Went for lunch. Authentic Cuban food. Skirt steak with chimichurri (sp?) sauce was sooooo good. Excellent black beans and rice! My friend got the roasted pork which was also very good, moist not dried out. Plantains, coffee all good. English definitely second language for the servers. Will be back next time we are in the area!

We had lunch yesterday, and we were very disappointed. The steak was dry, no taste at all, I had to ask for the onions and parsley which always come with it. The tostones were soggy (and they charge extra for tostones) We’ve been there before but this time it was not acceptable, I know they were closing early for the holiday but there was no reason for serving bad food, for that don’t open at all. We’re not planning on coming back

Food is great, people are friendly, service is fast and courteous, it's one of my favorite places to hang out for good food and great wine.

This place isn't much on the inside but there are good choices on the menu and the food was good. Not many of the servers spoke English so there was some barrier there. Prices were very affordable both for food and drinks. I would visit again.

I was in the area at lunch time and enter to this Shopping Center, see Sergio,s and belived will be same as Coral Way Location...big mistake.. Enter Hostess talking with other employee as 2 ?? ,no 1, ok come take me to the tables and given 2 menus...., no silverware , no napkins...came with water slide the bottle in the table...,ask for silverware.....a young lady pass (no came to the table) ask for soup of the day, tell me 3 choices..,She recommended 1,...ask for Plantain soup and 2 Croquetes, ask Her can you please bring me fresh just fried, She said I will, bring soup,cold...tell please warn a little more hot, when try Croquetes, same thing...cold, I don't have more time and go to another place..Tell to Hostess i leave because food is cold and not silverware never.....

Food and service was great!!! We really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. I would highly recommend it! I love Cuban food.

As soon as I arrived to the restaurant with my service animal, one of the waitresses was looking at me in a bad way. I decided to ignore her as maybe I was just overreacting. Not even 5 minutes passed, and the manager approached us in a rude manner to kick me out of the restaurant because of my dog (service animal). My husband expressed that my dog was a service animal and that under the Florida ADA Law it was illegal for him to deny us the entrance to the restaurant to which the manager replied that “no type of dog were allowed in the restaurant even if it’s a service animal”. We were so in shock since this is the first time this has happened and we told him that, and the only thing he could say (almost like threatening us) was “it’s going to happen more often to you”. According to the manager, there was a sign outside the restaurant that prohibited any dog. Well, WRONG. When we went outside to show him the sign, it clearly stated that service animals are welcome and that the ADA Law protect us. How is it possible that a “manager” doesn’t even know the rules of his own restaurant. Please note that the manager never asked if my dog was a service animal, or if maybe we could sit outside (in which I wouldn’t had any problem at all).

We went there and had the Cuban sandwich, Empanadas and ham croquette. Everything was ok...nothing really special. The staff was very nice tho.

Everything is delicious but they should have canned or glass cokes, not just machines, the waitresses are very friendly, the menu is very good and extensive. I recommend the bread with suckling pig and the cheese board.

Ordered delivery and was mishandled. Called to discuss and supervisor, Nelson, hung up while we were trying to explain. Called back and he denied it. Customer service is horrible

