Had a shack burger and sweet potato fries! Deep fried cheese was fantastic!!! Service was very good and friendly and food arrived very quick! Clean and would come again.

This place is a short walk form out hotel, Courtyard by Marriott which is super close to the airport. We were seated right away and the service was very good throughout our meal. I had the Crab Asparagus Bisque. Tasty and lots of flavor. My main course was their Prime rib with steamed broccoli. The Prime Rib was juicy and full of flavor. Nice way to end the day after fishing on the Willamette River for sturgeon.

Our group of 5 went here for lunch. We chose it based on location. The food was good, but it took more than an hour plus to get in and out.

My wife and I were staying at a nearby hotel and were looking for a place to eat and watch sports. Based on proximity to our hotel and online reviews, we decided to head to Sidelines. When we walked in (about 7:30-8:00 PM), almost every table was occupied however most tables had 1-2 people. We were fortunate to get a table, We were disappointed that all but two of the TV's were focused on Monday Night Football. Given the time of the year, I was hoping that they would also have at least one baseball game on as well. In their defense, I did not ask to see if they could put baseball on one of the TV's. It seemed that they were short staffed as I only saw three waitresses providing table service. Their beer selection was decent but heavily tilted toward IPA's so my wife was happy. She ordered a half order of nachos (thanks to the waitress who suggested that a half order would likely be sufficient). I ordered a chicken caesar wrap with sweet potato fries and their pilsener. My wife and I enjoyed the beers we received and my wife was satisfied with the quantity of the half order of nachos but commented that they came out lukewarm so they had likely been sitting for a while. My chicken caesar wrap was standard and I enjoyed the sweet potato fries. Overall the food was pretty average as was the service although it was likely affected by the number of staff working that night. If we are in the area again, we would likely try another place.

Food is reasonable. Sidelines is by the airport hotels and is a sports bar so good sports bar food and drinks. Service was OK. It was fast and reasonable food and we watched Sunday night football.

If you are staying around the Portland Airport , this restaurant is within walking distance and a great place to relax. Good drinks and food, reasonable price and good service. It is under new management and has been upgraded, very clean and attractive

Fish tacos were delicious and inexpensive. Also discovered Fri night from 4-7 happy hour they have free food too. They had fried chicken and meatballs.

Walking distance from Holiday Inn Express - also a chinese place close. Had a philly which I had read was good which it was. Not much atmosphere but a lot of TVs on sports. During the week appears to be a place where a lot of guys on business eat and hang out watching sports.

This is a nice little bar & grill located near many hotels on NE Airport Way. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn just across the street. Our hotel restaurant was closed on Sunday night so we walked over for a bit. I has fried fish tacos and my wife had grilled fish tacos, both were very good. This is a bar and grill with large screen TV's so don't expect anything fancy. Just good food and local beer.

We eat here whenever we are traveling in and out of PDX and staying nearby. Good service. Friendly people. Great happy hour prices and bar menu.

It’s bar food but actually pretty great. Wings are awesome, ranch is homemade and the Mac and cheese is misleadingly good as it’s actually served with penne. Just moved here and already love this place. French dip is great too.

We stumbled upon this place while shopping. We liked what we saw, and we liked our meal even better. Nice atmosphere, good and friendly service, and reasonable prices. We'll certainly eat there again, when we're back in Portland.

Perfect location right by all of the Marriott hotels. I have eaten there several times. Cobb salad is great with a tasty thousand island dressing. Burgers are really thick and cooked to perfection

Great sports bar! Lots of selection to choose from, and the place was hopping--service was still good. I can't remember what we had but I am very glad we split it--some sort of huge sandwich with different meats--Sasquatch?

We had great burgers and fries here. Their special sauce complements them well. We had ordered chile to create our own chile burgers but it was truly awful. Without our asking, our server removed it from our bill when we told her how bad we thought it was. All in all we had a good meal and would readily return.

The food is okay for a bar. I was a bit surprised by some of the menu choices which different from the usual burger or wings. The steak sandwich was tough on my first trip, but I was willing to give them another shot. The $5.00 lunch specials are worth the trip.

We have eaten two meals at this local sports bar while staying at a nearby hotel. The service was friendly and prompt and the food was hot and tasty. The place was friendly and welcoming.

We were staying at the Comfort Suites next door and decided to walk over to Sidelines for some snacks. Happy it was there and plan to return next time we are in the area.

Even though busy when I stopped, the staff was attentive. Had a Tri-tip taco, which was excellent & a basket of fries - the way fries are supposed to be made. It's a sports bar & several games were going. Lively spot with great food.

We weren't really hungry, so ate off of the happy hour menu. Enjoyed a plate of beef sliders as well as pulled pork sliders with a side of tater tots. Everything made from scratch. They have "real" food here as well. Both Salmon and Steak Entrees on the menu. Lots of TVs. Even some government sanctioned gaming. Board games by all the tables encourage you to stay and have another beverage. We had the house red and white wines, Hogue Vineyards of Washington State. A very generous pour of a very decent house wine. Servers were friendly and laid back. Really enjoyed this place.

