From Tapas to Wine Flights

By Calvin P |

Let's go beyond how elegantly appointed the location is. Let's not even mention the world class wine list. What I love is that I can pretty much close my eyes and drop a finger on anything on the menu and have a delicious meal!

Nice Restaurant with Great food

By dutta2016 |

I have been here 3 times now and every-time i ordered separate items. Tastes are great. Ambiance is also satisfying. Good place for business lunch and family Dinner. Probably little limited in number of choices of food items.

Feta in Fried Green Tomatos was a nice surprise.

By Melissa_615 |

The appetizers were delicious, but I had the braised short ribs and they lacked flavor. My co-worker had the grouper and loved every bite. The calamari was the hit of the night. Great server, and attentive helper people.

Quaint setting, superb service and amazing food!

By KeelinTime |

We were in Atlanta for a concert and chose this restaurant based on the proximity to the Cobb Performing Arts Center, and because of all the reviews we read about it. We were thrilled with our choice and left there very full and happy!! From the moment we walked through the doors, the staff was super friendly and our server, Tiffany, was amazing! We started with cocktails-I had the Cucumber and Ginger Collins-delicious! I highly recommend the calamari appetizer! We went on a Sunday so my husband had the prime rib special, which was a great deal because it comes with a loaded bake potato and chopped salad. Salad was especially delicious! I had the ahi tuna entrée and it was very good. We would definitely go back if in Atlanta again!

Soho

By craned2017 |

A favorite for fine dining or business lunch. Great food and wonderful service. The daily specials tend to really be special. The chocolate bread pudding is incredible.

wonderful dining experience for all of us

By mwhamburger |

the restaurant itself is pretty casual with long tables and comfortable bench seats and/or chairs. The menu choices are terrific and we had: Crab cakes, scallops, apple ravioli (what a flavorful sauce that was in), lettuce wraps, steak fries, chocolate bread pudding (too big for one), chopped salad, etc. The portions are generous, the service attentive and the food was served so quickly that all of us were quite surprised. 7 of us enjoyed our food choices; that's hard to do.

Yum

By ReginiceC |

My friend and I came to SOHO around 3pm and ordered from their mid-day menu. We had the salmon salad, crab cake with slaw, and carrot ginger soup. Everything was delicious. The dressings on both the salad and slaw were tasty and I thoroughly enjoyed the soup and ate a great amount of it though it was my friend's. I'd definitely go to SOHO again to try out the lunch and dinner menu.

Perhaps the best entrees in Vinings!

By Tim B |

Went on a Sunday, very relaxed atmosphere, not crowded, not rushed. The food was wonderful. We started off with a generous portion of steamed mussels, followed by a divine beet salad, and then by a house specialty - elk. It was delicious! For dessert, we enjoyed a variation of another house favorite, bread pudding which was excellent. The house Pinot Noir was a pleasant surprise. Service (Kelly) was off the charts. I would highly recommend Soho to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience in a relaxed, inviting setting.

Great Service

Service was great, nice and attentive. Food was exceptional, all 4 of us loved our meals. Ample parking, outside patio, quaint bar. Loved it

Birthday dinner

By Jim_In_ATL |

This place is awesome. Exceptional staff, great food, fun atmosphere. Came here in a recent Saturday for a birthday dinner, table of 4, appetizers, soups, salads, entrees and desserts, and everything was outstanding.

Cobia was amazing!

By Kankead8 |

I stopped in with a friend and decided to eat instead of just having drink; cheese plate and the wait staff was just okay. My friend had the Elk, which he liked, and I had the Cobia with green beans...it was perfect! Wine selection and drinks were very good, but this may have been the best fish I've had in Atlanta! I am afraid to go back because I don't want to be disappointed next time. The green beans were pretty impressive too! Texture and the seasoning was wonderful.

the service/wait staff was wonderful as well as the food...loved the artwork, too! Will go back soon!!

Great Salad and intimate dining for lunch

By cline16872016 |

This is a favorite of my work department. The salads are massive and well crafted, the entrees are unique and well done, and the menu has something for even the most timid guests. I recommend the Noodle bowl, Grilled Chicken Salad, or Mahi Mahi Tacos, although it's hard to go wrong with anything. Be sure to finish your meal with a cappuccino, they make them well.

Tapas Wine flights and More!

By Calvin P |

The atmosphere is great! The service is excellent! We tend gravitate to the Tapas menu (which changes nightly) and the wine flights but anything on the menu is delicious and expertly prepared.

Quaint restaurant with excellent food and service

By darinsc |

We had a large business dinner here and found the service exceptional! The group had a variety of different entrees and everyone was pleased with what they got. If you're in the area, put this on your must-go-to list!

Awesome food

By Uwe N |

Our friends invited us for a dinner at this place. All of our dishes were all excellent, from sea bass to tuna to scallops. Even though some of the portions were a little bit tiny. Great also the calamari appetizer. Prices are not cheap, but reasonable.

Excellent prime rib

By StevenHScher |

We went on Sunday when they have the prime rib special ($30), for a 12 oz. Prime rib, loaded baked potato & a small chopped salad. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. My wife had the shrimp linguini ($22), which was loaded with shrimp & delicious. Our friend had the special sweet potato soup ($4.50) & a crab cake appetizer ($13.50). They were both delicious. We all shared the bread pudding with ice cream ($6.75). Our server AJ was excellent. It was a great meal.

SOHO Average Service !

By Ralph M |

An upscale restaurant in an upscale neighborhood. My wife and I had our valentines dinner well in advance on Saturday 11th. The place was busy and noisy and we actually couldn't have a descent romantic conversation with her due to the noise levels. The staff were too busy to provide personalized service, the tuna tartar, calamari was great so was the crab cake as our appetizers. As main course we had steak frites with buttered mash potato, a meal not worth your 23usd especially the portion size and with no vegetables. The soho burger was nothing extraordinaire! The fries were awful too crunchy and some black. The bread pudding dessert salvaged our dinner. It was amazing! We tipped heavily for a service and meals not worth our hard work, time and money.

Excellent food in delightful casual atmosphere

By Thornton C |

My wife and I go to Atlanta often and check out many of the top restaurants. Soho, located northeast of downtown near the far western end of West Paces Ferry Road at the main intersection in Vinings has provided many excellent meals while being much less expensive than most of similar quality. Our last time there the three of us had lots of drinks and wine, apetizers, entrees and desert for $187

THEY TREAT YOU RIGHT !

By RWinzie |

I live near VININGS .. It is a good place to get a drink at the bar. I often get a bite for dinner as well. Tonight I had the crab cakes. They were good. I had an unoaked Chardonnay to go with it... Very nice! Each week they feature special wines. TIP : Get on their email list ... Sunday specials and birthday treat !!!

A wonderful Saturday Night Dinner

By DrT4709 |

I ordered the Tai Grilled Chicken Lettuce Wrap. Excellent & Filling. Next was Sea Bass on sautéed Spinach instead of rice 🌾. WONDERFUL, but wished it was a bit larger. Others at our table had crab cake & Ahi Tuna and all heads nodded Yes, Yes. All had a good time and left full.

Fri night quick dinner

By d3chin |

My wife picked it out and it was tasty and the service was very attentive the burger was fresh with hand cut fries my wife had the cobia which she loved. Soho lived up to all the good reviews. We will go back

Great Food!

By tripturner2 |

SoHo has been a favorite of mine for a long time. The food is always good, and they have interesting art work displayed. Nice atmosphere for either dinner or lunch.

Great food and service

By Steve A |

Amazing flavors. I had a bowl of chili and sea bass with sautéed spinach and risotto. Both were great. Service was outstanding.

Perfect holiday dinner for team

By Piperatlanta |

Planned a team dinner and they took reservations which was a plus. They welcomed us and took care of us. The server was very friendly. Wished we’d see her more but the service was good. The food was delicious, apple ravioli was so good my coworker went back the next day for lunch to order it again. The flight of wine was fun and very delish! It was the perfect place for a holiday dinner. Thanks for the perfect place!

Good food, disappointing wine list

By Chris P |

This is one of our favotire spots in the Atlanta Vinings area. Menu has a good deal of variety and the prices are in line. The big disappointment was the wine list. While they have a fairly decent selection, the prices were on the high side. Selection and pricing could both stand some improvement. No knocks on the kitchen however, the food is good and the service was superior.