I came to Sergio’s for lunch with the sole purpose of just trying their croquetas for my food instagram and ended up ordering a meal since I was so hungry at the time. Let me say that I haven’t been to Sergio’s in a longgggg while and really didn’t expect much from my meal but even after walking into this location was surprised by how beautiful the décor was inside! I was immediately greeted and sat by my wonderful server, an older woman who's serving skills were definitely notable. She knew every nuance of great service without looming over us.....a true rarity in Miami. My boyfriend and I dug into our fresh ham croquetas which I noticed were separately prepared then from the to-go window. They were phenomenal and I ended up choosing their croqueta as the best in Miami! As I waited for my meal to come, I wandered over to their to-go section that offered much more than I expected: gourmet empanadas, panther coffee in any way you could think of, and vegetarian options. I will most definitely be back to sample some of their delicious sounding empanadas! The lunch surprised me the most and now I regret ever doubting this Miami staple! First off they have revamped their menu since my last visit and I loved seeing their large selection of healthy/vegetarian options that incorporates Cuban favorites to things you can afford to eat on your diet! They have a wonderful lunch specials that allow you to have half a sandwich and an accompanying side such as a soup. My boyfriend ordered the croqueta prepared with chicken soup. The soup was tiny but superb and the sandwich was far from half sized......which of course made him very happy! I went with something I had never seen before, the Picadillo Flatbread which was a flatbread topped with picadillo, a black bean hummus, and an over easy egg! DELICIOUS! I will definitely be returning to this Miami staple and hope to see that issues causing their current rating status ironed out because the food was truly delicious! IG: @KFitzEats

I stopped in on the way back to the airport which is nearby. I lived the atmosphere. The price was reasonable.

a great place for well priced cuban food. food is great and the service is excellent. check out the flacito menu and save on calories.....all empoyees wired for maximum service. well worth it

The food in Sergio's Kendal and 107 is spectacular, but what I enjoyed the most is the special service of Gustavo, he as a dispatcher always have and authentic, genuine and cordial smile waiting to display while dispatching your food! Gustavo is a very special person as is Sergio's food! The black beans are amazing!!

The Sergios on 107th Ave and 88th Street has Terrible Food.... I live close to the restaurant and is convenient, but the food is awful... I am never going Back.....

Everyone I had spoken to had raving reviews of this restaurant. well....I came with family members for breakfast and sincerely I was disappointed. Food is ok. Nothing special. I had an omelette south beach and it was really nothing outstanding. The rest of the family had other dishes but for the comments I got, the food was acceptable. Service is slow and at time hectic. Specially on a Sunday which was when we came to visit.

Cuban cuisine at its finest. Always a great place to get an early breakfast. Get there early otherwise you will wait for a while-it gets packed.

Cockaroach in food and manager called us liars. I ordered a bistec sándwich and it had a roach in between I almost ate it

Great Cuban food. Awesome low caloric menu and the best coffee in the area. Their ham croquettes are phenomenal and the best part is that they deliver. Highly recommend!!!

Today me and my husband went for the first time to the so named and famous Sergio's. We were very disappointed by the presentation was horrendous for both plates. The 'Flaca sliders" were a joke, too small and the fries were almost burnt. I ordered the salmon w/ scrambled eggs!!! Who came up with the idea of mixing the cream cheese with the eggs!!??? It was very poor presentation, way too salty and for the price not worthy. First and last. I guess that taking for granted the so called fame you settle for mediocrity. Don't see nothing special.

The vaca frita was delicious and I asked my server, Jennifer for poached eggs to go with my vaca frita and she made it happen. I truly enjoyed Jennipher kindness, and how quickly she took our orders and brought our food.

Very friendly, good food and tremendous service..thanks to waitress Beruska and captain of the night Sandra...Blessings and many successes

I am a loyal customer who comes almost every morning to get my colada. ALL the women who work in the front counter (ventanita) are amazing. They are hard working and always greet you with kindness- so sweet. They make my mornings :) Great staff!

This place is great! Food was excellent, but the service was even more excellent. The young man, Enoy is a great person and since I went solo and sat on the bar bench, I was able to watch his bar tender skills and was amazed the way he handle all the requests just by himself. I do not think the owners know what a jewel they have.

Sergio’s was first inaugurated in Miami in 1976 and it has currently several locations in this city, some of them are even inside certain Walmart stores. This place is mainly Cuban but it also offers Latin American dishes. It’s a good place for breakfast, lunch or dinner, since it has an extensive menu that offers: cafecito, empanadas, croquetas, and many other Cuban specialties. Although most of the dishes are high-calorie meals, Sergio’s has added salads and other healthy options to its menu for those who want to stay fit. It’s not a gourmet restaurant, but it’s very good among the ones that have a similar concept.

