The brunch here is really, really good. There are lots of options and they have good mimosas and bloody marys as well.

No good. Worst service I’ve had in a long time. Saw great reviews online and brought my family from FL in. Our waiter was terrible. I can understand slower service with a larger party (10 people) but when the kitchen is slow, the drinks are slow and the waiter makes no effort to explain what’s going on I lose my patience. The final straw was when my parents told him the fries were cold and and he said that “some of them might be ok…check under the top ones.” Done.

After a short hike from a near by neighborhood, my sweetheart & I reached the Bistro by twilight time and made ourselves comfortable outside on their patio. We started with the house Chardonnay which was light, with a little taste of fruit and butter and an order of Tuna Tartare Napoleon which was excellent! Feeling lucky we chose to raid the happy hour menu for an adventurous type of meal. We next chose a Greek Fireside Sagnaki which was Greek cheese pan-seared & flame kissed with a shot of Greek Ouzo (at your table side, so have your phone/camera ready -it's impressive) then served with a tomato-olive relish & grilled pita bread. This too was just excellent! (How can one mess up cheese?) And our final dish, and this truly made for a complete meal, we had Lettuce Wraps -peanut basted chicken (you can opt for tofu), crisp Boston lettuce, julienned carrots, purple cabbage, crispy wontons, peanuts & ginger soy dipping sauce. The staff was friendly but very busy. All in all this was a wonderful casual dinner shared with someone special!

What a great surprise this place was, a nice varied menu, the Parmesan truffle French fries were to die for! Stuffed avocado salad was a generous portion as were the gyros.

The Satellite Bistro has a it all-great food at a reasonable price. We dined in the outside patio which was very serene and relaxing. We enjoyed excellent service and delicious cocktails in the perfect Austin atmosphere. If you happen to be going down to Texas, drive to Austin and pay a visit to the Satellite Bistro.

I had been to Satellite for a Sunday Brunch which was excellent but have never been there for dinner. We had a great waitress, Hannah, who could make the adjustments we needed and even helped me leave with extra salsa. The appetizers were more than enough for the four of us. The queso was excellent the trio included some of the best salsa I have ever eaten. I had a crab and avocado salad with extra shrimp. I devoured it. My husband had a Bloody Mary that was very spicy so unless you like spicy ask for a regular one. He had the Thai chicken pasta and he ate every bite. Our friends ate ribeye and pork chops and both thought it was very good. I could not eat dessert, but we shared a carrot cake and bread pudding. With a great atmosphere, wonderful waitress, and delicious food, Satellite will be seeing us again soon.

Always good food with healthy choices. The menu changes periodically and there are daily specials prepared by the chef so no matter how often you visit, there is something interesting to order. Covered/heated outdoor seating available. Live music on the weekends.

Yes, I'm a regular and a big fan of this place. Great live music, excellent service, classic and well made drinks especially the "call me old fashioned"! Quite possibly the best appetizer in the Tuna Tartar anywhere. Fantastic burgers! If you have not tried this place you are missing one of the best out there.

What an array of choices the Satellite Bistro offers. The setting is upscale and quite trendy, yet their food is quite delicious. The menu is varied and upscale in choices. The bar is well stocked and bar staff are knowledgeable about various drink concoctions.

Slow lousy service coupled with outdated and tired menu. I guess captive audience in Circle C is your excuse for not evolving? This place used to be better but ownership has cashed in and sold out. Maybe someday they'll change but as long as they have a captive audience in south Austin why bother? Strongly suggest you revamp your tired menu and try a tapas menu. I can stay home and have better made drinks and food and will!

This is a neighborhood restaurant off of loop 1 with the new focus on very small tables for 2. It is noisy but they is probable because it is in a neighborhood with lots of families. The food was very good. The dessert was excellent with the only problem was no bread with the meal.

We made reservations here for Easter brunch via Open Table. No where did it state it was going to be a buffet only. We were a bit disappointed as we really are not fans of a buffet. The buffet was fine. It had some breakfast items and some lunch items. The line was a bit long to get through and part of that issue was the lids were on everything. Every single person had to move the lids. I get it when there is not a line but when there is line remove the lids so things move more quickly. They were doing their best to keep stuff filled. The waitress was nice. We did have to wave her down for refills on our coffees twice. Overall a decent meal. I don't think we would come back if we knew it was going to be a buffet. This is a bit south for us but if back in the area would probably give another chance to try their menu and be on a regular night. Note some tables are pub height and others are normal height. They do have a few tables outside on a patio area.

