I love the staff at this restaurant. The food is very good. We ate off of the breakfast buffet twice.

Breakfast $25.00 per person. Nothing out of the ordinary! Did not find anything extra special for this amount of price. You can have a better breakfast in other places and less expensive.

Only had drinks here after a night out on the town and ended up having more fun at this bar then anywhere downtown. The bartenders were so much fun! They are how every bartender should be!

While I did not eat, others said the food was good. The coffee was hot and tasty. The cocktails delicious.

The bar is very busy, but the bar staff was on their game. Very fast and most of all friendly. There was plenty of staff to help and they all worked very well together. Good Job!

The service was extremely poor. It was not busy, yet I waited 15 minutes for a waiter. After 20 additional minutes I was served water that I did not order, but not my drink. Before I could ask about my drink, the waitress walked away. Ten minutes later I was able to get her attention and was told she forgot about my drink and would bring it to me right away. Another 15 minutes later, she served me my drink and cold food. It took 1 hour to get cold food that was not that great at a very high price. It was definitely not worth the wait.

Southern Elements is the restaurant / bar in the Hilton Atlanta. I enjoyed three breakfasts here over the course of my stay. There was a good choice of fruit, and several varieties of juice and yoghurt. I had freshly cooked omelettes which were good as well as a selection of cake and pastries. Coffee was served at your table. Very good although the cost was a little steep at over $35 per person including compulsory service charge. I also had several drinks here throughout my stay and enjoyed the cool draught beer.

This is the lobby restaurant in the downtown Atlanta Hilton. The breakfast buffet is good, with a cook-to-order egg station and good varieties of fruits and hot meats. The pastry selection is limited. Note that HHonors Gold and above members are usually able to have breakfast free here (in addition to the roof-top lounge, which has a much-more-limited menu): ask.

We received a FREE dinner while here so I want to thank the Hilton for that gift. That being said, the place looks nice, the food was pretty average/not great, speciality cocktails we ordered (paid for separately), were very SWEET which means, not good. Fried chicken was unevenly fried, some pieces over cooked, pasta could have used some fresh shredded parm or warm feta mixed to give a little kick. We can't complain too much considering the generosity of the Hilton and this free meal, but if I had paid full price I would be highly disappointed and likely would have complained to management about poor quality. Terrific server. Crap drinks. Ok food if you need something, anything, to keep you going.

Buffet was great but the drinks at night were a bit expensive. We spent $18 on beers including a tip.

Visited here after a long day of conferencing. It took awhile before we were asked what we'd like. Someone in our party wanted a daiquiri but was told the blender was broke. When we visited here again a couple of days later we were told they were no longer making blended drinks while someone else told us the blender was broken. How much does it cost to go buy a blender? Pricey drinks in a pricey hotel but they hit the spot. Nice, comfortable, flexible seating which suited our large party.

Staff here goes above and beyond - Chef Shytuan, Cocktail server Lashonda and Maître Di Mr. John Clayton were amazing!!!

Overall this was pretty good for more of a lunch place IMO. The first time was better. Everything was hot. 2nd time - fries were only Luke warm. I don't like anything Luke warm, first server we had was very friendly, second one, not friendly at all. I would still proabably eat here again if staying at the hotel but wouldn't go out of my way to eat there.

You have to try their classic burger prepared by Abner, it is very delicious! His choice of seasoning and perfectly cooked patty is addictively amazing!

Very good food with lots of variety. Fresh carved roast beef was great and cheddar biscuits were also really good. A welcome respite from running about.

We were staying at the hotel and made the mistake of going here for the breakfast buffet. The price made us think it might be okay to trust the food, but the eggs were ice cold, the rest of the items barely warm, and almost all of it tasteless. The service was terrible. Our waitress barely talked to us, dropped the drinks on the table and was never seen again until we got up to leave and she ran up to us to give us our bill. Seeing as how we had to get up and search the place for straws, napkins, and silverware, and it felt like we had to bus our own table, the Hilton is lucky we didn't present THEM with a bill. Really Hilton? You don't train your staff better than that? You don't have managers on the floor keeping an eye on things? Ugh.

I ate here for dinner and the following day for breakfast. The food is pretty good, especially the breakfast. There are various pastries, meats, cereals, and omelets cooked to order! The service is very good as well. The breakfast was worth the $20. Additionally, the drinks were pretty good as well (dinner time).

Food was good, service was excellent; Hail to Fred; he was professional, courteous, and friendly. Go Fred, Go Fred, Go Fred, Go Fred!

So, I was hesitant about coming to this restaurant, I am a high school student and was at a business competition, so I wanted to save some money. Im glad I came in. The staff was really helpful, they really cared about me, which is hard to find now a days. If you decide to go (highly recommended), ask for Charles as your server, he waited for me 3 nights in a row (that's how much I liked it). To sum up, if you're wanting good food, and great service, go here.

The She-Crab Soup was delicious!! As were the drinks!! Servers/bartenders were a lot of fun!! Nice end to a long day of work & didn't have to leave the hotel.

We checked in late and this bar is definitely okay for a cold beer and food. Just what we needed after a long flight from the UK

I arrived late to the hotel. I was hungry and unwilling to leave to look for something to eat. I ordered a black bean burger with a side of sweet potato fries and a glass of wine. All were unremarkable and pricey but did satisfy my hunger.

We had free food vouchers, so we ate at the restaurant. Otherwise, I wouldn't have come back after the first visit, unfortunately. The food is substandard for the price you would pay and both of my roommates didn't feel well after eating there (the second time, I didn't). Really unfortunate! The dessert, however, was delicious - I will give them that!

I had two meals here since I was staying in the hotel. The first night was a barbecued pork chop and was very good. The second was a chicken Caesar salad for lunch and was average. Prices are a little high, but what you would expect from a hotel restaurant. Service was just ok.

I ordered a hamburger and fries. Food was tasty but not hot. The restaurant was packed and it took a while for the food to come out so I was surprised that it was not hot, it was barely warm. Fries were cold and burger was barely warm; but the taste was good.