Great stiff drinks! AMAZING food! The service is very attentive and kind. We will be coming back in on our next trip to portland. Not just a bar it's perfect for the family to stop in and eat. Fast service too! Beyond your typical bar food!

I’m only giving a 3 star, sorry! The food was a little expensive and the prices you see on the menu on TripAdvisor are not the real prices in the restaurant! Also, the lady who took my order in person, accidentally thought I ordered two of the exact kid meals for $7 a piece! I didn’t catch the error until I got back to my hotel room with 3 meals instead of two! Suppose that’s my fault for signing the receipt and not double checking! It was average bar food!

This place was recommended by our hotel. We waited five minutes to be seated, only to be told to seat ourselves. Sat down at the only table available, which had not been bussed. Waitress said "be right with you" but twenty minutes later we didn't even have menus. We left and had a good dinner in a much more pleasant atmosphere at the Chinese restaurant next door.

Tried this for the first time a few days ago, February 17, 2014 and liked it a lot. Its location is great if you're staying in one of the airport hotels just east of I-205 on Airport Way. The place is more restaurant than sports bar. Two groups of four TVs define two eating areas. In each area the seating is comfortable and spacious. With TV noise at a minimum (yes!) it's easy to carry on a conversation and minimally impact guests at nearby tables. There seemed to be a number of "regulars" on the premises. We suspect that Sidelines has not only an airport motel but neighborhood clientele. Good for them, we say, because that makes Sidelines even more appealing for airport travelers. My wife had a small salad. I had the two piece order of fish and chips. Both dishes were fresh and tasty. The menu seems deliberately modest to ensure quick service and quality control. The restaurant addresses Northwest appetites for good beer with a selection of eight taps, all from Oregon. The price for each tap was very reasonable. Good service too -- our waitress was Kim D. Highly recommended.

My family was staying in the hotel next door & ordered take out. The food was really good! The waitress packed plenty of silverware, condiments & napkins for us. Much appreciated! Sadly we fly back home tomorrow, otherwise I’d go back again tomorrow for their nachos. Soooo good! Thank you.

Great experience from the time we walked in. Quick service. We ordered the Cuban sandwich and the The Club. Housemade fries were an added delicious treat. Very good. Delicious and clean place. We will return!

We just stopped in for drinks at this sports bar, and enjoyed Avid Cider's Guava. The service was great, and people around us all seemed to be enjoying the food offerings available. I would go back if I was in the area again.

Nichole is a doll and was super attentive and patiently explained side options. Food was surprisingly tasty, better than your average bar fare for sure.

Was in town on business and looking for a place to have a beer, get some food and watch the National Championship game. I hit the jackpot at Sidlines. It's not the biggest place and it's tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. But once inside it's a gem. They serve local craft brews which, if you've ever been to portland, is awesome. Then there's the menu. Not very big, only a couple of pages, but the food is great. I had the Prime Rib and it was delicious. They smoke all their own meats in a smoker that's outside the bar. The service was also awesome. As it was National Championship night, and a local Crimson Tide hangout, the place was packed. But even with a larger than normal crowd for a Monday the service never missed a beat. So if your ever in Portland and stay close by the airport , I highly recommend Sidlines. Great food, good brews and awesome service.

Walking distance from hotel. Good prime rib. Bar staff is friendly and efficient. Going back again soon. Decent selection of craft beer

It's a sports bar tucked away in a small strip mall but we'll worth finding. Walkable from many of the airport hotels. Salads were excellent as were the wings. Large beer selection. Fast service as well

Hotel recommend sidelines while we waited for our rooms to be ready. Right down the street from our hotel. Lunch portions were big. Pulled pork sandwich excellent. Turkey club portion, two people could share it. Sidelines can be noisy inside with the crowd, as it is definitely a sports bar. Dine on the patio, no noise and the service was good. Tables have umbrellas to block out the sun plus the table and seating were comfortable.

It was crowded. The beer was fine. The game was exciting. Wish I could say the same for the burger and fries. Service was okay. Meh...

Lovely locals’ bar and grill. We had a large youth group that was staying at a nearby hotel, and we stopped in as soon as we got off the plane. They were VERY accommodating, and the service was excellent ( our server’s name was Loren), even though you could tell that they weren’t staffed for a group that big. The menu goes way beyond your standard bar fare, and I got to see what several people ordered. It all tasted great (of what I got to sample). I would definitely eat there again.

Yes it is such a surprise to find home made crab soup, meatloaf, prime rib. Au jus and all good. Everything is made on premises and was huge portions. Had to take some home. Friendly staff, nice customers and like I said, good home made food. You can enjoy yourself here while waiting for your plane.

Sidelines has a PrimeRib special that is always good and tender. It comes with broccoli and salad. The service is also very good here. As soon as I finished my salad my Prime Rib was there. It's close to my hotel and the food is always good. I recommend Sidelines for a good meal.

