Great Lebanese food

By Cliffkol |

We visited for lunch, not many customers so the place was quiet. We ordered fatoush salad and the vegetarian combination platter. Everything was prepared as expected and delicious. Service was good, not great, but the food was excellent.

The food at the 2nd Location is just as excellent as the first!!!

By Trini27 |

I went to Shaddai's second location in Pinecrest (SW 144th St). This one is a more casual atmosphere but the food and service are just as fantastic. The basmati rice was exceptionally fluffy, the lamb kabobs were grilled to perfection and the salad was crisp and delicious. What crowned it all off was that my friend and I asked for tea, which they actually do not have on the menu, but the chef was so kind, he made it for us. It was the perfect touch to go with our desert (which was divine). As if that was not enough, they sell delightful European chocolates that I grew up with!!! A fabulous experience. Thank you Shaddai!!!

Very Pleased

By citizen0103 |

This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in South Dade. The food is very good quality, and fresh. The Chef is also very devoted to his craft and that means there's a lot of Love in the food. I've only eaten here once, but was totally enchanted with the place. We really liked their fish dishes, and their lentil soup!

Great Lebanese Restaurant

By AndyLM45 |

Tried Shaddai tonight for the first time. It is a family owned and operated Lebanese restaurant. The food was fantastic, starting with the appetizers then the entree and then dessert. Two of us had lamb. It wa perfectly prepared and beautifully seasoned. One of us had salmon with cucumber honey salsa. It was absolutely amazing. The owner (chef) came to our table to see if we were happy with the food. Service was very good. Definitely a place to return to.

Eclectic Middle Eastern Fare with a Flare

By KTIngram |

Shaddai serves an interesting blend of middle eastern fare with a very pleasant flare. The service was very pleasant and efficient. Our group of 10 ordered a bunch of appetizers; the stars were the flavorful falafel, fried cheese, and stuffed pita. Honorable mention goes to the chicken wings, which were well cooked and flavored, but something of a surprise in a middle eastern restaurant. Our group ordered a range of entrees and lighter fare for our main course, which everyone enjoyed. The lamb kebabs were especially good. I did not expect much when I entered the parking lot of this strip mall, but I come out having had a satisfying meal and an enjoyable evening.

Amazing food!

By Twztr3423 |

Food was delicious! I've had middle east food before but the party I went with had not, server took the time to explain and suggest accordingly. The whole experience was amazing. Sangria delish! Owners on site.

Not good at all, don’t go.

By Eliza M |

Only thing good was hummus, tabbouleh was bland, was missing garlic, pita bread horrible hard, dry and was probably old!!! Mesa in Pembroke Pines is the best!!!

Best Lebanese food in Miami

By benuflaw99 |

Hands down there's no better Lebanese & maybe even all Middle East food in Miami. The place is owned and operated by a lovely couple - husband cooks, wife serves. What a great dining experience. Best Kibbah I've ever had!

Great tasting food

By darren h |

Always seen this restaurant and always busy which is a good sign. Walked past the other evening with my wife and was not so busy so we tried. We wasn't disappointed. Food was great. We started with the hummus and pita and lemon wings. Very nice. Then I had the lamb kofte and my wife had shrimp. With rice and salad. We totally enjoyed all. Nice atmosphere. Chef served us our wings which was cool and I promptly ate one and gave him my opinion, which we both liked as they tasted great. Well worth a visit.

So happy to explore the cuisine

By passportwilltravel |

Shaddai makes delving into Lebanese cuisine easy. I have enjoyed Mideastern cuisine, though have not parsed the offerings from the various countries in the region. Hummus is hummus, etc. So now I am happy to be introduced to some of the more novel, perhaps specifically Lebanese dishes at Shaddai, and the management and waitstaff there are very enthused about helping us to do so. Order the mint tea; it comes in a tea service with warm honey and the accouterments will make you feel that you are not in Miami! The Lebanese "styled" chicken wings (Jawaneh) were DELICIOUS, as was the raw version of kibbeh (Kibbeh Nayeh). It comes heavy on raw onions, so ask to modify if you're sensitive to that. Salads were crispy and fresh, and the lentil soup was dark and flavorful. As mentioned by a prior reviewer, the lamb is not presented as a rack, but rather individually. My husband, who is a lamb-lover, states that this is one of his favorite preparations. We did not try any of the kabobs. This is a mom-and-pop restaurant which has taken a popular strip mall space and made it into its version of a Mideastern restaurant - no professional design firm is apparent, but the effort appears to be directed to the end results from the kitchen, and for that I am very glad.

