Every time I come in town I have a tradition of eating here. Never been disappointed. Took my husband with me this past weekend. He definitely enjoys meat, but he could not get over how delicious the food was. Need to come to Atlanta more often

The food was just outstanding, especially when you are into vegan food. The service was very friendly. The wait times for the food could have been a little bit faster though. In general, both thumbs up!

Stopped here during the Atlanta trip with my plant-based buddy. Modest exterior hides a jewel of a restaurant. Vegan and vegetarian food only, no problem. Food was amazeballs. I personally fell deeply in love with the Jericho Rice, but my buddy appeared to have fallen into a trance eating the BBQ Tofu. The Mac and Cheese was supposed to go back to the room with us but we ate it all on the spot. This is a vegan soul food place, yes. But at its heart its about good, good cooking. These flavors, the textures, the sauces - holy s--t. This food is SO GOOD. The vibe inside is modest decor, sweet and attentive service, soft music and ceiling fans on all day. I loved it. They have a good to-go set up as well if you want to take it back to the room. I didn't have time for a second visit this trip, but will visit this place every time I'm in Atlanta. And 10 Stars for Horatio, the kitchen man who I met chilling outside. The kindest, sweetest and gentlest soul with a smile that will melt your frozen California heart into a puddle of chocolate sauce. Coming back to see you. Thanks for making my day.

My mother is vegan and we took her here to eat when she was in town. The service was very slow, the water was served luke-warm with no ice, I had to remind them about the drinks we ordered. I did enjoy the ginger root drink when it was served. The food was OK, I had the gyro and it wasn't bad. The worst part was each dish came out with 5 or more minutes between the 4 dishes, slow, one dish at a time. The atmosphere left a lot to be desired. My mother said she enjoyed the vegan food, but my wife and I thought the place a bit lacking all around.

BBQ cauliflower was very good, perhaps slightly overcooked Jamaican Dinner was excellent! Cornbread was good but a tad dry Took over 45 minutes to get our food

just as the name implies, soul vegetarian food. my wife and daughter are vegetarians, i am not but do eat vegetarian mostly. we all enjoyed our food. this was our second time eating here and it was one of the things my wife was looking forward to doing in atlanta.

I stumbled upon this restaurant by finding it on Trip Advisor. I will say that I was not disappointed. I am vegetarian not vegan and this was my first vegan meal. Tasty does not describe it adequately enough. I ordered the country fried steak I think. It was their house made vegan protein that they call "Kalechop" it was AMAZING! If you are in the Atlanta area and want to try vegetarian/vegan cuisine. Go. It's really good food for a reasonable price, and you will leave full.

The veggie burgers are wonderful. And the restaurant's specialty, Kalebone, is not to be missed.

Let me say that I did not give a five star because the proprietor was on the phone for the first few minutes of our arrival. He should have been more professional. The food was great! A little too much BBQ sauce on my tofu. The mac and cheese was great, as well as the cornbread. The chef, makes his own vegan cheese. Awesome! The collards were good; but, not great. I would recommend and I shall return with more friends. Oh, I had the chocolate carob cake. It was very tasty.

I enjoyed eating at the Soul Vegetarian restaurant twice on May 15, 2018. For lunch I ordered a vegetable plate, which included a side salad and three side selections. For my side selections, I chose sweet potatoes, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese. The sweet potatoes were delicious. The collard greens were tasty, without excessive seasoning, so that the taste of the greens came through. The macaroni and cheese did not taste nearly as good as I remember regular macaroni and cheese tasting before I began seeking to adhere to a vegan diet, but that's true of other vegan macaroni and cheese I've eaten, too. My side salad was very good. For my evening meal, I chose a sandwich platter, which consisted of a veggy burger, side salad, and herb potato. The sandwich, salad, and potato were all tasty. I only drank tap water, which satisfied me. It was served at room temperature, which was okay with me, but I guess they would have provided ice upon request. The drinks on the menu included "Ginger Root Drink" which I would like to try on a future visit to this restaurant and Atlanta. The menu states "All of our Dishes are 100% Vegan." The menu calls the restaurant "Soul Vegetarian II,' so I guess there may be another location somewhere in Atlanta. The restaurant is located on Highland Avenue next door to the Highland Inn where I stayed overnight. And it is within walking distance of the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum and the Carter Center. At least two Atlanta MARTA city buses have stops near the restaurant. I received quick, friendly service at Soul Vegetarian, and prices were reasonable. I recommend persons in the area consider visiting this restaurant for a meal, even if you are not seeking to adhere to a vegan diet.