Excellent Food and Service

By Amy77509 |

Eclectic menu, local flair and care combined with attentive service make for an enjoyable meal. Calamari is a must!

Great birthday celebration

By StevenHScher |

We celebrated my son's birthday. There were six of us. The food was excellent. I had the sea bass served over purplexrice & baby bok choy. It was absolutely delicious. My wife had the crab cakes which were also fantastic. We brought a birthday cake & they took it into the kitchen & cut it up & served it to us. Our server Dan was good but disappeared for long periods of time. The food was slow coming out of the kitchen. Overall it was a great birthday celebration.

Delightful menu, food and service

By OneHappyFamily1 |

Brought another couple with us to Vinings to dine at Soho. Hard to narrow down our order - so many appealing options. Flexible in substitutions - I wanted the Scottish salmon but was drawn to the "set up" for the special of the evening - they made it happen! Jennifer was our server and was incredible knowledgeable and patient when ordering and attentive to our party while we were eating. I can not say enough about Jennifer - after we were served, she immediately noticed an error and took the initiative to quickly fix the problem with charm and professionalism. The noise level is just right for comfortable conversations. Our friends from Buckhead were so pleased over the menu selections and prices that they remarked that they would be coming back. A lovely evening dining out with friends made all the more special with the attentive service.

Not what is normal

By Todd P |

Tuna tartar app was overwhelmingly blasted with onion and Plabano peppers and salt Elk tenderloin was not what I expected. And a bit dry. Which could have been my own fault Wife’s scallops were good. Service was and has always been good. Just not to happy with meal last evening

Very disappointed

By AnnaKGA |

Went to Soho for a celebration dinner. Service was good, restaurant is very nice, but food was very disappointing. Appetizers: mussels were actually very good, but calamari was more than just a little rubbery. And, the sauce was too thick and too sweet. Entrees: ravioli was good, crab cakes were tasteless, flatiron steak tacos were dry and not better than you can get at your average Mexican restaurant. Desert: peach sorbet and creme brulee - both were good, but just good - nothing special. I was expecting a nice meal, but was really disappointed in the quality of the food.

Excellent food and service

By whalewatchergirl |

Went to dinner here before the opera. All the food was outstanding, and the service excellent. Will definitely go back! Crab cakes were superb. My Sea Bass was very tasty and my husband's Eggplant Lasagne didn't have a bite left. Chocolate Bread Pudding was indistinguishable as anything bread, but very delicious!

Great Place for Lunch or Dinner

By Kenneth D |

We have had numerous lunches and dinners at this restaurant over the years and have never been disappointed. They have a wide variety menu, great wine/liquor options, and great service. Atmosphere is very comfortable, and convenient location in Vinings Jubilee Shopping Center with ample parking near the restaurant.

Soho was So So

By dotters |

After a great dinner a few weeks ago for Cobb Restaurant Week, we were anxious to go back. Well, it wasn't worth it. We were put in the outer room - not as nice as the inner lounge. After a few moments, a very LOUD family was placed RIGHT next to us. We heard all about their life - loudly. We couldn't understand why they were there since about seven other tables in this room were empty. And, the other room had lots more availability (which is much nicer) as well. So we hardly heard our own conversation... And, the windows were open and cigarette smoke from outside came in. Our short ribs were good, but not fab. The calamari was okay too. The creme brulee was very good, but the sorbet was no different than something from a Publix carton. The service was pretty good. We were almost embarrassed that we recommended the restaurant. Will we go again? Not too sure. When you are seated poorly, it ruins a so-so dinner.

Fabulous, need I say more

By Lorrie K |

Went to Soho for dinner this evening with some colleagues. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service attentive, and the food was out of this world! Highly recommend stopping in for a meal if you are in the Atlanta area.

Excellent choice in Vinings

By Elise_NC |

We had a work function at SoHo. We were in a private room and had menu options. Service was great. I wish I had read the trip advisor reviews before we went there...I would have had the calamari. But I started with fried green tomatoes. I enjoyed beef tenderloins for my main course. I went with the belgian waffle dessert, but my colleagues raved about their chocolate bread pudding, which was the way to go. I liked the atmosphere. Seems like a lot of locals go here, so they are on to something. Enjoy.

Ok food, great ambience

By kruuth |

Went here for our anniversary. The food is an eclectic mix, and I have no complaints on the filet mignon, and the salmon is acceptable. The calamari is the same fare you see at dozens of other places. It's got a good spicy sauce that elevates it above meh to a little more. Overall, the food could be better, at least larger portions would be better. What elevates it is the ambience. This place is great. The waitress was fantastic, the service was great, as in nearly no wait for anything. They really care about their customers.

Good food, great service

By Todd C |

We had a lovely dinner at Soho two nights ago and I look forward to returning. The carpaccio and calamari apps were both delicious. I appreciated the fact that the carpaccio was not sliced as thin as gauze as it was possible to actually get a bite of delicious beef with the sauce, cheese and capers that dressed the protein. Others have said it repeatedly here, but the calamari is excellent. The sweet glaze and spicy sauce (and bits of pepper) work well. I will say that a couple pieces were overdone and chewy. I really do not expect that in a restaurant with this kind of rep and these prices. But for the most part the calamari was tender and delicious. The atmosphere confuses me. It may be due to the fact that we were seated in an area that once was probably a patio. But it was carpeted, with an acoustic tile ceiling and walls that really looked like they were enclosing a patio. It was fine, but a little like dining in your neighbor's converted back porch. Our server, Kelly, was perfect. He was attentive, entertaining, knowledgeable and also able to maintain that line so that we could just enjoy the meal and each others company. It's hard to put all of that together at the same time and he did it effortlessly. And toward the end of the meal when my wife was not feeling so well, he quickly and efficiently packed up our leftovers and got us out when we wanted. Mains were the Scottish salmon and the sausage and apple ravioli. The ravioli were delicious and I loved the decadent brown butter sauce. I felt the pasta itself was a bit overdone, but it was still a very good dish. The salmon was very flavorful and well cooked. The sauce was light and a little sweet and brightened up the salmon. But the star of that dish was the dried cherry and pistachio risotto. That was spectacular. Yum. So I would recommend if you go to soho that you sit in the main dining room, ask for Kelly (not sure if you can get both, I'd take the patio with Kelly over the main dining room with a different server), and try that risotto. I will admit i think the prices are a bit higher than the quality of the food. But the food is very good with some shining stars. We had a lovely time.

Wonderful wine taste event

By Vittorioledda |

I'm an italian sommelier just arrived in Atlanta, today my friend said to me "you should go to SoHo restaurant this evening, there is a nice wine taste event". Well the resturant is very cool, the staff is very good and I known Frank, he is really a very nice person and a great wine expert!! I had a very nice evening!! My advice is this, if you are in Atlanta, you should go at Vinings and take a nice evening in this wonderful place with those wonderful people!! I'm sure, you will enjoy your evening!!

Great Lunch Spo

By JChris12013 |

SOHO has a terrific selection of salads and sandwiches that make it a real treat for lunch. Located in the Vinings area of Atlanta in Vinings Jubilee, it is accessible to the north side of the city. Service is superior, staff is friendly, entrees delicious.

Great Anniversary Dinner

By Lindsay H |

We made last minute reservations and had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Soho Vinings. My husband and I started with the Artisan Cheese Plate. Then after finishing the cheese plate, we couldn’t get over a young boy talking at the table by us (was one of the only children in the restaurant). Our server moved us to a more intimate part of the restaurant. It’s not that we mind children, it was that we were kidless for the night and wanted to enjoy our dinner. Our server was completely understanding and rectified the situation immediately. For dinner, my husband had the New York Strip and I had the short ribs. Both were excellent and cooked to order. For dessert we shared the warm chocolate bread pudding which was amazing. When our server brought out our check, he indicated he had removed the cheese plate and bread budding from the check as he heard it was our anniversary. Very nice and unexpected. We will definitely be back.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere

By CUTiger81 |

This was the second time I've visted SoHo. We went for the All American Lobster Boil this past Sunday just to see what it was about. It was some of the best lobster I've had in a long time. And for $29, you can't beat that. The last time I had a meal this good was when I was in Maine and it was definitely more than $29. Even the calamari we had as an appetizer was the best I've ever eaten. The glaze they use on them is amazing. You don't need anything else to dip them in.