Try to eat here each time I go to Portland. Smaller sports bar with a great variety of local beers, and an excellent menu. After I sat down and ordered a beer, had two other wait staff ask if I was able to get a drink order in. This excellent service continues the entire time I am here, and instead of the employees worrying about their tables, they are making sure all the customers are taken care of. The Philly Cheese Steak is one of the best I've had!!

Good choices, nice atmosphere, helpful wait staff. I had a BLT sandwich with fries and my husband had the Cuban sandwich with fries. Both were very good.

Title says it all. I ate here while in town on business. I had the Sasquatch Burger. A decent sized burger, but the patty was a bit over done. They have a good selection of local beers. Service was fast and friendly. All in all, not terrible. But not great either.

I needed a late night meal and didn’t want to go too far away from my hotel. I read a couple reviews and picked this place. The menu was typical greasy bar food. I had the nachos. I concur with the one reviewer who said, “it’s hard to mess up nachos” but these were “horrible”. The chips were stale, not much topping. A few scattered refried beans. Chopped onion and tomato. I paid an up charge to replace the beef with chicken; there was one cut up breast. The “salsa” served on the side consisted of canned tomatoes. This meal wasn’t cheap. With a drink and tip I paid $32. I could have had a decent meal at the hotel for that price.

We were staying at a hotel near here and this place was recommended by the front desk. We were told to order the crab and asparagus soup which is not on the menu and we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. We ordered a sandwich with fries to split and it was plenty for us. The place is clean with lots of tv's to watch sports and the waitress was very pleasant and helpful.

We were traveling and stopped overnight near here. This was within walking distance to our hotel and it was great. We ate outside which was delightful. There were plenty of places inside as well . The food was good, the service very good and the beer selections wonderful!

We had a busy day returning from the Coast and having settled into our hotel we were hungry! The hotel did not have a restaurant and we had returned our rental car. Thus, we needed a restaurant that we could easily walk to. Sidelines was recommended. We shared an appetizer and a quesadilla grande with added chicken. Very good food-hot and large portions. Very good server. It definitely met our needs. We did not order drinks but it appeared they had a nice bar .

A pleasant surprise right near Fairfield Inn and Hilton Garden Inn. I went in around 8 as I had just arrived in town for early morning flight. I had the smoked cuban, nice size sandwich. Had aide salad which was good mix of spinach. Nice beer menu. Nice staff and quick service.

If you can spare just a few minutes to get away from the fast food chains go to Sidelines. The crab biske is real tasty. Prices aren't bad either.

Food: A. Service: C Ate here twice during our recent stay in Portland. The first time was lunch, we started with nachos with chicken, half order, then I had the fish and chips and the hubs had cheesesteak. The nachos were unimpressive, chicken was cubed, not shredded or pulled, and it needed more toppings, especially cheese, overall sort of dry and tasteless. Fish and chips were very good and hubs loved the cheesesteak (and we're from Philly area, so that's saying something). So we did take out for dinner a few days later. All food was great: sweet chili wings, Sasquachburgers and crab asparagus bisque, except that we ate in stages because the soup was not in our takeout bag, we had to go back again for it. And I didn't get the onion rings I ordered, I was given fries instead. Food very good for the most part, service... meh.

Great location, but surprisingly good food. Sports bar with a great friendly staff. We went here two nights in a row. Beware they close at 11:00 PM

We enjoy a few sandwiches and a drink at this bar near PDX. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The sandwiches did the job and they have a nice list of beers on tap. Convenient and fast, I enjoyed the grilled cheese sandwich that I ate here.

Sidelines is close to Holiday Inn Express and Hilton Garden Inn, near PDX airport. We walked in late on a Monday and although service is very friendly and efficient, the overall state of the restaurant is not that great. For starters, it is not a clean place, from the floor, to the washrooms. The bar type menu of Mexican and American dishes has a nice selection. I guess it's a good place to watch a game with a few friends and a few beers. Just don't drop anything on the floor...

The pesto chicken pasta was very good! Nice casual atmosphere with video poker machines. They pour a good drink too!

The food was not tasty at all. Had the chicken fried steak and although I was hungry, it wasn't worth eating all of it. I've been thre before and the food was much better. Did the cook change? Also, waited vey long for food to arrive.

Stopped here for a cold beverage and ended up having incredible fish tacos. Some of the best I have ever had. Bar staff friendly, good ambienve and great food... Can't go wrong

Have visited in the past. Good selection of micro brews and ample TV's for viewing sports. Walking distance to hotel and have a food menu with many selections including a happy hour menu.

Good service, friendly, late night food, lots of big screens No dislikes, but there were no women customers in there!

My wife and I were staying nearby at a hotel for a wedding. We walked here and were very pleased. The bar tender was pleasant and helpful. The drinks were great. We shared our meal it was wonderful. We would encourage other people staying near by to patronize

Was referred to Sidelines by the staff of motel where we stayed. Good food at a reasonable price. Had a 12 oz prime rib order for medium rare and it came out perfectly as ordered, and even larger than expected. Prime rib came w/2 choices of sides. Spouse had the chicken penne pasta that she rated as very good. Also got a 10% discount by showing motel room card that referred us there.

