Very pleased

Since we were celebrating my birthday on our weeklong Vegas trip we decided to try the Silverado Steak House since it was within walking distance to our hotel. Their service was outstanding. The service team was very attentive and surprised me with a birthday dessert and hand signed birthday card. My filet mignon was Excellent. As with most steak houses everything is served ala carte.

Excellent

Excellent food, service and drinks. Portions were large and the house salad is the way to go for starters. Prices in line with others. Good Promotions.

Great Steak at a reasonable price

By Jackie C |

We had a dinner special that included 3 courses for $29 and bought a bottle of the wine of the month for $20 - which turned out to be very good. The service was pleasant and attentive. Great atmosphere and quiet enough that you could actually carry on a conversation. We plan to go back!

Anniversary Dinner

By Michael K |

This was one of the best Steak Houses I have ever been to. The service was 5+ Stars. The food was Amazing and my wife and I shared and still had lunch for the next day. Honestly I can not say enough good things about the Silverado Steakhouse. Just bring your gold calf because it's not cheap. But worth every penny. ENJOY!

Silverton Steakhouse

By Terry L |

Been here twice now, top notch service, never rushed. Lots of staff to support the main server. I loved the rib eye and filet mignon both times. Asparagus cooked perfectly. Wine is expensive but reasonable for the Vegas market and level of restaurant.

Service was great but steak was lacking

By Jason T |

Treated some family here one night and although service was great, their idea of a good steak is not up to par with other steakhouses. Ordered the blackened ribeye and the steak was overcooked and barely had any char on it. I guess they just kiss the grill and throw them in the oven for a short time. For $273 I expected more. Least to say after this meal we didn't order steak at most restaurants as they are all overpriced in Vegas for what you get. Paid $100 to eat the buffet at Ceasers and their steak was 10x better and it was their buffet!

Great Steak

By Phillip D |

Ate here my first night at south point, it was great. It is very hard to find a steak house that can cook a steak well done and get it right. This one can, I will be gong back on my next visit.

Worse customer service ever!!!

By Noor G |

We went for a steak meal on 25th nov 2021 at 8.45pm...the waitress who served us was very vague ....no explanation of food menu as to what was included in meals...we had to ask and reply was short and her manner was very rude....like sorry we asked....steak only came with baked or mashed potato...which i guess is usa style not uk ...so fine....steak was superb...although again service was not....table being cleared after one person had finished....very strange we thought as if we were being rushed lol....anyway we finished meal and ordered desserts and was not even half way through dessert when bill was presented to us...may be time was 9.45.... not even ordered coffee to finish our evening ? i thought this was very rude and spoil the whole visit....needless to say we will never use again and have advised all our friends no to visit....this meal was nearly $200 so was not cheap and we would expected to be treated with respect...shame as steak was very nice

Great place to eat. We eat here every time we are visiting people in Vegas which is a couple of times a year. The atmosphere is special. The service is great. The food is over the top. We had a salad, a filet, and baked potato. It was prepared perfectly.

Best steak in Vegas

Dinner

By Robert |

We love this place and eat here at least once during our stays in Las Vegas. It is old style dining. It is quiet and elegant. Their filet is one of the best. You begin with a hand-tossed salad, tossed at your table. The servers are always making sure your needs are taken care of. It is one of the few places that we look forward to on our travels

Great meal served with class old Vegas Style

By Doug |

This is a great restaurant in a quiet atmosphere with a great staff. The prime rib was cooked to perfection and served with garlic mashed potatoes. Our salad was tossed table side and served before the entree. Little pricey but for an experience you'll remember try it at least once.

Heaven on Earth

Everything was impeccable, the food, the service, the ambiance and even the comfort factor of the seating. LOVE THIS RESTAURANT

Romantic, Great Meal and Service

By Lance2002 |

We dined here on New Year's Eve so the menu was fixed as was the price. The dinner was $70 per person which included a bottle of red or white wine. We had to wait about 20 minutes for seating which can be expected for the evening. We were seated in a booth where we could view the entire restaurant. It was a 4 course dinner for the night. Because the waiter brought out the wrong appetizers we got 2 each. One of us got a salad for one of the course and I had oyster soup. I had never had this type of soup before and did not know what to expect. It had a tasty broth and one oyster in it. Our choice for the main course was rib eye steak. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. We could not finish the steak because we wanted to save room for dessert. Our server and his assistant were very attentive. Overall, we felt special. They even let me take the unfinished wine back to the room.

Great Value - Will Return

By David W |

We were very impressed with the Silverado Steakhouse. Both of us have worked in the restaurant industry and are sometimes a little too critical of restaurants. Nothing to criticize here. FOOD: My wife had the Line-caught wild King Salmon. Being from Seattle, we are somewhat leery about ordering salmon away from the NW. This was cooked just right and tasted great. My lamb, ordered medium, was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. We both enjoyed the salads tossed table-side as well as excellent desserts. There are three other entrees on the menu I want to return to enjoy. They even offer a couple of Italian entrees from the Italian restaurant next door. SERVICE: The wait staff was attentive and well-trained; but, they neither hurried nor interrupted us. We had a bottle of white wine which was kept chilled in a table-side ice bucket and our glasses were kept full. I had just made a comment to my wife about the service saying they had done everything one might expect except for brushing our bread crumbs off the table. Just then a staff person came up in expectantly and did just that. COVID: The placement of tables and closed booths allowed generous social distancing. Everyone wore masks. I observed a bus boy turning a table and everything, including chairs and salt & pepper shakers were wiped down and sterilized. A new table cloth was placed and everything else was new for the next guests. We felt very safe. VALUE: The prices were in-line with most other steakhouses; however, unlike many steakhouses which have a la crate menus, at the Silverado the a salad and vegetable are included with the price of the entree. We had two complete dinners, a bottle of French wine, two deserts, two after dinner drinks, and two cups of tea. All this plus tax and a generous tip were $200.

Outstanding food, service and value

By PBC7 |

I've eaten at many of the big-name steak places in Vegas and I'd put this up with any of them. The service lead by Michael was fantastic even for a party of 7. The wine list is very good and fairly priced. The salad was cold and crisp and the bleu cheese dressing terrific. I had the NY strip and it was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Colleagues had the onion soup which I tried and it was very good. The Bisque smelled great. Filets were cooked to each individuals taste and done perfectly. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great meal and atmosphere

By gramashari57 |

We did not dress up and felt very welcome. Our server, sorry I do not remember her name, was great. She had many recommendations. My husband had the lobster bisque and she brought a sharing spoon. I enjoyed the tasting. It was amazing. My husband the 14oz New York Strip steak. I had there special Sea bass with Caesar salad. The whole meal was great start to finish. The service and atmosphere was everything an upscale steakhouse should be.Our bill with drinks only $124

Dinner with a friend

By julie197042 |

I consider myself somewhat of a foodie, so I decided to try this place out. The service was average as I expected a bit more. I ordered the filet mignon with creamed spinach and my steak was not cooked at the temperature I ordered the spinach was watery and luke warm. The atmosphere was very loud and at times I felt as if I couldn't hear my friend when she would speak to me. Unfortunately, I will not return to this restaurant.

Enjoyable dinner!

By Ejpjap |

Place was crowded on a Tuesday night. I had the filet and thought it was good. Wasn’t the best steak of my life but wasn’t the worst. Service was good. Nice atmosphere.

Good food, a classy dining room and wait staff

By msteeler2 |

Very nice place to eat at the South Pointe. I believe they share a kitchen with the restaurant next door as the menu was very similar. Nice place to get dressed up a bit and take a date.

A steakhouse for those in the know

By Steven G |

This elegant restaurant is located in the South Point Hotel. This is a Hotel mostly for locals, but they get a mix of tourists, too. The service, seating, decor and menu are all first rate. It can be stacked up to the finest steak houses in the world, yet the prices are moderate when you consider what you get. Entrees come with a salad and choice of potato or side dish with a delicious selection of rolls. The wine selection is unique and the house wine of the month sells for $ 20. a bottle. Sit back and relax in this mahogany wonderland and let a great wait staff take care of your order. Mine was the triple filets in mushroom sauce with baked potato and salad tossed at the table. My wife had the giant Pork Chop which was excellent and our tab for two was $75. + tax & tip. This wasn't our first time here and it certainly won't be our last. For a fun time and a great meal try this place and you'll save 50% over an equivalent meal on the Las Vegas Strip hotels.

