My husband and I ate here for a rehearsal dinner. The parents of the groom had rented the entire restaurant for the night. Therefore, we didn't order off the menu. Everything was brought to us. We were served a full array of food from salad. homemade bread and plates of olives to gnocchi in a spinach sauce, penne in a vodka cream sauce, eggplant and grilled chicken with mushrooms and a plate of vegetables including string beans and peas. Dessert was a flourless chocolate cake. It was all delicious. The service was very good also. Instead of serving family style and leaving the plates of food on the tables the waiters came around and served everyone asking how much you wanted of each dish. This way the food wasn't sitting on the table getting cold. Since we are from out-of-town I don't know if we'll ever get to return but my husband and I agreed that we would be happy to come back for a regular dinner.

We found this by accident and looked up the reviews online. Mostly positive except for the occasional complaint of the staff. We had no problem. The staff was wonderful and funny. Very inexpensive brunch Saturday & Sundays. Food is very good and the aren't joking with the endless Mimosas. Every few sips the refill your glass. You definitely ned reservations on the weekend. If in Park Slope, make sure to stop by.

Absolutely atrocious, never been to a worse place. Management/staff had no clue what was going on/had no decency to apologise. We were waiting for over an hour and a half and in the end we left. A lady said if we waited over 10 minutes then we'd get drinks on the house, yet 100 minutes later, nothing. Not worth a visit, go to other lovely places in the same neighbourhood

The food was good, but I expected a more NY italian dining experience. I suppose the restaurant is trying to be different and offer a more modern approach to traditional cooking, but the experience was good overall. The bar was difficult as it is in the middle of the restaurant and does not offer with comfort, the oppertunity to have a pre-dinner/post-dinner cocktail. Overall good experience though.

Scottadito is a wonderful restaurant for hosting a private party. We held my daughter's bridal shower and wedding rehearsal dinner there in their beautiful wine cellar. The food was amazing and the service was impeccable (they even helped me arrange flowers in vases for the bridal shower)! The atmosphere in the wine cellar is so beautiful with lots of wine bottles and exposed wood beams. The food was very plentiful with lots of flavor and was cooked to perfection. There homemade pastas are out of this world. Lusine was an absolute delight to work with from beginning to end. Thank you Lusine for everything. We will be back for your wonderful Sunday Brunch soon.

What a find! My husband and I enjoyed a superb champagne Sunday brunch at this cozy restaurant. Our waiter was helpful and attentive. The meal was leasurely, plentiful, and the champagne glasses were always full. We highly recommend this gem.

So glad that I found this place. One of my all time favorite boozy brunch discoveries. Located on a busy block in Park Slope this delightful Italian spot doesn't look like your typical boozy brunch establishment at first glance. Beautiful rustic interiors and a live fireplace give the restaurant a pretty classy feel. They even have a lower level which feels like a wine cellar to accommodate private events and large parties. Brunch is $25 a pop for an entrée and unlimited mimosas or champagne for about 90 minutes. The offerings consisted of a variety of a egg preparations, a few salads, a few types of pasta and some other brunch classics like French toast. I was quite tempted to try out one of the egg based dishes but ultimately decided to go with the spinach gnocchi and was throughly delighted that I did. The house made gnocchi was rolled in a spinach based dough as opposed to a potato based one and it made all the difference when paired with the mimosas as we didn't feel like it was bloating us up. The mimosas themselves were pretty good and our wonderful server Gina ensured that our glasses were always full. They also had a range of brunch cocktails for $5 which looked promising and which I will surely return to try. All the staff at the restaurant right from the hostess to all the servers were exceedingly friendly and hospitable and they absolutely enhanced an already lovely experience. I will definitely be back here for brunch and for other meals as well.

We were visiting our daughter who attends SUNY Brooklyn Med School, and made reservations for 5 here. We asked to sit by the fireplace. We were seated at a round table right by the door, at first not what we preferred but this did not affect our dining experience. Like many restaurants, the buildings are long and narrow- the inside was very beautiful with red brick and rich wood all over providing a warm feel. The Italian food and wine was excellent, we had a very memorable time here. There is outdoor seating, but we preferred inside on a cold December night. They had a gathering in the back, and we were not able to see the back, but read the restaurant puts on a great event. We would be back for sure, but like to visit as many places as we can when we visit the city.

Good but not excellent. A nice neighborhood place, nothing fancy but consistently good food. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I love going here even though the food could be more exciting, I still like my neighbor Italian!

Enjoyed brunch here in the past, so reserved again since we would be in Park Slope for Mother's Day. Disappointed in the "special menu", as the prices were about double from what we had paid for brunch before.. Food was good, but pricey. Also we felt that the mimosas had been watered down for the occasion. We had requested the atrium with our reservation, but were told that we would have to wait 20 minutes for a table there. Chose to wait, and were seated in about 5 minutes. There were numerous empty tables there so I don;t know what the problem was. This was good the first time but would now hesitate to go back knowing they take advantage of the customer when they know you can't walk away. If they had posted their "Special Mother's Day menu", I would have known I was going to be price gouged and taken my business elsewhere.

