Food ranges from good to fantastic

By BC_Dallas_Texas |

Location can be hard to find if you have never been there as it sits below street level on Oak Lawn. The service is fantastic and the level of attention and the low turnover of the staff gives the feel of the attention received in a family run business. The prices are good and the quality of the dishes range with the price. At the lower price end are some very good bargains but the quality of the food in the dishes is lower end. However, if you chose from one of the items under House Specialties, ($18-25 price range), those dishes are really tasty with high quality ingredients. If have been there three times. The last trip I ordered the red curry lamb from the House Specialties selection. This dish was really fantastic.

Very tasty

By GSSATLANTA |

A very nice, popular local place with better than average Thai food. The service is very good and prices are very fair ($3.00 Singha Beer)

Don't miss this one!

By Eviesroadtrips |

My husband and I have marked this restaurant as one of our new favorites in Dallas! The food is just delicious! My husband was thrilled to find a restaurant in our hometown that serves his favorite Thai curry dish with pineapple (he travels a lot and tells me it is not so easy to find it).The atmosphere is more casual than formal and the place has an average ambience I would say, but once you experience the excellent food and attentive service you won't be sorry. It has delivered excellence every time we have been there (about 6 times).

Great!!

By AJ V |

The food was fantastic - peanut chicken with coconut rice. Great portion but not too much (and I eat a lot). Staff was friendly - lots of smiles. Definitely recommended.

Tasty genuine Asian foods

By AppleStud |

I found the serving staff a bit undercertain on the items on the menu. The food was quite tasty and prices a bit above average.

Si Lom is YumYum!

By bouncebackmom |

If you're not looking down, you may miss this little gym which is Tucktaway on the lower floor of 3300 Oak Lawn Ave In the past two weeks, I dined here twice while I'm business. Each time, I had excellent experience. Food and service are exceptional and if you're on business, you'll be in and out in under an hour without trading down on service or food quality. The waitress even remembered my order as well as my colleagues order from the previous visit. Pretty impressive. My only tip would be to recommend that you don't sit in front of the door which is not protected from the elements. Otherwise order anything on the menu. It all looks and tastes great

Always great food!

By Stephen F |

We eat there for lunch often; it is a place where it is quiet enough to actually talk to people. The Thai menu is extensive and I have never had a poor selection there. If you like Thai food are in Mid-Town, this is the place to go.

Family favorite! ❤️

By 𝑲𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒂 🦉 |

Delicious food, exotic atmosphere… I love the pineapple fried rice and pad Thai. I noticed that they changed the restaurant decor since 2020 or 2019, I forgot. So much Buddhas and exotic decoration…this is the place for Thai food! Service is great, decoration is awesome, and the food…mwah!

Consistent experience, authentic Thai food, and friendly service

By Brianna H |

Come hungry! The food is great, the portions are large, and the prices are reasonable. The ambiance is peaceful, you rarely have to wait to be seated, and the tables are always accented with fresh flowers.

Great Thai Restaurant

By jittus2015 |

Mist Thai restaurants in North America are very cautious when you ask them to make the dishes ‘Pet-pet’ - very spicy. It comes out to be North American level of spicy. Not here. They understand exactly and react very Thai like. So - be careful. Ambience is very good; food is what you would expect in a good Thai restaurant; service and prices are both acceptable;portions are almost Texas size. Nice place

Great Thai -

By yellowpixels |

Was looking for a new and better Thai experience and ran across Si Lom. This restaurant is located in the below grade level of a large building in a busy and densely built out area of Dallas - Oak Lawn. Fortunately the building has its own underground (free) garage so parking should not be an issue ( if you don't mind claustrophobic parking spaces ). This was a business lunch. The service was excellent as was the food. Tried the Pad Thai w/ tofu and one of their specialty salads - both were excellent. The tea was very refreshing. Did not have desert - maybe next time! Definitely will return.

Eaten here twice a week, every week, for 4 years

By Dana M |

I finally decided to write a positive review for my favorite Thai restaurant in Dallas. I've been to probably 10 different Thai restaurants in DFW, and this one is hands down the best. My coworkers and I eat here at least twice a week. You will not be disappointed with any of the appetizers or any of the soups (I like the tom khai). The pad Thai is the best in Dallas by far, and the curry and fried rice is also delicious. You really can't go wrong.

Great Thai Restaurant!

