Good meals in fast food setting.

By peterperfect2 |

Typical American fast food style restaurant. Choose a meal from the board and pay as you enter. I ae there three nights in a row becaus it was next to my hotel, the food and wine was good and reasonably priced. Small 8 oz steak + small lobster $19.99 Very small lobster + 8 shrimp $13.99 Salad bar an extra $4. Wine at $14 per bottle or $4.50 per glass. Don't expect it to be a resaurant style place and you won't be disappointed.

Highly Recommended Sizzler Next Door to the Holiday Inn Express

By Allan S |

After a long flight from London we checked in to the Holiday Inn Express and were recommended the Sizzler for a quick snack. We were not disappointed. We each had a Large Salad with Ranch Dressing followed by Bacon Cheeseburger with fries/vegetables and free refill Sodas all of which was very tasty and excellent value for money. The staff were very pleasant and helped us understand the menu/ordering process and they also offered us a discount as we were clients of the Holiday Inn Express. We enjoyed it so much that, on our return to LAX, we visited again before returning our hire car to the nearby Dollar Rent a Car. Highly recommended!

As Good As I Remember

By ExpoNationals |

Years have passed since I last stepped foot into a Sizzlers restaurant. We no longer have a branch in my hometown. I didn't even know that they still existed. So what brought us here? My Dad was craving Chili and Clam Chowder soup on a Monday of all days. I searched online, and Sizzler was one of the first places that popped up. Called their number, and found out that they had both available that evening at their All You Can Eat Salad bar. I forgot that Sizzler is not a traditional sit down restaurant. You place your order at the counter, and then find a table to dine at. Both my Dad and I chose to go with the All You Can Eat Salad bar. My nephew ordered their Steak and Pasta. He enjoyed his meal, and said the steak was cooked just right. He also liked the Cheese Toast a lot. Both Dad and I were pleased with the Salad Bar. It had more options than I thought it would. In addition to salads, there was also some chicken wings, mac & cheese, and a taco bar. Even some desserts were offered such as soft serve ice cream with all kinds of toppings. I especially liked the yummy banana pudding. It was a very good experience. Service was fine. Nice clean environment. Enjoyed watching the basketball game on their tv displays which were situated around the restaurant. Well, if ever I crave for Sizzler again, I now know where to go.

Best Salad bar

By Monica P |

When I visit California I love to go to Sizzler. Best Salad bar (all you can eat) ever. I recommend this restaurant.

Poor quality food

By HammoIJ |

Food was of poor quality, lacked taste. Service was good and folks were friendly though. Would not return.

Average food

By AvguyKfarSaba_Israel |

First time I visited this chain and found the food quite average but wholesome. My wife had to return the steak because it came well done instead of medium.

Great Value for Money

By arbourvista |

We were looking for a quick meal and tried this restaurant. We both had steak which came prepared as requested. Quality was very good. The salad bar had a good choice of food and our server was great. Not a lot of ambiance, but great food and value for money.

Good Food, Great Price

By gigim717 |

The food was satisfying at a reasonable price. A little disappointed that the salad bar area had been reduced in size and items offered. I had the BBQ & Chicken combo with baked potato. The BBQ was overcooked but had a good taste the sauce was very good. The chicken breast was just right, but the baked potato was a little overcooked. My friend had the salad bar and said it was very good, especially the cheddar broccoli soup.

DEAL

If you want to eat a lot, then don’t hesitate to come here! You don’t really have to order anything, just pick the salad bar option(13$) and you’ll have a huge variety of food to choose. Even ice cream was included...

OK

Best Sizzler I've ever been to!