Food is all excellent. I especially love the asian noodle salad with shrimp. My husband loves the orchid chicken. The kids love the appetizer - saganaki - which is a greek cheese sautéed on a hot plate and then flamed at your table and served with fresh pita. Delicious and definitely worth getting, you won't be disappointed. Very good selection of desserts with my favorite being the bread pudding with whiskey sauce. On Friday, Saturday nights they usually have a live jazz band playing which is great! The seating outdoors is lovely. Oh and the ahi tuna appetizer if fantastic also! You can sit at the bar for a drink and eat if you prefer. Unfortunately they are not open for lunch any more during the week but are on weekends.

This is a review of Slaughter/Escarpment location. Excellent food served by an inattentive waitress on a sticky table. Enough said.

Usually in the company of relatives, I frequently dine at the Satellite Bistro and Bar when I visit Austin. Today we had lunch at the Satellite and sat outside on the patio. The service was attentive and friendly and the food, as usual, very good. The grilled chicken Caesar salad was excellent. While we did not avail ourselves to it today, this upscale restaurant has a good wine list. I will certainly return to the Satellite.

Had a groupon and visited around my birthtday. Crab cakes were ok. Wife got the salad and that was real good. I had the scallops which were great.

since we've been here..... and not sure why! Satellite has always been easy in / easy out, consistently good and reasonably priced. The one thing I would ask of them would be to expand the menu - it's not expansive. Maybe that's why it's been awhile. But as I said to start, I shouldn't have waited so long to return. This time we had the penne pasts with yard bird and the panko fried shrimp - both rocked. They had a lovely Malbec Rose to pair with.....

Satellite, located in far South Austin, is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant and bar. The food is prepared as requested and it is delicious. The service is friendly and helpful and the ambiance is relaxed. I have dined here on several occasions and I have always come away satisfied with the experience.

Satellite has the best Ahi Tuna appetizer - stacked wontons with avocado, soy, and wasabi sauce. To die for. Mexican Martini was great as well. Live music was fun with a little sultry jazz trio. My husband had the Orchid Chicken which was wonderful and I had the Thai Peanut Stir Fry which seemed to keep growing as I ate - great portion! We were both very pleased with our meal and with the service. Everyone works together to make sure your table is cleared and your water glass is full. Oh, and brunch is great too, especially the Bloody Marys! Best of all, they are only 2 miles away. Little local places are the best!

Just had the most delicious burger on a gluten free bun. They serve it with thin perfectly cooked fries with a side of their own sweet smoky tomatoe jam. OMGood! Apparently the owner is gluten free so they are very gluten aware and have a knowledgeable friendly staff. The other item we've gotten that's out-a-sight is a Avocado crab stuffed salad. The organic Skinny Marg is very tasty, too.

We has the creamy Penne Pasta and the bourbon glazed meatloaf, both were exceptional. The service was good, a bit slow but the meals require us to return

Satellite has become the local eatery it always aspired to be. We find ourselves there more often after several years of not giving it another thought. There is a great HH community of neighbors that all know each other and has become a friendly familiar place to catch up with faces and names you may only see there. The bartenders are professional, friendly, courteous and on point. Always asking how you are doing at the right time and not all the time. On our last visit, I noticed some new things. They have a new patio almost completely finished and very well appointed. Menu looked a tad different and we actually got a table with some friends for a proper dinner. Appetizers of Calamari and Tuna Tartare were served quickly and were fresh and enjoyable. Entrees of an Angus Burger and Thai Chicken Stir-Fry arrived afterwards. I rarely order burgers, it's not my thing, but my burger here was cooked to order, crunchy lettuce and a brioche bun were all great. It was delicious, I ate the other half cold the next morning and it still had all the flavors in place. Stir Fry was a large order which my wifey chomped through and had enough for leftovers. One item of note, was the care taken when we asked to pack up our left overs. Not just thrown in a box and handed over. This to me shows pride in what they serve. They have come a long way since opening 9 yrs ago and have become what the original owners probably envisioned but couldn't achieve. Oh and if we couldn't get enough, we now have a new print in our guest bedroom which we purchased right off their wall.

Been back more than once and this place is still the best kept secret in South Austin. Get there for happy hour and sit by the fireplace and have a few drinks. Sample the appetizers and move to the awesome entries. Get some wine and chill to the tunes. This is an adult getaway so leave the kids at home and remember why you like to go out to eat.

Great breakfast variety. Wonderful take on a burger and fries. Locally sourced veggies. Retro ambiance.

