Pleasantly Surprised

By Jim R |

Typically I don’t eat dinner in a hotel restaurant, but I just didn’t feel like going out after a long day and went to Spencer’s located in the lobby of the Hilton. A bit pricey, but I had an excellent steak. Good Service.

Ribeyes are Amazing

By Small Town Traveller |

Spencer's is one of my favorite restaurants as they use infrared to cook their steaks. They come out perfect! Worth every penny!

Food keeps slipping

By Brian W |

I have been eating at this place since they first opened and it was wonderful in the early days. They continue to dumb down the food and I don't understand why. The hamburger is still okay, but I noticed they use a very low quality bacon now and on the salad with blue cheese crumbles, whatever they are using as blue cheese has no flavor at all, I think it some sort of fake cheese. The service here is great and always has been. I have seen some of the same servers for 12-15 years which is remarkable. I just wish they would do back to concentrating on quality food

Delicious food

By mayrobertq |

The food was delicious and within the price range of a good steak house. The restaurant is located inside the Hilton Hotel, right next to the Seattle International airport.

Very Good Happy Hour

By NYCWWExplorer |

I found the bar at this restaurant a good place to wind down. Food: The burger I ordered came in huge portion and was flavorful. Price: If you arrive late afternoon there is a happy hour which ends at 6 pm. You get a 25% discount on the bar food menu. Price for a glass of wine is also reasonable. If you arrive after 6 pm or order from the regular menu you may find the price on the high side. Service: all the staff at the bar were efficient and welcoming. This restaurant may not come to your mind unless you stay at the hotel. But, if you are in the airport area it is worth visiting for happy hour. The hotel has shuttle service to/from the airport.

Decent but expensive

By Tom Pamperin |

First the staff is very good. The food is generally cooked well. But the meals are very expensive, typically $25 for breakfast and dinner easily $50 to $100. Drinks, as usual are also expensive.

Great food and service

By John H |

Great food and service. The braised lamb shanks were wonderful, other dishes included mahi mahi and salads. All very good. Nice ice cream for dessert. Not cheap, but comparable to other local restaurants where the food is not as good. Would definitely go back.

Rude Waitress and Crowded Seating in Spencers

By Hard2Please |

First off, in light of the COVID situation, there were 15 tables crammed into the bar area while the entire dinning area (with designated sanitized tables) was off-limits. Every table had guests and there were people coming and leaving because there was not additional seating. The crowded seating around the bar was more that a hazard for 'unmasked' guests eating. There were three people waiting in this 15 table area around the bar, sufficient staff that the dining room tables could have been opened. The waitress was beyond rude. Perhaps she was a politician since she could quote the Washington State Governors policy on restaurants during the COVID Crisis in order not to wait on tables in the dining room. Much more attune to avoiding work than to serving the paying customer. If the Hilton is looking to reduce staff during the down-turn in guests the waitress should be the first to go. Will not eat there again and might not stay at the this Hilton again.

Good service and menu

By Franco P |

Basic but good. Ample dish with free refills on soft drinks . Slightly expensive but convient. Staff is excellent and attentive .

Great Dinner on My Birthday

By Mark M |

Spencer’s has been good every time I got there. The Breakfast buffet is good and they have excellent steaks for dinner. Prices are a bit on the high side but the quality and service is great.

Really good food and service.

By waranchelo |

I was sent to work in SEATAC for around 2 weeks so I used a lot this restaurant inside the Hotel Hilton. From breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Bar is very good. Service from every individual is outstanding. They make you feel like home. I am back again for another 10 days and no complaints.

WAY overpriced!

By jtfman |

Had to spend one night at the airport so chose the Hilton because it's right by the light rail. Went to Spencer's and was shocked at the prices - entrees started at around $40, cocktails were $15...you get the picture. Food was okay and service adequate, but would never return here, lots of better-priced options nearby.

Great food and service

By Harlow V |

This is right in the hotel lobby, they have room service from this place to your room at the Hilton. I would reccomend this place to eat!

Good Buffet Breakfast, Excellent Service

By Stephen S |

Stayed here for several days and had two breakfast buffets and evening meals. Food quality was superior as was service. Not cheap but nothing is in Seattle. A Hawaian gentleman attended us in the mornings and he was extremely attentive and friendly.

Quality Breakfast and Service

By George G |

I know this is a chop and steak place by reputation, but since we were staying at the Hilton, we had breakfast there and ordered from the menu, foregoing the buffet breakfast. Our service person was well-informed, friendly, and prompt. I had the West Seattle omelet (crab, mushrooms, and special cheese) and was pleased and the coffee was outstanding, even for Seattle. It is expensive, but convenient if you are staying at the hotel.

Overly Expensive

By WilliamMunny76 |

Nice atmosphere and conveniently located in the base of Hilton hotel I was staying in. Prices are clearly advertised and I realize there's always a slight premium to convenience when there's a nice restaurant at the hotel, but they are still out of bounds on pricing here. I ordered a cheese burger and Caesar salad to be responsible with company money, but it was still $30 and the salad was lack luster. Store bought, bagged croutons and did not have shaved, quality Parmigiano-Reggiano. Dressed nicely, but nothing to write home about. To the restaurant's credit, the burger was cooked perfectly to medium as ordered, nicely seasoned and tasty. This was a good hand crafted burger. The staff were extremely professional, fast and friendly with the right amount of attention, but I wish there were a few more protein offerings in the middle price range between forty-fifty dollar steak or fish with a la carte sides. Could have expensed the meal no problem, but just didn't feel right for solo business meal. Even so, I would look for other options if deciding to eat out in this price range in the SeaTac area.

Great breakfast and excellent service here

By KweqSmanit |

I recently had a great experience here, the breakfast buffet and service was great. Fast, warm, friendly, service with a smile. In particular Jennifer at the breakfast should be noted for her above and beyond top notch service. Plenty of selection to choose from, both hot and cold.Highly recommend.

Expensive breakfast

By Dragon P |

Expensive breakfast, service good, accommodating, generous portions but "airport pricing". May be worthwhile if included in a package. Quality fair, not amazing.

Decent hotel steakhouse

By Chang- G |

Attached to the Hilton Sea-Tac airport, this steakhouse is convenient with a decent menu and excellent service. The waitstaff was very friendly and attentive, and knowledgeable about the offerings. We started off with Dungeness crab cakes, which were 3 small cakes about the size of (very) large sea scallops -- but almost all crab meat with little filler, so a winner in my book. Sweet, tender crab meat with a nice crust. I wanted to try the Northwest oyster sampler, but unfortunately, they were out - apparently, it was a hot item and had sold out quickly. I followed up with a rib-eye steak, which was flavorful, tender, and juicy. My colleague had the grilled King salmon and it was a massive filet, and reportedly very good, cooked well, and not dry. The only miss to me was the side of sauteed Burgundy mushroooms which I felt was a bit on the salty side. However, dessert was terrific - we shared a chocolate torte, which was rich, deep dark cocoa flavor, and came with a side of excellent vanilla ice cream that complemented it well. Coffee was very good - heck, Seattle's made their name with coffee, so I expected no less!

High dollar steaks, but good

By kleektours |

We were forced to spend the night because of hurricane Irma, so we stayed in for dinner -travelled enough. The menu is limited, but the steaks were very good. Sides are all extra, too. We got out for about $125 for two. High.

Good quality and convenient

By Thrasher82 |

I was in a hurry so I sat at the bar and ordered there. The service was very good and the quality of the food excellent.

Delicious dinner!

