Visited Spice Finch with my son, daughter-in-law and 17 and 20 year old grandsons - all foodies. We all loved our experience. Mice atmosphere, different menu and great service. Our waiter, Rich, was wonderful. He explained all of the different dishes, recommending which dishes we should order, explaining how everything was served and making recommendations for us. All of the wait staff was courteous and efficient. The chef is great - the dishes did not disappoint, and my family left saying that this is their favorite restaurant.

Stopped in here for drinks. Hostess was a little aloof for some reason. Maybe just because we wanted drinks. Not sure. Drinks were strong and service was quick. I ended up getting hummus which was delicious. Would definitely try a meal here. Nice restaurant.

The food, drinks, and service are all great. And the ambiance is also wonderful. All around this makes for a fantastic evening. The cauliflower dish was amazing! Who knew cauliflower could be so delicious.

I was lucky enough to be invited to an event here. All the food that was served at the event was fresh and very tasty. The staff is very welcoming.

We had dinner here on Saturday and it was great. The food and the service went beyond our expectations.

Overall, the food is ok. Service was warm and largely attentive. We ordered a number of dishes. The fattoush was very tasty. The lamb sausage kebob was also a strong dish. Also, the shabazi fries are really just fries with the shabazi seasoning. Tasty but hardly a culinary creation. We also had the lamb shank. I think it had been cooked all day because the meat was very tender but had little taste. The shrimp kebobs were marginal. For dessert we had the date truffles. They were tasty and a nice strong finish. For drinks, the cocktail (bourbon cocktail) was a little weak, but the tempranillo was a nice surprise. As I mentioned, service was good and even let me taste a glass of wine before getting a whole glass which was a nice touch. Another note on service, and this is not a criticism. We told the server to send out the food as soon as it was ready. However, to our surprise, it all came out REALLY fast…like within 10 minutes. I wondered if everything was ready and just heated up?? So we had a lot of food on the table really fast! Just something to think about. We ordered two starters, two keobs, two main dishes and dessert. We drank three glasses of wine and a cocktail. The total price with tax and 20% tip was $248. We definitely left full, with a couple of nice dishes we enjoyed, but some were a bit mehh (the shrimp kebobs and lamb shank). I don’t imagine most couples would eat this much so your bill would likely be less. I don’t think we will return, not because it was terribly bad, but it just doesn’t invite another visit. However, if you are in the neighborhood, you may want to try it.

We attended a function at Spice Finch in a semi-private room, which improved the experience by reducing the noise level. The staff was very accommodating to our party. We sampled probably 80% of the menu and found everything to be interesting, well-seasoned, and delicious. Our favorites were the Broccoli Tabouleh, the Little Neck Clams, and the Baked Cheese.

One of the best meals I have had lately. If you are tired of the same old fare, head over to Spice Finch and enjoy the dry rub chicken, the lamb shank, the carrot humus, the spiced nuts the yogurt combo, etc. Desserts also have the tastes of well melded spices so that one spice does not overpower the dish. We had the sundae and the chocolate cake. Yummy experience all four diners agreed. Will be back.

This is a nice restaurant that offers its own interpretation of Mediterrean food. Nothing too wild, but each dish was different in modest ways. Normally, that would be welcome. My problem is that while the food was well made and nicely presented, much of it just didn't appeal to me. It was quite edible, and I ate it. But I rather doubt that I would come back. Your mileage may vary of course, and I awarded four stars because that was the level of the food. Service was fine, although the place can be noisy. Don't be dissuaded by my comments as Spice Finch may appeal to your taste more than it did to mine.

I have been here a few times, first for brunch with a friend and second, most recently, a patron of the bar during a work conference. My work group was staying at the hotel attached to the restaurant and most people didn't want to venture far from the hotel so we ended up at the bar. The cocktails were delicious, the bartenders were attentive and overall, we had a great experience. We were there during the weekdays, so the bar shut down at 11pm.

