We had what would be considered an early dinner at the resturant. Appetizers were good, the bone in Filet which I had was a little to fatty for a $78 steak. Overall the dinner, the waiter, and the staff were excellent. My reason for the VG review and not Excellent is because for this type of resturant I think they are overpriced.

Atmosphere was fantastic, live music, smooth jazz, and the Steaks were phenomenal. Oscar or server was very attentive, kind, and helpful when it came to navigating the menu. If you're looking for good quality food; I would definitely recommend stopping by at least once.

Wife and I went here today for our anniversary, and we're very glad we did! Everyone was great, but have to recognize Rick and Tommy as our two man crew that made the experience amazing. The steaks were perfection, cooked exactly as we requested, and of the highest quality. The decor and lighting tied it all together neatly. The sides were excellent, with slightly different interpretations of classic dishes setting them apart from other steakhouses. Wife and I like to try different places for special occasions, but we might just have to come back here again next year.

Two visits in a two month period and I'm definitely a fan... Scotch 80 ambiance and service: This is gorgeous dimly lit restaurant with plenty of pop art and operational spectacles perfect for the gram. Statues at the entrance, glass vault displaying vintage Scotch, holographic art, a beautiful full sized bar, mobile old fashioned bars moving around and you have a lot of action. It's attractive but also loud af in there. Service has always been what'd you expect from a $$$$ restaurant. Staff is sharply dressed that enhances the classy vibe. The kitchen is great with getting your $$$$ food to your table quickly. They turn their tables fast here. Scotch 80 Cuisine: We've sampled a lot family style, here are my faves. Right off the bat, the bread basket comes out warm with so many different flavorful choices. The delicious ribeye ravioli served on top of a roasted bone marrow is my favorite appetizer by far but go ahead and try their savory lobster bisque. The Rib Cap "Chef Barry's Steak" is my current favorite but the dry age filet and bone in ribeye is fantastic as well. The old school creamed corn, shishito peppers and the mac & cheese is easy to pair with any steak. The oren ishi is my current in house cocktail champion and is dangerously tasty. If you want treat yo self or if a vendor is paying, definitely order the Mesquite Fired Crustacean Tower, it's delicious and your social median fans will love it. This is a sexy restaurant to get dressed up and drop some cash. This is a classy, fun and pricey dining experience. Social media friendly and great cuisine makes it a must visit. Enjoy!

This restaurant is a must when you are Vegas. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. Start with the Shrimp cocktail..you won’t go wrong. The steak dinner was yummy.

This is an amazing place, which ticks all the boxes: food, service, music, ambiance, decor. It hits the perfect symmetry of fine dining, but without the stuffiness of haute cuisine - it is Vegas after all. The wine list is extensive, without being overwhelming, and the same for the meat cuts. We started with the king crab salad and tuna sashimi, both of which were fantastic, the crab was so good we ordered another one. We had the bison fillet and the dry aged NY strip on the bone, both cooked to perfection. With sides of grilled asparagus and the cauliflower, meal was perfection. It should be noted that the barrista made an espresso that would be considered good even in Milan or Melbourne. Nothing can be 100% perfect though. They didn't have the orange bitters to make a Laphroig Project, but promised me they would have next time. Not cheap, $460 for three of us, including cocktails, wine and tip, but worth every penny

Celebrated special birthday. Awesome restaurant for a visit. A little over the top with the prices especially if you’re trying to attract locals. Our first impression was not the best as our salad arrived before the water, glass of wine or even the bread. Other then that The dry aged Rib eye was good. The Chef came by and did a table visit. Maybe we will give them another opportunity to commit on excellent service. Ambience was great and our server was very courteous.

Delicious food, stellar service and elegant ambiance. My husband and I have been trying out the higher end steak houses in Vegas and this one is right near the top of not at the top. The ribeye and filet were cooked to perfection. We had an amazing tuna starter compliments of the chef that was phenomenal. Highly recommend!

We visited Las Vegas with my father. Some friends recommended us this place and it was totally worth it. Everything is in harmony..the atmosphere the music (not too loud not too low), the staff is superfriendly and last but not least the food.. we ordered the shrimps and a wedge salad for starters and the new york sirloin 12oz as a main.. excellence!

This is a nice little remake of the former steak restaurant here. The inside feels a lot more subdued, elegant and less crowded. The food on average was very good. We sampled their seafood, steaks (of course!), butternut squash soup, crabcakes, sides of green beans almondine, fries and mushrooms. All were excellent. One of the nice old school touches are the table side carts that served our specialty drinks, Dover sole, and dessert (old fashioned ice cream sundae was a fun dessert). The service was attentive and very good. Where I must dock this restaurant 1/2-1 star is the noise level. When we first arrived, the music was very subdued and you could carry on a comfortable conversation. As the evening progressed, the noise level escalated such that conversation was more difficult. I understand the age demographics of the Palms, however, it seemed like there were many couples or small groups of friends there that would appreciate a less noisy dining environment. I do appreciate though that most of the clientele were dressed appropriately. It was nice to see ladies in nice dresses and gentlemen in sport coats or suits. Definitely a worthwhile place to dine.

After not recieving our steaks for three hours the manager knew he had a problem but didn't come to our table to apologize. I requested the manager and after 20 minutes he finally comes to the table and he agrees his kitchen is a disaster. When we finally got served the steaks were over cooked and dry from being in a hot box. The staff knew this and they sent steak sauce ( mainly ketchup) without being requested. I told our waitress either take the steaks off our tab or I would walk out not paying for anything. We didn't have to pay for the steaks.

I made reservations here nearly 2 weeks ago knowing I would be staying at the Palms Hotel. When I looked at their menu I noticed they had wagyu top sirloin and I was excited to try it. Upon arriving the ambiance was spectacular and the service impeccable. Ric and Angelo were my servers and did a superb job not only suggesting dishes but explaining everything on my plate which I greatly appreciated. He made sure no avocado was prepared near my dishes as I am allergic. I had the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and 8 ounces of wagyu steak with 2 sides being potatoes and asparagus. The 2 sides were too much for me to finish but they tasted great later. Everything was so very delectable and I cannot wait to try it again when I return to The Palms Hotel and Casino.