This Tuscan farmhouse in Park Slope never disappoints. Our meal in December was sensational and our meal here last week even better. We were a group of eight and we opted for plates of shared appetizers . The cold plates were packed with Prosciutto, Bufalo Mozzarella, Peppers, and other fine items. The hot plate included small pizzettes, shrimp, eggplant and peppers. Our group opted for various entrees. They did not have fresh clams as I wanted spaghetti and clams, but Chef Rafael accommodated me with a wonderful house made pasta with mussels in a seafood sauce. My wife enjoyed Pappadalle with a selection of various mushrooms, Portobello, Cremini and others. Of particular note my nephew enjoyed a dish of broiled and blackened scallops which were so delicious I cajoled him into giving me a couple. Deserts were varied with tarts, tiramisu, flourless cakes, and our favorite panna cotta. Scottoditto also has a large weekend brunch following in the neighborhood and serves a prix lunch with items such as chicken parm, eggplant terrine. We did opt for lunch one afternoon and it was well worth the price, my wife having a hanger steak done nicely and me chicken Scottoditto for an unbelievable $15 including a glass of wine. You can't go wrong at Scottoditto.

A must visit while in Brooklyn, NY. Excellent food offerings presented by a well trained, professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff that work together as a well oiled machine. Cozy and romantic ambiance reminiscent of the best restaraunts in Tuscany, Italy. The owner Donald was on premises welcoming all guests and periodically stopping at customer's tables to make sure all is well. He makes his customers feel special and as though they were invited to his home to share a great meal. He truly appreciates that diners chose his eatablishment.

We celebrated a friend's birthday here with Sunday brunch, and had a great experience. Technically the brunch has a time limit, and service was accordingly brisk (all of our food was impressively fast). However, our waiter never pushed us to leave, and we actually stayed for almost 3 hours. The food was excellent, I highly recommend the frittata. Great bottomless mimosas or prosecco. Very enjoyable overall, and reasonably priced!

We went for brunch. The food was very good, but I found the service rushed and the menu very limited for brunch, even more than the standard lunch menu. The portions were also very small for the cost. Seems like the brunch is designed to have a few items and move people in and out as quickly as possible. The menu actually states that no sitting over 1.5h allowed. On the plus side, they do accept reservations for brunch. I'd definitely like to go back for dinner or lunch on a non-brunch day. A lot of the menu looked really good, but was unfortunately not available.

We went for New Year's Eve and enjoyed a wonderful prix fixe menu. We started with jumbo tiger shrimp with sriracha aioli (amazing!) and burrata with grilled eggplant & beefsteak tomato (excellent). For mains, we had the risotto scampi (tiger shrimp and leeks) and wild mushroom ravioli with truffles and brown butter sage sauce. Both were incredible! We had a carafe of pinot grigio, which was very good. Their panna cotta with raspberry coulis finished off the meal nicely. Their decaf cappuccinos were also excellent. We're glad they survived the pandemic and are still serving the neighborhood!

My family and I ate at Scottadito's on a busy Saturday night (reservations recommended) and were not disappointed. The restaurant itself was a bit crowded in the front area where we were seated but wasn't to much of a problem. The service is efficient and pleasant. I had one of the specials and my family ordered pasta dishes and we were all pleased with the result. Prices were a bit high but you're in the NYC area (we're from LA) so that's what you get! I would certainly eat here again on our next visit and would encourage you to do so as well. Enjoy.

I came here yesterday for brunch with my mother and 5 year old daughter. What a great find! My mother got the gnocchi with spinach, I had eggs Benedict with prosciutto and pesto, and my daughter had, what she described as, "the best French toast ever". The children's menu had french toast with Nutella and caramalized bananas. The brunch was a really good deal - $19.95, which included unlimited champagne or mimosas. I noticed that the restaurant was full, and people tended to linger at their tables. Overall, a great place and I would return in the future.

I was scammed. I tried to support a local restaurant. On the website it says they offer a free bottle of wine if you order directly. I then proceeded to click the link (directly from their website) to order. The link did not open Gub Hub but they refused to act with integrity and provide the bottle of wine. They claimed I ordered from grub hub. I called and they refused to help me. The food was also bland and not worth the price.

Great food , decor and service! There was 7 people in our party and everyone enjoyed their choices! Will definitely return!

I went for a surprise 40th birthday party. We congregated in the wine room downstairs and had the room to ourselves. We were a group of 30 or so and the staff at Scottadito were tremendous. The nicest and friendliest was the hostess, she was very sensitive to the fact that it was a surprise. The food was sensational, as was the wine. Great night overall and I will definately go back again.

Tried this place last week on Tuesday, surprisingly was pretty busy for 6pm, was nicely greeted. We tried grilled octopus ( polito alla griglia)which was one of the best i ve tried, good fresh Caterina salad, excellent and simply delicious pasta with truffle oil/brie/pastrami (Tagliatelle Al Brie) !! Very good yellowfin tuna was the special. Food was definitely 10/10. Nice decor, but felt stuffy in the first section as you enter were we got seated. Atrium in the back seems to have lots of light and there was a party there. One thing to mention waiter service was ok, he seems not to be very familiar w specials and just not sharp...