After returning to our hotel from our day of sightseeing, we were looking for a convenient restaurant to dine, relax and unwind that was nearby. Little did we know that this “Low-Keyed Gem” was attached to our hotel. The staff was pleasant and the menu had a Mediterranean flair. The whole Red Snapper dish was delicious. What a lovely way to end the day. Very Satisfied, Lancaster & Lexington

Nice variety of small plates from around the Mediterranean. Great flavor/spice and the best bread. Friendly efficient service.

We popped in on a lark. So glad we did! What a wonderful experience. We thought we would just grab a drink but the aromas coming from the kitchen were heavenly. I had the melted cheese. They suggested a toasted flatbread to go with it. What a marvelous combination. .. the herbs, the warmth, the tomatoes. My husband had the olives. The wine list by the glass was superb. Looking forward to going back for a full meal someday; the food was as good as what we enjoyed when we were in Greece.

Fantastic dinner. Every plate was delicious. Lamb ribs out of this world. Roasted cauliflower incredible. We will be back soon. wrong.

I was so pleasantly surprised only because no one I knew had yet been to Spice Finch. My cousin made reservations and I joined for dinner. Let me tell you...the food was packed with flavor and layers of flavor. The establishment clean ( we dined al fresco) and the service was friendly and well paced. We order quite a bit of the menu, which isn’t overly extensive but curated in a way that no matter what you order, you will have a great meal of color and flavor!

So glad to see that Chef Jennifer Carroll finally has her own restaurant and that it’s in her hometown. The set up of the room is very open and modern, with tables spread around the large bar area as well as some tables in the back. I was glad we were in the back where it was a little quieter. The menu is unusual as were the spices used in most of the dishes. The majority of the plates we shared were amazing, with tastes we have not experienced before. The Baked Cheese was ricotta and mozzarella sprinkled with shredded phyllo. We ordered Flatbread to go with this dish. I’m not a yogurt enthusiast but the Garlic Yogurt with crudité and berbere flatbread crisps was ridiculously delicious as was the Roasted Cauliflower with coriander cashew butter, pickled onion and herb oil. The head-on Peri-Perie Shrimp with garlic, harissa and preserved lemon, was also very different as well as delicious. The Octopus Escabeche with zucchini, corn and herb oil was, although very good, not one of my favorites. We should have stopped there but had ordered the (whole) Dry Rubbed Chicken with muhumara, potato and zucchini. After only a few bites, we were full but enjoyed the leftovers for dinner the following night. It was very good but not a particular favorite. So with 4 drinks the bill, before tip, came to around $142. (Without the chicken it would have only been $109.) In either case, it was well worth the price. We are looking forward to another visit.

Excellent food and service! We really enjoyed Spice Finch - ordered a few small plates, and a couple entrees, and we were all very satisfied.

We had a bunch of small dishes, the hummus with chips, cauliflower, french fries, halloumi, salad, crisps, and Labne pancakes with essence of Orange Blossom chicken with a rub and a sauce that was out of this world

The food was surprisingly good for a hotel restaurant. The dishes were unique & small plates provided more than some restaurant dinners. Try the amazing duck wings & Halloumi salad along with the Moroccan Hard Mint Tea!

Absolutely fantastic menu, totally unexpected to find a place like this, every detail has been thought of, and the pairings are fantastic!

There were four of us for dinner, a meeting of friends. Each of us ate something different and all were good. In addition we had two bottles of a Barolo that was exceptional. The restaurant is located in the Warwick Hotel building. Tables were far enough apart that conversation was easy, and there was no noise at an early dinner time on a Sunday night at 6:30pm. I can recommend the Bean Fattoush, the Date truffles, the lamb ribs, peri shrim, and the chicken kebab. All were excellent and very Middle Eastern. We drank two bottles of Iuli Umberta Barbera 2014, and two bottles of St Aniol sparking water. The desserts were excellent too, Chocolate Tahini cake, Shredded wheat, ice cream, followed by expresso. The total for 4 before tip was $359.48 or about $100 each after the tip. It was good value considering that each bottle of wine was $77.00. Highly recommended.

