I will be brunching here for a while :)

By mkazmie |

After our 10K run at the Houston Half this past weekend, we had planned to go eat at this esteemed establishment. Knowing the wait time was going to be an hour due to it's popularity we were prepared we sent our people a little before the race ended to secure seats for 10K runners and Half Marathoners. We did not have to wait the whole hour, this place was busy and this was my first time here. I was like man this better be good for the wait. And guess what I was not disappointed! I ordered the Benny Duo; Steak and Eggs Benny and Bella Balla Benny and I was not disappointed! But i was left craving for more! I tasted all the other dishes that our group ordered was pleasantly surprised that they all tasted great. I am coming back here again and again until I have a bad experience! Which I am hoping not cause I love brunch ;)

Keep wondering if I should return…

By Aquassance |

After many poor food experiences here, I feel compelled to notify other diners. The food is very tasty and the service is great; but, I often get cold food or wait an extreme amount of time for it, sometimes both. Last week, I dined here alone and waited over thirty minutes for my food after ordering. Today, my son’s eggs arrived stone cold.

Amazing Pancakes!!

By Heidi K |

This place has amazing breakfast. This is an eclectic little restaurant that serves traditional breakfast items with creative twists. The staff is friendly and very attentive. If you go you must try the pancakes. The pancake flight is a sure bet as you get to choose three different types of pancakes to try. On this visit I chose the pineapple upside down pancakes, the Sunburst pancakes, and a blueberry danish pancakes. All three were melt in your mouth and bring a tear to your eyes good. My favorite was the sunburst cakes. The homemade lemon glaze paired with the fresh blackberries was to die for. My husband got the snooze breakfast burrito. This is big enough you could actually share if you wanted to. They also have a wonderful assortment of morning cocktails and brews. This place gets very busy especially on the weekends so go early if not expect to have a wait. We will be going back!!

Eggs Benedict

By thecountrytraveller0 |

These are the best eggs Benedict I ever ate. The grits and pulled pork underneath the eggs Benedict were delectable. It was a little noisy but thats expected with all the customers there. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and trendy plus the staff were all nice and friendly. I will come back.

Great breakfast eatery

By MartyParty4 |

Great breakfast eatery after we had a medical procedure. Staff was nice, food took a bit longer than usual but it was all delicious. Pay at the table option was nice for checkout.

Great Breakfast!!!

By wolfpackgirl12 |

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and it was delicious!!! The cappuccino was okay. I definitely recommend eating here for breakfast.

Wonderful Brunch

By Travlerlee |

Was invited to go to brunch for a work lunch and jumped at the chance because I have been wanting to try this place so glad I did. The food was amazing we ordered corn beef hash, Havana daydreaming and Chiliecilas Benidict they were are delicious. I like the retro decor and the service was incredible! You have to try this place! I will be back

Consistently Good and Very Reasonable

By seabrookspace |

We ate her all three days of our trip. Fast service and a very good value. They were a hit! They even serve spirits although we didn’t try any. The concensus was why look for another place to eat so we tried a wide variety of their menu selections. All were good!

Summer and Cash

By Jon C |

We have brought our two kids, (summer, a black lab) and (cash, a yellow lab mix) a couple times in the last few weeks and the breakfast burrito with ranchero is to die for!

Good breakfast wth a long wait

By Amy G |

I've never had to wait so long to eat breakfast but will admit it was yummy. This is a trendy chain. Fun decor, lots of alcohol on the menu. My blueberry danish pancakes were delicious. They lost a point because I ordered my scrambled eggs dry and they were not. When you wait so long to eat, you don't want to waste any more time sending something back. My husband loved his pineapple pancakes and eggs Benedict concoction. The waitstaff was interesting. There were lots of unusual outfits and makeup on display. Good breakfast wth a long wait.

Birthday breakfast!

By txteacher_girl |

My son loves breakfast! I think he'd eat it 3 meals a day and snacks if he could. It was about 30 miles away, but he picked Snooze for his birthday dinner--yes, he chose birthday breakfast instead. Hubby and son ordered the Snooze Spud and enjoyed it. They did think it needed a little sauce. Daughter and I tried the Chilaquiles Benedict. They were yummy with perfectly poached eggs. I had mine with dressed greens--delish!--and my daughter had a side of fresh, sweet fruit. Dad ordered the breakfast burrito and could only finish half of the massive meal. Son's gf ordered the blueberry danish pancakes and said they were divine! All in all, the food was good with unique options. Service was a little slow, but they were busy, so kinda understandable. I wouldn't drive across town to go again, but I would go back if we were out that way.

Must go for breakfast!

By Gene P |

One of the best breakfast experiences I have had. Place is cool, wait staff is knowledgeable and efficient, and the food was excellent. Orange juice blend was the best ever. The Bacon But Different is great. Make sure you try the cinnamon roll pancakes - they are a hidden menu item. All six of us had something different and it was all great.

Lack of Service

By Voyager52562598459 |

The parking lot is very small so had to circle the block and then park down a side road. The service was not that great, had to pretty much hunt people down anytime you needed anything. Food was pretty good but not the greatest. I would go back but I’m not in a rush to do so.

Phenomenal brunch 😁👌🏻😋

By OscarJ1985 |

Finally got the opportunity to go to snooze and eat some brunch with a couple friends, and wow was I impressed.. there food is sooo good I would highly recommend going there.. One thing I will suggest is be prepared to wait at least for an hour. It's definitely worth it

Great breakfast/brunch spot in Montrose district of Houston--go early!

By Aj H |

I love to eat out but I hate to stand in line and wait. We had been wanting to try Snooze for weeks, but every time we drove by it looked there was a long line, even on weekday mornings. So we decided to go at opening time on a Sunday morning, when it was basically empty--by 7:15 the place was packed. Friendly, personable server. Great 50s/60s decor in terms of furniture and colors. We split the corned beef hash and the breakfast tacos with extra added avocado. Both were delicious, and the tacos had a "chili hollandaise" that was outstanding. Tempted to try the pancakes, next time will try one of the pineapple upside down pancakes on the side--they did look delicious. Excellent coffee, and they offer you a "to go" cup which is a definite plus. Will definitely go back...and will definitely be on the early side. Highly recommended.

We’ll definitely be back!

By Kelly H |

We went mid morning on a Tuesday. Didn’t expect it to be very busy- we were wrong! As others have stated parking is a nightmare. Snooze has about ten spaces and anything else is on the street. We drove around the block twice before we found anything available. Upon entering we were greeted immediately and seated right away. Most seats don’t have much privacy but there are a few booths that do. Menus offer plenty of options, but it’s not to the point of being overwhelming. I got the Italian Eggs Benedict with prosciutto and it was amazing. My husband got the “OMG French toast” and it was truly OMG! They offer flights of pancakes too. We will be back for sure and the French toast is mine next time!!

Excellent breakfast!

By Mary Ann P |

We had the bravocado toast & a veggie omelet. Both were delicious. The bravicado has a sweet kick to it that I really enjoyed. Definitely worth the 20 minute wait.

must go place for brunch

By Howietravels |

we go here for brunch just about every trip to Houston. the food is fantastic & there are so many fabulous dishes to choose from on the menu. be prepared to wait awhile for a table - it's a very popular place! everything we've ever ordered here has been so very good.

Could not believe it. :(

By Parttimetravele |

This was about my fifth visit to Snooze. Overall we like it. We are questioning our return though. Two times in a row, and about a month apart, we had terrible experiences. The first time we waited over 40 minutes and turns out either the waitress forgot to put the order in, or the kitchen missed it. On our April visit after at least one hour we got our meal. The manager was very nice, courteous and apologetic to us. We thought it was a one time experience. Three of us returned on May 24. There were very few customers there. It took over 30 minutes for me to get a cappuccino. I asked the waitress why she hadn't been kind enough to tell me that the barrista was backed up, so that I could ordered a plain cup of coffee. (We had noticed there was a help wanted sign in the window when we entered.) I got the dish I always get, the egg frittata. It was under cooked. The server try to tell me that's just the way it's meant to be. I did not want to risk under cooked eggs!!! When done properly, it is a wonderful blend of flavors. I sent it back and went home without having eaten. I'm not sure what's happened to Snooze but they need to get back on track!!! We are not returning!

Great options for special dietary needs

By Jill G |

Gluten-free, dairy free, vegan and vegetarian options available. Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten-free! Great service and amazing food!

Long Queues (Sort of) Bely the Goodness

By Ojugbana |

It was packed & that's usually a huge turn-off. That then begged the question "is it 'cause of the 'need to be among' or is the food that good?" The food is good!!!!! The long wait aside, the service felt personalized e.g. senior kitchen staff a.k.a. the chef came out to discuss the order & the associated wait time. The food too, seemed almost 'customizable" a.k.a. different flair to the same item. Parking could also be an issue....but I gather that's part of the "bated breath" experience for some people.

Wow! Everything I could want in a breakfast!

By Kelly H |

This place is the most amazing breakfast place I’ve ever eaten at! Especially the breakfast pot pie so damn good!! I wish there was one in Alabama!