Delicious steak with great service

By Arlin F |

Had the bone in ribeye and baked potato and was cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Would recommend to try if you are around the area.

Traditional Steakhouse Does It Perfectly!

By porsche74s |

We had occasion to eat at the Silverado inside the South Point Hotel, and it was perfect in every way. The food was outstanding, and so was the service. When the hotel has eleven different restaurants, it's as if the various ones all have a competition to see who can be the best, and the effort really shows in our experiences at the South Point. These are some of the best restaurants in all of Las Vegas, and we'll be returning any time we get the chance.

We went to Silverado Steakhouse

By Clyde B |

We went to Silverado Steakhouse in the Southpoint Casino for dinner one night and I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and the good food. I had the bone in ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly. It was pricey as you would expect from a casino steakhouse but we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The side dishes were good , the food was prepared exactly as ordered and the service was truly attentive. I would return!

great food and service

By Tommy C |

Silverado Steakhouse in South Point Casino great Steaks and service all in Hotel/casino setting defiantly worth a trip to the other end of the strip!!

Great 1st time experience here! Great Steak & Service!

By Melissa L |

Our server Glen was very attentive and provided great service. He was professional and very nice with my husband and I. Also his assistant Eleazor was very friendly and provided great service and even took time out to help me practice my Spanish. They provided a memorable experience. Highly recommend this place and the restaurant did a wonderful job hiring these two great gentlemen. This was our first time here and they made the experience a good one. Thank you!

Food is Slipping

By mplstravel |

In my opinion the quality of food is slipping. I had the 8 oz filet. It was barely average; it had an odd flavor, like butane. While the prices were fair, there was nothing about our dinner that would motivate us to go back again.

amazing !

By William s |

ate here on our first night in vegas and could not have been happier . collin our sever was fantastic , advising us through the meal , he was attentive and friendly . salad table side , i had filet with mushroom sauce , she had short ribs , creme brulee . everything was great . silverado is a old school steakhouse at about half the price of other places we looked at . we'll be back !

Dinner

By Todd H |

I have had dinner here many times but this time was terrible. Poor slow service with the restaurant 1/4 full. Ordered my filet med/rare and it was a full medium and luke warm at best. The server never checked on me until I was 3/4 done with the steak. Usually they check back within 3-5 minutes of serving. It took them over 15 minutes and I told them “the steak was killed (over cooked) forget it, I’m fine”. I will notify management. See the pics...

Great meal

By DR11440 |

Had reservations and was seated immediately, good start. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, very meaty and tasty. Probably the best cocktail sauce ever, horseradish in there was very good. Dinner included filet, slightly overcooked, but still very good, baked potato which was hot and cooked well. Will go back there next time in town.

The Best!!!

By redshoes50 |

Hi Everyone! Happy August! We visit Las Vegas often and always end our trip with a visit to this wonderful place!!It's the way we celebrate this last night of our trip, not matter where we stay in the city. Now mind you, there are a lot of options in Las Vegas and over the years I have tried many many of them. However, this place is consistent and the very best value for your money. The food is wonderful and the service is always on point!! It is a busy place and sometime noisy, but that is kind of part of the whole thing. A lot depends on your plans for the night. If you are looking for old school great food, excetional service and value. This is it!!! You might even get quiet and romantic, depending to the time you book your table. You can call and ask Gary the manager for the best time and table for that kind of evening. He is amazing and makes us feel welcome each time we visti. Our most recent visit, Jose was our waiter and he was amazing!! His recommendations and service were above and beyond!.. We ordered the double cut pork chop dinner and the 12oz fillet mignon dinner! Oh My Goodness! So delicious and perfectly prepared!! The cocktails were delicious as well and you don't feel taken advantage of by ordering a second one pricewise. Enjoy!

nice meal out

By svolleybaker |

Pricey but yummy. Again, use your free coupin with meal purchase and get a free bottle of wine. Either a chardonnay or Cab Sav. Has the filet and it was delicious. Made salad table side and huge baked potato. Hubby got the fish. Beautiful and moist.

Food was good, prices are

By Relax823289 |

Food was good, prices are HIGH So it was late, for us anyways. We weren’t starving so we decided to share. They charged us $10 to do this. We split a meal and had a soda and beer and it was $100. I say go to Primarily Prime Rib which doesn’t look as fancy because they have an outdated sign. But it was much, much better and half the price! Still fancy! We did have excellent service at Silverado and the food was good, just not worth the price

Great Reasonable Off The Strip Fine Dinning

By TonyFi18 |

Fantastic menu. Everything including awesome Prime Rib. Also think about free, or very affordable parking that comes at Southpoint. Some of the best food in Vegas is off the strip. Try it, you will be glad you did.

One of the best for food and service.

By derinzyj |

This steakhouse is located in the South Point Resort and Casino. I have been there many times since it opened, and have never been disappointed by the food or the service. It is always exceptional. It you don't feel like steak, the double cut pork chop is to die for. Almost all entrees come with the delicious house salad. I always go here on every trip to Las Vegas. Ask for the waitperson Paul. He has been there since opening day, and is great!

Wow! This was AMAZING!

By Deborah M |

The food in this restaurant was absolutely delicious! From the warm, mouth watering bread- to the delicious lobster bisque and wedge salad all the way to dessert- everything was spot on. To top if off- the staff was incredibly attentive, and we didn't have to wait for a single thing. In fact, they anticipated things we didn't even know we needed! This is a diamond in the middle of South Coast Casino. LOVED THIS PLACE!!!

Traveliers, make a trip to this Steakhouse in Southern LV it's worth it!

By Bud B |

Traveliers, make a trip to this Steakhouse in Southern LV it's worth it! This steakhouse in at the SouthPoint on the very southern end of the strip but well worth it!! Had the New York Strip one eve ….AWESOME and Sea Bass another.... AWESOME! Service is also very good!

WOW...

By Herman02 |

You want a steak? A really really good steak? Cooked just the way YOU like it? Look no further than this steakhouse. It's hard to get in, so make reservations, but you will not be disappointed.. Bread and salad included in the price, round out this meal. You get every bit of the price with this steak...

Great specials

By BrooklynDodgers13 |

We visited during the week and were surprised 😮 with the 3 Course Meal 🥘 for $29.99. One of the offerings was a Filet Mignon. I started with the House Salad 🥗, Filet and Baked Potato 🥔 and the dessert was Black Cherry 🍒 ice cream 🍨 or Passion Fruit Sorbet. A bit pricey but very good!

Great Experience

By SCABob |

My wife & I ordered from the "Summer Deals Menu". I had the filet and my wife had the salmon. Both were very good and cooked to perfection. The server was outstanding and frequently returned to our table to see how things were going and to ask if we needed anything else. The regular menu offered good selections. We recommend this restaurant and we would return. Great place to have dinner before a show in the South Point Showroom.

Silverado Steakhouse Excellent Choice on Senior Mondays!

By Savannah6 |

On Mondays people over 55 years old can use their points for meals at South Point Casino. The meals are half price with points! That is, if one is over 55 and has $20 on their player's card, they can get a $40 meal using their $20 in points. I believe the best deal is the Silverado Steakhouse. Their food is excellent, ambience very nice, but patrons do not need to dress up. The tables are also set up well for social distancing and the wait staff terrific. I had the salmon and my husband had the filet mignon. Both were served with salads dressed at the table, and potatoes or asparagus. Normally Silverado offers an inexpensive but tasty bottle of wine for $20, so all in all, you cannot beat the price for a very good meal.