You got to a restaurant with an expectation, when the restaurant exceeds your expectation you know you have hit the jackpot. From the ambiance, staff food, and drink Spice Finch is a must. It's a top 3 restaurant for me in the country. Nicholas Bravo our waiter has set a new bar for all future servers, he was a 10 plus. The food was just spectacular we had no complaints about any course. Each course was better than the previous course. The plate size was perfect, we left satisfied and not feeling overfilled. Put this on your list as a must-do restaurant.

Spice Finch was the most delicious Mediterranean I’ve had, second only to my very favorite Med dining spot…Greenville, SC (The Pita House). I grew up enjoying homemade Lebanese food graciously shared by Lebanese family friends, and they set that bar really high, so, guess what…I’m picky!

Friday evening - visited for the Happy Hour time slot. Two couples, we sat very comfortably in a nook w a high top table near the bar. Zack was our waiter- friendly, professional and informative. The dishes were delicious, generous and very reasonable at the Happy Hour pricing, as were the drinks. Beautiful decor, not too loud. A very enjoyable experience!

Very authentic Mediterranean food. Each dish had great flavor and differently distinct. The special drinks were lots fun. Service a little slow. But worth every moment to savior each plate. We will be back as our favorite Mediterranean restaurant in town

When looking up unfamiliar restaurants, it's always smart to look at the menu online before you go, to be sure you can find something you'll like or at least be interested in trying. I thought I had, but unfortunately the menu descriptions are quite terse. Starter small plate of date "truffles" was good, but they didn't specify that "torn herbs" actually meant mostly cilantro, which some of us call "Satan's parsley." Picked that off, and the it was a tasty dish, but too sweet for a starter. Shrimp peri peri was delicious, but at these prices and in the dimly lit dining room, customers should not have to peel shrimp that are swimming in a messy sauce. Do that in the kitchen, please -- we're not at the shore in our old clothes. The signature dessert is a chocolate cake; have you ever tasted a chocolate cake and thought, "Hmm, needs cardamom and candied grapefruit peel"? Me neither, because it doesn't. On the bright side, service was prompt and friendly, and they are extremely eager to cater to allergies if you let them know. There may be other menu items that would be more pleasing, or at least less odd, but I'm not really tempted to try to find out.

This restaurant did things right that many don't. First, it's not too loud, especially at the bar. Second, while it's not cheap, it's not really very expensive given the quality of the food and the serving sizes. Third, there are dishes that are healthy AND good, so you don't have to order a boring piece of chicken to feel good. Lastly, the food is excellent with flavors you don't find all that often. I loved it. Favorite dish so far: the broccoli tabbouleh, and the shrimp. The ribs were good too, as was the bean tagine. The only downside so far: all the foods were just a little too salty.

We came here to celebrate a special birthday and it turned into a 2+ hour meal because of the horrible service. 2 people's fish entrees were served raw and then we waited for 30 minutes for dessert to be served to our table without anyone checking on us even though we tried to get our waitresses attention. Not only that but the waitress was snarky and the receptionist did not even thank us for dining at the restaurant. However, after the fact the manager did take something off of our bill which was very nice but she was incredibly disrespectful. I would not go back or recommend this restaurant at all which is a shame because the food was good.

A relatively new restaurant in the Rittenhouse Square area, Spice Finch does some things very well. It's a family style, share as you go place, the kitchen coursing out your dinner depending upon your order. The snacks, small plates, grains and vegetable dishes were good. Bold interesting flavors, expect garlic, harissa and vinaigrette. We all really enjoyed the date truffles, spicy nuts and shishito peppers. The charred carrot hummus was also excellent but I thought they were a little stingy with the flatbread portion accompanying the dish. The larger plates were disappointing. The texture on the the chicken was odd - almost rubbery; on both the white and dark meat. A petite filet ordered medium was to our mind underdone and tough - not a good combination. Service was warm but a little bumpy (water refills, fresh plates between courses) part of that comes from just being new and the staff their pacing. Lastly, I have to mention the room and its ambiance. Or rather lack of it. To me it looked like an airport lounge from the 60s. No warmth, no personality and incredibly dim lighting which made it very difficult to see what you were eating. Dinner for 4 with light alcohol consumption came to about $80 per person. But given the menu you could dine here for $50 a person easily. Very family friendly and can accommodate larger groups.

