It's Sports Bar Pub Food, But Good Though

By craig1086 |

Came here yesterday for the Falcons/Eagles playoff game. Place was jammed packed, as it is on any major game day. Took 15 mins of waiting out in 25 degree cold, because they institute a "one in, one out" entrance policy when all the tables are food. Not to mention there was a small amount of room to go inside and stand and have drinks. That was annoying, and I've never seen a bar in any part of ATL do this. The Battery might want to tweak that policy. But anyway, ordered at the bar. Good prices on drinks, but tell them to make sure your drinks are strong. Food was pub food, but good. Like others said, screen is the hugest I've seen in any sports bar. I'd go back

Perfect pit stop !

Before the game we had some drinks, entertainment & great good ! Very fun time experience and atmosphere! Wish we could take this place back home with us!!! Let’s go Mets!

Not worth it

By Wall17_10 |

Some friends suggested we meet here for a Braves event for the kids. The restaurant wasn’t busy. Our waitress made it very clear she wasn’t interested in serving anyone from the beginning. She was annoyed by questions. She didn’t come back to check on us. We finally sent another waiter for her when we didn’t receive one of our orders. She shrugged her shoulders, and said she’d check on it. She came back 10 minutes later with 2 other waitresses, and said, you got your order now, right? We said no, and she was off again. The food wasn’t good either. I had salty, cold chicken strips with cold fries. My husband didn’t care for his wings. And, one of the kids complained about how small the sliders were. He gets more meat in the kids sliders at Ted’s. I ordered a drink, which was good, but mainly ice. It wasn’t cheap either to be overflowing with ice. We definitely won’t bother coming back.

Fun Place to Watch Sports

By GoVols79 |

Sports and Social is a part of the Battery entertainment area outside of SunTrust Park. It is inside the “Live” at the Battery Atlanta Building. I have been to similar developments in St Louis and Kansas City. They all feature large restaurants with a huge wall of televisions that are great for viewing sports. Our most recent visit was on a Sunday as we were making our way north from a trip to Florida. I figured it would be a great place to enjoy the NFL games as we ate dinner. Parking at the Battery is free for the first 2 hours and I believe you can get it validated for a longer period if you spend $50 or more at a restaurant. The 2 hour time frame was plenty for us. This obviously doesn’t apply during an Atlanta Braves baseball game. Although it was busy we were seated immediately in a large booth. Service was ok and the food is typical of a sports bar. Portions on burgers and the nachos are very large. We enjoyed the meal overall and our team won so it was a good experience. We have been before when an Atlanta area team is playing and that is a really fun atmosphere to have a lot of people cheering them on.

Average Sports Bar

By KMB_GA |

Came here after shopping the Braves Clubhouse sale knowing there would be less crowds with no SEC football on. It was still pretty full due to an Army-Navy watch party. We managed to get a small table for two and ordered a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and the chicken fried chicken. Our waitress was ok; seemed friendly and checked on us sparingly. The atmosphere was pretty typical sports bar; very loud for the game not having started yet; the walls seemed to make even the smallest sounds carry. The food was your average pub food, nothing memorable, but an ok option while watching a big game. Prices were average as well I think each dish was between $13-16. Lots of better options in the battery. Decent number of large TVs.

Just went for beers

By Clyde M |

I was down here for work and we come over for some beers. They have a good selection. I liked the local IPA Terrapin. They had a bags set on the roof and we had a blast playing for an hour. I'm from up north so being outside and playing bags for a while was fantastic.

Loved the Big Screen TV

By Clyde B |

If you a re searching for a fun place to watch special sporting events or just hang out an play pool, ping pong and golf, its a must that you try Sports and Social. Food is average, though.

Great food, Great Atmosphere, and Great Service.

By Kellieshomes |

What a fun place and great food. Wings were amazing, drinks were awesome too. Loved the atmosphere and our server, Kierra was amazing.

Grossed out

By Laura S |

The bartender opened a mixer bottle with her teeth and then made a drink. I watched in disbelief 🤢. Needless to say, I left.

A fun place to gather, nosh and sip!

By Craig M |

Our group had a great time at Sports & Social and Todd English. Great food. Tasty drinks! Jade was a super server, while Randolph, Alberto and Kat kept things rolling over at Todd English! So glad to have this amazing venue in my neighborhood!

Great Sports Bar

By Dolphinheadkw |

This place is awesome. TV's everywhere with 1 as big as the wall. Beer pong, ping pong. PBR upstairs has foosball and occasional live music and a bull to ride. Great food options. Anthony was an awesome bartender, friendly and attentive. His coworkers should try to be more like him. They weren't near as friendly or helpful.

Great service great food

By Daidra C |

Kia was a fantastic server. Food was great. I recommend the nachos and pimento cheeseburger. Ambiance was great as well.

