Breakfast was good here with plenty of choices. Had the continental which came with a large bowl of fruit along with their own made jam. My husband had the avacodo toast which was wonderful.

We were here on a Friday night and at first weren't sure of the atmosphere. It seemed more like a hotel lobby bar. But once we saw the open kitchen and when the food started coming out we didn't care what the atmosphere was like. Delicious food, beautifully prepared and presented. We enjoyed the deviled eggs and the duck confit appetizers; my husband liked the pork chop while I enjoyed the mushroom tart for our entrees. I would recommend. Nice service as well.

It was an enjoyable birthday day dinner with my wife and close friends. Casual attire, relaxing atmosphere and a very nice menu to pick from. Angela was our server and was very attentive.

While staying at the Hotel Palomar, we chose to eat breakfast at Square 1682. After eating their first morning, we chose to eat their each morning after that! We found the menu to have quite the variety while not being too large. The "omelette" of the day was always ordered by someone in our group and it was excellent every time. Being from Southern California, the ladies all liked that they could get their "green Juice" away from home. I highly recommend the breakfast/brunch menu. You will not be disappointed!

We dined here for brunch and not only was the food really good but the portions were large as well. Service was a little slow but overall it was a good experience. We’ll definitely be back!

We had dinner at Square 1682 this past week on our visit to Philadelphia. We stayed at the Hotel Palomar, so the restaurant was convenient and being the Monday after New Year's day, not very busy. We're always concerned with hotel restaurants, but have to say we were totally happy with our meals. We started with a very tasty Burrata and a bottle of Prosecco. Our entrees were NY Steak, Branzino, Rack of Lamb, and short rib. We were all impressed by the quality of food and have to say each was prepated to perfection. We finished with sorbet/gelato, the perfect ending. I don't know how they do on busy nights, but our waiter was absolutely great, making good suggestions, and very attentive throughout. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

My adult daughters and I stayed at the hotel (wonderful) and decided to stay in for drinks and dinner. Fabulous choice!! All staff is friendly and helpful and the food is Fresh with wonderful combinations of flavors and well presented!

My fiancé and I were staying at the Kimpton Palomar that is attached to Square 1682. The restaurant was so convenient that we at here twice. We dined inside for dinner and it was delicious! We shared a few items, the Surf & Turf, along with the Spring Gnocchi which was filled with veggies. Everything tasted super fresh and the prices were affordable! We also loved the modern vibe of the interior decor. The next morning we ordered room service to our room from Square 1682. We got the BLT and Avocado toast. Highly recommend for breakfast!

After a long day I went downstairs to this hotel restaurant. I asked the waitress for advice on the Swordfish and she said it was great. It was AWFUL. Hard, smelled and microwave hot. Served on a bed of salad. Horrible. Service also terrible. Very loud. They did comp me for the meal though. Least they could do.

Sebastian is an excellent bartender! Great bloody Mary's! I'd go back in a heartbeat, great food, great drinks, great service

The atmosphere of this restaurant is very good as was the service. I had the shrimp and grits and unfortunately the grits were gooey. I should not have ordered grits above the Mason Dixon line so that one is on me. Everyone else loved their dinner

Wandered in sampling some local bars, Alex immediately made me feel right at home, offered great descriptions of the cocktail menu, was fast and attentive. After trying a few very interesting and very good cocktails, I ended the trip after he made one of the greatest Old Fashioned’s I’ve ever had! We often stay at the Sofitel across the street and we enjoy their bar, Liberte, most times… now we’ll definitely be certain to take the stroll across the street and see Alex at Square 1682 every time!

Great service , attentive but not too attentive. Good suggestion on the wine. All the food was extremely good.

My wife & I were in Philly for the weekend and on Sunday (Sep 16) decided to have breakfast here. The receptionist was super nice. The waiter a bit distracted (more interested in chatting with receptionist) so we when we saw our food sitting on the counter we had to call his attention to it. My wife ordered 2 eggs, toast, potatoes. I asked for the buscuit w scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes. The misleading part was that coffee was extra, juice was extra so what seemed a reasonable price when we checked the window menu in reality became overpriced. On top of that the potatoes were cold, my biscuit had probably been re-heated several times because it was stiff and also cold. Bacon also felt like had been re-heated a few times prior: cold, hard (not crispy) and sad looking. My wife liked her eggs and toast. Charging for coffee & juice separately on a breakfast menu without a clear indication felt like we were cheated on. Paying $25.00 for each of these orders (coffee & juice included) feels like overpriced, especially for a regular place. I don’t recommend. There are many other breakfast/brunch places around Rittenhouse Sq in Philly. Square 1682 is one to avoid.

Will the bartender provided excellent service and made us some innovative drinks. He had us laughing during the entire experience as well

I went here with a colleague on a Wednesday lunchtime. It wasn't too busy, though it picked up while we were there. The menu was somewhat limited and the portion sizes were modest. All the same, the food was well presented and delicious. Service was good without being overbearing. I will certainly go here again.

My husband and I went on a double date here on a recommendation of a friend and we are SO glad we did. The restaurant was cozy and warm while still being able to watch passerbys on the street. The waitstaff was overly accommodating and very friendly and helped us choose appetizers. Speaking of which - we got the cheese board and the mussels - WOW!!!!! The mussels were out of this world!!! And the cheese pairings were incredible. For dinner I had the steak which I’d highly recommend. It was tender and flavorful and the bernaise sauce was perfect. It was an overall amazing experience and I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a quality meal with a great atmosphere.

I consider fine service to be when the waitperson makes you feel special. Our service started out this way but unfortunately devolved. Our food was consistently FAIR at best. The highlight of our night were the hostesses. We don't plan on returning!

Sebastian was super attentive and friendly throughout our lunch- will be stopping by soon! Good drinks, food and TVs for the games

I only wound up in here as all the places I had wanted to visit were full, but it was no disappointment. The menu is simple, with what I would describe as a Mediterranean twist. No complaints.

This is a fantastic location to enjoy a nice brunch and relax with the lovely staff. As a Canadian far from the 6IX, Cindy and Sonya made me feel right at home! A+ on the ginlet and espresso martini made by each of them. Highly recommend!

Excellent quality cocktails, Kaitlyn was very knowledgeable and made perfect recommendations! I would definitely go back

I had the same thing three days in a row, the oatmeal with chia, topped with a bit of maple syrup, a green juice & a latte. The green juice was made a few feet away & was both healthy & good but the oatmeal was truly delicious! Service was fast & friendly. The staff is well trained, personable & remembered what I like to eat from day to day.

The restaurant is adjacent to the Palomar hotel and has a style of a classic city bar and restaurant. A modern narrow space with attractive dining tables and outdoor street seating as well. The menu has some creative choices and our salmon and strip steak dinners were good along with the wine and desert. An appetizer the “malted curly fries” are to die for, they were totally yummy. Our server was very good, and we had a wonderful visit.

We stayed at Kimpton Palomar, so we decided to have brunch here. So glad we did! The service was excellent and made sure we had everything we needed. They offer great savory and sweet options--I had the pancakes which were immaculate. The atmosphere is also perfect for a laid-back brunch!