Husband and I took our 6-month old here for an early weeknight dinner, and the service was fantastic! Since the restaurant is roomy and spacious (and wonderfully decorated I might add!), we were able to pull up our stroller next to our table. We ordered two cocktails, and I loved For Pete's Sake and Redemption #3 - both were light and delicious. As for our meal, we ordered the Peri-Peri shrimp, Octopus, Merguez Kebab, Baby Green Salad, and the Roasted Cauliflower. I liked the Shrimp and Cauliflower the best! We even ordered extra flatbread because it was so good, and we dipped the bread in the sauce. The dishes came out once they were ready, and it was a good pace so that we were able to enjoy each plate. Each dish was beautiful to look at! Service was attentive, and not overbearing. Overall a great meal, and a restaurant that I would highly recommend! Our family date night was a success!

Very different and interesting drinks. Did not eat here just went for drinks after our wedding. Drinks were a little pricey.

Ambiance was very good. the tables were modern and well apart so the noise level was low.The food was excellent. Portions were good to large, innovative, and excellent in quality. Food prices were reasonable. Wine was expensive.

We ordered a ton of dishes and I still walked out unsatisfied. Food is good, but in my opinion not significantly memorable. Wine bottle choices overall too expensive. I typically enjoy tapas family style and the atmosphere was very nice. Staff also very good. I’ll give it another try since I know it gets good reviews.

Fading on a Friday night we arrived to this boisterous yet somehow cozy spot and ate ourselves into a happy food coma. Our starter five small plates were exotically flavored, delicious and varied from peri-peri shrimp, warm grain salad to garlic yogurt & crudite. The table entrees of dry rubbed chicken (fabulous) and salt baked eggplant (creative) were excellent. Our waiter was happy to answer our many questions about the spice combinations and flavor profiles. We over ordered, over ate and under spent. The final bill was a happy surprise. Will certainly return to sample further into the Spice Finch menu while perhaps some restraint.

we were looking for a place close to the hotel and we found this gem! The waiter was amazing very knowledgeable and great recommendations. the food was delicious. very interesting. we highly recommend this placr

Spice Finch was amazing! After reading about this restaurant in Philly magazine we were eager to try it. To start we had the baked cheese and berbere carrots. Both delicious the presentation of the baked cheese dish was fresh and the dish was packed with flavor. The octopus escabecha was amazing. From the food to the service a total A+ in my book. Will return again soon!

I had seen a lovely review of this place on CHECK PLEASE prompting our visit. I mentioned the TV review to both the host and the waiter and got zero response: Big red flag. Staff did not know; did not care; couldn't fake any enthusiasm. The space is just beautiful. Great location too. The menu was limited and expensive but we chose 3 things--all of them had been mentioned one the TV review: Duck wings, shashuka, and a dip trio. The dip included deep fried pita that was so greasy. I have eaten in many middle eastern establishments and all have been better than this one. The waiter watched a football game on TV while we poked through the food. There are far better and much more interesting places to eat in Philadelphia.

We made a reservation for Spice Finch without possibly knowing the up and coming nature of this restaurant, and the unknown made the experience that much better. Although we had a bit of a wait for our table even with a reservation, it was all uphill from there. The staff was attentive and friendly. We had 4 people in our party, so our waitress worked with us to try to sample as many of the dishes as possible without over-ordering. We were guided well through the menu and started with the hummus, baked cheese, shishito peppers, broccoli tabbouleh, cauliflower and more. Lots of things to dip the great flatbread in. The larger plates included the chicken kebab and the lamb shank. Everything tasted fantastic and we were full and happy at the end of the meal. The service was great throughout, and there is no doubt we will be back.

