This restaurant is located next to the stadium. The menu have different meat-courses. The prices Are medium. We had good food and We experienced good service.

We really wanted some great BBQ and music when we arrived. However, they were out of brisket so I ended up getting a pulled chicken sandwich which I wasn't too impressed with and it actually had a bone in it. BUT, the music was good and the customer service was wonderful! It's close to Wrigley Field.

This bbq restaurant has an amazing location across from Wrigley. There is inside seating or an outside patio on the second floor (covered so you don't have to worry about the weather, but can enjoy the breeze and feel like you are a part of the Wrigley excitement below). There are a lot of big screen TV's upstairs and a large bar area, as well. The food was very good. Great corn bread and good bbq! A fantastic atmosphere before a Cubs game! Excellent service, as well!

I got the BBQ sampler and it was all to notch and a great place to watch a game with some live music to boot, but it has no heat or insulation so prepare for a frigid night.

When we started planning our Chicago trip, we were able to get tickets for the Cubs game so wanted to eat somewhere close to the ballpark. Found Smoke Daddy Wrigleyville and made a reservation which was very easy to do. We were seated upstairs which we enjoyed because there was less hustle and bustle up there. Ivan was our server and he made dinner even more enjoyable and he gave great advice on what to get for our group of 5. We had the platter which more than adequately served our group and there was food left over. Everything on there was tasty. Would definitely recommend Smoke Daddy for a delicious meal before or after a ballgame.

Our service was really quick and the food tasty. I had the burnt ends sandwich and found it very good for a north side of Chicago BBQ place. The beer self was also good.

Great spot in Wrigley and the Brunch was delish! We went on an off game before a tour of the stadium. Pick an entre and then you get unlimited monkey bread, pancakes, sausage, bacon and fruit along with it. A LOT of food for $25 per person. Then add the bottomless brunch cocktails for $27 which includes three different drinks, well worth if you are planning to have more than 2 cocktails. The sauces are tastee and service was very good. The bathrooms are upstairs connected to another venue so be prepared to walk up staris to use the bathroom. Would go back again before a game! Making a reservation is best for then but wasn't needed on an off game day.

Have you ever spent a day in Wrigleyville without going to a baseball game? Arrive for lunch, enjoy an afternoon in Gallagher Way, then have dinner at a local restaurant. Grab a snack along the way. My wife and I decided to have dinner at Smoke Daddy Wrigleyville, which is reported to produce the best barbecue this side of Kansas City and St. Louis. Located at 3636 North Clark Street, it has been smoking ribs and brisket and pulled pork and chicken since 1994. Open from 11 to 9 Monday through Thursday, 11 to 10 on Friday, 10 to 10 on Saturday and 10 to 9 on Sunday, Smoke Daddy is a favorite destination for Cubs fans before and after games. On this occasion, the Cubs were out of town but business was crowded as usual. My wife and started managed to squeeze in and started with pulled pork and pulled brisket and pulled chicken nachos and bowls of Smoke Daddy chili with onions, cheese and jalapeno and smoked chicken and vegetable soup. While scanning the menu, the Taste of the Daddy caught our attention, the paella of barbecue. We couldn't resist sharing the brisket, pulled pork, full rack of ribs, half chicken, hot links, mac-n-cheese, pit beans, coleslaw and pickles with barbecue sauce and a side of cornbread. If that wasn't enough, we ordered two sandwiches to take home -- The Freak, smoked corned beef with Swiss cheese, coleslaw and spicy mustard on rye bread and the Carolina-style with pulled pork, coleslaw and mustard. Oh, did I forget dessert? We couldn't pass up key lime pie and banana pudding. No wonder Smoke Daddy Wrigleyville is such a fixture in the neighborhood.

My son and I are Celiac and we had a very good experience here. It was right before a Cubs game and we only had a thirty minute wait. Their GF options were very good. They have GF buns as well. I had a brisket sandwich and coleslaw. Very tasty. My son had ribs, beans, and coleslaw. He raves about how good the beans and ribs were. Definitely recommend this location and will eat here in the future.