Very Disappointing Beer and Dining Experience

By Allan L |

#1 - Don't offer draft beer for which your beverage management cannot maintain a constant stock. People sometimes come to your establishment because they are interested in enjoying a particular draft beer that you offer, To travel to your establishment and then be told that you cannot properly manage your beer keg inventory is VERY DISAPPOINTING. If you are offering Peroni draft beer, maintain a sufficient back-up stock of Peroni draft beer. #2 - If you are operating a restaurant in the South, serve Southern Mayonnaise. No one from the South likes sweet "Miracle Whip" style salad dressing on their burgers and sandwiches "YUCK"! The manager said that you serve this "substitute" for good old Southern mayonnaise because you (the owner) are from Baltimore, MD. I can understand if you served this garbage at a restaurant in Baltimore but we Southerners like REAL MAYONNAISE (Duke's, Hellmann's or (maybe) Blue Plate); we DEFINITELY do not like "Miracle Whip" and, in our opinion, anything with sweet salad dressing would not be eaten by us or given to our dog; it might go into the slop bin for pig feed. #3 - Hire people that know how to provide proper customer service. The young lady masquerading as a "server" for our table had no redeeming server qualities. She acted as if she did not want to be working at your establishment and she DEFINITELY did not know how to provide proper customer service.

Top of the line in sports bars

By Michael K |

you would be hard pressed to find a better place to watch a big game than the main room in this place. The screen is absolutely massive. You'd better get there early though as it fills up quickly. The food is actually pretty good for a sports bar as well, and they have a nice beer selection.

Only about PBR SECTION/CALAMITY COMEDY

By jaxdancers |

I am only reviewing the PBR Calamity Comedy with this review. Simply: dont bother We should have been yelling CUT CUT CUT They are boring and went on and on and on and on and ....you get the message. Barely a chuckle could be heard. You must get tickets for free on Ticketfly and be obe of the 30 people there. You also get a drink card to use but not nearly enough to make you laugh with these improves. Yes, they cant pay you to come and drink to watch. too painful. The host, Calamity Jane was the only one who made an attempt to make us laugh and that was doing burlesque. She needs to fire everyone else and start again before next month's show as the only do it once a month on Thursday's (thank goodness). This review is for PBR CALAMITY COMEDY only. I will do a seperate much more glowing review of Sports and Social in another post.

No Quiet Table For Two!

By shellbug51368 |

This is an extremely noisy happening place on game day! Tons of people, hour long wait...did I mention noisy! You could not hold a conversation without constantly leaning in to hear what the other person said. That being said..the food was amazing. If you want something light and refreshing get the Asian Salad..yummy! Hubby had the BBQ burger...he said it was amazing.

Fun place for after game beer and appetizers

By davew49 |

We enjoyed this place, huge TV screens, ping pong and much more. Fun DJ and attentive waiter + really good food and large craft and regular beer selection. Really good atmosphere and they also offer fun mixed drinks

Save Yourself, Make Another Choice

By 985lindaa |

I have never written a negative review before. I usually opt to praise. This is different. I can't review the food, because after an hour, we had never received our food. They seated us at a table that had not been cleaned, took our order, served our drinks, and then never returned. After the first 30 minutes, young man who was not our waiter inquired if we had seated ourselves and had a waiter. He checked, and our food had been ready so long that they were going to re-make it. It still didn't come. They swept around us. They rolled bulging trash cans through the middle of the dining area. When we asked for a manager, the manager didn't come. When we asked again, we were given a bill for our food that we never saw, much less tasted. Yes, it has a great location across the walkway from the right field entrance to SunTrust Park, but don't be taken in. Let the brutal volume of the sound in the dining room be a clue. When last seen, our waitress was fixing her hair in the ladies room. We were hungry, but when we left, we were hungry, sick, and tired.

Highly unorganized

By Orange S |

So Sports & Social is part of the the Live Battery trio of restaurants that is next to the new Braves stadium. The other two are PBR and the English Tavern. All three are new and its shows. I hit S&S three hours before the start of the Braves game. Half the restaurant is empty. I went up to the hostess to get a seat and she stated it was a 45 min wait. I ask how could that be when more then half of the restaurant is empty? She stated they had just open and if she allowed any more customers in, the kitchen would be overwhelmed. Now let that play in your head for a moment. The restaurant was not even close to capacity, yet the kitchen could not handle anyone else? Insane. I ask if I could just go set at the bar to wait for a table. Her answer No. She stated she didn't have the staff for it. Wow. So I put my name on her list and gave her my phone# to text when the table was ready. Well it has been two days now and I have yet to receive that text. Guess she's not going to call. In any case avoid the Live Battery restaurants. They are understaffed and poorly managed. If your going to the Braves game, eat first. Avoid over crowding, over price food and under priced service.

Great Place To Watch The Big Game

By Mary H |

This past Saturday my friends and University of GA Alumni friends went to Sports and Social to watch the UGA vs University of FL game. The facility is large for a big crowd. We were greeted by the hostess as soon as we arrived. We were seated very quickly. There is a 30+ foot screen in the center of the room. Which made it great to watch the game. There are TV screens placed throughout the bar. There is also a DJ to keep the atmosphere hiped. We had a great time. We had great service from the wait staff. The food was good also. The French Fries and Tater Tots are really good. I would order them again. I ordered the footlong beef chilli dog. It was good also. My only complaint is, the sports bar was really cold. We ask the wait staff to ask management to turn up the heat but they did not. The shots of Tito's vodka was EXTREMELY small. I will recommend Sports and Social but do not buy the shots.

