By Barry S |

saturday lunch was ok....selection is greatly reduced from what i remember it was. less patrons at lunch too. less sushi offerings than before. im afraid cost cutting has cut much what was special in this place.

Best Buffet!

By VirginiaTrs |

I've been coming here for years and have never had a less than stellar experience. The service is great. The owner is almost always there checking in on diners , ensuring they're happy, with that bright smile of hers. They are constantly refilling the bars due to the high volume of hungry folk, so the food is always fresh. The sushi is absolutely delicious..lots of variety plus all the sauces your little heart desires. The cooked food, including the hibachi, is wonderful. The price per person includes the sushi bar, cooked food, hibachi and dessert. Drinks are charged separately. Just a few tips: Arrive after 5p and try the sashimi if you like, there's a yummy chocolate fountain with marshmallows to dip during the weekend. Last but not least, go hungry to get the most bang for your buck. Enjoy!

Shinju got competition with POC...Shinju good restaurant with room to improve

By Valueskr |

I have been to Shinju many times. I started going there around two years ago. It used to be amazing, then went to just good and now I don't know since I have been to POC. Shinju has good offerings on cooked side. Salads are good too. Sushi went downhill. I think for three reasons. #1. Most rolls taste the same ( I am guessing too many of the same less pricey ingredients are being used over and over). #2 Some rolls don't taste fresh at all. I understand Shinju will not compete with regular high class sushi pay per roll place, but not so fresh sushi can drive clientele away in a second. #3 Last two times I was there, the smell around the sushi bar area closer to wasabi was just too bad....by the time you get back to your table, you just can't enjoy the sushi. And if I were to enjoy only the cooked food bars, there are cheaper prices with more cooked options at Chinese Buffets. Madame Shinju is smart and knows where to invest her money. She is very nice and cares for her team and also for her clientele, I am not sure how she has not taken care of this yet. If I remember correctly Shinju did some remodeling at some point not so long ago...but not sure if that was in the Kitchen, I can't recall what exactly changed. I think it might be time to remove some of the carpet, close for 3-4 days for a thorough cleaning from A-Z. and a fresh PARTIAL remodel. Call the Food Network and tape a show hint hint ;) Bathrooms look clean, but don't smell fresh. I think something somewhere about the smell is making everything else look worse than it really is. Parking and seating are a breeze and staff are ok.

Good food, but manager has an attitude

By Steve S |

I dine there twice a week because it is close to my office. Good food, friendly staff, always consistent. This last visit, the manager, this older woman was berating the staff in such a way that customers could hear. Very unsettling and prohibiting a relaxing lunch experience. From what I gather, staff is afraid of her Big shame because it would make me think twice before I return. I cannot support a business that does not always treat the staff with respect.

Great Sushi

By Marlon N |

This is our go to place for sushi buffet. It has many selections of sushi plus 2 lanes full of regular buffet food. it also has hibachi grill where you request different food made to order for you. it is not fancy but the price and food are unbeatable

The Best Japanese Resteraunt in the Western Hemisphere

By James W |

My favorite restaurant in Miami and my favorite Japanese Buffet anywhere. They got everything you are likely to want. Especially Sushi!

Good Oriental Buffet

By bambam1955 |

If you are with complicated people at the time to place an order, just come here, this is an all you can eat restaurant, this japanese buffet offers you very good and fresh food Luch is $12 and dinner is $17 I recommend you this place, you will enjoy.

Good deal

By sunfish14914 |

Sushi in Miami can be REALLY EXPENSIVE. This is a great place to get a good deal on, not the best, but pretty good sushi. They make some inventive rolls and they have a great seaweed salad. Definitely recommended!

Goood Suushi!!!

By Kris C |

Plenty of fresh sushi, sashimi, crab leg and habatchi. Really something for every one. The family loves it. Have been coming here for quite sometime and it never diapoints

Quality not as used to be

By Canesbiggdogg |

Went with the family for dinner. The sushi is fresh and good variety. The Chinese food is pretty good. The crab legs are not the freshest and lately them seam pretty old. Service was good as always.