Recently reopened following the pandemic and chaos caused by Kaos it is under new ownership that The Palms seeks to regain its title as Las Vegas’ best Off-Strip resort, a goal with chances bolstered thanks to Chef Marty Lopez and General Manager Jorge Pagani at Scotch 80 Prime. Debuted late-Spring of 2018, stalwart N9NE Steakhouse making way for a room decorated in Basquiat and Haring, guests visiting Scotch 80 today will find much of the original aesthetic maintained minus paintings kept by past owners, the Bar still well-stocked with rare Whiskeys and service predictably impeccable. Located at the resort’s east end with an entirely revamped menu it was following a glass of bubbly that dinner was deferred to the kitchen, Chef Marty’s time at 35 Steaks And Martinis, Andre’s and Herringbone earning unwavering trust that was fortified by Crudo beneath Caviar and Appetizers such as vibrant Tiradito and Bluefin Tuna Tataki lent texture by fried Parsnips. Not forgetting delicate Milk Bread or a well-sourced Seafood Tower, nor hand-cut Steak Tartare made extra smooth by a Quail Egg and melting Duck Liver, Sauvignon Blanc helped transition the palate to a second round featuring Potato-crusted Crab Cakes and $17-bargain Brie Fondue with Bacon Jam. Getting creative with Bone Marrow by adding Beef Cheek and Popcorn alongside “Steakhouse Jerky,” the latter a never-before-seen stunner with Thai inspiration, Chef Lopez’s Miso-glazed Sea Bass may have just been the night’s best dish thanks to not only delicate Flesh in Dashi but lightly sweetened Fish Eggs and dueling Mushroom textures. Cleansing the palate with Sorbet, Riesling then Cabernet Sauvignon it is safe to say Steaks and Sides at Scotch 80 Prime are amongst Las Vegas’ top-3, a 45-day Dry Aged Creekstone Farms Porterhouse and Mishima 5-Star Wagyu New York Strip both perfectly cooked while the “best” side dish is a toss-up between Mushrooms beneath Foie Gras Foam, Truffled “Millionaire’s Maccheroni” or the Famous Hash Browns. Torn between saving room for Dessert or sampling all seven Sauces on additional bites of Steak the decision to do both proved fortuitous, Marty’s Bordelaise made the right way as good as anything one might find in Paris before a glass of Tokaji segued to Pastry Chef Tammy Alana’s delicate Lemon Lime Pavlova and Butterscotch Crème Brulee. Getting fancy for the #gram with Fireball S’mores, flaming Liquor poured tableside revealing Warm Chocolate Cake, Tammy’s Basque Cheesecake carefully balances bitter and salty with Berries while an unnamed dish unveiled in a swirl of smoke finds five types of Chocolate varying in taste, texture, intensity and temperature.

Delicious food, great service. Kisha B was our server tonight and she was very attentive and friendly. All the other wait staff was great as well.

Although most of The Palms' recent headlines have been surrounded by Kaos, Las Vegas' best fine dining story going into 2020 could very well be Chef Daniel Ontiveros' hiring at Scotch 80 Prime, and on Thursday evening the man with stints at Comme Ca and Bouchon on his resume showed precisely why many in-the-know Chefs have been singing his praises for some time. A part of Sin City since late-Spring of 2018, longtime N9NE Steakhouse Chef Barry Dakake's departure in March making way for a culinary team now led by Daniel, Steve Barr and Pastry Chef Tammy Alana, Scotch 80 Prime resides on the resort’s east end, and just as during past visits the service remains equally impressive as the Restaurant’s enviable art collection. Touting Basquiat and Haring, plus an “impossible-to-find” Whisky collection, it was inside a comfy alcove that an almost entirely re-vamped menu was perused before asking Chef Ontiveros to cook Carte Blanche, a glass of bubbly setting the scene and pairing nicely with Peewee Potatoes generously topped in Caviar. Not at all basic with Bread service, memories of Tammy’s top-tier basket from Alize bested by sugared Brioche and black Rolls with Cheese, dinner continued with two styles of Fish, traditional Tartare enlivened by Harissa and salty Roe while Yellowtail came in four individual shot glasses with subtle heat and a hint of Mint. Continuing with Shellfish, an already exquisite bowl of Bisque upgraded by early season Black Truffles, suffice it to say that in a city with many Shellfish Towers none achieve the heights of Scotch 80 Prime’s version, a tableside flambé extinguished with what can best be described as Scampi Sauce and the resultant Crustaceans across-the-board delicious thanks to Butter, Garlic and smoke. Torn between saving room for Entrees and sopping up every last drop of the tower’s Sauce with Bread, it was with good fortune that the former was selected, the American Wagyu from Washington almost as smooth and buttery as imported A4 while Daniel’s Lamb set-up is delicious and seasonal with particular attention warranted for the Sweet Potatoes. Mindful to not overindulge in sides, though the Mashed Potatoes rival Robuchon’s while Mac & Cheese is anything but boring, it was with the arrival of a tableside cart that Dessert was announced, the “Fire & Ice” Banana Split always a head-turner that is big enough to share, though the trio of Sorbets is equally enjoyable and ideal for vegans as well as those with smaller appetites. Replacing Summer’s Rhubarb Crostata with Apple, the Pastry on-point regardless of its contents, those seeking something more #instagrammable should gravitate towards either “Scotch & Cigar” or Chocolate Layer Cake, but unlike other Steakhouses who sacrifice substance for style, these two Desserts are just as delicious as they are fun to look at. FIVE STARS: Although Scotch 80 Prime debuted strong in May of 2018 the menu had been slow to change, but on Thursday night a new era was witnessed attesting to a gifted kitchen primarily concerned with flavor, while tableside presentations add rather than distract from a dining room and service that rank amongst Las Vegas’ best.