I came in here this evening a bit down and my waitress cheered me right up. I asked if I can seat myself and she said well do you need some help. lol I meant pick my seat she said nah you have to sit in the corner and behalf. Well on top of the humor I was ravenous and ordered nachos and the salmon. OMG the salmon was perfect tasty and well filled my gut. I as expecting to pay over $50 dollars for my dinner. To my surprise I got the check and it was 25.... I left smiling this place rocks and told them I'll be back tomorrow. She said your nachos will be waiting..$5 nachos piled high you kidding me. Good job folks.... My new favorite.... Jayce😘

Appetizers, great salads, and full meals, this is a great little restaurant & pub near PDX. Not expensive. We had a great server. Well worth another visit

Just your average sports bar. Nothing special. Friendly staff and good service. Within walking distance of our hotel. So easy to get to. The food was just average. Nothing too fancy!

This sports bar is nothing special but it does have a lot of TV's. It was great for a college football Saturday as there were many TVs to see all of the action. I ordered tater tots and a house salad which were pretty standard. The prices on food were a little high in my opinion, but overall it wasn't bad. It was next to my hotel so the location was great but its not someplace that I would drive to.

At first I wasn't sure about this place. Because it only looked like a bar. BUT then I ordered the chicken soup and taco salad. They were both amazing. I was really impressed at how fresh it was. The lady at the bar with the sunflower Tatoo was extremely nice and friendly. Also, the prices were very reasonable. For a cup of chicken soup and huge taco salad and two Sodas it was $15.50. And they have the video lottery machines. I don't know much about these. Great place. I would highly recommend. Let me know if this review helps. Thanks

We could walk here from our hotel which was a big plus. TV screens all over to watch the game. We had pasta and meatloaf entrees. Both dishes had so much food we were unable to finish. We both tried new beers recommended by the waitress. They both were very good and I'd love to be able to find them in the store. Very friendly staff. Meals were very reasonably priced. Great place.

The folks here were very friendly and the menu was extensive. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing place to dine after a long day.

I had a lunch and 2 dinners here over a few day stay and I'd give the food a strong B+. Nice wait staff and very good spot to watch games. I'd say fair prices too.

This place is located in Windy's Corner just off Airport Way on NE Win Sivers Dr. I had wondered what is in this area across from McDonald's and Burger King and I had some time to kill so I strolled over for a look. I ordered a Bud and walked around to the video poker area to play a few games. When I finished I sat at one of the tables and looked over their menu and the place in general. It is a sports bar type place with many TV screens around the room. The bar has some interesting glasses to look at. The servers are friendly and the place has a nice relaxed pleasant vibe to it. And they have a patio in back of the building that looks nice. I had stopped in after Happy Hour so I deccided not to eat here for now. Perhaps later when I am in the area a little early and can be here during happy hour. All in all the place left me with a good impression. Worth coming back for sure.

Although one would hardly confuse Sidelines with a place to get good seafood, it is summer after all, and the wild Pacific fish are in season and very tasty. I had a very reasonably priced King salmon, pan fried which was perfectly prepared. This main entree came with two side dishes, an exceptional steamed mixed veggies (lots of broccoli this particular night) and a very nice balsamic Italian dressed salad. TVs in multiple locations so that I could enjoy a choice of multiple sports events on large HDTV screens. Bar service was very good, although the "house" wine wasn't exactly high end. But what do you want for $8 after all? The menu is extensive and you can enjoy lots of different choices like any sports related restaurant. Since Sidelines is so close to the Portland Airport, it does a healthy business. Well run and highly valued. For price paid, it was really good!

Stopped in for a quick dinner before heading over to the hotel and we wish we had picked a different restaurant. The place was busy and the server did a great job taking care of us. So Sidelines get an additional star for service. The food? Average bar food. Not my thing. Everything we tried seemed processed to death and the biggest loser was the soggy french fries. How do you even do that? Looks like a fun place to hoist a few but if you're looking for any kind of quality food, keep looking..........

Grabbed dinner after checking into a nearby hotel. The service was ok...The food was ok...typical pub food...I ate here, because I didn't want fast food and it was within walking distant from the hotel.

We stopped in for a light night bite since it was around the corner from our hotel. Cant complain, we only had some drinks and potato skins and they were yummy. Service was nice I would recommend if in the area.

It was close to our hotel so we walked over for dinner. It was the typical sports bar food, but did have plenty of local beers on tap. Service staff was nice and attentive. Prices were not too bad. If they really want to be a sports bar, they should setup the tables better or get more TV's.

The bisque/salad combo is terrific. A full bowl and good sized salad. Fresh, varied. Not much of a crowd on a Sunday night, but I came here for dinner, not a crowd. A good place.

A short walk from The Airport Comfort Suites is a nice little restaurant and sports bar. The food was good, the prices were very reasonable, and the service was excellent. Couldn't ask for anything more.