We booked a table for 7 (Confirmation #: 276862123) on 14th November 2015 for New Years Eve as we were coming over from England and needed to rely on somewhere to eat on a busy night. (New Year's Eve). We arrived at 9:20pm for our 9:30pm booking and joined a long line of other potential diners waiting for their tables. The owner told us we would be seated in 20 minutes maximum or she would get us a round of drinks "on the house". We had to wait outside for a while as there wasn't even standing room. Talking to other diners (who were seated) we were told that getting your order taken and any food or drink was taking "a real long time" - even once you got seated. Another couple I got talking to had booked a table for 2 just the previous evening and were also one of the many "waiting". A table for 4 in the door way eventually came free at 10:20p.m. (an hour after arrival!) and we were offered to be squeezed in around this - a wait a bit longer for a proper table that could seat us. We did agree to this but after another 10 minutes we gave up and went home - food and drinks would still have been hour(s) away and had lost all trust in the owner and the evening was ruined. We all know NYE is a very busy night and that a restaurant needs to "be cut some slack " - but here are the issues: - you need to set exit times for tables on busy nights if you are taking later bookings for that table i.e. have 2 seatings - if you offer a complimentary drink whilst to diners whilst they are having to wait then provide it. - don't take more bookings than it is physically possible to accommodate! The owner told me that she has no control over internet bookings and they all just come in and get confirmed. I find this hard to believe as most booking systems work on the basis on what they are told is available. - if you have got lots of customers waiting for tables then the owner (maitre d') needs to be proactive and going round looking to provide a solution. We had, over the 1 hour 20 mins of waiting to do all the chasing. A really negative experience that the management did nothing about to try and resolve or manage.

We chose this restaurant based on Tripadvisor reviews. The olive starter using imported Italian olives was so delicious (and not too salty) and home made pasta dishes we chose were exceptional - one with prosciutto (?) arugula and truffle oil, and the other, the special with crab meat. For our 5 weeks in New York City this is the only restaurant we plan to go back to. We have booked again for this Saturday. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful.

This is a nice little neighborhood gem of a place that's long and narrow with dining in front and back. All the exposed brick adds charm and the friendly, attentive service makes you feel very welcome. The food is extremely fresh and flavored perfectly. Very nice wine selection. We were so impressed with our dinner that we had to go back the next day for lunch. The prices and portions are reasonable. This is a must visit when you're in Park Slope.

After a busy Black Friday We enjoy a delightful dinner at Scottadito Osteria Toscana. As visitors from Maui we craved an Italian menu with charming atmosphere. Our daughter who lives in the neighborhood suggested this nearby establishment. It was the perfect place to enjoy the lovely ambiance, warm up by the crackling fireplace and savory the delicious tastes of Italy The menu was diverse enough for our picky eaters and the wine menu extensive Definitely a spot we will return to! Excellent service and great value!

We've been eating their fare for the past 4 years. Wonderful dinners, memorable brunches, great lunches. Service, like food quality, is consistently good. When we could not make it there, we'd have our favorites delivered.

We had a lovely meal here on a relatively quiet Tuesday night. The service was good, our waiter was slightly sarcastic fun in the NYC way that I totally appreciate! The atmosphere is pretty homey, but I found the chairs a bit uncomfortable after awhile. A little cushioning on them and the benches would be nice. Drinks were good, but there was apparently a $5 Happy Hour cocktail list that we weren't given when seated. The waiter discovered it after it was too late, so he comp'd my coffee in an attempt to make up for it. That was nice. Good wine list also and then Lemoncello after the meal on-the-house. The meal was delicious. The Caprese Salad was fresh made with a good splash of balsamic. My pasta, Bucatini Carbonara, (that I choose to have vegetarian without the Guanciale) was delicious, served al dente with lots of yummy sauce. My cousin had the Pappardelli Fungi and I guess it was good since there wasn't a single bite left! The portions are not huge for the price so this is definitely a slightly higher than average meal cost, but it was really good. Sadly, that also meant no leftovers to take home!

To all lovers of Italy this restaurant is a must. It reminds me so much of my house in Tuscany. Beamed ceilings, the raised fire places and the authentic dining tables. From the moment we walked in we felt so comfortable. In brief, great Italian cuisine, great tasting food with 5* US customer service. Fantastic experience, one which I have repeated and will continue to repeat. A big thank you to all concerned.

Not exactly ideal service, and we've been placed outside on cold days but they do good food, especially pizza/bread-based stuff. Prices very good for lunches too.

Great little cosy authentic italian restaurant. The owner Rafael who is in love with food, personaaly made some special dishes for us. Definitely try the eggplant, awesome. Great little place to go with friends, family or romantically. Reasonable price. And don't forget his tiramisu!! Ancora delizioso!!!

Nice cozy restaurant with authentic Italian food. Friendly staff. We had a good meal for a reasonable price considering it is still New York (Brooklyn). Sure there are places that have more refined dishes but surely a good choice if you want a decent Italian meal in a friendly environment without being uptight.