Yes there was a Cubs game, yes they were crowded and yes it the atmosphere of the place is very nice considering it used to be a McDonalds parking lot. I would cut them some slack, but our experience was nowhere worth the bill. First and foremost, I had the absolute WORST Moscow Mule I have ever drank here. Not even palatable. I don't know how you can screw up Titos, lime juice and ginger beer but they 1,000% did it. There was zero ginger beer and their "citrus juice" that was listed on the menu for this drink has to be some sour mix crap you buy in a bottle. All this for a slightly larger than dixie cup glass and a $11 price tag. Get a tap beer if coming here. The food was not even room temperature and apparently sits around in the kitchen somewhere waiting to be dolled out. I ordered a mix plate with two meats and two sides. The meat portions were approximately 2oz each on white bread, which didn't even have to "soak up" the juice as there was none. The absolutely best part of my entire experience was the cole slaw, which was very tasty. Our server was pleasant enough, and yes I should have returned the drink and asked for something else hands down. Take your $$ and appetite elsewhere when going to a game. The stadium food looked and smelled better.

If you’re looking for a way to improve the Wrigleyville experience, this is it. The entire meal, including the service, was excellent. But, if you take one piece of advice, you have to try the burnt ends. Holy moly! The Cubs lost, and I didn’t even care. 😁 We look forward to our next visit.

Such an awesome spot in Wrigleyville - we love this place. Not sure I can nail down what I like the most; cornbread, ribs, chicken, or the Bloody Mary! The Bloody Mary deserves its own category - best in Chicago! Typical Four Star Restaurant Group service, which is much like Lettuce Entertain You for service (see my review of Remington’s). Keep it up guys, we love everything on the menu, the trendy feel, the service, and with an iconic stadium across the street to boot!

We got here around 11:00 w/ reservations for Cubs game. We sat against the railing overlooking Clark St. below with large video board in clear view. We did all-you-can-eat brunch for $20; what a deal given it's location. Brunch is awesome with it's 5 choices of meat. $16 all you can drink blood marys/ mimosas as well. Will eat here every time for day games,

We were in the area, visiting the Christmas Mart, and thought this would be a good restaurant to try. The tv screens had fireplace apps going that made you feel warm and cozy. Our waitress was so pleasant and explained the menu, since this was our first visit. One of the appetizer offerings was pimento cheese hush puppies and we gave them a try and enjoyed. Burnt tips meal offered two meats and two sides and the pulled pork sandwich offered one. The pit beans were delicious, as was everything else. It was a lot of food, with no room for dessert

We ate here in a rainy afternoon on a game between Cubs versus Cardinals. Through a recommendation from one of Wrigley Field’s we tried this place. We told our waitress Meagan we were on a rush. I ordered the cheeseburger, my wife and daughter both ordered Daddy O Sandwich and our son ordered a Smoked Chicken. We were not expecting much, but were really surprised the food was good. It was one of the good tasting cheeseburgers I’ve had. The most surprising of all which I did expected, being it was such a busy day, was how quick the service was. We were out and done really fast. Also, I should mention the price is relatively cheap for a restaurant literally in front of the Wrigley Field. I also liked that they have large screen TVs everywhere. I was able to watch some British Open while eating lunch. I will definitely recommend this place.

A group of 37 of us popped into this place for lunch. BTW--weekday, not a game day. Smoke Daddy knew ahead of time that there would be 30-40 of us, most needing separate checks and we were on a tight timeline. Notta problem! Plus, some of us don't want a brioche bun--we want squishy white bread, no sauce, a side of dill chips and raw onion with our sandwiches. Notta problem! Service was fast and efficient. Food was good. Sparkly clean restroom!

I will honest, I wasn't expecting much when we stopped here to eat. With it being right across Clark from Wrigley Field, I figured it would be a place that serves mediocre food and gets as many people in and out as fast as possible. I was wrong! My buddy and I both got the brunch special. For $19 you get an all you can eat brunch. The all you can eat portion is monkey bread, sausage, bacon, hash brown casserole, pancakes, and fruit. Then on top of that you get an entree of your choice. I went with the breakfast sandwich. Wow, everything was delicious. I didn't have to eat much overpriced ballpark food because I was still full from eating here. If you are attending a day game at Wrigley or just passing through the neighborhood at brunch time, stop here! You won't be sorry!