Party of one? Nope

By kerriedoll |

I’m staying at South Point for two nights on business, as I am taking a deposition about a mile away. Yesterday at 5:30 I called the front desk to ask if the hotel restaurants required reservations and was told, “No, tonight shouldn’t be a problem.” It was Tuesday, so this made sense. So I headed downstairs for an early dinner (6:00 pm). The first restaurant I came to was closed, so I tried the Silverado Steakhouse. A group of five men was before me and did not have a reservation, but were seated immediately. However, when the hostess came back, she told me without a reservation, there would be a one-hour wait. That would have been nice to know when I called the front desk at 5:30, half an hour before, but I have the feeling it was more that a “party of one” isn’t seen as lucrative. I found another restaurant that wasn’t closed and wasn’t a buffet and had a substandard dinner that I barely ate. I wish I would not have booked two nights here. So far, it’s been a huge disappointment.

Stop over from Idaho to Los Angeles

By Susan H |

Great Hotel! Wonderful restaurant, food was 5 star!! We felt special the way the staff greeted and served us. They were attentive at all times, friendly and courteous. Best steak I have had in a long time and the price was very reasonable. Will be sure to visit this restaurant again

LOVED this Restaurant

By Lori W |

We were here for a special event. Our waiter was amazing actually the whole staff was amazing. The food was really good and there was plenty of it. I highly recommend this restaurant. don't forget dessert.

Could be better

By InvisibleReviews |

First time trying this place at South Point. The baked potato and bread were very good. My steak was basted in some kind of herb(s) that I definitely did not like. I like my steaks cooked dry and in the future would ask for that. I can't give the place better than a three out of five.

Excellent Dinner!

By goodeatstraveler |

We had family visiting from Italy who wanted to try a nice American Angus Steak, so we decided to try the Silverado. It did not disappoint! We all had the New York Strip with Mashed Potatoes and a side of the delicious Creamed Corn. It was all cooked perfectly and mouthwatering! Zero complaints! The restaurant was cozy, clean and classy. The water was great! Yet another reason to visit the South Point Casino and Hotel. Michael's is still my favorite in this Hotel, but I would be happy to eat at Silverado any time.

Great Find

By Lawtraveler084 |

Went here for Christmas dinner. Amazing food at half the price of any strip or downtown restaurant. They had a special menu and also had their regular menu available. The entrees were cooked perfectly and the service was very professional. Worth the extra couple of miles to go here.

Thanksgiving dinner

By DEBRAH S |

AWFUL!!waited an hour or more for our dinner after we ordered! Waitress never came back to see if we wanted more wine, cocktail s or water or to tell is what the hole up was!we finally got her attention or another glass of wine asked to see the manager! He said sorry only our table and one other was not served on a timely basis!!dinner served lukewarm!! Not going back!!

A good value in a midwestern flavored steakhouse that oozes history

By ForAdventure |

The Silverado, the steakhouse at the South Point, caters to those enjoying steak rather than those looking for an upscale urban experience. That is a good thing in our opinion and reflects more of a down home experience as opposed to an upscale urban Vegas experience. The menu was broader than expected although all of our party opted for steaks. All of the food was properly prepared and quite tasty. The pricing was lower than we expected. Our biggest criticism is how messy the check in & seating process was with poor communication. The service itself was friendly and efficient. Reservations are a must.

Better than expected

By Claire M |

Having being recommended this place when we entered Hotel we were unsure what we would find However food was good and views and experience was great Dan our waiter made it a good night Would recommend don’t let the approach of Hotel put you off

Another vacation

By westie2 |

It was during another vacation to Las Vegas that we once again found ourselves with a reservation for dinner at this steakhouse on a Monday evening. Once again we were paying with 1/2 points because we are seniors. Not surprisingly we, that being my wife and I, each ordered medium rare filet mignon steaks that were accompanied by bread basket and house salads. My wife chose their excellent baked potato as a side while I went with the fresh vegetable of the day that turned out to be garlic green beans. Food and service were once again very good.

Excellent

By Roadtrip2Vegas |

We ate here on our last night of our trip. Our Host made the reservations and we were on a comp. My wife ordered the Tomahawk and I ordered the twin lobster tails. We shared and both had surf and turf. We have aten here several times before. The Tomahwk was cooked to perfection and the tails were excellent. Services was great.

Fantastic

By Melissa W |

Oh my was this food is amazing. Steaks are cooked perfect almost cut with a fork, my only complaint is they have Pepsi products, but that's a personal choice. Good was amazing

Great Place for steaks

By xicolopes |

I and two friends dined in the Silverado Steakhouse last May, based on their recommendation. We all had the filet mignon and it was delicious...cooked exactly to our order, tender and appropiately sized; not too big or not too small. The meal was so good I bought my friends a gift certificate for them to dine again in the Silverado, to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. The Silverado is conveniently located off the strip with ample parking. I'll go there again when I go back to Vegas.

Look forward to yearly meail.

By skincarebydeb |

Most tender and tasty steak you can sink your teeth into. Great presentation and attention to detail.

Yum Yum

Had a wonderful dinner at Silverado. The lobster bisque is excellent, the salmon delicious, and the filet mignon great. Jose was an excellent server and our evening was special.

Best steakhouse and elegant dining experience

By KKimpell12 |

This was a very special occasion. My uncle came in from out of town to celebrate his birthday. For my parents, husband and I being local we thought to bring him to the best steak house in town. And we did just that. My uncle was so impressed with the service and food. We were blessed to have an incredible waiter, Paul and server, Jacey. Both worked so well together and provided that fine dining local experience. We generally dine here for birthdays, anniversaries and new years celebrations, etc. This is our home away from home. The service by both Paul and Jacey was impeccable. Jacey and Paul were not only personable and friendly but very attentive to our table. Making sure to check in on us often and made us feel not only welcomed but comfortable. Silverado Steakhouse always provides consistency with their food, as well. Our food was cooked to perfection. We will see you both very soon. Thank you for making our dining experience so memorable.

Very nice

By Linda N |

We ate dinner on Wednesday December 8 and i5 was wonderful. Great salad tossed table side and my filet cooked to perfection as was my husband’s New York Strip. Highly recommend.

Pretentious

By KE B |

This restaurant was far too pretentious given the decor and food. The best person serving us was the person providing us with water and bread. Our server was not friendly and the host was equally unhappy to see us. The food was good - but nothing to write home about. It just seemed a little overly stuffy and overly priced.

Awesome Steakhouse!

By Carolyn D |

We stayed at South Point Casino & Resort over Labor Day weekend and had dinner at the Steakhouse one night. Delicious food, great atmosphere and outstanding service! I started with the blue cheese salad and it was delicious. My husband had the 18oz prime rib and devoured it. I had the bone-in ribeye. We also had sautéed spinach and creamed corn as side dishes as well as horseradish mashed potatoes. Needless to say... we were in a food coma afterwards!! Lol. A++.

Triple wrapped

By westie2 |

Seniors are charged only 1/2 points against their slot cards on Mondays so we chose dine at the South Point's steakhouse A basket of rolls and bread were provided, shortly followed by the house salad tossed tableside. Each of chose the 12-ounce dry aged prime rib, medium rare if you would be so kind, along with a baked potato and sour cream. The beef, served with au jus and horseradish sauce, was good, but the baker was one of the best we ever have enjoyed. I inquired and was told by our server that it is brushed with olive oil and sprinkled lightly before being triple wrapped with aluminum foil. This process was done twice more during the baking process. Service was very good throughout our meal. 3.5 Stars would be appropriate.

Photos added. Skip it and go to Don Vito's

By NitroDog |

Located in the South Point Resort & Casino. My wife and I dined here for dinner with a reservation. We were promptly seated. We shared a bottle of the "wine of the month". Very good. We were given a bread basket, where the sourdough buns were stale and very hard. The entrees came with a tableside tossed salad that is chopped way too fine. Hard to get on your fork. We both ordered the Prime Rib Dinner, somewhat fatty. I have better cuts at Primarily Prime Rib (upstairs) that is currently closed. The baked potato was excellent, as well as the asparagus option my wife had. I added many photos of our visit. Excellent social distancing procedures are in place. Very friendly staff.

Excellent food and service

By Jendrea |

Our group of 14 enjoyed dinner at the Silverado. Originally we could only get a 9:30pm reservation due to our last minute booking. The front desk supervisor called to let us know that they could take us an hour and a half early. We were thankful and impressed! Most of us had the prime rib or salmon. Everyone said their food was excellent. The servers were friendly and attentive. This all made for a great night out with friends!