This restaurant is located in the hotel we stayed at. It is beautifully decorated and has lovely contemporary menu.

I'll admit, I'm a big Top Chef fan and my partner knows it. After doing some digging, he made us reservations at Spice Finch as a little surprise "date night" for the two of us. Admittedly, I'm not a fan of Mediterranean cuisine, but I also come from the camp that "good food is good food", so I kept an open mind and was excited to go. I am so glad that we went! Our reservation was for 5pm but we didn't need one as it was quiet when we arrived (but I love that he made one). The service was great and our server happily walked us through the menu and answered questions we had. We got some sauces with flatbread, the fries, roasted cauliflower, and lamb shank. It was a perfect amount for the two of us and we came home with a few tasty leftovers. The food was truly thoughtful and delicious. I'm a relatively picky eater and I found myself eating things I would normally never touch (like carrots) and thinking they were actually pretty good. We finished the meal with the Burnt Cream dessert which was weird but in a good way. I feel like I'm going to dream about that dessert for quite some time - it was that good. Highly recommend, whether it's a cuisine you like or not.

Very tasty addition to the downtown/Rittenhouse Sq dining scene. Pleasant for dinning solo or with friends at the bar or a table. The dry rubbed chicken easily accommodates two or three people, as does the whole fish. The seasonings create unique flavors that are a nod to the mediterranean and the middle east. Both dishes are excellent as is the service. It really nice to see a restaurant succeed at something different in neighborhood loaded with restaurants that all seem to have more or less the same menus.

We ordered the fries, roasted cauliflower, shrimp and charred octopus. The fish was fresh and sauces with each dish were outstanding, including just the right amount of harissa, mint, and other delightful inputs. The cauliflower was addictive, and there just wasn't enough of it. Servers were terrific, just the right amount of attentiveness! The bar area was super busy and noisy, but the food smells made your mouth water!

We had our office holiday party @ Spice Finch. The attentive staff took very careful care of this celiac gluten free diner. The plates are artistic and beautifully presented. We all enjoyed the interesting variety of delicious foor. The cocktails are memorable. The waitstaff were true professionals, they are warm and attentive and quick. We enjoyed the night so much I got a reservation for 10 to bring five couples from my suburban town back two weeks later.

On our last night in Phily we went to Spice Finches, and boy, it did not disappoint. Best to reserve as it does fill up. We had the cauliflower, watermelon and tomato salad, the baked cheese and the cheese philo roll. All just right. Our waitress was so nice and accommodating. Will most definitely come back

We stayed at the Warwick for a couples get away and stopped in truly because it was attached to the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised when we enjoyed our snacks and cocktails at Spice Finch better than our later dinner reservation. Mediterranean food is not one of our go-to’s but it was excellent here! Our bartender was amazing and made the best espresso martini I’ve had probably ever! She was attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was also wonderful - very cozy, modern, and romantic. 100% would recommend and will go back next time we’re in the city!

It was our first time back since the pandemic. We are so happy the restaurant adapted and survived during the pandemic. We like to stay at the Warwick and eat at Spice Finch as many times as we can. The use of the species and flavor profiles of the dishes are simply intoxicating. We love everything from the Berbere crisps to breakfast!! Always something wonderful coming out of the kitchen at Spice Finch! Highly Recommend!! Dale and Valarie of Unstoppable Foodie.

Went there as part of a group of 10 with a pre set menu. It was all fabulous, the food just kept coming. There were two vegans among the 10 and they readily accommodated their needs. A wonderful addition to the dining options near Rittenhouse Square.

I went with a group of 7 last weekend and we had a wonderful meal and experience at Spice Finch. We had the prixe fix, which covered many, many dishes, all of which were great. Given the high quality of the food, the price was reasonable. I was particularly impressed with the high level of service - very efficient and amazingly fast, plus friendly!

