I went to lunch by myself while my boyfriend is attending a conference. I was cordially greeted and they let me select my table. My waitress was Tai and she promptly arrived, took my drink order then returned for my meal order. The menue had an ok selection. I got the Bacon bbq burger with sauce on the side because I prefer mustard on my burgers. It was OMGoodness good. I dipped my perfect fries in the side bbq sauce. Very tasty. We have been here 3 days and Tai gave me the best service yet.

We had the breakfast buffet during out stay and it was incredible. Amazing selection of every breakfast food you want. Staff was great!!

Valet guy parked at curb I was entering parking lot he honked and drove off as he was driving away staring at me with a death stare. I walked up to see him at valet booth and told him great customer service, he followed me in yelling at me saying there were families walking and he was going to call security. I told him to go ahead, when his co worker came and stopped him from yelling and following me , he said F That B !

Our server Tai was very pleasant and attentive refilling our coffee & Orange Juice. The food was great, made to order omelets, waffles, salmon & capers on a bagel, smoked trout, crispy bacon, grilled asparagus, and so much more.

Extensive breakfast buffet for a really hungry traveller. everything one would expect, from yogurt, fruit, cereal, bakery, eggs, meats, omelet station, etc. expensive.

Wanted to shoutout Kathy from To Go/ Room Service for her great attention to detail with my order. She made sure to include all of my requested condiments and even tossed in some extras. My chicken sandwich and fries were delivered promptly to my room and overall it was a good experience.

The staff in the morning was amazing and very helpful. The food was fresh and they made the waffles to order if you wanted them warm. I liked that they had multiple protein options and different types of fruit.

Love this buffet so much. Been coming to this hotel for about 20 years. It is expensive at $28, but very high quality. A lot of local food choices. Wait staff is awesome. Excellent smoked meats and fish. Yogurts and smoothies delicious as well as the omelets.

Good food and a lot of different choices. Kids had a lot of choices too. A little overpriced but it's great in a pinch.

Sometimes you are served by someone that really enjoys what they do and is really good at it too. Thanks Sami — friendly, caring service, and a great meal. Well-stocked buffet, with fresh salads, shrimp, and charcuterie fixins to start. Then, three tasty entrees, salmon, chicken, and short ribs, with great variety of desserts. Off the menu choices were all well-received, with large portions. Tasty coffee too! Sat outside on a pleasant Texas evening. Thanks again Sami.

They had prime rib listed on their buffet menu, and we did try some. I found some of the prime rib was a bit over cooked, but the medium rare slices were very good. The buffet included some cheeses; a number of salads; nice selection of vegetables including baked and sweet potatoes; salmon; boiled shrimp and shrimp ceviche (very spicy and delicious); chicken, etc. Their selection of desserts was extensive. Pumpkin cheesecake and Panna cotta were good, but the vanilla layer cake was not particularly good and two of us only tasted small bites of that. $25 each for the buffet was a reasonable charge, since there was plenty to choose from. Our server was very efficient. The dining room was not crowded, so it was a good spot for us to visit during dinner.

Since this was only restaurant open we had to eat all our meals there except for poolside grill! Breakfast was buffet or order off menu. We had buffet every morning & it was excellent! Dinner was good but limited menu! Definitely need more variety & less spicy! We loved the corn soup! Had it every meal! The service was great though!

I loved this restaurant...The food was great.. I cannot say enough about the staff though.. Bund, Betania, and Juan made my visits more special and they always remembered the smallest of details of my previous visits. I had my 4 month old grandson with me and they were so helpful when I was dining with him by myself. They truly are an asset and should be recognized as such... Everyone always had such a smile on their face...