By traveltherapy33 |

I have been eating at Sizzler since the 1980's. It's my happy go to, but over the years I have been disappointed with the quality of food, until yesterday. I had never been to this Sizzler, but because I was in town on business and it was close to my hotel, I gave it a shot. First of all, I was greeted by the friendliest people I've met in years. The manager, Angela, was attentive, engaging, and a true pleasure to speak with. Then the salad bar: I will never go to Souplantation again! Their kale salad with mint and feta is so refreshing. All of their pre-made salads were better than ever and full of delicious and colorful veggies. The chicken and wild rice soup was so on point, and their clam chowder, tastier than ever. I was pleased as punch, and then, my steak: Perfection. Cooked perfectly medium rare, just the way I like it. I was staying at The Renaissance LAX and went down to the restaurant for lunch, but my food was seriously lacking, so I came here for dinner. I highly recommend this Sizzler to anyone that loves the chain, or is a lover of all things steak and salad bar! :)

Friendly efficient service, great salad bar

By Gail G |

The restaurant was busy and very friendly with fast efficient service. We had a small 6oz steak which came with a choice of sides and a make your own salad. The salad bar was the star of the show and freshly stocked. Good choice if you don’t want to go far after a long day.

Value for money

By EDED084 |

A reasonably nice place on the roadside with large food value meals including a large salad bar. Friendly service.

Best Food For The Price in LA!

Tasty & Fresh Food

By Harold R |

We had diviner at the Sizzler Restaurant at 5856 W Manchester Ave in LA California. The atmosphere was terrific. There are several televisions that had different programs on. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fresh, properly prepared, well seasoned and very tasty. The salad bar had fresh ingredients. The Texas toast was so delicious. The lemonade was perfect. My wife is highly allergic to shellfish. Sizzler was able to accommodate her because they fry shellfish (shrimp) in a different vat than French fries and other fried meats. Good food and terrific staff!

Good., But Bring Back the Great Salad Bar

By elizabethlascheid |

I would reduce this review to a 3 if not for the excellent service and that is sad because it used to be our favorite Sizzler. Things have changed and they need to bring back what made them special. The first issue is they now insist you valet park. This is because the Kia Forum is across the street and they don't want people parking for a show. I know, put up signs and tow away the cars after two hours and all those after closing. It costs Sizzler nothing and the City makes money. Problem solved. Instead they expect me, not at a fine dinning place, to let someone park my car and then tip them. Just no. Don't punish the patrons for the bad behavior of others. I was going to the Forum that night and I would never park at Sizzler to go to a show. As to the food, I had a burger with mashed potatoes and the salad bar. The burger was great. A 5 for sure. The mashed potatoes were wonderful. But it all went downhill when we all went to the salad bar. They used to have the best one. They had corn bread and mac and cheese and other cool stuff. Not anymore. It is now boring and bland. They have the pasta bar, one choice only, the salad ingredients are nothing special, they used to be. They still have the taco bar and the meat is bland and not kept warm enough and the cheese is not great. Get it together or we won't be back. The place could have been cleaner and the soft serve ice cream was not even close to ice cream, it tasted like ice milk. The service, however, was great, as always. We were checked on several times, brought fresh plates when needed and they gave us 3 garlic toasts which were amazing. My grandson loved it. He ate 2 of them. I really need you, Sizzler, to bring back the great and stop with the boring. My rating of 4 is a gift. I won't be so kind next time. And thank the servers, they are the ones that made this Sizzler a 4.

Good Lunch

By motorcity70 |

Stopped here after a flight for a quick lunch and some of the famous Sizzler Cheese Toast! Meal and service were good. Worth consideration if near LAX.

yes i have an interesting deal.

yes i would like to see my 26th birthday for shailene woodley and daniel lynch for my birthday in california

Pay before you eat dining

By Kelly M |

You order off the menu on the wall and pay for it. If you order a salad, they give you a bowl for the salad bar. You sit down and they serve you your meal. I had steak tips and veggies. It was good. Ambiance was like a diner - open and not private.

Convenient if you're in the Holiday Inn Express

By capeverdeinsider |

One of the nicest burgers I had on our trip. Service was excellent. Food came quickly. The salad bar offered a lot of choice. Reasonably priced and the usual huge American portions (according to us Brits anyway!). Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.

Reliable

By Nicole D |

Not super cheap, but good value. There is an extensive salad bar including fruit and some hot foods (wings, tacos, mac & cheese). The meals themselves are okay - steaks are a step below 'Outback', for example, but they're fine. A dinner for two including salad bars and softdrinks runs under $50.00 generally. That's pretty good for Los Angeles.