We had a dinner here with my daughter and it was an okay atmosphere. Some days can really be very noisy especially at Bar. I love the way their food is beautifully presented and it's very delicious too. I will recommend this place to my family and friends.

four of us ate at satellite yesterday evening ,10/20/16. i had angus burger, really beefy tasting - cooked just correctly, a little crusty on the edge. new menu item - 4 of us shared a fried bread pudding with ice cream - warm crisp on outside creamy inside - a really new delicious taste treat for the 4 of us.

Satellite Bistro is awesome:) it has a retro 'MadMen' feel. I usually get the champagne Gorgonzola salad with salmon, but this time I tried the avocado crab salad- sooo good. My husband always gets the scallops. Half price bottle of wine on Mondays and a lot of great music here :)

Saganaki not halloumi, was replaced with “melted” cheese including strong tasting provolone. Not good. HEB across the street has a lower cost cows milk halloumi which would much better. Penne pasta was over cooked, not Al dente as stated on menu, also no garlic sauce, only melted cheese with poor flavor. Overall a disappointment -not even close to the same food quality that used to be. Also not the same food stated on the menu!! Great service!

Satellite has been in the SW area for many years. It offers very good, quality food. Not fine dining but a very good menu. Service is always attentive. Locals know this as one I our "go to" local restaurants. Sunday brunch is always busy so be prepared to wait I after 11 am.

very tasty food. Great service. I was invited for a father's day lunch which was supposed to be a buffet with a prime rib which was my favorite meal. However, the buffet and the prime rib were disappointedly cancelled. However, the menu items were very good.

6 of us went for a meal here, the food was delicious, we were well served and the desert was - INCREDIBLE!

This local neighborhood bar restaurant is perfect if you're anywhere in the South West Austin area. They have an extensive menu and a great happy hour. The food is always really fresh and tasty and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone that can come to the Southwest Austin area.

Limited menu on Sundays but it was delicious. They always have a pancake special of the day and some great eggs benedict selections. I took the kids who both order the giant pancake with blueberries. It was huge and they couldn't finish but admitted it was delish. Good Mimosas...relaxing vibe...cool decor.

My friend & I came here for a girls night out. This charming restaurant has great drinks, food and desserts. We really enjoyed the specials they offered that night; whiskey drinks, lime shrimp & bread pudding. We also really liked the truffle fries & orchid chicken. This is one place I would go back to when I'm in Austin.

I had to try this place being conveniently located near my SW Austin residence. I tried the Scallop plate; I must say, the plate looked like it was prepared in a fine dining restaurant (read: small serving), and the price was not cheap, but the taste and quality of the food did not measure up. The service was nice and the ambience is suitable for a happy hour, but don't have any misconceptions with the "Bistro" name. Stick with drinks and appetizers and order a burger if you're hungry.

I love that this restaurant is in my neighborhood. I'm not sure I'd travel from North Austin to dine here, but it's a really good place to have close by when you want a nice meal and beverages. There aren't many places that are worthy of a repeat visit within a three-mile radius of my home, so Satellite Bistro is an exceptional delight. I usually go for Happy Hour to sit out on their patio. It's comfortable, suitable for conversation, and service is always attentive. Most recently went for dinner with eight other guests, so we dined inside on three or four tables that were pushed together for our large group. Everything about the experience worked. Our server was very available to us--he never let a glass get empty without offering to take another order. The appetizers and entrees were all perfectly prepared, and the staff was very happy to split our bill into nine separate tickets without adding the automatic gratuity that I expected to be on the bill. My only complaint was that it was somewhat loud and difficult to hear your dining companions, but that probably wasn't Satellite's fault: we were nine women drinking wine and spread out into two rows facing one another. ' We ordered several appetizers to share with the table, and all were terrific. I especially liked the Greek Fireside Saganaki and Lettuce Wraps. The Queso Blanco was really good, too. My entree was the fried shrimp, and it was perfectly prepared and portions were large. Others at my table loved the Crab Cakes and the Orchid Chicken. I'll definitely go back. Note: I believe the owners are Greek, so it's really nice that some of their appetizers and and entrees speak to their Greek heritage. But, there's enough variety on the menu to suit many palates.

Found this restaurant through the OpenTable app and very glad we did!! The food was delicious. I had shrimp meal which included coleslaw, jalapeño cornbread, shrimp and French fries. My husband had the chicken penne pasta. We also ordered the trio queso, salsa, avocado appetizer. We were hungry and portion sizes were great. Service was outstanding.