Happy with my choice

By Robak2018p |

Saw reviews online and wasn’t very far from me. Nice decor inside seated immediately and waitress was friendly. Keeping my drinks filled and checked on me multiple times throughout dinner. Food was decent for what’s expected but something’s were not very hot but the glazed Chinese ribs were excellent! Very good fresh shrimp, clams, mussels. Nothing I didn’t eat! Sushi was good for a buffet.

Not worth it ..

By Kiyaal |

It used to be a great place... Not anymore in this last visit, smaller selection & tinier sushi & sashimi * almost razor cut . Very disappointing also that they sit us knowing that they are closing the kitchen ... If you go there there go in between the regular time not around shift change...

Sashimi, sushi and everything in between.

By Javier L |

I have known this place for many years; I used to visit it every time I came to the Miami area when it was a high-quality food Chinese buffet. Since then it has been characterized for its good quality and freshest food. As the time went by, it was converted into what it is today. If you like sashimi at its best, this is your place. One word of caution though, sashimi is prepared on weekdays after 5:00 PM and on weekends only. Sushi and the rest of the menu are available all the time. Come prepare to wait for a bit before you are seated. I have invited many people to this place and everybody has been very satisfied.

great Asian food

By Suri T |

they have a big sushi bar with a lot of staff... they also have other Asian foods such as: soup and rice. fresh meat, shrimps, and mussels. I love the corns and crab egg soup there. they also offer fruits and ice-cream, include the green tea ice cream, but the taste isn't that good! overall, I think it's good and above!

Wonderful

By DeMontes112514 |

My husband and I are obsessed!! There is so much to choose. The sushi selection is amazing, the service is great!! This place is always full. The owner is extremely kind and friendly and always walks up to your table to greet you. I highly recommend it.

Best Japanese Buffet in Miami

By Cawowyn |

Open for lunch and dinner but closed 4-5 pm daily for cleaning. Mama Linda is the best hostess in town. She greets everyone with a huge smile and knows her regulars favorite table. If there is something you want but do not see, ask her, she will get it for you. Great selection of sushi, stir fry to order and fresh seafood (shrimp, clams, crabs).

Lots of sushi

By Robert H |

Well this buffet is filled with lots of sushi and roll and chinese food. Most places are not so free with their salmon nigiri. tho the selection at lunch was limited but it was abundant. The stir fry is not bad the sauces are not to my taste so I ask them to use only oil and sesame and I will use soy sauce to my liking. The dinner sushi has Ikura I ate about 20 pieces and smelt ikura for a couple of days. Of all the sushi buffet I've been to in the Ft. Lauderdale and Palm Beach area the one in Pines Blvd and I 75 is the best. But everyday new sushi buffet places are opening so my work is not done

Patron for over 15 years and counting!

By Theonepablohernandez |

I’ve been coming here for nearly 15 years since I was a teenager in high school and it is by far my favorite Asian buffet in Miami. The food is always fresh and never tastes like freezer burn. The hibachi grill is fantastic and the meat and veggies are fresh. Unlike most Asian all you can eat restaurants in Miami, the service is friendly. I always choose Shinju over any other Asian buffet. Try them out!

got diarrhea!

By chris_tsg |

I got diarrhea after eating there. I suspect some of the buffet food was old. I should have known better. At $ 20 all you can eat, the owner's incentives to cut corners, use low quality food or food past its due date are strong. the sushi rice was wet and sticky. I won't go back there.

cheap and lots of food

By Pamela B |

if you want to eat japanese and chinese food for cheap you can go there just 20 box and you eat as much as you can .. lots of options and good quality the place is not that good looking, the ambience is like going for fast food

Greate place fo sushi

By Luis B |

I love this place, sushis are really good, and the buffet has a good quality also you can order grill of whatever you want, shrimps, beef, chicken breast, and vegetables. and the Japanese soups are very tasty. Friendly staff, Recommended for lunch because dinner is expensive.