Nice location in hotel block, very walkable area and crowd friendly. Attentive servers, nice menu with mix of traditional and creative brunch foods. The Champaign mimosa was very good, as was the French toast, and sweet potato hash. Only drawbacks were that the coffee wasn’t the best around, and the bathroom situation was odd, but it must have been connected to the hotel.

This place serves amazing food and drinks at an excellent price. Great menu. Great bartenders and servers. A must try in the Rittenhouse Square area.

Surely the Happy Hour is the greatest of all US inventions!! I met someone here and we had drinks and shared a lovely burger and winter salad. I wanted Brussel sprouts but my guest had an aversion to them!! The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was cosy and nice. Going back tonight :)

The entrees available at this location are absolutely amazing and the service is even better - so friendly and accommodating. During our three day stay at the Kimpton Palomar, we dined here three times (it was that good).

solid food and good drinks. Sebastian was super friendly and accommodating. Would definitely come back with other friends in the future

Really had a great dinner here! Only negative aspect is that the seating is all up on high chairs ( a bar setting), comfy ones, but high or around cocktail tables. It is definitely set up like a hotel restaurant, but it was a surprisingly delightful restaurant. The service here is impeccable. The food is refreshing and feels good to eat. You feel like you are eating healthy. There are very good menu options for everyone ( vegetarian, gluten free, allergies - the menu is very descriptive). We ate earlier than they normally have dinner service, but we were staying at the Palomar and were able to arrange our meal ahead of time. They were extremely catering and helpful. They got us off to our evening flight without a hitch. The cocktails other people were having looked delicious, and people were commenting on how good they were.

The food was average rather than exceptional and certainly not worth waiting an hour for starters and another half hour for mains, especially in an environment where conversation was virtually impossible. Staff were not rude but rather indifferent, and the large screen all sport channel did not enhance the dining experience. The room is large enough to be a vibrant bar or a fine dining restaurant, but not both.

We noticed this place across the street from the Sofitel where we were staying and decided to have breakfast here. We were sat at the top tables near the window and although the chairs were comfortable I would have preferred to sit at a normal table to have my breakfast, rather then have my feet dangling in the air and not reaching the ground. I decided not to make it difficult for the server and ordered the breakfast, 2 different types of eggs cooked for us, plus juice. Everything came in pretty fast and noticed, as we left that the place became a bit busier. The place also looks like a great place to have drinks in the evening, so I am sure, having the right prices, it will be very busy with both locals and tourists.

I hope I just caught this place on a bad morning, but what was once one of my favorite spots was way off. Tables needing to be cleared, disinterested and occasionally angry staff made for an unpleasant and disappointing experience. Please figure out how to get back on track.

Overpriced hotel food. Bought hamburger; did not know it came with fries (menu fails to disclose) so ordered fries. Had to pay extra for something if they disclosed I would not have purchased. Do not eat here!

We're staying at the Palomar hotel which has not been the best experience. However the breakfasts have been great. Had the standard scrambled eggs, bacon, roasted potatoes and toast. The eggs were hot, fluffy, buttery, the bacon, 4 pieces, were crisp and flavorful, the potatoes, again hot, crunchy on the outside and soft inside. They had homemade blueberry jam for the toast. Service was fast and friendly. Price was probably commiserate with a fancy hotel. Would recommend.

My family and I arrived at Square, around 8:40 pm. We were pleasantly greeted and seated promptly. Our service was exceptional. We enjoyed great drinks, and amazing food. Our server even accommodated my small child who is a very picky eater. My co worker suggested this place to me, however I will not return. One of the males in the kitchen was extremely rude to his co workers and manger. Screaming the F bomb, slamming plates and startling the entire establishment. My family happened to be sitting particularly close to the exposed kitchen. Hearing and witnessing all of the chaos. Our server even stepped in and asked him to calm down because there are guest and children in the restaurant, he continued. The manager tried to deescalate the situation and he continued to drop the F bomb to him. My family and I spent nearly 400.00 and for this to have happened is extremely distasteful; especially in an establishment such as Square 1682.

I was at the Sunday Brunch on Easter Sunday, I really liked the ginger beet juice from the raw bar- nice, the porridge was extra special. The mixed berries made a delightful dessert, we also had the crab cakes, which were wonderful. Loved it

Three of us met after just arriving late afternoon. Had the cheese tray, some cocktails and shared a burger. We were surprised at how good everything was prepared.

Stopped in while strolling down 17th, looking for dinner within easy walking distance of my nearby downtown hotel. Friendly host seated us immediately. Extensive bar menu with lots of beer, wine and cocktail selections, including several specialty house mixed drinks. Menu was diverse, with wide range of upscale options available. Waitress also offered a few reasonably priced specials. The real stars were the scallops I ordered from the regular menu! They tasted fresh, were perfectly cooked, and accompanying sides and sauce made the meal amazing! I would definitely go back, and if you're staying in the area, drop in and try out this restaurant.

We’re told as we walked in that the kitchen closes soon so we felt rushed from the start. My son and I ordered a wagyu burger medium rare. It came well done. I complained and the waitress muttered ‘sorry’ almost under her breath as she walked away from the table. Incredible! She did come back and Apologize later but I would have expected yes some discount t for our disappointment. We were starving so ate them but I honestly would have preferred a Big Mac as that is usually more juicy than this was. I’ve had many wagyu burgers around the world and this was honestly THE worst, driest burger ever!. Then to top it all the chef made so much noise closing up the kitchen it was almost comical. Avoid!!!

There is something to be said about arriving to a restaurant and feeling like you’re home. The staff and management at 1682 are superb and truly the perfect way to dine in Philly and I can’t recommend this place more. Pro tip — get the dirty martinis at night and the bloody Mary’s for brunch!!

The menu is nicely limited, the service was very good, and seating is not a big problem if you don't mind sitting at one of the taller tables with stools. We had Rib Eye steaks and they were delicious. Extensive wine list. Good breakfast options.

I had the best eggs Benedict I've ever had served with not your ordinary breakfast potatos. Food and service all much better than you'd think from an establishment connected to a hotel and probably mostly dependent on their guests. But worth the stop even in an area crowded with good places.

Spent the weekend in Philly with friends who were staying at the hotel and we enjoyed drinks here several times. The barmen were friendly and professional mixologists. Great atmosphere and drinks. I can highly recommend the McPoyle’s Milk Punch as a night cap.

We were staying at the Palomar for the weekend and decided to try the restaurant. It did not disappoint! We ordered a few of the small plates and everything was lick the plate good (even though we did not)! We ate at the bar and had a few cocktails mixed for us. Will be back again!

Nice location in the Kimpton Hotel Palomar. Nice views for people watching. Staff was a little on the slow side. Not sure why. Beer was good, food was okay.

