Good meal and atmosphere here. Elia took great care of us. Might be an idea to make a reservation as can be busy.

Located in Smith Tower, we had fish and chips (pretty good) and salmon and chips (not recommended), which included all you can eat fries. Ordered 2 beers on draft: Mack & Jack Brown Ale and Manny’s Pale Ale- both beers were local and very good. Total was $38.67 before tip.

Stopped in this Irish Pub in the Pioneer Square area of downtown Seattle on a Monday afternoon. It was our last meal before heading to the airport and was not bad but also nothing special. However, in all fairness, we did eat at some really great places over our 4 day stay in Seattle so we are comparing our lunch at O’Donnell’s to other meals. On the plus side they had some good Irish beer like Smithwick’s.

We were headed to the Smith Tower Observation deck and had time to kill. So we headed over to this pub which is about two storefronts down and hit up the happy hour. Ryan was great. He was super personable, extremely conversational and made us feel extremely welcome. We had a couple drinks for happy hour and then left. Good spot for happy hour. Generous pours, good environment.

We had a late lunch here while visiting Seattle. The Restaurant happens to be in the oldest sky scraper in Seattle which in and of itself seems to add Charm to the place. We had the Reuben Sandwich and the fish and chips that were both outstanding. Our waitress seemed to know all the best places for us to explore and didn't mind answering all our questions. Just a helpful note, if you are driving a rather large truck you will find parking in downtown difficult at best. "Not to Worry"', there is a open air parking lot just across the street from the restaurant. We would of loved to go back here dinner .

Delightful Lunch last Thursday, 8 of us and were seated in good time! All dishes arrived on time and were delightful. Great beer and nice waitstaff. Knowledge of Beers on tap was apparent and helped those of us who were not big beer drinkers choose the right beer for our taste. All in all a 10, we were all pleased with the variety of food on the menu from Fish and chips, soups, salads and sandwiches. Guinness and Harp on tap! Will return again and again!

There are several Irish Pubs in Pioneer Square. We tried 5 of them. Shawn O'Donnell's was heads above the rest. There fish and chips are to die for. The clam chowder was better than at the Piers. The coleslaw was fresh and tasty. The staff was prompt, courteous, and helpful If you get to Pioneer Square you really need to stop by.

I came in on a Trip Advisor recommendation and ordered the spiced coho salmon. It came out fairly quickly, but was dry and overcooked. The bartender checked up on me and was truly insistent that they make it right. It came out much better. The clam chowder absolutely rocks! I’d happily go back.

Visited the evening after watching the Seahawks play. Choose this Pub cause it was walking distance to our Hotel. Food was good and service was friendly. We expected it to be busy and it was, however a table nearby was exceptionally loud and rude and was so large that overflowed and stood in the walkway so nobody could get by not even staff or servers. I felt that the manager on duty should have addressed this with the group and asked them to keep it down. There was a gathering of violinists who showed up and played however you couldn't hear them over this inconsiderate group. Worth another visit though as highly unlikely to happen again.

Really enjoyed this Irish pub, Good food and our server was really nice. Food was also good and they had traditional music which was a nice treat. Was here mid week so would love to come back on a weekend and will for sure have a night out here !! Thanks Shawns!! 10 out of 10

We were here for lunch twice and dinner once. We thoroughly enjoyed this pub and the food was really quite good. The atmosphere was pretty busy the first time, a mob scene the second time, in the evening, and quiet for lunch the next time. But, every time, we got great service and good food. That's really remarkable.

Nice atmosphere, super friendly staff, great location for the stadium. The food was mediocre - breaded fish and chips when I had high hopes for “proper” batter an Irish bar! Given how busy they must get with the stadium, I suspect it’s a turnover thing, the food was out quick so can’t expect gourmet. Anyway, perfectly fine.

My husband and I dined here because we were staying a block away at the Marriott and it was convenient. We ordered the 4 pc. fish and chips and a bowl of clam chowder and split it. We also had 2 beers and 1 soda. The total bill with tip was $40. We chose to eat outside due to covid and it was also a nice evening. We enjoyed our food and also were entertained by watching the activity on the street. The service was very good. We planned on coming back again before we left but ran out of time.

Stumbled on to this place as a chance to grab some food and a beverage before the Seahawks home opener. I had Irish Boxty Cakes and my wife had Fish & Chips. She had a Manny's and I had a Mac & Jack. The Irish music in the background with several sporting event TV's made it a great pre-game preparation place. The service was outstanding and we felt very welcome. I will mark this location for future business from me. The Boxty cakes come with a sauce that has just a hint of horseradish which I would love to take home with me. This is definitely a can't miss location. Jeff was a great host and was very attentive to our needs.

I can't complain at all with the food, drinks & service. We had a good meal & the beers r very nice.

I cannot understand why Shawn O'Donnell's is not PACKED every night! Their food is great, customer service excellent and pricing very reasonable. I had the Harp Lager and it was excellent! The fish and chips are freshly made with bread crumbs, not greasy and TO DIE FOR! There Mac n Cheese is loaded with flavour. The Harp and fish went well together. Coke and Mac was the other good paring. The patio needs some glass breaks to drown out the noise but sit inside and enjoy some conversation!

My wife and I ate there twice on our last trip to Seattle. We watched college football and the staff took great care of us. Good food and beer!

One of the best pub lunches I've had since Ireland. Corned beef and cabbage was plentiful and NOT overcooked and came with real mashed potatoes. Fish and chips was also excellent, though the chips were a tad greasy. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, terrific recorded "trad" (traditional Irish folk music). A great find at Pioneer Square, near the railroad stations.

Came to Seattle for a family vacation. There are 9 of us on this trip. We had no problem being seated. The service was great ant the food was even better. Would recommend to everyone to stop by.

Found this place quite by chance . Having been told of excessive waiting at other places this pub was a godsend. Great welcome, great service , great mack and cheese and an awesome Reuben sandwich. Thank you

Good variety of Irish dishes. Fresh ingredients and creative dishes. Hometown feeling in a comfortable setting. I had the potato pancakes and they were delicious. As a bonus it was happy hour so my meal was very inexpensive.