Creative cocktails, tasty mezze options and the lamb ribs were literally falling off the bone. We started with the Passiflora and Mediterranean Margarita. The Blossom & Bloom was also tasty. We shared the Halloumi Gem Salad, trio of spreads and the absolutely delicious Chickpea Wedges dipped in a garlic yogurt. The Persian Rice Cake was perfect with the lamb ribs. For dessert we had what we were told was everyone's favorite: Warm Tahini Brownie with ice cream. A fantastic Mediterranean meal that was filling—but not overly so—combined with fantastic flavors from start to finish. We will be back!

My family had a spectacular dinner in this new, Mediterranean-themed restaurant, down the block from Philadelphia's lovely Rittenhouse Square, in the Warwick hotel. We shared a number of dishes that were beautifully prepared and subtly flavored. Among our selections were croquettes (with mahon, avocado, tomatillo), roasted cauliflower (with coriander cashew butter), baked cheese, broccoli tabouleh (with quinoa and garlic tahini). We ordered two delicious deserts: a sundae with all kinds of complex flavors and a tahini chocolate cake. The staff were quite attentive and friendly. Overall, this was an outstanding dining experience, with food unlikely anything we've ever tasted.

Went with friends to Spice Finch before a show. The waiter was fantastic. We ordered a bunch of the small plates. The grape leaves were a favorite. Also had the lamb shank, which was huge. More than enough for three people who also ordered like 4 small plates.

I wanted to love this new-ish restaurant because we love Mediterranean food and this place is around the corner from where we live in the Rittenhouse Square area of Center City Philadelphia. The server carefully explained their small plate concept which was helpful. What wasn't helpful was the description of the dishes on the menu. We started with stuffed grape leaves and the fattoush salad, both traditional favorites for us. I wouldn't have recognized the stuffed grape leaves, but they were the highlight of the menu for us. The fattoush salad was not recognizable in presentation nor taste. Furthermore, it had been sprinkled with a hot (spicy) powder. I can't eat hot spices and had specifically inquired about whether another item we ordered was spicy, but it wasn't mentioned nor was there an offer to leave it off. I believe it was an addition on top because it didn't penetrate to some of the vegetables on the bottom. Speaking of vegetables, this included cauliflower which I like, but wouldn't have expected in a fattoush salad. We ordered the salt baked eggplant which our server had described as an entree portion. This was the item description: mushroom, bechamel, garlic streusel. I'm familiar with bechamel from moussaka. In my opinion, there was no bechamel to be found. Our server checked with the kitchen and said it was "mixed in"--really? I had specifically asked if this dish was spice (as in chile) before ordering. Again, it was sprinkled with something "hot spicy", but I rummaged around and found some eggplant at the bottom which to which it hadn't penetrated. I don't want to be a total Debbie Downer. Maybe we just don't get new concept Mediterranean food. The atmosphere was pleasant. We were seated near the bar, but it was not so noisy as to interfere with conversation. We enjoyed our drinks---a rose proscecco and a cocktail "Rest in Pete's" (a reference hardcore Philadelphians will get) which was accurately described on the menu. I did see someone at another table "return" their draft beer because it was flat. The server agreed, saying there was something wrong with the apparatus and offered to bring him something else. Another good note was the dessert we shared: Chocolate Tahini Cake, served with buttercream, orange sorbet, and orange meringue. We thought the food was pricey. Our bill (before tip) totaled $86. We wouldn't return here for a meal, but it could be a nice place for a drink, an appetizer (what could they do to humuus?) and dessert.

Amazing small plates including blistered peppers and a beef tenderloin to die for. Small green salad, and baked carrots were tasty items for the vegetarians in the crowd. Really something for everyone. Cool cocktails, too

10 people went to Spice Finch after a long day work meeting, each of us with unique backgrounds and food personalities and everyone loved it. We decided to share the meal "family-style" and the waitress guided us through the menu. The appetizers and dinner were amazing. Hummus, flatbreads, lamb shank, carrots, taboule, you name it, it was yummy and so flavorful. Don't bother on desert. After such an amazing meal it was quite a downer and we tried one of each.