By kristenoeser |

My mom and I ate here while we stayed at the hotel before an early morning flight. I had the filet mignon and she had the French onion soup. Both were fantastic!! Mashed potatoes as a side went perfectly and creme brûlée for dessert was the perfect way to finish the meal.

Ridiculously expensive

By Us L |

"Add" extras-- salad out of a bag, freezer-burned potatoes, under-cooked steak. Order the steak and that's what you get. The steak. Not even a good steak. Salad? Extra. Vege-terribles? Extra. Completely UNIMPRESSED.

Must have been a funny looking chicken

By Bob G |

I ordered the “Chicken Coq au vin” at the waiter’s recommendation. $31 is a bit steep for chicken, but he promised a half chicken. It was delicious- red wine reduction, bacon, fingerling potatoes, and Brussels sprouts, yum! But the half chicken was 2 thighs, a leg, and a tiny boneless triangle the size of a half dollar. Now I’m from the city and have happily paid the premium for a fine meal, but I couldn’t help but feel ripped off for $31 just for this entree. Indeed, the receipt said “half chicken”, and I was at a $119/night airport hotel, not a Michelin starred restaurant. They gave me a free dessert, so I felt ok in the end, but I still need to give you a caveat emptor on Spencer’s!

One of the best ribeyes in Seattle

By Jim C |

Had a business meeting at the Hilton catered by spencers restaurant The service was excellent the place was very clean I had the 22 ounce ribeye bake potato and Caesar salad spectacular if your boss is paying I recommend this place they pour a great drink two thumbs up

If your staying at the hotel eat at Spencer's.

By Greg P |

A wonderful little place that is very clean and bright. Bar in the corner area with televisions. The bread basket was very good and the service was outstanding. We had the hamburger and wedge salad and it was excellent. Nice wine and beer selection as well as full bar. Nice relaxing place with a limited but very good menu. Our waitress was Karen and was a joy to talk with and order from. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Great Food

By towerchic |

Great food and excellent service!! We each gad steaks that were cooked to perfection and we shared sides!! A great bottle of local Washington wine and we were set!!

Christmas Eve dinner

By TommyHawk118 |

Wanted a special place to enjoy F&B with brother & his spouse. All was as expected. Friendly waitress, good food & delightful adult bevs. Would do it again next C'mas when visiting Family in SEA.

Excellent Food Selection

By Dennis P |

I stayed overnight at the Hilton Seattle Airport between flights and decided to stay in the hotel for dinner. I am not usually impressed with hotel restaurants but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and friendly service. The atmosphere is quiet and the bar and dining area are decorated very nicely. However, the prices are fairly high, but not unusual for an airport hotel restaurant. But, by luck, I was there for Happy Hour and received reduced prices for my meal. Happy Hour ends at 6 pm. I definitely recommend this restaurant for others bto visit.

Night stay for flight out

By DBsputer |

Spencer's is nicely decorated. Had Fish and Chips in lounge was very good. Menu looks very appealing. Perhaps a bit pricey.

Very Average

By Brian W |

This was an excellent steak house when it opened in 2000. It has been dumbed down continuously over the last several years. The steaks now are just average, at a high price. I do recommend their hamburger.

Excellent French Onion Soup!

By chimelady |

So glad they were open ( started at 5 but you can order off either lunch or dinner menu). We started with the French Onion Soup...probably best we've ever had! Next split the New York Strip. Comes with plenty of sides but you can still order more if you want! Steak was good and the potatoes were very yummy. Finished off with ice cream!

Great Fish & Chips.

By Animefan1980 |

It has been 2 years ago that I had eated Fish & Chips in USA (Astoria, Portland). And today during my holiday the F&C menu at Specer's, next to Hilton Hotel Conference Seattle, I sure missed Astoria. Thank you Spencer's. I shall make a return travel to Portland 😀

4.5 stars for breakfast

By JD C |

Because of Covid, Hilton has not resumed the buffet breakfast. Instead, one can view the breakfast menu and then order at the counter before taking a seat in Spencers "lounge" area (the restaurant area was closed). As Diamond members, we were given breakfast vouchers valued at $18 per person. Without those vouchers, breakfast would have been expensive. We ordered one large coffee, a venti cappuccino, eggs Benedict, and Dungeness Crab hash with poached eggs. The food was excellently prepared, delicious, and filling, enough such that we didn't feel any need to buy food at the airport. The Crab hash was better than the typical crab cakes in that the hash wasn't laden with breadcrumbs -- great flavor. The poached soft-boiled eggs were perfect. The total cost was $61 less the two $18 vouchers.

Not for a foody

By doug |

Spencer's is a high-priced, average food quality sort of place. Nothing we had would bring us back again. We had no other choices in the hotel except room service, which comes out of Spencer's. They have a captive market if you need something to eat and don't want to go out. Perhaps we should have had Domino's deliver? At least we could say it was a value decision choice..

Beautiful hotel !! Excellent staff. Free parking too, valet or self park with meal.

By mdbackinco |

Needed a nice place to have breakfast on News Years Day. Visiting our children before they flew back home so didn't want to be rushed and on a departure time constraint. This place is so beautiful and staff just lovely ! Food was very good and Saul our waiter was the best ! Have to saw value was mid range compared to other area restaurants for breakfast. This will be our #1 destination for any SECTAC travel needs from now on. Buffet was very well done and wait staff will custom make you any type of eggs. Directly across from airport. A++.

Okay, but not a destination

By Dave M |

If you're staying at the Hilton and don't want to go out, this is a decent choice. The prices are a bit high and there's not much ambiance because it's somewhat exposed to the lobby. However, the food is pretty good.

Disappointing

By Professor-Doktor |

The staff seemed unprepared, there were hardly any customers yet seating and service was slow. My food did not come out as ordered and the creme brûlée was terrible.

Expensive!

By Robert D |

I had both dinner and breakfast here. The food and service were good, but the food was overpriced. Since I do not eat any meat at breakfast, I ordered fried eggs with breakfast potatoes. I was charged for the bacon or sausage that was part of the breakfast, but did not receive. With orange juice and a cup of tea, tax, and tip, my breakfast came to over $40!

Fantastic

By Jim_n_Seattle |

A little pricey, but well worth the investment for the quality cuts of steak served, comparable to any downtown upscale steakhouse. Great service and quality cuisine.

Chewiest steak ever!

By Anne W |

Ordered their special ribeye steak. Cooked perfectly medium rare but was the chewiest steak I have ever tried to swallow!! The steak itself looked more like a sirloin, with no ribbon of fat. I could not eat much of it because it was so chewy! The fillet mignon which my husband had was a very good steak. I was excited to find a steakhouse but disappointed in their special steak! The manager corrected this situation with a fillet mignon. My husband was done eating by the time my steak came, and I had eaten all else that I wanted from my first plate, so we ended up taking that steak home and we shared it for breakfast. Service is good but beware of the ribeye.

Convenient to the Hilton SeaTac

By InterntlTraveler10 |

Part of the hotel in the lobby. Very pricey but the food was very good and the service excellent. Would eat here again. Menu was varied with seafood and steaks. Nice bar setup was on the casual side.

Expensive but food well prepared

By derbyking98 |

My wife and I ate dinner here one night and while the food was decent we left feeling like it is very overpriced. The service was pretty good but the space lacked ambiance as there were televisions and noisy conversation going on. All in all an okay place if you just want to stick around the hotel and not walk to any of the other places that are close by.

A good choice for guests.

By bobkat1955 |

There are not many restaurants close to the Hilton, luckily this one inside proved to be a very good option. Great menu and service.