Enjoyed pre-game lunch, sandwiches. Tried pulled pork and pulled chicken. Both are solid smoked barbecue food. Several sauces on the table are great to try. My recommendation is to request either the restaurant or yourself should leave the meat without sauce until brought to the table where I can choose and add what sauces I like. My wife doesn't like a spicy bbq sauce, but that how it was served tableside, slathered on her chicken. She preferred a sweeter version which was on the table. Service was pretty good, and seemed to be plenty of staff running around, when you needed to get refills, etc. All in all, we will probably return, but will request meat plain. Would like to try the brisket and ribs.

This was our first visit to Smoke Daddy. They had a kids eat free promo and we received a 10% discount from our Cubs stadium tour. The service and food were both good. We also had live music.

A great place to go after a Cubs game. We wanted a sample of everything, and it worked great. Food was very good and service was excellent, the lace was crowded.

We made reservations here for 6:00 dinner because it was before a concert we were seeing that night at Wrigley Field. We were seated promptly upstairs where there was a nice view and breeze coming from the open outdoor area nearby our table. Our server was busy but still good. I ordered the roasted rotisserie chicken, which was good but kind of dry. My husband ordered a combo meat platter called "taste of the daddy" with burnt ends, ribs, and brisket, which was also good but nothing to write home about. Our sides of mac-n-cheese, soggy sweet potato fries (please stop putting them on top of a wet piece of lettuce), and baked beans were just average. Note: I think because we had recently been to Texas and had superb BBQ with delicious sides, we now have that to which we will compare all other BBQ and sides.

Smoke Daddy’s brunch is amazing! Monkey Bread that is a delightful flaky sweet treat! The pancakes are so great, they seem to have a crust, as if they are cooked in cast iron!! BACON!! Bottomless Bloody Mary’s!!

Sincerely the best bloody Mary I’ve ever had. Even came with a riblet that was tasty, too! The husband had two types of ribs which he raved about, And I had the corned beef sandwich. Way tasty.

We had lunch here today, and it was an fantastic experience! The service was superb, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was so good. We will definitely back.

Decided on Smoke Daddy Wrigley as we were staying at the Hotel Zachery next door and needed somewhere close for my after wedding brunch. Did not disappoint. They were so great to work with prior to our arrival as we had 18-22 people I needed to accommodate. They reserved enough space and were very accommodating. The brunch was delicious. They bring out a variety of breakfast foods (pancakes, sausage, bacon AMAZING hash browns and monkey bread) this is unlimited and they keep it coming. Along with this you get to pick a entree (most with eggs) but a wonderful variety to choose from! They also have mimosa and bloody mary packages to choose from. The service was wonderful and very friendly not to mention the live music (though a bit loud if you want o have conversation) I would highly recommend this not only for their amazing BBQ lunch and dinners, but this amazing brunch!!

Four of us had lunch at Smoke Daddy on a game day on a Friday around noon in late May. We got in pretty fast and got seats on the main floor along the open-air side facing the street and Wrigley Field. Great people-watching and fun atmosphere. Some live blues music was nice. Food was great -- burgers, barbecue, etc. Recommended.

10/10 love the vibe!!!! Such nice seats and lovely view of wrigley field! Will be back!!! Such a good place to eat after a game and close to everything

We went to Wrigley Field for a concert over the weekend. We always like to get down there a little early for food and drinks. What a pleasant experience we had at Smoke Daddy’s. Great prompt service while the place was packed with concert goers. The brisket was tender and flavorful, a melt in your mouth piece of meat. We tried the wings accompanied by the BBQ sauce at the table and they were very good. 2 of us had sandwiches, smoked Rueben was outstanding as was the pulled chicken. I would highly recommend Smoke Daddy. Great service, great food and great atmosphere.

Food. Service atmosphere all great! Would definitely return for another meal. They also got us in and out before the cubs game!

Stopped in on a game day Saturday afternoon during college football season. The food was a 10, the atmosphere was a 10, the bartender was a 10. You get great atmosphere and the roar of the crowd right next to you.