Wish there was one near me

By Towleway |

Snooze is busy and for good reason. The drinks are great, the service is great, and the food was out of this world. Giant menu so there's something for everyone. Please open one of these in Dallas!

Well worth a visit!

By ellzebeth |

So many delicious sounding items on the menu, no way to try them all in one visit...we'll just have to go back. The menu is fun, with so many options and even some they will happily let you mix and match. Our waitress was wonderful, knew the menu inside out, and very bubbly and friendly, helped us select some great things to try. The pear drink is fantastic, their pancake of the day delightful, the eggs done perfectly, and still there is so much more I want to try - definitely going back!

Breakfast Option

By amydeloach |

Long wait. Service slow. Had to ask for coffee etc. pineapple upside down pancake comes with a cream sauce and not syrup. I requested syrup because it needed it. Large portions.

First time to eat here. Not impressed

By Dan D |

The only thing served Hot was the coffee. Food was not even warm. Food looked and tasted pretty good, But it's Not that good when served barely lukewarm.

OK breakfast, not worth the hype

By Joe V |

The food is okay but not great. The bacon I got was stone cold. Their OMG French toast is good but not great, only real flavor was sweet. The coffee is way too strong. The waitress was good. The place seemed clean but the floor was slippery.

Great brunch venue

By Lizanner2014 |

We had a great breakfast with 2 small children in tow one Sunday morning in November, varied choice of food on the menu, especially liked the avocado on toast. Plenty of bottomless cups of coffee, friendly waiters, but it’s popular and very busy at peak times, but worth the wait

breakfast

Delicious Variety

By Enna Fatfatgonefit |

Something for everyone. The pancakes are HUGE and yummy. The best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had...I subbed out the sausage and added soyrizo instead-delicious! The sweet potato hash is sweet and spicy. Definitely a weekly go-to for brunch!

Brunch after church

By conradlcsw |

First visit here last seating about two pm. The eggs and coffee are very good. Service can be delayed had to ask to be waited on once seated.

Good clean breakfast diner

By Xhara71 |

Came here one morning for breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. My son wanted a full cooked breakfast (as teenage boys always do!) while I wanted something a bit more healthy. So I had the Quinoa porridge which although looked small was very filling. Friendly staff, clean building, food tasted good, all in all a place I’d come back to

Loved the fun menu and hip vibe!

By Michele D |

I had heard the lines and parking were awful here. We went to lunch at 1:30 on a Tuesday and got right in. Greeter was excellent and he sent us a free pineapple upside down pancake to try - To Die for! Spoons was our server and she was excellent! Not the place to go if you are watching calories. Came here on a business lunch, drinks looked fun but I couldn't indulge.

Best Brunch in Houston

By Mohammad B |

I have to say, I wasn't sure what all the hype was about this place. I've been here a few times now and the food here is great and def worth the wait (whatever wait time they tell you it's actually a lot less) which roughly is 45-1hr during peak time. The best time to go if you want to avoid a long wait is to go around 130ish. I've gotten the rancheros huevos and those are amazing, Lots of flavor and you can't go wrong with it. Most recently, I got the corned beef hash and it tastes delicious, highly recommend it! My wife got the elota Benedict, and it was good as well, honestly can't go wrong wth anything on the menu here. For dessert we got the French toasts (see the picture) this is probably some of the best French toast in Houston! If you come here, you have to try the French toast, it's a must!

First time visiting this restaurant, while in Houston. My breakfast choice of 'Smashed Avocado Benny' was delicious...service was excellent. Also enjoyed a 'Bangkok' Bloody Mary...perfect!

Breakfast!

Get here at 630 when it opens. Food is awesome! We always get the pancake of the day for the table. Haven't been disappointed. The tacos and omelettes are great!

Miscommunication, sloppy service & cooking leads to unwanted confrontations

By zanne01 |

Sadly, my experience this morning was awful, the service, the food. At first, management made it clear they saw me as the problem rather than the front or back of the house or the wording on the menu. I ordered the continental, which is billed as granola, yogurt, grapefruit half, and toast. I asked if I could substitute the yogurt for an alternative meat patty and could have soy milk on the granola. My friend ordered a meal with bacon and asked for fresh cooked rather than pre-cooked much earlier and served from the warming tray. I was told yes.The waitress seemed dubious about getting the kitchen to cook fresh bacon, but isn't that why one comes to a sit down restaurant and orders off the menu instead of a buffet line or going to fast food? The meal arrived with no granola at all. After asking about its status, I was delivered what was announced as a side of granola, no soy milk. It was in a 1-inch deep bowl of 2-inch diameter, a condiment bowl. That didn't mesh with what I thought I had ordered, so I checked a menu. Granola was the first item listed, which in my experience means is the main item. The waitress came by and seemed surprised, too, at the small size. She said the yogurt was the main thing, so this was what came out. The menu should probably have read "yogurt with a granola toppng." The alternative patty was not a cooked patty of the consistency of faux sausage patty, but a dark orange and brown flat 4-inch wide 3/4-inch high mushy patty with the consistency of mashed potatoes. It had a ketchup taste, not like alternative meat patties I had ordered elsewhere or made from the grocery store. I put this down to my lack of knowledge of Snooze's offerings and made a mental note to myself not to order that again. The toast was not browned, more untoasted than toasted and came without any butter available, just dry and partially toasted. Guess the kitchen was in a hurry on that. With granola being the first item, I interpreted it as a bowl, not a condiment sized topping. The grapefruit half was not sectioned or cut around the outside circumference, just cut in half. Guess the kitchen was in a hurry again? Why would a full service breakfast not cut the grapefruit? I could see this if it came with a grapefruit spoon or pointy knife so I could get out the sections, but it did not. So, after eating the partial toast and being able to get out some of the grapefruit half, I felt disenchanted. $8.50 for 1 piece of incompletely toasted bread and a grapefruit half whose sections were not accessible. I thought about this while finishing my first cup of coffee. Meanwhile, my friend's bacon came out cold and greasy. He sent it back, again asking for hot, blotted, fresh cooked bacon. The cook came out and told him it would be 15 minutes to get the bacon, He agreed, explaining that was why he came to a full-service breakfast place rather than McDonald's and did get his request. He said it was good. By now, my coffee had been empty a long time. I got up in search of some, poured it myself, while surrounded by staff who never asked to get it for me or even wondered why a customer was pouring her own coffee. I sat down with it and my waitress, who was quite nice, never noticed I had had to get my own. By now, not one to make a scene or generally complain -- I usually chalk it up as a learning experience and avoid the restaurant or the menu items in the future -- I decided to ask to speak with the manager. I apologized to him that my experience was not going well and showed him what I had received while explaining the problem. He said the granola was a supposed to be a side. I asked him how I was to know that from the menu when it did not say granola was a side and was listed as the first item. He jumped in that I was not letting him finish talking. Clearly, he did not want to hear about the menu miscommunication, so I told him that since he did not want to listen to me, I would just pay and leave. As I got out my card to pay, I shared told him about the mushy patty and uncut grapefruit and having to get my own coffee refill. He refused to take my card, so we left it at that, him clearly seeing me as the problem rather than the menu wording, front of the house, and back of the house. My friend finished, and as we prepared to leave, unexpectedly, a bowl of dry granola appeared, no soy or other milk, and lovely, large sections of cut grapefruit. The bowl was what I had originally expected, albiet it was still a bowl of dry granola without any type of milk. The grapefruit slices were at least 4 times the size of those that were in my original grapefruit half. They were quite lovely. I shared that observation with my friend. At this point, the man at the next table leaned over and told me I had done nothing but complain, was ruining his breakfast (he had not received anythng yet), and these were minimun-wage workers so I should accept what I got. Seriously? Be careful of standing up for youself in today's brave new world..

Excellent Breakfast in Houston

By gordonc11 |

We had a late morning Tuesday breakfast here. We were lucky and found a parking spot right in front of the main door. It's obviously a favorite spot of locals as well as tourists and that's always a good sign. Our server, Amberghini, was friendly, courteous and helpful. Their menu is extensive and it takes a while to digest it. The decor is early Ikea and the place is clean and well maintained. My wife went for the French Toast Neat and I had the Snooze Classic. Her French toast came with blue berries and strawberries. My Snooze Classic came with three over easy eggs, a nice slice of ham, hash browns and sourdough toast. Presentation was fine and everything was prepared precisely as requested and tasted great. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at Snooze's.

Good for breakfast

By Cflights |

The sweet potato pancakes were good. Service was ok. It was a very busy weekend and long wait. The seating could have bees better in able to seat more people and faster.

Brunch here!!