This is one of the best steak restaurant in town. Great service, the staff are very accomodating and very friendly. The ambiance and décor are exceptional. Of course the food is outstanding. If you are in Vegas, do not miss going there.

Went to Scotch 80 Prime for the first time and the experience could not have been any better. Our waiter; Oscar, was absolutely incredible. His attention to detail in the service that he provided along with his knowledge and expertise of the menu was second to none. Oscar was able to answer all of our questions, make exceptional recommendations (the Wagyu beef tasting was spectacular) and ensured that everything was cooked to perfection. The chef came out with the beef samples prior to preparing them and walked us through the nuances of each type of beef. We were treated like royalty throughout and would absolutely recommend Scotch 80 Prime to anyone look for an evening unlike any other while in Las Vegas!

Really dazzling restaurant. Great on all fronts. Amazing cocktail and dessert carts. Warm service. Go!

Everything was amazing! From the hostes, to the table, service and one of the best meals we had. Definitely will come back! The highlight of the meal was our server Kisha who was super knowledgeable about the food and the diferent steaks! Thank you again!

A great experience with a lengthy whiskey menu. A game of thrones menu for anyone claiming a House, was very intriguing. Salmon was perfectly cooked and generous in size. Baked mac was delish and bread were excellent. They serve family style which was nice because you could try a little of everything. The shrimp appetizer was a better version of bang bang shrimp. Drinks were flowing and refilled constantly. A good atmosphere and we will be back.

As a hospitality professional that works at a 5 Diamond property in the Las Vegas market, there is a certain level of service I expect and Scotch 80 Prime didn't disappoint. The restaurant was clean and the service from the staff was impeccable. The food and drinks didn't miss the mark. Special mention to the waiter Daniel who was professional and took the time to explain extra details of my delicious 5 course order as it was presented to me and VIP Bartender Eddie who made sure I was comfortable at the bar as a solo diner and kept my cocktail flowing. If you're traveling to Las Vegas and want to experience a fine dining experience a mile off the strip away from the crowd, I recommend going to the Palms Casino Resort.

My penultimate evening at The Palms and I wanted something special. I had eaten at most of the other outlets in the casino, not fast food, and Scotch 80 Prime seemed a logical place to investigate. I had no prior knowledge of the place. The gorgeous lady servers were all dressed in black, revealing but concealing. As a solo diner one tends to be pushed to 'the bar' or to high chair tables, but here I was led to a booth where I had a grand view of the restaurant which was great. The staff were excellent. The food was gorgeous too! A Vodka Martini, crab starter, lamb chops main washed down with a lovely glass of Merlot. Too pogged for desert. I wish I had known that the establishment was a specialist in Whiskeys from around the British Isles. Now you know. Excellent, well recommended.

Our server Luis killed it. From beginning to end, he remained informative and professional, yet still had a charming and welcoming aura about him. The drinks and the food were amazing as well. If you decide to visit, I recommend the creamed corn, and the dry-aged bone-in ribeye.

The food was truly spectacular. They served the best French onion soup I have ever eaten. My husband had the Cesar salad and felt the same way. Steak was melt in your mouth... great atmosphere. We would definitely do this again!

Excellent service. Nice touches like an amuse de bouche. Good food and nice relaxed atmosphere. Great music.

Fantastic food and better service! Rick and his team were outstanding. A chef in Toronto recommended the restaurant and it did not disappoint!

Outstanding experience...the food was amazing...menu options outstanding...atmosphere very special and the staff was fun courteous, professional and efficient...prices reasonable for the location and quality

If you want excellent service, the best seafood & steaks in town along with a vibrant bar scene & the best people watching in the city, then this is your place. It's a new place at the Palms resort & casino. Well worth the effort to get there. This place has the largest selection of scotch whiskey in the world. Try the tasting flights. Also....get the banana split at the end of the meal. It's made with liquid nitrogen at your table. Quite a show Very cool!

We were a party of four locals going to see Peter Frampton in the Palms showroom. We decided to try their new, ‘Scotch 80 Prime’, restaurant before the show. It is marketed as a restaurant, “that combines classic Las Vegas charm with an unparalleled dining experience.” The hostess amicably greeted us and we were seated immediately. The décor is modern, brightly lit with a long bar in the center. There were a couple of things that were not to our personal liking which might be pleasing to other diners. There are large plasma TV screens above the bar which gave the place a sports bar atmosphere more than that of “classic Las Vegas charm”. The other was they have a DJ playing music which is probably good for a younger crowd, just not for us. We ordered cocktails, a couple of Scotches (and yes they do have a Scotch sommelier) and two Gibson martinis: the classic gin martini garnished with a couple of pickled pearl onions. Alas, there was nary a pearl onion to be found in the hotel. Our appetizers: lump crab meat cocktail ($24), Caesar salad with bacon ($21) and two seafood ceviche specials ($22 ea.) the flavors were good. We ordered four prime steak dinners: Bone in filet ($75) Porterhouse steak ($89) Bone-in rib eye ($64) N.Y. sirloin ($89). All were ordered medium rare and cooked spot on. If there was one downside to dinner it was that the side dishes advertised as enough to share: Mac & cheese ($14) creamed spinach ($12) potato gnocchi ($16). The portions were small and lacked seasoning. We were going to a show and didn’t have time for dessert. Four espresso martini after dinner drinks served the purpose. We thought the overall dining experience was good but the prices were too touristy for our local wallets.

Loved the restaurant. Food and service was amazing. However… we were intrigued by one of the specials that we ended up getting to share. It was 4 oz of a premium beef to go along with our entrees. Added $300 to the total bill. While it tasted great, it no where near justified that price. We were gobsmacked. Frankly would have rather just gotten two of the most expensive menu items. Long story short, DON’T order the specials unless you are willing to pay for it.