Enjoyable

By MichaelinVegas |

We booked through open table and noted it was our anniversary. We were greeted by our hostess and immediately seated. Our server came the table and introduced herself. She was a little standoffish and a little robotic. Neither the hostess or the server acknowledged our anniversary. Our busser was very attentive and made sure our water was always full and plates were cleared. The wife had the shrimp cocktail which was lovely. I had the scallops and spinach salad. The scallops were perfectly cooked but the spinach was not dressed. They put the dressing on top of the scallops which was odd. I scraped it off and tossed the salad with it. The dressing was overly sweet. The busser tossed the tableside salad. The champagne vinaigrette was also overwhelmingly sweet. She ordered the salmon which was a beautiful cut and cooked to perfection. She also loved the garlic mashed potatoes. I had the prime rib which was amazing. One of the best I've ever had. The au jus and horseradish sauce were a perfect compliment. We ended the night with an espresso and cappuccino. Overall, it was very good. We would eat here again.

Another great dinner

By bobbyb09 |

Silverado is always the "final dinner" spot when at South Point. Filet is outstanding and comes with a great baked potato (hint, add bacon to the potato, well worth the tiny charge). Dinner also comes with a house salad and great bread choices. Buddy had the pork chop and he raved about it. I also had my absolute favorite baked French onion soup. Not many places I'd consider spending $12 on soup but trust me and go for it. Excellent service and reasonable prices for a high end steakhouse. Never a disappointment.

Don't walk, but RUN to this Steakhouse

By Thomas K |

Say Hello to the Silverado Steakhouse (inside the South Point Casino), where steaks are done right. Talk about an old Vegas vibe steakhouse that won't break the bank. Went with a friend to celebrate my birthday...and can't wait to return. Shared a dozen raw oysters while sipping a wonderful bottle of Bordeaux. Next up was our table-side salad with champagne vinaigrette atop chopped artichokes. My Rib-eye steak was cooked to perfection and came with the house prepared Cheddar/Chive mashed potatoes. I ordered a side dish of sauteed mushrooms! Dessert was banana fosters, hello again. Would like to thank Joseph (server) and Matthew (runner) for a wonderful dining experience. Can't wait to return.

Old School

By Charles R |

This is a classic old school Las Vegas steakhouse = delicious. My family shared Thanksgiving dinner here and had a wonderful time. None of us went for the turkey special - we stayed with the basic menu and enjoyed our time together. We all agreed, the salad toss at table side was fun, and the blue cheese dressing was really great. We had the range of meat and fish as mains - all cooked perfectly. Desserts were also enjoyed by all - vanilla cake was the best. Good time by all - we recommend Silverado.

good food

By Ryan H |

I enjoyedmy meal, but my server was distracted and was not very good, left me 1/2 way thru my order to "take care of something" did not come back to check on my meal, seemed like she was having a bad day. not sure I would go back as prices are a little high for the service you get.

Great steaks and excellant service.

By MrBill W |

We alway eat here when we are staing at South Point. we both had the fillet steaks and they were cooked perfectly (medium rare). We both had cesar salads and both were great. Fine wine and a great steak with great service was well worth the price. Don't miss thsi reastaurant.

Great Steak

Had dinner here before a show at the Southpoint Casino. Great first visit! Very classy ambiance and pretty reasonable when it comes to prices. Food was great (Steak and shrimp scampi) and the service was top notch. The tableside service presentation of salad and main course actually reminded me a lot of a Lawry's Prime Rib establishment. Treated us like first class. Now for our server Jose. he was great. Tended to all our food allergies in fact I told him I had an extreme allergy to tomatoes. I ordered the French Onion Soup as an appetizer. Jose came back a few minutes later and let me know that the stock actually had tomatoes in it. I could have had an extreme reaction to that. Thank you Jose!! Far and away the best dining experience we had during our Vegas trip. Kudos to the staff for a memorable evening.

Great service, Yummmy Pork Chop!

By Tawnyrval |

Silverado at South Point Casino offers a delightful nod to classic American steakhouses, blending a charming old-school vibe with excellent service. We were thrilled to be seated a bit early for our 7 p.m. reservation, setting a positive tone for the evening. The warm decor creates a welcoming atmosphere ideal for family dinners. From the start, the attentive staff made us feel right at home. We began our meal with a lovely basket of baked bread and enjoyed a delightful tableside salad preparation, which added a fun touch. For my entrée, I had the pork chop, cooked to perfection—juicy and flavorful. My partner and her sister savored the prime rib, while my brother-in-law enjoyed a classic New York strip. We also indulged in delicious sides of baked potatoes and green beans, enhancing our meal with their comforting flavors. Overall, Silverado's delivers a fantastic experience inviting atmosphere, delicious food, and outstanding sides, it’s a must-visit destination for steak lovers!

Best decision

By cejansky |

We always try to have the best meal before we leave. The Silverado did not disappoint. Their entree’s were hard to choose from along with their deserts. A little pricey, but well worth every penny.

Just ok

By james6764 |

We decided to eat here while staying at South Point. We were looking for a nice sit down place. We took advantage of the free bottle of wine coupon and the wine we were served was not to bad. We both ordered the chicken. It came with a salad which was ok but not great. They do not tell you it has artichokes and heart of palm. The chicken was decent. Probably would not return to this place anytime soon. It is pricey but that does not generally bother us if the meal is great.

Decent food, Great Service Poor Atmosphere

By Iamfortunata |

We love this restaurant but it's gone downhill horribly in the atmosphere department. Our dinner was ruined by people at the table next to us who were drunk, loud and foul mouthed. They evidently frequent the restaurant quite a bit because when they were asked to be quiet by another patron because there were children nearby, they got louder and one of the waiters made a neck slicing movement to them telling them to cut it out. However prior to that when the patron asked that they be asked not to use foul language nothing was done. Sad to pay that much to eat and have to listen F this, GD that. Maybe management should take note.

WNFR NO wine for you

By Fritz1224 |

Stayed here for the rodeo and my wife was looking for a "decent" glass of wine. We asked the bartender at the crown royal bar and he told us the Silverado had a good wine menu, and they would accommodate us. We went to the Silverado and we were told we couldn't get a glass of wine, and we couldn't get a table if we didn't eat and there was no bar area. The place was almost empty, and I asked why we couldn't get a table and order a bottle of wine and was told that the tables were saved for when the rodeo let out and things got busy. No attempt at all was made to compromise. We could have easily drank a glass of wine in the 30 to 40 minutes that he claimed it would take for the rodeo traffic to start. I won't be staying off of the strip anytime soon. I have never had an issue getting served before now, and you are completely stranded at the Southpoint.

An average steak that was over-priced.

By Roberts69 |

Whilst staying at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas I ate dinner at their Silverado Steakhouse. The restaurant is quite large but still has a pleasant ambiance. I opted for the New York Strip steak which was 14oz and came with a tossed salad and potato (jacket or mash). My steak was good but in my opinion it was not worth the US$52 I paid for it. I have had just as good and even better New York Strip steaks at other steakhouse's that have been better at a lower cost. The salad was also 'okay' and the jacket potato was average. This all leads me to give my meal an overall 'Average' review rating.

Nice Steakhouse off The Strip

By CWS55 |

Nice steakhouse located within the South Point Casino. Nicely appointed with leather booths and low lighting. Ordered the blackened rib eye. Cones with a tableside excellent tossed salad with tomatoes, artichoke hearts and lots if greens. Very good bleu cheese dressing. Also includes an enormous baked potato with the works added tableside. Yes all the stuff you want. The steak by appearance seemed lacking. Thin cut rib eye about a half inch. 18 ounces per the menu. I hate thin steaks. The taste however was very good. Pan seared with barbecue sauce and an oriental sauce with a kick. Extra sauce painted the side of the plate in red yellow dabs. Although slightly overcooked the flavor was spicy and exotic. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Dinner served with warm homemade bread, rains and nut. A great pretzel roll and hard roll. Hard not to eat them all. My companion had the small filet Oscar style which was cooked perfectly and tender. Excellent waiter and staff.