Family run

By Beverly M |

The food is good and the people are very nice I had the chicken kabobs over rice and salad. the tip is included in the bill.

A Warm Friendly Family Owed and Operated Restaurant

By CarolynandBurton |

They remember who you are even if it's been a while. We are welcomed as though we are family. Nice decor. I enjoy their rack of lamb, and many of their dishes that I can't spell.

Is Tis Lebbanon

By edjoy2014 |

No It is South Miami and without question the best lebonise restaurant I have enjoyed dinning in! Even the owner Tony came out to keep an I on us to be sure we were having a great meal. Our server. Savana was great great company, great service and even better food.

Verry good Lebanese

By MrEd3 |

This was our first time here. We were very pleased with everything. The food was great. We will definitely go back

Highly recommend

By AKgrits |

My partner and I stopped by for lunch so we ordered lunch specials. We were both happy with everything. I had the sampler so I could try more things. There was just the right amount altho I took some with me so we could order a dessert of ladyfingers to share and I was glad I did as it was amazing. The restaurant was in a strip mall, but it was a different world inside. Staff was pleasant and efficient.

Great place

By Ana A |

Awesome food. I have been here several times and I love it more each time. The lamb kabob or any kabob is delicious. The rice they serve on the side is addicting. I dream about the tabouli salad. Try to go with a group so you can try everything. A must is the chicken wings. Sometime is hard to get a table. But is worth the wait. See you there. I'll be the one with every dish in the table.

Wait to you taste their food!

By sealcoater |

The owners of this restaurant had another very successful restaurant for eight years some where in the North Dade County and fortunately for all of us in South Dade they had to move. This restaurant is one of a kind. The food is Lebanese delicious! Everything and I mean everything is excellent. To write any more is not necessary!

Truly amazing meal!!!!!!

By Bombero590 |

I must say one of the best food experiences I have ever had while in Miami. The food and atmosphere at this establishment will truly amaze you. I truly believe that you can not go wrong with any selection you choose from on there menu. All the food is made with such love that the true flavor of Lebanon comes through. The chef/owner even came out personally to check in on us at our table which made our experience that much better. As for the must try item I would have to steer you towards the humus for sure we also had the fatush salad which was killer with the pita crutons and sumac dressing. If you looking for a real unique taste try the kibbeh nayeh (lamb tartar). Yes I know its raw lamb but trust me it is well worth the try. When combined with the raw onion and the fresh herbs the lamb just has a flavor like nothing else, besides its the national dish of Lebanon and it always pays to be adventurous in this Yelp world we live in.

Exceptional!

By made1024 |

Love this restaurant, it's food and service. The food here is authentic and always fresh. The Shaddai Platter which has hummus, babaganoush, stuffed grape leaves, fried kebbeh and tabbouleh is one of my favorites. It's good enough to share. The kebbeh nayeh, which is raw meat mixed with wheat and eaten with bread or lettuce leaves, is one of the best I have had. The lamb kabob entree has 2 kabobs with soft lamb meat and served with rice and salad (also good to share if you had the shaddai platter as an appetizer). The rack of lamb is delectable and also good for sharing. The mint tea is superb and served beautifully. We had no room for dessert, but if you do, I guarantee that anything you order will be delicious. Highly recommend it. It is situated at the very end (in a corner) of the strip mall, which is sort of hard to find from the street. Plenty of parking too.

Delicious middle eastern

By ana carolina f |

We love middle eastern food and totally aproved this restaurant! We ordered a mix with 5 plates ($35) and one raw meat kibe ($11). It was more than enough for two people (probably the mix would have been enough). Everything was delicious! I intend to come back many times!

The best lebanese food!!!!!!!!!!

By best10200 |

Tony and his family have the best Lebanese food in Miami. They are all very friendly. We have been coming since it was Arabian Nights in Doral.

Great place for lunch - great value for money

By etwinschm |

We really enjoyed having lunch at this place. The staff is very friendly and quite attentive. Furthermore, the ambience can be described as casually elegant with a Middle Eastern touch - all in all, very nice and clean. The food is really fine, yet you should not expect outstanding Middle Eastern fine dining - really down-to-earth and that is what makes it so good. Last but not least, the prices are very moderate by Miami standards and you get great value for money.

Very Pleasantly Surprised with the Taste of the Mediterranean Food.

By Alfred R |

We visited the restaurant for lunch not totally sure of what to expect of Mediterranean Style Food, and we were very pleasantly surprised! Their service was excellent, the kitchen staff even came out to see if we were satisfied and including their deserts were delicious!