No Ho for Soho

By Chorleywood16 |

First time live in area like to support local places. Place OK windows open cool night. Service OK butwaitress forgot one starter. Food very ordinary I can cook better at home. Was sick during the night after only eating half of my food. For the price expensive for ordinary food.

SOHO was just so-so

By Micah C |

This was a special date night to celebrate my wife's birthday. I really like the Vining's area and thought SOHO would be the place to have our night away from the kids. I read several great reviews and the hotel staff raved about it. We arrived and were promptly seated by a very kind lady. Our server greeted us and we ordered some cocktails. We then ordered some amazing appetizers. There was a pork belly special to die for. The cheese plate was fantastic and the tuna tartare was delicious. We ordered a bottle of wine "Beringer Quantum" it was drinking really well. That's where we should have stopped. I ordered the French onion soup and it was not good i'm not sure how to explain it other than it did not sit well with my taste buds. I ordered the NY strip rare and it came out already sliced...not a huge fan of that kind of plate prep but not a big deal. The issue was it was over cooked. You would hope after cooking a steak and slicing it you could tell it was over cooked. I order steaks rare so that if it comes medium rare I'm ok with it. This was a bit closer to medium. Mash potatoes were good but cold. My wife ordered the shrimp pasta and the shrimp were a bit rubbery (over cooked). Besides the soup and the entrées not being up to par I was disappointed with the service. I had expectations of a higher end restaurant service and what I got was something akin to dining at the Cheesecake Factory. Which is a shame because this was a very intimate and beautiful restaurant. The server wasn't bad I think he had a lack of training. He was kind and courteous. He was attentive but may could have been a bit more. Here are some issues we encountered. I typically like to be asked if we would like bottled water before they bring out tap water. This was not the case. When bottle water came out he left the tap water on the table which was getting crowded. I had to ask to have empty dishes removed from our table twice. We received the cheese plate with no description of the different cheeses or what we were looking at. My soup came out without a spoon. They took silverware away and did not replace it. We had to ask for more so we could eat our dinner. I'm sure people spend more than we did but you order cocktails several appetizers and decent bottle of wine and two entrées and I have some expectations that a manager would make rounds to welcome us or make some pleasantries. That did not happen. The wine he brought out was the wrong year but nothing was said about that, i'm assuming he didn't notice. We were comped a dessert and a candle was put on the plate. A warm touch to a rough night. We left underwhelmed. It could have been a great night. Maybe our time was not typical or maybe my expectations were set to high. A few tweaks and it's 4 or 5 start night. I find great service covers food issues. When some food is great and some is far from it and you have par service it made for a frustrating night. My policy for dining out is everyone is guaranteed 20% tip and I don't send food back unless it is totally unedible or not the right dish. If I have a bad experience I don't put it back on the establishment or the server I just take it on the chin and know what to expect should I go back. I do reviews to give praise and hopefully help give constructive criticism. I would hope this was an off night. It was a lovely place with a fun menu and it wasn't overpriced. My expectations were not met and i'll have to give it some time before i'd commit to trying it again.

A gem we just found recently...

By mdjonesaia |

A great local restaurant we just learned about. Excellent food, good wine selections and not too far from the house! Have been multiple times and tried different entrees each time. Menu is diverse enough to go again and again.

Excellent choice for a dinner with friends!

Great eclectic dining

By Beth G |

I travel a lot for business and am always looking for unique, local restaurants. The staff at Hampton Inn recommended Soho in Vinings for dinner. We loved it! The restaurant is a little loud, but the food was excellent and I'll definitely go back! Our server, Daniel, was fun and very attentive.

not so chic

By farzad T |

The food was ok, nothing out of ordinary, but given the location and the prices, I was expecting the chairs and tables to be more of a fine dinning seating. Most of the chairs were so old that the legs would move so much that you will think the chair will collapse. Over priced for the atmosphere and presentation.

Great ambiance

By tomrodw |

Terrific Ahi Tuna over risotto and Sea Bass was enjoyed by my wife. Wonderful Ceaser salad that was crispy and fresh. Nice wine list by glass and bottles. I will visit again on my next trip through Atlanta

Excellent Meal Diminished by Excessive Salt.

By DrT4709 |

The four of us had dinner at Soho last night. We entered hungry with high hopes. I ordered lentil soup followed by shrimp linguini. The meal was certainly tasty but the chef had a very heavy hand with the salt in preparation to the extent that my mouth felt on fire. If I had an oral wound, the meal would have cauterized it completely. We ate on the indoor covered patio. That was nice because the noise level was considerably less than the interior dining. We will go back, but next time I will remember to request minimal salt in preparation.

Super service, super food

By 2Finediners |

My husband and I shared the lettuce salad and the sausage and apple ravioli. We also asked for the bread. The menu states that bread is only served upon request. Everything was excellent! The salad split was a perfect size. The ravioli was very rich and creamy. There were 7 ravioli in the serving. My husband and 4 and I ate 3. It was perfect for us with with bread. It was so very delicious we cleaned our plates with the bread. Our server was outstanding. She was attentive but not hovering. She was very pleasant and gave good explanations of dishes. She could win a contest for best server.

More than charming

By adrienne l |

To start the fabulous evening there is Kelly, the bartender....the most fun, charming and nows.."really how to do it" thank you for such a lovely welcome and you pour the best drinks in town....then the server Chappelle a delight....knew everything thorougly about the menu...sweet personality...ask for her station...and of course there is alway Jeff the most hands on Manager.....fabulous job, all of you....thanks

Consistently Great

By GPSMike |

I live nearby and really like all their meals! I have probably eaten here about 10 times in the past 2 years. It is a small cozy neighborhood upscale restaurant.

Soho could improve

By Paula C |

I really like to frequent locally owned restaurants so even though I had been to Soho a few years ago and didn't recall a great meal, I thought I would try again when a friend invited me to dinner. The restaurant itself just feel dated, the food is nothing special and over-priced. I ordered eggplant lasagna which was lukewarm, not that tasty, and expensive, $17.00 for a bland entree only. The location is great and the restaurant could improve by spiffing up a bit and getting the chef cooking lessons.

Great business dinner

By Tallguyrich |

Met a new client for dinner here, and it was excellent Great atmosphere and ambience And - the manager took good care of our bags. Tasty food made the evening a success !

Group of eight

By Dianne K |

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was great. Everyone got there food at the same time. The salmon was great. The Thai chicken lettuce wrap was delicious. Wine was pricey. We will be back

Good Lunch Spot!

By Jim M |

Had a wonderful lunch. Started with the best Calamari I ever had. it was not chewy and a great Thai and Sweet Chile sauce. Salmon salad was perfectly prepared and very tasty and the Chocolate Bread Pudding was to die for!

Good spot

By ggsandma |

We went for lunch in the week between Christmas and New Year's, so it was very quiet. The food was, for the most part, good. The butternut squash soup was mediocre -- virtually tasteless, but the crab cake sandwich with avocado, the fried chicken sandwich, and the beet and goat cheese salad were good. I highly recommend the chocolate bread pudding dessert, too. Our server, though nice and polite, I think could have been a bit more attentive, but I have no major complaint.

Outstanding food in a great restaurant environment

By j722018 |

The number of high quality options on the menu gave me many delicious options to choose from. If I lived in the area I would be back the next week to try something else! The server was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was romantic and enjoyable for us to catch up with friends!

Nice food and good portion size

By travellerTrader |

Its a nice restaurant. No pre-eating bread though (was that a class distinctzion move?), I could have dinged it for that but the food is really nice and I like it when I am not heaped with massive portion. Family place? maybe not. Friends, business

Best Fusion Restaurant

By Michael M |

My wife and I have eaten here more than any restaurant in metro Atlanta, over 50 times. No need to say more than wonderful food, friendly people and their dinner specials are our favorite although it is an extensive menu.

Too Salty!

By inneryne2016 |

A pleasant looking place with mediocre food and service. We ordered New York Strip which arrived so salted that it tasted preserved. The accompany potatoes came encrusted with salt crystals. The sautéed spinach was not too salty. Unfortunately it consisted mostly of stems! And the service was very spotty.