Great setting, mediocre food

By Traveling Coach |

On a recent trip to The Battery I had lunch with a friend at Sport and Social. It was not "game day" so there were no crowds to contend with. My colleague chose the restaurant as his office is nearby. The bar appears to be the main focus of the facility which features high soaring ceilings, a mezzanine which overlooks the main dining room and it has the largest video screen I have even seen inside a restaurant. Lots of screens around so clearly this falls into the category of a sports bar. There is an outdoor eating area and large doors open the interior of the restaurant to the outdoor atmosphere. The design is excellent and made for the ballpark crowd. However, the food fails to live up to culinary standards. We both ordered Caesar salads with chicken. It was formula salad with shredded chicken and very "common" lettuce. There was not enough dressing and it really did not feel like an authentic Caesar salad in the traditional sense. Also ordered the quesadilla and it was pretty average. Salsa had little flavor beyond tomato. Very uninspired. The waiter was okay but not skilled or highly trained. To be fair I am sure the bar is a happening place on game day but on this day for lunch our meal was uninspiring and boring. I suppose "pub food" would be a way to describe it but overall a very average dining experience.

Great bar

By Jessica C |

Great environment to watch the UGA game. We could not believe the size of the big screen tv. Great outdoor seating and fun games inside.

Horrible

By Todd K |

Was told 30 minutes for a table. Got a text in 1 minute! That was as good as it got. We went before a game and waited forever! I went to the bar “from our table” and ordered a 20oz beer twice before our 1st round of drinks came to the table. My daughter was done eating and cleared by the time the other 3 received their food. Wife’s quesadilla was burnt “when they brought our food out a second time we switched out the burnt one” not sure why they delivered the food twice? daughter didn’t get her fries with her sandwich “it was on a huge rectangle plate” someone has to see something missing. Fish taco was a fish stick with cole slaw on it! We were there for 2 hours! Absolutely horrible! I wrote a note with my number in the bill, still waiting for someone to call! One star is generous!

Not for me...

By FoodmanFB |

Nothing to see here as they say (or taste)... Overly crowded, in no way friendly or accommodating, even on slow nights. I honestly don't know why so many people come here aside from proximity to the stadium... Every place I've been to at the battery is better...

Open late after the game

By Amanda F |

Drinks are just ok. There's a giant TV that people seemed to really jazzed about. It's right outside the ballpark gates which makes super convenient to grab drink after the game. I didn't think it was anything special. Staff wasn't particularly nice or helpful. Everything was sticky. Good not great.

Spacious

By Travel R |

Was here for a large group event. It was spacious and service was great. Drinks were fine, Food was just ok. Good location at Battery.

Opening Day at the Battery

By Dave Nanni |

This would’ve been completely understandable IF LIVE at the Battery (ATL) Sports and Social drooped the ball with opening day and thousands of Braves fans converging after a relatively quiet off season BUT I was blown away. Usually events like this result in woefully understaffed bars churning out average food and slow speed but this was the exact opposite! Tons of servers working in unison, we were treated so well, food was excellent and came out fast! We ordered the Southern twist on a Poutine, Guacamole & Queso, Pulled Pork Taquitos and lots of drinks. Everything was tasty and we finished it all. The entertainment host (Emcee) Ben kept the party going with music, contests and commentary. It was a great time had by our group and we will be back to drink, eat and dominate at all the games they have available for free like Bubble Hockey, Ping Pong and Giant Connect 4.

Very neat atmosphere, good food.

By keverhart298 |

Food was great, games for kids to play. Easy to find a place to sit. Big screen TV over bar was great.

Great Place to watch the game.

By David D |

We stopped in after a Braves game, staff was very friendly and attentive. In the main dining room they have a very large television, the NBA finals were on. We are on side bar, in another part of the restaurant watching baseball. People were having fun. We just had some drinks.

Good food good atmosphere.

By sled483 |

I went for drink at the bar. They were good. They had a really good deal on 33 oz beer. It was a souvenir glass. Refills were $7. I was informed they were doing 1/2 priced burgers until 3:00. Ended up getting the BBQ burger topped with pulled pork. It was huge! It was delicous. Fries were really good. For 1/2 price it was amazing! I didn’t need dinner since I was so full from lunch. Great time.

You're there for the vibe, not the food, and that's ok.

By TripTipDad |

It's good bar grub and a diverse enough menu that you can find something you're in the mood for. The burgers are pretty good, wings are better than average. One in our party thought the fish tacos were just ok. Service was a bright spot. We weren't here on a big sports night (I've been on several of those) so the place wasn't as crammed as it sometimes can be. That said, we had a great view of the TVs and enjoyed a half of NBA playoff basketball. The acoustics, as you might imagine, are not terrific. So the joy of being here is the vibe when you've got a lot of folks tuning in to a big game. They've got one helluva bar, and we found the keeps to be attentive to all. I do think the food is good enough to make a dinner destination out of it if you've got the time and inclination to watch a game. Value wise, you have to hunt and peck. We found some of the pricing to be inconsistent, meaning, some items were high priced, while others we thought were on the low side, believe it or not. It added up to a reasonable bill overall.

Worst customer service ever!!

