When we were out for a long walk in the rain we stopped here for a coffee anytime dry off a bit. The three of us all had Americano coffees which were good. It’s a nice spacious cafe with lots of room. The toilets were quite clean.

Coffee was good as ever, but the lady at the counter could do with retraining in manners. I asked if I could have a receipt & I don't think she knew how to do that, then tried to tell me the receipt machine was broken, she didn't seem as if she could be bothered either way. 6/10

The coffee and choice of breakfasts were really good, and the free wifi kept us in touch with our friends/family. being popular, the queuing could take a while some times.

Everyone working was super nice. The service was so good. I checked out and then needed pennies and the cashier went and got pennies from the back for me, since the cash register was closed.

This is a beautiful, peaceful, spacious Starbucks that I frequent very spring during a work trip. My tip: if you are staying in Fisherman's Wharf you should start your day here or at 8AM Cafe, then walk along the beach and up the Mason Fort walkway. Tip: there are often one or two homeless in the Starbucks and it's all good but when I was visiting recently, someone took the breakfast sandwiches from the delivery area and when I went to get my food the Starbucks staff said someone must have stolen it. So if you order food, stand near where they hand out coffee so you are sure to get your order. Otherwise, what a great location and super nice staff!

We have gone to this Starbucks several times. Its one of the larger Starbucks with lots of great places to sit. The service is good, And the coffee drinks and ice tea are too. Its one of my favorite Starbucks locations.

Could go if you are in the fisherman wharf area. Very near to Ghiradelli square and Lombard area. Really loved the ambience and the unique architecture

When we arrived from New York City and caught the BART from the airport, as soon as we disembarked with our luggage at Union Square, we firstly stopped at this Star Bucks. We stopped for a coffee and cake. The icing on the cake was that it too had free WiFi and so, we were able to inform our loved ones that we arrived safely at San Francisco.

This is by far the best Starbucks I've visited. Lovely setup and great staff (as virtually all Starbucks staff are) I would rate this better than most purely on how it looked inside and it's cleanliness. Look, it's a coffee shop selling some pretentious people a coffee with every possibility option of how they can order it...every option!

When you are on morning #1 from the East Coast, you are up WAY earlier than the sleepy west coasters...thankfully this Starbucks was open A LOT earlier than the hotel restaurant. In addition, it was a beautiful morning to drink our coffee while walking along the bay beach area right in the area.

Had our morning coffee and the fantastic breakfast bun here each of our 5 days in the city. great way to get you going and right next to the cable car turnaround. friendly staff.

Do not understand a need to review as this is a chain... But if you are asking about their service, staff was terrific and interested in the customers satisfaction

Located right behind the Argonaut Hotel on the wharf. We had coffee every morning of our vacation due to the friendly staff and clean store.

Swift to make our drinks, hassle free service, plenty of available seating inside. Nothing out of the ordinary here at this Starbucks.

I like this Starbucks which is at Beach and Hyde in San Francisco. This is a stylish Starbucks with lots of great seating and WIFI. It has a view of the cable cars area (near Fisherman Wharf - Ghiradelli Square).

I have been working with this location now for two years and they have gone the extra mile to be helpful and server our groups needs, all while taking great care of their regulars and tourists. I run a small study group in the City, once a month and this location has been stellar in their service and going the extra mile. Each month I pick up a series of Travelers Packs of Coffee or an insulated Cambro. They always have tried to make as easy for me as possible and have even meet me out on the street to help me return the large Cambro container. You guys have been the best!!!!!

Visited today (Feb 20,2019) We were served quickly. Coffees came out quickly and were hot! Fabulous friendly service from the chap that took my order (young lad with round glasses) The store was clean & tidy The restrooms needed attention though. Only 1 toilet in the ladies room had toilet covers and neither had toilet paper.

Larger than most Starbuck locations I have been to. They had prepackaged meals as well as a grill counter. We ordered cooked breakfast and also picked up a prepackaged meal. They also sell bananas. Lots of seating and clean restrooms. Located across the street from the cable car turn-around.

