Great Thai Food in North Admiral

By DeeFry |

Had a really nice dinner at Srivilai. They have the best fried veggie rolls. Also enjoyed the pad thai with crispy tofu. Husband had the shrimp pad Thai and said it was so fresh. Wish the pad Thai came with more veggies included. Service was excellent. Easy parking on the street. So glad that it's close to home in West Seattle North Admiral area.

The Swellness of Srivilai

By M T |

Ordered a slew of food for a graduation recognition we were doing for work. Had not been to Srivilai prior, and had no experience to go on. We really wanted to work with a locally-owned, small business for our food needs, and Srivilai _does indeed_ do catering! They were thorough with walking us through what our options were, given the number of folk we anticipated at our recognition event, and e-mail communication was excellent as well as timely. Food quality was excellent, and to be fair reasonably expected reliably quality given other reviews of this same business. Attendees of the event as well as staff at the event were highly satisfied and we also enjoyed tasting new dishes that most of us hadn't tried before. We ESPECIALLY appreciate the Srvilai Garden Rolls, including the garlic dipping sauce: so fresh! so zesty!

Terrific Thai at Reasonable Prices

By WestSeaDoc |

For those who want a somewhat "posh" atmosphere, this isn't the place for you; it's more like a comfortably designed "hole in the wall / hidden gem." The food is affordable and the quality, on a slightly limited menu, is among the best I've eaten. If you aren't into classically spicy Thai, they will prepare the dishes 0 to 1 star and bring a tray of hotter spices and oils for the more adventuresome palates. Family dining is fine with the caveat that the seating is limited and kids might not like the hot stuff.

New Day. New Thai.

For years this cozy location on California Ave SW in West Seattle was home to Blackboard Bistro, a truly remarkable place. When Blackboard announced their retirement, there was much sadness and a sense of loss. Weeks later, this new Thai place opened in the same location, and we are very eager to share it with you. West Seattle has a fair amount of Thai, including one old-timer that has some of Seattle longest wait lines. What this place has, in our opinion, is some of Seattle's BEST Thai. Srivilai retained the cozy warmth of the former established and added their own clean-lined charm. The menu is recognizable with the usual Thai favorites, but what is not usual is the high quality and subtle executions of these familiar dishes that make them new again. We highly recommend a visit!

Outstanding neighborhood Thai restaurant.

We returned to this neighborhood Thai restaurant for date night and were very pleased. We started with Garden rolls. They were fresh and, with the garlic sauce, very flavorful. The wrap gave them a chewy texture that we had not encountered before. We followed that with Phad Thai, a 1/8" wide rice noodle in a thick dark sauce, with fried tofu. The tofu was perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. Our savory eggplant with fried tofu was heavy on the crispy tofu and less eggplant but intensely flavorful. We next had the Seafood Lovers which was crunchy stir fried veggies with 1-2 each of mussels, scallops, shrimp, and squid rings. It was excellent over our sides of brown rice. We finished with red curry with seafood [the same 4 kinds] which had a very good blend with coconut milk. Our bill, with 2 glasses of wine, was $114. We will definitely return.

Love at first bite

I haven't tried Thai food before, being somehow prejudiced in a sense that I have expected it all to be just spicy (the word "curry" threw me off). And then it became my favorite cuisine. I haven't had a dish here, that I wouldn't have liked and I never grow tired of it or bored with it (and that comes from a person, who is not a foodie, I don't normally get excited about having something to eat, but this place is just amazing). Staff members are friendly and attentive, prices are decent, layout of the restaurant is fine, wine selection is good. Absolutely love it.

Excellent food, outstanding service

Everyone at Srivilai is so kind and accommodating. We are vegans and one of us has an allergy, and the employees are wonderful at steering us through the menu and customizing dishes. Every dish we've had here has been excellent, with super fresh ingredients and tons of flavor. A local gem for sure!
