Snooze or loose

By H2hpv |

OK, been by several times as there are many great places to eat in the area Always has a crowd waiting to get in,so we tried a Friday morning Guess what a crowd and a half hour wait to get in Well the choices were amazing. Always a good sign when there are options Could not decide and they have an option to split half and half of any choice The server let me know about this option So I went with eggs Benedict, and French toast. Then I ordered bacon side Both dishes were great. Service was great. Very positive experience Only negative was the sidewalk while waiting smelled like a bathroom Not their fault but their problem. They should wash the sidewalk as a community service But again s place I would go back to

Great breakfast place

By Markfromthe414 |

Located in the Hillcrest district of San Diego, Snooze is a fabulous breakfast spot. I had the flight of pancakes - sweet potato, pineapple upside down, and sunburst. The sunburst/lemon was the best and the other two were good as well, though I was a little disappointed in the pineapple. It was a little light on flavor, though i think that was because I expected it to taste like pineapple upside down CAKE. It does not. The atmosphere was very trendy and lively. The place fills up fast so use the NoWait app to get on the list. I would definitely return here in the future!

I Really enjoyed this place we actually visited 2 times within our 5 day stay the food is very good, they gave us free pancakes for the tasting and they was so delicious, Shrimp and grits are good too, waiter are friendly great place for the price.

Yummmm

Retro chic, mid-century modern and fun dining experience! The breakfast pot pie was divine and the service was sooo friendly! Go-eat-enjoy.

Best Breakfast in Town

By Eapboone |

Where do I begin?? Atmosphere: friendly and very welcoming to kids. We have an 18month games, books and coloring were provided for his attention. The kids menu is great and when you order a kids drink you get a kids size straw! Often restaurants don’t think of this and we end up with a mess. Service: friendly and attentive. Food: Amazing!! I had the double Benny (you choose two different Eggs Benedicts which is perfect because I’m a connoisseur of Eggs Benedict) both were so yummy and perfectly cooked. My husband chose a breakfast sandwich which will remind you of a Hamburger with a giant sausage patty for the meat. It looked wonderful and he loved it. Xan’s breakfast consisted on potato’s and a breakfast quesadilla. Which is perfect for tiny hands. I can’t say enough about this place. We will be back!!! Love this place wish we lived closer.

Legit Breakfast

By Renee S |

This place pretty much always has a wait, so be ready! It's worth it, though. So darn good. Quality breakfast meat. Gluten-free pancakes for the win. I will usually get an egg and bacon dish and whoever I'm with will get one of the many pancake options. Then, we split both dishes. It's so hard to choose! My favorite is to get the pancake sampler. Then you can choose a few of the pancake options and taste more goodness.

Loved it!

By Thefatladysang |

Excellent service. Fun, eclectic interior. Extensive, thoughtful, innovative and well-executed menu. This place is all over it. 🍳 My breakfast tacos were packed with lusciousness and were accented beautifully with fresh salsa and a great serrano hot sauce the server provided. I also tried the orange cinnamon roll pancake special; the base pancake batter was just ok, and I didn’t get much orange flavor, but with the great crunchy topping, and the cinnamon both in the butter and swirled nicely into the cake, it was an overall success. 🍳 I’ll def hit this place up again the next time I have the opportunity.

I won’t come back again

。Signature pancake flight, replace one to French toast 12.75 。Two Cage-free eggs 4.25 。Orange juice 4.25 。Watermelon juce 5.5 鬆餅很普通,法式吐司很好吃,外酥內軟,楓糖漿也好吃。我要新鮮的果汁,店員卻給我濃縮果汁,服務生態度很差,不會想回訪的餐廳

Eclectic Breakfast Fare

By FlyfisherAlan |

We brunched at Snooze on a TripAdvisor recommendation and were not disappointed. The food came out quickly and was fabulous. I enjoyed the “Benny Goodman” breakfast with poached eggs with lox, cream cheese and capers on toast with hash browns. Excellent! You’ll probably wait a short time for seating due to the popularity of Snooze, but it’s worth the wait.

Top Notch Service

By Janet S |

The food was abundant and good. We had a variety of interests from healthy to gluten free to sweet tooth and everyone was happy. The most impressive part of the meal, however, was our server. Shawn. The place was packed and she was scrambling, but she took time to check on us and even noticed when my husband didn't care for his green tea. She came over and suggested a replacement at no cost to us. All with a friendly smile. She made our morning!

Great at meal customization

By margaritaluver |

We were impressed that the waitress was offering us ideas for our Keto friendly diet. It was delicious!! Highly recommend.

Delicious breakfast

By GeenaW718 |

We found Snooze by accident and are so happy we did. Great breakfast spot but if you are more than 2 people, get there before 9 The French toast is delicious but my fav was Sandwich I Am. An egg and sausage sandwich on a pretzel roll

All 8 of us had delicious, tasty, and filling breakfasts!!

By 2beans2000 |

I arrived 80-90 minutes ahead to put our name in... the app they use, NO WAIT, doesn’t take reservations for parties larger than 7. So.... if you have a big group and are going in a weekend morning...send one person to put in the name and then bring a book, have a cup of coffee and enjoy some reading time while the wait begins!! Ok, now that you know there is a wait to be expected, let’s just be sure to say it’s worth it!! We had a table full of pancake flights + one eggs Benedict + one hash/eggs. Everyone loved their meals (pictures below!) If you have never been to SNOOZE, then consider ordering a “flight” of pancakes... you can choose any 3 flavors. Their eggs Benedict menu is also full of creative and delicious choices. There are also many “Sammies”, breakfast sandwiches to co sider. And don’t forget to look at the breakfast tacos or burritos.... whew! Parking is on-street or a pay lot across the street. There are toys and books for kids to enjoy during the wait. For adults, there is plenty of free coffee!! Enjoy!

The best!

By Whatsinanayme |

Come here. Get the pancakes. And the coffee! This place was one of the highlights of our weekend in San Diego. The staff was very friendly. I didn't even mind that they forgot our side of bacon until almost the end of our brunch. We went on a Monday morning and didn't have to deal with any of the crowds. But I can imagine on the weekends it gets very popular. Hurry up and open and location in Los Angeles, please!

Not worth the 1 hour 20 minute wait

By Christina Campbell |

I was so excited to try this restaurant. 2 friends had suggested it and the reviews online were pretty good. Plus, my fiance LOVES French toast. There is not really any place to sit and wait on our table so we just posted up on the sidewalk and sat on the ground in the sun to wait. After waiting an hour and 20 mins (all the while i kept thinking it would be worth the wait) we were seated in a spot where we couldn't even enjoy the ambience. We were seated at a table behind a tall ledge. I was stuck staring at a wall and had to stand and look over the ledge from time to time to remind myself I was in a place w lots to look at. I ordered the "ooh-la-la" frittata and it was decent, but I was expecting far more considering the wait and praise I had heard from others.

Supersize

By sweets |

Got the blt, made with belly center bacon, so not sure if it’s made different from regular bacon, but didn’t taste like it was so salty like normal bacon. Made with sourdough bread (huge slices, looked like they probably made it in house, ketchup too) Hashbrowns were gigantic, like a hamburger patty from a whole potato, kind of overwhelming 😵If they had cut the sandwich in half and maybe did two thinner hashbrown patties instead of that big daddy, might have been better. The food was good though.

Service wasn’t the best but the food was really good.

By rachelannerobinson |

Food was awesome. Service was subpar. The server forgot about us and I waited a very long time for my coffee and my bill. He kept saying oh yeah, you guys.

Breakfast and ambiance!