Sad enterprise !

By Sumathi S |

Great tasting overpriced food with terrible customer service ! The waiter looked like they couldn’t wait for us to leave .

Outstanding food, family friendly, friendly staff and owner.

By M_apple1 |

Our dining experience began being greeted by the owner's wife, Elizabeth. Tony, the owner, followed shortly thereafter. Greeting other tables as well. The food is outstanding! Grape leaves & kibbleh were delicious. Lamb kebab and lemon chicken marvelous. Cannot wait to come back and try more.

Good Food Friendly Chef

By Souris |

Tucked in the corner of a strip mall, this family-run Middle Eastern restaurant is a warm & friendly place with very good food. During our 2-day trip to Miami we came here twice. The deep-fried Kibbeh was outstanding. The Labneh appetizer is a very thick, almost spreadable, yogurt, topped with intense olive oil. (I ordered it both visits). The Baba Ganoush appetizer was also quite good & copious – big enough for 3 people to share. The one must-try appetizer is the fabulous, warm Foul Medames. The Vegetarian Platter main course is composed of 3 stuffed grape leaves, 3 or 4 Falafel, Tabbouleh Salad, Hummus, and Baba Ganoush. It was so big, I couldn’t finish it. The Lamb Kabob was very flavorful and very tender. It was served with vermicelli rice, some roasted green peppers and red onions. The Spicy Fish of the Day (Samakeh Harrah), which was red snapper filet, was very good, but quite spicy indeed. The fish was dressed with a spicy, creamy Tahini sauce and served with vermicelli rice. Portions are large, and we never could eat dessert. However, the hot mint tea or the Arabic coffee were a good way to top off the meal. The Chef/Owner comes out to talk to all of his customers. With service this friendly and food this good it is no wonder people keep going back.

Tasty lunch eats!

By mwooduk |

Service was good, lunch menu affordable, lentil soup was nice, albeit very salty (just a heads up for those watching their sodium intake), hummus was beautifully presented and pita that was nice and warm and fresh. My friend had the tabbouleh and enjoyed it. Overall a good experience and would return. Located in a strip shopping mall in Pinecrest, just opposite the Datran Center. Very busy when it comes to parking but there is roof top parking available as well.

Don’t force an 18% tip on a party of 3. C’mon!!

By Luis E |

Went for lunch win one of our children. Food is just ok. The shawarma beef was very poor quality. About 25% nerves. The rest just ok. The one thing we did not like at all was they imposed an 18% tip for service that was not bad, but it did not pair with an 18% tip quality service Will not go back

Cozy restaurant

By MrsJuicePlus |

There were six of us there for dinner. We shared four appetizers -- should have gotten three they were so large. The appetizers were excellent. Four of us had lamb kabobs - they were ok, but not too tasty. I really would have thought that the lamb, having been marinated for a long time, would have been more tender and reflect the taste of herbs. The desserts would have been absolutely delicious if they had not been so dry. If we were invited there I would give it another try, but not on my own.

Truly Authentic and loving food

By Hannamang132 |

SHADDAI only serves fresh, healthy and authentic lebanese food. People on TA claiming that the food is excellent which is correct but bad service. The service is great it's ran by a family, you will find the service nothing short of loving and caring people that love to see people loving there food and enjoying it. It's hard to find a clean good restaurant in miami. This restaurant is amazing, you will always be satisfied with the end result. This is no franchise corporate run restaurant. Your being fed and served by the heart and soul of this restaurant. And that is why shaddai is a 5 star. And I will fight anyone that can say that any other Middle Eastern restaurant in Miami is fresher and more flavor able than this one.

the best falafel in the state

By travelguy500 |

Stopped at this nondescript little restaurant on a tip from a friend. The food is woderfuland fairly inexpensive. The hummus, babaganoush, shrimp and and chicken wings were all extremely tasty. The truely best thing we were served were the falafels. They were prepared to perfection delicate and tasty. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED>

Authentic Baba Ghanoush and Lentil Soup

By Laurie S |

We stopped in at Shaddai on our way back to the Keys from Miami Beach. The Googled experience could not have been more delightful or delicious. With Christmas carols playing in the background, surrounded by M.E. artwork and camels, we felt transported back to our previous life in Saudi Arabia. We shared "Arabic Spicy Fish. Catch of the day broiled with tahini sauce, herbs and spices. Served with angel hair basmati rice." The fish was moist and flaky. The sauce perfect--sopped up with the rice. Chef Tony and his wife who waited on us get 5 stars. Thank you.

