Really solid burgers. Simple menu - just burgers with good fixings. Fries or toys. Johnny Cash music. Diner feel. Friendly people. Worth.

This place just opened a few weeks ago, and they are already gaining a following. The Angus beef is ground in the cafe, the meat is never frozen. Meat cooked to order, many selections of condiments, This is not fast food so expect a short wait but the taste and quality of the meat is worth every second of waiting. Highly recommend! The decor is plain, clean and I'm not there for that... the burgers are the show! Suggest the cheeseburger and anything that you want to add selected from their large list.

This was our 3rd or 4th time here and each time has been wonderful. The burgers are some of the best you will find in all of TX. They are juicy and made to order. The place is small on the inside, so it can get busy very quickly. The service is the best as well. The fries are wonderful. You really should give this place a chance. You'll be happy you did!

I saw this place on a friend's instagram post last week. She is a huge supporter of local small businesses that are struggling during the pandemic. For the next seven days the picture of that burger and fries was burned into my brain as week four of the quarantine ground on. Today I had to run into the office, so I detoured over lunch to pick up two double burgers and fries. The owners Scott and Kris (I think) moved here from LA three years ago. They are the ones taking your order and cooking in back. They are polite, sweet and genuine. I always like interacting with owners. There is no substitute for the love you feel from the owner versus an employee when the boss is not around. The bun, burger and toppings were soooo good. The two meat patties were juicy with a nice flavorful char. The bun held up to the juicy burger and offered a sweet crisp flavor of its own. The natural cut fries were cooked perfectly. I loved this burger. I hope me being stir crazy and wanting to eat out is not jading my opinion, but man was it good. I do kind of have an issue with the location. It's a tiny little spot that shares a dozen parking places with a donut shop and cleaner. During the quarantine, parking was a snap, but if you're reading this outside the quarantine, parking during the key lunch hour is probably crazy.

New tot he Dallas area and tried SRB on a neighbor's recommendation. In short - excellent! Made to order, juicy burger, top quality fried and "real" sodas that aren't from Coke or Pepsi. A limited menu of burgers, fires and drinks although Wifey wants to try their Mac 'n 'Cheese next time. Overall, a quality product with friendly service - what more could you ask for?

The food was wonderful, but the customer service was terrible. We walked in at 5pm on a Sunday and the lady at the counter immediately seemed annoyed that we were there. When we started to order she said she was doing to go orders only. There were a few people eating in the restaurant so I asked why. She said it was to go only because they're about to close. I asked when closing time was and she said 6pm.....an hour away. I asked if we could eat there and she said yes but it's still go to. She brought our food out in to go bags. We ate and were gone by 5:35 all the while she shot us dirty looks. It was really disappointing as we drove from an hour away to try this place for the first time for my birthday.

We had dropped off my vehicle for service and were looking for a place to have lunch. This place happened to be the closest and we agreed we both felt like having a burger. The restaurant is not very big, so limited seating, but the food is outrageous and everyone is SO friendly you feel right at home! Treat yourself.

Best burgers i had in a while. I guess the new thing is smash burgers. It's fast food but made fresh, not loke the typical fast food names. Fresh tasty burgers. Good french fries. Good prices

Reviews did not lie, a wonderful old fashioned burger. Bun was toasted and had the right crisp. Tarot tots were great. It’s like a mom and pop burger joint in the 50’s

Just had really top notch burgers like your mama used to make without the grease. Fresh handmade burger patties with a secret sauce. Great bun. No drips or sogginess. Held together the patties and vegetables perfectly. The minute you walk in you are greeted by 2 of the friendliest people I've ever met in a burger shop. Totally owner managed and run. Their friendliness and the country music together makes you feel like you have know them forever. Sky Rocket Burger is appropriately located in a little hole in the wall strip center that's hard to see from the road. There's a gas station in front of them. This out of the way location just adds to all their charm. I am already trying to think of when I will be back in the area again just so I can make a trip for another one of their Sky Rocket Burgers. Yum! Yum!