By Ella B |

If I could give less than one star I would...we were seated and waited 15 min before someone came to take our drink order. Ordered nachos as an app, they took 20 min to come out. Our waitress never came to check on us as someone else dropped them off. We had no silverware or plates and another 20 min later she finally came to see how it was. At this point it was cold because we had no silver ware to eat and no one came by that we could stop to get any for the table. At this point we are 55 min in and we finally place an order for food and ask for a refill on drinks. The order goes in and low and behold it takes another hour to get our food! No refills, no apologies, nothing...poorest service ever! Food was luke warm at best when it came out. Manager was super nice but didn’t even comp our meals. Poor customer service! I wouldn't recommend this place for its waitresses or food quality. Will never return!

Disappointing

By Kimberly Underwood |

We’ve eaten here before and it was decent, but tonight it was not good. We waited a long time for service, and my daughter had the chicken tenders and they were cooked to death. My salad was fair. It’s a fun place to hang out, but don’t come here for the food.

Great gameday fun!

By plbrowny |

Great spot to drop in, prior to a game at SunTrust Park - good fun, contests, prizes, and plenty of screens for the match build-up. Food was great, and beer list long. Our two servers over different nights were both outstanding - great fun guys!

Good atmosphere. Terrible Spinach Dip

By Spencer Jones |

Wait staff was slow to greet and fill up drinks. Food didn’t take long to come out even though it was a Braves game day. Buffalo wings were good. Spinach dip was disgusting. The pool of grease in the dip just kept getting larger until we finally stopped trying to eat it.

When the TV's is only the best thing this place

By Katt S |

It's playoff time so why not go to the place who has the best TV's to watch... Well that's all there is because the service is horrible if you are not sitting at the bar. When came in no one was at the front to greet us.. We went to the bar got a drink day for moment, Ask the bartender was it okay to seat ourselves at a table to enjoy the magnificent TV she said yes someone would be right over. Never happen... Saw a server help table next to us then went to another table that came in after us.. We went back to the bar again and let her know no one has come she said again someone will be there shortly... 15 minutes later nothing...Drinks are so so... Need to work on making great drinks and how do you run out of liquor? Ask for a Tito's vodka and told us they ran out.. Just ridiculous? Used the ladies room, server use the bathroom came out of the stall went to the sink, look at her face and touch it then walked out of the bathroom... Who does that!! They definitely need a training team to come in and show them how to service customers. Sarah you must do better!!

Fun atmosphere with good food

By mcgowan06 |

I stopped over to Sports & Social at The Battery Atlanta after wrapping up a meeting in SunTrust Park. It was happy hour on a weekday with no baseball game that night, so the place wasn't too crowded. It's easy to see how this would be a fun place to be during a big game. For lunch I ate the BBQ brisket melt, and it was delicious! The sandwich consisted of tender brisket from Fox Bros. melted on grilled sourdough with poblano peppers, onions, and white cheddar. The fries were hot and crispy. Game or no game, I'd return to The Battery just for this sandwich!

Great food option at Truist Park

By Michele L |

Fun atmosphere in a great location right beside Truist Park. Go Braves! Food was great and service by Kae was excellent!

Bad food, slow service

By K E |

I hosted a lunch at Todd English Tavern. It took 24 hours to get someone to answer the phone to make a reservation which should have been a sign. Service was slow and we constantly had to track our server down. The food was mediocre. The Chicken sandwich and burger were both bland as was the steak flatbread. The food was also cold when arrived. The $18 Bloody Mary was not at all as described and I had to ask for the bacon with the drink. The sever seemed very put off with the request. Don't promote a high end drink if it can't be delivered as promised. Despite the cool atmosphere, skip Todd English. Over hyped and not worth the $$.

Good time

By Toni M |

If you are wanting a fun bar to hang out in, this is the place. Great music and typical bar service.

Perfect family outting

By Alexandra G |

Archie was incredibly friendly and attentive. Fabulous energy and personality. I’d absolutely come back again. Fantastic atmosphere.

Don't go here

By panicpreacher |

Honestly, as much as I travel I feel bad about not giving as many reviews as I should. That being said I feel the need to review this place as it was probably the worst bar food I have ever had. The local terrapin beers were $8 a pint and I had the fish tacos with tater tots and they were terrible. I am a huge fan of tater tots and they were the worst tater tots I've ever had. The fish tacos were chewy, obviously Frozen and tasted sort of old fish pungent.I went to this place after reading the terrible reviews because I didn't want to support a chain like the Yard House or punch bowl social however I greatly wish I did as I know their food is a lot more consistent. They also had the MLS soccer game on which was so loud that you couldn't really talked to the person at the bar stool next to you. I am not really sure why you should support a business like this even if you were to just grab a couple of beers before a braves game.

Fun place to make memories

By ATL I |

Sports and Social at the Truist Park Battery is a fun place! Drinks are good, food delicious and Malik was our server, which made for a great time. Thanks Malik!

Decent food, slow service

By lovecharleston612 |

Firstly, they do welcome young kids and even have a kids menu. Vibe is very cool, with tons of tvs and sports. All our food was good too! Extremely slow service though which always puts a damper on things

First visit in Atlanta

By LaShawnda N |

Madison Was very helpful.. Friendly, good attitude and attentive to detail. First time visiting and her service makes me want to come back next time I’m in Atlanta.