What a neat idea to have a family style main plate for the table loaded with all sorts of goodies for all palates. Hast browns were out of this world. The you get your own entree on top of that. We had a reservation and it was a game day, lady at front was a little rude saying since it was so busy they were seating walk ins and not leaving tables open for reservations to accommodate a rush. Thankfully another person stepped in and had a table for us. I mean isn't that a point of making reservations. I am happy it worked out cause it was an awesome meal, great service and fun live music.

Went there directly after a Cubs game with a BIG party of 10...6 adults and 4 pre-teens.We were seated within 35 minutes which was quite fast. The food was excellent. The favorite was the Smoked Wings followed by the BBQ Nachos. We did not do any entrees because we wanted to do deep dish pizza later.Would definitely recommend both these items HOWEVER the loudness of the music was deafening. We could not carry on a conversation easily.Adults and kids found this equally annoying. As we exited we heard other groups voicing the same complaint.SO turn down the volume a tad PLEASE!

Delicious Food and Live Music. We were seated right away. The pulled pork was very tasty. Others in our party enjoyed the brisket and baby back ribs and a taste of the daddy. Mac and cheese was great along with the sweet potato fries. Just a real fun place.

Went to Smoke Daddy before and event at Wrigley. Great atmosphere, plenty of TV's to keep you busy good beer selection, great vibe and friendly staff. I had the brisket and pulled pork, sweet potato fries and beans. All were really good, the brisket was tender with nice bark. The pulled pork tender and moist. I tried a few of the sauces and liked the plain sauce the best. The pickles were great, I wish they would have given you more that three pickle chips though...really! All in all the food and vibe were great. The prices reasonable. I would go here all the time if I was a regular at Wrigley.

Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night and we were seated promptly. This is an open air bbq place. Service was good, food was better. If you order the nachos appetizer it’s huge and could feed at least four adults. Yummy bbq pork and cole slaw, sweet potato fries were delicious. Located by Wrigley Field.

Had a great night here last week. I’d heard about beer cheese before but never found it on a menu until visiting Smoke Daddy. It is to die for, great flavour with a little heat from the jalapeño. Man it was good, so good, can’t stop raving about it. Now I just need to learn how to make it at home. Thanks Daddy.

great ruben ,fast service ,good waiter !, go there and see what is what it is close to wrigley and lots of bear fun , get ivan as a waiter he is the one

You can’t beat this Wrigleyville location, right across from the stadium. But my husband’s corn beef sandwich was just average . I had trouble getting an accurate order. I requested dressing on the side, but got a salad drenched in dressing. I ordered a Kaluha & Coffee, got Bailey’s. The waitress never checked back so it was not remedied.

My adult son and I came to Chicago to tour Wrigley Field Following the tour we went across the street for lunch, and as much as I would like to say it was our first choice it was really our third. With all due respect to the first two choices we were considering, we could not have been happier to find this place. The staff was super attentive and pleasant. The ambiance was outstanding and welcoming. I am a life long Texas resident which means I have had the luxury of eating some of the greatest BBQ ever done. Texas is famous for this endeavor and has earned it with many hours spent over pits mastering the skill. I had the Pulled Meat Nachos with brisket. The very first piece of brisket I put in my mouth instantly made me forget I was in Illinois and not in Texas. It was extremely tender, juicy, and tasty. I told the awesome staff person how great I thought it was. The only slight difference is the Blazing Hot sauce on the table would probably be labeled mild in Texas. It had great flavor and I enjoyed it but was not what was expecting based on the name. I must admit though I really like spicy so for others it very well could be more so. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Anyone in the Chicago area for any reason should stop in and try it for themselves.

Smoke Daddy has two pleasant surprises: a diverse BBQ menu and great chicken wings! Those wings are just an appetizer yet they are big and full of meat. Our party of five had lots to choose from for our lunch sandwiches, and the buns held firm (not soggy) despite being full of sauce. The second floor is open and faces Wrigley Field, making this a relaxing setting in the day time. For its location, Daddy’s pricing is reasonable. The only downside is the brisket, that had more than its fair share of fat.

