Great place for breakast

By David W |

Awesome food. Awesome vibe. Awesome service. R. B. was our bartender/waiter and she is the ultimate in coolness. I recommend you ask for her when you eat at the bar (which we often do when there's a long wait). Oh yeah, the mimosas are awesome as well. Enjoy!

Smelly

By Pilot-Mike558 |

Wife and I walked in and right back out. Smelled terrible like rotten eggs and strong cleaning solution. Not sure how the food was but could not stand it. Went to Max's wine dive instead. Good call.

If you understand cool. This is the place

By Buc-ee |

From the menu to the music and the paper straws, this place oozes cool. If you want great food and service in an atmosphere where you can rejoice in an environment that promotes inclusion and sustainability while maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere this is the place. My wife loved the pancakes. I thought the hash browns were outstanding. Expect a bit of a wait. It is that popular.

Worth the Wait.

By Pamela J |

We went to meet with friends on Sunday for brunch. I had read reviews that the wait can be as long as two hours so we went early to check in and get our place in line. We were told the wait would be 1 hour 20 minutes. Not a biggie so we went to get some coffee and visit with our friends. A text would come across my phone when my place was close in line and that I needed to head back to the restaurant. We were in the same shopping area so it was a quick walk back to the restaurant. We had just a little more of a wait so we went to the bar for a bloody marry (recommend the spicy one) and michelada. Both were great and we were in no rush and just took in the scene. It's a fun vibe and noisy so not a good place for someone who does not like a loud environment. Our waiter was friendly, attentive and helpful with the menu. In our group of 7 we had corned beef hash, Snooze spuds deluxe, 1/2 winter harvest benny, 1/2 bella bella benny (you can go half on two eggs benny), omg french toast, blueberry danish pancakes, pineapple upside down pancakes and Juan's breakfast tacos. We really did sample the menu! EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!! We also added a side of bacon and a side of scrambled eggs. The prices were very reasonable and the portions were huge! Lots of sharing and tasting. We'll go back and either be prepared to wait a long time or go at a less busy time.

Pretty average, especially given the price

By SK K |

We all ordered very different items, and found nothing that was bad, but no food item just knocked our socks off. Shrimp and grits underwhelming. Benedict duo saw the standard one done well but the one with avacadoes not. Omelette was good, but only allowing three add-ins (meat, cheese, vegetables) and then charging 75 cents per added vegetable seemed a bit much. Hash browns shaped like a hockey puck and not much taste. Pancake special was the best of the lot. We did have excellent service on a busy Saturday, but not sure we would return for the food.

Wonderful '60s (but modern) diner feel, with wonderful tasting and creative food and drinks

By JohnsonIV |

Snooze has a wonderful '60s (but modern) diner feel, and serves wonderful tasting and creative food and drinks...but especially the food! The pancakes are outstanding and full of flavor; for the most part, they somehow balance very sweet concepts without being too sweet to eat -- although the blueberry danish pancakes had my teeth rattling a little. The standouts for me were the pineapple upside down pancakes and the cannoli pancakes. (For the former, I would've liked even more pineapple, but what's there is just enough for bursts of flavor that might be appreciated even by people who weren't pineapple fans; and the latter sounded like there was no way they wouldn't be too sweet, but they struck an excellent balance between sweetness and flavor, as well as the crunch from the cannoli shell itself.) The plentiful staff members are friendly, warm, patient, and helpful; they are definitely part of the joy of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is a bright place from high ceilings, big windows, and a glass garage door that can be opened to the outdoor porch eating area in nice weather. Seating is on old-school-ish vinyl couches and plastic chairs -- all comfortable -- and as mentioned, the good-sized dining room is complemented by more seating outside. There can be a hefty wait to get in, but the time passes quickly and the food is definitely worth it. I look forward to my next visit!

Worth the wait

By THall |

Get here early to avoid the wait but either way, it’s worth the wait. Great food, great service. Sat outside on an extremely hot day, shade covers worked amazing. Definitely recommend

Fathers Day Brunch

By Kirk D |

We ate here for Father's Day. The wait was around an hour, but we expected a wait and they text you when your table is nearly ready so you can shop the near by stores. Dooney was an awesome server. Lots of charm and very helpful. I had the cornbeef hash with eggs over medium, the hash was very good, the eggs were not medium. I substituted the Blueberry Danish pancake for the toast and was not disappointed. All three of us were satisfied. The portions were not huge, but adequate. The service was good and very friendly. The prices are reasonable.

Delicious!

By hansenamy1023 |

My family ate here after it was recommended by a waiter from a different restaurant. Food was amazing! Juice was delicious! I had a pancake flight that was out of this world. Check it out if you get a chance.

I don't understand why it's so popular

By Ellen L |

This was my second visit. It always seems to be busy. At first I thought it was just the appeal of a new restaurant but it's still popular. They serve mostly breakfast items with a few sandwiches. There are some interesting combinations but I find the food to just be average and certainly not worth a wait of 30 minutes to an hour. But perhaps it just.isnt the place for me.

Family brunch

By Gary M |

Service was very slow, but the food was worth the wait. I had the breakfast burrito and it was very good and almost enough for two meals.

Great breakfast!

By julzi91 |

Went to this place based on other reviews and was not disappointed. Staff were lovely, and I especially liked that there was a giant jenga outside to play whilst waiting for a table! Atmosphere was nice and food was great! I love that there was a half half option for people like me that can't decide which breakfast they want - I had a Benny duo which us 2 different eggs Benedict. Definitely recommend for a good feed.

Brunch

By Vasquez1299 |

Had heard about this placed with mixed reviews I was hesitant to try it out but decided to give it a chance.... we were quoted 15-20 just to be told we were under quoted for a party of 2.... yet a party of 8 gets seated before us and they arrived 10 mins later... when I asked for a manager no apology or even an attempt to correct what the employee had originally quoted... not sure if I’ll ever give this place a second chance ..... be ready to wait and be under quoted for wait time.... not a good first impression

I’m going back qgain

By :)2020 |

Hubby and I first went to this chain in Austin Texas and we loved everything about the restaurant. When I found out there were three snooze restaurants in San Antonio, I was super excited. Sort of worried that I wasn’t going to get the same food quality as I did in Austin. The San Antonio restaurant met my expectations 100%. Hubby is a very picky guy, but he was all smiles leaving the restaurant that morning. Thanks to our waiter for making it a great experience. We’ll be going back again soon.

AWFUL

By Sarah M |

AWFUL - cold and uncooked food served to us this morning. Then charged for the coffee even though we couldn’t eat the appalling food! Won’t be back.

Pancakes

By Aunttabby |

I tried the pancake flight. The blueberry lemon cream cheese had very little filling and was just ho hum, the chocolate with persimmon was not made with a distinctive chocolate that would make it a wow, but the buttermilk sweet potato pancake with candied pecans and ginger sauce was the bomb. My friend had the French toast and really liked it. Both servings were so large we both took a box home. Service is friendly and quick. The front desk is mavelously organized and that young lady deserves a medal for competence and cheerfulness. She will tell you an approximate wait time and you can get on the wait list and go shopping or even home if you are not too far away since the shortest wait time was an hour when I was there. We went and sat in the car and chatted until they called our cell phone.

Menu Mania

By flyer22016 |

If a plain breakfast is what you are looking for, this is not the place. Quite a menu of assorted pancakes available, some exotic enough to be desert, pineapple, pumpkin, banana with various toppings....enough. Looking for good old bacon and eggs, sausage and eggs, corned beef hash, assorted breads for toast, its available but the exotics have a way of toying with your mind. All the fancies come with a price, easy to be looking at a forty dollar breakfast for two and if its a brunch add the cost of a mimosa or two for two, you get the drift. Then there is the wait but thats because it really is a very good place for a bite.

Snooze delivered perfectly!

By Claudine P |

Snooze delivered perfectly! We ordered a family of 7 for the day after Christmas...it arrived 2 minutes early, hit and perfectly made! We ordered pancakes, omelettes, mash, and hot chocolate! Delicious!

Brunch with my Mom

By Harmony H |

Absolutely amazing! We sat outside in the shade. I had the “Belle Belle Benny”, slices of prosciutto, poached eggs on toasted ciabatta, topped with cream cheese hollandaise, balsamic glaze and arugula. With a hash brown cake. They also had unique hot sauces Yellowbird Hot Sauce “ which I was a virgin to and I already ordered some online *Habanero Hot Sauce*. My Mom had the “Sunburst Cakes” buttermilk lemon poppyseed batter topped with lemon anglaise, huge blackberries, citrus mascarpone and toasted almonds. Our server was Hailee (“Crazy Eyes”was the name on the check wasn’t a fan) Hailee/Hailey was super sweet, attentive, and always smiling! This will be a MUST stop when visiting San Antonio! I’ll visit the other locations if I’m near by! SUSTAINABILITY we all need to be reminded! check out their website !