The dinner buffet at the Springhouse Cafe in the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort is something that you don't want to miss. The current adult price is $32 but it includes a plethora of items from salads, meat & cheese platters, bisque, cold shrimp, hot Meat entrees, cold and hot veggies, side dishes, rolls, kid food (chicken nuggets-pizza rolls-mini corny dogs), a baked potatoe bar and nacho bar along with a variety of desserts and bottomless non-alcoholic drinks. Kids are priced by age and defintely have a good variety to choose from. We plan for this feast everytime we stay at this hotel and have never regretted it. Check it out!

The breakfast buffet is $21.00 but does feature a lot of items. We have other dishes off of the menu like the breakfast tacos which were prepared well. Good salsa.

The breakfast buffet is absolutely fantastic. Trudi has been serving us for over seven years. Once she sees us, she automatically brings out over beverages. She always remembers to tell my youngest happy birthday! The food is great. The service is great. You definitely will leave stuffed.

I loved the bagel and smoked salmon, but it was twice as much as I needed. The steel cut oats were pretty good as well, maybe a little over cooked.

I ate here with some coworkers while at the resort for a conference. We ate outside during dinner service since the weather was nice. We ordered the biscuit board appetizer for the table and it was really good. For my dinner, I ordered the chicken fried chicken, which comes with mashed potatoes and market vegetables (happened to be green beans on this day). The chicken was moist and flavorful, and the sides were great too. Our server was pleasant and attentive. This was one of the better dining experiences I’ve had at a “hotel restaurant”.

This is the main casual restaurant at the Resort. While there is a menu for specific entrees, we have found that it is more efficient to do the buffet. The buffet is varied and always has meat, chicken, and fish choices. Good vegetable dishes, there always is at least one specially prepared with a twist. Large salad bar, at least one soup. Waitstaff is somewhat sparse, but there are familiar faces year after year. Decent wine selection. Overall a little pricey but worth it.

The Springhouse cafe has two options, you can order from a menu or eat buffet style. We ate here while staying here with our 3 granddaughters (7,5&2). Breakfast is awesome. Something for all of our picky eaters. Dinners had something for everyone, smoked ribs and chicken, grilled salmon, great fresh salads with shrimp cocktails. If you’re staying here there’s no need to leave the hotel and find a place to eat.

The food at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort is pricey, period. At Springhouse Cafe, the evening dinner buffet is discounted if you arrive before 6 p.m. ($28 per person when we were there). Children 15 and under are charged for the buffet based on their age - 7 years old pays $7 for all-you-can-eat buffet. Good food and great service.

Great food at any time of the day. Selection of food items was adequate and staff was very accommodating. They also made great suggestions!

They have a buffet, but it's not advertised on the menu, but from what I understand the adults are quite pricey and the kids eat for dirt cheap. I ordered the burger and fries ($15) and my three kids ate off the kids menu for $7.95 with basically the same amount of food. The burger was good, but not sure why the price gouging is necessary. Wait staff was nice, but service was slow.

Very large buffet , a little pricey but well worth it if you have kids . There is a lot of choices that will make everyone happy

We decided to get out to the Hyatt Hill Country Resort since they have very low numbers right now as they open up and they are very meticulous with their precautions. The downside is that the restaurants are not open or are opening slowly. Right now, breakfast is the only option at the Springhouse Cafe. They have a simple menu, but some nice choices. I've gone with the Omelet both mornings. You can choose your ingredients and with hash browns and a bread on the side. I went with the English Muffin. It's a hearty Omelet, good taste but comes at a resort price. But, I found it to be filling and it allowed us to go to twice-a-day meals. If you want to request a server, ask for Bung. She is really attentive.

This is the dining room where you're probably going to be doing a lot of your eating. The menu is very standard American, and buffet options are the feature. Food is fresh and hot, very good. The services quality is also excellent, and the dining room decor is pleasant enough for an in-and-out kind of meal.

