Sloane's has been on my list for a while, so finally got the chance to tick this one off. Made a reservation through OpenTable and we parked in the Trammell Crow Garage nearby - the restaurant validates parking. It was a Tuesday afternoon so pretty quiet and we chose to sit outside near the firepit, the setting was really nice. It was happy hour (M-F 2-6PM) and we ordered from the HH menu to begin with. I came here for those Spicy Pork Ribs so that was one of the first items I got, along with the Sour Cream & Onion Fries, Prime Beef Burger (Lunch Menu) and Triple Chocolate Budino (Dessert) and some cocktails. Sour Cream & Onion Fries with Garlic Aioli ($4) - Fries were good. Interesting seasoning with the sour cream being powdered. Spicy Fried Pork Ribs ($10) - I was really looking forward to these but they came out so crispy - it was inedible. Literally so fried that I couldn't even cut the meat off it. I told our server, and appreciated that she took it off our bill. Prime Beef Burger ($14.50) - The burger was decent and came with a side of fries. Triple Chocolate Budino ($9) - Very sweet, maybe it was the caramel because the crumble part with a bit of hazelnut was good. Drinks - From Me to Yuzu ($10), HH Old Fashioned ($7) & Bees Knees ($12) - The From Me to Yuzu was from the 12 days of Christmas Menu, Gin with Yuzu, I thought might be a good mix but was a bit more medicinal with the other additions. Bees Knees was better - Gin, Lemon and Honey. But nothing can beat an Old Fashioned and they were pretty good so stuck with that. Quantity 4/5 - Good size portions. Ambience 4/5 - Ambience is really nice, the heated enclosed patio is great and gives a good setting. Service 4/5 - Service was good, some suggestions weren't the best but overall attentive. Taste - 3/5 - Obviously can't really comment on the ribs, the burger was ok and the fries ok again. Really wanted to enjoy this place more but the food wasn't amazing - and I was seriously hungry, so obviously had to get some In-N-Out on the way back. The drinks were good - the Old Fashioneds in particular. Overall nice setting for after-work drinks or more formal casual/date night drinks. But I didn't have the best experience with the food, which was kind of the whole point of coming here. Might think twice before heading here for food. Drinks and conversation maybe.

I thought I would try this place in the hopes that it would become another downtown dining destination, but I was incredibly disappointed. I had the soup and a roasted beet salad. The soup was straight out of a jar, with a couple of cherry tomatoes and croutons tossed in to make the customer think they were actually getting something fresh. The beet salad was barely edible. The beets were not fresh, seemed straight out of jar or can and the cheeses on top of the salad had this strange off putting taste. Perhaps they had become spoiled, but nothing about this salad had any redeeming value. What a huge disappointment, especially given what a beautiful space they have.

Lovely outdoor seating area, oh, and plenty of seating inside as well. The server Desiree P was lovely, friendly and helpful. We went for our lunch and I has a 6oz prime “Filet Butchers Block” steak. It was cooked to perfection, warm the whole way through and rare on the inside. It was very very tasty. There were chips and a wee bit of salad dressing. My wife had soup of the day $8.00 which would remind me of the sort that cowboys would get in the films!! “Cowboy soup” not to my taste, but everyone is different. She also had tomato Focaccia ( bread) $8.00 and it was absolutely delicious. The steak might have been a little on the expensive side $39.00 but, worth it because of the way it was cooked and the tast.

What a great find! Amazing service and the menu is out of this world. There is a happy hour from 3-6pm, but we missed that. We were there on a Friday and the live music was delightful. The fried calamari with squid ink aioli was so delicious as were the oysters.

A tale of two restaurants. The 'good' restaurant delivers terrific food and generally good service. The 'bad' restaurant has NO valet working on a Saturday night, making us park in a dreadfully dusty garage 3 blocks away. Produces weak cocktails. Has a noise level so bad, I literally cannot hear the server delivering the nightly specials and she's standing right next to me. Patrons at adjacent tables literally screaming at each other dont help. There is the ubiquitous TV set behind the bar turned to...basketball. And the badly designed dining room is a tight square around the center bar with service stations on all four sides. So, good luck hearing or enjoying your friends (UNLESS YOU SCREAM!!!). In short, I want to rescue the really good chefs and whisk them off to a more sophisticated restaurant that focuses on delivering a sophisticated experience to sophisticated diners. Not a place where basketball and yelling and no valet come with the tasty meal.

