Great vibe, food & drink

By Kirsten M |

This was around the corner from or accommodations in Belltown Seattle. Great atmosphere, good service. Food and drink was good as well. We spent hours hanging out chatting and no one "pestered us to leave" will return.

Friendly Neighborhood Bar with Excellent Food

By jpfreedman |

We just moved to Seattle and were looking for a neighborhood bar to hang out in. We were walking down the street and the name caught our eye. Really nice family owned place with a good happy hour from 4-6PM. Watched the NFL playoffs there the last three weeks, excellent brunch items. We ate the carne asada entree, really excellent. Great home fries (really hard to do this well) the steak was great and the avocado/chilli drizzle was great. Other times we have eaten off the main menu - the pork belly sliders are great (really good slaw on the bottom), the brisket sandwich was amazing. We went in a few days ago and they were reserving seats for the Super Bowl. What a great idea, we have 2 at the bar. Just show up at 2:30 and no hassle. It has quickly become our go-to place. Friendly bartenders, friendly customers, friendly owners.

Cool spot

By 1MoreTravelGirl |

We went for a drink and dessert after seeing a strawberry shortcake for two which was absolutely perfect. My cocktail was described as gin, grapefruit, rosemary and tonic and came out as a shot of gin in a pretty glass, a slice of grapefruit, a sprig of rosemary and a side bottle of tonic. Good but the goods would’ve been better muddled into the cocktail. Still was happy with the vibe of the place and experience.

Love this place!!!

By stl2naples |

We discovered this place two years ago and it was our first place when we returned. The atmosphere is fun, service is great and the food is fantastic. The garlic roll thing is amazing. The tuna two ways is so fresh and the brisket sandwich is yummy. Amanda is a top notch and knowledgeable bartender with great enthusiasm for all the good things life offers....family, hiking and oh yeah-wine.

Great Belltown Bar

By 2012J_R |

We had tacos and the steak, both were delicious. Friendly staff, service was great and so were the drinks. Great Belltown spot.

Barhopping final stop

By BJ D |

My wife and I were walking back from the arena just sightseeing and barhopping. After we stopped here, we decided there’s no need to go anywhere else to either drink or eat. The people were so accommodating and friendly and the beers were cold and on the spot and Michael and his staff were lights out in the food they served. Buy a sweatshirt then represent back at home. I did. #Tampa.

Good drinks fun atmosphere

By Lizz H |

Stopped in with a few friends, in addition to standard well drinks and a beer selection they have a variety of specialty drinks with fun names. We were there early in the evening, but there seemed to be plenty of seating for a pretty chill night out.

Great for big, loud groups

By 40CR |

First off, there is a gaming convention going on in town, so it is crowded here. Very noisy and pretty hot. Owner has big fan in doorway trying to address issue. Drinks were ok. Would be nice to have more variety in offering of appetizers. We stayed for one drink and then looked for something a little more subdued.

Hidden Gem for great food

By Indah Edlightz |

This bar/ restaurant is a great spot for food, drinks and hanging out with friends. its low key but very accommodating and fun. All the staff have a great sense of humour judging by all the signs and marketing and they also have great recommendations. The kitchen is surprisingly small but damn.. can they deliver great food out of it.. very good food and served quite quickly. few of the items we had definitely deserve some praise.. its not just a pub menu items.. Lots of tvs if you want to catch a game and overall just a really good bar scene and relaxed place to hang out with friends.

So friendly and nice atmosphere

By Julie |

I went here on my first night in Seattle and the bartender was super friendly. Great food and great beer. I went again and the service was just as good, always a positive that the bartender is truly friendly when they remember you. Definitely go here

Auesome Experience

By daveg4343 |

If you go, you have to try the crab nachos. We hey are heavenly. We also shared the he a Pork Belly Sliders. Best pork belly outside of the South. We were there on a Sunday nite and it was packed with lots of energy. Service was good as well.

Cool place

We stopped in for cocktails. The bar staff were attentive and gave suggestions on the micro brews. Met some very nice people. Would go back. Great neighborhood bar. Reasonably priced.

Not just some random bar

By harolduh |

This place is amazing. Great cocktails and even greater food. Don't let the name fool you, my fiance and I will come here because the food is the most memorable part. The constant changing menu items are what keeps us coming back!

Quite the find in Seattle

By Helen R |

This little bar is clean, up beat with reasonably priced food and drink. Happy hour 4-6 had beers less $2 each from retail price and wine and cocktails $7. Chardonnay by the glass just the right mix of oakiness. Food though was something special. Gotta to try the Crab nachos which were huge, flavoursome and just the best!

Good bar. Exceptional kitchen!

By Wendell D |

It doesn't seem fair that such a chill bar could serve food this good - but the kitchen at Some Random Bar would be a stand-out anywhere! The food is organic and local. Our watermelon salad was delicious. The rockfish tacos were topped with a slaw so tasty it should be offered as a side. The pork loin was tender and juicy when sliced thin and was accompanied by a truly inspired succotash that should also be offered as a side. Our personable server, Amanda, recommended a Freakshow wine that was also very good.

