other Saltgrasses around the US and was looking forward to this one. To my surprise the experience and food was way below standard. Once our order was taken we didn't see our waiter at all. We had to wait just 15 mins for someone to come back to our table because our steaks were cooked incorrectly. I timed it on my phone, from the time someone came to take our steaks away to correct the problem till they came back and our waiter was notified....(my steak was cooed wrong a second time as well) it took 28 mins for our waiter to come check on us. He never came back to ask if we wanted refills on our drinks nothing.......This particular restaurant is a bit pricey and what you get isn't on par with other locations. I ordered a steak and it only came with one side instead of two like at other locations and soup and salad was an extra $5. Which you get at other locations with your meal. When the meal came, it was just a steak and small amount of mashed potatoes. For almost $30. The steak was sub-par as well, of grizzle and inedible fatty pieces. The Mashed potatoes were IMO overly seasoned with garlic. Overall the experience was less than other other locations I have been too for the price we were charged. I would not go back to this location

Golden Nugget Buffet

By TeeTraveler |

Not bad. The price was right. The food choices were varied to satisfy most diversified palates and the food tasted freshly cooked.

Worst buffet in Vegas

By Christina C |

I have had the chance to experience over 10 buffets on the strip and Fremont and this one rates at the bottom the list for me I was very disappointed the food it was cold disgusting and very few choices however our server was amazing she was very sweet

best buffet on Fremont

By Jim N |

Good service and value for the money. Even better if you get the two for one coupons from the hotel.

Yummy

By Kathy G |

Came in for breakfast, the Taco’s were delicious as was the Steak Salad. If given the opportunity ~ ask for Ty!

Good food and atmosphere

By HollieK |

Super friendly staff and fast service. Food wasn’t priced too bad. Food was very well prepared and the cheesecake was amazing! Not the place for a quiet meal.

Delicious breakfast buffet

By Dothove |

The breakfast buffet had numerous food choices and everything was delicious. The staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. Only downside is at $16.99 plus tax, I never can eat my share of the food for that price. So be sure and come hungry!

Great for Lunch

By birtleman |

The buffet was well priced and the food was great. The prime rib was some of the best we had. The service was excellent and there was a great choice.

Ok buffet

By kariandnoah |

Ok buffet, good selection and plenty of salads and desserts to choose from too. The only issue I had was I don’t like how long it takes someone to come Over and ask for our drink order. We were half done eating by the time We got a drink

It was decent price for steak in this town

By yasemin2k |

It was good steak salad, and good steak included side dish unlike fancy steak restaurants in Caesar Palace or hotels like that🙃 price was decent as well.

Great bang for your buck

By Milton traveler |

I heard so much about this place that we had to go. We had the all you can eat steak and it was delicious. Good cuts of meat and the other fixings were good. $15.99US which came to $20 tax and tip was well worth it. Cheaper than the buffets in the strip.

Good buffet for the price

By Peter F |

Stumbled on this buffet during a visit to old vegas. Standard fare with some nice specialties. Well worth the price as it is much less expensive than those on the strip. Less pretentious and a bit friendlier too. Would definitely go back

Hours inconsistent

By Ty R |

Told by staff dirtying the day they took seatings till 11pm then turned away at 10:15. Very annoying because the person after me that walked up got sat. Apparently you just have to know the staff. Reading other reviews the food is mediocre at best. Definitely eat early, because for some reason they do not keep regular hours.

Not outstanding, not horrible, but perfect for what you need after crashing at 4am

By Jason D |

All of the staples are here. Plenty of eggs, pig meats, bread products, juices, omelette station, some carved things...you know, the typical breakfast buffet. For under 20 bucks to kill what hurts me? Yep, I'll hit it every time.

Excellent Value for Money

By Kadriscoll |

The choices at the Golden Nugget Buffet are definitely more limited than the buffets on the strip. I won’t pretend otherwise. However, if you hit this buffet before doing a strip buffet, you will probably find the selection to be pretty awesome. Everything is tasty and the staff is friendly. This buffet is the same as most other casino buffets in Las Vegas in that there is no washroom in it. However, you don’t need to go back out into the casino to find the washroom. There is one right next to it and it is very clean. No issues leaving for washroom and coming back. The price is great. We ate for less than $20 apiece.

Excellent, extremely large Selection

By 87vette |

Excellent selection, good service, Breakfast is the best. Convenient and fast, centrally located in Hotel. You will enjoy and gain a few pounds.

Casual Meal with Great Atmosphere

By SunNStars |

Chose to make a reservation here on our way back from the NFL game and glad I had a reservation as there was a 2 hour wait when we arrived. Friendly servers, decent food at reasonable prices. Not a high end steakhouse but perfectly fresh, hot and tasty food with a great lively atmosphere.

Bring your appetite

By Taylor B |

The buffet at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino isn't as large or as elaborate as other buffets on the Las Vegas Strip but it is more reasonably priced. And there is more than enough food to satisfy every appetite. There are live cooking stations that produce 100 choices of Asian, Italian and American cuisine for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Located at 129 Fremont Street, on the second floor, it is open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday in the winter but open seven days a week during the summer. The salad bar offers five types of fruit, four types of lettuce, 12 salad condiments and six types of salad dressing. The meat section offers beef sirloin steak, sausages, honey-glazed ham, roasted turkey and baked chicken. The Asian section features four types of sushi. The Italian area offers four types of pizza, meatballs, garlic bread, chilled peel 'n eat shrimp, crab legs, chicken parmesan and seafood tortellini. How about dessert? There are eight ice cream flavors, including orange sherbet, raspberry sorbet, cookies and cream, caramel swirl, butter pecan, chocolate and vanilla bean. Also apple cobbler, bread pudding, tarts, brownies, eclairs, flan, parfaits and several varieties of pies and cakes. Bring your appetite.

Prime Rib Brunch on Sunday

By PattiFlorida |

We had good food, but the $25.00 price tag was SO not worth what you got. May be more ppl would take advantage of the buffet at a lesser price. Even $18.99 would have made me feel better about it. No real problems. Just So-So. THANKS

Rip Off. Being from Houston Texas & being a Landry’s Select club member, I was shocked to say the least. Shame on them.

By Richard A |

Overpriced rip off compared to the real Saltgrass in Texas, they should be ashamed to call themselves Saltgrass. This is a classic case of taking advantage of a consumer just because they are in a Las Vegas casino. Tillman F. shame on you.