Mediocre food, just 'ok' service

By Catwoman62 |

A colleague had raved about SoHo, so my team went for lunch today. The hostess was confused about our reservation, then led me into a room and vaguely waved towards the table in the corner before disappearing - not an auspicious start. I began with the chicken tortilla soup - which was odd. The Mexican restaurants do it far better. The broth had an overwhelming lime taste, and the mozzarella cheese they added (!) made the soup difficult to eat because of the stringiness of the melted cheese. I've never had cheese before in chicken tortilla soup. The chicken was very tender. I chose the black-n-bleu grilled chicken sandwich with fries for my entree. The sandwich came on a delicious baguette, but the whole thing was so tall, there was no way I could take a bite, even after attempting to smash it flat. I ended up eating the chicken by itself, and taking the occasional bite of toasted bread on the side. The chicken was nicely grilled, yet moist, with a topping of blue cheese crumbles and diced tomatoes. The fries were good, but could have been a little more crispy. The reaction of others in the group was mixed - the noodle bowl was so hot when it arrived that my colleague couldn't begin eating - but that's ok because it gave him time to fish out the shrimp and remove the tails. The salmon looked good, as did the crab cake/avocado toast. Yet another colleague enjoyed his meatball sub but said it was nothing exciting. Service was friendly. In sum, lunch was 'ok' but there are too many other places in town to settle for 'ok'.

good but not great.

By Erin C |

Just not the same since Joey left... don't get me wrong, i still crave the tortilla soup, but thats about it.

YUMMO!!!

By GaCare |

Four of us went to celebrate 2 of our birthdays! It was great. Our first time there. We got the calamari which just may be the best in Atlanta as well as the tuna appetizer which my husband is still dreaming about today. We each got different entrees and everyone loved it all! The waiter was fabulous. Am definitely going back!! I highly recommend.

Great Atmosphere, Great Service

By kransey . |

I have been here for drinks, tapas, and a full-course meal, and I have never been disappointed. The food never disappoints, and the service is good as well. This is easily becoming one of my favorite places in the metro area.

Girls Night Out

By Lynn J |

It was my girlfriend's 35th birthday and we wanted to try this place since it looked interesting. We were seated immediately, although we were late for our reservations. This was the first thing that put me at ease. Next, iur server came over and he was bubbly along with the manager. We did a quick wine tasting on brands we were not familiar with ultimately settling for the right one. The food was cwry good and I highly recommend the sea bass. Just perfect! My other friend had the scallops which she enjoyed as well and I had the cheese board. It was just ok, but we still had a really great time. Ambiance was pretty good too!

Upscale neighborhood restaurant bar

By tamiennis60 |

Always friendly, good service, a local gathering spot in the Vinings area. Fun to sit at the bar or grab a table. Weekends usually require reservations

Excellent food with a flair

By otistboneunser |

Graduation dinner for seven was above par on all levels especially the food. Service was good but the quality and selection was superb. Price was in the ball park for the area. Waiter was attentive and over all would recommend highly. Favorite dishes were the sea bass and the elk tenderloin. Would love to visit again when in Atlanta

Birthday Dinner

By Amy W |

The food and the service was excellent. We had the Thai Chicken Lettuce Wraps for our appetizers and I had the Pork Chop and my husband had the Braised Short Ribs for our entree. Everything was seasoned to perfection and beautifully plated! The meals came out in a timely manner and our waitress was superb! The portions are a nice size. I had leftovers but my husband cleaned his plate but was also full as a tick. We will definitely return, it was our first visit.

Had a great early dinner (still on mid day menu)

By Frank S |

Had a very early (5pm) New Years Eve dinner here. Wonderful bisque and steak tacos along with calamari as an appetizer. Excellent wine selections as well. Don't miss this gem of a restaurant. THANK YOU TripAdvisor, would never have known about it.

Great meal

We visited and had a great dinner. The weather was rainy and cold outside but the warmth inside was great. The food and service was excellent, recommend highly.

Solid lunch

By David V |

Three strapping-to-portly middle-aged business associates set out to find a better than average lunch. We picked Soho based on Opentable and Tripadvisor reviews and we were not disappointed.First, our server was informed, professional, genial, and attentive. These things are never to be taken for granted and are essential elements for a delightful lunch. I had seen a photo of slow cooked short ribs on their website. I was disappointed to find that they were not on the lunch menu. I mentioned this to the server who acknowledged that, indeed, the short ribs were fantastic but only available for dinner. He would've doubled his - already generous -- tip if he offered to get me an order for lunch. My colleagues enjoyed, respectively, the daily special patty melt sandwich with a side of very slender and delicious asparagus; the Ahi salad which was a generous portion both of the tuna and of the salad, which can't always be said of servings of Ahi and the pulled pork sandwich and a side dish of nutritionally responsible vegetables. I am never nutritionally responsible and I had the Apple and sausage ravioli in cream sauce with a side of sautéed asparagus which came with the requested extra garlic. Extra extra garlic. Absolutely delicious. The bread and butter service was a good crusty French/Italian crossbreed baguette. I had the chocolate bread pudding for dessert. Chocolat-ing bread pudding is, I suppose, a means to get chocolate into dessert which bread pudding lovers are too often denied. I prefer my bread putting on the dryer and substantial side, where this was quite quite moist but very and deliciously chocolatey. Nice surroundings, excellent service and tasty food made for a very successful lunch.

Haven't been here in years and quite surprised!

By dotters |

We decided to go since it was Cobb Restaurant Week. What a great surprise! First of all, it was $25 (many of the restaurants were $35 for 3 courses). We were offered four choices in apps and entrees. Hubby had the calamari and he was very happy (used chop sticks!). I had the shrimp which had some heat, but was quite tasty. There were four very large shrimp and two large pieces of mild garlic bread. (Oh, and we were served bread and butter. Lately, you have to actually PAY for bread - not good! - at lots of places. The bread here was very enjoyable too!) Next, we both had the short ribs. So flavorful and the garlic mashed were great too. We ended with the creme brulee - one of the best I've had in awhile. Crunchy top layer and the vanilla bean taste was great. Overall, would definitely go back. (Can't believe it's been about ten years.) The service was very good as well.

Birthday dinner for my sister

By Jack S |

Wonderful food and great customer service. Varied menu that everyone should be able to find something they like. Our party of six had five different items from the menu each of us enjoyed our selection. Beautiful decor and very clean establishment. Do yourself a favor and stop by sometime.

Meeting old friends

By Dianne K |

We had a great meal. The women had calamari, mussels and crab cakes for our entrees. The mussels were a little small but delicious. The calamari was a large portion and was fabulous . The men had the salmon that was blackened Very good. We had not been to soho on years and it was a great.we will be back. It was pricey.

Wonderful Service and Food To Match!

By VickiAtl |

I recently had dinner at Soho, which is in Vinings proper. We often happy hour but I had never eaten a meal there but rather stuck with Cheese Plates with cocktails. We had a customer in town and had not made prior reservations so we decided to have dinner at Soho after happy hour. I will say the menu is not huge, but interesting. We began with the Lettuce Wraps. There were 3 servings which was perfect since we were a party of 3. The portion was generous and just enough to not spoil our appetites. I chose the Bacon Burger which was cooked perfectly and instead of fries opted for the Spinach! The spinach side dish was wonderful - garlicky and buttery and yummy! The other two diners had a wait staff suggested bone in pork chop which was huge and enjoyed by our customer. My partner had the Cohia fish, which we weren't familiar with but it was yummy and cooked perfectly as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to locals or business travelers or even a couple looking for an intimate dining experience.

Amazing Wine Flights and Tapas on Wednesdays!

By Karen B |

Found this on google searching for wine tasting in Atlanta. It is not on the Marta or Bus line so found an uber app and promo code on google, so a $19.12 uber was no cost from Medical Center Marta stop with a $20.00 on line coupon "uberblizzard". I was interested in Spanish wines as we are backpacking the Camino in Spain in Sept.! I was offered patio or inside seating, so took the patio. I was brought a placemat describing the 3-3oz wine flights: Peza do Rei Mencia 2011, Bodegas Castano Solanera 2012 and Altos Ibericos Crianza, 2010. Below were the tapa pairings: Grilled SeakPaillard, bell peppers, Garlic, Onion Strings for the Peza, Burgundy Briased Rabbit, msuhrooms, Olives, Tomatoes for the Bodegas and Roasted /venison, sunchoke puree, bacon and Onion Jam. I had all 3 wines ($14.25) and all 3 tapas ($18.00). Everything was delicious! Josh was my waiter. He was very attentive. I had asked if anyone had an Android charger as my battery was waning. His manager brought his cord out so I could use LYFT to get back to the hotel. For signing up with the LYFT app I was given one free ride, back to the hotel! I would highly recommend this restaurant,l especially on Wed: Wine Flight Night! I am told the wine/tapas change each week! The gluten free items are marked on the menu!