Perfect Brunch

By Amyandshaun |

Very impressed with this restaurant! Everything was so good and the menu is great. So many option. My Bloody Mary was very good and spicy, they do have some milder versions as well.

Crabcake for breakfast

By Jester2525 |

We had the Panko crusted crabcake with avocado and hollandaise sauce and a poached egg. The crabcake was light and flaky, and had a good texture. That avocado was fresh. The poached egg was good. The hollandaise sauce was a good consistency. Spicy Bloody Mary was my only complaint. It was weak, not spicy. Even with a reservation, the weight is too long Overall, a solid breakfast

Great breakfast

By jadereyna9 |

First time here and experience was great. Food was really good and fresh! Staff is very sweet and nice. Atmosphere is very nice, very clean and well kept. Food did take a little long but very much worth the wait! Great for family or couples. Will be back!! Sadly i didn’t take a picture of the food we ordered because it looked so good I couldn’t wait to scarf it down!!

Brunch meal

By Bonnie U |

Will go again. Glad I checked out the menu on line because everything looked yummy. My only complaint is that the music was so loud you could not visit with the family.

Perfect for family breakfast or brunch with the girls!

By psychdoc00 |

Just had a great breakfast at Snooze! After reading about the super long wait times we went early on a Sat morning (there's no such thing as sleeping in with a 4-year-old anyway :) and sat right down. I had the Bella Benny which was ah-mazing and the chillaquilla benny, which was good but not amazing, and we shared a pancake flight with pineapple upside down, blueberry danish, and chocolate banana pancakes. Of these, the pineapple was the clear winner, although the 4-year-old's favorite was the chocolate banana. To drink I had the Dirty Drunken Chai iced... perfect mix of sweet/spicy/boozy... mmmm! Hubby had the corned beef hash and declared it awesome, and a basic bloody which this super picky Bloody Mary connoisseur declared "very good". I actually FORGOT to take pics of it all cuz we tore into it so fast! But I did manage to get a pic being photobombed by the super awesome and friendly host :). Atmosphere was great for breakfast, we sat outside and they had a foosball table and were incredibly kid friendly while having a super cool vibe (my husband said it reminded him of a Vegas breakfast place). Service was excellent, very friendly and efficient. While there were plenty of other families with little ones, there were also many other groups ranging from cool hipsters to older crowds, definitely a range of folks, attesting to the appeal of Snooze across generations! We will definitely be back, it is a rare place that is both perfect for breakfast with the little ones, and brunch with the girlfriends, and Snooze has nailed it.

Top notch food and service.

By Lanelle G |

We took friends for brunch to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary on August 9th. This was the first visit for all of us. We started with drinks and followed with various selection for brunch. Every dish was perfect. Our wait staff could not have been more friendly or attentive.

Unique breakfast dishes

By Bill C |

This is a breakfast oriented (hours 6:30am - 2:30pm) restaurant in the Quarry. Many variations of egg and pancake dishes as well as sandwiches and salads. Very busy at lunch time...my have to wait for a table. Food was excellent. Kitchen service was slow (possibly due to the crowd). Waitstaff was very friendly and courteous.

Delicious breakfast

By NW748 |

This is the 3rd time I’ve been to a Snooze and it didn’t disappoint! Everything tastes so fresh and not greasy. This is the kind of breakfast you can eat and not feel disgusting after. Their eggs Benedict’s are so good. Also tried the green juice which was good. We had a nice waitress and the restaurant is very clean. Plenty of free parking.

Busy but worth the wait

By Chris K |

Trendy atmosphere, excellent food, amazing staff ... what's not to love! Oh wait, they close at like 2:00 in the afternoon so that kind of sucks; but they are amazing none-the-less

Yummy!

By MikeB1981 |

Quite possibly the best restaurant we visited during our 2-week stay in the area, and we're sorry that we only got to go twice! The menu is the perfect mix of healthy vs indulgent breakfast and brunch dishes. There are plenty of options for people with dietary requirements, such as my daughter who has multiple food allergies. The staff were very knowledgeable and careful with her and there was obviously a well-established process for working with the kitchen to customise each dish. Not to mention the allergy information is all clearly documented online. The food itself is well presented and absolutely delicious and comes in surprisingly large portions.

Amazing pancakes and great service!

By Jennifer R |

Wow! I had tried to go to this restaurant in Houston but it was completely packed and there was a long wait so we weren't able to go. I knew there was a location in San Antonio so my sister and I decided to try it this morning and boy, was I very please that we did. It is located in the quarry in San Antonio and they take no reservations and no call aheads. I did call to see if there was a wait and the man who answered the phone said that we could walk in and get served so we drove over and sure enough, we were able to come in and sit right down. I believe this is the same chain that is in Houston but this location seems to be much bigger. It is new so it is very clean and has a very hip cool decor and was just a nice, quaint little different place to go to for breakfast. We weren't sure what to try, so my sister and I decided to share a couple of items. They seem to specialize in pancakes so we decided to give that a try. They have a pancake of the day and that seems to change on a daily basis. The day we went to pancake of the day with Smore's. We ordered the pancake flight. That is where you can try three different pancakes. We decided to try the sweet potato pancakes, the Smore's pancake, and a blueberry danish pancake. OMG.....these had to be some of the best pancakes I've ever tried. They were still moist and fluffy and not overwhelmingly big either. Even though they were all sweet they weren't sickeningly sweet and we could eat them and not feel sick to our stomach from an abundance of sugar. We then ordered sides of hashbrowns, chicken sausage and eggs. The hashbrowns were more like a round patty of potato goodness and the chicken sausage with practically like a chicken breast. It was a weird but ended up being very delicious. I didn't try the eggs but my sister said they were very good. Of course they have other items as well. My husband who is a vegan would enjoy this as they had a quinoa bowl and they also had faux meat for him to choose in the omelettes and various choices that they make. Everything seem to be handmade and made to order. It was different but delicious. The service was impeccable and our waitress was very cheerful and knew the menu. She was patient with us since we were new there and didn't bother us too much but filled our coffee and water cups as needed. The place was very clean and different. The atmosphere was very laid-back and it wasn't too loud and there is a cute little bar there where they serve different types of drinks. I don't drink coffee but my sister seemed to enjoy that as well. They make concoctions with liquor and beer and coffee and dessert drinks as well. I am so glad we opted to try this and I will definitely be back. I've already recommended it to my mother and her friends and hopefully more people will eat here but not too many so that it doesn't get too packed. Of course we went on a Wednesday morning so I'm not sure how busy this place gets on the weekend. It being a breakfast place it does close by 3 PM so don't try to go for dinner. A great new location in San Antonio for my family and I to enjoy a wonderful, delicious breakfast where everyone in my family can find something amazing to eat! Keep up the great work!

Snooze AM Eatery @ The Vineyard, San Antonio, TX”

By Kathy R |

Get there early! we got there at 9:00 and there was a 30 minute wait, But it was worth the wait! everyone loved their breakfast, I had the Pumpkin pancakes, OH SO GOOD,Hubby ordered a bloody mary and he really enjoyed it! You get more than enough food, the place decor reminded me of the Jetson's, very 60's and spacey! I would go back again!

Breakfast turned to lunch..

By Olivia R |

We were excited to try out Snooze the menu sounded delicious! We waited 45 minutes to sit down and then waited about 10 minutes before anyone came to the table. We ordered our drinks and waited about another 20 minutes to get our drinks and then put in our order and waited probably another 45 minutes to get our food. Our drink order came out wrong, we fed our son on a little tiny bowl because we never got our extra plate. My OMG French toast was good but had only 4 small pieces of strawberries on it and no coconut like the menu said. It was way smaller than I expected it to be. It was a disappointment to see such a small portion come out on something called “OMG French toast” it was a busy day and I’m sure going on a slower day would have been better but there needs to be some organizational issues addressed with the servers and cooks. Our server continually got things wrong and twice put the wrong things on the check. The kids meals on the other hand were awesome, I love that they come with fruit and potatoes... not sure why an adult meal is smaller than the kids.

Fun, hip, inviting

By qroojen |

This place is almost always busy, so I recommend trying to go during the week or early in the morning on the weekend. On weekends during mid-morning, the wait is usually an hour or more. The decor is hip and mid-century, they tout environmentally-friendly practices (straws only upon request, low-flow toilets, etc,). It generally draws a younger crowd but is not so hip that the average person would feel out of place. They offer lots of intriguing breakfast cocktails, options like sweet potato pancakes, as well as healthy options like egg-white frittatas. Everything that I've eaten has been delicious and the service was efficient and friendly. They offer to-go coffee and ice tea, which is a nice perk.

Great Southwestern Breakfas; best we had in San Antonio

By Hale F |

Arrive early if you do not want to wait. This is a popular spot in the Quarry shopping area. We enjoyed the variety of eggs benedict and burrito. The dishes were spicy and favorful. Coffee was good too. They have daily pancakes that can be ordered als a sideif you are famished. The portions are generous.

