I stopped in here for a late lunch with my son and daughter while on our way from Portland to Crater Lake, having chosen Siri Thai based on the reviews I'd read. The reviews were spot on! The food was great. I had beef with green beans, my son had barbecue chicken, and my daughter had pot stickers. They were all excellent, well flavoured with just the right amount of spiciness. It was some of the best Thai food I've had, and if I'm ever back in Portland I'll make sure to stop in again.

Great place to relax and unwind, however you have to understand the waiters usually leave you alone. They won't hassle you every minute about the food or ask you annoying questions. This can be a problem when you're ready to pay and leave. However if you walk up to the counter or to the kitchen and let them know they will drop everything and get your bill settled. They also deliver, and you can also call ahead to order takeout and pick it up. Lately they have stopped playing Thai music, I'm guessing some people complained about it. I didn't mind the music at all but you can't please everybody. Bathrooms are surprisingly clean for a place that can get real busy. This restaurant also participates in a rewards program with other restaurants & hotels (?). I eat here frequently so I have gotten $5.00 in-store credit a few times from the rewards program.

Went for dinner and found this place to be charming, very good service and great food. We shared a papaya salad which was very fresh and flavorful. Had several different dishes, all were delicious. Service was great. A very good experience.

Ate here for dinner with a family group. Food was excellent, service was excellent. Pad Thai delicious, green curry very tasty. potstickers and salad rolls were very good. Everything was very good. Waitress gave a complimentary desert to one of the people celebrating a birthday.

We were off to buy houseplants for her new apartment and stopped at Siri Thai for a quick lunch. This was a bright sunny January Sunday when we drove up and parked. The curb appeal of the building is close to zero and all I could see was the OPEN sign in the window. It didn’t seem promising. The room was packed with people and we arrived in time to hear a rendition of Happy Birthday. We were seated at a window table decorated with a charger and a nicely folded napkin shaped like a crown. I ordered a scallop pad thai that was full of scallops, noodles, onions and great flavor. All of the other patrons appeared to be very happy with their orders, too. Great food, reasonable prices, friendly staff, Thai cooking—what else could you ask for?

This place opened up near my house years ago. I am always skeptical of new restaurants that pop up on Powell because I've seen so many of them come and go. I finally gave this place a shot after my favorite thai place on Hawthorne sold and the workers are SO nice and the curry is so good!! I have been back several times!

My daughter and I had spent the morning walking through blooming fields of dahlias and were famished. We also wanted to find somewhere near home and reasonably priced. Plus, since it was rainy, not a good day for a food cart...So we ended up at Siri Thai. The decor is lovely with very nice table settings and greenery, We ordered hot tea, which arrived in a large clear glass carafe and 2 cute double glass cups. Very modern and unusual! The lunch menu is reasonably priced with 1 page of Chinese dishes, and another with Thai. We ordered Pad Kee Mao and Red Curry. Our waitperson brought an extra dumpling for my daughter so we would each have one to try - nice touch! Both plates were delicious and we had plenty of food to share with each other. We even ended up taking leftovers home! By the time we finished, the restaurant was much busier so we actually had to seek out the waitperson to ask for the check and take out containers, since she didn't make it back to us. This restaurant will be on our permanent roster!

The decor is nice and the place is roomy. Service was good. The origami folded napkins were a nice touch. There was a huge selection of lunch specials at $6.95. When our food arrived there were ample portions half of which we took home for another meal. Our entrees Mussamon chicken and basil fried rice were delicious with the requested amount of spicy heat. Another plus was easy and ample parking. If I lived in Portland I would be a regular customer.

We went there with my family. the server is so nice. The Food is so good. Good interior, and Very good service. We will always come back.