The first time i had Starbucks was in Bangkok. Just because all the Starbucks in Manila was always jampack with people. And that was 14 years ago. What can i say about Starbucks, except that they are always full, their taste is consistent and it gives you a feeling that your house or office is just around the corner. You don't feel homesick when there is a Starbucks around.

This is a large outlet and sees a lot of traffic, but the usual cozy ambiance is replaced by a more sterile feel and less comfortable seating. Service was efficient though and the location is good.

I regularly get coffees from Starbucks in US and UK. I made the mistake of visiting this branch, what a disappointment. It was 5am, not busy, the staff in particular Calvin were rude and unhelpful. If you can't break a $50 bill for an order there is more courteous way to say than Calvin's way. When asked for a receipt, a normal request, don't forget and go back to chatting with colleagues - it's just rude and ignorant. Be clear on where you want me to pay and collect my drinks and not be so dis-organised. Very disappointed, not what I expect from Starbucks not a nice experience whilst on holiday. BE WARNED!

I dont really go to coffee shops. BUT this was a nice experience and it was very open lots of places to sit and talk with friends. Right behind Argonaut hotel worth a stop.

Starbucks served coffee at a public venue for free just because they thought that it was the right thing to do. This makes me loyal to the brand forever, not to mention the coffee is as good at it gets.

YUM as always. different city doesn't change a way this company always delivers the best products. You can always count on them to have your drink just the way you want it. Love me starbucks even in San Fran

Very comfortable, couches and chairs are nice touch. Service good. Convenient location. Coffee and oatmeal good as always.

Its Starbucks. I have always been a fan but not of their coffee. I like their specialty drinks like the lattes. I can always count on them for a pick me up when needed. This location was nice as it was close to some tourist things nearby and was a nice open Starbucks. Got my latte drink quickly and tasted as expected.

We tried Starbucks in three different cities in the USA. They all have in common the worst cappuccino coffee, staff who obviously dont want to be there and long queues of customers who were not happy.

The Starbucks behind the Argonaut hotel is great! Well located and opens early in the morning for that first cup!

As any aussie will tell you, Starbucks is scraping the bottom of the barrel when it comes to coffee, but it's generally better than most options when travelling. I have to say that all 'round, the latte's were much better in San Fran generally than Vegas, LA and San Diego! The staff were great here also.

Being right opposite the Hyde St Trolley terminus, it is a very convenient stop in place. Surprisingly, not too many easily found coffee stops in this part of Fisherman's Wharf, and it offers a good range of seating options, including booths for laptop users

We were staying nearby in SF and used this Starbucks heavily for the duration of our visit as it was great. The offering is the usual Starbucks stuff but all the staff were very friendly & helpful and the place was kept impeccably clean. We went at different times of the day on our various visits and standards were maintained all the time. This branch is busy, but not as busy as many large Starbucks seem to be: this may be because they seemed very efficient at getting food and drink out super-fast. If only all Starbucks were like this one, we might visit them more!

This was one of the larger Starbucks that I've seen with quite a bit of room to sit. That said, they had to make my drink three times....and it was a simple one.

Typical Starbucks. Space felt instantly welcoming. Though it's a large space, it still felt cozy. Friendly service

I am not a coffee drinker but my husband loves Starbucks- we stopped in here to get out of the heat while waiting for a tour we would be on- he got his favorite-- - we got something to eat- plenty of room to sit- bathrooms clean and service was excellent

We started each day with coffee and tea from Starbucks in Fisherman's Wharf. My husband is the coffee drinker and always finds it a treat to have a Starbuck's nearby. It's a favorite and this one was as well. He looked forward to it each morning.

They have obviously tried quite hard with this one, the interior design is a break from the corporate standard and quite interesting. They have a range of interesting coffees to try. It has a surprising amount of space inside rather than being crammed with as many tables and seats as possible. good to see that they are not resting on a any laurels.

One and only Starbucks visit as I was as disappointed at expected. I am not a coffee snob but average does not describe this. Grumpy, impatient staff.