By yellowrose |

We usually frequent the Heights location but ended coming here since we only had about an hour till closing. Lucky for us, we got a (parallel) parking spot right on the street in front of Snooze. They’ve got a small parking lot right next to the restaurant. As we walked towards the door, I noticed that their patio section looked small. Once inside, we got our name on the list and just stood around waiting. It’s a tiny waiting area. There’s a little coffee bar set up so you can grab a complimentary cup of coffee while you wait for a table to become available. From my vantage point at the front, I could see that this is indeed a small location. They’ve got a good amount of booths and tables but it doesn’t look that big of a space. I like that they keep a big space clear in the middle so it’s not all cramped when walking to your table or to leave. The bar area has seating for nine plus one handicapped spot. They have the usual round curving booths we see in all Snooze locations. This time, even though it was just the three of us, we were able to get one of those large round booths! Once in our booth, someone came to get our drink order. After a bit longer, we ordered our food. I opted for the steak and eggs benny, as did my husband. We also ordered a pineapple upside down pancake to share bc who comes here and doesn’t order a delicious Snooze pancake? My son got a kids pancake meal which came with a fruit cup and hash browns. He got their pancake of the day. I can’t remember what it was called but it had melted white chocolate chips in it amongst other flavors. He ended up enjoying it. I loved my steak and eggs benny. They cook it all just right. The hash browns are delish. The steak was tender. Everything was good! It’s always great at Snooze!

Awesome

By Lisa B |

We had an awesome breakfast! I had their signature sweet potato pancake (one was enough) and crispy bacon. My husband had eggs and hash browns. It was delicious especially the pancake. The coffee is excellent as is the service. Parking was a bit of an issue, but worth it.

So good I ate there two days in a row

By often_crabby-travele |

Yesterday I had an eggs benedict Italian style with prusciutto instead of CB, and italian soft cheese instead of Hollandaise. Service was fantastic. Today I had a more traditional benedict but service was terrible. Coffee was really good. Nice location by the Galleria and my hotel, free parking. I'll be back.

Great food and service

By Jerry F |

First off like many other reviews have stated the parking is bad for two reasons the location and the fact they're busy and the small parking lot can't support the traffic they get park on the street and you're fine. I went on a Sunday got there around 8 right before the rush got there and without a doubt enjoyed my time I had a snooze burrito and the butterscotch french toast and they were both fantastic the wife had an eggs benedict meal and my daughter had pancakes and all those plates were empty my waitress was Safora I hope that's how she spells it but she was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. I have to give 5 stars because the parking isn't their fault the wait isn't their fault because it's so busy. Get there early if you have an issue with either of those two things otherwise if you're patient you'll be rewarded with a great meal.

Huge variety and tasty food

By Shivana P |

Loved the variety on the menu and the options available, especially healthy ones. Everything we ordered was so good! I also like that it's child friendly with a kids menu. The service was good and quick. It's a great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Worth the wait

By Scott M |

Food is beautiful and delicious here - very creative breakfast concoctions. Service terrific. Had the Benedict, which is fresh corn cakes topped by two eggs and benedict sauce. Also had the egg white frittata, with fresh veggies - quite light. Good coffee, good prices. Only a mile up the road from the Museum Campus.

You will wish you had two stomach's...

By southlakealice |

So, my son, who lives in Houston (I do not) suggested Snooze to meet my husband and I for breakfast. He had been there once before. I'll start with the only negative, parking, not a lot of spaces. That said, the food was wonderful. Our wait person, Kat, was a delight. Husband and I arrived earlier than the son so we waited over a cup of coffee while studying the menu. There are too many delicious choices that this took me a bit of time to decide on something. I had the Snooze signature breakfast pastry thing. It had rosemary sausage gravy over a light flaky pastry shell, with an over easy egg on top. This was very nice, a large portion and tasty. My son ordered two different eggs benedicts. One had salmon (lox) and the other was the chilaquile, I think. He gave me a taste of both of these, and I determined that I should have ordered that instead. The flavors were just out of this world. My husband went basic with eggs. sausage, hash browns and a side pancake. Kat, sensing my desire to order all things on the menu but only having one stomach, sent us a sweet potato pancake as an appetizer, on her. I thought that was very very thoughtful on her part and extremely gracious. I really was impressed with that action on her part. The sweet potato pancake was also a great tasting treat and definitely something I'd order. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice, not too loud, a little quirky, kind of retro furnishings. It was also clean and all the wait staff were hopping and attentive to their customers. I'd go back for another meal in a New York minute.

super breakfast spot

By Chris R |

Same as the one in Denver...great great breakfast place but be prepared to wait. Your wait will be rewarded though with delicious breakfast options (i had pot pie i believe, yummm) Fresh squeezed orange juice...trerrific bloody mary's...I could go on and on but the long lines to get in speak volumes ...if you're in the area GO!!!

Sat joel

By Joel R |

Great place for breakfast or brunch 7 days a week. Wait can be long on weekends but it’s worth it. Eggs, pancakes, omelettes are all top notch.

Willing to customize your order

By Allan P |

Went to this establishment this morning..tiny parking lot but adequate turn over to find a spot. The waitress was excellent. She walked us through variations to meet our needs. I strongly recommend this place for the "picky eater" as they will make it "your way"!

Good, Trendy, Long Waits

By TheSupanClan |

We had been to the Snooze in Katy and loved it. Tried this one and it's very trendy and good. Expect a long wait. Parking is not great, though we did luck out and get one in the main lot. Very nice staff, love the french toast with marscapone. Kids were happy with their pancakes. They have a secret menu so ask about that!

Bright, colorful, upbeat and delicious!

By Laura W |

A friend took me hear for brunch, because we were craving pancakes. The give you coffee or water while you wait for a table, and the whole restaurant is filled with vibrant colors and decor. Service was good and we were given a free Blueberry Danish pancake that was AMAZING! Their OMG! French Toast was also top notch. Some of the best pancakes and french toast I've ever had. They were busy when we were there so a little noisy but not bad at all - to me it was part of the youthful vibe of the place.

Great pancakes

By Baebgurl J |

This place is small and the wait for breakfast was too long. We went on a Saturday morning and the wait was 45 mins to an hour. That was ridiculous. So we ended up ordering to go which took 20 mins. The food was good but I wouldn't eat in there.

Worth the wait

By Jo S |

Be prepared to wait 35min or more... cause it's totally worth it. Very unique food combos. Variety of beverages, even adult breakfast themed drinks. If you're thinking about the pancakes, they're plate sized yumm. None of the food looked bad. Pretty sure they wouldn't know how to make bad food. Also they're very into local foods and sustainability.

DEEEEEEELICIOUS!!!! 😋

By LiveLaughLoveT_08 |

Oh my!!! The food and cocktails are fresh and delicious!! My friend and I ordered French toast, tacos with shrimp, sweet potato pancake, and mmm mimosas! The mimosas were a little thick from the fresh juice with pulp but were good! Good service and nice climate! Not expensive! Go with a few family members or friends and order various dishes to share! You will love it!! Go early and be prepared to wait if there is a crowd.

Great Breakfast, Served Late

By Romulas80 |

Didn't realize this was a chain when we went here. We were just looking for a place to get a good breakfast after 11 am. Apparently, they have these in San Antonio, too, so I will have to check them out because we loved it. The best thing about the menu is they have sampler versions of everything. So, we got the Signature Pancake Flight, which let us try three different pancakes we couldn't choose between and the Benny Duo, with Habanero Pork Belly Benny and Pork Chile Verde Benny. Our favorite of the three pancakes was the Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes and favorite benedict was the Habanero Pork Belly Benny, which was so incredibly good I can't wait to go again to eat another one. They also have ample outdoor seating. They were crazy busy, so service was a bit slow and parking is a nightmare, but maybe other locations won't have that problem. We will definitely go again.

Best gluten-free pancakes!

By Joanne F |

I have celiac disease and have not often found delicious light pancakes that are gluten-free. I had one blueberry pancake and one blueberry Danish pancake — both delicious, but my favorite was the blueberry pancake; their hash browns were also gluten-free and delicious. My husband had 3 fried eggs, sausage, a hash brown patty and toast. Then he “helped” me finish the Danish blueberry pancake to make sure it was as good as I said it was. EVERYTHING was delicious, and service was great. Get there early . . . This place fills up fast! The address for the Snooze we visited was 600 Sam Houston in the Town and Country Shopping Mall.

Wonderfully Unique

By Tamtot |

Weekday. 10:30 am. Quite a line. 30 -40 minute wait. Worth it?? Completely. Huevos Rancheros, French Toast Neat, Breakfast Pot Pie, and Apple Pie Pancakes? Heaven. Super friendly waiter, cool vibe. Definitely will return when we are in town again.

Patience ... lots of patience

By Stephen-Gent_Belgium |

If you want a ayicl and go breakfast don’t go to Snooze - waiting line +30min and getting served another half an hour. Food is good but you might grab something at Jack in the box across the street if you are 2 hungry :-)

da food was delicious ! :)

By Lucasisthebest |

So good, it is the breakfast place for everyone, friends, and family. It was very enjoyable, though it was a little crowded.

Great Breakfast Venue

By MaltaBound |

I just Love their breakfast! The menu is extensive, so take your time. The flight of pancakes seems is popular and you get to choose your specific pancakes from a variety, but I went for the hash. Very unique and tasty. Coffee is fresh and refilled often, coupled with exemplary service. Come early and forget the wait, otherwise, plan on hanging around for a table. That simply means great food.

Unfortunately, Snooze has gone downhill since opening. 3 stars now, used to be 5!

