This restaurant is a great, unique experience and a must for your visit to Hollywood Studios. Totally different vibe from other Disney restaurants. It is dark and cool. Almost a little too dark as it took my eyes a couple of minutes to adjust. :) The atmosphere was awesome. Convincingly set up like a 1950's drive in theatre at night. The large screen was playing trailers of 50s movies and vintage canteen commercials. We were shown to the front seat of our table/car right in front of the screen. The seat was a little tight, but it didn't bother me all that much. There were a couple of people sitting in the back seat of our table which was absolutely fine but if you have four people together to have a meal, then having the other two people behind you is not conducive to a group conversation. We had the all American burger and fries with a chocolate milkshake. The shake was excellent, and the burger was very juicy. We were going to have dessert, but the burger and fries were way too filling, and we were stuffed. Our waiter was Dustin and he was cheerful, friendly and quite funny. No complaints about the service. At the end of the meal, the bill was brought to you as a "Parking Violation" and you need to pay the "fine". All and all an experience I would recommend

This is the best themed restaurant I’ve been to in Orlando. You feel like you’re in a drive in theater it’s as simple as that. You sit in a car facing a big screen and the lights are really dimmed so it always feels like night time. We had a great server who understood when we said we weren’t too hungry so wanted to share something. She arranged to split one portion of the pasta into smaller plates for us which I was impressed with. The only negative you might find about this is you sit in rows of two in a car with 3 rows so you’re quite close to other people you don’t know.

Off to the side before you hit Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios sits Sci-Fi Drive In. A restaurant complete with cars and giant movie screen to make you feel like you are back in the 50’s at a drive in theater. They play cheesy monster movies, don’t worry nothing scary, as well infomercials for made up products you would expect from that time period. The BBQ Burger topped with an onion ring a fried banana pepper was pretty good and the Oven-Roasted Turkey sandwich with its cilantro avocado aioli was a nice choice after a long day the park. Kid friendly kids menu $$- $$$

This restaurant was one of the most recommended, but I confess that I expected more. The place is actually really cool, but the food is ok.

What a fun and unique experience! We made a last-minute reservation at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater to escape the Florida heat, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The air conditioning was a much-needed relief, and the atmosphere was amazing—you actually eat inside a vintage car while watching an entertaining reel of old sci-fi movie clips and retro drive-in commercials. It really felt like stepping back in time! The food was delicious—we both ordered hamburgers with onion rings, and everything was cooked perfectly. We left absolutely stuffed! It was a great value for the quality and portion sizes. The Cast Members were fantastic and added to the fun with their energy and theming. We’d definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a memorable meal at Hollywood Studios!

Fun, fun place to go but the food is HORRIBLE. We have been here many times over the years and this was the worst experience ever. You can not beat the fun atmosphere - truly a unique dining experience. But the food was just horrible. They did away with their sweet pot fries which is a shame. We all ordered burgers and my and my daughter's were so salty that we could not eat even 1/4 of them. The waitress never came back and when she finally did, my husband was done eating....I told her about how salty they were. It honestly was like someone had shaken salt on them and the shaker broke and all the salt came out. She had the manager come over and I told him. He offered more food but we declined as we were on a time schedule (as you are at the park) and he comped us the two burgers which was great because they were $25 each. That in itself it so incredibly steep. I can not eat fried foods any longer and asked for the steamed carrots as my side. I got about 8 carrots that had been partially steamed but still in between cooked and raw - and they had nothing on them, just very dry carrots. That with my burger should not have cost $25. So expensive, just not worth it. As we were leaving I heard another table remark to each other how salty their food was. I don't think it was just us. Should you go - maybe once because it's just fun. But don't come back - it's just not worth it. There are better grab and go places in the park for less money.

Arrived to a wait of over half hour after booking 60 days prior Booked here for the experience for my nephew but we were seated in a table rather than the forward facing car so felt like most other restaurants. Could not watch TV as sideways view. Daughter wanted the kids meal as was not hungry but as she was a teen was not allowed even though we were getting 4 adult meals to. She asked for the chicken wings starter as a main but this was a very small portion even as a starter. I ordered chicken pasta my fault as it had lemon sauce which I don’t like and strange vegetables / it’s very dark hard to see menus. Service wasn’t the best. No refills on drinks so not sure if they were extra? Wouldn’t return here.

We eat here every time we visit Orlando. I love the atmosphere in this restaurant with the classic sci fi clips and the cute cars that you dine in. I'm not the biggest lover of burgers but the ones you get here are definitely up there with the best burgers that I've ever had! We also find the staff to be super attentive and helpful and the experience never feels rushed even though it's always a busy restaurant. Its a unique dining experience that I absolutely love and we will continue to visit each time we take a trip to Orlando.

You don’t have to be over 50 to appreciate this retro time-warp back to 1965. Picture yourself sitting in a drive-in theater at night in your parent’s big old car. On screen are old Tom and Jerry cartoons and cringey black-and-white b-movie sci-fi snippets. While the food here is standard pub grub to be expected, we have found these menu items (and in particular their MILKSHAKES) to be consistently very good. It’s dark, quiet and well air-conditioned. Everything about this place evokes good memories of one’s childhood and it is also fun to just get up and walk around to use the restroom. Walking around, you actually feel as is you are really at an old drive-in. Disney should be commended for constructing this unique experience.

We booked the Fantasmic package. We ordered our food and I had pasta. It was awful and practically inedible. It was so salty it really was awful. Before we finished the mains the waiter was trying to take our plates and I had to tell him we weren't finished. Then before we were finished we had the dessert menu. We had only just started the dessert and he brought the bill. We had already pre paid on the dining plan so the bill is for the tip. He would only give us our tickets for the light show once we left a tip. This is completely unacceptable. I love the recommended tip of between 18-22%. They must be absolutely joking. A tip of around 40-50 dollars for clearing a couple of plates and bringing 1 round of drinks. I refuse to be held to ransome and gave a very small tip. Awful food, money grabbing service.

Cool concept. Felt a bit tight at times though. I enjoyed by burger. Wife did not. Kids enjoyed theirs. Portions were good and price was average for the theme park I guess. Was a good experience but not sure I'd rush back

The Sci Fi Diner fare was delicious and the waitstaff personable and attentive. It was a fun take on outdoor drive-ins with walls and ceiling lit up like the night sky. Comfortably seated in adorable 1950s coups, we dove into our pan seared salmon pasta and feature film burger with gusto. The portions ample leaving little room for desert. The disappointing element was the movie reel. It was a compilation of old black and white Sci Fi clips sprinkled with a few cartoon shorts. There were no plot elements or character development. It was mindless video clips of poorly made movies 🎥 that should be either used for film study if what not to do or simply left in the past. It was visual noise that confirmed why television and movie viewers have opted for pay-per-view media to avoid brain numbing commercials.

Novel setting! Service and the burger very very good. Large movie screen playing movie clips and ads. Seating was reasonably good with ample room. Downside is the portable drive-in speakers. These sit right beside you car style table. They are so loud and can't be turned down. Forget conversing with your party or hearing your wait staff. This was the downer on the experience. Would return if they lower the sound!

Concept is great, manager needs to go. We planned an epic family trip to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary with their grandkids, it is the last family trip as my mother is not well. We saved for 2 years, planned for a year - including researching the restaurants we wanted to enjoy, and booked all our meals 60 days in advance. On the day we visited Holywood Studios, my parents were waiting in advance of our reservation while my sister, her boys and I took our paid ride on Rise if the Resistance - we were supposed to be on and off with a good 30 mins to spare. The ride broke down, and we were stuck on it. I was texting my father to let him know what was going on. The restaurant host said he couldn't sit us until we were all there, fair enough, but that he could most likely hold our spot. However, when we finally joined my parents, 20mins late, the nice young man at the door called his manager over who basically informed us we were out of luck. Apparently, the place is much too popular for guests who can't be on time (never mind the Disney ride for which we paid $20 pp broke down). She said they would seat a walk-in in our place and by the way, they would charge us the no-show fee for 6 ppl. When we tried to explain our circumstances, we were met repeatedly with "I am so sorry, there is nothing I can do". Really????? How magical! What a horrible experience, it ruined our day. This Manager actually appeared pleased with her power to teach us a lesson for being late. After I had a tearful meltdown (I am not proud but was beyond tired, frustrated, and upset with our treatment), we were told they would wave the no-show fee "this time only" and if we wanted to wait over an hour and not sure how much over, they could maybe get us a non-car booth table (park was only opened for another hour btw). Yeah right! Every other disney cast member we encountered during our week was amazing, but please, avoid the wicked witch who Manages the sci-fi dinner (Manager on Duty the evening of Aug 25, 2023).

Ordered the burger well done, received a raw patty on a bun. Couldn’t even eat the fries as they were cold. I’ve never received such terrible food and horrible service. Do NOT take your family to this restaurant, especially your children!

They now what you to use your phone to access the menu via an app. They will still give you a menu. The lighting is poor so you may struggle to view the menu and actually eat. If you ask for a burger, they ask how you like it. The service was quick but the prices as with all restaurants on Disney property, gone up through the roof.

This place is a concept but not an experience. Cold, dark and quiet environment. Yeah, there is a screen playing clips from old movies that you can barely hear but nobody under 30 cares about these. The B-movie roll is on a loop so you start the same thing over again after about 30 minutes. Which is just lazy from an experience point of view. You can’t put together a 2 hour video to keep the guests engaged? Or turn the sound up in your own car? We were on the Disney Resort meal plan. You do not get your paid value here. Tastes like reheated salted foods and mediocre attempts at trying to define retro while also providing a sense of variety. My (10 year old) son wanted to leave right away when we were seated. You have strangers sitting in the car on your back and can barely read the menu. Lucky for us the staff was very nice and charming. We left most our food on the plate and enjoyed the desserts before leaving as the 3rd round of same video started. Ugh. Also. I don’t have photos. It was too dark and didn’t want a flash going off to make this an even worse experience for others.

We had so much fun dining here. Caleb was our waiter and he was awesome. The good, service and menu were great! The prices were on par. The grilled chicken salad was amazing!