Worst Service Ever

By AllanL351 |

Stopped into Sports and Social for a late lunch while visiting the Battery at Suntrust Park. Our server obviously did not want to be working and had an extremely sour and surely attitude. It was a struggle to obtain any decent level of service and was quite possibly the worst service we have experienced in any restaurant in 50 years. The food would have been better if it had been delivered hot. It addition, this is the first restaurant, south of the Mason Dixon line that serves SWEET “Miracle Whip” style salad dressing instead of mayonnaise. They put this sweet crap on burgers and sandwiches which ruins the flavor of both. I was told by the manager that they use this sweet “salad dressing” instead of Southern Mayonnaise because the owners are from Baltimore, MD. HELLO...your restaurant is in ATLANTA GEORGIA...the heart of the south!

Bar food

Lots of tvs and other fun things to do. Family friendly. Menu is bar food, wait staff is good. Fine place to grab a beer.

Our Favorite Place at the Battery

By Femorian |

Every time we go towards Atlanta, we tend to stop at the Battery for drinks or dinner. This trip we went to a Braves game so it was a no brainer that we would go to Sports and Social to play games, eat and drink. I have been there with my wife, her and her girlfriends, a bachelor party, and just an afternoon with friends and it has been awesome every time. I would recommend the shuffle board.

Birthday Weekend

By lowogo |

We love everything about this restaurant/bar. The 30 foot TV is awesome. Makes the 90 inch screen TV's look very small. LOL The food is really great as is the service. We chose to sit outside on this visit and loved it. Very relaxing and a great place to people watch.

Fantastic service, yummy food and cheap beer on Thursdays!!

By sunnydazesunnydaze |

Right next door to the Park. Excellent service and food. Fancy burgers are half off and Sol beer is $3 on Thursdays. You can't beat that!! We had a fantastic visit and would go back. The upstairs patio is for drinks only after 5pm on game day. First come first served. A great place to sit back, relax and people watch before or after the game! Can't wait to come back!

AVOID this Place!

By ABChap |

We live 10 minutes from the Battery. We had friends from Orlando in town this past Monday night including an executive from The Golf Channel. He and his family were en route to London for the Yankees-Red Sox game. We decided to meet at The Battery. Tried to dine at Yard House but it was packed (45 minute wait). Now I know why and why Sports & Social was nearly empty. We should have waited at Yard House. Our party of 9 was seated immediately at S&S but we had to wait awhile before a server came to take our drink order. Once we placed our food order, it took around 75 minutes before our food arrived COLD!! We had ordered burgers, fries, flatbread, pasta and nachos. No gourmet food here! Our server was over the top rude! When we politely asked after waiting for an hour, he/she pointed to 3 surrounding tables and told us in a huffy voice that those tables were ahead of us. When we asked for more water, he/she brought back a pitcher of water and slammed it down on the table. Did not offer to pour it. We constantly had to ask for reorders on our other beverages. Service was horrendous and food even worse. Never going back. Owners should close and allow a more customer oriented establishment with better food open. Don’t let the big screens fool you! This place is not worth setting foot inside.

Ariana made the drinks go down smoother

By Hines Edventures |

Ariana was our server. I never met anyone as kind and professional and caring as Ariana. She served me and my friend quickly and made sure that her drink cups were full and her food was fresh. She was a wonderful waitress.

Good beer selection

By EllieMaze |

Stopped for a drink after dinner at El Felix. Immediately taken with the huge 30' LED TV that offers a great vibe to the place. I was on a mission to find the Coconut Porter from Cherry Street Brewing Co. Server suggested Vanilla Porter which was creamy and smooth with a deep, rich taste. Wasn't disappointed.

Worst place to eat at The Battery!

By Hannah |

Overall review: mediocre food at best, terrible service and long waits. Go elsewhere!! There are so many great places to eat and socialize at The Battery other than Sports & Social Tavern. Here's our experience: My husband and I are huge Braves fans! We live 10 minutes from the stadium and we go to at least 30 games a year. We had tried every restaurant at The Battery aside from Sports & Social Tavern until this past Saturday, April 27th, and I wish we hadn't! It was my friend's 30th birthday and that's where she wanted to eat before the game. First pitch was scheduled for 7:20pm so I arrived at 5:00pm to put our name in for a table of 12. Yes, that's a big group, but they said it was no problem at all and that our table would be ready in less than an hour. All is well, right? An hour and a half later they sat our party of 12 at a 7-top table. The blonde hostess dropped the menus and darted off without offering to pull up chairs or anything. I went up to the hostess stand to enquire about the issue and that's when the drama started... a different hostess proceeded to yell at my husband and I for the mix up claiming it was somehow our fault. She was causing such a stir that security came over! We then waited for them to clear off another table, across the restaurant, and they split up the birthday party. We asked to speak to a manager because of the HORRIBLE customer service we experienced, but that wasn't any better... Quinton offered zero help! The food took another hour and a half to come out, and by the time we left Sports & Social Tavern we had been there for over 3 hours and the game was already in the 3rd inning. Two hours into the ordeal someone above Quinton finally came down to offer us some compensation, but even that didn't go smoothly when we got our checks. We won't be back!!