By Aj H |

We have eaten at Snooze numerous time since opening in Montrose, and unfortunately it has gone downhill. First things first. After being seated in the back part of the restaurant (which was fine with us) we were aware that we were listening to disco music in the main dining area, as well as different music being played in the kitchen. This should be an easy problem to solve by the management. We asked for milk with our coffee and the server brought cream. One of us ordered the breakfast tacos, the other a standard 3 eggs with toast, potatoes, and chicken sausage. We asked for jelly for the toast and were brought a tiny cup containing approximately 2 teaspoons of jelly. It would be preferable to have the old individual packets of jelly on the table if the management is going to be this stingy. The potatoes with the eggs and the tacos were not crisp at all, but instead fairly greasy. The server brought tomatillo sauce but we had to ask for red hot sauce. When Snooze opened, they immediately brought 3 types of salsa to the table. So it's lots of little things, which could easily be corrected by management and the cooks. Until then, I think I will just go to some of the other places in Montrose--Harry's Diner, La Guadalupana, Baby Barnaby's...or maybe even back to House of Pies, which is truly retro, and where the biscuits are hot and they aren't so stingy with the jelly.

Amazing eats with wonderful staff!

By Kelly K |

This is my second time here and I am still amazed! Had the corn beef hash the first visit and it was awesome! Ate every bite! This time around, got the pancake/French toast flight and the Benny Goodman. Delish! Staff is super nice and easy going. Love this place for after work!

Busy place but worth it!! So good

By efm16 |

This is truly my favorite breakfast place in the country (all locations are good!). Super fridndstaff here and the food it just so yummy! Tons of good gluten free options too (including flights of pancakes!!!). Finding out that there was one in Houston made my day and I was pumped to eat there. They are pretty much always busy, so I recommend getting there early and/or earlier than you actually want to eat.

Just as good as Phoenix location

By JennyMarie82 |

Last year while in Phoenix/Scottsdale, we did breakfast at a Snooze and liked it. When we saw there was a location in Houston, we planned to eat there and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the server friendly.

Love this place

By v4510 |

First visit, but really enjoed it. Parhi g can be a challenge, but this is Houston. The lines looked daunting but it moved very quickly and the complimentary coffee helped. I had the french toast with bacon. It was topped with blueberries and strawberries and sweet cream on top with mable syrup. This was so good I ate it all. The drink was called hammer thyme. So good gave the impression of a healthy tea, with a kick, yum. Maggie was our server at the bar. Quick, efficient, pleasent. Thank you.

Best corned beef hash

By Chris M |

Stopped in with some friends for a brunch and was not disappointed. The corned beef hash was the best I have ever had, and the chocolate chip pancake was very good as well.

First visit to snooze

By TravelerinTX |

This was our first actual visit to Snooze. We tried a couple of times before but weren’t willing to wait the hour and a half. This time we went earlier and the wait was quoted at 30-40 minutes, so we waited. About 35 minutes later we were texted that our table was ready. We get to the table to peruse the menu. The waiter comes over to take our drink orders. Coffee for me and water for my spouse. After several minutes, the waiter returns with hot coffee and the water. He asks if we are test and we were. I ordered the snooze classic (eggs any way, I chose scrambled, hashbrown, chicken sausage (or bacon or sausage), and toast. My spouse chose to order the pancake flight. Three pancakes if your choice. He chose the pineapple upside down, the blueberry danish, and white chocolate and apple cinnamon. All three were very good, but the blueberry danish was his favorite. Our waiter was very slow but we were in no hurry. It began raining while we were in restaurant, the folks on the patio had to scatter. It would be nice if they are able to add an awning or covering on the patio in the future that way there are no issues if it rains. Just a thought. Overall we enjoyed our breakfast and will be returning (early) again soon.

Poor service, too hot, wobbly table, unsanitary waiters

By Linda H |

After waiting 20 minutes for a table we were seated near the kitchen door and within elbow's reach of our fellow diners. Our waitress took forever to come to our table and she wedged herself between our table and the next one so she could save herself time and get all of our orders at once. We waited and waited and waited.......never to see her again. The other two diners had tied her up with a thousand questions about the menu of which she did not know the answer and had to find out. While waiting for our drinks and food, I noticed quite a few waiters touching their hair or their face and saw one guy sneeze into his hands. No one washed their hands before serving food again. Ick!!! We walked out as we never did receive our drinks or food. Saw our waitress standing around with a confused look on her face. Not an experience I want when dining out. To make a situation even more uncomfortable, the air conditioning was not set properly as it was very hot and stuffy in the restaurant. Mulitple diners were discussing the heat. How they keep the crowds coming back is beyond me. We won't try to dine here again.

Wow!! Everything we tried

By jolleykat |

Wow!! Everything we tried was amazing! Our favorites were the Blueberry Danish Pancakes, Breakfast Pot Pie, and the Orange Defense Up juice. The staff was super friendly and the music was spot-on. It was an awesome experience!

Family Breakfast

By msr345 |

This is a very nice restaurant serving really good breakfast items. Since it was busy, manager Nick came and took our order and server took over then after. We had 3 different breakfast items among 4 of us and they were all very well prepared except the bacon was not crispy as we had requested. Server tried to change it but was not successful. The pancakes for desert were excellent as well.

Best breakfast in a long time

By Marie-Claude M |

I was visiting with a friend in Houston on November 12, 2017. We decided to meet for breakfast and after asking around for recommendations, Snooze seemed to be the overall favorite. We arrived around 10 a.m. on a Monday morning and we had to wait 30 mins for a table. I can't even imagine the wait on weekends but it was all worth it. The menu is extensive and you can customize your order. It was really difficult to choose anything from the menu as everything seemed delicious. I settled on the Bella Bella Benedict which consisted of prosciutto, cheddar hollandaise sauce, balsamic reduction and arugula with a rösti on the side. I asked to switch the ciabatta bread for English muffin. It was the best eggs Benedict I've ever had, hands down! My friend ordered an egg white omelette with bacon, spinach and a couple more ingredients to his liking. As a side, he requested the upside down pineapple pancake served with a crème anglaise and a cinnamon butter. WOW! I had never had pineapple chunks in a pancake batter before but I am now a convert. The pancake was so delicious and airy and just sweet enough. Syrup was served on the side but it was not needed. The prices were on par for a breakfast/brunch place. The staff members were all friendly, attentive and welcoming. I wish we had a place like that in my hometown. I would be a regular patron. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Snooze/ Austin

By Cynthia W |

Consistently awesome breakfast, including friendly service with a smile! Excellent breakfast tacos and pancakes to die for ‼️ Condiments are a bonus....Austin made🌟

We found our little piece of heaven!

By bubbles1 |

Casual, comfortable and incredible food. Don't miss this place. The Pineapple upside down pancakes are the closest thing to perfection.

Fresh food and prompt service

By kevinsmithd56 |

This is our new favorite brunch location. The food is truly fresh, the brunch drinks are delicious and the staff is incredibly helpful and patient. The pancake of the day was the Lemon Bar, and even with the lemon syrup you could taste the delicious, light and fluffy pancake without too much sugar taste. The Corned Beef Hash was a real winner - great eat taste without too much salt. The Bella! Bella! Benny eggs Benedict was spot on with a smooth and velvety yolk. Come early or be prepared to wait. It's worth the wait though!

Best brunch and breakfast food!

By AmiK2 |

The food here was delicious! We sat at the bar and the bartender was so helpful! We ended up getting gluten free cinnamon roll pancakes, a burrito, bacon, drinks and huevos Ranchero. Everything was amazing and those were the best gf pancakes I've ever tasted!

Good breakfast spot

By Stefano |

Came here for breakfast early while visiting in town. Service was great. Food was good accept the eggs were undercooked. I would recommend telling them how you would like eggs cooked if thats a problem. Would def come back again.

Why

By AUSAGUY007 |

, don't see all the rage of this place and why there is always a line outside and a wait I would say the food is about one notch above IHOP don't really see this concept lasting very long or the quality of the food staying like it is parking is a real problem and also it seems very disorganized when you put your name on the list and having them find you the space is so small there's really nowhere to wait

A higher quality of breakfast! Love it!

By MadyMadison |

I could tell by the way their juice taste if a restaurant signs to be a decent one or not, and this one is an awesome one in the neighborhood! :) I agree that Snooze is not your typical breakfast place, it's a bit more than that, I think it's more like a Chef-y Breakfast spot in town which means, they carefully cook and present their food for each customer's satisfaction. - Be prepared to wait (15-30 min) during the busy hours (which is most of their time) due its popularity. Parking is not easy but you could park a several meters away and walk shortly. - Once you got the table, service was quick and pleasant. The staff is pleasant, attentive and knowledgeable of their food selection. - Food selection. It offers a variety of food selection. From american style, european one and healthy choices. We have been here twice and they're all taste great! It's not greasy at all. The syrup for my kids' pancakes was good, the corned beef tastes excellent, my eggs benedict cooked perfectly. - For a family of 5, we spent $80 something. Of course it depends on what you order, but I think it's worth it. - Oh..and it's clean too! I'm glad that Houston has more option to enjoy a much higher quality of breakfast :)

Excellent

By Hana K |

We have tried to eat the breakfast at Snooze many times but every time the line was so long that we never made it. Eventually, my husband and I made it on Friday and everything was amazing. Our waitress Sugar was outstanding, when she found out that this is our first visit (after many attempts), she brought us the best pancake to try that we have never eaten before. The food was delicious, place very clean, waiting time not bad. I believe that the place is made by people. Thanks to waitresses such as Sugar we will definitely come again. Thank you for the experience, the place is worth the wait.