We ate the NYE 2023 dinner here. It was TERRIBLE!!!! There was a 3 course menu for $95 per person (excluded the drinks). The 1st course was okay. The 2nd course/main dish was really bad. We ordered the Australien Wayo. There was sooo much fat that you couldn’t even enjoy the meat. And the desert was a bad joke. We got a plate with 5 pralines for 2 people to share. We understood because it was on both menus that each of us gets one of the plates but no. We even asked the waitress and she told us the plate is for 2 people. We paid $95 (not included the drinks) and it was definitely NOT worth it!!

Having visited before I had some doubts re service - seems much improved. Staff were very nice and the food was lovely - great deals are run and this restaurant is incredibly competitively priced. Only slight complaint is the lack of vegetarian options (nothing on the menu states vegetarian options for burgers or sandwiches)! They can do a veggie burger (a very good one) but they don’t have it on the menu - really think they should. Also they do a $10 burger deal on a Thursday 2-6 but only for the meat burger which again I think is slightly poor (as us vegetarians do exist!!) It is good food and not astronomical

came many times - for lunch and dinner. food is good - sometimes a little heavy possibly. chips are mega fried and the cheesy sandwich at lunchtime was too cheesy for my tastebuds. staff are friendly and the place does great deals. be mindful most end at 7pm.

Amazing steak and service! I passed this cute bistro while checking out the area near my hotel. I loved the bright indoor dining area. (The casual outdoor area was popular too.) Morgan was my server and what a delight! Water was immediately brought to my table by another friendly staff member. Then my nicely shaken martini appeared. After looking at the great menu, I opted to skip the sole and go for the filet mignon. So happy I did! This was truly an amazing and perfectly cooked steak. Served with yummy fries and a nice side green salad. It was “market price” which was totally reasonable at $45.00. I also had the flaky bread “roll” which was so good too and only $5.00. I wish I could have had room for dessert. They have a great drink/ wine menu. Also a happy hour from 3-6. Enjoy!

Starting worst to best because I won’t come back. First, the food was bland and under-seasoned. Why are the chefs relying on a sauce to season a steak instead of using seasoning? Our table also got not seasoned chicken and mushy pasta. The best things we were served was the dip as an appetizer and the fries, they were actually pretty good. The restaurant shares a space with an office but the bathrooms are so hard to find, another group as searching for them with me. I was sat nearly 20 minutes before my husband as he hunted down parking and ordered a drink, that drink arrived as he sat down. Our waiter and the hostesses were both kind though.

Booked this place last minute - glad I did. The food is very nice and the place offers lots of different deals throughout the week (all on their website). Thursday is fish and chips and $3 beers- which is great $20 and a huge portion. Drinks are decent sizes as well (wines are actually like a 250ml portion for $12). My only complaint is that some of the staff are incredibly offhand and patronising - one member who worked behind the bar spoke to me in a way which no bartender in the UK would have done. I will be back because I like the food - however service could do with a little tweak.

We were looking for a really nice healthy breakfast on our first morning in Dallas and we stumbled upon Sloans and I couldn’t fault it. We had impeccable service from Ashleigh and Jocelyn and the food was absolutely fantastic clean fresh and delicious. We will be returning tomorrow.

Visiting Dallas and was looking for outdoor dining. Sloane's was walking distance from our hotel so we tried it. We were greeted by friendly hostesses who took our temperature and led us to a beautiful outdoor patio with a fountain and gas fire pit. Jorge was our waiter and made some fabulous recommendations, especially the scallop appetizer. Come hungry because there are many delicious choices. Make sure you try this place!

There are certain places that capture the essence of a community and distribute it through their products and service. That’s Sloane’s Corner in a nutshell. If fine food and charming culture is what you need to get things done in the Art District of Dallas, Sloane has it with style. We enjoyed the breakfast featuring a customized egg sandwich and a breakfast burrito. They were both hot, delicious and suited to our vegetarian preferences. I don’t know what you had to endure during mealtime at your hotel. It doesn’t matter. It’s better at Sloane’s Corner.