Great Feed

By oneforme |

We had two meals at this Sizzlers and it was fantastic, best service and value for money that you could find. Loved all the little mexican treats they had ie Tacos, Enchiladas, Burritos etc.

Probably the best chain restaurant

By motorcar1 |

Had lunch here today on the way to LAX to catch our flight back to Dublin. Fabulous salad and fruit bar. Great value steak, chicken and fish combo at reasonable prices. You can get wine and beer too. Second time here and excellent both times.

Great Salads!

By wandrincruzers |

We chose to fill a take-out container with a variety of salads and pay by weight. This is a great option and gave us exactly what we wanted. Thanks Sizzler!

Great-Tasting Steak

By fgmoria |

I have had one of the best-tasting steaks here in Sizzler. The meat was cooked just the way I wanted it, and seasoned perfectly. My 86-year-old mother enjoyed the central area where one could get salads, soups and other light stuff. Customer service was very commendable. The prices of the food relative to the serving size were also reasonable.

Surprisingly good

By happyflyer45 |

Often avoid chain places especially near airports like LAX. But this Sizzler was good. Had the steak and lobster combo. Small steak and a lobster tail. As good as any I have had in high priced places. They had a well stocked salad and soup bar. New England clam chowder was good. Also had a pasta bar and taco bar. It was do it yourself dessert bar with soft ice cream and toppings for cones or dish and banana pudding. You order and pay when you come in. Don't like tipping up front but the table service asking if i wanted more and bringing me items was excellent. Left tip on table. Good experience.

Surprised but somewhat Dismayed

By David O |

We had never experienced Sizzler and as we were hungry, we thought that we would give it a try. The service at first was quick and professional. Our meals were served quickly and hot, and most importantly, the steaks were served exactly as we requested. The salad bar was good and it was nice to see them offer chicken wings and tacos at the salad bar. Our server was very quick at first and changed our salad bar plates quickly. As well, she refilled my drink. After an incredibly hot day, it was welcome. She came to us to say that she would be on break. We thought that she took great efforts to serve us. But she never came back and we literally had no service for the rest of the meal. We had no server come to our table and although we waited, we were virtually ignored by the staff. We only wanted to ask a question and get a refill for my wife, but that never happened. We left a little confused. It seems that they want to serve people well, but why the cold shoulder?

Great salad bar

By Oklahoman57 |

We had just arrived in LA and were looking for a place to eat close to our hotel. Staff members recommended the Sizzler behind the hotel. It offers steaks, seafood, etc., but the large salad bar was more than enough to fill us up. Great salads, fresh fruit, tacos, spaghetti, plus desserts were all available for just $10.99 at the "endless salad bar." The tres leches cake was my favorite. It was wonderful and melted in my mouth. Our waiter was very attentive and kind. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially travelers.

Consistently good over the years.

By poesy3 |

Love their salad bar. Iced tea pretty good too. Hope they're still around for my next visit. Service is always good to refill our beverages.

The place to go for all you can eat!

By Karen R |

We always make at least one visit to this Sizzler location when we visit Los Angeles. Both of us love the Senior Salad and Soup Bar....all the salad, soup, bread, tacos, and ice cream you want. And on special occasions, we also have either the seafood or steaks. The food is always excellent, the servers are friendly and responsive, the price is reasonable, and you leave stuffed to the gills. I only wish we had this brand in Florida

Great Choices

By TravellingTarns |

If you are staying at the Holiday Inn Express then this restaurant is just behind. A fantastic place to have dinner while you are waiting for a late night flight. Prices are very reasonable and plenty of choices. Will do a take out meal if you are in a hurry. Gluten Free can be catered for.

fantastic value

By kitanddan |

Amazing salad bar - with lots of fresh fruit, seeds, fresh ingrediants like cauliflower. Great steak tips, with their wonderful fried bread. Kids (and I) loved the serve-yourself soft ice cream & syrups. Easily the best family meal.