Visiting with family

By Murph1965 |

First off if you visit mid-morning or after be prepared to wait. This is true of most Snooze establishments. After we were seated our wait staff was marvelous, efficient and entertaining. The waiter immediately replaced our small self serve ceramic cups with the large table coffee cups and only had to ask once for refills. There were four of us at the table and to note all our meals were brought our at the same time and hot!. Good job! I had the Ham Benedict II with shaved hickory smoked ham, on their signature muffin, medium poached cage free eggs and hmmmm smoked cheddar hollandaise and hash browns. All was delictible. Coffee was good and non stop as were all our other drinks. My wife had the Snooze classic cage free eggs, scrabmled with bacon and sourdough toast. The scrambled eggs were perfect and moist without falling apart, the bacon was thick cut and crispy and not dry. Snooze is one of our favorites in San Antonio and wanted to introduce my brother and wife from Wisconsin to good Texas eats.

Best breakfast place in Htown!

By Nikki |

The service was great, the food was amazing. I had the breakfast tacos and the cherry pancake. I will definitely come back!

Fantastic

By Canauk |

Sat at bar to cut down wait time. Everything was great. Server was fantastic. Hottest coffee I’ve ever gotten at a restaurant. Overall great experience.

Awesome Environment & Experience!

By DeeJay |

First off, there will be a wait if you decide to come in the mid-morning, so be prepared for that. Walked in and was greeted by the friendly host. She automatically put us (it was a group of three) on the waiting list. However, she did give me tip to just wait until three seats was open at the bar and we can sit there. Soon, there were three seats available and we just sat ourselves after. The bartenders were beyond attentive and great, the food was awesome and delightful! After telling them it was my birthday, they gave me a complimentary pancake and a mimosa! All was so wonderful for my dining experience especially with my order. Their omelette and hash-browns were awesome and plated beautifully. The overall atmosphere is very modern with a splash of chic! Trust me, going here will be worth the wait! I highly recommend anyone who comes out to Houston to visit here! You will not regret it.

This food made me cry

By Steele Musgrove |

I cannot talk about this place without getting choked up about how good it is. I had a green chile pork eggs Benedict and an Italian eggs Benedict, and they came with this neat little hashbrown patty. Each hollandaise sauce for each Benedict is a little bit different to match that Benedict and it is sooooo good. As is the hashbrown patty that perplexed me at first, but after one bite gave me no second thoughts. Also, this restaurant solves your dilemmas of decision by offering you options like pancake flights and Benedict splits that lets you choose different types of your favorite foods so you don't have to make an impossible decision and miss out. Plus, it's fairly inexpensive since four of us ate here and racked up $60.

Good breakfast.

By Greg D |

Came for breakfast and was pleasantly pleased. The service and food was good. If your not from Houston or maybe Texas. You can’t get a Bloody Mary or a drink until 10 am. I had breakfast tacos with chorizo and they were very good.

Sunday breakfast

By HandDoc14 |

Interesting atmosphere, spacious. We arrived around 7 am, almost empty. But more importantly, the parking lot was empty. It's a terrible parking lot, with small spaces. Above average service. Eggs Benedict was good. Omelette with chorizo also good, but I found a large chunk of gristle in my chorizo. Breakfast burrito was huge, but most of that was black beans - too many black beans. The hash browns were soft, not crispy and had a funny taste, Adequate for the price.

Great Mornings at Snooze—

By debg77007 |

I love Snooze and am always amazed at the crowds, especially on the weekends. But if you’ve got a flexible work schedule it’s easier to slip in on a weekday morning without much of a wait. The menu selection is hearty and if you’re not going to work, they even have a full bar. I haven’t been disappointed with the food, when i’ve managed to snag a table! The WiFi is great for work or school. And the coffee is hot and plentiful.

Interesting breakfast place with unique menu

By mrmachine |

We visited my son and his wife in Houston last week. One day, we had breakfast at Snooze. This restaurant offers very different pancake recipes along with the typical breakfast fare of eggs and meat. They have a special pancake of the day. We ordered one of them for the table and had some egg plates and French toast. The first French toast plate was too soft and gooey. The waiter had it remade in a jiffy. The place is busy so arriving early saves from a long wait. While waiting outside, free coffee is available. Nice touch. We enjoyed it and will be happy to return another day.

Awesome

By BFF1985 |

Some of the best pancakes that I have ever had. Great location. Everything is great. I cant wait to go back

underwhelming! so many good reviews!

By TimTran |

i know - it's breakfast food, so don't expect much. but the coffee tasted like water! seriously! my avocado toast was good, but the eggs were undercooked (like watery whites), and the french toast was also undercooked. it was all edible, so i won't say it was gross, but it was certainly not as amazing as we were expecting.

PERFECT HANGOVER CURE

By fatfoodie2018 |

Large breakfast selection, very hearty food and a good atmosphere. Our server (Shakal) was great, nothing we asked was too much and he was very friendly. Id advise that you book though as we had to wait 45 mins for a table, but overall that is the sign of a a good place. I highly recommend

Incredible Breakfast

By OHZ W |

Went here with my wife, daughter and her partner. We got an INCREDIBLE BREAKFAST!!! Well worth the 1 hour wait, I'd wait again for an hour in a heartbeat. We got, upside down pineapple pancakes, sausage links, homefries, blueberry/lemon/cream cheese pancakes. A side of rosemary sausage gravy, WOW, it was YUM. I love this place very much. OUTSTANDING.

Good brunch place

By Sameh S |

Nice brunch place The meal was delicious I added mushroom which made it more flavoring It comes with hash brown , but I wished it was crispy

Amazing Pancakes

By ChrissyTLin |

Really good food. I always get their Pancake Flight which lets you pick up to three different smaller flavored pancakes. You have to have their Pineapple Upside-Down pancakes! They are heavenly. Unfortunately, you have to add meats a-la carte, but they are delicious as well.

I felt cheated.

By CulturedJ |

Where do I start? Usually I’m a firm believer that most people place low reviews on establishments, because they feel entitled or want special treatment. Me? I just want good food & good service for my money. After checking online reviews, I’ve seen mixed! Good and bad. Still, figured I’d give them a try. Somewhere I read, “Get there early before the crowd”...I did! Arrived 2hrs before opening, first one in the door. Kayla, my server greeted me with a very basic greeting, but As other customer arrived? Her greeting to them was award winning🏆.....Whatever, I looked beyond that. I could see in online photos that, food was pictured differently. I asked Kayla to please have them serve all fixings on the side. What did she bring ? You guessed it! Fixings on top! Instead of instructing the kitchen to do so, she brought it out to me with a very non sincere apology. Oh! I had to ask for powdered sugar for my French Toast, and I had to ask for butter. It was every bit of 10mins before she returned with my butter. At this point food is cold and my appetite was gone. I had not taken one bite of my food. I asked for To-Go containers and left. Will I visit Snooze again? Maybe, but not this location. Kayla, please go back and redo your orientation, focus on the “All Customers are to be treated equally” training and not who you’ve deemed may tip better. Please feel free to look at my other online reviews, you see I have no people leaving great reviews as well. I’ve reviewed place from New York, Dubai, Thailand and more. I actually saddens my to leave bad reviews as it has an impact on Coworkers, Business Owners, etc. Sign, One Pissed Off Customer.

Time for pancakes.... Not lol

By AUSAGUY007 |

Don't think this place is that great for waiting so long.. They seem disorganized and slow... The bartender was nice but it seem like they just don't care.... I think I would rather go to LA pepe they have better quality.

Best breakfast ever

By Barbara L |

Enjoyed the great obience relaxing waiters in pj’s so cute. Food was so delicious. Enjoyed the French taste with marzipan out of this world yummy.

Yummy pancakes, yummy everything

By Poodle2014 |

Have tried this restaurant several times and will keep going back until I work my way through their whole menu. They have delicious savory egg dish choices as well as sweet french toast & pancake options. I love to go with a friend and split an eggs Benedict option & then get a fancy pancake and split for "dessert". We love the Benedict with pulled pork & green chile hollandaise and the peanut butter pancake best. The gingerbread French toast is also amazing. Have also tried the pineapple upside down pancake and it is good too. They have a small parking lot but there is street parking available too. On weekends there can be long lines, so we try and go during the week and usually have a short wait or sometimes no wait. This is my favorite breakfast spot in Houston.

Pancake Flight Gives Me Life

By fletchco |

I first tried Snooze in Denver and made a point to stop in there every time I visited. I am THRILLED that they have decided to open a location (and hopefully more to come!) in Houston! The wait is long, the parking is a disaster, but the food is worth it. You must get a pancake or eggs Benedict flight -- and the brunch cocktails are some of the best I've had. Don't miss the Mayan Mocha!

What a Breakfast!