Slow and rude service

By cbroo |

We were a party of five. Having reserved a table for 6.30pm we were friendly greeted and promptly seated. A waiter asked which water we wanted and we got a bottle of Pllegrino immediately. However, this waiter never was seen again and we were left for at least 15 min until another waitress came to get drink orders. Drinks appeared and again it took forever to get the attention to place our food order. Starters came out and when I asked for my main to be brought out faster as I had to catch a plane (this was almost 50 min after being seated) I was lectured the main entrees would all come out together. When my medium - rare ordered steak finally showed up 1.15min after being seated it was well done! I had no time left to had it go back which was offered to me. No further accommodation or apology was rendered. Bad, rude table service. Taking their relatively high prices into account, this is unacceptable. Cannot recommend and will not go back.

Great burgers in the Bar

By Stephen R |

Good place for happy hour cocktails and light bites upon arrival. Buffet breakfast is pretty good too.

Always consistently good

By N4035DWlindac |

Spencer's never fails to deliver on taste and service. The food was very good and the waiter attentive, polite and efficient. I had lunch and dinner while staying in the Hilton Airport Seattle. I will eat here again.

Spencer's at the Hilton Seatac

By Terry M |

Very impressive dinners and steaks. Burgers and apps are great as well. Nice and open space in the middle of the atrium and atmosphere is great.

Breakfast 2 days in a row

By Sue Ann M |

Excellent food . Look forward to coming again. I had Chilaquiles both days, grandson tried salmon bacon and enjoyed it.

Simply Wonderful

By TravelSinceRetired |

Had a fantastic if unusual dinner here tonight. My wife started with the Spencers greens. Fantastic looking salad that she said was very good. I started with the crab cakes ... I have had crab cakes many places in the world; these were the best I have ever had anywhere ... period! My wife had the (seared) ahi; delicious. I finished with the onion soup which was fantastic. Washed it all down with Indian Wells cab. Service was perfect too ... thank you David G ! Spendy but well worth it.

Just another average hotel restaurant

By Rougehoon |

We were travelling with our five children ages 3-17. The buffet is pricey and for our group the bill was high...but not unexpected for a hotel. Service was fair and our server hard to find. Second morning we skipped the hotel breakfast and sent the kids to 711 to pick up drinks and something small to start the day. Much easier on the pocketbook.

I really enjoyed the Octopus and the French Onion Soup

By RichardZ815 |

I really enjoyed the Octopus and the French Onion Soup. Service was pretty good to excellent. I think my son enjoyed a steak he ordered. It is better than typical hotel restaurant food, but pricey.

Great hambergers

By csheheane |

We loved the hamburgers. They were huge. In fact my husband and I split one for lunch since we would be ordering dinner later in the evening. We also ate breakfast. I had the $14.00 fruit , cereal muffins, yogurt etc. It was delicious. My husband ordered the omelet. He said it was very good.

Ok food but overpriced

By Emjai1920 |

I stayed in the adjacent hotel recently for a business trip. Because of my limited time in the city this was one of my few options for all of my meals. The midday weekday lunch menu is limited and so I only had a few options but the dinner menu was much more expensive. Even for a hotel airport location I thought the items were quite pricey. I actually opted out for dinner and order via Grubhub to get something cheaper. Breakfast was good with lots of options but again a tad bit expensive for my taste.

Excellent and convenient place to eat at this Hilton

By JimH196 |

Thoroughly enjoyed the dinner during our stay at this Hilton. We both had seafood dinners that were prepared and tasted great. The service was very good.

$3.33 per shrimp!

By Athena53 |

I’m used to very high prices at Hilton restaurants but this one hit a new level. I was there for lunch and stood by the “Wait to be seated” sign for quite awhile till I realized that no one was seating anyone. One employee was handling everything- the coffee shop, taking orders for the restaurant, and bringing them to the table. I considered just getting pre-made stuff to take back to my room but an ordinary sandwich was $12 and a bottle of Pellegrino was $4.25. My first choice, an appetizer with pita and hummus, wasn’t available, so I ordered a Market Salad with an “enhancement” of shrimp, which cost $11 extra. That got me THREE shrimp. Really? OK, the salad was good but not $30 good. The meal credit I get as a Diamond took some of the sting out of it but I was glad I'd skipped breakfast.

VERY nice bar and lounge area

By Ge0rge678 |

We visited other local restaurants and also went to the famed Seattle Waterfront for dinners out, so we didn't eat any full meals at Spencer's, but we had people staying at 3 different SEA-TAC hotels and Spencer's fast became the meet-up place for getting our evenings out started, as well as our go-to place for after-dinner wind-down time. The bar had a super selection of Washington craft beers - everything from traditional "west coast" IPA's to hearty stouts and porters - and the bartenders there were quite knowledgeable.

Disappointed twice!

By TP1908 |

The restaurant is located inside the Hilton Airport/Conference Center Hotel. I tried the salmon for dinner one night..it was overcooked and under seasoned. I also had a cocktail with my meal...it was subpar. I went back the next day for a social gathering my colleagues put together, this time I only had a cocktail...it was disgusting (very bitter). So I basically wasted $100 (85 for my salmon dinner and 15 for my social gathering drink) at this place. One of my colleagues had crab cakes that he described as being "not good" and he did not like his cocktail at the social gathering. The service was fine, so is the atmosphere . Instead of eating here try 13 Coins, it's open 24/7 and is only a 5 mim walk from the Hilton....the prices are cheaper and the food is better.

Good

By 2Ready2Retire |

Had the Crab Roll. It was VERY good but small. Along with the fruit cup it was just enough if you wanted to order a dessert. Service was very good and the restaurant was very clean. It was about 8:00 PM on a Tuesday night so it was not crowded at all. Convenient for the hotel with a very early flight out!

Crab Louie

By Starabella |

Decided to stay in for supper. Decided to go for it and have some crab. The salad was beautiful, delicious, and filling. Fresh bread was tasty! Loved the green goddess dressing!

Pricy but good

By gwiazinfo |

Excellent service. Very nice ambiance. Very good food but a bit pricy. Located off the expansive Hilton Lobby at SEATAC Adequate parking outside.

Excelent food, nice service.

By MAGomez |

Excelent food, nice service. Meat is great but halibut es the greatest!! Nice wine menu and the pork chops are its speciality.

Great happy hour at bar at Spencer's Great dinner also!

By kathyp686 |

Happy Hour is from 3-6pm daily. The wine and beer and well drinks and some appetizers are good and very reasonable. There was a nice selection of beers including micro brews. Bar staff are very nice. We have a couple appetizers...yummy! We have been to this bar many times while we stay in Seattle. The restaurant also has very good food. Check, out Hapoy Hour at the other Spencer's (Spokane has a great one also!)

Worse Staff on the Business

By j0semijares |

I Forgot My Sunglasses and personal item at the restaurant and asked to the staff for help and they complete ignored me just one person called security and they never show up after this I emailed to the GM used the hotel text chat without response. They doesn’t care about services or guest care.

Ate breakfast here every morning

By JDrisk |

The food here is great especially for a hotel restaurant. The bar is fun, too. They have a few specialty cocktails and the bartenders are willing to make whatever you request. They have a breakfast buffet every morning that has many choices. Jenn was my waitress and she was so friendly and so sweet!

Just stopped in for a very quick bite

By Nate C |

Did not have the full dinner but a very small plate called the Charcuterie. It is plate of cheese, bread and Ham and is outstanding. Really made me feel like I was back in Germany. The rest of the menu looks very good as well and I recommend you give them a try.