I’m having trouble reconciling some of the negative reviews. This place is fantastic. I do a good amount of fine dining and I can’t say enough. We ordered the large seafood platter and it was superb. From wine selection to desert and service.. I would definitely recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. The food is wonderful, seasoned to perfection, delicious. Bone-in rib eye, heirloom tomato & burrata salad, killer wine list. What made this meal even more memorable was the top of the line service. So attentive, but not overly so, they anticipated and listened to what we liked. The chef even came to the table to see how our meal was. Special shout out to our server Dominick (sp) and Daniel the sommelier. They were an amazing team!

The experience my two sister’s and I experienced was beyond exceptional… first our server’s James and Tony where simply amazing….my sister and I had ribeye which were grilled to perfection if you enjoy medium rare, my other sister’s Chilean sea bass melt in her mouth… this is the restaurant we plan to always visit on our trips to Las Vegas thank you for such a wonderful dinner and evening

There are many, many steak restaurants in Las Vegas. I have eaten at a number of them, usually on a work related thing, and was glad that the company was paying. The quality of some of the food that was well over $100 a person if you got salads and sides, wasn’t all that great. Scotch 80 is not cheap either but the food was excellent. We also received excellent service from our waiter. Both my friend and I ordered steaks. Both were cooked to perfection. We both ordered a starter salad as well. I had a Cesar and it was delicious. I would recommend this restaurant and I would definitely eat here again

This is a good steakhouse which has the potential to get better. Our bone-in steaks were delicious, the broccoli and steak frites sides were okay, the wine was lovely once it arrived, and the Manhattans were lovely though I would not go for the ultimate experience as it is quite expensive for Manhattans that could easily be made at the bar. My biggest issue was that our appetiser of short rib ravioli arrived before the wine we had ordered. The server did take my feedback that this was disappointing and shouldn't happen at a nice restaurant. All in all a good experience which hopefully will get better.

Terrible experience. We waited 45 minutes to receive any kind of service. 2+ hours for food delivery. Our steaks were overcooked, romaine in Caesar salad wilted. One steak was tough.

Overall: Come to Scotch 80 Prime for delicious food and quality wine selection. If you're a group of women, make sure to follow-up with the hostesses to ensure timely seating. Food: 5 stars. My group did the fixed shared menu. Our mains were chicken and steak with a side of asparagus. For dessert, we shared the cheese cake. Everything was cooked exceptionally, not overdone. Drinks 5 stars: They do off the menu cocktails. My drink was made to perfection and the wine selection is extensive including a bottle of Screaming Eagle. Service: 2-3 stars. The hostesses while all attractive are rude. Just because we don't have male genital doesn't' mean you should ignore us. The server took an incredibly long time to see what we needed and how we were doing yet was very responsive to the table of men next to us.

I chose this restaurant as I really wanted to check out the remodelled Palms. The dining room is beautiful with good natural light and an elegant long bar. All the staff we interacted with were superb. The food was great and comparable to other 'high-end ' steak houses on the Strip. Good wine menu and excellent value. Food overall was very good - the sides were all enormous.

This is the place to be! In my eyes, this is what Vegas is all about! Service was excellent, music is up-tempo,Food was to die for! There’s not a detailed it is missed in this restaurant! Truly the place to be.

From the moment we were seated to the moment we paid our bill this was one of my favourite dining experiences in Vegas. Outstanding service and advice from our waiter and a excellent ambience in the restaurant, with some great tunes playing in the background. I ordered the grass fed NY strip, which was cooked to perfection (pittsburgh style/black & blue) and my partner (who's vegetarian) ordered the cauliflower steak, which came complete with vegetables. We also ordered the creamed corn and pee wee potatoes as sides and I had the Scotch 80 steak sauce. All dishes were delicious and it goes down as my favourite steakhouse to date, not just in Vegas but worldwide. There was an extensive wine list with bottles to suit all budgets. We enjoyed the changes made to the Palms and will definitely be back in the future.

Our waiter, Luis, went above and beyond to make our dining experience one to remember! Definitely coming back here and requesting him. From the drink/food recommendations to his cheerful, upbeat demeanor, our trip to Vegas was made. Many thanks to him :)

The food was off the chain & Service was spot on, good price for high end steak house ...very beautiful place inside and out, the Palms is remolding to a top Notch Place to be.........

Where do I begin. Every woman that works there is super hot. Say what you will but as a diner at an expensive restaurant it makes a difference. Table side Manhattan or Old Fashion is a must. A MUST!! Steak tartar was amazing. Delmonico-cooked perfectly and AMAZING For us complementary was the gnocchi app and 2 deserts that were awesome. Btw the redone Palms is worth the visit.

From the moment our host Jorge greeted us to the dessert, it was amazing. The art work on the walls are worth coming for alone but the steak is incredible. People say sitting under a Basquiat and a Hirst doesn’t make meat taste better , those people are wrong. Hey, it is priced higher than Ruth’s Chris but you’re in Las Vegas, you can have McDonald’s when vacation is over!

We visit a lot of steak houses in Vegas. This was our first time here. The ratio of servers to patrons is good. The service was attentive but not overbearing. I had the best bourbon old fashioned ever here! The appetizers and mains were wonderful. A full wine list. The cocktails are prepared with care. Everything g was prepared to our liking and wonderfully presented. I would recommend this for a date night, special occasion or any excuse for a fine night out.

July 13 2019 birthday celebration of 3 people. Server rattled off "specials" in about 30 seconds and rushed us to order and was very abrupt. This was at 6pm with about four other tables of diners in entire restaurant - so no "rush crowd" by any means!!! No offer from a sommelier to choose a wine for dinner. Special Jack Daniels whiskey touted on website not available. Server offered no tasting of wine I ordered before she poured my glass & abruptly left. Poor selection of all wines, whiskeys, bourbons, never offered after-dinner brandy or digestif selections. No dessert menus offered. Filet mignon was tough and VERY salty, sent back & mgr. begrudgingly took off bill (I couldn't eat it!). Sirloin seemed ok, but not exceptional. Dover sole dried out & tasteless. Potato gnocchi was horrible! Potatoes Gratine dry and bland. Duck filling in ravioli was salty and dry, ravioli pasta was rubbery. Manager and server were dismissive of our complaints and rushed us out of restaurant after we complained. PLEASE DON'T GO THERE. I DON'T THINK THIS WAS "JUST A BAD NIGHT FOR THE COOK & SERVER." No one in our party minds paying the big bucks for great food & service, but this was a total waste of time and money. Even went home hungry, couldn't eat the food! Even host's choice to sit us at a table that had blinding angle of setting sun that lasted about 30 minutes didn't faze manager. In fact, he said he knew that sun blinded diners at our particular table every night but the restaurant couldn't figure out how to deal with the problem. WOW! Is that an idiot answer or what??? Ever hear of window drapes or blinds, Scotch 80???