Convenient to Holiday Inn Express/LA airport

By BTN74 |

Restaurant if clean and has a good menu for travelers looking for a quick meal before touring city or leaving to go to airport.

Great Sizzler Taste

By Chris N |

Years ago we visited Sizzler in Australia and Canada. Found out there was a Sizzler near our hotel and popped round there for dinner for old times sake. As closing time was 9pm we rolled in around 8:15pm feeling worried we won't be welcomed because of the closing time. We were surprised by the friendliness of the staff welcoming us. We ordered steak and lobster tail combo and were not only blown away by the taste but how perfect the portion size was. Steak was cooked as we wanted it to be, medium rare, and the lobster tail was excellent. Portion size was perfect - didn't feel like a beached whale afterwards and not "still hungry" either. This Sizzler definitely rekindled our much loved Sizzler experience and memories from over a decade ago, thank you for that!

Drop or pick up rental and get good lunch or dinner

Fantastic salad bar, fast service and good quality. It is also super to have a business lunch near to the LAX.

good food, service not so great

The food was good and tasty, but service could have been better. many choices, very clean, great dessert

Terrible! Avoid!

By David W |

I was served possibly the worst steak ever. After two mouthfuls I complained to the waitress. Although she was sympathetic the manager offered a refund of 2 dollars from my bill. I regarded this as an an insult and refused. Do yourself a favour and avoid this establishment. Poor customer service.

Nice to be back!! Indoor Dining safe - The Food & Service GREAT!!

By Joe G. Bear |

Our family decided to eat inside of Sizzler Steak House on Manchester and Airport Bl. (Westchester) Sun. April 18th, 2021. We felt it was safe as were fully vaccinated (Covid-19 vaccine) and wore our masks until we were seated and socially distanced from other guests. Our waiter “Tony” was superb in all categories, as he was a “One Man Band” by not just serving our table, but FIVE other tables surrounding us!!! He didn’t miss a beat. I personally had my favorite Sizzler meal “Steak & Malibu Chicken” - it was excellent!! The cheese toast was the only disappointment, as it didn’t taste cheesy or had much cheese topping, to me it tasted like garlic bread. I hope they’ll fix that quickly, as the Sizzler Cheese Bread has been my ultimate favorite side for decades. My Dad, Uncle and sister enjoyed their meals. FOUR CLAWS UP!!!! I’ve been coming here since I was a young cub in the mid 1970’s when it was known as “Stuart Anderson’s Sizzler Steak House” - Thanks for reading my review. Joe G. Bear - Redondo Beach, CA

Clean establishment, great service, can't beat the deal.

The lunch buffet includes a nice salad bar, a few hot entree selections plus desserts for under 10 bucks along with warm rolls and butter brought to your table. Friendly service and tasty food at an awesome price. Bathrooms super clean.

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!

By JayWalk7 |

I hope this is the one that we went to, which was near the airport. I had not been to Sizzler in years and the salad bar is absolutely amazing. If I lived in LA I could eat their easily 3 times a week without batting an eye. The greens in the salad were vibrant and a robust color and the variety was fabulous!! I just had the Salad Bar and it was very filling and very healthy especially for those wanting to practice a plant-based diet.

Worst Tasing Wine Ever!

By Phillip A |

This store had the WORST tasting wine I ever bought! I remember as a young adult Thunder Bird wine what Bums used to drink tastes better than this Stuff Line 39! You can do better!

Great for the Price

By PlatinumMember174 |

This is a great restaurant for Lunch and even Dinner. Very good steaks at a very good price. The slad bar is more than adequate you will be surprised at all the Items on the salad bar and soup bar. The steaks are very good. There is no way you can find more food for the price than you can here

Avoid the steak and chicken

By Happiness114528 |

We ordered steak and chicken combo. Steak was similar to very cheap/thin/fatty steak you might get at say a high school cafeteria - so much fat, I hardly got any steak to eat. The chicken was super gross - it was processed chicken patty breaded with cheese on top. Not sure which was more gross - the steak or chicken. I have no idea why people were eating here - maybe it's the salad bar that has other food on it. Free garlic toast was also difficult to eat. McDonald's was better.