Good for breakfast

By Megan C |

We chose them for a late breakfast. The service was friendly, the wait time for food was short, and the food was perfect portions. We would eat there again.

Saltgrass Steakhouse - The Golden Nugget 129 Fremont St Las Vegas, Nevada

By C J |

Service was very slowwwwww. The filet mignon that I ordered was not a usual filet but some other type of piece of beef. So many more steak houses that are far better. Go to them before you go here.

Reasonable Price, All Meats were dry and worn out

By Bill H |

The price was very reasonable. The Fajita Meat was tough as beef jerky, Pork chops dry as chalk, the Mongolian Beef was tolerable, Salad was great and pizza was ok. Would not go back

Could be $16....Could be $30

By AlwaysOntheGo |

Depends (not the ones you pee in) on the day you go. Not that its any better on friday or saturday, but for some odd reason (insert you're own speculation here) they double the price on those days. Not any better than any random all you can eat buffet anywhere in the USA. In fact I found this one to be highly over rated.

Variety and tastiness

By Ivonette C |

Right before leaving Vegas we decided to visit old town and whole there we ha lunch/buffet at the Golden Nugget. Reasonable price compared to all the restaurants around. Recommend.

Lunch buffet

By tolly246 |

Beautiful presentation. Foods are excellent; desserts are remarkable; waiter was terrific; beautiful setting as was every restaurant in the Nugget excluding the Grill.

good but expensive

By 901tammyv |

We went here for the Breakfast Buffet. They had a Very good selection of food. and the Dessert were amazing. It was pretty pricey for a breakfast buffet. By the time we left with tip almost $60 for two people. Needless to say we didn't go back the second day. found a cheaper buffet. But again the food was good. so if you don't care about price I would recommend it.

Very greasy breakfast

By ScotVA |

Have had breakfast here before and it was good. Had the omelette with vegetables included hash browns. This time there were much fewer vegetables and it was very greasy. The hash browns were also greasy. Used a napkin to get some of grease off Glad I ordered the Texas toast as an additional side as it was not greasy and soaked up some of the grease in my stomach. Really disappointed in whole experience. Coffee was not even that good. Not worth the money at all.

Ok meal

By douglas r |

They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The food was good, but cost more than the other 2 buffets downtown. Not sure the price difference was was worth it. It had a nice setting.

Excellent food! Large Portions it's Okay to Share!

By Getaway41896922359 |

After checking out Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas, we meandered into the Golden Nugget looking for a real comfortable place to eat good food vs the Vega's Grab and Go stuff. We noticed SaltGrass Steakhouse was very busy and many folks were enjoying what appeared to be excellent meals and drinks! The front hostess was busy and we asked to see the Menu? Matt (Later Determined to be the Manager on duty) Provided a menu for us to check out! From Matt we also learned that this establishment does offer to recognize "Military Service" with an actual Military discount. As a 20 Years Retired Navy Veteran, this is a Huge Plus to me and my family! We were served by an excellent waiter "Ricardo" who promised, and delivered, "Fresh Bread" as soon as it was ready! The service and food was nothing less than exceptional! Ricardo provided everything we requested even the "Blue Cheese Dressing" I wanted to put on "My Cheese Burger" (Try it it's Very Good) Matt, was checking with every table to make sure everything was to every customers satisfaction! As busy as this place was I think we received our food faster than we expected! We could not have been more pleased with the service or the food! Highly recommend this establishment!

good breakfast

By needlottery |

good selection. there was a huge tour company crowd right when the restaurant opened when we got there but the cashiers separated them from the regular paying crowd so things moved fast. good got when you cant decide for breakfast and famished

Very Good

By Diane W |

We went to a couple buffets while in Vegas. Went to this one at Golden Nugget will on the Fremont St. experience went in for lunch buffet. Good prices . Would definitely go again

Seafood Seafood and more Seafood

By Sarahheartbreak |

Tons of choices! Very tasty crab legs and sushi. Dessert could have been better, but hey! Who has room for dessert when you have eaten so many crab legs!

Good buffet

By Candice Z |

Not the best buffet, but certainly not the worst. Good selection of foods. My only disappointment were the crab legs. Wish they had King crab instead of or in addition to the Snow crab. Had a great server named Leesa!

Great value!

By mylawyer2018 |

As many times as we have been to Vegas, we have never eaten at this buffet before...and we play at this casino every time. I am glad we stopped in though. The brunch on M-W is $16.99 and the food is both plentiful and tasty. Most of the fare is home-style, so don't expect anything fancy. For that, go to the Bellagio and pay 5 times more. We will definitely be making this buffet a regular stop in the future. Great value!

Excellent - Good Value - Friendly Staff

By Stephan K |

We always stay at the GN and to to their buffet at least once during out stay. Very good selction and a great value at $15. We even had 2 for 1 coupons.

Good Buffet - excellent selection

By Julia M |

Nice food, good selection - recommended. We did the lunch buffet - twice! Prices are higher than I had originally expected and not worth it if you're just going to eat a small salad!

Great steak

By Diane A |

I had ribs and my husband had steak. We both loved our meals. His steak was a perfect medium rare and he raved about the sweet potatoe that came with it. The salad was also good. Reasonable price too. You can even have a view of the shark tank if you wish.

great variety

By Stiegjl |

the buffet was closed for a few days then reopened the day we were leaving. We had a later flight so we went and ate there. It was fantastic. You name it, they had it. from soup to sandwiches, to hot food to desserts. It was top notch. I would highly recommend it.

Best place to visit at Freemont Street!

By Misael R |

It was a total surprise to find such a nice spot hidden in that overrated place like Freemont Street. The buffet is delicious and very affordable. The place itself beautiful and perfect for relax. The staff very professional. I wish to be back any moment soon!

Just Average

By James G |

Went for the Friday night "Seafood and More" buffet and was pretty disappointed. First the non-seafood options were extremely limited and the buffet was over-priced for the offerings ($30+ each). It wasn't awful, but the quality and selection were very average and similar to what you might find at a Golden Corral or similar for less than half the price.

Disappointing Steak

By Joan B |

While visiting Fremont st. stopped by for dinner. Very noisy place, tables close so you hear other people's conversations. Our server John was fabulous 👌 Food was okay. Our bone in rib eye had so much gristle it was terrible. They did comp us part, but was disappointed. The best part of the place was our server John he was great.

AMAZING BUFFET !!!

By daf57 |

There are plenty of buffets in Las Vegas but this is one of the best ! It is open 24 hours, offers a wide range of local and international dishes, you can stay as long as you like, is like a cruise ship buffet on steroids at a "budget" price.....and.....if you look around you may find a discount/2for1 voucher ! Highly recommended !