We recently dined at Scotch 80 during this year's SHOTshow and although the restaurant was fairly busy, the service was top notch, with very attentive wait staff and great food (the RibCap was outstanding).

We ate at Scotch 80 last weekend and found it to be a real treat. The atmosphere and decor was beautiful and classy. The servers, waiters, hostesses were all young beautiful/handsome people... they all served wonderfully and provided a great experience. Loved the sommmelier as well. The wine we had was perfection. There were three of us and we each ordered a steak of choice and one side. We put the sides in the center and all shared them so we could experience more tastes. Everything was fantastic and the steaks were cooked exactly as asked. My only slightly negative comment reflects my age, and that was the volume and type of music. A bit too loud for good conversation for us 50 year olds, but I'm sure it appealed to the 30's crowd. Overall, a great place and I would return.

You won’t find a better experience in Las Vegas, note I say EXPERIENCE. The restaurant is incredible, the quality of the food awesome, there is nothing very good because everything is excellent, and then when you think this cannot be better… Oscar. He was our guide in this whole experience and there are no words to describe the level of the attention, knowledge, timing, etc, with Oscar you don’t even have to look at the menu anymore, just put yourself on his hands and he will make the best experience you ever had in a high-end restaurant. Last time I had an experience like this was in a 3 Michelin star establishment. Bar none, the best part of our visit to Las Vegas.

Being a newer restaurant, we had high hopes to enjoy a great high end and CLASSY Experience. Instead we got a rushed karaoke (bad) experience. Knowing we would pay in excess of US$700 for a meal for 4 people. We arrived at the establishment, which was pleasant and looked great. The first problem we encountered, there was no cloak room was available! That was our first alarm bell, for an establishment that sell wines and whiskey in the hundreds and thousand of $US dollars. ( a side note to the people that run this restaurant , people that have the money to spend $7,500 on a bottle of wine are not wearing $50 dollar coats) As we prepared to ordered, our waiter was very knowledgeable and also very friendly. We ordered starters, mains and wine . We received our wine which was amazing and also our starter. We had the steak tartare and although the steak tartare was very good the rest of the food on the plate was questionable, the pretzel and side rocket salad that came with the dish was way to salty to even ingest, and non of our party ate it. Our main problem didn’t start until we began receiving our mains, which were served before the last person in the party had even completed their starter! We requested that the mains be sent back, as no one wants to be rushed to eat their food, expecting a dining “experience “ we would have assumed that new steaks would be fired and then served, instead the same steaks were left under a heat lamp for 25-30 minutes until we were ready to have our main meal. This turned US$60 steaks into dried out diner meat. The restaurant went from being what was our initial though, “a higher end steak house” to a run of the mil karaoke joint, with the table next to us being so loud and signing at the tops of there lungs. We regret paying over $700US dollars in a place like this. (Don’t waste your money stick to cheap food on the strip) If you have high expectations on a dinning experience definitely don’t go here. Atmosphere was initially okay but become very tacky very quickly which is a shame with all the beautiful art work and whiskeys (the music playing was not suited) The food was “okay” (not $700 worth) , steaks are good (would have been better if fresh served) but not amazing. The food and service was rushed, if we didn’t send it back our dinning experience at this place would have been less then an hour long from start to finish. Overall experience was unimpressive would not go back or recommend.

Great restaurant with an amazing ambiance...my steak was cooked to perfection, service was top notch thanks to Ernesto our waiter. The entire staff made my birthday extra special. A must go to restaurant while in Vegas

First time dining at Scotch 80 and the experience was fantastic. Luis was an amazing host and took great care of us. The food was delicious and service was prompt and consistent. Will definitely come here again.

This place rocks from start to finish... exceptional quality. Lite quantities..... very good. Service rocked it. Even escorted you to the bathroom. Oh my goodness. Great night we will be back.

My new favorite, wonderful execution of a tremendous menu. The drinks are great as well. Very good shrimp cocktail also.

This is a great steak wine and whiskey place !!!!! There is a bar area w a lot of space. Long long list of cocktails, wine and whiskey - just like the best of Las Vegas steak places. I live in Vegas and am so glad the Palms has been updated in general and Scotch 80 didn’t disappoint. We had steak tartare, bison steak 8 ounces with foie gras, broccoli rab and it was amazing. For whiskey - we ventured out and tried the Indian whiskey which was interesting. A little sweet but good. They do have wagyu beef and Grade A Kobe beef at 4 ounce min. The Kobe will be my next order because I will be back!!!!

Thank you so much Kisha B for the amazing service and recommendations! The steak tartare and the wagyu were 10/10 We’ll be back soon!

Unbelievable Food and Drinks from the Old Fashion Made at your Table to the Really nice card and dessert they sent out to my girlfriend for her Birthday. Nice Touch ..The Service and Staff are top Notch

The place is a beautiful! Great new renovations. Great vibe and great service from the staff. The problem is the food...mediocre. My steak was dry and the salad was over dressed.

Scotch 80 delivers a very good experience. The food is excellent. The service is impeccable. The whiskey selection is arguably the best in all of Las Vegas. You absolutely cannot go wrong by dining at Scotch 80 if you love great steaks and whiskey. I have visited twice now. First in October 2018 shortly after it had opened, and again in March 2019. Value being a relative term, anyone looking for amazing steaks and whiskey knows they are going to spend money. Scotch 80 flat out delivers. Eddie and Shelby at the bar are top notch.