We had a fantastic lunch there - fish and chips, and fish and chowder with unlimited french fries. Our meals were served pronto, and - oh, so delicious! The fish was fresh and piping hot, the tartar sauce absolutely fantastic! Great service, great ambience, and great food - what else could you wish for?

Stopped by for Happy Hour, best food and drink specials I have come across in Seattle. Great Service & overall pleasant atmosphere, would definitely come here again!

This might be a nice, relatively authentic Irish Pub - but we were inundated with a sea of blue and green monsters - and then when they left, the bar started playing loud, terribly distorted Irish music - at least that was what I thought it was - so loud, the waitress messed up our order twice (she could not hear us). Beef stew and shepherds pie were good - just prepared on industrial scale. Great bread pudding. I would give them another chance, with earplugs.

Staff was excellent and the food was tasty. Loved the fish and chips and excellent bewritten selection. One of the best

We made a reservation online for 6 people in the morning, got a call to confirm later that night and upped it to 10 people and they were very accommodating with it. The only downside was once we got there (20 minutes early), there were only 8 chairs but there was a reservation sign on the table. We ended up having 12 people show up and there were just enough spare chairs/stools around to make it work. They just so happened to be having a Guinness Blonde promotion while we were there and suggested ordering it so a bunch of us did. We ended up getting free stuff (t-shirts, hats, scarves, koozies and bottle openers) but they ran out of beer and one of the guys had to get something else. The food we had was excellent. Nothing crazy but good quality fish & chips, burgers and spirits. I don't think it's exactly true irish food or an irish pub but it's all good and fun. We liked that this place wasn't too crowded because it was far away but still close to be a short walk.

Went here for lunch before an underground tour nearby. Convenient. Service was pleasant, but kitchen was slow even though we were after lunch hour and few people were dining. Bacon burgers were good, chowder just so-so. Fish and chips pretty good. One of the better options in the neighborhood.

Location is awesome, food is delicious and service is great! Portions are very generous. Out of shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie, beef stew and fish and chips that our large group had, the stew stands out as the dish I would most recommend. Prices are not the lowest, but then again, what would you expect for this location, and also -- totally worth it. I would highly recommend taking a self-guided tour of Smith Tower (it's $10 per person!), and stopping by for a bite or a lunch at O'Donnell's afterwards as a saturday morning activities.

Traveling on a bus we wanted to have some Irish food, this place was close to where we stayed. We ordered Corned beef and cabbage with potatoes. The Corned beef was great, cabbage a little tough and potatoes cold. We also had bread pudding with ice cream which was awesome. Service a little slow, for not being busy, but would go again.

We stopped at O'Donnell's before our visit at nearby Sky View Observatory. I was conquered by their Bodhizafa (IPA) beer and strongly recommend to try it if you appreciate the bitterness and defined flavor of IPA beers. My fiancé also had a burger: it was juicy and tasty! Definitely a good place to stop for a quick meal and a good beer.

Recently dined here after a long day and was happy with the selection of food and drink. The atmosphere is relaxed and comforting , the service is good and it was a great way to unwind. This would also be a great place for a bite and a beer before attending a game given how close it is to the stadium!

Food was awesome, service was good, reasonable prices, and a good atmosphere. Would absolutely recommend to everyone!!

Stopped in for happy hour stayed for dinner. To start off service was friendly and fast. Had shepherd's pie which was excellent. Hubby had mac & cheese with corned beef. He loved it. Took bread pudding for dessert to go. It was awesome! Super local restaurant!

We stopped in for a drink and had very friendly and quick service. The atmosphere is wonderful, like an old time Irish Pub.

Great food, great staff, we stop in often before the game. Irish boxty cakes are a good choice if your not in the mood to count calories.

I have never had a bad meal there. Their $9.99 lunch menu has awesome choices and all are outstanding in taste. From fish and chips to bacon burger. You can't go wrong with lunch here. Just tried their new chicken pot pie. Wonderful. Pastry crust. A must to try.

We had reserved a table before a Seahawks game and our reservation had been overlooked. The young mad at the front was very accommodating and offered us a pint at the bar while we waited. We ended up sitting outside, because the weather was perfect. Our server Kristin was so great. She was fast and efficient. The food was honestly the best I have had in Seattle. Fish and chips and the Ruben are a must. I will defiantly eat here every time I come to town. All around the best restaurant I have eaten in Seattle.

Prompt fast food with great Happy Hour prices. My wife loved the Fish and Chips. I wasn't in love with the bacon cheeseburger. Very nice bartender/server.

Fabulous find while walking around doing the tourist thing. It was not our first choice as several other places were closed..... ON A SATURDAY! Smh We decided to order 2 different things & split them. I ordered the Jacobs ladder sandwich & sister ordered drunken wings. Wonderful food! Endless fries too! The sandwich was so juicy that I made a huge mess first bite & then made sure to eat over the plate. It was literally dripping juices everywhere! The flavor was amazing. This is probably the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten! The wings were phenomenal! I could taste the whiskey but it was just a hint, they had a smoky sweetness to them as well. Great flavor combination & I do recommend them. I don't think I'll be back only because I live so far away. What a bummer! If I do get back there I'll definitely be stopping by!

This pub is the epitome of fun Irish food and drink! The soda bread is served with honey butter. The clam chowder has cabbage in it! The shepherds pie was amazing. The pork shank literally melts in your mouth! Added to that is a fun atmosphere with Irish music and friendly service.

We stumbled onto this restaurant when we were looking for a place to have dinner, and so happy we did! I had a delicious steak dinner, and hubby had fish and chips. Great Irish beers on tap, everything was cooked well, and the servers were excellent.

My wife had a need for a pit stop and we stumbled in on a Wednesday afternoon. Empty, clean, nice bar tender . $7.00 for the drink Way to much sugar. Nothing special.