We were staying at the Holiday Inn Express and found this place when we were picking up some snacks at the Plaid Pantry. Excellent burger, GREAT parmesan garlic fries, and some of the best homemade mac and cheese. We would go back again.

Little unassuming place, walked there from hotel. Probably best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. Waitress said they smoke it in-house.

A nice little hometown bar for the locals to come and get pissed off at the teams for losing . Right by PDX and it’s not as expensive as the airport bars and others around the area. Or early to leave this is a good place to come.

We walked to his place while looking for dinner. It’s location made us a little wary, but ince inside it was comfortable with great food and service

A very homey sports bar atmosphere with a section for families. Kids menu and very reasonable comfort food. Great micro beers and a good wine list. Comfort Suites guests are given a 10% discount.

We went to Sidelines about 10pm, they close at 11pm. The server was very nice and helpful in recommending food that would still be fresh at that time and be able to cook quickly. The burgers and salads we had were very good.

Love this place! I stay at the comfort suites next door in large part to this restaurant. Staff is always friendly and plenty of TVs at every different angle so no matter where you're sitting you got a great view. The food is pretty good for a sports bar, I've had dinners, snacks, and lunches here and haven't been let down yet. The one problem I'd say is they get real full up pretty often, which can't be a bad thing. I've had to wait up to 20-30 minutes but was worth it to me, there's a reason they are so popular! Great beer selection too!

Very nice restaurant with many excellent entrée choices. Also offers a 10% discount if you are staying at the Comfort Suites, which is within walking distance.

This is a sports bar that doesn't look very welcoming on the outside, but it was fine inside and the staff was very nice. My husband had a prime rib sandwich and I had the fish & chips. Both were surprisingly good for what is essentially a sports bar.

The Sideline Restaurant & Sports Bar is a great place to stop to watch the games, really fun and knowledgeable staff, plenty of craft beer selections, and a really varied menu. Can't go wrong with their burger selections and handcut fries!

Good food, nice beer selection, outside patio with planes landing overhead !!! What more could you want. Staff was friendly, food was good. Would recomend.

Good sports bar and restaurant by the Portland airport. Lots of big screen TVs. Greeted promply by my server. Good selection of local beers and old favorites. Prime rib special 10 oz, baked potato loaded and dinner salad was plenty. Prime rib was out of the smoker had had great flavor. Recommend for sure. Good variety on the menu.

My wife and I were traveling with a early morning departure and did a park and drive near the Portland Airport. This is a bar with bar food. It was very crowded when we arrived on a Tuesday night. We ordered drinks and food and it all came quickly and tasted great. We were too late for their Prime Rib but the meat we had was excellent and the service decent for a busy place.

Asked my hotel front desk associate where the best place to find some grub in a 5 mile radius and he recommended this place.... While it wasn't disgusting and it was getting late so I was heading here, I would have taken the time to venture out somewhere else. I went for their Philly and while the meat was seasoned pretty decently, it was definitely lacking said main ingredient. Imagine a 3 inch thick hoagie roll, cut in half with about 1/2 of that or less being the meat and that's it! PUT SOME MEAT IN THAT THING! Place was decently packed, so I'm sure it's a half way decent place for the locals, but this foodie needs more! Staying in a hotel near this place? Consider some additional options... #knowbeforeyougo

We walked over from our hotel because this was one of the only restaurants open late on Sunday's in the area. The restaurant is very spacious with lots of TVs and outside seating. The food is delicious!!! The prices are great and the service is good. I had the fish and chips and they were the best I've ever had, hands down.

They serve the best Pineapple Margarita I've EVER had. They make their own fruit infused liquor, pineapple infused tequila is one of their best!!! Love this small bar, wait-staff is friendly and attentive!

Service and quality and food. You get a 10% discount as a guest of the comfort suites. Try the prime rib.

The visits here have always been pleasant and friendly. The servers are helpful and attentive. They make sure you are well taken care of and the food is good as well. Bathrooms are not always the cleanest. But they take care of the issue when told.

We were only there for a drink but happy hour prices we're good, wine choices ok and the place was jumping. Food we saw served looked excellent. Would like to try it again. Close to airport and lots of hotels.

Had dinner here recently. Food was fine. I had the tuna melt. Service was slow And not very attentive.

We always like walking from our hotel to dinner. Being close to the airport, we didn’t think there would be a restaurant so close. But there was. Sidelines Bar and Grill is just around the corner. It’s definitely a sports bar with numerous TVs all around. All on the Kansas City-Atlanta football game. We were served by a most pleasant server, Loren. We began with their asparagus crab bisque. Really tasty. Rich. We shared their Alaskan Salmon which was sautéed with red onions in a white wine butter sauce. It began with a nice salad and came with a baked potato. Not the Oregon seafood that we had been having. But really good.

This place delivers! Great food, good prices, happy hour menu, wonderful servers that are accurate and friendly, plenty of televisions, comfortable seating and plenty of parking. Skip Hooters and watch the game here.