By Alison B |

We are so glad that we discovered this little gem of a thai restaurant! It is a little tricky to find. It is tucked behind a Goody Goody store and parking is underground. I highly recommend going for their happy hour that is weekdays 5-7 where most appetizers are half off and drinks are cheap! I get their house pinnacle vodka martini for $6 and it is the best martini in uptown! If you opt for dinner there are many great options to choose from and everything that we have tried has been excellent. The owner Chai welcomes all customers with a smile and a warm greeting. I recommend sitting at their quaint bar and weekdays request Nung to serve you or P.A. on Fridays and Saturday nights. Both are so friendly and give great service! I can't recommend this place enough!

Best Thai food in Dallas

THE BEST THAI FOOD IVE HAD!! Wonderful staff, we go there weekly and the standards never drop. Thank you Si Lom for keeping it authentic and your service consistently amazing.

Thai Extravaganza

By Lee B |

What a find this place was for us. A real taste experience, tried some old favourites and some new dishes and everyone was the best version we had ever tasted. Highly highly recommended, spiced to our own preferences and absolutely delicious. Attentive service, never left wanting for anything and a very reasonable check at the end. Brilliant

fresh clean Thai food

By Wanda Blankeship Montemayor |

We started our meal with Mango Martini's , worked our way into an the basil chicken wrap and finished with coconut soup and Moo Yang. Everything was very delish. The basil chicken wrap would have been the only 4/5 star item as it was just a little dry. The sauce compensated for it.

Dinner

By J L |

The ambience of this place is quite nice and I suppose may have a healthy feel to it being literally next door to a gym. They offer a Happy Hour with discounted drinks and appetizers. I began with the Crab & Avocado Rolls $8.95. It had Crab meat with onions, avocado with tomatoes fried in a spring roll wrapper. My entreé was the Mussaman Avocado Curry $15.95. It was Chicken with onions, Coconut Milk, peanuts & avocado served with steamed rice. It was very good and there was plenty of sauce. However, it may be greatly improved if there were more peanuts. The quantity of avocados was great. Overall the appetizer & entreé was good and event had the rest to go.

Best meal we have had in a long time!

By Danielle F |

Here is Dallas from Oklahoma on a girls weekend. There's 4 of us and we were all equally impressed. Found Si Lom via trip advisor as it was only a few miles from our hotel. Would absolutely without hesitation recommend it to any and everyone. It is a little hard to find but once you do it's more than worth it! Mixed drinks were strong. Appetizers were Delish. And mannnn oh mannnn were our entrees awesome. Mom had Panang salmon. I had green shrimp curry. Sis in law had Pad Kee Mow noodles and sister had pad Thai. All would eat them again. If you're in the area... RUN don't walk to Si Lom.

I'll add to the 'Excellents'

By Huwsie |

This restaurant has 100% excellent reviews, and there's good reason for that. I thought their food was excellent and their prices were very reasonable.

Food is Great

By Caveman7570 |

I love the curry they make here. I always get the red curry with the pineapples which will knock your socks off. My partner always gets the basil chicken which is full of flavor. If you haven't had the chance, get the basil wrapped chicken rolls. They're enough to curl your toes. The sauce they use to dip them in is full of flavor and heat. I love how they bring you a serving of ice cream between courses to cleanse the pallet. Nice touch and by far my favorite Thai restaurant in Dallas.

Delicious Thai food!

By SBR |

We eat Thai food about once a week-first visit at this Oak Lawn restaurant. Very impressed. A little hard to find, but worth looking for. There is free parking available in a parking garage and a back entrance from the garage. The menu is pretty standard, but the food isn't-good-sized portions, well prepared and presented. Calamari started was excellent-a generous portion of large pieces presented with a sweet, slightly spicy sauce. Pad thai and pad see ew were good. Vegetable delight was also good with a generous serving of different vegetables. The star was the salmon in curry sauce-perfectly cooked and delicious. For dessert, there are generous portions of ice cream in vanilla, coconut (on steroids!), and green tea. We also had an order of custard with sweet sticky rice -it was the best I've had in a long time using black sticky rice. Service was attentive and friendly. This may be my new favorite Thai restaurant!

Another Great Thai Restaurant!

By kimtong21 |

The appetizers were perfectly sized. What made them so great, were the sauces that were paired. Crispy spring rolls with a sweet sauce, Shumai pot stickers with a soy vinaigrette sauce, and basil chicken wrapped rolls.. SOOO TASTY.. then for entrees we had the Pad Su wee, the panang curry with chicken and shrimp and the crab fried rice. Pad Su Wee was good, but not overly unique. The panang curry and the crab fried rice were both cooked so well that I would say it would be one of the top restaurants that I have made those dishes. Great prices and very cute location. Cute and quaint.