We enjoyed a great reuben sandwich on the sidewalk in the heart of Seattle. The meat was very uniquely flavored. I loved it and what a cool location in the Smith tower. Be sure to check out the historic elevators. The server was attentive and helpful. We will be back!

Came in with friends and their kids. Good place to get everyone together that is close to the stadiums. Waitress told me it was the best fish and chips in Seattle, which being an ivars guy, found hard to believe. Ordered the fish and chips which was panko crusted and were comparable with the best fish joints in the city. Staff was great and good service, fair happy hour prices, and good experience.

Wonderful food and excellent service! I got the fish n chips and my wife got the chicken pot pie and we ended up sharing both. Could not have been more pleased. The waitress was outstanding! Will return!

This was recommended to us by a hotel we were staying at and it was a solid recommendation. We each received something different and we all enjoyed our meals. I had the Irish Whiskey Mac N Cheese was the best I have probably ever had! The Guinness looked like it was double poured. All the things you want in an Irish Pub.

We were on vacation with a group of 11. We looked for a local Irish Pub and located Shawn O'Donnell's. It boasted the "Best Sheppard's Pie" I was not disappointed. There was also something outstanding for everyone ages 12 to 50. Good Service. Clean restaurant.

Not only is the Guiness excellent, the fish and chips were exceptionally awesome. The coating is different than most, but very good.

This is the other Irish Pub we tried to visit, but it was closed at 9:30pm on a Saturday Night. Too bad, I was going to get some shepards pie there.

Best clam chowder we ever had - even better than Boston according to my Bostonian hubby! Non-greasy fish and chips. Wonderful.

We had tickets to the Smith Tower Observatory and wanted a close lunch before the Observatory tour and Shawn O’Donnell’s is right next door. The food was wonderful. Three of us had different variations of fish and chips and the fries were fresh and hot and the fish was flaky and not at all greasy. The menu says that the fish is wild caught cod, and we think maybe even line-caught and it was great. The coleslaw was not extraordinary but very edible and the seafood chowder was good. The salmon and fries were very good and different from the usual fish and chips. The 4-yr old are every bit of his Mac and cheese, and the corn beef and cabbage was more than adequate for the young IT family member. We highly recommend this restaurant and pub.

Among the faux Irish pubs in Seattle this is about as good as any. They have a great line of beer, a comprehensive bar, and a good menu of short order stuff. There was nothing at all outstanding about the food, but service was unusually nice and friendly.

Staff from the underground tour recommended this bar/restaurant, and it did not disappoint. What a fantastic Irish-themed bar! They have many Irish whiskies, beers, food, and decor. I enjoyed the huge serving of whisky Mac and cheese, and my son had the enormous Rasher burger. Our beverages were a wonderfully presented pint of Guinness, a single dead rabbit whiskey, and a single Jamison black barrel. Our server was well-versed in the whiskies and knew what to recommend based on our flavor profile. There is indoor/outdoor seating, a bar, and a booth. Attentive service. Seattle prices. Beautiful Irish-themed atmosphere.

We passed Shawn O'Donnells and husband liked the menu. We returned for dinner and so glad we did. O'Donnell's is a typical Irish bar and restaurant. Menu had a lot of traditional Irish dishes. We opted for the 3 piece fish dinner. They have an option of 2, 3 or 4 piece dinner. Came with french fries and we purchased a side of cole slaw. I am not a fish fan, but this was delicious. Whitefish, breaded just right and fried to perfection. Loads of fries and cole slaw had a spice to it. It is a sports bar, so it can get busy on game night. However, we were seated immediately. There is an outside eating area, multiple booths and bar inside. Several tvs showing different sports, so if there is a sports fan in your group, they will be pleased. Server was attentive and friendly. Portions are large and price is reasonable. Liked it so much, we ate there again before leaving Seattle.

Our family enjoyed a delicious lunch here while in Seattle. They have all the Irish beer we like on tap-- Guinness, Smithwick's and Harp. Our party enjoyed fresh, crispy fish and chips, clam chowder and soda bread. Our server was friendly and appreciative of our patronage. Great, cozy Irish pub!

The server was Irish and showed great hospitality. That made the slightly above average food even better. Nice "homey" feel to the place. Would definitely go back.

We were staying in a nearby hotel, so we were here twice. The atmosphere is great---so is the food. We had drinks, great service, and really enjoyed the place!

Excellent Irish pub. We were in Seattle for a few days for an NFl game - and visited multiple times. The pub is walking distance to the stadium and has very good food and many Irish beers on tap. The great service is what stood out the most, friendly and timely - outstanding job. Thanks to Rachel, J, and all the servers great job.

Right next door to the Smith tower. Cozy outside seating weather permitting. the choice of beers was great, and the Irish Nachos was huge (will tell you all about it in a minute…). A young man came over to great us and told us we could sit wherever we like. The restaurant was quiet, it was a rainy weekday. We chose a table in the bar area as he appeared to be the bartender and due to COVID bar seating is still not allowed. Our drink order was taken and quickly served. We split the Irish nachos--potato chips smothered in corned beef, melted cheese, and fresh jalapenos--for an appetizer and a Rueben sandwich was piled high with the same delicious corned beef Food: -Irish Nachos: Potato crisps, corned beef, cheddar, tomato, jalapeno, smoked onion dip -Reuben: Corned beef on grilled rye, Havarti, sauerkraut, secret sauce – comes with FRIES Food was good, the prices are about what you'd expect for a pub located on the ground floor of the Smith Tower, and the service is very good. Verdict: Nice atmosphere, super friendly staff, great location and good Happy Hour specials 😊 I will return here next time I’m around Seattle. So nice to visit such a great pub atmosphere in downtown Seattle.

Loved the decor while enjoying mid day drinks. Atmosphere was comfortable and bartender attentive, never waited long for re-fills. Would think this would be great place to visit on St. Patrick's Day. We were surprised to find that it closes on Friday and Saturday by 9pm, asked bartender about that and said that this time of year not very busy beyond that time.