It's gone downhill, not the same.

By shadowmanjb |

We have eaten at this restaurant for years and it has always been amazing, the salmon and shrimp were moist the green beans were cooked slightly crisp to perfection it has just been amazing until this trip. First my sister went as they arrived before us, and she immediately said it's not the same. I had to see for myself so we went back for dinner the next night and it just wasn't the same, I understand it could be an off night, but this was two nights in a row. We ordered the grilled shrimp for an appetizer, and they had it out in about 90 seconds and they were drier and not hot like they are when freshly grilled telling me they are pre-cooking the food. Then the salmon came out and it was dry and not hot like it should be again telling me it has been pre-cooked. This was never the case before. Then the green beans came out and they were soggy and limp like they were steamed to heat or something it was a bowl of slimy limp green beans. I knew then what was happening. they traded speed over quality. I called the manager over and told her my findings and asked what was going on, she offered to refund or cook it again, but we didn't want that we just wanted to know why our favorite restaurant was no more. She said everything was exactly the same and would not own anything, to her it was all good just like it always has been and that didn't set well as we knew it the quality was gone, and they were pre-cooking now and serving re-heated items. we finally gave upon talking with her as it went nowhere. The whole place has gone downhill in my opinion. we will try again on our next trip and if it's not back to the fresh dinners they use to serve we won't be back. John from Tennessee

Nice meal fair price

By Rick Shroy |

Food is what you would expect for the price nothing fancy but tasty. Clean and quick service each time I have eaten there.

Dessert !!!!

By Diane A |

Only had a late night dessert of cheese cake, but it was the best. I sat by the pool with a great view of the huge fish tank. Wonderful service. Everything about the golden nugget is the best of Vegas.

Fabulous price!

By 1963AmandaT |

We took a trip down to downtown Vegas to go to the Golden Nugget for the buffet breakfast. The price is excellent value for what you can eat and the food is always being topped up/changed so that you shouldn't have a problem in choosing. We always enjoy the downtown Vegas to sample the "real" Vegas!

Took great care of my GF Mom!

By farfenoodle |

We went as a party of 8 to celebrate my mom's birthday. She has celiac, so needs to be completely gluten free. I'm always worried about this as I've seen her have an allergy attack and it certainly not how she needed to spend her birthday. They do not have a GF menu, but our server said that whatever she wanted, he would check with the chef. He didn't need to check, as the chef came out and personally reviewed her food with her and how he would handle it so it would be 100% gluten free - no cross contamination etc. This was quite a relief and I could see how happy she was to know there was nothing to worry about. She has often ordered something she didn't love because it would be the "safest" choice. So great she actually got what she wanted this time! So big shout out to Jose Marquez, Exec Chef at Saltgrass. You made her night and her birthday. We had a great time and enjoyed the food, the service, the drinks and a nice evening with the family!

Last night and we did not want to leave hotel so enjoyed the Golden Nugget Buffet

By David M |

The staffl at this buffet was outstanding. The buffet was as good as any on Freemont Street and the desserts were to die for. Reasonably priced and no long line up. Would eat there again.

Excellent Buffet - Bread Pudding is a Gem

By aggiedad77 |

We ate here our first night in Vegas and we were impressed with their selection of food and presentation of the same. A thoughtful staff was a plus for us and it was appreciated that they went out of their way to offer suggestions and information about the food. The bread pudding was excellent, some of the best I’ve eaten.

Excellent!

By Sandra W |

Great dinner, excellent service, great location. Definitely would recommend this place. Good was Excellent!

It sucked

By Jennifer H |

Sat here for 45 minutes with 0 service. No hello. Waiters and bartenders even saw me didn’t greet me or serve me. It’s absolutely f******g ridiculous.

Golden Nugget Buffet

By Sandra P |

Wow the food was amazing so much choice and so much of it, you could spend all morning eating and drinking for 15 dollars Service was a little slow at the table.

What a Breakfast

By erin40 |

Probably the best breakfast I have ever had.The quantity of choices werejust so many it's hard to believe. E.g. smoked salmon , gammon, rashers and sausages omelettes made infront of you, etc. etc Really excellent as we had breakfast twice here.

Worst $40 breakfast for 2

By Foodie |

If you're thinking of having breakfast here don't expect much. Entire meal was cold, biscuits stale, scrambled (carton) eggs are not fresh, basic coffee. I've had better food at a hospital buffet. Our waitress was friendly and attentive; she tried to microwave our food to improve our dining experience but unfortunately it just didn't help much and we left hungry. Maybe it's this location, or the breakfast. We enjoy other Saltgrass restaurants but this one is a big fail for breakfast.

Best buffet in downtown Las Vegas

By huskiesfan2015 |

The selection may not be huge but the quality is better than anything downtown, We ate there for lunch a couple of days ago. I had peel and eat shrimp cocktail, prime rib, fried chicken and Taos Beef. My favorite was the Taos Beef, very very tasty. My wife loved the mac and cheese and chicken lo mein. I wish they would cook the shrimp more, and you can pass up the overly breaded overly greasy fried fish formed into patties that look like a McDonald's apple pie. For dessert there are the usual buffet selections, including some NSA butter pecan ice cream that was delicious and called for a second helping.

Not Impressed

By Janel H |

First we were told 2 hour wait time then called in 15 minutes and hostess not extremely nice because it took us a minute to get all together. Our drink order was slow, our food order was messed up on 3 of the 6 dinner orders. The hostess was somewhat rude with a very uncaring tone when speaking to my husband about where to park his scooter so he could get to the seat and store the chair. She was more bossy then helpful. I had been wanting to eat there in my hometown of San Antonio but I won’t rush any time soon.

Good food ,spectacular desserts

By Cheryl T |

We always stop at the Buffet when we stay at the Golden Nugget. We usually have a 2 for 1 coupon so it is very reasonable. The food is always good. And there is great variety. The salad bar is very plentiful and if you are lucky they will have their delicious Lavash which is a delicious crispy cheesy flatbread. The staff is friendly and helpful. The best part is the spectacular desserts. So much to choose from and mini sizes so you can try more than one without feeling stuffed.

Not the best meal I’ve had

By mark_gosselin |

Not a good experience. Sent back steaks once because they were over cooked. Second time, still over cooked but we ate them. Baked potatoes went back twice because they were cold. Waitress did everything she could, but the kitchen let her down! I think the food would be good, if prepared properly. Abby (waitress) did all she could. Would have been nice if a manager stopped by to speak with us. Lie I said, not the best experience. Definitely room for improvement.