WOW

By chiontheroad |

In the basement of a busy street next to a liquor store. Parking is a challenge. (I will tell you later if my car is towed or not). Staff is very accommodating, I asked for smaller portion, and the chef brought it out and specifically told me this is the smaller portion, which was perfect for me. This is the first place where I asked for Thai hot, it's actually Thai hot. Amazing. I ordered the basil chicken. Amazing flavorful and hot. Just the way it should be. Service is prompt and friendly, food is amazing, what is there not to like.

Really like Si Lom

By Thom S |

Even though Si LOm is a bit hard to find- below street level on Oak Lawn in Dallas, the food & service are really good...one of my faves for pretty healthy eating

Delicious!

By Angela S |

We sat at the bar while waiting for our take-out. The bartender was excellent- made me a very refreshing, not overly-sweet lychee martini. We were just as impressed by the food. The pad see ew I ordered was DELISH, mom loved her pad thai with shrimp, and the ginger chicken was also fantastic. The biggest surprise was that the mango sticky rice that we got for dessert totally brought us back to our trip to Thailand. While we did not dine at the restaurant I did love it's funky cool vibe.

They Deliver!

By RiverlanGone |

My coworkers recommended this place for lunch delivery as it's a favorite! My dish was Pad Thai with chicken. The dish was perfectly flavored with tender slices of white meat chicken. I really enjoyed the bean sprouts too. Another in our group ordered Tofu with fried brown rice and she let me taste her tofu--it was surprisingly good with an unexpected firm texture and not a spongy taste at all. In fact, it tasted like chicken! I then discovered a piece of tofu in my dish too! It was such a generous portion that I got 2 lunches out of the dish, which was good since the entree cost $16 ( including tax and delivery)

Hungry for spice or Italian

By Bill F |

We were trying to decide whether to walk from the Warwick Hotel or cab to Italian place. well we walked over to Si Lom in 2 minutes and were warmly greeted. The menu is terrific and our server a delight. We chose some appetizers, a green papaya salad and a Panang curry. The food was wonderful and the we chose high spice so we got the best. How we miss good Thai and asian food ...so glad we went!

Fantastic Food in a Great Location!

By Robert E |

Met some friends at Si Lom from their suggestion. What a great place. Nice atmosphere, wonderful food and great service. Maybe due to it being on a Sunday but the place wasn't that busy which was great for conversation and enjoying a terrific meal and friends. Some of the best Thai food I've had.

Superb Thai foof

By patrice d |

Everything done to perfection. Great starters, soup and main course. Everything on the menu is good. A nice cool Pinot Grigio to balance the delectable spices. Great ambiance, friendly staff. Go!

Very Good Thai food, good ambience

By Don P |

The restaurant is in a submerged location, not a basement but below sidewalk level. Most people arrived through the backdoor as it is a parking lot. Pretty steady takeout business while we were there. The Fresh Salad rolls were good. The Chicken Panang Curry was very good and the Basil Seafood was very good. The Singha beer was tasty and economical too.

Look down to find it when driving by

By aahamfam |

First, the negative would be locating parking. Luckily, it was a weekend and we just parked in front of an office building. We had to walk a little way to get back to the restaurant. It is down some steps. The food arrived quickly. It was hot and very tasty. My youngest has a more milder palate, so she ordered the orange chicken. She liked it but did comment it was a little sweeter than she was thinking.

Good service goodflavor.

By rhpatt29 |

Two couples out for a casual evening of Thai food and conversation. Good choice. Cucumber Martina's. Shrimp Blanket appetizers. Two soups, two different noodles and one curry. All shared & all flavorful. We ordered medium (3 of 5). I prefer spicier so it was milder than I would have order but I did get chili sauce to add some zip to the noodles. Overall a great evening.

One of the best Thai restaurant I have ever eaten at

By Repsaw |

My son and I had the salmon curry and a pineapple curry vegetarian dish that absolutely goes down in my books is one of the best Thai meals I have ever been too. Great flavor and the complexity was of outstanding. The only negative is you want to keep eating and trying more meals at this restaurant.

A lifesaver

By oscarjosefina |

One year of working as teachers for DISD and we barely had time to cook. Ther comes Si Lom, a real lifesaver, in terms of quantity, quality and price. We ordered food to go from them at least 20 times and were never disappointed. We had a last meal there with our friends last May. We will miss their Tom Kha and the Pad See Eiw.