Fun place!

By Towleway |

Somebody really put some thought into this place and that person also has a great sense of humor. I mean here's the Sunday funday special...you order a drink, the server brings it and flips a coin. If you call it, your drink is $1. Love it. Food was very good and so was the service. Check this place out.

Worth the walk!

By Ken078 |

We found a listing for this restaurant when we were looking for a place for dinner. It was a bit of a walk from our hotel but once we arrived, it fit the bill. Not a large place, with a well attended bar and tables along the side of the restaurant. We dined on a Friday, so the happy hour was well received and the food was first rate. Half the menu is fixed and half changes every week or so. Our selections were first rate. The staff were great and obviously liked working there - it was Pyjama night and the staff were dressed in their PJs - which added some fun to the evening.

Great place for a drink or watch a game

By tozaisen |

Super cool venue. Lots of good beers on tap. Tvs are accessible, but not intrusive, so it keeps a nice vibe. We had some sliders which were delicious. Would definitely go back.

Definitely going back!

By gpc1 |

Found this little Belltown bar after a Mariners game and what a gem. They have a varied menu and some good beers on tap (like their motto,

Spent time in Seattle before cruise

By Kathy R |

Good food! Had the salmon sliders- excellent. Only complaint about crab nachos was too much lime juice in it. Family had burgers which were also good. Had a nice server. She plays heads or tails and if you win your beer is $1

Nothing Random

By Brad A |

I was visiting Seattle on business and found this gem by pure luck. The menu had so many good items it was difficult to choose from so I had the pork belly sliders. They were so good that I had to return the next night for the melt-in-your mouth brisket sandwich. From the hand crafted cocktails to the excellent beer-on-tap choices, to the friendly owners / wait staff. You must go !

Unexpected stop

By RACKNebraska |

We stopped for quick beer and snack on our walk to the Space Needle. Loved the crab nachos and ahi tuna. Clean cut, friendly server got us headed in the right direction with some $4.00 beers on tap. Clean bar, nice atmosphere, great food.

Cute and friendly bar

By drorli |

I came in at random which fits the name. Very pleasant and hospitable. I sat on the bar alone and the owner was attentive to my needs. I ate a fish sandwich with avocado which was tasty (and a bit messy ...). Sweet potato fries went very well with it. Next time I come to this area I will come there in a less random manner ...

Great spot for drinks and great food

By Roydyn C |

Found this place based on other user reviews. It lived up to the hype. The local beer selection is good, the atmosphere is fun, and the food was very delicious. The entrée section of the menu changes frequently, so you won't necessarily be able to get the meals that others write about. My wife and I started with the signature crab nachos (very yummy) and had the braised short ribs and the house made sausage meal. We both loved our meals, and in particular the ribs were excellent. Happy hour drinks for $3.50 was a nice feature as well! Service was very friendly and attentive.

Rude service, extra star for overall ambiance

By travelinfull |

Very much a neighborhood feel, absolutely not touristy. Drinks are decent, beer selection is so-so. We enjoyed the ambiance, and if in the area would stop in again. We didn't order food, so couldn't comment. Service was efficient, but unfriendly and actually a bit rude. If we would have received better service, I'd have given it 4 stars. I'm sure, depending on who helps you out you might have a better experience overall.

Crab Nachos Exquisite

By Brenna77 |

Patio in the street ! Check it out. How did they get permission? Just a passing comment - we had excellent drinks here. Martini & Gin Tonic. But I am writing this review to praise the crab nachos. I didn't want them, my husband did. WOW GOOD. Its a fair sized meal for 2 with a drink. I liked the dog friendly staff too. Oh and the name of the place is pretty cool.

Good spot

By Alisha O |

Popped in for a couple of drinks, so we unfortunately didn't get to try anything on the menu, as we just came from lunch. Was fairly busy for a sunday. Good sports bar

Perfect, Laid Back Bar!

By Kristen F |

Loved this spot! Was our first stop of the day on a lazy Sunday bar hopping, and we ended up staying for the entire afternoon! Great company, great drinks, great food.

Crab nachos - yum!!

By John B |

Friendly bar in a trendy neighbourhood serving great food til late. Staff friendly. Well worth a visit.

Great staff!

By pro1665 |

The owner ( bartender) and her daughter (waitress) are a great pair. Always smiling and laughing, great sense of humor. The food is top notch, from crab nachos to pulled pork lettuce wraps. Great place to have a drink and a snack.

Great food and service

By Josh V |

We were in town on a Thursday night for just one night. We were wandering around at pikes Market doing tourist stuff but didn't want to eat at an over priced touristy restaurant. We stumbled upon this place while walking back to our hotel and couldn't be happier that we did. This is definitely a local hangout that has regulars so was our kind of place. Had great food that's one offs you won't find at every bar or restaurant. They also have seasonal specials that change. Next time we're in Seattle we will definitely be back.