A few weeks ago, my friends and I had a blast at Square 1682! We decided to catch up at the bar, and Kaitlyn made our experience even more memorable. She was not only helpful in recommending drinks but also skillful in making them. As a fan of smokier flavors, she prepared the perfect mezcal cocktail called 'It's Just Chemistry.' It was a well-balanced drink that satisfied my taste buds. Kaitlyn's hospitality, efficiency, friendliness, and knowledge of the menu truly stood out. She played a significant role in ensuring we had an amazing evening together. Without a doubt, we'll be back soon for more fun!

Chose Square 1682 as the location for a business dinner last. If he with 3 colleagues and was very pleased with the selection. Small plates included a good hummus, although with a non-descript focaccia-like bread which didn't lend anything to the dish, and octopus which was terrific but sparse. Dinners included the 1/2 chicken (reportedly very good), fish, and mushroom tart (tasty). Desserts included selections of sorbet which were average. Service was attentive and friendly. I'll return here for other business dinners because the menu has enough variety for anyone and the restaurant is accessible for mobility challenges.

Had a quick lunch in the hotel right before I checked in I think. I was able to use my Kimpton Raid the Bar credit here for a cocktail. The pulled pork sandwich was excellent but should have been hotter. The bartender was able to make my favorite, old-school Aviation cocktail and I was thrilled. The prices are a bit on the high side but it's Philly so it's expected. There are plenty of places in the area to grab a meal so take a look if you think that the cost is too high. My lunch was actually a daily special and included coffee and a cookie so that did make it a nice option. I'd certainly go back.

Read reviews and planned visit based on those. Ordered the seared tuna with wheat berry and cauliflower. The tuna wasn't as tender as it could have been and frankly had limited spices. The accompaniments were good. I ordered a signature beverage (#26) and it was ok but again nothing to write home about.

Service, Diamond was her name, was fabulous and offered honest feedback to allow us to make the best selection. 3 distinct and memorable choices that included the beef rigatoni, crispy duck wings and actions appetizer, all were plated beautifully and tasted great. Will definitely be going back!

While my family went to Federal Donuts, I deeply enjoyed my gluten free breakfast at Square 1682. Service was great, and they subbed fresh fruit for my bread. They said the home fries were not gluten free, but they ended up on my plate. Still I enjoyed my eggs, fruit and coffee.

Came here with Friends for a bday dinner. Food was amazing, and our waitress was nice, but the staff seemed very impatient.. a lot of the party was late due to heavy traffic because SEPTA was on strike. We told them several times, everyone was on their way. It was a good time overall. I would recommend this place.

We are staying at the Sofitel , diagonally across from this restaurant so we thought we’d try breakfasting here. I was an excellent experience, good staff, beautifully cooked pancakes, perfect coffee. It’s was only the bill that spoilt it! $5 for side of bacon, $6 for a double espresso etc etc serves us right for not checking first!

We loved our brunch at Square 1682. It’s conveniently located inside the Kimpton Palomar hotel. Service was great, food was delicious. We would definitely go back!

This restaurant is connected to the Kimpton Palomar Hotel. If your staying on south 17th street area by Samson, try this place. they have a new chef and he is adding new flavor to the food.

We were looking for a nice restaurant and a good steak dinner, and our Hotel staff recommended this place. Soon after we were seated my Wife said, "This is more like a bar that serves food, rather than a restaurant." The food and service were average, prices were high, and it was overall not an enjoyable experience -- more like a very noisy sports bar disguised as a restaurant.

I had breakfast here on a Thursday morning while on a business trip. I was a guest of the attached Kimpton Hotel. There was almost nobody in the place at 7:15 am. The host was standing with this back to the door working on the computer. I waited. I waited. I said GOOD MORNING. I waited. He finally turned and saw me (the actual host station is by the exterior door, not the hotel entry). He apologized and quickly sat me. The waiter was EXCELLENT. Fast. Friendly. I wanted the french toast but was concerned about the fruit compote due to an allergy. He was very understanding - checked and came back to tell me it had the ingredient I could not eat. I was surprised they didn't offer some blueberries or other options, but the meal came with the two slices of whole grain french toast the EXCELLENT marscapone cheese topping. It did not look like much for the price, but I have to say it was EXTREMELY good. The coffee was also excellent. I did have to wait quite a while to have my check picked up (which was odd because only 2 other people where in the place) but it was not a big deal. It was a nice breakfast, over all, but you will pay the downtown hotel prices.

We are regulars @ this restaurant - and love the hotel and always eat here. Food is great and cocktails even better. The Manager - Chip went out of his way to make our meal enjoyable! We had a slightly rocky start - I had made reservations for 8.15 Pm - but our daughter wanted to join us and eat earlier - so when I checked in - I made a point of telling the waitress about all of this and she went and conveyed this to the Hostess. I told the latter - that we would be down in 5 minutes and when we came down - it was like talking to a completely new person! It almost appeared as if she was being deliberately obstructive and hostile! Which is when I asked for the Manager - recognized Chip right away - when we had visited a few years earlier with our golden doodle - he set up a table in the foyer so that we could sit with our dog!

Great service and food. Waitress vash-tiy amazing and very attentive. Well worth a visit in Philly. Really good dinner service in particular breakfast. Will definitely be back

Highly recommend Square 1682! With an easy but elegant atmosphere - this place is an easy win. The bartender, Will was by far the best part! Not only does he make a fantastic drink but he is hilarious and provides good banter if you're in the mood. But in all honesty, his drinks are second to none and is a true mixologist.

I always enjoy my experience coming to Square for lunch or happy hour! The food is good and the bartenders, especially Kaitlyn, are great. I like the Bloody Mary!

Dined here for dinner. It was close to my hotel (and actually adjoining another hotel, the Kimpton). With all the great food in Philly, I regret it. They were out of my first dinner preference. My second selection was just plain bland. They mentioned it was new on the menu. I'm not someone to send food back, but I thought it was worth a second try. It came out a second time just a bland as the first. It was super pricey, too. As a vegetarian dish, it was just as expensive as any other dish on the menu. Making things worse, overall service was slow. The wait for my drink order to arrive neared 15 minutes. I sat 10-15 minutes with a half-eaten plate (silverware crossed ok plate) before they offered me a check. Maybe it was an off night, maybe I ordered wrong. Ultimately, I wouldn't return nor would I recommend it with so many great choices nearby.

My two children and I had breakfast. My very picky 12 year old enjoyed his french toast. My 10 year old daughter really enjoyed the home made jam with her scrambled eggs and toast. I loved my avocado toast with poached egg. The waitress was pleasant and attentive.

Had a fantastic meal there. Menu is very interesting and food was delicious. Waitress was pleasant and efficient. Many small dishes allowed for enjoying many foods and tastes. The Chef, Mackenson Horebe is a talented chef and a delightful, charming man. Highly recommend the place!

We stopped in around 9:00pm to grab a spot at the bar and some dessert. I'll be honest, the service from the bartender was mediocre at best. Most times, she was looking at her phone. We were very surprised because Kimpton restaurant typically have stellar service. However, the dessert was out of this world. Do yourself a favor and get the sticky toffee pudding - amazing!

Found this place whilst searching for some breakfast. Service was excellent as was the food, a typical American breakfast. Service / Food / Value all rate 5/5 unable to input below.