Relaxing Dinner

By jaybeeFL |

Stayed at the Hilton as had an early flight and we are Hiltonhonors gold members. Arrived for check in around 5:30 and walked down for dinner around 7 PM. Spencer's is one of the more attractive Hilton restaurants we've encountered here in the states. We were seated immediately and a very personable, attentive server arrived quickly. She was knowledgeable of the menu and quite responsive. Wine list is OK with a nice assortment of whites--ordered bottle of the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc which is crisp and refreshing and went well with our dinner selections. At $47 a little overpriced! Ordered a Spencer house salad which was large, fresh and nicely dressed. Had the Dungeness crabcakes and wife had the Dungeness salad both of which were delicious and packed with tasty crab meat. Bill incl. bottle of wine came to $119 for two--not overly expensive for what we had. Best part---since the hotel messed up our room assignment causing delays, they gave us two dinner coupons to offset the cost of our meals. That's focusing on "making it right".

Great steak restaurant

By wimcoltd93 |

Great steak restaurant with a good al a carte menu. Good bar. Close to SEATAC airport. Another location in Orlando. I prefer the Seattle location.

Great steaks while traveling

By G8523SUpeterp |

Good meal at a hotel, while on a business trip. What more can you ask for? Nothing! Good service too.

Nice surprise

By bgou |

While not a bargain, Spencer's surprised my party with good food and good service. Set in the Hilton, my expectations were somewhat low but Spencer's blew past them and established itself well against much more expensive establishments. All 3 in my party enjoyed their food and the service made you feel like you were a valued customer. I would not hesitate to go back if given the opportunity.

Good

By Smel N. Goot |

Good service, in hotel, seemingly popular. Good food not awesome. Spacious layout. Has bar area also, can unwind and or dine.

Nice Breakfast

By Robert |

I had the pleasure of staying the night at the Hilton Seattle Airport & Convention Center last night, allowing me to enjoy breakfast at Spencer's for Steak and Chops. I was seated after a short delay and provided a cup of coffee right away. The breakfast menu is a bit limited, but I guess that is to be expected from a steak house. What surprised me was that, at first glance, there didn't appear to be an entry for steak and eggs! At a steak house! When I questioned the waiter about that he told me that they offer a steak hash. I decided to try the steak hash. I was not disappointed. While it may not be the traditional steak and eggs, it was very tasty. The steak hash is served in a miniature iron skillet. There are bite-sized pieces of green and red bell peppers, onions, and boiled potato wedges. The steak is bite-sized chunks of beef short ribs (no bones) and the eggs are served over easy on top of the mixture. Overall the has was tasty, but I couldn't help but be disappointed that there was some fat on almost all the chunks of steak. I don't know one cut of steak from another, so maybe the fat is normal for this cut. The staff were all very professional and polite. I asked for a couple items and they were provided cheerfully and quickly. The dining area was neat, clean, and appealing to my eye. I would not hesitate to eat at Spencer's for Steak and Chops in the future.

Excellent Service

By Rabeeha G |

I was very pleased with the great customer service and the convenient location (I stayed at the adjacent Hilton).

Dinner while staying at the Hilton

By Capayrancher |

We were spending a couple nights in the Hilton SeaTac due to assigned work/conference. Spencer’s was quite convenient and since it was raining became a better choice. No reservations were needed for my wife and I and we were seated right away. The restaurant looks like and expensive steakhouse which it is. My wife ordered the salmon and I ordered the 8 ounce filet. These are a la carte and your sides are extra. (Filet alone was $44) We knew this from previous reviews so this is for you to consider. My wife said she makes the salmon better at home and I know I make the filet better. I’m not saying they were not good but those are dishes we are picky about. The service was excellent, atmosphere very good, and as I said before very convenient. Convenient, great atmosphere, good service but very pricey for what you get. Our bill for dinner which included some beer and one desert was $157. So beware.

Fantastic staff

By BMDtravels |

Ate here while staying for an event at the conference center. Staff was super gracious and accommodating. Arrived late the first night and restaurant was closed, but they served my family and I anyway. Next night we went back to enjoy the full service menu. I ordered the 6 oz fillet and asked for medium rare. It was a bit overcooked. I must have looked hesitant, because without asked the waitstaff immediately removed my steak and brought me a new 8 oz cut, cooked to perfection. The point is they pay close attention to their customers and deliver on a great experience.

Expensive

By Patricia T |

Prices were expensive, but we were staying overnight here and were too tired to leave the hotel. Food was okay, just not worth the money we paid.

Unusually good food for an airport hotel

By buenovt |

The food for both dinner and lunch was outstanding. Try the crab cakes (all crab) and the beet and goat cheese salad at dinner was the best i have ever had in my life. Waitstaff is attentive and pleasant.

Steaks and Chops at Spencers

By BethParas |

I like the food and their services. The waitresses are nice and accommodating. If you're having a hard time to pick, their recommending food that you might want to try. They are smiling and serving with joy.

Great food and service

By imssc1 |

After a long day we opted to eat at Spencer's. The dungeness crab cakes were great, along with the burgers. Service quick and friendly. The staff was caring and seasoned. Definitely would go back.

Tasty

By Stephanie C |

Good, if high priced, as expected of restaurant s in hotels. Had a crisp salad and the bacon noodles and cheese is yummy.

Used to be great!

By Peter H |

Very poor service. I’m not one who appreciates soup for desert, but though the waitress only had maybe three tables in an almost empty restaurant, she forgot to bring out my order in a normal fashion. The. 5oz filet was cooked properly but was the saltiest piece of meat I’ve eaten in years This was after 12 hours of flying and ,all I wanted was to eat and go sleep.

Very nice

By dwlit |

Very good service, small menu, but tasty food. Sides serve 2. Steak, entrees are pricey, but sandwiches are reasonable. Really good calamari, Mac and cheese and hamburger.

Breakfast

By Sandra W |

Expensive breakfast but then this is Seattle. The breakfast was delicious and hearty. Totally hit the mark. We also visited the bar in the evening and they have a nice bar with some great local beers.

We only came for the French Onion Soup

By rebswifty16 |

My husband and I are always on the hunt for the perfect French onion soup. Spencer’s was one of the best we’ve found!! The broth had a nice rich flavor. Onions were soft but not completely mush, cheese was a good amount (not too much and not too skimpy). Temperature was excellent too. Hot enough to require you to blow on your spoon but didn’t scald your mouth when you couldn’t resist any longer and had to take that first bite. Can’t speak for anything else on the menu, but if you want good French Onion Soup, this is your place.

Good place for a steak

By Scott H |

Waiting to leave Washington next day, I wanted some good food. I have eaten here before so off I went. The valet was a tad slow but hey... the plan e didn't leave for 10 hours.... I ordered the bone in ribeye medium rare and seared.... perfect. I had the Caesar with lots of anchovies... excellent and a baked potato. Service was good. Price wise is slightly high but the restaurant is in the Hilton and you pay for the real estate. The bottom line the ribeye was done to order and tasted damn good

Nice place for breakfast!

By Pumpkindork |

My family and I had breakfast before heading out to explore downtown Seattle. Everything we had was very good and the staff was very friendly. I had the crab eggs Benedict, which was very good and had a good amount of crab! The portions were a little small, especially the side of potatoes that came with it. My wife had the pineapple upside down pancakes, which she enjoyed. And my son had the buffet, kids 12 and under are only 10.00! The buffet had a lot of "continental breakfast " type Items, but was decent overall.

