Great pasta dishes and service and ambiance

By plonky74 |

Great food and good service. I was really surprised. The last is made in house. Tried the sepia spaghettis and were really great. The prosciutto and the burratta delicious and the tomatoes that come with the burrata were out of the world. Would love them in a pasta. Will be back and highly recommended. Ohh also great cocktails and ambiance.

American excuse for Italian food

By Roland Schumacher |

Package pasta drowning in pre-made fat sauce, Fritto Misto also with an awful egg-smelling sauce on top and around it. Tiramisu looks like a sad version of an Oreo with on top and inedible flower. More like an American restaurant serving Italian style-ish dishes. Undercooked pizza bottoms... Coming from Italian origin, we will look a bit further next time for a real Italian dish. Porca miseria 🫣

Exquisite Pink Umbrellas meet Italian

By Mirtha R |

The Sofia was absolutely brilliant! We fell in love with the décor; so eclectic and aesthetically pleasing to the eye. A fusion of modern with nostalgia. Those fluffy pink umbrellas on the patio were spot on. Not only were they luxurious, but also drew attention to the location. The artwork inside the restaurant was impressive. From the milky white glass chandeliers to the Marilyn Monroe prints; truly a sight to behold. The eclectic food was scrumptious, the portions were generous and the specialty cocktails were delightful. Gary, Aaron Jesús & Beatriz really made us feel so welcome. Their warm smiles and attention to every detail was superb. We had an exquisite time and plan to return.

Nice break from shopping

Went for weekend brunch prix fixe menu which was a good value. All 4 of us had different starters which were all really good: shrimp cocktail, fritto misto, bruschetta, and ricotta toast. Had the rigatoni all a vodka- very good especially the house made pasta. Very nice service.

An aesthetic spot

The experience was delicious and pleasant. The place is very nice, also on the terrace you have a view of the Miami design district. The dishes we tried were very delicious. We must emphasize that the Mood is very cool both inside and outside. Attention if it could improve a little.

Mario Díaz the floor manager was excellent. Restaurant was busy and he made my family and I feel like a million bucks. Oh and the food was excellent. Will be back!

A great dining experience in Miami Design District

By Anna C |

We recently had dinner at Sophia and had such a lovely evening. Our server Alonzo was helpful besides having a great personality. Mario, the manager and Alonzo went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The tuna was excellent and lamb chops were delicious. A decadent tiramisu topped off the meal. We can’t wait to return!

Super Friendly Service. Delicious Food.

Super Friendly Service. Delicious Food Selection. A MUST visit restaurant in Miami Design District. In my opinion - one of THE BEST in the area. We visited this place for our friend's birthday celebration, and we made such a good choice! Mario, the Manager, is fantastic, super professional individual. He creates such a welcoming atmosphere and amazing comfort. No matter where you seat - inside or outside - the design of the place is outstanding. As for the food selection, we ordered the following dishes (I highly recommend them): - Torre Di Frutti Di Mare, which is a platter or tower with selection of oysters, stone crab, key west shrimps, Maine lobster. - Cotoletta Alla Milanese, which is delicious bone-in veal chop - Whole Branzino served with roasted veggies For dessert you can order any item from Dolce Sofia selection. Equally delicious! Definitely, we will be returning to this spectacular restaurant!