A downtown restaurant with an upscale menu, good cocktail list, and well-priced wine list. Friendly service from masked wait staff too.

Great menu selection on known sandwiches but with a different take. Such as jalapeño jelly. Try the Bishop Cider Crackberry. Walking distance to the Dallas Museum of Art. Park on street or in a garage. We sat at the bar. Can to crowded at times.

We walked the two blocks from our condo to Sloan's which was a great start. We had requested outdoor seating and were seated in an open tent next to the fountain - lovely. Half way through our meal the tent was closed and we were now sitting indoors which we really wanted to avoid in a pandemic. Our food was good - the bouillabaisse lacked fennel and Pernot though. The carbonara was excellent. Service was attentive but not too much. While we enjoyed the meal, we didn't feel safe after the tent was closed. Don't offer outdoor dining if you don't intend to do so.

Our dinner group went to Sloane's this month. Our reservation was at 6pm because they wouldn't accommodate a group of 12 any later than that. And they required a $300 deposit which the host couple paid in advance when they made the reservation. But they had visited the restaurant and spoke to the manager who assured them that splitting the check by couples wouldn't be a problem. More on that later. Parking in that part of Dallas, especially when one is unfamiliar with the area and it's after dark can be a challenge. It would have been nice if the valet stand for the building had been manned. But we drove around and finally found the parking garage. The area they seated us in is normally a patio but it was closed off with those soft roll down windowed walls to keep the cold out. They also had heaters going and it was nice and cozy with a good view of the street and surrounding area. There was also live music and the musician was very good. Great atmosphere. Our waitress was nice but a little pretentious. A little too much "selling" on rolls, appetizers and truffles. (Though one person did order truffle fries and they were excellent.) The food was good. No complaints from anyone. I had the short ribs, grits and collard greens. There was also supposed to be fried, pickled onion rings and I was looking forward to trying those but the very few pieces of fried onion (no rings to be found) that were on my plate didn't have any noticeable flavor. My friend got this item as well. He liked it but he has a thing about food items touching and I think he would have liked to know that all of the items were stacked on top of each other rather than being served adjacent to each other on a plate. A little better description on the menu would have helped with that. My wife had the bone-in pork chop with wild mushrooms, celery root, Swiss chard and mission figs. Fortunately, she couldn't eat it all so I had the leftovers the next night and we both agreed that it was excellent! A couple of other folks had the salmon and loved it. As I said, all enjoyed their food. When it came time to pay, we got a surprise. The manager told the host couple that they could not split the checks or refund the $300 deposit. This was completely the opposite of what she had told them when they were there to check the place out earlier in the week. So they paid for the additional amount to settle the bill and we decided we'd settle up later. When we got back to their house for dessert and were dividing up the bill, we discovered that we had been charged for 13 entrees and not 12! They had added an extra salmon dinner to our bill. Talk about adding insult to injury... So, while the food was excellent and I'd have no issues with recommending the food or eating there again, I would not do either because of the way they handled the arrangements. Having checked to ensure that they could accommodate our needs and then being misled (whether due to the manager being misinformed or incompetent) and being overcharged on top of it is too much. They need to get their policy straight and consistent and ensure that the correct information is being given to prospective customers.

...from the AT&T Performing Arts Center for our pre-show dinner. An easy 4 block walk. We enjoyed very good burgers & calamari and friendly, attentive service from Andrew. Despite a busy evening crowd, our food came out promptly, giving us plenty of time to see the curtain rise on "On Your Feet!" (a very good musical.) A couple of minor notes - the place was busy and it was LOUD. The beer selection was a bit limited. Overall, we would visit again, next time we're in town for a show...
Fun casual dinning downtown.
Service was great. The valet parking guy was not available, but a restaurant waiter came out to watch our car until he returned. The food was great my pork Milanese was as large as my plate. Left overs were lunch for 2 the next day. Our Brie appetizer was enough for 2 or 3. Interesting specialty cocktails too. Across from allude Warren Park. Very busy until 7, then the early diners and after work crowd goes home.
