We had reservations for 8:30 and we promptly seated. Our server never introduced herself but did ask us if we wanted a cocktail. It arrived promptly and she asked for our order. We told her we were in no rush and to please let us enjoy our drink. No more than 5 minutes past and she rattled off the specials and asked for our order. We asked for a caesar salad split and then our entrees. Again, no longer than 5 minutes past and our salad and bread arrived. She then passed by and I said "I hope our entree does not come out quickly". She then said it was ready. I was not happy as I don't like to be rushed at a "fine" restaurant. It came out 2 minutes later. I was not 1/2 done with my salad. She never came back to ask if everything was ok..she just disappeared. She did came and asked if we wanted another cocktail which we told her no but needed more water. She never came back with it. I could go on..but needless to say we stayed in this "fine" dining establishment for less than 45 minutes as we were ignored and rushed. I don't believe in paying over $45.00 per entree plus ala carte items and drinks and being rushed out in less than 45 minutes. We love this restaurant but won't be returning to this location again. The service left a sour taste in my mouth..as did the food when I had no water to wash it down with.

Cool, setup with dining on the top floor. Would have been nice if the staff would have greeted us as we walked in the door. Waitress was very nice but lacked knowledge of the menu. Drinks were totally worth the purchase but food did not own up to its reviews.

Ate with friends for dinner and not one of us was pleased with our entrees. One had ordered a wedge salad and complained about the freshness of lettuce to the server. Two of us had eaten at this location before and we're really surprised by the very poor quality of food. The coffee was lukewarm. The other couple reguraly eat at the one on New Braunfels and we dine at the one on 1-10. We decided never again for this location. It had a strong fishy smell.

We held a birthday dinner for my 80 year old husband in the "Board Room" here because it is always one of our favorite restaurants. Our experience was beyond what was expected. Our server, Eric, was attentive and very helpful. We had preordered starters and they were served as soon as we indicated that all our guests had arrived. We ordered from the menu and yet all ten salads and then entrees arrived at exactly the same time even though there was a variety of foods from scallops to steak. Eric was patient with our younger guests and very pleasant with the adults. To sum up, we had a wonderful experience on this special occasion. Good food and wine with great service in a beautiful atmosphere.

Love the Grilled Atlantic Salmon and the Chicken Fried Oysters! Great friendly service. Had a little confusion regarding our reservation - they gave our table to another couple. We had requested a window table. But they did a great job of fixing the mistake. :)

This is my second visit to Silo while traveling for business. Booked a private room for dinner and it was fabulous. They were so easy to work with and the price fixe menu was perfect. Had fried oyster nachos, bruschetta, and duck spring rolls as passed appetizers. They were a hit. Pork tenderloin with poblano Mac n cheese was amazing and so was the halibut special. Everyone loves their food. Coconut cream pie and chocolate mousse were the perfect ending to a delightful meal. Excellent wines and server David was spot on. Not pretentious but so attentive. Highly recommend dining here for a pleasant experience that is not overpriced.

Came to this location of Silo during Culinaria (a week-long celebration of local restaurants and cuisine) and had the prix-fixe dinner, which included three courses (with a choice of entrees) for $35. I had roast pork with sauteed greens and green chile mac and cheese (one of my favorites, off the menu for too long), and it was delicious. Other choices were salmon or fried oysters. The starters were a choice of Caesar salad or shrimp grits, and dessert was a raspberry cheesecake that I couldn't finish. Service was friendly and attentive and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Parking is easy. I can recommend Silo@1604 enthusiastically. Reservations would be a good idea on weekends or other busy evenings.

Pecan crusted chicken was very tender and delicious. The food was hot and the service was very good. Our drink glass stayed full at all times. We will return with more friends. You will not be dissapointed at this restaurant.

We celebrated a birthday at this restaurants and enjoyed an amazing dinner. The restaurant specializes in Seafood. We each had salads, and a different seafood entree for each member of our party of four and we shared three sides of vegetables. The ambience, service and cuisine were terrific. They also have a nice selection fo wine. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Silo is am amazing restaurant with great food and lovely atmosphere. The service was wonderful and we enjoyed every minute of our visit.

I had dinner with a couple on December 23, 2016 in the middle of the week. The room was so dark I had to get flashlight out of my purse to read the menu. The other friends were using their iPhone lights. The appetizer of a three cheese plate was cold instead of being at room temperature. I had conversation and wine with my fellow diners hoping for the cheese to reach room temperature. I finally gave up. The " house" salad dressing was not good with the lettuce in the salad watery with a few tomatoes. The main course of Fried Oysters was excellent but the side dish of asparagus was terrible. The stems of the asparagus were as big around as my thumb, so I had to cut off the lower stems to make the dish edible. There is no reason a chef should serve asparagus with such huge tough stems. Especially at the prices of this location. The service was great but the entire meal was a disappointment. i would not recommend this location. I have spoken to others in San Antonio who have the same opinion.

Friends drove the 20+ minutes out of town so we could enjoy Saturday brunch. Two restaurants here, same owner, we went upstairs to Silo. The dining room is very nice, staff were great and food was good!

This is where I take my wife when I want to splurge for a find dining meal. The service is first class, and the food even better. When you go, you should really try their "Chicken Fried Oysters". Outstanding!

Definitely one place to fall in love with. Great service, great food, great feel. Very discrete and cozy. A place to enjoy a romantic dinner or to share with old friends. The sea food is superb!

This place has an upscale atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food. We both had spinach salads. They were very fresh and a good size. Fresh raspberries and lightly fried brie with bacon and a nice amount of vinaigrette. Not drenched at all. We both had daily specials. Mine was red fish done to perfection. So many flavors and textures going on! It was wonderful. My husband had the lamb chops. They were cooked to his liking and delicious. Both meals were nice portions. This place is a very nice change to the usual San Antonio fare offered. Oh... and the bread! Excellent mueslix bread and a cheese bread. Both homemade and yummy! We will be back. I highly recommend this place. The chef creates fresh, innovative dishes that are sure to please.

This was the 3rd experience at Silo. Very good service and food every time. Overall a solid date night spot. Could be good for a small group. 8 or leas. Staff was professional and polite. Will be back when I visit the area agin.

Enjoy a delicious this evening. Restaurant offers a evening club with a live band plays great 80s 90s music. Food was delicious.. give the lamb a try it was superb

Service and food is excellent. A bit expensive. The restaurant is guiet and intimate. Very romantic atmosphere.

We had a very pleasant dining experience and had the opportunity to experience some unique dishes for dinner. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was intimate and quiet. The restaurant is on the second floor and is great if you would like a nice quiet dinner for two. I would highly recommend the restaurant for a date night or to celebrate a special event.

Silo on 1604 lived up to its reputation - - delicious food, superb service, elegant atmosphere! My eight guests & I absolutely loved our scrumptious Easter Brunch meal! We look forward to a return visit! Thanks to restaurant manager, Scott Cargill, & our server, Chris, I had a wonderful, allergen-free meal, which adhered to my medically-strict dietary regimen.

Ordered one of my "previous favorites" Shrimp and Grits..... dinner consisted of 3...yes, three, medium shrimp with the grits. More of an appetizer than a main course. A disappointing "snack" for a dinner price. May think twice about going back.

The food was excellent, The helpings were plus sized so two people could eat off one side. The entrée's were more than enough.

