We went to Shiloh's with old friends -- all four of us were pleased with our meals though we didn't find the food to be superb. For example, my wife did not think her ribeye steak was very flavorful. I found the garlic fries to be just so-so. On balance, though, it was a good experience. Be forewarned -- the prices are on the high side AND they add in the service charge (20%) even for small parties (there were just four of us).

This is one of the best Kosher meals I have had in a long time, with great service with staff who were knowledgeable about their food and wine e and really took care of their customers.

I have been in this restaurant for business many times, and have always been happy. The food is always perfectly spiced and cooked. The presentation in the plate is original (see the salon carpaccio and the tuna tartare!). And the service is perfect. They also innovate and bring new soups, fishes, or dishes very often. My non Jewish colleagues like this place a lot! Of course, this is pricey...but worth the price for business meals or special occasions.

always excellent food - great steaks and burgers. The owner is very friendly and every time I am in LA i go and am never disappointed.

The food at Shilo is very good, but the wait staff sub par. Our waiter did not pay attention to us, forget items that we ordered, was very slow in getting simple items such as water, did not buss the table between courses, etc.

I've eaten here twice - once with a large group - so we got to share and sample MANY dishes - and once in the middle of the afternoon for a treat with my college roommate after a long, exhausting hike in Will Rogers State Park - and both times, I found the food exquisitely prepared, everything absolutely delicious, and an elegant, beautiful atmosphere that is hard to find in even the best kosher restaurants in New York. This is a real review, and I am not connected to and don't even know who owns the joint, so you can take this at face value. Love this restaurant! I think it may even be better than Pats - though I love their steaks!

I had the opportunity to visit Shiloh's during Chol Hamoed this April before the end of Passover and found it to be a very good experience. Located at 8939 W. Pico Boulevard in the heart of the Jewish food district of Los Angeles. There were very few restuarants open during Chol Hamoed and Shiloh's was the only fine dining. The Kashrut supervision is Kehillah of Los Angeles. We arrived at Shiloh's around 5:30 PM as we were catching a flight from LAX and were a little pressed for time. We were lucky we arrived at that time without a reservations as by 6:00 the place was full. It seats 158 and there wasn't an empty seat. The room is tastfully decorated and is very bright. The Kosher wine list is extensive and there are many choices of wine by the glass. This is a Kosher steakhouse but the menu has many offerings if you don't eat meat.We both chose large salads that came with a good size salmon filet. We also shared a ahi tuna appetizer that was excellent. What impressed me the most about Shiloh's was the service. The house was full, the waiters were pleasant and happy to meet customers requests. Service was well timed. Being a full house we sat very close to the neighboring table and had conversation with other guests. The steaks looked to be nicely presented and people were enjoying their meals. Expect to pay a premium price for dinner. Entres are between $11 and $56 There are fresh fish and pasta choices too. It's a Kosher steakhouse with very good service and well worth the money.

Went here with friends for a late night dinner. Pleasant ambiance, but somewhat noisy. Waiters were very good. Food is okay. Not the best filet mignon I've had; great roasted potatoes. Beef bacon appetizer was good. Steaks start at about $45; appetizers average $15 each.

The food and service at Shiloh's are excellent. For lunch, try the Prime Rib Sandwich. It is really amazing. Their bread is also hard to resist. Not so cheap, but then it is kosher steak, so it's not really out of line. It's also pleasant because it doesn't get too noisy. It is usually possible to park in their little parking lot or on a nearby side street.

Amazing place for lunch! I have eaten here numerous times for lunch and this is my first review of Shiloh's. This occasion was a business meeting. We started off with Tarte Fambe, which was delicious, could actually eat this as a meal. We ordered a Prime Rib Sandwich, Ahi Tuna Sandwich, Petite Filet and "Fred Flintstone" BBQ Short Ribs. The ribs were huge and extremely tasty. We all enjoyed our meal. The service was great and had a very nice meeting. Eating here is not cheap but worth the price. One hint, not an easy place to find parking. No valet at lunch time.

We had a birthday party dinner for 16 people. The food was great and the service excellent. Appetizers delicious and interesting. I ordered ribs, and it was a litlle bit too saucy, but overall a nice experience

I know kosher restaurants aroun the world. This is one of the good ones. We had to go back 2 Days after because de kids loved it It's quiet, nice ambience, very good and clean food. Very good service. I highly recommend.

The Staff at Shilo's are doing an amazing job at tending to your every need. They have a deep knowledge of the menus. Mathew was super helpful. The food was really "next level" every single dish was delicious and fresh. Compared to what I'm used to in NYC the entire meal was really well priced. I will surely go back a 3rd time...

