While it's like being in an Italian villa, the food is worse than average. It's heavy and poorly prepared. (didn't try any grilled meat, so I will leave that to others) but the chicken parm was dried out and over cooked. The "fresh" pasta is a clump with sauce on top of it. The veg sides are flavorless. The cheese on top of your pasta looks like it came out of a bag at the supermarket. No wheel grated at the table. For this money, I expect a real Italian experience. This is anything but. I've been twice this year and it's absolutely consistent. I don't know who thinks this is good food, but they know neither Italian nor good. This is expensive and heavy (winter) Tuscan menu.

We went here on recommendation from a friend. The setting reminds me of a rustic farmhouse in some ways - great stonework! But you are here for a food review right? The menu follows typical Italian courses from anti-pasti all the way through to your second plate and then desert. One thing missing from the menu was a simple caprese, but there are many options to choose from. The restaurant regularly has specials which I recommend to those wanting to try a little of everything. The portions are not overwhelming, but not small by any means. The food does speak for itself and everything we tried was delicately prepared with excellent flavors and texture. The service was a delight and our server very knowledgeable. It is a pretty drive from downtown Austin with some fun curvy roads. It's definitely worth the little bit of a drive and is a suitable location for business, couples or families with older kids.

Visited Austin for our anniversary and both my wife and I love to try "the best" Italian restaurants when we travel....so we gave this one a shot. To start with the decor is very cool, and reminded me of the inside of an Italian estate. We actually arrived ahead of our scheduled reservation but they were able seat us immediately. From a service standpoint, absolutely NO complaints what so ever. As it was our anniversary I ordered an excellent bottle of wine, which I paid 2.5 to 3 times the retail price for. I need to qualify this statement. I'm in executive sales and have ordered my fair share of over priced wines, and expect to pay twice the retail value when I do, but not much more than that. Regardless the wine was excellent. We all started with Salads and were pleased. Following, my daughter and I both had the Filetto di Manzo al Gorgonzola (Filet Mignon) and it was OK, but not what I had hoped for. Some of the finest steaks I have ever eaten have remarkably come from a couple of our favorite Italian restaurants. This was not one of them. The potatoes were also OK, as was the side of pasta that I ordered. The wife ordered the Pollo al Mattone and she said it was good, but not good enough to come back for. So long story short, we either didn't order the right menu items or we need to continue our search for "the best" Italian food in Austin. So I will close with the opening. Great atmosphere, beautiful decor, wonderful service, simply OK food, making this less than a great value....at least for us.

Just wonderful. Started the evening with a gin fizz. For the main course had the Trout with walnut. Really good.

Siena is an attractive, cozy upscale Italian restaurant. Stone walls and dining room fireflace add to the ambiance: the walls of the dining room look like a converted sanctuary. The food here is good and a bit off the beaten path. the service can be slow at times- this isn't a place to go if you're in a rush, anyway. Just relax with your dining companions and enjoy a traditional evening of good food and good conversation.

I have eaten at this Italian Restaurant twice for lunch and both times the food was very good. I have eaten the Fettucini Alfredo and opted for the soup of the day both times I visited. I was very happy with the quality of food for the price during both visits. The restaurant would be great for a night out especially during the winter months because the restaurant has a great bar with a fire place and the restaurant has a romantic feel. I will return.

Siena is a beautiful restaurant as the Tuscan architecture, scale of the rooms and the lighting all work to create a truly inviting setting. Our waiter was somewhat helpful with the wine list and gave us additional information about the entrees. The food was fantastic -- I had gnocchi with chicken confit and spinach, and my husband has bistecca with gorgonzola with arugula. We dined with friends who also were pleased with their food. We were all ultimately disappointed with the service. Our waiter was very scarce after serving us, and we were never welcomed or checked on by a manager, which is unusual for a $200 + meal (four people). Our waiter was visibly irked when we pointed out that we wanted the check split evenly between two credit cards. He'd already run it on all on one of the cards. The restaurant was not busy by this time; we were surprised at his ungracious response. Again, there was no apparently no manager with whom to have a word. I'm already craving that delicious pasta but doubt I'll return for the aloof, inattentive service.

Go-to restaurant when it's a special occasion, or not. Consistent excellence across the board. Great bar, exceptional wine, friendly personal service. Recommend ordering a la carte per course vs. the set meal; larger, better presented entrees with the a la carte.

The service from the greeter to the waitstaff and bus folks was outstanding. The food was the best I've had this side of Milano. The bufalo mozzarella seemed to be fresh from Tuscany. We are now big fans and look for an opportunity to eat here!

Very good fare. A bit expensive but worth it for a celebration or special meal. Our waiter was well prepared to explain any items on the menu and the wine list was execellent

Having been to Siena in Italy, this Austin restaurant of same name was a wonderful ambiance with artwork inside bringing forth memories of this lovely Northern Italian town. The food and service were excellent. Nice for special occasions. If you want a more casual Italian restaurant in Austin, try Mandola's Italian Market.

Great wait staff and atmosphere. My entree (pasta special with lump crab meat) was great, but the salad was uninspired and my husband's entree (ravioli) was bland.

Had dinner there and it was delicious. I had the Walnut Crusted Trout with sautied spinach...yum, yum! and the fish was huge! All salads at our table were good and easy to share for two. Others had pasta dishes which the restaurant is famous for. Delicious! Service was prompt, professional and very accomodating for our late arrivals. Definitely a place to go to in Austin!

We love going to Sienna. Great food in a fabulous Italian villa we'd all like to convert into our home. We've enjoyed private dinners here, and also enjoy the happy hour. We sat inside this time, but the patio did look inviting! We had the fried calamari, fish & shrimp, the crab stuffed portabella, roasted figs stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in prosciutto with balsamic glaze, and the wild boar ragu. We'd just like to say, "Yum!".

Ate our first meal here in 10 years. I don't think the menu varies much from then. However it's quite delicious. The architecture ands room decor only enhanced the romance and experience! Fig dish was suburb! Trout was lovely, too! Only critique was wait staff and hostess who blundered through a missing guests and said a few offensive comments. We didn't let it bother us, but please get some training!

Our server Mary was amazing. She went above and beyond and somehow remembered all out crazy orders. The food and her service was amazing. However, AGAIN, the bartender was a jerk. Just not warm or friendly. Happens every time. It’s why we never go there for Happy Hour. Our glass of champagne was half full. He said he measured it. Ridiculous. Then as we left, at the very end of the night, I asked if I could take a rose for my daughter (it was her 17th birthday), and he said no. The vase (on the bar) probably had 40 roses in it and they were all dying. One rose at the end of a $300 dinner would have a really gone a long way. I swear it would not have been a big deal. So very short-sighted. It’s the little things that make people come back. We will come back again to see Mary and eat the always-delicious food. But we will never go for HH or sit in the bar area. Too bad because that area has great ambiance. It could be packed if they gave it a little attention and hired a great bartender to run it.

We ate here a few weeks ago when we were in town for my boyfriends birthday and it was delicious! It is one of his favorite restaurants (he is actually from Austin) and we wanted to go on a nice birthday date night. A little pricey, but it was worth it. The service was great and we ended up sitting in the little balcony area which created the perfect ambiance.

We’ve been coming to Sienna for 15 years but it’s not what it used to be. The building is still nice and the patio is an attractive space but the food and service are just ok. The calimari were slightly greasy and served with canned tomato, capers and garlic. The pasta was about half of what it used to be, the flavor ok but nothing like delicious al dente linguine in a fresh tomato sauce with tiny clams. The main course fish was well cooked if adequate portions dominated by roasted potatoes and a few slices of cherry tomatoes, half a Spanish olive and a sprig of parsley. The hazelnut mousse was too sweet and served with canned cherries and what tasted like an almond crepe. If it’s requested they still serve bread but it’s yesterday’s and no longer warm. It’s on the sweet side and curiously served only with EVOO, no butter. You have to beg for pepper and forget cheese. I’ve heard that their pizza is good but it is only offered carry out. It’s now closed for lunch and Sundays It used to my favorite but now it’s a disappointment.

The bread, the boar ragu, the wine, the service, the location! Yes, I liked everything! I hope I will have the chance to visit again!

Had a nice celebration lunch with an employee. I had pasta, guest had a salad. Both very good. Excellent service.

I love coming to the bar during happy hour and just enjoying the ambiance. The bar area has a cozy fireplace as well. Food is above average - while it's not "true" Italian (in my New Yorker opinion) it is still way above average for austin. The delightful service and quiet of this restaurant make it ideal for that special occasion, second or third (not first) date, or just a nice quiet glass of wine after work.

Totally recommend for a nice lunch.. The Express Bistecca which is a salad with pieces of steak mixed in was great as well as the Trout Scampi. Service was prompt and food was to us in a short time but prepared very well. For a delicious dessert, go for the Chocolate Budino.

Everyone did not finish their meals. Way too much salt. So food lacked any other compelling flavors. Order water pitchers if you proceed here. Took 30 mins to get bread ... they kept saying "we're making it fresh" (as if it was a surprise that their dinner crowd might be coming at 7:30p - and the place was only about 1/3 full). Plan ahead - other restaurants have figured this "quandary" out. Very expensive wine by the glass. Waiter had annoying knack of interrupting our convo...will NOT go back.

