Four of us on a Monday at 12:30. Seated promptly. More people came a little later. Half the customers were of Asian extraction. A good sign. We ordered the seafood tofu soup (which arrived bubbling), spicy chicken, #17 beef chops, and two S3 the sizzling stone pot with bibimbap and bulgogi. And it really was sizzling. Took about 15 minutes to cool to and edible temp but it made a nice crusty rice. We did order a bulgogi but changed to S3. That was not a problem with our server. She also refilled the kimchi side dish - which was delicious. Overall, we agreed this was worth a repeat visit.

Came upon this place with my father while traveling on business. Its tucked in a corner of a shopping center/strip mall. We had the kalbi & soontufu combo and a bowl or kalguksu noodles. They were so good after eating fast food and feeling disatisfied all week. If you havent had korean bbq this is a great place to try it out. Lots of english speakers very willing to help out and make recommendations. If you already like korean food they have something for every taste or craving. Just wish we had something like this back home....

I have tried a lot of soft tofu soup and this one was average. The best dish was seafood pancake. The bugolgi and kalbi were tasty. Steamed rice was too wet. However with the soup it comes in a stone pot that they can add hot tea afterwards so you can eat and or drink the dried up rice.

I have been eating here with my family and friends for the past 4 years. I have travelled and tried different fancy Korean food. Every time the taste here is rich and satisfying and totally worth it. If you are a first timer or someone passing through, this is the Korean restaurant you want to eat at. THey serve quality and quantity and are totally worth it.

My husband loves the Stone Pot Bi-Bim-Bap. It's usually quite good. I've had the Kal Bi, Bulgogi, and Sundubu (tofu soup) all good. I also like their Duk bokki (sp) too. It's good, authentic Korean food. It's not the best that I've ever had, but it's the closest to our house and we go there about 3-4 times/month sometimes more, and have been going there at that rate for almost 4 years. We have NEVER been greeted in a manner that shows that they recognize us. In the last few months we even have the same waitress every time we go. She's so borderline awful that it makes us laugh. She's impatient when she takes our order. We have to search for her to get more ban chan. She never acknowledges when we say thank you. She rarely smiles at us, and always seems like we're bothering her. If the food wasn't good we wouldn't go there, ever. But it's kind of become a joke. We don't expect to be friends so we're never disappointed. The food is usually quick and good which is, after all, the point, right?

visit with my boss and staff...compare with other korean restaurant in california sokongdong is much better

Very friendly staff lots of great authentic Korean food. Wonderful experience. Will most definitely return. Soooo much food

I have eaten here a number of times since I work close by and it is always delicious and service is friendly and fast. I love the bibimbap best-- big serving and very tasty. Took my ten year old son today and he loved it too. Something I always notice here - most of the other customers are Korean... A very good sign!!

This place is clean, affordable, friendly, but most of all...delicious. Especially when it's cool outside, there is nothing like having a cauldron boiling over with super tasty Korean soup poured over rice. The Bi Bim Bap is really good here, but get it in the cast iron pot in order to get the crispy rice at the bottom. A simple, wonderful find.

Going to this place for such a long time now. Serving very authentic Korean dishes. Their food r much better tasting then when they 1st open, the only thing I want to see changes r the side dishes, add some new one from time to time will be nice. Our Server lady is very friendly n courtesy, I even address her as μΈλ (older sister) I recommend this place for lunch n dinner ππππ°π·

Nice location, authentic Korean food. We had beef and bibibap, not too impressive but good enough to me. Will try the cold noodles or table BBQ next time. The service can be improved.

While visiting Portland, OR we wanted to try different cuisines. We stopped in So Kong Dong Tofu & BBQ. I found the food very tasty. I ate with my chopsticks, which was a challenge, but got through the meal. The service was very good and our experience pleasurable.

Went for dinner last night with my hubby as i was craving for korean food. (I would like to thank my hubby for taking me here :D ) Anyway, Ive been to many korean restaurant in asia and this is my 3rd time here to eat korean food in the US. This place got a nice set up, service was ok, the price is pretty fair, they have combos to choose from to save you money, we had combo A, the amount of food they serve is just enough for two people but its all good.my hubby and I love this place, its worth the money & time. my belly was so happy after we had that pleasant dinner. Im not korean but i love korean food so much!!! ;)

I will return, but prepare for a wait. Food was good though. I had Bibimbap and seafood pancake, not the best, but above average.

WOW! check out this Korean food restaurant located in the Fubonn Mall. This is a great Korean food place on Portland's East side. We began with Soondubu, a soft tofu soup which you can order with the degree of spiciness to your taste. The four of us ordered combo meals including bulgogi beef, a marinated beef dish, spicy pork, and a BBQ beef short ribs. Each meal came with the Soondubu. We were also served individual bowls of hot steamed white rice. With the meals, community-style, was Ban Chan, which is a variety of small side dishes: kim chi, sprouts, glazed sweetened potato, seaweed with cucumber, etc. Each side dish was fresh and tasty. The table service can be a little slow because each item is individually prepared when ordered, and the rice and soup are prepared in individual stone bowls which require special preparation, but they finally get the job done. Prices range $14-$20 and well worth it. Parking is plentiful and the Fubonn grocery is next door if one has grocery shopping needs. Metro has a bus stop on S.E. 82nd in front of the Fubonn Center.

Most of good Korean restaurants are in Beaverton. This is just a typical, great, inexpensive Korean food. Try the Seafood noodle soup. Most people didn't think of ordering it from a Korean restaurant but it's quite good. And of course, their specialty, which is soft tofu soup.

I was on my way somewhere and getting hungry. Remembering this place, I stopped in. There were people at 3 other tables so I was seated promptly. I got the beef bulgogi. It came w the usual assortment of sides. Because I was one, they cooked the meat for me. No difference. It was all good.
first korean restaurant ever, will be back
we happened upon this place driving down Buford Hwy not knowing where we would stop for lunch. When we saw it crowded at 1:30 with locals I knew it had to be good. I spoke with the person in charge and he explained each dish and how it was prepared. He shared how many side dishes we would get in addition to our entree. We were surprised when a small whole fried fish, kmuchi, broccoli, rice noodles , rice and two fish dishes came to our table prior to the entree. The combo plate of ribs and soup ( (tofu/veggie dumpling was amazing). We will be back