Decent airport hotel restaurant

By davidjackie1957 |

Just a quick meal early evening after a very long day travelling. Sat in the bar but the whole a la carte menu available to us. I had crab cakes, wife onion soup. Service was very good. Food excellent and served piping hot. Decent varied choice on menu which looked a bit on the pricey side overall. Would return as it's very convenient when you're staying out at the airport.

Can't wait to come back

By RestlessFeet |

I ate at Spencer's because it is located in the hotel in which I am staying, but I'd recommend it even for those not at the Hilton. The food was exceptional, the best steak I have had in forever, flavorful and perfectly prepared. The creme brûlée was perfect. Even the wedge salad was notable. Service was exceptional. When I am back at SeaTac in three weeks I will definitely dine here again-with pleasure.

Great experience.

By Sandie P |

The food was perfect ! Crab cakes to start , the best I’ve had . Fillet for my main and it was cooked perfectly. Fabulous fries and veg . Our server David was great and had a terrific sense of humour, the whole experience was so enjoyable.

Disappointed

By Bernadette P |

After checking into the Hilton, I went to dinner at the attached restaurant, Spencer's. I ordered a lemon drop martini which was lukewarm and tasteless. The house cabernet was good. I chose the special which was bison steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus, with a lobster tail which I declined. The only hot food on the plate was the asparagus. The steak was dry as well as the mashed potatoes. Disappointed in the meal. Service and atmosphere were nice.

Close to airport

By BoiseNorthender |

This restaurant is in the Hilton hotel at the airport. Not only close to SeaTac airport but block from lite-rail stop that also serves airport. Limited menu as a small hotel restaurant but food well prepared and service friendly. Wines, beers and cocktails available. Breakfast buffet or order off menu. Dinner entries limited and somewhat pricey.

Over priced food

By Vickie H |

Food was bland priced too expensively we ordered ahi off appetizers just okay we had beef tips potato salad and greens, wow it was not tasty and a portion size for a child. Service was slow, would not eat there again.

Nice steak place

By -TRTE- |

Nice steak for dinner. A bit pricy place but reasonable option if you are staying overnight nearby the Seattle airPort.

Spendy but Nice

By AzBkey |

We had the breakfast buffet a couple of mornings and cocktails and hors d'oeuvres a couple of nights. Service was impeccable and food was great (except the scrambled eggs on the buffet which tasted like powder and were cold).

Staying at the hotel

By Cheryl D |

Just had a great hamburger, I would order again. However, I just received the worst service ever for a $21 hamburger. I would not eat here again based on our service. Others might have better service.

Spencer's for decent food at insane prices

By ThinkerDoer |

I had a 6-ounce halibut with no sides for $45, yes $45, plus tax. I would have gone elsewhere but I was staying at the Hilton where it was housed and was tired, didn't want to go out. The service was almost nonexistent. It got off to a promising start with a friendly waitress, and then she literally disappeared. I got my order, and had to request my bill, from someone else while she gabbed happily with the hostess. I'm mad at myself for leaving a good tip. Won't eat here ever again.

Outstanding Food And Service!

By Jimm8117 |

This restaurant EXCEEDS Hilton standards. We dined here three times. The wait staff was very professional with equally great service. For breakfast this morning I had their Pineapple Upside Down pancakes. If you are a pancake lover this is a must! My wife had a delicious bowl of oatmeal topped with blueberries. If you are staying here there is no need to go anywhere else to dine. We hope to be back!

Conference Weekend

By Tammie C |

The food was nothing to rave about and WAY over priced. What you are paying for is the convenience of not leaving your hotel. Also, be aware that with your entree there are NO side dishes included! These are ordered separately, for an additional cost of course.

More than satisfy your hunger

By 2007olive |

The menu was well appointed with many fine choices for dinner and breakfast. We didn't really want to leave the hotel, so this was most pleasurable. Servers were helpful and friendly.

A very good breakfast buffet

By Hans Meyer |

It was our last morning of our Pacific Northwest tour and we needed a good breakfast to start our journey home. The breakfast buffet here at Spencer's (in our hotel) was delicious, with many options available. If you're hungry for breakfast, you can't go wrong here.

Pleasant Dining Adventure at a Hotel Resturant

By formerhusker71 |

As part of our cruise package, we were booked the night at the Hilton. Not wanting to eat at another okay+/- chain restaurant at the Southcenter Mall, we elected to eat at the hotel. It was an excellent choice. The service, selection and food was a five star experience. Had a crab roll. Great start to our trip. No need to go any where else if you are staying at the Hilton.

Great food, good wine, great service

By CarryOnTravl |

Excellent meals at Spencer’s and friendly, knowledgeable wait staff. We usually eat in the large bar area, and haven’t been disappointed. Prices are generally high, but it’s in an airport hotel, so somewhat expected. This visit we had the roasted chicken with carrots and rice special. It was divine! The chicken tender, and juicy. It was so large, neither of us could finish it. This was probably the best meal we’ve ever gotten at Spencer’s. I had a spicy Bloody Mary, which was really tasty. The right level of spice for me. The green beans in it were weird, maybe it’s a Seattle thing. I didn’t like the Ball glass jar it was in. At these prices, in a nice restaurant, I don’t want to be thinking I’m at Bob Evans or some state fair. Put the drinks in decent glasses, not canning jars. Would definitely recommend Spencer’s if you’re staying at the Hilton.

Great "Tenderloin Tips" Dish and Noodles w/ Gouda Cheese

By DeanJonesTrader |

Great "Tenderloin Tips" Dish and Noodles w/ Gouda Cheese; and glass of H3 Cabernet for dinner on first night was great. Recommended by very friendly waiter, John ... Did I say that "Tenderloin Tips" dish was real good?! :)

Very nice and just outside the airport

By Max H |

Located in the Hilton just across the road from Seattle airport. Excellent selection of meats. Had lunch adjacent to the lobby bar. Good service. Pricey!

Judge a Book by its Cover

By David M |

Thanks to Stacey at the front desk for her recommendation. Spencer's in the SEA-TAC Hilton looks quite nice and IS quite nice. A tremendous selection of wines and a higher end menu. If you're looking for a more mid-range meal you can get one, but don't expect "cheap eats." Being here on business, it was a nice place to have a drink and a good meal without leaving the hotel.

Convenient, good, pricey

By acjo22 |

After a long day of flying, checked into my room and hit Spencer's for a quick bite before heading for bed. Was alone, so sat at the bar. Nothing special atmosphere, but clean and comfortable. Service was prompt and low-key friendly. Had steak and fries ordered from the bar menu. Just the right amount of food, cooked exactly to my preference, and delicious. Meal, wine, desert, and tip about $100. A bit pricey, but didn't feel gouged. If I ever stay at this hotel again, I'd eat there again.

Good food and good service, pricey

By HighPriestessSusan |

We started out at the bar while we waited for our reservation time. The bartender was lovely and mixed a great drink. The restaurant had great service, but I would rate the food as pricey for what it was. Would choose to stay at the Hilton connected to Spencer’s next time I’m flying out of SeaTac.

SHOCKING!!!

