It's definitely not one of the best steakhouses (the prices are as if). If you are in the area anyway and don't feel like dragging yourself anywhere, then yes, the food is good. And the service is very good. Not a wow though.

I was solo and just wanted a simple meal in the bar after a long day of work. I was staying at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Chicago, so it was an easy (in-house) choice. I sat down at a high table and immediately I had a server greet me and ask if I was hungry and thirsty. I told him I wanted a simple, relaxed dinner and he took that to heart. My Shula's House Salad was perfect; fresh and tasty. And my Pan-Seared Sea Scallops were cooked perfectly and terrific, if a bit on the rich side. (OK, Shula's is a steak house so expect rich food.) And my glass of wine was just what the doctor ordered. After dinner, I felt relaxed and satisfied. Kudos to my servers and to the relaxed bar area at Shula’s. There are so many great steak house options in Chicago, but this meal on this night was ideal for me.

Waiter bullied us into providing a larger tip. He literally argued with us at our table. We provided a 20% tip and he wanted more. Ridiculous way to be treated.

In a city of incredible food, this place dissapointed. Food was very high priced, wait staff unfriendly and worst of all the food was very average. Seek other locations

We were expecting a really great fine dining experience but instead we had a very average meal with very average slow service. For a steakhouse, the steaks we had were not particularly tasty and not cooked to our taste. Everything part of the meal and side dishes were salty. Very expensive and not worth the cost of the meal. We will not return to Shula's.

Wish they were open a little earlier. Food was really good. Service was attentive and considerate. This is hearty food which I prefer to eat a little earlier in the day, but the restaurant opens at 5:30.

We have been to this restaurant several times over the years and we went for my husband's 50th birthday. I was very disappointed in my meal - the crab cake was fishy, so I sent it back. They replaced it with scallops. The original scallops on my order were great. The replacement set was very salty. They did offer to comp my meal, which we declined. We had a free drink instead. They did absolutely nothing for my husband's birthday. We went to Mastro's for drinks beforehand and they gave him a birthday dessert. We should have stayed at Mastro's! Despite the food not being at its best, the service was good. We will not be back.

Seemed like a standard hotel bar/restaurant. Used some of the resort fee credit for takeaway. Tasty burger but nothing spectacular.

We (13) went there during restaurant week for a good steak. The petite filet was either steamed or baked and had little flavor. The vegetables were cold. The server was not attentive, even though they were not crowded (Thursday) night. One party had the salmon and said it was good but the majority had steak and found it not up to standards.

We went here for my husbands birthday dinner. We had been to the one in Disney and it was AMAZING SERVICE AND FOOD! We were expecting the same kind of experience. The food was good! No complaints there. The service on the other hand was just ok. We ordered 3 appetizers to share, and we had to send the soup back because it was cold. We then ordered the Porterhouse and Surf and turf, both which were amazing! Our side dishes were messed up, we had asked for green beans and had gotten asparagus. Easy fix, asked our waiter to exchange for the right side. Then, for dessert we ordered carrot cake, but had gotten Chocolate cake. By then, we were tired of fixing all of our orders and didn't want to seem like pests. The buser was cleaning tables off for people that had left, and our plates had been sitting for a long length of time. It would be different if they were super busy with people waiting at the door, but they were not busy at all. When it was time to leave, we had left overs to take home. We were given a box after asking twice. We had to box our own left overs, which may sound weird. But if you go to pizza places or any nice restaurant, they always box up your left overs for you. We were disappointed in the service.

Went here with the family for New Years dinner with great expectations but was really disappointed. Ordered a 16 oz New York Ribeye steak medium cooked. I thought the price was ridiculous (52$) but since it New Years what the heck. When it arrived the steak was cold (as were my wife’s scallops but she was too hungry to return them...). I returned my steak and they decided to reheat it (!) when it obviously wasn’t medium cooked anymore. Quite the contrary; a dry and over cooked peace of meat. Did not eat it at all. Personnel removed from the check but no other compensation was offered. Rather seemed like the personnel was trying to avoid us. Not acceptable for a restaurant with this kind of prices.

The staff was fantastic and the food was for once ever batter than I could make at home and to me that means a Great Deal.

The experience at this restaurant was less than exciting. The staff was unfriendly and the food was average. The bartender mixed my “signature” cocktail with different ingredients(booze) than the menu stated. Also, bartender was down right rude several Times when asked for recommendations from out of town guest. My salad was average. Not worth spending the $ to go here. You’re better off finding a local restaurant and supporting them.

I ended up here one night after closing off a tradeshow. We made the arrangements to come here on the spur of the moment. This is one restaurant in Chicago that deserves a visit and great review. There were 4 of us, meals ranged from Surf and Turf to Filet Mignon, Asparagus, Scalloped Potatoes, Grilled corn and 2 bottles of Rutherford Hill Merlot. My dish was the Filet Mignon cooked medium rare exactly how it was ordered. It just melted in your mouth with flavor. My desert was the crème Brule very nice. Service was good our waitress was very attentive to our needs. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meal. It was my first time there but not the last. Thank You

From the attentive service to the well appointed dining room to the fantastic Burrata salad and then the perfectly prepared 12 ounce filet, this visit to Shula’s was a wonderful experience. Milen was terrific server.

We had an informal meeting in the bar area. Ordered appetizers and some pinot noir. Good jazz music playing in the background. The appetizers were very good and plenty. Nice atmosphere.

Great fish and steaks and not too pricey for downtown steakhouse. Not very crowded but we were there for early dinner on weekday.

Shula’s can be accessed from the street or directly from the Sheraton Grand hotel. It has wonderful steaks. I had the 8oz Filet and it was cooked perfectly and the taste was exceptional.

To me, every steakhouse that charges $50/filet is pretty similar. The prices are exorbitant, the food is good, the chef came out twice to make certain my food allergies were accommodated. She was wonderful. However, the waiters need to learn about fine dining. Our waitress was terrible. She left empty glasses on the table, she was rude, she didn't want to take my food allergies seriously, and she really didn't seem to get that this isn't Fridays. For example, she insisted we cut our steaks in the center, all the way through to ensure that our steaks were the right temperature. I was amazed, as that is just wrong. Considering you have to spend a minimum of $75/person, I expected more service. We weren't given a wine list, our candle was not lit, and really the steak was very good but like I said, for that price, it better be. I used to do fine dining so maybe the candle seems a bit petty. But, this level of dining requires attention to detail Go somewhere else.

Really enjoyed the bone in rib eye. It was prepared perfectly! No extra seasoning of any kind was needed. The macaroni and cheese was exceptional and the grilled asparagus was delicious.

Deelilsh food, GREAT service, exceptional & fun atmosphere. Loved our visit and will return. Highly recommend.

Don Shula was one of the classiest coaches in the history of the National Football League. So it figures his clubby steakhouse chain would score a touchdown. Shula's Chicago location, in the Sheraton Grand Chicago Hotel at 301 East North Water Street, is a popular destination for businessmen and out-of-towners. It's a steakhouse with lots of wood paneling and football memorabilia, a site fit for a reunion of Hall of Famers from Canton. And the menu has All-America credentials. My wife and I started with lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail and Caesar salad. For entrees, we chose an eight-ounce filet with bearnaise sauce, creamed spinach and mashed potatoes and a 16-ounce New York strip with bearnaise sauce, jumbo baked potato and sauteed mushrooms. The steaks, prepared medium well, were juicy, tender and delicious. For dessert, we shared a chocolate souffle with vanilla ice cream and a big slice of key lime pie. But I was tempted by the creme brulee trio with grand marnier, Godiva chocolate and classic vanilla bean. At Shula's, there's a lot of things to like.