We were offered a table at the back of the restaurant due to mobility issues for 1 person so were not sitting in the cars but this did not change the experience. The staff could not have been more attentive. Good fun atmosphere with the big screen showing clips from old sci-fi B movies. Terrible puns and jokes on the menu naming and good traditional food. Be sure to book when visiting Disney Studios

The atmosphere is unique for sure, but you're watching basically nothing on the big screen. It's also kind of weird to eat in the dark, no clue what my food looked like. It's also weird when we go as a family of 3 and 2 people sit in the "front seat" but one in the back by themselves. No better seating options, really? The food was super average - high calories, low quality. If you're going there for a milkshake or sundae we can't relate so not everyone will share my opinion I'm sure.

restaurant is cute menu is small not mich for non meat eaters need a grilled chicken sandwich our waiter was not very good

Sci Fi is a uniquely themed experience with good, dependable food. The burgers and fries were excellent. I got a salad too and it was very good too. Sitting in a car at a drive-in with Sci Fi movie clips is fun and different. Definately recommend when in Disney.

We always make time to visit this place on our disney holidays. Its got ncredible atmosphere with a big cinema screen showing some classic films. Just ignore the dodgy Special effects haha. Food was Superb bar the bacon on my burger which was rock solid. It is also a bit dark to fit the theme but not too bad. Overall, another great meal.

I'd been trying to book this place on past Disney trips and could never get a good reservation time. Finally we did. First, the negative: Reservations were backed up, so our 6:05pm reservation ended up being 7pm. The reason: "people just aren't leaving" said one of the hosts. So I guess because some parties decided to hang out after they were done eating, it backed everyone up. Not great, but what can you do? The staff did their best to keep us informed, try to give us options, and I can't blame them at all. -A place like this is right up my alley. I loved the dim "Dashboard" lighting at your table so you have to pull out your phone and use its light to read the menu (I thought that was cool). -The sci-fi movies on the screen are trailers of old, cheesy and very unintentionally funny movies. I enjoyed that a lot. I honestly wish we could've actually watched one of the movies, but then I guess people might stay too long...hmmmm. -The food was fine. I had a great hamburger cooked the way I wanted it. That's unusual because typically they're required to serve burgers well done for safety reasons. I asked for medium, and they brought it out medium. Perfect. We all had shakes which were great and my wife got the hot fudge Sundae. You come to a place like this for the experience, and it was a fun experience on our Disney adventure. *One negative note, when we sat down it looked like the knives at our table hadn't been washed very well. They replaced them quickly and all the other silverware looked fine. Since you're sitting in a very dark room, you may want to check out the silverware.

My husband and I ordered a chocolate milkshake ( it tasted like a Mc Donald’s shake(Sci-Fi Smoked Wings Smoked Chicken Wings tossed in a Porter Barbecue Sauce with a House-made Pineapple and Poppy Seed Coleslaw $15.00 ) the chicken wings had to much BBQ sauce on them and there were only 4 wings and gross slaw , the bbq burger was ok nothing to say wow about. I was disappointed because to whole concept of the restaurant is really cool the staff was ok they seemed nice 👍

Booked a table at Sci Fi Dine in, the experience is good and it is nice to do something different, although you are supposed to sit in a car, our car was actually 2 tables, so we didn't get the same experience as others which was a little disappointing. It is quite dark in there but this adds to the experience. The food was nice and the milkshake was delicious. We had no problems with the service.

Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at Sci-Fi. We enjoyed the smokey BBQ wings and classic burgers and fries. The burger was fine but could have been a little better. We tried the chocolate milkshake and it was delicious. Our server was really wonderful and we loved the atmosphere of the old cars and the twinkly stars, old sci-fi film clips etc. However, I will say if you come with young children, some of the clips they show aren't appropriate so be prepared.

Our experience for this restaurant was definitely not met with the friendly WDW experience. When we first arrived to check in, the host was very unwelcoming and awkward. He didnt seem to enjoy his job and half lead us to our waitress. That was a part start to our reservation. But our waitress was actually super nice and friendly and helpful. That made the experience much better. We made the reservation for the fantasmic show, but unfortunately it was not included for some reason, but luckily the waitress was able to scrap together two tickets for us. The food was average at best. nothing too crazy or worthy for much praise. The ambiance was great and we got to sit in a car and the old cartoons were fun to watch.

Great food at amusement park prices!! We enjoyed watching all the clips and the Tom&Jerry cartoon as we ate our lunch. Brought back childhood memories seeing clips that we grew up on!!

A truly disappointing experience. Staff at the entrance were incredibly rude and unpleasant. Far from what is expected at Disney. Food was disgusting and the service from the waitress wasn’t great either. The set up of the restaurant is cool but does not make up for everything else being so poor! Would not recommend and would not return. Could have had a better, cheaper meal in many other places!

So this restaurant was recommended as a must do for our family vacation to Disney. When we first arrived we thought it was adorable, great atmosphere, cute idea. But the cuteness quickly changed. It is so damn dark that you can’t see anything. Seriously we had no idea what we were eating. You sit with your backs to the rest of your family/party which is super awkward and then they put strangers in the same car with you when there are plenty of open cars around you. Great maybe for couples but not for a family. My husband was so miserable from this lunch, it basically ruined the day. The food was decent but overpriced. The experience just left such a bad taste that we all walked out and said we regretted it tremendously. Then all of us had upset stomachs afterwards. When you can’t see your food, I guess it’s impossible to tell what you’re actually consuming.

This dining experience at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is much more about the experience than the food. If you’re looking to get a good burger and shake then you’ll be better off heading to your local diner. But if you’re looking for that and more, of cinema previews from the 50s, don’t miss this! There’s a reason it’s impossible to get reservations since the parking is always full!

I had to laugh at our dinner here because it was so quiet; families seemed to be escaping the heat with children mollified by the big screen. Our server was kind enough to help me out with a food request and was so sweet about it. The meal was great and experience fun over all!

Overall service was bad, staff had no intentions to make the experience enjoyable. Food was below par/poor and overly salted, to the point could only have a few bites and waste the rest. Would not recommend coming here, also would add that not enough lighting, so no way to see whats on your plate

Our family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited Disney World for two weeks holiday in October. We ate here one lunchtime and it was superb. The place was quiet as diners watched the short programmes whilst having their meal. It was bliss! A bit of peace and as our own kids sat up front in the car for their delicious burgers and milkshakes. Service was good but just a shame there were no hot dogs on the menu as well as burgers. Enjoy!

This was a truly awful experience. Booked as part of a Fantasmic dining package. As a concept it’s a good idea but the food and service is dreadful. We even got the check before dessert. I had a burger and ate only half. It was I think poorly cooked although the outside look ok. A couple of hours later i began to feel really sick. Missed Fantasmic and spent the next two days throwing up and diarrhoea, felt ill for over a week and missed a pre-paid trip to Kennedy Space Centre. Not what I’d expected from a $25k Disney vacation. I have complained to the hotel who told me not their problem and to report it to the venue. I had an email from the venue and explained the situation and not heard anything since. Apparently it’s been reported to the on-duty chef. I’ve not asked for anything other than an assurance that somebody is in future going to do their job and ensure food being served is fit for human consumption. Not had that assurance or even an acknowledgment or apology. We won’t be going again and you may wish to give it a miss also. There has been a lot written about Disney customer service being poor since Covid and this evidences that.

We eat here when we go for the atmosphere, we know going into it the food will be about what you'll geat at any restaurant. that being said we had a good server and service I would go back and would recommend it for atmosphere alone.

Walked in midafternoon and waited 15 minutes to be seated (even though no one was waiting, and the restaurant was less than half full). Was seated at a high-top table right next to the server's entrance because no cars were available. Again, the restaurant was half full. Just ordered drinks, nachos and chicken wings. The service was slow and when the food arrived, they forgot the wings. Waited awhile for this to be corrected. What I can't understand is why the service was so slow when there numerous members of the Waite standing behind the hostess desk and around the inside doing absolutely nothing, when many tables were waiting to be cleaned. Perhaps it was a training day for hew hires. Don't buy into the hype, not worth it.

This is my favorite place to grab lunch at while at Hollywood Studios. We made a 1:10 lunch reservation and were seated right on time. You sit in old cars so if you're a small party strangers will likely be in the car also, but this didn't bother us. My husband had the Drive In BBQ Burger w/ Onion Rings & I had the chicken salad sandwich, which was all white meat chicken breast and very tasty. The best part was the oreo milkshake, tasted like a wendys frosty. A must stop if your at Hollywood Studios

If you are looking for fine dining, this isn't it. However, if you are looking for lunch in a cool place, this is it. It's fun to sit in the cars and eat while watching campy 50's clips. Usual fare of burgers and such. My daughter didn't really care for much on the menu, but I asked if they could do an adult version on the chicken finger kids meal and they said of course. I found out that most restaurant in Disney will agree to this. Fun place to have lunch and cool down.

To begin , we've been to this restaurant many times over the years and have enjoyed it. The food is pretty good. My kids get a kick out of the movie theater atmosphere .This time unfortunately was ruined unnecessarily . A few minutes after we were seated , the waitress brought another couple to our car to sit directly behind us in the same car. We were never informed this would happen. Were never given a choice. The strangers who were forced upon us seemed nice. But both people had nasty chunky cough. And it was very uncomfortable with them sitting 3 inches away from the back of my head. That's my one big complaint. To note there were plenty of open empty cars. After lunch I went and voiced my complaint. I hope Disney makes putting a " Hitchhiking stranger" with families a last resort!!

We had a dinner in here as part of our fantasia meal deal, but is wasn’t worth the price you better of get to the fantasia show early and getting a good seat them gab a snack dinner at the top of the stairs. The Food was not great very dark I know it’s meant to be theatre but the light in the car was very dull.

The fries were also great. Honestly probably the best disney restaurant experience and food wise. I even got them to throw some onion rings on my burger and the server was great.

