We really like the food the food was great the only problem is the service is so slow we got this really bad waiter ( female) and it took them two hours to serve our dinner plus we were a group of 6 and one of us didn’t get the food at the same time. I don’t know if they deserve another chance to try it.

The most AMAZING service and even better food. The menu is creative and the staff super attentive to details. Our server gave us fantastic recommendations. We loved everything. The Oxtail hummus was to die for, so was the pork. If you like a good beef tartar… you must have theirs! The ambiance was perfect for a date. Get off the strip and explore more authentic food here, it’ll be worth the short drive. We will be back, and will bring friends!

Following the hype off strip must say the food was largely excellent; the big t-bone cooked perfectly and pre-carved, fois gras, sea urchin parfait, scallops, dumplings, oysters all delicious and great flavors. Only the Thai snapper was a disaster, mouthfuls of bones and scales. Our main server Sugee ? really nice and helpful. This restaurant does not focus on wine but we do, and brought good wine, the wine service here could use some training and the manager that evening could use some people skills, she was remarkably rude and disrespectful. Go for the food.

This was our second time dining here and it did not disappoint. Everything that we had was really, really good. Definitely worth the trip off the strip - and less expensive too! We will absolutely return.

There's interesting food and drink items. The only complaint is that they have a cramped dining area with tiny tables. I hate when am close enough to other diners tables and can hear what they are saying and they can hear me. I'm glad the staff was accommodating with moving us away, otherwise I that would have effected the dining experience. The GM or owner walked around and asked how everyone is doing and striker up a short conversation with everyone to show his appreciation.

This was a great experience! All the food was tapas style yet varied cuisine. Each dish was delicious...we wished we had more room to try everything!

We ventured off The Strip during a recent trip to Vegas to Sparrow + Wolf, and were so glad we did!! The drinks are amazing—well thought out, creative, and delicious. As was the food. We tried a little bit of everything, and nothing disappointed, so my suggestion is to grab a few small nibbles to share with your table and experience as much of the menu as you can. We will definitely be back when our travels direct us to Nevada again!! In a town that’s teeming with places to eat, Sparrow + Wolf is on top of the pack!

I really wanted to love this place. The food was creative and for the most part, the creativity worked. I would rather see a chef take a chance with a dish and fail than see the same old flavor of the moment slapped on a plate. My sister in law and I had the scallops and they were quite delicious with a sort of mock choux underneath. The sauce was perfect and delicate enough not to overpower the scallops. The scallops themselves were cooked perfectly. My brother in law had the sweetbreads and said they were quite good. We had the twist on an oyster Rockefeller as an appetizer and it had a great flavor, but the mushrooms and oyster were minced and the uni was just dropped on top in a large lump. I thought the flavors were better mixed so my husband asked our server for a knife and she lectured me on the fact that oysters come in shells and you cannot cut a shell with a knife. She was so rude and stupid i wanted to punch her. Hands down the rudest server I have encountered in years. She also tried to up sell everything we ordered by telling us all the portions were small and we would still be hungry. With entrees? Not a good selling point. This was after she left us alone for 15 minutes before taking a drink order, 15 minutes we waited for our drinks to come, and she never did bring the second round of drinks we asked for. She never apologized or came to check on us. She knew next to nothing about the menu. The saving grace was the chef owner who realized there was an issue and came over to our table. He apologized and adjusted the bill which we appreciated. I think he was sincere in trying to make it right. For that reason alone we will give it another go, but not if that server is working.

Very new dishes, I was very impressed, the oysters are very nice and refreshing , if you like oysters, this is a very nice way is serving them...try them.... the squid was delirious prepared like this. Loved it.!

Decided to book here as a special treat for my birthday. Was dining solo and I checked in advance if the tasting menu was possible for a solo diner and they responded by Instagram and said that it was. I sat at the bar and inchose the wine pairing which was great idea because I couldn’t decide which Wine would be able to go with any of the dishes. The wine pairing, I thought, was excellent. All the food was interesting, with definite nods to Asian flavours the staff were super nice and knowledgeable. There is plenty of food and I was full by the end. Two tiny tiny things to improve - the food came out quickly (I know that’s good, better than too slow) but I would have liked a longer pause between courses. I did ask and the server said the next course would be 15’ but it came out soon. Secondly the explanations were very quick - obvious the servers know the food but I didn’t and there were some things unexpected combinations that it would have been good to have a slightly slower explanation. I had a great evening. The cocktails are good too. Highly recommended.

Everything was absolutely delicious! Tartare, beets,, udon noodles, Chinatown clams casino, pork shank and especially corn!

This restaurant was recommended by locals and has had prominent write-ups. It is not too far off the strip in Chinatown and is only a $9 Uber ride away. It is hidden in a nondescript mall, but once you enter and find yourself standing with 12 others despite reservations, you understand its popularity. It is not a large place. We were amazed at the level of service provided from the very start when the waiter addressed us by name. He was attentive all evening long with helpful descriptions and suggestions on what to order. It was obvious he really cared about what was being offered on the menu. He would check in on us frequently, but we never felt pressured or rushed. The menu and cocktails are eclectic to say the least. I love restaurants where you can honestly say you have never had a single item on the menu served that way before! It has a combination of small and large plates, so be sure to ask what is to share. We started with the roasted eggplant dip and beet salad and moved on to rack of lamb and pork secreto (think Iberian ham). It was all very rich and heavily spiced in an interesting way. Be sure to check on the level of spiciness if that is an issue for you. The cocktails were unusual and creative. You will definitely need some guidance on the ingredients. This was one of the best meals we had in our entire week in Las Vegas. It came to about $95 per person with tip.

I researched a lot of tasting menus and restaurants in Las Vegas. Ended up here and WOW. We ate at 3 of the most expensive places on the strip which were great, but this was by far the best flavors I’ve tasted. Try the oysters, then duck appetizer, then pork entree and end with puff pastry deserts. Holy cow, they are so talented. And the service was amazing!!

We loved this restaurant - so much that we ate there twice in three days. It was a great find, with delicious food, excellent service, a great manager, and knowledgeable bar staff. The restaurant was cozy and on our second visit we sat at the end of the bar for dinner. We just loved the atmosphere, the staff, and the food so much. It was a far better experience across the board than the meals we had on the strip. Favorite items were Steak Tartare, Oxtail Hummus, and the Lamb entree. Definitely recommend Sparrow and Wolf and we will certainly return on our next visit to Las Vegas.

That was absolutely the best meal we had during our whole US trip! We visited Sparrow + Wolf for our wedding dinner, which was absolutely the best choice! The food was delicious, all ingredients fresh and tasteful, and service top-notch - we even got drinks matching the colours of our outfits! Be open to trying different food tastes, as they specialize in fusion kitchen. Order a couple of different meals and share - that's their leitmotif. May be a bit hard to get there (we took a taxi), as it's far from the Strip, but totally worth it! For 4 course dinner, desserts, drinks and tips we paid $210.

I was a little hesitant to go because it's a little pricey for me, but we ended up going with the chef's course. I was gone after the oxtail hummus. It was SO good!! Everything was so good and at the end I was actually full. Service was great, it's a really neat little place. I loved the decor. Parking not bad at all. Would go again for that hummus.

We were a party of 6 women with 4 teenage girls in tow. And we ate like utter queens. The steak tartar, the oxtail raviolis, the gnocchi, the brussel sprouts, the pork ribs, the lamb, the halibut. We ate until we almost expired. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive. We sat for over 2 hours, never rushed. Pampered and fed and water glasses filled and when it was time to go, each of the girls hugged our server. It was that kind of night.

Overbearing server hurt our impression. The food was pretty good and the menu creative. Drink service is VERY slow but to me the bigger issue was a server who seemed to live in our faces. A consistent up sell and asked about 100 times “is everything perfect”. No, I can’t enjoy my meal because you are trying to sell more stuff.

I have used Trip Advisor for countless restaurants and hotels over the years and generally seem in line with what people recommend. That is what makes this experience we had so mystifying. I just don't get it. The place is about a 10 minute drive off the strip. The atmosphere is lame. There is really nothing to it. So the food must make up for it? For us it was all awful. I have never had terrible bread before. I have now. The baked bread was thick, dry and filled with raisins which was not mentioned on the menu. The clams were terrible, the mushrooms were strange and had some sort of chips mixed with it, and the tortellini was barely passable. Finally, the service was just as bad. I saw many things going by us and none of it even looked good. I am a foodie and respect the many people of swear by this place, but boy was this a disappointment. So so many other great places to eat in Vegas.

Dining here is a delightful experience in so many ways. An instant favorite for us and a way to get great flavors while dodging the burgeoning crowds at Other Mama. The menu is more creative than most and we liken it to some of our Chicago favorites like Purple Pig and Girl and Goat. Chef Brian is doing great work. You should visit and find out for yourself. Our dream deal would include a locals discount!

After some Googling for ‘best restaurants in vegas’ this came out top and this was repeatedly up there. The food is Asian/European fusion and the wine selection is excellent. We ordered way too much and wish we could have eaten more of what we ordered but thoroughly enjoyed the small plate style eating nonetheless. The service was excellent. And Matt was more happy to give us local recommendations for the next night when we had no dinner booking. Will definitely visit again when back in vegas.

Sparrow + Wolf came highly recommended and did not disappoint. The tasting menu with wine was a stellar experience. The waitstaff works as a team of superb professionals. Even our Uber driver was aware of this local gem.

One of the best restaurants on or off the strip. If you want to eat at a place where the manager (John) touches each table with a passion for food and hospitality that's second to none - a place where the small plates are a hybrid of Providence on Melrose and Factory Kitchen in the Los Angeles Arts district - this is the place. Each small plate gives four guests a pretty good sampling. Some of the best dishes we've had in a long, long time were the beet salad with charred lemon ash and blue cheese; perfectly cooked octopus with house-made XO sauce; and beef cheek and bone marrow dumplings with reduced balsamic vinaigrette. We have never had digestives after the meal but this time we decided to try a couple and boy were we surprised on how effective they were. If the manger (John) isn't too busy, it's fun to hear him discuss the history of digestives. This place is on its way to becoming one of the best restaurants in Las Vegas. Grab a seat now before the word gets out. It's only been open three months and it was packed tonight. I foresee in the near future that you will need to make reservations a month before your visit. Loved this place loved the staff. John: thanks! You brought life to the food and took us on a culinary journey we will never forget.

My wife and I recently had dinner on a busy Saturday night at Sparrow+Wolf. When we arrived the restaurant was packed and we were seated at a bad table. After commenting this to the host, they gladly moved as soon as a better located table became available. The menu is basically small plates made for sharing. The food selection was quite eclectic with interesting mixing and matching of ingredients. We were very happy to have made the trek off the strip and will certainly go back in the future.

Really inventive and extremely flavoursome pan-Asian dishes which I couldn’t recommend more. Represents good value for money and a respite away from some of the more overpriced and chain/brand-type restaurants found in and around the Las Vegas Strip. Our waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable and the restaurant had a cool and fun vibe. Try not to over order like we did as the dishes tend to be on the generous side. Would definitely return.

The staff was really nice at this place and the food was really good. I would say to ask about the menu because dishes are made to share and some are rather large. My only complaint is that we waited like an hour for our food, and that even though we made a reservation, we still had to wait like 20 mins to be seated. Just something to keep in mind. Drinks are good too, and prices are way better than on the strip.

The hubby and i wanted a nice meal out for our last evening in las vegas, and wow sparrow + wolf really came through. The customer service was outstanding, our server was on the ball, and one of the owners was so helpful and friendly. It is terrible when you find a place that has food and service as great as theirs and it is 2 1/2 hour flight from home. We had the vietnamese glazed ribs which were tasty and so tender, and the big ass pork shank which also very tasty and tender and enough food for 3 meals. Looking for something off strip try these guys.

We visited for dinner on a Sunday night. Place is small (maybe 15 tables?) . Have a menu that is mostly small plates meant for sharing. Food was very good, service slow. Cocktails were unusual but pretty good. Felt that waitress upsold us on a few menu choices that were not necessary. Biggest issue was place was just too noisy, Could barely talk to table companions due to noise level.

The food here is pretty awful. Practically inedible. Had the sweet potato to start, which was covered in an inedible sauce. My entree was also inedible. The duck was ruined by the way it was prepped and cooked. Not an attractive spot either. Service was mediocre at best.

Went for cocktails and nibbles. GREAT cocktails - they make their own ginger syrup in-house. It was on the pricier side - but very good. We'll be back!