Friendly staff, basic pub fare. It seemed better than the choices around there (fast food joints). They have a lot of TVs, and strangely enough they were showing NESN so it felt like we never left Boston. I’m not sure I’d go out of my way to eat here again but it definitely is one of the better places to eat if you are in the area!

Within walking distance of several PDX airport hotels, this place is frequented by travelers overnighting near the airport. It also seems to have a loyal group of regulars. The menu is pretty typical 'pub grub' augmented with specials such as smoked prime rib. The beer wine and cocktail menu is what you would expect. Service is adequate and food is delivered promptly. A good place for travelers.

The menu seems extensive for pub and grub place, but the sandwiches are good. They serve homemade fries that are very good. The portions are big and the prices are very reasonable. I ordered the Club sandwich and it was very big with lots of turkey, ham and bacon. The fries were hand cut and made to order so they were very hot and fresh. The only draw back was the service. There was only one waitress running both the bar and the dining floor, so we had to wait a long time to order. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. Not sure why management/owners would have one waitress on a Saturday night, but she did her best to keep up. Recommend it for the food and friendly atmosphere.

We were about to spend the night at the Fairfield inn and saw this small bar and grill within walking distance. We were not disappointed. There were four of us and we each orderred something different and we were all pleased. We stayed quite a while and had a few beers while our waitress Jessie made us feel special.

Right next to our hotel, Sidelines had great food and was a fun spot to eat. The hummus plate is excellent as was the southwest salad.

This sports bar had great food. The portions were large! I could not finish my meal and normally I can finish most anything I order. The wine portions were also quite nice. I had just finished being in Las Vegas where I could not get a decent poor. They had a very generous poor in this place. Their beer selection was good for my husband. I had their smoked prime rib with a baked potato and salad. FANTASTIC.! I would definitely come here again. It was Friday night and they had a regulars crowd but it was not overly loud and we were able to get great service. I also liked being able to park right up by the door.

We did an appetizer dinner with wine. Good food at reasonable prices. Many appetizers are discounted during Happy Hour, which was a plus. Ask about the size because we expected the serving size to be smaller. Thus,we ordered too much food. Service was attentive. We didn't find it to have a bar atmosphere around 6:00 pm, so it would be great for families with children. Another benefit was that it is within walking distance of our airport hotel (Springhill Suites). We would eat here again.

Selection of food and beverages. Service was attentive and friendly. We had Salmon that was good along with a large variety of 2 side choices.

The food and service were both excellent. The local beer selection was very good. The Cheese steak sandwich was both huge and excellent.

Stopped in while we were staying near the airport. Pretty standard menu. We enjoyed the food. The waitress was great! Always checking on us, answered our tourist questions, and just good conversation. We would go back just because of her. Good place to stop in before or after a flight.

Had dinner here since it was a short walk from our hotel near PDX. It's a sports bar with the standard TV's all around, but was quieter than many sports bars, which was nice. The fish tacos and nachos were good. The house wine was also decent with a healthy pour for the price.

Ordered a Club Sandwich and split it with a friend. Plenty of food to split. Tator tots are good. Friends ordered wings and said they were good. I'd come back

The location is convenient for anyone staying in any of the Portland Airport hotels. Service is friendly and efficient. The food is well prepared and comes at reasonable prices. They carry a decent selection of beers and a full service bar. If you are into TV watching while eating there are plenty of TV's to watch that important game.

Really tasty french dip. Cold beer. Limited menu. Strip mall decor. Nothing to write home about, but not terrible either.

Great food, scratch cooking, great service. Friendly waitress, told us about menu and the local area. Good drinks too.

We were staying at a nearby hotel before an early morning flight. The reviews on TripAdvisor had me look a the menu on-line and we decided to take the short walk. Hubby was intending to have the prime rib and I was going to have the flat iron steak. Menu on-line was not up-to-date -- prime rib is not available on Saturday and Sunday; flat iron steak is no longer offered. We ordered drinks, hubby ordered the meatloaf and I ordered the braised ribs. Server was a bit confused about the menu but we got what we ordered. Hubby liked his meatloaf which came with mashed potatoes and veggies. I ordered the braised ribs with the mashed potatoes and veggies. When my dinner arrived in a soup bowl, I was bit surprised especially since it didn't look like there were any mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were in the bottom of the bowl topped with 3 large pieces of beef and ringed with veggies. The issue is that the veggies had not been dried before they were added to the dish and the water from them had leaked to the bottom so the potatoes were sitting in a pool of water. Slop! I sent it back -- the fact that it came out of the kitchen like that was disgusting. The server did offer to bring me another dish or another order; I refused because the fact that they allowed that slop to come out of the kitchen gave me no faith in their cook. The server also offered me another drink at no charge but I refused as well. I was looking for a decent dinner not slop or a free drink. I understand when something comes out of the kitchen under/over cooked but when it's put together in a way that is so unappealing there is no excuse. I don't usually give such bad reviews but this was one meal that just wasn't edible the way it was served. Shame on the cook and managment!

