Decent beer bar

By Peter B |

Unpretentious and self serve with some very big TVs downstairs it's a fine place to start for a couple. The beers are decent and varied and the staff is polite. The bathroom needs a code so I don't know what that's about. And it kind of could have a great patio, but it really wasn't used in November.

Fun downtown hang out

By Sandra H |

Local beers and fun times! 16 taps all Seattle beer. If you want you can take the Seattle Brewery tour and see the beer being made. Great for after work or when the rest of downtown shuts down. Even grab a growler to take home!

Great beer!

Great beers

By Kim W |

Nice little pub with some outdoor seating. Staff was super friendly & the brew was quality. They also sell nice swag.

Check dates on cans!

By Jerin M |

Cool location and decor inside. Some of the hoppy beers in the cooler were 6-7 months old! Usually the hoppy beers like IPAs and pale ales should be consumed within 3 months, to avoid an unpleasantly oxidized taste. Nice staff though. Check yo' dates!

Home base for Seattle Brewery tours

By Prespd |

Wow, Seattle is the cradle of Hop growing and this tap room is the best option for tasting the greater region brews and knowledgeable staff. Even better this is the home of Road Dog tours. Local brews in tap and a whole bunch of specialty craft kegs on tap not available elsewhere. Want wild? Try "wingman aurora" wild ale. A definite must visit. Kick back enjoy Seattle beer culture and enjoy the tastes of greater Washington"

Beer Tasty

By Amanda C |

Stopped in to try some local brewed beer. I opted for a cider beer made from Washington State apples- and it was delicious. The atmosphere had a good vibe and the location super close to Pike's Place Market.

Lovely

By LoisBee |

We popped in for a drink whilst wandering around Seattle. We had two taster sliders, one of which included the three ciders on offer. They were gorgeous! We sat in the upstairs window and watched the world go by. The $13 take out fridge seems like a good deal too.

Sampler in Seattle

Great setting for a pint or sampler of Washington state micro brews! When in Washington, you must try their beer for sure. You will love the diverse selection! I liked my Lavender Saison!!! Perfect for summer!

Stop Here for a Break and Enjoy Some Local Beers

By costaricatravel09 |

Greay place to stop for a break, try a local beer poured by a knowledgeable bar tender. We also selected a sandwich from the cooler which the bar tender toasted for us. I can imagine that this place is busier during Happy Hour or later in the evening.

Hard to Find - but has changing variety of good craft beers

By pasowine |

Just stumbled on this place on Western below the Pike Place Market. Friendly staff - they have a variety of craft beers to choose from on a rotating basis - certainly plenty to choose from. You can get a single beer or a flight. There are some of the more popular ones (like Lucille IPA) and some totally unknown ones (to me). It was fun to try out new brews and experiment! You can sit upstairs or head downstairs where there is a bar with a TV showing sports. Nice place and hidden gem!

Good hefe

By Roel G |

Nice and apperently new place with 16 different beers from different local breweries on tap. Friendly staff. They also organize a couple of tours to local breweries.

Great selection of beers

By Jason S |

My wife and I had some time to kill before our dinner reservation. We stopped in and had a flight of beers. Great selection of beers and super laid back atmosphere.

Disappointed

By Chris J |

It was a hot day and we'd been walking the waterfront and decided to go for beer. We chose Seattle Beer because it was nearby. They did have a few great beers from local breweries but only a few. The service was horrific, the young women working apparently didn't have a passion for craft beer as they were unable to give basic beer profiles, samples were mostly foam and the prices in my opinion were high. Not the place for craft beer enthusiasts.

Great experience!

By Kyla |

My boyfriend and I were in Seattle to catch a flight to Vegas. We spent the evening exploring Seattle as it was our first time. We love checking out brewiers and came across this spot. The man working was super friendly and helpful. We did a flight and purchased some souvenirs. We got there close to closing time but did not feel rushed at all. There is beer, wine and ciders to pick from which is great. The option of sampling a kind before picking it for your flight option is also available! The prices are great and the sitting area is very cool. I would say after being to many places within Canada and the U.S. this would be one of my top 2!

Good effort

By Mrtynz |

Some great tasting beer and tried 3 tastings. Also had the pretzel 🥨. They had a beer advertised which had just gone out of stock which I was keen to try. To make up for it they gave me the promo poster and guitar pick.

Great little local spot

By tkatl76 |

Stopped in to have a quick drink while passing by as we liked the look of the place. We weren't disappointed. Very friendly service, trendy place, and some great local craft beers on draft. Got a flight while stopping through. If you like craft beer it is worth checking out!