We are Vegas locals and had an out of town foodie friend visiting so decided to forego our usual haunts (Echo & Rig, etc) and seek something different. Knocked it out of the park at Sparrow + Wolf!!! While the craft cocktails were fine (nothing memorable) and our server made a few mistakes with our orders (when the wrong dishes arrived we tried them anyway and were always pleased), when the food arrived it was exquisite. The way I'd describe each dish in general - and each was really different from the next - was that flavors are well balanced and play off of each other beautifully. Salty, sweet, creamy, crunchy, rich, refreshing... you get the idea. We started with barbecued salsify, which was savory and clearly a lot of work went into the dish and presentation. The black cod in kaffir lime sauce was cooked perfectly and practically flaked off before the fork touched it, and one of the diners who "prefers fish naked" aka usually just plain said this was his favorite dish of the night! The hamachi was refreshing, grilled oysters with miso were tasty, the sweet potato with duck confit a fun juxtaposition of flavors, and I lost count after that. There wasn't a just so-so dish in the bunch. Our table neighbors were visiting from LA but said the menu always changes between their visits but one thing stays the same - the seafood bento box. It looked amazing and will be what we try next time. After a parade of food for 2 guests, 2 cocktails and one dessert, it came to just $130 not including tip. You can pay that for a really mediocre meal for 2 at a lot of places in town so we have found a new "favorite" in town and look forward to a changing menu and the joys it will bring.

This was the second time i had eaten here and the service was very bad this time. If this had been my 1st time here I may never go back. My boss and I had to complain several times before the service got any better and then it was still very SLOW. THe manager was very nice and kept saying sorry but when you are entertaining one of your largest accounts you dont want bad service. The food was brought out at differnet times so people were waiting until thier food got cold before they ate. THe taste of the food was great but waiting so long leaves a bad taste iin your mouth. The manager did give us seom desserts for free but it still didnt make up for the slow service. I am not sure if I will eat here again,

This is a real gem. Unexpected find in china town. The ambiance was great. Staff were all so inviting, knowledgeable and friendly. Crafted cocktails unique. Food delicious.

Friendly staff, a cool setting, and interesting food. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome by the staff. The manager and the chef stopped by every so often to see how things were going and to talk about the love of their life - the restaurant. Everything on the menu is meant to be shared and the server will advise you on how much you should order. The four of us thoroughly enjoyed the beef skewers, the pork, and the duck as entrees. Their special was a roasted cauliflower. I am not a fan of this vegetable. But it was very edible. My table mates loved it. Even for Las Vegas this restaurant had a strikingly positive energy. It's close to the major hotels. Check it out.

I wanted to find a local place away from the strip and since this place got such great reviews I had to try it. The reviews were correct and this place is GREAT!!! The menu looks a little strange so you need to forget about the way things are supposed to be. Go out on a limb and try something new. I was with a group of 8 so we ordered a lot of different things. We all ordered something that we would not normally eat and not one person was disappointed. The food is full of flavor and everything was cooked PERFECT. I will be going back here on my next trip to Vegas!!!!

I wa so excited to go early with my husband and try their menu for Happy Hour. Got there and they had no menu whatsoever because “a couple of months ago they haven’t” I was disappointed because they still had it on their webpage. Anyways we stayed and it was ok. The mussels of the day were not good. I loved the Chinatown clams and the bone marrow. The grill oysters were good too. We ordered the beef cheek and bone marrow dumplings but I burn my mouth:/ They do have the best cocktail I had, it was a violet bearudearge, it was amazing!

The food was outstanding! Very creative and well executed. We ordered 3 items each plus an oxtail hummus to start. They also have a pre-fixe menu. Highlights were the dry aged snapper which was delicious. Very refreshing with the smoked plum, hazelnuts and persimmon. The foils gras was also outstanding with honey crisp apple and pepitas. However, the highlight was the Pork Secreto! It was out of this world! The other eat entree we ordered was the Eye of Rib which was good but fell far short compared to the pork secreto. Atmosphere was on the rustic side. Service was terrific and knew their stuff except we had too much time between courses. Highly recommend!

More of a bar than restaurant, but the kitchen delivers! In spite of the odd music, four dishes were ordered and 3 of 4 were winners! Skip the oxtail ravioli, very tasteless and undercooked. The brocclini, the cod and then the pork with foie gras was spicy and highly seasoned, outstanding dish.

Sparrow & Wolf does it perfect from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. To start the service is top notch. Jason our server's menu knowledge went beyond superb. He has you there for a dinning experience. He met all my weird dietary needs and made sure every detail was met and exceeded. So he set a high bar and the food beet it. Every course was better than the one before. The Chef really made flavors pop. You can't go wrong with Sparrow & Wolf. They have the best food in town. Take all the well known chefs (with shows and world known names) and put them aside. Here is where you want to be your pallet and body will thank you. By far one of the best dinning experience I have had. Sparrow & Wolf should not be missed.

Excellent off-strip hospitality and creative dining at Sparrow + Wolf. We went on a Monday night and the restaurant was busy with couples and small groups. We received plenty of personal attention from staff who were clearly invested in the quality of their food and ready to guide you through the food and drink menu. We ordered a bottle of Spanish white wine to have with our clams casino (so delicious), roasted octopus (spicy and complex) and chicken-chili dumplings (new on the menu and very good). Heartier meat options are available as well. Thanks to the new pastry chef we had a delicate pear tart with a touch of carroway, and ginger ice cream. And finally we enjoyed a trio of Amaros, a type of digestif or after dinner drink. The genuine hospitality was the best feature of all.

My wife and I decided to check this restaurant out after reading reviews on several different apps. We were not disappointed. 5 star service, food and atmosphere. We ordered the hearth baked bread with umami butter, Prosciutto meat board, grilled oysters, foie gras, wood fired lasagna, and grilled octopus. Every dish was thoroughly explained by the server as he brought them out. We'll definitely be returning to this restaurant.

Although some of the dishes were out of my comfort zone, this is a really thought out restaurant. A lot of love and passion went in to creating everything here and I can appreciate all the hard work. I like that everything on the menu is designed for you to try something "new". The plates are small but you can get full quick. Fair pricing and vegetarian friendly. Cheese plate was excellent served with honey & homemade, pickled vegetables. Love the creative cocktail menu and the service is the best in town. Manager is going table to table wanting the best experience for every customer. The only thing I was left wanting was more textures on my plate. Love how everything is charred but I felt soft came with soft and vice versa. Scored me a free glass of wine with a yelp check in! Was to full to try dessert but will next time as I would love to revisit.

Been dining out for more years than I care to admit, including scores of nice restaurants. But in all those years and so much fine dining, I've never seen duck breast and foie gras, two of my favorite food items in the world, as part of the same dish.......until now. Yes, they have such a dish here. In fact, they allowed me to 'upgrade' the foie gras to a larger size (from 1.5 oz to 3 oz) for just an additional $10. Yeah baby. The Mrs went for the miso black cod, which was not on the regular menu. She also opted to try as a separate dish that same 3 oz foie gras, which came dressed with a few more fixins. We also shared their home made sourdough loaf - to die for!! Jason, our server, was fantastic thruout the dinner. There were other items on the menu that we'd like to try when we visit S+W again, and there will be other visits for sure. Dishes such as steak tartare, beef cheek and bone marrow dumplings, and the short rib "Flintstone Bone" - guessing that will be a big piece of bovine there. Label this not only a must visit, but once you go, a must return as well.

This is a great local gem, located just west of the strip. The small plates are very reasonably priced, and just as good or better than what you find downtown. Great atmosphere, staff, and food. Definitely worth a visit!

We tried as many dishes as we could, we were stuffed. The Foie and Lasagna were our favorite. Romanesco, Prosciutto, Octopus all great. The service was so choppy that it made an impact on the experience negative. We must have had 6 different people service the table, all very pleasant and helpful, however it created some confusion.

Extremely overpriced. $30 for a drink. Very small, pricey entrees. Faced the window and had to watch traffic flow up and down Spring Mt. All night. One and done for my wife and me. Too many better restaurant choices as locals in Las Begas.

Wow, it is very difficult for me to explain this truly extraordinary establishment. Chef Brian Howard originally from the Cosmopolitan brought his creative culinary craft to his own...Sparrow & Wolf. Located in Chinatown it has a neighborhood restaurant feel which is really a nice departure from the large casino restaurants. I won't waste your time except to say this is one restaurant in Las Vegas that one should not miss - it is always packed with serious local foodies - for very good reason. You will not be disappointed in these unique menu presentations of modern, edgy comfort food with inspirations of asian fusion. We tried a little of everything - OMG

Having eaten in most of the big name chef joints on the Strip, we are encouraged by the growing number of innovative neighborhood restaurants that cement Las Vegas as a true leader for food. S+W is one of these new places led by a chef who is not afraid to try out of the ordinary combinations and flavors. We were told his creations are in the French style of cooking, but influenced by his Cantonese wife. The Asian flavors are well represented. Dishes are shareable and reasonably priced for the size. We have found that octopus is often the bellweather for preparation. If it’s chewy, other dishes may also be in doubt. Not here. S+W is a small place with an integrated bar. The vibe is wine bar modern. We asked Brittany to assist by putting together a sampling menu that showed off the best of chef. The variety from dish to dish was interesting. We finished with a shared porterhouse that was very nice. The pana cotta dessert was also well done. We will return.

A local recommended this restaurant. We got there early (before a show) and ate at bar. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgable. Food was great!

How can I describe the sensation of tasting the refreshing, spicy swordfish salad I had at Sparrow + Wolf? It was more than sensational. I have eaten in many many many top restaurants, all over the globe, but I can't remember being this amazed and emotional about a single plate of food. Bucket list dining. And not expensive at all!

very good service. The dishes are well presented but salty. Maybe more tolerable when pair with beer/wine. Price tag is on par with restaurants on the strip but it is not located on the strip

Best spot in Vegas! I am almost scared to write about them because we don't want to miss out on getting a reservation the next time we go. A group of us were in town for a week to watch a Raiders game and for a golf tournament. We had visited here a year ago and loved it and wanted to see if our recollection was correct. It was so good, we cancelled another night's reservation and went here twice during our 6 night stay in town. The food is absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic - warm, personal and fun! The second night we actually sat at the bar as it was packed (as usual) and had a great time chatting/bantering with the bar staff for 2+ hours. The managers was great (his name escapes me); we also had the amazing servers both times: Tito - bartender Ashley - head bartender Rig - server/waiter Jess - server/waiter The only downside is that Jess is an Eagles fan and joined one of our friends is singing their praise each time she stopped by... Small price to pay for the great atmosphere and food. This will always be our must visit when we go to Vegas. It may be our only restaurant we visit no matter how many days we stay. It is a bit off the strip but worth the Uber ride!

Heard great things about this restaurant, so finally decided to give it a try! Decided to have a date night, so made reservations prior to arriving. Location is not too far from the strip. When you walk in, the vibe is swanky & makes you feel like you're in a restaurant on the strip, when really you're in the heart of Chinatown. For dinner, We had the hamachi crudo & Chinatown clams casino. Great recommendation to start with. For entrees, we had Vietnamese glazed pork ribs, Mongolian quail paired with Japanese sweet potatoes. Throughout the night, we sipped on the German Slurpee, Sho Chiko Bai Gingo & even the 'I Could Drink A Peach for Hours n/a. Service was great, our server explained went over their specials that was not on the menu, busser made sure our waters were always filled & runner brought our food at appropriate timing. Overall, 5 star all around with food & service. Would I go back? Probably not, but I don't regret checking it out.

Came here with a gift certificate from family for my birthday! Wonderful modern food—With an Asian and French flair!!! Try it when you come to Fabulous Las Vegas. Yes, I’m a local!!!

Dined here with friends for a special occasion while on vacation in Las Vegas. Had a reservation but the table ran a bit late. We were offered free sparkly rose wine. The waiter was good and quick. He remained on top of his game till the end. The food was cooked perfectly. It could been served a bit warmer however. Anyway I enjoyed the creativity of the dishes served. Wine was on the expensive side and the options are $50 or $125 plus. I still recommend this place.