It was a fun dining experience. It felt kind of cozy in the back seat of the car with my hubby. The tables were dimly lit. Just enough so that you can somewhat see the food in front of you. Not great for taking pictures. I had to lighten them up a little, but you can kind of see how it all works. We decided to split an appetizer of onion rings. It was a great choice. It comes with 2 dipping sauces (ranch dressing was one of them). There were cartoons on the movie screen during this time. Our burger arrived just before the B-movie trailers of "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman" and "The Amazing Colossal Man." I hadn't seen these movies since I was a kid watching Creature Feature Double Feature. It brought back fun memories. We didn't realize that the burgers already come with fries. It's on the menu, but we just didn't see it. The burger was cooked exactly the way we wanted it. Thankfully we split the burger because it would have been too much for me. It was actually pretty good. It was the Feature Burger of the day. This one was a cross between a Reuben Sandwich and a burger (without the kraut). It was tasty. The fries were just fries. Nothing remarkable. The service was great. He brought out 2 plates automatically so that we could split our burger & fries. Our order arrived rather quickly. It was an enjoyable lunch experience at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park. It's a one-time experience for us. We want to try other lunch options (like the ABC Commissary) whenever we return to the park. It's great to have unique dining options like this.

This is our second time visiting the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. Last time it was great, this time not so much. I ordered the same thing as last time and talked two of my party into ordering the pasta dish. Somehow it was watery and dry all at the same time. The spinach must have been frozen instead of fresh and not drained well as the pasta had super wet spots in it that were not pesto sauce as I hardly tasted any pesto at all, and the chicken was super dry and hard. The other two in our party said their burgers were ok but not worth $25 each. Kind of a pricey deal for $246.22 for three out of the five of us getting a yucky meal, this included our annual pass discount and tip. The three of us who didn't eat much of our dinner ended up eating burgers at the Backlot Express so tack on another $40. Still a cool concept for first time diners to try.

During our trip to Disney in May my girlfriend and I booked a meal at the Sci-Fi Diner and were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. The milkshake I had was lovely, the burgers were delicious and the whole theming and atmosphere was superb. The staff at the Sci-Fi diner were both polite and friendly and the service fast ending in an overall great meal and experience. I would honestly say this was far far better than the 3 course meal we had at Space220, so if you want to save money and have a great/better meal book the Sci-Fi diner instead.

The food was very good . The service was also good . We sat at a small table and had a full view of the whole restaurant. I had a salad.

Enjoyed the whole 50's experience. The burgers were large and tasty. The onion rings were great. Servers were nice and fast.

We were looking for a place to sit down and eat (and have Air conditioning) and had no idea what this restaurant was all about. There was a 20 min wait and thought that wasn’t bad. When we got in we were really surprised that it actually looked like a drive in movie with classic cars you can sit in and eat (table and all) . They played old time 50’s shows in the dark like in a drive in movie theater. Food was very good we all had different types of burgers and were very happy with our choices. Great for families and an unique experience.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and it did not disappoint! I got the Impossible burger with fries and both were delicious. They also offered non dairy versions of all their milkshakes, which I loved. Because I don’t eat dairy I usually don’t get to enjoy things like that, so getting to have a milkshake and fries with my friend in this 50s themed drive in diner just completed the experience. Our server was Barlos who was amazing! So kind, funny, and just great service overall. Food also came very quickly. Thank you Barlos, and everyone else at Sci Fi Dine In Theatre!

I went with my daughter to this restaurant on August 4, 2025. We were super excited and eager to try it in person, because we had already fallen in love with the photos. When we got there, we realized the tables are very small, and you eat very close to the people in front of you. If the person in front of you is a woman with long hair, it's practically impossible not to eat and get her hair dirty. But those are just details... The worst part was the service. They gave us a dirty cup. And I spent 22 minutes asking everyone to change it. Our server simply disappeared! So I spoke to someone who looked like a manager, and she simply didn't know what to do. It seemed like she'd never studied in her life. My daughter ordered a milkshake, and it was so bad she couldn't drink it. I ordered a traditional sandwich to be on the safe side. I've never seen a worse sandwich in my entire life. It had no seasoning, and the bread was very stale. It arrived disassembled. When we tried to eat it, it spilled all over the table... WHAT A DISGUSTING RESTAURANT! AND THEY STILL CHARGED $63! WHY DO THEY DO SUCH A DISGRACE TO CUSTOMERS? WHY DO THEY SELL SUCH CRAP? The restaurant ruined our entire Disney experience. Absolutely all of it. We were left hungry because we didn't eat everything, and we were also worried that eating at another restaurant would be the same. In other words, the restaurant not only ruined our experience, but also made us think that all the other Disney restaurants were just as horrible. This is definitely not a restaurant, but a disgrace that ruined our entire trip.

I ignored the reviews, please don’t do the same. We waited about 15-20 minutes to be seated. At our “car”, the book with the previous receipt was still at the table, sign of what was to come. We waited 20-30 minutes for our waiter to show up & get our drink order. We were actually about to leave. But we went ahead and ordered everything. Another long wait. When he brought our food, my husband asked for the bill now because we didn’t want to have to wait for another 30min to get it. Our food was not great. My husband’s burger did not come out the way he ordered, he pulled and scraped off what he asked not to be there & ate it. I wasn’t hungry so I ordered the sorbet with fruit, thinking it was a safe order, nope. My sorbet had large chunks of dew melon, cantaloupe, grapes with the stems still on them under the sorbet. After having to spit out grapes, it’s dark & hard to see, I just scooped all fruit out. The bathrooms were gross, dirty, & the men’s had a boy’s poo undies on the ground. Seriously, eat somewhere else.

Stopped here for lunch. A very cool restaurant. The interior is set up like a drive in theater. Booths that look like old cars and tables in the back. They would have gotten a 5 star review except for their seating policy. Reservations are recommended. We walked up and were told that we would be sat at a table not a car. When we went in, there were plenty of cars available. We finished our meal and left and there were still plenty of empty booths. The food was good. Our server, Shelli, did a great job.

Went here with my fiancé and we were blown away by the atmosphere. Just loved being able to eat lunch here. Was mesmerized by the screen and loved the fact that we were eating in a car. The food was nothing special or unique, pretty much gastro pub food, but no complaints on our end, our meal was very well done and we really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend checking this place out! Kids will love it too.

I’m giving two stars because the restaurant looks amazing and the cinema is fun. The food was also “ok”. Not good, not bad, and the server was clearly trying. We were seated quickly and placed our order. The drinks took so long that we were starting to think they’d forgotten, and when they did arrive two were missing. When the meal came the children’s meal looked good but my daughter informed me it didn’t taste good. My meal had the wrong side (onion rings instead of fries.) it took a while to flag down the server and he eventually brought my fries which were the best part of the meal. My husband’s meal was correct. We decided to order deserts and coffee. Ice cream had obviously been hanging around a while. The whipped cream had turned to lumpy mush and the ice cream was very melty. My husband’s coffee was missing the creamer he ordered. Again, it took a long time to get it fixed. The worse part was that the tables are very close to the seats and there must have been a sharp edge on mine as it ripped my brand new top! They did give me a voucher to buy a new one after making me wait some considerable time, and while the staff were very apologetic the manager looked at me as if I was dirt and made me very uncomfortable. All in all this was the worse dining experience we have ever had at Disney. Service was slow, orders were repeatedly wrong, food was uninspiring, and management was unpleasant. On the plus side the environment is fun, our server was pleasant despite the multiple errors, and the staff at front of house are lovely.

Excellent themed restaurant movie park! You eat in a small car watching a black and white movie. Good food but not great food. Our burger was excellent! Awarded the package to get better seats in the Fantasmic show. Returns to about $100 Canadian (we are very losing vs USD) . This includes the main meal, a drink and dessert + a section reserved for the show later in the stands. You don’t have to arrive too early to get good seats. I highly recommend if you are looking for an unusual restaurant. Excellent fast service!

Beautiful place Incredible experience There are few food options, but what is available is excellent and very well prepared, as well as excellent service. Important to make a reservation

We decided this would be the last time we ate here. While the atmosphere is fun, we always wait at least 30 minutes after our reservation. And the servers are usually friendly but the front of the house staff need to be given a lesson on giving a smile or two.

This clever concept appealed to us all. We were seated, but someone needed the facilities, and therefore, we couldn't get our drinks order til they returned, which is a deeply annoying trend. Regardless- This was another exorbitant price tag experience, as it was rolled up in an Illuminations package. Not worth it. The milkshake was nice, the fries were ok, the cheeseburger was REALLY good - albeit, it fell apart as I tried to eat it. No matter, that's what silverware is for. Our server / service was okay, but unremarkable. But to sit in a darker, cooler space than most places afford you, was a treat. While I would eat here again, I wouldn't embrace it as part of the illuminations package at over $500 for the experience.

My kids enjoyed the atmosphere and sitting in a car. The food was just okay. The vegan spinach artichoke dip was bad, and I often eat vegan foods. Service was good, overall we enjoyed our visit.

Had a great dining experience here - we booked a package deal which entitled us to lunch and priority seating for the Fantasmic! show. You are shown to your table which is in a room set-up to mimic an old school drive-in cinema. The lighting is very low so it makes you feel like it's night time. There is a big screen in-front of you showing various short films. Each table/car has three rows - we were seated on the second row and therefore had people in-front and behind us that were not part of our party. This was fine for us, but it's worth being aware of if you'd prefer to sit away from others. The food was very good and portion sizes were reasonable. Would recommend this for anyone looking to eat somewhere different.

Just ok. Food is enough but taste wise ok. Cool sitting on the car and quiet for the venue. If it’s the set you are interested in then go ahead but if it’s food then avoid. Go somewhere else. Movies are very old and black and white.

Sorry to say but the decor is as tired as the movies. We were 28 minutes late being seated and were given no apology. Our server paid more attention to the younger members of our vehicle. Every place we ate asked about allergies not this one she wasn't bothered. We both had the chicken with fries but Disney now has a thing about using steak chips and they were hard and cold. I would advise avoiding this at all costs.

First visit. Got in in 6-10 minutes with walk up, sitting at picnic table in back. Love inside. Very kitchy. Just like outdoor drive in. round Picnic tables along back wall. i loved this though bc could see whole theater without people i didn’t know sitting right behind me or in front. cars hold 2 people each seat. some held more. i asked for a chair with crack to it instead of the picnic type already around table, no back. food ok. menu typical: burger. pasta. chicken. fries. shakes. alcohol beverages too. service was good. place was quiet, which i loved, i’m assuming bc eating and watching movie clips. the movies are very bad (but modern for their 50s time) black n white sci-fi. ** my suggestion is please play a whole movie. or a cartoon. the clips were not entertaining at all. very hodge podge and eating whilst watching at least a whole episode of something would be better. ** kids prob like at first but then would be bored. it’s darkened in room. neat concept but bucket listed and no need to return.i had chicken salad sandwich: not quite what I expected but tasted OK. Chicken is very chunky and it could’ve used a little more seasoning. Came with a side of fries and it was on a croissant roll. The cost of a total came to $18 thereabouts. They do accept annual pass discounts.