Wife was wanting fish and chips and we found a great spot in walking distance of both stadiums. I started with the clam chowder and i thought it had a lot of great flavor and depth. I would wait a second before swallowing a spoonful of this delight. It was so good I don't even remember what I ate for dinner. We wanted to stay longer as a group of people started playing music on the long table. Alas our 5am wake up call would be here very quickly. We'll be back as there is more I want to explore on their menu.

Stopped on the way to a mariners game and it was way better than expected. Chicken strips were amazing and the burgers were fantastic.

We came here for dinner and had mixed experience. The positives were the service and the comfortable seating. The drawback was the food. The corned beef was dry, the hamburger lacked seasoning and the potato salad was also bland. Overall, I would pass on this in the future.

Enjoyed our dinner - burger for me and corned beef for husband. Katelyn very friendly and great service. Seemed to be a few locals here too which we like when traveling - for an easy relaxing low key quick meal after a day of touring Mt Ranier this was perfect.

I've been enjoying Shawn's for years and just now getting around to writing a review - shame on me!! This place is fantastic! I'm here on a Thursday night and the place is packed with Mariners fans getting in a beverage before the game. The Irish fiddle music is playing in the background and everyone seems happy. I ordered what I always order: Happy Hour fish and chips and a beer!! I've been working and eating in Seattle for 29 years - and this place has become my favorite Irish Pub. I also come here frequently for lunch - you can still get a burger and fries in Seattle for under $10. And it's a fantastic burger!!! Ask for Mr. Tim's special fry sauce!!!

We frequent this place often because of the great service, food and atmosphere. It is always excellent. Have known the owner for years. Family run business. The owner is seen often greeting the customers. They have great entertainment, especially on St Patrick's day. If you are of Irish heritage or not, once you visit you will come back and claim that Irish culture for yourself.

Happy Hour is available from 3-7 pm and they have a large happy hour menu with inexpensive prices. Everything we got was fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and fast too. Highly recommend!

If you're looking for some version of "authentic Irish pub" and aren't too choosy about the details, this is your place. The food is consistently good, the prices are about what you'd expect for a pub located on the ground floor of the Smith Tower, and the service is very good. It can get super packed during event nights (i.e. if anything is happening at Century Field), and the patio area is a max of four tables at best. They do take call-ahead orders and will do takeout. They also are on several food-delivery app menus, so consider those options if you're in a rush.

Visited with a group attending a meeting. Food was typical pub fare - Fish and Chips, Shepherds Pie, Burgers, etc and all were good and reasonably priced. Nice selection of beers and they do a pretty good job of pour a pint of Guiness. Wait staff friendly and helpful, nice place for a pint and a bite if you are in the Pioneer Square area.

This was a great Irish bar with delicious food. The avocado chipotle burger was AWESOME. I had a Guinness and they actually had black current to go in it which is SO HARD to find in the states. A nice surprise. Service was great. Served by Alec who was friendly and efficient. Great spot. Definitely recommend. The chipotle mayor is great!!

Great food good beer and good service. Price was reasonable. I had fish and chips and a pint. 15 dollars. Would definitely go back.

We ventured in on a Saturday night with (3) kid and didn't know what to expect. We ended up having a great experience. We had prompt and friendly service the entire night. The staff did well entertaining out 20month old and keeping food in front of him . The place had the right amount of noise, that we enjoyed conversations and still had enough to cover our kids noises. The food was great, and recommend the chowder..

We enjoyed a nice quick and reasonable price lunch here. I had the Reuben however, it didn’t stand out but I still enjoyed. If I return I would get the chicken pot pie, it had so many flavors. The guys order burgers large in size and tasty. Drinks were great and so was the service.

got lunch today for .y crew at work. excellent service great tasting food. The burgers were flavorful and juicy. The corn beef box tails were amazing. The return was amazing and the clam chowder is highly recommended It is definitely going to be a favorite place to revisit.

Hard to find a restaurant near our hotel on a Sunday night, and this place threw us a lifeline. Great server, great menu. Corned beef and cabbage to die for. We'd have been back for breakfast if it was open.

Everything we had here was delicious! Boxtys for an app- so good with the corn beef added to them! I had the pork shanks, literally fell off the bone when I cut into them. The potatoes were some of the best I've ever had, good portions and well priced. Husband had a Rueben sandwich which they are known for. He enjoyed every bite. If you are looking to get drunk quick, may I suggest the "trash can"? Just about every liquor and topped with a red bull! It was pretty tasty, but pretty intense. Great service, great food. Wish we could've made it back for a second visit!

Great place to go for happy hour. Fun staff and the food looked great but we only had drinks. Great prices and a perfect pint, as they claim.

Stopped in recently for an after dinner drink with friends - one who is local suggested here as they do lunch here often. For an Irish bar, it was very bright.....when I think Irish bar, I envision low lighting, dark wood, etc. Regardless, it seemed like a nice place, and cute so see a couple at the bar playing jenga. Irish coffee was okay - made better when we requested they use an actual Irish whiskey. I wouldn't be opposed to trying again, especially for food!

Located near Pioneer Square, Shawn O'Donnell's is a very good Irish Pub. Our family went for lunch and order chicken wings and onion rings for appetizers. The chicken wings had a little too much sauce for our liking and the rings had a little too much batter - but both were good. Our group of five ordered the traditional corned beef and cabbage, burger with cheddar and bacon, reuben and fish and chips. All were very good. The draft beer selection made each of our party happy with all the usual brands we've enjoyed in Ireland. I thought the Harp, in particular, was some of the freshest I've tasted here in the U.S. - but my opinion might have been influenced by my thirst! The service was excellent but it was not inexpensive for lunch - probably because we were all thirsty! The atmosphere is inviting, comfrotable and fairly authentic. You won't think you're in Dublin or Galway (probably because of all the Seahawks flags), but Shawn O'Donnell's is a very good spot if you want to enjoy warm hospitality, good food and great beers.