Best value for sushi

By 4-having-fun |

The weekly dinner buffet is $20 and the weekend is $22. They also offered a takeaway for for 0.85 per piece sushi and $7.99 per pound hot food. The seating is quick and the service was efficient, filing our glasses, delivering napkins and taking plates. The hot food station that I tasted were good tempura vegetables, dumplings, panko shrimp and spring rolls. The vegetable noodles and fried rice were good. The pepper steak was very good with tender pepper beef and seasoned onions and peppers. The sweet and sour chicken was also very good. The basil chicken and vegetables was good with little seasoning and basil but alot of fresh vegetables. With some fresh fruit dipped in chocolate sauce plus a few bite size cakes, this was a good value. However, the best value at our table was definitely the sushi bar. This plating alone would normally cost $22 but add the oysters, clams and snow crabs, this is definitely a super value meal for sushi. This is a great place for kids to try new foods including sushi plus have dessert.

Love the stir fry !

By Shallowminded1 |

One of my favorite local restaurants. Friends and I have dinner here about twice a month. It's a little pricey, they give seniors a discount if you ask them. The stir fry is my favorite. Sometimes I just like to get a pile of peel & eat shrimp. Sometimes I get a few of the sushi but I'm not a big sushi eater. By the time I get around to the hot table dishes I'm filled up so I don't need a lot from there but I always do get the asparagus wrapped in beef, that's pretty good. I like that the desserts include ice cream. The service is excellent..

It is a recommended place to go with the family.

By Manuel L |

Good place to go with the family, good buffet, good variety of suchi, some meat, wok, soups and desserts. Yes I recommend it. Good price

fresh and delicious

By Scheninj |

Great Japanese buffet in Miami. Went with my brother and mom on a weekday. Enjoyed the Alaskan crabs, shrimp and the oysters were fresh and delicious. The sushi bar has a very large selection and very fresh. The tempura station I did not try but it looked just as good! Nice selection of desserts too!

Nice..nice...nice

By Michael D |

The food was really good. I was curious when I read all the nice reviews. So my wife and I decided to visit the place. My wife and I loves eating in buffet restaurants. And this restaurant is for sure one of the buffet place that is top on my list. The selection of sushi was really good. There were so many food that really appeals to us. If you love a hefty meal then this is the place to be. The place is clean as well. I will really come back to this place the next time I visit Miami.

MAMA LINDA! Best place in the World

By Trippeando |

We are a from Cancun, Mexico and every time we go to Miami (2-3 times a year) we must visit SJ at least TWICE. Its a really famous restaurant inside my family and close friends because food quality is among the best, price es reasonable and the best is that is ALL YOU CAN EAT.

**SIX STARS!!**

By Peter C |

I travel a lot, but anytime I pass through South Florida, I go out of my way to make sure there's always time to stop for a meal at Shinju. Seriously great food, and much better service than most Asian buffets. I don't know anywhere else you can get such a beautiful array of sushi for only $13! (And I think lunch is even cheaper!) I brought my family of 6 here once and we spent under $100! 6 people at a normal sushi restaurant would have been around $450-500! If you're worried that maybe buffet sushi quality isn't that great, you can stop worrying. I've eaten here well over a dozen times and have never even had an upset stomach. This place is so great that I'm literally sitting here, eating by myself, writing this review. Haha. Is my point coming across? Shinju won't disappoint. Enjoy :)

All you can eat and more

By Edmund438 |

If you like Japanese food, especially seafood, this is the place. Good fresh food in attractive presentations. Nice atmosphere and attentive staff. A bargain at the price. We went for lunch and were fully satisfied and did not need to eat dinner that day. There hot tea goes well with the food selections. Senior citizen discount at dinner (not during lunch).

