Great place for drinks or dinner. Awesome atmosphere! It is a def place to visit if your down town. Tuna is the bomb! And great selection of beers.

Good food and eclectic atmosphere with good but not great service. In Deep Ellum where eclectic fits right in.

Totally overated: we went there yesterday and the waitress and waiter did not know what they were doing. Ordered pasta that had the cheese cooked inside WITH THE PASTA! The salad leaves were old, the service slow, the music unbearable. The beer, listed $3.50 on the menu, but charged $4.25 in the final bill. Tuna steak small, not cooked well, definitely served badly. Really bad place. stay away.

We strolled in for a drink or two, and were greeted by the bartender, and he was very helpful. We didnt eat here, but maybe should have, as the people near us ordered food and it looked amazing. We ate elsewhere, and regretted it. Good themed bar and we enjoyed the drinks and service

The food, the atmosphere are simple and great. I always invite my out of town guests to experience the best of Deep Ellum, and the have always enjoyed!

... but it bears repeating: try the tuna sandwich. It's a big, glorious slab of high grade tuna steak. Very good. The place is great, and the staff is stellar. A friend in the area recommended St. Pete's, and we'd definitely return, should our road lead us back to Dallas.

An old fav in Deep Ellum. Surprisingly, they also have great hot wings.

They have the best burgers, best pasta, pizza in town

To call St. Pete's the best of Dallas is really an understatement. This is one of the most comfortable bars, and best restaurants in the city and beyond. The menu is amazing, from the bar food, to the tuna steaks, to the baklava. The drinks are strong, the service is friendly and of course, Pete is a rock star. It's worth the trip, no matter how far that trip is.

Business lunch meeting and guest had the fish and chips which were good. I had the burger with bacon and pepper jack cheese which was just ok. Disappointed with the lukewarm temp of burger. Fries were also not freshly cooked or hot. The waiter was super which made it an okay visit overall. Bummer as they've been better in past. Hope they're not slipping!

Buy the milk that a Dairy Farmer drinks and get your Tuna steaks from St Pete. Avid Fisherman with his trophy's mounted everywhere in this place. Great for lunch His moo cow steaks are good as well. Great Drinks and friendly atmosphere I recommend

This bar/grill is a must when in Deep Ellum! Excellent service and drinks! Don't forget the mozzarella sticks bc they are the best you have had. The decor is festive to the name as is the great patio! It's a staple and not to be missed!

Ate here twice in the last two weeks, both times the meals were fantastic. First time I had the Chicken Caesar Salad, and the next the chicken fired steak. My friend had the Greek salad and my wife had the BLT. Everything was great, they have a wide selection on the menus. A very nice place to eat, either inside or on the patio (dog friendly). Don't miss the local fare.

all types of food! BEER

I hope you love Petes place as much as I do. St. Pete's is a bar restaurant in the Deep Elum Area of downtown Dallas. Highly recommend the entire area for it Artsy community with Breweries, bakeries, hair cuts, antiques,BBQ, etc.. But as far as Pete's goes this place is a must stop in. Very well decorated with marlins, fishing lures, reels creels Hunting items and every misc cool piece of chintz you can think of, it will keep you busy panning the walls the entire time you are within. Great bar for beer and spirits with local micros and top shelf available. You would think that this would not be a place for a great meal. It is truly a surprise. Assortments of pastas and sauces to die for in flavor and a dancing Marlin tuna steak that is sashimi grade and will make your mouth water. We also had the tacos and a steak and all were very top shelf. Come give this a try to eat and then explore this wonderful down town area. You will come back again

As always this place was awesome. Great atmosphere! Lived in Dallas for 8 years and fell in love with this place. Tuna sandwich is amazing with some French fries and water... Tuna steak is sushi grade so don't be scared

Meh, just an average place. Service, food, drinks just average. I do like the atmosphere, but that doesn't help the food...

The food looked very good, but we just had drinks. Service was good, but only one bartender so she was extremely busy.

We used to live down the street from St. Pete's. It was our favorite go to place for tuna steaks. We were back in town from the east coast and stopped by for a tuna burger. The tuna was good but they've changed the dressing from cucumber wasabi to something else. It just wasn't as good. We walked away feeling a bit cheated.

This is the first we ate this Tuna Crustini and although it was an appetizer but it was so delicious and our friend ordered Lasagna and he said it was soo good that he didn't care for snacks while we watched football game.