Restaurant Name Matches the Atmosphere

By jackiem07 |

I have a friend who lives in Battery Park, and this is one of his favorite spots - and has quickly become one of mine as well. For sports, they have many, many screens for their guests' viewing pleasure, and they also provide a nice social environment that's great for cocktails and meals with friends and family - particularly before and after the Braves Games as it's located just outside the entrance. We typically grab a seat at the bar for apps and cocktails, but the food is good, the service is good, the prices are good - overall great spot!

Great place to watch a ball game.

By Seymour Beer |

Great place to watch a ball game. TVs everywhere, pingpong tables and several other games for entertainment. Good beer selection and menu choices.

Average Sports Bar

By BamaGrandslammer |

Arrived at the Battery outside SunTrust Park around 4:30, since the gates did not open until 6:00, we decided to find a place to duck in and have a bite. Even though it was 3 hours until game time, the place was already packed and we had about a 30 minute wait for a table. Once seated, the service seemed a little slow. The menu had most of the typical pub style offerings, We both had the Bacon Three Way Burger. It came to the table fairly quickly and it was huge. 2 patties, along with 3 types of bacon products. The bacon jam gave it a unique sweet taste and the burger was good enough. The accompanying fries were plentiful, but nothing special. They are recently open and feel they will probably work out some of the kinks with the service. They do have several games that patrons can participate in, including a golf simulator. Not bad, but not great.

Good Food / Fair Price

By Soonerfan1974 |

Son and I went on a Friday night to watch a bowl game while looking for a bite to eat. Food was good and the service was better than expected after reading some of the reviews. Atmosphere was fair but I could tell was heating up as we left around 8:30. Basically, if you are looking to watch a game and grab something to eat/drink then this is a good option in the area.

Awful staff, good atmosphere but bad service

So this was my 2nd visit to this place. Great atmosphere as they try to draw you in with the beer pong tables, interactive golf, a mechanical bull and some Foosball. They have a huge TV, probably about an 80 to 90" TV. And then a ton of 40" all around that and everywhere else. The tables are spread out all over the place, really no organization. Seems that people move them to where they want them and the restaurant staff never move them back. There is indoor seating, upstairs and downstairs and even patio seating. The first visit here, the seating was quick when we walked in the door. But to get wait staff to our table was another thing. We all sat there with no one acknowledging us for at least 15 minutes. Not great for first impressions. Especially when we chose this bar/restaurant over Todd English and the Yard House this day. This day I had the southern chicken sandwich. Although all the fixings were great, the chicken itself was extremely dry and tough. I was starving so I ate it but it wasn't the best sandwich. Good thing for beer! Had the pretzels for appetizer. 3 huge pretzels...not ideal when you have more than 3 people at the table. Wish it was pretzel sticks or nuggets. that would be better. The cheese was cold. Not happy and since we couldn't get our water to come back quickly we all just dealt with it. My friend constantly told the waiter that she can not have anything with mayonnaise and she ordered the mushroom burger, which he had mayo on. It was sent back 2 times due to still having mayo on it. Not a good experience. When it was time to pay, it took the waiter 20 minutes to ring up 3 tabs. We watched him at the computer and he looked more confused than anything. Definitely a struggle for him. This experience wasn't the greatest. But being a new establishment, we decided to just roll with the punches. Hence, why we went a 2nd time last night. decided to eat here before the Metallica concert and meet up with some friends. When we walked in, the hostess was texting on his phone and told us about all the bars (4 of them) and we can sit wherever we like. Not sure what was a good idea, but we sat on the patio and was walked passed about 5 times by 3 different waitresses and even the manager in his nice suit jacket holding menus and just starring into the abyss. Finally, he 1 waitress asked if we were ordering. Um, well yes, yes we are sitting at a table waiting to get menus. So she said ok, and she would be right back. She literally went to the table across from us and started talking to them, taking their order and even sat down with them. Ignored us for another 15 minutes. Um, hello?!! So another waitress came and asked us the same thing. We said yes again and would like service now. So she goes and gets us menus and actually comes back to help us. What a gem! She brings our menus and they are gross and terribly dirty. But she doesn't get us any new ones. We order drinks first. They came in a timely manner. then we ordered food. My boyfriend and friend were really upset because the second the waitress came to our table, the first thing she said was, "We are out of bacon tonight. Don't even ask!" Well...okay then. There goes the bacon triple burger they both wanted. So they chose the guacamole queso burger and the classic burger. Both were good they say and would get it again. I had the wings with sweet chili sauce. WOW! Wanna talk about hormone injected wings? These things were as big as my hand each. Wonder why they serve in the portions they do. These don't come with fries so that is an add on if you want them. Also, for the size of these wings they give you 3 crappy pieces of celery and 1 mini cup of blue cheese. They charge for more. A rip off if you ask me. Our friends show up and it took the waitress a while to come back to our table. Ans mind you, this place was empty. Wait staff sat around a table texting and talking. So no, they were not busy. At this point, I probably won't go back until I see some reviews improve. The young minded staff and the tech savvy generation need to understand what a "job" is. I don't care that this is a hang out bar, etc. You still have a service to provide and you need to do it in a timely manner and with a smile on your face. The managers were even young so I know they don't understand it either. Need to shape up, fast. because if the biggest bar/restaurant in The Battery can't get it together, then its going to be a dry cash register for this place.

