Went for dinner and had a variety of dishes. Daniela at the falls location was an amazing server! Very attentive and sweet. Food and service was amazing. Thank you

We got a pick up order. The sushi is ok but the Waygu beef sliders were amazing. Expensive for small portions.

We visited this restaurant for a night family dinner. What a bad choice we made! Our young server completely lacked professionalism and his uncaring attitude was found much disrespectful by us. We specifically asked for different tabs in the beginning of the night, but in the end, we received one whole long tab, which he asked us to split ourselves. His request, plus his disorganized and slow service throughout the night, prompted us to request the manager on duty. Another big mistake! The first thing the manager requested from us was that if we were going to report our dining experience In TripAdvisor, to at least mention the quality of the food was good; totally not acknowledging our complaint in the first place. Unfortunately, the quality of the food is not extraordinary; we considered it ok, but not excellent or worthy a second chance, specially with all the mishaps we had that night. A small discount was applied to our tab at the end of the night, however this action did not affect our negative impression of the way business is handled in this establishment. Much personnel training is needed here. There are plenty sushi and Peruvian restaurants in Miami, which offer better quality of food, great prices and which gladly demonstrate appreciation for their clients. Never again Sokai Kendall!

Excellent attention from Ms. Ayelen Veraportocarrero, very friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is welcoming and fun.

Went to the location in Kendall. Sushi was phenomenal, and the service was very attentive and knowledgeable. 10/10. Will be bringing my family and friends here

We love eating sushi and @sokaisushibar didn’t disappoint 👌🏼 Everything was delicious and the staff very friendly. 💯 Definitely recommended!

Nice and clean spot. The server struggled a little bit with English but she really tried and she was bubbly a d happy to help. She made some recommendations and I loved what I eventually chose, i think it’s called Doral. Portions were huge and I got a to go bag. I would do it again.

I love there food great fusion! There teriyaki lunch special for 10.00 out of hand. You get white rice teriyaki chicken breast 6 California rolls and choice of soup or salad

I did order a tea they suggested green tea I did don’t like it at all they can select better the lime as a ornament on the tea Clean, beautiful, modern restaurant , the concept call my attention. The size off the dishes were perfect no to big , or small . Presentation beautiful what I miss was the ginger and the wasabi was not present on the table . I can spoke on the pulpo anticuchero the flavor was Perfect but the pulpo was crispy and burn on some parts , they can improve the dish a little bit . The waitres was alway with a smile and courtesy Iwas specking a little bit more . The bathroom was a big issue to me only one for the amount of tables .I did have to run to the mall bathroom

We flew into Miami and asked the check-in guy at Aloft hotel for a good restaurant preferably Sushi. Without a blink of his eye he mentioned Sokai. He nailed it. We had tuna tacos and miso soup for appetizers, we had Protein Punch (mamenori, salmon, tuna, escolar, avocado, spring mix asparagus, red onions, and ponzu sauce) and Sokai Delight ( salmon or tuna, krab salad, avocado, asparagus, citrus soy, sesame seeds, and yuzu creamy aioli.) for starters. What a treat!! Good service, fair prices. Only minor thing is the below comfortable temparature in the restaurant.

Delicious food, great service and ambiance. It’s great for birthdays and family gatherings. I was there for my daughters birthday and we will definitely comeback.

The salmon was delicious the fried rice was excellent but the rolls were like defrosted fried. The miso soup was pretty good. Seating wasn’t up to par.

This restaurant is incredible. I drank ten bottles of pepsi there. I ordered a meal but couldn't eat it because the soda was too good and just kept drinking. I took some of it home to clean my sink and toilet. Totally recommend going there. The soda is phenomenal.

Outstanding lunch Experience! From the lady who took our order, the bartender expertise in cocktails, dishes presentantions! Everything was on point. The decoration of the place is a plus!

I will generally give a restaurant more than one chance if I have a bad experience. Anyone can have an off night. But this is the third time that I gave Sokai a try. I am beyond done, and you can squarely blame the service every single time. The food is fine...acceptable. But I can get "acceptable" for half the price and none of the aggravation so I'm not sure why anyone would bother. This goes beyond an inexperienced staff, because we all have to start somewhere. This is about a rude staff...an indignant staff...a staff unworthy of ANY tip, much less the 18% that was automatically tacked on because we were a party of 7. And you can't help but wonder if that's why our server didn't care about mostly ignoring us. We asked for separate checks which he insisted he could manage with no problem, but we got handed one long check that we were expected to break down. There were charges for sangrias that we never drank, waited 1/2 hour for a Coke that was "still being made", and got immature, bratty, disrespectful laughter when we asked for follow up on things we ordered but never got. When management was brought in at our request, there was more concern over positively reviewing their food, than over trying to make amends to what were obviously 7 very angry, disappointed, frustrated customers. There is no food in the world, no matter how good, that can suffice for terrible service. So it is absolutely laughable to imagine that I might convince you to give this establishment your hard-earned money in exchange for mediocre food and an insulting lack of service. As I said this is not my first visit...it was my third. Not only will I never step foot inside again, but I will make sure I tell everyone I know not to bother, either. And beg them to spread the word as well.