By MissMontana7 |

The absolute audacity... This place is in the lobby of the Seatac Hilton and now I know why it was a ghost town. I drove hours to take my kids to the airport for their euro trip and stopped here for what should have been a lovely upscale lunch. 1st: WTF? They had a Starbucks counter but it was CLOSED MID-DAY ON A SATURDAY! Disappointed, I still ordered lunch (a steak melt sandwich with herb fries) and a bloody mary - the only consolation for being cheated of Seattle's most famous beverage. People, the sandwich was $21+ and the drink was $12+ which is an outrage...tantamount to armed robbery!Even IF the food were above average (rather than below) these prices are inexcusable. The mini hoagie type roll the sandwich was on failed to hide the fact that there was so little actual meat on it that I'd be better off buying a Jenny Craig dietetic mini meal. The main ingriedient was a big wad of cheese slopped in the center of the roll. What little meat there was, had a long stringy majority that was solid gristle (unmistakable to even an amateur cook)! The carmelized onions were very tasty and were the only saving grace in my $42+ lunch but they were stingy as hell with them. There couldn't have been seven cents worth of parmesan and herbs on the entire order of parmesan herb fries! The fries were starting to congeal (tepid) by the time my plate was delivered to the table and I was one of only two customers in the entire restaurant. Plus, they were accompanied not by a nice aioli or some such, but a walmart-quality ketchup. The bartender, who waited on me, was a sweet helpful young lady. No complaints. This is a management issue not one of waitstaff. Folks, a brief walk down the block to the 13 Coins Restaurant would get you a far better meal at a lot less ridiculous a price. In fact, the reality here is that a subway sandwich shop would have been far superior. Or you could take a room there at the Hilton and flush $42 bucks down the toilet for sport...

Great Rbeye and Clam Chowder!

By CedarFIT |

We stayed overnight at the Hilton Conference Center on a layover and had a wonderful dinner after checking in! The ribeye was a little overstated but overall well seasoned and the side of bacon bristle sprouts & smashed potatoes were well prepared and good quality as well. It was also the second best clam chowder we have had in the whole Seattle area (behind The Boat Shed in Bremerton) to be the best it would need more clams and bacon but overall well seasoned we're very impressed for a hotel restaurant. The other reviewers complaining about pricing have clearly not eaten in the Seattle Metro for dinner recently (although the breakfast menu does seem over priced so we will be eating at the airport I stress) The staff was incredibly attentive & very friendly from hostess to server. I will definitely be back to visit when back in Seattle again!

Good food anytime of day.

By Dewayne V |

After arriving at the hotel we decided to get a late lunch at Spencer's. I ordered a cup of the clam chowder and it was great. My wife and I both ordered the fish and chips. The fish portion was huge. Service was very good. Will eat breakfast at Spencer's in AM.

Expensive hotel food

By Joe P |

I usually do not eat at hotel restaurants when I travel unless there is an exception. Spencer's may have ok food, but since you are sort of a "captive audience", the pricing is WAY high for what you get. I can't recommend this place because of the poor value it represents.

Night before flight out

By REvans62711 |

Probably had one of the best salmon BLT's I have ever had. Ate at bar and gentleman gave outstanding service. Would do again and recommend.

Quick dinner at hotel

By travelgalAvon |

Staying at Hilton and ate here for convenience, Excellent service and burgers were done perfectly. Recommend french onion soup.

dissapointing experience!

See mu complete review via @iflymini. I provided good info on the food and quality; or lack thereof!!

Good restaurant, especially for a hotel restaurant

By SEANorthwest |

Everything I tried here was very good: the onion soup, the ceasar salad, the salmon entree, and their morning ancient grains oatmeal is excellent. The bar is a nice space, easy to visit with people there. I'd go to this restaurant just for a nice dinner, even if I wasn't staying there.

Great escape

By lford56 |

Seated early, warmly welcomed. Server very friendly and keen to interpret readiness. Started with Wedge salad and while all the normal features a nice block of Bleu cheese topped it. Entrees of shrimp scampi, 16 ounce ribeye, and 14 oz bone in pork chop all cooked to perfection. Have dined here and in NYC before and always impresses!

Way Overpriced

By AlaskansNeedtotravel |

Okay so I have ate at Sullivan's and Mortons which may be somewhat comparable to this. At both places when you order a steak you only get a steak-nothing else. So the side dishes are an extra fee. That being said the side dishes are big enough for two people to share, not the case here. I kept waiting for some kind of delicious bread to be brought to the table prior to the entree being served. Mortons has the amazing onion bread and Sullivan's serves hot bread. Nope nothing. The steak came on a plate-no garnish just a steak on a plate with one piece of the thinnest asparagus I have ever seen. The waiter while friendly seemed to have some sort of underlying anger issue but was efficient and basically a good server. I just got the feeling here "we are not generous, we charge TOP dollar but we aren't going to even provide a piece of bread or a roll with your meal." Food was good, atmosphere nice-won't eat here again though.

In Hotel Restaurant - Yes!

By MASIAI |

You do not have to worry about this restaurant. Great service, food, comfortable seating and wonderful hotel atmosphere. Had breakfast and an outstanding dinner here and would do so agian.

Costly but good

By tammbrad |

A la carte menu. Steaks range for $30-$50. Sides are $8. 6 oz filet was $32. It was cooked to my liking and was very tender to be well done. Wait staff was very quick and friendly. We were staying in the hotel so we decided to have dinner at this restaurant located in lobby for convenience. A little costly but worth not getting out in the cold or traffic. I highly recommend dessert...molten lava cake with ice cream and strawberries!! Yummy and enough to share.

Excellent Service and Steaks

By Ken L |

This is our second time at Spencer’s. We were here a couple years ago. We actually had the same waitress, Karen D. The service was impeccable, Karen has to be one of the best servers I have ever had. Her recommendation on wine and sides was perfect. My wife and I had fillets with Brussels sprouts and Yukon mashed. The steak was perfectly cooked and as tender as could be. The sides were delish and the peppercorn Diane sauce was amazing. We even had the cream brûlée which was outstanding also. This is the perfect start to a much needed vacation.

Drinks and Appetizers at the bar

By gnw69 |

We were just staying in the hotel for an evening before we head out early in the morning. We had the hot wings, the cheese and fruit tray, wine and beer. Service was good, the fruit and cheese tray was delicious, the little crackers were awesome. The wine good, beer good. The absolute only complaint I could possibly come up with was it was kind chilly. Likely due to the fact that it was late November.

Good salmon - way, Way, WAY overpriced and underwhelming

By Grantthetraveler |

I ate at this restaurant because I arrived late to the hotel and needed to eat a quick dinner before turning in. I had the salmon with asparagus and roasted potatoes. The salmon was very good but frankly, it normally is in this area. The asparagus was good and the potatoes were okay. The service was good and the environment was meh... What makes this review "average" is this: The restaurant is IN the hotel and you just can not escape the hotel ambience. Hotel ambience does not equal fine dining anywhere in any way at any time. There is nothing wrong with a restaurant IN the hotel, but you can't peddle fine dining food in that atmosphere. When I pay $46 for my meal and tip (I drank water), it needs to be a lot better than this. I would NOT recommend this restaurant - too big of an investment for the "meh..." feeling you are going to get afterwards.

Nice Place

By Rolf H |

Maybe the food is not in rop glass, bit the people and the service os. Fantastic place for a dink and relax. A special thanks to Julie for always smiling and performing such a good service

Lunch after our cruise

By 52CheranH |

We stayed at the Hilton and had plans of going out for lunch but it was pouring rain so decided to eat at Spencers bar and grill in the lobby. Food was excellent, large portions and service was very good with only one person performing all the duties of the bar and tables. Not very crowded and very laid back and quiet atmosphere.