I've been to the other Silos many times, but decided to try this one and it is now my new favorite. The atmosphere is more warm feeling than the other one and felt more romantic. My scallops were some of the best I've ever had. The waiter let us order a pizza from Nosh for my son, which is connected. The bar area is triple the size of the other one and includes a lot of pool tables. I would love to go back and stay in the bar area. The service was incredible. My husband said that his old fashioned was amazing. Will definitely be going back soon!

I held our company Holiday Party at Silo because I ate there with my husband once before. The event planner Robin was extremely helpful and responsive given I was from out of town. The private room was decorated beautifully for the holidays and the service we received from the wait staff was fantastic. The price fixe dinner had nice choices and everyone on our team appeared to enjoy the meal and ambience.

Silo is one of my favorite restaurants! Their cocktails are always top notch. Ambience is warm, inviting, very romantic! Not an overly huge dining area, intimate and quiet! Food offered is always delicious and beautifully plated. Their are known for their chicken fried oysters and they are delicious! Salmon is great. The wine selection is top notch. You won't be disappointed if choosing Silo for a fine dining experience!

Had brunch with a girlfriend on a Sunday and my sister on her birthday. We ordered from the the Prix Fixe menu on both occasions. The food service and of course champagne was outstanding at an excellent price. Will return many times to come in the future. Shrimp and grits was amazing.

Out of the way from down town. It is located on the second floor of a strip mall. But it was worth the drive. Dinner exceeded our expectations. Service was very efficient and we were not rushed

My aunt, my wife and I grabbed dinner there last Friday night. The atmosphere is really nice there, and the wait staff was excellent. The spinach salad was as good as I’ve had anywhere, the fried oysters were great, and the salmon was tender and tasty . The halibut special was equally great. We’ve never been to this restaurant before, but will definitely plan on going again next time we visit San Antonio.

The ambience is excellent and the service is commendable. The food is very picturesque. A lovely meal. However, the food was incredibly bland. I kept waiting for the flavors to hit me. Contrary to the appealing menu that makes you want to try everything, once it hits your palate, expect to be disappointed. For the price of this place, I have much higher expectations. Enjoyed it, but would not return.

The title says it all. We were in San Antonio from the Rio Grande Valley from noon Wednesday through Sunday brunch, when we left for a wedding in Corpus Christi.. We had discovered Silo Elevated on 1604 a year ago and loved it. This trip we had lunch twice, dinner once,a and Sunday brunch. Each meal was outstanding, and my house wine and my wife's gin & tonics were very good. Our server three times was Suzanne, who was excellent. Hard to believe, but she remembered us from four months ago and asked my wife if gin & tonic was still her favorite drink. The fish specials at lunch were terrific, the chicken oysters at brunch were quite good, and the desserts were to die for. It would be difficult to choose between the coconut pie and the chocolate souflee if you were eating only one meal there ... so go back. One more thing. The decor is fabulous, and the mirrors give the place a unique twist.

Came here for dinner with group of about 8. The manager was very cooperative and gave us a separate room in the back. The staff was very well coordinated for a perfect pleasing service. Everything was amazing and the food was great. The lights were dim to the occasion perfect for a steady and smooth dinner. Can't go wrong with the fish plate which was aromatic and tempting. The drinks menu was also superb with nice selection of wines on the list. The ambiance was pure lavish and luxurious with beautiful chandeliers added to its decor. The location is perfect for a night out with friends or any special events or parties. A Must try out and definitely Recommend !

This is a small but intimate restaurant located near the Rim shopping center in north San Antonio. The service was good, and the food was even better. This restaurant also has a "nice" wine list to accompany any of your meal choices. We were seated next to the wall of windows while the sun was still up. We felt it was too bright and it did get a bit warm. Next time we'll request to be moved, although the view was nice. The fried oysters are still fabulous like always but a bit on the "small" size. My husband generally orders off the "daily special" menu and is never disappointed. Nice happy hour and pretty patio seating, when it's not hot outside. Great for a cool evening with friends. All in all, we've always enjoyed our dinners here.

We went for Lunch/Brunch last Sunday and we had a great experience, everything from the beautiful restaurant to fabulous food and the excellent service Edgar our waiter gave us. We will be back over and over again, Loved it!

It was an amazing experience from the service to the food, it was tasteful and the presentation just spectacular. I definitely recommend this place, especially if you want to make a special occasion out of going out to eat. Overall 5 stars!

We came here to celebrate our daughter graduating medical school and were very impressed by both the food and the service. Our server, Lori, was fabulous, and all the dishes were so tasty. I especially loved the poached egg over a huge crab cake that was not all breadcrumbs or fishy in any way. The toasted coconut pie was to die for. They gave us a private room for the 6 of us which was deeply appreciated.

Silo Elevated Cuisine - 1604 has beautifully prepared up-scale dining. The staff is outstanding with equally outstanding menu items. Honorable mention is given to Erik. Erik was absolutely wonderful and made for an exceptional dining experience.

We had brunch here with a dozen friends and ate in a private room. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. I had the shrimp and grits and it was really good. The warm bread was also outstanding. I would eat here often if I lived here.

The chicken fried oysters are famous here, but everything on the menu is good. Excellent service as well. The restaurant is upstairs from the bar and you will need to take an elevator to reach it.

Very substantial parking, handicap and regular. Entrance for restaurant well marked separate from bar. Elevator takes you to dining level where you're met by host/hostess and taken to table. Waitstaff very well versed in procedures. Menus provided w/wine list. Good salad options as well as wines. Staff very well concerned of customer. Staff quietly observed needs of diners w/o imposing. Meal very well prepared, desert wonderful, w/exceptional aperitif. Great evening. Shawna was wonderful.

I pulled up to an unassuming shopping center and almost didn't even go inside as the place looked empty. Little did I know that the restaurant entrance has an elevator that goes upstairs to the actual dining area. Down stairs evidently is some sort of bar that was not open yet. I had the chicken fried oysters which are supposed to be their specialty. They were interesting, but nothing special. I then had the sea bass with pork belly fried rice. This was worth my entire dining experience there. The fried rice was amazing and the fish was perfect. I would for sure return. Service, taste, and decor were all perfect.

First time at Silo/1604...and modest expectations for a strip mall restaurant were totally surpassed with the elegant decor, delightful service and fabulous food. The fixed priced dinner menu offered enticing options with reasonable prices. The specials for the evening were first-rate gourmet cuisine. We will return!

We have dined and entertained at all three SILO's and have had superb experiences every time. I would not recommend another restaurant as highly as SILO. Nothing compares for consistent, excellent quality, service and atmosphere. Just the OVERALL BEST!!

Restaurant Week highlights the best with fixed price chef’s choice. Silo was disappointing. The soup was bland. The rice pilaf felt slightly undercooked. The rest was good. Alas the service was mediocre. For example, the server asked how I wanted my chop cooked less than five minutes before it arrived. What would she have done if I’d said pink? My husband loved the cheese cake but I didn’t care for it. Speaking of dessert, the table beside us ordered the cake. Two huge slices arrived piled high with whipped cream, so much they took one home, so we asked to split one and take the other home. Our slice was small and cream flat. The raspberry drizzle was overly tart. Our take home slice even smaller than the shared slice. The server never asked if we wanted coffee. When they didn’t have the drink I wanted, she didn’t offer an alternative. We felt like they were dismissive because we ordered the Restaurant Week offering rather than off the pricier regular menu.