By Hany G |

This place is always crowded and we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. We had an outdoor table which was wobbly and the floor was kind of inclined not straight. Our breakfast came out good, no complaints. The server was nice and attentive.

The best brunch ever!

By cshpanda |

Went here with some people from work. We had to wait a while, about 30 minutes, but our experience was so worth the wait! They also had heaters and seating outside for people waiting. We ordered various pancakes like cinnamon and pineapple. I ordered a dish with corned beef hash. The service was awesome. The menu is eclectic and unique. The place is socially conscious too. A really cool place!

Our first visit here and boy

Our first visit here and boy were we impressed. Every dish we ordered was delicious. The service was excellent as well. We shall return.

Creatively Good Breakfast

By Jim G |

While in town for business, my coworker recommended we have breakfast at Snooze. Upon arrival at roughly 10:30 AM on a Thursday, we noticed people waiting outside. We checked in and were told it would be approximately 30-40 minute wait. We walked around the corner to Pete’s and had a cup of coffee. The wait ended up being approximately 20 minutes when we received the text. As we arrived back at Snooze, we were quickly seated and greeted by our server. She was a very nice and helpful person. She offered drinks and we both chose water. We both ordered the Habanero Pork Belly Benny Breakfast, which included seared cider-braised, habanero pork belly on top of a griddled English muffin with house-made bacon-espresso jam and poached cage-free eggs. They were topped with house-made cream cheese hollandaise and cranberry relish with a side of hash browns. The wait for our food was minimal. The food arrived and it looked great, although they skimped on the hollandaise sauce we felt. They seemed a bit dry without enough sauce. We both ordered some additional hollandaise, which made them great. The habanero pork belly had a bit of a kick to it. The hash browns were good. Definitely a bit different take on a classic breakfast staple, but pretty darn good. The atmosphere is upbeat and the place fits right in with the neighborhood. Next time I might have to give something else a try. Enjoy!

REALLY SHOULD BE BETTER

By Cary L |

I tried this place after hearing good things from a couple of friends. Based on my first visit, I have to say they seem to be skating on their reputation. The staff are very nice and friendly, but service was surprisingly slow, considering the room was only half full. I ordered corned beef hash, which is my go-to dish for cafes or other restaurants serving breakfast. Sadly, the poached eggs were overcooked and the bits of corned beef were mostly charred, as if reheated far too long. At these prices, one has a right to expect better.

Love this restaurant

By Traveller2003 |

The food is fantastic and we love the laid back atmosphere! BEST BRUNCH SPOT! We found this restaurant in Denver and we were very happy to find there was one in San Diego. We went twice while on vacation. It's become our go to place for brunch.

Great place for breakfast

By NTVS2 |

Ordered a Denver omelet and a pumpkin pancake. It was so delicious! My friends ordered blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes and they were just as scrumptious.

Worth the wait, half orders ideal

By emme45 |

The wait can be extensive, but the service and food are amazing. Many dishes can be ordered in half sizes which was perfect when indecisive.

Annoyed yet Amazed

By tktmcnair |

Literally watched people who just arrived get seated before us. Waited for over an hour for a table of 2. It was a table war in this guy. The receptionist would faintly yell your name and then moved on to the next person. You literally had to stand in front of them to recognize you, and to get their attention. I received no texts that my table was ready, and front desk knew I was waiting and knew my name. Maybe I came on a off day. I get it, it’s Friday and folks love to brunch. Luckily JD saved the day. Food was boom, and he was very attentive and nice. Once our food came my mood definitely changed. I went from hangery to happy real quick. The servers all had a great attitude and seemed like they were having a good time. Listen, don’t come here hangry on a Friday. Be prepared to wait. Bacon Corn-beef Hash - Amazing! This is the best hash ever! Blueberry Danish Pancakes - Heavenly! The cream, the berries, and the crumbles on top! My God is awesome! Shrimp & Grits - These grits were slap yo mama worthy! Seasoned very well and it had a Cajun kick to it.

Yummm

By Deb |

My niece and I got brunch here and it was awesome. She had the lemon ricotta pancakes and I got the Benny duo with 1/2 traditional eggs benedict and the other with avocado. It was so delicious!

Breakfast

By Jose B |

A cute trendy place, usually not my style, but we enjoyed the food. Good size portions. Fresh ingredients.

Best place to have breakfast

By Tony Brown |

One of the best places in San Diego to have breakfast. We come here because of a friend's recommendation. The menu is good with a lot of selections. The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly. Highly recommended!

How to decide?

By shelleyt809 |

We enjoyed our first visit so much we went again in our day trip! The breakfast pot pie was amazing, and The pancakes didn’t disappoint in round two! My niece requested something she had had before that was no longer on the menu. Staff was super polite and accommodating!

So good.

By cindy l |

Love this place. Must have hit it at the right time, there was no wait. Usually I have to wait at least a few minutes. Ordered my “usual”, corned beef hash. So delicious. Did not disappoint. Only negative was the malfunctioning drink dispensers. Couldn’t get a soda or even a lemonade. Not a big deal. But I don’t drink coffee and was really wanting something cold. I always try to hit this place when I visit. Will def be back.

Good pancakes

By emnem216 |

Came here early Saturday morning and there was already a small crowd, but we only waited about 10 minutes. The ambiance is fun and spacious. Pretty good service considering how busy they were. The pancakes were great. Not obnoxiously sweet, just right. The breakfast burrito was ok, nothing special. I definitely want to try their Eggs Benedict next time. My one negative was that my coffee cup had stains on the outside...Obviously didn’t get a thorough cleaning. Street parking is available but limited.

A new twist on pancakes

By Marc G |

Went for a Sunday brunch with friends and family. We had a flight of pancakes... pineapple, chocolate peanut butter, coconut and a savory Fathers Day experiment. All were great, creative and yummy... even the savory one! Scrambles and Benedict’s were solid too! We’ll be back for more

Superb Breakfast

By Sam R |

It was a Saturday morning and people were spilling out on to the sidewalk, it was rammed but we expected a wait on a weekend, it was our last day in San Diego so we didn't mind waiting. If you're in a hurry get there early. We were sat in a cute booth and served by Ryan and Taylor who were both fantastic, the food was fabulous and the service was fairly quick which was amazing given how busy they were, although we didn't feel rushed. I had the pineapple upside down pancakes which were absolutely delicious. My husband had the Snooze Classic which he thoroughly enjoyed and it was a great size, not too big! The prices were really reasonable and we enjoyed our last breakfast in San Diego. There is a parking garage on the same street.

Great breakfast

By Pitt-Duq |

A busy place... that's because the food is great! I had to wait a little bit, but it was worth it. Nice atmosphere and great service.

De-lic-ious!

By 1mjp2020 |

Loved it! This restaurant was so good! We visit family in San Diego every year or so, and are always looking for new places. This one was a total find! Go!

Great brunch spot, good food!

By alanroytbak |

Came here on a weekday morning. Place was still packed and it was about a 30 minute wait. That’s not a problem, just grab a drink by the bar while you wait! Our server was very friendly and the place is kid friendly. Our food was delicious, good portions.

Great food and service!

By Stephanie P |

Great Food and Service! We tried Snooze on a whim. They have a great menu including vegan options and the servers were polite and friendly. It was busy but the food came out in reasonable time. Would definitely recommend for breakfast or brunch.

Out of town

By Nate T |

Came here seeing it was one of the spots in San Diego. Didn't disappoint. Rancheros was a great meal! Definitely lived up to the review.

Great food!!

By vannesagP8631YX |

My son and I went from brunch. They have free coffee, water and games while we wait. It was a little wait but the food was delicious.