Enjoyable Evening

Excellent dinner (filet mignon and halibut francaise), and Jose G. along with Chaker provided excellent service. We will return again.

Nice Steakhouse

By Scat |

Although usually expensive, they offer locals and SouthPoint guests great discounts. Great wine selection. Food is very good and service is fine. I like this restaurant and go there often but there is something just slightly missing so I only gave it 4 stars. I can't identify why I'm holding back because everything is fine...but not quite excellent.

Outstanding Steak and Sea Food

By iowaland |

We have the Fillet Medallions and Scallops as separate entrees. Asparagus was excellent. Crème Bruellee is excellent. A special place to go for a date.

Great Steakhouse!

By WYGirl12 |

Silverado always provides a great experience and excellent food. The ambiance is perfect. Table side salad is nice. We tried the prime rib and the Filet, both were excellent. Wine selection is nice, and we enjoyed the Begnets for desert.

Stupendous!

By Ed K |

Four of us ate at the Silverado on Saturday night. I was amazed at the quality of the food. The Sea Bass was probably the best sea food dish I have ever had. The complimentary bottle of wine was superb! The price was more than reasonable, especially considering how great the meal was. I highly recommend the Silverado..and try the sea bass!

Surprisingly Great Meals-Year after Year

By Spdmonkey |

I attend a yearly convention in Las Vegas at the South Point and each year I host a dinner for friends and colleagues at the Silverado Steakhouse. I always make reservations as our group is anywhere from 8-17 people. This year it was 17 and as always they take great care of us! The Fillet is wonderful as is everything on the menu. The seafood it very good as well. For more than 10 years this place has been wonderful and I can't wait to go back next year.

Great food and service!!

By _paulclory |

My wife had dinner here April 20, 2017. The special was filet mignon and seared sea scallops. The steak and scallops were seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had lobster bisque and crab cakes, best lobster bisque I evere had, and the crab cakes were excellent, almost all crab. Our waitress Kelly was very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Silverado Steakhouse. Paul C.

Wonderful, and a Great Find

By Steve V |

Staying next door to South Point we decided to try the Silverado Steakhouse. We were not disappointed! Had the 24 oz Tomahawk steak! Had two meals from that! Service was 5* and the bill was 3*, very affordable! Great appetizers that will not disappoint! You'll pay less here than on the Strip!

Excellent!

By mjshog |

The food was far and away the best i've had in a long time. Generous portions cooked to perfection! Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful. The prime rib was just perfect

Summer special- a great value

By elleb333 |

My husband and I took advantage of the summer special - $29.95 dinner. My husband had the filet and I had the salmon. My salmon was very moist and nicely prepared. The special included soup or salad, entrée with sides and dessert. The service was a bit slow but overall this was a very good meal and at a great price.

Fantastic steaks!

By Julie L |

Everything at Silverado Steakhouse was great. We were able to use a coupon in the South Point coupon book for a free bottle of wine, and it was very good. The food was wonderful, service very good as well. Great atmosphere.

Great value for top notch food and service.

By savdm |

I disagree that this is a casual night out. Please, dress business casual, flip flops and jean shorts are an insult to the other patrons. We love this place, the food and the service is top notch. Have been here numerous times and never disappointed. Starting with the $20.00 bottle of the wine which is a value that can't be beat. The food is high scale and worth it. The service leaves nothing to be asked for. Very attentive without being annoying. We have recommended this to many others. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent service and meal

By MichiganMarie |

I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon and my husband ordered the 16 oz prime rib. Both were $36 and came with a fresh tossed salad prepared at your table, baked potato and an assortment of fresh baked bread. All were excellent. We thought the prices were very reasonable considering the potato, salad, and bread were included. Many restaurants in Vegas charge extra for side dishes. We also split a bowl of Lobster Bisque, which was a very generous portion and had chunks of lobster in it. If you have the South Point players card and stay at the hotel, you get a coupon for a free bottle of house wine, white or red. The service was excellent also, with very attentive waiters.

One of the best meals we have ever had

By margaretr664 |

The restaurant decor is kind of old school steakhouse but it’s really inviting environment. Our waiter Ryan made an instant connection with us. My sister had the filet and I had the prime rib. We have been to some of the best restaurants in the United States and Canada and this one gets very high marks. The food and service was outstanding and I ordered a pomegranate martini and it was incredible. The meal is fine dining so be prepared to spend $80 person but the experience is well worth it.

Best in town

By Linda |

I have been to Vegas the last 3 years and can't believe I never ate at this restaurant! We stay at the Grandview next door and eat at the casino almost every night. It is THE best food and price was the most you can get for your money steakhouse in Vegas! We actually enjoyed it so much we ate there twice on our last trip. Excellent food and service!

Steak dinner for 2

By Michelle K |

Delicious dinner for spouse and I. We both had a New York Strip with baked potato. Salad and bread to start was fresh and delicious. The house vinaigrette was delicious. Service was excellent. Would definitely recommend and will go again if ever at South Point in the future.

OMG! Soooooo good!

By dusan i |

Hubby and I chose this restaurant to celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary on Nov. 26th and were thrilled with everything about it starting with hotel free parking unlike every other strip hotel! Ok, enough about that ... Both had wine, the dinner salads, hubby had the special of the day which was Halibut with a side Lobster tail and asparagus and I had the grilled salmon with asparagus which melted in my mouth; both were scrumptious! A basket of lovely breads were provided. We ended with a decadent Creme Brûlée and will definitely be going back again!

Excellent Steaks and Prime Rib

By Sally S |

Have eaten there twice, and it is consistently excellent. Service is flawless, and with the Fun Book you get upon check-in, you get a bottle of wine for every 2 entrees. A nice touch.

Vegas

By forrena |

Night before we left Vegas stopped at Southpoint for dinner Waiter recommended the sea bass, horseradish mashed potatoes and asparagus. Wonder meal. Had a salad with their champagne vignette dressing. The fish was cooked to perfection. The potatoes had a nice bite to them. Hubby had the N.Y. steak, melted in your mouth.

Southpoint Hotel/casino

By HUGH B |

Overall a Fantastic experience. The room is well lit and comfortable, the service was attentive and courteous. The food was EXCELLENT Our server Collin and his assistant did an excellent job. My wife and I started off with the French Onion Soup, which is one of the best we ever had. We decided on a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from the Silverado Vineyard in Napa (EXCELLENT) We then shared a crab cocktail that was absolutely delicious and fresh. Both my wife and I ordered the special of an 8 oz Filet served with a mushroom demi glaze mashed potatoes and 3 very large shrimp (probably U '8's) and asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly and beautifully presented. We finished off with Beignets and espresso. About halfway through our meal the Chef walked through the dinning room and looked professional and exactly what you would expect in the finest restaurant. Our bill came to $245.00 with tax, we decided on a $50.00 tip so altogether our EXCELLENT meal was a grand total of $295.00, which I considered to be a good value. We are locals and live about fifteen minutes away from the Southpoint and look forward to dinning here again soon

Disappointed at the Silverado

By Brad D |

Stopped at the Silverado for dinner after the reviews shown on Trip Advisor. Was seated right away and the waitress was quick and attentive. However it is all about the steak. I had the ribeye and for $48, I expected perfection. My medium steak was rare to a point I could not finish. I showed the steak to the waitress and was told it is usually rare in the middle. 3 stars for the dinner and they lose a star because of the lack of empathy from the waitress

Strong work on a good filet

By Ky D |

I got the wedge salad and a small filet Oscar style. The wedge was near perfect. The filet was just right but the crab that came with the Oscar style was generally tasteless. If I did it again, I would get the filet plain. Overall excellent meal, however.

High End Steakhouse

By ChilioBear |

The food was very good. I had the bone-in rib-eye with mashed potatoes. Their salad comes with a house champagne vinaigrette that was good. Steak was done just the way I asked for it (could've used a little seasoning though). Waitress could've been a little more friendly. Overall, good food.