Was waited on by Chenel. She was so accommodating and made me feel cared for!! The food was very good. It was a nice quiet place to eat without having to go out into traffic. I would highly recommend!

Located in the hotel lobby, variety of foods and salad for a quick lunch. The chicken sandwich was a bit dry but the sweet potato fries made up for it!

The staff was very nice and friendly. We just had appetizers but they came out quick and tasted great.

Bad just bad. Smell overwhelming on entrance, customer service not existent from the reservations to waiters. Wait for an order long, wait for food and drinks long, not attentive, slow... Not great food either. Not interested in customers at all.

Service: AWEFUL. or nonexistant Food: Not very good, and should be awesome Beer.....cold, but overpriced. Lady behind the bar acted like she was doing you a favor pouring a beer. Dissappointing. Should be a Hilton 5 star operation

Food was pre-cooked, and it tasted like it. They could have at least warmed the food thoroughly before serving? NOT.

Great Comfort Food- Very poor service however!! Wait for check can take a good 20 minutes. Food was very good southern style. Wait staff were very nice and friendly but apparently assigned too many tables. They could not keep up with the clients. In New York this would be closed in a week!!!

Breakfast buffets at the Southern Elements in the Atlanta Hilton offer a wide selection of items. From biscuits with choice of grave to the omelet station you can't go wrong. While the bacon was a bit "greasy" the other meats were good. Given it was January the fresh fruit on the buffet was not ripe and hard. The selection of teas was wonderful and the wait staff was prompt with needed lemon with honey. Overall I enjoyed the variety but the price for one person came in at about twenty-five dollars which included tip. This was a bit pricey for my taste.

Although I did not stay at this hotel (not my choice) I chose to breakfast here every chance I had (3 morning). Greeting staff Aubrey and Fatmata were friendly and efficient. Marie on omelettes greeted her work with such pride and pleasure. Buffet experience here was great: lots of choices, staff extremely attentive, you could be as fast or as leisurely as you wanted during breakfast. I will be back! Thank you to the whole staff-- you made my trip to Atlanta really memorable,

We had the buffet breakfast which was delicious. Since we were going to be out all day walking and sightseeing we wanted something hearty. It had anything you could want. I had a green smoothie and fresh fruits, grits, and a fried egg. I also had biscuits and gravy. Light biscuits and a true treat. They had all kinds of meats from sausage to bacon to turkey sausage. They had a variety of juices and piping hot coffee. I also tried a bite of a breakfast casserole and it was great. My hubby had toast but they also have waffles, croissants, muffins and bagels. It is pricy but held us all the way to supper!

Located inside the Hilton, my husband and I decided to have lunch here after checking out from the hotel. We started with the deviled eggs. They arrive three on a plate, with a honey mustard sauce drizzled on the plate; the eggs had a small piece of bacon that had a sweet glaze which complimented the flavor of the eggs. Really good. I had Carolina BBQ wings which were really tasty. The sauce was very flavorful. My husband had the Crawfish Roll which came with homemade chips, it was also delicious. Try the Laughing Skull draft beer - you won't be disappointed. The service was on point (thanks Khondokar).

Muhammed the front door man at the Hilton recommended the Bacon Wrapped Dates and the Seafood Mac and Cheese. They were the bomb! We even tried the Pork Belly Biscuit. The service was outstanding and we were made to feel like we were the only customers there. My husband and I were glad for a great start to our conference weekend.

First day in Atlanta we left hotel and went to a tourist attraction restaurant that shall remain nameless. It was so disappointing and not worth the money we spent. Foolish us because right in our own hotel is Southern Elements. We had the pleasure of having Ianthia as our server. She was very knowledgable with the menu and was able to assist us with our complicated taste buds. We enjoyed or food sooo much ( a little too much). The corn bread literally melts in your mouth (yummy). She also suggested I drizzle my sweet potato fries with honey. Best decision ever because it took my love for sweet potato fries to another level. The turkey club sandwich is not that great. But the wings, corn bread, shrimp and grits are phenomenal. We definitely plan on going again to try the Mac and 5 cheese and of course get some more corn bread. Great job Hilton. Be sure to keep Ianthia or your team she represented the company well.

I ordered chicken and waffles. Presentation was beautiful. Fried chicken and good and waffles was soso. It was served with syrup with bacon bits. It was 4 other guest in the entire resturant and it took over 25 minutes for me to get my food. I went there out of convenience due to attending a conference in the hotel. Probally wouldnt go back.

We used to love eating here every year while staying in the hotel for Dragon Con (10th stay). Whereas the other hotel staff is awesome the service here is nonexistent. We were completely ignored for over 30+ min. No one acknowledged us AT ALL. We twice tried to get servers attention to no avail until finally we had to go and CHASE DOWN SOMEONE AND STAND THERE to even get a glass of water (but no menu). It’s like they have no idea how to be a restaurant. We miss the evening buffet. We used to always give this place 5 stars. I would give it zero if I could now.

Southern Elements features a typical breakfast buffet which met expectations. The chef will cook eggs and omelets to order. Everything else is pretty standard. The staff was pleasant, and they allowed our party to extend our stay in the restaurant while we held an informal business meeting.

This is an easy choice for food if you're staying at the Hilton. I thought the food was expensive, and took a while to get service a couple times. One night they did open a bottle of wine for me and gave me two wine glasses without anything in return, so that was nice. It could be a fun place to have a couple of drinks, but I would probably eat at either Nicolai's or Trader Vic's if given the opportunity again.

I recently had dinner with friends at this restaurant because we were staying at the hilton and were just too tired to go out... The service was quick... The food was ok (no great)... The waitress tried to sneak a 18% tip on to our bills without telling us... One of us caught it... (to be truthful she probably would have gotten a better tip if she hadn't done it)... this was two days ago... i checked my bank statement this morning and my pending transaction from Southern Elements was over 9 dollars more than was on the slip I signed and handed back to the waitress... lucky I kept my receipt. .. When it clears I will be challenging it...