Average steakhouse

By obright1 |

Just ok. Kinda pricey food for the quality. Large portions. Typical steakhouse fare. Maybe one step up from Texas road house or longhorns, but honestly like the food better at both of those places.

Nice atmosphere

By jebauser |

Steak was very good and was prepared as ordered. Really liked the atmosphere inside the steak house.

Unfriendly staff argued with me

By Marcos Davi |

Some of the food servers have frowning faces. One of them, the barbecue server argued with me because I asked one piece of meat. Right away I asked a fattier one, and after that, a chunk of fat. He thought I was trying to teach him how to cut the meat, but actually I was just wanting more and choosing my on parts of the meat. His job is to cut it, not to complain or decide how many pieces or what part of the meat I want. People like him need to be unemployed for a whole year, so they might value being employed.

Parking is free with meal purchase

By 448kerryr |

Didn't stay at the Golden Nugget but heard the brunch was very good. Drinks are included and we all went away full. Lots of things to choose from for all different tastes. Service was very good.

Omelets Made to Order Just Filled With Toppings

By Holidayman66 |

My wife and I when we booked Golden Nugget got a free breakfast buffet for two people for 4 days. So we ate here 4 days in a row and just loved it. I had an omelet each day and you have 8 different choices of toppings, so very excellent. Lots of choices of food to go with your omelet like freshly made waffles, 3 or 4 different potato dishes, plenty of different fruits. When your done your meal, they has so many different desserts. The bread pudding was do die for, just like my mother used to make.

Great meal after a minor setback

By Paul_tyrrell82 |

The staff where exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough, the other half asked for a Med-well done steak but it came out med-rare, the waiter quickly took the plate away and agree and had it cooked properly and new fries. It’s a busy venue and clearly has had a lot of trade but it feels a little tired. The chicken dish I had was tasty and hot. Desert was lovely, portions are huge and well worth it. Overall a good meal and problems resolved quickly

The Golden Nugget

By montalvosandoval2020 |

This is one of my favorites to visit lots of entertainment, dining, and large variety of slots, black jack table, craps tables, and so much more to enjoy.

A good selection

By Cindy H |

We recieved free Breakfast Buffets with our hotel stay, so why not? The staff was fast and friendly and the omlet man was excellent!

Great Food

By bobbo25 |

Excellent place for casual dining and good breakfast. Right in the Golden Nugget casino. reasonably priced and nice atmosphere.

Great lunch!

By sharrongeg |

Met another couple here and we all really enjoyed our lunch. One person had the salmon caesar salad ($23) and she said it was very good. Cheeseburger ($17) was good, but nothing outstanding. House chardonnay ($8) wasn’t great, but they did have several local craft beers on tap. Service was good. 3 hours free parking for locals with a NV id.

Great variety for the price.

By dawn v |

You won't find anything fancy at this buffet, but it has a lot of variety so everyone should find something they like. Dessert bar was excellent if you have a sweet tooth. Servers were very attentive taking dishes and bringing beverages.

Its a buffet...but its a good buffet

By SunshineV88 |

We went on a Sunday morning, so it was more expensive since it was BRUNCH, but the food selection and variety was good

Disappointing place in such a great hotel.

By JTCOGO |

I can't say the buffet at Golden Nugget is horrible but it isn't good. I have been surprised every time i've went at how mediocre it is for the upscale place on freemont. The food is decent, the service is decent, but at a place like Golden Nugget for what you pay decent doesn't cut it.

Steak with weird texture/cold sides but not crazy expensive and was fairly quick.

By Morgan Edwards |

The steak came out and it tasted okay at first. The flavor was good. I am not a big steak person but I got a filet cooked medium and it came out close to rare. I still ate it until a certain part of the steak. It had an awful texture of gritty mashed potatoes and I didn’t understand why it would do that. I had my husband try it who typically eats a medium or medium to rare steak when we go out and he also said that it was not a good texture. It may have been cooked wrong or marinated too long or something. The sides were cold when we got them too so that was disappointing. My husbands steak was over cooked so it was tough to eat as well. Service was okay. There wasn’t a long wait and it wasn’t crazy expensive so that is why we stopped in. We probably wouldn’t come back.

Don’t eat here. The thing about whatever happened in Las Vegas, Stays , Las, Vegas, Paris.

By Donut dude |

This was very bad. The price for there the food was bad. Texas Roadhouse is a lot better and better price. I won’t ever come back again

Great selection, good food

By Tom B |

First off, the only negative was how hard it was to FIND the buffet. Signage in the casino was poor and we had to ask for help. We went on a Friday morning, and wait was short. Two people for breakfast was around $36 (plus tip). Service was efficient. OJ was of course from concentrate. I really liked the selection. They had sausage gravy (one of my touchstones) but also creamed beef, and fried Spam! A junk food junkie's heaven. Also had more healthy options, an omelet station, smoked salmon, etc.

Only place where you can get it to go!

By Blackpacker |

The best thing about the buffet is that you can get it to go. You literally have to debate what item makes the cut to get into the tray that they give you. The deal is, it has to be able to close, and the competition is fierce! The one thing that isn't great about the buffet is the dessert options, they are are pretty run-of-the-mill. Honestly I've seen better quality options for desserts or bakery items in any decent supermarket. So, use the tray for the lovely food items, and pick up some dessert somewhere else.

Great steak, ribs, and service!

By Rob |

A relaxed steakhouse with good ambience, great food, and excellent service. My husband and I were looking for a nice steak dinner but didn’t want to go somewhere fancy. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste of the steak and delicious tender ribs. Christopher was an excellent server and was on top of everything. He was friendly, helpful, and very professional. Thank you Chris!

Not my favorite buffet

By 167lillet |

We loved our old school server (sorry I don't know her name), but the food left something to be desired. The lettuce was wilted, the lines for the carving station pretty long, and the selections were lacking. On a positive note: the omelette was one of the best I've ever had.

Poor mans feast

By The Working class Traveller |

This buffet is ok/average. The seafood is quite varied; Crab legs; Prawns; Mussels; Calamari; Seafood Pasta; Cod and Salmon. Then there is sushi, meats, soups, pizza,l etc However there is a watery taste to it. Its low quality food, but plenty of it and for $31 you cant really complain. Tip; The prime rib is lovely

Give your taste buds a treat.