Most incredible filet mignon you will ever find. This is a great special occasion and or business venue.

Final night in Chicago, decided to try Shula, My Dean, her mother and I splurged and had an outstanding meal. They ordered the grilled salmon and it was grilled to perfection. The salads were fresh and crispy. I ordered the filet mignon and seared scallops and they were perfect. The waiter was attentive, very polite with a great sense of humor. The meal was prompt, no excessive waiting. The room is full of football memories and it is a classic steakhouse. The restaurant adds considerable class to a tired Sheraton Grand.

Ordered rare Prime Rib, Shula's only does medium; it was ok. Great sides, great staff. Dining room could use more lighting.

We dined at Shula's while traveling on business. I had the crab cakes and twice baked potato. The potato was large enough to share, and the crab cakes were huge. The sides are ala carte, therefore the food is pricey, but, well worth it!

Had a steak with shrimp and crab cake. It was good. No beer on tap. My plate alone was above 50 dollars. Service was decent. Kind of a dark place inside the Sheraton Grand Hotel.

It seems odd to go to another hotel to go to a restaurant but with a Dolphins fan as a husband no trip to Chicago would be complete, plus an eight wedding anniversary so why not splurge. Yes as other TA's say this is not a cheap meal but if you have done your homework it should not be a surprise and for us it was not so no complaint there. The restaurant is on the corner of the hotel and as it is a sweeping room, the Windows cover half of the restaurant. As you enter there is a bar area before it opens up into the restaurant, football memorabilia is everywhere but also not in your face, yes but when you see it it makes sense. We chose to take a drink at the bar before dining, not a problem the host informed us. When we were ready the host picked up a football and took us to our table. The menus were presented and the football placed on a stand on the table, it's actually the steak menu, cool. The menu has a good choice but as steak lovers we were looking in only one place. One fillet and one Kansas Strip ordered with fries, house salad and corn to share. The corn comes with onions, tomato and jalapeños, a different twist and tasty. The steaks were perfectly rested, fat free, lean with a pink middle (both medium rare) but no blood. The wine was a Ravens Wood Zinfandel which was smooth and rich bodied, a perfect combo with the steak. The restaurant itself has low lighting, enough to see your meal and partner well but also helps to envelop you in your own evening, a good job as if the lights were full it would be an intimidating room.

Food came before drinks and they charged my a 22% tip for my table of "6" when the 6th person was a 1yr old who didn't eat anything. Super watery creamy spinach. You can't call yourself a steakhouse and not execute on creamy spinach. Shulas used to set the standard. Now its just an overpriced knockoff

Very busy restaurant even at 9 P.M. but never made you feel rushed or unattended. Conveniently located in the Sheraton Grand.

My wife and I were staying at the Sheraton Grand Riverside for a special event and we dined here during our stay. This restaurant is located on the lobby level of the hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was very good. The prices are however, very high. A 7 ounce filet mignon cost $63, martini cost $17, lobster bisque $19. All items were ala carte with no side dishes included. The decor and atmosphere is low lighting, dark wood, leather, brass, etc. While the service and food were very good, the price was just too high in our opinion. I would rate this place as a 'special occasion' type of place and not someplace to visit regularly during your stay.

This is what a steakhouse is all about. I must admit I had misgivings about going to Don Shula's Steakhouse. Can Shula make it in a town owned by Mike Ditka? Shula was a great football coach but does he know anything about steaks and restaurants? Well, all joking aside, Shula's Steakhouse is the real deal. Located at 301 East North Water Street in the mammoth Sheraton Grand Chicago Hotel, just a couple of blocks east of the Magnificent Mile on the Chicago River, Shula's is a good as his unbeaten Miami Dolphins football team of 1973. In fact, the restaurant, with its cherrywood walls and high-back leather chairs, is a museum of football memorabilia in honor to the Bob Griese-led team, including hand-painted menus on official NFL game footballs, all signed by Don Shula himself. We kicked off with lobster bisque and barbecue shrimp, a genuine change of pace from traditional shrimp cocktail. Which steaks did we choose? A 12-ounce filet mignon and a petite version, Steak Mary Anne. If you're really hungry or you're an NFL lineman, try the 48-ounce porterhouse. For sides, we chose green beans and twice-baked potatoes. For dessert, we had key lime pie and apple cobbler. The service was as efficient as an NFL referee. There were no penalties and no complaints. Chicago boasts a host of outstanding steakhouses and Shula's definitely is one of the best.

Hoping for a nice experience at a name steakhouse near our hotel. $50 steak (prime rib) was 40% white fat. Waiter implored that the $15 crab mac n cheese was a must. It was a must not- bland, tasteless. Server was trying to be funny, it was not so much. Place felt old and tired. There are a hundred better options for high priced mediocrity within blocks. No reason to come here.

A great place to have a great steak. Good service and a very pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed the server and the experience.

This is the second time to visit Shula’s. I was going to venture off and try something different this time. So I ordered the Atlantic Halibut. I love fish, Wahoo, Mahi, Halibut but I didn’t necessarily love the fish I got from here. It wasn’t horrible but I do believe it was a little over cooked. The gnocchi and sauce was exceptional, really flavored the dish. I believe it had a grapefruit meunière sauce. Not much of a grapefruit fan but it wasn’t overwhelming and actually made the dish. My recommendation is if you go to Shula’s, get a steak. You can never go wrong with a great filet. The wait staff here are exceptional and really do take great care of you.

We went after our show at the Sheraton to avoid the Chicago cold weather. I was super excited comparing it to Morton's or Maestros. I felt a tad let down. The entire process was super slow. Our dining experience lasted 2 and a half hours from start to finish. The filet was excellent and I enjoyed the mushrooms and creamed spinach very much. The crab mac and cheese seemed dry and lacking favor. I ordered the souffle because when you tell me it will take 45 minutes for my dessert it excites me. It was good but my most memorable was at Paris Paris in Vegas. It rocked my world. Glad to have visited but wouldn't go back. Too many other choices in Chicago.

went here twice during our stay, first for drinks and appetizers and a second time for dinner. to be fair, our first visit was pretty late, 10:00PM so maybe the kitchen was winding down. my wife had French onion soup, the chees was way overcooked. I had the calamari, soggy. drinks were good pours and service was good. Second visit was an early dinner, good pours on the drinks and good service again. My filet was cooked properly and very tasty, my wife's halibut was overcooked and very dry. we shared a twice baked potato that was fresh out of the microwave. Not the kind of quality you'd expect for the price they charge.

Maybe, like Shula himself, this place is getting old. Yes, steakhouses have fairly predictable menus and atmosphere, but this place has ossified. Back to 1995 or so. Brussels sprouts with bacon isn't exactly cutting edge as a side, nor is any sort of Mac and Cheese. The seared ahi seemed to have been seared in the morning. Steak's gonna be steak, but where's the sizzle. One can do much better in the City of Big Shoulders!

This was the 2nd time I've eaten at Shula's. Located in the Sheraton Grand its conveniently located to a variety of local hotels and not far off of Michigan. Its on the street side of the hotel, so no views. The steak menu is presented on a football which is a little "cute", but everything is on the menu so it was more a novelty than a necessity. Service was excellent. The wait staff was attentive, but not pushy. We were in no rush and our waiter allowed us to just relax and enjoy the meal. My colleague and I decided to split a salad and entree. Both were presented on separate plates and turned out to be the perfect size for a late dinner. The filet was cooked to perfection; we ordered a side of mashed potatoes to share and they were creamy, but very bland. You'll be reaching for the salt and pepper.

Went here for a special meal and we were not disappointed. Yes its expensive but for a one off meal the steak just melted in the mouth.