Funky spot with unique, fresh breakfast favorites

By Raquel F |

Funky vibe, nice servers and great food. The menu has great variety and unique twists on the classics. Everything was fresh and delish and beautifully plated. Sorry, no pics, too hungry! Don’t miss the habanero pork belly. Only reason I didn’t give it “5” was because the couple next to us, who arrived after us, and ordered at least 10 minutes after us, got their meals almost 10 minutes before us. Otherwise, a good stop and recommend trying it out.

If you like pork Belly!!

By Serina F |

Enjoyed the Habanero pork belly egg benny. The pork was delicious with just the right amount of flavor. It came with two, and I ordered a side of fruit. My husband had the pineapple upside down pancakes. Usually he would drown it syrup but it had a sweet condensed Milk syrup that made the perfect blend. Highly recommend this place and we would definitely go there again if we are ever in the area again.

Average foods for long waits....

By Tuong Vi N |

We waited 30 minutes for a table which is not a problem. We got seated at a table for 5. Everything was good until we noticed everyone came in after us got food, ate it, and left. We waited for another 30 minutes for our food to arrive after placing an order. We asked what was the problem? We were told *they are prepping and cutting stuff*. Very strange excuse. They could have said short staff or we forgot to put in your order. Vegan/vegetarian options were good compared to other breakfast joints. Regular breakfast items(sausages, pancakes, french toast) was mediocre at best. Had better at Denny or Ihop for regular breakfast items at half the cost. Eggs came out all cooked wrong (we ordered poached and sunny side up). All the eggs came out over cooked. Definitely not worth the wait or cost for mediocre foods. Go eat elsewhere if you plan to eat regular breakfast items.

Great food, service and coffee!

By Sarah |

Was so happy to see Snooze Hillcrest Eatery right across the street from my doc's office after a recent early morning appointment...especially since I had been fasting for blood work! We were surprised at how busy they were for an early morning weekday. We sat outside and were immediately served with coffee which was amazingly good - we're coffee snobs and are often disappointed when ordering it out. Our server, and others we observed, were super friendly and very attentive (without being annoying!) It seems like a little thing, but our server noticed my coffee was low and she brought a fresh hot cup to replace it - instead of just filling it up and without any prompting from me! Hello, this is fantastic service! Tables all have a scannable QR code menus. Our meals - a garden harvest omelet and the Benny Duo - were delicious! Snooze's menu is creative with lots of options and everything is made with quality, responsibly sourced ingredients. The drink menu looked awesome and although we didn't order anything, I love that the bar is open as soon as the restaurant is open:) We will definitely be back!

Breakfast Orgasm

By Globe-Trotting Boys ❤️🌎✈️🏳️‍🌈 |

The Pancake Flight - A must have when you visit. Out of this world flavor definitely pancakes elevated to the next level. My 3 Picks 1) Pineapple Upside Down Pancakes Buttermilk pancakes with caramelized pineapple chunks, housemade vanilla crème anglaise and cinnamon butter 2) Blueberry Danish Pancakes Buttermilk pancakes topped with blueberry coulis, sweet cream and almond streusel surrounding a center of lemony cream cheese filling 3) I forgot what it was but very Oatsy and delicious.

Very good breakfast, memorable coffee

By Paiten M |

My husband and I went to snooze on our last day vacationing in San Diego. It was the furthest walk from where we were staying, and there was always a line when we walked by on other mornings. We were determined to try it though and it definitely worth the wait. The coffee at snooze was by far the best tasting coffee we tried in San Diego! Their menu is a little bit overwhelming, but in a good way because there are soooo many good things you want to try. It all looked and sounded delicious, and I love how they offered a pancake flight (3 different pancake flavors) and a Benny duo, for those who can't decide and want the best of both worlds! My husband got the Corned Beef Hash and I decided to go lighter with an egg white omelet. My omelet was very good and flavorful, and the round potato hash cake that came with it was very good too. Overall, best breakfast we had on our short visit to San Diego.

Good food. Great service!

By Vyktor7 |

You know when you wake up in the morning and expect to have a great day. You expect that everything goes smooth, starting with breakfast? Well, today was one of those days and it started at Snooze. Googled the place, and it had 4+ Stars. I think it should have 5. The young lady greeted us. Took us to our seats. Asked for our drink orders, I said “surprise me”. She did! She then took our food orders and even considered any allergies we may have had. She actually asked us the question. We don’t have any, but the attention to detail was a plus! She was very attentive and nice. Perfect sunny personality for our traveling Monday morning. I recommend this spot. The food was great! But the service was best! I usually don’t give 5 out of 5s. But this place deserves it!

Wonderful Breakfast and Great Bloody Mary's!

By karonohm |

A lot of locally sourced food and great combinations. Fresh flavors, good service and fun atmosphere equals a great way to start the day. The Boss Hog Bloody Mary was wonderful, Bacon infused Elijah Craig Bourbon & there house Bloody mix. Also tried their cold brew coffee ... perfectly done!

Excellent breakfast spot

By ryankehler |

Excellent place for breakfast, with a nice atmosphere indoors and on the street-side patio. Free weekday parking on the street, but only until 10am.

Great Breakfast

By Michael A |

This place has great breakfast. Their pancakes are awesome. Get there early there will be a wait. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Will be back

Gluten free pancakes

By Sunshine S |

I've eaten at both Snooze locations and their location in Austin, TX. Always a long wait. They did offer free coffee and water as we waited. I love that they had breakfast tacos and give you the option to have them in a corn tortilla. We had cinnamon roll gluten free pancakes! They were delicious! Not the best option for big groups as their seating doesn't really accommodate for it.

they do breakfast right

By Cindy J |

The staff are super and know the menu very well. The breakfast bacon eggs toast home fries are yum and i love the have a homemade locally made jam so good just not impressed with the coffee but you can have fresh squeezed orange juice

Yummy breakfast and friendly staff

By Clemith W |

The staff truly makes you feel warm and welcome! They are very personable and the food is delicious! I will definitely visit other locations.

Great food!

By MollyKH |

Snooze is one of our favorite places to eat in San Diego! The menu offers many delicious choices and the service is great. Lines tend to be long but the wait is worth it!

Great Breakfast place!

By Darryl B |

Place was off the hook. Have to try the OMG French Toast! Menu provided a variety of specialties, we also ordered the Bene duo if you can't decide which eggs benedict to choose from,we want to especially thank the newly married couple that we met and sat next to who anonymously paid for our breakfast! We never got your names! We can't thank you enough, that was so kind! It really made our weekend.😊 We wish both of you a great marriage also. Congratulations and God bless you both!

Very good!!

By Alison George |

The service was great and so was the atmosphere. My 13 year old and 9 year old daughter both having wheat allergies along with me they have plenty of gluten free options. Along with vegetarian and vegan options. With amazing and very nice i would recommend this to anyone.

Wife says it’s the BEST BREAKFAST she’s ever had!

By DJSparks45 |

My wife and I went here for breakfast this morning. We both got eggs Benedict she got a traditional and an Italian style. Cibata bread with prosciutto and a balsamic glaze I also got this one and a Chile verde version. Homemade corn tortillas for the base it was amazing. We both chose to get a fresh fruit bowl instead of hash browns. The fruit was great. They also had great coffee. Loved this place and can’t wait to go back!!!

Fun, and yum

By Wendy L |

We weren’t looking, but stumbled into Snooze. What a fun place for brunch. The place was a good size with inside and outside seating. It had a really fun energy and vibe. I ordered two varieties of eggs Benedict they both were exceptionally good. The service was good. Prices a little higher than average for breakfast, but the establishment was a little higher than average so we didn’t mind.