We are always on the lookout for great local places to eat. This fit the bill perfectly. I am writing this as I am waiting for the check. JD was a great server, had a great ability to connect with us. Menu was surprising large and everything seemed fresh (not out of the freezer). And the beer selection, awesome. We will be back!!

I loved the food, the customer service was excellent, along with great prices and a fun atmosphere. There really is a wide range of food.. As well as seating. Some sit at the bar, and watch the game on the flat screen, some sit at the tables with families, dates, etc. You didnt get the feeling of creepy drunks trying to hit on you, either, which is always a plus! I had the burger that was incredible, and I also enjoyed the blue fish he adds to your drink, instead of an umbrella, very unique touch!

They have the best atmosphere, food, and drinks in Dallas. If you go on a week day you might even meet "st Pete" if you're lucky! Look for the Greek that answers to Pete and that's the man himself!! Love this place.

I love the feeling & ambiance! The food and choices are always terrific! The tuna is exceptional! The burgers are 1st rate! BIG selection of brew for beer lovers! Revolver beer is worth it!!! The mixed drinks are well done, they have professional bar tenders here!!! Fun and good quality food to top it off! This is the Deep Ellum bar to visit for food and drinks! Tell Pete I sent you, he's the funny guy behind the bar some nights!

I really enjoy this place. The bar staff are always so friendly and just an overall warm feeling I get when I'm there. The food is great, the drinks are great and I can't rant enough that when I order Stella Artois, it actually comes in a Chalice! Brownie points for that. Paul is the best btw!! :)

My first time in the Deep Ellum area and decided to try this place out. It was a pretty neat venue and since I like to go fishing, it was cool to see everything inside. The staff that was working were all very nice to chat with and provided great service. It was a slow night when I was there so there were 3 or 4 other employees sitting at a table just socializing and were somewhat loud which I thought was a little unprofessional. Either way, they weren't hurting anything and I could sympathize with their boredom from personal experiences in the past. The food itself was fine. I got something a little bit different and new to me which was tasty, but just not what I was expecting. I would come here again if I found myself back in the area.

good hole in the wall joint

Dined on calamari and ahi tuna crostini and beers for our appetizers. Discovered Dallas Blonde and really enjoyed the taste of this local beer. I had the burger for dinner and opted to try the tater tots as our server convinced me they were homemade.....they tasted like frozen Ore Ida..... Our server was an outgoing college student who was able to keep up with the friendly banter - sadly the food didn't measure up to his personality!

I was not impressed with the food but atmosphere is good. Nice patio for drinks and such. Good selection of beers.

We had a large group at St. Pete's including children. The service was friendly and engaging. The food was OK, not great. I'd agree the tuna sandwich is the best thing on the menu, especially if you get it seared. The other items ordered, were, well, nothing special. Though the place had great service and a great, cool, funky atmosphere the food seemed it bit pricey for what you. Go for the seared tuna sandwich, a couple of beers and to check out the cool environment otherwise you may be disappointed.

There are a lot of better restaurants out there.

While the food is good (try the humus with veggies) the wait staff sets this restaurant apart from the usual fare.

We had a very poor experience at St. Pete's. Overall the food was average at best. Two of the orders were messed up - the Tuna Salad was served as a Tuna Sandwich, one Tuna Sandwich order was missing the Jack Cheese. The fried Mushrooms were overcooked and pretty tasteless. The Chicken Fried Chicken Sandwich was the worst I've had in a long time. Two of the drink orders were also messed up - the Gin and Tonic was not a Gin and Tonic (not sure what it was); same problem with the Vodka and Club Soda. They still charged us for those drinks even though they were sent back. Overall it was a very disappointing experience.

We actually stopped at the Dancing Marlin when we discovered that Pecan Lodge BBQ was closed on Mondays... and glad we did. We'd already paid for parking in the lot next to the Angry Dog and the Dancing Marlin is just next door. We walked in to a relatively empty bar/restaurant and were immediately seated and drink orders taken by the bartender and the waitress soon followed. They were both quick and friendly. I had the Ahi Tuna sandwich, rare and it was really good. A small Pasta Salad on the side. I was very pleased with the sandwich, it was cooked perfectly, just warm enough, with a great taste. My business associate had the Fish and Chips and since the plate was cleaned, I'm assuming he liked his as well. The building interior has a lot of dead animals and large fish hung on the walls, with several TVs playing sports reruns. I would imagine that it could get lively around Happy Hour. I'd definitely come back here for lunch again, especially on a Monday!