I really like the food here. Service was slow..but what can you expect..they had one person doing everything. Although she appeared to be overworked, her attitude was very professional and upbeat. The portions are a nice size. The soy ice cream was delicious! I requested my favorite, chocolate chip mint. The water is served room temperature. So if you like it with ice, you'll have to ask for it. Please avoid parking in the back..it is not reserved for Soul vegetarian. You will be towed! So allow yourself time to find parking on the street. The menu offers options for all...not just vegans. Will definitely return!

Outstanding entrees for the vegan diner. The barbecue twists are delicious and unique. The collard greens are fresh and flavorful. Easily one of the best places for a vegan to dine in metropolitan Atlanta.

Seriously. If you have non-veg friends that think vegan good can never be delicious or satisfying.... take them here. If you are a lover of soul food... go here. If you are vegan... LIVE HERE. Cannot say good enough things about this place.

The bbq kalebone was good, but the mac'n cheese was great! Don't forget to park across the street, the service was good and friendly.

I had just turn completely vegan before visiting Atlanta, GA. I looked up vegan restaurants, and this one of course caught my eye, because it was soul food without meat and animal products. I grew up on soul food so I had to give this a try. I was very impressed. The food was delicious. My sister, who isn't a vegan, loved their food too. We loved it so much that we ate there the next day. While the food was great, the service could have been better. I'm not saying the servers were rude or anything, but they rarely smile. When servers don't smile, it makes me feel uncomfortable. But this will not stop me from going again. If there food wasn't so good, I probably would never go again. Excellent customer service means a lot to me. I like to feel welcome.

The staff and customers seem equally enthusiastic about vegan food. What ison offer is really different and delicious. No frills restaurant and take out also available

The service was great & the food was ok. The moisture wasn't completely removed from the tofu or the firmest style wasn't used (perhaps both) but the texture was a little too mushy for my taste. Collard greens could have used a bit more seasoning. I would give it a 3.5

I don't know if the food wasn't that great, or that I just didn't like the food. We were 1 of 3 tables of customers and the wait took forever. Maybe there was just 1 waitress and 1 cook, I don't know. Not overly friendly. My daughter is vegetarian so maybe you should take what I say with a grain of salt. I don't mind vegetarian food, but maybe my palette isn't as discerning as hers. I just wasn't impressed. Maybe we'll try again one day.

I loved the southern meat and three approach plus all the great extras. Service was fast and friendly. Great icecream dessert. Yum!

Was just passing through Atlanta and looked this place up— definitely not disappointed. The mac and cheese was perfection, the homemade BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy, the kale bone was awesome, and the greens were money 🤙🏼. Service was quick and friendly. I read a couple of reviews for the other location that complained about plating and the atmosphere. It’s a mom and pop bbq place. It feels home-y and the food speaks for itself. 🙌🏼

Likes: (1) All the dishes are 100% vegan (even the ice cream & other deserts). (2) Prompt, POLITE service.... which seems to be lacking in the restaurant industry as of late. (3) Older building reminiscent of 1950's-60's lunch counter type vibe (without the lunch counter). (4) Take-out and delivery available Dislikes: (1) Parking ~ mostly street parking but there are a couple of spaces located in the rear that is not designated for the Highland Inn parking (which is adjacent to Soul Vegetarian).