Good for a quick bite while travelling

By CanJam_Traveller |

Excellent service and speed of food preparation. Salad bar has great selection. Staff are very helpful and attentive.

Good value family meal

By T G |

It was what you expect from Sizzler but the best part was the awesome service provided by Sindy. Thanks

TOTAL DOLLAR VALUE

By Tony H |

The customer friendly service was only matched by the quality of the food that we ordered. The salad bar was well stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables. Our server, Veronica, was kind enough to point out the additional savings for senior citizens, as well as retired military personnel. This, along with her total dedication to professionalism, made for a nice dining experience while we were awaiting our plane to take off. BRAVISSIMA!!

They are open for dine in!

Good spot for dinner if staying at the Holiday Inn Express at LAX

By ashcheshire |

Came here as the Holiday Inn Express had no restaurant we needed dinner during an overnight stop over to Hawaii. Restaurant was great and met our needs. Good salad bar and nice burgers. seafood. Seemed quite popular with locals and had that chain feel but was perfect for us for a quick meal before returning to the hotel.

Fantastic value and great food

By 738holiday |

The sizzler buffet is great any where, but the food was fresh extremely tasty and there was lots of it. We don't get to Sizzlers very often, but this would certainly be one of the best Sizzlers we have been to. There is something for everyone, the grandchildren all have their favourite dishes too. I thought the corn chowder and the chicken wings were excellent.

Good food!

By CoCo W |

We went on a Saturday night for dinner Around 8pm, not super busy. Food was good, you can order from a menu and they bring it out to you or you can purchase a salad bar and serve yourself on a mini buffet. Free ice cream bar for Everyone was the best part!

Got a burger, ate a burger, paid nine bucks

By Yellow V |

We went here for the lunch specials. It was kind of odd, between a fastfood and a sit down environment. The waitress was not very attentive, we ran out of water early into our meal. The burger I got was very good though, and the fries were great.

Amazing food!

By RKordziel |

While visiting Los Angeles with my dad, on our first night we were looking for something for dinner and happened upon Sizzler’s because it was basically walking distance from our hotel. I didn’t expect it to be the best restaurant I visited on my vacation, and I loved it so much I went back the next night as well, rarity for me. The steak was cooked to perfection, while the mashed potatoes had the perfect amount of butter and fries were great as well! I seriously urge anyone in the area to check it out, it was a welcome surprise on my trip and I’m glad I found it!

Food we could enjoy

By John H |

We hade been in USA for 30 days and had eaten in all types of eaterys and found the food to be enjoyable not just food to eat .We ate here twice and we would go back and advice others to do the same .This sizzlers is close to the airport so if you stay in one of the hotels close by it is great.

Was ok

By dennys34 |

Food a bit under standard - a good Salatbar with fruit, soup, tacos and selfmade tortillas - staff very friendly

Yummy Yummy

By dj500600 |

We ate here on our last night before flying home. I am just so glad we did not come across Sizzlers elsewhere during our trip, we would have put so much weight on. The entree was lovely and the choice of salad bar was extensive. The waitresses were friendly and attentive.

Great Deal

By Jamie G |

Good food at a good price. My steak and potatoes were good, salad bar was full of good options, and the vanilla/strawberry icecream was delicious! Will return!

Surprise good quality

By CLeaf |

We stayed at Holiday Inn next to it, so went to grab a bite as we were tired from trip. Surprisingly, the salad bar is good, food good, service good.

Convenient to Holiday Inn Express

By MountainTraveler096 |

If you are staying at the Holiday Inn Express near LAX, you will want to stop in here for dinner, since the hotel does not have a restaurant. Food was good, portion size was good, salad bar is ample and varied in choices. Service was quick and friendly. Overall, a very nice place for an airport neighborhood.

Good and cheap

By Ogi0 |

Cheep steaks and seafood, near to LAX. Holiday inn LAX (no restaurant for dinner) is 1 minutes on foot. Their steaks are good.