This restaurant is a cross of sushi and Peruvian. Both of which we like very much. Our favorite item on the menu is the Protein Punch Roll (sushi). Greens in place of rice with three different fishes wrapped in soy paper. Absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that I am not a fan of sushi with "Krab" (processed seafood) or sushi with cream cheese. Both of these items dominate the sushi menu. On the Peruvian side they fuse Japan with Peru in their Gyoza appetizer. Gyoza atop a sweet potato mash topped with onions. Very good. The octopus tiradito is also very good. The ceviches are fine, with my favorite which is the Ceviche Mixto, a mix of fish, shrimp and octopus. We ordered the chicken chaufa (Peruvian version of Chinese chicken fried rice). I have the left overs for breakfast. Our service has always been very good with exceptional service on our last visit.I like this place as a new favorite in my repertoire.

Very good service from Ayelen Vera Portocarrero. My next trip will be with the family, I hope to return soon.

Went to Sokai Sushi Bar with my husband and friend. We enjoyed the multiple sushi we bought. My favorite sushi was the SOKAI Delight Salmon where it’s salmon on the outside and lobster in the inside (doesn’t have rice). I have been to better sushi restaurants in New York but this was good. Service was strong, they refilled our drinks regularly. I wouldn’t go back unless I was perhaps in the area, but my family lives further away in Florida.

Food was outstanding and the service second to none, in fact the waiter was very friendly, understood the menu very well and was very professional

First time visiting this place and its AMAZING!!! The vibe and music are perfect for a nice family, romantic or solo dinner. The manager came to table to greet, that's a plus for me always. My server Sarah was so amazing, she maintain the table clan, water always filled, clean chopsticks and silverware. Always smiling and cheerful, wish I would find more servers like this in all restaurants in Miami. Now...lets talk food! I started with a Frozen Virgin Strawberry Mojito and Pork Belly Buns. Then......created my own Foodie dish that included Ebi Roll Special, Kona and Wagyu & Sea (each sold separately) mind blowing...DELICIOUS!! And to finish the Marquesa Roll...mind blowing, its a Ferrero Rocher roll. Will definitely be visiting again.

Comparing my previous visits to Sokai Doral: When we arrived there was no one in the room to assign you a table. The chairs were dirty, in general the place. The Passion Fruit lemonade tasted like lemon and that's it. I ordered the Maui roll, the banana was not ripe so it tasted bland, as the roll was fried it tasted like rancid oil. I returned it. The waitress kindly took it away and said she would call the manager. He approached me to sarcastically tell me that it was strange that I didn't like the roll since it was the same Doral recipe, the same chef and the same ingredients. Anyway. Bad attitude and unprofessionalism on the part of the person who is supposed to be there to solve situations with clients. In the end I didn't ask for anything else, after having spoken with the Manager I didn't want anything more than not to return. I'll stick with the Doral branch 100%

The restaurant was clean, and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was kind knowledgeable, attentive, and very accommodating (my grandfather can be a bit particular when it comes to his cocktails). But oh my goodness THE FOOD! Delicious Peruvian specialties with a Japanese twist rolled up into AMAZING SUSHI ROLLS of flavorful fishy goodness! I have never had a sushi roll with such diverse flavors. I got the Gaby roll and my grandfather got the Volcano roll and we both finished everything on our plates. The manager even personally asked us if we were enjoying our meal -- WHICH WE WERE!! I highly recommend.

Food is good. Nice rolls. Service I would say needs improvement - slow, our food came not all at once, but in separate timings... so some people were eating while others were still waiting.

This is my family’s favorite sushi restaurant. Unique sushi rolls, with other Peruvian inspired dishes. Favorite roll: Salmon Guacatruffle Roll. The bowl of Peruvian corn kernels that they bring to nibble on are addictive, so don’t fill up on those. This place has been opened for just over 2 years now and does not disappoint. Located in The Falls shopping center, it’s added nicely to the variety of restaurants at our local shopping area. Service is typically very good and we rarely had to wait for very long to be seated.

We had dinner last night based on the previous reviews. The only positive aspect of the restaurant was the service. Ken was outstanding. The drinks very mediocre, we ordered to cosmopolitans, they were served with pink lemonade instead of cranberry. The appetizers were acceptable, ceviche and gyosa. The main course was awful, dragon roll and rockaway. The do not offer brown rice. In general, except for our waiter who really went the extra mile to make us comfortable it’s a place not to return.