Great place!!

By BonnyG123 |

I've been to this place for over 15 yrs! I love it. Try to go at lunch though since dinner could be a little more expensive.

Best Sushi Deal !!!

By NorthStar21736105762 |

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years and have seen a lot of changes over time. Back in the day, Linda was the owner, and she was one of the hardest-working lady I’ve ever met. She was always on top of everything, and the staff clearly respected her leadership. A few years ago, she sold the restaurant—possibly to a family member—and while there have been some changes, the overall vibe and quality have remained consistent. When COVID hit, many of the original staff left due to the slowdown, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the presence of a real sushi chef. Some of the newer team members are still honing their craft, but the sushi is still excellent. In fact, the place is as popular as ever. It’s almost always packed, which means a constant flow of fresh seafood being delivered. The ‘all-you-can-eat’ deal is unbeatable, and the quality keeps me coming back. My only regret is that I can’t visit more often!

A buffet like no other.

By DD402 |

What a great buffet! After hearing about this place from friends I went to dinner there. It's a huge spread. I was surprised at the high quality of the sushi and seafood. They continuously were adding fresh choices to the buffet.

Good sushi

By Canesbiggdogg |

Have been coming here for years and the food is very good. The sushi is fresh and the hibachi grill has many choices

great japanese and chinese buffet - FRESH FOOD

By Barry S |

i go here frequently and it is by far the best lunch secret in the area. im not going to repeat the other posts but dont miss the lunch special. dinner is equally good but it is more pricey. for dinner they have some additional sushi items, sashimi, huge tempura shrimp, snow crab legs and oysters on the 1/2 shell. for both dinner and lunch they are so busy that everything moves fast, gets replenished frequently and is FRESH. try the lunch and if you like it, try the expanded dinner menu.

Sushi cold and hot food hot

By Landlubergranny |

Wanted to grab a bite while waiting out the 5o'clock traffic. Many choices for the sushi and all the fixings/ side dishes that go along with them. Sushi sauces also on the buffet. Plenty of hot food fried, steam, vegetarian, seafood, all the soups Stir fry station, cold bar with seafood and desserts. Our server Sara was very attentive And so was all the food restocked to the buffet. Nice size hot tea kettle of green tea Good til the last sip! We will be back

Always great

By Canesbiggdogg |

Been coming here for over 15 years. The owners is always there and remembers her customers. The sushi is always fresh and the crab legs on the weekend are never-ending. The servers also remember the guests and take good care of us. As always we will be back.

Not quite sure

By Batu Boris B |

I went there with my girlfriend since our favorite sushi restaurant was closing soon. The sushis tasted good but not so fresh, more like they were waiting there for a good hour. And the other hot dishes were cold, maybe because it was almost closing time. Not bad but not good more like 4ish out of ten. Go somewhere else if you have the option.

Great sushi place

By Rolo |

They offer all you can eat, sushi, sashimi, Chinese food and they also hace a grill where you can ask them to cook whatever you like.

Well it is cheap!

By Texastravelers94 |

You cannot complain-the food is not expensive, the restaurant is covered in booths, big old fashioned displays of kind of Chinese style foods with a big sushi bar. Tasty, though? No, I didn't think so. Would I go back-no probably not. But you could feed a lot of people for not so many dollars.

Best Oriental Buffet

By Ronny T |

This place is far and away the best oriental buffet that you will find in Florida. My wife and I have tried oriental buffet's in several states, and all over Florida. There must be fifty different varieties of sushi, and many other cold Japanese foods to choose from. There is a hot grill for your choice of Hibachi, and several steam tables full of hot oriental style food. You will not be disappointed with the desert bar either. My wife and I have probably been there at least fifty times for lunch, but we seldom go there for dinner. Dinner prices are considerably higher, and the buffet changes very little.