Business Breakfast

By iCritic |

A fun place for a business meeting until it gets crazy busy. Great food, particularly liked the smashed avocado Benedict. The coffee is good, service is extremely friendly and accommodating. Love their pancakes, but they are unfortunately too much for a single person - unless your carbo loading for a marathon, but they are great to share. Snooze has invested in a creative menu, environment and clearly good training for their staff. Super happy for their success and growth.

Fun Place, Food Wasn't Super Memorable Though

By The_Sharks88 |

We aren't sure if they accept reservations, but you definitely want to get there early. The wait was pretty lengthy, but you can put your name on two wait lists and that helps get you seated faster. There is a bar area where you can order drinks and they have 'perch' standing areas for sipping drinks while you wait. You can also choose to sit at the bar and that helps reduce wait time as well. The food was tasty, though not super memorable. The place itself was much more exciting. Good experience overall... just be prepared to spend quite a bit of time there.

If you like breakfast, go here!

By scotttevans |

This place is open early in the morning and I think they close by 1300. I had "the flight" which included your choice of 3 pancakes (I had 2 blueberry and 1 Hawaiian) and 3 sausage links. Service is really good here, they come by often, but not too often. Parking is a big hassle here, since the restaurant is on a busy street with many stores and restaurants on that street. So good luck if you get there after 0800, because parking is bad and you will have to wait a long time because they will be very busy.

Awesome breakfast

By SJWilliams |

Was looking for a breakfast place on my only morning in San Diego and came across Snooze. it was sooo good. When we arrived the line was spilling out onto the sidewalk so my friend got in line while I parked. She was able to get a seat in the bar area with no wait. I started with a Bangkok Bloody Mary - I was skeptical about the inclusion of fish sauce but it was great. I had the shrimp and grits and my friend had a pancake flight with pumpkin, blueberry danish and a chocolate peanut butter (I think....). Both items were really good. The coffee was good and the service was really attentive and friendly.

Terrible Breakfast Experience

By gypsyuno |

We drove to a restaurant called Snooze near Balboa Park for breakfast. Selected it from TA reviews (#5 for breakfast as of this writing). Horrible experience. First of all we could not find parking on the street; after circling three times and nearly giving up we stumbled on a public parking lot a block away at $7 per hour. The restaurant was packed and horribly noisy; looking back on it we should have left. Had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. Asked the server to see if the music could be turned down; apparently, he never did. Then asked a manager; she said she would…but didn’t. Not only loud but loud techno…. for breakfast? My wife had the classic with two eggs scrambled, bacon, hash browns and an English muffin. The bacon was great, the hash browns not – not crispy. I had the breakfast tacos with added sausage. Good but not great. We got out of there as fast as possible. Never again.

Wonderful Breakfast

By RxDive |

So good, we went two days in a row! Excellent pancakes and eggs benedict! Several variations. Highly rated in local magazine so we gave it a try. Short wait to get in but well worth it. Wait staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely will recommend to friends and family.

Favorite breakfast in San Diego

By Mark B |

Wow. Every bite was amazing. Our server Taylor took care of us with a smile and the food did not disappoint. Every bite was heaven. Huevos Rancheros was spot on and the Benedict were cooked to perfection. All that and Taylor brought us something sweet, a single cinnamon roll pancake that was just the perfect end. Couldn't have been better. Since its Sunday we did have to wait about 20 min for a table but man it was worth it. 100% recommended.

Not as good as hoped

By Tim H |

Long wait for a decent breakfast. Unfortunately not in a fun neighborhood so no shopping while we waited. Restaurant itself was very cool and service was good but food was not memorable. It wasn’t bad, just nothing that special. Bloody Mary was great though.

Delicious

By Tavias B |

I went Wednesday morning early and there was no wait. The server was delightful and my food came out in ten minutes. The service was excellent and I would come back again.

Fantastic Breakfast

By MatthewJPeacock |

First time for us at Snooze. The place was busy with about 50 people waiting for a table. We went to the bar and were able to order from the menu there so we didn’t have to wait. The food and Bloody Marys were delicious. The service was excellent. Please give this review and photos a helpful vote.

Wonderful breakfast ! Snooze is a great AM place to eat and a San Diego favorite. One of those local jewels.

Awesome breakfast place !

By Rosa H |

Love the food: traditional breakfast items with a twist that takes it to the next level. Their staff is absolutely the best: they are consistently professional, friendly, helpful & kind. The manager Gustavo is the best!

Not worth the wait

By lawnbird |

It's a cool hipster 60's style restaurant/cafe, and they go for a relaxed atmosphere, but we waited a hour to get a table, and the food was very underwhelming.

SUPER!!

By MarineAir10 |

This is a great breakfast stop. Both seating and service was fast and friendly. The wide menu selection provided options for everyone in our group including the smaller grandkids. Highly recommended.

Amazing!

By branson88123 |

Found this place through Tripadvisor and thought we would give it a go on our holiday to SD from the U.K. My god we weren’t disappointed! The food was incredible, we had the OMG French toast and turned out to be the best we had ever had in America! I also had the breakfast tacos with 3 different meats which were awesome! If your in San Diego this is a must! There is parking across the street and the wait wasn’t too bad and defiantly worth it!!

Fantastic breakfasts...

By RicDic |

I had the Benny Duo, which allowed me to chose two half orders of their 6 different eggs benedict choices. The bella bella was good, but a tad too salty for my liking, however the chili verde choice with barbacoa beef was excellent and would have it again. House coffee too acidy for me. Partner had blueberry danish pancakes was like dessert, so good. A fellow diner had ordered the breakfast pot pie, rosemary sausage gravy atop puff pastry...and he raved about it...hmmmm, now I know what I want to try next.

Great breakfast

By Globetrotter4456 |

The breakfast is excellent and Snooze. Mwah choices are pleabty for the foodie. A must try for a great breakfast experience. The retro decor creates a comfortable atmosphere. Lots of Gluten free choices.

Wonderful Twists on Traditional Breakfast Fare

By ktpham |

While we are not usually a fan of breakfast places, this restaurant is definitely an exception and now we are huge fans! At our table we had the Breakfast Pot Pie, the Benny Duo, a Breakfast Burrito, and a flight of pancakes. All of them were fantastic. If you have to choose go for the pancakes, because if you thought that there isn’t much to be done to make pancakes more creative and into an experience rather than a simple childhood Saturday breakfast, you’d be wrong. The pineapple upside down pancakes are not to be missed.

High quality meal

By Mikel M |

Food was excellent quality and tasted great. Had the corned beef hash. It was home made also the toast was great to. The service was good and on time. Can't say anything good about the manager / host. A lady who was buy herself and holding a infant came to the restaurant and although just standing there he didn't open the door. Shockingly poor etiquette.

Nice place, good food

By Ryan L |

My wife and I ate at snooze our second day in San Diego. The atmosphere is somewhat eclectic. He wait staff was friendly and attentive, but not excellent. The restaurant has great alcoholic options for breakfast (unique coffees with bourbon, etc and Bloody Mary’s). The pancakes, which my wife had, were fantastic. I opted for the hash and eggs, which was good. Very good coffee.

Delicious!

By This Ole Mama |

We came on a Tuesday morning for breakfast with the family before we heading to the Midway Museum and it did not disappoint! We were seated right away and our waitress was really helpful with suggestions. You can do half orders, which means we were able satisfy our sweet and savory cravings. We ordered: coconut vanilla with pineapple brûlée (pancake of the day) with the breakfast pot pie, cinnamon roll pancake (not on the menu) with a classic egg Benedict, and OMG French toast with lox’s and benny. We loved everything, but agreed that the French toast was the best.