This restaurant is located in my go-to hotel when visiting Chicago. This trip just happened to be for my mother’s 65th birthday - it was a wonderful experience for her. This is my favorite steakhouse in Chicago….and that’s taking into account about 4 dozen steakhouses in the area. Robert and Alex waited on us and they were fantastic. They were mindful, professional, and paid attention to detail. They brought my mother out a crème brûlée for dessert with a pink candle in it, what sweet gentlemen. We both ordered the filet mignon, which was cooked perfectly. We shared the asparagus and brussel sprouts, each with amazing flavor. If you are looking for a high quality restaurant, this is it.

Had a quick dinner here after a transatlantic flight. Menu had a great selection but the prices were quite expensive. Staff were able to accomodate my gluten free requests (which they weren't able to do in the other bar restaurant in the hotel). There are two very different seating areas: one with a bar and TVs and another further in which is mor traditional restaurant seating and environment. Patrons can park at the hotel for a "reduced" rate of $13.

Had dinner after checking into the Sheraton while on business. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Had a Caesar salad which was flavorless. Steak and fries for $54! Meat was sub par and fries were soft. Overall totally not worth the money.

I ate here because it is in the hotel where I was staying and room service wouldn’t answer the phone. I ordered the lobster bisque and calamari. I wasn’t impressed with the bisque. It tasted strongly of shrimp paste, which is not something I dislike, but also should not be the dominant taste in lobster bisque. However, the server comped it without my even asking her to. The calamari, on the other hand, was perfectly cooked. A crispy crust but also melt-in-your-mouth tender. Although I was sitting alone and my server had larger tables that she doubtless would make a lot more money on, my server was excellent and made me feel welcome.

The restaurant feels open and airy. Best seats are near the windows. The service was attentive but did not try to turn the table. It was a great steak experience.

Great food, exceptional service and lots of hearty, American-male testosterone memorabilia. Had an absolutely fabulous meal at this landmark restaurant where I understand it's namesake visits weekly. Wil return. This was a superbowl night!

The cosy look is well supplemented by the helpful staff Had the red snapper with the potato chips The creme brulee was superb, came in 3 flavours and was very yummy!

Take your international guest to Shula's for the steak, lobster, scallops, pork chops. All the things they are famous. Great food and service. Easy to get to being in the hotel. Highly recommend.

I ordered several different items off this menu for 4 days. All were consistently good, every time. Beware: you get a HUGE bowl of any potatoes you order! But they are excellent!

Just one night at the Sheraton grand Chicago. Shula’s steak house is at the lobby and it was time for dinner. I had the 8 oz filet. It was cooked right as I asked. The flavor of the meat was very good and it did not disappoint my taste buds. For dessert I venture into the creme brûlée. This is a three flavor feature, in three separate containers. It was very enjoyable. Service was good, but I found myself being a bit picky. I had a glass of Cabernet with dinner. The glass had fingerprints on it. This broke the appeal of a nice wine in a no so nice container. Drinking a glass of wine starts with senses not located on the tongue. The visual appeal starts with the type or style of container/glass, the color, the aroma on the nose, the smear on the glass the wine leaves when moved around, all the physical attributes of the liquid... those digital prints got me by surprise. The same happened with the dessert liquor, the glass had those fingerprints that did not belong to an expected good experience. The service was good, it was just this issue with the attention to the detail that I would expect in this type of restaurant that somehow demoted the restaurant in my list

Every time I come in town for business a dinner there is a must! Tender and juicy meet, romantic and relaxed atmosphere Wine list is limited and quite expensive but quality is high!

Restaurant located inside the Sheraton, the service is fast and the staff is professional. You can have a cocktail before dinner. The prices are adjusted to the locations

Friday, Jan 15, 3 couples ate dinner at Shula's. We had a 7:15 reservation. When the check came, one of us took a look and told the others that the total bill was $565 which included an 18% tip. We asked the waiter to split the bill three ways and gave him three credit cards. When the credit card receipts were returned for us to sign, each couple's bill was $250, not the roughly $190 we expected. We realized that each couple had been charged the 18% tip on the total bill --- $88 --- rather than 18% on each third. That would be a 54% tip. We called over the waiter who said we were wrong, the bill was correct, and then immediately said he would get the assistant manager. We didn't ask for anyone, we just wanted him to redo the bills. We waited at least 10 minutes for the assistant manager to come. Her name was either Nicole or Natalie, I am not sure which. She said there was an error and took away our original receipts. She came back with the new bills and told us she had comped one of our bottles of wine which we hadn't asked her to do. Again, we just wanted correct bills. I asked how this could happen and she said the Shula's computer system is not set up to split bills. We are frequent restaurant diners so the idea that a restaurant like Shula's could not split a bill was not believable. We offered our credit cards to rerun the bills, but she said that they had all the information they needed and kind of hurried us out. That was when we all became pretty sure this was a scam set up between the waiter and the manager. Put the full tip on each bill and hope they don't notice. Then split the proceeds. Well we noticed so one would think ok, each couple will be charge $165 after the adjustments or a total of $495, Imagine our surprise when we looked at our credit card statement the next day. One couple was charged $550, one $278, and the other $0. Plus a group of fraudulent charges of over $2000 appeared on one card. We have written to corporate headquarters, but have received no response. Shula's needs to investigate this immediately.

We dined here last week during a business trip to Chicago. Although we arrived at the restaurant late (around 10pm) most of the tables and bar were empty before a closing time of 11pm. The service was average but the food was somewhat disappointing. Crabcakes blah, rebaked baked potato barely warm, steak not cooked as ordered, crab soup disappointing. But, the BREAD was excellent--hot and frenchy. Well, we learned our lesson here--a bad dinner for three for $180.00 Chicago has too many great restaurants and this one goes to the bottom of our list.

Was a great first impression. 12 oz filet, amazing flavor, incredibly tender. Cesar salad, crab Mac and cheese and a bottle of Meiomi pinot... great cap off of a long day of travel. Mary was on top of her game and provided great service. The restaurant wasn't busy for a Wednesday evening which made it all the better.

I had booked well in advance to entertain a business client. I recieved a confirmation. I arrived to find the place closed. Sheraton staff said they would pass on my details to Schulas. No one has contacted me apart from a couple of auto emails asking me to rate my experience at Schulas !! I was able to get a reservation at Gibsons instead. It was exceptional.

Arrived late evening at the hotel and headed to Shula's for appetizers and drinks. The appetizers were outstanding, especially the tenderloin tips and BBQ shrimp. Drinks pricey but mixed perfectly. Service was very good.

Pricey but one of the places I really wanted to go. Food was good, atmosphere was pretty good as well.

Business dinner for a dozen or so guests in a private room: attentive service, creative and tempting appetizer and main course choices. I enjoyed tasty bacon-wrapped shrimp, marinated mini-filets, a well-prepared Caesar salad, perfectly cooked filet mignon "Oscar" and barely had room for a bite of cheesecake. A good time was had by all. Glad I did not had to foot the bill.

This was by far one of the more expensive dinners during our Chicago visit. The side are good with generous portions. The help is attentive and frequent. The steak was a quality cut, but the seasoning and finish left a lot to be desired. We left disappointed with the spend.

The atmosphere is cozy and the wait staff were pleasant. The big drawback is that the smallest portion of prime rib is 16 OZ. - four times a normal serving size of 4 ounces. Bring a couple of friends and share. Every item for your meal is a la carte and quite expensive. The food was tasty but I would not go out of my way to go back.

This resturant is located inside the Sheraton Grand Hotel. We were at the hotel for a convention and got hungry. The servers were all pleasant and prompt. Fairly fancy atmosphere with the football theme. Two of us had two beers, one soda, a steak, and a hamburger with fries. The steak and burger were good, but comparible to a chain steak house like a Outback Steakhouse. I think the steak was $49 - no sides included, and the burger and fries was $19. With a 18-20% tip, we paid about $100 total.