What can one say about a Starbucks, they do coffee and this one does it well, the service was good even though it was busy

Desperate for coffee we resorted to Starbucks on a recent trip to San Francisco. It’s bad enough the coffee is watery and way too hot, but the restaurant was filthy. We couldn’t even sit at a table it was so dirty and when I asked for a cloth to clean it, the young man behind the counter looked at me as though I was asking him to give me his mobile phone. Finally a young lass decided to sweep the floor that looked like it hadn’t seen a broom for weeks and couldn’t have been more haphazard if she tried. The windows were so dirty you couldn’t see through them and the toilets were feral.

If you're looking for a great cup of coffee or tea plus delicious breakfast sandwiches this Starbucks delivered. We had a large coffee and tea , two breakfast sandwiches and a slice of banana nut bread for 15 dollars. You can't beat that price in San Francisco

Conveniently set in a tourist area, this Starbucks can quickly satisfy your craving for caffeine or a good Green Tea Lemonade.

First customer of the day and what a lovely store! Probably the largest Starbucks I've been in. One block up the hill from the Argonaut Hotel. Across the street corner from See's Candies

This location is near Fisherman's Wharf so it attracts a consistent group of visitors looking for a rest and some coffee. We had some business in the area and this was a good stop for us once we were done.

The staff are very friendly and remember the regulars. The product is what you expect, and the service is friendly and efficient.

Wanted ice cream and decided to get it later at night and the shop was open til 10 pm and has a nice selection of flavor. Would go back for another flavor but had to leave town.

Nice atmosphere for a Starbucks. Very comfortable seating, quiet too. Nice place to people watch as they hurry to and from work.

This is a good place to get a coffee drink. We took ours with us but there are places to sit here and relax.

On vacation went to the deplorable Starbucks on Jones street. This has to be the worst in their system. The rest of my vacation I went daily to the beach street location which was clean, friendly, etc. etc. These two stores a block apart are the opposite ends of the spectrum.

On each of our 4 days in SF we had morning buns, cappucino and mocha cookie crubmled frappucino. Excellent!

My husband and I are staying at the Argonaut hotel and this is only a short walk away for our morning coffee, which is decent. We noticed that it was one of the largest Starbucks stores that we have been into while we have been in America. The service was quick and our coffees were made quickly. They were nice and hot too on a cool day.

When there's a roastery on every corner in the city, with each one better than the corner before, why pay so much for second rate in favor of consistency. Unless you need a chair for your laptop.

You always know what you are getting with a Starbucks coffee and very nice they were too, I would recommend these to anyone

we ate breakfast here 5 mornings in a row, great coffee and quick service. basic breaky but no fuss easy

This Starbucks is just down from Ghiradelli Square and up from the Wharf, so you can't beat the location for sure. That probably accounts for why it's so busy all the time, which is a definite detriment and knocks down my rating. Coffee is great, but slow. ...

HUGE Starbucks with great service. I sat here each morning for about an hour and was very pleased with the service and attentiveness of the team.

Nipped in here for breakfast before seeing the sights in the nearby area. It has all the usual Starbucks fare plus the free wi fi which is useful. Staff were helpful and efficient.

Great coffee and nice selection of pastries, sandwiches to get you started or keep you going at a reasonable price.

It's just a Starbucks but it's a very good Starbucks with lots of seating and staff far more pleasant than is usual.

Waited forever for an iced tea... Friendly staff but needs more baristas. Starbucks should have more employees to handle business. Not the employees fault.

..............another marvellous example of how the Yanks 'sell' us their dream, the reality is quite different. Tea, tasteless and I mean tasteless. Coffee weak as water, ask for a Cappuccino you'll get an espresso and a cup of foam. The home of coffee is Italy, and in the UK it's Costa or Nero, both wipe the floor with Starbucks!

Stopped by for my morning cafe mocha and a bagel. Service was great and store was clean. THe staff was very pleasant and friendly.