We had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant. From the table side Manhattan or Old Fashion to the table side homemade ice cream for the banana split, this is a dining event like no other. Chef Barry has created a truly lovely experience for locals and tourists. Our server, Dominic, was exceptional and everyone we encountered was enthusiastic and knowledgeable in a way that showcases their pride in this restaurant. The food was, in a word, outstanding. We will definitely be returning!

Some of the best food in town. I've eaten French Onion Soup all over the world and they by far, have the BEST French onion soup. Staff is very educated on Scotches and the personalized cocktail cart is a must do during dinner.

One of the new offerings in the Palms hotel, this is a worthy replacement for 9ine Steakhouse. The remodel is very modern and chic. Ambient noise wasn’t too loud for table conversation, but might have been worse with a fuller room. Service was appropriately attentive with a shout out to waiter Mark who was knowledgeable and friendly. Menu is a good mix of steaks and fish with traditional sides. Try the cauliflower au gratin. The crab cocktail had nice chunks but a bit pricey for the portion. A pre-order discussion with Mark re: the Dover sole led to an unexpected visit by Chef Barry who stayed for a nice chat. Chef is a holdover from 9ine and several other places. Speaks to the enduring value of local chefs vs. the big name chef restaurants where the name is never there. The sole muniere was indeed tasty and well prepared as were the salmon and steaks. Presentations were simple. Main courses range from $40-$80. Wine list seemed excessively price inflated, but some decent options under $100. The most creative dishes were the desserts. The chocolate peanut butter pretzel was yummy. Banana sundae involved table made ice cream with variety of toppings. Only negative was busboy who forgot to include steak leftover in bag, but was there when we returned minutes later. We would return for an off-Strip option where parking is free.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary with dinner at Scotch 80 and we had an amazing time along with great food and wonderful service. Oscar took great care of us. Aside from being professional, Oscar took the time to explain the menu, specials and offered great suggestions. His support staff are to be commended as well. What a great team! We are Las Vegas locals and it gives us great pleasure to name Scotch 80 as a favorite restaurant to dine in Las Vegas. The Palms is lucky to have them. We are already recommending this restaurant to our family, friends, and visitors. Thank you Oscar and team!! We hope that you choose Scotch 80 as a favorite dining destination.

Went with a group after a business meeting. Service was good. Promptly checked in and wait staff very attentive. However the food was average at best and for the price, there are so many places in Vegas that serve a much better steak.

Don't waste your time or money! Was looking forward to an elegant meal on Saturday, July 13th and was HIGHLY disappointed. Not only was the service abrupt but the food and even the sides were the quality of supermarket freezer food.

This place was so wonderful! Luis was our server and was very attentive and made wonderful recommendations. We ordered too much food… and tried to finish what we could. The filet had a beautiful sear and the scallops were divine. They treated us to some desert for our anniversary which was welcome but unexpected! Thanks for making our anniversary that much more special. We will be back for sure.

The renovation and investment paid off. The new layout works much better and the bar area is great. If going to the Palms for a show or concert, this is the place to eat. I o lay have it 4 stars because some of the sides didn’t wow us. The creamed corn was ok, nothing special. Same with the Mac n cheese. The steak was cooked great. The jumbo shrimp were very good. The bar menu is much expanded with some great scotch and bourbons. Service at the bar can be slow if you need to get a drink before the reservation. We will go back if heading to the Palms for a concert or show.

Amazing Food and Service Ric (Captain) best server we have had in Vegas!!!!!!!! Please ask for him when you visit Scotch Prime.

Had dinner at Scotch Prime located in the Palms hotel and casino. It was an absolute top notch dinner and the service was very friendly and out of this world. Would highly recommend this restaurant when in Las Vegas. Can’t say enough about the dinner. It was a little pricey but was worth every penny

We celebrated my friend’s birthday there & it was outstanding. The food was superb & the service was exceptional👍the manager & the chef are very engaging as well as accommodating. Best steak house, easy access & away from the strip. Will be back again to enjoy the fabulous service.

Hip place to grab a bite. Upbeat music to get in the mood before going out. Phenomenal Scotch selection. Good red wines.

I was dining alone and the server Marco made me feel like I was as important as any other table. He brought me an incredible tuna carpaccio that was to die for! The lobster bisque was like none that I've tasted, had some interesting spices in it, a refreshing twist to the traditionally heavy cream ones. I was thrilled that they carried Bison (this is usually the meat I pick when cooking at home and so rare to find when dining out!) and I ordered the filet. I'll be honest, it did not taste like bison, more like beef, but unlike many steakhouses, it was cooked the way I like on the first try! I didn't get a chance to comment on this to the server because it started getting busy. The banana bread pudding was out of sight. Overall, this place was pricey as most places are on the strip, but that's to be expected. Service was top notch, not pretentious. My main complaint is that it was almost unbearably loud in there. I will return though!

Came here for my wife’s birthday and the food and service from Luis was amazing. Tomahawk steak was probably the best we’ve had living in Vegas 20+ years. Sides, apps, and drinks were all top notch. Definitely recommended and will have to come back sometime soon.

A must dining experience. Recommend the flaming Seafood Tower as a starter. Baked Scotch Onion and Lobster Bisque soups are amazing! Steaks melt in your mouth. Great wine and whiskey selection.

First time at Scotch 80 and have to say everything was great. Service both table and Scotch Sommelier was spot on. Great menu options and execution was On target! Ambiance and vibe were awesome- a little hard to here. We will be back!

Vegas has turned into more of a destination for us to have a great meal. N9ne was always a go to place for us and it is closed now. So we searched around and heard that it’s replacement was very good so we set ok. We walked in and it was a warmer environment than its predecessor. You could feel the same great energy as before so we were excited. The food was outstanding and the desert was over the top. I left asking for them to “sneak” a little extra in our to go box! We are looking forward to returning for another great meal!!!