Gourmet Ice cream

By Alex |

What can I say; if you love ice cream you gotta try this place! It's sooooo good! Be creative when you order; if you can think of it, they will make it for you!

Not a 5, please

By Josebsan |

My wife and I came here because of the high reviews by TA members. I have always considered a 5 star restaurant one with an unequal ambience and menu. Shaddai, in my opinion, does not meet any of these two. The lamb I ordered was good, even though it said "rack of lamb", what I got were 5 chops. The place is owned and operated by a Palestianian family. The father is the cook and the kids take care of the table service. The menu is limited. I also had a raw meat entree (forgot name) that the menu said was the main choice in Lebanon. It came with pitta bread, which I felt was not very fresh. I liked it a lot. Several members mentioned the great basmati rice. I eat that at home very often and did not find it that different. The place is in the corner of a shopping center were a French restaurant used to be. I hate to disagree with other TA members, but this is definetely, in my opinion, not a 5

Excellent Mideastern Restaurant

By Cristy S |

Excellent Food! Might be a bit slow in getting served but it is worth it. Their hummus is just wonderful.

"Very Fresh"

By Kamal T F |

Indeed. It is still "Very Fresh" in my mind the total lack of professionalism by whom I suspect to be a family member of the ownership . As I am paying I wanted to make a constructive remark that offended our host and lectured me, that they are a family owned business, that they work very hard (How did he know I play all day?) that they analyze their prices, etc.. My remark was that their prices do not make sense. If you look at the menu. one Hummus appetizer is $7.00, a Falafel appetizer also $7.00 and all their lunch specials that include 3 or 4 items depending what you are ordering do not exceed $8.95 Yes he was offended. Sadly, not everyone that opens a restaurant is a restaurateur. Yes the food was edible.

Great food every time

By The-Captain818 |

Nestled in the back corner of a busy shopping center is a little gem. Shaddai has terrific "go-to" menu items that they know how to consistently prepare perfectly. Dress is casual, so just show up, enjoy a decent bottle of wine, don't be shy about ordering a few dishes, and after tax and tip you will have enjoyed a terrific food experience for about $50 per person. I will be returning. This was my 4th time.

Nice Neighborhood Middle Eastern

By Dale D |

We have been meaning to try Shaddai's for a while. It is located in our nearby neighborhood strip mall with plenty of free parking...a plus for eating out in Miami. The space has been occupied by a series of failed restaurants in a neighborhood mall of many restaurants nearby Dadeland and Metrorail terminus. My wife and I shared a hummus appetizer and it was delicious and more than enough to share. It was service with a basket of pita quarter pockets. Our two main courses were a delicious lemon chicken which was plentiful and moist, accompanied by a large bowl of basmati rice. Our 2nd main was a chicken kebab, roasted with onions and red pepper. Not spicy at all, and moist. There was enough to take home from both dinners and the kebab also came with a large service of basmati rice. We were stuffed by then although the deserts looks appealing. The atmosphere was utilitarian, with some middle eastern touches (camels, a middle eastern painting), and plain tables without a table cloth. For this type of restaurant, table cloths are definitely not in order. We would go back. The prices were very reasonable and the wait staff was very solicitous.

Good middle eastern cuisine

By Rob E |

The restaurant accepted reservation by phone, but when we arrived they had no knowledge of it. In spite of this mixup, they quickly made a place for us and were attentive and helpful for our meal. We ordered beverages and 2 soups which arrived within a few minutes, and our main course arrived a few minutes after that. Within 15 minutes of ordering all our food was in front of us, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The decor is in keeping with the cuisine, all leading to a pleasant dining experience.

The best Lebanese food in Miami!

By Jaimie C |

I was p!eased to find that Shaddai is still around and doing well. I brought family here for lunch today and we had a really nice meal of Chicken Steak, Felafel, Vegetarian Platter with delicious sumac dressing, Baba Ghanouj, Grape Leaves, Hummus and pita, topped off with Sweet Tea and sweet Espresso coffee. I was very pleased that they play authentic traditional Lebanese music and the decor is full of beautiful Lebanese artifacts hookahs, and musical instruments. This is a lovely restaurant with very friendly owners and chef, and good service. I will be back and I strongly recommend this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.