By Bob K |

I had a strip steak medium rare and it was excellent. Service was very good and the margaritas were excellent. A little pricey but well worth it.

Not Our Favorite

By Pat from Ohio |

We were staying at The Golden Nugget and decided to try the buffet. It was a little pricey for what was presented. Food was average and the service was not exceptional. Ther are so many options for dining in Las Vegas, The Golden Nugget should really up their game. We weren't astonished that it wasn't real crowded after dining there

Disapointed

By jeffandbrenda2016 |

Small buffet and not a lot of choices. Expensive for what was available. The turn over for food was slow so it was either out of very dried out. Would not return.

Good seafood night

By 1chunkyguy |

Three of us visited The Buffet on Friday night (seafood night). It was around 4:30 and no waiting. It's fairly reasonable, costing $97 for all 3. There are several buffet stations that include steak, chicken, sausage, fish, lots of sides, and of course seafood. Everything that we tried was excellent, including the service. Although we won't go back again on this trip, we would definitely go back if in Vegas again. The dessert bar was awesome. Pies were plentiful as well as smaller dishes. I think that we tried 8 different ones!!

So loud the windows rattle

By Michelle-H6 d |

I understand that there are parties in Vegas. But to pay extra and have to listen to a hard rock festival so loud that the windows are rattling inside a room on the supposed ‘vip’ level on the 16th floor is insane. I know the nugget can’t control noise ordinances but this is simply miserable. I checked the schedule - this event is running from 5pm - 3am tonite and tomorrow. And there are no rooms to move to. Unbearable.

Bad experience, inattentive server more concerned with chatting with co workers

By gilchrist48047 |

Went there at 745 pm on October 6. Was seated quick and ordered shrimp cocktail appetizer, chicken fried steak and wife ordered smothered filet medium well. First our server Abby never brought out our appetizer, I could see Abby talking to to other employees laughing and having a good time off to side. Finally asked another wait staff to check on our appetizer as it had been about 15 minutes. I saw this server go right to Abby, and then I could see Abby go right to a computer where I saw all the staff go to put in orders. Abby then disappeared into the back and reappeared 5 minutes later with my shrimp cocktail (it was really good). Then no appearance from Abby as she was again consumed with her co worker chit chats. Our food was brought out and wife’s filet, not smothered with onion mushrooms or butter. Abby finally came around and when this brought to her attention. She brought back a side of sautéed onions, no mushrooms. Then wife cut into steak and it was extremely rare, not medium well. Abby apologized and wife said again medium well, so abby took steak back. Abby brought out Second steak quite a bit later And it was smothered as asked wife cut into it and it was rarer than the 1st steak sent back. Abby didn’t know what to do. Wife told her to take it back and off the bill as we were done eatting there. Abby then came back and apologized and said she would take the filet off the bill! What? Your gonna take unedible steak off the bill? Then Abby went back to her chatting with co workers. Manager finally came offered another item for take out etc. We had been there a looong time by this point and just wanted to leave. Manager then took the steak and appetizer off the bill. Wow after 1 hour or so of waiting for 2 inedible steaks you would think they would comp the whole bill. My dinner chicken fried steak was good, but really. Oh and Abby came around once to refill my water that had been empty for several minutes. Expected better from here

Yuck

By Funinthesun |

Not good! If you want a buffet, don’t go here, even pay more for something better if you have to. Most things were not hot, & things like cheesecake are from a box. No flavor. A waste of $25.

All around great experience

By edward t |

Come in the saltgrass about 5 times a week and get excellent service from Taya and Tara the manager Matt is very friendly and takes care of the few concerns that may arise.

Excellent

The food was great, the atmosphere was really good. The service was good… would highly recommend eating here.

Lunchtime buffet; Good value!

By Richard P |

OK, so compared to the Bellagio buffet (see my other review), the Nugget IS lacking a little in choice (I'd say it's 40% of the size at a guess) and the dining room does feel a bit "Maccy D's". BUT it's rather less expensive at approx. $20/head with tax and in terms of quality I thought it at least the equal of its famous Strip competitor. When you consider that "40% the size of the Bellagio Buffet" actually equals "Still pretty big, actually", the VFM of the GN buffet is quite an achievement. If I had to choose between the two, then on the basis of VFM I'd say the GN Just edges it, but it's very close-run.

Its a buffet...

By Lisa A |

My husband & I went to The Buffet for breakfast on a Friday morning about 10:00. We were seated immediately. The lines for the omelet station were long so I opted for the foods on the buffet. My husband braved the line for an omelet and I was almost finished with my entire meal before he got back to the table. The foods were ok - a lot of variety but nothing seemed very hot or fresh. Very few fruits were available. They change over to lunch at 10:30 so I think since we were there at the end of breakfast, they weren't replenishing those items. Our wait person brought our initial drinks but didn't check back with us unless we flagged him down. I had to steal ketchup and hot sauce off of another table. If you want good value for your money, this is the place but I still don't feel like I got $17 worth of food.

Must see

By DeeJAdvisor |

If you are in Fremont Street you have to go to where it all started & of course eat in the buffet of the Golden Nugget. We found it to be excellent value with a very good choice of food on offer to suit all tastes. Decor a little old fashioned as you'd expect but place was spotless.

did a little gambling there while visiting the fremont street experience, nice but not over the top, but definetly worth a visit!

Friendly but Not Particularly Good Value

By Trisha G |

Our waiter was very lovely, and friendly, as were most of the staff. We were all quite hungry, and the $23.95 price tag seemed reasonable. I have to say, whilst the range was generally reasonable, and the dessert choices were fabulous, overall I felt it was a little lacklustre. Apart from the Mimosas, drink prices were also not that great. The whole area would benefit from a refurb. Not terrible, but not great either.

Yuck

By Sean |

My recent stay at your resort can be explained in two words,"extremely disappointing". When we checked in we asked if there was a possibility of a room upgrade. The hotel clerk said yes, and that was the start of our nightmare! We were sold a bill of goods, and empty promises. We were told that we would get two free buffets, but after going to the buffet to redeem our BOGO coupon, we were told that they wouldn't honor it and the value was only ten dollars off.

Kroeger grocery store makes all their brunch food, nothing cooked on site

By sobow |

Went for Sunday brunch. Advertised at $18.95 pp, with mimosas. It was $22.95, NO mimosas. Even had to buy the vodka to put in the bloody Mary mix. Went at 12pm. Looked worse than a horse trough, slopped up, no one was cleaning up the areas. The only thing worth eating were the desserts. WE have gone to Golden Nugget Sunday Brunch for years, and the food was terrible this time. I talked to a line cook and he agreed. He told me that all the food is trucked in from Kroeger's and nothing is made onsite. Food trucked from Kroeger's, Really. Never, ever again.