I ordered the pork belly and was a little unsure of the sides and the corn puree that was served on the side. (It looked like mustard.) I ordered a side of mashed potatoes. I ate everything! It was beyond delicious! Our waiter was patient while we were deciding what to order and was attentive throughout the meal.

Service very slow, even when they are not busy. Food pretty good, but not outstanding. Once they bring you the food, they forget to come back and check on you.

Looking to get away from a huge conference, I looked on OpenTable for a nearby restaurant that may be close but out of the way of the mass of people. Southern Elements is located in the Hilton near the other conference hotels of the Hyatt and Marriott. The menu had one of my favorite dishes shrimp and grits and so I chose it. The food was good I also had the flatbread appetizer and the entire meal was under 30. Also try the house specialty drink "moonshine magarita" it was a nice cocktail. I used the OpenTable app to get reservations and it went smoothly.

We've had breakfast, dinner and a late evening snack here. The service and the staff are always very friendly and attentive. The food is very good (I recommend the raisin french toast - it's to die for). It's in the heart of downtown and easy to get to being two blocks from the Marta.

I ordered the Pan Fried Chicken and it was exactly how it was described - like chicken thrown into and pan of grease and served...accept no one bothered to salt or season it. It was not good at all.

After a long day I decided to pick up takeaway from Southern Elements. I was greeted at the desk by an absolutely delightful gentleman (I wish I had gotten his name). He was so helpful, kind and just all around fantastic person. After chatting with him about what to eat I decided on the flatbread. Ten minutes later I was heading up to my room with a nice hot box of food. The flatbread (bbq chicken) was yummy! Perfect portion size to fill me up yet not make me regret eating it all!

The bellman talked me into going to Southern Elements since all fast food stores closed at 9pm in the area. So okay I gave it to try. Pissed. $16.72 for a tiny overcooked burger. No taste at all. Staff was nice.

The front desk should be fired, we would be better off seating ourselves since they have an "issue" with 1 and 2 people groups since most of their tables are for four. 23 bucks for a standard breakfast buffet. generally just not worth it plus long wait times in the morining

I ate here twice during my stay at the Hilton Atlanta. It's convenient with a nice bar if you want to wait for carry out. Limited menu, but I found the wings to be very tasty. Excellent service and seating with lots of TV's if you just want to hang out and eat there.

What a pleasant place to dine. Iris is a legit foodie. She knows everything on the menu and recommended the best dishes and how she would eat them. To our surprise, she was right. We have now been coming here for 3 dinners in a row. We're leaving back tomorrow and will truly miss her. She's amazing in customer service, great smiles, great attitude. We were so impressed that we asked to speak to her manager which was Ricardo Calamari. He was extremely kind and caring. We will be back in August and dine with Iris again.

Had breakfast buffet this morning and it was very nice-the usual for a Hilton breakfast buffet and that is a compliment. Easy in, nice breakfast, easy out. Everything was fresh and service was prompt and very pleasant. Eggs can be cooked to order. Drinks and dinner tonight. Was surprised they had a buffet special. It was quite tasty and priced well. Salad bar, dessert, veggies, lasagne, chicken, mac and cheese- comfort food and good. The staff were so attentive and Mr. John was most gracious in assisting us.

Over priced.. Dry food.. Terrible lighting.. Paid 25 bucks for fried chicken that you can get at a gas station. Chester fried is much better. The also use well vodka but will charge you for premium. Pay close attention if your sitting at the bar. I got charged 18 bucks for a well vodka tonic. They tried to play it off but I wasn't falling for it.

The food was imaginative Southern. Service was wonderful. The rear is the restaurant, with the front becoming a sports bar. I had two breakfasts and a dinner here. The Eggs Bennie are a variation on Eggs Benedict, using fried bread pudding as a base with shaved ham and spinach. Very good. Dinner choices were more on the standard range. The restaurant is at the entrance to the Hilton Atlanta.

Try the Shrimp and Grits, very flavorful! Also, the burgers are great. Nice place to have a quiet beer.

I had just arrived from the airport around 7:30 PM and wanted a quick snack and a beer. I was seated in the bar area which was relatively quiet. The server seemed hurried. I ordered wings (dry rub) and a beer. The beer came out quickly, the wings took some time. The servers seemed to rush around but there didn't appear to be many people in the restaurant. The wings were very different tasting, but good.

We stay at the Hilton in downtown Atlanta every year, and one perk is the opportunity to enjoy several meals at this wonderful restaurant. Chef Chris creates a great menu. Tonight we had herb crusted salmon with a beurre blanc sauce that was fantastic. We wanted to lick the plate. Give this restaurant a try next time you are in downtown.

Stopped here for a drink and a quick bite. Sat at the bar and service was excellent. Atmosphere was nice and bartenders were friendly. Drinks were made well and a typical price. "Shareables" were tiny, over-priced, and not really enough food to share. I think I'd stick with just drinks if I were to return.

Our group was there for a conference on a whim, decided to stop in and get a drink and something to eat late that evening. The menu had a variety of items from bar food to meals and desserts. The food we each had was great as was our waiter who was attentive, bantered easily with the group, and went with the flow as folks joined us throughout the meal, even when it was close to closing time. It was very relaxing and as we were seated in an area where we could laugh and talk without being on top of other patrons and disturbing them, that made for a good atmosphere.

Wonderful meals each and every visit. Try the fried chicken or pork chops. Ask for Terri at the bar and say Ellen sent you:)

The decor is very modern. It was a very busy night there so I sat at the bar which was very lively with lots of people. The menu is limited but I saw several things that looked good. I had the Baked BBQ Chicken Flatbread which was very tasty. It came out quickly which was surprising because of how slammed they were. Service very good. I ate every bit!

Service doesn't match the cost. The food was just "okay". Drinks from the bar and tea refills took forever.

We ate at Southern Elements for a late dinner. The atmosphere was bland, it felt like we were eating in an office. The food was overpriced, and the menu limited, especially for GF options. We ordered burgers, medium well and fries. The burgers were all undercooked - the meat pink all the way through, the fries so salty we had to wipe them on our napkins! For $15, I expect a quality burger that is hot and fresh. What we got was a frozen patty, undercooked, and slight cold. Save your money and go over to the Marriott's burger place.