Casual but quality

By Shaleen D |

My husband and I have been wanting to try this place for a while especially after reading all the great reviews. We came here on a Friday evening at about 5:30pm, right before happy hour ended at 6pm. It was pretty lively but we managed to get a nice corner table right in front of the bar. It was nice to see the owners working really hard and also having fun. The happy hour drink prices are incredible ($6)! In fact, the regular drink prices ($9) are also outstanding, especially for the quality of the drinks. To start, my husband ordered the ‘Bust a Nut’ and the ‘Gin & Jam’. The Gin & Jam was a bit sweet, but that was because of the jam. Both were very well made and consisted of unusual ingredients, which is the recipe to a good cocktail! Next up, my husband ordered an old fashioned and I ordered the ‘Garden of Eden’. Again, very delicious. For food, we started with the duck confit banh mi. It came with a side of pea vines. I’ve never seen pea vines served at a non-Chinese restaurant before. How awesome! We also ordered the crab nachos. This dish was so Seattle. I felt like I was tasting the smells (good smells) of Seattle. I’d never had a nacho dish with crab before, but if you are a crab lover, you will love it. Fair prices, well-made drinks, delicious food with a foodie flare, and sounds of all the greatest hip-hop hits. I’d say this is going to be one of our go-to spots now when we get the chance to come downtown!

Great food and atmosphere

By Jessica B |

We really enjoyed the casual and cozy yet clean and simple atmosphere of this place. We had a friendly server, great cocktails, and delicious food. It did not disappoint.

Loved the cocktails

By MPickle121 |

My daughter and I stopped in to this establishment before heading to dinner. My daughter noticed that they had a key lime pie martini on the menu. Key lime pie happens to be her favorite, so naturally we had to order one. Omg! Fabulous cocktail. One of the owner that served us told us that she and her husband had lived in Florida for 16 years, which it think qualifies them to know how to make a good key lime pie martini. The atmosphere of this bar was very nice. Whether you are stopping in to try one of these fabulous cocktails or something else, you won't be disappointed.

Local and happy

By Neil R |

Looking at bars near our hotel I found this and liked the name. Enjoyable spot with a quirky enjoyable attitude. We enjoyed our drinks here and planned to return for dinner the next day...alas we didn't realize it would be closed, either for Monday or because Labor Day. Would have liked to try the food!

The most random stumble!

By shampoo47 |

My group were walking to Pike Market from our hotel when we randomly saw a happy hour sign for $2 Kumamoto Oysters. The oysters were delicious and we stayed for wines and beers at the bar. The bartender was friendly and gave us some "touring" tips since we were only in Seattle for one night. This was a great pit stop! Check it out if you're in the area.

Great brunch and a fun atmosphere

By Ken M |

I took my family here last summer and we had a great brunch on our way out of town. The bar is lively and fun and the staff are friendly and upbeat. The food is tasty and fresh and the portion sizes are great.

Eclectic Food, Comfortable Atmosphere

By ShannonMarie0385 |

We stopped at this place after reading Yelp reviews and being amused by the name as we were touring the city. The establishment has a nice comfortable atmosphere with a wide variety of food and drinks. We had the chicken wings and chile verde, both of which we enjoyed. This would be a good date place, as well as a place to kick back for mimosas on a Sunday.

Our favourite bar in Seattle

By pugdoggy5 |

This bar has a friendly nieghbourhood atmosphere. The drinks were great. The happy hour offers were awesome. I had the rockfish tacos which. The place had a really good vibe and was not trying too hard. visited twice on our trip for drinks. Good value for cocktails. Mixed excellently

What a find

By Mike O |

We found Some Random Bar after reading a few Trip Advisors reviews. We were looking for a place to eat that was less touristy on our trip to Seattle. What a find! The brisket and grilled shrimp club were outstanding. The restaurant was clean , low key, with great service.

Love this place!

By trailrunner4life |

Great food and drinks! Very friendly, casual place. Burger was fantastic. Location is easy to walk to - this is on our list for every trip to Seattle!

Great Beer good food

By Lee L |

This was fairly close to my hotel so I stopped in for some beer and eats after a day of sightseeing. Foodwise I had the crab nachos which were excellent. Had several beers along with a flight so got to try several good and a couple of ok local beers. Bartenders were great and they had on the Tour of California which was a big plus, followed by the NHL playoffs.

Great Food & Atmosphere

By KPC84 |

I'd drive down there just for the wings. They are amazing, and it's nice to sometimes try something away from buffalo sauce. They fall off the bone and have great flavor and spice. They also have Crab Nachos, which seems weird, but they are super tasty. The Garden of Eden is one of my favorite cocktails on their menu. They use all local products, have local beer, and half their menu changes weekly! The owners are always around, and interact with their guests. You can tell they enjoy what they're doing, and make sure everyone around is having a good time, too. They aren't open on Mondays. That could be a pro or con for anyone, but just more informative here. I live roughly a half hour away, and make trips to Seattle just to hit up this place. I can't imagine anyone ever having a bad experience here. It can get pretty loud, but it's a bar, so expect it.