Relaxing, calm, peaceful, and quiet...plus tasty food! Great service and superb food. Everyone liked their choices. Unique and thoughtful dishes with excellent presentation.

My husband and I come to Philadelphia annually to see my team of doctors at Wills eye and the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center. We've tried numerous hotels and restaurants to make our trip as enjoyable as possible. Tonight we hit the bartender jackpot! We are staying at the Sofitel on 17th, but decided to try the Happy Hour at the Square 1682 across the street. We couldn't have been more pleased! We arrived at 5:30 and Chris was working the bar in the most professional way possible. His engagement with all his bar customers was sincere and welcoming. The atmosphere was truly positive toward each and every one. He greeted regulars by name, but was just as anxious to give dining advise to folks that were there just for the day or week. His drinks, even those off the extraordinarily cheap Happy Hour menu, were made to perfection. I told my husband that I couldn't remember when we'd been at a new bar that made us feel so welcome and also served amazing drinks and bar food. Talk about a win win!! It was our last night in Philadelphia, but it most certainly won't be our last night at Square 1682 thanks to Chris!!! Can't wait to return, and can't recommend Chris and Square 1682 enough!

Wow! Blown away. Super friendly, Tauna at the front desk, Justin the manager came to ask how we were doing, and Cindy. Was not expecting such a great experience for a hotel restaurant. Would come again. Justin and his team are fantastic. Demitri

I had high hopes after ready other reviews, but unfortunately the food was such a let down! I had the pork cheeks to start with were rather average - way too much polenta which was over-powering. The steak was main was an average cut although decently cooked, but the accompanying risotto just didn't work as a dish. Overall, the food was trying too hard to look fancy when they should focus on the flavors. A weird ambiance too. I sat at bar and enjoyed a beer!

We were 3 women having a weekend in Philadelphia, staying at the Sofitel across the road, and saw this restaurant so had some lunch there. We all ordered different things and all of us found our food to be delicious and beautifully presented. It was a bit quiet as not many people were in there, but the atmosphere was still nice, with most of the tables right beside the windows. I have included photos of my calamari appetizer and beet salad. They make healthy smoothies too, which I also enjoyed one of. Nice variety of food and very healthy considering it's classified as American cuisine. Pleasantly surprised.

Dining here prior to theater - chose this spot mainly for location and expectation that small plates would create a 'quick' dinner ... warning... small kitchen = food comes out slowly. We were fine on time. Our server made sure our orders were in a things were moving along. Thankfully there weren't a lot of folks dining or this could have been an issue. Very interesting selection ... everything we had was quite tasty but not anything to get super excited about. Very mediocre selection of wines by the glass - but what else is new. The $35 3 course is a nice option.

When someone brings coffee and juice to your table here during breakfast and you take it, you are going to pay an extra $10 per person. The juice doesn't even taste fresh squeezed. General manager: customers should be informed of any charges, but of course you don't want to because know you are taking advantage of people. "Well, it says there is a charge on the menu." you say. Bullcrap. 1) I shouldn't have to read something before I get charged $10. What if I was having a conversation with my companion and didn't get to read the menu yet? If you hadn't actually brought the coffee and juice to my table I would have thought there would be a charge for it, but since you brought it... 2) You didn't bring to the table anything else that could be charged for. I didn't get charged for water. I never get charged for bread that is brought to me in a restaurant. I don't get charged for ketchup or even *gasp* extra pickle. Why should I think I will be charged for coffee and juice that you bring to my table? And that's what you hope I will think 3) It is simply polite to inform people whenever there is a charge. When you add in the coffee and juice, a tiny breakfast at this restaurant runs $30. Oh, and by the way they charge $45 for a bottle of wine that goes for $9 from the producer.

Convenient location with a good happy hour variety. The sliders come in three options and the signature cocktails are well worth trying.

We were greeted by very friendly staff, food choices were plentiful, delicious, and reasonably priced for Center City Philadelphia. Service was efficient and staff helpful. Cocktails, wines, and beer selection was great too

We ate here while staying at the Kimpton Palomar-Philadelphia hotel. We ate breakfast here two days in a row and the service was great! The hostess and server were very kind. We loved the food we got! Definitely recommend and we will be back!

Snack menu (outside regular dining hours) is cheaper but still good. Liked the burgers & fries, as well as bacon-wrapped figs.

I've been to this restaurant on several occasions, although I always sit at the bar. The service there is great. Excellent drinks and great food.

This restaurant is part of the Hotel Palomar on 17th and Sansone. The pulled pork sandwich was excellent! It was served with a generous amount of pulled pork and served on two brioche buns along with a side of cheddar fries. The hummus and pita starter was flavorful. Pita was served warm and a generous amount of hummus. Service could be a bit slow during busy time so plan ahead.

Booked a reservation for brunch a week in advance due to the positive reviews on TA. Restaurant part of the Kimpton Hotel Palomar we stayed in the night prior. Arrived 10 minutes early but were seated right away by a very nice hostess. Service was inconsistent after that. Took a while to get our first drinks and a lot of time passed between our waitress' visits to our table. What was excellent, however, was the food and drinks - Fantastic! Highly recommend their Bloody Mary and Breakfast Martini! Our food selections were AWESOME! The Philly Special, Breakfast Sandwich, Rittenhouse Omelet, and Huevos Rancheros were all top notch! We will be back!

We had read the reviews and were excited to try the brunch at Square 1682; however, were underwhelmed from the start. We tried to get a reservation at 11am and were told they were completely booked until 1pm so we settled for 1pm. When we arrived there were lots of open tables so we were surprised by the lack of an earlier reservation. They also let us know that they were out of many options that were listed on the menu. We settled for the burger and avocado toast - both were bland and not up to the quality of other restaurants in the area. The prosecco was served warm and overpriced. It felt was if we were in a cheap hotel restaurant rather than a nice brunch setting.

Very nice. A bit high priced but the food was good and the drinks generous. An easy stop for a quick bite before bed.

Sleek and trendy with a full bar & very good food just off historic Rittenhouse Square: No wonder there were so many young diners there for the Sunday brunch menu! Service is friendly & portions are generous - loved the the Rittenhouse omelet with bacon & cheese, served with home fries in heavy pottery bowls (toast not included). For sure we will return soon to sample the dinner menu.

We had breakfast here our first morning in Philly because it is attached to the Hotel Palomar where we were staying. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented but the servings were huge an really expensive compared to the cafes and diners nearby.

We visited Square 1682 while staying at the restaurants attached hotel, the Kimpton Palomar. Their brunch was delicious! There’s sweet and savory options to satisfy every palate and the portions were large 👌🏾 We loved the experience so much that we returned in the evening for dinner and drinks and it did not disappoint. The vibe is perfect for a date night and the dinner menu was awesome. The staff was attentive and the bartenders really know how to put on a show. Great restaurant!

My husband and I stayed at the adjoining hotel for two nights, and frequented square 1682 often during our stay. The food and atmosphere were wonderful, but the service is top notch. Rey and Angelo were behind the bar and were stellar! Excellent customer service, awesome personalities and top notch service. We cannot recommend enough! The general manager (didn’t catch his name) was very friendly and attentive. You can see his superb leadership shining through the rest of the staff! When we return to Philadelphia we will definitely be returning here!

