Visiting son in NE Portland---arrived Saturday May 11 and were hungry after a 6-7 hour drive. We ordered a veggie plzza with sausage added. It was delicious! The crust is thin, like NY or Chicago style, but with less oil. I had to stop myself from eating at least half of the pizza. Definitely worth a stop or delivery when in Portland.

I was walking toward the Hollywood Theater when I came to this pizza Place. Stopped and stared as I didn't remember a Sizzle Pie being here the last time I was in the area. So I walked inside to have a look. The music playing was Rock or Punk. and the pizza displayed was ACE OF SPADES PEPPERONI. I love the band Motorhead so that had me from the get go it right there. I just had to try a slice of this and have a beer too! The Pizza tastes great. and the place is wild. I loved the artwork! Also rock themed or comic book stuff. done with tongue in cheek. Pizza satire. And the names of the pizza are a riot to read in the menu. I plan to pop in here every time I happen to be in the area.

Just as the other reviewer, I was walking by the Hollywood Theater on my way to the Hollywood Branch Library when I came to this pizza place. I didn't remember a Sizzle Pie being here the last time I was in the area, so I too walked inside to have a look. There were many pizzas on display -I chose the ACE OF SPADES pepperoni and a soft drink. Quick service and very good pizza. I think it's an excellent location, especially by the theater, and I will come back!

Efficient, organized service, loud music coming from the speakers. People didn't seem to mind it, but we like something a bit more mellow. Call us old-fashioned. This crowd has plenty of tattoos and a bit rough around the edges. Seating was a bit warm in the evening sun. The vegan choice for Pizza week was O.K., but nothing to write home about. Not a conducive environment to relax, so I probably won't be back.

Visited this restaurant while I trip to Portland Oregon. It’s in a great neighborhood a lot of locals are dining here and the pizza is delicious.

Great place to get a giant slice of Pizza. Great sauce, love this place. Fast service, close to everything. The crust is really good as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was attending the SEP Noir Festival at The Hollywood Theater when I saw temptation along the wall. It was The Pie Hole. and place where you see a Sizzle Pie T-shirt displayed as well as a couple pizzas. Yes, you can order slices of Pizza to eat while you are watching a film at the Hollywood Theater. Wow now that is excellent. I like their pizzas and their location at the corner of the block. So closed to the Hollywood Theater. Generally this is where I will go to kill time before a film. They also have a Sizzle Pie Punch Card where you can get a FREE slice when you have completed the eleven punches on the card. Yes, I have one. I have a few punches to go before I achieve FREE Pizza slice nirvana.
Casual, Fun, and Full of Flavor
Sizzle Pie was such a fun Portland experience! It’s a smaller spot, but totally manageable for a sit-down meal and it carries that authentic Portland vibe that makes you feel right at home. The pizza selection is excellent—I sampled a few different slices, and while the vegan option wasn’t my favorite (probably because I’m not vegan), the others were absolutely terrific. The knots were a standout too: warm, flavorful, and the perfect side to share. We also enjoyed the casual selection of soda fountain beverages as a stand out against 'the man'. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit even better. Whether you’re in the mood for just a quick slice or a full pie, Sizzle Pie is a great stop for anyone looking for casual, tasty, no-frills pizza with plenty of Portland character.