Yummy BBQ Kalebone, mac 'n' cheese and cornbread. Collards were very salty, but I think they like them like that in the south. Great to have a healthy meal while on the road. No alcohol is served here.

Good clean food. Love the eggless salad with yummy dressing and also the jeruselum rice dish and hebrew fries.

I've been a vegetarian for a little over a year. I decided to stop by Soul vegetarian based on reviews that I read. Sadly to say I so disagree with the reviews... the food was AWFUL. I wanted to play it safe and start with a vegetable plate. I got mac and cheese, sweet potatoes, collard greens and corn bread. I'm not sure how vegans make collard greens and sweet potatoes but the texture and taste did not in any way resemble vegetarian sweet potato and greens. The sweet potatoes were gummy and chewy, collard greens overcooked and tastes like vinegar, and the mac and cheese was dry and all I could taste was hint of sour cream, and the bread let's just say it tastes like undercooked cornbread very chewy/gummy. I would never go back to this place! If vegan food taste this way I think I will continue being a vegetarian. Sorry for the bad review but I wouldn't refer this place to anyone.

We first went to the original location, but felt like the neighborhood might be sketchy, so came here instead. Not fancy, no real atmosphere, but if you like healthy, vegan food, this is a real find! The barbecue tofu was awesome - it had a definite kick. The tofu cutlets were really tasty too - the broccoli was fresh and the vegan butter for the baked potatoes was awesome. Overall, this is someplace I would definitely go back to, and if you're used to eating healthy vegetarian/vegan, definitely give it a try.

We enjoyed our experience at Soul Vegetarian. So nice to have a variety of vegan options. So kind of our niece to take us here as she is not vegetarian or vegan. She & I had had the brunch which we enjoyed with quite generous portions. My husband had the veggie platter and it was just okay. We also had ice cream & it was very good.

I love going to Soul Vegetarian. The staff is always so kind and they make some of the most delicious veg food in the city. It is rarely very crowded, but it is best to not be in a rush because fine vegan soul food takes time! My favorite dish is the combo plate with barbecue kale bone twists. It's a generous portion so there is always some left over. The cornbread they serve it with is delicious too.

The place seems a little short staffed when I first arrived to be seated but once seated my order came fairly quick. The food exceeded my expectation. Will definitely go back.

I am alway happy to visit Atlanta because I get to eat here. The food is absolutely delicious and the people are as nice as can be. A friend brought me a sandwich from here, many years ago, while on a layover at the airport and I have been hooked ever since. I found out today they have a mobile unit too, so look for them at the outdoor festivals.

I was impressed by the mac and cheese considering it was vegan.

I had something bean curdish and swett potato something. Needless to point out, I'm not very well versed in Veggie. It is cafeteria style and you look through the glass at what you may want to venture trying. I had a ScoutMob and said what the heck, I'm up for new things. I asked teh server to let me taste a few items and I settled on my entree. Which I must admit I really enjoyed.

Food was good...got veggie burger and devoured it. Also got the buffalo cauliflower but couldn't finish bc it was too salty. A friend got the "steak" with Mac and "cheese" and both were savory and good. I think if u r a raw vegan or mostly raw these foods will seem salty to you as they did for me (I'm mostly raw). Service was nice but took a long time for the food to come out even though there weren't too many ppl.

I've been eating at Soul Veg for 6 years, and it's always wonderful every time! The staff is kind and friendly, and the food's always delicious. My favorites are the mac and cheese, country fried "steak", and their ice cream, especially made into a milkshake. Soul Veg is always a must for every Atlanta trip!

The good reviews were spot on. Simple, good food and I went for the Mac and Cheese, corn bread and kale. As a vegetarian trying to make the vegan transition Soul Vegetarian is going to make it a lot easier for me.

