Met family here for brunch on Sunday, lots of choices and everyone finished their food, even the 3 year old (with help from dad). Place is funky but the service and food are good and the prices are reasonable

The food was good, the burrata with cantaloupe was interesting and good, and the roasted beets well done. We also shared a burger which was cooked like we asked, the meat was good, toppings of quality and a really good bun. Of the two cocktails we had one was really good (the rye cocktail), another one really basic and blend (for $13). The service is what is really making me give only 3 stars. Everything took a really long time even though we were sitting at the bar and could see the staff talking/drinking cocktails.

My wife and I Ubered here for the music, and hoped for OK food. The food was a lot better than we expected, and the live jazz was wonderful, but was treated by the 20-30-somethings as background radio music, almost spoiling the evening for us. OK if you don't want to bother applauding great solos, or contribute to the pot for the musicians, but why on earth would you sit at tables right near the stage laughing continuously and uproariously, raising the level of your conversation as the music gets louder? The musicians said they were resigned to the fact that playing in a restaurant that has occasional music was very different from playing at a music venue that serves food. We'll follow the musicians to a venue more respectful of the music.

This used to be a hardware store; now it's a hip restaurant. The space is lovely and the decor is fun, the drinks are okay, the food can't quite carry through its aspirations, though they do try. I've dined here a handful of times and they never seem to cook a steak to the proper temp. But it's a neighborhood standby if all else fails.

The front half of this place is the restaurant and relatively much quieter than the rear bar where people were blasting music (borderline too loud). Good place to meet up with friends. Next time I will try the food!

We were in the mood for tomato soup and grilled cheese on a bitterly cold day and my companion remembered Sisters from when she lived in the neighborhood and it was one of her favorite spots for good drinks and a late night meal. The food was excellent, the bread for the grilled cheese exactly what it should be—substantial white bread with enough heft to handle the cheese and grill up well, and the tomato soup was more spicy than bland canned, and that too was a winner. When we ordered green tea it came loose in a strainer, just the way I like it. Their craft cocktails looked awesome, but I’ll save that for a future trip when I’m up for day drinking. I’d definitely go back.

The interior design of Sisters is beautiful, with a lot of sunshine and light colors. Despite the cool vibe, the brunch food was average. My egg shakshuka was lumpy and watery, and my friend's Kale salad was something I could have made at home. The Bloody Mary, however, was quite tasty.

We had Sunday brunch and all was great. Greeted & seated quickly, the atmosphere is modern & bright. The brunch menu choices are not lengthy but I would have been happy with almost any & all. Our party ordered 3 different meals, all were excellent. Service ( Austin) was also excellent, and the prices are very fair. A really great discovery!

At the restaurant now. Found a very long piece of hair entangled in my kale caesar salad. I informed the waiter and he told me it was impossible for it to be from them because they only have bald Mexicans working in their kitchen. We chose not to box up the rest of the food for obvious reasons but was charged the full price. No accountability whatsoever combined with racist overtones (only Mexicans working in the kitchen). Wow!!!

Really not sure about the interior.. which matched the music the night we went.. but.. perfect IPA, burger and fries... so.. what's not to like.

This place is adorable and the people who work there are very nice. Waitress and hostess both lovely. The food was delicious. I would definitely go back and definitely reccomend.

Loved the eclectic, upbeat vibe in this small restaurant. Lots of millennials enjoying beer and cocktails at the curved bar, served by casually dressed bartenders of the same age. Music was funky and loud, but we were still able to have a conversation at our table. Small menu and for the most part, unpretentious and thoughtfully prepared and presented food. My kale salad was a bit overdressed; goat cheese appetizer was a big hit, although we needed to ask for more bread. Chicken sandwich and Reuben were tasty; yummy fries. Great service.

Been here with a group of families, its different, with bright seats and interior, the food also good, as well as drink, good service

Burgers were very good and also potatoes. Staff was like a little bit sleepy, but I like very much the food. My husband was not happy because of the waiter who was not very helpful, we spoke french and would like some informations about the menu...

Sisters is a cool vibe bar/restaurant on Fulton. The huge sky lights, 2 bars and cool atmosphere really are inviting. For lunch we had the grilled cheese with fries;grain bowl with a fried egg; and the cheddar burger with the arugula salad. Each meal was very large and justified the higher prices. The fries were outstanding! We have been by in the evenings and it has been packed.

The place is well-lit with a decorative partially glass ceiling. The atmosphere is excellent - noisy for a good vibe, yet not too much, and you can easily speak with one another. I've tried both versions of french toast - the 'regular' - with berries and cream, which is great. And the savory one as well - with pork, cheddar, and fried egg - was superb! From a quick peek at other dishes that came out, the smoked salmon dish and the burger both look great. But haven't tried it - yet! I can also share the coffee is also great, yet I haven't tried the cocktails yet. Well, something to keep in mind for my next round here ;) Loved it!

Went here for dinner and drinks, weren't disappointed by any stretch of the imagination. Sweet potato fries are a must have. Also the burger and chicken sandwich were fresh and cooked to perfection.