Awesome low key bar

By Eileen L |

I love the food here and would frequent this bar for dinner. The food is amazing and they have such an interesting menu including ox tail, pork belly, clams, and wet style chicken wings. I love the service and the drinks as well. It is really fun on Saturdays with a DJ and music you haven't heard in a while.

Feel like a local

By Andy W |

A fun place with an interesting menu and great happy hour. We stopped by for an appetizer and happy hour drinks. The garlic mozzarella pull apart bread was delicious. This could be a regular haunt for locals. Alas, we were just visiting.

Stil dreaming about the garlic pullapart....

By stl2naples |

We so enjoyed popping by this bar-a local recommended it. The owners actually work here so the place offers great service in a cool atmosphere. The garlic and burrata bread thing is to die for! My mouth is watering as I type. The tuna was aweome and the brisket sandwich was also out of control. Hope to be back next year!

Local hang out

By tiggergurl |

Found this place because it was one of the only restaurants open late that was within walking distance of our hotel. Limited seating inside but we were lucky and a couple was leaving. Servers were really nice. Food was delicious. We had the crab nachos and the brisket sandwich. Beers were refreshing. It was a bit loud inside but wasn't hard to have a conversation.

Fun Neighborhood Gem

By googinsg |

I enjoy their monthly beer pairing dinners. You'll have to check their website for times dates. The rest of the menu is simple and delicious. They recently got a new chef who seems a lot better than the old one. If you want a local place, this is it.

Great food and drinks

By Teresa K |

Don’t let the name fool you. Amazing cocktails and beer. The menu is not what you’d expect in a bar. The food is amazingly delicious! The have a rotating seasonal food and drink menu. Start off with the crab nachos or cerviche. The Caesar salad, pork tenderloin, brisket sandwich are all outstanding. This establishment definitely does it right.

A High Energy Place with Great Food and Drinks

By Kevin J |

This bar has an interesting and rotating menu both their food and drinks. And the staff is friendly and service good.

Seattle get away

Rocco's pizza was incredibly good. The place was very cool looking and the service was great. There was really nothing I disliked.

Spot-on venue, service, product

By Tom M |

Stopped in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Bartender was well-trained and personable. The cocktails were terrific. Food was great. And ambiance was perfect. Love this place now.

Interesting Martini

By Ronald L W |

The food here was very good. We had the Brisket Nachos. Superb flavor, hot and crunchy! Of great interest is their martini made with Gin, Dolin Vermouth, and a scoop of Blueberry/Blackbery jam. Very interesting flavor, with fruit notes still present, but still dry. Service was fast and friendly.

Recommended by a local

We work very hard trying to avoid mediocre meals while traveling. When a bartender at a nearby brewery recommended this place, I was amused by the name. Even though she described it as upscale bar food, I was not expecting such an amazing evening. Once you slip past the draped doorway, you enter a cozy brick room with plenty of tables and ba seating. There were at least 10 taps of craft beer, numerous wine choices, and taleted bartenders. The hot-buttered rum really hit the spot. The menu was so tempting that I had a hard time deciding. I was completely happy with the chicken breast served on gorgonzola mashed potatoes with broccolini. It will now be the chicken dish that sets the bar to high for most restaurants. From th friendly service to the great atmosphere and outstanding menu, this place has it all.

Some Random is another bar/restaurant

By Philip G |

Some Random is another bar/restaurant within a five minute walk of our new apartment. Looking like a typical Wisconsin tavern with a sports theme, I somehow pissed the barkeep off by referring to Some Random as a “sport’s bar.” Well, in my own defense, Some Random has several huge televisions behind the bar, the female servers wear sport’s jerseys, and there is a bunch of team paraphernalia on the walls. Drinks were strong, and my Chicken Parmigiana was huge and delicious. The brisket was just a bit too sweet for my palate, and I was raised on brisket. What turned me off to “Some Random Bar” was the country music on their sound system. That genre of tunes is just discordant for me. I imagine being shoved in the back of a pick up and left somewhere in a Mississippi bog. It doesn’t represent Seattle at all. Maybe I’m prejudging the place, but I never felt comfortable at “Some Random Bar.”

Best bar in Seattle.

By phlash23 |

My favorite Seattle bar. Good layout, well curated beverage list, and food that is far better than it needs to be. Consistently great service with super friendly staff.

Fun atmosphere with very good food and drinks

By MASTERPC |

The crab nachos loaded with white cheddar cheese, grilled onion, avocado, lime crema, cilantro pesto & aleppo pepper? Delicious! Washed it down with a Black Porch lemonade (George Dickel moonshine, ginger liqueur and organic lemonade).

Random bar is Ok

By devilpup88 |

It basically lives up to its name. We stopped at 430 on saturday before a Mariners game so it wasnt crowded. Drinks were cheap but nothing special.