On Monday night, a friend and her 2 year old and I went in search of a place to have dinner, while we were in town overnight, where they were flying out early the next morning. We thought we had found a place, but decided it wasn't a good place to take a toddler. We were on our way back to our hotel, and drove by this place. We decided to have dinner there. We walked in, it wasn't busy and we were immediately greeted and seated. The person may have been one of the owners. The menu was fairly extensive and very authentic. They accommodated us with the toddler without issue, providing an extra plate for her and a lidded cup of water for her, without even asking. The food was wonderful and delicious! The prices were very reasonable and the quantity was plentiful! For the 2 of us, with a beverage and appetizer, it was around $30. The atmosphere was very charming. I would definitely return there when in Portland!

Six of us ate here and everything was top notch. Good spices and the portions were larger than usually is the case in Thai restaurants. The salmon Penang curry was fabulous. Loved the mango sticky rice too. Service was good but not obtrusive.

I have eaten here a couple of times as I do not go to Portland offend. But I would make a special trip for this authentic restaurant. It's not fancy BUT the food is so good and great service. Portions are generous and just GREAT food. We eat and cook a ton of Thai food and this place as my kids said the best Thai food in the PNW they have eaten.

This restaurant has very good food, wide menu selection. Restaurant warmly decorated They even deliver to your home within a 2 mile radius and do lots of take out

First time I've been here.... great menu lots of choices... casual atmosphere.. good service.. food really good...had the orange chicken..yummy.. chicken satay skewers... reasonable prices...had to take some home to enjoy the next day 😋

Wonderful food, service and people. My sister-in law took us here. Will defiantly go back. It is one of their favorite places. Now I know why.

Went in for lunch and we were greeted and sat down. The hot Thai tea was good and the appetizer and food we ordered were very yummy. My only complaint is that once we were done eating we sat there for at least 20mins without anyone coming back to check on us. Three other tables got seated and got their drinks and first food dishes. Other than those 3 tables. We were the only other table there at the time. So it wasn't busy at all. We were seriously just going to walk out. We didn't see the lady who helped us originally. She might of gone on a break. But finally one of the workers waved down the guy who sat the other tables to come check on us. No sorry for the wait. Just handed us the check and we were on our way. There was plenty of staff hanging out near the back and yet no one came over. The food was good so I would probably go again at some point. But that wasn't good customer service at the end.

This was my first time here, but my daughter and her husband are regulars. The choices are many and I always seems to order the same thing in every Thai place. This time, it was different and I had the Pad See Ew with chicken. Seriously, I could have devoured it all (and the portions were sizeable), but chose to take leftovers home. One daughter had the Pumpkin Curry and loved it. Someone else had the Pineapple Rice with chicken. Apparently, that's what HE always orders because it was so good. Every plate we saw coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled wonderful. It's not a fancy place, but comfortable, and the prices are very reasonable.

The first thing I notice was the décor and ambiance. It has gorgeous lavish warm tones, lots of greenery, and beautiful Thai statues. It feels inviting and relaxing. The service was A+ as they didn't miss a thing and were always attentive. We noticed while walking by the front window before entering that the portions are large, so we took that into account and ordered one entree, an appetizer, and a Thai iced tea (sweet!). We decided on the crab puffs and the massaman beef curry. The crab puffs even had a complimentary spring roll or two on the plate! Everything was packed full of flavorful goodness. The bill was around $17 plus tip and we even took home some leftovers. I'm so happy to say that we finally found our favorite Thai spot in Portland!
We loved Siri Thai!
We live a few hours from Portland, but were on our way to an appointment there, and stopped to pick up take out for lunch with our son, who lives in SE Portland. I chose Siri Thai based on convenient location and other online reviews, and I'm so glad I did. The place is nicely decorated, and spotlessly clean. I know there is a Thai place on every corner in SE Portland, but this is the winner. The food was delicious; we ordered ginger chicken, sweet and sour pork, pineapple fried rice, and pad thai, all at #3 level of hotness, which was just right. Service was quick and friendly, and the owner spent some time visiting with us as we waited. A very nice man! Prices were very reasonable, and they threw in an order of yummy potstickers. I recommended it to all my SE Portland family and friends, and I think you should go there too!