Super friendly service and some unique menu offerings (e.g. cauliflower cakes) help to make this attractive hotel restaurant a reliably pleasant place.

not impressed with the food or the service. Limited menu. $25 per person breakfast buffet - runny eggs and commercial quality sausage gravy. Struggle to get a coffee refill.

We were comped breakfast due to incompetence at the front desk. Smart move. The food and service were extraordinary. India, our server, was PERFECT! She was pleasant and attentive without being in the way of our conversation. She was personable and a pleasure to speak with. The food and coffee also did much to repair my mood. I cannot comment on cost as it was comped but it was worth more than the average breakfast.

Excellent. Food was delicious Server fantastic. Prices reasonable for this type setting. The mushroom soup was incredible

I highly do not recommend coming here. the service was terrible. it took an hour to get my water. an additional 45 to get food. my friend got a salad. it came with no dressing, lettuce, or anything. my food was crunchy (was definetly NOT supposed to be). I had to ask for more dressing multiple times, and when my food got here it was cold. do not come here

The food and service was good, nothing spectacular. I did find it odd however they have a black bean veggie burger on their menu with added bacon on top.

Went there on a weekend with a large convention. Service was slow but very friendly. The chicken and waffles were great and I recommend them. Prices were a little high but it is in the Hilton Hotel. I think they were a little short on servers on such a busy night.

Very good shrimp and grits.Best $10.00 beer I've ever had. Very nice waitress.Seemed a bit too dark for me---I may have a tumor coming on though.

Great service! Wonderful food! Relaxing atmosphere. A bit pricey, but its worth it. The menu is a tad limited. We tried three items and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the shrimp and grits.

Lobby ambience &hotel pricing but definitely NOT the Colonel's w/instant mashed! You could call the shrimp & grits another version of "southern comfort". Elements manager, Gustavo Baptista was its touch of "uptown".

We were a party of 5 for dinner, the restaurant was not very busy however, they were extremely slow. We all received our dinners at different times, not sure why, no explanations, not even from the manager, who informed us that he was in the kitchen. Our dinners arrived anywhere from 15-20 minutes apart, totally not acceptable. Some of the food arrived cold and had to be returned. It was not a pleasant experience, and I asked for a manager. A male manager came over, apologize, but could not provide an explanation as why it took so long for our meals to arrived, and why everyone, received meals at different times. The manager did remove one of the entrees, however, we do not feel that rectified the prolonged wait and cold food.

First of all, I NEVER eat in hotel lobby restaurants, they are almost always an exercise in disappointment. However, colleagues had eaten here previously and enjoyed it very much. Here we go.... After being told it would be a 20 minute wait for a table for 4 for dinner, we ordered a drink at the bar. After 30 minutes of NO ONE ahead of us being seated, we asked at the host stand. He promised he would take care of us but still, no one was seated. Ten minutes later I walked to the concierge stand but he was "on break." I inquired at the front desk about it and a gentleman walked back over to the restaurant with me and asked at the host stand. We were assured we'd be seated within a few minutes. Another woman on the list ahead of us left to walk somewhere outside the hotel, tired of waiting. The funny thing was, more than 70% of the restaurant tables were empty. I'm sure the tables were really intended for breakfast buffet capacity but it seemed odd after 45 minutes of no one being seated. We were warned that only three staff were working the hotel restaurant kitchen and it may be slow. After an hour, we were seated. I'll spare you every detail but tell you that it was another hour before we saw food. We were not offered refills on drinks, including water. We asked for bread (by now it was almost 9 at night) several times and it never appeared until after our meal. I ordered a salad and baked potato. My salad came out with one other entree. Another entree came out five minutes later. The final entree came out ten minutes later. My baked potato arrived 15 minutes later - the bacon was a long strip of whole bacon laid across the top and very difficult to eat politely. The food was average at best and two orders were wrong. When we told the manager that we were disappointed, he thanked us for our feedback. We were never offered coffee or dessert (maybe it was past closing time, who knows). The bill was wrong. The manager offered ONE of us a free buffet breakfast the next day to make up for it after a colleague complained a second time. So, unless you have three hours to burn and like lousy food, walk down the street to half a dozen decent restaurants nearby and save yourself the disappointment.

This restaurant is as professional and elegant as I’ve seen. The food and service is unmatched. Hanna and Shi made sure our meal and experience were exceptional! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

pleasant staff in hotel, breakfast had easy choices at buffet, basic dishes, salads and grits and shrimp, enjoyed my steak dinner. If not satisfied staff would always try to accommodate.

Ordered a signature drink. The bar did not have the ingredients to make it. It was early evening. Stock you bar!

5 star, exceptional customer service. 5 star food. The best restaueant staff I have EVER interacted with in over 40 years of travel!

For the main restaurant at a Hilton one expects some level of service and food. This seemingly highly rated place, at least the evening we dined, was a sorry excuse for a restaurant. Although there were many wait staff milling around and we were the only guests in the large restaurant, no one bothered to seat us, nor come to take our orders. We had to go seek someone to take our order, only to see her and our order disappear for a good 45 plus minutes. When it did show up, part of it was cold, the rest re heated. Somebody missed the boat. Except it was getting late, and we were hungry, we should have walked out. One of the worst dining experiences in a long time.

Very good coffee, fresh fruit and well made eggs to order. Great, friendly staff, always alert and willing to help and make things right.

Our conference likely overwhelmed the folks in the Southern Elements restaurant--they had to make lots of communication accommodations and did a satisfactory job of it. The service was slow, as it seemed they might not have enough staff on duty for such a large number all at once. The dishes were tasty and ample; Chef Travis and Server Raychelle were especially helpful with my food allergies, coming out personally to consult. We deeply appreciated how these two exemplary staff members went above and beyond the call of duty! (I would give these two a rating of "5" although other times in the week the servers were other people who were not as skilled with guests). Overall, it definitely met our needs nicely when we didn't want to leave the hotel and go off-site to eat.