Came to Scotch 80 with family for the first time while in town last week. We had heard so many great things, but it truly exceeded our expectations!! Rick was more than just our server that night! First, he gave us an amazing tour of the menu, complete with fantastic recommendations...our mouths were definitely watering by the end of it. Then he made sure that everything was cooked perfectly and we never had to ask for anything...it was magically appeared before the words could even leave our brains. And lastly, he was kind enough to act as our Las Vegas concierge that night too! He gave us tons of ideas for new experiences and things see in the city that we might not have found on our own in such a short amount of time. The food was amazing on all fronts, especially the lobster tail centerpiece. My mouth is watering now just thinking about all of the dishes we tried. When Noah delivered our meal he explained everything in detail....we couldn't wait to dig into those beautiful dishes! Oh, and the tableside desserts are a site to behold...love that old school touch. Our daughter loved the Smores. The staff walked us to the restroom when needed, replaced our napkins whenever we got up, and kept our glassed full. Again, love those old school details! First class experience all the way around! Will definitely recommend to friends and family when they visit and will be revisting when we return

I ordered a bone in Prime Rib Eye. This was not a prime steak and I regret I didn't send it back. With all of the great steak houses in Las Vegas this is not one of them!

This place has all the characteristics in place to become the best steakhouse in Vegas. Went there twice during our stay and enjoyed every minute of it. Bone in Ribeye , Chilled Seafood, Dover Sole , Lobster Bisque, Mac & Cheese w Truffles are all to die for. Don’t forget to stop by Also there’s a great vibe!!

This was a terrible experience, was my Aunt's birthday we flew out from Denver was looking forward to eating here. Started with my Aunt asking about a good white she was totally blown off. Next had Duck Ravioli which was excellent, then the lobster bisque was bland at best, Aunt ordered steak which was way to salty, girlfriend ordered Dover sole swear you could heat Gordon's frozen fish that would have been better, had potato gnocchi which hands down was the worst part of the meal. The manager came over and said would take my Aunts steak off the check but instead took my cheaper steak off. I have and will continue to tell everyone how bad this place is.

This is a wonderful, and modern restaurant! The waiters were very attentive, the drinks and food delivered quickly. I had the lobster bisque, and it was decent, but I would not get it again. I split the Delmonico with my coworker, and it was tasty. The steak fries were hot and well seasoned! The fingerling potato’s with garlic were super tasty, and the peanut butter chocolate pie was fabulous!!

Originally I went the August and it was “Stupid Good”. Read below. And I meant that. I’ve been back 3x since. In 3 visits half of the meals of everyone I was with have had temperature issues. HALF! Under cooked. Over cooked. This is a problem. This place is beautiful! Millions and millions of dollars in art. You can’t cook a medium rare steak!! I wasn’t going to post this but I’m so disappointed. Scotch 80 is being put in a 6 month time out. Hopefully management reads this and focuses on this clearly systemic issue in their kitchen. Note I did not send my last raw Delmonico steak back as I was in a business meeting and it’s wasn’t the right time to do this but one of my guests did as their filet was cooked to a hockey puck. August review: Where do I begin.

Scotch 80 is back at the Palm Resort. Amazing steaks & seafood. Excellent service & wonderful atmosphere. We had a fun dinner & a lovely evening because of the outstanding service we received.

The food here was really outstanding and that alone would take us back - hey, it's a restaurant after all! My wife and I both chose to go for 2 starters instead of starter and main, and we were both very happy with our choices. The lobster soup was one of the best I've ever had in a lifetime of fine dining and the scallops were perfect. Service was extremely good and basically everything was good, except . . . The music was both loud and rocky and seemed ill at ease with the mood of the place. Perhaps in the bar you could forgive it (though I'm less inclined to forgive the 60" TV screens showing sports in a fine dining restaurant) but the restaurant area also had the same music. If it were my place I'd be playing some chill/ lounge music perhaps, but spandex rock is all wrong with lobster bisque. Call me old fashioned . . .

I've lived here for 5 years now and have not visited Scotch 80. After Palms reopened this year, my best friend and I decided to check out this fine dining restaurant for my birthday. The experience from start to finish was exceptional. I even got a birthday card from the entire Scotch 80 family. What restaurant signs a card for you? Luis was our server and his service was excellent. He made our time here an unforgettable experience, especially for my birthday. We enjoyed every minute. Thank you so much for the hospitality and being so personable. Definitely recommend 10/10.

The place is completely re-done and is absolutely gorgeous!! The food prepared by Chef Barry and his team is out of the park great!! The staff from the Front desk to all the waiters and waitresses , including the bus men are extremely talented and humbled to have you as a guest. I was there opening night and it was a testament to Chef Barry and all his labor of love with cooking that proved that it is becoming the premier Steakhouse in Las Vegas. I was there Friday night with the family and the place was jumping , great vibe , great staff, and great people. Chef Barry made us feel welcomed and at home. If you get the chance visit Scotch 80 Prime....its the spot you wont regret visiting!!

Irresistible!!!!! From the ambience , host, servers, waitress drinks and FOOD!! Absolutely no complaints!!! We had the shrimp for appetizer, then our main course - lamb chops and rib cut. The sides were Mac and cheese (unbelievably incredible) and grilled asparagus ( who makes asparagus taste that good???😆) Dessert was the "to die for"warm butter toffee cake with ice cream😳 The server's and waitress were extremely knowledgeable about every dish and drinks which made it easier to choose! As you can see, I'll be BACK!!!

I come in to Vegas several times a year and I am slowly making my way around the steakhouses around the city. Scotch Prime has been on our short list for quite some time and I we finally had a free night to hit it up. The wine was recommended by the wait staff and it was exceptional. The food was overall very very good. The bummer was that I wanted the bone-in-filet and it was out of stock at 6:30 on Friday afternoon. I had the ribeye and it was not what I wanted that night. The table in the center was also a high top table and it's not really uncomfortable but it was not as comfortable as it could of been. It was a nice meal, I just really wanted a great meal.