Sweet Potato Pancakes? I Think I Will!

By Nikki W |

A unique and modern twist on the traditional pancake house. Fun menu serving up everything from peanut butter pancakes with chocolate sauce, which are great for dessert too, to a pretzel breakfast sandwich. The sweet potato pancakes were fluffy and delicious (I cleaned my plate). The bacon was thick cut and tasty. The Eggs Benedict I hear are amazing. Coffee while you wait. Grapefruit juice. Limited hours because it’s, well, a breakfast place! Can get super crowded with a LONG wait, so get there before 9am and make sure your entire party is there together or they will not seat you. Definitely recommend!

Chic breakfast location

By McFerrid |

The Quarry Market area is very nice. If you are using GPS to find a restaurant, be sure to locate Basse St. or you could be driving around awhile. I ordered the omelette with black beans as a side dish and the beans were amazing. The mocha with sugar-free vanilla was also very good. It's very popular place to go for breakfast and highly recommended for a breakfast meeting. The music was a little too loud for a business discussion, however.

To Go Please!

By 99jaxie |

OMG! 2 hour wait and we got there at 10:00 a.m. Be there early if you want to try this place or have a small snack and shop while you shop at nearby stores. Food selection is good; my daughter absolutely loved her Sandwich I Am and my mom gave the tomato soup and grilled cheese 1 thumb up. The omelette was a bit dry but it could have been the ingredients I asked for. The adult drinks are a nice touch. Honestly, the food is good but not worth a two hour wait. I would order as take out and only if I am going to shop in the area.

Delicious but long waiting time!

By Karina A |

First time we tried to visit was a Sunday and the waiting was 2 hours so we cancel. Second time we visited was a Monday and waiting time was 40 minutes but they sent a text 30 minutes instead. You must try the fly trio... 3 different flavor pancakes that you get to pick from their menu!!! Delicious and unique!

Great Breakfast

By Douglas D |

Went here Easter morning on trip to San Antonio for Final 4. It was busy and there was a 30 minute wait. For good reason. Both food and coffee were excellent. I had the Breakfast Burrito with bacon. It was large and very tasty. My older daughter had a pancake with caramel and pecans. Also very good. Coffee was very good with free refills. If you have time to wait, you can’t do much better than this place!

Yum!

By MrsCritter |

Recommended as a breakfast stop on the way to the airport. Delicious! I had the corned beef hash, my husband had spud hash (or something like that) both were great. Wait was minimal but I be were told it could be hours on the weekend.

Like Roadside Diner Coffee

By esstrojenny |

The food here is truly fabulous, but sadly, the coffee lacks both body and flavor. It's just a weak, watery disappointment. I would definitely recommend you visit, but be sure to BYOC (bring your own coffee).

Eggs Benedict

By patp2185 |

This spot was recommended by grandsons MTI and was spot on. Wait was about 45 minutes but worth it. Eggs Benedict was perfect. Hollandaise sauce was just right. I usually try it wherever I travel. Other choices were great according to family. Service was treat particularly our server, Ruth.

Excellent food and variety

By Ashank63 |

Awesome food and great service. My daughter is vegan and there where options for and the rest of the family as well. Everything we have had is great.

Experience ruined

By Lisa S |

Food was decent, not going to complain about it. However, service from beginning to end was horrible. All three ladies, 2 host and waiter were all rude. I was excited to try this place out but left very disappointed. I would have left after my encounter with first host, but my mom was really looking forward to trying it out, so we stayed. At the end, she left disappointed with their service as well. We decided to wait a long while before we go back, maybe by then there will be newer employees that won't ruin our experience

Wow just say wow

By dlp57 |

First let’s start with the staff. They make you feel like family as soon as you walk in. But the food. Just phenomenal. So fresh and delicious. Definitely would eat here again.

Just Terrible

By Scott M |

Sunday at 10:25 am for breakfast. It was busy and we knew we would wait. About 45 minutes later, we got a text telling us to check in with the hostess. We did and as soon as or name was called, the hostess acknowledged us and then proceeded to tell us to wait again because she had to seat someone else (to fix a mistake they made). Then she put a "consoling" hand on my shoulder. I don't know her and I don't appreciate being touched by strangers. I'm sure if the roles were reversed, it would be a Me Too scenario. We were finally seated and ordered drinks. Shortly later we ordered breakfast. We then heard from no one for nearly an hour. When we finally asked when our food would be served, miraculously it came right out. I was able to enjoy my breakfast after noon. I wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend. Too many other options.

Bad Breakfast

By TayAsh |

Huge disappointment compared to other locations. Service was slow and inattentive, this was not an under staffed situation; enough staff to have 4 host and multiple servers standing around literally showing no attention to their tables. The food was yet another let down. Large portions mean nothing when they are flavorless and bland. The person who wrote the menu had no taste buds. The final straw was the ridiculous rule of charging extra for something off the child's menu. There's nothing saying that children's menu is for only children. If someone wants a small portion they should not be punished for being older. The BS excuse that the restaurant is taking a loss by not charging an adult full price is ridiculous. The age of the person ordering the meal has no effect on the bottom line. Fortunately we are not from the area so avoiding this place will be easy.

Awesomely Different Menu

By QDOGG8 |

This is great spot for breakfast/brunch! The menu choices are your usual items but all have a distinct twist that is only found at Snooze! I can't wait to get back to try different items on the menu! The mimosas were also different and delicious!!!

Best corned beef hash EVER

By Sara R |

Snooze is a must visit in San Antonio. Everything sounded amazing, but on the recommendation of our server, Allison, I ordered the be corned beef hash, and I'm so glad I did. Flavorful, moist, and perfectly balanced, it was a dish that leaves you wanting more. In fact, I could skip the eggs and double down on the hash. My husband had the steak benny and loved it. You will have to wait, but this hipster place is worth it!

Interesting Menu -- Great Cup of Coffee

By Lynn P |

My husband and I ate breakfast on a Friday morning - the restaurant was just starting to get packed and we got lucky enough to snag a spot at the bar -- our servers were very attentive and the menu options very diverse -- my husband ordered the "pancake flight" which allowed him to choose up to 3 different pancakes or 2 pancakes and 1 french toast - he picked the first 3 pancakes on the menu -- Pineapple Upside Down Pancake, Sweet Potato Pancake, and Blackberry SubLIME Pancake -- all 3 were yummy -- I choose 2 types of eggs benedict --- traditional which was great and another that was a bit strange - my fault for going with recommendation and not checking menu -- notably the coffee was outstanding -- this restaurant offers a variety of morning adult beverages as well --- the farm to table concept is well established here and everything was very tasty. My food was a bit room temperature when i received it from server but that is a serving issue and not a food issue. A bit pricey and if you don't get there early -- probably going to be a wait.

Great as always!

By Gigi Reyes |

Our favorite place since it opened this year and didn't disappoint. This time I ordered the corned beef hash and it was good although my husband was disappointed because they took off his favorite winter green salad off of the menu and ordered the quinoa salad instead, he said it was good topped with a sunny side up egg but still wishing they had the winter green. But all in all it was great, our server was great too, she was patient on waiting for my husband to decide on his order since he can't decide right away when he found out his winter green is off of the menu. Will go back anytime.

Breakfast done right!!

By Gilbert O |

We enjoyed the Bella, Bella, Benny and the pumpkin pancake and they were both a great way to start the day. The Bella has "Thin slices of prosciutto, Taleggio cheese, and perfectly poached eggs on toasted ciabatta, topped with cream cheese hollandaise, balsamic glaze and arugula eggs, and arugula" combination is a must try. The pumpkin pancake was full of flavor with toasted pumpkin seeds topping as an added touch. Now, there is a wait bit there is plenty of stores nearby to keep you busy, and you get a text notification once you are up to be seated.

Great variety of breakfasts!

By Bill H |

This had almost a “counter culture” feel to it. Very, very busy on a Sunday morning and for good reason. Everyone’s meal was good; the server very helpful (with young kids in our party); and the atmosphere was energetic and upbeat. They take pride in taking a sustainable approach which is an added bonus (and great they can that without making compromises in quality or price).

One of my favorite brunch spots!

By Andrea F |

I've been to San Antonio twice and both times we had to eat here. So good!!! The Egg Benedicts are great. I've had the Chili Verde with barbacoa and the Bella Bella. I would recommend the Chili Verde though. Next time we are visiting San Antonio we will definitely be back!

Birthday month kickoff July 1, 2020

By Trish F |

I dine here on July 1st. If you are looking for a safe and healthy restaurant during the pandemic this is the one. The environment was COVID-19 friendly and the the food was delicious. I can't say what was going on in the kitchen but the safety practices made me feel safe. Everyone there worn masks including the servicers and host. The tables were at least 10 to 12 ft apart. I witness the staff consistently wiping down everyday.