Had dinner there on the 9th party of 3. Waited for our food over 50 minutes for appetizer Asked for manager never came by. Server said we have too many large parties, and we have small kitchen we had people walking out. Asked for steak med rare came out rare. Not recommend this place, owners don't care about guest.

We have access to some of the best kosher restaurants in the NY area and this rates up there right with them! There is definitely some confusion (menus, signage, etc) as to whether they spell their name like the kosher wine with an 'h' or not... The meal was great and we highly recommend it.

I visit this place 3 times solo. All of the times the staff treated me really bad, I think it was because I was alone and the bill it wouldn't be expensive. The waiter forgot to tell me the coke wasn't refil when I got the second one and it cost 4 dolars for one glass. I tried the fillet it wasn't special at all. The penne bolognese its to small when I asked I have to take something more. The carpaccio is missing some seasoning. The burguer is good. The food is ok but as the staff is so rude I will not be coming again

Really like this place. Never disappoints. Lots of selections [mostly for carnivores] and great service.

I was taken here on a business trip and left amazed at the great taste from all that we ate. Unbelievable taste in the rib eye and the others that has the filet all commented on the succulent flavor of the beef. The staff was very attentive and friendly.

My friend and I needed a nice place to eat dinner while vacationing in LA. We also needed good, kosher food! Shiloh's exceeded our expectations. The waiter was so helpful and the service was so quick! They give very generous portions and the food was EXCELLENT! We didn't order steaks so our bill was not expensive at all, and in general the prices looked to be average for such a nice restaurant. Don't confuse this with the dairy Shiloh's (which is also on W. Pico Blvd)-something that we almost did when looking it up on the GPS. We made a reservation but I think there are some nights that a reservation is not necessary. This restaurant is definitely one I will return to on my next visit to LA! Bon Apetit!

We celebrated our wedding at Shilo's on 12/25/14. It was PERFECTION. chef Luigi's food was beautiully presented and tested delicious. Their attention to every detail as well as the sevice was awesome. Our guests all felt very special and thanked us for finding this amazing place. Thank you Geffory for comming through. It was an unforgettable evening.

Love a good steak house and in NY we have plenty. Glad to know it carried over to LA. Had reservations for 730pm and were seated almost instantly. Waiter was quick to come over and take our drink order but that is where the quality service ended. We waited a long time for the drinks to arrive and then a long time until our order was taken. Most of the food came quickly but my side dish never came. I had to flag down a waiter, a bus boy and the hostess before we could get my side dish and by that time I was done with the steak. Steaks were excellent and cooked perfectly. Excellent value. Service was lacking and had to wait for the waiter to come back to take dessert order and bring dessert and then waited a long time for the check. Otherwise, enjoyed the food.

Great food, awesome waiter, mentioned it was our anniversary (it really was) and they gave us a free bottle of champagne! Huge portions. Would highly recommend.

We were 8 of us for dinner. Service was on the slow side ( difficult when all are Hungery ). Bread was nice and warm. Sliders ok. Salad s and soup ok. My Chicken was on the dry side. Kids liked the steak. But from ordering main till serving it took about an hour. Desserts were fine.

Great place. Service is first class. Food is great! Good choice of wines. Swinging place; many regulars go here - no wonder why, private parties head for here. Whether you want to go w/a large group or an romantic meal i.e anniversary ... it is a great place to go. The fact that it's always busy says it all.

#1 Kosher steakhouse in the world! food was amazing everything was presented nicely and fresh tasting I have recommended multiple people to come here and everyone has had only positive things to say.

Very good and very KOSHER Bit expensive Very good and very KOSHER Bit expensive Very good and very KOSHER Bit expensive

Shiloh's has terrific atmosphere, excellent service and solid food. The menu is not particularly imaginative, but for a kosher steakhouse this is certainly one of the best in Los Angeles. My only complaint is that my steaks have been consistently over-cooked. I like my meat medium rare, but at Shiloh's I will order it rare (it has happened too many times).

This upscale restaurant is very unassuming from the outside. Inside however, it is very elegant and inviting. The staff was very professional and the food was delicious. The Pinot Grigio wine (Italian we were told) was unusual but also wonderful. It is a bit pricey but the experience seemed worth it.

Just found this place thru online search but a great find, a great kosher steakhouse, great staff, great wine list, great steak, great non-meat options for vegetarians in our group. Altogether a great night out for family and friends and we'll be sure to be back!!

Surprisingly good food and good service. Had salmon, a tad overcooked, but otherwise tasty and nicely presented. Good condiments to complement bread basket. Pleasant dining experience, and kosher to boot!