We stopped in before a tour at Wrigley. We seated quickly and the server was good. The Mac cheese is good as is the beans, the ribs were flavorful although kind of small serving for a full rack. The brisket was very good overall a good meal

My wife and I have arrived in Chicago to catch a cubs game. We are staying across the street from the stadium in a boutique hotel. Connected to our hotel is smoke daddy’s big city bbq so for a close by meal we stopped in, it’s around 3:30pm. Very friendly as soon as we walked in we was greeted, promptly seated. Staff is friendly and we was waited on quickly. My wife chose the pimento & cheese hush puppies with a spicy jelly. They were good. For our meal my wife and I split the ribs with choice of two other meats, we chose pulled pork and burnt ends with mac&cheese- bbq baked beans. The meal/bbq meats were good and exactly like I would expect from a chain style bbq restaurant and I’m not trying to take anything away from the meat I just come from the south, it was good bbq. The bbq bake beans were little to much bbq sauce for my taste. Mac & cheese was good. My wife saw key lime pie on the menu and we ordered, we love key lime pie and we order it anytime we see it on the menu. The key lime pie is delicious and again I’m from the south and go down into Florida a lot so we know key lime pie and this is good key lime pie. Plenty of tv’s. It’s a good place.

This BBQ joint is right near Wrigley field. It was recommended, and it did live up to it. I had The Freak sandwich--brisket with coleslaw. Sort of a alternative rueben. It was after the game so not as busy. Beer prices are slightly higher, however food was priced quite reasonable. I really did like the sandwich. Service was fine. They had a large selection of sauces from mild to quite warm--watch out for the plastic bear flavor, a naughty bear.

Food, Serice, and cocktails were all great. Good bourbon list and the bartender makes a great old fashioned. Settled on an Angel’s Envy and the two meat platte. I would go again.

Perfect location across the street from Wrigley Field. Odors are enticing. Good service. Prices are typical for that area. Seating upstairs and down and you can also dine at the bar. Somewhat inconvenient to use the upstairs restrooms if you're seated downstairs. Food was really amazing. This was the second time that I've eaten here. Both times the food was amazing. On this visit I had pulled pork, burnt ends, smoked pit beans and cornbread. Great flavor with the pulled pork and beans. Burnt ends were "melt in the mouth" perfection. The cornbread came with a generous amount of butter on top and was also delicious. For me, it will be difficult not to eat here when in the area. The food is really that good.

Couldn't believe we got a table for 4 after the Cubs game on Father's Day. The brisket and pulled pork was fairly moist and the burger topped with pulled pork was very tasty. Don't skip the chips with beer cheese. The service was very good as we were waited on promptly with the food being served after a reasonable time. It seemed like the beer selection could have been stronger with more Chicage beers. Price point was appropriate to the area. I would eat here again.

In August we got the munchies for some BBQ and immediately thought of Smoque our go to BBQ on Pulaski. However our hopes were dashed as they were no longer delivering (via Doordash) to our downtown Chicago address. Rats! Plan B involved an unknown quantity-Smoke Daddy. Delivery sold us. As we never set foot in the restaurant I can't comment on atmosphere or service. They didn't have the spicy Texas sausage that Smoque has us hooked on but they had brisket, coleslaw, mac n cheese, collard greens, baked beans and corn bread, fries- so there's a meal right there! Bring it on! We ate a belly-bustin' lunch. I ordered some "burnt bits" of brisket which were mighty tasty but the sliced brisket had us reminiscing and comparing it to Smoque which overshadowed it in depth of smoky flavor. It also had some ribbons of fat that could have been trimmed off. Writing this in November I remember the burnt bits as a win. My dining partner recalls liking the collard greens but we haven't gone back for more. It was decent but not truly memorable and a must-repeat. The side dishes were all fine but the brisket should be the star. We've had the BBQ munchies since but we drove out to Smoque to satisfy our craving.

We stopped here for a drink while visiting Wrigley and had a nice time. I tried Malort for the first time, and it was... interesting. The bartender was great, friendly and really made some good recommendations for other places for us to try!

The pulled pork nachos were the best we’ve ever had. Our server was super friendly and the staff was always in motion keeping the restaurant clean and in order. A must do when visiting Wrigley!

