Good but not amazing

By Audrey Z |

This is a quaint little place, has an outdoor patio that's decent size and an outdoor area that makes it a relaxed atmosphere. It does look authentic . The food was good. Not the best Greek food I've ever had, but it satisfies the craving. Fries are frozen :/. I have not tried the pizza but it seems to be the favorite for most people who come here. I would definitely go again to try something else on the menu, but I doubt I'll become a regular. It is just a convenient location for my work, so I will most likely give it another try because of that. I had the gyro pita. Again , decent, no real complaints besides the fries, but not the best.

Far better than I could have expected. Great food, genuinely friendly service and amazing value.

Very clean and well run restaurant, I wish there was one like this near me! The happy hour wine was great value for money. The lamb gyros was the best I’ve ever eaten. I wish there was a place like this close to where I live. Well done sir.

Struck of luck!

By mrk162 |

Discovering this authentic Greek restaurant was a delightful stroke of luck. From the moment we stepped inside, we were transported to Greece with the warm ambiance and friendly staff. But it was the food that truly stole the show. Every bite was a burst of flavor, leaving us craving more. The chicken gyro and chicken plate were absolute standouts, cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. And even though fries might not be traditionally Greek, these were a revelation in their own right – crispy, golden, and utterly addictive. Each dish felt like a culinary masterpiece, crafted with care and passion. If you're searching for an unforgettable dining experience, look no further than this hidden gem.

Warm, Welcoming and Wonderful!

We found this little gem out of pure luck! It was an absolutely delicious experience for all of the senses. The food, atmosphere and the owners were beyond my expectations. Looking forward to our next visit to Austin so we can indulge again.

Traditional Greek Taberna

By docwhiteaustin |

Never been to Santorini, but this place evokes memories of our favorite family-run taberna on our visit to Naxos last year. Have enjoyed lunch and dinner several times in the past 3 or 4 months. The family who operates Santorini are always friendly and welcoming. The lamb (gyro) and fries are excellent , and the mousaka was nice but could have had a bit more eggplant to excel. Nice Greek salad and delicious fried dough balls with honey(usually brought out as a complimentary dessert). Good gyro wraps and feta fries. The real hook is the genuinely friendly service. A truly traditional Greek family that makes you feel right at home.

Good food

Good food. Pleasant owners. Nice backyard where kids can play. Overall healthy items and good drink choices. Bathroom can use some remodeling

Nice little secret...

By A. Robinson |

You should absolutely try Santorini Cafe. Authenticity=I fully expect my future trip to Greece to include a little place like this. The couple was very nice and gave us the feel of being in a Grecian cocoon. They also gave me and my colleague our space to chat and catch up. I had the lamb plate and my colleague had the lamb pizza. Both were good dishes. They had some interesting, unexpected dishes on the menu. The place was not busy at all, but the food took a while, so we really enjoyed ourselves. The chef delivered our food, and provided a free appetizer. Also, try the greek white wine, it was delicious.

Love this place!

By Andy R |

The food was great and the service was wonderful! The woman who I’m certain is the owner was so sweet and helpful!

Love the food.

By blue0skye |

Really good food. Environment has a local feel. The lamb was great. Had 2 for dinner! Salad that came with the plate is not Greek salad. That was the only disappointing thing.

Dreaming of Santorini

By Stephanie S |

Delicious fresh food, great service, and nice atmosphere. I’ve been dreaming of a trip to Santorini, and for now, this is as close as I can get. Friendly service and lots of wonderful authentic Greek food to choose from. I had the lamb plate, and it was superb. Great flavor. I loved the atmosphere too. It felt like a solopreneur place (which it is), not a cookie cutter chain. Definitely check this place out. Close your eyes, and maybe you’ll be transported to a Greek island.