Good starters, wine and steak selection. Service staff not very attentive nor motivated. Overall lost a bit the greatness of past years..

My wife & I split the mixed Grill, was definitely plenty for us. We were with a group & several sides were ordered & that was enough for the entire table of 10 to share with their meals. The service was impeccable, we almost had the place to ourselves on a Saturday night. lovely atmosphere, with great Shula pix & memorabilia all over. We loved it & would definitely go back when in town

We visited there on arrival in Chicago and had a great meal. The steak that I had was to die for. Very good service. Price a little more expensive but worth it.

This is a great place to eat but bring your wallet it wont be cheap. They give you a good bang for your buck. Service is good their filet is tender and taste. time to be pampered

We came in late (about 10 pm?) but were warmly greeted; sat at the bar and had the shrimp cocktail and tenderloin tips; both excellent, as was the wine. Service was fast and friendly. I'd go back in a hurry. Nice atmosphere too (dark, wood panelled); much what you would expect from a traditional steakhouse. My only question: why Shula? Did Don beat Ditka to this punch??

Solid service, excellent food - and be sure to take a walk around the dining room and drink in all the great photos and other memorabilia. If you are not a football fan this place may not be worth the prices - but if you are a fan you will never even notice the jacked up bill when it arrives......

The Sheraton is lucky to have this place. It's a very good steak house and well worth every cent. I've been here twice. The food was consistent but the service varied but overall you shouldn't be disappointed.

We had been here pre-Covid and loved it. Its just not the same now. Not sure if there is new management but it was not busy and staff was attentive but not sharp. Food was very expensive, even for steaks, and the cuts we had were not top-shelf steakhouse quality. Looks like it is on its last legs.

My friends and I enjoyed the bar prior to going out for a night on the town. I absolutely recommend stopping by this location if you are staying at the Sheraton Grand Chicago.

Very nice! Good price value with good food! A little short on wait staff but all else was very nice!

Dinner alone during ASCO. Pretty jet lagged so I eat at hotel. Nice welcome, and restaurant 6 pm is rather empty so I get great table. Sparkling water and bread and butter arrives fast. I order scallops with Asian twist and then filet with peppercorn sauce. Sautéed spinach. Glass of white wine. Bread is great and warm - butter not so convincing. The scallops are fine, some mango and chili. Beef competent but on the salty side. Get sauce bearnaise in stead of peppercorn and ask for change. I quickly get the peppercorn sauce which is slightly sweetish and not peppery enough for my taste. Wine is good. Spinach fine. I ask for coffee which is pretty poor quality - not fresh and had that burned quality when coffee gas stood heated for too long. Restaurant start to fill and I pay and head backs to room. Pretty good lazy alternative if staying at Sheraton Grand in Chicago.

If one doesn't mind to eat in the hotel restaurant the place is not bad. They had good steaks, nice service and an average price. All in all a recommendation.

The steak here is good but the service a bit showy and the prices very expensive. I guess one is paying a bit for the Shula showmanship.

First trip to Shula's Chicago. Been to DC and Orlando. Food was great; service was better; a great dinner. Appetizers were fresh and good portions; bread hot and fresh; steaks fabulous.

Shula's Steak House inside the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers at 301 E North Water St, Chicago, IL. 60611 We were first greated by Gwen the hostess, friendly and inviting. Invited us to the bar, Stephanie the bartender made one of the best martinis I have ever had. Mary our server was amazing a true professional in customer service. Let is know the meat is wet aged and grown on the families own farm. The quality is very high. Leacent was a great back. The "cowboy" cut is one of the very best steaks I have ever had. Shelly the GM stopped at our table to see how are everything was. We told her all of the above,

Great traditional steak and seafood restaurant. Price is up there but not out of line with other high end steakhouses. Decent value for what you get. Would eat here again.

Stopped in on a recent business trip. The service was amazing, the food was delicious, and the steak was the best I've ever had. Cooked to a perfect medium rare. I will definitely go again if I'm ever back in Chicago.

Shula's Steak House is on point. Everything is cooked to perfection. The steak tenderloin tips are by far the best I have ever had. The crab mac and cheese is excellent. Not only is this the best food I've had in Chicago but the service is one of a kind. Jeff and James are the most attentive, awesome bartenders. I will always make this a stopping point every time I'm in Chicago. Way to go Shula's!!!!! You guys ROCK!!!

This is a hidden gem in the Streeterville area of Chicago. The restaurant it located on the main floor of the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk Hotel. Both Chef Chayanne and Chef Christian along with our waitress Maria took amazing care of us. DRINKS: Every dinning experience should start with a round of drinks and at Shulas they mix few good ones. We started the night with makers old fashioned garnished with an orange peel and two cherries (yay) and French 75, a lemon forward bubbly refresher. APPETIZERS: It’s hard to find a favorite among the four delicious appetizers we have tried. The smokey flavor of the braised pork belly made my taste buds dance with happiness. The calamari was prepared perfectly with crisp breading on the outside. The Creole Shrimp dish arrived with five jumbo shrimp smothered in delicious Cajun flavor sauce. And of course, we can not forget about the four mini Mini Ahi Tuna Tacos that came with a huge bank of flavors. Served on a bed of Avocado Mousse, dressed with pineapple relish and gochujang aioli is an absolute must. MAIN COURSE: Per chef’s recommendation we decided on Atlantic Halibut. The fish fillet was perfectly prepared on a bed of sauté Spinach, accompanied with Potato Gnocchi, and dressed with Pickled Fresno and Grapefruit chunks. The 28oz Tomahawk Ribeye, made to the requested temperature, was simply the BEST ribeye I had in the city. Our main course arrived with two shareable sides, fluffy mashed potatoes and mixed mushrooms. Both great side but the mixed mushrooms deserve the extra recognition. Unlike the boring (I mean traditional) white mushrooms served almost everywhere else, At Shulas mixed mushrooms are made with six different kinds of micro shrooms creating a unique dish. DESSERT: Please note that by this time we had a large bag of leftovers knowing that this part of the dinner is also going to be epic. And it didn’t disappoint. The cream brûlée is absolutely amazing and comes on a huge dish garnished with three types of berries. The cheesecake is an absolute bomb. I am a total cheesecake junkie and this one not only hit the spot but as I am writing this review three days later it still has me craving another bite.

Save your money for the Japanese. They appreciate a good steak. Food was great, service was good. We had a large group of 8 so difficult to talk with the large table. Oh, forgot about the language issue.

After a long travel day of delays etc we decided to eat here because we have been to other Shula's. Service was good menu and choices fine. Started with an Ahi app, then a wedge and finished with a filet. It was everything you expected

A party of three, we all ordered pan-seared scallops. Expected a steak place to know how to sear a scallop. Big mistake ! All unanimously agreed: Way way overcooked. The feel of a rubber ball on the mouth, maybe a raw marshmallow? It was hard to realize we were eating supposedly-juicy scallops straight off the ocean. Yet, we enjoyed a crisp sauvignon blanc from New Zealand Marlborough Valley. I regretted having been too lazy to walk a couple of minutes to a real restaurant.

