Recommended to us by several locals. We attempted to visit John’s Pork but it was closed on Mondays. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we found our way to this place. We had the Buffalo chicken steak, fries, onion rings, and classic cheese steak. All were on point! Delicious rolls! Fast service, friendly folks, and a clean bathroom. Must’ve been one of the owners coming around to tables asking how everything was. Would definitely visit again!

I actually had low expectations because of the celebrity "gimmick." But I'm glad I decided to give it a try. It went into my top five after the first bite. Staff was super-friendly and helpful. After paying, we were directed to the seating area (probably a dozen picnic tables that seat six.) They delivered our steaks minutes later. Everything was wrapped to-go, and steaming hot in a very sturdy paper bag. Onion rings (flawlessly breaded and fried) were crispy, and the onions still had a "bite." Obviously the cooks know the correct oil temperature and time to fry. But the STEAKS! We each ordered fried onions and Cooper on seeded rolls (yeah, not OG but after 50 years of eating cheesesteaks, I find this a welcome trend.) Ribeye was gristle-free, superbly seasoned, and chopped JUST RIGHT. Every bite was a perfect ratio of just-browned onion, gooey cheese, and beef that had JUST enough grease. Distribution across the fresh Aversa roll was perfect. No "empty" bites, and nothing overflowed, leaving me scrambling for a fork to reassemble the steak. This was HEAVY.. but just heavy enough. I was really full with three bites to go, but couldn't stop eating. The roll held up until the last bite, still with a delicate crunch (without the need for toasting.) I wasn't able to finish the 40 Oz. Stella after the sandwich, but was glad beer was an option. I have too many favorites (JRP, Angelo's, Johnny's Pizza, Allessio's) to proclaim Skinny Joey's "the best." But in my half century of averaging one per week, I can honestly say it's in the category of "none better."

Besr of the Best!. Food & Hospitality! Close to all Sports events specially Eagles, Flyers, Philies, Sixers, Concerts and South Philly!

Roll was so tough you couldn't bite through it. Chicken was dry & hard. Fried food was dried out & freezer burned. Staff was amazing, super friendly and helpful.

I’m not from Philly so when I asked my friends from the area where to get the best Philly Cheesesteak, I was recommended skinny Joe’s. I was told it was a new place but there’s been a lot of buzz about it, needless to say it did not disappoint. I don’t have any basis of comparison for my Philly cheesesteak palette, but I know my cheesesteak was bursting with flavor and not sitting on a pile of grease. Would highly recommend checking this place out.

Post concert stop and wasn’t disappointed!!!! Easy order and had classic ribeye w cheese and onions!! Short wait and boom fantastic fully loaded steak sandwich on seeded roll, your choice!!!!totally filling and no grizzle!!! Easy to get and side park!!! Will be back!!!

AMAZING! I don't eat beef so I got the Chicken Philly with Cooper Sharp cheese. DELICIOUS! I asked that they chop my chicken since I prefer chopped over chunks. Wonderful! Be patient as the line can get really long. The Philly is definitely worth the wait. The chicken wings are amazingly good as well. I was told that the Beef Philly is to die for and that apparently rib-eye is used. I went twice while visiting and plan to visit again in the near future

Was visiting Wildwood from Maryland this past week and have been following the restaurant and it’s opening on Facebook. Very much enjoying Joey and Snuff in their materials but their excitement and sharing about the new Skinny Joey’s Cheesesteaks. Being that it was just over an hour from Wildwood we ventured out to give it a try. I of course ordered a cheesesteak with fried onions, mushrooms and Cooper Cheese on the seeded roll which was delicious. My Wife not being a big cheesesteak person ordered chicken tenders and fries which she very much enjoyed. The ordering process was quite simple and there was a steady pace of customers during our visit. Saw many in Phillie’s jerseys and noted there was a game later in the evening. The outdoor seating was nice and I took in the view around me while observing things. I haven’t been to Philly since I was a young kid which I think was to the Zoo. Didn’t get to meet or talk with the guys but none the less we enjoyed ourselves and then headed out. To date, the cheesesteak was the best I’d ever had. It had a nice balance of flavor and the meat was very tender. I would have ordered more but wasn’t sure with the steak itself how much I needed to put away so I shared my Wife’s fries.
Great lunch spot. Great tasting sandwich.
Philadelphia is great if you love cheesesteaks as the competition makes every place try harder. Skinny Joe's tries harder! Skinny Joe's is a boardwalk style eatery. They have long lines which they handle well and have a good system to get you sandwiches and drinks pretty quickly. Picknick tables for adequate seating is available while napkins, condiments and satisfied diners abound. Cheesesteaks are great, superb, delicious, and the bread is a difference maker too. You can't miss if you are hankering for a cheesesteak. Forgeddaboudit!