Disappointed for the price

By Lori |

Had two orders of muscles for the table, each with a small slice of bread. Don’t they know it’s all about sopping up the broth? Had to order more bread for $9. The Clam chowder was scorched and the salad was over dressed and vinegary. The wine list was horrible with a 300% markup. Very expensive meal.

Overpriced - not a foodie option

By Gary S |

While part of the Hilton Hotel (and as I was staying there and too lazy to travel into town), I decided to have dinner. Opening the menu, one is faced with some good choices but very pricy - so I was expecting high things! Was I wrong. I ordered a glass of wine which appeared fast. - good point. I ordered a Caesar salad as a starter and a hamburger, for the entree. The hamburger I requested medium rare without cheese. The Caesar salad was 4 leaves (full in all their glory) with a store bought dressing splashed over it. Highly bland and one could expect this quality from a fast food restaurant not an expensive one. The hamburger came, no cheese but with no bacon and medium (not medium rare). After about 20 min the waitress came over, saw that I had taken maybe 2 bites and asked me how was my meal - I told her below average. Her response was "great, pleased you are enjoying it. " she then walked off. I love it when the serving staff don't listen to what you say! I have to say that the fries were good (albeit I am sure that the oil was not fresh)! The cost of this was $44 - highly on the extreme side for a very low quality meal. Some other peeves; 1. I had to ask for clean cutlery and a meat knife for my burger. 2. I was not offered a bread basket (all other patrons had one on the table). 3. The serviette (napkin) was stained.

Very good, a little pricey

By Travis1970 |

I had a burger and even though it was probably the most expensive burger I have ever had, it was also the best tasting burger I have eaten..... The beef was very lean, well prepared and the toppings of cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato were perfect. I would definitely go back and eat there again! The wait staff was fantastic, and Rada was a lot of fun and took great care of us while we were there.

Overnight at the Hilton

By cararro |

We really had little choice of where to eat while staying overnight at the SEATAC Hilton. Spencer’s is a mix of casual sports bar, friendly but attentive service, and upscale steakhouse. The combo doesn’t work so well. The food was okay, rather limited options and - no other way to say - just too pricey. Would not go out of my way for Spencer’s but appreciated being able to stay in.

Quality fare at the airport Hilton

By MontanaMike2013 |

My wife and i have enjoyed a couple dinners at Spencers while staying at the Hilton before our flights out of SEATAC. The service has always been outstanding and the food is well prepared. Of special note are the crab cakes (they provide three sizable cakes as an appetizer, more than enough to share). Yes, as a hotel eatery they are a little pricey, but the quality of the food has been consistently excellent.

Expensive

By patrickhQ5527SR |

We stayed at the attached Hilton. While the food and service was good it was extremely expensive. They take full advantage of the fact there is nothing else in the area

The prices are pretty steep

By Mats J |

The prices are pretty steep for the kind of food you get. My fries would have needed a bit more love while the steak was ok but not good. This food is countered a bit by the nice and attentive staff although they had the bad manners of discussing other customers in hearing range.

Incredible Meal!

By Sheryl M |

We travel a lot and love great food. We stayed at this Hilton at the beginning and end of a trip to the PNW since it was so close to the airport and rental car facilities (another big plus). We weren’t prepared for the food and service to be over the top. It truly was. We ate both dinner and then breakfast at this restaurant. I had the salmon while my husband had the filet. The next morning we had the omelets and he had the breakfast buffet. All were delicious. The service was also great! Highly recommend and we’d go back in a heartbeat.

Dinner

By MichiganDad2 |

I was at the hotel stopped in. Food well prepared, for a restaurant nearly empty service seemed slow. Pricing seemed a bit high but not outrageous

Food is delicious

By Lisa L |

I was hesitant to order a steak here because of the reviews. Yes, it is pricey, but the food was delicious. Service was great!! The booze is super pricey. I ordered one glass of wine to-go to my room and it was $22.00!!! Supposedly 9 ounces but it looked about 6 to me. So just be wary if you are drinking here. Typical for hotels though. The food was surprisingly excellent! Nice servers. Beyond hotel expectations all the way around.

Beautiful dining room and bar

By Dianne W |

The restaurant was full so we ate in the bar and had good service with the same menu. The food was very good and the place was busy with travelers winding down with a cold drink.

Overpriced with mediocre food

By Freq_traveler_MA |

Ate in the bar area, food selection was so-so, and food quality was mediocre. Very expensive and not well prepared.

Great food

By KarinV123 |

ave had breakfast and dinner here a couple time this year and it has always been great food and great service.

Great Steak!

By Ken L |

The service was terrific! Everything was wonderful from the perfectly Cooked asparagus to a very tasty fillet. Even the smashed Yukon golds were good. Was it the best steak ever, probably not but it was very tender and had great flavor.

Expensive mediocre food

By Ben K |

I stayed at the hotel and came down for happy hour. The food here is ok, but it's absolutely nothing special. And it's extremely expensive for regular food. The beer and wine selection is good but the bartenders are slow and poor communicators. Happy hour makes some food affordable, but it's mostly bland and disappointing. My calamari was soggy and served in random strips. It was also completely flavorless - it had no flavor indication that it was ever in the ocean. The Mac and Cheese was good, but pretty bland. I wouldn't return here if I had other options available.

Super friendly and Tastefull for Dinner, lame in the morning

By hansi67 |

Perfect Location after a long trip to have a tastefull Dinner in the Evening. Verry friendly and helpfull staff, it was a pleasure to feel realy welcome and they do anything for your needs. Different in the morning unfortunately. Didn't feeled realy welcome, that is especially in the morning so important to have a great start into your day. Some of the Breakfast staff in the morning was even more tired then i was unfortunately.

Very Good

By Jim S |

Yes, it's expensive. You should know that going in because the menu is posted outside. Enough of that ... We had steaks, split the baked potato and wedge salad. $165 with two glasses of wine. Steaks were prepared perfectly. Wedge is a good size to split. What really impressed me was the quality of the steak. We each had the 8 oz filet. Personally, I think the 6 oz may be harder to cook. Just too small. Anyway, the 8 oz was a perfect medium to medium rare. The bernaise was a nice add and available on request. Karen was our server and did an excellent job. Always there but not too intrusive. Just excellent. Thanks Karen and Hilton for a really good meal after a long day of traveling.

Nice evening meal!

By bkfindlay |

Convenient, nice atmosphere, well prepared meal. Stopped at bar area first and enjoyed a well prepared martini and some snacks. Nice bar area adjacent to dining room. Moved to nicely decorated dining area with courtyard view for our meal. Friendly, attentive, helpful wait staff. Filets were good quality and prepared to our request. Decent French onion soup too. A bit pricey but within reason considering quality and proximity to airport. I'd do it again without question.

Dinner

By Kerry F |

This was a great surprise. Normally, the hotel restaurant isn't anything to write home about but this meal was delicious. The whipped potatoes were so creamy and the beet and burrata salad was amazing. I had the rib eye special which came with scallops, asparagus and those potatoes. I would order it again. The atmosphere was nice, quiet and a great place for any occasion. Large dining area and the bar had a great happy hour.

Great steak and sides

By haduty |

The restaurant is very good . . . a bit expensive but really the only option in the area. Worth the price and the sides are huge portions too!

Disappointing for an Upscale Steak House

By Wyfoodie |

We started out with the lobster bisque and it was horrible. Too salty and fishy-- sent it back and the chef was working on fixing it. The ribeye steak was expensive, tough and overcooked. So disappointed because we had high expectations for our last meal in Seattle. The fries were good. We took the steak home to our dog. So sad!