I don't know why others called this "a hole in the wall". It's in a strip mall, but it's quite pleasant. Good food, & low cal options were excellent.

When it come to cuban culture this is restaurant to visit food is very authentic and service is better

Good food as usual but atmosphere is fabulous There are five ways to enter/eat Outside there is a walk up coffee window , two entrances and a patio Inside there is a very casual "coffee shop " type place and a large main restaurant Service very good Hubby's split pea soup was. " excellent" as was his media noche sandwich I had bifsteak empanazado , tostones and moros Took more than half home This is a wonderful Sergio's

My wife and I visited Miami this past week and we had lunch at Sergio's twice on our visit. The prices are extremely reasonable and the portions are substantial. We really enjoy their maraquitas especially with the accompanying garlic sauce. My wife had a cuban sandwich on one visit and an arroz compollo type of meal on the second visit. I have been "jonesing" for Cuban food since we left South Florida and I ordered the masas de puerco (fried pork) on both visits. Service was quick and attentive. Would definitely recommend this restaurant (there are several in the Miami area).

Friendly staff, good ambiance and fair prices. Miami is saturated with Cuban cuisine but this local is in a class all by itself.

Amazing experience, atmosphere, food, service. My family was so happy with my election for lunch. My waitress is so attentive and fast. The whole staff celebrate 🎉 with me and my family my birthday. Definitely I will came back again.

Food was great and service was as good as the meal, like the atmosphere and would be happy to return there.

We love coming here. They have great Cuban food and lots of traditional and healthy options. We love to have the huevos revueltos. They serve a lot and we can share as well as have ham croquetas. Great cafe c leche. You can have Cuban toast or French bread w your coffee. Service is great. They have free wifi. Reasonable prices. Can't beat it!!

They have a nice chocolate chip cookie. But freakfast was extremely average and the cuban sandwich was also very average. Go somewhere else.

Very good food, service Is fast, Is fabulous, dish palomilla . Great coffee .servers friendly Amazing place

While visiting Miami for a couple days, we stopped in at Sergio's Restaurant at the Kendall location. As a lover of Cuban food, and as someone who has had quite a lot of it over the years, I thoroughly enjoyed lunch there. I had lechon with black beans and rice, along with maduros (sweet plantains), tres leche for dessert, and cuban coffee. Needless to say, this lunch portion was larger than I expected, but maybe just enough to some. The lechon, which is served in a healthy portion, was a little dry, but very tasty nonetheless. The rice and beans a must have side, and the maduros were nice size each and delicious. The tres leche was a small portion, which was good for me, and not overly sweet and topped with an edible pearl. The cuban coffee served in a cappuccino size was delicious and a perfect finish after that meal. I had to get a take out container for half of my food, to finish later as I was getting very full, and wanted to continue to enjoy it later. There were 3 of us dining in, and the price was very good for all we had. Sergio's has many locations in the Miami area, but we drove down from Miami Beach to this location after receiving a recommendation. I will certainly stop in again whenever I'm back in town.

Had never eaten Cuban (no my knowledge) and had no idea what to expect when "Miami-an" friends suggested it. Was pleasantly surprised, very tasty with good service, attentive enough without pestering you and happy to explain the menu to first timers. Would go back again and explore the menu a little further.

This was our first experience with Cuban food in Miami. We all enjoyed our breakfasts and the service. We were prewarned about the difference between Cuban and American coffee so we were careful about ordering.

So nice to see a clean Restaurant and all staff Happy. I recomend it this one of the best place in Miami .

If you like Cuban food, this is the place to go, flavorful, good taste and a great variety of dishes. Been there for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Inexpensive too!!