The portion is small. The tasty is average. The price is high. But the service is good. It's right inside of Hilton, Atlanta, on first floor. A convenient place if you stay in Hilton, but I wouldn't recommend it if you have other choices.

It's better than going out in the rain and cheaper than the other hotel options. A watery soup and cold french fries does not make for a memorable meal.

We were staying in the Hilton ahead of the SEC Championship and didn't feel like going out. Don't look for a Cheesecake Factory-sized menu, but their food was outstanding. We had the chicken and waffles and it was perfect. They had good local beer on tap and plenty of screens to watch other games. It is open air in the lobby so it's not a quiet dinner spot, but for what we were there for, it was perfect.

Horrendous Ordered food at 6:30pm No one at the restaurant, only 6 of 18 tables occupied Got water at 7:05pm Food (chicken sandwich) at 7:30pm Worst in Class

It has simple menu and delightful service. I had a dry aged steak with potatoes. It was very well cooked. The local beer I had which I forgot the name had fruity flavor. I enjoyed it much.

EVO and Shirley were awesome. The bartender with the ponytail was a bit of a jerk (although he was nice the first day, it didn't last). The menu changed twice while we were there and that was dissapointing (no buffalo wings?!?). Overall, great food and service.

Had a meal here with some business buddies . Ordered appetisers and a entree and some drinks . Drinks took a long while to come and then where soon followed by the appetisers . We had some chips some fries and done flat bread. All ok. Then another long wait for our entree to come. I had pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries (I ordered normal fries but hey ho). Fries weren't that pleasant the pork was fine so I at least ate that. Wouldn't eat here again there are better choices nearby.

Very good in hotel casual restaurant. Menu somewhat limited, but the several items I tried were delicious. The salad and sandwich bar was excellent for a quick lunch.

Most other bars/clubs were closed on Memorial day so we decided to just go to the hotel bar. Atmosphere was nice, but drinks were a little on the high side.

Very professional staff. Bread rolls with dinner were great. I ordered the shrimp and grits. They were decent. Not the best I've had but still good. Pretty good place for dinner.

Breakfast was good, albeit the staff was limited. The lunch I ate there I got sick from, but staff was always friendly. They remembered business travelers from previous stays which was nice.

Loved breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wasn't a fan of the breakfast buffet, however I never seem to be. All meals were great, servers very accomidating. Great bar service, even offered to open a bottle of wine that I had purchased elsewhere and allowed 2 wine glasses to be borrowed. THANK YOU!!!

Bit pricey for the quality of the food & service. Maybe something quick, but there is better food in the hotel, and i'm sure in the neighborhood.

I was planning to get the buffet but opted to order from the menu after looking over the buffet first. I got the shrimp and grits and it was pretty good. When the waitress brought out the bread which included a wanna-be Olive Garden cheddar biscuit and sweet cornbread muffins. The biscuits were not that great but the sweet cornbread was delicious but we had 4 people and only 3 cornbreads so we asked for more. She came out with 2 more and we were like, really? You bring 2 out for 4 people? So we split those 2 in half and shared and when we asked for more the waitress said she couldn't bring us more! IT WAS CORNBREAD!! Not a ribeye! Seriously, I paid $22 for a bowl of grits and a few shrimp! I think I could get a couple more muffins can't I??? It lost my future business due to that. I almost left a tip of 'Next time your customers ask for more break you should bring it!' but I decided not to and to just leave a typical tip. I'm a nice guy. :)

Definitely overpriced- but maybe typical for a downtown restaurant in a hotel. A double vodka tonic took 20 minutes and $22.

Had breakfast, lunch and dinner in here during our stay. Good food, however sometimes the service is a little bit slow. We only noticed this once at an evening meal. I ordered a cheese burger but it came with bacon, mushrooms and onions. When I pointed it out, it was taken away, the bacon removed and brought back out. Dining not cheap but it is a hotel and it is convenient.

Had lunch here and was quite impressed by the food and service. Menu wasn't overly fussy which for lunch is a good thing. Value was good too.

We had lunch and my companion got shrimp and fried grits which were fresh and flavorful. I got the mixed Angus hamburger loaded with mushrooms, grilled onions, bacon, and blue cheese. It was so tasty and also had big slices of tomatoes and a leaf of butter lettuce. I got Mac and cheese which were the best I’ve ever tasted! Buttery and cheesey and a large portion. I highly recommend it. The service was pleasant and efficient.

I ate at Southern Elements twice while staying in Atlanta. The first time I had spent the entire day traveling and was famished. I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon. It was a little underdone for my tastes, but still quite flavorful. The second meal I had was the breakfast buffet. It was OK. My spouse makes better grits, and there was a limited meat selection, but the cheese platter was very good. Both times I ate there my service was fantastic. Hats off to Dai'Ja (my server for dinner) who dealt with some idiocy at a nearby table with grace and was also an excellent server; and to India (breakfast server) who is a great conversationalist and kept my drink filled at all times. I would also like to give a call out to Khadijah (the breakfast hostess). I did have one bad experience though. I would like to say that I went to eat at the restaurant a third time (I was in town for several days) the night before I left. The hostess at that time sat me at a lonely table behind a post. My server came up once, but never took my drink order and never returned. Several others were chatting around. About 15 minutes later having been ignored by everyone, I left the restaurant and told the hostess what happened. She was apologetic, but it wasn't her fault. The restaurant wasn't even busy, unlike the previous two experiences where I went during very busy times, but my servers were excellent. So 66% positive experience.

The hostess Caleyah was very friendly and helped accommodate my large party. The food was great. I will definitely be back.

I ate here with a number of business colleagues. It's a good venue for a discussion but can be a little loud. The food was fine. I had shrimp and grits and it was a bit bland but good enough. Prices are about what you would expect at a hotel restaurant. In sum, if you are just seeking some decent food and a place to talk, this is a convenient choice right in the Hilton.

Staying at the Hilton where this restaurant is located. Had the fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and seasonal vegetables. Staff happy to accommodate side exchanges. Four pieces of fried chicken...yum!!