Great Steaks in Las Vegas

By Greg212 |

This steakhouse is located inside the South Point Hotel and offers a nice variety of well-prepared steaks and side dishes. It is an elegant restaurant and typically caters to a demanding clientele. Because of the hotel, prices are fairly reasonable, as compared to other steakhouses located in high-end hotels on the strip.

great service and food value, great choices for food.. food was excellent all around from appetizer to dessert.

Great find

By Halle H |

We had been checking out steakhouses local to where we were staying. Southpoint casino has great place! Salad is done tableside , with an amazingly tasty bread basket! We started with a burgandy mushrooms appetizer, and then onto 8oz filet mignon. This was tender, tasty, and perfect medium rare. We recommend stopping in for reasonably priced , great service and great meal!

Awesome dinner!

By Art O |

We took our friend to this restaurant for her birthday. The restaurant was full, which is always a good sign. We started with salads, which were very tasty. Their breads (pretzel, roll, and a raisin bread) were warm and delicious. We had chicken, filet mignon, and prime rib meals. They were all cooked as asked, with very good vegetables. Our servers were always around checking on us, as well. I finished with the RODEO COFFEE, which was sooo good. Just don't drive after you drink it!!!!

Good spot for bday dinner!

By We_Travel_A_Lot_2011 |

Excellent meal for my mother's birthday. Superb service and attentive staff. Elegant setting located inside the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa. My mum, wife and I started with a large bottle of Peligreno sparkling water and enjoyed the house basket of assorted breads and decorative rose shaped butter. We perused the menu and decided on seared scallops and a couple of steak filets. The steaks came with a Siverado salad that was tossed table side. The house dressing was delicious. My wife had the seared sea scallops served with baby spinach and topped with warm bacon dressing. Nice presentation but a couple of the scallops were sandy, seems to be the risk you take when enjoying scallops 3/5. The non sandy scallops were delicious 4/5. We also split a side of grilled asparagus between us. Mum had an 8 oz. filet with a baked potato which is also prepared table side to your liking. She enjoyed every last bite 5/5. I ordered the 12 oz. filet with mashed potato and cake topped with a homemade potato chip. Cooked medium to perfection 5/5. Because it was mums birthday, we ordered a couple and shared. We enjoyed the warm apple crumb cake 4/5 and the creme brûlée topped with fresh berries including blueberries, raspberry, strawberry and blackberry 5/5.

We found our new Vegas Steakhouse.

By Jeff W |

Great food, great service, great experience. We have been looking for a new steakhouse to try when we visit Las Vegas and I think we found it at the Silverado steakhouse at South Point Casino. Server Rey and Waiter Michael were incredible and the food was first class and a decent value

Excellent value for money

By Pierre C |

Silverado Steakhouse deserves a visit Almost hidding in SouthPoint this restaurant offers great steak. The rib eye is tasty and juicy Service efficient professional

Maybe I should have given it 5 stars

By jeff h |

This is an excellent restaurant located in the South Point Casino. The menu is steaks and seafood as you might imagine and the prices are at the low end of high. Call it moderate based on other high end places in Vegas. But here's the thing, and there is a thing; They just annoyed me. We had reservations and arrived on time to see lots of empty tables and yet we had to wait about 10 minutes. It seemed like it took a long time for the waiter to show and then to give him our order. The food came promptly enough but the waiter vanished. Everything happened as it should and right on the edge of my tolerance, but happen it did.

Fantastic and lots of Gluten Free options!

By ahd101 |

Let me start by saying this steakhouse is unbelievably fantastic. The food is just delicious. My favorites are the filet, the creamed corn, the amazing baked potato, and the molten chocolate cake. Service is 5 star as well. My daughter has Celiac disease and she must eat gluten free. Unfortunately, all too often in Las Vegas we find restaurants that don't understand cross contamination, and we regularly find menu items such as gluten free pasta- where the pasta noodles are gluten free, but the pasta sauce is not. Or, gluten free crepes cooked on the same surface as regular crepes. It was such a wonderful surprise to find out that this restaurant takes Celiac very seriously. First the manager was informed and the server filled out an in-house form. My daughters food was prepared using an "allergy kit." Although Celiac isn't an allergy, this preparation method to avoid cross contamination was very much appreciated. My daughter's food was kept separate and labeled. Her salad dressing was house made, gluten free and came in a separate serving dish. There are also a number of gluten free dessert options. Our experience was 100% positive and we can't wait to go back. Management might consider advertising their gluten free options. I see tourist and locals alike constantly asking for recommendations for gluten free dining in Las Vegas and there aren't many good options. I haven't seen this restaurant on any of the apps such as "Find Me Gluten Free."

High class in every way

By Steveuj |

In the South Point Casino. High end restaurant with lovely setting and very good food and service. We come back here to celebrate

Excellent food, great price!

By Meesh28 |

I loved this place from start to finish! Didn't have a reservation, was told it would be an hour wait, gentleman was very pleasant. Came back after 40 mins as we were exhausted from the day & were seated. Given a nice assortment of bread & drinks were brought out quickly. Ordered Filet Mignon, grilled asparagus & mushrooms/onions. The waiter was very pleasant, the food was delicious & cooked perfectly. The price tag was less than Gallagher's & Andiamo..only difference was their food wasn't quite as flavourful in terms of seasoning & sauces. All in all I had a great experience & will definitely go back..in the Southpoint Casino at the far north end (opposite end from poker room).

Family Dinner

By Gerry S |

Went to Silverado Steakhouse for a family dinner 0n 7/20. We were seated at our reservation time, and greeted by our server. The food was very good. The steaks were delicious and cooked to our liking. I would recommend Silverado to anyone who wants a great steak and good atmosphere.

It never changes -- which, in this ever-changing world -- is a good thing!

By KSSeaB |

My husband and I have been dining in the Silverado Steakhouse for years. It's one of the most reasonably priced steakhouses in the Las Vegas Valley. Yesterday we celebrated our wedding anniversary by having dinner here. Joseph, who supported our waitress Sue, was phenomenal. He kept our water glasses full (until we said "No more"), took our photo, asked before clearing the bread, asked before clearing the plates; and he is so pleasant. Sue was personable and efficient and she offered us a complimentary dessert because it was our anniversary; we sincerely appreciate that. I will say, however, that in all the years we've been dining here, this was the first time they've ever comped us anything. Dinners include a salad and either mashed or baked potato, as well as a bread basket with three types of bread. I recommend the house dressing, Champagne Vinagrette. I like it. My husband doesn't generally like vinagrettes, but he likes theirs. I LOVE the raisin bread which is warm; the butter melts so nicely. Yum. In addition to the two slices of raisin bread, the bread basket also includes two pretzel breads and two rolls. The salad is the perfect size. The baked potatoes are large. I ordered, as I often do, the Filet Trio which is three small filets mignon, each topped with a different sauce: Mushroom, Bernaise and Roasted Garlic. The price is $41, which I think is steep but, once again, it's far less than most LV steakhouses charge. I ordered my meat medium rare and that is exactly how it was prepared. Each filet sits atop a small crisp round of bread. I don't know why they do this -- perhaps for sopping up the sauces. I never eat these pieces of bread -- I've usually had two pieces of their delicious raisin bread by now. My husband ordered the prime rib last night. It was a good piece; cooked to perfection and not very fatty. The 12 oz slice is $29. We ordered one side dish, the sauteed mushrooms and onions. All side dishes are $6 and they are more than enough for two people. (The grilled asparagus is also a good choice.) Silverado's Wine List is nice in that they offer a decent selection of wines by the glass as well as half bottles. They have a fairly extensive list of wines by the bottle. Thanks to Sue, we shared a Passion Fruit Sorbet which was topped with a few fresh berries. We learned to love maracuya, which is quite tart, when we lived in Central America where it is used for sorbets, ice cream, pies and cocktails. Dinner for two, with a half bottle of wine, was $104 before tip. Definitely not cheap, but you get your money's worth because dinners include really good breads, salad and potato. We were in and out in an hour, which is typical of the Silverado Steakhouse. They've been serving this same menu for as long as I can remember, so the kitchen is fast. It's not a place where you will linger, spending a couple of hours over dinner. The decor and lighting are subtle; not too bright, but not too dark. You can chose a table or a booth; the booths being old-style, high-backed, upholstered, curved; much more romantic than today's booths with two vinyl benches facing each other. (See photo) As I have for years, I highly recommend the Silverado Steakhouse which is inside the South Point Hotel & Casino on the south end of Las Vegas Boulevard (aka "the Strip.")