Nice to give yourself a tip

By Kent G |

I thought the food and service were adequate. However, I was extremely annoyed that when I got the bill I saw that the waitress had given herself a generous tip. That sounds more like a service charge. I wasn't happy, but I didn't feel like trying to argue about it.

Drinks and food were awesome

By Cattflorida |

Wanted to grab some drinks and found this place and so glad we did. We had great drinks and decided to have dinner and the food was excellent! My husband said the burger was in his top 3 favorite of all time!!!!

MUST CHECK IT OUT

By deanmelton |

This is a cool place on off the beaten path, but still located in downtown Seattle. Lots of locals and definitely a great place for crab nachos.

incredibly delicious

By Nicole A |

We chose this bar based on good reviews and proximity to our hostel. I am so glad we did! Bar had a casual atmosphere, with servers in jeans and 90s hip hop belting from the walls. We aren't usually big on cocktails, but the list was so interesting we couldn't help but try a few. All were really different and delicious! We didn't know what to expect from the food, but it was one of the best meals I've ever had! We ordered the duck confit banh mi, served with grilled pea leaves, and the pulled pork sliders with sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious, but the pork sliders were a real favourite (and neither of us is usually big on pulled pork.) If we're ever back in Seattle we will go try the crab nachos - they looked amazing!

First rate👌

By DAROHATH |

Another local recommendation, didn’t disappoint. Love the philosophy….no crap, on tap! Good selection of local brews, the Stoup Powder Tracks Winter Ale was great and I really enjoyed the 10oz Hangar Steak. Keep up the good work

An Average Establishment

By redhead_roaming |

This place had t-shirts and seemed popular but it's really nothing special. We had a drink each but moved on when an obnoxious group of people arrived. There were also people there that seemed like regulars. The staff we did encounter were excellent and friendly.

Great food. Great bar. Great drinks.

By Caitie C |

No complaints here. I had the brisket sandwich and it was heaven. Next time I am in Seattle, I am definitely coming here!

Nice place

By kwdonaldson |

Stopped in for Happy Hour the other day. Has a nice vibe and some great drinks. Staff was very attentive. Ordered the crab nachos which everyone recommended, but while I liked the homemade tortilla chips, the rest fell flat. Not enough crab and other items such as cheese and sour cream. Very dry and needed salsa. Other than that had a great time and their's a nice area outside to sit and enjoy.

Some Random Review

By Josiedee13 |

This place deserves every 5 star review it has and then some! The drinks are amazing, my fav being the gin & jam (and no it's not too sweet). The food is spectacular, especially the notorious crab nachos and pork sliders. The name is an attention grabber and the atmosphere and style are awesome. The staff just puts it over the top with how great they are! Would recommend to anyone and can't wait to go back someday! Wish we had something this great back in Eugene.

Excellent cocktails with delicous food and a casual ambiance - loved it!

By Ann P |

Headed here on our first night of vacation in Seattle. They were very accommodating and changed the channel on the TV so we could watch a basketball playoff game, which was very, very nice. The bartender was awesome, and the food absolutely delicious - definitely try the home made roll with the burrata cheese - absolutely outstanding, as was the fried chicken. Definitely great place to kick back - and love the name! Bought a sweatshirt because I loved the name - and the place - so much. Next time we're in Seattle, we'll definitely be there!

Dont let the appearance fool you-FOOD IS EXCELLENT

By MiltonMan007 |

Most sports bars fail miserably in the quality of their food. HOWEVER, this place is a pleasant surprise. Known mostly by locals, the appetizers, sandwiches, and desserts are EXCELLENT! Bing your vax cards!

Just some drinks

By Luke G |

Me and a group of friends were visiting Seattle and luckily found this bar while roaming around, great atmosphere, the owner and staff are fantastic! So friendly. It was a Sunday and lucky for us they do a special offer: flip a coin to see if your beer is regular price or $1, we obviously had some Vegas luck since we managed 4 beers for $4..bargain! Would recommend to all groups.

Well Designed Bar

By Gary W |

Really nice bar. Seating available at the bar, in booths and outside. Warehouse style bar but well designed decor. Bar and kitchen really well run by friendly and efficient staff. Did not eat but meals looked good. NFL games showing on the televisions. Excellent atmosphere.

Great spot for happy hour

By KC D |

We visited during happy hour. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great and very attentive. Deals are okay as you get a couple dollars off drinks and a few appetizers. The yams and the garlic bread were great. I would definitely recommend a stop in here.

Nice Night in Seattle

By johnc_ong |

I was up and about with my friends in Seattle, and we wanted to chill and get some good drinks. I looked up bars, and the name alone intrigued us, so we went. It gives off the typical bar vibe with it being dimly lit and really chill. We had Grace as our server, and she was super awesome and super laid back. She helped recommend drinks for us, and we took her suggestions for it, and it did not disappoint us. For food, we wanted to get something that we could share as a group, and their crab nachos caught our attention. I shared it with one other friend and it was enough for us, but we have bigger appetites than other people, but if you can't eat a lot, you may be able to split it among more people too. We drank and ate, conversed with Grace, and we overall had a great time. I would highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. I enjoyed the vibe, food, and drinks!