My wife and I had a wonderful meal tonight. This is a nice little restaurant with a front and back section and a bar. Service was very good. We had a nice friendly greeting upon arrival and were seated promptly. The menu had plenty of great options. They also had specials. There was a nice wine list too. We both had pasta. It was fantastic. They gave us homemade limoncello. And it was delicious. Enjoy.

We started by making an 8:45 reservation and we weren't seated until 9:10. They were polite and apologized but not that crowded and clearly didn't have a table ready for us. Strike One. Then the waiter was rather slow and not very efficient, we had to ask for the bread basket after being seated for 20 minutes and once we finally placed our order it took awhile to get our food. Strike2 long wait. Then there was tremendous confusion with the bill and took another 15 minutes to situate. Strike 3. It's really quite unfortunate because the food was good, but we won't be back. Everyone is allowed to make mistakes but this service was poor.

At our table, there were mixed review on the food. Some dishes like the octopus appetizer and sea food stew were very good. However, the pasta dishes tended to be bland. The service was very bad. They force you to give a 20% tip for tables with 6 or more and certainly, the waiter didn't have to actually earn his tip. Overall experience was OK. But not good enough for us to return.

Scottadito is a great place for dinner, brunch, or a party. The restaurant has a warm rustic charm, with rough hewn timber beams, exposed brick, and fireplace. Downstairs there's a private dining room wine cellar perfect for a small party or intimate dinner. I always enjoy the homemade pasta with ragu of duck, boar, or turkey. Main dishes include a great hangar steak, amazing roast chicken, and a variety of fish. I had a great short rib last time I ate there. It was slow cooked for 24 hours. Delicious and a huge portion. The chef, Rafa, recently appeared on the TV show Chopped where he narrowly lost in the final round.

My husband and I used to eat at Scottadito fairly frequently, but with the proliferation of new restaurants in Park Slope, we hadn't been there for a few years. We went back this evening and were not disappointed! The food, service, and ambiance were all excellent. We shared the insalata di Kim, which was very tasty. I had the salmon wrapped in grilled zucchini (perfectly cooked) with sweet potato chips and beet chips. My husband had the chicken casserole with sausage, mushrooms, red pepper, and onions, and roast potatoes. Both entrees were delicious. For dessert we shared the creme brulee. His decaf cappuccino was excellent. To top it off, there was complimentary limoncello. We will definitely be back soon!

Great friendly service (seated our 4 immediately with reservations) and phenomenal food. Fettuccine Zafferano Frutti Di Mare with lump crap, scallops, clams, mussels, tiger prawns, and a branzino (sea bass) filet in a spicy saffron broth. Stunningly good. Wife had egg plant parm, and son had a variation on the fish stew. Daughter had Pappardelle Ai Fungi with wild mushrooms ragout and truffle oil. Dessert was a pistachio gelato. We agreed this was one of the best Italian dinners we’ve had, and we’ve had a few. Not a cheap night out, but not unexpected considering the ambience and the wonderful food.

We went here for a wedding. The restaurant looks like it was tranported from Europe. The food was excellen. We were served both the appitizers and manin courses. The appitizers were too numerous to list entirely but the pasta and pesto was the best we had. They also had smoked salmon and two types of meat balls. The main course I had was the lamb shank which was falling off the bone delicious. Highly recommended, we plan to go back for a quite dinner. Staff was also very friendly and accomodating especiall since it was raining that day.

I came here the Saturday before Christmas with my husband, and dear friends who introduced us to this gem in Brooklyn. That night we were warmly greeted by the hostess/manager Kim, met Sammy our main waiter, who when letting us know the special does it with so much gusto! you'd think he's reciting a poem and made me want to order everything from the menu. Loved this place so much we came back on New Year's eve to ring the new year and brought our daughter as well. Yes, the place this evening was packed as any good restaurant would, you could feel the energy. Once again, we were greeted very warmly from the hostess to Sammy, Oscar and other staff who waited our table. The food is absolutely delicious! During my first visit I had "burrata wrapped in Fig and Prosciutto", scallops and sword fish, all delightful. This evening the restaurant offered a special menu to celebrate the ocassion of the New Year, we ordered "pappardella pasta, gnocci infused with garlic, olive oil and shaved truffles on top. Fetuccini alfredo and salad as appetizers. All entrees were plated very beautiful, the presentation very appealing. The wine selection was paired to perfection with all the dishes we ordered to satisfy the most discriminating palate in our group, once again thanks to Sammy!. For the main course, I ordered filet mignon with marsala reduction sauce, mash potatoes and baby carrots, my daughter had spaghetti and meatballs, my husband chilean sea bass. My filet mignon was done to perfection as I ordered it medium rare, the mash potatoes creamy and seductive like silk, simply delicious! Bread with red pepper sauce was brought to the table as well, and classic italian style we ate, we laugh, we shared our food. The food pleased my eyes and stomach, but the warmth of one of the waiters touched my heart. As I'm having a great time sharing with my family and friends, I couldn't help that these people that are serving us also have families and sacrifise their time to be working on a night like this instead. I casually said thank you to one of the waiters for being there on this evening and his response was so unexpected almost brought tears to my eyes: "No, thank you! for being here, thank you! because customers like you, I have work" this men was so filled with gratitude and really touched my heart. I asked his name and he said "Oscar" with a big smile and so much zest! As we got closer to midnight the hostess came around and handed tiaras, hats and noise makers, another staff passed glasses of champagne to everyone. We got up and walked towards the bar where we gathered to watch on the monitor as the ball dropped on Times Square and the final count down started. We had an unforgetable experience!. We even met the Chef/owner Raffaele, when we complimented him for the delicious food he was so humble, "oh senora grazie per essere qui, felice anno nuovo". Very down to earth and simple "Thank you for being here, Have a Happy New Year!" Thank you Raffaele, thanks to the great staff of Scottadito, we will definitely come back! soon.