Nice atmosphere & great Service

By KiwiGirly2014 |

I saw a review that said the Calamari was to die for, so I decided I wanted to die and try this! Upon arriving, we were early and they could not seat up until our schedule time. The place was very packed. Our server and service was exceptional! The calamari was ok - not bad, but not great. Our meals was good - hamburger & Cobia (highly recommend). However, the dessert was a let down. The apple cobbler did not taste cooked or extremely hot.

Accommodating

By Jame C |

We were a group of four all with defined tastes in how we like our food prepared. SOHO did an excellent job of matching request such as substituting vegetables for risotto or potatoes, serving a side order of broccoli, getting the grilled salmon a perfect medium and most of all having a reasonable corkage and personal wines welcome policy. The group had two orders of crab cake the ahi tuna over risotto and grilled salmon over spinach and broccoli. We also enjoyed the chopped salad and the four ice cream bowl along with bread pudding. We will be back. Service was quick and thorough. We ate indoors due to the heat but outdoors had its fans and the bar was busy.

Delicious Valentine Day dinner

By StevenHScher |

We had a delicious meal at Soho on Valentine's day. I had the sea bass ($35) which was absolutely delicious. It is served on purple rice & bok choy, with a fantastic sauce. My wife had the shrimp linguini ($22). It was served with lots of large fresh, delicious shrimp. The sauce was excellent. Our server, Jerrod, was great. He helped my wife select her dish. He was efficient. Our food came out of the kitchen very quickly. This was an excellent meal.

Never disappoints

By Michael K |

My wife and I come here off and on when we want a really good meal and don't mind paying a little extra for it. The calamari really is as good as it looks and everything I've had here is great. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the Smyrna/Vinings area.

Very good, cool area

By Scott E |

Had dinner with my colleagues one night last week, really nice place. Had a delicious salad and the rosemary fennel crusted pork chops. Was a very interested & tasty way to make the chops - very much enjoyed it. Atmosphere was enjoyable as well; would go back for sure.

Great Lunch

By Sandra G |

My friend and I split the beet salad and each ordered a bowl of the chicken tortilla soup. Best soup of this kind I've ever eaten! Lots of shredded chicken, avocado, tortilla chips, cheese and the tastiest lime accented broth I've ever tasted. Our server was attentive and friendly. A great lunch after shopping at the area shops.

Best in Vinings!

By GPSMike |

Wonderful menu, wonderful food, wonderful Service! Priced right and very comfortable atmosphere. We have been going to this restaurant for over a year and can't say enough nice things about it.

Great neighborhood restaurant!

By Paceslaker |

Great Vinings neighborhood restaurant! Good food, good service and nice atmosphere. It's been there a long time so they must be doing something consistently right. Easy parking. No valet hassle.

Great Food, Great Service, Great Location

By pm-atl |

What a great find! Tucked into a corner of the Vinings Jubilee shops is SoHo. Depending on the weather and your mood, you can enjoy comfortable inside or patio seating. The staff are wonderful! How refreshing to discuss some of the interesting wines with their knowledgeable manager, be attended to by trained staff and served some of the best food in this part of Atlanta. Having dined here multiple times, I find their menu nicely varied and their specials truly a delight. The calamari is excellent. Their grilled pork chop encrusted with fennel and rosemary is simply amazing. Everything seems perfect. If you are looking for something special or just relaxed and enjoyable in the Vinings area, stop in at SoHo. They've been waiting for you since 1997.

Over Rated

By Foodie806 |

Based on Trip Advisor reviews we went to SoHo for dinner. It is outside of Atlanta in an area known as The Vinings. It is cute but food and service are only ok, nothing special. There are too many great restaurants in Atlanta and the Buckhead area. It is not worth the drive to good here.

Oysters and Hamburgers - Great combination!!

By Zonker123 |

My wife went light, with their oysters and a wonderful Fresh Trout appetizer that had a drizzle of cantaloupe sauce. Yes, it was cantaloupe and it was delicious! Oysters were fresh and came with a nice selection of dipping sauces. I went heavy with their "Triple B Burger" - Painted Hills Angus Beef, Applewood Bacon, Balsamic onions, sharp cheddar, lettuce, tomato on a toasted bun and was not disappointed! Excellent burger. Service was very good and food came out fast. Nice table in the back. I really liked this restaurant. A bit pricey, but looked worth it to me. Thumbs up!

Good waiters! The rest... Not so much

By Valeria. |

This restaurant was a complete waste of money. Me and my boyfriend went there for NYE and spend a pretty penny, because it is not cheap and the food is not even ok. We literally had to go to the Marietta dinner afterwards. We filled up a complaint on a sheet we found on the table and got a gift card for half of the amount we had spend that night, to come back and try the food once more, and so we did! But when we did the first thing we were welcomed with was a manager saying "you two were the once with the issue?" This restaurant is just horrible I don't recommend it to anyone. Save your money , or go somewhere else!

Very good food in tucked away in Vinings

By Joe L |

Stopped here for a business lunch with a colleague at his recommendation. While tucked away in a small corner on Paces Ferry Road and tough to see, it was worth the hunt. A little quiet inside for lunch it provided the perfect venue to catch up with an old friend while enjoying a quick meal. The service was good and the entrees of blacked salmon salad and chicken sandwich were vert tasty and price effective. Would certainly come back and try dinner at Soho.

Where Everybody Knows Your Name...

By Deb H |

SoHo is a warm and friendly restaurant frequented by the locals. Everyone knows each other; however as a first time guest you are not left out of the loop. The staff and atmosphere welcomes you and makes you feel you fit right in. The food is fabulous! I really hate when you go out to eat and you can tell the food has been frozen, or not up to high quality standards... Heck, I may as well have stayed home. Not here at SoHo... everything here is fresh, and seasoned just right. I have eaten here more than once and have been happy with everything I've tried. The Scottish Salmon was yummy... and their burgers are top notch. I'm told the Blue and Black Chicken is to die for... so that's next on my list.

Good food, service and value..

By Dave M |

I hosted a business group of 12 and the choice of SoHo was certainly a good one. We were promptly seated in a functional location which allowed for conversation and comfortable space. The wine list was average in all respects but the variety was sufficient to meet our needs. Everyone's food was perfectly prepared and tasteful. Our orders ranged from beef, to fish to pork chops and everyone was quite pleased. The tortilla soup was a good starter, maybe even a bit too generous unless you are a big eater. The desserts were perfect - the cobbler and bread pudding were two favorites. I definitely recommend and will return.

Great Food, Interesting Experience.

By Kaylee R |

I visited SoHo with my friends and though we had a reservation at 8:30, we were never seated. We ended up sitting at the bar an hour and a half later and ordering there after the hostess laughed at us when we asked when we could expect our table. Our waiter was great, as was the food, and after speaking to the manager about our experience he did his best to rectify the situation, but we still left with a sour taste in our mouth. Though we had visited the restaurant several times before, we haven't been back since.

Never Too Late...

By dparker3292017 |

The last time I visited SOHO was 20+ years ago... The fact that they are still serving the community at such a high level in the competitive Vinings area is reason enough to visit! Had the pleasure of dining here with my girlfriend after attending the evening performance of Shen Yun. Although we had reservations, at 10:15p they probably weren't necessary as we were long past the prime dining time. Have to admit, there was a little concern about dining at this hour... you know, was the wait staff and kitchen groaning upon our arrival because all they want to do is finish the night and get out of there. Fears unfounded. We were warmly greeted, had our choice of seats and immediately greeted by Tiffany, who competed with the food for the best part of the evening. The kitchen did an excellent job of preparing my salmon as requested and my date had the stuffed ravioli with sausage with a very nice sauce that she raved about (and she not a food raver by nature :) ) Tiffany was near perfect (near, because, heck, no one is) and made our dinner experience that much better. With her outgoing and warm personality she made our late evening dinner even more fun... Geez, who expected that? Bottom Line? Dine at SoHio and request Tiffany... You won't be disappointed.