We walked to Sidelines from our hotel, and found it to be a bar and grill with a friendly casual atmosphere. TVs had a variety of sports on, and we were pleased to be able to catch the LPGA tournament. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The grilled fish tacos were flavorful, and crunchy (buy more than one!). The soup of the day was crab bisque, which I thought was okay, but my husband loved. He had a chicken wrap, which was large enough for two servings. It was also very good. It was happy hour, and on Fridays they have complimentary food. This included fried chicken, shepherd's pie, and chips and salsa. Prices were reasonable. I would go there again.

I went here as next to my home... the food is not good.. the service terrible.. the nachos which you would think at a bar would be really good.. they were terrible! I don't think I have ever had such bad nachos.. its pretty hard to mess that up but they did.. the burger is iffy... I don't know.. its really bad... Really hate writing bad reviews but they need to know and change things.

I had a hotel nearby and walked to this restaurant. Menu was adequate. I had grilled fish tacos and requested no added salt and sauce on the side. Had a house salad. It was just what I wanted. Service was a little slow, but they were friendly. It “fit the bill” for me for what I was looking for. Nothing real special, but I’ll be back next year for business and would eat there again.

This was recommended to us by the Clarion Hotel (see that review). Varied menu choices for a "sports bar" - more like an open restaurant with several TVs. It seems most of the patrons were there to eat, not watch the sports. Our waitress ("Jessie") was very cheery and attentive, and was happy to chat about area attractions (actually convinced us to change our itinerary to visit Pacific City and the Pelican brewery - see those reviews). Good regional brews on tap. Prices a little steep for the food, but I suppose that's the proximity to the airport and business travelers. I would certainly choose this spot if we're again in Portland.

I have had dinner and lunch here and the food was great. The first night I walked in and they pulled up the Royals vs Blue Jays game on one of the big screens for me. Prime rib was great. For lunch I had a club sandwich which was also very good

We ate here quick last night for dinner. The wings are pretty good, my girlfriend liked the taco salad that came in a tortilla bowl which can be eaten, and I had the pulled pork sandwich. The fries they serve are of the fresh cut potato kind, my favorite. Its a basic sports bar with a lot of TV. there was nothing going on on this night and it wasn't packed at all, but it looks like the place gets packed. Nice autographed Portland Trail blazers pics and jerseys on the wall as well.

We ate here because we had already turned in our rental car and this was within walking distance of our hotel. It was not as noisy and crowded as I would have expected in a sports bar and the service and food were good.

Sidelines is a good little sports bar with decent food. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and I fully enjoyed the sandwich. The side salad was very uninspired, a pile of various types of lettuce topped with a few croutons. For crying out loud! It’s tomato season! You know, those red things that come in a variety of types? And some onions would be nice, also. I want to give a big shout out to my server, Heather Jo, who was practically running and doing a great job of getting drinks and food for a large Portion of the restaurant. About a dozen local beers on tap, variety of food on the menu, and mixed drinks and wines also available.

Always good bar food and service. Prime rib was perfect, not expected in a sports bar. Good prices and a nicely varied menu. When we are in the area we always stop. Not much in the area. Good beer selection too. Fish tacos were fresh.

When we fly into Portland and stay at the hotel next door this is one of the places we stop in for pub food and great draft beer. The service can be slow sometimes as the staff seems to be occupied with the bar customers. I did enjoy the meal better a few years back. This time we just ordered nachos and found them to be expensive for the small amount we received. We got a pitcher of draft beer that was great.

I was staying at a hotel next door and walked over to this nice sports bar. They have a typical sports bar layout, big screen TV everywhere and diffident game on. They have a good number of local craft beers on tap and a typical pub menu except they smoke their own meat. I had a Shack burger and it was great. I was tempted to have the prime rib but i was not that hungry and it cost $10 more. The only negative is what is mentioned in other reviews. The bathroom stinks, it was dirty and smelly and i almost only gave this pub a 3 but the service and food was superior. Too bad they cane clean and fix the bathroom.

Despite all the airport hotels in the area, there are only a few free-standing restaurants After sitting a 90 minute accident jam and a 300 mile drive, I wasn't in the mood for a food search There was a Mac D's adjacent to our hotel. But luck would have it, I spotted the Sideline in a strip mall across the street. This is a sports bar first, our sampling raised the bar. It was good...better than average. My pulled pork sandwich, home smoked, with fries met the mark on all counts. My navigator opted for a grilled cheese with onion rings. The sandwich could have been on the grill a little longer, but it still tasted good and the onion rings were excellent.

We stayed in a hotel nearby, and -although we did have a car- enjoyed that we could simply walk to this hotel. As this is an airport area, this is a very big advantage. When we entered, we were asked about the age of some of my children (teenager), info they used to decide in which area we could be seated. The food is the typical type of food you will be able to order in sport bars, some of us had a burger, others a salad, others chips & salsa, meatloaf... This was all OK, but we did not have wow-feeling either. The prices are fair, service was good to. Conclusion: if you stay in one of the hotels in the area, I would recommend to try this restaurant.