Not a must see

By travelingsteve55 |

They have many different local beers here which I liked. They sell flights if three of your choice and they also have cider. Beer was great, cider not so much.

Must Visit!

By Grace W |

Love this place. My husband and I have been to Seattle several times and love stopping in local bars, and we just found a new favorite! Great beer. Excellent service. Scotty was a treat! He knows his drinks and he's super great to chat with. We'll most definitely be back!

Great craft beer vibe

By darthval |

Great location. Great atmosphere. They have a good selection of local craft beer on draft and a selection of craft bottles & cans. The locaton is nestled between Pike Place Market & the shops at the water front. There are brewery tours that leave from the bar. Great place for beer lovers.

Stopped in for a local brew

Stopped in for a local brewed beer. Tried the Big Al Amber and the Oatmeal pale. I enjoyed the Big Al a lot. It's worth stopping in for a beer to try.

Local Brews

By decljust |

Nice bar, has around 20 local beers on draft with more local beers in cans and bottles. Reasonable prices and offers tasting flights.

Located on street parallel and below Pike Place Street

By Travel_Guy_2015 |

It is small two story establishment with a tasting bar upstairs and (3) small tables. Downstairs is larger with more tables. They don’t serve food but the beer is delicious. It’s pretty laid back and that’s great!

My Seattle trip

By Mark M |

Great service and some wonderful beers. My bartender was so amazing with suggestions for the area. Also right next to Pike market. A must for any beer lover.

Tasty Booze

Fantastic atmosphere and great Beer!

If you are looking for a place with a fantastic atmosphere to enjoy a great variety of local Beers, then visit the Seattle Beer Co. Highly recommended.

Perfect hangout spot, spacious downstairs

By Jene I |

Seattle Beer Co has it all! Rotating beer taps, knowledgeable bartenders, wonderful ownership, & a spacious downstairs area. It's a casual hangout spot and we were able to host our January networking event in the lower area. Dustin, the owner, was so easy to work with and made the entire evening a breeze. Our attendees loved the space and the wide variety of beer choices. Don't miss this place!

Great local beer and cider choices!

By Louise M |

I always love coming to a brewery or tap house that has choices for the non-IPA lover. I tried the coffee stout that was delicious, but too heavy for a warm day. I sampled the ciders and found a delightfully refreshing Schilling grapefruit cider. It actually tasted better with every sip! By the end I was wishing I had ordered a pint instead of a small glass.

Great Service!

By Koverton |

Fantastic selection of local beers with friendly service. Three x 6 oz taster for $9.00. Pretzels with mustard and tons of merch available too.

Great beer!

By Jacqueline S |

We popped in for a quick beer and had a wonderful experience. Decor was fun and clean with excellent service.

A pleasant surprise

By tolleson94 |

After wandering around downtown Seattle for a while we spotted this little place and decided to try it out. Staff are awesome! They chatted with us and were just all around friendly. We were able to sample several types of beer and the bartender was knowledgeable about each one. We chose a raspberry sour beer (excellent if you like sour beers) and sat near the window and watched the coming and going of people. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. It felt more like a coffee cafe than a bar. Very much enjoyed the experience.

Doesn’t care about customers, only intends to sell regardless.

We went there on Saturday at 1pm, wanting to try small sip of beer since it was so hot outside and we had a long walk. I was with my 2 other friends and I also had a toddler with me. Bartender was very nice, saying hi to each one of us and we ordered one flight which is a 3 small pieces of beer. The right after we finished paying, the bartender who knew we had a small child with us, said that child shouldnt be inside at all. He could’ve told us when he first saw us. Selling the beer was more important to him that he literally waited until we pay. I asked him if I can chug outside since I cant leave the kid alone outside, he said no. I also asked him if I could chug inside with the kid and he also said no. It was 100ml beer, not even a full cup. I understand it was the rule, but he just could’ve told me at entry. It was very unethical. I usually support local breweries but never Seattle beer co again for me and neither of my friends. Goodbye, see you never.

Dirty, not really very good considering

By BethIneson |

This is Seattle, the home of microbrews and mother of the American Beer movement. In truth I had Cider, I got flight and two were really good. The third was so bad I almost spit it out. It tastes the way superglue smells. It was 1:00pm and the place was a mess. It stunk of stale beer and the tables were all either full of empties or cleared, but sticky and gross. We finished our flights and got out of there. On the bright side, the bartender did warm us off the food.........

Seattle Brewery Tour

By Karen |

Visiting for fun and SO glad I found the Seattle Brewery Tour! It starts at Seattle Brewery Co. which is an amazing location (at Pike's Place) and is such a cozy atmosphere. They've got a great selection...visit here made the Seattle trip so worth it!