Worst Service ever order online 2 hours later still no food been told driver is coming for an hour spoke to a lady named Isabel super rude who refused to let me speak to a manager worst customer service ever and finally when I got the food it was disgusting

I have been there 3 timesharing the same month. once as a couple, once with a big family group, and the third with a couple of friends. In general, the wait is always long, I do not know how they handled it, but very time I had to wait, very little space inside. They have table outside, but Miami is not the place to eat outside unless you are a tourist. The service has always been good some time excellent. The food always been good, except the last time we ordered two of the same dishes with 20 minutes different, and the first time it was unbelievable the second portion was less than appropriate, I guess the cook had to leave. The Pisces are good, and all the dishes I tried were good. a place to recommend, but be careful, the wait can be more than 45 minutes. They should offer a glass of water to the people waiting outside or have a waiter offering at least drinks to the people waiting outside.

Omg ! I can’t believe this place is on bussiness, music was so loud that my head was about to explode, I asked the waiter if she can Lower Down and she did the opposite it , she turned it louder ( disrespectful) also they don’t speaks any English ( come one people do some effort) I absolutely DONT come here !

I was intrigued with the idea of Peruvian-Japanese? It is worth indulging your curiosity! The little bowl of Kancha (like Peruvian cornuts) they give you when you sit down is ADDICTIVE! So good! The homemade Chicha Morada was a DELICIOUS drink and my Tuna Tartare was yummy! My daughter loved her shrimp and we enjoyed the service. Would definitely come again with a small or even large party! Kinda pricey, but the food doesn't disappoint!

Very good attention from Miss Ayelen a very kind person thank you my family felt very comfortable soon I will return greetings

We dined here last night with another couple. Our server was friendly but her service was inconsistent. One appetizer came out before entrees as it should, the other was delivered simultaneously with entrees. We ordered two glasses of wine but only received one as the server didn’t understand we wanted one each for two people and the wait for the second glass was long into the meal. Food was good not great. We wouldn’t recommend it to diners with food allergies, especially wheat/gluten. Not sure we’d return.

Camilla is a great server that makes you want to come back I recommend this restaurant excellent spicing good presentation attentive staff ( specially Camilla !!!)

Samples this gem thanks to Uber eats. It’s was skeptical about peruvian Asian fusion food, but we all really liked Sokai. They have lots of options, and their prices are decent. No complaints

Absolutely Delicious Foods! I stopped in while shopping at the Falls for a quick bite. Nikki was my server at the bar who assisted me in selecting this wonderfully delicious creation called the "SALMON TRUFFLE TOASTED AVOCADO". WOW! I can honestly say if you are into this type of food that you must try this dish and this restaurant. They have a great menu, fresh delicious foods, and my service from Nikki at the bar was stellar! The ambiance is casual. Sokai Sushi Bar is located on the northeastern corner of the falls shopping center just steps from the parking lot on the east side right next to Bloomingdales and across from the Fresh Market, and the waterfalls.

We drove over to the Falls for dinner and found Sokai which recently opened. The menu was interesting. The decor is nice and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. We tried the butter crab roll which was very good. Then we had the mixed seafood ceviche which advertised fish, shrimp and octopus. The ceviche was good but the octopus was a microscopic amount (see picture). Not good since nearby competitors offer better for less. That being said the tuna pizza is good and different. The manager at the time was very nice and the service was very good. They are new so we will try again and will order the mixed seafood ceviche and report back.. meanwhile drop by and enjoy...!

Thank you ----, for the attention that the successes in your work continue and the place is highly recommended, excellent attention from Ayelen

My first visit to this restaurant was truly a memorable experience. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The ambience was fantastic, with a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our visit. I'd like to give a special shoutout to Cristian, the bartender who provided us with exceptional service. He really went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. All of the drinks he made were amazing, but the Old Fashioned was truly outstanding. It's the best one I've ever had, and I highly recommend it to anyone who visits the restaurant. Overall, I'm extremely grateful for the exceptional service and food provided by the staff at this restaurant. Thank you, Cristian and team, for making our visit truly wonderful. I can't wait to come back again!

Great food!!! Lomo saltado by Alejandro was delicious!!!! Mario helped us with our order selection!!!Thank you ver much! we had a great time

Great sushi restaurant, prices are normal, but the food is excellent. Good wines & beers. Lot’s of choices for a good meal. Open kitchen.

There is actually another location not listed in doral. Lunch specials are super good and they deliver. Service is great and quality of the food is wow. They have a lunch special 10.00 teriyaki chicken breast white rice 8 California rolls and soup or salad can't beat that

Japanese and Peruvian fusion makes this restaurant one of our favorites. Conveniently located in The Falls shopping center, Sokai offers an array of delicacies that will make you want to come back over and over again. From tiraditos to ceviches, to chaufa to unforgettable desserts. You will be in for a treat. Try ceviche carretillero with corvina, sea bass and calamari and share a causa acevichada. Don't forget to ask for the best dessert ever, roll marquesa with Nutella, maria crackers and more. The staff is friendly and informed.