My fiancé and I popped in for a quick drink and bite. The bartender, Will, was fantastic and accommodating. He added great service and commentary to our night, on top of the great food and drinks! Will definitely be coming back soon!

We recently had breakfast in Square 1682 despite the fact we were not staying in this hotel. The food was exceptional and the wait staff were friendly, efficient and professional. I wish we had stayed around long enough to have dinner but Philadelphia has so many choices. Next time we are in town, we will try this place for dinner.

Companion restaurant for the Kimpton Palomar Philly. We were trying to find a good place to eat close to the hotel but everywhere we tried was booked solid. We kinda overlooked this place for whatever reason but decided to go in and see if they could seat a 6 last minute. The hostess was more than accommodating and made it work. Without going into much detail about the food, we had a bunch of different apps and different dinners and everything was really good! We were all pleasantly surprised, again not sure why except usually if you can find seats when everything else is booked you go in with some fear factor! Please do not overlook this place! It’s really good!!

We stopped here for a couple of cocktails after a day of site-seeing and before heading out to dinner. We sat at the bar and the service was fine. We both had a couple of mixed drinks and the tab was over $60 – just drinks, no food. It shouldn’t have surprised us since it’s a Kimpton hotel bar. Nice space and pleasant bartenders but not worth the price.

Restaurants linked to Kimpton hotels are usually pretty good, and Square 1682 is no exception. Although it was really noisy, on a Sunday night, we decided to eat here and did not regret it. I had a Kale/beet salad, very nicely served in a wide silver bowl, and a truly excellent pork shank. Bartender was top notch too.

Links to our hotel for Room service but ended up collecting the food from here myself. The decor in the place seems very nice and cosy. We just had a light bite - Both got the Square 1682 Burger and a Smores cheesecake which both tasted very nice. The place was a bit pricey for room service but think the place itself was actually cheaper. Didn't blow me away as the best place I've ever eaten but was very nice. Menu didn't seem to expansive either, but think its sort of half bar / half food.

We stopped in here on a Saturday night for drinks and a quick snack. The waitress was quick, friendly and very informed about the menu. The house made hummus and homemade pita chips were delicious. We will definitely go back.

I went with my family while they were visiting Philadelphia. Food was delicious and obviously fresh. And despite not being a typical family place, they were very accommodating of my 3 year-old. Huge points in my book! We loved it so much we ate breakfast there on our second day.

Stopped in for some drinks after work, highly recommend sitting at the bar. Bartender Will had some great recommendations and was quick and on point. Relaxed atmosphere and enjoyed the conversation.

I d suggest a visit to this hotel restaurant even if not staying at kimpton Restaurant was as good as promised with staff that outdid themselves each time I visited 3 separate occasions

We stayed at the Hotel Palomar (highly recommend this hotel) to see a show at the Kimmel Center. Our intention was to dine at one of the great restaurants in the area, but ended up running late and decided it would make more sense to just eat at the hotel (Square 1682) and not have to rush as much. This ended up being a great decision! Dinner was delicious, service was great and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. We started with the burrata eggplant appetizer which was pretty good and an interesting combination, although I think my husband would have preferred the traditional tomato basil fresh mozzarella combination. He's not as much an eggplant fan as I am. But, I have to admit the sweetness of eggplant mixture was a bit much and I would have preferred if it were a bit more savory than sweet. For main dishes we had the branzino, beef short ribs and mushroom risotto. The branzino was excellent and actually paired well with the mushroom risotto. The greens that came with the branzino were again just a bit too sweet for my taste. But, with the mushroom risotto, it all tasted great! Our son ordered the short ribs and loved them, wishing there were a bit more. I think the portion sizes were perfect, however. All in all, this was a surprisingly good dinner in a surprisingly warm and inviting restaurant. Just one more wonderful top notch offering by the hotel Palomar.

Popped in for a couple drinks on Sunday before the football games with buddies. Solid apperol spritz to drink. Sebastian was great!

Looking to have breakfast at one of the more Trendy restaurants on Easter Morning 2017, but they were all booked. OpenTable mentioned a similar one. "Square 1682". We got there and ordered 3 different breakfast meals. All 3 meals.. Absolutely wonderful! Great service, smiles on their faces & prompt. The food was AS good as the "Trendy Places" and the prices where better than reasonable! As my foodie daughter said "if we made it into the other places we would have gotten half the quantity of food, Paid 50% more and the taste would have been no better. TRY Square 1682. you will not be disappointed.

Had a delicious dinner after visiting The Franklin Institute with my family. The cocktails were perfectly balanced, the food (we had the burger, cornbread, and salmon) were delicious, and the staff were super attentive. Great spot for a nice dinner, afternoon snack, or a quick drink.

We stayed at the Hotel Palomar and decided to try the restaurant attached one night for dinner. We were so pleasantly surprised by how wonderful this restaurant was. The food was wonderfully prepared and delicious, and the service was friendly and attentive.

Had brunch here with a friend after a night out. We sat at the bar and the bartender was fantastic! Food was excellent. If we were staying longer, we would have hung out more.

Until they get the new staff and system up and running, you may want to stay away for a little bit. I have already had my complaints answered by management, with the explanation above sufficing. Long story short - I received a bill for nearly $70 when my food was $42 on the menu handed to me (and the menu on the internet / and the menu outside the restaurant in the Kimpton) and it took two separate discussions with the manager to resolve it. Will try the restaurant again some other time, but it was not a pleasant experience to be on the wrong side of the training / system issues

We stay at the Palomar often and have enjoyed Square 1682 several times. This time we were here on Christmas night, and the kitchen left us feeling merry. As always, each dish is properly prepared, and artfully plated.

I just experienced such awful service that I had to create an account to leave a review. We both ordered the same meal, one gluten free and one not. Apparently the gluten free breakfast at this restaurant means you get exactly the same breakfast... without toast, for the same price. I would expect this to be explained from the outset, but instead it was an unwelcome surprise when the food (and then receipt) arrived. As a brunch fanatic, the food itself was one of the worst I’ve experienced - the eggs were poorly cooked and the rest of the food was bland at best. The service was not particularly poor, but we were provided with the receipt without the opportunity to order another drink.

The restaurant is great as are the drinks! During our stay at the Hotel Palomar, we had late-night drinks here as well as brunch. Both were really great. The drinks are always very creative and carefully constructed, and the brunch selections were awesome. We will continue to stay here and eat here!

High top table service thanks to Erin made it feel like a four star dinner experience. On an otherwise not so busy night, our server was as entertaining and enjoyable to speak with as we could have hoped. What started as a night cap ender transforms into a last call bar closing. The staff and atmosphere was great and regardless of the crowd, we were fawned over and treated like royalty. Thanks Erin, the Palomar and staff!

I had such a pleasant experience at your restaurant your server Diamond was very friendly and she has a beautiful smile. The food was extremely good too. The next time i’m in town, I look forward to visiting Square to see Diamond again.