A wonderful restaurant to go to for great BBQ before going to a Cubs game. Right across the street from Wriglie Field. Lots of sports on TV and open air seating upstairs. Service was slow before a Cubs game but expected due to how crowded it got. Also has non BBQ options for healthier eating.

We truly enjoyed this family style brunch. We visited on the Sunday after attending the Pearl Jam concert at Wrigley Field so the Wrigleyville area was extra crowded but service was great (we did have reservations). The food is delicious and the experience is exactly as described on the website. The staff is super friendly and we would definitely go back.

New restaurant in the new Hotel Zachary across from Wrigley Field, serving mostly bbq menu items. We had lunch opening week on a cold day, so tables were available when we arrived a 11:45. There is good 'live' music - mostly country; it is loud and conversations on the first floor are difficult. The food is tasty, but portions of some menu items were small. My Daddy O Sandwich of sliced brisket, smoked provolone & onion rings was very good, but the bun overwhelmed the small amount of brisket and at $12 you shouldn't be looking for the meat. My lunch partner had a pulled pork sandwich and both the taste and quantity were good. Beer prices are higher than restaurants and bars two blocks or more from Wrigley, but much cheaper than inside Wrigley. It's a big place with two levels. Menu isn't large, but plenty of choices for a pre- or post-Cubs game meal. Hopefully the next time I try the Daddy O, it will be more substantial than a slider. All that said, we'll try it again.

We walked over after taking a tour at Wrigley Field to eat here as they were offering a 10% discount for tour attendees. Plus, we really like BBQ. The staff welcomed us right away and guided us to the correct area. Both of us got the sandwich with the brisket in it and made sure to sample the entire 'flight' of BBQ sauces they had on the table. It was hard to pick a favorite one as they were all good. The entire restaurant has a great view of Wrigley. I can only imagine how crowded this place can get during games - it wasn't while we were there, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back and try something else on the menu.

We had some time to kill between our Wrigley Field tour and the start of the game. We were looking to grab a bite to eat and Smoke Daddy couldn’t be more convenient. Very cool atmosphere to pregame, lots of tvs and a great menu. I had the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries and my wife had the pulled pork benedict off of the brunch menu. We were both really impressed with the food quality. Being this close to the stadium we thought the prices would be outrageous, but we were pleasantly surprised with the bill.

We found the BBQ to be just average. Nothing really jumped out as being exceptional. The best thing about this place is it's location. Right across from Wrigley. The views are great. And it's a great place to sit outside on their balcony.

Near to Wrigglry Field food is more expensive. This place is not expensive compared to other places near by. The burger was good and the mac-n-cheese was also. I would say 7 out of 10. This is ment to be a sports tavern so the menu is slight but they are proud of their food and it is definately worth the eating. The waitress, Moira, was very friendly, patient and good at her profession. It is not baseball season so it was not full but had a continous flow. It is across from where the Christmas market is being set up so if you are going there , it is a good place to sit, eat and rest from shopping. They have the needed many TV s.

We enjoyed our meal at Smoke Daddy. Good solid BBQ in a very nice, safe, and clean setting. The prices are a bit high - but you are across from Wrigley Field... if you like BBQ and are going to a Cubs game go and enjoy - just know you will pay a bit more here

The food at Smoke Daddy is amazing. Everything that I have eaten here is so delicious. the Sunday Brunch is very reasonable and the drinks are very tasty. You wont be disappointed.

Food was top notch. Went towards 11 PM. They close down the outside patio after 11 really cool view of the stadium service was probably the only reason it was a four out of five definitely a must try if you like barbecue.

Very good food, located right outside of Wrigley field, with a great view of the grassy area where people congregate and watch the game. Plus, lots of big screen TVs inside from which to watch the game. We were there last weekend when the Cardinals were in town and didn't want to pay the high prices for tickets to Wrigley, so this was the next best thing. Loved our whole experience. The service was prompt and the staff was helpful and friendly. Even on a game day we were able to be seated quickly. One of the waitresses even found a safe place to charge my cell phone. Did I mention the food? The BBQ was delicious and reasonably priced. Awesome!

Great place with an outstanding view, ask to sit upstairs! The bbq menu offer good options and great prices. The good outstanding including the burnt ends and pulled pork and baked beans. The beer list is average. Would definately return!