Best Sushi, Tempura and Japanese Buffet

By Khaled Mattar |

We had dinner at Shinju Japanese Buffet, and it was the best Asian Buffet we've ever been to. I visited Japan many times, and I never saw such a variety of Sushi and Maki in my life. Food was great, and variety exceeded expectations. If like Asian food and happen to be in Miami, do not miss Shinju.

What a find. Superb food.

By AK_Steve_AK |

Usually I use Tripadvisor to find a great restaurant in a place I don't know. This time I just put "buffet" in the GPS and picked this restaurant. And wow! First hint I got was that well past the peak dinner hour the parking lot was packed and there was still a waiting time for a table. This buffet takes no shortcuts. The sushi and sashimi spread is the best I've ever seen. The made to order stir fry takes no shortcuts with abundant shrimp and quality meat. And there's real ice cream for dessert. And when you're done they give you a moist wipe for your hands. Well done!!!

SUSHI LOVER UNITE!

By Sarah M |

Sushi galore! So many rolls to choose from including a Hibachi Grill, Seafood, Hot Chinese food, ice cream and house specials. Come for dinner and get Crab and Oysters added to the raw bar. Lunch is $13 per person and Dinner on the weekends (Friday/Saturday) is about $20. If your hungry, this place is worth every penny.

All you can eat

By Fam G |

Nice place, huge buffet with all kinds of food. Good, fast and quite friendly service and once you have order water or Cola, they just continue to fill you class The sushi variety and selection was quite impressive. Hot food selection was fine. A lot of fried foods. Dessert selection seemed good and my daughters love the fruit and is cream. We can only recommend this place.

This is the real deal!!

By BonnyG123 |

My japanese friend brought me here the first time, I've been coming here for more than 10 years now and we never get tired of the buffet. My family who visits from abroad, they all love it too. Recommended!!!!

Great Place for a Cheap and Filling Lunch

By Vanessa C |

As a very frequent customer for over a year now, Shinju Japanese buffet is an amazing place to go for lunch. (We have yet to go for dinner) When you go in, don't be surprised that more than half of the place is tables, it really is that popular! The back half is split into 4 sections, the grill section in the back (where you can get an option of veggie, beef, chicken or shrimp stir-fry), a cold/dessert station (with a few shell fish, pastries, icecream and fruit), the warm asian food section (usually has miso soup, sweet and sour soup, tempura, crab rangoon, fried chicken, fried shrimp, veggie lo mein, grilled mushrooms, grilled green beans, sweet and sour chicken, beef in oyster sauce and one or two more dishes) and finally the sushi/salad section (usually 5 or 6 salads with fish in spices and many different types of sushi rolls!) Honestly, it's completely worth the money. The stir fry is pretty good and it's great that they make it in front of you so you can ask for specifics. The Chinese food is usually a hit (the chicken can be a bit greasy, but that's usual for most inexpensive Chinese places), the desserts are standard buffet fare (jello, oranges, eclairs, a few pastries, icecream) but what really makes it worth it is the sushi. No, don't expect amazing grade, melt-in-your-mouth sushi, but honestly it's good. The rice is a nice soft/sticky consistency, the fish smells and tastes good and they have a great variety of any type of roll you can ask for. Recently they have raised their prices and I believe it is now $12 and $24 for dinner. (Which is still nothing for everything you can eat!)

Good Bang for Your Buck

By Geogator |

I am not expert on Asian foods, but like Chinese. This place is a mix of Japanese-Chinese-American cuisines. The price is right at about $15/person with a broad selection of Asian foods including sushi and all you care to eat crab-legs. The food seemed very fresh and was replenished often. I would say this is kind of an Asian version of the Golden Corral. I had expected a fancier ambiance, but enjoyed the relaxed buffet style. Everyone of our party of 12 left satisfied and happy.

Sushi at an affordable price

By JDRolle R |

Indulge in all the sushi you can eat at lunch for $12.95. Hidden in a small strip mall south of downtown Miami is great value and good Japanese cuisine. A favorite local dining spot for my Miami family.