This was my first time to the restaurant but my boss and his wife dine here frequently and selected it for a Christmas Dinner for his executive staff. The service was spot one, we had a small second floor space that was just the right space for our group, we started off with a wild bore appetizer, looking forward to eating that again on my next visit. The crew tried a number of different y entres and I selected the pork chop, it was a large portion and just right. Check them for dinner for two or a group event, you can’t go wrong!

We were very disappointed with our meals last night, and surprised to read so many positive reviews. The appetizer was bad, not really sure how Brie could taste so watered down. They could have presented pasteurized cheese, and it would have been better. The crostini was over toasted and didn’t bring out a flavor from the Brie. The wild boar was moist, but accompanying pasta and lack of sauce made the dish sub-par. The mushroom fettuccine supper bland and dry. What a waste of $$$, better to spend it at a local chain.

I ate there last night for my wedding anniversary. I have eaten there about 10 times. For special occasions, it can't be beat.my wife had a ravioli pasta stuffed with cheese and other good stuff. I had the filet steak with roasted potatoes mixed with blue cheese and onions that had this wonderful sauce mixed in with it. Prior to the entree, we had the figs as an appetizer and we split a salad that was great. We prefer sitting upstairs because it is very quiet and you get a more dedicated waiter service. For desert we has tiramisu, out of this world good. The atmosphere is great with the Tuscan charm of the building. The walls on the building are stone and appear to be about 3 feet thick. The wine selection is huge and is hand picked by the owner, who is widely travelled. Great choice for Italian food.

A friend introduced us to sienna during our recent visit to Austin and we loved the whole experience. We had sea bass, which was absolutely delicious. Great selection of wine and really romantic ambience. Highly recommend it.

Return visit, and this was just as good as the last. Both were lunch visits, but I'm sure dinner is just as good. Food is good, nicely presented, good service, great atmosphere. I had the angel hair and shrimp dish -- tasty, light, a little tangy with the capers, not hot with the peppers, yummy! The white and dark chocolate mousse was melt-in-your-mouth perfect. Yes, would return!

We recently dined at Toscana with friends to recount out recent trip to Italy. We started with the Papardelle with Wild Boar Ragout- very well prepared with fresh made pasta and slow cooked sauce. We followed this with the Seafood stew- similar to a Ciopino in an excellent fresh tomato base with a good selection of seafood. We complimented our meal with a few bottles of Altesino Rosso 2014 and 2016- reasonable values at $60/bottle Service was very good and Siena always delivers good ambiance and a nice night out!

When visiting Austin, we asked our Austin friend to choose a restaurant for dinner with her. She made reservations at Siena, and we had a lovely evening. I thought the restaurant decor was very evocative of a restaurant in Italy. The service was friendly and paced perfectly for friends catching up and enjoying an evening together. The noise level was great for conversation. As for the food, we all enjoyed our meals. I had the chicken special and everything was tasty and fresh, my husband had the pork tenderloin and our friend had the ravioli. Since our entrees were diverse, we appreciated that there are number of wines by the glass to choose from. I recommend this restaurant for meals when conversation is part of the experience and you don't want the experience ruined by rushed service.

Siena....tucked out of the way off of 360...ambiance is wonderful, very romantic old world Tuscan style...the food, very good though pricey....but what you will appreciate is the courses, and they offer size/portion options which to me is fantastic! They're pasta dishes are outstanding and steaks were perfect. Very memorable Birthday and I'll definitely be back! Go midweek to avoid crowds and wait.

Me and my husband just celebrated our 11th anniversary and wanted to try somewhere new. We decided on Siena and made reservations (we called around 7 on a Friday and got reservations for 8:15 the same night no problem) We arrived on time and were seated promptly. The bar area looked to have lots of seating and had a cozy feeling. The main dining area was very nice and was dimly lit with tabletop candles, dim chandelier lighting and the fireplace. (So romantic) We were offered a complimentary glass of prosecco since we were celebrating our anniversary. (It was so delicious) We shared the truffle fries which were absolutely amazing. My husband had the trout and he said it was great (his fish was huge) I had the Salmon (the regular not the special) it came with shrimp, scallops, and a potato side that was to die for!! We did have a 2nd glass of the prosecco and probably would have stayed for a 3rd glass and dessert but our waiter kinda disappeared after the appetizers and 2nd drink order, which was all before the meal came. But honestly we weren't bothered too much and asked for refills on our waters from the staff member that brought our food (wasnt our waiter). Overall we had a nice night and will definitely return. I feel like the prices were reasonable (not cheap but not overpriced) the menu had a good variety and the atmosphere was wonderful. This restaurant is located at 360 and 2222.

I was taken here today for lunch on my birthday. There was no place to park so my husband dropped me off and went to the dirt lot at the other end of the strip mall. Our service started with one waiter taking our drink order. Soon another came for the remainder of the order and the first waiter immediately took her aside in what appeared to be a turf war! She finished the service. He took the table beside ours. We took advantage of the Austin restaurant week menu. The selection is small for these events so I was expecting that the food would be carefully thought out and well prepared. The wild boar appetizer and the sauce on my chicken were very salty. The thick crust on my chicken was dark brown and tasted burnt. I pulled most of it off. We ate here for an anniversary dinner soon after it opened several years ago. It is a local eatery but its a bit outside our budget. I don't think we'll visit again.

Quality ingredients equals quality food. Authentic recipes that consist of some game, grilled meats, hand made pastas and an excellent wine list. Great service. All inside a beautiful stone building

This is not only the best Italian in town (I do love Botticelli's too), but it is the nicest ambience too! Beautiful restaurant, good service - there when you need them, invisible when you don't, great food. Portions are large, so plan to get a to-go box for leftovers. Go now!

We knew about this restaurant through a friend and was so glad to add it to our list of favorites. The building is so beautiful and built with real Siena architecture. Food and service are excellent with great price. Ideal place for a quiet romantic dinner with a taste of Italy.

Have eaten here multiple times mainly because of the beautiful setting. However, this time I am on a restricted diet, and for the first time noticed that the ONLY green veggie on the menu is spinach! It is sautéed, or fresh in not only a spinach salad—but in EVERY salad. Sometimes the menu says field green salad, assorted greens, assorted young greens, etc. but these latter euphemisms are 97% spinach with only a few strands of a red or other spring lettuces. I cannot eat spinach because it is high in oxalates—a problem for many folks. Kale and other lettuces are fine, and usually an easy substitute in most restaurants these days. After much discussion with our waitress, I was told I could not order a salad with just “other greens” because the package it comes in is pre-mixed (not freshly constructed in the kitchen). So, I ordered the Insalata Funghi, and asked for a separate plate so I could pick out the spinach! The spinach filled that other plate, and I was left to eat 3 pea-size pieces of goat cheese, not enough greens to cover the plate, 4 thin slices of a portabella mushroom, the dried cherries, and almonds. Thank goodness, I had ordered the chicken to add to the salad. A restaurant of this type should have more creativity and options. Not good to have all your greens in one basket!!

First the pros, the staff are polite and the restaurant is clean and comfortable, but the food is just mediocre without any discernible flair, just a heavy handed amateurish attempt at Italian food. Please if you have any respect for Italian or indeed any good food avoid. There are far better and cheaper places to eat in Austin. The faux castle decor is just meh!

For our 33rd Anniversary we visited them for about the 5 th time. All is well in Siena with me having The evening special and wife having fish. It's a bit pricey but very good food and service.

We have loved this restaurant for years, so after spending time in Italy recently we decided to reminisce over happy hour at Siena. The bread was not the delicious type served in the restaurant, but simply rolls. I returned my mussels because they were rotten and the waiter made an excuse about them spawning. The other appetizers were fine but nothing was impressive enough to attract us to return. 😰

Siena is a charming restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly and the service is excellent. Fresh delectable Italian fare. The wild boar appetizer is AMAZING. The pastas handmade.I love the one with the mushrooms. It's located on the perifery of a big mall. But I do believe they were there first and then the mall built around them. Lovely people delicious food. One of my favorites in Austin.... oh and did I forget to say very romantic... ask to get the table next to the window upstairs... and buon appetito!

The culinary experience we had here is one of the very best. The appetizers were; the calamari and the stuffed figs were outstandingly delicious and we're gobbled up in no time. Our entrées consisted of fish; trout and swordfish and the Veal Chop. The fish were very fresh and beautifully presented on the plate. The veal chop on the other hand, was superbly and perfectly cooked and was very succulent. Its flavor was heavenly. I must say that our evening was made super special by our waitress Lauren. She's a PRO! Very friendly, knowledge, attentive and did a wonderful job taking good care of us. She's by far one of the very best! Thank you Lauren for a job well done. We will be back for sure.

We visited the restaurant with some friends who live in Austin but who hadn't been back to Siena for a few years. Apart from the fact that it was pouring with rain so we were soaked by the time we had reached the restaurant from the car park and were then jammed in the small vestibule for several minutes with other equally wet diners, we were very glad that our friends took us to Siena. The food was excellent, very flavourful, and the service was good. I had a mushroom pasta starter followed by a pork chop, accompanied by an excellent Montepulciano, and finished with a chocolate mousse. All in all a very tasty meal!

We enjoyed our meal here.....the service was good as was the food. Loved the facility decor too. The entree selections were good....did not find the desserts tempting though.

