AWESOME FOOD & SERVICE!

By sw1030 |

My husband and I ate breakfast at this restaurant the past two mornings. We were very impressed with the friendly, hard-working staff and delicious food. We highly recommend it. (Be careful not to confuse with San Pedro Café)

Excellent Foods

We had a group of 12 meet here for breakfast and it was excellent...it was more of a brunch 10 AM I think

I’d suffer traffic clear across L.A. for breakfast here!

We chanced upon San Pedro cafe because we had time to kill before an appointment. Oh MY GOD, the breakfast was incredible! So much so in fact that we drove back there the next day, all the way from Van Nuys, just to do it again. My first go-around was the chicken fried steak and I honestly have never had better (and I’m 57)! The food is fresh, absolutely delicious, and quite plentiful - and it was not a Costco breaded steak, their homemade crunchy batter was the bomb! As were the home fries, eggs, etc The next day I got one of their massive omelettes and again was not disappointed. They have patio seating, parking in back, and the staff both days were very friendly, considerate, and prompt. The attached picture is only a little deceptive, due to the angle and the steak on top of the home fries -but it really is large! If you’re anywhere on the west coast between Oregon and Baja, you MUST go to the San Pedro Cafe in San Pedro California

Hidden jewel

This delightful restaurant offers outdoor and indoor seating. It is so clean and the waite staff was awesome. The food was scrumptious! We went for lunch and it was so good that we went ba k the. E t day for breakfast! You can’t go wrong here. They are open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The owner stopped by our table to see how everything was. He said next year he hopes to open for dinner as well. Try this place. You won’t be disappointed!

Overpriced, limited menu, and bland, I saw no Deli food

By kruemcke |

I stayed at the All Star Inn (more like one star). This is a cafe (San Pedro Cafe) close by, but I do not recommend it. Food there, while passable, was over priced and lacked flavor. The variety is not what I am used to for a diner. My bill with tip came to $46.90 for a coke, chips+salsa, Linguine Alfredo, and beef enchiladas Tres Amigos. Their menu says the add 3.5% to the bill if you pay by credit card, but they didn't in my case. You would be better off going the the Numero Uno Market also close by and just buy some groceries to eat in your room

Lots of good breakfast foods

By Sailing_Sweetie |

I came here at 7am on a Thursday and it was empty except for two other tables. The service is friendly. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with beans and corn tortillas for $8.50. The prices are a good value for the amount and quality of food you get.

Great affordable breakfast and lunch

By Greg S |

We stopped in for lunch while we were walking to the Maritime Museum at the east end of 6th street. The service was great, the prices very affordable, and the food was delicious! The menu offers a wide selection of sandwiches, plate lunches, and breakfast items. They serve breakfast until close.

Terrific!

The best found restaurants always close at 3! What a gem, huge menu, great food. The waitstaff were equally amazing. If you're in San Pedro, give them a try.

Very Well Done

Breakfast 7AM-3PM seven days a week or so the menu reads. Huevos Ranchers. The sauce was nearly a Mole' dark, rich, not sweet. Vegetable beans, sour cream, modest cheese, choice of breakfast side (rice), fresh hot flour tortillas, fresh salsa up on request. WiFi, ask for password. My coffee cup was kept full with good coffee. Nice people good service. Bueno.

Not like any other beach community cafe. Great

By LtFtCt |

Everything on this menu is good. I had the breakfast quesadilla. It was delicious. We went right before lunchtime, and it was not crowed. The crowd showed up about 12:30 and there was a line out the door. Check their website for hours, I think they have new hours. We were able to park on the streets. You could park on the busy street and walk to the place. They could put some tables together & sit about 6 comfortably. Very busy place just like any other good beach community cafe. Also, the server did tell us they we down an employee.

Friendly, casual atmosphere with good food.

We stopped by for a quick dinner. The service was very quick and pleasant and the food tasty and reasonable. We would go back if we were staying longer in the area. Good tortilla soup!

Amazing, speedy and something for everyone in the family!