Always good for buffett

By Canesbiggdogg |

I like their all you can eat sushi as it is very fresh and has a good variety. On weekend nights they always have snow crab legs and they are good also. We come here on a regular basis so we will be back again

great little place

By Joel F |

great price to eat at luch time if you are cuban go the i know you like to eat good for cheap excellent place clean and good location

Food is better with great service

By cesarcesar |

To those like me when food taste need to be complemented with great service Shinju is a great choice in the South Florida Buffet experience. Mama Linda (owner) great hosting experience made every one of my visits enjoyable. In terms of food, the ever coming sashimi is my favorite. In addition to the sashimi I really enjoyed the steak-hibachi and some other vegetable dishes always available.

Best Sushi Buffet

By leafer000 |

Obviously, you are not getting the BEST quality at a buffet, but as far as buffets are concerned, you would be hard pressed to find better. I love this place and have been going there for years. Do not go towards the tail end of lunch as that is the worst time to go, other than that, it's great.

Consistently Good

By LaBusti |

We usually stop by Shinju every time we visit Miami, but we were a bit hesitant to do so as the COVID-19 pandemic is still going on. We were pleasantly surprised to see all the precautions taken for a buffet of this kind. Mask is required for all patrons when not sitting at the table and for restaurant personnel at all times. Disposable gloves are provided from an auto dispenser to be used every time you go to the buffet area. Sanitizer dispensers are available throughout the area. The food was really good. I loved several sushi roll options as well as the hot/creamed shrimp, green beans and mushrooms. I am glad to confirm it is still a great option when we travel to Miami.

# 1 in Miami

By Tony G |

Miami is a horrible place for Chinesse buffet, but Shinju is a good place, clean, with tasty classical buffet stuff. I will vist again. Sixteen bucks one person, but it's worth.

Variety Dining and Reasonable Prices

By Bill K |

Charming restaurant which offers a wide variety of fresh sushi along with an hibachi grill cooking up some Japanese favorites. If you don't like sushi, they also have a wide variety of Japanese delights served buffet style. The buffet is only $12.99, for all you can eat, and it's good. You can't really go wrong with Shinju Japanese Buffet and chances are you will keep coming back.

Okay when craving Sushi

By kfitzeats |

Just to be very clear: I only come here when I'm craving massive amounts of sushi and don't want to strain myself to choose one or two rolls in a better quality restaurant. With that said, Shinju's lunch buffet for $11.95 is a pretty wonderful deal in that they do have a large selection of sushi (including cooked rolls and traditional ones like nigiri). I try to stick to the sushi and their seafood salads, only occasionally going to their stir fry station which is decent. I all together avoid the hot foods section but do always end my meal with some green tea/red bean ice cream! I've never been to their dinner which I think is around $20 and includes other items like crab legs in the raw bar. Overall, worth it for a lunch when you're in the mood for a buffet! Best sushi buffet in town!

By Marlon N |

Best sushi buffet in town, by far!! Great selection and reasonable price. Has hibachi service and traditional buffet plates/ offering. Not a fancy place but who cares! They have fresh food and lines are reasonable to get table. Lunch is usually open and dinner is the wait. The dinner offers crabs legs and oysters too.

Amazing Sushi

By Rainainmobi |

I have been here umpteen number of time and each time the experience is great. Yummy sushi for all the sushi lovers. Must visit

Crab legs were old

By Canesbiggdogg |

Went with the wife on a Saturday night. we waited a bit to be seated but not too bad. The sushi was good but the crab legs were old. 2nd time in a row this happens. I have known the owner for years.

Worst customer!