I made a reservation 60 days in advance for that restaurant. When we got there, we got a regular table in between the front and the back of a car (as you can see on the Tripadvisor picture). That's not what we made a reservation for. We wanted a "car" with three rows. We asked to get a "car" and the staff said that all the other tables were taken. Obviously, the other tables were not all full. We could easily see that many "cars" were still free. The staff offered to cancel our reservation for free. We went elsewhere to eat. Very disappointed. My mother who's traveling with us asked if there was bribery. Did some clients come earlier in the day to bribe the staff to make sure that they would get that special table. I just can't believe that it's the case. I'm not saying that this happened, but if I was manager of the place, I'd check for that. Are you telling me that I'm going to pay US$30 for a f...ing burger? If so, I want the full experience and not just some regular table. If we wanted to watch the movie on a regular table, we would have had to keep the head turned the whole time. What's the point? The manager there just didn't seem to care at all. Obviously, it's easy to say: "We're so sorry! You just have to go elsewhere." We planned our day with the idea that we were going to eat there and that the experience was going to be a treat for the kids. I have to say that it was magical! It made our expectations disappear and a big disappointment appear all at once. Honestly, it's as if the staff was just saying: "I'm so sorry, but I don't give a sh..." We had a great time in every Disney's restaurant, but that one. There should be a way to know in advance that we might not get the table we made a reservation for. If we had the chance to get this information in advance, we wouldn't have lost all that time getting there, waiting for dinner time and so on. Also, you wouldn't have lost our business.

Had not been to this restaurant in 20 years and it was still fun and good food. It is so unique sitting in the cars with the B movie trailers playing on screen. I took my godson, and we ended going there twice he liked both the atmosphere and food so much first time. Will not leave it so long till my next visit.

Bad food, the biggest regret of my trip so far. We barely ate any of our food and the couple in front of us was also saying their food was bad. Very unfortunate since it’s not cheap at all.

Best food I've eaten in my entire trip. It is worth booking and get the entrance to the space reserved for Fantasmic. And every experience is very good!

This experience was really cool! Low-lit, silent, well-decorated environment with a movie screen! Very interesting to have lunch there. I highly recommend it, good prices considering it's inside Disney, although my daughter had a discount voucher that reduced the bill a lot! Varied and tasty menu. Very presentable dishes and very well made gourmet dessert; Courteous service! Just bring a shirt to protect you from the super cold air conditioning!

Overall was a good experience, had a booking for 17:20 and was called 20 minutes late, no wifi around the area so have to count on hearing them call you. Was served by Miles, who was great; friendly and attentive. Food was good (we had burgers). Bit rushed at the end but presumably down to the late tables. Novelty factor is always a plus!

Booked this restaurant way in advance as I knew it could get busy. Firstly the seats are very closed together so if you want space away from other people this may not be the place for you. We started with drinks which were ok… the coke was very watered down and the milkshake was frozen. we had onion rings to start with and they were good. The worst thing was that I asked for an American burger rare and when it came out it was so bad I had to send it back… the burger was freezing cold as if it had come out a fridge and also had the worst texture almost as if the burger had been dunked into water it was that bad. It also had a weird rubber texture and felt and tasted raw. (It also mushed into my hands when we touched it) - my partner also tried it and insisted to not eat it as it would make me ill. I complained to the server and he said “you ordered it rare” in which I tried to explain that the texture was the problem not how it was cooked so it felt like he was arguing with me and wouldn’t help. He did offer another burger but i declined as the taste & texture put me off.

Cool place to have a tasty dinner! Be sure to book reservations several months in advance. Kids, remember to ask politely for a "driver's license." =P

When at Disney, we usually eat quick service meals. We splurged for my birthday and ate at SciFi. Love the whole 50's theme drive in eating experience. When checking in they ask if this is a celebration and I added it was my birthday. Don't know what I was expecting but nothing happened. Why ask???? I love the food and atmosphere but was let down for some reason. Free ice cream or even a happy birthday from the waiter would have been nice I guess.

Unique environment, great atmosphere, great service and great food. The lighting inside the car could do with being a bit brighter and not a great deal of space on the ledge of the 'dash board' for plates etc but still had a great time

What a great. memorable time at the Sci-Fi, We have wanted to try this forever but reservations are hard to get and we finally scored! We had variety of food and from the burgers to the chicken salad it was all good. Neat atmosphere that you must try if you are at Disney Hollywood Studios. If you can't get in try ABC commisionary its good as well

The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater experience is certainly something to try! This was our first time visiting the restaurant but had read several reviews of a mixed opinion. I am aware that the bookings for this place can be hit and miss as sometimes it is easy to get a booking or a walk up, whereas other times it is fully booked within minutes. Luckily, we had few issues and managed to get an early lunch booking. The atmosphere is good and the design principle is exactly what you would expect. The only downside is that the seats are quite 'snug' and if more than a party of 2, the car seats do make it difficult to discuss menu options. There are different layout seating tables, but I think that you would need to ask for one as they were typically given to larger families. We picked burgers (as the menu isn't overly large) and all enjoyed them but the highlight has to be puddings and the milkshakes available! The latter were amazing and could do as a desert all by their own! I am not sure that we would go back again but certainly would recommend it to others!

Ask my wife what she’d rate this and it would definitely be a star lower (at least). Me personally, I liked the concept and execution of the restaurant a lot so I overlooked a few of the glaring issues. If you book, you’ll be seated in one of the many car styled booths in what is a mock up of a drive in theatre. Playing on the big screen are 50/60 year old black and white horror movies (no actual scary bits) which we really enjoyed watching. It’s all good fun so no one should be offended by anything. The food was not great to be fair. The chicken wings had some sort of hoisin sauce on them and I frankly found them inedible. The burgers were actually pretty decent, far better than any other Disney burger I had but the chips were dreadful. So overly salty we all just left them. Such an unnecessary way to prepare them. As for our waitress, we felt very let down. We could see/hear in the cars next to us other wait staff mucking about with the guests, playing a character that would’ve been set in the time of the old fashioned drive in theatre but unfortunately our waitress was pretty grumpy and aloof. No Disney magic coming from her unfortunately so we felt a little robbed. It’s a fun place but don’t expect good food.

We’ve eaten here before and it’s a fun concept. I really enjoyed being in the little cars and watching the old movie previews. The food was tasty, but not exceptional. The waiter was verging on rude and messed up the orders (my daughter is vegetarian and ordered pasta with no meat that came with chicken on it). He also was wick to say what we shouldn’t order which I felt wasn’t called for. I asked him to please take a picture of us and he said he didn’t have time but he’d be back. Didn’t happen.

Came here for dinner with the family mainly for the experience. The food is standard American fare (limited options). The theming is cool. Note it is very dark in there and it can be a little difficult to see what you're doing. If you are a family of 4, its a 2 and 2 configuration so you really will only speak to the person next to you. The table area inside the car is quite narrow too. One thing I noticed was how quiet it was in there despite being absolutely full. Whilst waiting for the table, one of the staff was playing movie quiz. It is a little awkward as nobody really seems all that keen to play.

WE ate at Sci-Fi Dine-in theater as part of the Fantasmic dinner package. The theater itself is fun, but feel like Disney needs to update the theme of this restaurant - maybe turn it into a "Cars" theme diner keeping the same fun cars that you dine in, just painted like the Cars from the movie? Some of the old Sci-Fi clips they showed on the screen were a little disturbing for my 4 yr. old grandson and even though we were only in the diner about an hour, we saw the same clips over and over. Our server was great - really friendly and helpful. My husband and I shared an order of onion rings for appetizer and they were just ok - tastse like maybe the oil needed to be changed in the fryer. We both ordered the hamburger and it was really good...and really big! I could only eat half - wish I could have taken the other half, but nowhere to store it? For dessert, we shared a hot fudge sundae and it was SOOO good! I was stuffed from what I had already eaten, but the sundae was so good, I wished I could have eaten more of it. Overall, we were really happy with our server and the quality of our food. The Fantasmic package was GREAT and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND it so you don't have to arrive so early for Fantasmic and have great seats right in the middle - so worth it! On a hot day, it is great to have a nice cool place to sit for dinner. Have a Magical Time!!

supper table service relatively reasonable for disney, the food is decent without more, typical American. Quiet and original atmosphere, I recommend with children for the decor. Milkshake to take absolutely.

We had a great server! She was very descriptive on menu specials and dinner package that we got. We asked several questions that she was more than willing to answer and make sure we all understood. Everyone loved their food. It was better than I remember from the last time. A few of us ordered the specials that she offered. Atmosphere is so fun! Unfortunately our group was too big to fit in an actual car, but we enjoyed it either way. We had 8 people at 1 table that was bookend by a car front and back. Food was an average wait time. We did the fantastic dinner package. Well worth not having to wait in a big line to get in and the reserved seating was a GREAT location.

We had a reservation for 7 people and they sat us in a car for 6. We were 2/2/3 with our backs to each other so we couldn't enjoy each others company. It was so dark as it is in most theaters you couldn't see the menu or what you were eating. You have to use your iphone light. WhenI did I saw how gross and dirty the silverware was. Ugh!! Hate to see what was under the table??? If your still planning to go I suggest you find out what kind of table/car you are going to get and checkout the menu. It's a burger joint with limited options. So many other better places at Hollywood Studios

This was our mistake for not paying attention. It shows dreadful old fashioned horror movies but for you kids it’s quite scary. Be cautious about going here with kids. Our daughter is and she was really uncomfortable. I’d recommend finding somewhere else to go as there are many great places to eat in Disney.

Hesitant to book reservation after reading reviews, but had been wanting to try this restaurant. I had a burger and onion rings—both were great. My wife had blue cheese wedge salad. She said hands down was the best wedge salad she has had. Our waitress (can’t remember name, she was from Georgia) was very friendly, kept water glasses full, and just did a great job overall. Very glad we went.