First impression: Snooze AM Eatery New opening @ The Vineyard, San Antonio, TX

By Tim T |

This review is for the newly opened "Snooze..." located at The Vineyard at 1305 N. Loop 1604 off Blanco Road in San Antonio, TX. Not the one located inside the Alamo Quarry Market Bottom line, After eating the Breakfast Pot Pie (their take on a mashup between a Pot Pie and biscuits and gravy) - a light on the sausage and vegetable gravy-ish sauce covered puff pastry topped with an over-easy "egg" (a rather small egg at that) and a hockey puck of a lackluster hash brown; I left Snooze craving something more satisfying like biscuits and sausage gravy, over easy eggs ("plural"), and tasty hash browns or a real pot pie loaded with meat and veges at a local Jim's or even at Cracker Barrel. I wasn't that I left hungry from my Snooze taste test, just not satisfied, and for just under 14 bucks with coffee (which is kind of spendy for the portion and more importantly quality) one should be satisfied (i.e., not thinking you're still hungry because you still have a craving for something more [do I make sense?]!) Now I have to wait 'til sometime later this week to kill that which is making me crave. However, the menu is extensive, perhaps if and when I venture back, I'll try one of their spins on eggs benedict and try to find some redemption on their part.

Don’t get the “classic”

By GrumpyOldMan57 |

The place is clean and the staff are attentive. The food was unacceptable. I ordered the Classic with eggs over easy. Not so easy, I guess! Instead of three eggs separately cooked over easy, they cooked all three together. The yolks were overdone but the whites so undercooked that the center was still raw egg.

Tasty!

By Alli P |

Snooze Spuds Deluxe is a must if you are a potato lover! My friend had the pineapple upside Down Pancakes and said they were the best he has ever had. Enjoyed a Palomimosa and all three of us loved it. You can't go wrong there is something on the menu for everyone

Worth a visit!

John G. Provided excellent service. Wide selection breakfast items. Breakfast was delicious. Go early or you will have to wait. Btw-military friendly. Yay!

We listed on a Sunday morning and the location was very busy. We had a 30 minute wait but it was worth it. The menu is interesting and has a lot of choices. I had the corned beef hash which is moist and tender with crispy hash browns. My wife got the shrimp and grits and it was delicious. I definitely will go back and look forward to trying more options from the menu.

Easter breakfast with Family

By Ron W |

We were seated after a 20 minute wait and drink orders were taken. This was my first visit and I wish this place had more locations. It appears to be a newer chain and are building in various locations. The menu was large and so many choices. My wife had the stuffed French toast and the strawberries were so fresh you would think they were picked that morning. I opted for the pot pie with egg and hash browns. Very good indeed. I will go back to this place when in the area and hope they add a location in Wisconsin.

Awesome

By poppazo |

Me and my wife were in town for the weekend and a friend told us to go eat here. My wife has the pineapple upside down pancakes and I had the sweet potato pancakes. The pancakes were delicious, the service was great and portions were big and filling. I will definitely be back.

Bella! Bella! Benny

By Gigi Reyes |

OMG! This place is amazing! Bella! Bella! Benny --- nuff said. You can also substitute your hash brown for a pancake for $4 more -- best decision I ever made. The pineapple pancake was the best I ever had! Next time I'm going to order the pineapple pancake mixed with ham as suggested by our server. Waitstaff were wonderful. We went today -- Saturday and the wait was long as we were heading out. They just opened March 1, so this was their first weekend. Be there early -- they open at 6:30 am. You can also use the nowait app and check in when you get there -- very convenient especially when you're coming in around 9-nish or so. Not cheap but worth it. I was planning to visit this place whenever we go to Denver but hooray I don't need a vacation to try this place!

AMAZING!!

By Merranda M |

This place is absolutely wonderful!! We did visit during a pretty busy time and had a 20 minute wait, but so glad we waited it out. The eggs benedict were the BEST I have EVER had, I tend to be a bit snooty when it comes to this dish! Next time in San Antonio, Snooze will definitely be on our agenda again.

Tasty & energized

By WonderingTroubadour |

Very popular, friendly and energetic restaurant with a great menu, even the specialty drinks are interesting. Lots of staff to provide speedy service with a smile. booths, chairs and outside settings available. I ordered a Shrimp & Grit. At first, I was a little surprised that the dish was covered in what appeared to be an spicy oil of sort. I ate the shrimps and they did not taste generic. Then I broke the egg onto the grit, mixed in the andouille sausage, and bang! tastebud explosion - delicious. The grit was creamy (cheesy) and with the egg, it became a mouthful of delight. So I decided to order dessert; Sunburst cake. The cake was a little dry or dense. The lemon sauce was delicious, not to sweet, just right, the blackberries were not bitter, but sweet... very tasty. This was finished with a cup of Colombian latte. Lots of parking, free wifi, kid friendly.

Great breakfast place

By OK_Guy1974 |

This is a great place to have breakfast. The portions are huge and unique; the pancake selection is incredible. They also have healthy options like freshly pressed juices. The best tip is to arrive early to avoid crowds, but it would be worth the wait.

Worth the Wait!

By Roxanne B |

I've been wanting to visit a Snooze Eatery, but there is not a location close to my home, so we visited this location while in S.A. We were told that the wait was 20-30 minutes, we waited over 45 minutes. However, once we sat down our server, Salvador, was polite and attentive. The food options were unique and delicious!

great addition to San Antonio

By Silvia M |

our first visit to this great addition to San Antonio. I'm glad your here. even though it was busy the employees were friendly, attentive and very courteous. food was fantastic. will you consider adding oatmeal to your great menu? love, love, loved this place.

Bar in the Back

By B6221YRchrish |

We arrived around 11am on a Sunday, and were told the wait time will be about an hour. Finally sat down one hour and 45 minutes later. The wait isn't so bad. You can put your name on the list and hang in the area. They will text you when your seat is ready. That's a really great feature the restaurant has. Also while you wait you can enjoy a beverage from the bar. Now I was really surprised to find a full bar inside only because this was my first time here and I did not expect it. Drinks were average at best. I had the michelada and it seriously underwhelmed both me and my friend. We tried a bloody mary next and it was decent, but had so much stuff floating in it I was not able to enjoy it. On to the important stuff, the food. I asked our server what the one "must-try" item is, and was met with a surprised look. Our server recommended the Snooze Spud Deluxe based on popularity, so I'm guessing she's never tried the food there. That can't be good. Overall I like the concept. Free coffee while you wait, the bar in the back with service, and the "scene" are all great. The important stuff like drinks and food underperformed, and that's why I gave Snooze an average rating.

Creative menu, engaged staff, wonderful offerings

By Manbyk |

After a difficult morning at the hospital, I needed breakfast and would have settled for McDonald's had I gotten there first. Purely by accident I found myself exiting toward the Quarry shopping area, spotting 20-30 cars parked in front of something called "Snooze?" OK, I'll bite??? Trendy, lively, young vibrant staff and what's most impressive an amazing menu. I went with Egg's Benedict, simply fantastic. When it comes to Eggs Benedict, I am beyond critical if the Hollandaise sauce doesn't rock my world. Snooze does Hollandaise right and has found a way to spice up & present hash browns better than any others. Sounds simple, but sometimes simple made better & best sets restaurants apart. WILL DEFINITELY RETURN & RECOMMEND Snooze an AM Eatery off Basse Road to friends.

Breakfast for lunch

By scubachef88 |

Ok since this eatery has opened there has been a wait for a table even at noon on a Tuesday! But oh oh it's worth it staff was very hip cool polite and welcoming! The food was excellent I tried the Havana Daydreaming it's a Cuban with the snooze twist! Absolutely perfect Wife had the stuffed spuds basically loaded hash browns and you get to customize it, we had the pancake of the day as an appetizer yes pancake as an app. It was the piña colada pancake and it was like eating a tropical drink on a lost island I do however have a couple complaints the music was too loud with made everyone talk loud it was cold they had the AC pumping and lastly I was worthless the rest of the day after stuffing myself with some freakin great food

Cool place

Really enjoyed my visit. Food was good. Would like grits more creamier. Laid back comfortable vibe. Will go again

Good food...high prices

By Phil R |

First time here for a birthday brunch. Reviews said long wait, but only about ten minutes at 9:30 on a Friday morning. (By the time we left at 10:30, there was quite a wait). They have a lot of unusual menu items, but I just went for the traditional breakfast of three eggs, bacon, hash browns, with an English muffin. ($9.75). My wife had the Benny Duo...three small pancakes with one sausage party ($12.25). Breakfast four four people came to $57.92. The food was good, the service was excellent, but for those prices I could have had prime rib with my eggs just about anywhere else. Sorry, but we won't be going back.

Not your usual breakfast--exceptional variety!

By FCWall |

So many intriguing options that we each ordered an entree and then shared another with three types of pancakes-molten chocolate, upside down pineapple (my favorite) and blueberry crumble. Eggs Benedict with balsamic vinegar were outstanding. Plan on a wait, but a text is sent to you within five minutes of your table being ready which helps.