We had a great lunch at Shawn O'Donnell's. Despite not realizing we were visiting in the middle of a Seattle Sounders game day, and thus being limited to the gameday menu, we found plenty of tempting dishes to choose from, and my friend, her six-year-old daughter, and I were all pleased with our meals. We split the Irish nachos--potato chips smothered in corned beef, melted cheese, and fresh jalapenos--for an appetizer and ate every morsel. My reuben sandwich was piled high with the same delicious corned beef. I substituted salad for french fries, and enjoyed the house-made honey mustard dressing on the side. Our server was particularly friendly and attentive. We would like to thank Shawn O'Donnell's for offering a family-friendly Irish restaurant experience. We specifically chose this place for lunch because they offered a children's menu and provided the six-year-old in our party triangular crayons and a coloring page while we waited for our food.

I am a Pot O'Gold member at Shawn O'Donnell's American Grill, and enjoyed my best grilled ribs ever here in a nice setting in the center of the financial district of Seattle, on the 3rd Street. It is very close to the Waterfront, and has the best Guinness on tap also. Rich and tasty, I would highly recommend this place to all brown bear lovers. Highest quality ever.

Entertaining decor and friendly staff. These guys know how to pour (build) a good Guinness. I tried the fish n chips, they were nice and crispy, not greasy. My husband tried the Irish Whisky mac-n-cheese and loved it. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

We wanted a quick lunch because we had a tour 45 minutes later. We were able to order, get our food, and eat within the span of 30 minutes. Tell the server if you are in a rush and there shouldn't be a problem. Food was really good and the french fries were awesome. I had the Dubliner Melt, which was the best turkey sandwich I've had in Seattle so far!

Stopped in here on the way to catch the train and it was happy hour which goes between 3-7pm. Great prices for a really good meal! We had the quesadilla and fish & chips. Both meals were tasty with lots of flavour (you also get bottomless fries)! The drinks were also cheap with $4.50 glasses of wine and cheap beer options. Really good place for a good meal at decent prices!

Stopped in on a Saturday night and easily got a table, food choices were the usual fayre for a pub.We tried the fish and chips + shepherds pie, came quick tasted fine. Nothing about the experience was memorable, it was just OK

Wow! This place was delicious! The fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection. They have bottomless fries with your meal which is great! The burgers are huge and delicious. I would definitely come back here.

Great food at a great price. Irish atmosphere, makes you want to visit Ireland! Waitress was super kind and efficient. Several Irish beers, great happy hour menu. Do try their onion rings! Not just for lunch, great in the evening too!

Well we checked into our hotel and asked the valet for suggestions for dinner. He told us O'Donnell''s about a block down was very good. We decided to try it and boy are we glad we did. It was wonderful. In every way!! Our waiter (wish I remembered his name) was very helpful and gave us his personal suggestion to answer our questions. So hubby decided on the Irish Whiskey Mac and Cheese which has corned beef and a whiskey sauce and he loved it. I tried a bite and agreed it was delicious! I had the Reuben which stated its their best selling sandwich....I understand why! Again delicious!!! It came with fries and they were so good. Usually I leave the fries go to eat the sandwich but there was something about these that I couldn't stop eating them! I asked for a beer with a citris flavor and he knew right away which one to serve. Again, he was spot on. This place was a great start to our Alaskan cruise and should we ever visit Seattle again we will go back to O'Donnell's!!!

How I review I review each place based on the area. If I give a business receives 4- stars that means they are top of their area. If I give them 5 stars that means they are one of the best in all my travels. The prices listed, also include 15% to 25% tips based on service. Customer Service - 4 Stars - Was greeted with a smile. Our host was tentative and gracious. Atmosphere 3 Stars - Nice atmosphere Food Pub Burger $15.99 - 4 stars - The burger and fries were great. The pretzel bun was amazing. Reuben $16.99 - 4 stars - One of the best we ever had. Guac Bacon Burger $16.99 - 4 stars - Amazing! We also had one adult beverage and a couple of sodas. Value So removing the tip from our bill it would have been $21.60 per person for our visit. I would say this is good value for the money, based on the quality of the food and the amazing service. We will be back!

I was able to make a large group reservation on a Saturday night, when we arrived there was no one there. There is nothing else open in this area of downtown on a Saturday night. There weren't very many vegetarian options, but the Soda bread was fantastic!

We were very lucky to beat the football crowd. This place has a very good selection of Irish favorites along with some solid pub favorites. The fries were fresh and perfectly seasoned. Plenty of IPA’s to choose from along with some excellent service. Our server Brandon was hilarious. We will absolutely come back!

Well -located for the tourist trade, this Irish-themed restaurant hit all the right notes for me. On arrival we were given a friendly greeting and shown to a booth. The menu has a good number of standard favourites and many of them have an added (Irish) twist. Inside the decor is a cool mix of Irish and American. I had the cod, fries and coleslaw, while my son had the chicken and fries. Both dishes were very good. The fish in particular had the right amount (for me) of light, tasty batter. The bill was $35 plus tip for this and 2 sodas which I thought was reasonable. Would definitely go back.

Went here 2 nights in a row. Appetizers are amazing and excellent Burgers. I am assuming all their food is good but can only review what I ate. The staff is friendly and good service.

Classic vibe, great food, drinks. Specifically, the salmon and chips are excellent. Also not a bad place to get some work done as it is not too loud during the afternoon.

This is a great Irish pub! Fantastic Ruebens, fish and chips, and love those Irish Nachos. Visited on St.Pattys and enjoyed great music too. Service was tops and the place is friendly and fun. Will definitely return here. So nice to visit such a great pub atmosphere in downtown Seattle. A great location for a bite and a brew while visiting Seattle (or after a game!) Well-done!

Busy Friday in the pub. Service was slow. My empty Guiness glass sat and sat. By the time she came around I was into water. Never checked back to see how food was tasting which meant the empty ketchup bottle remained empty. On the plus side there is a roaming magician performing at tables.

Family owned and operated. Even the hired staff feel like they are part of the family. Great food and friendly bar. Four hours of Happy Hour starting at 3pm everyday is the best around.