We loved this bar. The food was great and the beer was cold. We loved the big screen TV and watched a game there and felt like we were in the stands. Service was awesome. We will return

Fun

Fun atmosphere, family friendly & great service. Close to the ball field and perfect for pre-game fun. Things for kids to do so adults can enjoy.

It's all fun and games!

Great, fun, family-friendly atmosphere! The brisket burger was tasty. We enjoyed playing "water pong" and skeeball. They had tons of games for kids and adults. The huge wall of TVs would be a great place to catch a game. The restaurant connects to PBR upstairs (21 and up). The boys tried out the bull riding and enjoyed the wrap around porch. We are excited to go back in the colder weather to enjoy the fire tables on the deck.

Great entertainment with OK food

By Joe L |

Came here with a business peer for lunch after hearing so much about this venue. I guess if you are coming here to see a game and drink with friends you might have a better result. The lunch options seemed limited and the sandwiches we ordered were underwhelming. Better options for lunch at other restaurants in The Battery. Will give it another try on a Saturday afternoon for a college football game down the road.

Considering for a Large Party

By Amanda H |

I’m in town trying to find a location for a large (100-150 people) party in June. Joanna talked to me about all the restaurants in the area they are affiliated with. I came back later and ate here. Drinks and food were great. TV is amazing, get there early if you want a view as that area fills up quick.

Game day place to be

By Kim N |

The atmosphere was great, many tv's to watch all the action. I loved the lounge area as well. The upstairs outdoor patio was reserved prior to the Braves game on our visit so that sucked. However the food was good and timely. Prices were a bit high but the cheeseburger, fries and side salad was good. Highly recommend the ginger vinaigrette dressing. A must see place before any game. Many bars in the one establishment.

As Expected

By Susan C |

Went here for a get together with my husband’s work gathering to watch the championship game. Very loud because it was very crowded. Surprisingly good bar food and service was slow but It was crowded. If you like bar food and you want to watch a game then this would be a good place for you .

A Great Place to be

I would go here even if I was not going to the game. Prices are 1/2 of inside the park. Lots of outdoor seating. Lots of TV's inside.

Great bar food, Needs more craft beer

By TravellingMoose1979 |

I was here for a business dinner and we had a great time. The atmosphere was lively and the TV was insanely huge. The appetizers were great bar food...not just greasy, but good quality food. The beer selection was ok, but you would think with ATL being a craft brew hot spot that you would have a few more options on tap. Overall good Battery addition, and I see myself coming back at some point.

Ok

By Elizabeth D |

This place is at The Battery at Suntrust Park. I do know they recently opened. The service was very slow, thinking they should have more servers on game days. Food came out fast. We ordered chicken nachos they were very good with the exception of the chicken it had so much cumin in it. The cooks need to taste their food because no one needs that much cumin in anything. We are around the chicken because the rest of the nachos were great. Maybe they will get up to speed with the service soon.

Food was OK, half of it

By Ed-Lo98 |

my sandwich was ok, but my wife did not like her burger, it was cold. Not busy, but our food took a while to get out. But a $9 drink and it had no taste.

Great Bar

After a Cubs game. Came here. Great bar. Couldn't believe the size of the flat screen on the wall. Crazy huge. Place was mobbed. Staff did a great job of getting our drinks. Try it after a game.

Eh

We went before a Braves game. I wasn’t too hungry myself so I ordered an appetizer of pork taco-itos which was about 8 bite size tacos. I enjoyed them. My husband ordered Chicken Fried steak and it looked like a pile of poop on top of fries. He said the meat was fine but he didn’t care for the sausage gravy covering it. My son ordered the classic cheeseburger and it was very mediocre quality wise. I question if it wasn’t in fact a soy burger. It definitely wasn’t a fresh beef patty. Service was ok though they didn’t seem to be too worried about turning tables. The waitress didn’t bring us a check until 10 minutes after we finished eating. Atmosphere was fun and inviting.

Great atmosphere

We were checking out the Battery area around the Stadium and happened across this place and had a great time. Staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't eat but the food looked great.

Great pre game spot

By yorosey |

Great location, great atmosphere and good food. We had some time to kill so figured we Seoul’s go eat and hang out near park before game. This looked the best and it was. Many drinks, much fun and good eats were had.

We had a great experience/fun atmosphere

We got to the battery around 5. Put our name on a wait list at Sports and Social to get dinner. The wait was 30 minutes - we went to Terrapin for a couple of drinks while we waited w/our wait buzzer. It took a few minutes to get seated once we checked back in. We were fortunate to get a table just outside, out of the sun. It was perfect. We ordered (nachos grande w/ chicken, BBQ chix wrap, southern chicken sandwich & Guac burger, beers & a mixed drink) soon after we sat down. The food came out very quickly and it was good. Brianna was our server. There was a survey on our receipt to complete for a comp appetizer on your next visit but the website wasn't valid. We would return. No issues at all and much better than you would expect.Terrapin chop draft $7, well gin & tonic $6.