Food , environment tops tops

The added addition to this restaurant is the fine and friendly service of Jennifer our server......Ask for her.....you will truly have an enjoyable time there...

Excellent lobster dinner

By StevenHScher |

We had a group of 7 for the Sunday lobster dinner ($32). 🦞🦞. It was delicious. The dinner comes with a salad, corn on the cob, boiled potatoes, & a large sausage. The lobster was a good size & came cracked & ready to eat. The service was excellent. This was a great eating experience in a nice setting.

Neighborhood Gem Never Disappoints

By Bryan H |

My wife and I have eaten at SoHo a number of times, both with our family and with other couples. The wine list is interesting, providing you with a number of choices at various price points. The food has been outstanding every time we've been there. Our favorites are the spicy calamari appetizer and the sea bass and ahi entrees. Great atmosphere and great food!

Nice wine list and friendly service

By AmyK |

Soho is a classy neighborhood spot with a diverse wine list and tasty food. We stopped in this time just for dessert. Excellent apple pie and crème brûlée (they make a different crème brûlée every day). Ate at the bar and Brian was very knowledgeable about the wine list and menu. One of the featured wines was a very nice Italian Cabernet for just $9.75.

Nice patio for spring in Atlanta

By luv4phood |

The menu had a nice variety of sandwiches, salads and entrees for lunch. I went with the meatball hero, which is not my normal leaning. I must have been feeling nostalgic for a good old fashioned meatball sub. The sub was OK...a little light on the meatball. I think there was one meatball sliced in four pieces. And, the cheese was not very flavorful. I ordered the pasta salad for my side which happened to be a great move...the pasta salad had a delicious balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Unfortunately, my enjoyment of the meal came to a screeching halt when I discovered raw chicken on my plate. Management and waiter were both very apologetic but it is difficult to regain your appetite after an unpleasant discovery.

Over and over, never fails

Quality Food and very attentive, professional service. I atop in every time I am in Atlanta. I like to enjoy the Tapas and Wine Flights. Chocolate Bread Pudding is a great splurge.

Nice evening

By Rick G |

We tried this on a Sunday night, and were very pleased. Excellent choice of appetizers / salads, as well as for seafood entrees. I had cioppino soup (nightly special) and the calamari and shrimp appetizers - both were very good. The wine list is a bit pricey, but it is what I expected.

Wonderful calamari

By Mindy T |

Walked down from Hotel Indigo Vinings and while it was quite a walk, it was worth it for the wonderful calamari, great service and expansive wine list.

Delicious Food

By Frances S |

I enjoyed the short ribs which was an excellent entree. I had great Creme Brulee for the dessert. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was nice. It was a very enjoyable evening.

4 1/2 stars because of an inattentive waiter

By StevenHScher |

I took my wife to SOHO on Mother's Day for the lobster dinner. On Sunday's they have a $30 lobster dinner. It includes a salad, 1 1/2 lb lobster, corn on the cob, boiled potato, andoullie sausage. It was an absolutely delicious meal. Our waiter was inattentive. It took a long time to get our check & hot towels. Otherwise it would have a 5 star rating.

Disappointing food and service

By ssdssi |

I have been eating at this restaurant when Atlanta for many years. I have unfortunately watched it get more pedestrian over time. Tonight was probably my last meal at Soho. Because my husband was out of town, I dined as a single female. It took 17 minutes to get some bread and olive oil, while the parties of two or more were served promptly. But the biggest disappointment was the quality of the food. I ordered the Ahi tuna, which has been one of my favorites on the menu. Tonight it had so much tough membrane running through it that much of it was inedible. When the waitress asked if I wanted a "go box" for the food I had not eaten, I explained that I couldn't eat it because of the membrane and did not want to take it with me. She commented that she would tell the chef but sometimes these things happened. I am really sorry to see an upscale neighborhood restaurant become content with mediocrity.

Elk

By Andrew M |

Elk was outstanding. We ordered it both medium rare and when they brought it, it was so tender that I probably can cut with the fork.

Excellent!!!

By GAFoodie1 |

I've visited Soho Restaurant two times in the past five weeks. Both times were excellent experiences. The staff was prompt and attentive. The wines were properly served and wonderful. My favorites were the calamari, mussels and sea bass. Great restaurant, give it a try you're sure to enjoy!!

Great place

By Rebecca G |

I had not been there in probably 15 years and so happy to return. This is a great place in Vinings. I had a crab cake appetizer that was delicious.

Fabulous Dining with Exceptional Service

By travelingjoeann |

We had a wonderful evening with just delicious food! Mussels appetizer, Ahi tuna and Halibut entrees, great wine and delicious chocolate bread pudding. Our server Taylor was always checking on us as well as the manager. A wonderful place to dine! You will not be disappointed!

Sunday tradition

By Mark S |

Because we leave the city for the mountains on the weekends, we are usually going here on Sundays for either their lobster dinner during summer or the prime rib dinners during the rest of the year. The bar is fine or either dining room for full service. We stick to the specials with a bottle of wine because it is an easy way to wind up a busy weekend and both dishes are dependably high quality. The calamari is the easy wild card my wife will add when particularly hungry.

Dining with a friend who is a food Maven

Excellent food and service!

By Bobbie021 |

Four of us visited the restaurant on a Saturday night. Everything the four of us had was exceptional! The service was top notch and the atmosphere of the room was great.

Great food, great atmosphere, service slow

By LeoVirginia |

My husband and I made reservation based on other reviews and we were seeking a "non-chain" restaurant experience to celebrate his birthday. The location and building is really charming, The menu was interesting and the wine list extensive. Loved overall vibe. Only complaint was slow, slow service - from being greeted, to getting water, order, food, bill, etc. Not sure if it was an off night. The waitress was very pleasant and knew the menu when asked for suggestions - just long waits between service.

Fantastic

By Jessica D |

This is out date night favorite restaurant. We have never had a bad meal service is fantastic along with the food. Highly Recommend!

Awesome Calamari

By LeticiaAtl |

Our visit to Soho last weekend was great! To start we had their version of Asian inspired calamari and crab cakes with creamy risotto... DELICIOUS! Four our entree- Sea bass, which was super fresh and tasty. The service was also exceptional.

Nice Atmosphere and Good Food. *Be wary of horseradish in potatoes...

By Nevrstp247 |

My daughter and I dined here twice in one week! We just wanted something good and to chill out. SoHo seemed to fit that criteria. The atmosphere is calming and quaint. We ordered the steak tacos and drinks. The tacos were fresh and so delicious. She got the beef short ribs with horseradish mash potatoes. BE WARY! The horseradish was intense! We ended up asking to substitute them with the buttermilk mash potatoes. (woman across from us complained of the intensity as well) I had the eggplant lasagna. Both were very, very good! I would highly recommend SoHo to everyone!

The Best Calamari & Manhattans This Side of Georgia!

By Jesse W |

I met my tenant here for a lovely dinner. She is a traveling nurse from Tennessee. We had a newbie for a waitress and she was in training w/a cool team lead. The place was buzzing with lots of conversation and cool people. This is a nice quaint, unforgettable restaurant. We ordered the calamari, the best in Atlanta along with a the BEST Manhattan hands down! The new waitress was personable and authentic and did a great job describing the calamari. We both ordered it and the incredible Apple Sausage Ravioli. What a fantastic night! Thank you Soho for always providing amazing food, awesome, attentive service with the best libations in Georgia!

Nice place...food okay

By jfbloveswine |

This place is the kind of neighborhood place I want to support...really, but I struggle with the quality / price value I received. I started with a chopped salad...$10 for a very small side salad. It was okay. Then had a crab cake...$13.50 for one medium sized crab cake...good, not great. My wife had the shrimp appetizer, $11 for 3 shrimp, really 3 shrimp, nothing special and the Caprese salad. Okay, but the window on good tomatoes has closed...we shared a $38 bottle of rose...available at retail for about $9. That's my point...$86 plus tip for 3 apps, a side salad and a cheap bottle of wine...good luck...you need to work on the equation...either on the quality / quantity side or on the value side

Night Out

By mlsatl |

We went to SoHo with a couple of friends for dinner. We chose the N.Y. Strip Steak for 2 which consisted of 16 ounces of sliced Angus Beef with two sides. The steak was perfect. We split the sides and my husband chose risotto, while I had mashed potatoes. Both were delicious. Not sure what our friends had but they also were very pleased. Everyone at the restaurant was extremely friendly. Our server, Jessie, was very attentive and quick. The manager, Jeff, was a pleasure. We enjoyed it so much that we returned a few days later and, again, had a great meal. Our server this time was Chappelle and she was wonderful, as well. We will definitely return.