Great pineapple upside down pancakes

By cer718 |

Great breakfast place with some real original offerings. The pineapple upside down pancakes might be the best pancakes I have ever had. The breakfast bowls were also very good. Will try the bloody mary next time I go

Decent Breakfast

By Koani |

We ended up here since we got up too late for Guenther house. There was a 45 minute wait, not sure I would wait again but it's decent otherwise. We ordered the pancake flight (blueberry, peanut butter cup, and pineapple upside down cake), french toast, and he ordered an omelet. The french toast with mascarpone and fresh fruit was awesome. I probably should have ordered that and skipped the pancake flight as they were good but too sweet. Service was good and I notice that guests can bring their dogs which was nice.

Enjoyed breakfast (and I usually do not eat breakfast),

By k s |

My husband LOVES breakfast foods. I am more of a lunch/dinner gal. While in SA for the night, I indulged him by joining him for breakfast at Snooze. He loved his eggs. I tried the blueberry pancake, which was delicious. My latte was brewed to perfection and my meal was very good. I only wish they offered smaller portions since i do not eat a huge meal. The waiter told us before we left that they do offer half order options and to ask for it next time. If we didn't have to drive 3 hours home, I would have tried a bloody mary.

I got ALL the time

By Terrah L |

Snooze is the absolute best and honestly people who think otherwise probably were just having a bad day! You’re going to have a wait unless you’re there super early like any breakfast spot. But the wait is truly worth it. My personal favorite is the pineapple upside down pancake!!! It’s superb! And they have almond milk! I’ve always had great service there and I love it

Turkey sausage isn’t too bad. Goldilocks provide with brown sugar and maple syrup ($1 extra)

By NikaNumber1 |

It's located at an outdoor shopping center, but not by the Nordstrom Rack building, not between the cinema and Gold's gym, it's next to the spectrum, by Crumbl cookies. They really should remove the Snooze off that archway entrance by the cinema and Gold’s, since it’s way off the mark. I like the round circle booths, adorned with embroidered jack design, the dining counter and the decor is quite fun. The menu shows all of the caloric counts, that helps keep you focused if you are trying to slim down at all. Ordered the Goldilocks porridge, a protein and veggie egg white scramble and a side of berry fruit only, as I suspect the porridge may need more fruit in it. $33.02. The chicken sauce patty is like a burger. It's not bad and it's perfectly cooked as well. The protein, veggie egg white scramble isn't too bad, the sauce is a bit spicy. The Goldilocks porridge isn't too bad, a tad bland, added some brown sugar and maple syrup makes it better. I do like the toasted almond slices with the porridge. A bit odd and rather cheap of them to charge me $1 for the half tsp or so of brown sugar and maple syrup used in total, but they are charging me for the ramekin of the items.

Meh

By enya428 |

Average breakfast place. Relatively expensive for pancakes. The music is always SO loud, it’s distracting and difficult to hold a conversation. The wait times are inaccurate, despite the fact that they text you and tell you your table is “almost ready”. We waited an EXTRA 20 minutes after receiving this text, for a table we were told would only be a15 min total wait. It’s too bad San Antonio has a lack of great breakfast places, because otherwise, this place would have no chance of succeeding.

Bad

By Brenda B |

Ordered on uber eats eggs were hard supposed to be over easy, they forgot toast and gave me pancake but no syrup. Uber wouldn’t refund me. Total disappointment

Hello, pancakes!

By Megan H |

First off, start with the flight of pancakes! Pineapple upside down pancake and pear and brown sugar pancake. Wow! Had a delicious cider mimosa! Coffee was a little bitter for my taste. Had egg white frittata and loved it, simple, but good. Family had the French toast and egg Benedict's and loved them. French toast had toasted coconut on it. Yum! Go early! Great service, fun atmosphere!

Pretty good breakfasts

By Pat M |

Went on a Saturday morning around 830 wasn’t too busy. By the time we left around 10 it was packed. The food was pretty good service was very good the bourbon bloody Mary not so good everything else was pretty tasty and enjoyed very much.

I'm not a breakfast person, but....

By Zoeycat |

We showed up at 9:00 am and the wait was 1 1/2 hours. Gah!! But we'd heard it was worth the wait so we did. Mind you, this was on a Saturday. I'm sure week days aren't that bad. We started with mimosas. I had mine with a splash of mango and it was so good I had two. There are several renditions of mimosas and bloody-Mary's on the menu. I'll preface by saying I'm not a breakfast-food lover. Not a fan of most eggs, pancakes are just OK, waffles yuk, etc. But this is where my friends wanted to go so I went. I ordered the most non-breakfasty thing on the menu which was a breakfast sandwich on a pretzel bun with scrambled egg and bacon. I could have had sausage but opted for bacon. Also included were hashbrowns (which I don't normally like) and hollandaise sauce on the side. It was delicious! I ate only half the bun, with the hollandaise on top and I considered licking the plate. I LOVED the hashbrowns and managed to stop myself from growling at my daughter when she stole some off my plate. We ended with a cup of delicious coffee. The service was great too. Our waiter was happy and attentive and even cute. I would be happy to return to Snooze. And for those of you who plan to put the address into your GPS, it's Basse Road not Base.

Great food.

By Gabriela C |

The food was delicious! The only thing was that we had to wait forever to get our food. The kids enjoyed the games outside.

In town for business and heard great things!

By Jdnatural |

From start to finish had a great experience! The area seems like a growing area as everything is new and clean. Restaurant was clean and well lit. Service was top notch and got the classic breakfast with a blueberry pancake. All was excellent !

An awesome breakfast experience!

By JSR_Adventures |

This was our first visit to a Snooze, and we are sure glad that we made it. The place appears to be newer and it was well-decorated and well-maintained. Christine was very friendly and provided us with great service. The food was very good as well. We enjoyed our visit so much that we drove from our downtown hotel the next day, to have breakfast there again. We will make it a point to visit all Snooze Eateries in the future, based on this experience.

Snooze You Lose

By bobemac |

If you sleep in on the weekend you'll have to wait awhile. This upscale and jittery eatery has lots of activity and some tasty food. They do breakfast from 6:30 AM to 2:30. These guys started in Denver 12 years ago and are also present in San Diego and Phoenix. The location is modernistic and colorful but it's too noisy and at noon there was a chill inside. Lindsey was our helpful server. The Habana sandwich is shaved ham, pulled pork, jack cheese, mustard with an egg and dill pickle. The salad option was dressed greens; arugula, diced pear, pomegranate seeds, with a vinaigrette dressing. The whole meal disappeared quickly. The Snooze Spuds came with chorizo and poblano pepper, jack cheese and scrambled eggs. This was delicious along with some green chili sauce. BTW, they slip in a serving of their pineapple upside down pancakes. They make a yummy desert The food is pricey and service is a bit pokey, but the taste kept these folks on top.

Unique breakfasts - fun atmosphere

By Jerri L |

Love the menu and the atmosphere. Went for breakfast on a Monday morning around 9:30AM and had no wait but noticed that by 10AM there was a line at the door and a good wait list. We were seated at a large booth with a high chair for the baby and menus were provided. Soon after the server asked about drinks, coffee and water and we put in an order for coffee, a honey oat latte and water. The coffee and water came quickly and at that time our food orders were taken… pineapple upside down pancakes, breakfast tacos (beef), duo bennies (one Benny Benny and one ranchero Benny - pork) and a vegetable omelette. It took some time for the honey latte and the server apologized for the wait. Our water was refilled and twice someone came by to apologize for the delay with the food. It took about 45 minutes for most of the breakfast order to be brought to the table, and we were told the duo Benny order would be soon and the server said she had put in an order for a strawberry crème pancake while we waited for the Benny order. The Benny order came as the others in our group were finishing their meals, and the strawberry pancake came soon afterwards. Despite the delay for the honey latte and the duo bennies, the food was all very good and the server did a great job. The menu offers some very unique breakfast options, bloody Mary’s, mimosas and other original alcoholic and virgin breakfast drinks. They have indoor and covered outdoor seating as well.

Amazing—highly recommend

By 3rh0 |

Amazing! Our waiter, Joseph, rocked and kept us laughing the whole time! The mimosas were good (we liked the regular mimosas better than the Mmm Mmm Mimosa). Everyone loved their food—Snooze Spuds Deluxe, Breakfast Burrito (HUGE!!), Steak + Eggs Benny. We got the Pancake Flight to split—pancake of the day (espresso and chocolate), I Want Sum’oa, Blueberry Danish—which we’re AWESOME! We would’ve gotten another order, except we were so full. Would highly recommend!!

FANTASTIC

By STI13 |

Everything from the egg omelet, pancakes and service was excellent. definitely recommend this place.

Worth the wait!