Rapidly approaching its one year anniversary, the tremendous opening hype justified for many while others have come away only modestly impressed, it was with yet another reason to celebrate that four friends sat down to dinner at Sparrow + Wolf on Friday, a tasting menu from Chef Brian Howard showing signs of growth and maturity to go along with the Restaurant’s unwavering confidence. Overlooked for any national “Best New Restaurant” list and no longer the “hot new spot” in a city where that title changes almost weekly, Friday nonetheless found Sparrow + Wolf packed just prior to a 7:30pm reservation, the smell of a warm hearth welcoming guests at forty feet with additional greetings offered first from a hostess at the podium and subsequently by GM John Anthony. Tightly packed and excessively loud, an overhead soundtrack ranging from mid-tempo thumps to The Doors added to a cacophony created by too much Alcohol and guests shouting to be heard above the din, it was mere moments after seating that a young woman approached to collect Menus as she’d been informed of the corner table’s choice to invest $125 each in a family-style Carte Blanche, Beverages coming in two rounds with the first happily seeing a return of last June’s German Slurpee alongside others with clever names included the fruity yet complex Ichigo Time and easy-drinking Violet Beauregarde. Happy to adapt a menu to the group’s preferences, allergies or intolerances, a majority of the 150 minutes anchored by currently offered plates with additional daily Chef’s inspirations, it was together with an assortment of Housemade Pickles and Fermentations that course one was presented by Chef Howard, the King Salmon Poke immediately attesting to high quality product accented by acid and heat, this theme recurring throughout the evening but never redundant in the way other “fusion-y” places tend to be. Matching the glistening cubes of Fish plus its crispy Rice vehicle to a second Tartare of Beets and sour Apples, the vegetarian affair easily one of Sin City’s best ‘Beet Salads’ as a result of both texture and taste, it was prior to three styles of Oysters that a true treat arrived in the form of Japanese Milk Fish flown in that day from Tsukiji Market, the flatly pounded specimen almost melting on the tongue beneath a light brushing of Pepper plus the sweet and savory interplay of Grapes and Caviar. Graciously accepting Chef’s suggestion to raise the lights a bit, an oddly placed Blue bulb nevertheless casting a glow across diners and tablescape, it was fast on the heels of $5 Sourdough which has grown in size that the first of two hot courses arrived, the bowl of roasted Maitake Mushrooms mingling with Hummus and Sunchokes a bit earthy for some though absolutely beautiful in the eyes of others while BBQ Salsify was a crowd-pleaser thanks to its surprising sweetness plus tenderness akin to slow-roasted Pork lent a savory finish by Sesame and light charring. Growing heavier henceforth, Howard’s Market Price Foie Gras du Jour presenting a nicely seared Steak atop French Toast with boozy Pineapples and Cream, it was an honor to be one of the first to taste Chef’s soon-to-debut “Beef and Cheddar” straight from the kitchen, its caramelized Marrow providing an unctuous backdrop to traditional Parsley Salad and fragrant Cheese Sauce with Wagyu Beef Tendon both top and bottom. Here taking on two new Cocktails, Easy Peasey a bit too minty for most while Molly Ringwald is an easy Summer sipper, it was with five additional items that savories came to an end, the meaty Grouper straight out of Florida as good a piece of Fish as one will find anywhere on The Strip but with better Potatoes and saucing while the Short Rib will happily see guests wiping up its sticky remnants with “White Bread” Brioche, the same act of scarpetta likely to occur with Garlic Bread accompanying the crispy-topped Lasagna loaded with Bechamel and Lamb Bolognese. Not forgetting skewered Sprouts or a Japanese Sweet Potato that redefines “loaded” by way of tons of umami given stability by housemade Crème Fraiche, the latter a personal pick for the menu’s best item, it was with only nine of the (jokingly) promised fifteen Desserts that Dinner came to a conclusion, the smaller bites highlighted by “Moon Rocks” that pitch Lychee as Peanut Butter’s Jam beneath a veil of Cardamom while Howard’s Lemon ‘Soufflé’ Cake eats lighter than most actual Soufflés in Las Vegas with a full-frontal assault of Citrus that will appease anyone who disregards Chocolate in favor of a fresh Fruit finish. At this point well-sated but not ‘stuffed,’ Sparrow + Wolf’s lack of online menu prices no different than the likes of Sage or Aureole for similar portions and ingredients, it was in homage to its Spring Mountain address that the Kitchen finished with Asian accented Strawberries and Cream plus smooth Panna Cotta that saw an unlikely pairing of Black Sesame with Rhubarb, though neither were as memorable as Howard’s “Honey Toast” that tops caramelized Bread Pudding seasonally, this time with Cara Cara Oranges and warming Thai Basil Ice Cream that leads nicely into dense Chocolate Truffles with their own peasant Peppercorn sting. *****Almost completely reinventing the menu twice-over in the past ten months, the nearly-deafening volume a lone complaint as shouting to hear ones date or having to ask a server thrice what is being served can be grating, there is no doubt that Brian Howard has found a style all his own on Spring Mountain Road and for the sake of Las Vegas’ local dining scene one must hope that the place remains packed and (ideally less) loud for many more years.

Small restaurant with great food and service. I was dining by myself and decided to eat at the bar. The bartenders were great and very helpful. I would highly recommend sitting at the bar.

We were a party of four on a girls trip in Vegas celebrating a birthday. Let me just say that it is well worth the trip off the Strip in search of this restaurant. It’s located in a modest shopping center near Chinatown but in this case appearances are definitely deceiving. Everything was fantastic! We started with the Japanese milk bread and tuna tartare which were divine. We also had a number of, and highly recommend, the wood-fired grill dishes including the harrissa octopus and green goddess broccolini. The honey pork secreto was exceptional. We weren’t super hungry but when I return, I’ll definitely try the Chef’s menu. The service was terrific. Everyone is friendly and all the servers help out on the tables so you are never waiting for water or a cocktail. The hostess was very understanding (no attitude) that we did not want to sit at the table in the line of the kitchen. I think our server’s name was Felicia and she was truly fantastic. Last, it sounds a bit juvenile but at our waiter’s urging, I tried the daily cocktail which comes in the form of a slushee but she cautioned that they can catch up on you. The cocktail was delicious and she was right! If I lived in Las Vegas, this restaurant would definitely be in my regular rotation.

This is an odd little place. Not bad-odd, just different. And expensive. Keep in mind that value is very subjective. So if you have a huge appetite, like traditional food, and are on a budget, go to a buffet instead. The service could not have been better! Despite an embarrassing faux pas upon our arrival, we were treated with kindness and dignity. You see, there was a basket of mandarin oranges when we walked in. The mandarins were in a little basket being held by a cartoon-character chipmunk (or squirrel or some kind of furry little woodland creature), so we assumed (you know what they say about assuming) they were complimentary snacks. Not so. They were a Chinese New Year tradition to have precisely 24 mandarins for good luck o display. The manager, a bit embarrassed, took them from our hands and placed them back into the basket with the explanation. Despite the fact we probably appeared to be uncouth hillbillies, we were graciously escorted out—just kidding!—escorted to a table. Our waitress gave us superior service and attention. Explained every item on the menu, what made it special, what she recommended, etc. This is not a traditional restaurant, but rather a place to come for drinks and unusual tapas (sharable appetizers). The items were very rich and we left full; however, we spent a small fortune (for us) to try over half a dozen food and dessert items, as well as a flight of unique exotic liqueurs. The manager was super gracious and brought over a non-sacred/non-good-fortune mandarin for each of us, along with his humble apology. Nothing to apologize for! We were obviously dunderheads, and we appreciated how tactfully he handled the awkward situation. Anyway, my son always wanted to try this place after seeing the menu somewhere and it was an experience we will long remember (although more for the mandarin escapade than anything else). Seriously though, the service we received was outstanding. If you want to try something different and you have some money to blow, come here at least once for the food and many times for the drinks!

The staff was very accommodating with my at fault reservation blunder. My husband and I sat at the bar and had the " Restaurant week" menu! Every dish was phenomenal! I mean every bite we had sent our Palettes to heaven! The bartenders are so well studied on the food menu items! Cameron, was so helpful, knowledgeable, sincere and attentive! Every restaurant needs a Cameron. He stood out as caring about people and the reputation of the restaurant. Many compliments to the Chef! We could have eaten this meal all night!

Just heard about this restaurant and I will say FABULOUS! The food is well prepared and the paired libations are great! If you go AND you enjoy Scotch, you must try the "What the Duck!" cocktail. The steak tartar is well done. Casual attire so your comfortable. Bon appetit y'all!

You may think this is a locals hideaway. My last visit coversnations were clearly from visitors who found this gem and were enjoying going “off strip” for some AMAZEBALLS food. Let’s start with service. Top notch. Attentive, informative and really nice. Sugee is my gal. She will never lead you astray. You can book reservations thru Open Table or call - but I suggest you make them. Happy hour is one hour 5-6 in the bar only. Chefs know what they’re doing. I have enjoyed in my two visits: Foie gras Lasagna - like you’ve never had before Special otters just order them and don’t share. My fav is butter oyster Gnocchi Beet salad Pavlova dessert The cucumber flavored gin in your tonic. Just wonderful. Spa like and need to remember to sip. I’d say maybe 15min west of Strip. Easy parking or directions on maps. Sorry I am so engrossed in conversation and eating w friends I always forget photos. Pablo a wonderful like and bergamot curd below. Must eat in Vegas!

Given the tremendous reviews Sparrow and Wolf has received, my girlfriends and I decided to book dinner there for an overdue catch up. It's located in a strip mall in Chinatown, and the decor inside is cozy and casual. We shared a great bottle of wine per the manager's suggestion, and the service was fantastic throughout our meal. We ordered the osso buco ravioli, shrimp, salsify, lamb pasta, beetroot and apple tartar, and the proscuitto. All were tasty, although the salsify and osso buco dishes really stood out as stars. They take pride in their creative food and it shows.

We were extremely disappointed with not only the amount of food but the lack of taste in most dishes. We had trouble trying to work out what cuisine was being offered. The only dish we could recommend was the Scallops but to be honest they need to increase portion size for the price. They recommend you buy several dishes to share but then proceed to serve one at a time. We patiently waited for more dishes to arrive - they honestly were not that busy to justify the wait time. All the staff would say was you should get the “duck” but when you don’t like duck that isn’t really what you want as a recommendation. We waited over 35 mins to get our check. We asked 5 of the wait staff to PLEASE bring the check. All that happened in this time was they continually tried up selling more cocktails. The price did not reflect the experience. My husband and I got our Uber driver to call at a diner on our way back to the strip as we were so hungry

This cozy spot in LV Chinatown came highly recommended by a friend who is a frequent visitor and it was easy to see why when we departed (stuffed and fully satiated). This place (located in a predominately asian strip mall about 10 minutes west of the STRIP stands out in the sea of high concept chef centric Vegas eateries. The theme is shareable "small-plates" but in reality the dishes are almost meals in an of themselves. Highly recommend the roasted jerk-sauce cauliflower which was phenomenal. Chef Brian Howard has put together an outstanding balanced menu complete with gems like the roasted bone marrow and lamb bolognese. Chatting with Manager John Anthony was a real treat and we got a nice surprise drink when he learned it was a special anniversary dinner; would highly recommend.

The energy and vibe of this place hits you as you walk in. Our group of 5 went through 5 different apps, the house baked bread with umami butter (ate some with a spoon), 3 fascinating preparations of oysters on the half shell, 5 different main courses, and ALL of the deserts on the menu (we shared all of it), and we agreed on one thing - there were no favorites (except maybe the Carmelized Honey Toast that we believe was created somewhere spiritual) and everything should be tried at least once.

Serendipity brought my wife and I to a restaurant to sit beside the owner and chef of sparrow and wolf and his wife celebrating their anniversary. After chatting for a while, he suggested we come visit his restaurant the next night. We arrived to gorgeous atmosphere and friendly staff. We were subsequently treated to the most amazing chef‘s tasting menu and wine pairing that I’ve ever tasted! His dinner was trying to be most blazing thing about our trip to Las Vegas! I cannot recommend it enough! I will return every time I return to Vegas!

Incredible Food, Drinks and Service! Treat yourself and don't pass this place up! We had a table of 3 and shared everything as suggested by our server. Each dish was beyond Delicious. Thank you to the entire staff for such a great dining experience!

I live in Vegas - picky foodie. Love this restaurant so much! The food is creative and delicious. I would rank this as my favorite restaurant in Las Vegas (not counting steak restaurants). Many other restaurants of a similar type have terrible wines but not here. Great cocktails and wine. Good service and good vibes.

The food is tasty and well thought out but the time between courses is brutal! I also feel that the automatic gratuity does not allow you to show your frustration at how slow the service is. I normally tip well(20-30%) but would have liked an option to show my frustration.

Let me start by saying we love S&W and chef BH. We followed chef BH from the last strip restaurant he worked at. The chefs tasting menu with wine pairing is always something we like to bring out of town guests or local friends to experience. The experience, ambience, and food have always been magic. The last three times we’ve visited the vibes are different (not bad), the pairings aren’t as inspiring also very lite pours, and the special touch of JA and chef BH is missed as they aren’t as present. I celebrate that they don’t have to spend as much time in house during business hours but they are greatly missed. We will be back. - oysters always amazing. - ox tail Hummas is good, has been on the menu the last 3-4 times we visited - bahn roll was interesting and had great bursts of flavor - rabbit pasta great texture and flavor - kalbi rib cap was the star of the show - pork great flavor but seemed maybe unevenly marinated or sauced as some pieces weren’t as flavorful as others - there was another dish that came with olives that had great flavor but the potato that came with it was nice but a bit boring and something you’d see at any standard steak house. Normally they put a interesting spin on standard things like potato - the hamachi had a sweet potato puree or sauce that was a little too textured or gritty for my liking. Everyone else at the table thought it was ok but would have preferred it without the sweet potato accompaniment. - the wine pairings were just uninteresting. The sparkling sake was ok but would have rather had something else. And the moscato was a nicer moscato, but it was muscato and what you’d expect. We also think you use to get a larger variety/more glasses of wine but we could be wrong about that. I am a light weight and use to get a very healthy buzz, but the last couple times have left without a buzz. All that to say no buzz and less glasses of wine/smaller pours is understandable but something people may want to note.