Hidden gem

By Martha S |

This restaurant is in a corner of a strip shopping center and I had never seen it before so my husband and I decided to try for lunch as we happened to be in the area and good middle eastern food is hard to find in South Florida. The wings and ayares were really good. For entrees we ordered the lamb kebab and the chicken schawarma. Both were very good. The staff was super helpful and friendly. It would've been nice to go with a large group so we could've tried other items. We'll just have to go back!

Excellent food!

By John C |

We had the shaddai platter and the kebbeh nayeh. They were excellent. The lentil soup is great. You get good value for your money.

Good food, OK service

By HectorFL |

We went last night for dinner. The menu was full of different appetizers and main courses, all of the items explained on the menu. We tried two appetizers which were very good, as well as the home made yogurt sauce and pita bread. We split the beef kaboh, which came with rice and salad and was more than enough. The food was very good and the prices reasonable except for the wine by the glass, which was from Lebanon, and a stiff $ 12 per glass. The service was fine but not great.

Fenomenal

By Carlos R |

If you are into Middle Eastern food then Shaddai is the place. A family operated restaurant. Hard work and dedication has made this restaurant a special place to have lunch or dinner and it shows in the quality of their food. You are always welcomed with a smile. The owner is the chef so you know his quality if superb and so is the preparation and deliciousness you will find in his dishes. I am a lover of Middle Eastern food and I can tell you this place is the best! A must visit! Great takeout as well!

Alright

By elioboom |

The place is nice, the family that seems to own the place are very nice, all is nice but the food which is, what's the word..meh. I didn't order the skewers but rather had a sample of hummus, baba ganoush, grape leaves, and kibbe. I kind of ate it all yet I somehow fell kinda desilusioned as in my area Lebanese food is scare and I really wanted to love it, and maybe the skewers are exceptional, and the restaurant do have rices even though the menu showed not one and I really really wanted to like it, but I guess it was not to be.

Bad Experience

By AdrianaBurgani |

Unfortunately I can`t even rate the food. I was going to Shaddai on a Friday night, so I expected it to be crowded. When I arrived the hostess told me to wait from 15 to 25 minutes. She told me "There is just one family ahead of you". I decided to wait. 10 minutes later another family arrived. I heard the youngest talking to the hostess, who said their table was going to take about 30-40 minutes to be ready, since there were other two families ahead of them. The family that was behind me got in, and next thing, the family that was after me (whom apparently knew the manager) engaged in a friendly conversation with the manager. Next thing I know, the table that arrived after us gets in and we are left outside with a notice that our table was going to take 10 more minutes to be ready, right after we saw a group that only waited five minutes before getting in. A good restaurant is not only built out of great food, but also out of good customer relations. I believe that the staff must work hard so that the customers can relax instead of being stressed.

Excellent food, great value, Love the service.

By cvaldez63 |

Tony & Elizabeth are great, family owned and operated, love the vegetarian dish, the chicken and lamb are always perfectly cooked. Service is also great! Highly recomended. Baba ghanoush w/hot pita bread, vegetarian grape leaves ,excellent

Great food, service and ambiance

By caabaunza |

We had a party of nineteen, including four kids. Service was excellent even though the restaurant was pretty full - Friday night. We tried many different appetizers and entrees - all great. Can't go there and not have the lamb chops. The ambiance is perfect for couples or families. Wine list could be better. Prices for the type and quality are reasonable.

Casual elegance, Great Middle Eastern food

By Profco |

Running an errand in a busy strip mall, I decided to make the most of my parking space and have lunch there instead of driving a few blocks and having to park again. I peered in the window of Shaddai. It looked charming, and most tables were occupied by patrons really enjoying their food. The elegant cloth napkins at lunch time looked upscale, but the lunchtime prices were remarkably reasonable. I ordered a skewered lamb sandwich on pita. It was delicious, the pita and the salad very fresh and the lamb perfectly cooked. Since I had come in for a quick bite for lunch, I did not get to try other items on the menu, but I look forward to doing so soon.

Go South for the best Middle East

By Jan R |

I'm a big fan of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food and have rarely if ever had as good as they do it at Shaddai. I have been there several times in the last few months and it has never disappointed. They serve all the usual dishes like hummus, grape leaves, baba ganoush, kibbe (raw and baked) plus a few specialties like my favorite entree, the lemon chicken. All are perfectly prepared, fresh. Tony, the owner/chef and his wife and daughter do a great job keeping you happy and feeling at home. The place has a nice relaxing atmosphere done in Mideastern earthy tones. In Pinecrest there are plenty of choices but for outstanding Mediterranean head to Shaddai.