By Jordan P |

Our server was really rude and we felt rushed through the whole meal. At the end of our meal the server hovered over me as I wrote my tip. I was being generous despite her horrible service. Then she looked at it and told me I needed to tip more. How rude can a person be this was really embarrassing. As we were leaving my little sister looked back and saw one of the servers giving us hand gestures to leave the restaurant. I will never return and don't recommend any one to eat there.

Great place for sushi

By amatog |

This is a family restaurant buffet style which serves conventional chinese food but has a substantial sushi section. They have over 20 types of sushi and the slices of seafood are pretty good, not the slivers some cheap restaurants serve. You can just eat all the sushi u want or mix it with cooked foods. The place is usually packed and I like going for lunch cause the prices are lower. Otherwise its a great place to gorge yourself with sushi.

Inexpensive but not very good

By bork3000 |

The sushi is just not great - sticky heavy rice, most rolls taste exactly the same, the fish is not spoiled but also not all that fresh. It's cheap but with so many sushi choices in Miami - why go for that?

Best sushi for the price

By Dr. V |

Ive been going to this restaurant for fifteen years and it's consistently good. The food is always fresh and the Sushi of pretty good quality . Highly recommend

Quality buffet

By khollth |

I'm not a big sushi fan, but I was with several other folks who are and they like the sushi here. I liked most of the standard chinese foods I had here - I especially liked the coconut shrimp. It's hard coming to a place like this when you're trying to watch what you eat because there is just so darn much good food. And it all tasted pretty fresh to me. I expect I'll be back there next time I'm in town.

Good buffet

By Tom Y |

Very good Japanese and Chinese buffet. Good service, clean, price reasonable. It is hard to find a better one in the area

Sushi was fresh and the food was delicious.

By Abel R |

My sister told me this place was really good so I told her let’s go try it. The food was really good and I tried most of them, for the price I paid. The customer service is great, and the waiters are super nice. Servers were quick to keep the table clean and drinks refilled. If you are in the area you must to try it!

Best Japanese buffet

By Miguel M |

Every time I come to eat at this restaurant, I enjoy the salad buffet ,the sushi board, the amazing grill ,where you can eat shrimp made in front of you.

Very dissapointed

By An J |

I checked the trip adviser reviews, it showed me good review,we were so excited getting in there but the hosting was so disrespectfull that in the middle of our meal we were asked to pay the bill, and the bill was given person to person on the table in 1min of time. We called the manager, she just appologized and she left. We paid the bill and we left. We go to restorants at least once a week and this was out of every understanding

Pretty nice

By Pineapples-a-Plenty |

The sushi was nice the rice was a little dry. Other food was good even though all was not japanesse.

Great all around buffet

By Marc G |

I've visited the new location in Pembroke Pines 3 times already and this is easily becomed one of my favorite restaurants and buffets. I love the make your own hibachi station, and the dragon roll here is one of my faves. I also love the mexican roll as well. The hot food section also has an excellent selection along with a make your own wonton soup too. This is somewhere I will continue to go.

Best sushi, Asian, flavor & Value

By Pablo Sardi |

It exceeded all my expectation. The sushi is made with fresh fish. One can really eat you can eat of sushi. Asian rice, beef and chicken are excellent as well. I came with my family. 2 adults and 2 children the bill was 48.12. Recommended.

Every time I visit Miami, I always have to stop by. The sushi here is always fresh and they always keep it coming. There's so much variety! Then I always finish with a few bowls of green tea ice cream. Instant nirvana of food coma. Check it out!

Always good

By Canesbiggdogg |

Every time me and my family visit Miami, we all go here, the best buffet time is on weekends that is when they bring out the best food, on weekdays is as other buffets around the city. Prices are a little bit high compare to others, but it is worth for its quality.

The worst buffet ever eaten

By Alex P |

My Girlfriend and I had dinner here last night, after reading such positive reviews about this place. We we're very disappointed. The ambiance is horrible, the food was not fresh at all, the ice cream had zero taste and some of the food felt processed. The buffet also was limited in variety of Food. We will never come back here. Worst of all, a dinner buffet for two, was $45.00 dollars, are you serious. We ate at a much nicer Japanese Buffet in Miami Lakes for $11.00 dollars less and the food was extremely better, not even close. This is the worst buffet experience we've ever had. We will not be back and will never recommended this place to anyone!