Started off at roof top bar with appetizers. Great view and service. Dinner served family style. Pork tenderloin. Two types of fish veggies and two pastas. Good salad and a pesto goat cheese course. Dessert fluffy cheese cake. Service top notch and beautiful facility. Definitely would go back

This is the restaurant that we go to when we need a staycation. Lol!! The atmosphere is elevated and the service is always amazing. Everything is Delicious. I recommend the Oak roasted pork tenderloin. There is a Green chili mac & cheese that compliments the tenderloin that you will be thinking of days after you leave. We love their Sunday brunch menu. The crispy duck spring rolls...yes please. The crab cakes...yum. Great salads. The wedge salad is beautiful. Oh and the spinach salad is my go to. To top it off try the Toasted coconut pie...perfection.

We have eaten here many times and have had consistently good meals. The specials are good, as are the side dishes. Try the fish.

My wife and I went with three others for a celebration of our 60th wedding anniversary. The idea of the silo restaurants is a word play on excellent food served on the second floor...originally of an old silo. Anyway, the beautiful interior signaled the beginning of good service, knowledgeable wait staff, and fine dining. We were well pleased and recommend it highly.

Silo knows how to do it right! No matter the dish the meal always lives up to the task and the taste. A great meal is always embellished by a prefered beverage and a dessert! Enjoy!!

We held a business dinner at Silo tonight based on reviews that they offer gluten free options as well as vegan options . We were seeking a fine restaurant that could accommodate dietary needs for our group. We had a nice private room with a round table that fit all 8 of us. That is the only positive thing I can say about my dining experience. Our server was arrogant, uninformed, and unhelpful. When my colleague asked about vegan options, he said the only one was the quinoa dish or a salad (with cheese removed). When she asked if the pesto sauce on the quinoa dish was vegan, he didn’t know (it turns out it’s not), so her only option was a bowl of quinoa with vegetables and no sauce, and a salad with the cheese removed. She asked if there were any vegan sauces she could have, he said no and didn’t offer to check with the chef. I have severe gluten sensitivity, and when I inquired which items could be made gluten free, he was clearly annoyed and wouldn’t (or couldn’t ) answer my question. When I tried to ask him if the salad dressing on the beet salad would be safe for me he treated me like I was being a huge pain. Some vinegars contain gluten so I never assume dressings are gluten free. He was being such a jerk about it that my colleague explained I had an allergy to try to get him to understand the severity of my reaction. I asked if the Chilean Seabass could be prepared gluten free and again he was extremely condescending and didn’t answer my question. I asked specifically if the risotto was safe, and he said “you tell me”. I explained that I had no way of knowing what was used in the preparation of the risotto. Some broths are not gluten free, for example. I asked him to please check with the chef, but he was unwilling to do that. When he was taking the dessert order I asked if the coconut cream pie was gluten free because it has a macadamia nut crust. He said no, even though I read a review that said it was. I did not feel safe or welcome at this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone who is vegan or requires gluten-safe options. Or anyone who wishes to be treated courteously for that matter. I am attending a large company meeting with thousands of my co-workers at a nearby hotel. I will be letting our meeting planners know that this restaurant should be removed from the list of recommended options.

We dined here tonight and one word.. Delicious! I had the Tuna special and my husband had Pork Shank.. Shared the Calamari to start.. The wait staff and management were very accommodating and pleasant. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time here. Started with a couple of apps and mixed drinks. The Cumber martini is delicious. Wine list is good with several options according to price. I had Shrimp and grits which were delicious. Spouses steak was outstanding, salads were top notch. We were celebrating so we had the coconut pie for dessert, very good. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Not a cheap place, but great for a special night.

My wife and I were there for dinner and we were not impressed with the food nor the service. We ordered ribeye steaks but unfortunately the quality was not good, too much fiber. The sides were tasty and well done. Their wine list is a bit expensive, higher markup than the usual $$$$ restaurants. Service was very very slow, the low point of the night. On the other hand, lunch is great! Well executed entrées and soups, prompt service, good value.

truly a very tasty cheese platter to start the evening off. along with the CRISPY DUCK SPRINGROLLS Shiitake Mushrooms, Asparagus, Peppers, Scallions, Carrots, Cilantro, Mint, Glass Noodles & Hot Fanny Sauce. the caesar salad was just the right amount. the asparagus was grilled to perfection. the BELGIAN ENDIVE Frisee, Bosc Pear, Candied Walnut, Cambozola Cheese Sherry Walnut Vinaigrette & Port Reduction was beyond tasty. and the jumbo lump crab cake was a meal in itself! desert was Belgian Dark Chocolate Mousse fleur de sel caramel, cocoa nibs, clover honey chantilly cream. I walked away happy and weighing about 5 pounds more than when I walked in. Service was amazing!

Had the chicken fried oysters - they were tasty. They were served with spinach and pasta. I really liked the pasta - it was seasoned well. This was on the fixed price menu. Had good mimosa too. The spinach could have used a bit of seasoning. My waiter was very good - Von.

Interesting, unique restaurant with good food and atmosphere. Went for family dining (with adult daughter) and we all agreed we were happy that we tried it.

We went because its close to my sons house. It was a pleasant surprise! The restaruant is well decorated, the food was well done and sevice was good, overall a good experience and worth a visit!

Wife and I chose Silo for our Wedding Anniversary lunch and we were not disappointed. The entire staff from the hostess to the servers were friendly and very professional. The food was top notch from the chicken fried oysters appetizer, Salmon, NY Strip and the strawberry sorbet. Definitely worth a visit!

Well-presented and well-prepared food. For a nice location like this, I expected less hustle and bustle..

We love this restaurant and take friends on special occasions of which our anniversary and a birthday were such times...Food was good but the worst service I have ever had even in a 2 star let alone a 5 star. I was embarrassed as I had really talked up this place...so 6 people will not be coming back for a good while. Waiter didn't ever refill drinks, or bring more bread, did NOT acknowledge the birthday person, did bring us a dessert menu and then charged us for the complimentary dessert. We had to have all 3 tickets re done due to being over charged..and was sad our friend didn't get a treat.....I asked the hostess if the dessert for anniversary etc. was a treat and she said yes, but we were charged $9.00. The food here is amazing, but the poor service and over charging left us all a might questioning if we will go back.

We went there on a Friday night with reservations for a pre-graduation dinner. This is a sister restaurant to Nonna, which is downstairs. There were 3 of us and the wait staff was great. Great ambience, quality, and value for price paid, though still a little price. We walked out of there spending about $400 for 3 with drinks.

This restaurant is located in a small shopping center off 1604. The offer free valet parking. Staff warmly greeted us as soon as we walked in. She showed us to our table which was ready for our 7pm reservation. The restaurant was fully booked- but not noisy. Tables were well spaced. Wait staff introduced himself and handed us menus- a four course dinner only is offered this evening. Wine and liquor selections were enough to satisfy most preferences. The course selections were also varied sufficiently to suit most tastes. Our starters were chicken fried oysters and crabcake. Both were fresh, sweet and tasty. We enjoyed our roasted beet/arugula and poached pear/blue cheese salads. Mains were beef tenderloin and roasted duck breast with foie gras. Both were perfectly cooked- tender, juicy and delicious. Chocolate mouse dessert was the perfect end to this fantastic meal. Service was excellent. Staff gave us ample time to get settled in and go over the menus. Meanwhile, water and warm bread were place on the table. Timing between courses was just right- not rushed, not too long a wait. Dishes were cleared and wine/water were topped up as needed. We will definitely be back.

We went to Silo for dinner and everything was amazing. The staff, the food, the atmosphere, all of it was stunning. We ordered the crab cake appetizer, for entrees we had the fried oysters and also the pork shank. We finished with a dark chocolate mousse. We will be back!