We dined here on a Friday night after some fanfare. This is a fusion between Peruvian and Japanese. This combination works extremely well here. The service was very good and the food excellent. The Sushi was very fresh and Peruvian dishes were on point. The tiraditos were delicious, chicken Chaufa and Ceviche Mixto were scrumptious. Overall, recommend dining here when in the falls area. Enjoy

Hidden gem in The Falls! Great fusion of Peruvian and sushi - definitely recommend the pork belly buns and the rockstar roll! Also, thai donuts for dessert. The service is spectacular as well, Oscar is a rockstar!

I visited this place with some clients with the idea of sharing a good time and have some lunch. Need to confess that waiters looked like they never received minimal training about how to proper serve a table. They have no idea at all. We were six people and the main dishes came at six different time. Dessert and coffe was placed on the table while the main plates layed still on. It was a disaster business lunch. The quality of food matched with the bad services. We just had small bites and left everything on the table. The most impressive part: A 18% tip was already and automatically included on the bill. What a waste of time and money !!!

Service was horrible. We left after 2 minutes. Not well managed. There are better places round the area. Area looked dingy.

Food is amazing, service could be improved in organization and speed. The appetizers are my favorite. We liked this place so much we have gone 3 times in the past 2 weeks.

Food is amazing portions are large and great lunch specials and they deliver they have a teriyaki chicken with white rice 8 California rolls and soup or salad for 10.99 for lunch during the week can’t beat that

We had a wonderful lunch starting with the sweet & spicy edaname which was just the right amount of spice. Then we ordered the ceviche clasico and the ceviche nekkei tuna so we could try two types. They were both outstanding though I preferred the tuna best. The general manager came over to check on us and our server was very attentive. Will definitely go back for another meal when I return to Miami to visit my friend. It is in a large shopping mall so there is plenty of parking too (The Falls)

beautiful décor, fresh tasty food, but such small portions!! I left feeling hungry still.. and rather expensive

My wife and I went for lunch I had the fried rice with chicken which was very good My wife had the Neptuno salad which she found very good although small for a full entre She had sushi California roll and also was good We accompanied lunch with japanese beer which was served very cold It was a pleasant experience

His request, plus his disorganized and slow service throughout the night, prompted us to request the manager on duty. big mistake

I went to Sokai Sushi Bar with three other adults and one preteen. It took a very long time to place the order. The wait staff used computers to take the orders rather than the traditional order pad. It didn't seem to work well. Food came out it bits and pieces. We looked forward to trying out the place. Won't go back, not because of the food but the service and total lack or anything resembling organization. The food was good, but not worth the pain of ordering and getting it, and then actual paying the over priced total.

This restaurant in within The Falls shopping Center so it probably makes it a good selection for eating a meal while shopping at the mall, not necessarily as a destination to celebrate. It is a simple design, with inside and outside dining but the outside dining is just a few tables stationed on a corridor of the mall-quite uninviting. Menu is varied with both traditional Japanese rolls and Peruvian ceviches, tiraditos and a few main dishes like chaufa and lomo saltado. My friends and I ordered a chaufa to share( prepared well) and several ceviches(classic, nikkei & carritellero) All ceviches were on the expensive side, with base being fish, with no other seafood, unless one wanted calamari for extra $ but we felt they were not worthy of adding because it was just a topping to the ceviche (they were room temperature and soggy which tells me they had not been fried to order) Beware when ordering the level of hotness, ordering hot means fiery hot!!! We ordered the thai donuts for dessert, they were good and were brought out with a candle & staff sung happy birthday.

It this is the 3 rd time I come and it will be the last one. Wine selection bad.Always changing. Service slow. Very slow. Food ok. Not worth it!

I went about 4 years ago, and it was surprisingly delicious. Later I lost the name of the restaurant and couldn’t go back in a long time, but finally I found it. Really looking forward to go back!

We arrived it was relatively empty three tables in the area we sat, we ordered a tartare tuna, it took 45 minutes to arrive and we still had no cutlery or napkins, 15 minutes later spent the waitress leaving a napkin and the Chinese sticks, where we were two people and puts a napkin, the table next to us arrived half an hour later and took them the order first and also sushi which was what we ordered. Very poor service for the prices the restaurant runs.
Unique and delicious
We felt comfortable as soon as we got seated. We got the Wagyu Sliders, Tuna Pizza and two rolls. Everything was extremely yummy. Coffee was good. Staff was great. Will be back to try other menu items. Oh! Almost forgot the Marquesa Roll for dessert. Pleasant but tasted like the chocolate was meant to be darker.