We had a wonderful brunch meal here. All the dishes were great. I had the special frittata with truffles and ricotta which was fantastic. All you can drink sparkling wine or mimosas topped off the meal as well! If you reserve, ask for the back room, which is blanketed with sun.

A charming neighborhood restaurant in Park Slope. The owners and wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The portions were very large, doggie bags all around. The appetizers, fritto misto and the small pizza were delicately prepared. My pasta was excellent as was the salmon and eggplant parm the others had. A nice bit of limoncello at the end of the meal, compliments of the restaurant was a nice end to the meal. Service was excellent! The wine list was sufficient and had offerings by the glass, 1/2 carafe and bottle. Definitely one to revisit.

Booked a table, a number of weeks ago, for 9.30pm on New Years Eve for seven people. Turned up at 9.20pm to be told our table would be ready in ten minutes and we're promised a free drink if we had to wait. We're asked to wait outside in the cold! After 15 minutes of waiting a number ended up inside sat on a staircase of a neighbouring business just to keep warm! Our table was still not free at 10.45 pm so we left with no word of apology from either staff or management. As there was nowhere else to go we returned home with our new years eve celebrations totally ruined. The children in our party were naturally really disappointed and it is especially disappointing as we were visiting New York from the UK. Without a doubt the worst dining experience I've ever had in my 51 years! Time for management and staff to take a long hard look in the mirror.....however I suspect they couldn't give a s**t!!

Went to dinner with friends at Scottadito. This is my 3rd time here. The food was delicious. My favorite was the spinach gnocci (I couldnt stop eating it), The oricchette with broccoli rabe was crunchy and delightful so was the calamari. I shared the Pork Tenderloin & Salmon with my bestie. We had a great dinner and plan to return again. YUMMY YUMMY!!!

Phenomenal dinner on Mothers Day that started at Bklyn Botanical Garden. I was most excited for homemade pastas, which the whole family loved. Food, service and ambience were fantastic. Three-veggie soup and imported, melt-in-your-mouth Bufatta mozzarella kicked off the extravaganza. Homemade wagon-wheel mac & cheese tops the charts for any kids meal. Gnocchi was light and fluffy, reminding me of recent Bittman article in NYT Magazine. Beautifully butterflied Branzino with its head and tail (attached) held up remarkably well in strong, fragrant mix of greens, artichokes, olives and capers. Complimentary homemade gelato for both kids were doubly appreciated since only one kids meal was ordered! Least-impressive item was tiramisu, though hardly a put-down. Panna cotta next time. Decal coffee was as good as it gets. Complimentary Limoncello was a treat. Highly recommended! (dined 5/12/2013)

Our class enjoyed a get together with everything included downstairs in the wine cellar. Enjoyed great company with very pealing septic eras, family style dinners and deserts. The gelato or desert was the best I've ever had. Great wait staff made us feel like family. Don't Roget to validate your parking. The garage is right near Firehouse no. 1.

I visited Scottadito earlier this afternoon for brunch with my boyfriend and two friends. Open entering the restaurant, I was quickly smitten with the intimate setting and rustic decor. I'm a sucker for reclaimed wood, and this place is just gorgeous! I didn't catch the name of our server, but he was very pleasant and attentive! A HUGE plus for me having been in the restaurant industry for many years, was that the service flowed effortlessly. Our water glasses were always filled, as were our Mimosa glasses, and our food arrived promptly-freshly prepared! Myself and my two friends thoroughly enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, and my boyfriend enjoyed the Eggs and Sausage. After we ate, I ordered a Cappuccino which was prepared very well. The milk was steamed to creamy perfection, and the espresso was deliciously full-bodied. Thank You, Scottadito, for a wonderful experience! I look forward to returning in the very near future!

My daughter recently move to Brooklyn to a neighborhood on the other side of Park Slope. I came to visit armed with several restaurant recommendations and this was one of them. It was a hot night - gin and tonic weather - but unfortunately, like a lot of Italian restaurants, their license only allows beer and wine. Our waiter suggested Sangria and although it is not my favorite libation, they did a good job of making it. We actually never made it to the wine - just stayed with the Sangria. The food was great, not the best Italian I have had but well prepared and enough interesting combinations to make things interesting. I had the gnocchi for my main course and this is usually a test - Scottaditto passed with flying colors. Not too gummy and a good balance with the sauce. We never made it to the meat dishes, just stayed with the delicious pastas and salad (i especially enjoyed the kale, beet and goat cheese) but seeing those main courses going by to other tables, I would not hesitate to return and savor.