Disappointed

By Kaycurrywilson |

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat when we visited San Diego. It was always crowded and you had to wait to get a table. Today there was practically no one here. We were the only ones on the patio. And the food was not good. I will be looking for another place for breakfast. So disappointed!

It's the food and music!

By Terry J'· |

A great breakfast/brunch spot! The food was absolutely delicious. The entire wait staff was friendly and professional. I love it's energy with great music as your background.

Sunda Brunch with our Daughter

By P7288ZNrussells |

We sat outside, it was cold!! But our waitress brought blankets to wrap ourselves in. My pot of Mint Hot Tea hit the spot while we waited for our food. I ordered the Omelette, and I got to order what I wanted. Bacon, Sausage and Cheddar Cheese with home style potatoes and tortillas. Big ole omelette with lots of BSC!! Our waitress was so good we were served a complimentary pancake with lots of cinnamon, some coconut and a sugar sauce. Wouldn't get it myself, but fun to try. Lots of 20's and 30's age people there.

Great brunch and service

By Ali Van D |

We had been to Snooze in Denver, so we already knew the food would be great, but the service was also good at this location. Excellent breakfast, mid-level prices, and attractive space make this a worthwhile spot to stop.

Great breakfast

By DerD |

This little cafe has a great menu for breakfast and the peach pancakes are delicious. The have a fantastic selection of pancakes and the rest of the line-up is very tasty. The corn beef hash is homemade and not from a can that many others claim is homemade. Great coffee and they have small mugs with fresh coffee for you to use while your waiting for your table. The place will get crowded, always a good sign, so be prepared to wait at prime times in the morning but it it well worth the wait.

Delicious!

By Cappie G |

I had brunch with my son, who was visiting for the day, and the food was amazing. We shared two dishes: The Quinoa Benedict and the Cornbeef Hash. The Hash was good but the Benedict was over the top the best I've ever had.

Delightful Pancakes. Terrible Hash

By AJ |

If you're in the San Diego area and in the mood for breakfast, Snooze an A.M. Eatery is a great option. Depending on the time of day you arrive, there may not be as much street parking, but there is plenty of ramp parking. Large garage door-style windows that seem to be able to be opened on brighter days give the space a feeling of openness and airiness. While you can definitely skip the corned beef hash, the pancakes with real maple syrup and lots of butter are fantastic. The wait staff was also excellent and had many great suggestions that can accommodate any appetite.

Favorite Breakfast Spot

By AlanaHurt |

This is my favorite breakfast spot in San Diego. They have good food, great staff, and even better music. It is a high energy, jumping breakfast watery with a great vibe. I have tried the OMG French Toast and it is delicious. Here’s what I like about his place they will make your meal to your liking. They make my hash browns crispy with carmelized onions just like I like them. Here are the two things I don’t like: it’s very crowded, and there are sometimes long waits. If you have a small party you can sit at the bar. You have to check-in but typically get seated much sooner. The servers at the bar are excellent! The other thing I don’t like is that they don’t believe in straws. They feel they are bad for the environment. You can only get a straw if you are a kid. Otherwise, you’re out of luck. Love this place. Have waited up to :45. Worth it.

Great breakfast place

By jer b |

Always packed and for good reasons, Snooze delivers great breakfast/brunch food until 2:30 pm. Lots of choices: Benedict’s, pancakes, sandwiches, frittatas, and more. I chose the French toast and it was made with brioche and delicious. Great selection of coffee and tea. Super friendly staff. Great place to have a meal. Worth the wait if there is one.

Awesome

My family and I stumbled upon this place, nd absolutely loved it. Unique twists on traditional breakfast dishes and some of the old stand bys. High quality ingredients and excellent service. Would highly recommend

Go during the week unless you want to wait three hours (no joke)

By PDX-to-CDG |

So, it's Sunday around noon and I know there's going to be a wait. I signed into the online waitlist before we left the hotel and thought it must be broken as it was giving me a wait time of three hours. We drive over and look for parking, which is a big pain in that area, and check in with the host (45 minutes had gone by). He said he "might" be able to get us seated in 1.5-2 hours. I was floored! I mean, I'm from Portland, Oregon, the land of the endless brunch line, but in no way was I prepared for this. So, we left to scout out different options, kind of upset that we had wasted $ on parking for that area. After already finding somewhere else to eat, about 30 minutes later, I got a text from Snooze saying that our table was ready?!? Super annoying since if we would have known it was only going to be another 30 minutes, instead of the 2 hours quoted, we would have stuck around and waited. We ended up going to Snooze the next day, Monday morning, and although there was still a little bit of a wait, it was only 20 minutes or so. The food is sooooo good! I was super excited to eat at Snooze again after having first tried it in Colorado. Their bennys are to die for! I will still eat at Snooze any chance I get (and WISH there was a location or two in Portland), but will just make sure to do so during the week only!

Breakfast x2

By AQflyer |

We have enjoyed Snooze San Diego. Very friendly staff. Good food & drink... we will return when ever we visit. Jack Benny was tasty. Breakfast burrito was great and improved by adding bacon. Pumpkin pancakes were the hit of this trip.. Of course the Bloody Mary with bacon is always welcome

Food is good

By Britney M |

I absolutely love the food here. The service is hit or miss and seems like the hostess always has an attitude. Get the pancake trio you won’t be disappointed.

Food was wonderful, coffee - not so much

By Symona |

The staff was extremely warm and welcoming. We used Waitlist to reserve our seat so it wasn’t too painful. My servings were small - but delicious!! Don’t order the coffee. Totally a waste. As a Seattlelite I was disappointed.

Good Breakfast

By seanhughley |

We ate here twice on a weeklong vacation, so that tells you something. If you like French toast like I do, this is the place for you. You can get a “flight” of French toast to try the different options. Fun place.

Perfect, delivious and the bacon is👌👌👌

Pancake Day

By vagabondginger |

Known as Shrove Tuesday in the U.K. Pancake Day is the feast day before the start of Lent on Ash Wednesday. Last year I celebrated it more as our Fat Tuesday by going out to Louisiana Purchase to celebrate Mardi Gras. But this year I wanted pancakes and Snooze perfectly fit the bill for this. I got the 3 Pancake Flight made up of a Pineapple Upside Down buttermilk with caramelized pineapple , creme drizzle and cinnamon butter, the Blueberry Danish with a lemon cream cheese filling & lemony blueberry sauce with almond streusel and their signature Sweet Potato pancake topped with caramel, candied pecans & ginger butter. Gourmet pancakes to say the least and all were delicious. Their menu is extensive and creative and it is not your ordinary breakfast or brunch. I considered the mimosa but decided on a Bacon Bloody instead. Their outdoor seating has been bumped out beyond the sidewalk but there is a wait so it takes planning to go. Best to go online to get on the wait list and don't just show up and expect to be seated. This is a very popular place but because I live in the area I did not have to consider parking. If you Snooze you won't lose with all the good food and drink choices here. Enjoy.

YUMMO

By NellieOD |

Our family of 3 (new Englanders) found this place in trip advisor. Let’s just say awesome! Food and coffee were great. Neat French toast, ham Benny and blueberry pancakes an explosion in your mouth. Only negative was they could dial down the music a tad. Place gets busy fast but they are quick to get people served. I would tell the owner add portugueses chouriço to your menu from Massachusetts. 👍🏻Ask for Tink she was superb

Great breakfast/lunch spot.

By cbuntin |

Visiting San Diego for the weekend and found this gem of a spot for Lunch. We were told the wait would be an hour and fifteen and is was only 45 minutes. We had a party of 4 and sat in a round booth that was fun to interact. Waiter was J-Daddy and he was fantastic. Great food and fun atmosphere.