This place is wonderful, excellent service, delicious food, great atmosphere. We will certainly go back again for a special date night.

One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Started with a cool touch where they gave a choice of a fresh sliced fruit for your water. Cool. Then, had the seared ahi tuna appetizer that was outstanding. Then, on to the spinach salad with raspberries and fried Brie...wow. And finally, the main course... I had the special of the house, chicken fried oysters with spinach and pasta. The oysters were huge, perfectly fried, and had a fabulous sauce on top. The whole meal was incredible in a superb atmosphere. I’ll be back!

Top tier! Came for a work dinner and we reserved a room in the back. Good spot for a large group and nice to have a designated server; and ours took care of us well. He was attentive, lively and informative. The food was REALLY good all around. We grabbed several appetizers and all were so good. We got the chicken fried oysters, crab cakes & duck spring rolls and WOW, I was blown away at the duck spring rolls! For lunch we did Prix Fixe lunch coming with a salad, entree and dessert. I grabbed a Caesar salad to start which was average and missing flavor and may be the only miss of the night. I moved onto a NY strip cooked medium rare and it was incredible! It came with mashed potatoes which were decent and I subbed the green beans for the Green Chili Mac N Cheese. Let me tell you, that Mac was bangin! It was a little surprising bc it’s made with elbow noodles and visually looked basic - but once I tasted it, the flavor was amazing! Wow! Lastly, for dessert I grabbed the chocolate mousse and it was wonderful; light, flavorful and a nice button to this meal! Such a good experience and meal and I’ll be back.

Have been patronizing this restaurant for 15 years plus. Consistently great service and great food at value based prices.

Silo has become our "celebration place of choice". For the past three years we have celebrated our anniversary there. Not only is the food outstanding but the service makes you feel very pampered. Tonight it was Rylan who took very good care of us. He was attentive without hovering and a delight to talk to. At the close of our dinner he presented us with dessert and complimentary champagne in celebration of our anniversary. We will absolutely be back for special occasions and with out of town guests. This place is perfect. Thank you Silo.

I had a party of eight for lunch. Received a phone call from the restaurant to confirm the reservation and also asked me for anything special. Found that amazing in itself. Asked for a bilingual waiter. Also explained it was a family birthday. Arrived to find a private seating area with the most incredible waiter (David). Incredible service. Good was outstanding from the salad to the steaks. This restaurant deserves the 5 star rating.

One of the best restaurants in San Antonio. Prepare yourself for a culinary experience. Anything on the menu is great!

An upscale restaurant. Far from San Antonio center. Good service. Recommend the fixed price menu. The salmon was great. One of the best I had.

My husband and I came here for our Anniversary lunch and would come again. The staff was professional, polite, courteous, and made sure all our needs were met. We both had lunch from the Prix Fixe Menu (Salmon and NY Strip) and the food was cooked perfectly. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great cooked meal.

Best lunch I have had in two years! Butternut squash soup was to die for and the chicken fried oysters were fantastic! Cool place and I highly recommend

The restaurant is truly "upscale dining" White tablecloth. Their China is world famous Bauscher. Possibly the only restaurant in San Antonio with it. Our waitress was very well trained. Her presentation of the specials was first class. When I ordered a glass of water with a slice of lemon the another waitstaff brought a silver tray with; sliced lemons, sliced limes, sliced cucumbers, AND sliced grapefruit that was delicious. It was Sunday and I ordered the $24.00 brunch that included a salad ,entre', and dessert. A real good value.I chose their popular chicken Fried scallops and eggs benedict that I would order again and again. My dessert was a perfectly done coconut cream pie. To Die for. Next time I will try ( drum roll please) their chocolate mousse, WOW . All six of us agreed Silo is a beautifully decorated dining experience at very fair prices

This is a fine dining restaurant with a lot of talent. The decor is good. The service and the food here are excellent. All of the salads are good. The steak, Salmon, all well prepared. They substituted vegetables for us with no fuss. Would love to eat here more often.

We went to this place as part of a business dinner. The menu was scaled back for our group so it was not the full menu. The venue was cool. But the food wasn’t the best I’ve ever had. That said, it wasn’t terrible. Staff was friendly. All in all it was okay but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.

What a fabulous restaurant , the service and everything about this place was fantastic, all extremely professional . Not cheap by any means but did not feel at all ripped off.

Last week, we went to Silo to celebrate my father's 80th birthday! The food was wonderful but, I have to say that the service was EXCEPTIONAL! Thanks for making his night so special!

We normally go to Silo twice a month for lunch. Usually good but service tends to be a little slow. This time ridiculous. Sat down 1:30 waitress didn't come by with water till 1:45 finally took order. We waited and waited had to ask bus service help for more water. Also, commented to help that waitress was not paying attention. Restaurant was only a third full at the most. Our waitress finally showed up after I complained to crew cleaning table that we had been waiting for an hour this was 2:30. Silo has open kitchen and I could see cooks were just standing around since we were the only table without food. Waitress told us our food would be right out. We waited till 2:45 finally food arrived. After I complained I noticed kitchen staff started to move on our order. There was no manger in sight the whole time even hostess had left. We ordered just from lunch menu nothing special. Should not have taken so long. Burger, salad, salmon. Food as usual good but not worth the wait. So aggravated by the time food came could not enjoy it.

Today is my wife birthday and my daughter and I decided to treat her with a delicious meal at Silo by 1604. Ther server was amazing, she did her best to make us comfortable as much as possible, however, the Chef of the day, not only made her uncomfortable but made me think how much he really cares about the customers. I have food allergy and the chef told the server to have me pick a different meal, so he don’t have to do make a meal that requires him to make an extra effort. This must be a new chef because it never happened to me before. Actually, it never happened to me, ever. First time for everything I guess. My wife and daughter felt awkward, I felt awkward, I really felt sorry for my server. A good chef keeps the back area clean and be prepared to serve ALL customers who would like to dine in, at anytime. I give 5 star for the server and I take back 5 star for this Silo to hire this chef.

Silo is a really pretty restaurant, we went for early dinner and ordered the prix fixe along with two cocktails. The drinks took a while but the waitress explained the bartender was new. I ordered the salmon which came with a side of risotto, it was delicious. My husband ordered the pork tenderloin which was overcooked. Their bread and dessert was delicious! The meal was enjoyable but rather expensive, $105 before tip. Nothing was so outstanding that would warrant a return trip.

They are a little pricey for your "everyday" meal, but for special occasions, they cannot be beat. Sunday they have the BEST champagne brunch. Also, we always have our office Christmas Party there. The food is excellent.

Excellent service. Great bread, delicious spinach salad with fruit and brie, very good pan roasted chicken and vegetables. My husband loved the calamari. Would highly recommend.

Keller Williams Realty hosted a lunch at Silo and it was excellent!! The servers were very attentive to our water glasses, empty plates, etc!! The food was excellent. I enjoyed the Caesar salad & signature chicken fried oysters which were perfectly cooked. I had a chance to try the grilled shrimp and pecan crusted chicken which were also great! Ended our lunch with the cream brûlée. Highly recommend this spot for lunch or dinner - can’t wait to bring my husband!

I had a business lunch (approximately my 10th this year) at Silo (Rte 1604 location) and have yet to be disappointed. The service is outstanding as is the notable lunch menu which is varied and quiet interesting. Additionally, the venue is well laid out, light and open---perfect for a lunch meeting and dinner. Finally, I have ordered a number of different lunch entrees off the menu and each one has been cooked perfectly.