5:30 reservations, service was great but became good as the restaurant filled up. They were short wait staff, too many tables to cover necessary when your bill is $500 for 2 adults & 2children. Lobster was good , salmon was excellent , steaks were good , having eaten here many times it was good not great

For a city that prides itself on great dining, Shulas is by far the biggest disappointment. Invited by some business colleagues I had high expectations of door stop sized steaks, great wine and the all American 'Whoop, whoop, go Shula' experience. What we actually had was a fairly bland night out with over cooked steaks at a price point that offered wayyy more. I get it's a chain, but there's no atmosphere just pictures of sporting legends and a football plonked on your table whilst frankly bored staff rattle off the menu like it's the safety briefing on Space Mountain. The wine list is unimaginative, featuring predictable choices from the 2nd tier producers around the country. My steak was well done when I ordered medium rare - if it was dry aged before, it was in its retirement by the time it hit my plate. Chewy, under-seasoned with all moisture having been removed at source, more a hunk of flesh rather than the tender melt in the mouth experience anticipated. The sides were ok and that's being kind, the sprouts had clearly just landed from Brussels on a United flight, their Asparagus travelling buddies seemed to have been dragged off as they were wilted, battered and confused. We passed on desert being told they took 40-60 minutes to prepare, perhaps they would have rescued this mediocre experience but I highly doubt it.

Expected something on par with Morton's, McCormick & Schmick's, etc., especially in downtown Chicago. Guests wearing shorts and baseball hats, limited menu, quite underwhelming experience. Much better options in Chicago.

Ambience was nice. Service was great. I was seated immediately and my order taken immediately. Unfortunately my 10 oz. filet mignon was very dry and not very tasty. Bearnaise sauce was salty. Baked potato was very good. Overall....not thrilled.

ate here 3 days ago with three other people. the food was great. hard to find rare salmon but it was prepared superbly. the east coast oysters were generously sized and tasty. creamed spinach, steakes, au gratin potatoes all excellent also. the service was great. highly recommended.

Came here while staying at the Sheraton. Great steak, juicy and perfectly cooked. Polite staff and ok atmosphere.

As other reviewers the martinis are great with blue cheese stuffed olives. The oysters are fresh in May from east coast. The steaks are good but overpriced but that is typical in tourist area of Chicago. The atmosphere is nice on the river but you could do better with your money.

I'm from Cleveland, Ohio we have Shula's 2 here which is more a sports bar kind of restaurant Shula's is a steakhouse. I've eaten a t this Shula's twice the steaks are great it's like any upper class restaurant where everything is ala carte so its pricey, but the quality has always been good. If your a football fan you'll enjoy all the memorabilia on the walls. If your up to it take the 48oz porterhouse steak challenge!

I ate there one evening and had the wedge salad - excellent - and the crab mac and cheese... I have had a lot of mac and cheese experience and have to say it was the best in every way.... their blue cheese stuffed olive dirty martini is an award winner as well... really cold and just enough dirty... I will be heading back there next time I'm in town...

I think every sports fan and most guys as well as girls have to come here, if they know of Shula at all. Then again few wouldn't know why he is. My Friends from out of town wanted to have a steak dinner here. We had some wines and beers, sided are a la carte, as expected of a good steak house. I had a filet and a Caesar, the others had to have filet or New York strip steaks with some potatoes, baked and truffles fries too, we did balance out the meat and potatoes with some sautéed mushrooms and spinach. I honestly don’t think we actually came here for the food, but rather so my friends could hold the football. They were more interested in holding the football for pics than our meal.

Wow..just wow. From online this place didn't look amazing but when me and my family walked through the doors we were amazing. We were welcomed and the people serving were lovely. I ordered lobster brisk and it came in about 2 minutes. I highly reccomend the mac & cheese. The steak was a perfect size and again didn't take very long. The only think they could possibly improve on Is the prices, I could say that it was expensive. They also don't have a kids meal but ny wife and my child shared a steak and they both couldn't eat it all as it is very filling which means that the serving sizes are great! 😀 overall I recommend to try out shulas!!!

The menu offered a good variety. The steaks and sides were delicious and the service was top notch! It is the only restaurant open for dinner in the hotel so it was convenient.

I took a client of mine to dinner at Shula's Steak House and we were delighted. We both had a Caesar salad along with the 8 oz filet mignon (and a side of sauteed mushrooms.) The salad was fresh and crisp. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and the sauteed mushrooms were the perfect compliment. We both had different wines which were excellent. The service was spectacular - Were were discussing business and did not feel intruded upon by the waiter at all. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Enjoyed a great dinner. Steak and crab cakes with three different sides. Food was excellent. Wine and cocktails were good.

When my daughters and I walked into this restaurant, there were several very creepy men sitting at the bar. They were staring at us like we were steaks they just brought out. It was awful. I don't know if they had been sitting there drinking all night but my daughters were extremely uncomfortable. Well...the bartender saw what was happening and came over and found us a table on the other side of the room. It was very obvious he was trying to save us from this weird and uncomfortable situation. The service from this man was wonderful! He was kind and funny and prompt. The food was delicious. I had a caesar salad which was very good and we all shared some appetizers and fries. My daughter got the mac n cheese which was delicious. All in all, besides the weirdos that had nothing to do with the restaurant itself, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely go back!

Totally enjoyed this fine restaurant. Delicious food - filet mignon was out of this world, prepared perfectly. Lots of football pics but decor is still very nice. Sat by the window wall so could see city. Wait staff were top notch. Medium price point.

Our favorite restaurant is Shula's in Orlando/Disney. We literally plan our Disney trips around it. When we had the opportunity to be in Chicago, it was a no-brainer that we were finally going to give Shula's Chicago a try. We aren't that familiar with downtown, and were a bit worried what the parking situation would be. No worries! It is located in a hotel, so we simply pulled up and they took our car and set it aside (did not valet park it). Since we were dining at Shulas, the rate was only $13. Very convenient. It was a Friday night, about 7pm, no reservations, not that busy, so we were seated immediately. Of course, we couldn't help comparing this experience to ours at the Orlando location. Our server was good, but not great. She was slow to get drinks, but never would ask my husband what he wanted. My poor hubby sat there with either no drinks, or an empty glass. Needless to say, he wasn't impressed. She seemed to sneak away every time before he could get her attention. Food was good, but not great like in Orlando. We always look forward to the fresh bread, and it didn't disappoint. The hardest part is stopping oneself so we still had room for our meal! Starting out, we shared the French Onion soup - excellent. Small note, our server in Orlando separates the soup for us as we are sharing, but then again he is used to us. We both had the Cowboy steak and they were cooked correctly (medium), but both a bit tough. Flavor was good. Sides were fine, but the roasted corn was missing some flavor we are used to. In summary, it was good and glad we got to try it, but it just didn't match up to all of our experiences at Shula's in Orlando.

Very disappointed with this place, the restaurant is still not open I guess due to ‘covid’, so all there is is the small bar area serving basic bar food with a little extra. The Manager spent more time chatting up one of the women at the bar and complimenting her on how much she knew about sports, rather than being equally more attentive to all the other customers at the bar, we all know what that leads! Service is at his ‘pace’ Anyway, not a good experience, ok for a quick drink I suppose if you can stomach listening to a corny male CP.

We stayed at the Sheraton Grand, where this restaurant is attached to. After a long day shopping we decided to rest the feet & eat here. We made a reservation & staff sorted us a table at the appropriate time. The portions are big & the waitress did recommend we could share if we had smaller appetites. We shared a filet steak, jumbo potato & steamed spinach. That was one of the best steaks I’ve had, tender piece of meat. They also have a cocktail menu, I enjoyed my Havana Libre. This place is at the pricey end, but with the food quality it’s definitely worth it 😊

I came here looking for a steak and the server suggested the steak and turf medley. Had the second best bbq shrimp in my life here (mr b’s in New Orleans was #1). The medallions were done perfectly medium rare and they even brought me scallops as a bonus besides the crab cake. Did I mention the drinks are great too? Sold 5 stars.