Great place to catch up with friends over brunch! The menu was a typical brunch menu but everything we ordered was very tasty. The coffee was kept flowing. Great ambience.

Last night I met up with an old friend from Italy at Square 1682. We had a great time. The staff allowed us to talk and get caught up for about 2 1/2 hours. At no time did we feel rushed. It was a perfect place to have a couple of drinks and an enjoyable meal. Rarely, if ever, would I order pork chops in a restaurant, but the description on the menu looked very interesting. The pork was prepared beautifully and was extremely tender. It came with smoked grits and probably one of the best and most unique salads I have ever had ... charred kale with diced strawberries and a very light balsamic vinaigrette. The meal was incredible. My friend went with two appetizers, the grilled octopus and the mussels, both of which he enjoyed. Another thing, the restaurant was a fun place. While it wasn't overly crowed (after all, it was a Tuesday night), there were a lot of people of various ages enjoying themselves ... and it wasn't all that loud. I highly recommend Square 1682 and will certainly be back again real soon.

Sebastian is a top notch bar tender. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and super nice. Definitely makes the brunch experience worthwhile.

I dined at Square 1862 numerous times while staying at the Palomar for lunch and dinner. I love their Square Burger and Roasted Chicken. Kaitlyn Helman is my favorite bartender. I always enjoy our conversations and her mixology skills! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone traveling and residing in Rittenhouse.

I was there in a day off I had in a business trip, so I was alone. I found this place very warm and nice. The food is very good: not usual big portions so you can taste different dishes. I started with a soup, moved on chicken really well cooked and closed with sweet. Interior: good. I suggest to keep it in the radar.

We had to make a reservation late in the day on a Saturday and Square 1682 could accomodate us and we enjoyed a good, but not outstanding meal. One of us ordered the Scottish Salmon (Salmon with skin on, Squid escabeche, sautéed fingerlings, and melted leeks) and I the Amish Chicken (Breast and leg, Charred carrots, baby kale, parsnip puree, and rosemary jus). The chicken was nicely done, with a pan crisped skin and moist meat. I wasn’t knocked out by the assortment of root vegetables that also sat on the plate and in the end, felt that at $26 for the dish I should have liked it a whole lot more.

We had an amazing meal and evening at Square 1682 celebrating our girlfriends 35th birthday! Or waitress Sasha was attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely patient with our large group. We had one lady with us who was quite difficult and Sasha was so polite and accommodating, never losing patience even though this woman was quite rude. I dined on the waitresses recommendation: melt-in-your mouth short ribs accompanied with local veggies. It was awesome. I highly recommend the place-I'm looking forward to trying the duck confit toast the next time I go back!

Great lunch options and our bartender Kaitlyn was wonderful as well! We actually went back to eat dinner later the same day and were just as impressed.

I had a yogurt bowl with granola and berries, it was very good but very large. My sister got the eggs sunny side up, bacon and sautéed hash browns and she loved it. We also stopped by for drinks later in the day and it was also a pleasant experience.

I've been to the restaurant several times for a work lunch. The pre meal popcorn is so delightfully salty and yummy! They've recently changed the menu and during this visit they ran out of turkey burgers, which are usually amazing. So I opted for the frittata of the day. The slabs of American cheese (just out of its plastic wrap) wasn't the most elegant nor what I would have expected from this usually wonderful spot. I'll be back but am hoping I just hit an off day .

Service was average. Waiter took time after the drinks were ordered to get our meal orders. Menu had a good variety of choices. Pasta with shrimp had plentiful shrimp, a plus, but pasta was bland, a minus.

The staff members are wonderful. We really enjoyed the assistance with choosing drinks, the conversations, and the warm welcome. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is charming.

We visited recently on a weekday afternoon and redeemed our Travelzoo voucher. We started with cocktails which were nicely prepared and served quickly. Our seats were near the window, which allowed us a great view of the comings and goings on the streets of Philly. Our voucher afforded us one appetizer to share and we chose a generous plate of gnocchi. It was supremely light in a very tasty sauce. A hit with both of us. Our entrees were curried cauliflower for me and lobster spaghetti for my sweetie. While I would have liked my dish to be more liberally seasoned, my sweetie's dish was perfect. There wasn't a single noodle left on his plate. A lovely bottle of house Cabernet or Chardonnay was included on the voucher. We chose the Cabernet and really enjoyed it. I had three scoops of ice cream for dessert. The chocolate ice cream was TO DIE FOR, rich, decadent and creamy. The strawberry banana and vanilla were very good as well. My sweetie had the peach cobbler served with a nice crunchy topping covering sweet, succulent peaches. We each enjoyed a cup of coffee to cap off our evening.

It can be difficult with gluten allergies and sensitivities to eat sandwiches. Thanks to Square 1682 for having a great avocado BLT and gluten-free bread that didn’t fall apart and was incredibly tasty. Server...sorry I missed his name was friendly and accommodating. Easy going, centrally located for causal business lunch.

Enjoyed a nice meal here with a family member while visiting Philly; the menu was very interesting and diverse, though the prices were high for what you got (but I don't live in a major metro area, so I'm used to lower prices). The only issue I had was that there appears to be no difference in seating parties that want to have a meal and parties that want to gather and drink. My aunt and I were seated next to a large, noisy party of about 8 people. They were so loud we could barely hear each other. It really interfered with my experience, unfortunately.

A friend was staying at Hotel Palomar, so we met to eat and catch up on life. It was a dreary, rainy day, and we did not want to venture too far, although there are lots of restaurants nearby. We were seated at a high top near the window. Staff was friendly, efficient. I had the lamb lettuce wraps (offered as a shared appetizer, I chose it as an entree). Very good, nicely spiced. Friend chose the burger with the side salad, enjoyed it. Very nice lunch, good time sitting by window visiting with friends.

Located at the Boutique Hotel...Palomar...this restaurant deserves a visit...and another. Staff seems instructed to start out a bit formally, which is fine. You get the sense that this is serious service...not amateur attention. As staff adjusts to your attitude, they will ease up on the formality. Brunch was terrific. I had their version of Eggs Benedict which had many choices including crab, pulled pork or short ribs and probably also offered the typical ham. Once I got over the taste shock of not having ham (choosing instead the short ribs) with my "Benny" (as they call it), all was well. Each bite improved on the last one. Barbara (my wife and dinner companion) ordered enough to know that the greens were excellent and the breakfast potatoes were just right. The English muffins and the bacon were also great. Not memorable, but great. As to the gripes...well...there are no real gripes., though Barbara and I disagreed on the La Colombe coffee. I liked it and thought it had character. She thought it was slightly weak. Again, though, from what we had of the greens and from what we saw of the salads...the vegetable plates were special. Another great thing. The Hotel is dog friendly and while dogs are not allowed in the main dining room, the restaurant is versatile and will deliver food to terraces outside (where your pooch is welcome) or to the Hotel lobby (again dog friendly) or to your room. One tip: If heading for the bathroom, you can go through the dining area, but be sure to exit via the elevators down to the ground floor of the hotel. There you will get to see the hotel lobby and above with it's eye-popping ceramic tiles and other incredible touches. Palomar is surely part of the trip.. Not to be missed. We would stay there if we were a tad more wealthy.