Good service but not the best atmosphere! The food was tasty but wasnt really hot enough so we had to send some back! Was quite overpriced infact in a 2 week holiday across the USA it was the most expensive meal we had and definitely not the best! Probably was a slightly disappointed if I'm honest. But what we had was tasty! Not sure I would rush back!

First time at this place. Came for dinner with a friend. although I have passed by it many times I never imagine how good it would be. Great kosher restaurant. So, if you are in the city and are looking for good kosher options, this is a great choice for stake. if you are not Jewish and don't know where to take a client or friend that keeps Kosher, this is the place. I had a salmon tartar as a starter and a good stake with roasted potatoes. (the potatoes were not the best but i generally don't like them much anyway) Service, when I came was friendly, fast and very pleasant. We made a reservation and our table was ready for us. It was a busy night but I did not feel like I had to wait extra time for my food. the bread and spreads were really good. had a bottle of wine and over all I felt the bill was just right. I will definitely come back.

We were three on a weeknight an it was not crowded, which meant that it wasn't noisy- but the food was the highlight- tie for best mushroom soup I have ever had, and the duck entree was delicious- we had just eaten at another fine kosher meat restaurant the night before, so I had a good comparison, and this was just as good- Yes, the prices are not cheap, but the food is very high quality, and there were some less expensive options as well- Service very attentive, though not overbearing- can't wait to come back again- Sorry we didn't visit on our other trips to LA-

I found this place based on reviews and didn't expect to walk into a Jewish steakhouse. I only tried the steak so I can't speak to the other food. The steak was good, but not out of this world. The restaurant was not that busy yet our service was on the slow side, especially getting the bill.

Every year when I'm in LA, I get invite to Shiloh's and every year I say yes for a good reason. Not only is this a Kosher restaurant, they also provide the best service and atmosphere possible! A very nice establishment that may seem intimidating and pinky's up, but it is anything but! The staff make you feel so welcome and relaxed and love food as much as you do! I got the Shiloh burger which is made from rib eye (my favourite cut) and truffle French fries on the side...forget about it!! Great selection of Kosher wine is available to accompany whatever you decide to order. You don't have to be Jewish to give Shiloh's a try, if you love high quality food, come here!!

Elegantly decorated with a modern and sophisticated touch, Shiloh's is probably one of the nicest Kosher "meat" restaurants in LA. The food is great (by kosher standards - friends who are not religious would not call it the best food, comparing with non-kosher). However, if you are observant, this is one of the best available options. I usually get the steak or burger. Obviously, being kosher means it is more expensive than other places in the same category.

The steaks are very good (though not outstanding), the noise level refreshingly good (as compared to other LA Kosher steak places like Pat's and La Gondola, the prices are on the high side, and the service was very good. Example, my wife ordered her steak rare but it was too rare and they fixed the problem immediately; our friend's baked potato came "loaded" rather than the way she ordered it -- and they replaced that right away as well. The menu has a number of attractive options and we will certainly return!

Excellent top end glass kosher meal. We were travelling through LA and stopped for dinner. wonderful steaks etc. Highly recommended for a special treat.

Dinner birthday party of six were promptly seated outdoors on in this busy kosher restaurant. The ambience, lighting and outdoor heaters were a plus on a chilly Los Angeles evening. The cocktails and wine list were more than adequate, although the sommelier/wine server seemed inexperienced when introducing the well-priced but satisfying Spanish Rose to accompany the roasted cauliflower appetizer. The menu is varied but pricey-common for 'gourmet' kosher restaurants. The order taker was polite but seemed not to understand the nuanced requests from the guests. As a result, the hamburger and steak entrees arrived, absent requested additions and not cooked as ordered. The hamburgers-very overpriced- had to be sent back for correction. A smaller portioned blackened cod entree had little eye appeal. The saving grace were the deserts of French apple pastry and lava cake. The remainder of the waitstaff were attentive and efficient throughout.

I made a reservation online and when I called the day before to confirm, I was informed that their website was out of date and they're actually closed on Fridays. I was only in L.A for one more day so Stevie said he would open it especially for my girlfriend and I to have lunch. The chef put together a 7 course feast paired perfectly with wines and we had the whole place to ourselves so needless to say, the service was brilliant! What a wonderful experience, the food was outstanding, atmosphere was perfect and the hospitality was extraordinary! Who opens their restaurant just for you? Well if you ask nicely, Shiloh's apparently does:)

High quality food, attentive service, good ambience. A top-flight experience (with prices to match). Really liked the Maple Lamb "Bacon" (although my dining companion assured me that it tasted nothing at all like bacon). The Chilean Sea Bass appetizer was also quite good. Th ribeyes were as good as could be. Solid execution across all of our choices.