My coworker got filet mignon with fish and bbq shrimp. I️ ate filet mignon with scallops and crab cake. Brussel sprouts on the side. Sprouts had a good flavor to them. Everything was cooked as ordered. The waitress was great. She made me feel like I️ was back home with her awesome hospitality. Drank, ate, socialized while watching the football game. The price scared me until I️ ate. It was worth it.

I know it was Christmas evening when we dined here, but the service was very slow and the food all came out barely warm. My group was all from Chicago. We were all excited to try this place for the first time, because every Christmas we have gone to The Grill on the Alley at the Westin and wanted to try a new steak place for Christmas to make it a new tradition. Unfortunately, this first experience was pretty bad, because the service was extremely slow, however, the server was friendly whenever he was able to show up at our table. All the servers seemed to be running in all sorts of directions. ALL of our food was served barely warm enough to eat. I noticed another table send their food back, because it was to warm and then had to wait about 20 minutes for the food to return. I really wanted to like this place, because we liked the location and the menu options. If the food could have been served at the proper temperature and the restaurant had adequate staffing this review could have been totally different. There were five of us dining and each paid roughly $125 for what was a memorable experience, but in the wrong way for Shula's. If you are going to be open on Christmas or any other major holiday, please remember to not take a lot of reservations if you do not have enough staff (kitchen/wait). Better to turn people away then give them a bad experience. Not sure if we will be returning in the future.

Dinner for two on a Saturday night. Everything was excellent. Clean, great ambiance, awesome service, food was top notch. We both had steaks, cooked perfectly, huge portions, tender and full of flavor. Sides were big enough for four people. I will go back whenever I want a top notch steak experience.

We have eaten at Shula’s Orlando many times. Always left sated and happy. The Chicago location? Not so much. The room is beautiful. After the apparently obligatory “Do you want this lousy table” tour (YES! We simply LOVE sitting by the open kitchen door watching your staff fly by!) we got a decent seat by the windows. Wine list is small compared to most steakhouses but there are decent bottles at decent prices to be found. (Average $30/bottle less than other Chicago steakhouses we visited.) Menu looks pretty standard if dated. The food however... Our steaks arrived looking like 5 miles of rough road. Blatantly overcooked and looking like a dog had a quick chew on them before sending this out. Seriously?!? (In Orlando they cut into your steak and shine a little flashlight at the center to ensure the cook is correct.) Our waiter dropped the plates and immediately scampered off into witness protection I assume. Then the partners in crime arrived. Burnt corn and equally burnt Brussel spouts. They didn’t even bake the baked potato properly which arrived near raw. The food was ridiculously bad so we sent the whole mess back. I will commend the host staff for recognizing how bad it was. (“We’ll speak to the chef.” How about yelling at the chef who should frankly be ashamed for sending such steaks out.) The removed the steaks from the bill. Our waiter never made a return visit and we left to scrounge up a dinner elsewhere. Final score Orlando 48 Chicago 0

This restaurant is located in the Sheraton Grand where we stayed. Our group of 7 was seated right away on a Saturday night. We were early and the place was pretty empty but started to get more diners as the evening progressed but never got full. Service was friendly and attentive and we had a nice basket of fresh, warm bread. Menu is a la carte. I ordered the scallops which comes on a bed of corn and chopped asparagus. The scallops had an odd after taste and I couldn't finish them because of it (and I love scallops). The bed of corn was better than the scallops. I also ordered a side dish of crab mac and cheese. It was disappointing, arrived luke warm, didn't have much flavor and I couldn't taste the crab. My sister ordered the mac and cheese without the crab and she said she couldn't taste the difference. Also, she said her mac and cheese was cold. Unfortunately, I ordered a dessert at the same time as my meal as the waitress said they were made to order and required at least 30 minutes. After the lackluster meal, I wished I hadn't gotten dessert. I ordered the chocolate soufflé and it was pretty good, but it wasn't great. I only had a coke, so no alcohol and my bill was about $87 (gratuity was included). Even though the service was good, it can't make up for bad, overpriced food. I would not recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I visited as part of our stay at the hotel. We were told that platinum members received a 10% discount so we decided to try. The meal started out great with absolutely amazing warm sourdough bread. From there, it was mostly down hill. The French onion soup had good flavor, but it was covered in excessive amounts of what appeared to be (tasted like) mozzarella cheese; I prefer the traditional gruyere cheese. My wife had the seafood trio appetizer and all the seafood was flavorless and likely frozen. My combo platter had scallops which were very good but my steak medallions and grilled salmon were over-cooked and not seasoned. I would definitely not return. In addition there was no discount as promised. Pass on this place.

Only one server for the bar The food was so salty I couldn't eat it--all of it salty, steak, spinach-and mushrooms No one care or asked how it was Took forever to get my bill Could use credit card because system was down Crazy awful 😦

Awesome atmosphere! Great friendly service! Amazing food and drink options! We had a great time and will return!

There are no surprises at Shulas. Food is consistently good at the Shulas restaurants. Living in Miami, I was an early fan of the initial Miami Lakes location. I have eaten in Shulas in a number of cities and the food is consistently good and service is attentive but not pretentious. In Chicago, I tried fish (salmon) rather than the traditional steak and it rivaled any good fish restaurant I have tried. The sides and desserts were also very good.

We had a very nice meal here. I was a little annoyed that the hostess took the hat and coat of the lady in front of me, but never offered to take mine. Small detail, but I would expect better. Guess my coat was not good enough... The food and drinks were good (steaks were amazing), but also very expensive. The waitress did a good job, but was very rushed with us. The atmosphere was very nice for a date night but honestly, there are other similarly priced steakhouses downtown with a better overall experience.

I ate at a Shula's in Orlando and was sorely disappointed so when the boss said he made reservations here I was not excited. Boy was I wrong! Delicious, flavorful, tender filet minon paired with brussel sprouts. Then to top it off, a 7 layer chocolate cake. Service was great and the atmosphere was nice.

I'm a pescetarian but the restaurant offers a lot of sea food options. We had a large appetizer platter and then I had the side of crab mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was great. Fantastic idea with the crab and well done. The appetizers were good but not special, in fact the shrimp seasoning and dips rather boring, and therefore, with $150 for the platter (designed as appetizer for 6) overpriced in my opinion. The wine was very good, and normally priced I thought. I went out with $100 for one very good glass of wine, a 25%share of an ok appetizer platter, and a great side of crab mac and cheese. The portions are big, the service is good, but excellent tho.

On a recent business trip to Chicago I had the pleasure of dining at Shula's Steak House with a couple of business associates. Like just about all of the high end steak houses around the country Shula's steaks were excellent but very pricey. The smallest cut an 8 oz. filet was $46 and they went up in price from there. Add a bottle of wine and a couple of the shared sides and you rack up one heck of a tab. I'm not complaining because the food and the service were spot on and the tab was on the company. It would have to be a very special occasion for me to dine at Shula's with my wife just because of the prices.

Why do we choose to go to a steakhouse? The obvious answer is that we desire a memorable meal, a great steak, superb sides, a adequate size full bodied drink and somethings not on the menu such as ambience, efficiency and well timed service. There are many steak houses in this city but this is always my favorite.

After reading the mixed reviews we decided to give it a try and were not dissapointed. The steak was cooked to perfection and wine was amazing. You did have to order your sides seperatly which made it a bit pricey. Great service with polite and efficent staff. Enjoyed my experience

I ate at the bar and Sean was great. He was courteous, took my order right away, and the steak was delicious. I had a New York Strip and it was perfect. Only downside was that it was pretty expensive. Other than that I had a great meal.

My wife and I had dinner here one evening while staying at the Sheraton Grand. We were visiting from Atlanta and having tried several “outside” restaurants past evenings, decided to “eat in” and try Shula’s. We started with an order of calamari then split one of the larger filet mignons. Typical of a fine steak house, the filet was cooked just right, very tender and very tasty. Topped off with a nice red wine, it was a great meal. Typical of this type of steak house, the prices are a bit up there, but overall worth it!