Love this place, everything is good here. If your not an egg fan you know how challenging it can be to find the right place for breakfast. This place will give you plenty of options.

Great menu for breakfast

By Justin P |

We came here on a recommendation from a chef we know who had been here before. It was out of our way but we came to check it out. We ate breakfast and their menu is great, lots of options for Eggs Benedict and other creative meals. The food was great and we got to sit outside in the sun which was nice. Lots of ambulances go by due to the hospital a block away. Our service was average, I think it's because we were the only table outside and were tucked away and forgotten about. It took a long time for food to come out and refills on drinks when asked. The server was very nice and a great guy, even bringing us an extra pancake at the end on the house. Overall a great experience and would come back if in the area.

I was very impressed by this restaurant. The menu is very extensive. We had 4 dishes and everything was delicious. Definitely going back again!

Incredible food!

By Shyma13 |

Not only is the food AMAZING, but this place absolutely adorable, prices are reasonable and the servers are friendly. I recommend going with a group so you can taste a bit of everything! I had breakfast tacos and a flight of pancakes (blueberry danish pancake you are my new favorite thing!) and they were both delicious. So good I’m fact I ended up eating both and struggled getting out of my seat afterwards! Highly recommended for solo, couple, friends or family outing!

Eggs:Perfection; Bacon:STELLAR! OMG French Toast a must!

By Northfielder2 |

Snooze has a Fair amount of Fairy Dust sprinkled throughout. From the lovely, calming waitstaff person with a genuine, caring smile, to the soaring ceiling and skylights to show off another not a cloud in the sky San Diego day, you will find true breakfast nirvana here. The raw food just is of such great quality to begin with, and every bite cooked just gets better with good seasonings and creative flavor pairings. I can attest to having sampled the Mexican fare, which was fresh and satisfying, as is the various chorizo, sausage, pulled pork meats! This visit I went for basic eggs, bacon, and the OMG French Toast! I had not done that route before because I am SUPER picky about my eggs and bacon, but Snooze hit it out of the park! So very delicious!! The eggs were creamy, fluffy yumminess without a speck of brown. The bacon was a farm fresh rash of bursting flavor without any greasiness or chewy fat to battle through! I went on and splurged onThe French Toast and it was delectable! However, as rich and yet light tasting as it is, you would be best to share it for max enjoyment! ~Like order it as your breakfast dessert after your regular entree!! I will warn that Snooze beautiful restaurant is only partially open due to lack of sufficient workers, so there is limited seating, BUT PLEASE DO GO! It is SO worth your time, just plan accordingly for the wait time. You can submit your phone# online to Snooze, who will add you to waitlist as you head over, and also inform you of wait time, at which point you can decide if you are really able to wait for seating or not. You can cancel your online wait placement, or continue there! Make sure to STILL check in so they know ALL of your party is really there so you remain in seating queue! ENJOY!!

Brilliant breakfast/brunch

By Kerry W |

What an amazing breakfast. Superb breakfast in a chilles setting. Finally, a cup of tea I enjoyed (being british we have struggled to find a good cuppa!). We had a mix of savoury and sweet items. Portion sizes were fantastic - not intimidating but none the less filling. Wish we would have discovered this place earlier in our trip. Pancakes were beautiful, cinammon pancake won on taste :) go there, its worth the wait! Very helpful servers too :)

French toast a must try

By Elvira C |

The staff was attentive, and the food was delicious. My server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The French toast was particularly tasty. The parking lot across the street made it easy to access the restaurant. I can’t wait to try other dishes when I come back!

Great start in San Diego

By WilsyPV |

In for breakfast while making a quick stop in San Diego. Pubic parking was directly across the street which is a blessing in this parking scarce city. Our waitress was a gem and explained the extensive menu with ease. Great service, good food and a great way to start the day.

Snooze

By kpl200 |

Snooze for breakfast was an excellent choice for starting the day during a trip to San Diego. The food and service were excellent. The manager stopped by, which was nice. We complimented her on the food and service. It's a very busy place, so try to go during the week. We went back on a Saturday, and there was an hour and a half wait. I had their soft pretzel roll with sausage, cheese and egg. I also had the hash browns, which were the best I've ever had. The pineapple cranberry mimosa was very tasty too.

great breakfast

very creative great tasting food excellent staff great high end coffee if in area a must will eat there again

Just average food

By russkwtx |

We had eaten at this restaurant in Denver and Ft. Collins, CO, and did not realize that it was a chain. When we saw it was available in San Diego we were excited. Subsequently, we found out that the Colorado locations where we ate were better. I had the same breakfast pot pie as in Colorado but it was not the same. The pastry was flat instead of more vertical, and the gravy was different, too much rosemary and only one or two pieces of sausage. Very salty, not really very pleasing to be honest. I don't feel it was worth $10.50. The wife had granola and fruit. The granola was in a tiny little saucer with hardly any granola and some yogurt. It came with some fruit but several pieces tasted of mold. She did not like it. For $9.25 it was not worth it at all. Our server, Candy Man, was great, friendly and efficient. I would not return here again, especially considering the long line and wait if you arrive after 8:30am.

Unique food selections!

By Charisma F |

I ordered the chili verde eggs Benedict! It comes with tortilla but I ordered it with the traditional English muffin! It was soo flavorful!I also got the mimosa but with pink lemonade. Can be a bit of a waiter you can go to the bar and the bar tender will seat you!

Great food and service. Outdoor seating is also available. Eggs Benedict is my recommendation. Try the mimosa, too

Stuffed when we lett

By Gus Gustin |

4 of us. 4 different meals. All tasting each others stuff. I had to try the pineapple upside down pancakes - delicious. Wive each had something to do with egg benedicts - Lucky I didn't eat theirs too. Kevin had the breakfast burrito, adding sausage. I cannot believe he ate it all. Man - it was all great.

The birthplace of California

By MrWarrenM |

I heard that Snooze was a San Diego favorite for breakfast. The restaurant is trendy, and I can see why it has so many reviews. I ordered Eggs over easy with Corned Beef Hash and French Toast. My food portion was huge and had a lot of delicious flavors. The service was as great as the food. I found the breakfast prices reasonable. It was definitely worth stopping by.

Late breakfast

By Lynn F |

Went around 11:30, no waiting for a table. Many things to choose from for breakfast, some combination that I have not seen anywhere else. The service was great. A very fun place to eat. Only open for breakfast and lunch

Great food but ususally a wait

Snooze is DELICIOUS! There's yummy food and has a great staff. Highly recommend the Blueberry Danish Pancakes and the breakfast potpie. Serves good brunch drinks also.

Good Food!

By LetsGo2019 |

This was our first visit to Snooze, but won’t be our last. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the architecture, and the check out process. But, of course, the food was the star of the show. French Toast...yummy, my husband had a Benedict, he loved it. The service was great too. We’ll be back!!

Amazing

Excellent place for breakfast. Didn’t promise that much when we stepped inside but it overdelivered. Great service and the variety is amazing. I had the Benny duo and a cortado and they were both great (I’m picky about my coffee).

If you are in the mood for breakfast food during lunch, this is a good option. The service is a little slow but the food is decent.

Excellent breakfast

Stayed in San Diego for a week and patronize Snoozy’s twice. The pork belly with fried rice and over easy egg on top is to die for. Also, the pancakes are awesome along with everything else. The Staff was friendly and very attentive to our needs. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great Breakfast Place!