I’ve been drooling over the San Pedro Cafe Menu for years and finally got to try it! We stopped here after a cruise and were met with a warm friendly welcome and delicious coffee! My family had eggs Benedict, El Gringo and a make your own omelette. The service was fast and our food was soooo good! I wanted to finish everyone’s plates but we had to get to our flight. Will be back to try another of the vast menu selections! Thanks San Pedro Cafe!

Awesome Cafe!

By ExpoNationals |

My little sister knows how to pick them. She gave me two choices of where to take the family that Sunday morning for breakfast. She had never visited either spot, but her track record has been very good. Anyways I chose San Pedro Cafe, and I have no regrets. Our experience at San Pedro Cafe was blessed from beginning to end. We found some street parking close by, and made our way to the cafe. They have both indoor and outdoor dining available. The time we visited was very busy, but our timing was perfect. A group had just left so there was a table available for us right away. It was situated outside away from everyone else, and it accomodated the 7 of us perfectly. There was even a big screen television right there for us to watch football. The service we received was exceptional, and the food was super DELICIOUS!! Those Pumpkin Pancakes I ordered were one of the best I've had anywhere. My wife enjoyed her Lemon Pancakes, and she let me try those yummy pancakes as well. All 7 of us were very pleased with our meals. Scrumptious food plus generous portions plus affordable prices plus excellent customer service plus a clean restaurant equals 5+ Stars from this happy patron! Thank you to the folks at San Pedro Cafe for a fantastic experience!

Best breakfast place in town!

Bring your appetite as servings are huge! The restaurant menu is extensive and creative. The staff is very accommodating, friendly and efficient. The food itself is delicious. There is a selection of Artisan Breads, varieties of waffles, pancakes, French toast and egg dishes. Add macaroni and cheese, chorizo, hash, bacon, cottage cheese and fruit and you have a wonderful and satisfying breakfast. You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent food and service

By Harleygirl2010 |

We were staying in San Pedro for a few days prior to a cruise and based on reviews had this restaurant on our list to try. We were not disappointed! The food was great (homemade), the portions were large and the prices were very reasonable. The service was great with staff continuously topping up water glasses and asking if the meal was okay. I would recommend this restaurant!

I have lived in the area for 24 years and just tried it for the first time. WOW! My friend had an omelet with potatoes and whole wheat toast. I had pancakes, french toast,, eggs and bacon. The butter, syrup, and bread and everything were excellent in quality. Every bite was delicious. The service was wonderful, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was charming and relaxed. Their menu has many options with outstandingly reasonable prices. I will return may times in the future.

Great service and food

Seemed to be the only place open at 700. Service was very friendly. Lots of tasty choices on menu. Hope to try again

suprisingly delicious

There's a restaurant that is always closed when we go by it (They are only open for breakfast and lunch, we usually walk passed it after dinner time) so we finally went there for breakfast. San Pedro Cafe on Pacific between 6th and 7th. Hmmmm not bad, the Denver Omlette was great, the gravy on the buscuit wasn't stellar but not bad either. There are a few advantages of this one over the other great home cooked style restaurants on the area (Omlette and Wafflle House, Gaffey St Diner or Pacific Diner) One is Parking the others have so little parking, another is staff. The Omlette house is trendy and a favorite of longshoremen but the servers all seem to be like school girls who can't dress very well probably why it's a favorite of Longshormen. Back to this place, the food was excellent and very good portion, the server came by several times to make sure we were doing good. One additional erk is how clean it is, this place is way cleaner than any of the other Homestyle restaurants in the area (Some are just disgusting, but still get a letter "A" frem the county?) Anyway both the wife and I give it a thumbs up.

Really Good Breakfast

Nice food at fair price

By Heidi J |

Hold up a fantastic place. There was almost full house when we arrived but we quickly got a table and then came a very comprehensive menu. Everything looked delicious and was at a very reasonable price. We went full and happy from there. Super nice and current service.