My family and I stayed a weekend at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort while I attended a conference. For dinner, we decided to eat at the Springhouse Café. Our server, though very pleasant and wanting to do a good job, didn't seem to be trained very well and had limited knowledge of the menu. We had an appetizer but then waited over 45 minutes to get our meal and I had plenty of time to observe the rest of the servers in our area. It seemed a bit chaotic and the restaurant wasn't even full. But... the food was absolutely wonderful and delicious! I had a ribeye steak, cooked a perfect medium rare. It was one of the best I've ever eaten. My son had the ribs and they were cooked perfectly as well. The sides were excellent as well. Our compliments to the Chef and kitchen staff.

Excellent service at the dinner and breakfast buffet. There were lots of choices for both meals. I was happy with the quality.

We had a party of ten for the breakfast buffet. I told the manager that we were going to go out for pancakes but if they could offer us fresh, hot pancakes, not some cooked earlier and kept warm on a steam table that we would love to eat here. I'm glad we did. The pancakes are made to order at the omelette bar (along with omelettes of course.) We were promptly seated and had drink orders taken. The pancakes were indeed fresh and delicious. The rest of the food was standard buffet fare, kept fresh and not stale. Nothing really stood out, but it was all good. The biscuits not so good, but everything else was fine. The service was very good with our dirty plates cleared and drinks always freshened. The mango smoothies were particularly good!

We ate here when staying at the Hyatt resort and were shocked at the high quality of the food. They are on limited menu and it's a casual (bare bones because of COVID) restaurant so our expectations were exceeded when we ordered the salmon and chicken dishes - best salmon and cheddar potatoes ever! Great service too!

The is one of the restaurants located at Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort. We enjoyed their dinner buffet. The buffet changes daily.

We had a quick lunch before heading to the airport. I ordered the fish tacos and they were fresh, delicious and different from what I am accustomed to. The fish of the day was mahi and the soft corn tortilla's were fresh and warm. The taco was layered with fresh shredded cabbage, a slice of avocado and cilantro. I added fresh lime but chose not to add either of the sauces. My husband had the beef fajita's which were served with all the usual accompaniments and could not finish it all. Our waitress was from Costa Rica and was wonderful.

I had breakfast here every day during my stay. The breakfast buffet is extraordinary. From the jalapeño sausage, to the biscuits & gravy! The staff is super friendly and really went out of there way to make me feel special!

Great buffet, although incredibly overpriced breakfast. Dinner is good, but selections don't seem to change much.

Great family friendly restaurant. We stayed at the resort 5 days and ate here multiple times for breakfast and dinner. The food was always good but the service was very inconsistent. One night it was top notch service, the next we waiting nearly two hours for two salads and two kids meals. Prices are definitely on high end but you pay for the convenience of staying and dining at the resort.

The buffet seems pricy - $25 adult/$7 child, but it is well worth it. Includes drinks. I can't say enough about the food quality. Fruit was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Blackberries had that perfect tangy taste. There was fruit salad, berries, yogurt with fruit, cottage cheese with fruit. There was a whole area of dried meats, smoked fish and cheese. Nitrate-free bacon was delicious. Other meats varied by day - turkey sausage, jalapeño sausage. Scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, omelet station. Waffle station, tons of pastries, bagels, oatmeal, grits. Everything was cooked to perfection. Wait staff was friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean. Pleasant environment to meet up in the morning and leisurely start the day.

food was very good. good assortment of food including many items for the kids. you can also order off the menu

It's a nice restaurant I went to (twice) with some friends during a conference that took place at the hotel. I really liked the Burger, the personell was very nice and friendly. They have a big buffet, american style.

We ate here twice. Nice breakfast buffet. I had great fajitas for dinner. They were delicious. Our server, Jesse, was over the top hospitable.

We stayed here many times and the breakfast selection and service has consistently been excellent. We have never been disappointed. Ken is a great manager who comes around asking how things are. Great buffett breakfast in San Antonio!

We ate here once for dinner from the buffet and for lunch from the menu. The food was good. Regarding the buffet, it wasn't as hot as I would prefer and plates, even salad plates, were hot. There were many choices. Menu lunch - very reasonably priced. I ordered the 1/2 salad and 1/2 club. I am not a foodie, and am quite picky. My salad was served with flowers that are supposedly edible. Those could have been left off. However, it was good. Service at both meals was great! Servers were friendly and attentive and management seemed genuinely interested.