We had Buffet Lunch. It was recommended by a few Uber drivers we Stayed in nearby hotel. It was just an average buffet lunch.

Delicious

By Anna V |

I'm not one for buffets, but the Golden Nugget Buffet was great. They play to whatever mood you're in any time of the day. The prime rib was amazing. Sushi was great. The pizza was delicious. And the rice pudding was superb.

Breakfast/Lunch!!

By PVE_11 |

So good!! We had a great breakfast and lunch buffet. Very nice restaurant and service overlooking the pool. Plenty of fresh food options, salad bar, omelette station, carving station, and deserts for $17.

Loved it

By Jan C |

Really enjoyed the food selection was terrific and the service was spot on. So as most good thing go they are closing it down= as shame.

The Golden Nugget Buffet

By kcaldron |

We were at the Golden Nugget in October of 2020 and usually this is our very favorite place to eat. Unfortunately because of the CoVid-19 virus the buffet was not available. However, in the past we have ALWAYS gone there for breakfast as well as dinner. The selections are outstanding and the quality of food is excellent. We have never been disappointed and look forward to our next visit when HOPEFULLY the buffet will once again be offered.

WOW!!!!! Awesome!

By Krista Lynn Morris |

So yummy. Weyler was the best server. He was so great. I had the Redfish, it was amazing. My husband had yummy ribs! We had the Spinach Artichoke Skillet for an app. A+++++ . Will definately go back on our next trip.

Friendly service & great value on food!

By BookPimp |

Great food and service! Our crew was on Fremont Street & was looking for some good cheap eats. This was perfect! Burger, chicken & steak was all perfect & didn’t cost us $$$$$ like every other place in Vegas! Would recommend!

Good Value

By Paul R |

Nice buffet , good choice. No atmosphere unfortunately, but the food was very good especially the deserts. Would recommend stopping by and paying this buffet a visit

Ok-ish visit, would not go back.

By rickwal |

We ate here as we did not know what we wanted to eat, price was OK at $24 per person, but, was not told that soft drinks are included, some lines for the popular food. Staff were friendly. Would not say don't visit, if you like a buffet there was plenty of choice, go hungry though.

Beyond flavor!

By Christine1217B |

Went there for a nice dinner. Our server was great and very fun. Started out with shrimp cocktail, yummmmm! We also had steaks and shrimp. Steak cooked to perfection and fantastic flavor! Could eat there twice a week!

Breakfast=Not good

By M V |

The breads were dry, the meats were dry, poor service. Not a lot of healthy choices. If you love sweets, and yogurts, then maybe you will like it.

Not to my expectations

By Lars T |

Sorry, this visit was a bit disappointing. The buffet was nothing special. The selection of food was quite good, but the whole experience lacks of the restaurant feeling.

Buffet

By Linda N |

Average buffet-nothing special. A little pricey. Staff was very friendly and nice. I don't understand why they are closed on Monday and Tuesday, people eat on these days as well

good value for good food

By Stephen L |

We just got back from Vegas and a few days ago were on Freemont Street looking for food. A local suggested the Golden Nugget Buffet. Lunch was $15.99 plus drinks. The assortment of food was fantastic with Italian, Oriental, Latin and American foods to choose from. The only disappointment for me was the desserts. They had a huge selection but lacked great flavor with some of them pretty bad. The carrot cake was to die for but I would stay away from the cannolis which where bland and mushy. Also the spring rolls were not what I'm used to.

Great service and great food

By NorthStar587035 |

We went here on Wednesday for dinner. It was not a specialty night so we did not know what to expect. There was prime rib, steak, fried shrimp, a great salad bar, great ice cream and desserts!! Our waitress was so nice and always refilling our drinks. Highly recommended!!

August 2018

By pnaultok |

We tried all three meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner at the buffet and all was very good, The service is excellent and all stations and the waiters were friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Very Good Buffet

By John R |

Any food you could want. We ate breakfast and so many options we did not know where to start. They have made to order omlets, meats, pastries pancakes, waffles and so much more. Service was good, they kept the drinks flowing. Down side is, they are closed on Monday and Tuesday. While I'm sure they are competitively priced, it is on the expensive side.

Surprisingly Not Bad!

By Beej |

We stopped in here for dinner during our visit to Fremont. While the staff were ... less than enthusiastic... the food was comparable to many of the big resorts on the strip - except significantly cheaper. For two of us we paid $48 USD + tip (which I recommend you don’t pay in advance before eating...the servers don’t particularly ‘earn’ it) There was a variety of food - Italian, Latin, American and fusion. Nothing was stale and the restaurant was steady but not packed and loud like the buffets on the strip. The interior of the buffet was also much more attractive than some of the big strip buffets. Much less cafeteria like and more like a restaurant. Overall a good choice if you want quick food with variety.

Not bad

By dem0502 |

Pretty average buffet. Prime rib was excellent. deserts were good. Waiters were on the ball making sure drinks stayed full.

Just Average ~ I would go elsewhere

By Tina C |

We went for the Friday night seafood buffet last Friday (3 May 2019) and found it disappointing. Definitely not worth the price. I typically love crab legs, but they had such a strong fishy taste that I didn’t eat them. I don’t eat meat, so the choices were rather limited. I would not recommend this buffet, as there are many, many better options available.

Great choices

By Kelly K |

We ate at the buffet for breakfast and there were so many choices! They had fresh fruit, any kind of meat, pizza, so many breakfast foods. Very impressive. Our waitress was great too! It's a little spendy but there is enough food to chose from!

Slowest service ever anywhere in Vegas

By LOUISE |

Food so-so, service really slow - waitress didn't seem to care that we were there for an hour before receiving our food. We should have stayed on the strip and not gone downtown - it's pretty seedy.....

Good choices

By Randy T |

Was nice buffet,,nothing extreme to speak about but overall was pretty good! Service was good and staff friendly

Best priced lunch buffet, good food, nice atmosphere

By pineseeker |

So glad we found this place for lunch. Only $18 per person, with a lot of good choices, especially the desserts! It was well-separated from the casino, so we weren't breathing smokey air (a nice change from the norm in Vegas). Waitress was friendly and it was not noisy, so we could talk with our companions.