By Sooz C |

Extensive menu plus they have Vegan items. it was my birthday so I got an OMG french toast with a candle for starters. No better way to start you day than with a dessert like that! We sat at the bar because there was a 35 minute wait for a table and Julie was the best ever. She works Saturday thru Wednesday.

Eggs Benedict at their best

I am always on the hunt for great Eggs Benedict, and Snooze did not disappoint. The eggs were poached perfectly, and the sauce was smooth and flavorful.

We had the best experience! We got in line on yelp and waited about an hour because this place is very popular. It was totally worth the wait. The server Natasha was amazing. She sat down with us and made us feel at home. One of the best servers we've ever had if not the best! The menu is super unique and we wanted to order everything. After we ordered she surprised us with a cinnamon roll pancakes which was to die for! Our food came hot and delicious. We ordered the pancake flight where you can pick three of any flavor pancakes you like. We picked the cinnamon roll the BlackBerry and the chocolate chip. I ordered the Benedict flight where you can pick two flavors of eggs Benedict. I got the chili Quiles and the pesto quinoa. Absolutely Delish

By ImAlwaysAdventuring |

Absolutely Delish!!! Brought my Godmother to have brunch this past Friday morning and we were seated within 5 minutes. I know that the wait can be quite lengthy, so we decided to get there as early as possible. We arrived around 9am. Our server was great, he checked on us without being too pushy. I decided on the OMG French toast w/ a side of bacon and my Godmother had the Pumpkin pancakes. The Pumpkin pancakes were quite large, so make sure you have an appetite! The OMG French toast appeared small, but it was very filling. The French toast was super delicious. The cost was reasonable for the amount of food we got. The parking situation wasn't too bad. There is metered street parking & a garage nearby. It's Hillcrest, so you have to be prepared to circle the block to find a prime spot. Definitely will return!

Pretty good

By AmettOmega |

Pretty good food, nice mimosa. Nothing special, in my opinion, especially for the price. The waiter was really good, attentive but not intrusive. I definitely recommend either reservations (if they take them) or getting there early. By the time we left (about 10am), there was a line/crowd out the door.

Excellent Food, Venue, and Service

By Dale S |

My wife and our friends were very pleasantly surprised, and most pleased, with the food, venue, and service (for breakfast). The food was indeed very tasty and some of the dishes were very imaginative. We liked the bit of an edgy industrial decor, which made the restaurant very open and sunny. We were also very surprised by the number of families with small children.

Wow!

By cindy l |

Brought some family who had never been to San Diego. And Snooze did not disappoint! My BIL is a foodie and an amazing cook and he was impressed by this place. Not only was the food terrific, the service was on point. I hadn’t been here in a while so I’m glad the standards have remained consistent. I highly recommend.

First Time At A Snooze Restaurant (Hillcrest in Downtown San Diego)

By Stewart P |

My Cousin Took Me to this restaurant as I was visiting from out of town. We had breakfast there and the menu did not disappoint with many, many choices. If you can't find something to eat for breakfast here, then it's your fault. I had the French Toast Neat which was fabulous. The server was very pleasant and both my cousin and I had a very good meal and a good time being at Snooze. I would definitely frequent this place again when back in San Diego.

Yummy pancakes, unique hash bowl and well made macchiato in an adorable mini mug.

By claireleefl |

Truly delicious plain buttermilk pancake, lightly sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with a tiny bowl of hot syrup and a little scoop of fresh butter on the side....I also enjoyed the unique sweet potato hash bowl with two eggs as you like on top. I left the exotic pancakes to the children who each had three different flavors, including the special flavor of the day. Our service was attentive and our waiter went out of his way to make it a special meal, including taking a group photo for us. We knew it could be very busy so we left in time to arrive by 8:30 a.m.and got a booth right away. I would not take a family group if I expected it would be super busy, as there is not a good place for a large number of guests to wait.

It's Okay

By Minouski |

I am not really sure why people wait for hours to get into Snooze. The food is typically oily and greasy and cold. Coffee is not that strong, but the waitstaff is really nice ...

Could Not Get Past the Attitude at the Door

By romeboy |

A quiet mid-week morning. The place was half empty and three tables were open outside. I asked the “very friendly” host if we the two of us could sit outside. The host asked me for my phone number. Can we just be seated now since there are tables open I asked. No, there is a 20 minute wait said the “friendly” host. So we left and had lunch a few feet away, sitting outside and enjoying great vegetarian food. The whole time those three empty tables remained open and they were still open after we finished our delicious lunch a few doors down. It was a weird experience very reminiscent of communist Russia or 1970s Eastern Europe. Definitely won’t return.

Nice little breakfast spot.

By Cesar |

Overall it was good. Good food good service. The coffee wasn’t great so I ordered a latte instead. I recommend the pineapple upside down and blueberry pancakes. Also the hash browns.

Sunday Funday Brunchtastic

By The Poetic Traveler |

The wait was about 45 minutes, but we went to a local bar while we waited. Nice neighborhood for a stroll while you wait for your available table text as well. The breakfast tacos were magnificently made and packed a lot of flavor. The pancakes were delicious (even though a side of them was about $9 for 2). The brunch drinks were fantastic (especially the Manhattan themed coffee), the Bloody Mary was pretty good too. Overall, this place is definitely worth it! I recommend that you pay them a visit soon, you won’t be disappointed 🥳

Duo, Duo, Duo!! Delicious

By Scott V |

Thought I knew what I wanted when I walk in the door, traditional scramble and bacon. but then I read “Saber Ber’s and the many other reviews of the Duo Benny. Did the traditional and the Barbacoa chile verde. So glad I did. Delicious!!

Excellent Breakfast

By Cynthia K |

We were looking for a unique place to have a late breakfast / early lunch. This was the place! They have so many different pancakes and it was hard to choose what we wanted. My husband got the stuffed French toast and I had the pineapple upside down pancakes. They were freshly made, had fresh fruit inside, and had special sauces instead of syrup on top. Our waiter was outstanding. After we sat down at his table, he asked us where our home is located. When we told him we were from Pennsylvania, he brought us the complimentary Pancake of the Day - strawberry which was filled with fresh strawberries, had strawberries on top and a delicious vanilla cream on top. There was a short wait time. Service was excellent.

Great breakfast spot from Colorado

By GKK |

Nice place for breakfast in San Diego, upscale, good quality and reasonable. Good for families and a great place just to start the day. Recommended breakfast spot in San Diego.

Cool, casual & airy atmosphere

By BeachCityGirl |

Lots of delectable choices on the menu. Fun staff. There may be a wait, it’s worth it. They have a bar with TVs so sports were on, which added to the fun atmosphere. We ended up sitting at the bar (full menu served) as seats cleared before they called our name.

A fantastic breakfast experience!

By Kathy L |

Parking is always an art but once here, the food delights! From the service to the time to table, our experience was great. The menu has lots of options for vegetarian focused eaters and the portions are spot on.

Slow, but delicious

By Nicoleh |

We were recommended this place by our travel agent and generally really liked it but there were some bumps. Do not come here in a hurry because it just won't happen. We sat for 15 minutes and were never greeted. I finally asked a server walking by if we had one and he ended up becoming our server and was great. We let him know we had a kayaking reservation in an hour so needed to order and pay pretty quickly and he accommodated. Through no fault of his, the food took an extremely long time but luckily we were already paid out so we were on time. I have celiac and felt extremely safe eating here. There were an impressive amount of gluten free options. The tostada is to die for. My poached eggs were overdone; however, the ham on the eggs benedict was heaven. I wish I could have gone back just for that ham. My boyfriend also loved the pancake flight. If you have some time to spare, I definitely recommend.

