Good food, nice environment but a little disappointing...

By Zell |

We've been here 5-6 times and reserve it for special occasions. Recently we reserved a table for us on a Monday night saying that it was a birthday dinner, requested a booth in a quiet and provided the name of the honoree. The restaurant was not overly busy and crowded as Mondays are usually not as busy. We were seated in a booth immediately but it was not a quiet place... it was a booth close to the glass partition that separated the dining area from the kitchen and near a table of another group. In the past honorees were greeted at the table with a Happy Birthday card from the management and a card for a free appetizer. This time there was nothing on the table but the usual setups. I mentioned to the excellent server that we had a birthday honoree and when he later showed us the desserts, he said that hers would be free. The server made suggestions for an appetizer that would serve 4 people ((and it was quite good. (lump crab and shrimp stuffed mushrooms). The four entrees were excellent and came at a reasonable time. Each of us ordered a separate dessert which was just the right size to end the meal. The server was really courteous. efficient, and friendly. The food was excellent. The environment was beautiful. BUT the extras previously provided regarding a birthday celebration... especially the birthday card, slight table decoration, and the free appetizer were missing. It was disappointing. Seasons 52 used to outdo other fine dining restaurants in San Antonio in this regard but apparently they've cut out this amenity and put themselves on the same level as the other nice restaurants here in San Antonio. We will return but we will lessen our expectations.

Seasons 52 SATX - Good family atmosphere

By FRP Travel Group |

Visiting San Antonio this summer and we have been to Seasons 52 three different times, each with a different group, and every visit has been amazing! The staff is always so kind, patient, and attentive, making every experience feel special. The food was delicious with a large variety for everyone. The desserts… those mini indulgences are dangerously good! We tried all of them and they did not disspoint. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and perfect for any occasion especially for large groups, whether it’s a family dinner, date night, or catching up with friends. Highly recommend Seasons 52 if you are looking for great food, great service, and good vibes all around.

Far Exceeded Expectations!

This was our first visit to Seasons 52 and our party of five was very impressed. Every dish was better than expected. The ambiance and the quality of the food was of a higher caliber than we anticipated. Overall a great experience and we will be back.

Delicious Dishes and Stylish Vibes, but Service Timing Needs Work at Seasons 52

Seasons 52 is a solid addition to San Antonio's bustling Quarry Market, and our party of seven had an overall enjoyable experience during our recent Saturday night visit. Pro tip: make a reservation! The place was packed, but thanks to booking ahead, we were promptly seated upon arrival. The food was undeniably delicious, but the pacing of the service left room for improvement. We ordered four starters, and while two arrived quickly, the remaining two lagged behind by over 20 minutes, requiring us to check on their status. Similarly, when it came to entrees, some dishes reached the table a good 10-15 minutes before others, which was a bit frustrating. That said, the food itself made up for the hiccups. We started with the pepperoni flatbread and roasted tomato flatbread--both were hits! They were so good that one of our group members even ordered the flatbread as their main course. We also shared the Brussel sprouts and loaded potatoes which were solid choices as well. For my main, I opted for the pork chop paired with risotto for my entrée, and it was a standout. The chop was flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked, with a marinade/sauce that was just exceptional. Definitely a dish I'd recommend. Though I thought I couldn't eat another bite, their tableside dessert shooter presentation changed my mind--and I'm so glad it did! The cookies & cream and turtle cheesecake shooters were the perfect sweet ending: indulgent, but just the right size. Seasons 52 brings excellent food and a classy atmosphere to the Quarry Market, but a bit more polish on service flow would take the experience to the next level. Still, it's a spot I'd be open to return to, especially for that pork chop!

Great option

Food was great, healthier side, priced reasonably. I had Tuna Tartar and Beet Salad. The waiter was friendly and efficient. Drinks were good as well. Nice ambiance

So disappointing

I had very high expectations for this restaurant due to some glowing reviews on TA. Food was really mediocre, except for the steak salad, which was exceptional. We ordered: Grilled Artichokes -- so underdone they were crunchy. Crab and Shrimp Stuffed Mushrooms - severely under seasoned. Lobster tail (Ala Carte) overdone and rubbery Again, the Steak Salad was excellent. Waiter was great, helpful and accomodating, but hostess station was disorganized. I would go back for the salad but don't know that I would recommend.

Big serving sizes!

This place just opened in the last 3 days. For meals under 595 calories we couldn’t believe how much food there was! Service was fantastic and we enjoyed the meals! We will be back!!

We will not return

We recommended this location in San Antonio Texas, because our first visit was for a special occasion, (wedding anniversary). Our first visit was exquisite. The food was good. The service was better and we were treated extremely special. We recommended this location to very good friends of ours and we accompanied them. They were celebrating their belated Valentine’s Day as they were not together during this past Valentine’s Day. When we arrived, no special treatment of our friends was offered. Once we sat at the table, our server did not introduce herself and did not visit with us other than to take our order and bring our Bill at the end of dinner. My wife ordered salmon and it was not good. It was dry and it was stuck to the cedar plank. There were only five pieces of green beans that were also very dry. All in all, we were very disappointed. Not only with the food, but the overall service and the fact that they ignored our friends special evening. We will not return.