Sunshine Supper

Fantastic place with authentic Greek food. Even the simple veggie plate selection was very well done. THe broad selection of Greek beers was also a nice surprise. See you again soon!

delicious meals & lovely atmosphere

By Neta64 |

Our hotel was nearby this cute family restaurant and first time there, we happened to be seated next to a 9-person party that looked like had ordered everything in the menu. The food smelled so good, I was tempted to try everything - we ended up eating multiple meals there. I loved the lamb plate, the tzaziki, the mousaka, and the chicken gyros, accompanied by Greek salad that was fresh and tasty. The hostess added to the charm of the place with her warmth and attentiveness, making us feel at home right away. Loukomades covered with honey and cinnamon made for a nice ending of the meals.

Great lunch spot

By lkschaub |

We visited Santorini Cafe upon the recommendations of colleagues who work in the area, and were not disappointed. I tried the vegetarian plate, and the dolmas and baba ghanoush were among the best I've had. It's a delightful, quaint, and authentic family-owned restaurant were you feel you are experiencing recipes from Greece.

Little greek gem

By irifinco |

Little mom and pop restaurant, with very authentic greek food and greek hospitality. The lamb gyro was exactly how I remember it from Greece, absolutely delicious, the fries were the best I tried in a long time, andy also had greek beer which I love. On top, the owner came to our table with a complimentary plate of cheese pie and a glas of tzipuro ( greek grapa). Give it a try if you happen to be in Austin, you won't be disappointed. Also the prices are very resonable.

Worth the 15 min Hwy 35 drive north from Austin, TX city center

By Al M |

Great food...short and sweet menu with house favorites, fresh ingredients, sizable appetizer and entree portions, seasonings not overpowering - just right. Modest soda fountain, beer, wine selections including sangria. We all selected the house "Lamb Plate" in the form of gyro meat, and it was all delicious 'clean food.' The surroundings are neat as it's a large older home converted into a restaurant with friendly staff, and loved the ample parking surrounding the restaurant. We all enjoyed it, and will be back when next in Austin, TX; it's a keeper. Oh, keep an eye out for speed traps close by the restaurant. 🙂

Just like being back in Santorini - Authentic

By Jason M |

From the decor to the staff originally from Santorini - the food (gyro) lived up to what I was looking to enjoy. We also enjoyed tasting the Loukoumades (tiny beignet covered in honey). This a trek for us but we made it. Definitely on our list of best Greek food in Austin. No pics - forgot and devoured it. Next time.

Delicious Greek Fare, great manager (owner?) and good prices

By Serge B |

As the last time I went there, the food was divine. We shared some Saganaki, and also had a lamb plate, and it was absolutely delicious. One of the rare place where the food is as good as in Greece and Europe in general. The lamb is both tasty and very tender, and all flavors are on point. Will come back whenever I can make it to Austin. The service was impeccable, the lady in charge an absolute sweetheart.

Greek Beignets

By Apanda8 |

My husband and I stopped in here as we were driving back home from Dallas. I took to my bookmark list on Yelp and it landed us here. Upon entering you go to the counter to order your food and then have a seat so they will bring it out. The service time was decent. We saw a family ahead of us who ordered a pizza and looked and smelled delicious. I ordered the Greek salad with lamb meat and dressing on the side. The salad was fresh and the meat was flavorful. The feta cheese was 2 squares instead of being crumbled on top. The pita bread was cut into (4) triangle slices. The pita bread was unlike any I had before in all my travels. It was not bad, it was just different. Not sure I would want to get again though. My husband ordered the gyro plate which was a gyro and a side salad. He liked the meat but also agreed on the pita bread. He just thought it was meh. We were given Greek beignets (5) complimentary. The beignets were light, fluffy and had honey drizzled and cinnamon sprinkled on top. They were good and would highly recommend.

We felt like family here!

By Rangeree |

My son who lives nearby suggested this charming Greek cafe on north Lamar for lunch. Orders are taken at the bar by the matriarch, who was friendly and helpful. When the food came out after a short wait, we were very happy with the quality -- the lamb gyros were tender, juicy, flavorful, and the best I've ever had. The rest of the meal was delicious as well. Do yourself a favor and eat at this lovely cafe!!

Great food and friendly service.