Most wonderful and tasty breakfast

By AZFrequent_Traveler |

This place was packed for good reason. The breakfast was utterly delicious with organic food and great coffee. The owner was there to supervise and everything went smoothly. Probably the best breakfast place I have ber eaten in anywhere in the world. And at very reasonable prices.

Nice Sunday Morning Breakfast

By bigjon1784 |

Was staying at waterfront hotel, (Crowne Plaza San Pedro) looking for a nice breakfast place. Using my handy dandy Foursquare City Guide App, it recommended the San Pedro Dely and Cafe. It was about a 15 minute walk from hotel, uneventful on a Sunday. Found cafe, and at first didn't think it was open. However it was and we enjoyed a very nice breakfast, they have an excellent menu with a good selection. The wait staff was very nice and helpful. Recommended.

Perfect Cafe

By NormKeith |

Before going to see some of the sights in San Pedro we wanted breakfast at a local eatery and found the San Pedro Cafe a perfect choice. Many locals, cheerful welcome, friendly attentive service. Neat pictures of old San Pedro and the Three Stooges, favorites of both my wife and I. I had seen online what I wanted and ordered the Cinnamon Apple Waffle (Belgian waffle topped with sautéed cinnamon apples, dusted with powdered sugar and low-fat honey yogurt) you could have whipped cream. You had me at first look, the description says it all, it was a party with every bite. My wife had Red Velvet Pancakes (homemade red velvet pancakes with a cream cheese glaze. Dusted with powdered sugar and topped with garnish of blueberries and strawberries) you can also have whipped cream or yogurt. I asked her why did she order Red Velvet because every time she does she says her mother made it better and she makes it better. Hooray when it came she said you have to try this, she liked it, what more can I say. I wish this cafe was closer to home.

San Pedro Cafe....It’s The Place

By David L |

We were meeting family on the Emerald Princess and wanted to take them to breakfast. There is not much in San Pedro that gets top notch breakfast reviews. Following different reviews, we chose the San Pedro Cafe. It has a rather plain outside, but once you enter the wafting smell of: pancakes, waffles and French toast waft through the restaurant. The best part is that the food and service are as good as the smells.

Good food, convenient to our lodging.

By Ontario76 |

Good basic service, good food, and walking distance from our motel. They were busy, and that's also good to see. They were recommended by a fellow guest our motel and we were pleased. One of our party sampled the chilli and pronounced it good. The others had various burgers, all of which satisfied.

Best Breakfast Ever! :)

By Ana M |

I am a breakfast nut! I loooove my breakfast meals, even if it is dinner time. I have never been disappointed with their meals. They give you generous portions. Only downside is that they close at 3:00 pm :( Another place in Pedro that is worth the visit.

San Pedro Cafe - we will be back!

By Guelph_OnPamc |

We were looking for breakfast before starting a cruise. A local out walking his dog suggested it to us. We had already walked by and did not realize that it was open! The main door is behind a stairway down the side. A few other tables were occupied as we walked in at 8 am on a Friday. Prompt service with coffee and tea and the menu. Loads of choices all at very reasonable prices. My husband ordered the Ted’s Special - 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 pieces of French Toast - a mountain of food! I ordered the Vegi Scramble - 2 eggs scrambled with lots of fresh veggies and Monterey Jack Cheese and a side fruit cup. Both selections were fabulous! By 9:15 all tables were full. If we are ever back in San Pedro, I would return here!

Very good food, excellent service

After visiting the Cabrillo Aquarium and Korean Friendship Bell in San Pedro, we were famished. We stopped into the San Pedro Deli and Cafe and were rewarded with an excellent meal for my son, his daughter and me. The little one chose French Toast and fruit, her father chose the Vera Cruz omelette, and I, the Tuna Melt sandwich.

Good Food and reasonable prices

A cute little place in the heart of the old town district, the café is a great place to grab a bite and start the day. Large breakfast menu offers weekday specials and a variety for everyone. Decorated with nautical themed décor highlighting the nearby LA port.