This restaurant is attached to a hotel in center city. We ordered frittatas but they looked more like egg pancakes when they came out. It was still pretty good. Their mimosa was good too!

This place was noisy when I arrived at 7, apparently a group gathered near the bar that was quite loud. Fortunately, the host seated me in the back, away from the shouting. The food was quite good. I started with a sweet corn salad, which was excellent, then I had the "Cut of the Day" ... which on this day was a vegetarian dish ... a plate of grilled vegetables. All very tasty. I would go back to this place to try more.

Okay let's just pause right here and talk about that popcorn. YEP, I said POPCORN. Did they really use Truffle Oil? Yes, I ate that by the VAT and even ordered some for a late night chatty cathy session with my gfs. They called to discuss that popcorn a day and a half later. :) Mommy ate a grilled cheese and was smilingly satiated. I had, wait for it, a LOBSTER ROLL ON GLUTEN FREE BREAD. Likely doesn't mean a lot to some but yes, that's the first time I have had the privilege of a lobster roll because I don't live on the East Coast and am 1000% GLUTEN FREE, so it just is something I do not expect. Yes, the food was good, the glass of champagne was tasty and overall it was a great first meal in Philly. But that popcorn though...

Had drinks and dinner at the Square. Dinner was great as it always is and service was awesome. We sat at the bar and our bartender Will was just the best. Not only did he make fantastic drinks, but it was really crowded and I was impressed on how he was able to manage the bar as well as having conversations with all the folks at the bar as well! Definitely a great time at the Square and Thank You Will!

This is the first time we've had brunch and it was so good we had it twice! Really good selection on the menu and the mimosas were great. Outstanding service as usual.

There are buckets and buckets of staff and the service is still awful and toe curlingly slow. We are back to the USA slop and chuff it down area. Orange juice was concentrate , poached eggs cold and it all came in separated bits .. most odd. Not a place I would rush back to, sorry.

The way to go at Square 1682 is the 3-course meal for $36. It included a choice of appetizer - I chose the lobster bisque - an entree (pork loin) and dessert (creme brulee-style custard). The presentation was impressive and all were delicious. There are also some interesting craft cocktails like the mezcal option I selected. It was also surprisingly uncrowded on a Friday evening.

We went here before seeing Hamilton and the theater special menu was phenomenal! Ask for Scott, he was the most friendly and helpful waiter-he went above and beyond to make our experience a wonderful one!

The service was unbelievable, matched by the supreme quality of the food. This restaurant can accommodate families, just recommend coming early if you have kids. Table next two us brought their 3 kids and seemed to have a great time! Ultimately I think I would recommend this for a nice date night out. Read below for more... Wife and I needed a date night, already being in Philly without our son, we chose Square. What a great choice it was! It’s a dimly lit place on the corner of a hotel. Has big glass windows facing the street, allowing you to see the city life outside. The middle interior wall housed the bar, with its many drink selections. The rest of the restaurant was filled with tables a various sizes that looked like they could be adjusted to fit any party’s needs. We got sat at a table for two and started our date night with a glass of wine and warm corn bread. It was amazing! Our waitress was incredible, describing the dishes we asked about with great detail. Comparing two dishes for me, and recommending the jerk chicken noting it was the head chefs mothers recipe from Haiti. Once again main course was delicious! Throughout the night our waitress made sure we were attended to, answered all our questions, and did it all with a smile and a few laughs. Beyond her, everyone we helped us that night were very welcoming, happy, and caring (we had at least 5 different staff members that took care of us). All of them helping make it a wonderful atmosphere and an enjoyable experience!

My friends and I visited Philly this week and searched through trip advisor for a good place for dinner. We found this place and figured we'd try it out. It so happened that we were staying in the hotel that is attached to the restaurant. All 4 of us loved our meals and drinks. I had the spare ribs and ate everything on the plate. The plates were the perfect size. Meals were reasonably priced for a city. I would definitely come here again.

We had breakfast here twice! The food was delicious!!!! I had the eggs Benedict with crab one day and their signature burger the next! You must try the bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese....to die for! Our server Cindy was delightful. Nice to see such a warm smile so early in the morning. The only thing I didn't like was my Bloody Mary. It was literally like drinking cocktail sauce through a straw. Yuck! So thick. They sent me another one and it was no better. The food and service made up for it though.

We stopped in at the end of the night for a drink, while staying at the Kimpton Palomar hotel. This place was very relaxing and enjoyable. The bar staff was friendly, accommodating and best of all, the drinks were very good. We did not eat there; however, all of the tables were filled and the food looked really enticing. I don't think you would be disappointed with your visit.

Had their breakfast pafait of Greek yoghurt with mixed berries and granola - delicious. Also had nibbles with a drink which included dates stuffed with chess and wrapped in bacon - a great combination. Only downside was the beer wasn't on tap.

Fantastic signature drinks. Bartender was the best. Bar appetizers were very good, especially the bacon wrapped dates. A must try is the Smoky voodoo. Breakfast was excellent and more beers waiting for the valet service.

Good food but small menu , content of which we did not like . Sometimes plain food can be enjoyed as much as fancier food . We did have breakfast there though and the pancakes were delicious - 4 large pancakes stuffed with blueberries . One portion could easily be shared by 2 people . Pancakes were not cheap so sharing would not only help your figure but Also your purse . Very clean tidy restaurant - evening staff could not have been nicer .

I came here for brunch with some friends the other week and had a great time! I ordered the steak caesar salad, which came with romaine wedges (which I thought was a nice touch) and the steak was perfectly cooked medium rare! I also tried a few of their cocktails, which were fantastic.. I particularly liked the Black Dahlia. The ambiance was very relaxing and the service was an equally relaxing experience. Our bartender, Kaitlyn was very informative and friendly. We had a great conversation about music & cats, which we both shared a passion for! My whole group was impressed with the food, drinks & customer service. We will certainly be coming back again soon. :)

The cocktails here are superb and the service is outstanding. We have stayed at the Hotel Palomar several times and always make it a point to visit Square 1682 at least for drinks. Definitely worth it!

Found this restaurant via a TripAdvisor search and figured I'd try it during my day trip to Philly. The menu was simple and easy to navigate. We chose a Proseco blend to share and the home made pineapple syrup added was just delicious. We both ordered the Two eggs any style and was pleased to see a plate with a good portion of food. I enjoyed the bacon and breakfast potatoes and could only eat a slice of the delicious whole wheat toast. The atmosphere is quaint as it is inside of one of the Kimpton hotels. Our server was also great and had a great attitude. When my friend had the wrong choice of meat, they replaced the entire plate instead. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone. It is close to several stores and would be a great start to a day of shopping or meet-up with friends.

Pretty nice spot for dinner. Classic American fare, in my opinion. Great beer selection, soothing lighting & music, attentive staff, and a great spot for a business chat or a date, etc. Will be back.