By matsteman |

I was visiting Austin for a couple of days and stopped in this place on a bit of a whim. It was a Monday evening and they weren't busy, so I was a little concerned that the food wouldn't be that good--but I was wrong. It was delicious. And what was even better was the friendly service. The woman who took our order and brought our food was a lovely Greek woman. She gave us a baked goat cheese appetizer and beignets "on the house". This was an unexpectedly great dinner.

What a find!

By Egídio L |

Although I love Greek food, Austin does not have a lot of Greek food restaurants. Today I discovered a hidden gem, and best of all, it's only a little over a mile from my house! Santorini Cafe does not have a huge menu, but what it has -- based on what I had today -- is very good. I was going to try the Gyro sandwich, but changed my mind at the counter and ordered the Lamb Plate. Scrumptious! It comes with several slices of lamb, a small salad (delicious vinegar dressing), a couple of dolmades, some slices of Greek flatbread and a serving of tzatziki. I savored every bite I had. Half way through my meal, a waiter brought a small plate of Greek beignets. If you are not familiar with that, they're also called loukoumathes, traditional Greek beignets dipped in a thyme-honey syrup with cinnamon. That was the perfect dessert to end a delicious meal! At lunch time, you order your food directly at the counter and pick your own table (inside or the patio). A waiter will bring your food to the table. Service was very fast. I got my plate in under 5 minutes.

Where's the Greek?

By CuriousTravelerRadio |

Very nice spot for a simple Greek lunch or dinner. The Greek wine selection is also decent. It would be nice if they painted a bit as the place looks worn. I also wonder if anyone who is Greek actually works here!

Brought My Granddaughter Baklava with Candle For Her 4th Birthday June 2

By RandyMartin |

Great Greek food. The owner makes you feel like you are home. When she found out it was my granddaughter's 4th birthday, she brought out the special dessert with candle lit . This kind gesture made my granddaughter's day even more exciting since it was unexpected. The food is great. I had the vegetable plate which included salad, pita bread, hummus, falafel, dolmas, and baba ghanouj. I cleaned my plate. The rest of my group had gyros - chicken for my granddaughter and lamb for the rest of my group. The gyros are large, but even my granddaughter finished her gyro. If possible, visit before or after the lunch hour - a very popular restaurant.

Great place for kids...or not outside

By Karen D |

Eat here often and everything is good. Lots of Med-Greek favorites. The backyard with tables and games is awesome for families. This will be a go-to place for us in the spring with grandkids.

Take Me To The Greek Secret

By kristian C |

Still one of the best kept secrets in Austin, Tx, I come here when i'm in need of a stay-cation, a get away, and some inspiration. The decor should be enough to impress, statues of handless greeks, posters coded in foreign languages, saturated in a 1980's throwback sound track. The feeling is chill. Most people would follow the crowd, go where the masses are, and partake in the same drab food and drink. If your adventurous, and seek a little taste of Greece, both food and culture but don't wish to travel to the other side of the pond, then venture to Santorini. A sweet motherly figure greets you standing behind the counter and welcomes you with a warming smile, and a subtle greek accent. Greek is still interchanged as the formal communication among the staff, exchanging complex syllables my tongue Order the Greek coffee and/or espresso. Coffee will take possibly 5 minutes to brew for you. Its not made in large batches and stashed away on a hot plate to burn till served...instead, made fresh when you order. You take your seat, inside to listen to the trendy vibes of times past, or outside on the spacious porch to bask in the warm radiance of the Austin sun. You stand a good possibility to be served a special treat with your coffee as well. No where is it mentioned this on the menu yet its still a pleasant surprise. Whether your coming for a coffee date, to finish that memoir or graphic novel, to relax and have a glass of the $3.5 house wine with friends, or to pop by for a Gyro or Salad, you will be elated with your decision to dine at Santorini. Hurry before this becomes a place every one comes to and ruins it.

Always Awesome

By Dana S |

I went to Santorini Cafe today since I was in the area. I love their lamb gyros, which comes with a small salad and a dessert. Their food is always awesome and I love the feel of the place, you can tell it is a little mom & pop restaurant. It is always neat & clean and the people friendly. I would highly recommend this place to friends.