Amazing Food, Mediocre Service

By BrumbyGully |

We ordered the chicken kabob and vegetarian platter. The food was absolutely delicious and arrived after the perfect amount of time. The main issue with the (friendly) service was the forgetfulness. I ordered a beer upon arrival, the server repeated my drink order to confirm, and then it never came. I had to order it again later from a different server. This pattern pretty much repeated itself for the duration of the meal, even though the restaurant was half empty. However, the food seriously made it worth it. The lunch is a better value. Dinner is pricey.

Poor Service for African American Customers who are not friends with the Owner

By WorldTravel2016 |

This is not a restaurant friendly to African Americans. The Manager and Wait Staff made it obvious they did not want business from my wife and I and gave us very poor service. The restaurant was generally empty with only 3-4 tables occupied. The staff showed a lack of interest in seating us and then they made us wait 10 minutes before we received menus. Then the staff tried to avoid coming to our table when we requested additional items. In the end the staff gave us the food we ordered and eventually the bill, but tried to avoid our table when we wanted to pay until we had to chase the Manager to pay. We have been to this restaurant twice and had terrible service both times and watched tables next to us get great service while the staff walked right by our table looking the other way. Even though the food is good, we will take our money to another restaurant who is willing to provide good service to African Americans by "voting with our dollars".

Finally found great Mid Eastern food again

By E T |

Our favorite Mid Eastern-Lebanese restaurant had closed a few years ago, and we were unable to find one as good..until we tried Shaddai. The food was great...Tony, the owner and chef, made it his business to greet everyone, and our server was attentive and anxious to please. we cant wait to go back

A lucky find.

By Steve361 |

Just managed to squeeze in here, after looking at the queue for Shorty's and glad I did. Families were waiting for tables but as a single dinner I was able to jump the line. Had great tasting Falafels for a starter followed by the best lemon chicken ever a really buttery lemon sauce loads of meat ,rice and salad all that and a couple of drinks for $36 I will definitely return here when I come back.

Best Mediterranean Food In Miami-Dade

By Stan J. Dominick |

I have had Mediterranean/North African/Middle Eastern Food overseas before and this place reminded me of the food from those places. Everything here was great. All of food, you can tell is homemade by way it tastes. Anyone that comes here to eat will get great food and a fun atmosphere. FYI Shaddai is also opening another place in the mall located on US1 and SW 144th St., for those farther South.

Pleasant surprise

By poolpt |

Found on Yelp - had to wait. The initial greeting was a bit awkward, but the food was excellent (even my children enjoyed the kabobs and rice); the chef is personable and you can tell he loves what he does. Plus it turns into a birthday singing club with a light show, dancing and music. House wine rec was superb, cab franc blend, hummus with steak excellent, smooth.

Very nice little place

By Le0n100 |

Good lamb kebabs, excellent angel rice. Good service. Very nice little place. Reasonably priced. Minus: pitas are not house made, are not fresh.

Best Lebanese restaurant in Miami

By Hannamang132 |

As you walk and you automatically greeted by a friendly face. A family-run restaurant with the motivation to serve the freshest and Best Lebanese food in Miami. The best kebabs and the best Lebanese appetizers. Also a great selection of different types of red and white wines. They also have a Lebanese beer called Almaza. A beautiful light Lebanese beer. Shaddai is the real deal truly the best.

Best middle eastern in Muami

By Jackie S |

This is about our 30th time we have eaten there... We always take our family and friends there, as it’s always great! Tony and his family are so welcoming and he treats everyone like family.. Tonight was special as it’s the first time there since hurricane Irma. Best Lebanese food available in Miami FOR SURE! Everything fresh and cooked to perfection! Thank you for a perfect meal..

Good food and good lunch specials

By Chingolo |

Me and my family enjoyed the food Food was fresh and tasty We will be back Please see my pictures of the menu from my March 2016 visit .

Disappointed

By Larry S |

I eagerly anticipated dining at Shaddai as other reviews stated it was the best Lebanese food in Miami. I was not impressed! The lentil soup was bland and watery. The lemon chicken was over-salted and uninspired. The portion was small considering the price -- 3 strips the size of chicken fingers. The angel hair Basmati rice was good. Perhaps I did not order dishes representative of the chef's talents? I won't be going back soon to find out.

Excellent Dinner

By sanibelon |

We were on a vaca in Miami and decided to try Shaddai, based on the menu and reviews. We were not disappointed! the food is excellent and so is the service. We had the Beef Kabobs and Samakeh Harareh (Spicy Broiled Fish). Both were excellent. For apps we had the chicken wings, they were amazing! definitely will stop by again on our next visit to Miami.