By Ansel C |

One of our favorite couples were in Houston for treatment at MD Anderson. We met for breakfast before his treatment at Snooze an AM Eatery on Montrose. The menu offerings are varied and extensive. I can recommend the Chili Verde Benedict which was fantastic and also means that I won't need to eat again today. The entire menu is interesting and eclectic.

Oh...YUM

By Bill C |

The wait was a little long, but it was well worth it! The staff is amazing, so sweet and customer focused! Susie the hostess was terrific, we initially said we would sit inside outside , however the weather deteriorated and she was so accommodating! We got the next table available inside:) our waitress Joselin spent time listening to us and we have never been here before! She helped us make Awesome choices (excellent staff to day the least!!) I ordered the Breakfast pot pie! Loved it, the gravy was seasoned very well! The wife ordered Avocado Smash Benny! She couldn’t finish it! She wanted too, but was filled up. Oh, best hash browns I’ve ever had! What a flavor! We will be back!

Consistently solid performance

went there twice last visit to Houston. Food is consistently good, service polite and helpful. Recommend it highly.

Supreme

You have to wait but it’s worth it. Courteous service and supreme food quality. They even have the app to download and get in the line and even order.

My birthday breakfast

By d_seekingtravel |

My business associates wanted to treat me to a great birthday breakfast and boy was it a great decision! The food was insanely good and the service just as good! I will make this my new go to spot for breakfast.

Snooze is an appropriate name!

By Bradley R |

read all the reviews about the place being "worth" long waits, "worth" the bad parking, and "worth" total lack of wait space. No, no it is not. After no parking being available nearby, I parked in a spot I worried about being towed or booted, walked in the cold rain for a block or so, and then was "sardined" into a very tiny waiting area. I stood uncomfortably for 48 minutes after being told by the hostess (who was constantly snacking), that the wait should be around 25-30 minutes. The menu is hardly remarkable, but we were hoping the basic food listed on the menu might be incredible (according to reviews). We ordered IMMEDIATELY, as soon as the waitress took our drink orders - and we waited - and waited - and waited - and after another 45 minute wait, we had to go. We asked our flighty waitress about our food several times and were told each time that it was "coming". We went with a 2 hour window because we read about the 1.5 hour and 2 hour waits on reviews - but I was told it would be just 25-30 minutes, and the place does not seem that busy. Then we observed the slow/uncaring staff mulling through the day, witnessed the unfriendly and unmotivated hostess - then got a quirky and forgetful waitress - then, who knows who is in the kitchen. It's pretty obvious this "team" just DOESN'T CARE. As long as the owner and manager allow this to continue - and, it's pretty clear they do not care - I can tell you with 100% certainty this customer definitely does not care to EVER eat here again. I never got my food, so I can't rate the eats - I just refuse to sit in a restaurant from breakfast time to lunch time and NOT be served. This place if absolutely ridiculous! SNOOZE could NOT be more appropriately named!

Good food / crowded & noisy restaurant

By Blmhouston |

The restaurant was very crowded on a late Sunday morning. 45-60 minute wait time was provided and was accurate for a table for 3. The key here is to get a table away from the front door as people waiting for a table congregate around the front tables. I personally don't enjoy having hungry table-seekers hovering around inches from my table. There is no waiting space so if it's raining you are in your car or standing without cover outside. Fortunately text is used to alert you when your table is ready so waiting in the car is viable. The service was ok. Frittata was amazing and preferable over the omelette which was good but not as well seasoned and flavorful as the frittata. The pancakes were wonderful and were served with real Vermont maple syrup. The fruit was fresh and flavorful. I would return.

Good brunch spot

By PamC54 |

We knew there would be a wait for a Sunday morning brunch and we did wait for about 30 minutes. The parking is a bit limited. We all enjoyed lots of coffee refills and a variety of dishes including Eggs Benedict, Omelettes and French Toast. The place seems a bit crowded with tables very near each other.

Wow! Great service from bartender Dane.

By Clo Jo |

My hubby and I got breakfast after staying the night downtown for the rodeo. We sat at the bar. Dane was awesome. He did such a great job juggling the bar, well and bar guests. Food was amazing. The smashed avocado Benedict was life changing. :) Orange Snoozius was so good I got 2. Lol. Several servers talked to us and were very friendly. They even gave us recommendations of fun stuff to do today around town. We will definitely be back.

Not your typical breakfast place!

By Nancy C |

Six of us went here for Sunday breakfast. The choices were a bit overwhelming and as it turned out everyone was satisfied. Fresh coffee, Wonderful pancakes and creative egg dishes. Try the 3 pancake or egg assortment if you can't decide... you won't leave hungry!

Yummy Food!

By Sightsee759411 |

A brand new Snooze opened up in La Centerra in Katy, so we decided to try it. I knew when I saw the long like I knew it is good. It truly was, great service and the food was delicious.

Amazing vegetarian options!!

By Manleys1995 |

Absolute loved our breakfast. Coffee was delicious, hot and refilled quickly. The blueberry pancakes were perfectly topped with fresh fruit/vanilla sauce and not as sweet as 'dessert' but like breakfast should be! The French toast was not soggy-like some can be. Perfectly topped with fresh fruit and just a tad of powdered sugar. The breakfast burrito had tons of scrambled eggs-making it taste perfectly 'breakfast' instead of just another burrito. Wish we lived in Houston-we'd visit regularly!!! Timing is important f you don't want to wait. We arrived at 8:30 & walked right in. By the time we left-there was 1/2 hour wait....but believe me....we'd wait.

A great place to eat

By zaede |

Selection was excellent. The fact you could mix your order made it easier to taste different combinations. The food was excellent. There was a 20 minute wait to be seated, but food was served fast. The bid problem is that there is a lack of adequate parking. It was well worth the wait.

So Nice, I Went Twice

By Thaiorchidguy |

On a little 4 day trip to Houston I went to a couple places for breakfast. I went here on the third and fourth days. Had I went here sooner I might have went for all three breakfasts on the trip! It's a quirky little retro 50's theme place and their specialty is , I guess, "alternative" Eggs Benedicts and pancakes. The benedicts are not your grandma's recipe. Lots of different toppings and sauces to accompany perfectly poached eggs and velvety hollandaise. The pancakes have all manner of filling, nuts, fruits, syrups, butters, and creams. I had the Bella Bella (I think it was called) Thin slices of prosciutto, Taleggio cheese, and perfectly poached eggs on toasted ciabatta, topped with cream cheese hollandaise, balsamic glaze and arugula. It was so good... like I said I had to come back for another the next day. The first day we came at a non peak hour so the wait was minimal but the second day we did have to wait quite a while, so keep that in mind. It is a small western chain but it's unique enough that it definitely earns its merits. Don't miss out! I forgot to snap some pics... doh!

Worth the trip

By Kelly M |

We took trip to Houston and needed to find a place for breakfast when we landed. This place was awesome. The atmosphere was warm and inviting! We picked this place for the flight of pancakes they offered. While waiting for our table we started up a conversation with the hostess. She told us of a special pancake that was not on the menu. It sounded great and I was already to add that to my order when one was surprisingly sent to our table. The hostess surprised us with one!!! If you are in the area, check this place out. It was fabulous!!!

Great Breakfast

By Ed F |

Took the Family 7 of us. 20 minute wait not bad for 10 am on a Saturday morning. Food was really good. I had the Huevos Rancheros great, add the chorizo. The pot pie was really good.

Great for Pancake Lovers

By traveljuggernaut |

Fresh, clean breakfast joint with an unusual fascination for pancakes. Large list of pancakes and a "flavor of the day". Fresh, clean breakfast joint with good food. Nothing too unusual or adventurous, which is good. Get there before 7:30AM on Saturday if you want to avoid a big line

Really creative breakfast choices

By Robert S |

We go to the Galleria location. I am most impressed with the variety of menu options - the shrimp and grits, the bennys, the pancake flight, the sweet potato hash - all very tasty. They put out a quality product, and the staff is very good. Great breakfast place!

Brunch...not so much

By Candace T |

I truly hate to be the naysayer in the bunch, however my Snooze experience wasn't all that great. The food was good and so were the cocktails, but the wait times, the crowded racouous atmosphere and the inconsistent sometimes non existent waitstaff would make me choose another restaurant every time. In Houston, and for me personally Brunch is an experience. It's the time in your busy week to catch up with girls, drink, and dine on the best fares breakfast and lunch have to offer. Go once for the experience, then choose a spot where you can really relax and enjoy. Insiders tip: stay far away on Sunday during brunch hours where wait time soar to over an hour, instead go during the week, and experience the laid back atmosphere as is was meant to be.

Brilliant brunch cafe

By TigerBob |

This is an excellent cafe offering a brilliant choice for breakfast or brunch. The food is absolutely delicious and well presented. The service and attention is excellent and cannot be faulted. As an avid foodie from Australia, I can highly recommend this great restaurant with seating inside and outside.

Fantastic!!!!

By Connie M |

Went with family for daughter's birthday brunch since we had been wanting to try. It did not disappoint one bit. I got the American Eggs Benedict - wow, delish! We got the French Toast as an app for us all to split, again fantastic. We arrived around 10:45 on a Sunday morning and had to wait approximately one hour 20 minutes. They suggest stop by, put name on list and come back since they do not take reservations. Definitely worth the wait.