Starbucks on every corner in city. Always available, fast service. When you are away it is nice to find a place you know and can expect the same quality.

Can't go wrong with Starbucks for a quick breakfast oatmeal and morning jolt, but also buying a unique San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge themed Starbucks card with $10 loaded on it makes a terrific gift for those at home that they will use and is memorable of your trip.

Moved from across street to previous restaurant . Lots of room inside, they could use more servers, only saw 2 there for large volume of people. Good location, across street from Hyde cable car area.

The Starbucks was just outside our window and across the street from our hotel room at the Argonaut. After the first morning we discovered it and it became our morning breakfast ritual while in San Francisco.

Very clean and nice Starbucks. Fast service, yet very friendly. I really like that Starbucks has tasty, nutritious boxed snacks, along with Bakery items. It's a good place to rest and grab a quick bite. Starbucks chain is consistent in quality, so a reliable place for travelers.

This is a beautiful location. Great area. The interior was clean and very nice. Great place to hang. Our service was fast and friendly. Drinks and food was good.

I, like many of us, visit Starbucks' throughout the world. There may be others like this location, but I can't say. This one is the best I have visited. Lots of light, airy, plenty of seating and room to move around. Love the early 5am opening for those off to SFO for flights. One block from the bay and convenience to many wonderful sights. Grab a cup, bundle up if a chilly morning and watch the beautiful changing colors of the bay as the sun rises.

I honestly don't understand the love people have for Starbucks coffee, to me it is very ordinary and the staff at this particular outlet were not particularly friendly. Perhaps I struck them on a bad day. If you love Starbucks, this one is very well located to the shops and restaurants

Good place to grab a cup to go, your favorite specialty coffees are made here, the usual menu and quality. No surprises.

Large and popular location but clearly under managed--based on the horrific condition of the restrooms. Good thing I came here for fresh coffee and could hold it until I was back at my hotel room to recycle!

Went to several different Starbucks'. Nothing unusual. They were all clean and exactly what you would expect from any Starbucks.

Stayed at the Argonaut and we made a daily pilgrimage for breakfast and coffee drinks. One of the largest and nicest Starbucks I have ever been in! Beautifully done, super helpful staff, and I bought my Starbuck San Francisco mugs here....starting a travel tradition.

I ordered my husband a decaf espresso by mistake. (His usual drink.) Realized he needed a little caffeine and the barista insisted we take the caffeinated shot for no charge. Left San Francisco with a cute SBux cup of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The comfort of having good coffee. Their egg bites are a relatively healthy options. Quickest service ever! The barista knew how to make a good drink

This Starbucks use to be on the backside of the Argonaut Hotel, which was very small and cramped. They have moved directly across the street and the space is so much better. Plenty of sitting, clean, access for folks with strollers/wheelchairs with relatively quick service. I've gotten coffee and breakfast sandwiches from here and I haven't had a complaint yet.

I liked everything. There is a great Stabucks outlet close by to the Argonaut hotel. I took time out to determine that they uphold the fine standards of Starbucks coffee you would expect to find anywhere.

Because I knew the service would be quick and the dark roast coffee-of-the-day would satisfy, I entered. As Starbucks go, this was on the fancy side, with enough seating to tempt me to get comfy. But I had stepped in in a hurry.

and this Starbucks was no different then the rest. Quality beverages, snacks and consistent service is what keeps me coming back.

Starbucks is a perfect place around the area to grab a good coffee on the go. It's open early and the staff in the store is amazing. Great spot!

Easy to recognize place to get a cup of coffee for the day after all the price here is reasonable - not much different even after currency exchange.

Big, spacious and lots of places to sit and connect. The space is set up i a way that you can sit and actually communicate and yet still be quiet

The good thing about stopping in at a Starbucks, is the familiarity no matter where you travel. This one was no different. Same familiar coffee taste, good pastries and free wifi to connect home! All good, friendly staff, place could have had more of the tables cleaned, but there were plenty empty ones available.