This place came highly recommended from a hard to please foodie friend who raved about it. I visited on a Thursday (7 pm) without a reservation with one of my favorite yelpers who's always down to yelp up... Service: The hostess seated us immediately on a very busy Thursday evening. Our server was very attentive throughout the evening and the dishes all came out timely. Throughout our dinner, the manager who i found out later was the owner Brian Howard assisted the server with our table and other tables as well. He checked on us to ensure we were enjoying our dishes which i totally appreciated. Food & Drinky Drinks: For drinks, I tried the jump the shark and the spring mountain sour. Jump the Shark can in a very cool shark headed glass, but the Spring Mountain sour was the winner of the two when it came down to taste. A very cool mixologist cocktail. This is a place to go with a foodie friend and sample a lot of dishes and my favorites were the: Chinatown Clams: Tasty and after one order, we had to order another one quickly. Farm Egg: The pickled asparagus and feta mixed with the egg all complimented each other. Campfire Duck: Great preparation of the duck for this dish. Ordering next time. Hamachi: Very fresh and digging it served on the rice paper. Ambiance: It's a smaller dining area that I assumed it would be but very trendy, contemporary and dimly lit for a great date night. Lots of dark wood. which keeps it classy. Noisy because everyone is seated closely and there's definitely a pulse, but not too noisy where it distracts from table conversation. Location is great and I love the great mixology options along with some interesting dishes to sample. If you're sampling a lot of dishes, the bill can add up quickly but the quality of food is fantastic. After this first visit, future visits and dishes are coming in the near future. Enjoy yourself...it's a celebration! =)

I did not have a good meal here. We ordered 8 small portion tapas style dishes and 7 of them were cold. When the waitress asked how our meals were I told her about them being cold. The assistant mngr came over and said that they did not have heat lamps to keep the food hot and I told her that was not my problem and regardless of there inability to buy heat lamps I expected my food to be at least warm if not hot. The mngr then can over to explain that if they made the food hot the moister would be cooked out and it would be dry. I had to call B.S. on this explanation. They finally relinquished and offered to take one of the dishes off of the bill. Overall this was a horrible dinning experience. Cold food, Argumentive wait staff, crazy loud music on top of an already noisy ambiance. I can not give them a good rating.

We took a short taxi ride to Sparrow and Wolf into Chinatown ($25.00). We had reservations and was seated quickly after being greeted warmly. We ordered a pinot noir and my wife had a special cocktail called "Burn the Witch". She loved the drink. For dinner we ordered the charcuterie board which was a selection of cheese, cured meats, etc. , a breast of duck, and beef cheek dumplings! The board of charcuterie was nice but could have had a bit more of the meats in my opinion. The duck was done well and nor overly cooked. the beef cheek dumplings were a big hit with my wife. The dumplings were very flavorful and filling. The amount of the check with the drinks was a total of $102.84 before gratuity. The restaurant was nice enough to call us a taxi back to the strip! We had a nice quiet dinner away from the strip that we both enjoyed!

Really nice, good food, great service. I really was expecting something that blowed my mind. but it was great. not awesome, but great. Definitely try it at least ones.

65 day dried age Porterhouse was amazing cooked to perfection with an assortment of little side that accent the cut of meat

The food scene in Las Vegas has changed so much for the better over the last 20+ years and Sparrow + Wolf is one of the examples and one of our favorites. The interior of the restaurant gives out a great vibe; cool bar and funky cool decorations. That said, it has been almost two years since we were there last and Sparrow + Wolf has lost nothing off its culinary fastball. It was terrific from start to finish. Our fantastically professional and fun server Felicia was helpful and informative and seemed to materialize whenever we needed something. She even recommended we have the sparkling Junnai Daiginjo sake with the Bahn Cuon and it was for sure a great call. We ordered off the ala carte menu (the tasting menu looked great too) and started with the Isan sausage, oxtail hummus and beef tartare. The Isan sausage was a bite size bit of extravagance. The hummus, which is usually a snooze fest, was so unique that it may end up costing me a fortune since my wife threatened divorce when I took the last bit. Fantastic. The Banh Cuon, broccolini and black pepper pork were all great!! John (one of the founders) was terrifically engaging and funny and the source of all sorts of tidbits of information about wines and Vegas food history. Very coincidentally we share a love for the same region in Barolo called Cannubi and John recommended a movie about the area that we had never heard of. At the end John asked if I like Amore liquors (an Italian digestif) to which I answered "of course" knowing very little about them. John went through the history of the drink and poured a couple of examples which were great. We had the delightful pineapple sorbet as well as the home-made chocolate as well. Both were divine! The food was terrific, the service exemplary and personalized and after eating out 150 nights a year we know the difference. My wife and I are not planning our next trip to Vegas. We are planning our next trip to Sparrow + Wolf.

We went to Sparrow + Wolf for a late dinner and were so glad that we picked the tasting menu. The 7-course menu was a work of art at a very reasonable price, especially the fire roasted duck breast - simply divine. Service was attentive and all staff were friendly. We also loved the casual yet chic interior. The location is off-stripe but just a few mins away, definitely a must-try and we highly recommend it!

Four of us enjoyed dinner at Sparrow & Wolf. We sampled a good cross section of their menu, to begin with: oysters raw, oysters grilled with miso and lemon, oysters in Kizami Wasabi butter with celery root. The oysters were delightful, clean and brilliant in taste. The sauce in each case was subtle but did not overpower the taste of the oysters, and enhanced the experience. We had their hearth baked bread which was delicious and served piping hot. Next, we tried the Ocean Parfait- Santa Barbara Sea urchin, with smoked trout roe and Kizami wasabi with toasted Nori. Amazing taste combination that worked perfectly. The duck confit & sweet potato dumplings were scrumptious. The braised lamb neck was a highlight- cooked over a few days, the lamb was juicy and fall off the bones tender. The fat was more like bone marrow. The Spanish octopus was served with tempura Maitake mushrooms and coconut and charred scallion. The octopus was tender and tasty. We also enjoyed a foie gras that was so amazing we had to order it several times. The only menu item we were not in love with was the roasted bone marrow with seven chili and roasted peanut chutney. The bone marrow as fine, but the seven-chili sauce was too overpowering and did not compliment the marrow. One of their special drinks was a lot of fun and a taste treat- the Elephant in the Room. Served in an elephant shaped mug, and included Opihr gin, watermelon, 5 spice pickle juice and mint. I would not recommend the Omnipollo Imperial Stout, it was a chocolate and coffee beer, but the chocolate was so heavy it did not go as a beer with the meal. During the dinner John Anthony, a partner of Sparrow & Wolf came by to see how we were enjoying our meal. Most personable and an excellent host indeed! Our server was outstanding and very helpful with menu item choices. All and all, a fun, delightful and delicious experience we will be doing again.

We did the chef's plate. Omg. I think the pictures speak of themselves. Service was good. Food was hot or cold as needed. Wine was plentiful. Make a reservation!!

Capped off a whirlwind amazing weekend with a Bastille Day celebration. While we didn't know about the menu before arriving, my fault, we were not disappointed in the least. Chef Howard's celebration menu was outstanding. The escargot with curry was one of the better dishes I've tasted in a long time! In addition to great food and beverage the band that was performing was highly entertaining. Look forward to our next visit to sample the full menu.

Holy cr_p! How do I begin? When I am on vacation I seek out Michelin star restaurants and have eaten at many. Sparrow + Wolf can run with the best of them. Sparrow + Wolf is in my top 3 restaurants and they aren’t number 3. The chef’s tasting menu is fantastic! Add the wine paring for an extraordinary experience that is difficult to describe. The Ox tail hummus and the oysters paired with the sparkling sake was magical. Kalbi rib cap with chili lobster gratin…unbelievable! I could go on. The wine director was extremely knowledgeable with our wines and how they pair with the foods and the selection was spot on. If you are looking for an amazing experience for a date, or celebration….this is the place!

First night in Vegas and this place set the tone right! Loved this place. Had one of the best Old Fashioned drinks here and my husband loved his mescal cocktail as well. Food was small portions and pricey but was very good so worth it. Wanted to go back again but just didn't have time. Will def go back on next visit.

Hands down the best dining experience I had in Las Vegas. The place is warm and funky providing a great ambience. It’s topped off with wonderfully cool, knowledgeable staff that hit you with the type of shared dining experience you are after. They confidently let you know what their own favourite dishes are and why, which tells me they know the food. Our servers were great, keeping us informed as to the excellent Asian,French, Something fusion dishes we were about to indulge in. So glad we took the advice to start with the oysters done 3 ways. This followed with the hamachi carpaccio that melted in your mouth and the Pate en Croute that delivered. The three of us were presented with the beef on the bone, tender and sliced with an array of tasty sides including a wood grilled broccoli dish. Broccoli never tasted so good. It took me to a happy place and we left without sampling the desserts because we were happily fed with the choices we had. Vegas doesn’t charm me, but I’d head back just to catch some more of these delights and finish with a dessert.

It’s the kind of fresh and creative fusion that I try to find. The wine pairings were good and off the beaten track but small pours. I left full and happy. The ambiance is closer to pub than fine dining but the food, presentation and explanations were top notch. They swapped out the foie gras for me; so, I can’t comment on that. I would have liked a third oyster but otherwise, I have nothing remotely bad to say. Would I compare it to one of the worlds top restaurant? Not yet but I would happily pay the same price again and see what they serve next.

What a delicious meal! Calling all foodies... this is the restaurant for you! We dined here for my wife's birthday and enjoyed our meal immensely. There were 4 of us and we decided to split everything. We had the Romanesco, Steak Tartare, Pig Ear, Octopus & Short Ribs. There is nothing boring on the menu. Every dish had different flavor profiles and was delicious. Can't wait to dine here again when are back in town!

Just before they close, perfect place for a late dinner the european way!!! At this time of the evening, place was quiet and quaint. Very limited menu but every dish is unique and comes up with interesting associations of produces. Although the Charcuterie and Cheese dish is a pale copy of what we usually enjoy in Spain/Italy and France, and in this regard extremely disappointing!... selection of 3, pieces of cheese or charcuterie does not work at all!!! Other con was that they were unable to lower the ceiling fans and accommodate our request... air literally blowing in your face on a pretty cold evening!!! 3? 4? You decide ....

This unassuming restaurant in the Chinatown sector is a real local gem. It is set in a nice contemporary space and the hosts and service is outstanding. Oh, but we must not forget about the food. The dishes are unique and the presentation very artisanal. Not just a pretty face though as the products are very fresh and the flavors and textures come bursting out. I’m sure that the menu changes often with their restaurant concept but the grilled octopus, hamachi carpaccio, and their freshly baked bread really stood out. The desserts were fantastic as well. Not to be missed are their unique craft cocktails and their wine list is unique and fairly priced. It is great to have such a nice restaurant away from the Strip.

Went with group of out of town friends total 10 ppl..the service and food was excellent. I don’t eat octopus but I did here and it tasted good. The yellow tail fish was the highlight fa sure ... tender and tasty. The price is reasonable.

4 for a Birthday dinner and all of us went with anticipation of a great experience with all the rave reviews. At 5:30 we were the only ones in the restaurant so far. The wine by the glass list is very limited and pricey for an off the strip casual property. One pinot noir by the glass, Van Duzer @$17 and were not on the strip....the Grenache was flavorless, the Cabernet perhaps the best red option @ $15. The Gruener was ok @$14. The bottle selection also very limited. On to a couple appetizers, the Apple/Beet Tartar Salad came out in a cup served like a chutney with crispy seaweed, not a good combination. The Big Eye Ahi was good enough but spicy for some. Entree's, I chose the chicken special, 2 thighs with cauliflower puree, green curry yogurt sauce @$22, priced right but bland all around, had to ask for more sauce and everyone at the table needed salt & pepper. The Rainbow Trout that 2 of us ordered was ok at best and was supposed to be de boned but they overlooked quite a few. Again bland, the grilled vege's were the best part. Now to the biggest disappointment, the Lamb Bolognese lasagna $26 that came out in a very small appetizer skillet with two slices of bread that were much bigger than the entrée, again the dish was very bland, I was sharing my chicken dish but my friend still went home hungry as did I. I understand the concept of the restaurant and all the unusual ingredients but our experience seemed like complicated recipes with less than desirable outcomes. Sometimes simple can be better. Unfortunately no one at the table has any desire to return for a second chance.