Good Greek food

By a k |

Good Greek food in a warm inviting atmosphere. The lamb and chicken gyros are recommended. At the end of the meal a small plate of warm desserts come compliments of the establishment.

Just go! It’s delish!

By ourboysmom |

I went solo as in town for conference. Fresh salad, lamb meat perfectly cooked. Crisp but moist. Good value for the price, too. Everything tasted fresh and scratch made.

The best falafel…period.

By Caf80 |

Absolutely the best falafel I’ve ever had. Light and crispy. The tsatiki sauce was delicious. Definitely a keeper. The dolmas were wonderful too.

Not my Greek

By john g |

The pizza looked good, the inside was cute, and the happy hour worked even on a Friday night. However, the food that I ordered was not significantly Greek. The lamb was just the meat cone and not particularly Greek in flavour, just a generic commercial product, the accompanying salad was a mixed green thing with no olives, and the tzatziki was bland. Outside was a fierce karaoke crowd but thankfully little of the music penetrated the building. All purchases are at the bar inside and you get a number for the food to be delivered. Parking was a bit of problem, as there are three or four restaurants in a little lot, and I had to sit around waiting for someone to leave. I doubt I would return.

Psst, don't tell anyone

By Lucie_tx |

This place my friends took me to (their favorite hangout) is my "find of the month" (at least, if not half-a-year) It is a small Greek restaurant, family business. The food looks quite authentic, even though I have never been to Greece and we just shared two platters among 3 people this time. The folks running it are very friendly, the occasional language barrier is not a big deal :-). Sitting outside, in the roomy backyard, under the skies, sharing meal with friends and sipping Retsina while the kiddos play in the safety of the fenced area was the highlight of my week. And I am certainly coming back. Soon.

Greek deliciousnes!

By Kenyontoo |

I went in last night. Waiting for a friend, I ordered a Malbec and baklava. The owner at the counter was a sweet, little lady. After a few minutes sitting another member of what I'm going to assume is one, big, amazing Greek family brought over some Greek beignets on the house. Really?! Awesome! Then my friend arrived and we sat for a bit, having another baklava and sipping wine when the Father/Grandfather came over to being us a tasty sample of a chicken stew on rice dish which was also delicious. And again, "on the house". Then we got a heaping plate of the beignets we had ordered when my friend arrived. They're super tasty! Light, drizzled with honey and sprinkled with cinnamon. After some chatting the sweetest lady in the world (who we both wanted to put in our pocket and take home) came over with 2 glasses of wine, again "on the house"! At one point we walked out onto the front porch. I left my wallet on the table because I wanted them to know we weren't running off. So, the father/grand (we called him Bilbo Baggins because he was) comes running out worried that someone had left it and looking for the owner. He didn't speak english but was obviously very concerned and relieved when he found me. Not because I might not pay but because he genuinely did not want someone leaving without their wallet. This place is fantastic. The food and wine are good but the people running it are wonderful, genuine, caring, lovely, sweet and extremely generous. Such a great experience. I'll be back until they adopt me or let me just live there. Oh, and the vibe is super chill, the prices are very reasonable and bla bla just go because of the welcoming family, beignets amd wine. You will not be dissapointed. If you are, you're probably dead inside.

Fantastic!

By J. A |

I've been twice now for lunch. The food is fantastic, the people are friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and friendly. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes. Highly recommend.

Great littlle Greek restaurant

By Joseph V |

Three of us visited this family-owned and operated restaurant in Austin, Texas. The Greek food is very good and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The only issue I had is that you must order at the bar/reception counter and a waitress will bring your order to the table. I prefer sitting and having a waiter/waitress take my order. Maybe that's just me; however, the Santorini Café is well worth going to for really good Greek food.

What an amazing experience!!

By Shari1972 |

We live in south Austin and were VERY leary about driving north on 35 to get to this restaurant because as you may know, traffic is HORRIBLE, especially when we went which was about 6pm. After sitting in the traffic that we expected we were SO PLEASED that we did!! This restaurant is absolutely WONDERFUL! We were offered two different sampler dishes, yes, FOR FREE! The man who stepped out from the kitchen who I assumed was the owner was warm and welcoming as well as his whole staff. The food was OUTSTANDING and we sat outside an watched a live mini band perform while we ate the most delicious greek food. We will DEFINITELY be back for more!