Restaurant Week

By teri s |

Best dinner and service. Once we found out that there was no smoking in the restaurant we decided to try it. It was restaurant week and they had a special menu of meals they were showcasing and we were not disappointed. Our meal included a bottle of wine, red or white. Appetizer of jumbo, garlic shrimp, entree of filet medallions and dessert of raspberry/strawberry mousse served in a chocolate cup with fresh berries on top. Presentation, taste and quality of food and service was outstanding. We would definitely go back on our next visit.

Fabulous, now a must-visit for our next LV trips

By Kim_F_CA |

We decided to visit this restaurant for the first time a few days before Christmas, and it did not disappoint. In fact, we liked it so much, we decided this would be a must on our annual pre-Xmas Family trip to Las Vegas. I’ll also bring my BFF for our yearly visits, too. Jose was our fabulous server, who has worked there for 19 years, and made the experience even better. The food was amazing! Not to mention the value. Every entree comes with a generous salad and your choice of side dish included (vegetable, baked potato, mashed potatoes, or specialty mashed potato - that night was Boursin-mashed - yum). The bread was also excellent. There is a large variety of steaks, seafood, plus veal, lamb, and chicken on the menu. We ordered the Boursin-stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, Chilean Sea Bass with lump crab, Flounder in lemon sauce, Prime Rib, and Black Forest Cake & Ice Cream. All portions were *enormous*. We did not feel rushed and enjoyed our 2-hour dinner in a cozy half-round booth against the wall. We were able to book through OpenTable the day-of for a Monday dinner that night. Can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic!!

By S Hall |

We met friends there for dinner during the rodeo. Oh my goodness! The food was delicious! Our table ordered various dishes such as salmon, halibut, pork chop, prime rib, and chicken parm. Everyone talked about the entrees being good! Service was excellent. Reservations strongly suggested!! We will definitely go again when in the area.

OK Food, Good Service

By Lsk0334 |

It’s always the little things that make a Steakhouse great, but Silverado doesn’t seem to pay attention to the little things. Take the butter for example. So frozen you couldn’t cut or spread it on your bread. My cocktail had so much ice in it, I’m not sure how they got liquid into it. And ordering the petit filet mignon, I discovered a texture unlike other filets I have had. The half inch height of the steak was a tipoff. And although flavorful, it’s texture was quite grainy. Perhaps you need to order a pricier steak. In fairness, the baked potato, salad and service were all quite good..

First Class Steakhouse

I was staying at the South Point Hotel for the Mecum auction with some friends and we wanted a good steak dinner..The Silverado Steakhouse was a excellent choice. Very elegant great service excellent steaks..I had a filet and others had porterhouse and prime rib. They make your salad tableside and meal includes your chose of sides. The price was very reasonable we thought for a Vegas steakhouse..Good cocktails no room for dessert.

Consistent Excellence

By bobbyb09 |

Consistently our place for our last night at South Point. Never been disappointed here. Started out with the absolute best French Onion Soup anywhere. Dinner comes with a very nice house salad. Got the small filet cooked medium rare with an excellent baked potato (hint, have them bring bacon to add to the potato). You can get a complete steak dinner here for much less than a steak with nothing else included at the Strip places, and the quality here is just as good, IMO. GO HERE.

Another filet mignon

By westie2 |

We once again chose this restaurant on a Monday when seniors can dine for 50% off when using slot points. Each of us ordered medium rare 8 ounce fillet mignons that included a table side tossed salad and a choice of either their world famous baked potato (my wife) or asparagus, the vegetable of the day (me). Service and food were both very good.

Excellent service, and a tremendous meal

By gary X |

We were here for a company conference dinner. Dinner for over a dozen of us was promptly and efficiently handled. The wait staff was superb, and the chef's special Chilean Sea Bass that i had was the one of the best fish dinners I ever experienced. The apple crumb cake dessrt was a great end to a wonderful meal.

Intimate, amazing Steakhouse

By Shannan22 |

We went to dinner and had a great steak. I also had the wedge salad and the lobster bisque. Everything we had was great. They also have an extensive wine list with an array of prices. You can get a glass of wine for $7. We really enjoyed it, and would go back again if given the chance. It was nice to get off the strip and enjoy a quality dinner that was not over priced.

Filet was melt in your mouth

By Grandmaboxes |

Everything was delicious and very fancy. If you get the coupon book you get a free bottle of wine with the purchase of 2 entrees. They have an appetizer of sea scallops with a maple drizzle in a bed of spinach which is to die for.

Fabulous

By mgard11 |

Kudos to the person(s) running this restaurant. What a fine dining experience. The service was some of the best we have ever encountered. Susan and Corey did everything possible to make our time there something special. We never wanted for anything. Our glasses were always full of either water or wine. The prime rib was the finest we have eaten in many years. Even the salad,, with the hearts of palm, grabbed our taste buds. I never expected to find as good a restaurant as this inside a casino. There was one thing we found to be negative and distracting. The restaurant, most likely at the direction of the hotel and casino, does not have a dress code. It, being inside a casino, serves casino urchins. I use that term because it most aptly describes some of the diners coming in and out. Flip flops, dirty t-shirts, incredibly bad manners, sleeveless shirts, shorts resembling nothing more than boxers. Fortunately, they were in the minority. This is a fine dining experience and deserves some respect. Please, enforce some type of dress code.

Great Steaks at a reasonable price

By fsufsudave |

Steaks were cooked to perfection. Great Baked Potatoe and salad along with the unusual bread they served. It was a fantastic meal. Only downside was it was a little noisy due to a large group of men drinking and being very loud.

a great experience

Go to the Silverado for a dining pleasure. Food and service is awesome. Make reservations. They get pretty busy.

Just Ok

By Marilyn S |

We came here for dinner after a concert. It was a bit of a wait before a server approached. The drinks were well prepared. The wine was on special. We split the prime rib dinner. The salad was very good but the meat was flavorless as were the mashed potatoes. Overall the dinner was disappointing.

My favorite steakhouse!!!!

If I have an option for steak while I’m in town this is my go to 100%. Huge portions, great ambiance, staff is always polite and makes sure you are treated properly. The strip may have all the endorsed names but you can’t go wrong with this steakhouse at South Point

Excellent food - even the seafood!

Went with a large group. I've been trying to lay off red meat and expected their salmon to be less than stellar, as it so often is at steakhouses. I was delighted! The salmon was cooked precisely as I had requested (medium-rare) and was simply perfect. Our server was friendly and helpful. Everyone in our party loved their meals and I was sad that I had to leave Vegas before I could return for another dinner. Highly recommended!

Slightly above average

The food was OK I’d rate it six out ten. For the value there’s better options in town. Including primarily prime rib, which is in the same casino. Server was very friendly however, it took 15 minutes to remove the dirty plates after we had finished dinner. The potatoes were correctly cooked. However, the only options for toppings were butter, sour cream, and chives. I was thinking an upscale restaurant they would offer bacon and cheese. Oscar style was delicious but the asparagus was undercooked.

Steakhouse Less Costly Than the Strip

By mkolostrick |

This Steakhouse is located at the South Point Casino and Hotel about 4-5 miles south of Mandalay Bay. It has a stately elegant décor and is priced quite a bit less than comparable steakhouses on the strip. Entrees include your choice of soup or salad and potato which you many times do not find. Our steak and chicken entrees were prepared to perfection and our bill with several rounds of drinks and dessert for 4 was $200. They also offer shuttles to the strip for a nominal fee. Definitely worth a try!

Our group The Las Vegas Eaters Club has enjoined dining at the Silverado Steakhouse several times and have always had a great meal. Starting with the salad and ending with desserts. We love the filet mignon, and the lobster tails too

Last night in Vegas

By Carlos M |

If you’re into old school high end steak houses this is a great choice. Lots of dark wood and dim lights. It’s a bit off the strip so you’ll need to lift or uber there; but it’s worth it in my opinion. Price is about right for the type of food and service, about $150 with tip for a couple. Still a way better deal than the buffet at Caesar’s which I definitely would not recommend. Check it out if you’re a steak and baked potato type. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Happy Eating!