Had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and during our stay here we dined at the restaurant for breakfast. Our visit here was during the week during late morning, and the restaurant was not very busy, several tables were open. The restaurant offers a buffet style breakfast, or upon request they have a breakfast menu where you can order specific plates that are not at the buffet. After looking at the menu, we decided to do the buffet. The buffet had a wide array of food, and also beverages, from mango smoothies to juices like cranberry and orange juice. I also liked the fact that the restaurant had a staff member who prepared omelets at your request, adding any ingredients you wanted. In addition, there was a location where you can make your own waffles, and even add chocolate chips or other ingredients to them! As for service, our waiter was not very attentive, visited our table twice, only to greet and bring the check. We were wanting the check and had to signal him to visit our table. Overall, the buffet was good, for 20+ a person for the breakfast buffet, I will take my 20.00 and go somewhere else near the resort.

The Springhouse Cafe has everything you could want for breakfast. You can enjoy your breakfast indoor or outdoor. Best advice is get there before 10 or you might have to wait a bit.

Service wasn't that grand. We ate there twice and both times service wasn't good and waitress wasn't friendly at all.

Good food and service. Good selections on menu and buffet. Their prices are very high so breakfast is the only meal we eat on property.

Friday Night Fajitas. Had dinner here on a Friday night while staying at the Hyatt. The selection was not that bad for a hotel in COVID. There was also a child buffet which was welcomed. Only disappointing part was the beverage service, small water glasses and we only had one refill. Other than that will go back.

Ate here 2 days in a row. Menu varied, buffet style was great with salad, fruit, main course, & desert for about $15.

Something happened to the kitchen which caused it to shut down for emergency repairs. They had a buffet that was overpriced especially for someone who only is able to eat a small portion. The buffet items were tasty but is not something that I would have voluntarily selected to eat.

Never experienced an waffle bar before, but Springhouse Cafe has one. From the standard strawberries and whipped cream to mini chocolate chips, chopped walnuts, etc. This one has it all. Made to order omelets with a nice variety of fresh ingredients. Service was superb.

We arrived 30 minutes prior to closing for lunch and the restaurant was almost empty. It is a huge space which I am sure it is full during prime dining hours. We had a lovely waitress who was a foreign exchange intern - very nice and friendly. She recommended the Short Rib sandwich and she was right - it was excellent. It also came with side options so I selected a green salad verses fruit or chips. The sandwich was so large I took the other half home and it was good again reheated for dinner that night!

The Buffett is pretty good, or you can order from the menu, although not a huge menu selection. A detail cleaning is needed.

Stayed here at the resort. Had a great dinner here with the family. Great selections and wonderful service.

Ate here after work today 28 June. Good service and food. I had the mango fish tacos with redfish. Very tasty and high quality. Rice was over cooked. Everyone else had a variety of meals from wings to ribeye steaks. All looked good. Drinks were ok. Not sure i would make a side trip or arrange a business dinner here, but that buffet looked choice for a family visit.

We ate here when we go to the hotel to wait until our room was ready for check in. We were not disappointed! The mango fish tacos were delicious! My husband and I ordered an appetizer of chips and salsa, and when it came it could feed 4 people! The portions are very generous and I felt very guilty leaving so much guacamole behind but I was full!

We typically do not like buffets but found this one to be reasonably priced and full of fresh good food. Both the breakfast and the dinner choices were great.

We had breakfast off of the menu as well as the breakfast buffet. They offered many options on the buffet and everything tasted wonderful. I would highly recommend it. However the buffet seemed very expensive for breakfast.