This is a modest neighborhood restaurant, but the food is as good as can be found anywhere. From the buffalo mozzarella starter to the roasted branzino, to the house-made desserts, everything was perfectly delicious, topped off by real espresso with a gift of limoncello. Our party of seven, including two little tykes, were happy as can be, especially with the special children's menu.

Gracious, thoughtful and attentive service combined with a fantastic meal made for a memorable night. Love to start with the antipasti and keep choosing from there. Bread with olive oil, zuppa of the day and moved to the olives and delicious crostini: tuscan kale, cannelleni beans, and E.V.O.O. ; Pasta handmade in the kitchen - perfecto! Secondi - memorable! As in any traditional Italian home: finished with limoncello and espresso. p.s. Thank you again for a wonderful evening! Be well and stay curious, Lipstick Warriors

this place used to be a barn dated in the early 1900 really cool.it also has a beautifull sun room in the back with a charming zin garden and fish pond.service staff were warm and attentive .try the lavender martini,it is certainly a winner.i had the snapper special wich was very tasty,my friend had a rib eye steak special wich exceeded our expectation.we definetly coming back.

This little restaurant is lovely, rustic, country feel inside and nice outdoor back garden room. Brunch was overpriced: for $20 the entrees should be more substantial. Also, too many "substitution" or "add on" rules re coffee, cappuccino, etc.Service could have been more attentive.

The amazing food is just one of many reasons as to why you should visit this top notch establishment. The servers really know each dish down to the smallest of details and make great recommendations. The atmosphere is perfect for a date spot or to impress your family. The wines, desserts, cordials are also among the best in the area. Bring your appetite and definitely bring your wallet as a great meal experience will add up quickly.

My friend and I had brunch here because we wanted to try a new place. Once we walked in the ambiance was tranquil. Once we were seated, Tiffany greeted us and told us about the brunch specials. We both ended up ordering the specials. I had a croissant with prosciutto, bacon, mascarpone and marmalade with potatoes and fresh organic greens. With unlimited champaign. This is a great restaurant to have a private event, or just to have great organic food with a small group. By the way did I tell you that Tiffany is AWSOME!

In the past, I have loved this place for its relaxed atmosphere and decent food. However, tonight I happened to come with my family (including young children) on a night when the restaurant was hosting an event. Unfortunately, we were seating in a narrow passageway next to the bar and subject to a lot of traffic back and forth including highly intoxicated wedding-goers. I was tolerating it all until a huge, drunken crown congregated at the periphery of our table, cursing and even smoking. When I complained to the staff that it wasn't exactly the atmosphere we were used to, the retort was, "What do you want me to do about it?" Sadly I am going to have to cross this place off my list for family dinners.

Great Italian restaurant in Park Slope! We loved it! The food was great, the staff was very friendly and attentive, the cocktails.. Everything we had we enjoyed!! My husband and I will be going there again! Highly Recommend!!!

My wife and I have eaten many times at Scottoditto in Brooklyn and it is a most unusual Italian restaurant. Unlike the Sicilian and Neapolitan cuisine we are used to Scottoditto features a mid-Italy cuisine in a Tuscan farmhouse setting. They many organic dishes in place of the good old pasta and meatballs. Their mushroom pappardelle is superb and I have enjoyed rabbit and lambs head dishes which we true Italians know as cappozelle. Their chef Rafaele is from Italy and has been featured on TV. I am a life long New York Italian of 74 years but have retired and friends of my wife feted us at Scottoditto last Sunday to an incredible farewll dinner. Not just vendor fare but Sausages from Espositos and Lard Bread from Carusos on Court Street. Broccoli Rabe, mushroom pappadelle, reserve wines from Puglia and pastries from Monteleone also on Court Street. The real deal for we Italian-Americans and a evening not to be forgotten.

We recently hosted a birthday celebration for almost 50 people at Scottadito ….. My wife and I had eaten at Scottadito’s many times over the last several years, loved the food, and hoped that the warmth and atmospherics of the family restaurant we had come to appreciate would be felt by our friends and family. Everything exceeded our expectations, and the party got nothing but rave reviews. Even with many discerning Manhattanites on our guest list, everyone loved the food (particularly several pasta dishes -- penne alla vodka and spaghetti al pesto -- that people inhaled). The food --- appetizers, pasta, main courses, and dessert --- were served family style, with tray after tray coming around in perfect rhythm. The free flowing wine added to the festive feel of the night. Scottadito’s also did everything to make hosting the party an easy process --- allowing us to taste the food options in advance, being flexible on the guest count until the week before the event, and on the night of the party allowing us with absolute equanimity to change the table configuration to conform to some last minute adjustments we wanted. Any number of our guests commented on how welcome the manager and wait staff made everyone feel , and how well everything was presented and served. The evening raced by with such good food and good fellowship that no one wanted to leave. We stayed well over an hour beyond the expected three-hour event, with the staff doing nothing to constrain the night. The room we had very comfortably held the 50 people in our party, allowing for good mingling --- the room could have accommodated more.