Nice little restaurant, but overpriced for relatively average food

By pipercam |

Went to Soho for our anniversary. Nice little restaurant in Vinings (community of Atlanta.) I was in the mood for some red meat, so I ordered the Grilled Flat iron steak. I was expecting a nice size portion of meat. What I got was a 3in by 4in, piece of steak sitting on a pile of french fries with 8 scraggly asparagus on top. Cost $20! The blueberry cobbler with heavy cream was VERY good, and my wife ordered the Sea Bass which was very good. Overall, Soho has gotten some really good reviews, and I may have just ordered poorly. One little nitpick...the blueberry cobbler came in separate little white "boats", presented on a plate. I reached to turn the "boat", and nearly scalded my fingers. I mentioned to the waiter that he should warn about the hot serving, but he reacted as if I should have known.

In the Heart of Vinings

By Stephen C |

Soho is tucked away in the middle of the Vinings village with free parking and lots of small shops to wander around before or after the meal. The spicy Kalamari was a great starter and the short ribs, flat iron steak and fish dishes were all great. We had a nice Cab to wash it down. Nice atmosphere. We will go back

Worth the drive

By SJRAtlanta_Georgia |

We live on the other side of the city but will travel 40 minutes to visit. Initially we came for the general manager, Jeff. We met him at an Italian place near home and appreciated his knowledge of wines and his welcoming manner. We hgave continued to cone for the fiid and excellent service. Favorites include the ahi tuna, the elk, and the pasta Bolognese.

Good until...

By T D |

Very good until the very end...cheese platter (4 artisanal) contain a Goat Cheese...which literally smelled as if it contained droppings that would be left behind a goat. The cheese was almost gooey and the odor was of a stall in the barn. Noticeable at 3 feet...how did this EVER get on a plate? How did it ever leave the kitchen? Our server (who did a great job), brought over the manager....who refused to do anything but take it back to the kitchen to the chef. The item was removed from the bill...but goat cheese? The mild cheese with the creamy tang that you love... How was it ever put on a plate? How did it ever leave the kitchen? A nondescript reaction from the management just killed the evening.

Delightful

By Expattraveler100 |

Had a lovely lunch here on Braves game day. Staying at indigo hotel and walked to this restaurant (6 minutes)... we sat outside but under roof. Service was polite and professional yet unobtrusive. Lots of cocktails and wines choice plus draft beers. Parking is easy too right outside - then you get to stroll around the shops. Soups and calamari for starters were great - Burger was great (big!) and tuna Nicolas lovely - we will definitely return - little on the higher priced end but still a relaxing fun place for lunch.

Delightful

By Hmedlin |

We live about 1/4 mile from this place and have been several times. The bar is a great place to sit, eat, drink and make new friends and the patio area is perfect for those warmer evenings. Food is always good and they have a woundeful wine selection. Go!

Soho worth it

By Allan H |

Another excellent experience. have not been able to get to Soho in a year. NEVER disappoints. Excellent service. The baby Back ribs lunch special was excellent, and I highly recommend.

Excellent meal

By StevenHScher |

We have not been to Soho for a long time. It is a distance for us to get there. It was worth the trek. I started with the mussels. They were delicious. The sauce was fantastic & great for dipping bread. My only complaint is that the mussels were really small. You got a large portion but they were small in size. My wife had the Artisan salad which was also delicious. Her entree was the Bolognese served on fresh tagliatelle ($21). It was absolutely delicious. She took half the large portion home. I had the sea bass ($28.95). It was served with baby bok choy & a unique & fantastic purple rice. The sea bass was perfect. A good size portion. The service was very good, Terrance our waiter was very friendly & professional. This was an excellent meal. We will be back.

Yummy lobster Sunday!

By travelgirl065 |

We found out that Soho has a lobster special on Sunday nights until the middle of September. One and a half pound lobster, salad, corn on the cob, new potatoes and a small sausage link for $30.00. All the food was delicious and the service was superb! I found it a definite bargain! The only bummer was I spilled m glass of wine early n the dinner and they rushed to get me another one. I thought it was great service until I saw they charged me for the glass I spilled! Tacky, but I didn't say anything. Overall, good ambiance, attentive service and very good food!

Good food, poor service

By VLE_WhereToNext |

We joined friends for a dinner and lost our server many times during the evening. There is a backdoor entrance by kitchen that servers used to take a break, very disconcerting when wanting to place order, reorder drinks, get the check, etc. Lettuce wraps were great, crab cakes good as well. Probably won't return as food wasn't stellar enough to overcome poor service.

Can't beat it

By Jim_In_ATL |

This restaurant has become my go-to restaurant for business lunches. The service is excellent, the food is fantastic, it's not too loud, it has just the right amount of class and it's not very expensive!

Delicious, eclectic cuisine in Smyrna, some of the best Northwest Atlanta

By William F |

Our family enjoyed a celebratory dinner at Soho, and the experience was enjoyable. The calamari is the tastiest that I have enjoyed in Atlanta.it is not fried and the piquant glaze dripped along the border is earthy. The cheeseboard offered a delicious sampling, more so when coupled with a glass of alborino. The cobia and risotto were perfect. Rarely can I wrote such a description, by the texture and flavor blended perfectly, and the risotto completed the flavor. The steak fries were savpry, and though I am not a fan of fried, julienned potatoes, I could not but indulge. We rounded out the meal with the garden strawberries desert and the sorbet. The ambience was pleasurable and low key. Save for our children. The wait staff was prompt, efficient and courteous. I would strongly recommend an evening at SoHo.

Great food and service

By bhlraven1916 |

Off the beaten path. Great food and service. Amazing appetizers. The calamari was the best ever. The manager and head Chef came by our table to check on us. Prices are very reasonable. Our server Noel was the best. If you're in the Vinings area this place is a must visit.

Delightful experience

By TripTipDad |

Soho, in the middle of what locals may refer to as "Vinings proper" is an attractive, well situated establishment that feels comfortable. It features a well conceived menu that features delightful seafood appetizers (and a few other nice offerings) as well as a cheese board that compliments a very nice wine list. There's an eye on this menu towards smaller portion sizes such that an appetizer, a soup, and a small entree allow patrons to dine, but not over-stuff. A highlight of the menu has to be the Elk Tenderloin. The short ribs are excellent. The flat iron steak was expertly prepared. Sides are not an afterthought here. They are simple, but flavorful and all nicely done. Service was happy and pleasant. The atmosphere is casual and the staff feels prepared to "let it be" but they were total professionals and very accommodating. This is a great spot for casual upscale meals, and the interior allows for private conversation, if desired. We loved it, and will be back. One other note.... Atlanta has its fair share of upscale/casual locales that will gorge your wallet. This isn't one of them. The pricing is fair and we think this is one spot where there's considerable value.

Wonderful Night out!

Food and staff are excellent. Careful attention to detail and the best Sea Bass I've ever had! We'll certainly visit this fine restaurant again.

Good food, expensive drinks

By dustmon |

Had heard good things about it, and my stepmother was offering to take us there so we said sure! Got there early so we could enjoy a drink before dinner at the bar---good and quick, but $9 for a glass of house wine and $12 for a Tito's martini is a bit high in my opinion. (Tito's sells for about $15 per bottle in a shop) Again, no problem with the food or it's high price and would recommend for a splurge meal.

Great food with service to match.

Soho is one of my favorite places in the city. The calamari is THE BEST in the city to me...hands down! Cucumber Collins is also a nice beverage. The service here is ALWAYS impeccable. I've been here several times, eaten inside, outside, at the bar, for lunch and for dinner, and I NEVER leave less than completely satisfied.

Love this place!

SoHo is one of my favorite restaurants!!!! It is one of my "go to" restaurants. Nice atmosphere and great food. Great location!

Business Dinner Treat

By Lisa B |

A fresh take on American cuisine at this upscale establishment. Had a wonderful salmon dish with salad. Crème bur le for desert and just delightful. A tad pricy but most definitely a place for a special event or business dinner with clients.