Review for Si Lom Thai Asian Fusion, Dallas

By Hitesh Khatri |

This is a cute little spot with a welcoming vibe. On arrival, they gave me an option between salad and spring rolls — I chose the salad, and it was delicious. It came with a peanut sauce that was really flavorful and complemented the dish perfectly. I also tried the drunken udon noodles with chicken, and they were really good — well-balanced, nicely cooked, and satisfying. The place feels cozy and has more to offer on the menu, so I’d definitely like to come back and explore more dishes. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.

Amazing Thai restaurant

By Taylor |

Me and my girlfriend wanted a Thai place in Dallas and out of the ones that popped up we chose this one. The food was amazing and hospitality was great! They were very welcoming and professional.

Excellent Food

By tvlgal1809 |

This restaurant is at the ground floor of the office building on Oaklawn, not so easy to spot from the street. My friend told us about this place otherwise we wouldn't know. The food s great. I love Moo Yang (grilled pork) with sticky rice. It came with minty sauce. This sauce by itself can make anything taste delicious. The pork on its own is so tasty. We also like Pad See Eew ( stir fried flat noodles with soy sauce) , so delicious. Si Lom Fried Rice is also very good as well. The staffs are so friendly. The atmosphere is also nice, with good music not so loud. The decor is just right, not too over the top. The other good thing is parking. You can park at the parking garage underneath the building and there is an entrance to the restaurant directly from the garage.

Very good Thai food

By Conrad M |

We live near by and drop by a few times a year. The happy hour (til 7) is a great deal on drinks and appetizers. We love the Thai jerky (hot) and crab and cream cheese appetizers. The Missaman curry is quite good.

Come for the Thai, stay for the awesome cocktails

By Motorcycle_Tourist_5 |

Great food, but the cocktails are amazing. Tough to find really great cocktails at an Asian place, but Si Lom delivers. The Cucumber Martini is not to be missed.

My Favorite Thai

By Travelon |

I have been dining here every since they opened. I like both the restaurant and calling in for delivery. The delivery guy is so nice and kind. The food is diverse and fantastic and they serve brown rice! All of the staff there very efficient and friendly. One of my top choices in Dallas.

It's OK

By TravelWell040 |

We decided to try Si Lom having trying to find good Thai cuisine in the U.S. besides New York City or traveling to Asia. Without going into much detail the food is ok, but nothing to entice one to return to the restaurant. The staff is friendly; wine list limited. The Pad Thai has an orange color which mystified us to no end. The fresh salad roll is good and is served with real peanut sauce. Otherwise, nothing to write home about.

Delicious

By JacksonGuy |

Had dinner here in May. It was absolutely delicious. The Tom Kha Soup is amazing! My waiter suggested some basil spring rolls (incredible) and one of the chef's specials- grilled marinated pork- absolutely heavenly! HUGE thumbs up !!

Great food and awesome service..

By dmiller63125 |

We decided to find a Thai good place in Dallas and I liked what I read in the menu online. Never would I have imagined the place to be so mello and peaceful on the inside. The wait staff was so helpful and attentive and made the visit there that much more enjoyable! The food was amazing and so was the avocado & crab spring rolls (the sauce to dip them in was out of this world!) I had the chicken pad Thai and my boyfriend had beef and yellow noodles (it was a curry dish)and both of them were amazing! This place is worth the trip and the prices were reasonable! Give this place a try and I promise you will not be disappointed.

Best Thai food in Dallas

By Jeremy B |

I've been on a search for the best and most authentic Thai food in Dallas....and I finally found it!! This restaurant will rock your world!! First, they always have a ice cold Chang or Sing Ha beer waiting for me. I love Chang beer! Second, the menu has all my favorite dishes. Tom Ka soup, green curry, pad se ew, Thai fried rice with seafood. I could go on, and on. Don't forge the mango sticky rice for desert!! I cannot recommend the place more...just go here and you will be in Thai happiness!

Look no further for the bets Thai food in Dallas!!

By jfrantz34 |

A bit difficult to find as the restaurant is below street level on Oaklawn. But so much free parking available in underground garage. I found it over a year ago and it has become my "go to place" for Thai food. Have taken many friends and family members there. Incredible atmosphere and decor! Impeccable attention to service and presentation. Amazing prices for some of the best Thai food I have ever had. Tasty traditional appetizers presented with a modern Asian flare. I have tried at least 10-12 different main entrees and each one has been amazing and out of this world. Si Lom has the best duck dish I have ever had!! The deserts are simple yet very tasty and the perfect size. Amazing cocktails too! Everything Si Lom serves is incredible, tasty, and beautifully presented. This is the kind of dining experience all restaurants should strive to achieve. Perfect place for a date, solo meal, small business dinner, family celebration, birthdays/anniversaries, or a romantic couple's meal. Plus you can order online for pick-up or delivery (see website for delivery details).