Booked as part of a Fantasmic package and ended up being one of our favourite meals during the trip. Never ever been to anything like it - the setting was brilliant - it really did give the feeling of being in a drive in movie. Server was fantastic and food was good. We had burgers which had a diner feel to them. Hard to book, so definitely see if you can do it as part of the package.

35 minutes from being seated to waiter taking our drinks order. Freezing cold inside, after being drenched in a rainstorm outside sitting in there was a shock to the system, food was mediocre at best! Avoid

We have been to this restaurant a few times and really like the creative atmosphere. In the past, the menu had more offerings but this visit, very limited options. Would you like a burger or a burger? No hot chicken sandwich on the menu but a chicken salad sandwich - so odd. Also, I don’t remember it being so dark before - you cannot see your meal. As I was taking a bite of my food in the dark, I realized that a person wouldn’t be able to see if their food was cooked properly or anything else. Please add some light to the restaurant. As well, we had a party of 3. The car seated 2, 2, and 2. So my husband and daughter were in the front, I was in the middle, and 2 other people (not in our party) were in the back! So weird-I could hear their whole conversation behind me as I ate alone in the dark. A sensory nightmare! The drive-in aspect is fun though.

Love burgers? Love 50s sci fi? This is your place. Both are in abundance. You won't like this if you have to share (you have to share a car, which is where you sit and eat). We both had the onion rings to start - crispy, light and not greasy at all. The horseradish aioli was really lovely. If Disney ever decide to sell this separately in bottles, you'll probably find me first in the queue to buy it. The burgers were lovely and it's nice that there were allergy friendly menus available as well. Not as cheap as a quick serve burger, but you get what you pay for, and this was well worth it.

Had a reservation for dinner with my daughter and a couple of her friends to celebrate 2 birthdays. We were 18 minutes late. All of Disney has 20 min grace time for all their reservations. When we approached the counter and gave our name, the first thing that came out from the cast member was: you are late and we gave away your table to the walk ins. Then she tried to page someone to see "if they will take a late party". No apology, no attempt to fit us in. When we tried to question the 20 min policy, we were told: it's holiday time and we only give you 15 min. Apparently this particular restaurant has their own policy and it is different from the rest of Disney World. To add to the insult, she walked away from us and was talking to the walk ins trying to accommodate THEIR party who didn't even have any reservations. But after reading comments on quality of food, I guess we lucked out.

Cute atmosphere, enjoyed the clips that were playing on the screen and the staff was nice but you are eating in the dark. Fast forward to the evening and my husband and I are extremely sick - this was the last thing we ate and since neither of us could see the burger. We are starting to think our burger was undercooked and aren’t feeling well from that. Save yourself from an evening of being on the toilet by just skipping this experience.

The food was really poor. Worst meal we had at WDW in 14 days. The burger I had was inedible and the fries were stale tasting. All 4 of my party left most of their meals as it was disgusting. We tried to salvage the dinner by ordering sundaes but even these missed the mark. This was the 1st time I have ever seen my kids not enjoy ice cream. If you want to sit in a car with strangers breathing on your neck and eat shoddy food then this is your place. Otherwise there are 100s of better options

We recently visited the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Hollywood Studios for a same-day reservation. As fans of both the food and unique atmosphere, we’ve always appreciated the excellent service and enjoyable experiences here. However, this visit took a surprising and disappointing turn. The Good: Our waiter accommodated my daughter’s vegetarian meal with no issues, and the overall service throughout most of the meal was good. The environment was, as always, charming and immersive. We had no complaints—until it came time to settle the bill. The Problem: When we received our $130+ tab, I mentioned that my wife and I are both DVC members and all of us Annual Passholders, expecting to apply the usual discount. The waiter requested proof of these memberships, which was no issue. However, he insisted on seeing a separate card or digital pass for at least two members of the party, despite the fact that I had multiple digital cards on my phone for my wife, daughter, and myself. He even saw me scrolling through the cards in my wallet app. This was the first time, since becoming Passholders in 2015 and DVC members in 2018, that such a request was made—especially when dining with a party of more than four people. When I expressed confusion and asked for clarification, the waiter’s attitude shifted from neutral to noticeably negative. Apparently, this was part of a rarely enforced policy. While it wasn’t an ideal situation, I requested to speak with a manager to better understand the policy. The Manager’s Response: Joe from Hatillo, Puerto Rico, arrived with an attitude that was unnecessarily confrontational. His approach was more reminiscent of a military drill sergeant than a professional manager in the hospitality industry. To make matters worse, his name tag was deliberately covered, and I only found out his name after repeatedly asking for it. When we inquired about where the policy could be found, Joe bluntly told us to "just pay the tab" and to take our concerns to Guest Relations. He repeatedly stated it was "not his job" to explain the policy. I rarely encounter such a lack of professionalism in Disney’s hospitality settings—it felt like dealing with an indifferent clerk at a cheap motel rather than the polished service Disney is known for. The Bigger Issue: This entire ordeal was over a $13 discount—an insignificant amount compared to what we spend annually on passes, DVC membership, hotels, and overall park expenses. Rather than prioritizing guest satisfaction, Joe seemed intent on enforcing a poorly communicated policy at the expense of our experience. What’s most frustrating is that we had a right to the discount since everyone at the table was either an Annual Passholder or a DVC member. The insistence on seeing additional proof at the last moment, coupled with the manager’s unprofessional demeanor, completely soured the rest of our day at the park. Final Thoughts: This experience was incredibly disappointing and uncharacteristic of Disney’s typical standards. Policies should be clearly communicated upfront and enforced consistently, not sprung on guests at the end of a meal. Furthermore, managers like Joe need serious training in empathy and professionalism to avoid unnecessary escalation and maintain the exceptional guest experience that Disney is known for. It’s frustrating to see a $13 discount become the catalyst for such a poor experience—one that could have been easily resolved with better communication and a more respectful approach from both the waiter and manager. For a brand as premium as Disney, this was a surprising and unfortunate lapse in service.

From start to finish the experience was shocking. We looked at reviews which are poor and thought we'd give it a try just to be proved completely wrong and the reviews are right. From entering we sat then got moved to another seat, the waiter dropped out sons milk, then most of his meal and continued to then give him the plate with hardly anything on. The rest of the food was no better l, chips that you would think had just had a full tub of salt put on them, burgers completely burned, onion rings far too overly fried and bottoms of the burgers and buns so soggy they clearly hadn't drained the salad. Would definitely not recommend this to anyone.

What an awesome experience. The food is okay but taking in the cool atmosphere is the best. The booth seats in the cars are tight

Don’t listen to anyone complaining about the atmosphere, food or prices! Just don’t. This place is awesome!!! 5-stars. The food is great and kid friendly. The atmosphere is fun. The staff is so friendly. It’s Disney, so expect to pay more. It’s expensive, but all of the food in Disney is expensive. Accept that before you arrive to a Disney park. We checked in 20 prior to our reservation, got an entire car to ourselves. We were able to talk to each other, but we wanted to watch the movies more. Drinks were perfect. Food is delicious. Service was fast. Air conditioning on a 90-degree day. We would absolutely come here over and over. The ONLY issue is getting a reservation. I checked the website daily and didn’t get a reservation until we were standing in line at the entrance of the park. It is near impossible to get a reservation, so if you see it is available, grab it quick. This is the hottest reservation!!! That’s saying something.

We booked the Fantasmic package at this restaurant on our last night at Disney. The latest table you could get for dinner on this package was 5pm. I felt that was quite early, but we were keen to try it. We were seated fairly promptly in our car, but then it took quite a few minutes for our wait person to come over. Our car seated 6, so there was another couple sitting directly behind us. We could hear every word of each others conversations. It is so dark that we had to use the torches on our phones to see the menu. The cars only have a narrow ledge as your table, so not a great deal of room. If you have young children be prepared for spillages! Our wait person wasn't the most approachable. He was quite abrubt, and spent more time telling us what he wouldn't recommend from the menu, rather than what was good, which was quite concerning. I asked for a cherry Coke as my drink. I was told I had to pay a supplement if I wanted a flavoured Coke! My onion ring starter was cold, but since the wait person was nowhere to be seen, I ate some of them. We had barely touched our starters when our main courses came, so it all felt very rushed, and that narrow ledge just didn't have enough room for it all. My burger was also cold, and I did send this back. I received a much warmer one within a few minutes. The burger wasn't to my taste, too charred, but the bacon on it was nice. The fries were very dry, like they had been reheated. I barely touched my meal, yet the wait person did not ask me if there was anything wrong. We ordered the chicken skewer, from the childrens menu, for our daughter. For $23 this was a complete joke. It was two tiny, plain pieces of chicken that looked lost on the plate. We chose the fruit salad and a sundae as her two sides. Again, the fruit salad was tiny. On multiple occasions we were asked if we were finished, while we still had our cutlery in our hands, so the experience was not a relaxed one. The wait person then left the bill and disappeared before our little girl had received her sundae. Eventually, after about 10 minutes, he brought it over. It wasn't really a sundae, just two scoops of ice cream in a paper cup. I was paying the bill using a gift card, so I had to go with the server to the back of the restaurant. He mentioned the tip line on the bill multiple times and stood right next to me while I filled it out. I felt extremely uncomfortable and ended up leaving a much larger tip than I thought he deserved. Other than the theming of the restaurant being a novel idea, I am actually struggling to say anything positive about this place. It was the most expensive meal we had during our stay, and most definitely the worst.

The food was just ok, I could gone to quick service an got same, however I thought the cars were cute but you couldn’t talk to your party 2 in front an 2 in back I don’t like seating in car at all

Fabulous burgers and malts, the authentic and delicious flavors, it. Unique is that very delayed the attention even having Reservation, but it is worth it!!!!

Very rude server did interduce him self just said hi what we having didn’t ask if I want a dessert just gave me the bill and say I’ll take that when your ready it felt like because I was on my own there wanted me out of the way quickly

A Unique Experience The restaurant is set like a drive in movie. Basic fare on the menu. Our appetizer fried pickles came quickly. Not the same for water or entrees. There is about an hour of Sci-Fi videos but it took longer than that for dinner. Either need to speed up service or add to the video track.