We had a desire to get a Cuban Steak Sandwich and found the best one that we have had in town in many years. The thin steak was very tasty and the bread was fresh and warm. It had great grilled onions and tomatoes but the final touch that made the difference were the freshly made Julienne potatoes. Most places include canned ones but here they were freshly made, extremely thin (as they should be) and very crispy. We did not try any other plates this time as this was sufficient and at $8 it was a great value for it's size. Also had the Cuban Materva which is a soft drink based on mate and is very sweet and tasty. We went for a late lunch and the place was not crowded. We received great service from our server and she was very efficient and friendly. It is nicely decorated and has a nice bar and multiple TVs. The atmosphere is good and they also have some seating outside. The location was in the heart of Kendall which is a very safe and attractive neighborhood and it has plenty of parking. Presentation and quality of this sandwich was great. it was clean but could have used a little more attention to details as the floor on the way to the bathroom was in need of being swept and the bathroom the same. The price was moderate and you get much value for the price.

We ate in this restaurant 1 night and had take out the second night. Eating in was delicious but take out was not. First the woman taking orders barely spoke English- secondly they forgot 2 of our Extra orders we paid for and thirdly- the food was overcooked and rice dry. Eat in was Very tasty, nut take out not good.

We started with the ham croquettas and they were very dry. I told the waitress and she said "oh I'm sorry, maybe with be better next time" huh? I had the Cuban sandwich and it was way smaller than usual and half the meat it usually has. The place just seems like they cutting down.

Great Cuban food in a strip mall, service was excellent! The only downside unsweetened iced tea was awful. Cafe conlecha made up for it

The wife and I were given a very tight table right inside the door. If it weren't for the people watching opportunity of a lifetime... We should have picked a different location. The food was good. I had the meatloaf, which was excellent, my wife had the shredded steak.. Which tasted better than it looked. Of course, we started with an appetizer of plantains and mojo which was surprisingly very garlicky. The prices were reasonable, but this Texas couple was a little taken back by the lack of English.... And we're from Texas ya'll.

1. I went in to order some soup after a long hard day and not feeling well and I sat down on the counter area. I am a veteran who lost both my legs during the war. The young lady behind the counter yelled at me for sitting down. What a way to treat a veteran. Must be nice to step on to American soil and be given the right to stay in America with out paying a single drop of blood. Will never eat there again. I rather Eat with the Taliban. At least I know where they stand.

We waited a while bc the line was so big but it was well worth t the bread with butter the eggs the drinks the coffee it was all worth the wait the food was amazing can't wait to go back

Last weekend my daughter convinced me to order from Sergio. We ordered for 10 people, the pull pork was very good, the maduros was slimy with no taste, and the worse dish was the 5 LBS of yucca that was supposed to come with Mojo sauce, arrived just boiled without no flavoring. It was terrible, yucca and maduros we're left in everyone's plate then in the garbage. I can't believe I spent $190.00 in the dumpster. First and last i will order . Marie

The staff was professional, nice and personable. The food was served quickly, good temperature and very good taste.

Being Cuban there's nothing more delicious than some ham croquettas, tortilla, and a cafe con leche. The croquettas 😍

Miami is a city where you can find many restaurants offering good Cuban food. Sergio's is one of them. At least this branch is conveniently located in the Doral neighborhood, close to two of its main shopping plazas (International Mall and Dolphin Mall). We received a very good service, the wait was reasonable and the quality of the dishes ordered was pretty good.

Visited Sergio's rest. Adked for the breaded Palomilla steak and white rice with black beans and plantains. Delicious. Explendid fast service. We were real hungry a Saturday night. The rest was full but the service was fast. The bread was exquisite and the steak two can eat with one service. Big parking area. Will recommend

We ordered lunch for visitors from Chicago and gave them the treat of Cuban lunch delights. The sandwich tray included a sampling of all but the highlight was the fritas. The visitors were fascinated by the maraquitas. The Russian salad was about the best I have ever had. The dessert tray held all the favorite pastelitos. Trust Sergio's to bring on the best!

the staff is nice and the service is fast. We enjoyed a very nice Cuban American food, very good cook and innovative dishes

Great place to eat latin food. Good outdoor seating and good parking. It was a bit slow in the service part which could be explained by how busy they were. I can forgive that because of how nice the servers are. Great food. must try it

Always a great place to catch breakfast, but weekends can be a pain in the rear when it comes to waiting / seating time! Employees try their best to entertain the masses but are simply overwhelmed. The food portions make up for the wait.