Great food!!!

By brenda h |

We enjoyed our dinner so much and plan to eat there often! ! The spinich pie was amazing and look forward to trying the cheese pie next time. The gyros were perfect and the pita bread so warm and soft!! Great tzatziki!!!! We loved everything we had and plan to return very soon!! Owners are very nice too.

Nice Experience!!

By Martin Almayahi |

We went there last Sunday for lunch and we did love the place. Good food and nice atmosphere!! I had the chicken plate and was tasty. Their dessert wasn't that good but it always fun to try!! We had good time in there.

Good greek spot

By Summer TX Traveler |

Came here for our evening meal, ordered at the bar and were served very quickly at our table. Really fresh Greek salad, lamb gyros and dolma. Generous portions on the gyro sandwich (in really fresh tasty pita), is served with tsaziki but you can substitute hummus if you prefer. We were treated to some free loukoumades (hot honey puffs), which was a nice touch. A good choice for Greek food in Austin!

OUtstanding Meal!

By Laurabeth25 |

We arrived early and had the proprietor's undivided attention. We loved everything on the table, including the unexpected treats provided "on the house!" The dolmades were tender and delicious. The pita was remarkably good - hot and fresh! The chicken soup was an almost miraculously simple rich broth with a delightful lemony flavor. Our party tried three different gyros, and liked them all: the veggies were crisp and generous, the lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned, and the meatballs were what I dream of meatballs being: perfect tender texture and a flavor that made my eyes close with delight. I'd never had Greek coffee before, but the strong, rich hot brew was the perfect compliment to the loukoumades (Greek beignets) we shared for dessert. As great as the food was, the hospitality was even more memorable. I can't wait to return!

Great food and service

By ChowHound2015 |

We were a party of six. Lamb gyros sandwiches , meatball pizza, gyro platter, baked feta, hummus and fries. The portions were very generous and prices low. We are Greek food foodies and this place hits the mark! Service was prompt and the owner even came by to be sure all was good. Server brought out a complimentary dessert of beignets (Loukoumades) to finish us off. Highly recommend Santorini Cafe.

Small portion sizes and ok food

By angieann10 |

We visited this restaurant because of the good reviews, but the portions were so small we had to go back to the line to keep ordering more food. The food is okay, but there are better places for Greek food in Austin that aren't so far from the city center, and that are cheaper.

Nice hidden Austin gem. Highly recommended. Great staff and excellent prices!

By betty b |

A friend of mine and her son took me here for a birthday lunch and we could not have enjoyed it more! This family owned restaurant has the most amazing hospitality! I believe it was the owner that stopped by twice to make sure everything was good. It was great! The young ladies that took our order at the counter were so friendly and helpful and welcomed us at is was our first time dining there. Two of us had the lamb plate and the other had the vegeterian plate. We ordered the spinach pies as an appetizers and they were surely homemade and delicious. The Italian sodas were off the charts and freshly made. The lamb was well prepared and the pita bread was excellent. My friend loved the vegetarian plate and said the hummus and baba ganoush were delicious. As a nice touch, they brought by an order of beingets on the house. This place is just a few minutes from my neighborhood and I wish we had discovered before! Nice hidden Austin gem. Highly recommended. Great staff and excellent prices!

Excellent and authentic Greek food

By Gfiniti |

In Austin for a family get-together, and wanted some Greek food. The Santorini Cafe was highly recommended on TripAdvisor, so we decided to give it a try. What an AMAZING place. We were warmly greeted by a very personable Greek lady, and she made our visit a pleasure. Our party had the lamb gyros, the spanakopita, and the Santorini trio (Baba Ganoush, tzatziki and hummus w/ pita) and saganaki appetizers. One of our party is of Greek descent, and could attest to the authenticity of the flavors. Everything was fantastic, and we were even offered the Greek beignets as a complimentary dessert! I would highly recommend the Santorini Cafe to anyone looking for authentic Greek cuisine in Austin.