Handy location close to the start of of one of the cable cars. The first impression is that the place is very dirty. I lost the drive for having coffee due to the very high prices and the dirt on the floors. You can do better than this!

I think Starbucks has gotten a little to lax. Stores were filthy and service was understaffed. Starbucks, you better watch out....Nespresso is going to whip your butt and rightly so if you don't clean up your stores. Nespresso was heavenly for the same price point.

We went here after a long flight needing a coffee hit and was served by an extremely rude and uninterested staff member, Shay. The attitude, sighs and eye rolling was appalling. We bought two mugs and she got very annoyed when we added coffees to the order. My cappuccino was half, if that, filled in the take away cups. My husband wasn't asked if he wanted cream in his mocha, he just had to take it how it came. The store itself was nice, clean and spacious inside but it was the worst customer service we've ever experienced in our travels of USA.

Coffee was good, employees friendly. Its to bad because it was right across the street from where we were staying. The place needs a good cleaning unfortunately. Almost nowhere to sit and you probly wouldnt want to. Didnt feel safe there, just wanted to get coffe and RUN!!!!!!!!! Homeless ALWAYS there in the morning. Sad but true.

My teenagers and I stopped here one night on our walk back to our Wharf hotel after going to Ghiradelli Square. We picked up some snacks for dinner and breakfast to have at our hotel since we had a refrigerator. I like knowing the things that Starbucks carries, and this one was a very large Starbucks, and they had good variety. No big lines given the hour.

Why support an out-of-town mass retailer when there are s many nice mom & pop coffee places in The City? And Starbucks' biggest roasting plant is in Gardnerville, Nevada so that they this COrporate Giant can avoid paying a decent wage or deal with Unions that protect its employees. According to a former Starbucks retail employee, they use almost double the ground coffee generally recommended when brewing filtered coffee. This in turn greatly increases the caffeine content as well as the flavor of Starbucks coffee. SO buyer beware of Corporate Coffee

You know what you get at Starbucks. Coffee is good and we liked the breakfast options. This was our go to place in the morning, and we enjoyed the banter with the staff.

It's just a regular starbucks and if you have an addiction like me it will feed your fix. Located right where you need it! Open early if you have an early sailing to Alcatraz

We were down by the Bay side on a long walk and we stopped here near the Cable Cars for a coffee drink and were happy for the break.

This is a good-sized Starbucks, with lots of seating. It is needed, as it is a busy location! But, the baristas are both quick and very good, so lines move fast and seats are generally available. Had great lattes there!

We ordered three drinks and three pastries at this Starbucks. It was busy so they read back the order and as we left the latte was stone cold and incredibly sweet so I returned it and noticed they added on shots of vanilla charged us but it was never ordered or read back to us. So 2nd order I went with a simple earl grey tea. It was made right but we ended up paying $2.50 more for the drink (initial latte with unwanted shots of vanilla) and they were too busy to credit us the difference. No offer to make it right. The next day my spouse went in and ordered an earl grey tea again for me. They asked him a lot of questions about sweetener, milk, etc - it was a simple order -just tea. Why did they over complicate by asking add on questions. Perhaps those add ins are their profit strategy or just bad management.

After heading back from a cable car ride after heading downtown. Stopped in to get a blueberry scone and a Mocha Frappocino with a splash of raspberry. Not going to like at 4 pm in the afternoon I was a happy camper. Besides, I have not had one of these in at least 10 years. No counting calories this day. It made me happy. So good. Not to mention David the young Barista who waited on me was very nice. Great Customer Service!

The queue for here was out the door! Which isnt bad for business but everything was going very slow. Staff didnt really seem to know what they were doing. Coffee turned out ok but i bought a chocolate cookie from here, walked back to the hotel to eat it and it was so stale it was like dust, it made me feel a bit sick! I hate to think where it came from but where ever it was it had been there a long time! Check your cakes before you leave
Nice location, great employees
Great location with lots a seating and a Clover coffee machine for those who want the Reserve coffees. I arrived early (approximately 5:15 a couple of mornings in a row and each time received wonderful service and food.