Decent food. So loud you could set off a fire alarm and almost not hear it, as happened tonight. Food was good. Portions were adequate. Service was good. Prices reasonable. Worth it if you live nearby and it's convenient, but I'd not drive far to go here.

Interesting menu offerings, especially the appetizers. The bar makes good cocktails. The entrees were ok but overpriced. Good atmosphere.

Since Satellite is in our neighborhood, we visit for dinner, fantastic happy hour, late night snack, etc. The menu is interesting and varied. The food presented is fresh, thoughtfully prepared and quickly served. Service is consistently friendly and attentive. Great drinks and wine, too. Grilled Salmon is my go to (sub garlic mashed for basmati, omg fabulous), but everything is good. The raw tuna appetizer may be the best appetizer in the city. Thank you, Satellite!

There is a wide selection of brunch items including a wide selection of takes on eggs Benedict. You can also enjoy a variety of Mimosas

This is a frequent stopover for us and we have never been disappointed with the quality of the food , the very attentive service and Jen behind the bar is ultra helpful and fast !

I have been to the Satellite on a couple of occasions - always in the evenings - and I have always been pleased. The last time I dined there I had grilled shrimp and the two other members of my party had the special - grilled salmon. The food was good and the service was exceptional. Particularly pleasing was live music from the Marshall Ford Swing Band. For a good time, and for a good casual dining experience, visit the Satellite Bistro.

I go here frequently by myself or with family. It's close to my house, but worth a drive from anywhere in the Oak Hill, Sunset Valley area. The bar is small and cozy. Its always lively so there is some energy to the place. Great bartenders, knowledgeable in their craft and cute to boot. The food tends to be on the Mediterranean side, but don't overlook the steak. Its well cooked and reasonably priced. You can sit outside, and bring your well-behaved dog if you like. I would recommend it to out of towners to get a feel for Austin-friendly restaurants with out the hassle of driving far. You can also combine your visit with a pre-meal drink at one of the other two restaurants in the neighborhood. Cheers.

Very fun and elegant food! Service was great! Appetizers are very good! Fun, lively atomosphere. Even though they didn't have champagne for sale, they opened a bottle for us to toast. Thought it was so sweet that they went above and beyond.

This is worth the drive From anywhere in Austin or walk if in Circle C! Wonderful combination of atmosphere and food. Great service and live music compliment the eclectic menu. One of the few places where you order a glass of wine and they give you a full glass of wine not the half pour. Can't wait to come back for happy hour specials and the brunch everyone raves about.

This year we had brunch at the Satellite on the day of Christmas Eve. The service was attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. This is a great neighborhood restaurant in the Circle C Ranch development. Give it a try.

The Satellite Bistro and Bar serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday, and we dined at this popular neighborhood restaurant on Sunday around noon. The place was packed but we were fortunate to arrive just as a party of eight to ten people were leaving following a birthday celebration. I have eaten at this restaurant previously, but this was the first time I was there for brunch. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. We continue to be pleased with our dining experiences at the Satellite.

Over the past few years, when visiting Austin, I have dined at the Satellite on four or five occasions. On my most recent visit to Austin we had dinner at this up-scale neighborhood restaurant. The food is well-prepared and the service is friendly. The shrimp I ordered was excellent. We'll continue to return to the Satellite.

This spacious, 1960’s,George Jettson designed beauty is a visual walk down memory lane for me. Turquoise booths, retro bar complete with space needle light fixtures. But that’s where the 60’s end. No cheese whiz appetizers, Jell-O molds, or Chicken a ’la King served up here. What is dished out lovingly, and with the serviced of a fine French restaurant (without the tude), is worth the drive to the Circle C area, and then some. Here’s a sampling of what my group of friends ordered on my visit last month: Diver scallops cooked to perfection with heavenly subtle saffron infused sauce. Fresh, and fabulous. French Pork Chops with a red wine reduction glace served with garlic mashed potatoes. All you carnivores, like my husband, will appreciate and be craving this again and again. Stacked Chicken Enchiladas—If you still need to get your Tex-Mex on in Austin, this is the place to order up some fine South of the Border fare. Bring on the verde sauce and spice. I’m not a big Mad Men, I’ll have my martini, shaken not stirred kind of gal. Signature martinis however has my name (and my friends) name all over them. Ketel 1-- Austin’s beloved home town vodka is the perfect choice for the Lemon drop. While the Mojitos martini is a refreshing blast of mint, perfect on a hot, Texas day. In summary, lead foot it down I-35 South to experience upscale dining, Texas size portions, stellar service, and most important of all, damn good food with a modern twist.