THIS ONE IS FINE 😊

By Andreas Bayu |

Everything is fire, I ordered 3 Egg Omelet and there’s 3 choices of add ons and cones with hash brown, Egg chilaquiles was good and the pancake is bomb, I still remember the taste on my mouth 🤤 then for the drinks o tried the lavender and watermelon mimosas it was delicious. Monica deserve a raise, she’s amazing server, I love a server that has personality 💯 Verdict: I will comeback 😊

Eat at Snooze Whenever You See One

By Joel R |

My second breakfast at a Snooze location and I love them both. So many great choices on the menu. Our Waffle of The Week was Key Lime Pie, and it should be outlawed. We also had the Joy of being waited on by Dante who was terrific. Just waiting for them to open up in my neighborhood. Pasadena needs a Snooze A.M. Eatery.

Just breakfast

By Sultan A |

Food was not bad nothing special, but to get a table waiting in line for more 45 minutes and to get the order more than a hour.

Overrated

By Chrisbutte |

Just okay. Service was mediocre and the food was nothing exceptional. Prices were fair since and generally how much a meal costs in San Diego, but you can get better food for the same cost or less at a plethora of other spots. Whatever you do, sit inside. We noticed that the people outside get far less attention by the servers than those inside. We waited 10 minutes after sitting down to even be acknowledged by a server who was not even busy. Then he took our order and we didn't see him again until the check. Didn't check up on whether we thought the food was good, check on whether or not we needed more drinks or refills... Nothing. And this is all after we made a reservation specifically for an inside table since, in addition to terrible outside service, you can expect your food to cool off long before you get a chance to finish. This is especially a problem in the cooler months. Overall, wouldn't go back and I don't understand how it's still in business when there are so many better options.

Best pancakes!!!!

By Sutton H |

I came with my family and I ordered eggs, bacon, hash browns, and instead of toast I subbed for a pineapple upside pancake.... and WOW!! Best pancake I have ever had! If I get the chance to go back I will just get pancakes. The other items I got were typical and tasted like any other place, but the pancakes.... 😍

Service is excellent. Expensive for breakfast. Great coffee.

By Cassandra C |

I read great reviews and my husband and I stopped for a mid-morning breakfast. We went on a Tuesday and it was almost packed at 10:30. Parking is awful in Hillcrest (metered), but there is a parking garage across the street. The staff is very friendly and the service was excellent. The coffee is wonderful. I got the OMG French toast and they split it in two so my husband and I could share. It was really good. The breakfast burrito wasn't. It was mostly tortilla with black beans, which have that certain spice that infiltrates a whole meal, hardly any eggs, with some stale white rice with bland hash browns. It was also barely warm. The green salsa good, but didn't make up for the disappointing burrito. Coffee is $3.25 each and our meal for two people was almost $31 bucks. I would try something else if we go again, but the price wasn't worth the two pieces of French toast we shared. It is very clean. I'm giving it a 3 because of price and the burrito, but I'm sure there are other food items that would have made it a 5-star.

Wonderful!!!

We stopped for a quick breakfast on the way to the San Diego Zoo I wish we could have spent more time and relaxed a bit but thankful to our waitress and the chef for getting us in and out quick. The restaurant is spotless, great decor, friendly staff and fantastic food! We enjoyed the OMG French Toast and the Corned Beef Hash. My wife and I shared each which was a wonderful sweet and savory combination. I don't usually order corned beef hash out because it is almost always disappointing. The corned beef hash at Snooze was without a doubt the best I have ever had.

Great breakfast

We've been there few times now and each time we haven't been disappointed. The food is just delicious and the staff super nice and the atmosphere very friendly. The perfect spot for a tasty breakfast / brunch. Our today's waitress was Monica and she was just the sweetest. Love this place and the people who work there. Highly recommended!!!

Great Breakfast!

This is our 2nd time visiting a Snooze location. Our first was in Denver. I have to say this restaurant was actually better than the Denver location which I loved. The menu is huge and the food is delicious! I got the Snooze Breakfast Burrito and it was awesome. Waiter was very friendly and answered all our questions. I wish we had a Snooze in my hometown.

Cute little trendy brunch

Cute little trendy brunch spot. Get there on the earlier side on the weekend if you don’t want to wait. Good menu, fair pricing. We got banana bread french toast and the sweet potato egg bowl.

Delicious food & happy for Cage Free eggs!

First we LOVE that this place uses cage-free eggs, and sustainable local foods. Friendly staff, and best coffee mugs - we purchased one! French toast with Marscapone cream and berries was sooooo good and we also ordered a cuban with runny egg on top and egg cooked just right. If we had extra calories to spare we would have ordered more ;) First time visiting here on our trip to San Diego. Nearby parking lot if you can't find meter parking on street.

Great Breakfast

A nice menu with not necessarily unique combinations but the servings are ample. The flavors are more subtle and nuanced then over powering. Resturant had a good vibe and definately a great choice any morning.

Awesome breakfast

Came here for Sunday breakfast before heading to the zoo. Joined the online waitlist before arriving which was great, as only waited 10 mins for our table when we arrived. Ordered the French toast neat and smashed avocado benny, food was fantastic and waiters were friendly and attentive.

Amazing!!

This place is worth the wait. The Chile verde Benedict is my absolute favorite. I love how you can do half orders and try other things. Justin was our server and he was so kind and helpful, he made our breakfast experience truly unforgettable. The cinnamon roll pancake gluten free was bomb. We enjoyed this place so much we went back the next day. I had the grilled cheese with ham and tomato soup. The soup is the best I’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. This is a must go to place in San Diego, it will not disappoint.

This place is mindblowing

I had the habanero pork belly benny plate and it was so good that my friend said "it tastes like a unicorn jizzed in my mouth." A bit vulgar but really drove the point home. My friends and I ordered all different plates and took bites of each other's food. Literally everything was great. It is my buddy's birthday and the server brought him a french toast with a candle. It was some of the best french toast I've had. I would recommend anybody coming through San Diego eat here for breakfast. The bone broth bloody Mary was great as well.

Amazing Breakfast

Wait for a table for 4 at opening on a Friday took about 1 hour. Service and Food were both excellent. Parking wasn't too bad. There was a spot down the street. All in all, it's a favorite breakfast place for us. Great in Denver as well.

Just made my top 5 of all time breakfasts!!!

OMG OMG, the Chile Verde Benny w/ Barbacoa Beef was DIVINE and one of the best breakfasts I have ever had! First time at Snooze...Friday at 10am waited almost 40 mins, was full but they have a free coffee station on the side, while you wait...had a few cups and got to save the $4 for coffee with breakfast :) We got to sit in one of the circular booths, which for 3 people was spacious and very comfortable. Ordered a Bloody Mary which was fantastic and a perfect complement to my meal! I Got the Chile Verde Benny w/ Barbacoa Beef w/refried black beans instead of hash browns. I exaggerate NOT when I say this dish was HEAVEN...every bite was INSANELY DELICIOUS...had I known, I would have taken a picture! My sis got the Sandwich I Am which was also very very good. The service was excellent and I felt the prices were quite reasonable for the quality of food served at a place like this (you don’t spend that much less at Denny's) I highly recommend Snooze and trying this dish. LOVE!!!

First experienced snooze in 2016 and we had to come back while on vacation. The staff were very helpful and friendly The food is always amazing It’s pretty busy from the time they open and it’s obvious why I’d definitely make this a must stop for a good breakfast. I had the Benny duo- Chile verde and salmon lox. Amazing!! As well as the pancake flight. Choice of three pancake flavors. We had the Pumpkin, peanut butter and chocolate and the sweet potato cakes. They were all very very tasty. Over all we had a great time with friends