Went for lunch before cubs game. There was a wait because the whole are was slammed, but they were pretty accurate on wait times, and staff went out of their way to make sure everyone waiting was as comfortable as possible, had drinks if they wanted them, etc. There was live music playing downstairs, which was great music, but a bit loud for much conversation. We were able to sit upstairs, which was comfortable and pleasantly cool on a heatwave day. Good and drinks were good. Drinks were definitely pricey for the size, but food prices were pretty reasonable, and portions were big. Drinks were tasty at least - we had the adult cherry cola and their version of a Pimm’s cup. Someone in our party had several allergies which were kindly accommodated. The brisket was delicious, the Mac and cheese was a tasty side, and the chicken salad with cornbread croutons was awesome. Service was attentive (esp given how crowded it was) and friendly. I would definitely return if in the area again.

As a local, i chose to visit on a day the Cubs were not playing. I would imagine it to be a very "busy" spot on game days, but it was thankfully quiet when i stopped in. Service was attentive and friendly, and the space is clean, industrial and upbeat. Now, on to the food: I had the pulled pork and brisket combination. Both were tender with VERY little extra fat, which is appreciated, but nothing stood out as fantastic. The house sauce is a little cumin heavy for my tastes, and that sauce is used in the baked beans as well. It almost overpowers any flavor from the dry rub, but the Kansas City Sweet sauce it quite nice. In the future, i would make sure to order without the standard sauce topping.

The pulled pork nachos were amazing. They were listed in the appetizer section, but are more like a main course. There was a lot of food there!! Service was amazing!!

First time in Chicago, my wife and I were around Wrigley Field during a baseball game. We were hungry and decided to try Smoke Daddy's. The door man was huge and intimidating, but was actually very friendly. Once inside, we were seated quickly. The restaurant was actually not crowded at all. We were greeted quickly by our friendly server. She brought our drinks quickly and answered any questions we had about the menu. Once we ordered our food was brought out pretty quickly. While not the best BBQ we have ever had, it was still pretty delicious. Overall, a very good meal, with excellent service. My only complaint was that the noise level. The ballgame was obviously being broadcast inside the restaurant. However, with only half the restaurant being full, the volume level of the game was turned up as though they were trying to allow people a mile away hear the broadcast. Even the server had to apologize at how loud it was. It made it difficult to have a conversation at the table, let alone communicate with our server.

My husband an I were staying at the Zachary Hotel after a cubs loss and we wanted to brighten on evening with some good grub. This place did not disappoint! I got Nachos and he got the brisket and cornbread. We were in heaven. Definitely going back!!!! The service was great as well.

Visited before a cubs game. BBQ was good. Places is very nice and right across street from Wrigley. Had Shredded Pork BBQ, ribs and Brisket. We enjoyed it all. Good selection of beer. Place is comfortable and kid friendly. They take reservations via Reserve.

We enjoyed our lunch at Smoke Daddy. Prices were very reasonable. I had the pulled pork sandwich, and my husband had the Freak, which was smoked corn beef on rye with swiss cheese. Our server Brendan did a great job of looking after us!

We took a tour of Wrigley Field and then stopped in at Smoke Daddy for an afternoon meal. Our food was great! I loved the atmosphere and the service!

We visited Chicago for 3 days as part of a family trip and were advised to go to Wrigley Field to see the Cub's stadium. We wanted to eat out and this place seemed perfect. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was delicious and really great value. We had two BBQ trays between 5 of us and it was the perfect amount. A great way to finish off a memorable day in Chicago.

The BBQ alone is worth it, but when you add the live blues . . . . I could stay there for hours!! If you can get a seat on the main floor or at the bar, you are guaranteed to have a great time!!

Staff was very pleasant. Has live music, lots of TVs, open air front of restaurants, 2 floors. Food was ok, 4 BBQ sauces were nothing fancy, Mac & cheese noodles were not cooked. Served the purpose. Portions were generous.