Siena is somewhat hard to find, but is worth it. Excellent dinner which this visit included Veal Marsala, potatoes and green beans. They are happy to split a full dinner for two which is great for weight control. The also have excellent happy hours.

Great wine list, incredible food of any Italian style...you cannot lose coming to this wonderfully beautiful place!

Very friendly Happy Hour with excellent choices like scallops and mussels, etc. Great atmosphere makes you think you are truly in Italy.

Great atmosphere , little classic Italy. Pasta, salads, clamps, cocktails are great. Stuff are very friendly.

I wanted to love it.... the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. The service was not very good. They messed up our reservation and promptly brought us a free appetizer, but after that we requested bread that took 20 min and this was after they poured the oil on the playe that the bread actually came. Out of 4 of us, only 1 really liked their dinner. It wasnt bad, it just wasnt wow. The ravioli beef with gorgonzola was very good but I only got about 6 and I was done with dinner quickly. My husband said the fish was a bit undercooked and my friend said her coozcous was undercooked. She liked the trout ok. The waiter forgot about the wine we ordered so we had to ask again. Just felt unfortunate for such a high dollar place. Table of 4 with 2 glasses of wine and an appetizer came to $165 before tip. We agreed we are glad we tried it but wont go back. I tried to get a virgin daquiri but no frozen drinks.

We visited Siena for the first time in quite a while. It's a bit of a drive from where we live but I decided it was worth the effort for a special birthday dinner. We certainly were rewarded for the time spent on the road. We've always loved the setting and it makes you feel like you are in Italy. Chef Harvey has a menu that changes frequently to use what's fresh and available. I had the Chef's tasting menu for the evening that combined a wonderful arugula and prosciutto with a fig balsamic dressing. I was supposed to have figs as well but I passed on those. Second course was well cooked penne pasta with a fabulous fontina cheese and truffle sauce. Wanted to lick the plate but decided to pass. The main was wonderfully cooked pork tenderloin with fried green tomatoes and an interesting potato side. It was great a some of it made its way home. The wife (in addition to sampling my wonderful items) and handmade fettuccine with mushrooms and truffle. Every bite was marvelous Our server, Angie, was attentive and provided us with some great information. She helped make the evening special for us both. Grazie mille.

Friends recommended as the perfect choice for our 40th anny dinner. They were spot on. Love the ambiance, real Tuscan feel. Pristine. Great menu. Wonderful salad. Glad we didn't split our entrees because meals were so good we didn't want to share. Great wine and full pour even by glass. Prices fair for white table cloth fine dining. Great spot for business, families, friends or a romantic couples dinner. The service makes it extra special. No need to deal with the hassle and prices of downtown Austin.

This place has a great atmosphere, and the food is absolutely delicious. Everything we ordered was superb, cooked to perfection. And they even gave me a sparkler in my birthday dessert. Would definitely recommend.

A group of high school friends, including me, went to the Toscana Ristorante for dinner. We had a fantastic meal with very good wait service. The food was wonderful and I thought reasonably priced.

I would give Sienna three stars but the ambience pulled it up one mark. I do not recall dining in a more beautifully appointed restaurant interior: very classic and classy Old World European charm, intimate setting, perfect ambient lighting. The wine list is extensive but overpriced. The menu is similarly diverse but again overpriced: consider that the most basic salad is $7. Fried Calamari was perfectly prepared and garnished. Dinner rolls were crusty and served with a plate of plain olive oil. It looked like other tables had their oil seasoned. Entrees were good but not as good as I expected from their pricing. The ravioli primi plate was superb. The capellini with gamberi primi far less so. For a tenderloin at $37 a la Carte, I expected a steak house prize. It was okay. The demi glace detracted from rather than complimented the meat. My wife far preferred the salmon she got at NXNW over the salmon at Sienna. Service started out as attentive but after the first course we felt forgotten by our waiter and rarely saw him again until he delivered the check. Our water glasses were kept full by the water server, however. I might go back every couple years but would not consider Sienna for a routine dining experience.

I love how beautiful this place looks--takes you back to Italy. I have enjoyed two meals there in the past 3 months and can't wait to go back. Their lemonade is the best blend of sweet and tart--my favorite EVER! The salads are fresh, tasty and simple ( I mean that in a good way, sometimes restaurant in trying to change things up add too many things that kill the taste ). The minestrone soup is excellent. The main entrees, like the mushroom ravioli and chicken entrees are hearty. By the time desert came I could only taste a couple of bites of the tiramisu one time and gelato another. My favorite spot in Austin

Last night we joined another couple at Sienna for just a night out at a great restaurant. We have eaten here before and knew the food would be fabulous. Our reservation was for Saturday night at 6:30. We were on time and seated immediately. We enjoyed a glass of wine then each ordered 2 courses. The restaurant was only lightly populated at that time with a good number of empty tables. It was one hour and 40 minutes before our salads showed up. I expected leisurely dining, but not THAT leisurely. There was another long lag between the salads and the main course. I've heard of the slow food movement, but this was completely unnecessary. The food WAS incredible, when it finally came. It's hard to give a stellar rating when the service is so slow. I don't know if the cause was the kitchen or our waiter. To be fair, we have not experienced this amount of slowness on our previous visits. Our bill for 4 people, 2 courses each, one bottle of wine, and 4 single glasses of wine-before tip- was just about $350.

My wife and I wanted to be reminded of our honeymoon to Tuscany for our 1st Anniversary so we decided to come here. We were very happy to taste food that is authentic to the Tuscan region. The hand made pastas were to die for. We didn't even get to the main course because we had an appetizer, salad/soup, and a decent portion of pasta. This is not your American Italian restaurant with gobs of cheese to cover up the flavor of the food. This Italian food is bursting with flavor and it is the of the same quality I got when visiting Tuscany. If you have been or are going to Tuscany please come check this place out. I usually don't Trip advise in my hometown, but this one deserved it.

FABULOUS FOOD - everything that we ate was simply superb. If you are a foodie this is definitely the place to go. The figs in goats cheese to die for.....

My first time here. I ordered the calamari and the lump crab portobello. The calamari is usually tossed with tomatoes, onion, etc, but I ordered it plain so I could actually taste the calamari itself. It tasted like it came from Carraba's: a lot of breading, calamari did not taste fresh, like it's been frozen awhile. The crab meat on the mushroom had an "off" taste and I didn't want to get sick off of it. It had a "fishy" smell and did not have a clean fresh taste so I set it aside and didn't eat it. The rest of the mushroom was very good and flavorful. Not worth the money and won't go back. Great ambience and service. For great calamari, Garbo's still can't be beat in Austin.

This is the best restaurant we have been to in Austin in years. Everything about it is exceptional, the ambiance, the service and most importantly the food. We were a party of 4 and all our selections were great. Highly recommend.

Terrible waitress service, rude, inappropriate, slow, unresponsive, abrupt. I cannot describe the horrible experience I had . I have been In Restaurants all over the world and never received such a service. Wrong wine, took the bottle away and argued with us. Poured a different wine in the same glass, got upset when we mentioned. Took 1 hour to bring water after 4 requests :’one to the waitress , one to another waitress who said I am not responsible for your table, one to a manager or hosts twice. Expensive for the horrendous service they provide. Co sister goi g to a different restaurant. Not worth it

Fantastic food, ambience and service. I can not say enough good things about Siena. This is a beautiful restaurant with so much character. The food transported me to Italy, bringin back memories of a trip many years ago. This is a hidden gem in Austin and is not to be missed.

We stop in for a glass of wine now and then, we can always get a spot on the comfy couches. This last time they let us order a small pizza for an appetizer, bit surprised because in past they have turned up their nose to any suggestion off the menu. Glad they are more flexible now.

Not a place to go if you are hungry and on a budget, but great atmosphere and impeccable service. Fortunately I wasn't ravenous when I went in. Food was very good.....but a bit on the dainty portion side.... perfect if you are having multiple courses. On the positive side, I didn't feel stuffed when I left...which is good.

The selection of Siena was entirely due to needing a place to park while we attended a PGA Tour Golf tournament so, since we decided that because we were using their parking lot we should also eat after the event and are we ever glad I am particular about Italian food (spend a lot of time in Italy) so I know what's good and what's not. Siena was fantastic. From check-in to the wine list to the food, all fantastic. The pasta is all made on premises and is delightful. I had as my second course the filet and it was cooked to my exact wishes. The roasted potatoes were beyond spectacular. Our entire family of 4 adults and 2 young children were welcomed which was heartening. If you like Italian and wonderful professional service, this is the place in Austin BTW. Thanks for letting us park there

four for long liesurely dinner. Great decor/ambiance. Apps & salads great. Shrimp pasta not so great. Both ladies disliked. Both guys had meat dishes which were good. Lousy tiramisu. Food service good. Wine service bad. Our first bottle was a Masi Amerone. That should have sent a wine steward to our table. Instead the 20ish waitress pours our first glass and that's it. We had to tell her we wanted another bottle, and asked for a suggestion. She assured us there was a less expensive, same grape from S America. Should have known better, and probably sent it back. It was not dry, but sweet. At their prices, and bragging of how many wines they have, they need to have a wine steward.

We attended a private party with about 30 people. The room was extremely crowded and the servers had to have us pass food as there was no room to walk between tables. It was extremely warm in the room with that many people in it. The rolls brought out were very warm and fresh out of the oven and great. It was difficult to share plates of olive oil with people double dipping and no butter available. The food was pretty good. I’m not sure that we will return as it is not near where we live.