I would dine here again

By Mazuza2 |

My wife and I have never been to a Sizzlers. We were staying the night near the airport, because we had an early flight, the next morning. We walked over here to give it a try. You order as you walk in. They have steaks, seafood, burgers and an impressive salad bar. The manager was very helpful and checked the food ingredients to make sure everything was OK for her. We appreciate his effort. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and my wife had the fish and chips. Both were excellent. We didn't order the salad bar, but, it looked really good. The staff was very good about refilling drinks. It was very reasonable. The next time we fly out of LAX, we'll give a try.

Good food

this venue is quite close to our hotel the service is quite good .We had steaks and they were v good.Salad bar was good andwell stocked so had my 5 a day

Pleasantly surprised

By JetSetterRobb |

Went because my wife likes the salad bar. I had the sirloin and shrimp. I have to say that my steak was on point! Probably better than the steak that I had a Claim Jumper the night before. The salad bar was fresh and well maintained. The kids always love the soft serve bar.

Great value for money

By oziwarren |

Located just around fom Holiday Inn Express LAX. Staf were very friendly and helpful. Very good menu with lot's of options.

Nice steaks and salad bar

By jsolt |

Around the corner of the Holiday Inn Express LA airport we returned to Sizzler after a couple of years. We experienced good service, very good steaks cooked as ordered and a well maintained salad bar. We cared for a glass of wine, which was not very pricey, however the wine was nothing special (Chardonnay). All over pricing was attractive, as always at Sizzler. Restaurant closes at 9pm on weekend days which is a bit early to my liking

Surprisingly good

By Peter B |

Came across this place after landing in L.A., not the glamorous of places, but the food was well cooked and at a reasonable price, appeared to have a lot of hotel people dining there Worth a try

Perfect Quick Dinner

By Brian L |

Stayed at the hotel next door and stopped in for a quick dinner. Very clean. Food was great and the unlimited salad bar is a can’t miss. Staff was courteous and quick with orders. If you need a tasty meal, here’s the place.

the friendliness of the staff was wonderful. The food we ordered was really good & it was a great value for this area.

Strange service

By Michael M |

Was was in the restaurant at 6:45pm on 01/19/20. I approached the counter to order my food (no one else was in line). Nobody was working the counter so I waited a couple of minutes until a young lady approached but she looked at me then started sorted napkins. I waited another minute then asked if anybody was working the counter. She didn’t say anything but walked over to the register very slowly and asked if I wanted to order. She seemed like she was on drugs. I placed my order and when I got to my seat, I checked my receipt and found out she got the order wrong. I like the food at Sizzler but they need to fire that young girl

Lunch before flight

By motorcar1 |

I don’t remember if I visited a Sizzlers before on other trips Stateside. This one is near LAX and I wanted to get lunch before returning the rental car and our flight home. They have free valet parking too. The food is prepaid from large menu board and brought to your table and you have the option to buy the buffet salad bar for $6.95 extra. The food was really good. I would visit again.

Give Your Taste Buds Some Sizzle

By KayTee9 |

This restaurant reminded me somewhat of the Ponderosa franchise restaurants, only even better. We had the endless salad bar for $10.95 (beverage included), and it was very good. There were dozens and dozens of choices: three or four different kinds of soup, breads, hot appetizers, pasta, chicken fingers, and limitless fruit, vegetable, pasta, bean, etc. salads, puddings, cookies, jello etc. There were other options (meat, fish) that could be ordered to enhance the salad bar, but we honestly didn't need them. The "endless salad bar" was more than adequate. It was one of the better salad bars I have noshed at. We were both very satisfied. I figured the name of this restaurant came from all the different types of steak they offer, but I was too stuffed to eat those. Maybe another time. A very good option, especially for travelers, seniors, and families. Give your taste buds some sizzle, with or without the steaks!

Lunch before flight.