The food was very good, the service was great as well!!! They also have fresh juices, cant beat that

The food is excellent. I've eaten at this location and the other for years. I've never been disappointed. The main problem is parking. There's a hotel next door with creepy transexual parking enforcement in filthy Kia. S/he is black but tends to boot black people not headed to the hotel. If you're not black, you get a pass. If not for the creepy transexual who lurks in the parking lot, this would be a perfect place to eat.

Ate there three times over 2 days...lunch was especially good as it gets very busy at night. Nothing fancy but good creative vegan cooking.

Surprising yummy! I hadn't visit Soul Veg for over a decade, but was pleasantly surprised to find my meal, hot and yummy. The service was friendly and the restaurant was basic but clean and comfortable. Conveniently located with parking in the back.

The food here is amazing. Don't visit ATL without going here. It is traditional southern food, all vegan. Their own brand of soy ice cream, and their carrot cake, are highly praised.

This location proves to be heads and tails above their original location in SW Atlanta. I had the Potato Salad (available only on the weekends, first-come-first-serve), Eggless Bowl, Mac'n'Cheese, Collard Greens, Red Velvet Cake, and a taste of the Mint Chip ice cream. Everything was yummy! The biggest surprise was the Eggless Bowl, which is vegan Egg Salad. It blew my mind how delicious it was. My husband had the Country Fried Kalebone with brown rice, gravy, and Mac'n'Cheese. He enjoyed every bite...including a few bites of my food as well. The vegan ice cream was not as smooth as traditional ice cream, but was very good. Our server was efficient and friendly, though not as quick. This was simply because she was the only one serving an entire FULL restaurant by herself. I mean, she was the cashier, the waitress, and the busboy. Kudos to her!

This was very basic, homemade fare! But tasty and reasonable portion sizes! It's a religious place, but don't let that put you off, if your veggie, you'd be missing a treat

Loved it. Great salad. Delicious and creamy Mac and Cheese. Southern Collards...but healthy (no bacon grease or lard). And the meat alternative (kalebone) was very good. Reminiscent of BBQ Meatloaf. Also the salad and dressing were simple but excellent...tahini based. Ambience was lacking, but the articles in the wall about the Black Hebrews were very informative. I will definitely return.

My husband and I stayed at The Highland Inn, and while he is vegetarian, and I am vegan, we were anxious to try this restaurant just next door to the hotel. Our teenaged daughters were tired, and opted out of coming along, and they really missed out on an incredible dining experience. The food was just incredible, and the best vegan place I have ever dined at. We are planning to go back to Atlanta in the summer, and we definitely plan to dine there again.

My husband and I have been living a Vegan lifestyle as a 30 day challenge, and I was told about this restaurant. Excellent choice! My husband had the Kalebone twist and Mac and cheese, I had a veggies plate..Mac and cheese, collard greens and yams with cornbread, and my mother had the Jerusalem Rice plate (can't remember the name), it was ALL delicious!!! I definitely recommend this restaurant, as they have several items on the menu that sound delicious. We will definitely be back!

Sweet potato pie, collards, mac'n'cheese . . . it's a vegan Southern heaven! Absolutely delicious. Friendly service too.

I just had the best vegetarian lasagna in my life, and I've had many before. (It was a lunch special, not on the menu.) Having their collards as a side was not a good choice, combination-wise. Good, but another side would have paired with the lasagna better. The sweet potatoes were perfect, not too sweet and cooked to perfection (firm not mushy). I will definitely remember this place on my next trip to Atlanta!

I stop by here every trip to Atlanta. By far the most interesting food in town. A great take on southern dining

Good food, tasty and fresh, good variety for vegan and vegetarians. Only complaint was service was a bit slow and lacking.

The food is EXCELLENT, staff very accommodating. We had the Ginger Infused drink, split pea soup, barbeque ToFu, Burger and excellent cornbread. Prices are very reasonable and this would satisfy even meat eaters.