Consistently Good

By Edward d |

My second time eating here. Service is good, the food is very good. The Chicken Kebabs are one of the best I've had in a very long time. Hummus, fatoush, kibbie were very good as well. Nice eatery located quite close to Dadeland Mall.

Best Lebanese food in Miami!

By ApplePie2007 |

Excellent food and service, by far the best Lebanese restaurant in Miami area. Menu is extensive and ingredients are all fresh. Really nice and present owners. Highly recommend!

Food Ok, service bad

By SC2345 |

This restaurant is overrated. The food is ok, nothing sensational. I ordered one of the kebabs and found it too spicy. My companion's Rack of Lamb had an excessive amount of fat on it.The appetizer we ordered said it contained yogurt, yet when the dish was brought we had to ask for it. Main dishes were brought to us while we were eating and had not yet finished the appetizer and the salads. This is one of the only restaurants I have ever been to that did this. In addition, appetizer dishes and salad plates were left on the table during the whole dinner and were taken away only with the entrees. Over all were disappointed. Will not return.

Enjoyable lunch

By YStraveller |

Our first visit to Shaddai was on a Sunday afternoon. We had been looking for Lebanese food and a friend recommended this restaurant. Luckily, since we were hungry the restaurant was not very full. We were promptly greeted and the server helped us choose a variety of appetizers offered as a combo. As entrees we ordered different combinations of the kabobs and all the meats were tender and well seasoned. We saved room for dessert and were not disappointed by the choices. We had a very enjoyable lunch and look forward to a future visit.

Good food!

By Aleja5 |

Family owned and operated restaurant. We order the appetizer platter. It was more than enough for 2. We did not have space for anything else except dessert. The hummus was very good.

Great Mediterranean food

By denitrip |

Finally a great middle eastern restaurant in Kendal area! Great hummus and appetizers, soft warm pita bread. Came in for a taste and will definitely return for a full meal. Everything looked very appetizing!

best by far!

Good Food But Beware Staff Adds 18% tip to Your Bill

By rolandlinda1 |

My wife and I invited a friend to have dinner here. We were very pleased with the quality of the food and service. The only disappointing item was that when I got the bill I noticed that they had added 18% to the bill. I really don't like staff deciding for me what I should tip especially when I ordered a fairly expensive bottle of wine for dinner. So beware because you can easily double up on the tip. Otherwise we had a very nice evening. Suggest that you call for reservations.

Best mid eastern restaurant around here

By Girish K |

This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants that I have eaten in Miami. The food was amazing, their house wine was one of a kind. The desserts were the highlight. Everything was so fresh.

never have waited an hour for a meal

By Ricardo P |

service was nonexistent, The appetizers and beer came quickly then the dinner took an hour to be serve ,the rack of lamb was cold, the rice excellent, the fish and kabobs good. Service atrocious, nobody came to our table after the appetizers for one hour. Worst all the dirty trays in a cart were behind our table, I have never seen such a lack of attention to the customers as I did today. The dessert awful and dry. I do not know how this restaurant got there ratings. I would not go back. There are better restaurants in Miami. We where two couples and none of us would go back.

LEBANESE FEAST

By Miles Archer |

My wife and I shared a platter of Lebanese foods, including stuffed grape leaves, hummus, baba ganush, and more. And we shared an order of lamb kabobs. Lots of tasty food. Pleasant atmosphere. Good service.

Good food, not so good service

By Louis F |

We were excited to try this restaurant in our area but left a little disappointed. The food was very good, but the service was not as good. We waited a while for our order to be taken, no one ever refilled our water glasses until we were paying the bill and it took quite a long time to clear the table and bring us the bill. We will probably give them a second try in the future, hopefully this will improve.

Excellent Lebanese cuisine, large portions and very friendly service. We will make Shaddai a regular dining spot. Also, very reasonable prices.

Very Nice Lebanese Family Restaurant

By L C |

Went to the plaza and found this Lebanese restaurant in the corner, and decided to try it. Very family oriented, original restaurant with fresh, great food. Had fish dish and the beef kabob, along with appitizers and desert. Coffee is great. Authentic food (and I can compare because I lived in the Middle East for 2 years).

Excellent Lebanese/Mediterranean Cuisine in Pinecrest

By ticarotravels |

Though it's in a strip mall, this place has excellent food, and excellent service. Coming from a Lebanese/Haitian background, it is hard to find places here that make Lebanese food as good as home...this place excels! We didn't get a chance to try everything, but from what we did try: falafel, farmer's white cheese, kibbeh, tabouleh and hummus, they were all very tasty and fresh. Very happy we came to try this place as we will definitely be coming back!