Staying at the Sheraton in Chicago, we ate at Shula's twice. Both experiences were great. First time was a late snack since we'd just arrived. The lobster bisque and Caesar salad hit the spot. They didn't have the wine we wanted, but gave us an upgrade for free. Full dinner the second time, and again wonderful food and service. As we lingered over our wine, the staff kept our water glasses filled but didn't interrupt our conversation. I'd return without a doubt.

The server told us they were out of 8 0z filet mignon so we ordered 12 oz. Cooked perfectly , however served with a room temperature baked potato with fixings on the side. I asked if the potato could be heated up and it was returned to the table in maybe a very slightly warmer temperature. Very poor. I ordered a bottle of Simi Cabernet Sauvignon and it tasted like vinegar. The waiter was very inept at reading my cues. He was totally clueless. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

It has taken me a year to write this, Frankly, until Trip Advisor reminded me, I had forgotten to pan this restaurant. However, I hadn't forgotten how bad it was. This was one of the worst dining experiences ever. Shula's has a good reputation but it is a mystery to me. Maybe others have had more positive experiences, but for us... The service was slow (we sat for 10 minutes before even seeing our waiter for the first time), and inattentive (at one point we had to ask a different server to find ours and send him to our table. And to top it off, this "steakhouse" served me one of the worst cuts of meats i've ever had. I bought a $45 steak and ate about six bites. If I could give this joint zero stars, I would.

We were staying at the Sheraton for a convention so we decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. It was $186 wasted! My daughter (11) and I split the 16oz NY Strip (that was around $75) and ordered French fries as our side. The fries were cold and, after one bite of our overcooked steak, my daughter said “We can get a better steak at Texas Roadhouse for like $20!” She isn’t wrong writhed! The best thing about my meal was the wine. However, our waiter was fabulous!!!

Nothing wrong with Shula’s. Service was very good. However there are better places for Steaks. If your charging premium prices, the experience should be premium. It wasn’t bad, just not great.

It was pouring out so we decided to eat in the hotel which hosts Shula’s Steak. We have had drinks at the bar several times which was fine but we decided to be seated. It was pretty quiet considering it was a Saturday night and also a large convention is in town. The service was average. We ordered soup and several apps as opposed to a dinner entree and I did not specific to bring the soup first so everything came at once. I assumed it would be understood. The Onion Soup was ok and could have been hotter. The steak tips were excellent and perfectly cooked and you get what I consider an entree portion in the appetizer. The sides were just ok. Twice baked potato lacked flavor although it and the baked potato were huge. Drinks were fine. Definitely does not live up to what I consider top steakhouses in service and quality such as Capital Grille et al.

Shula's service Quality is average..meat is delicious but not fantastic. Location is the best advantage. However I would recommend shula's especially for the ones staying at Sheraton.

Food was very good. Porterhouse and wedge salad were excellent. The problem? Service. The Maître D' even though we had reservations, made us wait for 10 minutes while a number of tables were free. Waiter did not know name of aperitif wines available at the bar. A training issue? Perhaps he had too many tables to serve - he was rushing us which is not nice for a restaurant of this class. Also, had to wait for a long time to get a check. This is the reason why I would not give more stars. Shula has room to improve service. Prices are high - and would represent "value" if the establishment could provide better service.

Shula’s in the Dolphin at Disney is imo the best steakhouse around. Shula’s in Chicago is not. A gristly NY Strip, done medium well instead of the medium rare I’d asked for. Dull taste regardless. Boring tasteless sauce, like French dip at an outback. Hugely expensive. The onion soup was pretty good. Ask for that to go, then head to Volare. And let’s hope these guys head to Florida to see what a Shula’s can be,

My wife and I stayed at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Chicago for our anniversary. We were looking forward to finding a steakhouse and were pleasantly surprised to find this conveniently located inside of the hotel lobby. I have seen a Shula's restaurant before in Tampa, but we have never been for dinner. After check-in we made a reservation and started with the French onion soup. It's delicious, especially if you really enjoy cheese. We both went with the 8 oz filet which was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The sides are large enough to share. We went with the au gratin potatoes which were also delicious. For dessert we decided to allow our food to digest and chose the apple cobbler, which takes 30 minutes to cook, but was well worth it with ice cream. All together it was a great experience and our server was great as well. Looking forward to coming back again one day!

Completely predictable menu and atmosphere, but still ok. Perfect as a business dinner venue for a large party not willing to roam around for too long or wait for a table anywhere else. Had a good bottle of wine as well. Service was pretty good, quick and attentive. It was a bit slow night for them and it the wive in the place was a bit tired, but still an OK choice. At least we did not have to tell the entire evening to hear each other.

My wife and I were staying at the Sheraton Grand, and inasmuch as Shula's is connected to the lobby, we decided to end our day there with a quick meal. We are kind of tired and not interested in walking to another locale. We sat at the bar, had a couple of beers and a couple of appetizers - calamari and a crab cake. Great choice, both were exceptionally good. Had I been hungrier I would have ordered something else. Service was great, food was great and the conversation we struck up with another couple at the bar made it just the perfect evening ender.

We are guests of Sheraton grand and our party of 6 decided to have dinner at Shulas last night. Our waiter was plain obnoxious and absolutely condescending. He “greeted” us by hovering over us to order a drink and then yelled at us to get appetizers when we didn’t want any. The waiter didn’t seem interested in recommending sides and or appetizers. He was also very careless if delivering the dishes to the tables, the entrees were delivered to the wrong person. Overall, we were looking forward to a nice dinner with our family and ended up leaving annoyed, upset and frankly have no desire to return ever.

Shula's is very consistent. We have been in some of their other locations before. Portions are generous.

Ok. We have eaten at Shula's several times. This experience was a disaster. We ordered drinks and all was ok. Then everything went down hill. The French onion soup was luke warm. We waited way too long for our steaks and everything was basically cold. We didn't enjoy any part of our meal. The brossel sprouts and mushrooms were also cold. We have eaten at Shula's before and this was a total disaster. We will go to Ruth's Chris in the next two days. It was probably one of the worst dinners I have had in 30 years.

Great service ...wonderful food! Since we were staying at the Sheraton Grand it was a great connivence, of course keep in mind pricey!

This place is the BEST! We live near St. Louis. There used to be a Shula's in downtown St. Louis - that is where we were hooked. Unfortunately, the St. Louis location closed. The next nearest Shula location is Chicago. We missed the steak so much, that twice a year (on our birthday's) we jump on the bus in St. Louis in the wee hours of the morning and go to Chicago for the day. We explore the city and head for Shula's and our birthday dinner at 5:30. After dinner, we hop back on the bus to St. Louis. It's a long day, but the meal is that good! I love steak and have eaten in many fine steakhouses - Shula's is flavor is unique and quality is second to none. Their crabcakes and remoulade melts in your mouth - - - they are so good I cannot believe they are not illegal!!! Equal to the food is the staff - The manager Amanda is so welcoming - she makes you feel like you are sitting down with old friends. The waitstaff is unparalleled - Milan and Kelly can guide you thru the selections efficiently without being stuffy - there when you need them- yet giving you space to enjoy your meal. Very friendly! When we leave we are already anticipating our next visit! You could spend more other places but you will never do better!!!!

During a recent city break my wife and I had an evening meal in Shula's - we had pre-booked in advance to ensure we got a table. Upon arrival we were greeted at the podium by a friendly member of staff before having a pre dinner G&T at the bar. The lighting is low with the walls covered with pictures of the great Don Shula and the NFL, I must say it had been done well. Food and service was great, the roasted corn was lovely & my filet steak just perfect! Not the cheapest meal of our stay but it was the best, next time in Chicago I'll be sure to eat in Shula's again. Just wish I'd bought one of the polo shirts!