I'm from Dallas, have been coming to St. Petes for the burgers and atmosphere for 20 years. Fish and Chips, swordfish sandwich also very good. Really good food, very relaxing and laid back atmosphere. When I'm anywhere close, I stop here for lunch.

Love the fun, relaxed atmosphere, the delicious menu, and, of course, the fantastic service. I've been going here for years and it is one of my all time favorites. My favorite dish is the Dancing Tuna Sandwich, jalapenos on the side, with pasta! As a matter of fact, I'll head there today. Just wish the weather were better to hang out on their wonderful patio! See you there soon!

Very nice atmosphere, great menu, good service, and good prices. I had the catfish plate, two HUGE filets, cooked perfect, and awesome flavor. Looking forward to going back.

Great food, Rex or Pete behind the bar are very personable and attentive to your needs. I always look forward to my next visit!

We stopped in late one night (about 9:30) and were very impressed. The atmosphere is dark paneling, fishing trophies, some TV's with sports, a long bar, dressed-up waitstaff. Pete Zotos, the owner, was tending bar. Pete was very welcoming, recommended some good beers for us (I really liked Texas Ale Project's Fire Ant Funeral!), took our dinner orders, our food came pretty quickly - and our dinners were very good. Prices are very reasonable. Thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, but even more so, interacting and talking with Pete. A friendly guy who wants to make sure you are a happy customer. A very good place to eat!

Lots of fish decor in an old building with original hardwood floors and a beautiful old bar. Happy Hour seemed to be a big hit there for the locals. We got there around 6:30 for a meal. The food was good but not fantastic. The service was very good and we enjoyed our meal. our children received coloring material and a couple of plastic fish for souvenirs. I had the tuna sandwich which was fresh and good flavor. The calimari was pretty chewy. The salads were very fresh.

We just happened upon this spot before going to Music Hall. Tuna was outstanding. Dumplings and sauce yummy. All the wait staff were helpful and fun. Called us a cab for the show.

Average value.

We love this place!! We always feel great as soon as we walk in. We usually don't have to wait for a table and the service is always perfect. The pizza is delicious! The sauce is a little sweet but everything else is perfect for my taste. My husband loves the tuna sandwich! But our very favorite is the burger. We love to add fresh jalapeños to it. Also the crab cakes are addicting! We always ask for a side of horseradish to mix into the cocktail sauce....zestfully delicious! Their dinner salad is my favorite dinner salad. The bowl they serve it in is always cold and the croutons are so light and crunchy but not hard. These are our favorite things to order and what we crave when we dine here so I'm not familiar with other items on the menu. I love the atmosphere here too. On Friday and Saturday nights there's always a talented acoustic performer to enjoy while I'm having a cold, delicious Stella. We'll sometimes slink up to the bar on Sunday and catch some of the (Cowboy's) game on tv. It's in Deep Ellum and full of old charm and character. We have lived in Dallas all of our lives and this is definitely our favorite place.

I recently tried St Pete's Dancing Marlin and had an enjoyable experience. When I first stepped in I noticed the long bar on the left side, worn wooden floors and the hundreds of sailfish mounted on the wall. The food recommendation was the tuna steak sandwich which I ordered medium rare with fries and the soup of the day...tomato basil with shredded chicken. Everything was perfect and the portions were generous. This is another Deep Ellum restaurant that I'll put into my rotation.

St Pete's a great bar. We have been here several times and the service is top notch. The provide a great pour and the atmosphere is really a lot of fun. Highly recommend St. Pete's.

Came for the burger🍔.. Been enjoying it for 20 years.. One of those things that doesn't need to change, it's just good.. Plus the beer 🍺 is in a frozen glass icing from the foam.

We stumbled onto St. Pete's Dancing Marlin in July while walking around in the Deep Ellum district on Dallas. The restaurant/bar has a neat pub ambiance that's decorated with lots of fishing memorabilia. We enjoyed the friendly bartenders and had fun sampling some of their beers. Make sure to stop here for some pasta!

You can always count on this restaurant for a good burger and fries. It's been here for a long time and has a regular clientele.

They have a nice atmosphere, good appetizers. The bartender can make any drink you know or don't know. Very good drinks

St. Pete's is a fun place with an atmosphere where all the walls and ceiling are covered with something. One wall was covered with neon beer signs. The ceiling is full of very large fish. It's a fun place to eat and drink and the prices are very reasonable. A very good place to eat and drink.