Had an early lunch reservation here after rope dropping the Star Wars rides. Was our 3rd time here and this time didn't disappoint either. The seating is unusual - but that's part of the fun - like 2 to a table - with another 2 in front of you at a table in the car. It's dark & loud - but fun. Service and food was good. My kids love the onion rings that come with the burgers & milkshakes too. Came really fast and so did the check. Worth a stop!

My wife and I booked a table here as part of a show package with a guaranteed seat for the Fantasmic show, as it was the only restaurant with a suitable booking time available. Our ‘table’ was a two person bench seat with a shelf in front of you. Our water, beer and starters came out and the shelf was full. Half way through our starter, our main course was brought to the table, and with no where to put it, our half eaten starters were whisked away to make room for them. I had nachos to start, my wife had onion rings, we both had burger and fries for main and we both had one beer each. The bill was $110. Never again!! Thank goodness the show was good!

I will start by saying l, we go to Disney at least once a month. We live in Orlando and have eaten at most of the big restaurants. The Sci-Fi dine in is by far the worst food you will have at any sit down restaurant at any of the parks.

This was a really cool place for lunch. They play trailers for old sci fi movies while you wait for your food and eat. The food was great and the staff was fantastic!

Another pretty good visit here, I have to say the food and drinks are not that bad, a bit of a cheesy place, movie playing from the 50s, can hardly see in the place and the table cars are sort of cramped, but the burgers here are not bad and the drinks and sides are equally good. Fried Pickles were tasty and they cook the burgers to your liking. Probably the cheapest place to get a Fantasmic dining package but make sure you make a reservation, this place gets packed.

The atmosphere was terrific. Loved eating in a car and watching ‘50’s horror movies, BUT, I go to a restaurant to eat and this food was inedible. We walked out hungry and $140.00 poorer. There was no excuse for serving such rotten food. The chicken pasta had a lime and cheese sauce on it that was disgusting. The chicken was rubbery and the food was cold. The garlic bread was okay. The hamburger had a weird sauce on it and it was not fully cooked. Who wants a raw hamburger. The chips were good and one serving of chips ended up being our dinner because everything else was disgusting, except for the milk shakes which were sublime. The bill for three people was $140.00 for little more than three milkshakes and a small order of fries. At that price I would have sent the food back except that we were rushing off to see Fantasmic. Go to enjoy the atmosphere but stay clear of everything except the fries and milkshakes.

We had a reservation and still waited 30 minutes to be seated. That was just a preview of more waiting to come...to be greeted, for drinks, for food, etc.. The food was bland and overpriced and it was so dark you couldn't see what you were eating. The atmosphere was cool with the cars and movie theme...but everything else 👎 Make other plans at Hollywood Studios

DELAY DELAY. Reservation for 14.20; call us at 14.45!!! Since we are in a park where attractions have to be booked (and even if I had nothing to do, I pay for an hour and a half later does not exist) we start badly! The place is so dark that I don’t even read the menu, there are 4 of us behind each other so those in front have to turn to talk to us. They're showing movie clips at the CDC in the 1940s. The food arrives at 15.20 and at 15.40 they bring us the bill because they gorged us like thanksgiving turkeys! Very good food (American burger with chips), sweet meh! To make us leave they turned up the air conditioning!

We have always liked this restaurant and have eaten there several times in recent years. This time, was the first time since 2019. We found the same beautiful layout and retro atmosphere as before. However, gone from the menu where our favourite items, pot roast, steak, for example, instead, the menu has been reduced significantly to basic fast food items such as hamburger, and chicken burger and pasta. We were very disappointed by the reduced offering and the quality of the food, which was just average, compared to previous years. Sadly, this Disney restaurant is not unique that way. We found that many of their restaurants have gone in the same direction with reduce menu and reduced quality, based on our experience of the last week. Still worth going, however, if you’re willing to accept these restrictions. The place is still beautiful and very cool.

Food was delicious. Great atmosphere. Nice place to take the family. Probably the kind of place you do once or twice. The AC was on full blast, had a hard time enjoying my meal, but overall, a nice place to grab a bite to eat.

HUGH DISAPPOINTMENT for our 2 grandkids. (Age 9) We booked months ahead. We had to wait about 20 minutes which that's understandable we are at Disney. There were 4 adults and 2 children. Instead of taking us to one of the retro cars, we were seated at a table. Right next to us was a car that would seat 6. We asked the waitress, could we move to the car table? She sent the manager over to us. The manager explained that car table was taken. We ask, could we get another car? She stated it would be at least another 45 minutes to an hour. It's already 7pm now and trying to get into another restaurant would be most likely an hour. We were all hungry and tired by this point. The children were so disappointed as their parents and grandparents. About 10 minutes later a family of 4 were seated in the car. Then 5 minutes or so 2 younger men were seated in the last 2 seats. This was 2 different groups!!! What this restaurant is doing is trying to get the most people in without wasting any chair space. They absolutely DON'T care about the children!!!! That's the only reason we booked this restaurant! So sad the manager didn't even care....know I know why. They do this all the time. If I could give a negative 10 I would!!!

The food quality has improved drastically and is now somewhere between quick service and fine dining. I am a sucker for the drive-in clips. We go every trip to WDW.

We have always wanted to try this restaurant, and it did not disappoint. I'm rating the experience five stars because it was exactly what we hoped for, and there was nothing to complain about whatsoever. Burgers came out tasty and perfectly cooked. Not to mention, the onion rings were freaking awesome!! I recommend asking for a side of the house made burger sauce to dip them in. Service was polite and efficient. Will definitely return.

A very interesting restaurant that simulates the old Drive-ins. The food is good, very typical options, and well served! By being within Disney the price and above the average.. And as the restaurant's proposal is to be a cinema, it's pretty dark! But it was a really nice experience!

Very 50s style place with burgers and shakes-type food. Old sci-fi clips and trailers from movies you've never heard of. Some of them make you laugh. Adults might find this place good as they would enjoy the bizare clips, but kids may not understand them, and most of the cars are facing the screen they might get bored watching the clips. Best recommend of parties of 2 adults.

Worst dining experience ever. What they don’t tell you is that every car is for 6 people, so if you’re 2 or 4 people, you’re gonna have others literally sitting right on top of you. Food was nothing great, expect to spend $100 or more for two people, even though it’s mediocre food. Would never eat here again

We dine here a couple times a year for lunch when we are at Disney. It's a fave of ours. It can be hard to get a reservations, but we've also had luck as a walk up. Our server was very funny and enthusiastic, but everything was really slow. What should be a relaxing lunch, but not over an hour and half, got to be a little annoying. We order our burgers which have always been tasty and juicy. The fries are nice and fresh and crispy even tho they are the fat fry kind. We were excited to try the new wings that are now on the menu. We were told they are slow smoked and were tasty, but we only got 4 (tiny) wings for $15. Even for Disney that's kind of disappointing. We will continue to return on our Disney trips because we like the burgers and the fun atmosphere. It's a perfect lunch spot.

We might be adults, but this restaurant is super and its a Time MAchine, we go right back to being kids the moment we walk through he doors The food was delicious and the setting puts a huge smile on our faces

The Sci-Fi Diner is one of the themed restaurants inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here, you sit in a car-shaped booth in a darkened theater while watching old-school sci-fi clips on a big projection screen. The service was pretty prompt, considering there was seemingly hundreds of people dining at once. I ordered the Cyborg-er, which was a burger topped with grilled pastrami, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and their house-made Carolina mustard sauce, all on a brioche bun. The burger was decent size and the grilled pastrami added a lot of flavor. I substituted onion rings for an extra $2.49 and while they were large and crispy, they were also dripping with grease. To me, the biggest drawback of the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater is just that: you are eating in the dark. I found it difficult to see my burger as it dripped down my wrists with what little light was provided, as I tried to eat it. Ultimately not my ideal dining environment. I would definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time because this place is popular and you may be waiting a long time for a table otherwise. Overall the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater was worth the experience but it is nothing I would do again.

This restaurant was fun and the food was good. Drive-in BBQ burger was tasty and the chocolate milkshake was to die for! Loved the cheesiness of the old movies, but be warned, this location is pretty dark inside. While the staff seemed done from the busy lunch period, our server Jill was very friendly and attentive.

If nothing else go for the experience, it really is good. The food is average, but the price is high. But to sit in that themed booth and watch the big screen is really cool. The milkshakes were really good, and our server was funny and attentive. If you can afford to do it, do it.

Over priced. Had to sit with another family, which was weird. Food wasn’t very good, except for the milkshake.

Fantastic dine in theatre. Absolutely stunning from inside and an amazing atmosphere. They have 1950s classic films and cartoons playing in the background. The ceiling in this place is mesmerising and the whole place is very romantic. My husband and I asked our server Yousuf about halal options and yousuf went above and beyond to help us pick out appropriate food for ourselves. Excellent service with a smile 😊

The first time we went with a 2 and 4 year old my kids were so entranced with eating in a car and watching screen. They kept asking to go again. This time around my now 8yo said it got boring because they kept repeating the clips which is fair. With that being said, it is a fun experience. Good is average but there’s not the point and it doesn’t cost much more than a Quick Service restaurant. It’s a great place to cool off and relax.

Was a fun experience & good food. They were able to seat us with another group of our friends. Atmosphere was fun & unique. A bit dark & chilly inside. We all had good drinks & food. Worth checking it out.

When in the park we came with no reservations and they found us a spot, not in the cars but a table named the flying saucer. The place is amazing like in an open movie under the sky and stars in Hollywood. You can watch extracts from old movies The food is good Caesar salade with shrimps and the penne Staff is really nice

Very disappointed in this restaurant/ attraction. We booked with the plan of checking the place out for a trip with our grandkids next year. On entering, the room looked fun. Most of the seating is in cars with 2 people per row, or 3 if a young child was included. There were a few ordinary tables at the back and a couple of tables for 8 which were next to us. The tables for 8 had a car front but were just basically canteen tables looking away from the screen. We saw 2 larger groups be shown to these tables who complained, refused to be seated there, and eventually walked out after discussions with the manager. We were asked how we wanted our burgers cooked and my husband and i ordered different. They both came medium- well and the waitress just said, " that's how they all come." The burgers were poor, both turned out to be very well done and very dry. I ordered a beer which i thought was a draft, because the bottles said 12 oz bottles. It turned out to be a soda sized can priced at $9.50. Above all of that, the biggest disappointment was the atmosphere. There was simply no atmosphere in the place. A black & white sine film played on the screen in a loop. It was already on its second run through before we finished our burgers. It was low volume background noise. We had kids sat in front and behind us, who were complaining to their parents that it was boring. They really need to shake things up here and do better.