On 12/5/15 had reservation for 9 pm that was not the problem very bad service after sitting at our table hour & a half the waitress only came to the table twice never got our food after sitting there for hour & a half we got up & left finally I DO NOT RECOMMEND

We went to the buffet during DragonCon. Not something that is a high-service needs visit. After finishing our first plate of food we finally got a bus-boy to bring our table WATER. The food was only passable and the waiter never did get our drinks to the table. Restaurant took a percentage off, but if I hadn't wanted to just get out of there I would have demanded to have the whole thing comped.

Waiter couldn't tell neighboring table anything about the beer selections, specifically Atlanta's popular IPA Sweetwater 420. I corrected him for my neighbors. And, his knowledge of the food menu was absent. Let it out that the salmon is pre-cooked, after i asked that it be rare/medium. OK, how about the burger? Can i get it rare/med? Sure! It was beyond well done, almost completely dry. And $15.

I arrived around 8:30 PM and was seated right away. The restaurant was not even half filled, which could be expected on a Monday night. Plenty of servers were moving fast and going from table to table, so I was very surprised that it took a while for a server to come to me. In fact, it took a long time. I went from being upset to timing it. Twenty minutes before a server even greeted me with a quick word of "I'll be right with you." Ten minutes later, the server finally showed up to take my order after he took the order of two people seated by me who had been seated after me. To be fair, I should say that they had been waiting a while as well. By the way, I had no water or drinks yet. I ordered Farmers salad with grilled shrimp. My server first brought me a turkey panini with fries. Nope, I had the salad. When the salad arrived, I was immediately struck by a strong shrimp smell, like really strong. In fact, I was concerned that there might be something wrong with the shrimp. Shrimp tends to have a strong smell, but this was way stronger than what I would expect. The shrimp tasted good, but it had that strong smell. The salad itself was very good. Again I'll mention that the restaurant was not busy at all; fewer than half the tables had customers. There were plenty of servers walking around. In fact, they all seemed to move fast, but everyone was waiting. My 30 minutes might have been on the high end, but I noticed other tables waiting a long time as well.

Stopped in for a mid-day snack and drink and sat at the bar. Bar maid friendly and funny. I ordered tomato soup (yum) and my husband ordered the potato skins. Oh my word. Fried potato skins topped with sweet BBQ, melted cheese and ranch. They were huge! I ate half of one. Delish!! Get you some! )

This restaurant is located inside of Hilton Atlanta. Great selection of food. They offer a buffet style dinner, but I just prefer ordering. Food is a little on the pricey side but it was worth it. Dined here twice, had the wings and burger, fries, and mac and cheese. Wings were excellent and the burger was great, Mac and cheese was to die for. would eat here again if I was at the hotel.

The bartenders, Saud and Mariana were amazing! They poured amazing drinks and made my experience at the bar so much fun can't wait to go back again!

Nice service, friendly demeanor and good beverage selection. The bar food is good. Thoroughly enjoyed our visits here.

Great hotel to stay and excellent service from all staff. The concierge checked me in and always had a smile. His name was Brian.

The service was very good. Had the breakfast buffet. There was a great selection. The food was excellent.

Wait staff was FANTASTIC! Very pleasant.. Food was great! The older gentleman made us feel so welcome an shared his 35 years experience of working at the hotel! Our meal was very good! Truly enjoyed our experience.

I loved that I was met at my Taxi by the bellman and the ease of check in given by Alan. The room and food was great in the hotel.

The food is expensive for what it is but very tasty. Saw a very limited menu due to convention. Save up the hungries and eat at the buffet.

With a relaxed atmosphere, paneled walls, and a limited menu, this hotel restaurant is a cut above the average for its type. My dinner, a boneless rib plate, was tasty. While just off the lobby, it was quiet and sedate.

It was okay. I was staying there so it was convenient, but preferred the sports bar and food in the Marriott more.

Visited with long time friend here and enjoyed the ambiance, cocktails and food. Portion sizes were reasonable and prices were fair. Restaurant is located in the Hilton Hotel. If I stayed at this hotel again, I would definitely visit this restaurant again.

Turkey club sandwich large and very tasty, fries were good. "Tom" my waiter was very professional, attentive and personable,

We absolutely had a great time, our server Immaeula was amazing and great with our children. The restaurant had a relaxed atmosphere despite the costs of food being a bit high. They were quite accommodating to our requests for our children. Each of our children have unique traits and don't like their foods touching, the restaurant ensured that everything came out perfectly. The Assistant Manager Ricardo came over and checked on us and was quite amazing as well, after the meal he offered our boys some ice cream after checking with us that it was acceptable. Over-all we will come back when we are back in town.

Our daughter and family arrived after a long flight from San Francisco so we wanted a simple dinner at the hotel. While the food was fine, service was extremely slow despite the fact that the Hilton was not busy. We waited a long time to be seated, a long time to be served and a long time for our food. Finally I had to ask the bartender to find our waiter who eventually showed up so we could pay.

Service is fairly poor. The servers are nice but slightly unprofessional, I overheard inappropriate personal conversations multiple times. I also had to wait almost two hours for my food and I had only ordered the salmon. The food itself was ok, but nothing special. In the end they comp'ed my meal and were very apologetic but needless to say, I won't be back.

Had dinner here one night while staying at the Hilton. Between the four of us we had: fried chicken, a burger, BBQ pulled pork sandwich and a pasta dish. The chicken was deemed tasty, but the mashed potatoes were 'gross' (according to the 15-year old and confirmed by her mother). The burger was okay, the pasta interesting and the pulled pork a little dry. The highlight of the meal was the French fries, which had a spice that was reminiscent of favorite fries from a burger joint long ago and far away. They were busy and sat us in the breakfast room with another group. The service was slow and 'so-so.'. We were encouraged to order our food first (and fast) due to the rush in the kitchen. Then nobody ever came and asked if we wanted drinks So, overall a 'meh' experience. May have been a bad night. Probably wouldn't try again.