Lovely Staff, Nice Food, Choice Okay

By Chantelle B |

Lovely waiting staff working in the buffet, I was pleasantly surprised just how chatty and informative they were! The food was nice - I would have liked a little bit more choice though. I love fried chicken and I couldn't find any! Such a strange thing to happen in America but there we go. Desserts were lovely - definitely the highlight of my meal :) Soft Drinks are free refills so don't forget to ask if you need a top up! And tip the waiter of course.

Great breakfast buffet!

By jessica s |

We dined at the buffet for breakfast and the food was great. There are many choices to choose from including an omelet bar.

Ok I guess

By casinorama30 |

Ok lower end steakhouse I guess. Maybe more at the level of a chillis but priced like a steakhouse.

Good but...

By Theunfilteredexplorer |

Spoilt for choice. And there was a little too much ‘non-breakfast’ type options on offer. I think roast meats and prawns and stuff like that are a bit too much at 7am. The staff were ok. The buffet itself was immaculate. It was just lacking something and I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Small buffet but with a decent selection

By speedracer211 |

I was staying at the Golden Nugget for 4 nights for work and came here one night for dinner which cost about $25. I was seated quickly and while the buffet is small I don't mind that. I think that means more turnover on the food so it's not sitting there in giant trays forever. There's a salad bar section in the center with a U around it with some cold cuts, cheeses and giardiniera, sandwiches, then the hot stations with Italian, meats/carving station, Chinese, American comfort food, then a chilled shrimp station and deserts. I was sat facing the buffet and watched as the staff refilled several stations so that was good. I started with the antipasti station and the cheese and proscuitto were very nice and there was a good selection of pickled vegetables. Then I got a plate of carved prime rib which at best was medium. It didn't seem like there was a medium rare piece on it but it was still tender and juicy. The chilled shrimp were fine. They were definitely brought in frozen already deveined and split but tasty enough. The dessert section was probably the highlight with a wide selection and an ice cream section. Most of the pastries and desserts were pretty good except for their "creme brulee" which wasn't bruleed at all and just had some sugar syrup poured on top which wasn't even caramelized so it wasn't even like a flan. It was totally fine and I think the small stations help keep the food fresh because it doesn't seem to be that busy on weekdays.

to eat or not to eat

By Darla B |

We ate there twice. Two times we had different service. The food was good but nothing spectacular for the price. The service workers do not want to clean/clear away or plates or give you rinks. They even argued who was going to bus our table in front of us. Not very professional.

Great Food

By Sandra Hunter |

The food here is very good and the service is wonderful. They have plenty to choose from. They had all types of food and I nearly tried them all.

GOLDEN NUGGET BUFFET

By DEC3 |

The GOLDEN NUGGET BUFFET is a great option for the entire family. Great choices for adults and plenty of options for the younger members of your group or family. Reasonably priced, the quality of the food is top shelf and presentation is always exemplary. Travel tip...check GROUPON before strapping on your feed-bag! Cheers

The buffet had a great breakfast and dinner!

By auntrain |

We ate at the buffet for breakfast and for dinner. There was a wide number of items to choose from. The food was more than warm and some was hot. The flavor was good and the desserts were very yummy!

Many Photos Added. Good Food and Service

By NitroDog |

Located in the Golden Nugget. My wife and I dined here with a 8:15pm reservation and were seated immediately. My wife had a cocktail and I had an Iced Tea. Tasty bread loaf came out quick. My wife had the Salmon Oscar with baked potato. I had the 8oz Top Sirloin Steak with smoked mac and cheese. The service was good and I will return again soon.

By lynnegmeyer |

Good selection of food and the service kept up with the plate removal duty. Plenty of tables for family groups which makes for a fun outing.

Basic Las Vegas buffet at a high price.

By Mike M |

Came here for breakfast, and it was just basic... only thing I was bummed out about was the price for breakfast, which was over $20... Good service, and normal food. I had better at the Golden Nugget Buffet in Atlantic City, where they had a bigger selection.

Good Food!

By Ortiz8384 |

Came here while we were visiting Fremont Street and enjoyed our buffet. We got seated very quickly and had a large selection of food to choose from. Service was excellent!

Average is about sums it up

By LesEye |

There is lots of food , but the variety isn't too great. It's less expensive compared to some of the other hotel buffets but you get what you pay for. It's very convenient if you are staying at the hotel, probably not worth the travel from any of the Strip hotels.

Breakfast Was Yummy

By Reba S |

Experienced the Golden Nugget buffet at our first opportunity (Wednesday breakfast since closed on Monday & Tuesdays) & found it delicious.

Breakfast the most important meal of the day

By A Dublin Couple Review |

First off the staff here are All very helpful can't do enough for you... that said the food was All fresh plentiful and quality the coffee was strong and kept coming .... you have everything here could ever want plus a lot more from steak craved meats to tater tots and everything between 18 bucks to set you up for the day .... what more do you want

Amazing Selection - High Quality

By jaymzbee |

A friend forced me to go to the buffet at Golden Nugget. I find most buffet's disgusting but when in Vegas... It turned out to be a wonderful experience with a much bigger selection then I ever imagined. The service was excellent and aside from some brilliant seafood I had the best pumpkin pie I've eaten in years. Bravo!

very disapointed

By sonnytn1 |

this hotel used to be best downtown, no more. They wanted a 24 hr notice for housekeeping, what a joke. They were lines at all the restaurants. I can stand in line at home for free. Vegas should not have opened until they got their people back to work.

Food is just ok, but price is good for what it is.

By Sondra W |

Food is just ok, lady upfront is rude and salty. The coupon I had was buy one get one free. Worst thing is I am single and they only took off $3.00 so this is saying to the world, be in a relationship to get a full discount. Really insulting. I am a regular to this hotel and feel I should not be treated subpar for being single. I should get an equal discount.

Breakfast

By Lisa C |

Lots of great offerings. Good meal. Pricey as most buffets in Vegas are though. Service could've been a little better, waitied a while for coffee and water after we were seated.

Good for a sit-down dinner and rest...