My wife and I have eaten vegetarian all over North America. Soul Vegetarian has some of the best! We dined at the location on the east side, surprisingly the first customers there on a Thursday at 11am. We parked along the adjacent street, as the lot behind the restaurant will tow your vehicle (Don't miss the signs posted warning Soul Vegetarian customers). Staff was awesome, the restaurant has a home-like feel, and the food is outrageously tasty. The Country Baked Steak is one of the best dishes I've eaten in quite some time, vegetarian or not. The side dishes accompanying them are even tastier. The faux macaroni and cheese is amazing, rivaling the rendition of upscale vegetarian/vegan restaurants on the west coast. If there is a weakness, it may be the kalebone. My wife and I didn't particularly care for it (others seem to love it). The consistency is a tad chewier than we'd prefer, and didn't seem to have a distinct flavor. The Yams rivals my mother's (her yams are awesome), so don't forget to include them as a side. I could continue on, but I believe you understand the importance. Eat here.

Visiting in Atlanta and looking for vegan food? Well, look no further! This is the place to go. Excellent food, service, atmosphere and price! Anytime I come to ATL, I always spend every night and most days eating at Soul Vegetarian No 2. This place has been around a while. I was here a few years ago and it's still in the same location. There is also Soul Vegetarian on the other side of town. Same owner. Either place is good. I full 3 course meal less than $25. That includes the tip! That is a great price for vegan food this good. Try his place and I know you will like it. Even non vegans eat here!

Do not let the quiet look of this restaurant fool you. It is the best vegan food ever! The most friendly and gracious servers.

I see that this place has great reviews, then I must of gone on a bad night. As a Vegan for over 17 years let me tell you that the food here was awful. I ordered their macaroni and cheese and their BBQ wings. The Macaroni and cheese had so much garlic I could barely taste the actual food and their wings had so much BBQ sauce that I felt like I was eating soup. Unless I missed something then maybe I should go back because I was extremely disappointed in this place

Not a vegan, but we tried this restaurant and it was quite good. I had the Garvey Burger, which was delicious. The herbed potatoes were a little overpowering and some were underdone. The salad was very good. We also tried the fried tofu appetizer with a dipping sauce and mac and cheese, which was delicious. Ice cream was also very good. Nice place, friendly service and not expensive.

Three of us had lunch and enjoyed a completely vegan meal. The Mac and cheese is amazing and their milk shakes are better than the non-vegan variety. The setting is a bit lacking and holds us back from 5 stars. The service was very good however.

Our meal was delicious! The BBQ kalebone (made from seitan) was especially flavorful and yummy. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Prices were very reasonable.

Nice to seek out slightly unusual restaurants as tourist. Food was very much as described and tasty while being slightly different from 'typical' vegetarian restaurant food. Service was efficient though slightly distracted, it did look a bit old also but this and the vibe just gave it character. Prices reasonable and parking on street across from restaurant in residential area was no problem.

We wanted to like this place as it has good reviews and we tried some of their food at VegFest. Unfortunately, we were thoroughly disappointed. The service was very bad, mainly due to the fact that the girl who was serving us did not know the menu well and had to keep asking the other server/owner about the menu items. We ordered the food and then five minutes later added a corn bread to the order. We waited and waited and after we had eaten our main meal we asked her how long the corn bread was going to be and if they were making it from scratch and she said it's coming out. We heard her then ask for a corn bread and they gave it to her straight away. The food had potential but unfortunately, we weren't able to taste much of it as everything was too spicy! I must say that I enjoyed the Garvey Burger but unfortunately, the fries were way too spicy. They seem to add the spiciness to everything to give it flavor. No need! They should mention that they are spicy on the menu! It just says "Herb Potatoes". We won't be back. The only reason we are giving two stars is because of the Burger. Otherwise, we would have given it one star.