Very Good Greek Food

By Dan G |

Stopped here for lunch and what a very nice find. A family run business who really cares about the customers and food. The grandmother takes your orders and I am assuming her son cooks and delivers your food. The young granddaughter is in the crib watching some of her favorite cartoons on her personal TV. Like I said a family business. Now onto the food... We ordered Lamb Gyros, with extra tzatziki and extra feta. They were delicious and also filled with lots of lamb! With our meal, the grandmother brought us greek honey soaked doughnuts, they were also very good. These we did not order however were provided free of charge. When in the area, I will stop in again for another good meal.

Authentic Greek Food, Wonderful Owner

By jtbc558 |

Second visit to Santorini Cafe during different Austin visits, both times fun experience and delicious Greek food. The lady/owner at the ordering counter is delightful. Both visits we received two different complementary small plates. This cafe is perfect for vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. Portions are large and reasonably priced plus so delicious. Our group ordered and enjoyed a variety of dishes: vegetarian plate, lemon/chicken soup, gyros, homemade baklava, flaming Greek cheese appetizer, etc. Both wine and beer are available. Highly recommended is Santorini Cafe, will definitely go back when in Austin.

So delicious

By littlebit0863 |

Love this place, it was very mom and pop. I had the vegetarian plate, and it had a little bit of everything. Sit outside on nice evenings, you'll be glad you did. The mom and son staff were so kind to us and helped us recommend some tasty options. I'll be dreaming of those stuffed grape leaves for months.

True Greek food in a sea of impostors

By Jack M |

What a pleasant relief to go to. Real Greek restaurant. So many places advertise as “Greek” only to disguise their really Mediterranean or Arabic - not to say Arabic is bad. I love Arabic / Persian food but so t like it when they say they’re something they’re not The owner is a sweet Greek lady who greets you with a smile and suggestions from their wonderful menu The tzatziki is wonderful. Thick rich and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of garlic The pasticho is also perfect Don’t leave without a glass of Greek wine and our course loukomades to finish off this wonderful meal Only about 10 minutes from downtown Austin Make the trip Enjoy the food Yiasas!

Absolutely authentic and delicious.

By a k |

We went here twice during our week in Austin and loved the food! I had the chicken gyro hot from the pan. As an extra touch both times we were served complimentary dessert. The second time, because the owner is so warm, my daughter and I got a hug as well. Great food and you'll feel at home.

Our Big Fat Greek Cafe

By enur1979 |

Fast food meets Greek cafe. Fairly authentic Greek food, in appropriately large portions. Just as good for pickup as to dine-in. Room is not very big but can seat small groups of guests. Outdoor deck looks nice for evening parties.

It’s not Greek to me!

By BeckyinBend |

I know Greek food and this was not it! I ordered the chicken plate. The cooked chicken was nondescript! I couldn’t tell how it was cooked. I expected it to Be grilled with oil and spices, like a kabob. It was maybe sautéed with some kind of sauce or spices, it had a red tinge to it? Not real tasty or moist, no doubt cooked in large batches? Came with “Greek salad” greens with one slice of tomato, one small slice of cucumber and an oil based dressing. I found it unremarkable! Also came with 2 small grape leaves which were the best part of the dinner. I was told they ran out of pilaf/rice at lunch time! Really and they couldn’t make more for dinner? We are visiting Austin so I would have no reason to go back to this place.

Fine little Greek Cafe

By pbohr |

I've only tried this place on off afternoons, when there was neither live music nor crowds. I found the food very good, and the staff authentic. The space is not large indoors but they have some outdoor space for fine weather days (spring and fall here in Texas). I mean to return sometime for the live music.

Worth the effort to find

By Twoey22 |

We googled for a Greek restaurant on our way to Austin International airport for our return trip to Portland,OR. This was so worth the 10-15 minutes off the freeway to find. The owner is charming, the food is obviously old family recipes made with love and attention. Prices were very reasonable - shared appetizer, 2 gyros which come with salad, and shared beignets was under $50 including 20% tip. Dining available inside and on lovely deck.