Met colleagues for drinks. Had the House cab and it was good. Quiet enough to have a conversation. Good location.

So we were lucky to get a small table indoors. After we were seated two older women asked for a booth but no can do because the best seats are reservation only, apparently. I did like the grapefruit mimosas and the eggs Benedict were fine. We will go back but call two hours ahead.

Great place to pop in on the weekend for Brunch. House Bloody Mary's were spicy enough and the food was excellent. Wish I had taken some pictures to share.

Drinks and apps with friends on a Sunday night. Outdoor seating. Great presentation with the sprenaka cheese. Tofu lettuce wraps and crab cake. All recommended!

The restaurant is relatively small, with a small bar. It is more upscale than a chain restaurant and slightly more expensive. The food is very good, but the portions can be small.

We have gone to the Satellite ever since it first open in Oak Hill before moving to the Slaughter location. The brunch is wonderful. They have added a brisket type of eggs benedict with sausage that is great. Although my favorite the Lunar Lander consisting of smoked Salmon croquettes sauteed spinach and fried eggs cannot be beat by any brunch in town the other brunch offers: the lanchpad and satellite omelet will not be disappointing. And that with a carfee of mimosas and maybe the pancake of the day your weekend is off to a great start. The staff is friendly and the intimate nature of the restaurant is refreshing. And compared to a brunch downtown now it's downright a good deal!

It has been quite some time since I last visited the Satellite - pre-pandemic. I was disappointed with the lack of service and a menu with a number of entrees unavailable. For lunch one has to order using a smart phone and one is required to pay for the food prior to receiving it. The food was okay but not as good as I remembered it. As one reviewer commented, the Satellite used to be better. We agree.

My group of 5 had Sunday Brunch at the Satellite Grill. We had reservations and were seated upon arrival. The service seemed just a tad bit slow. Our waiter had at least 5 other tables he was serving. We eventually got our pitcher of Mimosa's, and settled in for the wait for our food. Water refills were few and far between. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The others all had brunch items, and I had a Champagne Gorgonzola Salad topped with a crab cake. It was excellent.

When I am in Austin visiting my brother and sister-in-law we occasionally visit the Satellite, either for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Today it was brunch for my brother and sister-in-law and lunch for me. The service was friendly, our menu selections were delivered to us as ordered, and the food was delicious. We enjoyed this trip to the Satellite and we will return. If I were to offer some constructive criticism, the room was too cold and the music on the sound system was a bit too loud.

My colleague and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Satellite Bistro & Bar in Austin. Its unassuming location in a strip center should not deceive you. It is a neighborhood gem. Our waiter Myles was very attentive as well as helpful with menu recommendations and choices. He did not steer us wrong with the incredible appetizer Greek Fireside Saganaki which was exceptionally delicious and very tasty. The Cognac Scallops melted in my mouth and were prepared perfectly with the proper accoutrements. We had an early dinner and reaped the benefits of happy hour drink prices. The next time I am in Austin for business I will definitely return to the Satellite Bistro & Bar.

Ate lunch here with a couple of friends recently and it is really a neat place. The food was prepared well. Good choice of sandwiches and soups and wraps and drinks. Good staff. Good available parking. A nice experience and out of this world atmosphere.

We met friends here for dinner on a Friday evening and the restaurant was packed. The staff were very attentive and service was great. The food was amazing, flavorful and served promptly after we ordered, a credit to the kitchen with such a crowd and such a large menu. Our friends selected the restaurant and we are glad they made such a great choice.

The Satellite Cafe offers a close by and local spot to enjoy a nice dinner or bunch, with good service and ambiance.

First time for me here. The risotto with shrimp and lobster was excellent and refined. Others reported the hamburger and pork chop also well done and nicely presented. A small child was well received and there were appropriate menu items.

I have enjoyed lunch at Satellite several times and have enjoyed their yummy salads. For dinner, however, the place is way too loud for me. When there is live music, it is usually very good, and seems to cut out a bit of the chatter. However, the noise is basically what keeps me from giving this restaurant 4 stars. We will return.

I went here with some friends for brunch. The food was quite good but the coffee needs work (it was cold!). If they had decent coffee, would have given five stars.

My family and I really enjoy Satellite. It is a great neighborhood restaurant that provides good food. The service can sometimes be slow, and the menu is smaller than most, but overall we can always count on Satellite to be good!