Could find nothing on the menu I would even remotely eat so I got a glass of tea and just watched my companions eat. Never been back

In San Antonio for one day we choice to have a lunch at this place. The service was very good and professional, the food was very good, we took the "Prix fix" menu and enjoyed it, our NY strip steak was cooked at perfection and the Bearnaise sauce was really good it don't came from a pouch like almost everywhere. The atmosphere was good and I recommend this place to anyone who like good food. We need to try the dinner.

I have visited Silo on many occasions and have never been disappointed until today. We have always eaten at the Alamo Heights location, knowing that it is a sure bet on fine dining and great service. Today is my mom's 72nd birthday and we wanted to share the wonderful experiences we have enjoyed in the past. From the moment our waiter appeared and began becoming impatient and sarcastic with my mom, I knew we were in trouble. Maybe he is having a bad day, we smiled and let it go. After all, we are celebrating right? So we order our food, ignore the looks the waiter is giving and patiently await for it to be brought out. I ordered a moscato for me and an old fashioned for hubby; mom settled in on tea. She asked if it came unsweetened , which apparently this is the first time this question had been asked based on the attitude and demeanor of the waiter. I requested straws as Covid is still alive and well, although given the straws it was with annoyance. A lot of time went by, close to 40 min and bread was finally brought out. It would be another 20 minutes before we saw food, which we didn't have a problem with However, instead of food we were told to have our grandson turn down his tablet, which 100 percent could not be heard over the loud chatter from the two small dining rooms directly behind us full of people or the people talking all around us in the restaurant. Would they be asked to speak lower? The announcement that we had several complaints about "said tablet" was given to us by Mikayla, the manager. My family was both embarrassed and perplexed at the same time. We could barley hear the conversation at our own table, so there was no way anyone heard a sound from the tablet. Again, we decided to let that go. Finally, the food was here after another 15 minutes went by. We were hungry so this was most welcomed and highly anticipated unfortunately, instead of hot food, we received a hot plate adorned with Luke warm salmon and cold mashed potatoes. The French toast that mom and my grand son ordered could have been placed in a glass and served as ice. Not only was it cold it was just toast, the French were definitely left out of this one. This is where we drew the line. I spoke with Mikayla and she did her best to make it right. The question is, why was it wrong? It was obvious that the food had sat in the back and lost its heat. They say revenge is a dish best served cold, iI would venture to say this restaurant knows a thing or two about that.-

We have been going to Silo on 1604 for years and it has never failed us, the quality of the food is always very good, they have fresh ingredients, fresh produce and great tasting meats and poultry. Servers are professional servers not college kids without experience, they know how to pour wine and they know what is available in their cellar. Most people who go there are picky eaters and know their wine. Highly recommend it.

I had been meaning to try Silo for several years so I paid a visit for Culinaria's Restaurant Week. I really liked that they included wine as part of the deal. The food was okay to good, the portions were very tiny, and the service was mixed. It took a long time for us to be greeted once we were seated. When the sever did greet us he was friendly and apologized for the wait. We both ordered a glass of wine since it came with the meal but the server only brought one glass of wine because he didn't hear me order mine. That would be fine but my meal automatically came with wine so why didn't he ask what kind I wanted regardless of if he heard me say it? A very obvious training issue. The meal was tasty but not memorable or particularly filling. I enjoy 'fine dining' that provides a satisfying meal but Silo is more 'fufu-leave-hungry-fine-dining' which I'm not a fan of. Probably won't be back.

Great place for business dinner. Waiter was very attentive. Food was great! I had sea bass and it was cooked perfectly! I would definitely recommend!

We usually go to a steak house when we want a special meal. I decided to make reservations at Silo for a change. We have eaten there before but it has been a while. I'm glad we made the change. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is nice. They offer a variety of different entrees which give you different options. My husband and I both chose from the specials of the day. I had red snapper. It was cooked just right and the sides with it were yummy. I cleaned my plate. Husband chose a park chop special which he really enjoyed. I also had a spinach salad and my husband had a Caesar salad, both well prepared. No dessert for us because I had baked a pie that day. The only issue was when we were first seated we were next to the kitchen and it was too noisy for me. We asked to be moved and were given a table next to a window where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset as we ate. This wa a great place for our 36th anniversary.

I've only had business meetings there but the food and service is excellent. They are kind and patient with their customers.

A great experience as restaurants try to resume some sort of normal. We were greeted by the hostess and she was very appreciative that we decided to dine in. They have converted the downstairs bar to a Nosh, like the Alamo Heights location. The wait staff were also appreciative for our return. I had a nice spinach salad to start. As a twist there was a panko crusted fried piece of Brie cheese. Both the cheese and salad were excellent. I opted for the fish of the day special. I was a piece of Snapper, nicely grilled over a bed of sauced pasta and green beans. Service was impeccable and the food was excellent.

We had dinner here with a fabulous couple /friends of ours. It was our first time at this restaurant and I have to tell you its at the top of the list for San Antonio now, the food it was just amazing, the chef I have to say is one of the best, we ordered fish and fish is do easy to mess up and this had to be the best piece of fish I have ever had at any restaurant period. The ambiance is very romantic and quiet, this is s must visit if you want good food and a quiet place!!!

I took my wife to Silo for Valentines Day. As usual the service and food were superb. I had a special, Rack of Lamb, which may have been the best I have ever had. For dessert we shared a chocolate mousse. Delightful evening.

I have eaten at this restaurant four times and I’ve never been disappointed. This time I had their chicken fried oysters as an appetizer. I’m not a huge oyster fan but these were delicious. I then ordered the beef filet, medium. It was cooked perfectly, pink in the center and very tender. The bearnaise sauce was a perfect addition. It’s a bit pricey, but well worth it. I highly recommend.

My wife and I stopped here after a long day of travel to San Antonio primarily because the location next to the Loop Road was on the way to our hotel. We were pleasantly surprised in that the atmosphere, the service and each course of the meal exceeded our expectations by a wide margin. To start, we shared a spinach salad that had a tasty, but not overpowering dressing. For entrees, my wife had the duck and I had the lamb chops, both were cooked exactly as requested. We ended with the apple cinnamon bread pudding - absolutely delicious! We would heartily recommend this restaurant to others.

There slogan speaks the truth in more then one way. The food and experience here is amazing. I had the scallops and they just melted in my mouth. The mashed potatoes complement them perfectly.

Good parking ! Very good food ! Good Service ! Very clean and organized in their service I highly recommend Silo Restaurant 1604

Four of us enjoyed an outstanding evening at Silo - the service was excellent, food cooked as requested and we enjoyed a relaxing time visiting. The wine recommendations were spot on. A new favorite that we will return to!

excellent service great food great welcome some come every few min come and do we need any thing is every thing ok

Had dinner here recently.. Not only was the food just superb but the staff were as good as you could wish for .. I tip my hat to Dimas and to boss man Wes who was happy to help colleagues clear tables .. a task many would think are beneath them .. He was just great .. with sorting wine for my better half and some ice cream tasters and dessert wine for myself.. you guys made all the difference. For the record we had steak and salads .. the former perfectly cooked and accompanied by the best mash I’ve ever eaten .. honest !! We had coconut pie for dessert .. amazing… If you want one very special meal here in SA .. I wouldn’t hesitate to suggest Silo .. It’s that good . Comes highly recommended.. Enjoy !

We had a wonderful dinner celebrating an anniversary. Service was excellent as always. Food was also excellent. When we were seated we were asked if this was a special occasion and I said yes. This resulted in a free dessert and the manager stopped by to chat. We normally eat here for lunch, but I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner, brunch or special occasion. Atmosphere is great.