We ate here for lunch and had a cheddar bacon cheeseburger and Salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Nice portions and everything seasoned well. Meat cooked perfectly for both. Service very good too!

I happened upon this place after exiting the Smith Tower and it turned out to be a terrific lunch. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Jessica was the young lady that handled my table. I would highly recommend.

This is very much an Irish pub with lots of sports-related décor and Irish music with a lunch crowd that filled the place. We had prompt and friendly service and the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Shawn O'Donnell's Irish Pub is located in the basement of the famous white Smith Tower in the old city part of Seattle, close to Pioneer Square. It wasn't really busy on a monday evening, but good for us, because we got all our orders super fast! We had the " Irish Whiskey Mac and Cheese " and the " Salmon of Knowledge " with some side salad and a chowder. Beforehand we got some soda bread with (sweet!) butter, which we enjoyed as it was still hot. They have a huge variety of beer and whiskey, so if you are into special things, that's the place to go. The Mac and Cheese were really good, the Mac was on point, the cheesy whiskey sauce was great and the portion size could easily feed two people (we had to take the rest with us). The Salmon was cooked a bit too long for my taste, but the hazelnut sauce on top and the mashed potatoes made it a really good and interesting meal. The chowder was a bit spicy and there were peppers in it, what I never had before in a chowder but it was well cooked and tasted good. On the walls you find many many signs and posters (mostly with a beer/ guinness theme ;) ) and the atmosphere was nice. Wooden benches to sit on and irish music in the background!

Although Pioneer Square is dodgy this Irish Pub is a gem. The food, drinks, and service were on point and a must-do if you are in the area.

Fish & chips (to go) were delicious. Perfectly cooked fish, crunchy outside, light and tender fish. Fries equally yummy and nicely cooked. Would have loved coleslaw but it wasn’t an option, oh well!

We had a nice lunch here. Shepherd's pie was spot on and the Reuben sandwich was really good. Our waitress was very nice, a little slow even though it wasn't that busy, but she made up for it in personality. Prices were good and affordable.

This is a great spot for a brew and a burger or sandwich while you are walking around the Pioneer Square area. If you are heading the a game...also a great spot to stop on the way to the stadium. Food was cooked well and not too greasy. Waitress was super nice and funny. If it's a warm afternoon - enjoy the outdoor seating.

Breakfast before the match. Black and Tans. Sunny morning to sit outside in the sidewalk seating area.

We stopped by here on a late Sunday afternoon. The service was exceptional (by Bailey), the food was very quick to arrive and very good. You must try the bread pudding! There are also many happy hour specials. You need to try this place.

This bar and restaurant was very close to our hotel. The fish and chips special was delicious! They have unique beers, and the Irish Coffee was excellent. The service is very attentive.

My son had the Shepherd's Pie, said it was awesome! I had the fish and chips which was delish! Washed down with some great ale. Yum!

This is a great little pub and everyone thought the food was delicious ( Mac and cheese with corned beef, clam chowder, corned beef and cabbage, shepherds pie, and banana pudding. Portions are large and can easily be split. Our server was helpful and charming. Definitely would go back.

Great fish and chips (endless fries) and the service was very friendly and fast! The only "issue" I had was that I had no idea as to whether I was supposed to wait to be seated or seat myself. I waited a minute or two for someone to seat me. But the friendliness of the staff and the flavor of the food will bring me back the next time I'm in Seattle!

Good for groups, good for lunches and the food is tasty but there is nothing on the menu that is vegetarian other than fries. I usually get the salmon dinner but it's expensive for the portion. I prefer to go here for beer and eat elsewhere.

Very close to Courtyard Seattle it was good choice for us after day of sightseeing. Service was very good and the food was very tasty for all of us. Fish and chips were done very nicely. Grandson had fish and chips for first time and loved. It was a good choice for us and prices were reasonable.

Service was great, food was equally good. I had their chicken pot pie, delicious. My wife had an Emerald Isle chicken salad (soo good according to her). Both meals came out in a timely manner and our waitress was attentive despite how busy she was. Entertaining pub atmosphere with a couple of beers to wash it all down. We finished, sharing their bread pudding and ice cream with coffee. Great place to have a great meal with great service.

We found this place by accident as we were walking by and decided to stop for a bite and a cold drink. Good choice! Good food, cold beer and friendly staff.

The Reuben is fantastic. Probably the best I've ever had. The peppercorn bacon burger is also really good. Pricing is very reasonable. Portions are generous. I would recommend this restaurant and would visit again.

Stopped in before Mariner's game and grubbed down on Shepard's pie, fish and chips. Everyone enjoyed the food. Friend had a lemon drop that she claimed was better than Hit it Here Cafe. :)

Super pre Sounders game site. It was great meeting Shawn and talking about Montana. We'll be back. Kids loved the cupcakes.

If you want a great place to eat lunch in the Pioneer Square area of Seattle, I highly recommend this place. Very good selection of Irish beers. Their Reuben's are excellent! It's a close walk to Century Link Field.

Our hotel had recommended we go to the bar NEXT door to Shawns, and when we had such incredibly bad service ( or non- service) we got up, walked out and came here.Sat on the patio in the sun and was instantly acknowledged by a handsome young fellow whose name we didn't get ( which is odd because we like to ask).We spent the better part of 2 hours enjoying the drinks, appies and beer, as well as the conversation with our waiter. We liked this place SO MUCH we came back the next day after we walked out of...you guessed it, another place with no service. This time we were welcomed by a wonderful young girl who provided us with excellent service. Our waiter from the day before came to work and we enjoyed another visit. I was happy to meet Shawn on our way out the door. This is an excellent, friendly, happy place to be and they truly are glad you are there. While we didn't have a lot of food, ( wings and onion rings) both were excellent . In fact the onion rings we so good, we had them twice. You can't go wrong here ! Well done Shawn !! Give these folks a raise, I wish I knew names. The four of us were in Sunday late afternoon and Monday , mid afternoon if that helps !!