Loud restaurants that stifle any hope of conversation have been a long and well documented lament of many New Yorkers and a constant criticism of New York restaurants. This review can be added to that legacy of complaints. Sisters Restaurant, the current creation from Damon Gorton of Flatbush Farms fame, is a carefully crafted restaurant space which previously served as a hardware store. Considered "American Nouveau" with a large skylight and attractive marble bar as a set piece, much attention (and money) was placed on the vibe one gets upon entering the door. It's all very sleek and kudos to the designer. Then there is the sound, not the noise from other patrons, but a music sound level worthy of a college bar during homecoming weekend. After repeating my request to be seated at least twice to the host, who was either oblivious or audibly challenged, we were seated in a small space across from the bar. We both observed our table and silverware vibrating from the bass notes of either a live band or DJ in the rear of restaurant (or a carefully placed speaker in the floor beneath our table). Oh, and to add, this was a Sunday evening in which the restaurant was half empty. On to the food, which was not the main reason why we chose Sisters. The menu was sectioned into "Little Bit," "Little Bit More" and "A Bit More," along with sandwich and salad sections. Another selling point is the now infamously overused label, "locally sourced" which has since lost its cache. My dinner date chose the risotto, myself the endive salad and brussel sprouts. Despite the inability to communicate with our waiter over the now thumping bass, our selections were served promptly. Careful attention was also made to keep the wine glasses full. In the end, the quality of the locally sourced food was mediocre. The meal was more long on wine and short on food. The majority of our selections were left uneaten. Not that we could communicate with each other as to the pleasures or displeasures of the meal. We were, however, both happy to leave to the peace and quiet of Fulton Street. I always give a wide berth to restaurants after only one meal. Everyone has an off-night, including locally sourced kitchens. What cannot be dismissed is a carefully imagined restaurant by an established restauranteur who chooses to stifle this environment with unnecessary noise. Sisters Restaurant is highly recommended for anyone hoping to avoid conversation or who find conversation is no longer part of enjoying a shared meal.

Went with a friend around 1pm. Wait time was 30 minutes, but for the bar we only waited ~10 minutes. Ordered ORPHAN TRISTANA (gin based coctail) which was no more than ok. I had the LEADEN CLOAK which, if you're a coffee liquor fan, was great! Sides of Bacon, Avocado were great. Fries were perfect. The SAVORY FRENCH TOAST was incredible, highly recommended! The FRITTATA was nice, but wasn't special. Unfortunately I had to settle for it despite having changed my order from the above to REUBEN SANDWICH but the waitress misunderstood me and didn't feel they were open enough to admit it and change the dish. That, along the fact it was incredibly hot in there (because of the sun coming in from the roof) took away one start from my rating to this place. All in all it's a great place for a Sunday brunch. Do expect loud music. Enjoy!

The area that it is in has some new and interesting cafes. This one was a disappointment. There was nothing particularly appetizing about the food. The second time we went it appeared that the waiter did not want to serve us. It was not crowded and one of the waitresses took her time spray cleaning and digging dirt from around the inlaid sections of the tables. Disgusting work that should really be done when they are closed. We decided giving it a try twice was more than enough! I've heard they have good musical evenings but have not gone since one event we looked at appeared pricey.

The atmosphere is very nice in this restaurant / bar. We had a duck and fennel sausage, burrata and veg burger. Everything was well cooked and made with fresh ingredients. Stout beer was super tasty

We were greeted and seated immediately as we had reservations. The food wasn’t anything amazing but it wasn’t terrible either. The sandwiches don’t come with any greens or any side for that matter. I also found an egg shell in my plate and there wasn’t any sort of apology or offer for newly made dish. In fact there was absolutely no accommodation for the mistake. Safe to say I should’ve taken the previous reviews into account when choosing to dine here, will not be returning. Absolute disappointment.

We’ve been here on a quieter weeknight and a busy weekend. I would recommend coming when it’s quieter. It’s a great restaurant but I think the kitchen gets overwhelmed when it’s busier which leads to a drop in quality. Great date night spot. Great cocktails and food, just make sure it’s not too busy!

I start this by saying I remember the great hardware store that this site once was. The new design for the restaurant is practical and spectacular. Quite a change and exceedingly attractive. The food and service are of the best in the area. Late night music and dancing happens on many nights with a DJ in a raised booth and it can be loud and fun. We like to eat without that and so plan to be there earlier in the evening. We are in the Clinton Hill area occasionally, so we have stopped in a couple of times for lunch and dinner. This time around we caught a late-night with no music. We ordered just about all the appetizers and had fun sampling. Good wine too.

Walking into Sisters, your first impression is of open exposed beams, skylights, and an energetic vibe pulsating to Indie music. The food is just as good as the ambiance. The sliced avocado adorning the egg sandwich with arugula melted in our mouths. As someone who adores short ribs, I devoured the chiliquales (say ‘chilly-killies’), a creative blend of shredded short rib, fried egg, and tomatilla green sauce. Even the fruit bowl was beautifully presented with perfectly sweetened slices of blood oranges, honey crisp apple, and pear nestled on top of purple swiss chard. Sisters is just the place to bring local produce, organic meats, light, and energy to this up-and-coming neighborhood.

We went to Sisters and had a wonderful meal. The food was fresh and served straight from the heart. Service was a bit slower than we would have liked and our server might have been more knowledgeable about the food, but in the end we spent time together and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Thank you 🙏🏽
Seemed OK for drinks
We sat at the bar for drinks. The atmosphere was good and the decor was interesting. The bartenders were more interested in talking to their friends than waiting on us (yes, it was not that busy). I don't want to become the bartender's life long busy, but the time between looping around was pretty long. The drinks were really good, which kinda saved the place, in my mind. Pink Orpheus seemed to be the best, but the others were all tasty. A little dingy, but not in a horrible way.