The burgers are ONLY FRESH meat (easy to tell) and the fries are FRESH cut. It is all cooked to order, but there is very little wait. Remember to ask for the SECRET SAUCE, too!! It is delicious. They have already opened two locations. I know of another one in Deep Elum and they serve beer and wine, as well. The owner/operators are SUPER friendly, too. They know our names AND how we each like our burgers!! A friend of ours told us about this place and we NEVER went back to our old 'favorite burger place'. AWESOME is not a big enough word!

What a great hideout for fresh juicy burgers and perfect fries. It's a simple menu, but I think that's the charm and perfection.

Small burger joint that houses one of the best burgers and fries in DFW. I would come here over Five Guys. And trust me, I really love Five Guys. The quality of the meat is just so juicy and delicious. I always go with the double and add a dippy egg. The fries are always fresh and yummy as well. You'll average spending $10-12 here for a combo but will more than likely have left overs and won't leave hungry. The owners really care about you enjoying your experience here which is always a plus.

Our neighborhood e-site gave a pleasant shout out for this little hole-in-the-wall (in a good way) place. It's in behind a gas station and next to a donut shop so it's easy to miss. It's run by a sweet wife, who provides outstanding service, and her husband, who mans the grill. My husband and I enjoyed our fresh-made burgers and hand-cut fries. The menu is simple and the vibe is basic. No hoopla just delicious. We'll definitely go back and recommend others give it a try.

Staff was welcoming and friendly. Burger was great, but those fries! They were fresh, hot and crispy. Will definitely come back.

This is in a surprisingly horrible location complete with homeless people, It is hard to get to the parking lot during the evening rush. And the lot is striped so you can't tell where the places actually are located to park. Not a large place...But....the burgers looked good. Grilled cheese was a bit on the overwhelming side. Fries were ok. This is a traditional "hole in the wall" burger joint right out of the past. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to your table when it's ready. I think this place appeals more to people from the northeast. It was not a bad place, just don't think I will be rushing back.

We were in town for a tournament, it was getting late, and the kids were starving. Quick search led us to Sky Rocket! It’s small and the menu isn’t huge but there is something for everyone! Service was great and it was busy so we had to wait a little while for our food. Worth it! The burgers and fries were some of the best I’ve had. Would definitely go back! (Kids enjoyed it too).

The food was great! The portions were huge (tons of fries). It just so happened right before we ordered there was a big phone order. Unfortunately that was enough to derail the lunch rush. It was a long wait to get our food but worth it.

AMAZING!!! Everything about our experience here was simply AMAZING. This place is small, so if it's busy you'll have a decent wait, but it will be more than worth it. I'll get to the food in moment, but I must say that the woman whom greeted us, took our order, and brought our food is BY FAR the Nicest, and most Joyful Human Being I have met in a long time. I cannot express how wonderful it was to be in her company. She just made me happy by being around here. Now the food. We both had a double combo. The fries are wonderful. Perfectly seasoned, fresh, and hot which proved to me that they are made to order. The burger was so darn juicy, tasty, and amazing. This place is perfect. They deserve all the local support they can get. This will definitely be our go to burger spot. EAT HERE!!! You'll be thrilled that you did!!!

Really tasty burgers with soft buns and great fries! Wonderful personal service and love the small authentic feel of the place. The fries are not greasy at all, which is a plus! Reminds me of a great little neighborhood burger joint - the kind you rarely see anymore. When you are hungry for a great burger, this is the place!

I decided to try out, recommended by a friend. Didn't disappoint, the place was clean, service was friendly. Service was a little on the slow side considering the place was not crowded. Maybe short-staffed that day. The burger came out fresh and was juicy, not dry. Tasty too with the secret sauce and grilled onions. Fries would have been better, but a little on the cold side. The burger was the real star for me. I would return.

