Nice evening.

The food and service was excellent. Loved the atmosphere. I did not make the best choice in wine and I will try something different next time. Maybe it was psychological, because it was a screw top instead of a cork. I remember years ago when only wines like Ripple and Boones Farm came in screw tops. I did not expect a screw top on a $68 bottle of wine.

One of my new favorites!

Sister is the perfect spot for a shared, family-style meal with great ambiance. One of my new favorites in Dallas. Highlights included the house-made focaccia and the rich, flavorful lobster burrata. The menu is full of dishes meant to be passed around — definitely come hungry so you can try as many as possible. A warm, lively spot ideal for a night out.

Good Service, Mixed Food Quality, Pleasant but Forgettable Experience

We decided to try this restaurant based on a recommendation through our Chase Sapphire Reserve membership, and we made a reservation over a month in advance for our anniversary. Reservation was easy, and valet parking was available (appears to be complimentary, with optional tip), which is helpful given the challenging parking situation in the area. Even on a Wednesday evening, the restaurant was surprisingly full. When we arrived, the hostess informed us that despite our reservation, there was no indoor seating available and offered patio seating instead, which we accepted. This was a bit disappointing, especially given how far in advance we booked and the fact that we noted it was our anniversary — there was nothing particularly special or thoughtful about that acknowledgment. Service-wise, our waitress was excellent: kind, polite, attentive, and professional. She brought us a complimentary drink (possibly champagne or a brewed cocktail). It was fine — not great, but appreciated. Food experience: • PIQUILLO PEPPER TAHINI DIP with house pita: Very disappointing. The tahini was okay, but the pita bread was extremely chewy — to the point that my wife couldn’t eat it. We left most of it. The waitress said she would let the chef know. • Fried eggplant dish (small platter): Excellent. This was one of the highlights of the meal and very well done. • Vegetarian options: My wife is vegetarian, and while the staff offered to remove meat from dishes, it was disappointing that there were no dedicated vegetarian pasta options — something you would typically expect at a quality Italian-style restaurant. • Her pasta dish: Dry and underwhelming. I’d rate it about a 5/10. • My dish WILD “BOARANAISE” : Excellent. Very flavorful, filling, and easily the best main dish we had. • Dessert (chocolate custard cake): Dry and not memorable. • Salt level: My dish had something on top that was noticeably salty — a bit overpowering, though the flavor itself was still good. Wine: • My wife had a Pinot Nero — she enjoyed it. • I had a COLLAZZI ‘LIBERTA’ (Shiraz/Merlot/Sangiovese blend) — decent, about a 6/10. If you like Pinot Noir, you’ll enjoy Pinot Nero. Most other options were bottles, which we didn’t want. Bill: About $150 plus tip for two people — I’d classify this as a mid-range restaurant. Overall: The experience was pleasant, servers were excellent , and a few dishes were genuinely enjoyable (especially the eggplant and WILD “BOARANAISE”). However, the reservation/seating issue, lack of strong vegetarian options, uneven food quality, and average dessert make it hard to justify a return visit. If it wasn’t for the Chase Sapphire Reserve recommendation, I probably would have chosen to try other places instead. Rating: 3.5/5 Good service, mixed food quality, and a decent experience — but not memorable enough to prioritize coming back.

Sister’s has “Tasty” food in a relaxing atmosphere!

Taylor was an awesome waitress! I travel a lot and in town visiting my daughter. All the food was amazing. We rated everything a “5” which is rare. The 3 of us shared all the dishes and both deserts. Overall favorite was the Pesto Fusilli. Crusted Redfish was cooked to perfection.$180 for 3 and we all had a glass of wine. If you want a relaxing fabulous meal then dine with “Sister”.