The next time you are in Las Vegas, and are tired of paying Big Bucks for overpriced, over hyped "Celebrity Chief" meals on "The Strip", head over to China Town area only a few miles from the Strip, for a real treat. Sparrow + Wolf owners Brian Howard (Chief) and John Anthony (Partner) have established the most refreshing, exciting and flavorful combination of dishes in all of Vegas. You can do standard entrees or liven things up with the small plates selections. We chose the small plates and started with an amazing Hamachi Carbaccio with lemon, herbs and a hint of heat from cayenne pepper, served on a blue slate tile. Next up a perfectly prepared "Foie du Jour" on Sour Dough Toast. The Foie Gras was the best we have ever had and simply melted in your mouth. We call it "Meat Butter". For our next plate we had "Barbecued Salsify". For those (including myself) who didn't know what Salsify was, it is a root vegetable similar to a carrot but more dense. To eliminate the usual fibers which are objectionable, Chef Brian first peels the Salsify (saves the peelings) and marinates it in milk. The lactic acid in the milk softens the fibers of the Salsify so when barbecued, it is tender and delicious. The peelings are roasted to a crunchy garnish which is sprinkled over the top of the dish. Did I forget to say it was spicy? The BBQ'd Salsify is finished off with a glaze of sweet and SPICY pepper that really "kicks it up a notch" (Sorry Emerald). Following this we had the Seared Halibut which was just a tad over done but great none the less. Served on top of a stack of thin sliced Au Gratin Potatoes which in turn were layered over a base of roasted Baby Asparagus. Our final plate was the Baked, Stuffed Japanese Sweet Potato. This was really unusual - and fantastic. It looks like a regular sweet potato but inside it has the color and texture of an Idaho Potato. Add a bit of Sour Cream and/or Sweet Butter and you have heaven on a plate! The wine that John Anthony pared with the various dishes were the perfect accompaniment, as was an unusually crisp and tasty Organic Green Ice Tea from Harney & Sons with a hint of citrus and ginkgo. This was our second time at Sparrow + Wolf and I highly recommend it. Forget "The Strip" head for Sparrow + Wolf for a real gourmet meal.

We decided to go elsewhere besides the strip. This was an excellent choice. The owner and staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Must try mushroom with Turkish hummus. Actually everything is good. A must visit when in Las Vegas. The cocktail menu is very creative and different. Staff is very attentive to every little detail. The home baked bread is very good

After a long day at the convention, the hubs and I took a work colleague with us and frankly, they were both skeptical when we arrived but I was excited (and rightfully so). This turned out to be our overall best dining experience this trip, in part because we befriended the lone man sitting at the table next to us and we had a great time. Added bonus: he ordered dishes we did not and could tell us which were winners. I can tell you the barbeque salsify was absolutely a delight and we all loved the lasgna and we had one of the specials (so fairly certain its not always offered--yellowtail neck/jaw, outstanding). We were lovingly guided through the menu by Destin who took great care of us, kept the drinks coming (and the hubs sampled like 3 different cocktails and liked them all). It's a low key vibe with inventive menu offerings. I would return in a NY minute and do the tasting menu (could not get the guys to commit or I would have been writing about it here!) Definitely recommend!

I can't say enough about how great our experience was at Sparrow + Wolf. The food and drinks are amazing. We ordered the whisky sour with beet foam - different and delicious. We also ordered the lobster wontons, the Korean ribs, oysters, the noodles Bolognese, the squash tortellini and the sweet potato. Every item was amazing. The sweet potato was a standout with a fluffy pillow-like appearance. The oysters were huge. This restaurant is a stand out with a nice atmosphere and great service. Try it, you will love it.

Hesitant to give this a great review, because I want to be able to get reservations again! Food was at another level. The combination of taste and presentation will exceed any expectations. Great service. Sommelier was friendly, helpful and fun to share wine knowledge with. Cocktails were another highlight. Total summary: wow

We usually ask bartenders where they'd eat when we're in new places...industry workers usually know where the most innovative food is being prepared. I wish I had still had the name of the kind gent who sent us to Sparrow + Wolf because he'd be on my holiday card list for life. From unique cocktails to outstanding sides and perfect service, this is a must-dine when you're in Las Vegas. Freed from the pressure to turn tables at the cyclic rate, or to season (generally over-season) dishes to the "medium palate" that might lead to success on the strip, the team at Sparrow + Wolf are able to draw from the best local products and take risks in preparation and presentation. Stand-outs when we were there late summer included Japanese style sweet potato, oysters, maitake mushrooms, and the amazing fresh bread. This is the kind of food that evolves the character of a city's culinary landscape. Las Vegas is lucky to have Sparrow + Wolf. We're heading back to Vegas and won't miss the chance to return.

This is a great place. The food is amazingly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. This is an excellent spot if you enjoy sharing small plates. The octopus with chili lime glaze is perfectly prepared. We also enjoyed the roasted cauliflower, and udon noodles. Be sure to check the specials as they do not disappoint. The craft cocktails are just as thoughtfully curated as the food items. It is a cute location and the staff is attentive and helpful. It is well worth the short trip off the strip.

Incredible food, great service, personal attention from Chef Brian and great ambiance. We'll put this restaurant on our favorites list!!

A short distance off the strip you'll find this trendy, fun restaurant with great food and fun staff. I have food sensitivities (rolling of eyes) which are gluten(easy) AND garlic/onions,etc which can be a chef's nightmare. Husband eats everything but the Staff and Kitchen were excellent at making sure my tastety dishes would be safe for me.

Very creative, although the attention to detail could improve. The cucumber-tomato salad was unique and satisfying. Never has I seen lima bean-size cucumbers before - apparently locally sourced. Nice! Sweetbreads were wonderful, although the potato accompaniment was so-so. The broccolini was a severe miss. Tough as nails and the stalks hold not have left the kitchen. Nice Rose to wash it down. Attentive service. Tighten up to get a better review.

Don't let the strip mall location fool you, this place is awesome. All the dishes were great and the staff are both friendly and also at the top of their game. Highlights: foie gras, all the cocktails, and, well, basically everything.

Everything we had was great. There was a dessert that had some sort of French toast. Delicious! The waitress was great!

If I were to rate this restaurant on the quality, taste and uniqueness of the food I would give it 5 stars. However, it is located it Chinatown with Strip restaurant prices. Online you will see a list of the food choices but no prices and the reason is obvious when you get your bill. One Clams Casino was $7.50. The Octopus was $21 and not a very large portion. Excellent but way overpriced. Cocktails were $13. The music was soft rock and too loud to have a conversation. Not appropriate for such a beautiful place. For the same quality of food but 1/2 the price try Andre's on the west side.

Recently told by two Casino Chefs that they were under orders to make their Food more "#instagramworthy," there is no doubt Las Vegas most interesting cooking is being offered Off Strip, and with several new plates Sparrow + Wolf continued to show that substance matters more than style on Wednesday evening. Now firmly entrenched near the top of Las Vegas’ dining hierarchy for almost 30 months, pre-opening hyperbole realized shortly after ironing out expected early issues, it was as a party of three that the Restaurant was found quiet around 6:30pm, the situation soon to change as both bar and dining room were filled just shy of capacity by eight. Greeted by GM John Anthony shortly after seating, his leadership of a youthful front of house evident in the room’s flow and the way plates are described, it was with Chef Brian Howard on vacation that cooking was left to Alec Paki and Anthony La Mantia, though in credit to Brian those unaware of his absence would have never guessed. Described as offering “American Cookery,” but absorbing the influences of Las Vegas’ Chinatown without feeling like ‘fusion,’ it is with housemade Bread that all tables should consider getting started, the aggressive use of Sesame bolstered by Butter that tastes like Cheese and that same sort of umami-amplification found in “Chips & Dip” where Fish Rillettes are complimented by Roe and Crème Fraiche. Reminiscing next of Sparrow + Wolf’s 2018 targeting by vegans with two types of Foie Gras, the daily preparation featuring three seared ounces beneath caramelized Sugar and boozy Figs, it is from the mind of one of the kitchen’s youths that Mousse comes in the form of a landscape, sharp sours and sweetened Shallots each contributing such that no two bites are quite the same. Serving portions best measured as “medium plates,” IE sharable by two to three but also appropriate for solos, all but those with a particular fondness for Marrow will likely wish to share four roasted Bones topped in Pineapple amidst thick and sticky Peanut Sauce, each bite predictably rich but not too spicy while “Osso Buco Tortellini” places Potato-filled pockets in a Peruvian-influenced Butter Sauce topped by spoon-tender Meat. Changing up the Octopus, and offering a good portion of charred Tentacles for just $18, it was only Sparrow + Wolf’s “California Shrimp” that came up short amongst new items, the buttered Curry Toast divine on its own and better dipped in Broth while the Crustaceans themselves were enjoyable but sort of just “there” as opposed to being incorporated into the plate. Not passing up Sin City’s best Side Dish, Brian’s Japanese Sweet Potato with Umeboshi on this night offered with housemade Chinese Sausage on the side for a guest that does not eat Pork, it was after a complimentary glass of minty Amaro that Dessert got started, first with poached Pluots in the form of an adult Sundae followed by equally mature Donuts that eat light in terms of texture as well as sweetness. Literally putting “the Lime in the Coconut” next, Sparrow + Wolf’s Panna Cotta the sort that will stick-a-spoon-up-straight without feeling heavy, it was while remarking on strength of the Restaurant’s Pastry program that the pièce de résistance arrived, a thick slice of housemade Brioche on this evening served beneath an enormous scoop of Orange Julius Ice Cream with Caramelized Pineapple to protect it from melting.

From the minute you walk in the door, you know you’re somewhere special. Especially for its locale in Chinatown. It’s decor is understated, high-end swank, the space is quiet and good for dates but also a great place to hang with friends. We had mainly vegetarian gluten-free items, which is in itself hard to believe, but they were all so unusual and flavorful that we didnt need the meat. We had some amazing brussel sprouts that were charred and invoked smoke rather than screamed it. The japanesesweet potato was another slam dunk. We also had the beet tartar. Which had a spice I wasn’t crazy about but my friends truly enjoyed. The lamb neck was enjoyed y a couple near us and the skate wing is on our to-do list. The prices are medium high but because the plates can be shared, it all works out. A shout-out for the staff for being attentive, the bartenders for their tasty hand-crafted cocktails, and management for the hands-on touch. This restaurant is a must!

We started with a choice of wine which they had run out of - at the start of dinner?? It just appeared to be up selling but it might be genuine that you did not have time to check your stock levels before you open at 5 pm. Food did not match prices - very small portions. Service is slow - honestly appeared disorganised We had a business associate with us - I felt embarrassed about the experience Didn’t ask my friends - but I left hungry

We had high expectations for our dinner here. We ordered a-la cart and not the tasting menu. The food was mostly pretty good, oysters were Good, oxtail hummus (ok) has a tiny bit of oxtail, Hamachi (good), daily special Foie Gras (EXCELLENT!). Now this is where it went wrong. We still had 2 more items from the grill yet to arrive, but after about 1.5 hours we cancelled the remaining order and left. To be fair the place was very busy, but we did not see our waiter much at all after the appetizers. We do not know if there was a mix-up or this place is really SLOW. Would we go back, we are not sure at this point.

Creative small plates & good cocktails with great service. Lots of parking. Romantic place for an impressive date night.

Sparrow and Wolf (Herbivore and Carnivore) is one of those little neighborhood gems that serve an eclectic assortment of small plates. Unless you are seeking a very specific dish, I highly recommend the eight course tasting with wine pairing. And the eight courses are likely actually closer to 12 plates. We enjoyed food from Japan, China, Thailand, India, Italy, France, Spain and many more. Lots of exotic vegetables, such as salsify and meaty mushrooms; and exotic meats and sea foods from oysters to lamb tartar, sea urchin, on and on, each alongside a matching glass of wine. You will leave happy, warm, silly and satiated! Service was terrific with each serving prepared, served and interpreted at your table with perfect timing! Great staff!