A Pleasant and Popular Choice

By RichT529 |

The service is good at this popular bar and restaurant. The food is tasty as well but the hot vegetarian options (i.e., one) are limited. Be sure to make a reservation for a weekend.

lovely setting,good food

I went to Soho's on Feb 13th expecting it to be only half full. The place was very busy filled with large tables of friends and families gathering for various celebrations. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Even with a room full of happy party goers, the noise was minimal. Our dinners were excellent as well as the service. My friend from out of town was very impressed.

Reward for a tough week

By Jeff F |

Returned home from a tough week away. My wife wanted to treat me with a nice meal and evening out. Soho did the trick. We each have a favorite dish which we both ordered. Everything was as normal...absolutely perfect. I will be back.

Excellent in every way

By joeman123 |

My wife and I dined here for the first time and it was fantastic. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server Chantel right away. I had the Southern Old Fashioned cocktail and it was very well made. The restaurant is quiet and has nice views which we really appreciated. They have a great wine list and the menu has enough choices without being large and confusing. Salad and entrées were very well prepared with top notch ingredients. I had the grouper special and my wife had the chicken and both were perfectly done and presented very nicely. Service was prompt and attentive. The manager was visible on the floor making sure everyone was satisfied with the food and service. The price point is excellent, considering what you get for your money. I can see now why they have been in business 20+ years in the competitive Vinings/Smyrna area. We will be back.

Great Dining

A casually elegant restaurant with wonderful food and service. Their seafood and meat dishes were wonderful. Ordering mussels as an appetizer is perfect for two or even three people...and it was delicious. We were all dipping to get every drop.

Good Food Service ok

By Vinman811 |

Went for a business dinner. Made a reservation and was promptly seated. Was greeted by the server and was asked if we wanted a drink. Brought the drinks and asked if we were ready to order. Order apps and he waited for us to order our entree. I would expect that at a fast food chain but not here. Crab cake app was excellent. My main course came out within a minute of clearing the plate. This was also excellent. If the service matched the food then you have a winner.

Very Good with a Neighborhood feel

By twaone |

Dined at SOHO on a Saturday evening with party of four. First visit for three of us (won't be the last). Although crowded, service was very efficient and friendly. The food was excellent! Everything from the cheese board to the scallops special. Very good cocktail and wine selection.

One of the best restaurants in Atlanta

By Kms |

On a whim we decided to join friends we had not seen in 15 years at Soho in Vinings on a Friday night. Even with a reservation there was a bit of a wait but it was well worth it! Great appetizers! The calamari was perfect. We all had different kinds of fish as entrees- tuna, sea bass, grouper- and everyone was happy.Chocolate bread pudding for desert was the perfect finish! Great service. A little noisy but they were very busy! One of the best meals we have had in Atlanta in 15 years. A little sad we didn't find it sooner!

Great Date Night

By tbiscuit |

My wife and I visited SoHo for date night. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will be back. Staff: Friendly and energetic wait-staff. Knowledgeable and efficient. Food: We started with the calamari that is the most popular appetizer at SoHo. We liked the fact that the spice is around the edge of the plate. My wife does not like any heat on her food, but I do, so this arrangement made us both happy. Calamari was cooked right- not rubbery- sauce is flavorful but not overwhelming. For dinner she had the crab cakes and I had the sea bass. Both were perfectly prepared- crab cakes tasted like crab- yay! Sea bass had a crisp exterior with flaky and moist meat inside. So good. Great place!

good local fare

a great spot, warm and friendly with a super lunch menu. If you are nearby why not make this your choice

Not many vegetarian choices

By travel girl |

The service was pretty good, and my food was fine, however, there really are not many choices at all for vegetarians. There was a good vibe at the bar - I would not make a trip back to vinings area specifically to eat here, but was not a bad option if you are in the area.

Great Dining, Great Experience, Great Meal

By steveatl2015 |

This unassuming restaurant nestled in Vinings offers a wide selection of entrees, excellent appetizers and generous desserts. The friendly wait staff is solid, professional and helpful.

Great choice, good food

The food was good and reasonably priced. The service was prompt and efficient and the venue appealing. I would have no hesitation in returning.

Wine Flight Night is very nice way to explore a variety of wines and dishes

By marc.goetschalckx.usa@gmail.com |

On Flight Night you get three glasses of wine (tasting size, not full glasses), each of which the chef has paired with a dish. We selected two of the suggested pairings and one different appetizer. Food was very tasty (small tasting portions). We visited on French wine night. Two of the three wines were good, one was just average. This is a nice way to sample several dishes, but is not a full dinner. We will do it again when we like the wine region featured that night. However, the tables (for two) are too small for this sampling menu. Some of our food fell off when the waitress was trying to fit it all. Get a table for four for a couple.

Adequate food

By Barbara K |

I was a bit disappointed with my meal and with the service here. We met friends here for my birthday celebration. The waiter put down a bread basket as we talked, then removed it. we just sat, looking at each other, asking "Did I just see that?" Finally, just before our food arrived, he brought more bread to us. My duck tasted okay and was cooked properly on the inside, but there was a large layer of fat and the skin was limp (unappetizing). The different colored potatoes that accompanied my entree were unremarkable. For dessert, we shared a creme brulee (tasteless and room temperature) and a Georgia Peach claflouti (which was really nice) topped with vanilla ice cream. I was a little disappointed, as my meals here in the past have been really good. I'm not sure I'll give them another chance to redeem themselves.

Great spot!!!

A Great Gem in VInings

By GotMyPassport007 |

I found out about SoHo during one of the Vinings Restaurant Weeks. Every time I've been here, I've had a great dining experience. Everyone I've taken has also enjoyed it and passed the word along. Over the years, we've had the Beef Bolognese, Scottish Salmon, Herb Roasted Chicken, Burgundy Braised Beef Short Ribs, Sea Bass, and Maine lobster. I've also had the cheesecake and apple crumble. Everything we've had was always well prepared, well seasoned, and served in a timely manner. The host and staff have always been courteous. And each of our servers was professional and friendly. The location is great and the artwork hanging in the restaurant is usually intriguing. They are very accommodating for diners having tickets for events at the Cobb Centre. I would definitely recommend and return.

Good food with a nice atmosphere!

By TizzyMc |

Everything on the menu sounded good but I ended up ordering the shrimp linguini. It was very good. In fact, the five others in our party were all happy with their food as well. It was a nice night so the over-sized windows were open which made for a wonderful breeze. The wait staff did a fantastic job and even recognized that I had not had much of my cocktail and took it off of the bill. Overall, it was a great experience.

Great mixed drinks and Halibut special

By bhlraven1916 |

We had a great experience at Soho Restaurant in Atlanta. The appetizers — calamari, tuna tartare, and Caesar salads — were fresh and flavorful, especially the calamari with its tasty Asian-style sauce. For entrées, the New York strip, beef Bolognese, and halibut special were all excellent. The only downside was the braised short rib, which was overcooked, though the staff was quick to offer a replacement. Drinks were great, parking was easy, and they offer a military discount. Overall, a solid choice for a night out — we'd definitely go back.

Not bad....

By Mandianderic |

Visited while on a business trip. Ordered carpaccio - good but VERY small, green salad (nice vinegrette) and short ribs. Short ribs where good but the mashed potatoes tasted like boxed. Waffle dessert was okay but not special. More restaurants in ATL that I would rather spend my money in.

Great for casual meals with friends or family

By Pnkbird |

We love to go here on Sunday nights for a quick bite in the bar area. We have also celebrated birthdays here, but this is our go to for a upscale but casual dinner.

A great nearby find when I want a guaranteed great meal

By JorgeDeJesus |

When I moved near the Vinings/Smyrna/Cumberland area, me and my wife were looking to see if we found a nice place we could have as our spot… This is the first place we had dinner and it blew us away. A wonderful restaurant that focuses on great pairings, fresh ingredients, and fresh takes on some classics. We’ve tried a wide array of dishes, but top picks so far are the Scallops, the Elk, the eggplant lasagna, the calamari, and the apple sausage raviolis. A great solid restaurant with friendly people who are only too happy to help you get the meal you REALLY enjoy. A solid wine selection complements a very solid bar, which has great drinks and a nice, albeit limited beer selection. But honestly, if you go here, try some of the drinks or wines.