We came here for a Notre Dame football game watch (Go Irish Beat Trojans). They serve a lot of traditional Irish fare and have all the classic Irish drinks. They also take some liberties (looking at you, Irish nachos), but it works out well. I had a great time and would recommend any fellow Irish fans make their way out here for a game.

You'd think the Pub Crawl and a quick bite would not work well together, but it did! This location is also the meeting spot for the Haunted History Ghost Tours of Seattle (our next activity), so we thought we'd grab some food there. We waited only a few minutes to be seated, picked out the bacon cheeseburger and were eating within 20 minutes. Even my ever picky husband had nothing but good to say about the food. Best of all, we were in/out within our 45 minutes, and off to enjoy our Haunted Tour! The menu is limited, so you may want to check them out online before you venture in!

I walked here from the bus station. I needed a solid meal after having skipped lunch. The food was delicious and inexpensive. They have 3-7pm happy hour where they discount a bunch of different items. The bacon cheeseburger was exactly what I needed. Thanks.

We were on our way to a Mariner's game and we decide to eat before we went to the stadium. This restaurant is near the Link Light Rail Pioneer Square station which the train takes you to the stadium. The happy hour drinks were $5 for certain beers, wine & cocktails. The happy hour food was about $10 for a meal. We had drinks & food that was pretty good. Our server was the best. It was a fun time to start the evening before going to the game.

Our initial intention was to enjoy some cocktails at the bar atop the Smith Tower, but when we found out we would first have to pay about $25 each for the privilege of accessing the bar, we nixed that idea. Worked out well for us as we ended up at the adjacent Shawn O’Donnells Pub. We love Irish pubs and after having spent considerable time in Ireland and Halifax, Nova Scotia, we’re pretty familiar with quality, authentic Irish pubs. Shawn O’Donnells is the real deal. Great drinks on offer, traditional Irish fare expertly prepared and exceptionally welcoming and professional service. The Bangers and Mash were fantastic! Only wish we could have been here for one of the live traditional Irish music shows.

The drinks were awesome. Except they ran out of the vodka that was used in the drink -- really - you only have 1 bottle in a bar for a specialty drink. Food was average -- just normal bar food.

I'm a little surprised by the great reviews. I didn't dislike this place, but I sure didn't find it to be a 4 star location. We came on a Sunday night after being referred to the pub on 2nd... except there were a couple, but this one was open and the first we saw, so that's where we landed. After a look at the menu, my husband and I both ordered the fish, chips and chowder. I will admit that he seemed to really like everything, with the exception of the chowder being lukewarm, which is a big NoNo in a restaurant. I guess I'm pickier. The Fries were okay - nothing special, but there weren't many of them, just a small scattering. The fish pieces were TINY. It reminded me of getting breaded fish in a frozen Van De Kamp box. They weren't bad, but not what I picture when I think fish and chips in a restaurant. It came out super fast, so I figure it's just sitting back there waiting for someone to order it. Darn it, I should have taken a picture. Then the chowder was lukewarm. I wasn't a big fan of it in general, a little too chunky for my taste, but the temperature freaked me out... it's my Public Health Background, so I gave mine to my husband. He mentioned to the waitress that the soup was not at proper temp and she asked if he wanted her to warm it. He said yes and we were both confused if she was going to just warm the one we had or bring another, but she did bring another and take away the chilly one. He really enjoyed the hot cup of soup. We both ordered Diet Cokes and had to ask for refills even though the cups were clearly empty while she was at our table. The service was okay, but not super attentive. Overall, everything was OK. I wouldn't return though. Too many other restaurants out there to go back somewhere with a less than great experience.

Had a really good late lunch after a tiring morning seeing the sights of Seattle. Atmosphere is relaxed. The place was about half full, and it wasn't noisy. We had a booth. Food was good. Fish 'n' chips Fish 'n' salad (a healthier option!) Burger Rueben All sandwiches include "all you can eat fries." Whoo-hoo! Prices are reasonable. Service was great. Our waitress (I failed to get her name), was personable and entertaining. She had us laughing several times. It was just the respite we needed before heading out for more sightseeing. Recommended.

What a treat, wonderful restaurant in historic part of town. Four of us for lunch.. a,, ordering something different and we loved them all. Don’t miss this place,

This is going to be as brief as I can make it. Hands down, this is the best Reuben sandwich I have ever had!!! The service was also great.

Great services, had the fish and chips, fries which was outstanding and very filling. The fish was very fresh.

We have just visted this bar good for drinks and live premier league football polite clean and a good range of beers.

I went to all the “hot spots” while in Seattle on a business trip. Shaun’s was a fluke visit because I was tired and it was beside my hotel. By far this was the best meal I had the entire time I was in Seattle. The jalapeño margarita had fresh ingredients (special order) and the chicken pot pie was the best I have ever had. The bar tender was also our server and he was very attentive. You should do add the gem to your list of places to visit.

Everyone at the table had wonderful food. We enjoyed the walk to get here. We weren't rushed and enjiyed the music.

We visited Seattle in May 2014. After spending a day of sightseeing we were hungry and found this restaurant using my yelp app by looking for fish&chips in the area. It was rated highly and it lived up to those ratings. We lucked out because we caught happy hour and their specials were well priced. Fun place with nice pub atmosphere and energy. Our waiter was friendly and attentive.

Finally found a place that serves very thin breading on their fish and chips. They were delicious! I also love that the owner of the restaurant is a young guy who is hands-on and interacts with the patrons. I hope this place does really well because he has a great vibe.

We visited on a game day and was informed only offering a limited menu due to game. Was a bit disappointed since menu offered very little low cal options. Ended up with salmon and salad. It was ok, nothing special. Wouldn't go back, wouldn't recommend.

Happened in on the night of the U2 concert and it was crazy busy. Waited almost an hour, but were so glad we did. Best fish and chips ever! Loved the Irish cider as well. Can't wait for the next time we visit... will definitely be back!

This place serves amazing food!!! very fresh and oh so good!!!! also, very nice portion size, so you get a lot for your back. We were here over St. Patty's, and they had a live band!! It was a lot of fun!