The food here is good, unfortunately the service is incredibly slow. Typically no hostess is at the station and you have to wait even with no line or crowd. Then finally they seat you……and you wait……and wait again. Eventually you get your food. Honestly, though the staff is pleasant, you feel the whole time you are dining here as though you are interrupting them from something else that is more important. Southern Elements you can do better!

Had breakfast everyday and the lady behind the bar was excpetionally attentive and positive. She was a real delight - unlike the breakfast. The food was not bad, but for the price that you pay I would expect a little better effort. If you are in a pinch/hurry this will work; but if you had the time I would most likely try to find something else.

The Southern Elements and Bar in the downtown Hilton Atlanta is the Bomb. Food and service are excellent. SHOUT OUT to FiFi - Host and Nicole - Server. Front Desk and Concierge and Housekeeping are wonderful and polite. Thank you! See yall next time!

The only reason I did not give this one star is that the staff that worked there was very friendly. I decided to have the breakfast buffet there for my last morning in Atlanta after having continental breakfasts during the rest of my stay. The food itself tasted fine, however I started getting the sweats and a very upset stomach shortly before leaving the restaurant which made my day miserable. I hope my experience was just an isolated incident, but it was not a pleasant one after leaving.

My family ate here while staying at the Hilton. I can't believe this is considered a 4 star hotel and this restaurant isn't 4 star either! Since we arrived late, we chose to stay within the hotel for dinner. While the food was okay and the service was good, the wait time was unacceptable. We waited no less than 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. So much for sipping on a cocktail before dinner. We gulped them down because we became so thirsty waiting. Because of the long wait, we didn't order more than one. The entrees took a while to arrive as well, but not as bad. Wouldn't go out of our way to eat here again when in the area.

The brisket sandwich was okay, but nothing special. Tasted like deli roast beef. It was tough and chewy. Certainly not what I'd expect for $20. I carried out, and the $4 Coke was 8oz. I was told I could pick it up in 15 minutes, and it was a 30 minute wait after I got there. Eventually someone tried to bring me a burger, and then said, "Oh, I think I saw a brisket sandwich back there." It was cold. Fries were terrible. And 18% great was added to the check automatically. I'm not sure what that was for.

Comfortable, clean hotel lobby bar & restaurant, offering light fare, & traditional beverages from under $20.& up. Frozen restaurant pack vs fresh quality ingredients, made potentially inviting selections, a disappointment. Nice presentation. Friendly staff Valet & garage parking $8-$20

Went here for a lunch, breakfast, and drinks while I was at the hotel for work. All staff was professional and friendly. In the evening I felt the bar staff did a great job of engaging guests. I tried the breakfast buffet and was very satisfied with the offerings (veggie and fruit smoothies, salmon, well-made traditional offerings, fruit, upscale presentation, omelet bar, etc. etc. etc.).

Disappointed in the cheese nosh appetizer. It was just OK. I love pimiento cheese and this was a very boring version. The Caesar salad was just like anywhere else. Non remarkable. I don

Excellent food, choices are limited to a few dishes that are done well. Breakfast buffet is good but pricey.

This restaurant has good options, nothing too fancy, but everything is very tasteful. I thought it was a little bit overpriced, but I understand that being in the hotel this would happen anyway.

We waited a good 20 minutes for a beer. Felt like they were busy "making" it. How long does it take to twist off the top?

I've only had breakfast here, but the morning buffet is very nice. Lots of choices - eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, toast, croissants, fruit, smoked salmon, sliced meats, nice cheeses, juices, smoothies... even a cooked-to-order omelette station. Not sure of the price - I tend to purchase a room package that includes the buffet.

Stayed in the hotel for dinner after a late check in. Ordered chicken and dumplings based on recommendation of the server. Dumplings were gummy inside...completely under cooked, was served warm, not hot. It had to go back. Disappointment. Choose someplace else to spend your money.

This is one of several restaurants located within the Hilton Atlanta. Their location could not be more convenient, off the main lobby to the left as you enter the hotel. They are really a quite large restaurant with plenty of seating for large or small groups. Their entrance with a nice bar area to right and a full ceiling height dividing wall a short way inside the entrance provides a deceptive thought that perhaps they area within is small. However, they are definitely not small. They describe their menu as a melting pot of all things good, fusing traditional Southern fare with a contemporary twist to create a tantalizing "taste of the South". Their recipes range from Charleston cuisine to the Mississippi Gulf and to every Southern City cuisine in between. The three of us all opted for their Angus Beef Butchers Blend Burger - choice of cheese, bacon, onion, mushrooms on brioche bun. The burger came with fries. Although a bit pricey at $15+, the burger was large and well prepared. Other than the time the three of us had lunch, we also stopped in a couple early evenings for drinks before dinner. During our lunch and the other times we were there, the service was friendly and efficient. If not staying at the Hilton, I probably would not travel to eat here. However, I found this a perfect option for drinks and lunch during my stay at the hotel.

I've been here four times, enough where it has become an Atlanta staple. The cooking is upscale Southern traditional. Excellent! The chef (sorry, can't remember the name -John? Jack?) takes simple Southern fare and makes it special. Our hits so far: pork chop, hamburger, shrimp and grits (they don't skimp on shrimp!), root vegetables, Mac and cheese (5 cheeses!!), peach cobbler. All nicely done. Also visited the bar. Competent professional bartenders - that's what makes a bar. And they have them, along with great and attentive servers. Great drinks, reasonable prices. Our restaurant servers were Hannah and Iris. Top notch. Bar server was Kayla - very friendly and patient with a very large and diverse crowd. Note to owners - clone Ms. Kayla!

Waited 45 minute for water. Waited over an hour for food. Food arrived cold and incomplete. Manager was the rudest person ever. Spent 3 hours in the place trying to get our checks organized and fixed. Left with free dessert (no one wanted) and each ticket was comped 30%. I paid $30 for an incomplete, cold meal and one drink. My bachelorette party was ruined by the 3 hour delay and I will never go back.