Sidelines is a short walk from the hotel we stayed. The staff is quite helpful, frindly and efficient. You do not wait long for a server to to appoach your table and ask what you would like. There is a variety of beers on tap and some bottled beer. The menu has a large and varied number of choices. I had the pulled port sandwich which was quite filling (don't know what my wife had). Prices ar reasonable. The only negative is that if you substitute fries for something else, say tater tots, there is an additional $2 charge. This is not divulged by the staff when ordering.

Its proximity to nearby hotels make it a popular place. The food is typical sports bar fare. The burger and quesadillas were good. Service was spotty but decent enough.

We ate there a couple of times since it was within walking distance of the hotel. Food and service was good.

This restaurant was suggested to us by our hotel. Was a great dinner! The crab and asparagus bisque was great and the chicken pesto pasta yummmm!! The wait staff was attentive and friendly!

Recently stayed at a hotel nearby so walked over for dinner. Good crowd for a Monday night. Service was fantastic, pleasant, friendly and fast. I had a French dip sandwich and fries which was ok, but I would probably try something else on the menu if I went again.

Don't be distracted by the strip-mall sports bar ambiance- this place serves up some seriously delectable prime rib. You would never imagine that this modest operation is capable of putting out food of this quality. We were advised to try the crab-asparagus soup and have to concur this item is not to be missed. Both of us left blissfully satisfied.

This establishment, conveniently located near surface & air cross-roads, is a great place to get pleasant personal service in an environment you can count on to be clean and friendly! The food is good to occasionally even very good--ask about the meats they smoke themselves!

had fish and chips . was good and wife had a burger which she enjoyed. Sports bar and was fun to watch college game with the locals

This was within walking distance of the Courtyard and certainly worth the walk. Service at the bar was good and the selection of local beer on tap was excellent. We did two flights and a pint, plus dinner. Taco salad and smoked prime rib. Both were good values, satisfying & tasty. It's a local spot, mostly a sports bar. Outside seating for smokers.

The layout and service style were not much like a sport's bar, but too plain to be a good restaurant. Food was OK, but nothing special. Sports feed was unreliable, with freezing and resetting several times during a meal.

Friendly staff and quaint little sports bar with hi-def TV’s. The fresh cut homemade fries are awesome with a terrific draft beer selection. Great experience with good service and excellent food.

Sports bar by hotel... ordered from their speciality drinks, Moscow mules, both of our drinks were different and awful.. shouldn’t highlight on a menu if you don’t know how to mAke them. Waitress was awesome though and allowed us to return them for a safe but boring bud light

Sports bar environment with good home made food. Enjoyed fish tacos, blt, club, and fish and chips. Visited 3 times during our stay and had great service each time. Large selection of beers. Big screens. Clean. Highly recommended for casual dining

The last time we were here we were underwhelmed. We tried the French Dip sandwich with fries and a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich and were very pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Philly with peppers which was a great addition for snick more. The onion rings were 2 dollars more but worth it. The waitress brought the wrong entree the first time so my son ate while I waited but other then that screw up, it was good. Watched the game and had a beer. All good...

A big group of us came here for beer/dinner. They have a nice selection of beer (which I would expect given they are a sports bar) and I tried the Alameda Klickitat Pale Ale (omg - YUM) to start. We ordered some appetizers - nachos, tots and wings. They were all okay - nothing out of this world, but not bad. I ordered the grilled cheese (pretty cool they had this on the menu) and some onion rings. The grilled cheese was fine, again just average but the Onion Rings were fantastic! Especially using their "fry sauce" which they seem to set on the table with the ketchup. The service was solid for a group our size, the place was super busy - so you can see it is definitely popular. It was clean, and was sports bar looking in terms of ambiance. The only negative for me was that every time I tried to go to the restroom someone was in there - and it was one of those large single restrooms.

Went for dinner service was excellent. I sat at a table. This has a bar and table service type of location. There was only one person, serving the bar and tables being bartender and waitress, and yet the service was great. SHE WAS AWESOME. I did not see anyone that even appeared to be ignored or upset. I would recommend and eat there again. She needs a raise, I did my part, hope everyone else did too.

Found this sports bar by accident while looking for food near a hotel recently. Was lucky enough to arrive just in time for a free happy hour buffet. The buffet consisted of quite good fried chicken which I am told is always part of the happy hour buffet and a re-stuffed potato dish that was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive. On the way back through the area a week later returned and had the happy hour again though this time the potatoes were replace by tasty ravioli in red sauce. I also had a quesadilla to go with the happy hour and it was outstanding which is unusual for a New Mexican abroad in Oregon.

On a Monday night, the place was packed, with Green Bay and San Francisco playing football, and Milwaukee and the Dodgers battling it out in the National League playoffs. Wisconsin prevailed in both contests, but the Sidelines patrons were the big winners. Good beer and food. Don't miss the Mac and Cheese.
Awesome and next to my hotel
Great beer on tap awesome food. Fast service super friendly servers. The fry sauce is addicting, love the horse radish in it.