In Austin for a get away and

By Escape638860 |

In Austin for a get away and experience a new place. Greek food is one of my absolute favorites. The lamb gyro is amazing! One of the best I’ve eaten. Friendly staff and great place to dine!

Disappointing!

By SuzieFA |

We were there with family. Ordered a few appetizers, which were just okay. Next came the entrees. Two of us ordered the fish plate. There were three pieces of fried fish on each plate. Every piece was the same shape and size, indicating it was straight out of a pre made frozen package (picture frozen fish sticks). "Greek"salad did not contain kalamata olives or feta cheese. Another plate had falafel all shaped the same. Also straight out of a package. Does the restarant do any of its own cooking? Doubtful! We have been to many Greek restaurants in NYC, DC, etc. and have been to Greece., where even in very inexpensive restaurants the food was far superior to this. Austinites....Five stars???

Interesting Greek Restaurant

By russminton |

Santorini Cafe is located on North Lamar Blvd. in a little enclave that includes a couple of other restaurants. Ordering is at the bar and your meal is delivered to your table by the proprietor. We shared an excellent starter plate of Tsaziki, Hummus, and Babaganoush with fresh Pita bread, then enjoyed the Lamb Gyro plate which was served with Dolmas, fresh Pita and Tsaziki. The entire meal was outstanding. We were also served freshly made Greek Beignats with honey and cinnamon "on the house". If you happen to be in Austin, by all means stop and have a meal at the Santorini Cafe.

Not good 🤢

By Wendy C |

The food was just ok and there was a hair on two separate pieces of my order. I will not be returning to this establishment.

I Love this Greek Restaurant & Owner!

By BigHenry911 |

Let me start by saying the Greek Owner is so sweet and loving. She speaks broken English but her love for my daughters was overwhelming. She was very friendly and very attentive. She even gave us FREE DESSERT!!! The atmosphere is very open and warm. Plenty of light mid-day. Located off Lamar in a circle of other businesses. A really great location. Now onto the food: 9.5 Rating - Salad w/Balsamic Vinaigrette Lamb w/Tzatziki Sauce Gyro on Pita Flat Bread. 9 Rating - Saganaki Fried Cheese Fire (actually Flaming Cheese)! 8.5 Rating - Greek Pepperoni Pizza (tomato-based sauce had a sweet taste). And 10 Rating - Greek Beignets w/Thyme Honey Syrup & Cinnamon (these babies are addictive when hot). I recommend this place, no doubt. Very friendly and worth the visit. Tell them Big Henry sent you.

FANTASTIC

By Melissa D |

I haven’t been to Austin in years but randomly I’ve been 2 weekends in a row. After my girlfriends brought me last week this was a MUST DO this week with family when we were back in town. Even if you don’t think you like Greek food you will LOVE everything. Seriously the BEST tzatziki sauce I’ve ever had and the lamb has no words. A new must do when I come to visit!!!!

Favorite Greek in Austin

By Jennifer V |

My husband's family is Greek and we love our Greek food. We've been on a hunt for a great place in Austin and this is our new favorite. The food was fantastic - we had dolmas with delicious tzatziki sauce and a Greek salad with Lamb. The owner was adorable and brought out a plate of her yummy loukoumades for us after. They had a good selection of beer and wines and a great casual atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!

Mom & Pop Greek Restaurant and Cafe

By AustinsIrishPirate |

I never go anywhere else if I am looking for good Mediterranean food. They are open pretty late, the couple makes food from scratch and are very attentive. You order at the counter, so don't be surprised if you walk in and there is no one waiting to seat you, but that means you get to choose where in this cute cafe you get to be -- and there is a patio outside as well! Their food is excellent, and there are plenty of choices.

Loved!!

By JSLoveis13 |

Ordered two lamb gyros and one fish gyros. Soooo yummy. The feta fries was also delish. Everything taste so fresh. The pita bread taste like it was made fresh. I can't wait to go back. Hope I'm in the area again soon. The last offered free desert and drink while we waited..