My wife suggested we eat here and sure glad we did. The food was fantastic and the service was great. We really enjoyed our dinner here. What we found amusing was they had robotic servers for the food. They would come directly to your table with your food. Really something different.

Noel was such a kind server! Great service and great food. Also really enjoy the cinnamon toast crunch pancakes, they were delicious!

I live very close to this Sergio’s but after the 4th time of bad experiences I decided I can drive to any other Sergio’s for good Cuban food. My grandson came from out of town and wanted Cuban food after driving to Miami for a couple of hours . Trying to avoid more driving for him I decided to give this Sergio’s another chance. Big mistake..the food was horrible, the moros rice was hard and cold . The palomilla steak was the worst I ever had. Even the bread was cold. I don’t understand why this restaurant is so bad. The service was good but we paid for our meal that we hardly touched and left. My grandson did not want to return the food and complain $70 and Did not eat.. we will never go back here every time we have been there is the same problem. Bad management

My first time there and I loved it, the food, drinks everything was perfect but the service was super cool Dayeli’s definitely the best. I totally recommend this place for friends and family.

Had lunch at Sergio ' s at Miami ' s London Square. Three of us had the Cuban fritas. It's suppose to be a very tasty burger. Fell far short!!

Stopped by on way home from work. I ordered 2 croquettes and 2 requests. The food was good but it took 10 minutes to place order and get food.

I love it at Sergio’s I love the food I understand the work force shortage but we went there and waited 15 minutes and not a glass of water I noticed some of the wait staff standing around drinking a Batido we waited some additional time and you guessed right no one came to our table. It gave me the same vibe as the now closed casavana restaurant in the town and country mall. See you at the Carreta hope the owners of Sergio’s take notice.

Great food and friendly staff. Not crazy about spicy food.(my wife loves it though) We were told to try it out, food was great, mine was not overly spicy and the drinks were great.

First time in the area and a co-worker recommended Sergio’s. I was not disappointed! I ordered the Vaca Frita (shredded beef), moros, and yuca. All was delicious! My plate came with plantains instead of yuca, but my very nice server Felix fixed it for me right away. So, I also tried the plantains and they were tasty... but the yuca was definitely better! Portions are large, enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Next time I am in the area I will be stopping in again. Thanks!

Taken to this restaurant by friends and was delighted to experience a touch of Cuba. Great atmosphere and the staff were extremely helpful as we worked our way through the extensive menu of Cuban culinary delight. I selected the Palomilla Steak with rice and black beans which were excellently presented and delighted the palate. The Cuban Coffee and Fudge Guayaba Brownie topped off the evening meal bringing this cultural experience to a resounding conclusion.

Excellent service and food of consistent quality. You get the exact coffee you expect every time. The best coffee in Miami!!!

The inconsistency of the quality of the food served at this location is what stopped my family and I from coming back. The servers are friendly and nice when they want to be but when they don´t, they have attitude and it is not very pleasant to be there.

Went this morning with a friend who said this is a great place for breakfast and she says she frequents often. We were seated immediately, fast service and the food was fantastic. But Cuban food is always great! Everything we ordered was just as we ordered it. The restaurant was crowded, yet we had above par service. Thank you Luby! She was sweet and attentive. Definitely a place to go to when I come back in town.