My daughter and I had a rare evening together and decided to enjoy fine dining at Silo. David our server...the best. The food.....delicious Try the duck, scallops, lamb, chocolate souffle Gluten free....not a big deal for this chef, thank you for that! Extra special evening with my daughter....perfectly executed by Silo Thoughtful server...ah, yes again, that would be David

I have gone to Silos for years. There are three locations but I think this is the best and most consistent. I have frequented this Silos for dinner meetings and social events with family and friends. It is always very good to excellent. Our recent dining experience was for our anniversary with family. Unfortunately it was a hot humid San Antonio summer night and the restaurant was warm. A table for 5 should always be round so conversation can flow easily but this did not happen. Luckily we had David who is an excellent attentive waiter that did his best to make us comfortable. I wish more San Antonio restaurants would allow patrons to bring wine and then charge a corking and decanter fee. The wines offered are from excellent wineries but when I requested an expensive wine from Hall it was not Kathryn or Jacks Masterpiece but a commercial restaurant Hall wine at an expensive price. Very disappointed ! David presented multiple appetizer and dinner options not offered on the standard menu .There was a red snapper special that was ordered by two people but to their disappointment the kitchen was out of this fish at 7:30 PM and offered a halibut as a replacement. They totally changed their order to salmon and crab cake. The salmon was supposed to be wild but appeared and tasted like farm raised. It was cooked medium and was slightly dry but was nicely plated with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was good. The crab cake was nice size and was all crab with excellent texture and taste. David brought us a beautiful complimentary cheese plate with three different cheeses, honey and almonds. This was a nice touch. The port wine was a perfect complement. Overall it was a very good meal and dining experience but was not excellent as is usually the case. This is still one of San Antonio's best and most consistent restaurant .

Nice evening dinner with my wife. Tried to make a reservation online through their recommended app, but no weekend night reservation spots showed up. Called, and there were plenty of openings. Some glitch in the system. Though the restaurant is on the second floor, the primary hostess is supposed to be on the first floor to greet. No one was at the station when we arrived. Waited for a few minutes and made our own way upstairs not knowing what the protocol was. The hostess upstairs seemed a bit confused. They did have our reservation and we were seated fairly quickly despite the confusion. Wait staff was perfect throughout the meal. Cocktails were pretty good, and food was perfect. Overall, an excellent meal.

We had a party of seven to celebrate a couple of birthdays and I cant begin to describe how wonderful everything was. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, service was outstanding. They made sure to bring out everyones food all at once. Shirley was our server and she was awesome. The food was all very well well prepared and just delicious. I cant say enough good things about Silo.

Great restaurant! The restaurant is beautifully designed, has a modern design and elegant. When we arrived, we were seated on the second floor, the restaurant is two floors, the second floor has the tables for dining. The food was excellent, I had the prime centercut ribeye, which tasted magnificent. The dish was also beautiful, well adorned, aside from tasting great it also looked great. The dish came with potato gratin and sautéed asparagus, everything was cooked to par. I highly recommend the green chili mac and cheese, which also tasted great. The green chili tasted authentic! We also ordered, cocktails, I had the elevated margarita, which I was not a fan of. Although, I like spicy food and the fact that it had jalapeno triple sec, the taste was not good, I ended up taking a sip of the cocktail and not finishing the rest of it. On the other hand, my boyfriend had the Harvest Mule and this cocktail was great! It was sweet and relaxing, you couldn't taste the alcohol at all and the taste reminding me of Christmas. I highly recommend this cocktail! In addition, we ended up getting desserts, I had the Belgian Dark Chocolate Mousse and my boyfriend had the Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee, the deserts were ok, I would not order them again. The Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee tasted as if it was refrigerated and thrown in the oven quickly. But aside from this, the entrée dishes were great! The environment is great, beautiful restaurant and the prices are decent, not bad for the quality and taste of food we had, definitely will be returning.

Love coming here.. great elegant upscale restaurant that you can get dressed up and enjoy an amazing meal with a huge selection of wine. Tried many things.. salmon, pork tenderloin, chicken oysters... all delicious!!! As a family we come annually to celebrate the holidays. My husband and I come a few more times to celebrate our anniversary and just because. They have a 2- course pre-fixe menu (appetizer, entree) and can pay minimal more for dessert. We are always stuffed!!! Have come only a few times for lunch--- prices are more reasonable in the same elegant setting. Another good thing is that you don't have to fight the traffic and hassle of going downtown.

Pass on the ribeye. There are so many better places to get the ribeye than here. If you really want the white cheddar scalloped potatoes, ask for them as a substitution or another side. Go with the scallops which were amazing.

Beautiful dinner for two, wonderful ambiance, delicious food from Amazing appetizers and Spectacular Seafood & finish with a Classic dessert selection....

I made reservation using Open Table and this was first visit to the restaurant. The service was amazing and food wonderful. We started off with the chicken fried oysters and both my wife and I had one of the specials of the evening which was the surf and turf consisting of a steak and scallops. The steak was cooked over oak fired grill and had that great wood cooked taste. Our server Luke was top notch and was always there if needed and checked on us but not in that every 10 seconds annoying way. My wife had the chocolate souffle for desert which was rich and delicious. I have nothing but good memories of the meal.

We went on a weekday night. Decided to get appetizers. The mussels were horrible. They made them out of a cream sauce which made no sense; could not eat them and sent them back. Second dish was Foie gras which was undercooked. Sent back and when it returned, there were at most three bites. We left after that.

All four of us ordered off of the pre fix menu. All great. The service was great. Wonderful venue for friends to meet for a nice dinner.

I thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at this restaurant. Jordan was our server and was attentive and nice. I ordered the Grand Marnier French Toast. It was delicious, however, not sure they needed the Grand Marnier noted as we didn't taste it. The coffee was rich and good. The only thing I would say was getting to the actual restaurant. It's upstairs via elevator, and you have to go into the oyster restaurant downstairs to access the elevator so.....confusing.

Good food but they never change there menu in so many years. Quiet during the week but more crowded on the weekend.

So- my husband and I went last week and had the classic cluster *+#% of a restaurant that is ALMOST awesome - and is priced at AWESOME- and were whatever the difference between those two are... We returned- one week later.... everything honestly was yummy except my snapper ceviche which I have had and loved 3 times before... I am sincerely hoping I am not up with the hurls through the night. It was not today's ceviche- if they say it was- then it was not yesterday's snapper..,, I live for ceviche, I make ceviche - this WAS NOT FRESH ceviche. However- of you want the best cocktail in San Antonio- order their Corpse Reviver........

Excellent food, varies from quiet to noisy. Varied menu, all items are at least very good. Service excellent.

We love going to Silo on Monday nights. They have great wine specials. The wait staff is very knowledgeable and always make great recommendations. If you get there early you can enjoy the pre-fix menu. The duck egg rolls are amazing and my husband loves the steak.

Without doubt the best food we have eaten here. Booked on a busy Saturday night so the atmosphere was good. Everything I had was exceptional - cheese board with Texas honeycomb, rack of lamb and then a cheesecake that we had to share to finish. Great wine list. Waitress was superb.

The menu is great and the wine selection is a good complement. The food is excellent and the service is even better. Hadn't been here for a long time and very happy to say it's still a great place. We will return sooner this time and we definitely recommend Silo!