Very cool place!

By Elaine H |

This was almost literally across the street from our hotel. We thought we were going to Finnegan's, but apparently Finnegan's had closed and was now Some Random Bar. What a nice surprise it turned out to be! They only sold local Seattle beers which is what we were hoping for. I whipped out my phone and consulted my Trip Advisor ap and saw that the crab nachos were highly recommended so my husband and I split an order of those. While they were great and we couldn't eat half of it, they will not replace my usual Tex Mex variety, but I would also definitely recommend them. Megan (forgive me if misspelled) was our waitperson and she was such a pleasure. Attentive, helpful, and fun to talk to. Love this place!

Happy hour and nightspot- with food

By JrMushroom |

We came here for a late dinner on a Saturday night. Appetizers, pizza and beer-- you know, the kind of thing you can get anyplace in Seattle. There was nothing wrong with the food- but it was not exciting. It took quite a while to get served and then leave. During this time the bar filled up and became progressively noisier.

VERY NICE!

By Rich Rosell |

On our trip to Seattle we wandered into Some Random Bar - and were glad we did. Nice place, with a relaxed atmosphere, and both indoor and outdoor seating. We had a friendly server - identified as Marshawn Lynch on the receipt HA! - who gave us a few other nearby establishments to check out, all of which we visited and liked. While at Some Random Bar we sat outside, and had a couple of cocktails and some delicious crab nachos. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Funky fun

By Wayne-Librarian |

Friends randomly chose this place for a meet up. Good choice. As it happens, it was Sunday. On Sundays they flip a coin. If you guess correctly, you beer is a buck. If not, you pay regular price. French fries were very good. Wings were pretty good.

Love this place - great beer selection

By Philip M |

Shows what good curation is worth: with on;y 12 taps, this place has a consistently better beer list than many places with 30 taps. The food is unusual and eclectic too - not to mention consistently delectable,

Downtown Belltown Local Restaurant

By sc1009 |

My husband, son and his girlfriend and I had dinner here one night while my husband and I were visiting in April. I had the pork chop..we also had the crab nachos...all were very good. They also have a small raised platform with tables for eating on a nice evening, which we took advantage of...very nice dinner...

Great food and Atmosphere

By Miles S |

We went here for dinner and drinks. server was really nice and helpful. i ordered a cocktail that tasted terrible, not because of the drink, i think it just wasn't in my flavor profile. server was kind enough to offer me a different one which i ended up liking much more. we started with crab nachos. first off, my wife is not a big seafood fan and told me she wasn't going to have any. after i tried it and explained to her how amazing they were she agreed to try them. needless to say, she ended up eating almost half of them. i ordered a shrimp sandwich while my wife got a burger. both of our meals were awesome and we would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a good bite to eat with a cool vibe.

Hit or Miss Bar

By redhead_roaming |

I've come to Random Bar on a couple different occasions. It's sort of hit or miss as to the crowds and atmosphere. One time, it's giggling girls in short skirts and frat boys drinking too much and the next, people at different tables are playing charades together and having a great time. The wait staff are always excellent, though, and seem to know how to handle every personality type.

Nice find

By ochs27 |

Found this bar while walking and sightseeing. Food was very good, service was great and the atmosphere was fantastic. I highly recommend some random bar, be prepared to wait for a table

By julesandchris22 |

Had a great time watching basketball finals. Ordered nachos and chicken wings. I think they are the best I have ever had.

Great bar

By Jeff B |

We did not eat here but my brother and I stopped in for a drink based on the name. The food smelled good but where this bar truly excels is the attention of the proprietor to his clients and creativity and attention to detail with drinks. They have some fantastic concotions that I had never tried before. if I were a local to Seattle I would definitely frequent this little place. Extraordinary!

Super friendly, cool bar!

Only found this place on our last night in Seattle. Highly recomend for awesome cocktails, friendly service and cool vibe. Happy hour the best we found for choice and value. Will be our first destination on a return visit to the city! Cheers Mike, wish this was our neighbourhood bar!

Somewhat pretentious, but nice.

By Daveflstc07 |

Very nice find based on the previous reviews and our location. Easy to get to from downtown Seattle and especially from Pike Place/Waterfront area. My wife and I decided to just stay at the bar and I believe we just missed happy hour. Their prices were still in align with other local bars and "gastropubs". Our barmaid was very friendly and made great recommendations. While I felt they were a bit pretentious, the menu really speaks for itself. My wife ordered their Malibu Bay Breeze which she said was very good, but not very strong. I ordered their Lucille IPA which was good enough to order 2. We had their pull apart garlic bread which was excellent. It's basically a cinnamon bun style garlic bread with garlic infused as well as a soft fresh mozzarella on the side for eating or dipping.