This is the spot to go if you want your sushi fix. The price is good and the servers and owner always greet you with a smile. I would only wish that they could offer specialty rolls instead of always the same thing and even some hand rolls.

Great sushi buffet

First time at a Japanese buffet - what a great selection of sushi - all made right in front of you. There was also teriyaki and tempura selection to choose from. There was a small section of the 'usual' Chinese buffet selection - but I did not bother with that. The sushi was definitely the main attraction. If you still had room afterwards - there is also a dessert cart to finish you off. At $9.95 weekday lunchtime - great value. This one is a little bit far if you are based in Miami - try the Kyojin Buffet on South Dixie Highway (opposite South Miami Hospital) instead - another favourite.

Great as always

Come in and treated like family. Been coming here for over 15 years. The sushi as always fresh and with a good selection. The grill has many options as well. We go on weekends to get the crab legs. As always we will return.

Can't wait to to go back! This is by far one of the best places to eat Chinese. The hibachi is amazing, the service is very good considering it's a buffet. Oh did I mention the fried heavenly tempura shrimp and vegetables. Dinner is pricier than lunch but well worth it if you love to eat.

Perfect Combination !!!!!

Not worth it.

Overpriced for the quality of food. $20.00 pp for dinner and we were not impressed. Ordered from the grill and the beef was not seasoned well nor tender at all. Just an average buffet with an above average price.

I wanted to like it. I really did.

When I encountered a "Closed, will re-open soon" sign on the door of Kyojin, my preferred sushi buffet, I decided to give Shinju a second chance. My first try there was years ago, and it was abyssmal. Sad to say, although the atmosphere is pleasant and the restaurant clean, the food is absolutely awful. The sushi is obviously recently thawed, with tiny fractures telling you where the ice crystals used to be. Needless to say, that sort of ruins the texture. Many of the items tasted as if they were just on the borderline of needing to go into the trash. Very fishy and just...not right. The Chinese offerings were just as nasty. They LOOKED fine. But the only item that was even remotely edible was the potstickers. Everything else had a distinctly barnyard flavor, as if the animals that gave their lives for the dumplings and other dishes had not been skinned or even washed before being ground up and weakly camouflaged in salty, salty sauce. Won't be going back ever again. BLEAGH.

Good location with good food, but...

I finally decided to go here after reading the reviews and I wasn't disappointed. The good was the food which was separated very nicely and plenty of food you can handle. Then came the bad which was the loudness in the room and the other were the tables were too close to each other, on multiple times my chair got bumped and it was really upsetting. I still gave it a 4 star and I know this place has alot of potential to improve. You decide! And enjoy!

Sushi Bonanza

Shinju is fantastic! The sushi is always very fresh and the variety of rolls and other offerings is quite ample. Extremely reasonably priced and tremendous value. By far the best sushi buffet in Miami. The lady who runs the place keeps everything streamlined and moving swiftly despite attending to big crowds.

Not a great night this time

By Canesbiggdogg |

We are regulars and the food was not the best this time. To our surprise they had Stone crabs but they were old. Also the crab legs they usually have were old as well. Overall the quality was not there this time. Hope the next time goes back to normal.

Not as full as usual

Went with my daughter. I had lots of sushi and some items from the grill. The food was good and the service was good as well. It has lost some of its luster over the past couple of times I have come.

Factory-like

I’ve tried the place a few times and there’s room for improvement. It feels and looks unkept. It is anything but cozy. The quality of food is below average and could be enhanced. It’s a nice location and the price is right but not sure I will come again. I do have to day my niece and nephew love it. They say the teamed crab is top notch.

Yum 😋