Nice meal with collegues

By BJStella |

It's a hotel restaurant, so it is what it is. Could probably use a cosmetic facelift, but the food was on par. Highly suggest the crab cakes - 90% crab, minimal 'cake.' We all opted for sandwiches - they were fine but not totally memorable. The crab roll was tasty though, and the onion rings were a big hit with our table! Dessert isn't worth the calories. I don't think it was made onsite and it wasn't that spectacular. Next time, I'd go for a nightcap instead.

Awesome Steaks and Strawberry Shortcake!

By BBECKER258 |

I really like Spencer's. I like the Chihuly glass in the lobby. The steaks are marvelous and the hollandaise is outstanding. (Drinks in the bar not bad, either!) I stayed there last spring for an accounting class. My room was off the pool and was a great spot for someone in a wheelchair. The bathrooms off the lobby work out just fine for a w'c. The hotel was built when I lived in the area and it was a fav for desert. The shortcake is tremendous!

Very Good

By Brent M |

I wasn't going to write this review but my wife was just on phone telling friend how good this place was and it struck me how good it really was for an hotel restaurant. I had a steak and it was spectacular the accompanying dishes were very good as well , no need to leave the hotel for a good meal when your here.

Overpriced

By 533amandaj |

Its all the same really, nothing special, a bit blah to be honest. Go down for a burger and pay overpriced amounts of money! Never had a friendly server and never had any complimentary anything considering how many times I have been here.

Yummy! The steaks are the best

By gmeredith |

The steaks are amazing. I love aged steaks. I enjoyed the ribeye and split it with a friend. There was enough to make us both phenomenally happy. The seafood is fresh. The veggies and sides are more than tasty. The service is great.

Very Good Hotel Restaurant at SEATAC.

By DenverJack2 |

After a long day of travel it was great to find a good restaurant without leaving our hotel. Yes it was pricey but good portions that were good for sharing. Excellent crab cakes and try the Spencer's salad.

Excellent all round

By Kaden_ID |

Great meal in an otherwise abysmal day- we were stuck in Seattle when our flight to Hawaii was cancelled. Chose to stay at the Hilton airport and were very happy to see it was the one with Spender's. We had been in a similar situation about 10 years ago, and had dinner here then and loved it. I was glad to see it was similarly excellent this time. We were promptly seated and service the whole time was great! Very friendly and professional. When I didn't like the taste of the server's recommendation for a drink choice (fair to say they didn't have the fresh mint, and that drink needed it) she not only didn't charge me for it, but gave me my second choice free! The food was all great. I had crab cakes, and my partner had the petite filet. We ordered two of the accompaniment vegetables, andcould have just done with one- the portions feed 2-4 as a side. Entrees are a bit pricey, but the quality is excellent.

Good BUT....

By Lori O |

The food was good, service was good but the prices was diffinately a hotel restaurant price set. Ouch!!

Excellent

By flyerforfood |

Was staying at the Hilton and did not want to go out so my associate and I decided to try Spensers. Great food and service. We both had steak. I had a rib-eye and he had a filet. Both where delicious and cooked to perfection. The baked potatoes where great as well as asparagus. I will definatly eat here again.

Pleasant dining on 3 occasions within 24 hours!

By Annie |

As we were part of the Delta problem and checked in decided to come down to the bar for a drink - pleasant service and good wine and we had a small snack. The bar and restaurant were very busy that night so service was a little slow but not really their fault. The following morning we ventured down for breakfast which was the buffet as we had some down late decided brunch might be in order - good selection to choose from and good way to start the day off. Finally after checking out of the hotel we decided to stay for dinner before going off to the airport for our night flight. We had a lovely waitress named Sarah, who couldn't have done enough for us. Good menu and food - tried the same bottle of wine which was excellent.

Poor value

By Global621194 |

We were stuck in Seattle owing to inclement weather and stayed at the Airport Hilton. Since we were already here we ate at Spencer's. The service was first rate. We were seated promptly and the staff was solicitous. The dining area was freezing cold. We took turns warming our hands over the candle on the table. I had ordered fish and chips. The fish was tasteless and the breading was thick and difficult to cut through. It required a sharp knife to get through it but I only had the regular table knife. My wife had a Ceasar salad and a baked potato. Both were good. At $20 for the fish and chips I expected better than what was delivered.

Good meal

By Ted P |

Our meal was fine and the fish and chips outstanding. Best of all, it's right where you stay giving extra time to do other things. Fantastic view of Mt Rainer from the balcony

Delicious Food, Rich Atmosphere, Extravagant Prices

By GDL919 |

We took a large party to dinner, and enjoyed a delicious meal. The service was good, and the atmosphere somewhat noisy, but otherwise very attractive. The large open room, with large windows and hard floors prevents the restaurant from being, in any way, intimate. The Chef's Choice included a tiny steak - probably not more than 1-2 ounces, and a reasonable portion of halibut. The steak was overcooked, but the halibut was perfect and flaky. The side vegetables were similarly delicious, but the portions extremely small. Presentation was superb. We found the prices to be extraordinarily high under the circumstances; so much so that we will probably not return. While the prices were comparable to other similar steakhouses, neither the food, service nor atmosphere were at the level of those other high-priced restaurants. All in all, we recommend that you either save your money, or spend it on a truly first class establishment. This one simply charges far too much for too little.

Decent food terrible service

Waited over 45 min just to order. Hostess was very rude when we told her that we had been waiting a long time to order. Overall took us over 2.5 hrs just to have dinner. It was not a good experience. If the service was better I would give it a better rating as the food was ok but pricey for such a bad experience.

During the last evening of our family vacation, from Colorado to Seattle, we stayed at the Sea-Tac Hilton for the second year in a row. Now....in all transparency, this reviewer, is 2+ years removed from a lengthy culinary career that spanned 30+ years including multiple Executive Chef positions in both independent restaurants & hotels alike...thus I have an admiration for the folks continuing to work in this demanding industry especially in today's day & age. Hotel restaurant food is never cheap and especially when it includes a Steak House component. The food exceeded our expectations but more so the service that the staff provided (especially our server Karen) was exceptional. Like many establishments today they were understaffed and we arrived just after a busy period thus they were a little fatigued but it didn't affect our experience a bit. The meal was coursed correctly, the attention to the details (flatware placement/removal, replenishing of water, clearing of plates) was spot on and our server was EXCELLENT. Whether you are planning a business trip to Seattle or just in the area I highly recommend this establishment. For those of us who still have a reverence for hotel restaurant which are not chic, almost serve yourself micro hotel "social areas"..... this is a throwback.

AVOID. Worst service I’ve had in years!!!

We stayed at the Hilton and felt hostage to eat here due to our arrival time. The bar area was packed so we sat at a table in the dining section next to the bar area. We were told the area was closed and that a small table we had not seen by the bar was open. We obliged only to be completely ignored for a solid 25 minutes no exaggeration. Meanwhile we see other people actually sit at the same table we were asked to move from and get food while we were waiting to even be acknowledged. The issue was 100% due to being understaffed. Our table was supposed to be served by the bartender who had no capacity to serve a table. Not just ours but all the tables in the area. Several others had to go up and demand service after also waiting to even be acknowledged. I’m very patient as a former server but this was not acceptable. It already soured our opinion of the grossly outdated and tired hotel. We were finally taken care of after I approached the original server who made us move.

Surprisingly good

I’m surprised at how good the food was considering it’s a hotel restaurant. Medium rare filet mignonette cooked perfectly and excellent wine list. Giving this four stars because it’s a bit pricey.