Not a Brewery

By William B |

Good beers but not a brewery themselves. They offered a beer they opened on accident for free. Solid selection.

Cool spot for local beer

By karag773 |

Great atmosphere. 2 floors with barrels as the main decor. They give tours but I didn't get to take one. I got a taster flight with 3 beers and they were all very good! The Hales Fresh Hop Pale was absolutely delicious. Friendly service!

Just Ok

By omatraveldog |

I’m giving this bar a rating of a three, all of those points belong to the bartender because he was awesome. Really paid attention to the kind of beer we were talking about and gave my wife a few samples to make sure she would like what she ordered. He was really personable and did a great job. The place is right off pikes market, that makes it expensive. A beer is $7.50, most other places within a couple blocks are six dollars. The place also lacked atmosphere and energy, it was nice but pretty boring. There are other places that are much better, you can find them within my reviews.

Time to share

By charissemsg |

A great place to go for some downtime from Pike Place. Highly recommend the beer flight as there are so many choices to choose from. The bartender was extremely kind and gave us some beer recommendations. I tend to bounce around from fruity and light beers so the flight my boyfriend and I got were the raspberry beer, coco jones (porter) and the nitro (bitter). The ambiance is very inviting and this is a great place for small and big groups. The nitro beer is a must try if you are into dark amber and bold bitter flavors. Cheers!

Great selection in a comfortable space

By Brad M |

Wandered in here while walking the city on a visit. The bartender(?) was super helpful, chatty and knew the taps. The flights are a great option for trying out beer before ordering a full one. I have gone back every time I'm in town to try new brews.

Cider sampler

By Lonny M |

We sampled the two cider offerings and a honey ale . Great value for the money and a good way to find drinks you like, I will definitely be stopping by again

A Place to Chill

By LookForUs |

Located above the Pikes Place Market its a great place to relax after wandering endlessly through the market. The beer is cold and the bartender is friendly. Give this place a visit if you are in the area.

Decent array of local beers

By SimeyTravels |

This was a random find. We were just kind of wandering around the outskirts of Pike Market, trying to plan the day, when we saw their sign. A quick search later, and we were walking in to place an order. No matter that it wasn’t even noon – we were on vacation and determined to enjoy every second of our time in town! The bartender wasn’t overly friendly, but we weren’t there to make friends. My husband got a pint right away, and of course I went with a flight. It wasn’t until I was writing out my flight that we realized Seattle Beer Co. is basically a bar, not a brewery. It was too late for us to leave at that point – hubs had taken a few sips of his beer by then – so I made the best of it. Not that there’s anything wrong with bars, mind, but we were on the hunt for local breweries. Sure, they had some local beers on tap, but nothing that was their own. I know this makes me sound like a terrible snob, but when you have your mind set on one thing in particular, it takes the wind out of your sails to discover your assumptions were incorrect. At any rate, we took our beers to the lounge space downstairs, where one other early-drinker was inhabiting a table. We cozied up to the bar that lined the window overlooking the alley behind the building and took our time drinking. I know my husband was planning on two pints while we were there, but the realization that they didn’t brew their own beer had him stop at one. We did enjoy what we sampled, but I won’t review them here. I don’t know what kind of crowd they get during “regular drinking hours”, but I did enjoy lounging in the downstairs area. They had some history of beer panels lining the wall in the back, and it was fun to people-watch out the large windows. There’s a mural just outside the back door that garnered a steady flow of tourists. Us included.

Good choice of beer.

We stopped by here with friends on a recent visit to Seattle. Ok, the place is not very unique or interesting, but it had a great selection of beer and a friendly atmosphere. It's also in a good location after we spent a few hours walking round Pike Place Market which is just across the street.

VISIT HERE !!

By ApparentlyBeth |

Staff are so lovely, beer is amazing lots to choose from and lots of help if you’re unsure what to try !! Multiple games to play whilst you drink - must visit if you’re in Seattle !

Hoptastic drinking stop

By Gary S |

Stopping point on steps for thirsty international travellers. Two tier beer haven for the hop mad visitors and locals alike. I sampled the lightest IPA and my wife sampled the Weiss beer. Both good drops. They had about 12 or so taps on. Good selection ....some up at 7+ ABV. REFRESHING to see a real grubby yet cool drinking hole.

Nice bar

By Kathryn W |

We just stopped by for one drink but the place was cool and had some nice options. Didn't seem to be too much seating which I imagine in the evening would be a bit of a nightmare, but worth a visit if you're stopping for a drink after being down by the waterfront.