Very good Thai food

Had lunch here for the first time. The service and food were both very good . The food was fresh and hot and delicious ! Definitely come back again.

One of my Top Three Thai Places in Dallas

By KPfeff |

I love Si Lom. It's a great place in a great neighborhood, although as others have said it can be tricky to find if you've never been before. The staff are friendly and the food is consistently of good quality. I order take-out from here regularly, but I've dined in the restaurant about four or five times, and the service is good. It's hard to beat their take-out pad thai, as you'll have enough food to last you a few days with a good flavor (and not too sweet like so many other Thai places). The basil rice has also consistently been good. Good food at good prices with good service. It's a winner all around.

good choices and prices

By Demonet |

Really great lunch location. Love the pad Thai! I order it very hot and enjoy it very much. Location is down the stairs, and never gets too crowded.

Great value. Delicious thai food to your spicy taste level

By Katie H |

Cute restaurant hidden beneath the stairs. Delicious food. Great staff ... wide range of curry's that I haven't tried before. Highly recommend it.

Tye Tuesday

By Kimberly L |

We love this place we go every week as a large group to have our Tye food fix. They have an awesome happy hour. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

I could eat here everyday

By Regina_phalange |

Amazing cuisine!! Everything down to spices. The red curry is all my time fav, it’s hard to find a place that doesn’t water down their curry. The staff is also very friendly and very accommodating to requests( I’m a picky eater). love you si lom!!

may be better than i thought, need to try again

By slh2012 |

had dinner at this place 4 years ago. i really need to revisit and see how it is. location is great. price is decent as i recall.

The best in town for sure

By chrisconsul |

As it was rather packed on Friday nite we got 2 seats at the bar and were spoiled by the female bartender,,,,she was very competent and her drinks are well done, go for the Lychee martini or the Mai Thai....the food is awesome and well presentation, we tried some starters and than beef Satay and the green chicken curry, which was really yummie....very quick service, perfect food, friendly and well trained staff...we came back rather quick for Mother's Day lunch and were again really happy about our order....

This place is awesome!

By Bj1975 |

Love this place! Additionally, they're on @Eat24 and ordering take-out has never been easier or so much fun! Everything I've had here has been excellent. Pad Thai, check. Pad See Eew, check. Crying pork, check. Corn patties, larb gai, Shu Mai, check. Btw, the Shu Mai is to die for and the serving sizes of the noodle dishes will feed you for 2-3 nights! Love this place.

Neighborhood gem

By Bj1975 |

The Shu Mai are the best in Dallas! Their portions are big enough to share or make 2-3 meals out of. Service is always excellent here. Great place!

I love this place so much they know my name and I live an hour away

By Neil M |

Pad See Ew; Awesome. Shrimp in rice paper; fried to perfection. Green curry; amazing flavor. Tom Kha; Very good coconut soup. Fried Corn patties; extremely good snack. Fish patties; very good but not as good as corn. Steamed wontons or dumplings were certainly good although I prefer more pronounced flavors in my food whereas this was subtle in this dish. Cucumber Martini is easily worthy of a master mixologist. Fried rice is very well seasoned but I must say that I have had better fried rice at a hibachi place since they used sushi rice instead of regular rice which is what they used here thus I will not get that again because the mouth feel is not superior. Stop wondering if you should go here and just go.. you will not regret it!

Dinner with brother

By Cheryl |

What a wonderful restaurant that my brother took me to on my visit to Dallas. I chose a dish suggested by the waitress and was not disappointed. The food was well prepared and very flavorful. The place was very clean and all COVID restrictions applied. I felt safe. Would visit again when in Dallas.

Def coming back !!

By Regina_phalange |

The food is amazing! The flavors and portions are above most Thai places here in Dallas And I’ve been to plenty of Thai restaurants. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive to orders. The manager even came out to our table to discuss our dish that we ordered because they had a small hiccup with finding the appropriate noodles, but they ended up finding it and putting it together for us! And oh my yum!! Anyway, so glad I found a new Thai restaurant!!

Friendly service and really good food

By 394willh |

Our group of 3 went here after the ballet. We ordered the shumai pot stickers for an appetizer, and my companion said they were the best example of this personal favorite she had ever eaten. They were amazing. Her Big Bowl Wonton Noodle soup was also excellent and was crammed with delicate wontons. My Basil Seafood had several of the largest mussels I've ever been served; they were tender and delicious. Also some tender scallop, shrimp, etc. Even the iced tea was unusually good. I'll go back - especially to show it off to friends!