Had several nice meals here usually Mother’s Day Brunch. Silo has a varied menu and pre fixe menus daily as well as holiday offerings. Costco sells Silo gift cards 20% off. Never had a bad meal or service at any of their locations

My wife and I were in San Antonio recently and had dinner at Silo 1604. Great Place! We had arrived later on a Sunday evening and the service was excellent despite coming late in the day. We shared two appetizers. The baby spinach salad with brie was wonderful as was the duck spring rolls. My wife had the salmon, I had the club steak. Couldn't have been better.

Silo is our favorite restaurant for an intimate dinner or to celebrate a family event. Food is always delicious and the service is always very gracious.

Had dinner at Silo last night to celebrate my 14th wedding anniversary. My hubby and I were treated very well and the food was delicious. The waiter started us off with a celebratory champagne toast. He was on top of everything and never left us waiting for anything. I think dinner at Silo may become an annual anniversary tradition.

Mother's Day reservations made before Easter; arrived 15 minutes before time; passed on Valet parking; ample close/handicap parking; hostess @ elevator confirmed reservations & we entered elevator to dining area. Met by 2nd hostess who led us to our table. Mother's Day menu superb. Shawna, our waitress was outstanding. Tending to our every whim. Restroom facilities were very clean. Our party of three would stronglt recommend this place for anyone for any reason. Well worth the trip.

Our food was delicious all around from salads to beef filet and 32 oz ribeye. Our waitress provided exceptional service as well. The serious problem with this visit was the "nasty" attitude of the receptionist on Sunday evening of August 11th. Our reservation requested a very quiet table in a corner due to hearing disability in 3 of the 4 diners. She first attempted to seat us at a banquet adjoining another table with another table behind us!! When I nicely asked for a corner table for 4; she made a scowl and humpf noise like it upset her personally. A minute later when our hosts arrived; they asked for the opposite corner hoping it would be even better if not near the kitchen. I understand the hostess's frustration..but keep it to yourself young lady!! No disgusted face or eye rolling please!! If you had noted the request due to hearing disability, maybe we would have been seated with consideration. Then halfway through our dinner, in a half empty restaurant, this passive aggressive little girl" hostess, seated a family with a 2 yr. old son that walked in crying right next to us!! Are you kidding me??? And of course the parents did very little to stop the screaming & crying. Our conversation & pleasant evening halted due to this noise! I am extremely disappointed in this hostess's behaviour and believe management needs to train her properly. Older patrons deserve respect especially if they made a special request!

My husband and I visited here last Saturday night for a belated Valentine's dinner. The ambiance is wonderful and service was excellent. My husband ordered the crab cake and shrimp dinner with pasta, which both of us agreed was delicious. On the recommendation of my daughter, who'd eaten there, I had the shrimp and grits. The four good-sized shrimp lay on a tiny amount of grits swamped in an overly sweet, sticky jus, which overpowered the small amount of everything else in the dish. There were probably three small forkfuls of grits with a few pieces of chopped spinach mixed in. Oh, and I did get one bite that had a little heat, so I assume that was a morsel of andouille sausage. When I described it to my daughter, she said that the shrimp and grits she had was nothing like it. My husband pointed out that I had ordered from the prix fixe menu, which may have made a difference. If so, then I would suggest not ordering that particular dish from the prix fixe menu.

Joel, our server was absolutely the best server. Very professional and yet, fun. He treated my Mom, who was the birthday girl, like his own mom. And the food was perfect! High marks for the pork tenderloin, spinach salad and coconut pie! This is truly a special place where you can treat yourself!

This restaurant was for a very special occasion. They were very responsive and the service was great. We were served in a very good amount of time.

This restaurant continues to provide excellent service & absolutely delicious food!! My friends & I truly enjoyed ourselves. Again, restaurant manager, Scott Cargill, ensured my special dietary needs were met. Thank you, Scott.

Invited our daughter for dinner, and usually this restaurant is fool proof. Disappointed that downstairs bar being converted to another eatery, were hoping to have some wine prior to our dinner, but it is what it is. Appetizers were flawless, totally recommend the oysters and the duck soft rolls. Oysters so good decided to get them as entrée also. Not a good decision, the condiments were different and the character of the dish did not compare to the appetizer version. Daughter had the Sirloin, it was well cooked and quite good. Wife had a lesser experience. She opted for the rack of lamb, medium rare. It was prepared after she was served the wrong entrée,, and it was most certainly undercooked, perfect for an Aztec ritual but not for human consumption. We had had a couple of wine bottles and she was ready to go, thus we took it home and I will finish the cooking at home. I am sure I will enjoy it. Great ambiance, great service overall .Most likely will be there again for dinner.

Best restaurant on !604. Great Service.ir price for what you receive, House specialty is chicken fried oysters.

This place starts with great service and concludes with great service in the middle is some awesome food. If I lived in San Antonio this would be my brunch place without question.

Good food, little pricey for dinner, and its not a casual place (more dressed up and formal, great place for a date)

We went for dinner and it was amazing. The service was phenomenal, the food was delicious and the desserts were to,die for. It is certainly is worth the money.

Celebrated wedding anniversary here and loved it. My waiter recommended the Halibut and, boy was it delicious. This is a nice romantic restaurant. No need for salt or pepper because the food was seasoned to perfection.

Great service! Good food! Even better prices! They brought me a selection of citric additions for my Pellegrino water and I am bummed I did not take a picture of the lemon, lime, grapefruit and more choices. They were pretty enough to eat! The bread crusted brie in my spinach salad was just the perfect addition. My salmon was cooked perfectly. I did not add the dessert to my lunch but my husband said the chocolate mousse which he added to his for $2 was excellent.

Not too many places we've been to have been a 5 star, but this one easily wins one. We went on our anniversary and the service and food was simply outstanding. We started downstairs at the bar for a drink and that was an indication of things to come. The Chicken Fried Oysters were wonderful. Dinner was outstanding! I had the pork shank and my wife had the lamb shank. Mine came with green chili cheese grits, sauteed spinach and Texas Goat Cheese. Both of our main courses fell off the bone. The staff were on target and our water glasses never went empty! They comped us glasses of champagne and fruit. We topped it off with a nice cream brulee'.

We were looking for a special place for a large intimate family gathering on a Friday evening ... Silo was perfect. They booked us in their large event room adjacent to the main dining room. The glass doors while keeping out the noise allowed us to enjoy the excellent ambiance of this fine place. The food and exquisite service was everything we were hoping for. While some may feel this place is pricy, I thought it was an excellent value for the quality service for fine dining we received. My thanks to the hostess for accommodating us at the last minute, our wait staff for their excellent personal non-intrusive service, and the chef and kitchen for their excellent dishes and perfect timing in having all our meals simultaneously prepared to perfection. It was a treasured and perfect evening.

My husband and I decided to try Silo out on a whim. The 1604 location. We got there around 6pm on a Saturday. We were lucky to get in. You really need to have reservations for this place. Salads were excellent, and our meal was excellent. Service was great as well. Love the rack of lamb and salmon. Atmosphere is relaxing. This is one of our favorite restaurants now. You really need reservations here. Also, be prepared to spend $$$$ on food. You won't be disappointed! We will be back! Our compliments to the food staff.

Went to Silo for a family birthday party. First the party room we used was very nice. The appetizers were awesome. Especially, the ahi tuna, chicken fried oysters and crab wontons. I had a rack of lamb special that was some of the best lamb I have ever had. My wife an on menu item-duck that was also awesome. Many members of the family had steaks and enjoyed those as well. The also have a reasonably priced wine list and a long list of interesting cocktails. Service was excellent. This is great place if you want something other than Mexican cuisine.