Excellent! Highly Recommend

Whilst staying in Dadeland we looked for a restaurant within walking distance of our hotel. We read about Shaddai on TA and decided to try it and so pleased we did. We turned up without a reservation and it was absolutely full. The waiter asked us to wait for a few moments and he magically sorted a table for us. The staff- I believe a family run restaurant were polite charming attentive and could not do enough. The food was excellent..presented beautifully and tasty and hot. The atmosphere warm and welcoming. I would have no hesitation in returning to the restaurant or recommending it. I visit Miami approximately once a year and will be back! I would however suggest that you make a reservation and not turn up as we did as after we were sat down they unfortunately had to turn away people who didn’t want to wait!

Devoted Chef

This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in South Dade. The food is very good quality, and fresh. The Chef is also very devoted to his craft and that means there's a lot of Love in the food. I've only eaten here once, but was totally enchanted with the place. We really liked their fish dishes, and their lentil soup!

Best Middle Eastern Food in Miami

This restaurant is amazing. It's a family owned restaurant in a strip mall but the food is absolutely out of this world. My husband and I went of a Friday night for the first time and we loved it so much we ended up going the following day with our son and his girlfriend; everyone loved the food. Let me just say that I order the "Rack of Lamb" in most restaurants that I go to, this is absolutely the best, it is served with basmati rice. There is a fish dish which is called "Samakeh Harrah" and it's a bit spicy because it has tahini sauce (you can ask for mild or spicy), the mild is spicy and the spicy is really, really spicy, so beware. In any case, this fish dish comes with a tahini sauce which is out of this world and it is also served with basmati rice. All the meals are first served with a mediterranean salad. The appetizers are another story, totally delicious. The Kibbeh, and the Farmer's cheese is a must order. Can't wait to go back and order the other items on the menu. Price is reasonable and the service is very good, everyone is very attentive and friendly.

My favorite Lebanese/Middle Eastern Restaurant

By 54dragonfly |

The most delicious Lebanese food that I have ever had. I love it! I have traveled extensively and where I go I am always looking for Lebanese, Middle Eastern restaurants to try. This one is by far the best. Top quality ingredients, family owned and great service. Chef Tony takes great pride in his craft. You can see the attention to details from the moment you walk in.

Enjoyable Meal

I'm half Lebanese and I must say it's hard to find a place in Miami that serves good quality Lebanese/Middle Eastern food in my opinion. This place was highly recommended to me by a friend. I decided to go with my boyfriend a Saturday around noon to have lunch there. It surprised me to see it empty but I guess it was the time (maybe it's a more popular place for dinner rather than lunch?). Anyways, when we walked in I liked the overall decor, though the music could have been better (more audible). Our waitress was alright, although not incredibly nice like I would have expected of someone who seemed to be the co-owner (chef's wife). Given that prices were on the expensive side, we opted for having appetizers (hummus, baba ghanoush, and kibbeh) with pitta bread and sharing a plate (lamb kebab w/ rice and some french fries). The food, truth to be told, was very good! Seasoned well and tasted fresh :) We also enjoyed some Almaza (Lebanese beer) beer with our meal. Lastly, we ordered what was possibly my favorite: the knafeh! This is something that I haven't found anywhere here in Miami. I was so pleased to see it on the menu and it tasted very homemade like. Overall, it was a bit on the pricey side but the food was so good that I would go back, not often, but surely I'll go back.

Excellent, fresh, and well prepared Lebanese for in Pinecrest, FL

By Jaimie C |

The chef boasts that his food is all very fresh and-well prepared. Based on that,we went to find out for ourselves if Shaddai was all it claimed to be. We were extremely pleased to find the very freshest and tastiest Lebanese food we have ever had in Miami We went for lunch, and the cost was super reasonable.. I would highly recommend Shaddai. Go try it out!

Authentic Lebanese with Great Service

By suef786 |

We have had the pleasure of dining here several times now and each time our experience is wonderful. This family run restaurant is a neighborhood gem. We can never decide on one or two appetizers so we do an appetizer combo for the table. Everything is extremely fresh and delicious. For an entree someone in your party should order the lamb as it is to die for. The kabobs are seasoned so well and the meat is always tender. At our last visit we decided to go all out and also order the dessert combo which features about five of their most popular dessert items. It was incredible, again a must try for a party of four lucky enough to be dining here.