We were staying at the Highland Inn and when we pulled up I was so excited to see this restaurant. There are no vegetarian restaurants let alone vegan restaurants where I am from so this was an exciting find for me. At first appearance, I wasn't so sure, because the place didn't look so great. It is quite run down and old looking. The seat I sat in was lumpy and very uncomfortable and the lighting was horrible. But frankly, none of this mattered once the food came out, it was simply delicious. I wanted to go back every day. I had the baked cauliflower and the burger. I liked the cauliflower so much I didn't half finish my burger. My husband is not a vegetarian or vegan in fact, very much a carnivore. He got the kale bone which had nothing to do with kale or bone. I tasted it and it was good. He liked it very much also. It was plenty of food. Now for the ice cream, oohlala. I had the butter pecan because they were out of the chocolate and it ended up being a good choice. Service was just ok. Atmosphere was just ok. Cleanliness was questionable at best but really again, the food was so good nothing else really mattered. Anytime I'm in Atlanta I will certainly eat here.

The food is vegan old school, which means it's made from scratch. Definitely a tasty throwback, but only parts of the menu were on offer. The service was a bit lackluster, but they were patient as we navigated the reduced menu. Wouldn't mind some real plates and silverware, as opposed to styrofoam and plastic. The corn bread was legit!

When in town visiting friends I got take out from Soul Vegetarian. Although the wait was a little longer than expected it was totally worth it. I got the pocket gyro meal and loved it! I don't know exactly what kalebone is, but I would totally eat it again!

We found this great vegan restaurant by the place we were staying- super friendly owner- good selection of choices and reasonably priced- found out it was part of a chain found in other parts of the world

Ordered the small combo salad sampler for $7 and knew from the first bite that I made the right choice. The kale, carrot, and mock egg with a generous base of sprouts was satisfying. I'm not vegan but wanted more, especially the vinegar-dressed kale. Right next to the Highland Inn and Ballroom, Soul Vegetarian is on my go-to eats list from now on.

I ate here tonight with my family. The service was slow, and generally poor, and the food was mediocre. Also, the parking is awful (which is not the fault of the establishment and this does not impact my rating. It’s just a heads up for others)! I will not return!

A restaurant that is open half the week? May as well not even exist. It's like the owner *kinda* wanted to open a restaurant but didn't follow through all the way. Commitment issues much?

I had the "burger". with fries and it was tasty. I went there because my parents are veggie heads. They and my girlfriend had the vegetable plate. Mac and cheese tasted metallic.. interesting. The collard greens were a bit plain. Sweet potatoes were good. If youre not gonna eat me that is ok. But add some flavor.... I will keep trying new restaurant and new cuisine. I have tried Soul Vegetarian... Now for somewhere new.... thanks Did I mention that it was almost 50$ for one burger and three plates that were basically side dishes? Bring your check book.... youll need it.

The food is good when they don't have them young kids in the kitchen burning the food up. Had no issues with this restaurant until they stuck kids in the kitchen. Burnt everything in crocs and no hairnet.

One liked it: one hated it. The one who liked it ordered the country “steak” with gravy, collards, and Mac n' cheese. The collards were good - not great - and not very hot. The Mac n' cheese was good, a little thick, not very hot, and I could really taste the nutritional yeast. The gravy was tasty - maybe a little salty but good - and got better with each bite. The service was slow and weird: waiter brought out the food and misidentified the burger so we were really confused as to what we were eating. Also, it had condiments all over it, and we had asked earlier for just lettuce and tomato. Sent it back, and when it returned, it turned out to be lackluster and tasteless. Most frozen veggie burgers are better. And the potatoes that accompanied it were hard as a rock - totally undercooked. Didn't even finish them. Probably wouldn't return, although one of the meals was decent.