I have had the opportunity to dine twice at Siena. Both times I have had the fortune of not having to pay a dime. They also have been business engagements which meant that we sat at a small room upstairs and not in the main dining area. The space is is cozy and a tight squeeze for a dozen folks, but what the heck, it works for a freebie. On my last visit, we actually had the run of the menu, so I actually had a chance of picking what I wished to try. One of my colleagues raved about the Cured Black Mission figs, Parma prosciutto, goat cheese, balsamic reduction plate called Fichi Imbottiti. It was ok, but I preferred the Capesante; Grilled Sea Scallops, pressed watermelon, crisp Prosciutto di Parma, pickled onions. Nicely seared scallops the melon and parma was quite a tasty starter. I noticed for my salad they had the beets again, which I enjoyed and reminds me of my family meals as a kiddo. It was as good and comfort foody as I recalled from my first visit. I like how they offer a small pasta dish prior to our main and I wasted no time ordering up the Pappardelle con Salsiccie, which is their hand cut fresh pasta, grilled sausage, garlic, extra virgin olive oil, cracked red chili, pomodoro sauce, goat cheese. It was a generous serving for $9. Siena offers a wide range of mains from seafood to steaky things. Having enjoyed the scallops, I choose seafood for my main with the Salmone Grigliata con Sformatino di Patate, which is a nice mix of a Grilled Salmon Fillet, grilled shrimp, grilled sea scallops, lemon-tarragon beurre blanc, roasted potato sformatino. I was definitely getting filled up at this point, but our waiter was on the ball with suggestions for dessert, however I couldn't acquiescence. Our host's had picked a nice selection of Texas Wines for the evening, which went well with everything I ate. The service was unobtrusive, efficient and informative when asking questions. How he got all those servings up those stairs without dropping anything was pretty impressive. I would like to dine again within the main dining room to get the full ambiance of the restaurant, since it is nicely appointed. I'll be grabbing the little lady for that trip very soon.

This restaurant was excellent. The muscles and sauce were to die for and I loved that they had 1/2 potions bc I wanted to try everything. I have 2 criticisms for this place however that I didn't feel should detract from the rating. They serve in true Italian form in that they don't put a lot of sauce on the dishes. I would have preferred more, especially on the Taglieri Fungi, which was so good I want to learn to make it. 2nd critic is that they only served one very hard roll with dinner, instead of a bowl or basket of bread. It was fine for dipping into my muscles sauce but eating alone would have hurt my teeth. We brought a lot of it home with us and will add my own sauce to the other dishes. The ravioli was also especially tasty. Service was good, not great but certainly better than average. It was also a little pricey and my nephew would complain that they had no meatballs which I have seen in upscale restaurants as an appetizer, just saying. Well worth a visit. Oh, the homemade pasta was also wonderful.

This great restaurant is located in a new but unusually authenic Tuscany building that is amazing. The food and service matches the facility. We have eaten here several times when visiting from Houston and have always been impressed with this restaurant. Try the fig appetizer.

Visiting family in Austin and they brought us to Siena for dinner. This was our first time here and first thoughts were the building was beautiful and represented the feel of Tuscany. We ordered the calamari and garlic bread for appetizers. The calamari was very tender with a light crust. The seasoning in the tomatoes enhanced the flavor of the dish. I felt the garlic bread lacked a strong flavor and was disappointing. The various entrees were all good. My wife had the chicken Marsala which usually is served as thin filets. The dish at Siena was a quarter of a chicken with the drum stick attached. The sauce was good but the chicken was a little dry. The pasta dishes at the table were all very good and the double cut pork chop was also excellent. Service was very attentive and friendly. Overall it was a good evening and I would go back again.

We enjoyed lunch with a glass of wine recommended by our waiter. The wine was a good choice. The food was very well prepared and very tasty. As the restaurant filled up the noise level went up accordingly. Aside from that, it was an enjoyable lunch.

We felt lucky to be able to book in at Siena for Easter on comparatively short notice, and we're really happy we did. Madame and I had been there for dinner maybe ten years before, and remembered the place very favorably; why it took us so long to get back (having moved into the area for good about two and a half years ago) I'm not sure, but it won't be another ten years before we return. Three of us were shown to a very nice corner table on Easter Sunday, and after glasses of prosecco and a bellini we tucked into the special menu. In many restaurants "special" menus on holidays really mean limited offerings, jacked-up prices, and disappointment, but Siena really rolled out some wonderful options for al three courses. A pork loin chop, steak, and lamb offerings were our main dishes, and all were superb. My mussels-and-sausage starter was memorable, and on the other sides of the table a small bite of crab salad and avocado mousse, on crispy polenta, was a real success. The "first plates" (i.e. our middle course) were grilled asparagus with a poached duck egg and, for two of us, lobster/crab ravioli. Nice. Madame's pork loin was a little less satisfying -- an odd spice flavor had been added -- but she was still very happy with the rest. A very nice bottle of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc added a nice note to everything else, and the desserts -- I dared to say the T-Word (tiramisu) lived up to our expectations. The building and decor are reminiscent of an Italian hill town; noise levels were a little higher than I'd have liked, but then it was a cheerful holiday crowd. Our server, Brady, kept things well-paced; he was accurate, attentive, and unobtrusive. Prices are on the high side but not at all out of line with the pleasures on offer. My dim recollection (the only kind I have, anymore) is that when we visited ten or more years ago, the restaurant was off by itself; now it has a number of stores out front, but is still not difficult to find. Parking is plentiful, all manner of plastic is accepted, and the wine list is creative and offers a full range of choices. In a few weeks I'm hosting a family dinner in Madame's honor (big birthday divisible by five...) and it looks as though Siena will be the perfect place. I'm looking forward to that already...

Loved the location and the atmosphere. Very classy and authentic Italian restaurant with the clear intention to provide a great dining experience. We arrived on time and were promptly seated. The waiter was pleasant and explained the menu to us for which we appreciated. We didn't do a full course and instead went for main course plus wine. We were happy the wait time was minimal. The food was very flavorful and the meat was so tender and moist. We were however rather disappointed with the portion sizes. My husband ordered pasta to go with the main course and it was simply not enough food for him. I was intentionally saving some of my calories for dessert so I didn't mind the portions. I suppose if we did the full course of appetizer/salad, pasta AND entree then portions would have been enough but for his birthday it just wasn't. This is the only reason we are giving it 4 stars. Great service. Tasty and well cooked food. Great atmosphere. Still quite glad we chose this authentic Italian restaurant to celebrate my husband's birthday.

Siena is authentic italian food. First there are the multiple courses. Pasta is just a small course among others. Then there is the way of preparing it and the ingredients. And finally the setting is gorgeous. I started with the mussels which were excellent. Then went on to the wild boar pasta which was so delicious. It reminded me of the french bourguignone way of preparing meat (slow cooked in red wine with carrots). I then had the rabbit, which can be tricky, but I was served generous portions of the legs, which were quite meaty. I'm partial to sauces, and this didn't disappoint. For dessert, the tiramisu did the trick. I would have preferred it withoutt the chocolate syrup, but it was still extremely enjoyable. The only negative I would give would the lack of kids menu, but then again I must be the only crazy one bringing my kids to this type of restaurant.

Dinner for a couple. Nice and quiet. Great table good service. Enjoyed the wine and pasta. Really loved the sausage. Was just spicy enough.

I recently ate there with a friend and his gf. He started out at the bar with a lovely glass of Rosamara Chiaretto from an italian winery names Costaripa. Then we moved over to the outdoor patio (It was a nice evening, gentle breeze and still light out). There we shred a plate of fried chicken liver with a glass of champagne (don't knock it till you try it). This was a delightful combination, which was topped only by the fresh made pappardelle at ragu di cinghiale, which we enjoyed with a delicious bottle of Fuligni Rosso di Montalcino. They have a very nice wine selection, mostly Italian and the prices are moderate. The crowd is affluent yet the atmosphere is relaxing and comforting. The staff is friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant has the best real italian food in Texas. It is really hard to find good authentic italian food in the TX, usually everything is bathed in garlic and butter and so many sices that mask the taste, so it is impossible to savour the food you are actually eating. This restaurant is completely different, food is cooked in a more simple way dishes just like they do it in Italy, so you can really taste the food. We order almost every dish from the antipasti, they were amazing and the bisteca fiorentina was cooked to perfection. They also have the best tiramisu I tried outside of Italy. The atmosphere is really nice , the building beautiful, it looks like an authentic villa toscana. This is a very classy place but the food is actually affordable, which really surprised me. I highly recommend it!

Impeccable service, good food, and a lovely setting. Great wine selection. Worth taking the trouble to find.

Seven of us here for twin grandsons's 16th birthday, and loved it. We had a great server, Paul, and he did a great job guiding us in appetizer selections (figs and wild boar), so we knew we were off to good start. Entrees varied from lamb shank to pasta to grilled seafood, and all went away full and happy. My grilled salmon with shrimp and scallops was perfectly cooked and sized. This restaurant has long been a favorite of their other grandparents, and we were most happy with the selection. Highly recommended!

great atmosphere, great food and reasonable prices. I have been here several times and love it each time. The service is great, the food amazing and the price wont put you into sticker shock.