By Michelle A |

Husband, son, and I saw this little gem on the way to dropping off rental car. Son ordered bacon burger and all you can eat salad bar. Husband ordered double Malibu chicken and all you can eat salad bar. I ordered grilled chicken sandwich with avocado and all you can eat salad bar. We all had water to drink. Our meals came fast and were delicious. Everything was clean. Service was awesome. Everything cost about $50.00. Bathrooms were clean.

Airport Area Oasis

By Rob Lippman |

Had worked a fourteen hour day and needed a dinner before turning in to hotel and sleeping. This filled the bill nicely. Very friendly and polite staff. Food was prepped as ordered. Salad and sundae bar kept clean and orderly. The restaurant was also clean. All sorts of people in here. Would probably be back if in the area again.

Great value

By Bub1958 |

This place was right next to our hotel and there wasn't much else, so we tried it. The all you can eat salad bar was well worth the price and includes freshly made hot chicken wings, so that alone is enough to give it a thumbs up. All the items in the salad bar appeared to be fresh. As for the steak and seafood dishes, they're at best middle of the road in quality but again priced about as low as can expect to find. If you're a picky eater I'd say it's not for you, otherwise you can't beat the value.

Very Good Value.

By Mike W |

If you are staying at the LAX Holiday Inn Express, this restaurant is just round the corner. Excellent salad bar and steaks cooked to order. Service was very efficient and friendly. This is not fine dining but is a step up from fast food.

Stop Here Before Returning Your Rental Car

By Corbett K |

As a Delta elite flyer, when I travel through LAX, usually on my way home from Silicon Valley, I lament the limited choices for healthier fare in Terminal 5 and 6 before a flight. Even though I have flown through LAX many, many times, this trip was my first experience renting a car. I had no idea that the National lot would be away from the terminal and that the surrounding area would feel quite distant from the airport. In other words, despite the proximity to a major international airport, once you are away from the terminal, you find yourself among the local community in an instant. I can't remember such a stark contrast so close to an airport in any other city. After I recovered from my surprise, I began plotting my dinner options for my return in 4 days' time. As an old-fashioned driver, I did not use GPS for my drive, preferring simply to consult a map. For purposes of finding my way from Oxnard along the PCH, this served me well but I didn't know quite what to do for dinner. Then, as I spied my choices to save a few dollars on fuel since the filling stations closest to the National lot had inflated their prices by about 50¢ a gallon, I chuckled because there it was, a Sizzler just a stone's throw from my rental car return entrance and LAX! As for the food, I chose the buffet and left happy. This location compares well against other Sizzler restaurants in the Golden State. Earlier this year, I stopped at Sizzler in San Bernardino and San Jose, CA. This one is just as good. The employees were most congenial and, I can tell you, the restaurant did a brisk business for the dinner hour on a Thursday. I suspect that I was the only tourist at the moment but I enjoyed my meal and would return in a second given the choice. My experience was entirely positive.

yes i have an interesting deal.

First the good things...the salad bar was stocked and fresh. The other food was slow to come out and not cooked correctly. We had to ask for refills and extra plates to make another trip to the salad bar. Almost like they didn't want you to make a second trip to the all you can eat salad bar. Not sure we would eat there again.

Great value great food

Found this restaurant just round the corner from the Holiday Inn Express. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, choosing the smaller plate Italian Herbed chicken with a side of a medley of vegetables and the delicious salad bar. Great food and great value with friendly, helpful service.

Definitely A Favorite

I revisited Los Angeles in early March 2020 and made sure that I got to eat again here in Sizzler, Manchester Branch. Due to my very good experience during my first visit last year, my expectations were high. As always, customer service by both the cashier and the serving staff (that day, all ladies) was amazing. They were very courteous, smiling and attentive to my needs. I ordered the steak with honey sriracha shrimp. This time, the shrimp got my thumbs up - tender, flavorful. I even brought some to my mother at home and she loved it. To add, the clam chowder (or seafood chowder) - I got the unlimited soup add on - tasted super good. To be honest, with all the good tasting clam chowder that I have tried in LA, this one was the best so far. I am back in Manila, and I can't wait to revisit LA and eat again in Sizzler.