Good hang out

By Sidriver |

We didn’t have anything to eat, just drinks, but it was a cool place to hang out for a while, watch a game on their gigantic screen and to play ping pong nd other table games.

Date Night Game Time at Sports and Social

By Amanda H |

This was our first time visiting The Battery at Suntrust Park and we decided to have dinner, drinks and watch the game at Sports & Social. The service was great. Our server was very attentive. The food and drinks were great and there were so many big screen TVs to watch the game on. The atmosphere was great for families and a fun Friday date night.

Great Place to see Nfl games

By rob g |

Plenty of screens, good food can be pricey Burgers $15 Wings $12 but they taste great and are large. Also they have a Thursday lunch special from 11-3. Haven't been there other than game days(mon thurs sat) to tell about week night atmosphere Parking is free for 4 hrs....

Good for Families During the Day

By Bonnie C |

At night, the place can get wild, but during lunch, especially on weekdays, it's a fun place for children and provides a kids' menu. The children enjoy watching sports on TV, and although the service was extremely slow, it was very friendly. We appreciated not feeling rushed and being able to take a break."

Meh

By Brenda Dutton |

This place was just... meh. The sandwich I got, the BELT”, had the potential to be delicious - the menu said it featured smoked pork belly, an egg sunny-side-up, and a pickled fried green tomato. But in reality, the toppings were skimpy and there really wasn't much pork belly to be found. The fries were decent, just typical fries. Our waitress was not the friendliest person I've ever met, either. If you're going to a Braves game, it's a fine place to stop in and get some AC, but if you're looking for really good bar/pub food, I'd try somewhere else. Want to see even more delicious food? Great Atmosphere, Service and Food.

By Michael V |

I had previously attended a meeting here. This restaurant is part of the Battery at Sun Trust Park. It is a very large venue - big screen TV's, a outside area, an electric bull - they have it all. The staff here is great - very in tune with the customer. I was there for a dinner meeting - my server Mariam Diallo was great - very knowledgeable and wanted to make sure I had a great experience. They also have an area for holiday parties. I ordered a unsweet tea, and the grilled chicken caesar salad. The portions are large - it was one of the best Caesar salads I have ever had. The park offers free parking for the first four hours. This is an experience the Battery was decorated for the holidays. They did a great job here with the food, bars and shopping - also easy in and out from I-285. Take the time to visit this restaurant - it will be time well spent.

Great vibe, just don’t eat

By Da-juiceman |

This energetic and raucous sports bar takes the viewing game to the next level. When the Braves made a great play or homered, I felt like I was inside Truist, whose gates are conveniently only 100 feet away. Food, however, was extremely disappointing. My bland tacos had a very small amount of underseasoned pork belly, wrapped in extra thick doughy tortillas. My son’s Chicken (burnt and dry) and Waffles (soggy and overpoweringly sweet) were also left stranded on the plate. I would come back with friends for the game, but would stick with the beer menu.

Poor service, kitchen backed up

By mrmartyv |

Apparently the kitchen was overwhelmed and what should take 15-20 minutes took an hour. We spoke with the manager and she apologized, but we left before the food arrived. It would have been another 15 minutes. Poor planning on their part. It was a baseball day and they did not plan accordingly.

Sports Bar & Pub!

By katork |

Definitely a place for groups to watch the many tv's, but it is hard to have conversations. The food was ok, but not much I really liked. Service was meh- neither great, but not awful. It is great for families as kids have small bikes to ride around, and other activities for the older guys. Must be crazy on game days!

This place has really fallen off

By Jzl07fsu |

Pros: pretty good menu, huge TV, can watch multiple games at once, full bar, great location Cons: service, competence, food quality, portion control, parking, noise levels & cleanliness Highlights from our experience: Hosts: let us know our wait would be long and that we had 5 minutes to arrive back at the desk or they would give our spot away. When we claimed our table, they asked if everyone would be eating and acted like we couldn’t get our table if not (things we should’ve been told before waiting 45 minutes) Service: We waited 32 minutes before we were ever greeted. Never had a server proactively come to us, only when she was flagged down. Most tables around us were empty. Our server asked when we sat down how we wanted to divide checks but when it came time to deliver checks she had put it all on one because she couldn’t remember how we wanted things split. Bathrooms: the hostess was walking out of the bathroom as I was walking in. She held the door for me as she exited. I walked in to find toilet paper on the floors, water all over the counters, unflushed toilets. Maybe she was leaving to tell the person that is responsible for bathroom cleanliness, but it didn’t seem like she took any pride in the place. TVs: The bar is obviously in Atlanta & we were there for a Falcons game. They repeatedly changed the channel to the red zone during the game and we missed several points get scored. They also had a freeze towards the end of the game so we watched the last 2 minutes of the game on the small surrounding TVs while the main one was frozen. Staff: At any given time, you could see more staff standing around & watching the games instead of working. Tables remained empty and dirty. Really disappointing to see how much this place has fallen off. Used to be the best sports bar in town.