I both eat at the restaurant and order delivery and I have loved everything I have ordered. From breakfast to dinner I have tried MANY things on the menu. My default is the vaca frita or media noche, but seriously it’s all good. Their malanga soup is very good on an upset stomach. I like how they have expanded the menu over the years. Go, try, and enjoy!.......now I’m hungry and might need to order something from here

Great restaurant usually we stop over for lunch, the ropa vieja is one of the best, juice and no much tomato sauce. Croquetas no the best in Miami but on the top 3. Prices are very reasonable and good for people watching calories, you can have a good Cuban dinner with out overdoing on calories.

Foods good but the price isn’t worth it. 2 tostones for $5.50?? If it was stated how many are in the order I wouldn’t have ordered it. $16 for Pollo alla plancha, which was the smallest portion I’ve ever received from a Cuban restaurant. It was supposed to be split because usually there’s a great portion. Pan con bistec was good. $32 for this food wasn’t worth it.

Usually I love their food This morning I stopped on my way to work and bought 12 ham croquettes. To my surprise they didn’t have saltines crackers they come with it. When I asked the server what’s they are going to eat them with, her response was with lemons . I was so disappointed with this customer service I received, rather I would prefer to ask me , we ran out of crackers, do you still want to buy them ?

We are Cuban-American and I think Sergio's is very well rounded. They have great traditional Cuban food but they also offer "la flavia" menu w healthy options which I love. Their Fritas are great (Cuban burger). Good croquetas. Breakfast is cheap and good. Flan is amazing. U can't go wrong. Parking is easy too.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. The A/C was blasting pretty high as it is an indoor/outdoor seating arrangement. Food was tasty, but a little on the greasy side. Overall a fun place for a tourist to try out some Cuban food. Appeared to be a lot of locals, and a crazy busy take out business so you know the food is fresh. Good value too.

I always go to Sergio's Kendall, because I really like food. Thank you Noel for your excellent service, very friendly and attentive

Usually a pretty god place for food but tonight, a farce! Kitchen was extremely slow! When the robot brought the food, three times it called for a server to serve the food, no one ever came!! Then when we got our food, the food was cold! Horrible experience, lots of take oout when few staff who is over worked!! We are locals that livee five minutes from this cafeteria.

I have been eating great Cuban food at Sergio's since it opened. No more. For the third time in a row in as many months I've taken my family to dine, always thinking that the last poor experience was simply a rare happening. Unfortunately it is not. We ordered their famous "mariquitas" and to say they were bad it is a compliment. Service has always been attentive, and when we told our waiter that the "tostones" (fried green plantains) were old and inedible, he offered another batch, but they were the same. Finally he offered "they are the frozen kind" As if that helps. The rice also seemed to have been made the previous day and my breaded chicken was very dry. When the bill was presented they actually charged us for the second order of plantains even though it too was rejected. We do not consider ourselves overly demanding customers but sadly we're not going back to Sergio's.

Delivery is horrible. It takes 1 hr and a half for the food to arrive. I had to cancel delivery twice and I have not ordered since
take out but still good
Staying with family with little toddler, wanted to try Cuban but lack mobility at the moment, so we opted for taking out. Surprised at how good this place is. The place is nice. It is not a hole in a wall at all. It appears to be a nice classy, well decorated restaurant with good atmosphere. Will try dine in later and update. We ordered Cuban Sandwich, Empanizado de polo (crispy breaded chicken) and Back Frita (grilled shredded beef). No one recommended these because none of us had been here before. We just thought trying our luck. The fried chicken is a little overly fried. It is crispy but on the dry/hard side. The grilled beef appears to be roasted shredded beef then grilled. It was really delicious. It us not greasy. It was tender and full of flavors. We shared and all liked it. Chicken sandwich was not shared but son-in-law said it was very good. My 18mo old toddler grand daughter actually ate the entire top piece of bread. Look forward to going back soon and have a sit down meal, try other things on the menu. There are also traditional Cuban pastris in the front counter. Those look delicious as well.