First Time I was Disappointed

By allenw78 |

We have eaten at this steakhouse and have never been disappointed except for this meal. I chalk it up to the rodeo being at the hotel and it was so busy. Steak and pork chop came luke warm rather than hot. Waiter must have been overwhelmed. I would have sent the steak and baked potato back to be heated or replace but we were with another couple. I have eaten here at least a dozen times and this was the first disappointment. We will try again. I guess that I would just say, if the restaurant is packed....do not go.

Found it very average

By 1GCFAN |

I have been here a couple times with a party of five. Twice the food wasn't prepared or cooked to our order. The steaks are ok but not great. Service was not so good. Water and ice was spilled on my table with no offer to clean it up.

Dinner with my wife and son

By Gerald K |

The family decided to try the Silverado restaurant. We ordered filet minion and prime rib. it came with two salads and we had mashed and baked potatoes. Everything tasted very good and our waiter and his assistant were very good. Would recommend and go there again

Always Fantastic!!

By carib4fun |

Have been to Silverado Steakhouse several times over the years. Last visit was this past May. Part of 8 of us enjoyed a couple of the seafood appetizers and most had filet or prime rib as main entree. Silverado has never disappointed us. Fantastic service, nice ambiance! My family usually stays at Southpoint, so location is always a plus ( we have family members that live in the area). Southpoint is also generous in awarding dining perks that can be used at their various restaurants.

Not Primarily Prime!

By Alaskanjim |

Not Primarily Prime! After a recent visit and all- time favorite dinners days ago at sister restaurant, Primarly Prime, we drove back. Loved it so much, we came back to the casino with my sisters urging... “we can’t go wrong.” It’s with a heavy heart I write this negative review ... see what I said about Primarily Prime. This steakhouse was a bit of a disaster. The food was ok, except the ny steak was tough and one of the oysters was sour. But the worse part was the service. My wife ordered a baked potato, they served mashed. They forgot the asparagus and still charged us for it. Service was painfully slow and inattentive. Dismal service ... and like two hours slow. I would have complained about the potato or the asparagus, but ... the wait staff was no where to be seen.

Everything was good except the seabass

By Tom Y |

We ate here a few time and everything was good. We had seabass before and it was excellent. We cook seabass at home at least twice a month. They melt in your mouth. We order it again and what a disappointment. It was tough. We know that even overcooked seabass should not be tough. We told the waiter, They brought back another plate and it was the same. I don't believe they were serving seabass. Some restaurant would serve Halibut but call them seabass because the texture is pretty similar, if not overcooked. We did not get charged for the $52 dollar seabass. If you have similar problem, please point it out to management and they do their best to fix it. We also has 18oz prime rib and it was excellent. The price here is reasonable. We play here pretty often and we get comps here and food and wine are free.

Quiet elegance and great food.

By nuggetboy |

During our stay in early August the restaurant was running a three course special. Salad, entree with potato and dessert for only $29. We both got the filet mignon and it was delicious. I rarely eat bread but this bread basket was delicious with pretzel and cranberry bread (I think). The restaurant itself is very well appointed, low lights and as I said in the title, a quiet elegance. The service staff is outstanding and cannot do enough for you. and the service is outstanding. Everything was prepared fresh (table side salad and potato dressing) and to perfection. We will be returning, special or no special.

Undeniably fantastic

Delicious Dining at Silverado

By kshofer |

We dined at the Silverado Steakhouse at the South Point Hotel and Casino last week. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Bread basket was delicious. We had the house salad (tossed at the table) filet mignon, grilled salmon. They also had my favorite cabernet - Louis Martini. We were stuffed.

Nice dinner

Great food but somewhat expensive. Enjoyed our evening and dinner. Should make reservations if you are on a schedule

Steak and French Onion Soup

By bobbyb09 |

I've been to Silverado a number of times and never had a bad meal. Had an excellent filet and my absolute favorite french onion soup. I can't recommend the soup highly enough. The perfectly cooked steak comes with a great baked potato and house salad. Also included are raisin bread, pretzel rolls and sourdough rolls. Service is also excellent. If you are near the South Point, don't miss this outstanding, and reasonably priced steakhouse.

Pretty good

We arrived at our reservation time and we were seated promptly Our busser was really good at his job and very friendly First we were served a basket of breads that were warm and good. One of the breads was soft pretzels Our server is what stopped me from giving this restaurant 4 stars I ordered the fillet cooked to 145 degrees. Rare meat just turns my stomach. Lito brought our meal and placed my husbands fish in front of me. I thought that was strange since there were only three couples in the restaurant!! We were supposed to have garlic mashed potatoes and i couldnt taste any garlic. The potatoes wouldnt melt butter because they were lukewarm. My steak was cooked properly so i didnt want to complain about the potatoes. A manager came by and asked about our food so i politely said the potatoes could be warmer. She returned a few minutes later with fresh hot potatoes. They looked different so i quickly realized our original server hadn’t given us the garlic mashed potatoes we requested. My husband had Chilean Sea Bass special and he said it was really good. I thought $52 was alot when my fillet was $36. So all in all the food was good but an incompetent server knocked the experience down for us.

Nice steakhouse inside the South Point Casino. It's a higher-end western style restaurant. Steak was good, appetizers were awesome. My wife had the Salmon that she enjoyed. Dropped $700 for seven people with their big seafood appetizers. This would have cost me well over $1,200 up the strip. Similar food & ambience at half the price and no strip traffic to deal with and my customers enjoyed. A Win-Win for me...

The Silverado Steakhouse at SouthPoint is a really good venue for business dinner. Nightly specials off the menu. Had the Braised Boneless Beef Ribs with a wonderful Yukon Gold Mashed Potatos blended with creamy goat cheese. The need was fork tender and braising sauce was absolutely SUPERB!! Good selection of vodkas for martinis before dinner and a REALLY ICE COLD AND FRESH SHRIMP COCKTAIL with a sweet/hot sauce started the meal. Service was first class. We were seated at reservation time and wait staff were most helpful in suggestions of specials and wine service. One of my new must go places.

Birthday Dinner

By SherrieA |

This restaurant was in the top 20 steakhouses in Las Vegas and I chose Silverado Steakhouse because of the location and menu. I used Open Table to make reservations; we arrived on time & was seated in less than 5 minutes. The servers were very attentive & always smiling. The food was excellent; we ordered a ribeye and prime rib entree & I received a free creme brulee & birthday card. Noise level was moderate - more on the low noise level. Glad I did not have to talk loudly just to be heard and the patrons around us did not talk loud either. The menu prices are affordable and not too expensive for a steakhouse. If you go to one of the Steakhouses in a hotel on the Strip it will be a higher price menu. I definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Anniversary

By kathyhK9551WZ |

Elegant is the beginning of the adventure of this restaurant. Yes indeed, it is in The South. Point Casino. We are married 38 years and wanted to celebrate with a special dinner. Onion Soup to start. We were greeted with two glasses of champagne because we told them that it was our anniversary. 12 oz. Filet was exquisitely cooked to perfection. I ordered the grouper with a shrimp accent. A chocolate molten cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Jose was our server and made the experience dynamic.

Cut with a fork steak

Senior Mondays

By westie2 |

A senior promotion that runs each Monday at the South Point allows those of the silver set to dine at any of their restaurants and be charged only 1/2 points. Since my wife and I happen to be seniors, have previously enjoyed dinners at this restaurant and have the necessary points, it was pretty much a given for us to dine there on our recent trip. We also were allowed to use a funbook coupon for a bottle of May's featured wine, Storypoint cabernet sauvignon, that proved to be more than acceptable. Though sorely tempted, we took a pass on the proferred bread basket, but gratefully accepted the table side tossed salad. Each of us chose to have our 8 ounce filet mignons done rare with one choosing the always excellent baked potato and the other asparagus. Both steaks were cooked perfectly, tender and deli