By McDaniel H |

I think this location is accurately rated at over 3 stars, but less than 4 stars, in my opinion. My spouse and I came here as a result of trying to find a place to sit down, relax, and enjoy our food. We came across this location by happenstance and for the most part it was just okay. My spouse selected the chicken and turkey items. My spouse indicated that the chicken was not very flavorful nor was the turkey. My spouse indicated that her side were very average and at some points in her selections the items tasted like out of the boxed items. I selected the fish and prime rib items. The fish I selected was the fried cod which apparently was the type that one gets from a pre-packaged frozen food isle item. The prime rib on the other hand was pretty good. I selected some side items that were in the bar areas and they were also just okay. One of the items I selected was the tomato, cucumber, and red onions salad. The tomatoes were not fresh cut, but soft textured and appeared old. When I sampled both the cucumber and tomato there was a just blah taste and slightly sour, but nothing special at all. After paying almost $55 for the two of us, I had expected a bit more in the overall restaurant area than we got. We were a bit disappointed with the selection that was here or rather wasn't here. The server here was really good and I thought that the he deserved an attaboy outside of the three star rating. The desserts here were many in variety and small plates in selection. some of the ice cream was not there and appear to be melted and not very appetizing. My spouse and I did have to use the restrooms while we were there. I asked my spouse to check and see If the restrooms were adequately cleaned and without offensive smells. Way Discovery that the bathrooms were fine.

Great food.

By Robin K |

Not your usual buffet, more intimate and not as crowded as bigger buffets, the food was hot, seasoned just right and a relaxing pace for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Wait staff was always friendly, around when you needed them and even made suggestions on the food line. The beef stew was the best I have ever had (sorry Mom). Try it.

A Perfect Evening

By bjc41 |

When we tried to reserve we were told politely by Madison to call back in 30 minutes as the kitchen was overwhelmed at the time. Reservations are only taken when you are at the restaurant so we decided to have a drink in the bar while waiting. That was the beginning of our perfect evening. Israel took our drink order and assured us our margaritas were made with fresh lime juice. We had driven from Mexico on our way to Canada and had yet to find a decent margarita. The margaritas were the best we'd had since leaving Sayulita. Then because Israel was so much fun we decided we would eat at the bar. We ordered a filet (perfectly cooked and delicious) and each of us ordered a side of vegetable and potato. Our last night in Laughlin was memorable because of the wonderful staff and experienced cooks. Thank you Maribelle, for the perfect margarita and Israel, for the awesome service and Madison, for you patience with our reservation requests. The staff was friendly, accommodating and professional. If you appreciate good food and service you can't do any better than Saltwater Steakhouse.

Ok Restaurant

By Charitey |

We had a table of 7 on a Thursday night. We heard this was a good place for a steak. I ordered the steak but did not care for it. It was very fatty and not well presented. The food was kind of blah. The best part of the meal was the warm bread they serve before the meal.

Oh dear.....

By Paivar |

We went to this buffet 9 years earlier and thought it was great! We decided to go again on this visit - bad choice! The food was not good....the place itself is exactly how it was years ago which I think is great, makes you feel like you're in the old days which is what Fremont is all about! We also ordered a wine but were later told we could go buy our own and bring it back - that was a bit odd, we thought the server should know if they had wine or not. Unfortunately the food just did not cut it this time and we won't go back again.

Great Value!

By TWB |

We ate so much that we regretted going to a buffet at all, but if you walk away from a buffet feeling there were probably empty trays. The value was excellent, one of our best deals of the week. Good soups and salad, some things were delicious, some didn't make the cut. Open late. Would return.

Steak cooked to perfection and amazing service too!

By Maureen |

We came home from a show on the strip and we were starving. Our server, Katrina, was incredible! She took our orders efficiently, knew the type of gin available and was perfectly pleasant, even though the restaurant was set to close shortly. We both ate steaks - bone in rib eye and steak and shrimp each with lapsed baked potatoes- all the food was excellent and speedily prepared. Thank you for a great meal! We highly recommend this steakhouse!

overcooked greasy food

By Bettina |

For $26 one would expect better. Everything was overcooked and greasy. No vegan desserts, everythign had dairy in it.

NO where close to the best buffet i've had

By thekinggambler |

The food selection wasn't great and the food its self wasn't great either. However the older waitress we had was very nice. Shes the only reason this isn't a one star

Rude staff

By MrsTowers |

Decent lunch time buffet. We had a great table over looking the swimming pool. My only negative comments are I found a few members of staff very rude

Wonderful Bountiful Quantity

By Jim D |

The quality is excellent for this buffet...and the weekday price makes it very competitive with other restaurants...so why not enjoy the variety????

Not really good

By PeggySeattle |

There are a lot of buffets in Vegas that are really really good unfortunately this is not one of them. They really need to up their game in the Buffett area. The hotel is awesome but I would never eat at this Buffett again. It was difficult to find anything to eat that looked good Very poor variety and pricey for the size of it. Many other places to go to

Good Breakfast

By Chris |

Good place for breakfast while staying at the Golden Nugget. I enjoyed having a table near windows looking out at there pool area.

Small but Gooooood

By ElDoradoGeorge |

Went to the brunch on Friday. Really didn't expect much since this is a vegas "friday" brunch without copious amounts of seafood. Wow..........what a great buffet. The prime rib, fried chicken, omelettes and chinese foods were fresh, seasoned well and very tasty. So if you don't mind spending $17 for a very good buffet and get your moneys worth...........PS, juice and soda is included. Great experience, going back for Sunday brunch on next trip.

Good food. Good service

By Tallytraveler34 |

Everything you could want from cooked-to-order omelet, to prime rib cooked perfectly. Lot's of great desserts.

Hunger Pains gone

By Sidney S |

I have been along time fan of the Golden Nugget. As far as I'm concerned this is a Strip hotel misplaced. The buffet used to be one of the best in the city, but had dropped to above average. The swimming pool and shark tank is a wonderful photo spot. The other restaurants on property are very good. You can't go wrong here and parking is FREE.

Good food high end buffet

By Joe F |

We had the breakfast buffet. They had almost anything a person could want to indulge in. Main dishes, deserts, pastry etc was excellent. Would go back again when visiting Vegas

Texan Experience

By Joe C |

It was our first time visiting a Saltgrass restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant, although in the middle of a busy Casino, transports you to a ranch in the middle of Texas with very authentic décor and furniture. The dinner bread that is served here was amazing, so good we ordered more. We opted for a selection of entrees, BBQ Ribs, Chicken Fried Chicken and Country Fried Steak. Each entrée was amazing along with the sides that accompanied, the only criticism was that for one of us the Ribs had just a bit too much wet rub BBQ on them, but the other person who had the Ribs found this to be just right. We really enjoyed our visit here, the food and the very good service that we had. Would highly recommend, and we will be keeping an eye out for other Saltgrass restaurants on our road trips to other places in the future!