We ate here seven years ago. I remember we wanted to try everything on the menu! We returned during our visit in town and had the same feeling. Plus everything we ate was delicious. The service was first rate and the atmosphere is still as charming and elegant as before. One of our favorite out of town restaurants!

My son and I had a very good dinner at Siena. The place reminds me of the places I have been to in Tuscany. The food was delicious and the wine superb. The service was very professional. I had the veal chop. It was huge. This is the only place in Austin I have found that serves Veal Chop. My son had the filet di Manzo and had them leave off the Gorgonzola. He really enjoyed it. Needless to say we had plenty to take home. We also had the bruschetta con Cinghiale. It was fantastic. My angel hair livornese was also delicious. My only complaint is that the waiter was a bit heavy on the pour of the wine. I preferred less in the glass with each pour. However, I can work with that and we will be back.

We dined here with friends last night, our first visit, a repeat visit for them. What a wonderful place. The dining area is VERY aesthetically pleasing. Everything about it was charming. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable and not afraid to make suggestions. Everyone LOVED what they ordered! I will definitely go back when I'm back in Austin!

this Italian restaurant is one of the best i've ever been too. the food is amazing and authentic italian food. not smothered in gross cheese, not swimming in tomato-y canned sauce, not soggy, day old noodles that have been sitting in a hot water bath. this place is absolutely fantastic. they have an extensive wine list that not only includes some of the bets from Italy and California, but locals as well, like Becker. they have a full bar, but really focus on Italy with an assortment of Grapa and Lemoncello. the food is elegant, rich, with lots of depth and character and really makes you think you are in the Italian country side. it simply doesn't get any better. and then they have amazing staff. our waiter was Paul and this dude knew his stuff. i pride myself in knowing a lot about food and wine, but this guy makes me seem like a blubbering idiot in comparison. he had amazing recommendations, was honest and really wanted us to explore the food the restaurant offered. it was like taking a journey, yet he holds your hand the whole way. loved it!! they have a small out door patio that is great when the weather allows it and the interior is warm with rich Italian detail. ok, so yeah, it's not cheap, but you get what you pay for 100% and i would go back (and WILL go back) soon. again, thank you Paul for making our dinner amazing.

While this restaurant is outside the downtown Austin area, it is easy to find, and the setting is very nice. Located off the highway, this restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, and wasn't the least bit pretentious. The food was very good, and although the entree portions aren't gigantic, it's fine because there are so many delicious appetizers and desserts to choose from. An extensive wine menu, prompt service and welcoming environment makes this a top Italian restaurant in Austin.

The beautiful setting has always been inviting but what brings us here is the food. The bruschetta with wild boar ragu was sensational as was the fried calamari, fish and shrimp appetizer. My tagliatelle with braised beef rocked. All my family loved their entrees. Our waitperson was perfect as was the wine. We noticed a good showing for their happy hour. Love this restaurant.

My wife and I ate here and enjoyed a delicious and romantic dinner. The building invokes a villa in Tuscany both inside and out. We started out with the calamari alla Siciliana, fried calamari tossed with capers, garlic, oregano and crushed tomatoes. What a delicious take on fried calamari! The grilled rustic bread was cooked perfectly. The salad with black truffle-balsamic vinaigrette was savory. My wife had the Salmonella Griliato con Frutti di Mare- an excellent combination with wood grilled salmon, shrimp and sea scallops seasoned oh so well. I had the Cacciucco alla Livornese- shrimp, scallops, calamari and and mussels in a stewed tomato based sauce and grilled bruschetta for soaking up as much of the delicious sauce as you can. Amazing. If you want the whole package for a romantic dinner for two- amazing atmosphere and amazing food, this place is hard to beat.

We went for lunch on a Tuesday for my wife's birthday. We liked the atmosphere. The food was tasty. I had wild boar over pasta. My wife had lump crab meat over pasta. She could not find much crab meat in her plate, in fact very little. My portion of meat was fine. The waiter did not offer us any bread until other tables seated after us had received theirs. I asked for cheese for my plate and received a very small bowl of shredded something. No cheese graters insight. Nice list of wines at a reasonable price. Doubt if we will go back.

Siena is consistently great. The ambiance of the restaurant is superb! You feel like you've gone to Tuscany! This is not a typical Italian restaurant, so try it out, you will be surprised.

Excellent from start to finish. Very attentive but not overbearing service. Delicious food served piping hot in a well timed dining experience. This Italian food at its finest. The atmosphere is wonderful and the team members very friendly.

Nice location and decor. Food is good, but not to die for. Food takes much too long to come out of the kitchen. You land up drinking too much wine because you are waiting so long for your food. If you go with a group you will not be served your food at the same time. They tell you it's because it is individually made from scratch. Be prepared to spend 3 to 4 hours for your dining experience. They sell you on the idea that your best experience is a 4 course meal. If you want to share a course, such as a salad with a friend and they tell you they will split it for you, watch out because they will charge you $3.00 to do it. They also make it clear that they will not run a separate check for you if you have 2 or 3 couples dining together. Great way to kill the evening.

A grand venue, rather like a small castle. The service was exceptionally good. The three of us all enjoyed our food, Appetizers, Main Courses and Desserts with a bottle of wine and espresso came to a total of $195. I would go so far as to say this was the best dinner out I have had in a long time. I highly recommend Siena.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible rabbit entre I had here. Absolutely superb, the best I have ever had. The venison with spaghetti was also great, my wife loved the salmon. The atmosphere was fantastic with an enormous two sided fire, great tables & chairs. Our waiter was excellent with service Southern style-crisp and smiling.

I made a reservation through open table a few days prior. Got a confirmation email a few times leading up to reservation date. I’m happy about that. Never made a reservation online before, i’ve always phoned a restaurant. I arrived before my date, so i sat at the bar to wait. The bartenders took great care of me. The host sat us in a separate dining area upstairs that overlooks the main dining room. Beautiful restaurant! Our waiter, David, took really great care of us! He made sure to repeat back our order before submitting it. I appreciated that. Less chance of getting it wrong! The rest of the staff made sure our waters were filled and our empty plates were removed from the table. The food was AMAZING! We ordered way too much food but every dish had great flavor. We ordered a little bit of everything. The salmone pasta and the carpaccio were my absolute favorites. They even give complimentary bread, which was toasty and so yummy. Will definitely go back again!

Not too far from NW Austin, 360-to-2222 exit-turnaround. Located near Waterloo, just behind the Chase flooring building (take a right from entrance). Siena Ristorante is housed in a stand alone, beautiful rustic style building. White table cloth table setting, in a rustic but casually elegant interior. Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) dined here for lunch. We would highly recommend the HANDMADE pasta dishes, but other lower carb options featuring chicken or beef dishes are great too. Rolls are very nice and we also enjoyed the salad or soup appetizers. Finished our wonderful meal with coffees and tiramisu. Look forward to returning for future visits.

This restaurant has the perfect date night ambiance. The service is always on point. The variety and authenticity of the Italian fare will keep you coming back. Try something new on the menu that you probably wouldn’t normally try. You won’t be disappointed.

Here’s the recap. We sat down and were immediately served bread and water. The bread was pretty good. The water was, um, water. And then our waiter went full magician and disappeared for the next 40 minutes before we could even order. So we walked out (leaving a small amount to cover our “prison vittles”). So I can’t tell you if the food is any good but the service clearly is not. Thank you Siena for completely ruining our evening. Actually, they didn't. We went next door to Waterloo and got spot on service from a restaurant that costs a fraction as much. My recommendation: go somewhere else. While there aren't a plethora of decent Italian restaurants in Austin I won't be back.

First off, the restaurant from the outside is absolutely beautiful! We were celebrating a special occasion and the Siena certainly delivered. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and bar staff and lead to a table on the upper level that gave us a beautiful view of the restaurant. Then we were greeted by our server who was friendly and so knowledgeable about the food and wine that it made the occasion so much more delightful. Everything on the menu sounded so good, but I finally decided on a seafood dish that was delicious and melted in my mouth. So yummy!!! And. Then topped it off with the tiramisu. WOW! If you are looking for a top notch restaurant in the area, you have to visit Siena. You will not be disappointed.

I don't favor eating pasta in restaurants but I strongly suggest to eat pasta in Sienna. Their parpadelle is home made and knife cut. The artichoke filled ravioli are incredible. I really like this place. Good Value for Lunch, expensive for dinner but worth it.

This restaurant is as lovely as other reviewers have reported. The wait staff is very proper and attentive. The food presentation is beautiful. The meats and the bruschetta have a strong smoke infused flavor. (the menu clearly states that these foods are cooked over a wood fire.) I now remember clearly that I do not like strong smoke flavored food! Apart from my preference, everything was well prepared. My only hesitation about recommending a dish, is the gnocchi with mushrooms. The night I went, the gnocchi were pretty much soft balls of mashed potato. The mushrooms on the dish were not a familiar mushroom to me. In fact, they were mushy, gooey blobs with horrible mouth-feel. This is a good restaurant, but I don't think that I will return, mostly because of the style of preparation, which I do not like.