First and foremost. S+W is very easy to find and not in a dodgy neighborhood. Weird that a couple of reviews here below make those comments. Unless you spend all your time on Rodeo Drive or 5th Avenue, this neighborhood is very normal mini-mall Southwest stuff. There are two other popular restaurants right next to S+W and the parking is easy but bustling. Finding S+W is also really easy. It is on the greatest food streets in America, Spring Mountain Road. Very clearly marked, with a very colorful mural that wraps around the building. For anyone making the trek from the strip, it's a direct turn off Las Vegas Blvd. Literally one turn from one of the most famous streets in America. Now, on to the what maters, the restaurant, food and service! S+W is one of my favorite spots

I really wanted to like this place but it just didn't stand out. Obviously they know how to cook using different seasonings and use up-to-date methods such as sous vide style cooking. The menu and flavors are quite eclectic and varied, but nothing truly stood out. I instead like bold and well-defined flavors. We had the beef cheek, lasagna, short rib, raw tuna, and others. It was good, melt in your mouth type of food, but perhaps could be a bit simpler with more flavor as opposed to diverse flavor. Hard to explain, but I hope my review makes sense. It could be worth a try, everyone is different and you may like it. Definitely wasn't bad, but just not for me. Excellent service, very kind and attentive wait staff.

Great experience. We had party of 8 with different preferences including one person with allergies. Everything on the menu looked yummy and we had hard time to choose, then our server Felicia offered to create a sharing menu for the whole table. And what a superb job she did! We enjoyed every piece of every meal she selected. The drinks were good too, and nicely presented. So was the whole atmosphere. Would highly recommend this place - forget the Strip and go there, you will not be disappointed!

My darling and I we like to have something special last night than she make the reservation. The kitchen is vey visible in the middle and the chef send us oysters complimentary. The cold cuts was good beside the cheese that was really minimal accompanied with prosciutto and bresaola. The duck was very good served in a kind of pot/plate little difficult to cut but cooked just perfect.

This was truly great and amazing dining experience and totally worth the trip off the strip for it! This is a great place for couples and friends even for dates as the food should be shared and eaten family style. It’s similar to tapas style eating but the portions are larger then traditional tapas and the food is also classic American. Had the 56 day aged porterhouse special and this was best steak I’ve ever eaten.

It has been several months since we last dined here. Not only have they remodeled the entry to the restaurant but the menu was changed as well. We are happy to report that the food is as fresh and innovative as when we last dined here. The oysters were as fresh as ever and the freshly baked bread was wonderful. We also enjoyed the hamachi crudo and collar, the octopus dish, a savory beetroot dish that you wouldn’t believe is vegetarian and a mixed mushroom dish. Of course, they serve great craft cocktails and have a small wine list full of gems. The desserts just missed the excellence mark though but were truly original— the mixed fruit cobbler was very good. Sparrow and Wolf remains a must go to restaurant.

We can’t say enough about this off-strip find in Chinatown: cool relaxed hip and friendly space, enthusiastic articulate servers and a humble gifted and creative chef: these ingredients combine to make a restaurant of rare experience: chef Brian blend amazing spaces from many cultures to create recipes that are fresh and astonishing. We ate the Spanish grilled octopus, The poached shrimp with Thai toast and the slow roasted cauliflower. Every dish was so astonishing I wanted to lick the bowl. The chef came out and met us twice and he was humble and earnest and warm and inviting. I felt like I was in his home. He is up for a James Beard nomination so go to this restaurant before you can’t get in.

I’m always looking for something really good and not on the strip. My research lead me to Sparrow & Wolf. I made a reservation for 1 which wound up being a bar seat which was perfect. Upon walking in a wanted to love this place. It’s a relatively small place, lively atmosphere, casual feel, interesting dishes. When I sat down I almost made up my mind this would be 5/5 based on initial impressions and the menu. It definitely didn’t feel like “Vegas” more so an up and coming area on a major city like the West Loop in Chicago. Which was a great change of pace from the mega strip hotels and celebrity chef restaurants. I was greeted immediately by Drew behind the bar. Great attitude and full of information and recommendations which I really appreciated. I started with a cocktail. I initially had the Spring Mountain Sour in mind but then I saw special cocktail on the specials menu. I ordered that, unfortunately all the sage syrup had been used up so back to the Sour. It was a good cocktail. I noticed everything being made behind the bar was good technique and fresh ingredients. One thing that happened next…I was asked if indented ice water or sparkling. I went with sparkling. I took a drink and noticed something. If you’ve ever had a wine that was “corked” that musty smell, you’ll never forget what it’s like. That’s what the water smelled and tasted like. I had to mention it, and was given a new glass with sparkling water, since it may have been the glass or how it was cleaned. Unfortunately same odor. I switched to ice water. I asked and was given recommendations for food. I was advised the items were mostly small plates and took that into account. I started with the Bahn Cuon with duck. When it eventually came it was very good. I didn’t look at the time but it was probably 25-30 minutes from when I ordered to when it came. At one point I was told it was being finished and wound be right out and it was probably 5-7 minutes after that. I asked for a wine recommendation with it that I enjoyed. Next I ordered the beef tartar and also put in an order for the secreto pork as my main. Both of these items were very good. The only problem was again after a decent amount of time the pork came out. No beef tartar. I started on the pork and the about 1-2 minutes later the beef tartar came out. I was a little frustrated at this point after the length of time on the first item and then the next 2 coming out of order and basically at the same time. I received another wine recommendation which I enjoyed. I think I observed during the service hiccups that same of the servers did notice the problems and weren’t happy about it. I did finish with the chocolate torte which again was very good. At the end, it was a very good restaurant and I would definitely put on the list to go back again. The food was great there were just some timing issues and the sparkling water situation was odd. I did get comped on glass of wine because the issues which I greatly appreciated. From conversations I had while there the restart recently received some very good reviews which were significantly increasing its popularity.

Small place but great chef - every dish more incredible than the next, see if you can get Ryan to be your waiter then listens to his advice—-Wow

One of our stops during a Vegas foodie fest. The website was fantastic so we made reservations for a Saturday evening. On arrival we were greeted and seated by warm and enthusiastic staff. The menu was not easy to decipher but with some help we made some choices. We ordered a couple drinks, one of the house concoctions that was a little boring but the overall selection of spirits and beer on hand was well conceived. The Charcuterie plate was tasty albeit micro sized- the duck pate' was the hit of the evening, the hunter sausage very good but too small. The Uni Melt small plate was good but not alive with flavors as hoped. Hearth Baked fresh bread was very good with flavorful and hard to crisp crusts. For larger servings we shared the Wood Fire lamb lasagna which was served in a bowl and frankly had nothing on Olive Garden... Our order of Wood Roasted Maitake mushrooms had a grand total of 3 chewy shrooms hidden among nicely done sweet potato chips and over spiced humus- this was the only dish with any significant seasoning albeit over the top. The special plate for the night was a Tomahawk Pork Chop. It was presented beautifully on a bed of green polenta. The sauce visually lite up the chop, but fell short on flavor. The polenta was indecipherable- we just didn't get it. It was cooked to medium, but it still was quite durable (spelled tough) and the only portion with flavor was chewed from the bones. Based on its appearance to flavor ratio, it was an Epicurean roller coaster... Overall the evening was a bit disappointing. The staff was great but ultimately overrun with a full house that turned twice while we worked our way through the menu. Nice place with a good vibe that I hope survives, it has great intentions, super front of house but needs more intensity from the kitchen. If we return it will be to try the Beef Rib....It looked great!

Lots of great restaurants on the Las Vegas strip...but even better when you get away from that area. Sparrow + Wolf is one such example. We had the tasting menu with the addition of the fois gras. Great presentation, taste and ingenuity. Highly recommend.

Started with cocktails, really interesting, well crafted cocktail menu. I had the Golden Pig. We went for The chefs choice menu. 6 courses ranging from oysters, cruising through a beet tartar and lobster ending with a roasted duck. Just amazing. Beautiful, well presented dishes. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Great service.

From start to finish the food and experience was spectacular. Upon arrival it seams less than expected but once you sit down and the service begins you will be amazed from beginning to end. Of all my Vegas experiences this would have to have been the best food hands down. 5 star isn’t enough! Thank you

Having spent 3 weeks in the USA we had enough crab, burgers, steaks and fried stuff to sink a ship and we didn’t want to take out a mortgage to eat in one of the hotel ‘fine dining’ places. A friend recommended this place and it was superb. We had our 2 teenagers with us and they were the only kids in there, but the place was full on a Monday night, which says a lot. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive without being in your face. Decent wine list. Food was all excellent though. Lots of flavour, very high quality ingredients and very well executed. Our bill was $300 for four, including drinks, bottle of wine, tip. Not cheap for some people but I thought it was great value for money.

Ate dinner at Sparrow + Wolf and had an exceptional meal. We have eaten there several times in the past and each has been a delightful treat. We started with their oysters chilled with Aji Amarillo Hot Sauce. They were succulent and the Aji Amarillo Hot Sauce just right- not overpowering but adding the perfect zing. Next, we enjoyed their oysters charcoal grilled basted in miso butter with bacon breadcrumbs. Just perfect! That combination was the best hot oysters we have had- much better than the more typical oysters Rockefeller had elsewhere. We followed those with pan roasted Hudson Valley Foie Gras that was superb! We also had the coal fired Spanish Octopus in a Chickpea ‘stew’ with chili garlic crunch that was a taste treat. The grilled oysters were so good that we ordered another round of them. Finally, to top it off we enjoyed a special desert of Japanese Milkbread with vanilla ice cream and berry coulis. Outstanding. Unfortunately, the food was sooo inviting, I forgot to take pictures of everything except the Foie Gras and the Octopus.

We had to be worked in for a very late reservation but they did a great job accommodating us. Here are the things that make this restaurant a five star experience! 1. Unusual but excellent cuisine. No boring food on the menu. We had the ravioli, the oxtail hummus and the shrimp toast. All fabulous. 2. Host or owner came over to greet us! 3. It was my birthday and they served the four of us a free glass of champagne….nice touch 4. Free birthday dessert was also a nice touch 5. Server, hostess, and staff were all over the top friendly This is a hidden gem but I would return in a heartbeat! Well done Sparrow and Wolf, well done!

There is no Michelin guide in Las Vegas any more but if there was this would have at least 1 star, if not two. Fabulous wine pairings and food to die for. Go here if you can

Enter the mind of a millenial chef and a hipster owner. The key word is EXPERIENCE; everything's curated to deliver a unique, innovative experience. In a small, whimsically-decorated shop, adventure awaits. Start with an inventive cocktail served in a playful glass (I highly recommend the "Elephant in the room"). Enjoy a family-style dinner ambitious in its design and complex in its taste. The staff is casual but knowledgeable. The best kept secret out of The Strip!

We had reserved a long time in advance and still got a tiny table for two in the middle of the aisle, where waiters were constantly rushing past. That was a bit annoying and the restaurant was generally very loud and hectic. The food was very good, but every course was cold. We had hummus with oxtail, lamb and ribs with broccoli.

Wonderful, creative, eclectic menu. Highly recommend the tasting menu. It’s a lot of food, though manageable, and gives you the full experience of what this kitchen is able to do.

To begin, I had been hearing about this place for months, without really knowing exactly where it was, yet when I looked it up before we went, I found it very easy to find, which isn't always the case when traveling to Chinatown in Las Vegas, Nevada. As we drove up Spring Mountain Rd, the signage was large and bright and very easy to find. We pulled into a crowded parking lot, which is also a great sign for a new restaurant, and there was ample parking left for us. When we arrived in the door, the decor and ambiance was very inviting and soothing. We immediately felt at home. The hostess was working very hard and at the same time was impressively friendly and accommodating. Our wait was 20 minutes, but we were sat in less than 10. We were given a choice, and I generally gravitate to the bar. Our service was prompt, friendly and professional right from the start. Including that we were given space while we made our initial decisions. Every question we had was answered with a smile and great recommendations were given. The most impressive aspect of Sparrow and Wolf were the drink selections and their exotic glassware. We started with A Gnome in Bangkok which was served in a really cool copper gnome with a copper straw. It was delicious and fun. I also had a glass of red wine that I found delicious and the next cocktail tried was the Jump the Shark. This was like a strong tiki drink served in a ceramic shark mug. Loved it! As for our food, our selections came out at a nice pace. We started with oysters and the beet and endive salad. Both were decorative and well dressed, and easy to share. I found the bowl for the salad beautiful, but a bit deep for sharing. Next we got our bread which comes when ordered at a charge of five dollars. The bread was delicious, but small for five dollars, especially considering most places offer bread for free. Next we ate the Hearts of Palms salad. Beautiful dish as well and the best most balanced dish we had all night considering flavor and texture. We enjoyed it thoroughly and my favorite part was that we saved half of it so that we wouldn't get too full, and eating it at home a day later, it still had the excellent texture and flavors. No extreme wilting that usually happens when you bring home salad. Our main course, we tried the Sweet Breads with Korean spiced acorn squash and Au Poivre. The portion size of sweet breads was really large, so for the money I felt it was a bargain. the acorn squash was cooked perfectly but I did not notice the Korean spice at all. I also did not feel that the Au Poivre did the dish any favors. It was thin and did not compliment the sweet breads. All in all, I had a great experience. Our dessert was the chocolate caramel tart which seemed to be a product of magic 😊 I wouldn't know where to begin making such an amazing work of art. The design and look, the combination of flavors had us literally scraping the plate for more. I will visit them again. And again, and again. Great job and well done, Brian and Sparrow and Wolf team. Best of luck going into the future.