Here in Philly on business and staying at the Warwick. Ate here for convenience but definitely a good move. Great food. Nice wine. Excellent service.

Spice Finch was an absolute pleasure start to finish. We were greeted in a welcoming manner by all. The service was excellent and the food fresh, delicious and expertly prepared as well as beautifully presented. We will be back.

This was an accidental find for us , going here to meet friends staying in the Warwick Hotel upstairs. We sat at the bar, where the service was very friendly, from both the bartenders and sommelier. Short but good wine list. Food - mainly in smaller plates - was very good, and much enjoyed. Highly recommend.

My husband and I split the Lemon Cardamom Roll for dessert with a side of berry sorbet, it was delicious, the perfect blend of whipped cream strawberry, rhubarb, subtle lemon and some basil tossed in for good measure. I had an Amaretto on the rocks and my husband had a Teeling Whiskey on the rocks- servers were fast and professional- atmosphere pleasant... drinks generous and I loved the huge ice cube...

Not a fan of hotel restaurants but we decided to try this place when walking by. Well designed. The bar crew are pros serving a great drinks menu. The food was fresh and arrived fast. Very good flavors especially the Shishito peppers dish. Dessert was a disappointment and dull finish to a good dining experience.

Beautiful restaurant with amazing food and drink options. Came with my family to celebrate our wedding anniversary and everything from the staff to the food to the ambiance was perfection. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and a huge bar area. I definitely am looking forward to coming back soon.

Came here for a dinner on a Friday night and it was an amazing experience. The servers were all excellent and the vibes were great. The food was amazingggg. I had the redemption #3 as a drink. It was good! The shabazi fries were the best. The harissa aioli that went with it was soo good that I had asked them for more! If I wasn’t so full, I definitely would order more fries. It was the best part. The trio of spreads were good! I like the flavors of each and how it went well with each other. The crisps that came with it was delicious even by itself! The baked cheese was really good! I had ordered the flat bread with it and it was delicious! The burnt cream as an ending was great. It was light and refreshing! It looks so pretty too! I definitely would come back!

Spice Finch is a unique dining experience with cuisine not typically found in the Philly foodie scene, and is really a testament to what a great foodie city Philly is becoming. We tried a wide sampling of the menu, and nothing disappointed. The service was great, and the food is brought out as it is completed, ensuring hot food that hasn't been languishing under a heat lamp. The baked cheese was something that came from another planet entirely, and was utterly mouth watering delicious while the blistered shishito peppers were perfect. The drinks were also quite wonderful, and surprisingly boozy for a cocktail, but in a good way. Everything from start to finish was presented beautifully, with plating thoughtfully completed. The only questionable aspect of the entire meal is the wallpaper on the two side walls, those with little kids or inquiring teenagers might have to answer some questions they weren't prepared for at the dinner table. One of my new favorite spots in Philly.

This restaurant serves sharing plates of really lovely and unusual food, a creative take on Mediterranean basics. Hummus, tagines, roasted meats, grains, many vegetarian and vegan options. The lighting and decor are soft, welcoming, not all hard-edged and noisy as so often these days. The service was excellent and the whole experience very enjoyable. I look forward to going back.

Searching for a special place to celebrate an engagement with out of town folks and family. Spice Finch was everything I had hoped for: a lovely table in the back gave us the peace & quiet away from the main room to converse & get to know each other; the service was attentive and very accommodating; the pre fixed five course selection gave everyone a variety of options without having our heads buried in the menu. And most importantly, the food. Creative, flavorful, original. Everything was prepared with so much flavor and aromatics. It was wonderfully delicious!! We really couldn’t of asked for a nicer dining experience.