Went for dinner here with my family. Decided to try something different and as this was on the grounds of the Hyatt Hill Country Resort, we thought it would be good. First, greeting from the staff was great. Hostess sat us right away and showed us all around the buffet so we could see what they had before they even seated it us. The food was exceptional! Prime rib was great. Everything was wonderfully presented and so good. But what made our visit exceptional was the service we got from Sabrina. She was outstanding! A big shout out also to Keith, who I think is a manager--so friendly and made sure that we were well taken care of. Will definitely go back but perhaps this time for the breakfast!

We ate dinner here because Antlers was closed. The dinner was just okay. We also had breakfast the next day and it was very good. The staff was very friendly for both meals. Limited menu. Very laid back.

Ask for Bung as your waitress. She has been there 16 years and will spoil you. Dorothy will greet you at the entrance and is a gem.

We had lunch here one day and dinner a different day. When we ordered off the menu we had a wonderful meal. We got the hummus and split the fish tacos. It was fresh, delicious and good value. We tried the BBQ buffet for dinner one evening and I was not impressed. The BBQ was tough and the desserts seemed pre-made/frozen and were not very tasty. The margarita was awful- I hate mixes rather than using fresh lime juice which I would have expected at this quality resort. I did not think the buffet was worth 26.00/person for the quality of food offered.

This place was amazing. We ate there for breakfast and dinner. It was bbq night and it didn't disappoint.

My husband and I ate there tonight. We both agreed the wedge salad was great. However, we both ordered Shrimp and Grits. There were 4 shrimp and about 3 spoons of cheese grits. It also included a few chunks of ham that had a strange taste and were riddled with hunks of fat. I reported this to the waiter. In a little while, he came out with a little bowl that contained more chunks of the same ham. Not sure why anyone would rate this restaurant 4.5 stars! Very disappointing!

Had breakfast here and was very impressed with the service and the food! The buffet is wonderful and the cinnamon rolls divine.

Great variety at the buffets and the staff was awesome. They offered to let us take food for our little ones and remembered their names after just one visit. The gentleman behind the omelet station (sorry I can't remember your name) was talkative and friendly and looked like he was genuinely enjoying himself.

We ate here one night during our stay. The buffet was $25 a person. The food was good and there was a large variety of choices. The desserts were mostly very pleasing to the eye but bland to the palate.

Had breakfast here our 1st morning. After looking at the menu, we found that eggs and grits would run close to 21.00. We decided on the buffet. Buffet for 2 ran 45.00. Omelets, pancakes, French toast available as well as a more European breakfast bar. Did a carry out on a cheese quesadilla. Ran roughly 10.00, but was full enough for 2 of us.

Breakfast can be either the buffet or from the menu. Well prepared food at a reasonable price. Lunch is also a good option.

Came here for breakfast and came back for dinner. Staff are great, and food is on spot. Try the Signature Mac & Cheese, it's basically burnt ends, shoestring onion rings, and Mac & cheese.

This is pretty much the place for families (with young ones) to eat. We ate here two nights for dinner. Generally food was good. Some items were very good, especially their mashed potatoes. Little ones eat for free and there is a reduced price for 5-12. You can also order off a menu. It took a bit longer than we wished for to get those orders. Small ones are ready to go once they've tanked up.

Fantastic service and amazing homemade food!! Try the brisket tacos!!We loved everything we had will come back again!!
Tasty and Great Service; Buffet if you are Hungry!
We are here for dinner one evening during our stay . Dinner was bustling with families. This is mostly a buffet. It appeared to have many choices. However, we early due buffets. Therefore we chose the a la Cartel menu which was limited. We both chose bowls of soup. They were good proportions. I had A Briisquit Onion Soup which was very filling and tasty. My husband ordered Tortilla Soup, a San Antonio favorite. However, it was very different from the typical recipe and served without tortillas! Our waiters were attentive, personable and polite. We came back for breakfast, but we were late and they were switching over to lunch. Again, we chose to eat off menu. Our lunch was tasty and our waitress very good. The buffet looked very good again with lots of choice.