Don’t snooze on snooze!

By Aneka V |

Snooze has the best customer service! Everyone, from the hosts to the servers, were very welcoming. The juices were fresh , not overly processed. I ordered the pineapple upside down pancakes and it was amazing! Very light and fluffy with perfect flavoring. I will definitely be back to try other menu offerings!

Breakfast 2 days in a row!

By Pam L |

All greatest here! Friendly, attentive, & went the extra mile(a specialty blueberry & lemon stuffed, almond crumble pancake given as compliments from the server on the second day we ate there). Great vibe inside ... The professional & college scene fun to witness. Lots of customers in scrubs & with laptops. Fun decor inside. Nice outside seating as well. Love coffee while you wait option. Oh ... And fun t-shirts too!! Hope a Snooze makes it north. Come to New England... PLEASE!

Unique and delicious!

By Jennifer M |

This quaint restaurant offers an awesome selection of breakfast items and has an open bar with unique offerings like a bacon and egg whiskey drink. I had the burrito with soyrizo which had amazing flavor and can be customized. The hash browns are thick but crispy. The s’mores pancake is worth a trip alone as well as the blueberry pancakes. They offer mini pancakes if you just want to add one to your meal which is great. Server was nice and the food came quick even though they were busy. Highly recommend!

Excellent Food and Service

By Jack M |

I ate here on a stop through Houston a few months back. An all around excellent breakfast! When a place does the staples well, you can nearly always bank on their specialties. I had two eggs scrm w/bacon, homefries, and toast. Their coffee was good too, and the grapefruit juice was so scrumptious I ordered a second. Great service also. If you find yourself Houston, do yourself a solid and enjoy breakfast here.

As good as ever

Love this place! The eggs Benedict are cooked perfectly. Our waiter Miles was super nice and sensitive to our schedule issues making sure everything came out of the kitchen nice and quickly. It was refreshing not have to wait for a table like we have always had to at the Denver locations.

One of the best breakfast places in Houston!

By Derek G |

Snooze is a relatively new addition to the Montrose area and definitely one of the top breakfast spots inside the loop! The overall facility is very welcome, with the staff really making you feel welcome immediately. There are some limited outside seats, a counter inside for those dining solo and a large number of tables. The menu has really good choices with at least one able to meet the desire of even the most finicky eaters - the vegetarian options allow those who do not eat meat or observe halal to have a fabulous breakfast too. My personal favorite is their Eggs Benedict III which is one of the very best eggs benedict I have ever had - and they are absolutely consistent with them complete with a hollandaise sauce that is just heavenly. The hash browns are also tasty and they can make them crispy if you ask! Another good option is the pancakes, but be forewarned that some recipes sound incredibly weird - but are utterly divine! The staff sample the daily special and if it is good their recommendation is honest! The coffee is fabulous, people friendly, and there is also a choice of more adult beverages for those in need or dining later - their drink specialty is the Bloody Mary. I would highly recommend this eating locating but be forewarned that parking is a challenge in the area and on weekends the wait can approach two hours for a seat - they are both popular and excellent. Weekdays are usually more accessible and relaxed and weekends this place is among the most popular breakfast places in Houston.

Great Different Breakfast Opportunity

By zepper50 |

The menu is as different and unique as the wait staff and customers. Free parking on street and small lot. Indoor and outdoor eating. An unusual and delightful menu unique in many ways. Servings generous and delivered quickly. Coffee very good. Pretty large yet so popular that a wait may be necessary.

Terrible Rude Service!

By CrissyW2011 |

My husband brought me here last week for my birthday and we had a pleasant experience. We returned today for his birthday. Big mistake. After waiting over 30 minutes for a table, my husband went in to check on the status of our table. The hostess (African American woman, 5’5", heavy build, short blond hair) admitted that they skipped us on accident, but she told my husband that it was his fault for not giving his cell number. Mind you, the other hostess said they would come out and call us and it wasn’t a problem. I was blown away by the rudeness of the hostess. She actually smirked when I explained that it’s okay to make mistakes, but blaming my husband on his birthday was a bit much. The manager came over and apologized and said we’d be seated next. After waiting for another few minutes as the rude hostess giggled and made snarky comments under her breath, we left. I will never return and I’d certainly never recommend this establishment to anyone else. My background is management in the hospitality industry. Friendly is free. Thanks for ruining my husband’s birthday breakfast, Snooze. :(

Awesome food - awesome service!

Snooze – Alarmingly good (get it, Snooze Alarm?)

By Houston_Eriol |

A bunch of my co-workers and I went to the new Snooze Am on Bay Area after a long night of work. We had heard good things but I honestly expected them to be overblown. It was great. We all started with one of the many, unique cocktails/beers. I had the bacon and eggs – a play on an old fashioned with bacon infused bourbon and an actual bacon strip. Pancakes seem to be there thing so I did the pancake flight where you can pick 3 of any of their options. I did the Pineapple Upside down one (awesome!), the sweet potato (good) and just to be totally bad, the chocolate peanut butter one – OMG. Everyone’s food was excellent, even the person who wanted gluten free (almost everything on the menu can be made GF). Although crowded service was good though things take a while – this is not a fast food joint. Which was fine for us to sit out on the patio and enjoy our drinks. I rarely go out to breakfast because of the splurge on fat and calories is usually disappointing – but not here! I will be going back regularly, if only for the cocktails!

Worth the Wait!

It's worth the wait to eat at Snooze - it often has a line outside to get in but the breakfast is amazing! A great place to have in the neighbourhood!

No Clues - OMGs, Ratings & a Cool Place? We didn't get it

By JKK031017 |

Four of us were there December 1 by 11:15, wait time was 45 minutes. Three ordered Benny Duo and one Shrimp & Grits. My domestic partner and I are local, we thought food was just OK, better values elsewhere. My LA guests said good, then did not comment much. In hind sights, so many items on the menu would be a tip off, since it is a challenge to do well so many items day in and day out. The place was packed, so I guess it must be an off day. In dining establishments, food must be good and must be above average, otherwise it does not serve me any purpose, Just OK food does not cut it.

Wanted to Like it-Never Again

By SKKTexas |

Our first visit in Austin was great, despite the 1 hour wait, so I was excited to to try the Houston location. The first trip was plagued by slow service, but decided to try again after a few months. The service was even worse. Again, very slow with no updates from the wait staff. The pancakes ordered came out cold, and upon asking the waitress, she unenthusiastically asked if I wanted to send it back. I sent the order back, and it came out with the blueberry compote on the side (I did not ask for it on the side). I had to ask for more compote, as the small side would not cover even half the order. Upon receiving my bill, they charged .75 for the extra compote. Ridiculous, the money is insignificant but this diner will take her money elsewhere.

Yummy Spot

Really enjoyed finally visiting one of these locations. Had really healthy and green options. Did have to Uber to get to this location.

One of my fave brunches in the city

By ShopWithVal |

I've eaten at Snooze twice recently and had an awesome experience both times. The menu has everything you could want for breakfast/brunch along with delicious cocktails. The service was impeccable and the prices are very affordable. The only downside is that they don't take reservations and parking can be a hassle. It's quickly become a go-to of my mine and I look forward to going back again soon. FYI: The Benny Duo w/hash browns are unreal! :-)

Amazing

By PennieG |

We initially were supposed to eat at Breakfast Klub, but the line was so line we ended up coming to Snooze. The host said that it would be a 10-1 5 minute wait. We were actually seated appx 5 minutes later. The waitress was awesome, informative, and up-beat. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was different, cool, laid-back, and surprisingly relaxing.

Amazing!

By Samantha P |

I was visiting Houston for a week and my friends wanted to bring me here. Unfortunately, we couldn't come for brunch on the Saturday they had planned as the restaurant doesn't take reservations and there can apparently be an up to 2hour wait. However, we got a chance to go on a Tuesday morning. It was about 11am when we arrived and it was still pretty busy. The carpark is small so I can understand that it gets difficult on a weekend to find parking but all of those issues were so worth it. I ordered the Snooze Spuds Deluxe with chorizo and ham, and my friend who I was with had the Benny Duo which allowed her to pick two different types of eggs benedict (I've heard that's what Snooze is famous for). We also opted to share 1 pancake between us as it seemed wrong not to. We chose the cinnamon roll pancake. The food was unbelievable. Literally there wasn't a thing we had that wasn't amazing. The pancake was super fluffy and the sauce was addictive. However, the portions were pretty big and we ended up wishing we had just shared something as we couldn't finish it. If you get the chance to go though definitely make the effort

Looonggg Wait and Not Great 😔

By Jaime P |

Food was just okay. Waffle House or Cracker Barrel would have been better. Will NOT go back! Don't waste your time.

Sure, you have to wait, but the food is good!

By dramady |

We had to wait around 20 minutes at 9:30 on a Friday, but that wasn't too bad, we figured. And everything we had was good! The savory pancake of the day, the eggs Benedict, and hubby said the corned beef hash was the best he's had. He also liked the dirty drunken Chai. I wish there weren't a wait, but service was great and food was good. What more can someone want?