This is a small plates restaurant with some interesting dishes and flavors. We shared plates and enjoyed everything we ordered. I would say the only disappointment was the harissa--seemed odd to pay for a plate of chili powder (no hot sauce on offer).

walking in the neighborhood and decided to give this restaurant a try for breakfast ..we have had dinner there and that was excellent BUT breakfast was a bust...two eggs, bacon, potatoes and a coffee was 20 dollars and no toast, jelly etc....when i can get a great breakfast around the corner for much less i would pass...now having said that, the atmosphere is very nice, the service is excellent and if you are staying at the Warwick next door and dont know anything about the city then this is a pleasant experience but if you are a breakfast lover and dont mind not having atmosphere then there are better breakfast places..

We were a party of eight, there to celebrate my sister's birthday. Good things had been heard about the place so we decided to give it a try. I have mixed opinions about the experience. Here are my pros and cons: PROS: 1) They seated us quickly and on time. One of my sisters is in a wheelchair, and they did a good job of ensuring that the table we sat at met her needs. 2) Our waitstaff did a superb job of explaining the dishes, assisting us in choosing the right amount to share with one another, and offering suggestions. 3) The food was well prepared and flavorful. We were pleased with our choices, though we ordered a carrot mix and it was quite spicy - you couldn't eat too much of it. Great desserts! CONS: 1) The water glasses were small plastic cups. Seriously? I'm not sure what the reason for this was since they had to be washed regardless. Needless to say, the water was served lukewarm and with no ice. When my sister asked for ice, she was told that the water was already cold (not). She and others at our table had to eventually ask for ice for their water. Furthermore, they weren't kept filled. Being a large table, we asked to have a pitcher of water brought to the table to make things easier, which never was. 2) Their menu offers small plates and then others which are large enough to be shared between two people. My two kids, not really liking many of the choices on the menu, decided to share one of the larger chicken plates. The other small plates came out, but their chicken didn't. We inquired about the missing chicken and was told is was coming. Well, we were almost done eating and they were still waiting for their chicken. By that time, we told them to skip the chicken, that neither they nor the rest of us wanted it. I understand the pacing is different, but I found this troublesome. 3) I ordered hot tea at the end of the meal. I have no idea who packed the tea container, but it was filled to the top and the tea was horribly strong. I enjoy my tea on the stronger side, but this was not edible. It was sludge. I ended up not drinking it. Some folks in our party were pleased with their experience. Others, myself included, were not so much. They may choose to return, but I will most likely not.

Craig LeBan of the Phila Inquirer gave this restaurant, which recently opened, 4 bells and so living 3 blocks from the restaurant (in the Warwick hotel) we decided to give it a try. The cuisine is middle eastern, tabbulah, lamb, grape leaves, etc. The service was good , the dishes were good (all small plates) nicely served. The wine list is long, the bar looks to be pleasant for a drink, the noise level is bearable and for the visitor to philadelphia that enjoys this kind of cuisine, I would recommend the restaurant

We chose this restaurant because of its location in the Warwick at Rittenhouse Square. We will return because of the excellent food. We chose a roasted chicken dish served with fabulous roasted vegetables. The service was attentive. The wait staff were very knowledgeable about the menu. They were able to answer all of our questions. The use of spices was excellent. I definitely would visit this restaurant again. The prices were reasonable for the Philly center city area.
One of the best restaurants in Philly- and we've been to a lot!
What a great restaurant! My husband and I ate there in August of 2020 amid Covid-19 so we sat outside on a beautiful evening. The food is incredible! We have both traveled all over the world and had a lot of great food. Spice Finch is up there with the best. Yup, I said it. Instead of main courses we split quite a few small plates. The Trio of Spreads was so tasty and varying in flavor. The Date Truffles were tangy and delicious. The Baked Cheese was our favorite- served piping hot in a cast iron pan and crispy on the bottom. The Chocolate Tahini Cake was out of this world. The flavor so intriguing. Please try Spice Finch so creative chefs are able to stay in business.