Siena has the look and feel of a Tuscan villa and a menu to match. We have dined here before and have always been impressed with the comfortable surrounding, the veritable menu, excellent wine list and friendly, competent service. Our latest visit was no exception. When we made our dinner reservations we had asked for seating by one of the fireplaces and we were not disappointed. Next came the challenge of choosing from the wonderful offerings each more appetizing then the next. I took the easy way out and picked the evening's three course selection. The potato soup with a touch of truffle was delightful, the creamy penne pasta with sun dried tomatoes was delicious and the stuffed quail on a bed of sauteed kale a treat. Other notables include the antipasti "Brushetta al Cinghiale" which is a wild boar ragu...think great BBQ...and is enough for a meal! The salmone arigliato and beef filet were memorable as well. Our waiter, Paul, was attentive and fun and added to a very pleasant dining experience.

The chef prepared an amazing taglierini al funghi, which is homemade pasta with cream sauce, shallots, cremini mushrooms, white truffle oil, and grana padano cheese. Omg!! It was DELICIOUS. And I ate it all before I could take a picture. It reminded me of when I was in Siena, Tuscany last summer. If you are looking for good tuscany styled food, you must give this place a try. Also excellent wines by the glass.

This is both a lovely setting for a romantic dinner and as a culinary destination. The antipasti is delightful here, The calamari was actually prepared to perfection -- something I find extremely rare, the asparigi, was roasted to perfection crisp and tender the crostini was perfect. My dining partner had as his main course past with the wild boar ragu, the pasta was extremely fresh and made in house, I enjoyed the special of the evening which was a salmon filet over a bed of roasted veges. The veges were delightful and the salmon we tender, juicy and filled with flavor. We shared a bottle of wine a lovely cabernet as soon as the bottle was uncorked, the rich aroma just filled the air it was definetly a Wow factor to our meal. It was a lovely, lovely evening!

I went several times at Siena with my husband, so I like it, the menu is not as Italian as I expected but still very tasty. I am just a little disappointed that in this price range kind of restaurant, all the pasta are not handmade...and as every restaurant in this US they poor a full glass of wine in your glass...but it's still good quality, and it's also very quiet, rare fact in the US restaurants.

We went their for our 27th wedding anniversary and had a fabulous time. Our waiter Mr. Young gave us excellent service. The inside is so beautiful, we could live their. Our filet-melon steaks were cooked perfect. I would recommend Siena for any occasion. We do not drink, but they have a very large wine collection. Enjoy.

I would like to take this opportunity to highly recommend Siena's to anyone who is looking for a romantic place to celebrate an anniversary or really any occasion. The food and service were impeccable! Our waiters name was Paul and I would suggests that you ask for him, very knowledgable, personable and friendly. The food was incredible and the 4 course meal was a great experience in itself. We were well taken care of during our dining experience. Great place and will definitely be back. Thank you Siena's for a very memorable anniversary.

My wife and I met friends for dinner at Siena during a business trip to Austin this past February. We became acquainted with them during a Viking cruise the previous November. They took us to one of their favorite places, Siena. It has a beautifully decorated interior. We were seated upstairs overlooking the main dining area. I had the grilled salmon with lump crabmeat and shrimp, roasted potatoes and sautéed spinach. My wife had the tagliatelle alla Bolognese. The food was excellent. The service was very attentive but not obtrusive. We enjoyed our visit to Siena very much.

Beautiful setting..the building inside and out. Staff-attentive, sharp but not overbearing. Food-delicious!

We had lunch this week at Siena, our second trip there, this is my first review. The setting is excellent, noise level good, staff is helpful and friendly. White bean soup was bland, pasta struck together in clumps, tomato sauce was well balanced and tasty. Both times we walked out saying it was "ok" and we'd go back but not a place we'd take foodies. We have been to 3 Italian restaurants which we liked better, and 2 less, than Siena in Austin.

We reserved at this restaurant and expected it to be all on it's own. It's actually part of a strip type mall, not that it matters, but it was unexpected. Very pretty. Beautiful ambiance. We sat in the balcony so we could see the whole place, including the fireplace. The menu is true Italian style, where you order by course. So you can have as much or as little as youwant. Great wine list. The tiramasu is to die for. You can easily split it between two people and have more than enough.

I take my family to Italy every year, and when I walked into this restaurant, I felt like I was there. The owners built it using Italian approaches to construction. They sent the chef to Italy to study. They have a wine list that would make an Italian drool. Just go, and you can say you have been to Italy!

Good food and comfortable atmosphere. The calamari appetizer was good but not great. We all had pastas, the wild boar, angel hair with shrimp and the pasta with sausage. All were terrific. Too full for dessert but they looked yummy.

I had lunch here on a recent Monday after getting my hair done at the nearby salon. Place was quiet, what you would expect for a Monday. I sat kind of in the bar area, close to the fireplace. I ordered the bolognese and am really glad I did! It was tasty and hit the spot. A little oily but I see that a lot in restaurants so no big deal. Staff was all very friendly and welcoming.

Happy hour menue is quite exstensive. Mussels were soooo good. Outstanding cadillac margarita. Service was exceptional.

We come to Siena all the time either for lunch or for dinner! We love everything here. They have options for all types of allergies and the servers are always warm and helpful with choosing your meal. We recommend calling ahead for reservations.

I had the task of finding a nice restaurant with a private room that would accommodate a large party that was a mix of vegans, vegetarians, gluten free, and carnivores. After months of research Siena Ristorante was booked with less than a week before the event. Sound stressful? You betcha. Siena’s staff made the planning easy - everyone was professional, helpful, and Chef Harvey even took time out of his busy schedule to call me to formalize the menu. We made numerous unusual requests and all were accommodated. The restaurant truly reflects Tuscany in design and the staff’s gracious hospitality is greatly appreciated. Thank you Siena!

Great atmosphere in a purpose built building. Becoming a fan of Siena years ago I finally made a return visit & and glad I did, the atmosphere is very pleasant & relatively quiet by today's standards with the always outstanding food & service!

We love all things Italian so when I was going to be in Austin overnight I looked up Italian restaurants and this place got my attention. It's not downtown, where I was staying so I was hesitant to drive there but it's well worth the drive. The restaurant itself is a beautiful building an old Italian feel. We had reservations and glad we did because the place was full. The wine list is excellent and the prices are appropriate for the wines listed. We had an amazing Frescobaldi Brunello. The appetizer was fig, proscuitto, goat cheese, balsamic reduction - great! Tagliatelle with wild boar and the filet did not disappoint. The pace was just right - not rushed and not slow. The waiter was mindful of all of this. Overall the restaurant was fantastic. We'll be back when we're in Austin again.

There are many superlatives to describe Siena Restaurant in Austin - excellent food, charming and authentic atmosphere, very convenient location, friendly and helpful staff, etc. If you have visited Tuscany (or would like to), you wil enjoy the "touch of Italy" found at this restaurant. The chef has trained and studied in Italy, especially in San Gimignano, and recreated an atmosphere found in that area. The restaurant is tucked away at the corner of 2222 and 360 across the street from County Line restaurant.

I have been to Siena for lunch many, many times. I really love their portobello mushroom with spinach and goat cheese lunch special. Its fabulous! The restaurant is very beautiful inside and I love looking around when we go there. I have also been to one of their wine dinners and that was fun! I recommend going to one if you can. The one draw back is that its not usually a quick dining experience, especially at lunch. The service is a little slow. However, I have never been in a hurry and told them to rush. Maybe if you do that things are quicker?

Went here for dinner with my husband a month ago and was very disappointed with my service. We sat in the bar area since we didn’t make reservations. We did get seated quickly, but our server was very rude from the start. When you spend this kind of money on dinner and drinks the service needs to be top of the line, but that not how we were treated. Service was slow, I always say thank you after getting topped of for drinks I never got a your welcome or my pleasure after. The dude was ignoring my table and took 45 minutes to get us our boxes and bill. We spend easily $200 for the two of us with wine, appetizers and food and I expected a little more. Food is very good here and I have no issues with how great everything taste. But good service is what makes your experience so much better and I did not get that from here. Disappointed and will not be back because of how we where treated last.

We ate at Sienna last night. I had reserved a table for four on Open Table and requested someplace not too noisy. We arrived a bit early and were immediately seated at a table in a far corner which was very quiet. Can't stand restaurants where you can't even talk with the people at your table due to the noise. Our waiter went out of his way to make suggestions and was very attentive but we never felt rushed. Everyone loved their meals, 3 of us ordered the walnut crusted trout and the fourth ordered a special of the day, a beef medley. Our first pasta courses were equally delicious as well. The other couple had never been to Sienna and were delighted to learn about it and were impressed with everything, the ambience, the service and the excellent food. After we left and had been gone less than 10 minutes we received a phone call saying one of the ladies had left behind a sweater. Talk about service!!! We live 45 minutes away from Sienna but it is so worth the drive.

They serve really delicious food, and plates are quite full. The wine selection is huge but pricy, (be sure you discuss with someone who really knows the wines they have to get good advice). Homemade bread and pastries by the pasty lady, awesome!

Siena is very close to my home and always has been a favorite of mine. Haven't been in over a year until this past December. Took an employee and his wife to dinner to celebrate the holiday. the experience was far from what I remembered in all the prior years I had visited Siena. The short ribs I ordered for dinner were 50% fat. The scallop appetizer was over $13 and was very disappointing. For $13 there were two very small scallops on the plate. I suspect they cut one sea scallop in half. Since I was with employees I didn't want to complain. They seemed to enjoy the meal but possibly none of us wanted to ruin the celebratory theme of the evening. I won't be going back. The prices charged are not represented in the quality of the food presented.