When a Restaurant has a Heart ❤️ My fiancé and I decided to check out this restaurant for a dinner date night last Friday. When you walk into the restaurant, you can immediately feel the comfort and warmth of Italian hospitality. They have several seating areas, both indoor and outdoor, so you can choose to your liking. Every table has hand sanitizer on it - great attention to detail! Now the best part about this restaurant, is that Chef Raffaele and owner Donald treat all guests as family. They personally touch every table - how amazing is that? We spoke with Donald and he told us how when COVID came and they were forced to close, he and his staff cooked all the food they had and fed essential workers, homeless and the elderly. Now let’s talk food :) We started off with burrata - beautiful presentation, and beautiful complemented by mango and pistachios; then we had penne à la vodka with crab meat, my favorite there, totally delicious; and we also tried sea bass in parchment with shrimp and scallops - very good, though fish was slightly on a drier side (me being super picky here ha ha) Overall, great place, highly recommend and was worth a trip to Brooklyn! We had dinner with family and loved this restaurant. Fresh food, excellently prepared, and graciously served. All at a very reasonable price and even a complimentary dessert to share. If you're looking for an Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, this is it.

Had dinner tonight at Scottadito Osteria Toscana in Brrooklyo. Wow! Service staff was vert attentive. Featured wIne, Motto Cabernet from California, on the table. Lovely decor, hanging wrought iron lights from some church. Perfect Manhattan. great burrata and grilled octopus. Orrechiette dish very tasty. Delicious apple costrata. Recommended to all! HD great conversation with the chief who is from Bari Italy.

This lovely Tuscan farmhouse setting in Park Slope serves some of the most interesting and non traditional Italian food in New York. The menu leans to the cuisine of Tuscany with a tip of the hat to Puglia. Chef Raphael has appeared on TV discussing his special creations. My wife and I visited with family and we all had a fine time at Scottoditto last week. We enjoyed mixed appetizer portions of soppersat and fresh house made mozzarella. My wife hads a well prepared shell steak with mushroom sauce as did my niece. My nephew and I had house made pasta which resembled fusilli with mushroom sauce and broccoli rabe. House made gelato capped the meal. The wine was also well priced and we were happy to be back at Scottoditto.

Food was good, there can be no discussion on the subject. I ordered a burger but requested that it be served without avocado an caramelized onions. I was served with these two items. Besides that services was good and everyone enjoyed they brunch which was more like a lunch. But the food was very good. Will definitely return. Maybe then I will give them five starts.

Not just for pizza's but for good authentic Italian food. We've been here a couple of times now and they haven't disappointed on any occasion. Separate room for functions.

The ambiance, staff, service and food were all wonderful. The decor is warm and rustic. The staff was knowledgable about the menu and wine. The food was delicious. I cannot believe it took me so long to finally try this gem. I will be putting this on my list of faves in Park Slope.

The place was crowded, nicely decorated. Waiters very attentive and especially fast, for the crowded place. In the heart of Brookling. Don't forget to try the Benedictine eggs. They serve you the brunch (25 dollars) accompanied by champagne or the cocktail "mimosa". With friends, family or couple... don't miss it.

We made a reservation for 10 for brunch, and we were able to be seated before everyone was there, which pleased us all. The brunch menu was prix fixe, but included unlimited mimosas or champagne (I only had orange juice). The menu was varied, from egg specialties to pasta to salad. I had a vegetable frittata which came with potatoes and salad. The frittata was huge, and I couldn't even finish it. My only complaint was that they didn't come around often enough to refill my coffee cup. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would definitely return.

We were looking for a quiet place with good food for 5 of us to eat well and be able to hold a conversation. Most Brooklyn restaurants are cramped and loud, so we were well pleased to find Scottadito. Ample portions, knowledgable staff and great family feel. Thanks for a very pleasant meal. Each of us in our party enjoyed our meals.

Wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Homemade pasta and desserts. What could be better. We had the mussels and scallops appetizers that were delicious. Offered gluten free pasta in your choice of sauce. My wife had the pommodoro sauce and thoroughly enjoyed it. The evening’s special pasta in a beef ragout was outstanding, as was the bistecca and pork loin. Homemade oreo gelato hit the spot. The house provided limoncello topped it all off.

I've been here four times now and each time I saw I'm going to try something new. Each time I fail because the paparadelle al funghi is absolutely delicious and I can't resist.

We been here before many times and it never disappointed on us but always we leave with this feeling about the minosas (after 5 or 6 of them...). The food is very tasty and the service kind and efficient. Price/quality is pretty good and the we love the location because is a family neighborhood perfect for the walk back home

Visiting Brooklyn for the ACC tournament and looking for a good pre- dinner spot. Amazing!!! Was with my four high school buddies. The service was top notch. We felt very well cared for. The menu was a mix of traditional and creative. The rabbit sausage was delicious as was the octopus. And the traditional favorites like chicken parm did not disappoint. I am still full - 10 stars!