Service just okay

By Brandi B |

Need a little more hustle here at this restaurant, but the food was good. I always appreciate gluten free choices (bread, pancakes) and fresh fruit. Have eaten at snooze in Denver and the menu is sure to please any. Just hard to get in and out quickly at this houston one, lots of open tables but too slow of a pace.

Great coffee and food!!

By terry c |

Very popular place!! Only negative is lack of parking. Sat at the bar had one of there house Guatamalen coffee's and it was awesome. Ordered the corned beef and hash and it was delicious. The young lady behind the bar was pleasant and quick. The restroom was clean and so was the restaurant. I noticed the other plates on customers tables and it looked awesome. I will be back and give this place one of my highest recommendations!!

Worth the wait

By Melanie K |

If you love breakfast this is definitely the place to go!!! Everything on the menu is delicious. the downside is they don't take reservations and the average wait time is 45 minutes. We had a party of 8 on a Saturday at noon and had to wait hour and half. They do provide free coffee and water while you wait but the waiting area is very small. Plenty of room outside but on a hot Houston day it can get uncomfortable. Full bar is also nice. The Grapefruit Mimosa is hands on the best one I have ever had!

Mother daughter brunch

By Gantpa |

We stopped in to have a late breakfast. I dined at the Austin location last week with my older daughter and it was amazing as well. This visit my daughter ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup, she said it was delicious!! I ordered the two half orders of Benedict. The Ham one and the Salmon one.. they were both incredible! Will definitely be back!!

Benedicts A+

By Janet A |

I rate this a four because the wait was about and hour and a half and the chocolate molten pancake was waaaay too sweet, other than that the food was excellent, I ordered the Benedict plate and was so good! staff was super friendly, we were a family of 5 and bill was close to $70, so its a bit pricey.

Breakfast or Brunch!

By Ena D |

Amazing food and service! Cinnamon and white chocolate pancakes with hash browns, egg omelette, and fresh fruit!

Delicious

By Shirm67 |

First time to visit Snooze, I choose an omelette which was delicious, ingredients were fresh and served nice and hot. Will definitely go back next time I’m in Houston.

Loved the unique menu

By buffalove631 |

I love Snooze's menu, and especially for the fact that you can order flight versions of almost everything. We had the pancake flight and it was so nice not to have to choose just one flavor to try! We also had the breakfast pot pie which an extremely delicious and unique spin off of biscuits and gravy.

Best Breakfast in Houston!

By Cynthia M |

Ok, so this place is as good as Norma's in New York at a third of the price!! Came here on a Friday and the wait was 30 minutes Until we were seated but it was totally worth it!!! We got a flight of pancakes blueberry, sweet potatoes and the OMG French toast and they were all mind blowing delicious!! Service was excellent though slightly slow but our waiter Jordan was just as excellent as the food!!! We didn't mind that it took a while to get the food cuz we enjoyed the atmosphere. Huevos Ranchero were fantastic! Egg white frittata was super flavorful and delicious which isn't easy to do with egg whites. Sam I am sandwich was also excellent!! Everyone loved it!!!

The best breakfast place ever!

By Marina_Matveeva |

Had an amazing experience - everything from scrumptious food, to friendly staff, originality and atmosphere - everything was perfect!!!! They even let you order half of one style eggs Benedict and half of the other - I tried the one with salmon and one with beef - to die for! Get at least a half order of OMG French toast - it's heavenly, melts in your mouth!

Very good

By Amber S |

The food was amazing. But because it was busy week had to wait about 45 minutes but it was totally worth the wait.

Breakfast Heaven

By ian |

WARNING you cannot book here and it is always busy with queues but it is well worth the wait. A terrific place for breakfast evidenced by the fact it is always busy. Five of us dined for US$70 which is very reasonable considering we were absolutely full when we left. Service was excellent.

Inefficient

By carol r |

This restaurant has great potential they have great food however what they don't have is a good manager to oversee the daily needs of a restaurant . At least if they have one it's certainly not a apparent. Some of the waiters / waitresses need to clean up their general appearance! One young man this morning looked like he was in a coma , just general sloppiness taking no pride in what they are doing . I have been here now an number of times the food on the whole is great today luke warm at best. It's tragic because they obviously have a great chef !!now if they could just get it together I would give it five stars

Realllyyyy slloooowwwww.

By Roger P |

We arrived there at 8:50AM, were seated around 9:35AM and didn't get our food until at least 10:15AM. The last time we went we carped about how slow it was and it looks like it hasn't gotten better in over 18 months! The irony was they had tables and weren't really that crowded. I would not go back. There was free coffee for those waiting.

Another fantastic US breakfast...and the right size portion too!

By divster27 |

Big queues to get a table (20 / 30 minute for a table for 1), so i sat at the bar. Didn't realise this was a thing, but it appears to be everywhere if you're eating alone. Lots of choice, standards and locals. I went for the corned beef hash, with two fried eggs and toast. - $11, i think. Every meal I've had out on this trip has been at least 30% too big - this was just right. Coffee wasn't *great*, but was ok. $3 Friendly staff - thank you Roo Roo

Excellent food and atmosphere

We ate here recently, food and service was great. It was very busy, but the staff were working hard and were very polite and professional. I had the Eggs Benny Benny Ya, delicious. Portions were plentiful. Great décor. Worth the wait!

Long wait but friendly staff

By Laurensssss |

We waited 45 minutes for our table. We actually drove to another restaurant had coffee and returned just in time for our table. They have made an effort to make wait time bearable with corn hole game and a few other things. The food was good and was fresh. Our waitress was very friendly.

Must visit

Wonderful. This is a must visit. When I tell you, Snooze will be a visit on every visit to Houston. Don't miss out. Staff all wonderful

Look Place for breakfast..

By Sandra B |

First time here. Great place for breakfast. Unique menu. Lots of varieties of pancakes. Kids had pancakes, we had steak and eggs benedict. Me I stuck with eggs and bacon. Coffee was great and fresh. And outdoor seating too. Parking is a little tricky.....And of course clean restrooms..... Oh and they change there menu with the seasons!!!!!

Sunday breakfast

Love this retro feel restaurant. The service is wonderful, food is great, atmosphere is good. Just get there as early as possible for it gets busy. Worth the wait. Give them try.

Different, unique and delicous

By Zpac |

Went here after landing in Houston and didn't know what to expect... There was a short wait but the crowd was friendly... I really enjoyed going through the menu to pick my meal, a lot of unique options... we got Chile Verde Benny and some amazing French Toast... both were wonderful and very good coffee to top it off...

Do you love Breakfast? You will love Snooze!

Nice place, good location and a dream class menu. Coffee and juice perfect and I had the Huevos Rancheros but there’re selections for every one.

Cool Place, Good Breakfast

By DavisLoveIII |

This is a cool place to eat breakfast. I had the the Benny Duo and my bride had the Pancake Flight. Great stuff. Pretty busy early to mid morning. The wait wasn't crazy long. Good service also!

Amazing service, delicious food

By Houstonalle4food |

My friends in Denver raved about this place and it was packed from Day One. I'm always skeptical about anything with that much hype, but this time the hype was right. They are open from 6:30am - 2:30pm, so a friend and I stopped by for lunch to celebrate both our birthdays. There are no reservations so you arrive, put your name on the list and wait. They will text you when your table is ready so you can roam around outside. We were told 10-15 min. and that was accurate. As we were seated, the hostess noticed our gift bags and asked if it was an occasion. We told her it was for our birthdays. After our server had taken our beverage order, a pancake of the day was delivered to us gratis for our special day—and what a pancake! It was the Roger Rabbit. Probably the most delicious pancake I have every had, topped with a spicy, banana topping that was custardy and delicious as a Cremé Anglais! The menu is full of so many amazing things it is hard to narrow down your choices. We both opted for the hash browns (described in the menu as: Snooze Spuds Deluxe A heaping portion of our hash browns, covered with melted cheddar & jack cheese, scallions plus choice of two fillings and two cage free eggs anyway you want them). We loved the "have it your way" options. We both chose the green chili sauce and I added soyriso; my friend had the bacon extra crispy. We both asked for our hash browns extra crispy. I opted for my eggs scrambled; she chose over easy. Everything came promptly and exactly as ordered. All the servers and staff who came by the table were friendly, well-informed, well-trained and acted happy in their work, which is always the mark of a well-run establishment. Parking is minimal in the lot. I believe they have a valet, but we parked a couple blocks down the side street. This place a clean, casual mid-century vibe. They serve adult beverages, so good for brunch. I would go back again in a heartbeat!

Average coffee

By Jessica McDougall |

So... if you want a large breakfast then this is the place for you. But when we’re talking quality I’m not sold. If your a lover of good coffee. Don’t even think about ordering a cappuccino or latte. The attempt to be quirky just ruins it completely. If you desperately need to curb your coffee craving just get a black coffee. Big isn’t always better, the food I found was either over flavoured confusing your tastebuds or overwhelming them, or it lacked season and flavour all together. Don’t get me wrong, the food filled me up and satisfied my hunger, just not my love for coffee or food!