Holy cheeseburger! This was pure home cooked awesomeness. It’s a very clean, hole in the wall restaurant off the beaten path. We found it on Yelp & it was in our neighborhood with great reviews, so we thought okay, we’ll give it a try. It’s run by a husband & wife, he cooks, she takes the orders. Nothing complex about the restaurant or the menu, but it’s not necessary because when your hamburger is this delicious, it doesn’t need fancy. Double cheeseburger just the way it comes with fries on the side. The burger was flavorful, juicy & fresh off the grill piping hot. The fries were made from real potatoes, hand cut & fried crisp. There’s something to be said for food that looks & tastes homemade, but is better than the gourmet burgers you find anywhere else. Simple perfection. That’s it.

Upon arriving, the store is very low key and clean. Nothing fancy. The menu is also simple. What I like what Scott has done is made simple combination of ingredients become fantastic. I've east most burger place in Texas. I'm the Dave Portnoy of burgers. I am on a group of 40,000 for Facebook who suggests and comments on burger places across the state and country. The burger has a delicious blend of meat. Perfectly portioned. Vegetables are incredibly fresh. The bun has an amazing flavor as well. I give the burger an 9.2 our of 10.

WHOOOOOOOWEEEEEE - this burger would have only been better if I would have made it myself!!! I got the double w/cheese and added bacon, it was made fresh to order and not a bad price point (*considering inflation) - got a single w/fries, a double with some extras and an order of rocket fries (*must try) for $30. This place is a good too for a great burger!

Best burger around. Great crisp on the burger, fresh toppings, buttery grilled onions - all the boxes get checked. Nothing fancy about this joint, just burger perfection. Also, every time I've been in, the service toward the customers in the dining room is five star. They really aim to please!

Straight-up, basic, solid, absolutely fantastic burger. Fries done right. 10 tables. “Hole-in-the-wall location but ultra-clean. Hank Williams and Elvis in the background. Friendly attentive service. Second time here and I’ll be back. Little bit of trivia: the name is from the owner couple’s optimism about their business sky rocketing when they were a start-up. There are a lot of burger places but you need to eat here. You will love it.

Sky Rocket is located in a non-descript strip mall on the frontier between north Dallas and south Plano, on Coit, south of the Bush Tollway. The place is spartan. Very clean, like maybe it used to be a laundromat. Not much in the way of decor. The menu is very simple. Burgers, fries, cheese fries, drinks. No chicken strips, no hot dogs, no salads. Just burgers--but the burger is among the best I've eaten in a restaurant. And folks, I've eaten a few. Beef is juicy (probably 80/20), cooked perfectly with good melty cheese. Their special sauce is a mayo-thousand island mix, but there's something else in there that makes it especially tasty. The fries are just the way I like them. Not breaded or coated with crap--just thick-sliced and fried, the way God meant for French Fries to be prepared. You will need napkins--this is a messy affair. But you won't care. This really is one of the three or four best burgers I've had in 22 years as a Dallas-area resident. We will so totally be back... One more note--in an era where chain restaurants are killing innovative local joints and replacing them with the same garbage in every town, place like this deserve your support. Some are truly more deserving than others--but this place deserves to win and win big. Try them.

The food is good, however the attitude of the cashier was poor. She paid more attention to her cell phone than the customers. My order was to go and she was irritated when I asked for to go packets of ketchup,

Very good cheeseburgers, and I've had the best. Meteor Burger in Richardson, Snuffers in Plano, and Johnny Rockets in Hollywood. The burgers here are nothing less than perfect. You do have to bring your own Cokes, I noticed several customers who had Coke bottles that they brought from home. They have some kind of a substitute cola here that's terrible. The root beer is OK, but if you want a cola, bring a genuine Coke from home. They close very early, 9 PM. Also, they're only open 5 days a week. Their other locations are open 7 days a week. Despite some of the shortcomings, I highly recommend this place, because of the excellent food. The atmosphere is a little "plain vanilla", I would prefer to pay a higher prices with better surroundings.