Not what I expected I reserved our table 2 months prior to flying out when we arrived when you walk in it’s all very pretty and cool and dark a relief from the strong sun. Then we were shown to our table/car first off you don’t face your entire family as you would at a normal table your in rows with those infront of you with their back turned to you so talking isn’t easy. Secondly, there was an old couple on our table directly behind me. They were not known to us and it was very uncomfortable to have them sat with us especially as they were upset and complaining they had been split up from their family and not sitting anywhere near them they took a call from their family and all were complaining why they couldn’t be sat together and were unhappy which ruined our experience too. The waitress came over she was polite but that’s it she took all our orders together including the old couple sat behind me I had to tell her we were not the same group we had just been dumped together like this which she didn’t know! The cars seat two to a row we were a family of 3 that left me on a row alone with no one to talk to unless my family kept turning round to speak to me it’s not what you want from a dining experience or being sat with strangers! Our starters were very nice indeed. However the main meals were not, they got our sons order completely wrong it came with salad, burger sauce all things we stated he didn’t want! My husbands burger came without salad and the sauce so they had to swap! My chicken sandwich was ok but my fries were so salty they were inedible I asked my husband to try incase it was me and he actually spat the one out he tried into a napkin and said they were disgusting and caked in salt! Having tried his fries there was no salt on his at all! The waitress was nowhere to be seen to complain to in fact after delivering the starter we never saw her again our main meals arrived before the starters had been cleared away and were served by a nice male waiter. Another family came to sit at a table next to us and they were not happy they had been split up from family and trying to find them in the dark restaurant all in all it was really disappointing this was the one restaurant my hubby and son were looking forward to and it was a massive let down won’t go back

First time and loved it!!!! The service, food and the experience here were excellent... We had a blast and it's a must try!! Can't wait to visit in the summer with my guy!

My family absolutely LOVED eating at the SCI-FI Diner. It felt like you were in a real car, being served by a real car hop, outside under the stars. The old sci-fi movies were typical of the 50's and it was so nostalgic for me and my sister. The food was delicious, but it was the atmosphere that made it a wonderful experience. Our car hop was so fun to talk to and he was very knowledgable about the food on the menu as well as the Hollywood studios park. My youngest son fell asleep because it actually felt like it was nighttime on a warm summer night. You could even hear crickets.

This was a place we’ve been wanting to try for quite a long time. We finally got a reservation. We have a special needs adult child we bring so we were always concerned about the seating in the cars. They have plenty of seating where she was able to sit at a part table part car . It was very cool. The stars up in the sky were also cool. The waiter was very kind and helpful. The food is fine and reasonably priced. It was a very nice experience .

Delicious burgers!! Yes the restaurant is dark and the tables are in a car facing forward. Though I did see some regular tables where you face each other but you’d miss the hilarious old sci Fi stuff on the screen or would have to turn your head to see it. There is old sci Fi stuff that had everyone in the restaurant chuckling like the self driving car of the future and the tv telephone where you could see the person you were talking to. Funny to compare the past expectations of the future and now. Also some old cartoons and even an intermission. The old sci fi stuff like the attack of the 50 foot woman and stuff like that was fun to watch. No the set up isn’t for some people but it was a cool unique experience and one of the best burgers I’ve had! Price isn’t too bad either. We loved it!

I let the kids and grandkids pick our lunch spot at Hollywood Studios. We have learned over the years that they give you a lot of food. So the kids ordered Kids Cheeseburger and Kids Chicken Nuggets. Even the adults, we ordered a salad, an appetizer and a couple of sandwiches. We did upgrade to onion rings which we really like. It was a good meal, with a good server in a fun & comfortable setting.

We had a reservation for 6:20 and the app said we could check in anytime after 6. We did and we asked how long the wait would be because we had return times for a ride. We were told we should be called right around 6:20, possibly earlier, so we stuck around. We ended up waiting until nearly 7pm to be seated so wasted an entire hour waiting even though we had a reservation. When we're finally seated it isn't at one of the table cars it's at a 2 seater car so my husband and daughter sat with their backs to me and our toddler. The food was decent but it was really quiet and dark in there, not ideal for kids. When we went to pay our server lost my husbands credit card and then asked him if he had put one in there (lol). The server finally retraces his steps with a flash light and finds it and then blames my husband for where he placed it within the book- as if my husband wanted the server to lose our credit card. It was so silly and a huge waste of our evening. We ended up leaving dinner with enough time to ride one more ride. It was a big waste of time. We had an entirely opposite experience at Akershus, we will never dine at Sci-Fi again.

The impossible burger was excellent. There were some complaints about the classic American burger - too much bread and not enough patty (it was tasty!). It’s very dark in there and hard to even read the menu; speaking of they need to bring back hotdogs and drop some of these other things. The pasta doesn’t make sense for a drive in movie theater. The little cars you sit in are very small but I don’t care, it’s such a unique experience.

We had lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-In on November 27, 2024. We’d loved it on our last visit with our niece 30 years ago & took her 10 year old daughter when we visited Disney World during Thanksgiving week. I booked our reservation online 60 days prior to our arrival date since we were staying onsite. It’s incredibly popular & books up quickly so advance reservations are a good idea. We checked in a few minutes early & our car was ready in about 10 minutes. We were taken to our car - my husband & niece took the front seat, I had the second to myself & there were 1 or 2 rows behind us with other guests. We knew the setup in advance & were happy to technically share a car. We all ordered hamburgers & they were delicious! I enjoyed my bottomless Diet Coke & we all enjoyed our niece’s strawberry milk shake! Service was very good-our waiter was personable, took our pictures for us, checked back for refills dessert, etc., - perfect for this restaurant. We loved the ambience- it’s just a fun, clever place with really good, basic American classics. If we get to go back with our future great-great niece in 30 more years, we’ll be excited to go again!

This is really fun place. My husband had the chicken pasta at the recommendation of our waiter (Dustin) and he said it was fantastic. I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was really good. The sangria was yummy.

Dinner for four, three adults and one child, during our WDW vacation. It had been several years since we had eaten at the Sci-Fi restaurant in Hollywood Studios, so the menu was quite different since our original visit. First the GOOD: Atmosphere, service, entertainment. Admittedly we want to dine here to sit in the cars! Very fun and the service was superb. Now, for the BAD: The food. So disappointed. Our party ordered the BBQ Burger, the American Burger, the Chicken pasta, and kids pizza. Both burgers' buns were hard, like they sat under a heat lamp too long and the meat on the burgers was mushy,,,well-done mushy meat, yuck! Only 1/2 of each burger was eaten and one of the adults got sick from it; vomited and diarrhea. The kid's pizza was so terrible that my 8yr old grandson would not eat it and asked for chicken noodle soup which the server promptly brought. Just OKAY: The chicken pasta was just okay... pasta and sauce were good, but the "seasoned" chicken was not seasoned, and the chicken was rubbery like it had been boiled. So, if you want to go experience this FUN, unique restaurant, go for dessert as the ice cream and milkshakes are good, not great, but good.

Staff must have mistaken us for “foreigners”. They avoided us after being seated, and made to wait over ten minutes while other tables were being served although they arrived after us. When we pinged them, manager came over to apologize with excuse that they were busy. Reason for one star, is they were busy YES, but other tables were being served who came in after us. Staff mistaking us and avoiding us, probably we can understand although uncouth as hell. Some of us speak English even though we don’t look like it. Sometimes we can speak other languages too, which we do. I know you have issues with non-English speakers, but come on, you are Disney. Maybe a central translating stations like the UN may be needed for your staffs’ needs. 50% of our group are native English speakers. 50% yes, you are right don’t. But you are a restaurant, so act like one!!!

The burguer was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing, an awesome break from the heat and crowds of the park. The vintage environment served for a very relaxing and peaceful experience. The quality of the food was excellent and our waiter did a great job. Highly recommended!

My wife and I are dinner at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater at Hollywood Studios. The atmosphere is a lot of fun. it is themed as a 1950s drive-in theatre with the wait staff as car hops. There is a large screen like a drive-in theatre that plays movie trailers from 1950s B-films like "Plan 9 from Outer Space" and "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman." They also show old commercials for concessions stands, etc. The menu is mostly burgers. There was a salad on the menu. Both my wife and I had burgers. She had the classic burger with onion rings (extra charge) and I had the BBQ Burger with pulled pork on the burger and with a side of French fries. The Burgers were good and we thought the onion rings were good. The French fries were above average. We also had a chocolate milkshake which was decent. Our server was friendly and explained the menu well. We enjoyed the service. One complaint was that the air conditioning was too cold. It was a rainy day and the AC was blowing too strongly and making us feel quite cold. I can recommend the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre; it is a fun experience.

Although it is a park restaurant, the expectation is for something better than any stall. But extremely greasy food, few expensive and unoriginal menu options, which ultimately don't make up for the beautiful setting. Escape

Fun restaurant! We all had burgers, fries and milkshakes. No complaints with the food or service. The novelty of sitting in a car and eating while watching movie clips is worth it. Just keep in mind that usually you sit about two to a car seat and your party is split up so it’s not good for sharing appetizers or having conversations.

Very cute atmosphere. I loved the theme. It’s absolutely darling. It’s great for a novelty visit. However, don’t expect much from the food. The food wasn’t Much better than a quick service meal. I’m glad to have experienced it but I would not Revisit.

A unique & fun restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We visited for lunch in mid-October & enjoyed our visit overall, with a few suggestions for improvement... We ordered several of their vegan-friendly items, trying the plant-based Cookie Shake (thick, creamy & delicious), Flying Saucer Impossible Burger (excellent chips/fries but perhaps would’ve been nicer without the pesto & Sci-Fi Impossible Nachos (a decent portion with flavoursome, generous toppings). Whilst the food tasted good, the prices were quite high (as expected for a Disney restaurant). The interior was unique & different, with car-like seating facing a cinema screen; however, this meant that most people/tables were seated facing the screen rather than each other, making conversation difficult. Finally, we found the air-con a bit too extreme (to the point of shivering) & it was so dark inside that it was actually really hard to eat/drink/see what we were doing…! If the temperature & lighting could be increased slightly, I would love to visit again!