Gold found in Seattle

My wife and I visited this restaurant on a recent trip to Seattle. It is a fun bar with the owner as the bartender. The longer we stayed there the more fun it was. Mike is a person who love his business and it shows. The brisket nachos were amazing, highly recommended. The burger was also amazing. We totally enjoyed the visit and highly recommend you to visit!

Great late night place!!

I went with friends for a birthday party last night. I was impressed with the atmosphere and great drinks and service by Gene the bartender. I will be bringing friends back for sure!

Belltown bar with good food

By Charles F |

Our son, traveling with us, suggested that we go to "some random bar" but it was not until we arrived that I understood that this is the name of the place. They have a nice selection of local craft brews and excellent comfort food. There are several TVs if you want to catch a football game. The noise level is moderate, enough to seen lively but not so much that conversation is impossible. This was a good choice on a cold damp night in Seattle.

Tasty sliders

By Imhotep2 |

Had pork belly sliders with fries. Well prepared but some may consider 2 slider and fries at $15 little costly. Good selection of beers.

Delicious Brunch!

By Sherry Y |

Brunch was absolutely delicious! Best meal we have had on this trip. Highly recommend the shrimp club and the country fried steak.

Very good food

By Debbie S |

Dropped on this by accident while walking to another eatery. Really good food, chicken wings were gorgeous, all of us enjoyed the food here. Worth a 5 Star review.

It may be random, but it was extraordinary!

By Buddhajuice |

Went there for brunch on Sunday. Had great creative cocktails as well as excellent friendly service from Chris and Amanda. I had the chicken fried steak after Chris recommended it, it was excellent. We also had the shrimp club as well as the mashed potato omelet. There were multiple moaning people at my table as the food and drinks were just that good. They also have a beer promotion where they flip a coin and if you win you get your beer at a discount. Great place for fun, food and drinks with excellent hosts. Highly recommend this random place.

We aren't drinkers.

We went to Some Random Bar in the middle of Sunday afternoon. It wasn't crowded. We shared the garlic pull apart. It's a fried dough served with fresh mozzarella and aioli. It was a little salty for my tastes, but I think most people would like it. I had the brisket sandwich. The meat was lean and tender, just how I like it. My daughter had their burger which she liked a lot. Service was attentive and pleasant.

Why can't I give more stars???

By Veronica B |

I have to admit I came here because of the name. I stayed because the beer is amazing. The "Nutty Squirrel" was the best and I probably had more than one. Our server, Catherine, was amazing and the entire bar was just crazy fun. I was sad that we don't have one in Colorado.

Fantastic Food

Fantastic food. The extremely high quality suprised us. The pulled pork tacos were yummy, and the best Mac n Cheese I've had in the US. Good service too.

Great Vibe !!

Fabulous little bar/Restaurant with a sidewalk deck which was great as the night we went it was quite warm. Great service, food was food, great atmosphere. Really enjoyed it !!

Two brews and crab nachos

By edyalung |

This place have the 2 things i look for a pub/bar - good local brew IPA and they have 2 that i tried and really liked - Cloudburst’s “for your consideration ipa” which is hazy and then Reuben’s Brews’ “azacca crush ipa” sumptuously citrusy. A good brew is always best paired with tasty snacks and crab nachos stole the show.

Fun place for good food and drink

By Charles T |

We wanted a place with good food and drink. We didn't have to wait long to get a table for three. The waiter was fast and attentive. The food was very good and we all enjoyed our drinks. The place was packed with a young and happy crowd. Well worth a visit. Perhaps a tad pricey to be a regular spot.

Appetizers and drinks

We had the cutest waitress that helped us decide what to eat. Obviously, we went with the crab nachos. There were plenty to share and flavored perfectly. I'm not a cilantro fan, but it had big leaves easy to pick off. My blood orange cider complimented it perfectly. All of their drafts are local brews. Super tasty!

Noisy

By Seapetal64 |

The staff and service are great. My only issue with this place is after only 35mins, my ears were ringing and this was on a Thursday night when I thought it would be a little quieter. It's a shame because I thought that this might be a regular. I have to look after my ears, so unfortunately I'll not be returning.

Superb bar ! Great food and service

By ANDY K |

This bar is well worth the gentle 20 minute walk from Pike Place market to enjoy a lovely taste of Seattle. From the minute we walked through the door we felt at ease. The service from all the servers and the manager was first class and Amanda was really great. From a tremendous selection of ales on tap and I really enjoyed the Figurehead, to a great selection of wines and cocktails this bat has something to hopefully please everyone. In the cocktails we really enjoyed the Pina Colada and Coffee Old Fashioned. My wife also rated the Sangria. Also check on line for Happy Hour details. To eat we had a delicious plate of BBQ Nachos for $16. Please give it a go !

Great happy hour cocktails

By Arthur K |

They have some really good cocktails and during happy hour (M-F 4-6pm), they're only $6 instead of $9. While the cocktails aren't the type you'd find at Canon, these simple drinks are tasty and pack a good punch. Food is also solid here, but unfortunately are not on special during happy hour.