The food was very good and even on a busy Saturday night the service was good and the food served promptly. Pastas were all fresh and top notch. We had Frito misto--fried calamari as an appetizer and it was light and good. The red pepper sauce served with that and the bread is another plus. Would definitely return.

The food was great here from the appetizers (bruscetta and beet salad) to the organic pasta was clean and not so heavy. Loved the focus on service and providing guests with a great experience.

Looking for Italian on a saturday night we were pleased to find this gem.. The interior, with dark, open beamed ceiling, and lights that looked like they came from an old church, I felt like I was back in Venice. Narrow, when looking in from the street, but deep which was proved when we saw the patrons leaving from a wedding reception in the back room. Wait staff were very friendly, Food service was fast and they offered help to sample the wine before we ordered a bottle. Warm rosemary bread held us over until our entrees arrived. My choice was the evening special, tiger shrimp, mushrooms with cavatappi over greens. My companions enjoyed the spinach gnocci with mama's meatballs.. We skipped dessert, but finished off with complimentary homemade lemocello.. Definately a return is in the plans

We stumbled onto scottadito osteria toscana while walking the Park Slope area of Brooklyn. We simply loved it! Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful menu, and the food, OMG!!! Do not walk past! The overall value here is over the top!!!

First time at Scottadito. Picked it out of a few top choices from Trip Advisor and Yelp. We were not disappointed! From the moment we walked in (late) we were welcomed warmly. During dinner, the owner came over to make sure all was good. The chef and I traded our Italian recipes for all sorts of dishes. And dinner was in my upper "20%" of Italian restaurants in NYC and other cities that I make it a point to try Italian. If you are passing through Park Slope and wanting Italian for dinner - definitely try Scottadito!

I had dinner at Scottadito Saturday night with my husband and 18 year old son. It was fabulous!!! Its a cozy, warm, neighborhood atmosphere and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming or nicer. And the food was fabulous! We had the capreses salad and the mussels (do not miss them) for appetizers, pastas for dinner, and then terrific desserts. Everything was really fresh and not too heavy. We were definitely full when we were finished (including the 18 year old who had just played a baseball doubleheader) but not that completely stuffed feeling that you sometimes get. All three of us absolutely loved it and would HIGHLY recommend!

A small restaurant in a nice Brooklyn neighborhood. Food & wine was superb. Staff treated us like royalty. Would go there again & again.

I pick this place after looking at the menu and seeing that all the options looked so good. We started with the house wine and pizzetta. This is large enough for three people easily. It was tasty and the sauce was nice but I did prefer the foccicia in the basket on the table. That was soft warm and a bit savory. My husband went with the special, turkey lasagna. It was a good choice with it's ground turkey, tiny bits of carrots and layers of thin noodles in a delicate sauce. The portion was very generous and would have been best shared. I had the salmone scottadito which was also very good. Presentation alone was worth it. We shared apple crostata for dessert with espresso and a cappuccino. All was worth the calories.

The menu was not extensive and did not offer much in the way of traditional new york italian dishes. They had mostly creative dishes that was not ethically italian. The food was okay. Not at all what I was looking forward to so I'm disappointed. Also, some of the items we ordered they were out of very early on in the evening and we had to correct our waitress/waiter a couple of times regarding our order but I must say they did try and were very attentive albeit absent minded. The restaurant itself is nice but our table was wobbly (sp?) but we didn't bother pointing it out. We travelled a good 40 minutes to try this place and we won't go back. Note: very pricey.

Although its been a while since I've been to Scottodito, I definitely recommend for Sunday Brunch! TASTY DISHES & MIMOSAS OVERFLOW!! A solid choice!

This restaurant is a lovely place to have a wedding celebration just for family and close friends. The service and atmosphere were good. For a party of fifty the food tasted fresh and delicious. For me, the pasta was perfectly made. The spinach gnocchi was heavenly. Although it was a lunch menu, I was quite full by the time we were done with the coffee and the cake. The only annoying thing is parking. I had to search for parking because the parking garage nearby was closed due to renovation in the area. However, if you have a GPS (which I didn't), it will probably inform you of the nearest parking garage. But, some guests took mass transit which was a comfortable walking distance.

Came here for brunch with a large group. Things started off on the wrong foot when my order was not taken. Once it was, I felt positive but then my order came out and it was wrong. Fine, it went off to be corrected. Then it took forever to come back out. I was so unimpressed with this. The value was lacking as well. It was $20 for brunch but the problem is, I have had larger meals for less (and just as good, if not better). Overall service was good enough, which saved this from a lower rating, but I will not return.

We have eaten at Scottadito several times and the excellence is consistent. The restaurant has fresh food and great wine. It is a MUST TRY!
Roasted chicken taken to new heights
My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful meal last night at Scottadito Osteria Toscana. We each ordered the roasted chicken with a salad to start. The chicken was off the charts great. It was my third time at this restaurant and have enjoyed my meal every time. As noted by other reviewers, the ambience is very nice and the service very accommodating.