Guys let me tell you, I have a love for Southern food and I've been missing a lot of it after becoming vegetarian. I mourn the loss NO MORE!! Soul Vegetarian 2 is THE place in Atlanta to go for vegetarian and vegan Southern food. Things to know: Parking is difficult, but you can find free parking nearby. Just be prepared to take some time. The restaurant does not have central air. While this doesn't bother us, I know that others can find it too hot in the summer. The menu is a-la-carte, so be sure to order those sides too! Try: The mac & cheese, the fresh ginger juice, and show up on the weekends before 2pm for the BEST brunch in town. House-made veggie sausages, home fries, and hotcakes!

The broccoli was perfectly cooked, the garlic pea soup was terrific, the toasted pita bread was delicious with the carrot salad. The menu is a bit limited and the wait staff was a little stand-offish, as in not chatty or engaging, but professional and efficient. Would readily go back again.

Everything I expected it to be. My non-vegan friends enjoyed every bite. potatoes salad, mac and cheese, collard greens all delicious and no complaints! And try the desserts too! Quiet atmosphere. The only con: parking SUCKS.

(Sept. 2018) After spending a day in Atlanta for my birthday, I wanted to eat here as I was vegan at the time. The food was surprisingly delicious, but the service sucked! We weren’t greeted, but rather walked up to and shown to a table. We asked for suggestions and we managed to get that information from our waitress who suggested the BBQ kalebone. I don’t remember what my non-vegan husband ate, but I do remember he only cared for the salad and HUGE slice of cornbread that came with both entrées’. Along with the BBQ kalebone, my entrée came with mac and cheese and collard greens. The mac and cheese had a slight sweet taste to it, which I loved, but my husband did not. While we ate, we were never checked on and had to flag someone other than our waitress down for a refill. At that point, we were just ready to make the 97 mile drive home. We probably won’t be back to this location at least.

This place is great. Excellent, flavorful food for those of us who are not even vegan. I enjoyed my meal. I had Kalebone which was delicious. I loved the ginger root drink and my vanilla ice cream. I also tasted the Country Fried Steak and Collard Greens. Everything was delicious! Perfect casual place with healthy and delicious food. Can't wait to go back!

Really good vegetarian food, i am not vegetarian but i was there just wanted to try their food, and it was delicious

I recently visited this Soul Vegetarian location after hearing so many wonderful things. Boy am I glad I decided to stop by. The customer service was great and the food was even better. I ordered the bbq cauliflower, macaroni and cheese, greens and cornbread. This was some of the best vegan food I have ever had. Everything was hot and fresh and tasted delicious. Although the drive is about 30 min for me, it was definitely worth it. I will be visiting again very soon! Awesome job!

If you want a soul twist on vegetarian food, this is your place. Collards prepared without meat but amazingly tasty, sweet potatoes that melt in your mouth, and be sure to try the barbecued cauliflower. Oh my my! The people here are committed to true vegetarian food that's truly delicious. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but be patient because you'll find a spot and be so glad you did.

Stayed at the Highland Inn next door and ate here twice solo. No atmosphere but food is excellent. I love vegan food that doesn't try to be something else. The Prince dressing is so good I put it on everything I could - not to mask flavors, but to enhance them. The kalebone with gravy was wonderful, and the fried cauliflower (with Prince dressing for dipping, of course) was incredible. The waitstaff is lovely. Very relaxed atmosphere, and their pedigree is impressive! Soul Vegetarian is definitely vegan food that nurtures the soul.
Soul Vegetarian No. 2 - good vegan soul food!
OMG!! I had a craving for good southern soul food last Sunday. I found the Soul Vegetarian No. 2 location in North Highland. I ordered BBQ cauliflower, collards, sweet potatoes, and Mac & cheese. It was all delicious! Service Overall the staff was professional. I like that they wear all white. They quickly get you seated and are quick to take your order. I did not have to wait long for my to go order. There were several patrons that came in behind me, and they were all quickly seated or to go orders taken. Price My order including the ginger beer which has a lot of ginger in it ( which the person taking my order advised me of)...I like drinks with a lot of ginger so I liked it...overall cost including my drink was $21. I was able to eat off the veggie plate for two meals so not bad.