Great burger! I had the single burger, you order at the counter and go through all the add on’s. No pre cooked burgers here! The burgers are delivered to your table piping hot! Juicy and delicious burger. Fries are fresh cut and the fountain drinks have cane sugar added! Great small restaurant!

I have been to every burger place in Dallas.... this is the best burger in Dallas and the fries are delicious to large portions

Friends in the far North Dallas area kept telling us about this great burger stand so we finally went. Turned out to be a funky little hole in the wall in a strip center around back of a gas station/ 7-eleven. Not easy to see from the corner of Frankfort and Coit, Sky Rocket Burgers really was a special find. Run by a husband and wife team they make old fashioned burgers and cheese burgers, fries, and tots and that is it. No fish or chicken sandwich here. Only outstanding fresh ingredients, real cheese, fresh lettuce, onions and pickles. You can add jalapenos or grilled onions but that's about it. Focusing like they do allows these guys to make the best cheeseburger I've had in a long, long time. My only request might be a little sturdier bun. But the bun was better than most and perfectly toasted. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Far North Dallas. Treat yourself to the quality you wont get from the big chains and support real local business.

This is a no-frills place, where the quality of the food and the friendly service are the attractions. If you've been there a few times, the owners greet you by name. The place is kept spotless. The fries are fresh and tasty, about as good as you'll find anywhere. But, the burgers, they're the real attraction. The meat is fresh, juicy, tender, and always well-prepared. And, their "secret sauce" really enhances the taste of the burger. I don't believe you'll find a better burger; we haven't.

My favorite burger in DFW is Shake Shack. Sky Rocket Burger had a really great burger. It is a 4 1/2 to 5 star burger, so you can't go wrong if you want a great burger. The service was very nice...all of the ladies were extremely friendly and helpful. The fries are like 5 Guys fries...probably an exact replica...too greasy for my stomach at 55 years old! But I didn't go for the fries...we wanted to try this great burger we were hearing about. It's worth going there if you are in the area and really want a great burger.

Love this place, the food is delicious and large portioned. The best shakes ever! Food is cooked to perfection with decent pricing. The decor is cute and an enormous TV with space movies and shows playing constantly. You can't miss it because it has the big globe that looks like a space ship. This is a super clean restaurant.

I had the most horrible experience tonight. To start off I called to place my order around 8:07 pm no answer. I live in the area so I love to patronize small local businesses in the area. I arrive at 8:45 pm they close at 9 pm. It’s an older gentleman at the counter. He doesn’t greet me or anything so I go over and start self-ordering on the machine they have. The older guys then ask me what do I want, I proceed to say a junior burger, and he started shaking his head saying no jr burgers , no junior burgers singles only. He rings up my order with an attitude. Then rushes my order, he dropped the fries but didn’t use gloves or anything just disgusting. Gave me a drop of secret on the side that I paid .50 cents for. Just a horrible experience, if he didn’t want to make my order he could have said they were closing before 9 pm. My husband normally orders from here during lunch but this will be my last time supporting this establishment. I would have canceled my order but he was talking to himself so I just took a loss on my money that I could have supported another local spot tonight but never again.

Really good burger, the crispiest tots and possibly the best shake I've ever had! Highly recommend!!!

This is just a little place with a few tables and a defunct ice and soda machine, but the burgers are outstanding! I had a double no tomatoes and my husband had a single with everything. We shared a large fry, but a small would have been plenty. I have to say this is on my top 10 best burger list somewhere below five. Prepare for a wait if the are busy or call it in. We will be back! By the way, it is a happy place. The service was so happy. We liked that!

A couple of days ago, I saw this place while I was running an errand in North Dallas. While returning home, I stopped by and grabbed a bite to eat. I thought the burgers were very good and the fries were as well. I would definitely go back here if I’m in the area again.
Great Burger
Found this hidden gem next to a donut shop. Totally unassuming place. The cheeseburger and fries were very good and tasty. Tio greeted us with a warm welcome and was obvious that she appreciated us being there. Thank you for a great burger.