We went To Silo for the first time and we are so glad we did! The food and service were amazing. I had the Halibut and it was delicious. My husband had the Sea Bass which was also great. We had the coconut pie for dessert and it was YUMMY, worth every calorie. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone. One note, there isn’t a bar at this time. It’s under renovation. I don’t know when it will reopen.

Ive been to this restaurant a few times ,The food was good but not exceptional . The enviroment was good not exceptional . I would say its an acceptable but over rated restaurant

This was our 1st time. We enjoyed the specials - pork chop, red fish and lamb chops. All cooked to perfection and generous portions. We also had the calamari and seared ahi for appetizers. Service was good and lots of parking.

Took my parents for a celebratory birthday lunch. We had appetizers, salads and entree that were all very good. The ice and water with your choice of garnish was very good as well. It was a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant wasn’t too busy. Definitely a nice restaurant to enjoy a relaxing meal.

Saturday night. Located in a strip shopping center, parking is very easy. Valet is superfluous, which explains why the valet guy seemed so bored. Salads were quite good--whether Caesar, spinach etc.--but our entrees didn't match the quality or presentation given the prices. Salmon--good. Pork--good. Chicken--dry. And please add sides more creative than mashed potatoes and carrots. Our chocolate mousse and creme brûlée desserts were OK but no different than anyone else's. Kudos to very attentive and pleasant service. Unfortunately, just nothing memorable about the meal that would make us want to return.

Have only been here for lunch in the upstairs dining area. Nice atmosphere, conducive for a lunch business visit. Food and service is very good.

We have been at the Silo on 1604 many times. The food, atmosphere and service great as always. We love the foie Gras and the duck. The chicken fried oyster are also a must to try. The wine list could be improved with some good wines at reasonable prices added. Mixed drinks are the best.

Great spot to treat clients to a lovely and relaxing lunch. Excellent service and quality food. Well maintained

This restaurant is very good at taking a reservation but they don't know how to hold a reservation. Good thing I called to confirm the reservation I had made two weeks in advance before loading up the office for a holiday lunch. Had to scramble to make other plans at the last minute.

Being a longtime fan and patron of Silo 1604, I was eager to arrive and curious to sample the black angus burger. It has been my experience that fine dining restaurants can often elevate the burger to a high art form with the use of high quality ingredients and creative prep techniques. Boy, was I wrong here. This burger was dried out and overcooked (even after a careful admonition to please not exceed "medium - juicy" level), but even worse, the meat had an unappetizing "off" odor to it, and, even worse, it contained fairly sizeable bits of tough, hard-as-a-rock gristle that I had to somehow choke down to avoid making a spectacle during my business lunch. And I am talking about multiple gag-inducing bites of the inedible gristle, not just one. What a surprise - truly one of the least appetizing burgers I have ever been served, from a restaurant that has always been a personal favorite. A very disappointing meal.

The food and service here are always excellent. Salmon, steak, oysters, the sides, salads and waitstaff are excellent. We are especially fortunate when we have Laurie wait on our table. When one thinks "timing is everything" think of Laurie. Perfect timing every time. Desserts are very good as well and a terrific value on the lunch Prix Fixe menu. The entire Prix Fixe menu is excellent and a great value.

Often when you need to schedule a meal for a large group, you end up with a buffet or only getting to chose from a couple of items...At Silo's on 1604 they have private rooms that will easily seat up to 50. Sunday we had a group of 29. We ordered off their 3 course menu at only $22 each.No need to tell them in advance what your group wants. Each person get a menu and places their individual orders. Having scheduled many events for large groups, this is by far the best. Never one complaint on the food or the service.....

Took an out-of-town guest here to celebrate her upcoming book releases. Luke's service was impeccable as always, not only the epitome of professionalism, but genuinely kind and informative as well. My duck was cooked as requested and was delicious. Broccoli was crunchy which was nice since as we all know it is an easy vegetable to overcook in a busy kitchen. My favorite side, the blue cheese gnocchi, continues to delight. We had a side order of the oysters which I highly recommend. Breading is light and crisp, the sauce pairing perfectly. My guest - who lives in a landlocked state - thoroughly enjoyed her crab cake and side order of scallops. Though the dessert menu had many tempting offerings, we selected the chocolate tart. The fresh cream, rich dark chocolate, toffee crust, and caramel drizzle melted in the mouth providing a graceful close to our meal.

Nice modern decor and ambience marred by employee running a vacuum cleaner didnt make me feel special. Tough "med rare" steak. No pink. Delicious asiago bread, goodish dessert. Prices moderate.

We have been coming here since they opened. Normally come with a family of five for a weeknight dinner to relax. Great food and great service. Prix fixe menu is excellent for families.

Silo has the type of food that leaves you dreaming you had more. Every bite is so savory! Our server truly went above and beyond for each of our guest!! I can’t get enough of this place!! 10/10 recommendation to everyone!

My wife chose to elevate with Silo on Loop 1604 for her birthday. We scheduled a luncheon for family and friends this past weekend. Where should I start? The experience was wonderful. Communication and scheduling was a breeze. The staff was fantastic from beginning to end. The room was used was beautiful and elegant. The menu choices were perfect and best of all, the food was delicious. All our guests were pleased with the variety and flavor of the dishes. Overall, it was a memorable experience for the entire birthday party. I promise, You will enjoy this restaurant the same. Thank you Silo for everything.

My wife and I had lunch on Friday and were surprised that so many of the dinner items are available. I had the braised short ribs with buttermilk mashed potatoes and green beans. The ribs were fork tender and the mashers were light as a cloud, absolutely delicious. My wife had the pork tenderloin which had a great charred crust. I was very tempted to get the chicken fried oysters. The best part was the very reasonable price for everything on the menu. If you haven't tried The Silo yet, this is a great way to get an introduction. The chef and staff were first rate.

Great ambience- modernly sophisticated but not stuffy. Great service- friendly and engaging servers and the food was delicious. A work colleague recommended this place and they were spot on. I want to try their other locations. They had a great wine selection.

The setting is very elegant but you don't need a coat and tie to go in. The food is exceptional. I have been numorus times for business meeting with doctors and people you want to impress.

In town for the weekend. Wife wanted to take me out for a great birthday dinner. Picked Silo because the photos showed white table cloths and felt it would be upscale. Well. No white table cloths, but some of the best food we've had in a long time. Service was friendly and courteous. Our server had a great way of describing each item we asked about. Tough decisions. Red Snapper and Crab Cake were as good as we've had anywhere. What really finished off the experience was that we had wonderful attentive service from out waitress, without being intrusive (which we find almost everywhere else). Thank you Silo. Made my birthday.

We have eaten there three times. The food is good, the menu selection is above average. The prices are high end and the wait staff is polite but overly formal to the point of being stuffy and aloof. We found the atmosphere, in the upstairs dining room, so stuffy and the staff acting so formal that it was irritating and impersonal to the point of being rude. I mean these are waiters who act like you are imposing on them. However, on the third visit, we elected to eat downstair in the less stuff bar. It was great.
Wonderful presentation
Unusual for San Antonio, this busy spot off 1604 feels like a private club, but has room for meetings, too. Interesting and beautiful presentation, friendly staff, great food, and for what is offered, a great price. I've been to this location seven or eight times, and have never been disappointed. I have tried many dishes, and all of them have been good. If you want a quiet dinner, business lunch, or meeting in the meeting room, this is your place to impress everyone.