I am SO sad to be writing this... but this place just isn't worth it. It looks beautiful and romantic but it is seriously lacking. The chef is out to impress with his incredible culinary skills that most of us normal people just don't want or understand. The menu is annoyingly mostly not in english and lacked many normal options you'd want at an Italian restaurant. No Alfredo options... some with legit wild boar? More over the hostess was awkward. The waiter was even more awkward. The hostess asked us if we'd like to sit upstairs or not. She said it was more romantic upstairs. So we went. The stairs caused our waiter to be out of breath every time he came up them. The menu was overpriced. My pasta was meh. I will admit the free bread was good (when it finally came). The timing was off. The drinks and bread came FINALLY after we waited so long we were discussing leaving soon- and then like 2 min later our appetizers arrived. The calamari we ordered & the carpaccio were very good. Our pasta dishes (that were $20) were just eh. Summary- you would probably have a less awkward, easier menu navigating, better food... and all around better experience at Olive Garden. To make matters even more laughable- we choose this place special for our 1st wedding anniversary. Thank goodness our marriage is a million times better than this place. We obviously won't be back.

It had been a few years since my last dinner at Siena, so I was curious to see if the restaurant had stood the test of time. We had a *perfect* evening. We had reserved a table on the balcony, which is the way to go if you want to escape most of the cacophony of the main dining room. Even up there, the noise was sometimes distracting, the only negative of our whole experience. I started with the calamari, which had an excellent unusual garniture of diced tomatoes which were not only delicious but also made me feel slightly less guilty about all the calories and fat from the fried goodness of the squid. Then I had the wild boar ragu, which was outstanding. Our top-notch waiter helped pick a red wine that went perfectly with our meal. All 3 of us were extremely pleased.

Picture sitting by a large stone fireplace with a nice fire going while sipping wine in a high beamed ceiling dining room while waiting for your appetizer of prociutto wrapped figs stuffed with goat cheese....Well, you must experience this like we did this past Saturday. Lovely place to have dinner with attentive service by our waiter, Chad. The home made breads and pastas are absolutely awesome. Try the ribbon pasta with wild boar ragu. And the wine selection is really, really good. Prices are a bit steep, but the unique menu at this 2012 Zagat rated restaurant is worth every dollar. I highly recommend making reservations in advance since we could only dine in the bar area without reservations - at that was a 5pm when they opened.

Best Italian food I have ever had. The first bite of the grilled bruschetta appetizer had me..... excellent wine list, I discovered a new zinfindel....Klinker Brick Old Ghost. Wonderful atmosphere, and service. I hope to be back here soon!

They are always so nice. I love to sit in the cocktail area near the fire place when it is winter. However, this was a birthday party so we elected to sit in the dining room. The food was great as usual and the server was very attentive. We had the trout which was light but really big. We also had the fennel sausage pasta (every time). Bread pudding for desert. Yummmm a "Fall" back favorite.

Had not been here for dinner except for when they first opened but typically do lunch here. That being said, the evening experience is a good one. We started off with the fried chicken livers which are fried with a delicious crisp coating on their outside yet are fork tender to eat. They are served over a delicious onion and bacon sauce. Veal chops in Austin are hard to find that are the larger tender variety but they can be found on their menu. They are served on top of a potato side dish and was cooked perfectly to the temperature that I requested. another in the party ordered the Pork tenderloin but we had to agree the Veal chop was the winner of the evening. They offer a great wine list with some outstanding selections. We ordered a very nice Italian wine called Prelius Cabernet which was very good with our entrees. Followed all of this with the dessert dish call Tiramisu which is some of the better in Austin. Very light yet very elegant and tasty. Wait staff was super.

Had a small business dinner here recently and had a great experience. Sat upstairs where it was private and quiet. Our server, Joe, was polite, informative, and efficient. Calimari was different from the norm, but very good. My wife's pork special was wonderful. Our guest's trout was flavorful (and no bones!) And the ambiance was great, just like for the past 20 years. It's such a nice contrast to so many of the new, trendy, loud, restaurants opened in Austin the last few years....it was especially nice to not have to scream across the table to be heard.

Siena is well known for its excellent pasta, but did you know they have one of the best trout plates in Austin? The trout is cooked to perfection with a light cream sauce and spinach. Great for someone wanting to eat on the light, healthy side. We've been there twice in a week for the same meal it is so excellent. And the staff is always attentive and informative (suggested a less expensive wine that we might like more, and did!). They also have an excellent happy hour bill of fare.

Went with co-workers for dinner and discovered it was still Happy Hour, all appetizers are 1/2 price and bottles of wine are $20. I split about 5 appetizers with a friend and we could not eat them all. Great portion size and food was delicious! They have some interesting items on the menu. I would highly recommend trying it out.

My wife and I met a client and her family here. They were very accommodating of our special requests, the food was excellent, and the portions were very generous. They even accommodated our sleeping infant with a flipped over high chair to hold her car seat. The service was excellent, and I would definitely recommend anyone in Austin check this place out. It was on the pricier side, but very good.

Each time we visit Siena we wonder why we don’t come more often. Tonight we stopped for cocktails and stayed for two dinner courses. Every thing was superb and we will return soon.

This was much more upscale than we anticipated. Very beautiful restaurant. Good food. Fair prices. Service was very friendly and helpful although a little lax. Long time between appetizer and main course. Water glasses not refilled, etc. Would very much recommend this as a good date night place. But there were several group tables as well. Mostly full but no long waits and they have a large bar.

We've been to Sienna twice now and extremely pleased both times. It's convenient location and beautifully designed restaurant make the food taste all the better. Service is on mark without being pushy or smothering. Food is outstanding and high value for dollar spent will keep us coming back!

I enjoyed a very nice meal here with a friend. The atmosphere was good, quiet, easy to talk, nice ambiance and surroundings. The place might be busier on a weekend, but was quite quiet on a Monday evening. I tried the salmon, and it was really nice, perfectly cooked, not at all overdone. Would definitely recommend this place, especially if you're looking for a place that's definitely more upscale than your run-of-the-mill Italian restaurant.

Service was slow. JD, our waiter, ignored us for a table of 12. He could not ask someone else to take our drink order? Did not make us feel welcomed. Portions were small and expensive. I dont think a salad in Tuscany costs 9 dollars. Spent over $200 on ok food and poor service. If you want Itallian abience, rent an Itallian movie, The ambience will be more authentic and enjoyable. Looking forward to exploring other Austin restaurants. Crossing Siena off my list of good restaurants.

An all-time favorite of locals and a favorite of ours for over a decade. Generally, restaurants with great food, the ambiance suffers. And the converse, restaurants with great ambiance, the food suffers. Through some sort of culinary magic, Siena has managed to catch lighting in a wine glass. On a recent visit we arrived for a 7:00 reservation – stayed until closing – and enjoyed every minute in between. Cocktails were marvelous and complimented perfectly an order of Fichi Ripieni (figs with goat cheese). Soup and salads followed before our entrees. For our main course we ordered the Mahi Special, a Capellini con Gamberi (pasta with shrimp & tomatoes), Bistecca Tagliata, and the Wild Boar Secondo (my favorite). All were absolutely amazing and pared beautifully with a bottle of Jankara Vermentino. Fabulous desserts completed a perfect dinning experience. Our only regret is that we don’t dine here more often.

We dine here about once a month. Always a great meal. I like the pasta that is made in house. we also order the Tuscan Peach Martini. Nice happy hour at the bar. We like table 23

Everyone knows the food at Sienna is terrific, but my family wasn't in the mood for a big meal. So we tried out Sienna's happy hour. The happy hour wine selections were terrific. So were the lightly fried artichoke hearts and the grilled rustic bread and cheese dip. The fried calamari, fish, and shrimp was sensational. The entree, paparadelle with wild boar we took home for later, was terrific. The soft classical music and comfortable seating made this a great choice. We will definitely return.

Friends of ours from Austin took us here for lunch recently when we stopped by to visit them. I was very surprised to see such a charming restaurant in Texas after having been to mostly Tex-Mex and barbeque restaurants while in their state. The atmosphere seemed to be authentic for Tuscany and was just perfect to catch up with old friends. The staff was very friendly (including the owner) and the service was excellent. I had a salad with grilled chicken and my husband had a dish with wild pork. Italian food is usually too heavy for me but this was wonderful and my husband raved about his also. I can't speak for dinner but it was a good value for lunch. Hope to return here if we ever get back to Austin.

I have been to Siena on a couple of occasions, and decided this was noteworthy after the second visit. The ambience is terrific, and the food is delicious. I recommend sitting in the loft if you are able to negotiate stairs. The only mark I give against them is that Siena tends to be finicky with their bread offerings. So, just ask for the bread when you waiter arrives as they won't offer it... The menu states it is part of their Eco-friendliness -water conservation plan.

Siena is located in a charming old house. We went for lunch and sat on the terrace. Both the cuisine and service were excellent and the value was excellent. We split a berry salad, unusual but very tasty, and also split a chicken piccata with spinach. Plenty of food. Very relaxing atmosphere and extremely competent waitstaff. Looking forward to going back and try some other dishes.