In typical Irish fashion, this place delivers the good beer, good food and good cheer. I stopped by after enjoying the Seattle views from the Smith Tower next door and I highly recommend it. Their Happy Hour menu has fantastic prices. The Irish style clam chowder is fantastic - it's so tasty, and full of ingredients. I got the soda bread with it and it made a meal. The soda bread is not strictly traditional Irish, but it is soooo tasty with baked in butter and honey. The Happy Hour portions are smaller than dinner, but very generous. I sat at the bar and ordered cocktails. It wan't busy and the bartender was very willing to modify the menu recipes to my liking. The pour is generous. There are a couple of TV's that you can see from some of the dining area. There is also outdoor seating. If you are in the neighborhood, definitely stop by this place. It's a nice combo outing if you are going to the Smith Tower. I wouldn't make a special trip to get her though.

Right next door to the Smith tower. Cozy outside seating weather permitting. the choice of beers was great and the Irish Nachos was huge. It satisfied 5 of us.

Very good Shepard’s Pie and an Irish Death on draft. Went for happy hour so the price was right. Very good service and friendly staff. Neighborhood is getting sketchy so don’t go alone after dark.

Loved the food, and the atmosphere! The Cesar salad was quite nice. My daughter enjoyed the fish and chips.

Ended up at this restaurant by default, since we had to wait for an hour to get into the Smith Tower observatory which is next door. We were surprised that they DO NOT have happy hour. Their prices on food are pricey, food is average at best. Probably will never be back.

This was our first time in Seattle and were staying just down the street. Having just arrived we wanted something quick and close. We walked into Shawn O'Donnells and were immediately impressed with the atmosphere. A young man came over to great us and told us we could sit where ever we would like. The restaurant was quiet, it was Sunday evening. We chose a table in the bar area as he appeared to be the bartender also. Our drink order was taken and quickly served. We ordered the Boxty and Montecristo Sandwiches. We chose well. The Boxty was nothing like my grandmothers, sorry Nana. We very much enjoyed it and hope to be able to find something similar at home. There were four cakes to the order and they arrived hot and crispy. The Montecristo Sandwiches also came out hot and delicious! We were very full and each only ate half. Thankfully the hotel had a fridge and microwave so we were able to enjoy our leftovers the next day. The only thing better would have been live entertainment! Good Job Shawn O'Donnells!

Irish pub with a lot of Irish decorations, but the food is just okay. The waitress says "cheers" after every question you give her at the table. Kind of annoying. Close to the downtown stadiums though.

This place has really good food! I had a salad, my husband had fish and chips and our kids had chicken strips and grilled cheese. On top of the great food, the service is incredible, too. The food came up quickly and the owner brought out etch-a-sketches for our kids while we waited. We will definitely come back here when we are in Seattle next!

We dropped in for a quick drink while we waited for the rest of our family to meet us. We had a nice chat with Johnny, who was from Ireland and was working his first solo shift after training. He was delightful and handled the crowd so well we thought he was the manager! We ended up staying longer than anticipated and Johnny really made our time enjoyable! The Black Velvet (Guiness and Manger's cider) was a great recommendation and we had a fabulous time!

Very cozy and comfy. The burger was a little bit dry, maybe needs a bit more salt too but other than that it was yummy. Clam chowder was delicious! ~ @satorifoodie

We stopped for lunch - inside of the bar had a great Irish feel and Irish background music. Lots of Irish beer and menu had both an Irish and American side to it. Service was excellent. We all had fish and chips and clam chowder and both were delicious!

Walking by we were tempted to stop in for happy hour. We had a black and tan beer and fish and chips. Very good pub experience. Sat on the patio.....you do get some of the homeless panhandling once in a while so beware. There is a homeless shelter and the Gospel mission 1 to 2 blocks away.

Fair price, fantastic service and great Irish food. What else do you need while visiting Seattle? The fish and chips and clam chowder that I had rank among the finest I have ever had after traveling the world (including Dublin!). The bread pudding a la mode was so good that I could sell my kids for it. The place is exquisitely decorated and the music is set to the right volume in order to allow conversation. In short:

Shawn Odonnells was a great lunch spot after touring Pioneer Square. It sits at the foot of Smith Tower and is three blocks from the Skyview Observatory. Both the chicken tenders and fish and chips were fresh and tasty. As an added bonus; they offered Kilkenny on tap which is rare in US Irish pubs

We had a few pints of Harp and Smithwick's (of course), along with the drunken drumsticks and bacon cheddar burger. All was very good.

Great place for watching sports. Food was excellent. Shephard's pie to die for. Reuben sandwich almost too large for one person. Host quickly set us (6) up. Awesome atmosphere.

We went Seattle to do some sight seeing and if you go to the Smith towers right next-door is the best Irish pub in Seattle. The food was outstanding and the bloody Mary was excellent. We have eaten at their other establishments in Lynnwood and this one is just as good. I had the chicken pot pie and it was just like mama made. Thanks again Shawn you have a great team

My daughter and I had a few days before and after our cruise to spend in Seattle so we walked around intending to visit the Smith Tower, next door. The doors were locked and we looked online to find the hours and we called the number and got no answer. We went next door to O’Donnell’s and the server was very helpful and even went over to the tower to inquire. She came back with an answer so we decided to eat there. The food was very very good and the portions were huge!!! The prices were also reasonable for the portions. After the cruise we came back to the same restaurant, and we weren’t disappointed! We had different food then earlier and it was good! If we ever go back to Seattle, we will definitely be back.

we visited today at happy hour and had Shepherds Pie and Chicken Wings it was delicious and the service was fantastic very good value will definitely visit again
Lazy Afternoon Lunch
We stopped by for lunch while touring the city. I confess to having a a prejudice in favor of warm wood pubs with lots of advertising on the walls and a bar that stretches across a whole wall of the place. We really enjoyed the food (simple burgers and sandwiches), as well as the lovely colleen who served us. It's kind of "out of the way" but for us, it was a very pleasant part of our grand city tour.