My wife and I had an early dinner at St. Pete's on a Friday. The first problem (and we should have already known it would be) is the parking - or lack thereof - in Deep Ellum. Street parking is metered after 6:00 pm and only takes coins or a City of Dallas parking app, neither of which we had. The first lot we tried was $20 so we kept looking and finally found one for "only" $10. Now for St. Pete's. The food was just barely ok. I had the chicken fried steak, which was large but not very tasty nor was the cream gravy on it. My wife had a shrimp pasta with a red, somewhat spicey, sauce. She won't eat seafood unless it's cooked well done and asked the server for it to be that way. It wasn't, even after being sent back for additional cooking. Also, our server set down our dishes and said she'd be right back with rolls. She wasn't right back and neglected to give us any silverware. We finally asked another server for some. When the rolls came in a basket we looked for butter and didn't see any and once again asked another server for some. Before they returned, our server came up and said the butter was under the rolls. Yes tit was, under two layers of rolls! Now the next issue. Only the dinner tables in the bar area were available due to a wedding party reserving the side room and patio. However, some of the wedding party stood at the bar next to our table and were the loudest, most obnoxious people ever. All-in-all Deep Ellum and almost every restaurant/bar in it are for the young partying crowd, certainly not for senior adults and that is why we will never return there. And for God's sake, will the City of Dallas do something about the parking problems in Deep Ellum and Lower Greenville!

Amazing staff, delicious and extremely varied menu, hilarious owner, and beautiful coastal environment! Our bartender Paul was one of the best bartenders I've met in the entire world!

Great staff and excellent service. Lots of choices for your tastes and good seating inside and on the covered patio.

Best burger with real cheddar. Had a great pasta dish with sausage. All in all, great food. Great service at bar.

OK, so you don't usually go to a bar to get a rare tuna steak as an entree, on a sandwich or on your salad. Time to change your mind. The food here is great, and the servings are ample. The atmosphere is funky to say the least - a little bit of the coast in the middle of Dallas. Lots of good local beers are available. The outdoor seating is great and you can bring your dog.

St. Pete's Dancing Marlin on Commerce Street is a casual dining bar in the heart of Dallas' eclectic Deep Ellum neighborhood. Its right behind the new Bomb Factory music venue and a great place to go before or after a concert. The food is American, but with a few dashes of Greek and even, Cajun flare, reflecting the personality of the owner/bartender Pete Zotos. Pete tends bar often and when he does, the experience is definitely enhanced by jokes and banter. The place has a patio which is nice this time of year after the Texas heat subsides. Food: I ate the grilled cheese on rye sandwich with three kinds of cheeses on a marble rye bread. It came with huge french fries, fresh cut. It was fantastic. I asked them to add sliced jalapenos into the sandwich before grilling and they did it perfectly. The menu is the starting point, and they are happy to customize any dish to your liking. On another occasion, I had the tuna burger, and it was a huge slab of grilled tuna on a bun, not "ground tuna" so the word burger is a little misleading. Pete is a big fishing nut, so the fish are fantastic, whether grilled or baked. Drinks: Strong, well poured with a nice well brand and any call liquor. A big selection of beers, including the best locals like Lakewood Lager. Crowd: A very diverse crowd, all races, ages and incomes. Its a place that likes people and food.

Went with some work buddies for lunch. It's just not that good. Tuna sandwich was ok - but not great. Friend's CFS looked like it had been frozen and the gravy was bland. Too many other great places in Deep Ellum to go for lunch instead like Angry Dog, Cane Rosso or Uncle Ubers.

The fish and chips here are fantastic as was everything else we enjoyed. Nice selection of beers and liquors. Service was very prompt and helpful. Kitchy decor was very entertaining.

My husband and I were in town on business and decided to wander Deep Ellum. We got in to St. Pete's right before close and had great conversation with the owner, Pete. Such a great guy, very passionate about his work (and fishing!). We got to have a couple locally brewed beers at the bar. The menu looked fantastic, but too bad we were there too late to eat. We will definitely go back to visit and get some food!! Pinterest has this as one of top ten places to eat, so it's a MUST DO!! Tell Pete Alissa & Zach sent you. ;)

Great food, great service and cold beer. It is the GO TO for us in Deep Ellum before a night out, concert, or just for dinner and drinks. Everything on the menu is well prepared and tasty, service is outstanding! We keep trying new places but keep coming back home!

This place had great good. I definitely recommend the chicken fried tuna sandwich! It was so good. Service was great. Nice atmosphere. We will definitely go back again.