Celebrating an Anniversary with dinner at Siena was a good move. Everything was as intended--good service, delicious food, a good wine list and attentive service. While paying as much for a glass of wine ($13) costing almost as much as the cost of an entire bottle, one expects a restaurant of this quality and caliber to be on the pricey side. Those white tablecloths ain't cheap! The décor of the building brings to mind an Italian villa, open and airy. There is also a full bar on premises. Our meal, including appetizer ($16), small plates ($9) and sides ($5), along with 2 glasses of the aforementioned wine ran us over $100 for two. For me, it's a once in a while splurge, but the food was worth every cent. Recommended for that special Romantic dinner or Celebration.

I was very upset with tonight experience and I will never be returning to this restaurant again. First of all I want to say at that there was no management that I saw that did any sort of walking around the tables talking to the guests making sure that they were enjoying their meals. The manager is not ProActive at all and just sat behind the bar doing a couple things and did not seem to take care in running a tight ship. The only thing I saw him doing was helping out the bartender a little bit but I never saw him leave the bar to walk around a dining room when I was drinking my wine before being sat. I was sat at the table with my family it took about 10 minutes or so before anybody came to art able to speak to us. That is a huge no no when it comes to steps of service in the fine dining restaurant industry. I should have taken that as my first queue but we had somebody we're waiting on so I could not just leave the restaurant. After we have to talk to the bus boy in Spanish to get a server to come over one came over immediately during our conversation with the busser. I ordered appetizers which were tasty but the temperatures tasted like it was sitting in the window for a good 10 minutes or so but we were so hungry so we just ate it and it still tasted pretty delicious. We ordered muscles. My son's spaghetti carbonara was tasty but pretty peppery. When my first course came after the muscles I was served the sausage and bean soup. Flavors were great and spot-on but again temperature was locking as if it had been been sitting for good 10 minutes. My wife's salad was pretty good but my wife ask for dressing on the side. Apparently the kitchen did not read the ticket properly because both salads that came out for my wife and my guests were very soaked in dressing. We had to send those back as well as my soup to get everything correct on our order. Next our entrees came and everything tasted wonderful but my plate was described on the menu as the following: “Trota con Scampi Walnut crusted Rainbow Trout with sautéed shrimp in lemon garlic butter on roasted potatoes and sauteed fresh spinach” To be honest this dish tasted like it was battered with whatever seasonings were in the kitchen in a metal pan. It tasted just like pure butter. I was not able to locate any potatoes on my dish. The dish was very Bland and I think the chefs just rushed it on-the-fly and did not pay attention to what had been done or something because it was just soaking and a good half stick of butter. I sent the dish back and let them know that I was not going to order anything else because I hate to waste food. The service itself was five star but unfortunately Google cannot give us the option to rate the service based on just the server themselves. The head chef needs to figure out what is causing all these bad reviews. There is a lot of negative reviews on service and food in recent weeks. Social media is a very powerful thing and they need to understand that.

Excellent food, service and decor. The exterior is reminiscient of a Tuscan villa and the interior continues the motif. Surrounded by beautiful pictures of Tuscan scenery including a nice view of the piazza in Sienna created a wonderful dining atmosphere. Our, entrees included grilled salmon, chicken and pasta with shrimp. All of the dishes arrived in a timely manner, were served at the right temperature and were all very good. The service was attentive without being intrusive and a good time was had by all. This was my third visit for lunch and I have been pleased each visit. Once again, good food and good service in a wonderful atmosphere. Almost felt as if I was in Italy.

My husband and I just loved this restaurant. The Wild Boar appetizer is amazing and an item that should not be missed! We have been several times but I especially love it during the holiday season when the already beautiful setting is decorated for Christmas. I caution people not to expect what everyone usually considers Italian food. This is rustic and hearty and very delicious.

We recently discovered this restaurant after living in Austin for over 20 years! We love Italian food and have traveling to Italy in the past. This restaurant is located in a fairly convenient place for those who love in north west Austin or NW suburbs. When we first walked in, we were transported back to Italy. The interior is very reminiscent of old world buildings found in Italy. There is a full bar, where we sat and had a pre-dinner drink. We were pleased with their beer and wine selection and I was thrilled to learn that they carried Grappa! I acquired a taste for this post dinner digestive drink while in Italy and Siena is only the second restaurant that I have found who carries it in the Austin area. The wait staff is knowledgable, polite and professional. The food was excellent! We really enjoyed the figs and asparagus salad as appetizers. I had a seafood stew, which was fresh and tasted amazing! My girlfriend had a pasta dish, which she loved. We really enjoyed our meal at Siena and we are glad we found this place. We will be returning several times a year!

The food was exceptional as well as the service. Friendly staff. Great wine selection. So many choices for entres but our final choice was a winner!! Will definitely be back!!!

Had the occasion to entertain a group of customers for an evening reception. We met Rina the general manager, and immediately could feel the passion she had for what she does. The lounge was quaint and inviting with a cozy fireplace, and was well attended by locals. We had a private room in back with pre-selected appetizers and the like. Greg and Nancy our servers were very attentive to our guest needs and requirements. I look forward to returning.

Eaten here a number of times -- always on business. Cordial greeting but clearly very busy at lunch. Seated and served but didn't feel attended to. Staff used to regulars who know what they want: Simply order takers, no discussion on specials, slow delivery of food, small portions and forever wait to pay.

Very pretty setting, perfect for a special night out. Good Italian food, interesting drinks. We went with a large party and were happy with the service and food.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant and totally incredible food!! We enjoyed a marvelous lunch of "Trota Con Scampi" (Walnut crusted rainbow trout with sauteed shrimp in lemon garlic butter on roasted potatoes and sauteed fresh spinach), and "Pappardelle alla Cinghaiale" (Hand cut fresh ribbon pasta with slow roasted wild boar shoulder ragu), both of which were incredibly flavorful and wonderfully presented. We finished with a shared serving of "Panna Cotta" (Vanilla bean custard, peach coulis, honey crisp lace, pomegranate-quince white balsamic, and fresh berries). What an incredible lunch! We will certainly visit Siena again and recommend it highly.

This upscale italian restaurant in a strip center on 2222 at 360 will transport you the minute you walk in the door with the stone walls and high timbered ceilings. The menu is very classic italian, nothing too surprising but done very well, with sauces that are rich but not overbearing. A large wine list has choices at almost every price point. Perfect for a date or special occasion.

Our family in Lakeway has shown us some very good restaurants in west and north Austin. Siena Ristorante Toscana is one of them. We have visited this restaurant 3 times the latest years. Always wonderful Italian food. This time Carpaccio, Tagliatelle and the best Tiramisu. I have ever got.

In town for a wedding, my generous friends took me out to dinner here last Saturday. We had a fantastic meal. I started off with the "Fricassea con Granchio e Porri" which is lump crab meat served on a portobello mushroom with sautéed leeks and sundried tomatoes and it was DIVINE. Then I had the "Salsicci" pasta which was perfection: Italian fennel sausage in a slightly spicy tomato sauce on wide, flat noodles with just a smattering of goat cheese. The bread roll that accompanied our meal was delightfully yeasty and perfect for sopping up the sauce. Service was very professional. We were seated in the upper balcony, which I would heartily recommend as downstairs seemed quite noisy. In all, I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of food served. I would defintiely come back here again.

Austin isn't known for its Italian food but this restaurant is top notch. I highly recommend this place for fans of Italian food. It really was the perfect meal. Best Italian in Austin.

Has always been a favorite Italian restaurant in town. They've changed the menu a bit - removing the option of ordering a small or large portion of pasta which was something I really liked. Service has always been pretty bad, still the case. The servers are nice, but never very knowledgeable. And just not on top of things. An unfortunate the trend in austin. This is not a town of professional service. The restaurant is quite pretty. The bar scene full of regulars. TV generally tuned to sports. I had the shrimp capellini which is quite bland. Shrimp quality wasn't what you would expect at a restaurant of this caliber. Started with the fig appetizer which is always good. And meat and cheese board which was also really nice. Amazing olives. We will go back, but perhaps not quite as regularly. This is turning more into a convenient location stop rather than a destination for us.

We had a party of 4, food suffers, not impressed, but the wine was excellent; they didn't make it. Loved the interior design... not sure what the fuss is about the food quality; no need to cover each food item, all bland and over cooked, dry...service good, but very stiff.

Siena- a beautiful room with spectacular food and outstanding service. Great cocktails and a creative approach to wine (fun events, get on their mailing list!) transform Siena from fine dining to "local" fine dining. Lunch is great value- dinner is always special but not too formal- you can have fun here too! The building has it's own story- a great ambiance and worth the drive from downtown. Honestly- one of my favourites in Austin- I am loathe to share it!

I really think this is the best Italian food in Austin. The service is great and it is so pretty. Take the time to check it out!
Tuscan style food with local ingredients
Outside it looks like a Tuscan villa. It is in a small mall next to a busy highway, but don't let that put you off.Inside you are transported to Italy for dinner. The chef uses as many locally sourced food products as available and has an organic garden next to the restaurant and offers what is seasonal from the garden. We have had great servers and the management pays attention to detail.Great wine list.Fresh homemade pastas.Delicious sauces. Good sides. Nice bar area. Outside seating. It is about 15 minutes from Downtown, but worth a cab ride.