By Elizabeth R |

We tried Snooze in Denver, Denver. We were excited that one had opened in our city! This is a place that you will wait for a table even in the middle of the week. Not only excellent food but generous portions. This restaurant is strictly breakfast and brunch and closes in the afternoon. The coffee is really tasty and available while you wait. No the food! My favorite is the Eggs Benedict ! However, I tried the blueberry pancakes. They were sinfully good. My daughter loves the sweet potato pancakes. I had a scrambled egg for protein with my pancakes. It was cold and not flavorful. However, I just overlooked as The blueberry pancakes melted in my mouth. The restaurant is small so getting around is hard. Our waiter was polite and worked hard! We will keep going on special occasions! Must try if you like breakfast/ brunch .

A delicious breakfast!

By teddymalice |

A little something for everyone, I have eaten at one in Austin and was left with a bad impression. I was invited to the San Antonio location by my brother. I was a little hesitant but, I must admit everything was excellent including staff:D The piña pancakes were super melt in your mouth delicious!

Nice breakfast place

Very good breakfast with interesting menu, dishes we ordered were not overly greasy, and the coffee was very good. Service was good as well, the waitress was very quick and accurate with the orders.

Don't Snooze on this Place Just Yet

By Jacqueline D |

I've read a few entertaining reviews of Snooze and decided to drop a few lines of my recent experience.. I was invited to Brunch at Snooze and decided to see what the hype was all about. Located at the Quarry, Snooze an AM Eatery reminded me of a cute little spot that college students and foodies would congregate at to discuss the events of the week .. sporting a full bar and outdoor seating the line was Hanging out the door... The line was long and several people decided to entertain themselves by playing a life size version of Jinga... our wait was an hour or more so we walked around the Quarry to window shop.. as the weather was forgiving and not above 100 degrees yet.... we sat outside and mingled with the other hungry customers. I even caught up with a friend I hadn't seen in over three years.... Once our table was ready, we were escorted to our table by our incredible waitress. We ordered some mimosas and chatted as we browsed the menu. Our mimosas arrived rather warm so I dropped in a few cubes of ice from my water and ordered the stuffed French toast as my entree.. within ten minutes our food arrived and was rather tasty .. the filling was creamy and satisfying.....while a good treat, I can't say it was worth the extended wait... Will I try again .... perhaps but definitely a meal I could have prepared at home... I'll recommend you to try but for now will say don't Snooze on this establishment just yet... Hopefully the craze dies down so the wait doesn't exceed an hour each time... Ms. Foodie

Good breakfast spot

I have eaten at a Snooze in Phoenix and like the chain. Good attitude, good concept. Bright, airy atmosphere. reasonable prices. They try hard to make sure you enjoy your visit.

Amazing Food, Variety of Options

By Elizabeth Joy |

I highly recommend Snooze. There are great options for any special diet restrictions (vegan, gluten, dairy-intolerance, etc). The wait time can be long, so go early. Great spot for breakfast or brunch. This particular location also has outdoor seating if the weather permits.

Great for Breakfast

By Alamills |

With my wife we went to Snooze a couple of times to have breakfast during the week that we were in San Antonio. Luckily we went early enough both days to get a table without any delay. Both days when we left, we noticed that there were a good number of people waiting their turn. The food is good and I’d recommend the OMG French Toast as well as the omelettes. The breakfast burrito is also pretty good but it is huge, so you have to be pretty hungry to eat it all by yourself. Service is prompt in as much as serving is concerned. One observation I have to make is that on our second time there I paid in cash and asked for a copy of the check. It took so long we ended up leaving without it.

Yummy

By takemeaway50 |

Went here with daughter and grandkids. They have tables and booths with a modern retro look. Daughter had pumpkin pancakes that she loved, they came in threes so it was plenty. The kids French toast that I thought could have been a little more but they loved them. I had the pot pie corned beef hash pie that was delicious. The corned beef made there was the best tasting, perfectly seasoned the pot pie crust was flaky and perfect and the egg on top was a perfect sunny side up. Had the holiday chocolate adult drink that I’d have again and again and again. Our waitress was delightful so was the other staff. There’s free parking in front. We had a 5 minute wait but I’ve heard on the weekend it can be an hour. I recommend this place and I really recommend their holiday drink!!

The most unique and flavorful breakfast you will ever find! Just look at the menu

By RachelleNadinePhotography |

What an incredible find! Whenever we go to a new city the only way we will go to a restaurant is if I spend a long time looking for the best restaurant in the city. I was searching for about an hour in the morning at where to go to breakfast, all it took was looking at their menu and it was a done deal. If you are looking for something totally unique and flavorful than this is a place for breakfast. My husband and I couldn't decide what we wanted so we did two of their combo plates. One sweet one salty. We chose the three pancake options with the special of the day which was a lemon poppy seed pancake batter, Citrus marscapone, macerated blackberries and almonds. The flavor was out of this world. The other pancake was a sweet potato pancake with candied pecans on the top. The other was to die for, a pancake with a cream filling and blueberries on top. My daughter ordered the pineapple upside-down pancake and it was so delicious while at the same time light and fluffy. My youngest ordered the pancake of the day which had a tropical theme with coconut and a flavored cream with chocolate pancake, he was in pancake heaven. The eggs benedict options were the most creative and flavorful I have ever tasted in my life. We did a two choice combo and each one was amazing. The Chili Verde Benny was an explosion of flavor. We also ordered the Harvest Benny which add quinoa underneath. My son ordered the Bella Bella Benny and the Steak and Eggs Benny. He loved the Stesk and Eggs Benny. I ended up eating the Bella Bella because it wasn't what he thought it would be. But I liked it even more than what I had chosen myself which was already absolutely incredible. I wish we had one of these restaurants in Portland Oregon, we would be there every day if we could.

Best Breakfast In San Antonio

By Marge387 |

We've been to quite a few breakfast places and this one is by far our favorite. The Chili Verde Pork Eggs Benedict and Neat French Toast are delicious. The French toast has that nice crisp outside and soft inside that so many others mess up. Downsides to this place are the wait (come early) and it can be loud inside. We enjoyed the music they were playing, but it might be distracting or annoying to some.

Palomimosas and Brunch! Best way to start the day!

By Angela S |

Great place for brunch with friends. Can't say how much we all LOVE the Palomimosa!!! Staff is friendly and attentive. Be prepared to wait, but the food is so worth it. Snooze Spuds Deluxe, Chili Verde Benny, Benny Goodman & Snooze Breakfast Burrito all wonderful. Pancakes are great. Make sure to ask for Yellowbird Serrano sauce to put on your spuds or burrito. So good!

Great Brunch!

By pfamily85 |

Great way to start our day! Sat out on the patio and enjoyed a great meal w/family. The pineapple mimosas are a treat! I had a traditional plate, eggs, bacon and the best hash browns! The staff was great, very friendly and fast service too. We could have sat there all day!

Great pancakes and chicken sausage

By dfostertol |

Went with my husband and three sons. The wait was kinda long so we went to the quarry to waste time. We each order a meal and the pancake flight to share. The pancakes melted in my mouth. We ordered the sweet potato, special of the day (olivia sweet tooth) and pineapple upside down pancake. I enjoyed the chicken sausage (homemade in the restaurant). Service was a little slow but our waitress was nice. Would go again.

Great brunch spot

By roropatel27 |

Great food, vegetarian options. Bit of a wait but worth a try. Must try pancake flight, like eating dessert

Poor execution

By Lookie_Lew |

I visited the location on the 1604 with my sister. I wanted a Spanish style omelet, but had to order a plain omelet and add onions, tomatoes, peppers, cheese with ranchero sauce. Each of these items added about $.75 to construct a simple omelet. A carb was also supposed to be included, so I ordered an English muffin. My sister ordered eggs benedict. When the order arrived, my English muffin and jam was on my sisters plate with no butter. Someone needs to tell the chefs that an English muffin needs to be toasted at least twice as long as a piece of toast! The English muffin was warm but not toasted at ALL! When the guy that delivered our order, I asked him for some butter, ranchero sauce and ketchup for the hash browns that should have delivered with the meal, but wasn't. He acted like he was bothered with my request. It came out at least five minutes later at which time my omelet and nearly warm English muffin was cold. The waitress basically disappeared during our visit. My sister paid the bill, so I don't know how much my DRY tasteless omelet cost, but I'm sure it wasn't cheap. Someone needs to tell the chefs not to cook the omelets to death. I'm done with this place!

I want more

By lalalala41 |

I'm still in my pancake heaven after leaving Snooze . I had read so many good things about this place . I decided to try it . I arrived @ 9 am on Saturday morning . It was busy . A kind host took all of my information. There were some benches outside & all kinds of games for children & adults to play . I received a text message saying my " table was ready " . I was seated quickly to my table . The waitress was kind & knowledgeable. I ordered the pineapple upside down pancakes , eggs & sausage patty . My food arrived & the portions were huge !! The pancakes tasted like heaven . My eggs & sausage patty were served hot & fresh . The service was good & the food was exceptional! My new favorite breakfast spot .