To begin the restaurant was full and each of us thought the other made the reservations. John Anthony, one of the partners, could not have been nicer and assured us they would accommodate us. The menu was unique and initially a bit intimidating. The choices were very different. We tired the duck dish, a veggie dish a salad and fish just to name a few. I was concerned it might be to spicy but it was a perfect blend of various flavors. Every dish was amazing!! The service was personable and flawless and staff checked on us multiple times to make sure we were happy. We will definitely return to this fantastic dining opportunity.

Must try in Vegas! It is off strip but the food is definetly worth it. We had the foie gras brulee and it was cooked perfectly. The sourdough bread was fresh and very crunchy. Octopus was tender and well seasoned. Fantastic meal.

If you’re from out of town, don’t be fooled by the strip-mall location. Sparrow + Wolf, buried amongst numerous probably excellent Asian restaurants, delivered one of the best meals I had in 2025. It’s innovative, surprising, and genuinely fun. The experience instantly reminded me of the first time I ate at Juniper & Ivy: that feeling that the kitchen is playing at a very high level but never takes itself too seriously. We opted for the tasting menu. The oyster duo (hot and cold) may be the best composed oyster dishes I’ve ever had. In fact, we promptly ordered a dozen more. The foie gras with mole blanco was rich and balanced, deeply savory. Another standout dish was the sweet corn agnolotti with shaved porchetta and dried salsa verde. The wood-fired lamb with white beans is precisely what you want on a winter night. And the black pepper pork flank with peanut nuoc cham is everything I love about food: bold, layered, and soulful. The sommelier deserves her own praise. She was engaging and fun, and she led us to some genuinely surprising wines. The Greek rosé-looking wine was as distinctive as it was delicious (Roditis or Assyrtiko?). If I weren’t so busy eating and drinking, I would have snapped a picture of the label. Service throughout was excellent: attentive, knowledgeable, and relaxed. And the price point? Frankly astonishing for the level of cooking, creativity, and hospitality on display. I genuinely don’t know how they do this at this cost point (having eaten the night before at Joel Robuchon, which I love), but I’m grateful they do.

Have now been to Sparrow + Wolf three times and this last time was the best. Forget about the pricy restaurants on the Strip in Vegas. Take an UBER 15 minutes off the Strip to Sparrow + Wolf for an unbelievable feast. I’m almost reluctant to review this place again as each time we go it is more and more difficult to get a reservation- the word is out! We had the Tasting Menu- AMAZING!!! Seven courses of delectable morsels of every kind. Can’t describe them as the combinations of foods/spices defies description. Full bar, great service, young/fairly loud (energetic) atmosphere. Just GO! You will not regret it. Best Restaurant in Vegas.

Get of the strip for this small restaurant that was bursting with interesting flavors. Lots of interesting choices for meat eaters as well as vegans.

We dined at Sparrow + Wolf for a special occasion, celebrating three birthdays, but unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations. Here are some key issues we experienced: • Oyster Mix-Up: Oysters were mistakenly brought to our table and left there briefly before being taken to the correct table. As a rule of thumb, once food has touched a table, it shouldn’t be served to other guests. • Dishes Left Uncleared: Our plates from previous courses were never cleared, leaving remnants of each dish on the table and plates. This affected the experience, as each new dish tasted like the previous one due to the clutter of leftovers. • Missed Celebrations: Despite noting three birthdays in our reservation, our server never once acknowledged the occasion, which felt impersonal (the host also didn’t mention it). After taking our order, the service became very transactional, and our server didn’t return to check in on us. • Lack of Attention: Our server failed to ask if we wanted another drink, despite us being ready to order more. We had to flag her down, only for her to respond casually, as if we hadn’t been waiting. • Messy Table: With each new dish, the table became progressively messy, and no effort was made to clean or tidy up during our meal. We had to ask the busser to clear our plates and clean the table before the entrées arrived, and to provide us with new knives. While the food was fantastic, the service really left something to be desired. Our server never introduced herself, which is why I couldn’t recall her name, and we didn’t feel the personal touch or attention to detail that would make the experience memorable. The restaurant also seemed a bit chaotic, with staff running into each other and crammed behind the computer screen station, trying to figure things out in the dining area. Perhaps relocating that station would reduce the appearance of chaos and even free up space for additional seating.

We had an amazing experience and Sparrow + Wolf, Monday July 17th, 2023. We were doing some research before our trip and came across this find and made a reservation. We were a party of 4, made some notes as to what we were celebrating in the reservation notes which they paid attention to. It's off the main Vegas strip in China town and worth going off the beaten path for. The ambiance and food is spectacular. Once seated we were greeted with warmth and had a discussion about the special occasion we were celebrating. Our dessert also addressed the congratulations on the plate. Any staff member that came to our table exuded the same vibe, they knew what they were doing, they liked what they were doing and knew how to look after you, even if they were just filling up your water glass, professionalism + love showed through. We paid attention to what was suggested as to menu items and went with all the suggestions and a few of our own choices. There is an explosion of happiness in every mouthful in any dish, and you feel exactly what the name means - the delicateness of the sparrow + the more powerful wolf. There is a softness in every dish with the contrasting explosion of flavor. The food was so good all 4 of us had a hard time ranking the dishes...we had 4 appetizer dishes, 4 main courses and one dessert - all shared. We left nothing on our plates, we enjoyed and savored every bite. Cocktails were another hit - we loved the names, and one of them has a $3 donation towards the world central kitchen fund (until Sept 30th) which was a hit with us! I wish I remembered everybody's names so I could mention them in this review. We left just before sunset and there is great photo opportunity in the front of the restaurant, their sign lights up and there's an arch and a bench and back drops signs - we got some great memorable pictures, and food pics during dinner! Family being together celebrating/tourists in Vegas! This place gets 5 star rating. It's spectacular. I feel as if I was somewhere very special and Chef and kitchen staff - you all have amazing talent. Thank you.

didn't reserve, so ate at the bar with a friend - even on weekdays, you should reserve. The normal portions are on the small side, so the price is around $100/person with wine. We got the carpaccio - fabulous - and the steak. The steak however, is not a lightweight. At 32oz it easily feeds two. They have a fancy bento box and a tasting menu. I look forward to returning, not something I'd usually say at these prices, but this is a gem.

We had heard a bunch of good things about S+W and were excited to go. Its in a strip mall near china town and that all fine -- the decor is cool and so is the cleintele. No cheesy Vegas "bros" - more like an authentic crowd you'd find in any urban center. Unfortunately that's about the best thing I can say about the meal we had there. Service was okay -- our server was really nice but she was hard to find. We shared a few things... two were really good -- the marrow and the hamachi -- but there was not a lot of marrow. Everything else ranged from bad to really bad and that would include the Uni Melt, the Hearth Baked Bread, the Oysters and something else i can;'t recall. The drinks were okay at best -- we decided not to stay for dinner. I wouldn't go back.

We were a little concerned about the neighborhood and exterior of Sparrow and Wolf, but we were very pleased with their modern yet comfy interior. And the food was amazing! We decided not to afford the Chef’s Tasting ($135 each), however we were really happy with each of the four dishes we shared - Artichoke Salad, Oxtail Raviolis, Sourdough Bread, and Vietnamese Caramelized Pork Ribs. Very complex and pleasing flavors in every bite. Our server was a little hard to find at times and very slow to bring our check, but he was pleasant and very helpful and our drinks were quickly refilled by other staff.

Our friends suggested this place-awesome food. We had the dumplings, the tomatoes were to die for, the duck was fantastic and the beef and 'big a#@ pork shank' was outstanding! We met both the owner and Chef-they were amazing! Although everything exceeded our expectations, the BREAD, made on site in a Spanish oven was the BOMB-you have to have the bread-it is addicting! My only complaint is that the place is LOUD but we were able to manage to have great conversation in spite of it. Very accessible from the Strip and the neighborhoods-make a reservation and go!

Amazing tasting - a culinary journey with Asian influences. We did the 4 course tasting with wine pairings. The som Nick was personable knowledgeable and engaged. Food was ridiculously delicious and unique in its combinations. Service was spot on, efficient, thoughtful and attentive. My only minor comment is it is very busy and loud, and in the side “wine” room where we were seated, it’s easier to talk but you may be blinded by the bright overhead kitchen lights if you are seated that direction. As others have said, it’s 20% auto gratuity and with wine pairings, it’s a ~ $525+ bill. That’s more than we dropped at Delilah and Nobu but we also enjoyed the meal more. Just don’t expect the atmosphere and ballroom glitz of the big named, chef inspired Strip restaurants. We’ll go back again for sure, especially as they change their menu seasonally.

Definitely not a run of the mill restaurant. Was impressed with how well everyone is trained. From the person checking you in to the wait staff to the bussers. Any question about the menu or about recommendations will be answered in great detail by any employee. The food is really good and the portions are small. Even the far right column (entrees) includes small dishes. This isn’t a complaint, but just a heads up to those who are expecting a large plate in front of them for the entree. The ingredients tend to be very rich (bone marrow, etc..) so smaller portions fill you up. The prices are high, but when taking in to consideration the space, the kitchen, the large staff, the top quality ingredients, and extremely high quality of the food, they are justified.

A friend recommended this place and as soon as we walked in I could tell it was going to be special. I went completely out of my comfort zone and tried a dozen new things and they all were incredible. The foie gras, bone marrow, and octopus were all great. The porterhouse was absolutely remarkable. The romesco was the star of the show for me though. Never knew vegetables could taste like that. I will always make it a point to come here when near vegas. Off strip a bit and it shows in the prices. Could have paid double and wouldn't have been a bit mad. Hands down the best meal I have ever had... Go here immedietly if your reading this review

Everything here was top notch. We had the braised lamb neck, the wood fired lasagna and for an appetizer we had specialty item of a BBQ'd and caramelized fish. The craft cocktails were the best of our trip. They had one snafu and mistimed our 2 main courses by 30 mins - when they realized their mistake the manager and waiter came to apologize and comp'd a round of drinks - a class act.

I found this gem off of a Facebook vegas group. Took an uber there and loved it. Off strip, great food, great ambiance. I'm planning on going back. Off strip so the prices are good. One must, get a cocktail (or several, its vegas) they are very unique and bomb. Cheers 🍻

My husband & I heard great things about this restaurant. You need to make reservations early, if you have a specific date to go. We lucked into a reservation mid-week, so that might have changed now, but I'd still check early. My group enjoyed the meal, but I don't do beef or shellfish, so I didn't have many options. It's a bunch of small plates, and they are small. Good for sharing, so the more the merrier, but I found it too pricey for the food. Lack of options, also surprised me but the food was good. Just not worth all the hype IMO. There are better restaurants on the Strip.

Tonight's sampling of menu items at this well known Off Strip restaurant, are some of the most creative offerings and libations in Las Vegas, brought to us by Chef Brian Howard . This restaurant is a definite "must visit". Not really being a fan of lamb, Chef Brian tried "selling me" on braised lamb neck (not what you think). This was excellent and definitely not your Mother's lamb chops, Pictured are Olive Oil Poached Shrimp with Thai Curry Toast and Osso Buco Tortellini with edible flowers. Keep in mind that these are smaller portions, designed for sharing. Enjoy!

On a recommendation from a friend that lives in Las Vegas, we ate dinner there on a Saturday night. It was off the Strip, but conveniently right down the road from the location for the Cirque show. The menu had a number of (what I would consider) unusual entrees and appetizers. Nothing too unusual, but I definitely recommend that anyone check the menu before choosing to eat there. We were craving steak, so the splitting the 36 oz Porterhouse was a great solution. It came with 11 (I think) little plates of flavorful additions for the Steak. I can't even begin to describe all the amazing flavors. The Steak was great and the flavors were truly special. The bread was also very good. It was not cheap, but it was a very interesting and different dining experience. I would recommend it as a change of pace and a nice respite from the same old same old. Plus being off the Strip made it easy to find, easy to park and easy to get in and out.

Never disappoints. Eclectic menu items that have deep flavors. Try oxtail hummus as a starter, outstanding. Octopus sukiyaki was next and excellent. Fire roasted rack of lamb is excellent. Like most restaurants, serving sizes were less than previous visits, almost small plate is what we ordered which was enough for 3 plus dessert. Specials are announced when you are seated. Call ahead for reservations, highly popular for table or bar service.