Although Scotch 80 Prime has yet to achieve the acclaim of its predecessor, a recent change at the top suggests big things are coming, longtime N9NE Steakhouse Chef Barry Dakake’s departure making way for Daniel Ontiveros while the Pastry program has already been overhauled by former Andre’s and Alize star Tammy Alana. Now part of Sin City’s culinary landscape for nearly fourteen months, The PALMS “From Dust to Gold” revamp since yielding Vetri Cucina, Kaos, Mabel’s and more, it is at the Casino’s east end that guests will find the Steakhouse lined in art and scantily clad ladies, the former from names like Hirst and Basquiat and the latter pouring drinks in dresses that seemingly defy the laws of physics. Undoubtedly built to be beautiful, gold and marble the room’s dominant elements beyond all the paintings, it was shortly after seating in a plush booth that servers stopped by, water and Coffee both provided and continually kept full as Aerosmith played overhead at modest volume. Visited next by PALMS Executive Chef Steve Barr, he and Daniel currently working the kitchen and exploring new ideas for an upcoming menu change, it was not long before Chef Tammy stopped by to describe her approach to Scotch 80, a total of ten items including three hold-overs from Thomas Bell who departed on good terms to pursue other opportunities. Served in two courses, the first all of Chef Alana’s new additions, guests were immediately challenged with where to start, a distaste for melted Ice Cream inevitably suggesting the elegant Strawberry Rhubarb Crostata perfumed by Orange Blossoms followed by the soon-to-be signature “Scotch & Cigar” that riffs on the idea of Tiramisu with developed notes of smoke in the glass and a crispy Cocoa stogie intended to be dunked like a Cookie. Catering to less-adventurous palates with classic Crème Brûlée, the elongated form a throwback to Tammy’s days fifty-six floors above and just as delicious, fans of Chocolate will also not be let down by Layer Cake featuring moist Sponge and smooth Ganache given added texture by Pastry shards plus a glass of Vanilla Milk to tame the richness. Lighter by way of seasonal Sorbet, the Guava particularly impressive, Chef Bell’s sizable Chocolate Peanut Butter Cream Pie next found itself re-imagined as Blueberry Cheesecake brightened by Citrus while guests avoiding all Animal products will be fortunate to indulge in an Almond Coconut Tart topped with Mango cut like a flower by Blackberries from Harry’s family farm in California. Wise to keep Banana Bread Pudding and Butter Toffee Cake, both served warm and sharable for just $12, the tableside show of “Fire & Ice” Banana Split will set diners back 3x more to witness a bit of modernist technique, though this time moreso than prior the base was satin-smooth while the addition of Hot Fudge plus Salty Caramel Sauce made a big difference in addition to the other “Fun Toppings.” FIVE STARS (DESSERT, SCENE AND SERVICE): Although Scotch 80 Prime debuted strong in May of 2018 the menu has been slow to change, a Chef shuffle surely part of the reason but the hiring of Andre's Pastry maven Tammy Alana already offering guests a great reason to visit while a savory revamp from Chefs Steve Barr and Daniel Ontiveros is soon to follow.

My wife, son and I had dinner at Scotch 80 Prime on a short visit to Las Vegas a few weeks ago. We had not visited the Palms during past trips and decided to visit Scotch 80 as a newer restaurant. Service was high end with just the right amount of attention paid throughout the visit and a server who knew the menu in every regard. The food was fantastic. We sampled several of the starters including the Hamachi, Steak Tartare and Ribeye Ravioli, each of which we thoroughly enjoyed. Though it is a steakhouse, I had the Dover Sole which had wonderful flavor and was satisfying in every regard. Others in the group had the bone in ribeye and New York strip, both of which had tremendous taste and were cooked as ordered. I highly recommend Scotch 80 - I don’t give too many five star reviews, though this restaurant deserves that rating. One note, this restaurant opened recently and it is definitely the place for those who want to see and be seen. We had a 7:00 p.m. reservation and it was closer to 7:30 before being seated. I was started to chafe a bit at the delay, though once seated, the meal and service made up for the seating delay.

The Scotch 80 Prime is a fairly new restaurant at the Palms and has a trendy-with-an-edge feel. The décor is modern, and the vibe is definitely hip. This is undeniably a place you want to belly up at the bar for a drink before dinner, which is exactly what we did. I ordered a cucumber martini, and it was made to perfection (not too sweet-thank you bartender!). The restaurant is fairly large, so plenty of seating and people watching to be had. I love Vegas people watching! The wine list here is ENORMOUS so if you are a wine coinsure like me, this is a great place to be. The menu has a great deal to choose from, from steak to vegan entrees. For dinner I ordered the “J” Salad and Sea Scallops. I’m a sucker for scallops. Both were delicious and cooked to perfection! My husband ordered the filet mignon, which was also cooked to his liking. Dinner was divine and the service was impeccable. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.

So impressed with beautiful renovation throughout the hotel. The bar has great decor, incredible artwork, and lovely bartenders. We appreciate their creativity and accommodating our group with yummy mocktails, too. Don't miss their very impressive Scotch collection. Every course presented was perfectly executed and picture perfect. The Spazz salad was a huge favorite. The Prime Delmonico Steak and all the sides were terrific. We loved butterscotch pudding dessert - "Best Three Way". Thank you so much for wonderful service and a memorable dining experience.

Servers were elegantly dressed. Everyone was attentive and accommodating. A very large variety of scotch, and the cocktails were great. The food was very well presented and tasted amazingly. A very pleasant surprise in Las Vegas. We will go back.

What a great place to have cocktails and dinner, they have a wonderful selections of appetizers and tasty main course dinners we shared a Rib Eye stake that was cooked to our liking and the baked potato tasted like it just came out of the garden. Our server was well informed on the restaurant and it's selection of whisky. I would highly recommend Scotch 80 Prime
Great All Round
The food and the service were amazing. The staff really took care of our group. The steaks were cooked to perfection and some of the sides were off the charts. Their tots will melt in your mouth. Highly suggest those and their mac and cheese.