Living in Circle C, Satellite is our neighborhood bistro. The menu changes often, and it's been great each time. Chef does good work, so if you are adventuresome, this is a good place to try something new. I have yet to be disappointed. Salads tend to be heavily dressed--ask for yours on the side.

WE have been going to the Satellite since it opened, and are never disappointed. We have our favorites on their menu - the tuna appetizer and orchid chicken the real favorites - but often order the special of the day, always interesting and delicious. Weekend brunch also is delicious. Good wine list. We also take out-of-town guests and family for a taste of down-home Austin good food.

We had a nice breakfast. Very good breakfast menu, very good food with large portions. The service was a bit slow. Prices moderate.

I bought a groupon to check out Satellite Bistro and just happened to come for the first time on their 15th anniversary celebration. Matt L. was our waiter. It was around 7:30 PM Saturday 10/25 so I called ahead to get the Slaughter cross street and found they took reservations on a Saturday night (yay!) so we didn't have to wait 20 minutes for a table when we arrived. Sat on the patio which was very nice this time of year in Austin. Most sat inside because of the live entertainment. More on that later. Because of their anniversary, Satellite Bistro had a special prix fix menu option I ordered from. My husband ordered off the regular menu. I had the greek halloumi saganaki appetizer, black & blue lamp pops and pumpkin cheese cake for dessert. Though price for one was $36 their was plenty for us to share. My husband had the french pork chops and a dinner salad. Matt L. recommended a bottle of Graffigna Calenario Malbec reserve 2012 with our meal. Menu also includes wine pairing recommendations. Nice! About the meal: The saganaki was flamed kissed (yes lit at table like Bananas Foster) tomato relish with a delicious cheese (sorry can't remember the kind but it was awesome!) and hot pita. My entree (called black & blue because lamb chops are seared and rarer in the middle) was served with herb goat cheese potato puree, baby arugula, glazed brussels sprouts (incredible sprouts, must have if available), and pomegranate demi-gastrique. My husband had a house salad with champagne vinaigrette dressing (delicious; next time we will take some dressing home!). His French pork chops with roasted garlic whipped potatoes and seasonal vegies w/ red wine demi-glace were incredible. Thankfully, Manny loves me enough to share bites of his delicious choices too. The Malbec was a wonderful pairing. Manny prefers pinot noir but this was a smooth, not too strong Malbec. For dessert we had a pumpkin cheese cake with frangelino whipped crème fraical. Service was excellent and the food/plate presentations are like much higher end restaurants (think Eddie V's or Green Pastures) without the $$$ price tag. After dinner, we went inside where cabaret/lounge/jazz entertainer Jolie Goodnight performed. Loved Jolie and her trumpet, bass, pianist ensemble in the lounge/bar. Also Enjoyed music while watching LSU beat Ole Miss in the last moments at the bar right next to our high top table. BTW live music is often at Satellite Bistro and think Jolie may be playing there again NYE. Will see. But for now, Satellite Bistro will be my new favorite upscale, close to home, dinner and music choice. Our tab with tip after groupon was about a$100 and have spent $200+ for much less at Eddie V's, Green Pastures or Steiner Ranch Steak House and didn't get live music with it. Can't recommend this place enough!

It's hard to return to a favorite restaurant years later, and find out it's gone from amazing to just ok. We had dinner for 3, and maybe it was the greasy food that when we popped open our take out containers that sprayed on our clothes (one shirt had to be replaced) or maybe it was just the "OK" food. The food wasn't overly flavorful, it wasn't bad, from the stacked enchiladas to the carrot cake. It was fine.

Me and my husband really enjoyed our dinner at this restaurant. I had the pork chops which were cooked to perfection... my hubby had the shrimp and scallop risotto which was very delicious...we're both cautious about what we eat and certainly love good food...also, our waitress Racheal was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave good recommendations. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Prices are reasonable for quality food...
Popular watering hole
There is nothing outstanding about this place, but it is very popular--many "regulars" in the bar area. The atmosphere reminds you of the TV series "Cheers." The bar is a large "U" shape and there are many tables for drinking groups. There is food service in the bar area, and also in a separate section. There is an enclosed area outside with fabric walls and heaters. The street noise can be loud. We had a small group meeting there and were pleased with the drinks and happy hour pricing. The food was decent, but not great. The fried calamari needs work--they need to make it crispy and serve it hotter. Service is excellent--very attentive and move with purpose. Parking is easy, but it can be crowded at the popular hours.