Local gem

By VacationPlanner6 |

Great bar providing relaxed, friendly atmostphere for drinks and food. Crab nachos are out of this world! Marguerita was one of the better ones I've ever had. Owners friendly, informative, attentive, yet never felt smothered nor rushed. Would love to return next time I'm in Seattle.

Lucked into Some Random Bar

By JoeyJoJoJrShabbadu |

I'd actually planned to meet friends at The Innkeeper, but they weren't open yet for lunch on Saturday, so I wandered down and serendipitously happened across Some Random Bar. Found seats on their (dog-friendly) patio out on the street, and it was perfect -- tasty food (delicious crab nachos!) and local beers, excellent service... it was just what a lazy Saturday afternoon in the sun called for. Perfect!

Two Words: Crab Nachos

By mimmet |

My wife and I stopped here for a light supper one evening on our recent visit to Seattle. The place was packed so we enjoyed a spot on their little sidewalk seating area. We noshed on the crab nachos, which I will remember forever and hope to have again. I also got some of their local pineapple hard cider which was sweet and refreshing. Our waitress was quick, friendly, and had good advice about the food.

Great find in Belltown

By Jaclyn P |

My husband and I found Some Random Bar on our last night out in Seattle. It was a great, casual vibe with friendly service. Our food was great (the crab nachos) as were our drinks (my favorite was a Sangria called It's F**king Summer). Highly recommend.

Late night emergency... Some random bar to the rescue

By Diesel222_2 |

My wife and I had just returned from an all day trip to Portland... It's 11 pm we are starving , found this random bar on trip advisor and so off we went, great atmosphere, good drinks and the food was incredible... I had the brisket sandwich and it was amazing and my wife had the hamburger and thought it was incredible as well. Next time we will not come as a last resort but as a first choice!!

Understated but awesome!

By usertippy |

There is nothing fancy about Some Random Bar, but the great customer service and excellent food and drinks will make you keep coming back. A must visit!

"Great food and service"

By TravelbugSEA |

Just stumbled onto this place on New Years Eve. We happened to get the last table by the window. Such great atmosphere and loved the service. Their food is great, definitely try the pork belly. Been there a couple of times after that, and it's all really good. It's family owned, and I believe our waitress/bartender is the daughter of the owners. Always been in the industry. Really admire that. The soundtrack over the speakers is awesome. Describes 'Random". Definitely going back soon.

Nice atmosphere

Only local Seattle brews on tap and very helpful and informative bartender. Didn't have food but enjoyed hanging out here.

Nice joint!

Enjoyed this Lil spot! The place is small, but the staff was great and they drinks were delicious. One of the few places that let in sunshine and was completely dark inside.

Great Happy Hour Venue

By WilsyPV |

Roaming around Seattle on a cold pre-snow Thursday afternoon and we were looking for a place to see the game and have some libations and chow. After some research, we settled on Some Random Bar – close to our VRBO and a good rep from the locals. Easy to find and it had a welcoming feel. Our waitress was fantastic, briefing us on the beers on tap and how best to eat the crowd favorite Crab Nachos (Guava/habanero hot sauce sprinkled on each chip). The bar got more crowded as the evening went on, but it was a friendly bunch and we enjoyed the time we spent there. The Nachos more than lived up to their reputation and the hot sauce did indeed add to the enjoyment of the dish. We will return.

Good Happy Hour find

By brandyjo11 |

We ended up at Some Random Bar right at 4pm, which happened to be the time of opening. The place was quickly busy but the bartenders were very nice and the specialty drinks were good. Especially the rhubarb mojito. $6 happy hour specialty drinks.

Best Breakfast Ever!!

By DanV-Aust |

Let me be honest - I LOVE food! Nothing makes me happier than food on my plate! On a week long work trip to Seattle, a couple of colleagues took me here for the Chicken Fried Steak and a Bloody Mary!! I’ve heard about Chicken Fried Steak but I’ve never had it before!! Straight to the point!!! The Chicken Fried Steak was quite simply the best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had!! (And I’ve had a lot of cooked breakfasts!!) Cap it off with a Brilliant Bloody Mary (Or 2😳😳) and great service!! If I could’ve gone back this morning to try it again I would have ... but needed to get on a plane back home to Singapore!!! I will be back!!

Great little bar/restaurant

By Dennisvj |

Just arrived, not terribly hungry, but had a very good martini and good wings. The wings were baked/glazed, not fried. Very tasty. Highly recommended for happy hour or very good menu, a clear step above "pub grub."

Good food, good service

By tasciari |

We had the vietnamese chicken meatballs and the crab nachos along with some beers. My husband and I both enjoyed the food. Our waitress was very nice.

Great Bar

By S S |

We stopped here our first night in Seattle and it was the perfect place after a long day of traveling....and by far my favorite bar of our trip. I did not get the name of either bartender, but they were both awesome. This is a great, low key bar with a very laid back vibe and good decor. We had good beer and crab nachos, which were fabulous. Next time we are in Seattle, this will be our first stop.