I had lunch here before the Cubs game and was ready for some brisket. What a major disappointment! These people have never been south of Madison street. I had ordered burnt ends for $1 more. The only thing they got right was the $1. I couldn’t eat the brisket without trimming off all of the fat on the brisket. There were no burnt ends, just inferior brisket. After trimming off 40% if the fat, it left me with not too much to eat. If they are interested in bar-b-que, they should go to the Hungry Bear in Gattlinburg, TN or Red Star in Lexington, KY. They know how to smoke brisket, which Smoke Daddy has not. My son also had brisket and did not like it. Brisket needs to be cooked long and slow, it appears that this has not been learned. I had cole slaw for a side and left most of it on the plate. My sons side was macaroni and cheese. They don’t know how to make this either. Simply AWFUL. With all of the upscale eateries in the area, some other place would be better. If you want good bar-b-que, go to the aforementioned places. If you want roadkill, you are at the right place. Bon appetite.

My family and I came here for lunch before the Cubs game. I choose this placed based on Yelp reviews. I dont know who the people are giving this place 5 stars. They must have never had anything BBQ in their life. Where to start: The service: We were promptly greeted and asked if we wanted to sit outside or inside. We sat outside with a nice view of Wrigley Field, no wait needed. The waitress was friendly and took care of my kids, ages 8 and 12. No problems here. My 8 year old ordered the chicken strips with fries. Although he was not a fan he is a very picky eater. My wife tried the strips and said they were good. My 12 year old loves BBQ and ordered a pull pork sandwich. Although he ate it, he was not impressed and passed up additional meats from my order, including the ribs which he normally LOVES. My wife and I ordered the the Big City Eats. A choice of 2 meats, half slab of baby back ribs, half slab of St Louis ribs, quarter of a chicken and 3 sides. We choose the pulled pork, brisket, coleslaw, cornbread and mac N cheese all for $55. I asked how much of the 2 meats came with the meal and was told about 5 ounces. What can I say, the ribs were average at best. They would have been better but they were slathered with their original BBQ sauce which was a vinegar based sauce and not at all to our liking. They did have a smokey sweet sauce which was pretty good, however since all the meats (except the chicken) were already covered in this other sauce, the good BBQ sauce taste was overpowered by the other one. Both the pulled pork and the brisket were more fat than anything else. It was pretty much inedible. The chicken was pretty good, but dry The cornbread was different. That is all I can say, it was not good, but it was not bad, just different. The slaw was pretty good. It had a good cilantro and wet mayo taste. The Mac N cheese I found to be very tasty while my wife disliked it. Both my kids enjoyed the it aswell. We found that kids eat free for lunch during the week, so that was a nice bonus. All and all, very disappointing as a BBQ place as the main part of the meal was not fit for consumption. When it arrived, I had high Hope's by the tasty look, but in the end was full of disappointment.

Went here with a friend after a Cubs game. The service was good, waitress was friendly, and I like the location and layout. The food was average at best. I hadn’t been here before, so we decided to get a sampler that included the ribs, burnt ends (which I never had) and chicken. The waitress told us people love the the corn bread and Mac and cheese. Well, the burnt ends were good and everything else was mediocre. The corn bread was ok, Mac & cheese not so much, and ribs were average. I was disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend it and won’t be back because there are too many restaurants in the area.

We went to SMOKE DADDY before a Cubs game and got there a bit early as we planned to shop and eat lunch first. We ordered the brisket and pulled pork and both were wonderful. For a side we had the smoked beans and they were fabulous. Our waiter was super. We are doing carb free so asked for no buns and they brought a generous amount of meat just like we asked. Nice place.

The chicken wings are big, it's a full wing and drumstick. Beer is a bit pricey. Limited menu, but very tasty.

The order was missing multiple items. No effort was made by the restaurant to make things right. Dishonest business...
Great BBQ
4 of us had lunch here today before the Cubs Game and we were very pleased we picked Smoke Daddy amongst the many choices in Rickettsville. We started out with the nachos with brisket and they were excellent. Between us we had a cheeseburger (one in every crowd), the Freak, the Daddy-O and the Smoked Meat Platter with brisket & pork. Everyone raved about the generous portions as well as the excellent flavor of everything including the sides. The cole slaw, fries and smoked pit bean sides were great. Super nice atmosphere and the service was excellent! Great place for a pre or post Cubs game being right across the street from Wrigley.