Shula's Steak House has delicious and flavorful steaks and sides in a quality atmosphere. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need for the best meal.

It was my last night in Chicago with a 6am flight in about 8 hours, so I grabbed dinner at Shula's, off the lobby of my hotel, The Sheraton Grand. It was prior to the dinner rush and I dined alone, so the service, food and drinks were my primary focus. I've eaten at a few Shula's before and this one was probably the best. First, it carried over the posh feel of the hotel, but the service was exceptional and the food was even better than I remembered it to be at other Shula's. As my title states, Shula's in general are light on the salt with their handling and preparing their exceptional cuts of meat. I have no issues with blood pressure, but I REALLY appreciate that. Plus, it speaks to the quality of meats that they purchase. I had the bone-in Cowboy Ribeye, which was excellent. I asked for medium and I got medium. It was well marbled and the ring of fat around the meat was not overbearing, so well worth the "risk" of enjoying some sweet fat with my remarkably tender beef. Knowing that the steak and 1/2 of the fresh baked Sour Dough bread was going to fill me sufficiently, my side was the grilled baby Brussel Sprouts: seasoned with a touch of bacon and vinegar/oil. I travel and therefore like to explore local IPAs, and they excelled on that front as well. They had a double IPA which was very good, but be careful, the APV is 8.7........translation: a shot and a beer chaser in one bottle. Martini rule should be followed: one is not enough and 3 is way too many. Great dining....don't miss it.

great steak and sides. service was excellent and there were no surprises. price was comparable to other places of similar quality and food. overall a very good experience and i would return.

We didn't want to leave the hotel and my co-worker really wanted steak. I'm not a big expert on steak, so I had the fish, which was really soft and delicious. My co-worker had a steak and seemed to like it. We had a few sides and drinks which all came out well. The service was excellent, attentative service and very good patient at explaining the menu. We were warned to order an hour in advance the dessert which we did and it was equally good. Price tag for 2, $400. ouch.

We chose this restaurant for convenience as it was inside of our hotel. Dined here on a Saturday evening and it was almost empty. That should have been our red flag. It’s very expensive and our steak wasn’t good at all. If you want fine dining that you will enjoy, please choose another restaurant.

We had dinner on New Years Day at Shula's. We had a filet mignon and a ribeye. Both were delicious and seasoned perfectly. The sides are enough to feed two easily and are also very tasty. We were too full to try dessert. There is a bar for drinks before and after. This restaurant is located inside the Grand Sheraton which makes it very convenient. The staff was friendly and efficient. Make a reservation as the dining room filled very quickly when we were there.

Had a great time gathering at the bar in Shula's each night before and after dinner. Very comfortable atmosphere and the bartenders were great. Not cheap but then it's Chicago!

A comfy bar and great discussion and crafted cocktails. If we lived in Chicago we would be regulars!

Feel like a mouth watering steak then you can't go passed Shula's. Service amazing, ambient atmosphere, family's, singles and couples all sharing a meal. Limited menu, this is definitely the house of superb steak. Good portion sizes

Stopped in twice in the same night 12/1, once before dinner for an appetizer & glass of wine before dinner at another restaurant & again after dinner for a drink. Asked for a quick appetizer & had shrimp cocktail within 10 minutes. 3 hours later bartender remembered the wine I had earlier. Good job!

I experienced great service and delicious food! Lobster Bisque and pan seared Scallops a must! The view of Chicago street level at night adds great ambiance!

I looked Shula,s up and it was highly recommended. Nice decor but a little dark inside. Not much atmosphere but I did go early 6pm. The staff were very efficient and helped with my choices. I found the lobster bisque very salty but the steak was excellent if a little pricy. I have had better for less $$. I felt a little rushed to get me in and out as I was on my own. Overall it was a decent meal but not a restaurant I would visit again on my next trip.

The staff is absoluteyl wonderful, polite, attentive, couldn't ask for better service. The menu on a football is a fun, unique idea. The steak was ver.ry good, but I can't say its the best I've ever had. The desert on the other hand was to die for. We where informed right away that if we wanted a desert we should order it when we ordered our meal since all deserts where home made and took anywhere from 30-45 minutes to make. So we ordered desert. It was heavenly, a triple Crème brûlée. Each one one better than the previous. Over all wa a little pricey but certainly well worth it. So go ahead splurge

Inside the Sheraton hotel, it's pretty average for hotel eatery. The prices were pretty high and the food pretty average. I have eaten at the Shula's in Orlando and it is much better in Florida. I honestly cannot say why there is a difference but it's night and day. I am sure there are much better Steak houses in Chicago. After eating here in Chicago, I would pass on eating there again.

8 oz filet was 46 dollars, and you had to add potatoes (I choose good truffle fries) at 11 dollars. Add one glass of wine (14) and dessert (19) and the total bill, tip included, was 105. The filet was tender and very good and service was excellent, so it is only the price that gives the low rating.

I had the fried calamari appetizer and a salad. Both were OK. I had better salads in my life. The calamari were kind of overcooked or microwaved. The staff is friendly and they try to achieve an up level atmosphere.

Great steaks, great appetizers, great drinks served by friendly professional wait staff! Try the filet!!

Actually have had much better steaks at Flemings, Mortons, and Ruth Chris. Expected much more for the prices charged. Prefer the bone-in rib eye at Ruth Chris most.

We checked into the Sheraton after 9pm and didn't have many options to eat. Shula's was a wonderful surprise with crab cakes and steak. Great food.

We dined here while staying at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk Hotel. We had a very good meal of steak and salad. The service was very good. The only downside was that it was very pricey, even by steakhouse standards.

We enjoyed fantastic steaks, crab mac -n-cheese and a smooth glass of Zin at Shula's...and all without the wait! There are several steakhouses surrounding this area that we could have tried, but after a long day of walking and visiting museums, we decided to stay local to the hotel and avoid long waits at some of the more trendy steakhouses. I had eaten at Shula's years ago at their DisneyWorld location and remembered it being very good - it still is. Get the side of bernaise - it was to die for. The freshly baked warm loaf of bread that is served with the meal is melt in your mouth delicious. Attentive, non-rushed services was a bonus, along with the window seat for all the people watching.

Ambiance gets a good star. Dinner: Hubby had the striped bass and loved it. I had the 8oz filet and couldn't finish it. Mine had virtually no flavor. Sides: Hubby loved the green beans, I could only eat a few as they were overly dressed and way too sweet. Double baked potato was decent. Result: I barely made it back to my room to lose my entire dinner.

Service was very slow and not good. You would expect for the Money your are paying top notch service. For the quality of food it’s way overpriced.

Typical top end US steakhouse. Portion sizes are not for the feint hearted and the prices match the food. Super quality meat and fish

I stayed in the Sheraton in which Shula’s is located for a work trip. I found Shula’s location to be very convenient. I ate here twice for dinner. Night one I had the grouper which I found much better than the NY steak I had on night two. The steak was good but wasn’t as good as other steaks in the area. The biggest disappointment is that there is no draft beer here.
Better Food All Over the City
I arrived for a business trip and wanted to eat at the hotel. I was seated without looking at the menu. ..my bad. I ordered the Cowboy steak for $50. It was a really fatty ribeye that needed salt. Sautéed mushrooms for an additional $10 were great. The grilled asparagus for another $12 was not fresh and very chewy. I was seated as far away from the window with views as possible, even though the place was almost empty. And the setting sun almost blinded me for a short period of time. There are so many other choices. Go anywhere else.