Ok if your near the airport and you've got a car ( don't walk) go here, it's not cheap but none of CA is. We had the steak it's nice. Free ice cream to finish.

DYING TO GET BACK AGAIN!!!!

I was visiting LA in September and was back again in December. Sizzler was a must during this December trip and I went twice during the Christmas vacation. I LOVE THEIR SALAD BAR!! The selections are fresh, the presentation is fabulous!! I try generally to practice a vegetarian lifestyle, but on this trip I deviated. I had a Rib Eye, medium, and it was cooked perfectly. I had the salad bar as well, and an ice cream Sundae with chocolate syrup and nuts. It was very good (made it a the self-serve ice cream). If you want a good salad and a good variety on the salad bar of healthy, tasty, and in season salad bar, try SIZZLER. Many salad bars get messy after a while, but this Sizzler's salad bar is always wonderful and clean in terms of presentation.

Good alternative to eating at the Forum

By ladinks |

Ate here before an 8pm Forum concert. No crowds at 4:30 but by 6:00 the line was out the door. Standard salad bar offerings you see at most Sizzler's (greens, veggies, soup, carnitas and ground beef for tacos and nachos, soft serve ice cream.) Fruit was very fresh. Staff was very patient as it got more and more crowded even with difficult customers. Restrooms are poorly located at the entrance right where you cue up to place your order, guess there's no good way to fix this. Noise level was a bit loud. Overall a good casual dining experience.

They have a 6 ounce steak with salad bar special for $12.99, which is a great deal, and still plenty of food with their large salad bar. Staff were very friendly... lots of easy parking.

Good, Convenient Lunch

By SimplySuzy |

We had never eaten at a Sizzler before. We walked here for lunch from the Holiday Inn next door. The counter staff was very patient and helpful as we tried to decide what to order. We had the shrimp skewers with lime cilantro rice and the Malibu chicken sandwich... We went back later in the week for burgers and salad bar. Food was good, a little pricey compared to home, and it was relatively clean. The best part of this restaurant is the service.

Good food, plentiful and cheap

According to Trip Advisor, this Sizzler is one mile exactly from the Econo Lodge LAX on Century Boulevard, where I am going now because this is the only Choice hotel with an honest cancellation policy: day of arrival by 4 pm. All other Choice hotels in that area want you to cancel 24 hours in advance, which I always refuse because, every time that one of my flights has been cancelled (which happens more and more often!) that has always happened at the very last minute and never one day before! I already posted a comprehensive review about this Econo Lodge in TA on May 28, 2013 with precise helpful information about public transportation from and to LAX. If you stay at this Econo Lodge, at the Rodeway Inn or nearby, you can either walk to this Sizzler, which is at the corner of Manchester and Prairie, or just take bus 112, as I did to go there for lunch on Saturday, September 7, 2013. I chose the “Chicken Malibu” (chicken breaded breast with ham & cheese), which came with French fries, garlic bread and a Coke for $8.49, including a single trip to the Salad Bar and the hot buffet. The same menu for seniors is $8.99 because it is served every day at any time, while the lunch special is only served from Monday to Saturday until 4 pm. But since this was 1 pm on Saturday, I could take the cheaper option, which came to $9.30 with tax, plus tip. For $2 more, I could have obtained unlimited trips to the salad bar plus the desserts bar but I didn’t take it because one trip was plenty enough for an old timer like me. Furthermore, in the cold salad bar there were several sweet choices and canned fruits that made a perfect dessert without any need for extra chemical sweet stuff… As usual, food was good and plentiful; and if you are a heavy Coke drinker, you may refill your big glass, which I didn’t do because with just one trip I had my dose of artificial stuff! Usually, I have a beer with a good meal rather than a Coke but I couldn’t drink both and, since the soda was included, I didn’t want to waste it and just throw it away because I was taught to never squander food or drinks. After lunch, I walked back to my Econo Lodge and, by the time I turned right on Century Boulevard, no bus had yet passed on Prairie; so I was right to do that extra exercise rather than waiting more than a half hour for the bus!