Brunch with niece during a visit to San Antonio

By exultnu |

When visiting my brothers from out of state, my niece took my two brothers and I to Snooze an AM Eatery. I enjoy eating fresh, organic foods to stay healthy and happy. Snooze didn't disappoint. The variety of choices on the menu was great and price ranges to suit a practical or splurging frame of mind. My dish had smoked salmon and was delectable. My niece had luscious-looking pancakes (pumpkin I think). We all enjoyed the food, great service and fun decor.

You'll Want to Leave a Wake Up Call.

By OmniEpicurean |

Snooze does not owe its popularity to the swell looking nouveau art deco interior with curvy booths and its not so muted color scheme. Neither does it curry favor with the one and a half hour plus wait in line that still queues up on the weekends. So sleep in if you must, but be forewarned that the later you snooze in the longer you will be left out - of a chance at a reasonable wait time that is. Now being able to go on a weekday in late morning is a different story and a luxury reserved for the retired, those with flexible or shift work schedules, students, the independently wealthy and / or their spouses, or the ne'er-do-wells though I doubt you will find the latter most group among the mostly hip and / or monied patrons. Menu choices are a pleasureable conundrum with quite a few mouth watering items to mull over. Order some of their very good house coffee, boutique Maine soda, or a breakfast eye opener from the bar while you agonize over your selection. As I have a penchant usually reserved for savory breakfasts, I ordered the Eggs Benedict with my usual switcheroo of sausage patties for ham. The sausage just delivers a bigger taste profile for me and it does, believe it or not, go very well with the slightly lemony hollandaise - extra sauce please! The eggs were done just as I like them with a golden viscous flow of yolk when cut. Nicely done. Not to disparage the hash browns that came with the eggs, but they assumed the size and shape of a hockey puck composed of flat top griddled, slightly herbaceous seasoned, potato shreds that were compressed into their sporty round shape. These had the potential for being a little dry, but did just fine when dredged through the extra hollandaise sauce I had requested. A modified order of sausage patty, scrambled eggs, hash browns and blueberry pancake was the other selection for our table which was a slight deviation from the Classic Breakfast menu item. I usually don't get too excited about scrambled eggs, but when they are prepared with the obvious chef skill and experience that these were, they are the magnificent Mona Lisa in a gallery of breakfast masterpieces. The smooth appearance of these ever so slightly ropey textured eggs hinted at the cloudlike lightness that was realized with the first bite. I am only infrequently moved to use a superlative in food description, but these were the best darnned scrambled eggs I had ever tasted - the stuff FoodTV shows with celebrity chefs are made of. The hash browns are as previously described and the sausage patty is good with a sneaky latent hot pepper growl that you don't notice until after several bites. Luscious . . . that's the word I would use for the blueberry "pancake" if such a lowly moniker is even applicable. The light buttermilk griddle cake was good if not usual, but drizzled with a blueberry coulis and sweet cream, sprinkled with almond streusel, and center filled with a lemony cream cheese, it made me want to kiss Kim, a sweetheart of a manager, when she brought out an extra container of the blueberry coulis to further crown this royal fare. By the end of the meal we had totally forgotten that we had to wait for 15 minutes to be seated (a pittance of inconvenience by the usual standard here). We were also now completely oblivious to the earlier noted, heavily crumbed floor under our table and a solitary piece of what looked like Captain Crunch cereal that lay next to me adorning my bench seat. I sat there at the end of the meal sipping my third cup of java wondering how I would express the agony (my wife was not as fond of the herbed hash browns or the sneaky heat of the sausage as I was) and the ecstasy of the meal we just had in a review. So let's just say in contemplative circumspect and antithetical bromide that . . . Not to Snooze is to Lose.

Creative food options

By Dave G |

This is a must if you enjoy breakfast food. Top shelf service from Autumn. Great variety of unique offerings of pancakes, grits, Benedict’s, coffee, etc.. We went with the trio pancake option which provide an opportunity for choosing 3 varieties. Shrimp and grits was a great surprise as it had sausage and egg combined with the shrimp and grits.

We had eaten at Snooze in Tempe several times so we’re thrilled that we found one in SA. Crazy busy and had to wait, but worth it. Love this place.

Great food - heaps of options

By Rachael Barz |

Popped in with a friend at what must be peak hour (wed 1030am) as it was super busy and meant we had to wait 15 mins to be seated (which was totally fine). We were seated and served water pretty quickly. we waited a while for a coffee but in the end we weren't charged for it because of how long we waited which was nice and unexpected. We ordered an omelette and the avo on toast/fried eggs which were both really tasty and very generous sizes. We saw people next to us got the pancakes which looked super fluffy and tasty!! Will be back again to try more of the menu!

New experiences

So decided to try out this Resturant I found on trip advisor, atmosphere is like Austin vibes for sure. They have a variety menu which is nice. The food was good presentation, more less needs a little more spices added to it. But over all a good experience to come try at least once.

WOW!!! JUST WOW!!

Holy moly!!! The best breakfast on the planet!! We had the OMG FRENCH TOAST... and you WILL say OMG! I tell you... you’ll DREAM about this French toast. The Peter Paul Reuben (Ruben?) is the best Reuben I’ve EVER had in my life. Hash browns delish too. Staff was incredible... Ana Lisa was super helpful, attentive and sweet. We are putting this on our list of musts when in SA.

Delicious breakfast!

I had researched a good breakfast place and saw the good recommendations on Trip Advisor so we decided to try it. There was a wait when we got there if we wanted to sit inside. We choose to get seated immediately and sit outside. They have many cool things to do while you wait. A huge Jenga game, hula hoops, corn hole. It's a super modern, hip restaurant. The alcoholic drinks sounded so good but I was not drinking this day. I just got the simple two egg breakfast with bacon, hash browns and toast and everything was amazing. No complaints whatsoever. Our waitress was wonderful and friendly and even had suggestions of places where I could take my mom who was visiting from out of town. I will be back many times!

Delicious and Cute

Out-of-towners, and man I wish we had one at home! The food was amazing; I had a simple egg and bacon, but it was delicious. Many of the breakfasts come with the options of 3 add-ons, like avocados or bacon, that others up charge for. My husband’s cherry jubilee pancakes were awesome, and they offer little samplers of three smaller pancakes, so you don’t get overwhelmed by the sweetness. We will come back the next time we’re in San Antonio!!!! Love the Colorado vibe.

Pick Up service unsat

Food is good. Delivery slow. Ordered on line for pickup. Had to wait 20 minutes after promised time.

Wow

By RaTa6 |

On a Friday mid morning the place is packed and wait time was 20-30 min. So we chose to sit at counter where seats were open. Coffee is wonderful and our breakfast items were served quickly and hot. This place has a old diner feel but upscale. Alcohol is served here also. I would highly recommend trying but be prepared to spend a little more.

Great fluffy eggs

By Kate K |

A comfy place for breakfast. The eggs, both scrambled and the omelet, were light and fluffy... more so than most other breakfast places. The latte tasted incredible - the perfect blend of coffee and milk, but it could have been bigger. Great pancake options. All in all, a great breakfast!

Amazing breakfast

By blake0821 |

Wow! I wish this place is available in Seattle, it would be a hit! The food was delicious and made with fresh ingredients! I had egg white frittata with a buttermilk pancake on the side. My husband had the pork sandwich which met his expectation. The kids shared blueberry pancakes. My daughter in law had sweet potato has with eggs scrambled. My son had a gigantic meaty sandwich. The ambiance is great and open.

Brunch

By you-and-me-2015 |

First time visit ... short wait, played corn toss outside ... nice atmosphere and friendly wait staff ... large selection menu and everything can be customized ... specialty pancakes (pineapple upside down) etc. ... long wait after ordering ... two of five orders were not correct ... mimosa not so fabulous-don't recommend ... pretty pricey $$$$ for breakfast ... T-shirts for sale - didn't have to one I wanted to purchase. It's a maybe if we go again

Good Food with a Long Wait

By SheWh0L0vesT0Travel |

Girlfriends met here for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Waited 20 minutes to be seated and another 30 minutes for our food. Food was good but service was slow. When we were finally finished with our food, we wanted to drink another cup of coffee and talk but were frequently asked if there was anything else we needed and once even asked if we were finished. Felt we were being rushed out of the place after we waited all that time!

Good food service needs improvement

By Jane S |

I really enjoyed brunch with friends on the patio. Very disappointed that we had to wait about 45 on a Monday for a table. Everyone ordered something different so we could all enjoy several different meals. Each one was fabulous even though the orders were a bit messed up. We will go again in hopes of better service.

A Morning Recharged

Fasting prior to a medical procedure. We’ve been there. Here is our shot at breakfast blitz on a workday. Snooze offers all the faves in an upbeat atmosphere. The servers are attentive. The kitchen delivers with the egg scrambles and Benedicts.