Wonderful restaurant experience. We ate here for breakfast following our first night at the hotel, and our server, Cindy, was so delightful we couldn’t help but come back for a second breakfast. She is so great, I simply can’t say enough good things about her. We will return just for her! The food itself was better than expected. I tried the breakfast sandwich, and my spouse had the Philly Special. Both were large and very good. However, the second day, my spouse was not keen on the onions that ended up in the potatoes after asking they be omitted. Otherwise, everything went very well for us at this restaurant. I’ll surely come back.

the cheese steak here is SO GOOD! Seriously, the meat quality is great, Chef Mac uses Vermont white cheddar and the bun is perfect. It's so good, you don't even need the bun.

Usually I find hotel restaurants to be overpriced and, frankly, not very good. This was not the case for Square 1682, which is connected to the Kimpton Hotel Palomar. The food was worth the price! Dishes were well-prepared and thoughtfully composed, and our server was very attentive (partly because we were one of two tables occupied in the restaurant--it was right after New Year's and it seemed a little dead). Great experience!

Made our reservation via open table and they were super accommodating in terms of seating. The service was excellent and the food was great. My only criticism is the menu is a bit limited but we liked the small plates that allowed us to have a nice selection of yummy foods.

Tash was an incredible Hostess! She remembered our family and our favorite table during our entire stay. She was so friendly and had wonderful new suggestions daily for us to explore throughout the city based on our interests. Thank you Tash for making our stay in Philly a home run!!

It is a very nice place with good food, and nice sized portions, especially the burger. The staff is very friendly. Fun drinks.

I would recommend this place as a casual place to go for drinks with friends. I believe it was the best drink I've had in a long time.

Asked the bartender. Seriously,? and, “Hey guys!” as we entered. And then to seal the deal, the Pinot Noir was horrible and HOT! The world is ending.

For the last 2 days, I have eaten in this restaurant and I've enjoyed everything. The service is amazing and the food let me tell you about the food. The cornbread is a go to. The clam buccatini was good. The rigatoni was delicious. Chef Marcellous, has blessed hands. I left full and happy. Great drinks too!!!

Visited last week for a business dinner and absolutely loved it. Pita chips and hummus is absolutely amazing. If you are vegetarian, you can try the wild mushroom risotto (ask them to make it less creamy). Rest of my colleagues enjoyed the place and some of them were coming for the third time in a month (says it all).

Had a great experience with Kaitlyn as my server. She was super friendly and helpful, really a joy to be served by and I’ll be coming back soon. Food and drinks were also delicious! Love the vibe of this place!

WOOOOOOOOW! Exactly! It's not a word....it's a SOUND that indicates that something was enjoyed, loved, desired, to the fullest; so much so, that words can not express. Our waiter, Adam, was awesome. He was attentive and supportive, without being 'too much'......like your favorite cousin! As an official "FOODIE," and all around 'THICK CHICK!' I had to rate this supreme venue on 3 areas: 1. Presentation- The visual display was on POINT! Our Beet salad was delightfully place in a 9" round bowl, with the thick dressing smeared on one side of the bowl. The Sweet Potato Bisque was served in a mini crock pot; just beautiful...to match its smooth and creamy taste. 2. Taste- OBVIOUSLY, Divine! The 24oz bone-in Ribeye steak was at the peak of freshness and flavor, adorned with a pat of pure butter and a peppercorn gravy/sauce! The SQUARE CASSOULET with The duck confit, Lamb, Pork Belly, and Bacon was like a thick stew....comforting, delightful and hearty! 3. Texture- AWESOME! LOOK AT THE PICTURES!

We decided to stopped in to Square 1682 for drinks and a small bite. What a great atmosphere and the service was amazing. Our water was always filled and on a hot day that was a must. Our server, Nile, was amazing. He was so kind and helpful. He explained the menu to us and spoke so highly of all of their food. Our drinks and food can out in record speed. The prices during Happy Hour were really good. We definitely can see that everyone there is contributing to the success of this restaurant. Definitely worth a try and ask for Nile as your server. He is AWESOME!!

Had a breakfast here (as Kimpton guests), which was the worst hotel breakfast we've experienced ever. As we walked in no any kind of greetings or smile, just a sit where you want gesture. Had: a) BEET ME (a small glass of supposedly beet, carrot, ginger and cilantro raw juice, which in reality was filled with 2 huge cylinders of ice taking the 2/3 of the space in a glass and the rest of the space was filled with UNDRINKABLE mess of awfully tasted beet and ginger juice with nowhere found carrot or cilantro flavor). And this is coming from the person who LOVES raw juices and familiar with many flavors of them. Otherwise why would I ordered this mess for the price of the $9 ?!?! for THIS??? b) Supermarket quality bagel and Croissant with the slice of Philadelphia Cream Cheese bought in some of those Warehouses (like BJ'S or Sam's, no condiments like jams or jellies coming with them) for $4 each?! c) 2 cups of not good tasting coffee (no milk until asked, no refills offered) for $4 each?! And then comes the question from the waitress "How did you like it?" Well, she received our honest opinion about how we liked it, and after hearing it, said with of course an attitude: "If you didn't like it you don't have to pay for it", which actually was the only positive (and I would say fare) part of our experience in this place. Paying about $30 for a minimal breakfast for 2 should include much more hospitality, taste and satisfaction than was offered to us here.

Couldn't wait to review this restaurant. Landed a window seat from which to enjoy a summer evening in Philadelphia. Service was fabulous. Waiter was attentive, made great suggestions and checked in at just the right intervals. Food was exceptional and came quickly. Don't miss the Brussels sprouts Ann chocolate popcorn to be enjoyed at any point. Bronzino was light and crispy, corn raviolis interesting, light and sooooo good. Great atmosphere for a nice dinner, full bar.

I booked this restaurant because I bought a voucher on Travelzoo. We shared an appetizer, 2 entrees, bottle of wine, & shared dessert. My wife enjoyed her bronzino & cauliflower. My crab cakes were very good. The Chardonnay was OK. The server, Angela, was very attentive.

We dined here for brunch as we were staying at the connected Hotel Palomar. We were seated quickly and staff was friendly. Their brunch menu had many options to choose from. The chicken apple sausage was delicious.

Had a great time sitting at the bar for lunch after a quick stay-cation. Our bartender Kaitlyn was great and made us some DELICIOUS cocktails! Overall nice vibe, great location, and lovely service! Would come again for sure
Typical American food. Bland. Large portions. And again tasteless.
Came here for dinner with colleagues. There were 12 of us so quite a bit group. It is not a surprise that we have arrived. They have known this for a while. Yet the service was extremely slow. The lady who took our drinks order was efficient. We ordered a bottle of white. Red. And rose. Almost needing another top up once we have given up everyone a glass! So do they keep them coming? Nope. Anyway she took our order efficiently and then went downhill from there. Food took a while to turn up. Steaks weren’t done to what a colleague expected so got sent back. My burger arrived and it was just massive. Two patties. Ant the French fries look like it can feed a family of four. Typical American fare. Can we please consider smaller portion but with taste! Sigh. Really Not impressed