Without question one of the most important off-Strip Restaurants in Las Vegas, ongoing recognition from customers and local Media attesting to this fact while several new openings on Spring Mountain Road suggest Chef Brian Howard to have initiated a cultural shift, it was as a group of six that dinner was enjoyed at Sparrow + Wolf of Friday, the new Private Dining Room utilizing previously neglected real estate and creating an environment more conducive to conversation. Open since May 2017 and an ongoing hot-ticket, frequent menu changes plus an innovative Cocktail program drawing a diverse crowd that trends young, it was just prior to 6:15pm that all were seated at a long table situated where the hostess stand previously existed, views of the kitchen available but somewhat more limited than previously thanks to a culinary library reportedly soon to triple. Serving seven days a week based on popularity, signage out front suggesting Tuesday’s dark no longer accurate, it was after greetings from educated staff led by John Anthony that options were perused, three nightly specials offering additional temptation beyond 75% new plates compared to nine months prior. Now presenting just one tasting menu, $125 per guest, it was as a result of less-adventurous palates that a la carte was instead selected, two Loaves of housemade Bread starting things off and quickly devoured prior to the arrival of other plates including Crudo, Salad, Scallops and a complimentary “Ocean Parfait” that placed tender Tongues of Uni beneath saline Cream with a bit of heat and added umami from lightly smoked Fish Eggs. Acknowledging Urchin to be an acquired taste, though this allowed plenty of Parfait for those who enjoy the flavor and consistency, it was as a sort of mid-course that additional plates arrived as Rage Against the Machine played overhead, Duck Confit & Sweet Potato Dumplings unfortunately over-aggressive with Chili Oil that rendered the contents mute while Pate En Croute amidst assertive sourness and an elegant Foie Gras preparation serving three ounces prepared in Pumpkin Oil atop Brioche were hearty yet balanced and perfect for colder temperatures outside. In no particular hurry, conversation flowing from both ends of the table as System of a Down played at modest volume, it was thirty minutes after Appetizers were cleared that Entrees arrived, a staggered delivery allowing everything to be tasted temperature appropriate with the Wood Fired Lasagna expectedly a fan favorite while many encountering Skate for the first time marveled at its buttery Flesh that Chef Howard carefully pairs to bright Citrus. Growing heavier from here, sides of layered Potatoes with Chives and Trout Roe plus grilled Eggplant that reminisces of deconstructed Baba Ghanoush completing a full table, guests willing to share are encouraged to strongly consider the 32oz Porterhouse offered with side-plates including Eggs, Octopus and several Sauces while those seeking something truly special should not forgo Lamb’s Neck braised on the Bone and served with pickled Fruits and Vegetables that can either help refresh the mouth between bites or be used in conjunction with supple Meat and Scallion Pancakes to create a complex mouthful Requesting Coffee with Dessert, its arrival almost ten minutes after never explained, suffice it to say that the fact that some Carrot Cake was left-over despite being divided by six diners should attest to how well “Parsley-Yogurt” Sorbet went over, the remainder all far better with flattened Pavlova light and fragrant while Honey Toast and the all-new Caramelized White Chocolate Terrine competed for top-billing, the latter surely more labor intensive and multifaceted thanks to top notes of Cardamom and Cumin though the guilty pleasure aspect of toasted Bread, Honey and lots of Butter is impossible to deny. *****Always a confident Restaurant, but evolving by way of a series of self-edits into a mature space that can accommodate almost any sort of diner, Sparrow + Wolf may never serve a “perfect meal” because of the chances Chef Howard is willing to take, but for the sake of progress that is something guests seem willing to accept and any minor “miss” is sure to be made up for by at least three that are very impressive.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile now, all my friends had been talking about it for some time now. So when one of them suggested it one night after a few drinks I couldn't say no. You walk in the front door and see the beautiful open kitchen where the chefs and cooks are busy producing the fabulous food. It was my first time so I went for a bunch of little bites: three oysters all with different toppings; kizami wasabi, warm shitake mushroom vinaigrette, and grilled with miso and lemon. Next up was the Chinatown clams casino that was topped with lop cheong, shitake mushrooms and uni hollandasie. Then I had the bone marrow & beef cheek dumplings.. the dumplings were perfect and the foamed broth they were served in was divine, I had to ask for some bread so I could finish the rest of the fabulous broth! If you're a tourist visiting Las Vegas its worth the short jaunt of the Strip, and if you're a local why haven't you been here yet? I'll definitely be back for more.

My husband and I wanted to get off the strip for dinner and stumbled across this restaurant. Given everything we have seen in LV, I can't say the exterior is anything impressive (strip mall feel), however, the inside of the restaurant has a great ambiance and the food was terrific! We had a really interesting and yummy meal! I definitely recommend the charcuterie board and the bone marrow.

Luckily for us we had a reservation, so we only to wait 20 minutes for our table.... but that was only the beginning. The waitress was obviously too busy chatting with other guests to even look at us... so we wait and wait.... and wait. Let's be positive, the food was good but the portions for the entrées are not consistent, some entrées are big enough to feed you, some are just big enough to amuse you... or in our case irritate us because ordering something else means... more waiting. The cocktails were good so was the deserts but all together it was a one time experience that I have no intention to renew.

Wonderful night of Cocktails and cuisine. We went off strip on a Wednesday night and the place was packed, and for good reason. Our service was top notch, and the food was better. Its worth checking out, we will be back!

Excellent Tapas restaurant. Our waitress, Brittany, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us great guidance with the menu. Limited wine list, but good wines. An excellent choice for a group to share.

What can I say? This second visit was even better than the first. It is nice to see a restaurant keep their same high quality consistently with time. You really need to make the effort to get off the strip with its packed, expensive restaurants and variable quality. This is literally a 6 minute Uber drive away in Chinatown. The atmosphere is fun and hip, and the staff welcoming. You could be in Manhattan or San Francisco. They were excited to hear we were return visitors. We were taken care of by great wait staff that evening including our fun waitress Felicia (?). Ask the staff for recommendations on every course. There are unusual ingredients and preparations. It can help you decide how much food to order and how to pace your meal. They are never pressuring you to hurry and clear tables which is really refreshing. We tried totally different things this time. Our knock out favorite was the fresh and grilled oysters on the half shell. I am not a raw oyster person but devoured these with their unusual and complex Asian flavors. The menu is eclectic combining, Vietnamese, Italian, Spanish and New American elements. The portion sizes are totally appropriate and can be ordered as shared plates. The craft cocktails are superb. We were amused that our Uber drivers getting to and from the restaurant told us that this was their favorite place to go for a nice dinner as well. We will be back on our future Las Vegas visits.

We chose Sparrow + Wolf to celebrate my birthday after reading an online article recommendeing it as one of the restaurants to try away from the L V stip. The recommendation was spot on. The restaurant's concept is to order a few plates to share. We ordered 7 different items and they were all delicious. We had two orders of the Chef's special, foie gras with figs $24, and it was excellent. They offer a nice selection of wines and alcohol. A glass of wine (6oz) starts at $15. Mixed drinks $12. Dry aged porterhouse 35oz $96. Our server was very good and knowledgeable about the menu. He recommended the Syrah and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant is small with narrow space and bar seating. Clean bathrooms and area. The restaurant was busy so we recommend making a reservation. The portions are not big so if you're a big eater it could be pricey. There were 3 of us sharing 7 plates and 1 dessert and we were quite full.

We went with a large group arranged by a friend Who had been here and met Chef Brian and arranged a tasting of basically the entire menu. The food and service are second to none. Innovative fusion dishes with the absolute finest of ingredients . Great cocktails and wine list . There is something for everyone here, From Uni to Roasted lamb neck . Amazing!

“An unforgettable culinary journey at Sparrow + Wolf in Vegas! 🍽️ Opted for their tantalizing tasting menu which featured a divine array of flavors. Despite my lobster allergy, the menu was expertly adapted, and each dish stood out on its own with exceptional taste and presentation. Food passionate top notch service. A must-visit for foodies seeking a remarkable dining experience!”

We (2 couples) visited Sparrow + Wolf for the first time, very excited thanks to the multiple raving reviews and recommendations by friends. We picked the tasting menu + wine pairings - we did not order anything beyond the standard tasting menu + wine pairing, except for one of the 4 people in our party opting to not eat meat, so a couple of items on the standard tasting menu were replaced, for this one person, with fish items. I don't know if this added to the standard price, I assume it did for our bill ending up unexpectedly high, but I don't know as we do not have a detailed bill - which is one of the major issues we have with this restaurant - more later, but I want to first address the good things - and then list some of the not-so-good things. Let's go in order. The good: 1. Nicely located off the strip, easily accessible, and finding parking was easy and convenient. Since it rarely rains in Las Vegas, our finding a parking spot at a bit of a walking stretch from the entrance is not an issue, as we need to work on our step counts anyway. 2. The decorations, outfitting, appointments both from aesthetics and artistic standpoint were of high quality/class. 3. The food was excellent, the wine pairings were mostly excellent, too - except one red that felt a bit too light and sub par. 4. The service was personal, Nick is a great entertainer. The not-so-good: 1. The bill was $1,027 (for a party of 4 people - again ordering NOTHING extra, but the tasting menu + wine pairings - not sure if swapping a couple of meat items w/ fish dish substitutions could have been adding anything extra). We did split that up between the 2 couples and paid $513.50 each. 2. This bill force-included the tip, but we don't even know how much tip was. We would have tipped well on our own, by choice, perhaps not over 20%, but for this total, even 15% is a good sum I think - we just don't have any idea what we tipped as we were not given a choice. It is customary to auto-charge 18% tip for parties of 6 people or more, but (1) we were only 4; and (2) we have no idea what was charged. 3. We don't know that as we never saw an itemized bill either. This is a big problem, even for including this for reimbursement or tax purposes. In summary, good food, good service, good ambience, perhaps unreasonably expensive for what it was, but I may have paid this much anyway - if the price is a bit out of proportion for what it was, I say it is not by much - and that really is not our problem, because the experience was overall truly superb. Unfortunately much of that was ruined by the way the evening ended and how the bill was handled. The fact we did not see or have a detailed bill AND the forced-choice re: tipping (and not even allowed to know what we are tipping) I consider borderline shady or even illegal practice. Overall, we had a wonderful evening, 1st class experience, thanks to the company, Nick's truly engaging entertainment, and the overall high quality of everything from the ambience to the food quality, to the service. A unique experience. It would have been a strong 5 star overall rating if the bill wasn't handled this way. It is staggeringly expensive, but again, that is not my main problem, but how the bill was handled: no choice on tip and no detailed bill.

Much like review of David X B from October 2024 - our experience was of wonderful food but really a terribly poor service experience. Oxtail hummus was exquisite! Japanese sweet potato an absolutely innovative delight! Duck bahn cuon SO good. Service issues essentially ruined the experience for us though. The vibe was chaotic when we were seated next to a table of chef fellows who had service staff coming by to chat ongoing, crowding us and our actual food. We were wedged between that and a server’s station, where staff mingled and sourced cutlery, napkins, etc. Dirty plates and cutlery, then foie gras got cold while servers fumbled badly. Seemed a total absence of management or any oversight. I can’t imagine the owner(s) would stomach the many sloppy bungles we endured. Food was very, very good and deserves a better customer interface than what we had. Nonsensical, unless the place has just been sold and our server is daughter of someone who bought it. I’m careful with reviews. We were in Vegas only one night. I was embarrassed though by this dining experience, service was just so upsettingly poor.

We have been here multiple times and it never disappoints! They have a great Happy Hour and wonderful cocktails. Everything we have had has been fantastic. We really love their bread, which is cooked in an antique steam oven and it is incredibly delicious! Great waitstaff that really knows their menu.

The restaurant is located in an old strip mall well away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip. It was very loud and very crowded inside, which made it impossible to hear anything the waiters were saying about the food or the wine. As luck would have it, I was seated facing a window with a magnificent view of a MAACO auto body shop. We had the Tasting with Wine Pairing. The food was good, not great. The wine was just okay. Considering the facilities and the location, this would’ve been a decent $50/person meal. By the time the mandatory 20% gratuity was added (not mentioned by the staff, but later discovered in very small print at the bottom of the menu), the total bill came to $539.17 which was considerably more expensive than any of the much higher quality, much more conveniently located high end restaurants nearer to the strip that are actually having to pay a premium for rent to be in a desirable location. I really think staring at the MAACO sign is what turned me off of this place the most. But I really felt betrayed by the $540 bill. It just wasn’t anywhere near that caliber of food, service, or atmosphere. Maybe they could purchase some blinds or drapes to make people forget that they’re eating extremely overpriced food next to an industrial park. I definitely could not recommend this place to family or friends without feeling bad for doing so.
Escape the strip!
Really interesting and inventive menu offerings in an unassuming location. I enjoyed escaping the madness of the strip for a few hours to enjoy a calm and delicious meal with attentive staff.