Absolutely loved this place! This is by far one of the coolest themed restaurants I have ever been to. We were greeted at the door by a very friendly server who took us 'back in time' to the 1950's. The food options are quite limited but this place is definitely more about the experience, and the options they do have, mainly burgers and fries, are perfectly in keeping with the theme and were overall very good. Service was fantastic, the servers were extremely helpful and friendly and we got our orders fairly quick. The atmosphere is just perfect, it feels as though you are sitting outside in a drive-in theatre, with a perfect variety of retro trailers playing on the screen. I am a huge fan of retro monster movies, vintage cars, the overall 1950's vibe and this felt like it was made for me. Hoping to make a return in future!

This is really fun. You eat in a car, at the drive-in theater, while watching B sci-fi movies. Where else can you do that! It's really American food ... burgers, fries, onion rings, and some pasta and seafood. It was fun and big, filling food but everything we had was tasty. The movies were fun.

I just had the worst experience at what should be the most magical place on earth all thanks to this restaurant and your lack of "magical customer service"!! It's tough traveling to Disney and fitting time in to experience every ride, show and to be seated at dinner as a family to eat together after a tiring day on your feet. Once the window was open for dinning reservations we booked for 10 of us months in advanced for our trip. My mom's 71st birthday and she's battling cancer and last wish to come to Disney as a family and we waited over 30 minutes after our reservation time to sit at a table designed for 6 people.....like what!!!! And there response was well we can add some additional seats. Um really. No you need to add a whole other table. And not a single "cast member" seemed to care that this was unacceptable and left us no option but to leave and find some where else to eat. Our family tradition of eating at Sci'Fi at Hollywood Studios when we visit Disney World is done because we will never eat here again!!!!!! Ruin our last family vacation

Staff were great. Our take wasn't quite ready for the time we booked (it was a busy day) but we had a drink at the bar next door and they came to find us when our table was ready, which was great. The atmosphere inside is great & well themed. It was really quiet and calm inside which makes it a good spot to relax during a very busy Disney day. Burgers were excellent (especially the Banh Mi) and our server kept checking in incase we needed anything. Service was great here.

We did a late dinner here right before they close. The burgers were great and so were the fries. We didn't try the shakes but heard the oreo one was the best. They do have beer on tap. This is a fun Easy place to go with a family.

It was a really cool experience. It gave me the vibe straight from grease. Had the old cinema adverts which was really cool and the waitress spoke to us in food car lingo which was fun. The menu was basic but you're more going for the experience. The food was tasty though. Only downside I found was ..it was meant to be like your in an outside cinema I get that ...but you could not see your food at all....tiny lights would not go a miss and would not ruin the experience. I think I would've enjoyed it more if I could see what I was eating... Also The adverts/ film is on a loop so you saw the loop over and over of just old adverts So it's starts off really cool but then it becomes repetitive. Great experience. I enjoyed the vibe.

Our family got stuck on the Runaway Railway ride. I finally had an employee let me leave so I could make our 1:30 reservation. I arrived at 1:28 and they wouldn’t seat me until the entire party was there. I explained I would order all the food and they were stuck on the ride, but would be there shortly. They would not honor the reservation. My family was off the ride at 1:38, so there would’ve been no delay. I would never return to this restaurant and really have no desire to return to Disney. Creating a Disney Experience is no longer a thing and it is all driven by the money at this point.

Pros - such an enjoyable immersive individual restaurant! The kids loved sitting in the car watching the fun film loop. Great milkshakes. The food was ok, standard burgers etc but we enjoyed it. Service was good inside the restaurant. Server gave good recommendations on the menu. Cons - front of house service was poor. Told to wait outside with no shade as our table wasn’t ready even though we turned up when they asked. I thought this was mean considering there is ample seating to wait inside. Very dark in restaurant. I totally understand it’s for ambiance but I struggled to read the menu. All seats face forward in cars so not much engagement with each other during meal. There are picnic tables to the rear of the restaurant but I would still ask for a car.

This hidden gem was a very unique experience. Besides a break from the heat, it is mostly in the dark and it is very quiet which isn't typical for Disney restaurants. You do sit in a car and it is 2 per row (which can be tight) and you face forward so there is not much interaction with the other people you came to dinner with. They have cartoons on a big screen like an actual drive-in. The food was good and the portions were big. I was stuffed and couldn't have dessert. The chocolate milkshake is more ice cream than an actual shake and you have to wait for it to melt before you can really have it through the straw. I would get the burger and fries, they were great!

Not sure what is going on here. Last few visits the food was decent, over priced, but tasted ok. Last visit all food came out cold. The burger was very firm and not juicy. The fries were over cooked.

Popped in here on the off chance and managed to get a table - not one of the 50’s car / drive in themed tables unfortunately and we were placed right at the back… However, food was good, waitress was amazing and a fun place to eat. I noticed the recent bad reviews but erm, we really enjoyed it!!

We had a reservation at 8:00 and had arrived 20 minutes early waited almost an hour like many have stated to be seated. After waiting all that time we were sat in a regular table. This was so disappointing for our children who were so excited to sit in a car to have dinner. Even more disappointing the table we were sitting at wasn’t facing the screen so definitely not the same experience as all others. We asked politely to be moved to any of the empty cars around us we explained the kids had been waiting all day for this experience and rude manager said no possibility of changing our seats. We are pass holders have been pass holders for over 10 years and dine at Disney restaurants often but we will never go back here. The person running this place doesn’t belong at Disney. Magical Disney experience was out the window the moment we had to wait over 45 minutes to be seated. Sorry Disney you blew it here.

You definitely should get reservations they were not taking walk-ins. The food was good not a huge menu, burgers, chicken salad and yes they do have French fries even though they are not on the menu. Each sandwich comes with fries and for an upgrade they have onion rings. There are a few flavors of milkshakes offered and they have beer on tap and in bottles. Staff was very friendly. Each car has 3 rows of seating front, middle and back. You do not get your own car unless you can fill the 3 rows.

The Staff is very nice; both at Check-in and also extraordinary Servers (James from London and Lauren from Connecticut). Great people but food was totally mediocre; yes, it’s Disney food, but the Wings tasted old, Nachos beef was poorly cooked and the Chicken Salad sandwich was tasteless. All expensive as well ($76 for two, plus Tip). Go for the experience, but eat elsewhere. Oh, the Margarita, although tasty, was ALL Ice. Not worthwhile. Why can’t Disney provide better quality food?

It was our first time here and it was so cute and quite the experience. My husband and I are of a certain age and we remember the REAL Drive-in theatres and this was so cool for us. I would give it a full 5 star had it not been for the undercooked burger I got after ordering it well done. It is so dark in there that it was not easy to see your burger so we used my husband's cell phone flashlight to check out my burger, as I just felt something wasn't just right. Well, to my surprise, it was quite red!!! Like raw red!!! I called our server over and showed her. She brought it back and returned later with a new burger and fries but I was grossed out by then and my appetite was gone out the door. My husband's burger wasn't well done either but not half as bad as mine. I would have much preferred getting either a refund for just my meal or a reduction in our entire bill, but we were never given that option. We are Canadians so this was quite expensive (at 40% exchange rate) for a meal we left behind. I just left everything there. So that was the only bummer to our experience. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. So, note to self, check your food before eating it because it could ruin a visit real quick. If I were to return, I would do just that....check my burger.

This was the first place we ate on our trip at Disney Hollywood studios. I want to firstly give a shout out to the hostess at the front of house. I unfortunately did not get her name, but while there was quite a few family's and groups waiting to be seated, to pass the time and keep us all engaged, she played a Disney trivia game with us, which I thought was personally a great idea. now inside the actual restaurant was quite special seeing it for the first time. it is very quirky and goes all out for the theme of a drive in setting. the only down side of this is as it is meant to be set at night, the room is quite dark, especially from coming in from the sunshine. there are lights on your 'table' in the car so you can see your drinks and food, but that is really it. the waiters do walk around with torches to guide you and themselves though. the food itself was good but average. The bacon cheese burger I had was good, but the chips/fries were just a bit overly salty for my taste personally. the service was good and friendly, no complaints there at all. there is a screen at the front playing old American drive in adverts and classic sci-fi film trailers. which as someone from the UK was quite an experience overall I would recommend for the overall experience of this restaurant.

The restaurant was absolutely freezing - almost empty and our meal was disgusting. Our main course had quite possibly been prepared a good while before it was delivered, the fries were dry, the burgers inedible. I returned my plate almost untouched. We complained at the time but apart from acknowledging how cold it was there was no real interest in our complaint - and unfortunately while I was at the front desk making my feelings known my husband paid the bill - which I would not have done.

We had booked the Fantasmic! dining package here and were blown away! From start to finish, the experience at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater was outstanding! I'll start with the atmosphere, which is why so many people love this restaurant. The theming is spot-on and was exactly what I had hoped it would be when I made the reservation. It really does feel like you're at a drive-in theater. The cool, dark room made for a great escape from the hot day we were having in the park and we loved just sitting there watching what was playing on the big screen. Yes, it is very dim in there, but we were able to see everything we needed just fine with the lights at the table and I only had to pull out my phone's flashlight once, when we dropped something under the table. The food was wonderful! I had the burger that was on special that day and it was perhaps the best burger I've ever had in my life. I also highly recommend their spinach and artichoke dip. On top of the fantastic food and cool atmosphere, we had great service! From the minute we checked in, every employee we encountered was lovely. And our server was incredibly attentive! Overall, I thought this was a perfect respite from a long day in the park. The theming, service, and food make this my favorite restaurant in Hollywood Studios, and perhaps in all of the parks.
Well themed restaurant
The kids really loved this place, our table was a car and they sat in the front. They said it was like going to McDonald's drive through! The food and service were good, tasty burgers and good portions. The only complaint was that the TV screen could have been more child friendly, luckily they had a kids activity sheet to do.