Casual gourmet pancakes & more

By cybermom333 |

We had brunch after my son in laws graduation with a group of friends and enjoyed all sorts of choices for brunch and tried different flavors if pancakes. They have daily flavors. We had the sweet potato pancakes and others had the daily special that was blueberry & coconut. Everything was delicious & the service 5 star. Little gem in San Antonio.

Best Week Day Breakfast

By MiataGrl69 |

Analisa was our bar waitress. She was very friendly and down to earth. She made us feel very welcome and she was very accomodating. Snooze: The drinks (Grapefruit Palomimosa) were A-Mazing and the Breakfast (Bracado Toast with Bacon) ... YUMMY!! Will return ASAP!!

Great breakfast place

By f02301 |

Great breakfast place for couples or families. Very crowded on weekends but nice during the week. Huevos Rancheros and eggs Benedict we’re both excellent. Service was spectacular. We desperately need one of these on the far west side in Alamo Ranch!

Worth a try!

So I looked up best place for breakfast in San Antonio and this place came out no 1: so I went ahead and tried it! They have some unique selection in their menu that you just feel like trying them all! But I didn’t, that would be too much food! You also have to have the taste for it too. They have your regular breakfast menu or you can make your own plate and they’ll price it accordingly. Price is reasonable. I tried their unique pancakes they were delicious but just too sweet for me. They have the kids meal which I think a bit smaller serving compared to other breakfast place. Aside from their unique food menu I think it’s just like any other diners.

Worth the Wait

By DJonamission |

This was the best breakfast we have had in a long time. Their corned beef hash is exceptional. We couldn’t decide which pancakes to get so we got their sampler. It was great!

Snooze

By SandiE147 |

An appropriate name for a lackluster eatery. The service was slow, waiter we had was inattentive . The only thing that came out hot was our coffee. It was close to 20-30 minutes for our food to come out cold. Now I see why there is such a long wait for a table. We went on a Sunday around 9am, they are only open till 2:30pm, well anyways there is a drink menu on the table with breakfast style cocktails, so when we tried to order one, we were told that we could not until 10am. Why have the menu on the table or maybe have a disclaimer. Not sure why the hype about this place. Quite disappointed.

One of the best places to eat Breakfast!

By SuzS |

What is the best places to eat breakfast and lunch in San Antonio! They have a very unique menu and even offer gluten-free options. They gluten-free sweet potato pancakes are amazing!! They have another location off of 1604 and Blanco

What a great way to start the day, even late

By Joe C |

What a find! We moved into the apartments across the street and found this marvelous place for breakfast, even in the early afternoon. I tried theirUpside Down Pineapple Pancake and it was delicious. My wife had the Ham Benny and her eggs were done perfectly. It will be a repeater for us now that we discovered it. All the servers were very pleasant although I don’t think our server’s name was really “Crazy Eyes”?

Shrimp & Grits For Brunch

By retphcs |

We stopped at Snooze Eatery in the Alamo Quarry Market yesterday morning for brunch. This is a popular place as we had to wait a good 45-minutes before we could get a table. Once seated, my son ordered a bloody Mary and I requested a iced Local Nitro Cold Brew Coffee. I followed by ordering the Shrimp & Grits which consisted of Homestyle cheesy grits loaded with sautéed shrimp, Andouille sausage, savory soffrito, topped with a cage-free sunny side up egg. I love shrimp and grits, but never thought of having it in the morning. Put a fried egg on top and it is the perfect brunch. The food was good but I felt it was very pricy. I am happy that we went to experience it but it isn’t a place I would put on my most frequented list.

Breakfast Delight

By gl0balbiztraveller |

Excellent breakfast, even if basic. Great service and perfectly cooked eggs. Menu has some cool and interesting dishes which will bring me back.

Phenomenal Breakfast

By Don J |

I'm a breakfast guy and have very high standards for eating out for breakfast but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of everything we were served. The pancake flight was great because it allowed me to order three different types of pancakes. They even satisfied a special request for a pecan pancake that isn't on the menu. My wife had the snooze classic breakfast and the scrambled eggs were great, the bacon was thick and tasty, and the hash browns were equally good (yes, I sampled everything on her plate).

Food is excellent

By H S |

Great spot for breakfast or brunch. Food is always so good and their coffee is really good too. I have tried so many different things there and have eaten at quite a few locations most of them in Colorado. But the food still tastes amazing at each location.

Great Breakfast, BUT you'll wait for it.

By Erik_B_Hawaii |

Okay, let's start with the breakfast baseline: Denny's would average 1.5 stars with me for food, though usually a 4 star service experience. Snooze in San Antonio is NOT like Snooze in Hillcrest, San Diego. There are no board games and they are so consistently slammed that any pretense of good, fun service is dropped. (They play a loud song and only the manager and one runner even have the energy to pretend to dance.) So, even with a ten minute wait for a Bloody Mary (sitting at the bar) and a 28 minute wait for food, how do they even get 3 stars? Let me introduce you to eggs Benedict with barbacoa. Yes. They could make me eat this out of a dog bowl in the bathroom and I would still say, "Yes, please." The food here, when it eventually gets to you, is worth it. Now, if they could just get some more servers, preferably poached from Denny's, and some board games, we'd have something here!

Be there early

By Jarrod R |

We have eaten at several Snooze Restaurants in Texas and Colorado and absolutely love them, however the one at the Quarry in SA has become so crowded that if you are not there by 8:15 am on the weekends you will have a hour or more wait. With standing room only, the quality of the food has not been as good the last 3 times we have eaten in SA. The mimosa’s have not been up to par as with our previous visits.

Wow!

By KSyrah13 |

Impressive food and service. I've never seen such a clean environment! The staff was constantly sanitizing and following the correct Covid protocols. We ordered vegan avo toast and sweet potato mash and they were SO GOOD!!

My first terrible rating! Not even two Bloody Marys can make me give this place a good review

By JMPTourist |

We arrived before noon on a Sunday. We were quoted an 1.5 hour wait. At two hours, we were still being told "you are almost there." It is obvious that the management doesn't know how to run a restaurant. Small parties were being seated at large tables, with many, many people waiting. The hostess also explained that if you receive the text that your table is ready and you are not present (or even close) you can still arrive at your leisure to the restaurant and be put back at the top of the list. I think this results in wildly inaccurate estimates of wait time. The management seemed completely unconcerned that many people were complaining of longer than quoted wait times. He even excused himeself from the hostess stand and went to blow bubbles around the restaurant. ???? Not really sure what to make of this. After three hours, we finally received our text that our table was ready. Thankfully, we had already moved on. If you want an excellent brunch in San Antonio, go to Cappys or il Sogno. Both take reservations and neither will lie to you.

Love Snooze But Plan Ahead

By Susan M |

I love Snooze and their menu selections. My daughter is gluten intolerant and Snooze has a great selection of gluten free choices. We both ordered the Blueberry Danish Pancakes. While mine was regular, hers was the gluten free version and both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is pleasing and we were allowed to bring our dog and eat outside on the porch. Our waitress even brought a dog bowl of water for Carly, my 10 month old shih tzu puppy. The only negative is the wait time when you first arrive due to Snooze being so popular. It has been 45-60 minutes both times we’ve eaten there. They give you a flashing remote so you can stroll the nearby shops and will also give you a text. Definitely a great place to eat and a very enjoyable experience.

Very enjoyable!

Excellent atmosphere and service. The Monte Cristo was very good. They have unique offerings, and I love going here because of their beliefs in giving back, protecting the environment, and welcoming all backgrounds.

A Must for Breakfast

By hamguy8 |

We just happened upon this place. Six of us went on a Saturday morning. Had a short 10 minute wait. Our server was delightful knowing we were tourists she really rolled out the red carpet. The food was great. Fun place. Wish they were in my town.

Great Spot

By Kathy M |

The food and staff were amazing, we ordered the breakfast tacos and the sweet potato hash, it was all just amazing.

Best breakfast and very friendly staff

By MrsParente19 |

I can say enough about the awesome food and service we had. We were a large party and the did an amazing job fitting us in. We had three kids and our waitress was fantastic at remembering everything and she went above and beyond to make sure the kids were doing well. Order a mimosa, they are amazing. It’s a full tall glass of champagne with a shot on the side of orange juice. You get to have the fun mixing them and if you only want a splash of OJ do it :) I wish I could point out one good thing on the menu but it was all fantastic. No matter what you order you won’t be disappointed. Be prepared to wait for greatness, they don’t accept reservations over the phone so be patient and enjoy the sunshine while you wait. It’s worth it!

Fun at Breakfast

By garydb254 |

Go during the week. Long waits on weekends. Food is good and service was quick and friendly. My only complaint is that you can't "mix" foods. You will have either eggs or pancakes. I got a substituted a pancake for a biscuit and it cost me four extra dollars. This is a good place to eat. I would be happy to come back. But there are places I like better closer to home.