Went in on Sunday afternoon for lunch and found this amazing atmosphere where it seemed liked everyone knows everyone by name. I sat at the bar and met Left, our bartender who turns out to be a big sports fan, like myself. After I night mint tea, I ordered a marinated grilled chicken breast with fettuccine alfredo along with a side salad. Service was prompt, food was on point and atmosphere was delightful. If you happen to be in the east downtown Dallas - Deep Ellum, stop by and give this restaurant a try.

St. Pete's has been a go-to for many years. I particularly like their tuna sandwich. The grade of tuna is very good.

You can never go wrong with the Grilled Chicken Salad or the Chin Chin Chicken Sandwich!

Had a couple drinks at Pete's on a Sunday along with some pizza. Paul the bartender was great, and my drinks never went empty. Pizza was fantastic. Cool atmosphere with lots of cool stuff on the walls. Absolutely worth a stop.

Went here for a quick bite and I must say I wasn't impressed. The service at the bar was great but the food was lacking. I ordered grilled veggies and chicken only to have the vegetables come out swimming in oil and well overcooked. I can't recommend what I had to anyone. I'd try one of the other restaurants nearby first.

I am a local that works down the street. I go here with a coworker often and enjoy the lunch scene. The staff members are friendly, the service is quick, and the food is good. I usually get the fish and chips (given the sea theme), but the burger is a hidden gem. And don't forget to ask if Pete made any chocolate cake for the day!

we always love going to this place, their wings are great and their sandwiches too. Great patio too, just a nice place to hang out, we love the bartender Paul, he is great

For many many years, this place is just great food. You will find the best burger in town. Best pasta dishes. The bartender is always very attentive and great service

You walk in to what looks like for the most part, a dark pub. Wood floors, wood tables, wood waiters. No wait, I think they were regular humans. I ordered the SPDM Club Sandwich to play it safe, as well as the Soup du Jour because it was cold outside. The food was excellent, and there was more than enough food. The menu is cheap ($7-10) for lunch items as such a quality and quantity, so that pleased me. I would have had a beer or 6, but for some reason my place of employment would have been upset at my state following such a venture. They have a large bar with 20+ beer labels and any cocktail you might desire, so it's definitely a place to get a drink as well. Anyway, I'm going back. You should try it.

The staff was friendly, the service was great, but I made the wrong choice. In as much as I had never had a veggie burger, I decided to try it. I do not recommend it. It was dry and tasteless. The fries were hot and tasty. This was a wrong choice for me. My friend had the tuna, it looked and smelled great. The food aroma was good. Parking was convenient. The reputation of Deep Ellum makes me think, I would not visit after dark. Plan your visit during the lunch hour and you should have no problems. Street people will ask for money. I gave. I did not want to chance a vandalized car on my return. James L. Hibbert

Not really a "seafood place". But the steaks are very good. I heard the chicken fried steak was really quite good here as well. I haven't tried the Tuna yet... but maybe on my next visit. I would certainly recommend this spot.

Went for dinner. The place was empty. Food was good. Service was good. This isn't a fancy restaurant but a good place for a beer and some dinner. When the check came there was an unpublished credit card fee. I consider it unethical to charge a different price than then menu. I know lots of places do it, but it doesn't make it right. Would have given it a 5 if they had the credit and cash price listed on the menu.

St. Pete's is one of the oldest, best established restaurants in Deep Ellum. It has a loyal following and can get crowded anytime. It has one of the best bars in Dallas and features great musicians during the evenings. The patio is the best. The restaurant offers everything from excellent salads to burgers and steaks. It's very family friendly. Excellent food and personable and friendly servers.

We were ready for some fun after two days of sitting so 18 of us descended on St. Pete's recommended by a friend. The atmosphere was funky but not kitsch bad taste every restaurant has the same junk on the walls but very cool, unusual where the hell did they find that kind of stuff. Our large group overwhelmed the wait staff and kitchen a bit, but the food was tasty and though we knew that they were slammed the staff were friendly, smiling and accommodating. My favorite thing, they removed our dishes quickly as we were finished eating so we didn't have to sit over dirty plates while waiting for the others to finish.
Tuna Diablo to die for
This is a fantastic place to grab a quick bite before a night of Deep Ellum partying! Located in the thick of everything DE, it has a great menu to choose from, especially the Tuna Steak with Diablo sauce!! You can get the Diablo HOT too, but beware! They'll serve you a carton of chocolate milk even with the regular Diablo, just sayin'! Chance was our waiter, and I didn't have to tell him we were in a hurry, we were greeted immediately, orders taken and food was out within about 10 minutes! I'm coming back for sure, and will try the HOT Diablo next time!