We had dinner on a very crowded night but the service was fast and the food was absolutely incredible.....make reservations before you go but this place will not disappoint

So nice to be on vacation and be able to go out to a beautiful kosher restaurant. And it serves delicious food too!! I am not a steak eater, but my companions were, and we all enjoyed our choices. Portions are sizable too, so no one left hungry.

I've visited this place twice and Unfortunately, got the same service... The place looks good from the inside, starting with a warm baguette which is super delicious. The steaks cooked well but wasn't the best i've tried. Haven't tried their dessert but they offered & show you the dessert beforehand. Unfortunately, service is very slow and every time we waited long time to order or getting the bill. Waiters weren't friendly too

I went with my friends using a coupon from restaurants.com which gave us $10 off $20. If we didn't use the coupon, a hamburger would have cost $20. Initially they didn't want to accept the coupon but they did eventually. It's really fancy in there, you should wear semi formal clothes.

We have been coming to this restaurant every summer when we visit family in Beverley Hills. We have never been disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was great! We really enjoyed the 'Carved Prime Rib Sandwich' and the 'Petite Filet'. I was sad that the restaurant does not offer one of my favorite dishes, the 'Hand Made Smoked Salmon Pasta' anymore.

This was our second visit to LA and our second visit to Shiloh's. It was not at all disappointing. We had reservations for 6:30 and were promptly seated outside - décor is elegant and comfortable - had a party of 8 with a great round table. There was live music which was not too loud. Service was excellent. Drinks are very good but a but pricy. Steaks are excellent and highly recommended. My wife had blackened Cod and although it was excellent, the portion was extremely small - considering cod is very inexpensive, it was disappointing. Dessert - Choc melting cake, which is a classic at all kosher establishments was good. Very happy with this restaurant and would return in the future.

Best meal ever. Gourmet pasta Primavera. Friendly service relaxed setting. Tablecloths and stemmed glassware. Immediate seating.

Best glatt kosher ever! Gorgeous food we had the steak flatbed and the duck. Huge potions and every bite was delicious. Fresh cooked to perfection. Place was packed so you need to book.service was also fantastic although very expensive? Worth every penny!

I was in L.A. with my wife for a week. We visited four Restaurants. We ate at one. Every night that we went out. This place is pleasant. Busy. Quiet. The food is excellent. Service is medium in speed, heavy on the care. These guys doted on us like we were regulars. On the first night! They found us seats regardless of reservation and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. The French accents were cute, but not overly obtrusive. Next time in L.A., I plan to return. If you go, plan to stop in there! Enjoy, and Bon Apetít in my best accent.

I went to Shilohs for my family's party and we were treated very well. The drinks kept coming and the appetizers were fantastic. They served everyone in a timely manner. The steak came out perfectly and the fries crispy. The waitstaff was very friendly and made sure to come around to see if anyone needed anything. If you need to make a nice kosher party in Pico, this is a great option.

The food is great, but it also pricey. I probably would not have gone if it wasn't for business. We were supposed to be in a reserve room, but at the last minute we had to sit elsewhere due to a V.I.P. Depending where you sit, the restaurant can be crowded.

I would really rate it a 3.5, rather than a 4, but that's not an option. I will give them the benefit of the doubt, and give them 4 stars instead of 3. We went here because it is kosher, and has excellent reviews. It was good, but not fantastic as expected. I had a steak sandwich with sweet potato fries, my dining companion had some kind of steak with a salad. We both had coffee. No other beverages, no dessert. Oh, I did pay another $1.15 to get sautéd mushrooms on my sandwich. Total bill, lunch for 2, $59. The food wasn't bad, but most definitely wasn't worth the price.

First time I ate at this restaurant was in May 2018, I was very satisfied with my meal. On my return to LA in June I went back & ordered the same meal. The Fillet steak. I asked for the steak to be done medium/well. It took about half an hour for the food to arrive. It was well worth the wait. Best steak I have ever eaten. Done to perfection. It as was white & pinky inside and the outside was NOT burnt as sometimes happens when requesting "well done" meat. I raved for years about a steak I had eaten in Jerusalem, Well this was better!! My compliments again to the chef.

good place, good service, OK steak, awesome appetizer (bacon pizza or something like that) in the area of allot of kosher restaurants and bakeries

This was one of the best restaurant experiences i have ever had. We had Ribeye steaks cooked perfectly and the short ribs were melting and delicious. The sides were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service was exceptional and the cocktails were generous and well balanced, not over-iced. I would definitely go back here again.
One of the best meals I ever had
Shilohs is a Kosher steak restaurant in LA. The ambiance is great, nice tables, quiet, very clean. The appetizers were out of this world and the steaks are second to none. It was pricey but worth every penny.