I arrived late (about 9) and decided to eat late rather than skip dinner. I read the reviews which were lukewarm at best. Rather than leave the hotel I decided to sit at the bar and eat. It was surprisingly crowded for a Sunday night. I decided on the garden patch salad with salmon and I must say it was excellent. Honestly, it was really good. It took a few minutes and by observing the customers around me I would suggest avoiding anything fried or complicated after about 8 pm. The hold up is not the wait staff but I suspect they have a small kitchen and limited staff late. They may want to consider a limited menu late. That may speed up the preparation.

For a Hilton, this site is in need of a bit of a facelift. It looks a bit dated and needs freshening. During a conference the lines for the elevators was crazy. 8 elevator bays but only 2-3 seemed operational. The Southern Element restaurant is overpriced and I would suggest there be a stronger emphasis on fresh foods. The shrimp and avocado small plate was not what I expected I envisioned raw shrimp cooked pink, served with chunks of avocado. What I got was limp, gray looking previously frozen shrimp with smashed avocado. It tasted ok but could have had a more fresh look and taste. I also ordered a Brussels Sprouts and pasta dish. Overall, it was fine but the sprouts were over roasted and the pasta tastes a bit dried out. In contrast to the Velocity restaurant in the adjacent Marriott, it is definitely lacking.

I found my dining experience to be authentic to the southern flavors. It was very convenient to dine within the hotel for lunch. I would recommend Southern Elements for their atmosphere, food, and service.

Had a table of 4 for appetizer and drinks in the bar and they added a gratuity automatically but made no mention of it nor was it obvious on the bill to sign. Asked for itemized receipt and she ghosted me for 30 minutes. Finally got a manager and an itemized bill and saw the gratuity. Very shady when the breakfast and dinner bills clearly state it is for tables of 6 or more?????

At a group dinner, I ordered the chicken and dumplings which I was told was their 2nd most popular dish, after the shrimp and grits. Alas, it was bland, had precious little chicken, and was gummed up with a sauce the texture of glue. The service was super attentive which is why this review gives 3 stars instead of 2.

A different menu than you would see at most hotels. Great Black Bean Burger & Yummy Cauliflower App!!!

Service here is extraordinarily slow and my table was served severely overcooked chicken and cold sides. After sending the sides back, a new set was brought out at exactly the same temperature! The dessert was good but the three courses took over two hours for a table of 2!

We went during Dragon Con, so they may have been understaffed. Regardless, we ordered, but anything we asked for (ketchup, more water, ranch dressing) did not come until we were done, as our waitress dropped off our food and did not come back for another 20 minutes. The food and location are decent, but hopefully the service would be better during large events.

It's a hotel casual restaurant, so you can only expect it to be what it is. I didn't however expect the coleslaw on my turkey club to be very off. It stank! It was swapped for fries, which was annoying as I didn't want fries. Made me concerned about the length of time they keep their food for. My other experiences of having breakfast were always good. If not expensive.

Food was not good, even the waffle was dry, hard and nasty. Waiter was not knowledgeable. Check your checks for accuracy.

It was exactly what I wanted! Fresh and good tasting food. The best of all was the waitress, Inmacula, one of those people with genuine soul. She made the experience a very special one.

The breakfast buffet was wonderful with an omelet chef, hot food dishes, several fruit juices, and much much more. What made this place so nice was the wait staff. They are friendly and made us feel welcome. Very attentive and helpful with our children so we could get all the food to the table. Such a lovely way to start the day!

Staying at the Atlanta Hilton and enjoyed a spectacular dinner for a very reasonable price. Our server was knowledgeable and very friendly. Definitely coming back during our stay in Atlanta.

Was in town 2 months ago and ended up eating here, Had the Salmon and it was out of this world. Back in town again and took my wife for dinner after visiting the GA Aquarium. Had the Salmon again, not exactly as it was the first time around but just as good. This is the only place I have ever ordered Salmon when out, I am very picky about how its cooked, and this place gets it right in my opinion. My wife had an awesome salad with grilled chicken and she expressed how great the chicken was, not dry! The corn muffins with sweet butter will make you leave happy even if that's all you eat. The drinks were typically overpriced as they are anywhere now a days. The staff here is very friendly and attentive. Will return here if/when I'm back in the area

we ate there since we stayed at the Hilton. The service was quick but had to return the burger it was under cooked actually raw. not happy they did not even asked if we wanted something else and added a tip on the bill without telling us had to have that removed. not happy with the whole experience there the sampler was very good nice balance. next time I would leave the hotel and eat somewhere else. prices are higher for what you get, but this is a downtown hotel.

I ate here twice during my stay at the Hilton Atlanta and both times, the service was fantastic. The waiters I had were polite and quick to grab anything I needed for my meals. However, the food was a little pricey but I suppose that's what happens when you have an audience in the hotel who want something easy and close.

Service was poor and slow during the entire time I was there for a conference. A conference usually means more people than normal. They were not ready for that. Food items were left off orders, which we was charged for. We were charged double for some items. There was no rush about them at all. Food was good thou.

We ate in the restaurant on two different occasions. Once for lunch and once for dinner. Both occasions we had similar experiences. It was hard to find someone to wait on us! There was no one at the host stand when we arrived both times. The waitress during lunch took our order, but was not enthusiastic or complimentary of the menu items. However, we found the food to be quite good, it just took forever to receive it. When we ate dinner in the restaurant, our server was friendly, but again it took FOREVER! It took 3 hours to eat dinner mostly because we were waiting on food and our bill. We spoke to a manager who did not seem to care that we were experiencing delayed service. I would highly recommend the spare rib sandwich and fries. Both were executed very well! Other members of our party agreed that the food was quite good.

I've been to this place a few times and given them a few chances. It is a horrible restaurant. The service is mediocre at best. We've had multiple issues. And now their new menu leaves no selection. It was a truly disappointing and horrible experience. We won't be giving them another chance.

I recently ate at this restaurant and I must say it was very good. Upon arriving the staff was very friendly and courteous. There was a somewhat limited menu but the food was very good.
Decent food
Not a bad place.. Can get busy. There was a convention in the hotel, so the bartenders got busy fast. My sandwich was pretty good.
