I went for my birthday 6/17, my boyfriend was asked if he had any weapons and pat down at the door by the door man. The guy went as far as to go inside the waist band of his pants! I'm sure there are only select patrons they treat like that. (AA) The food was subpar. I've had better steak, lobster Mac and crab cakes for way less. The service was ok and the experience was just ok. I've emailed the restaurant about my experience and no one has reached out. Do yourself a favor dine somewhere else, the food and the service will most definitely be a lot better.

I had such an unforgettable, multi-sensory experience throughout each course. I loved that my cocktail came with a rose. The dramatic tableside meat presentations and extravagant desserts were definitely photo-worthy! The tomahawk steak was so juicy and flavorful. They serve only certified American,Australian and Japanese Wagyu. This was one delicious, fine and entertaining dining experience! I will be back for brunch. What I tried: Crab cake Tomahawk Lobster Mac and Cheese Broccolini Cocktails: Lychee & Rose Martini Samurai Armor Giant Ice Cream Sundae When you go to @steakmarketatl let them know @ServingLooksATL sent you!

Was there to celebrate my daughters birthday first time there not impressed by being searched by someone claimed to be security first off I understand being secured but this was a turn off second off the service was not great the steaks were tough with a lot of fat we detected that really everything was really over priced as far as the steaks you do nor need to pay extra for some gold on a steak what a cost to make an impression so the server do not come back to the table if your not ordering a Neiman Marcus steak they stop service at the table you do not see them again and the drink demonstration is ok but not all that it cost for a top shelf cocktail some little ice smoke at the table and some rose petals you should get a dozen of fresh roses that would be more impressive not sure if there was a manager’the server wanted someone in our party to eat a steak that was all fat upon cutting instead of returning it people do eat fat meat for over a 1000.00 meal it was not worth it will say the beef ribs were good but off course the higher the bill is the more the server gets in his wallet it’s great if you actually receive the service I wish I could give Steak Market a better review but I have been holding this in because you can’t talk to a manager 💯 real talk there are 8 pp that can say the same and the water was a charged they impressed us as if was free that was 3.00 a person we were there to enjoy Dinner but instead left there feeling insulted not impressed

I booked this reservation a bit late for valentines and picked it based on the fact that it was one of only a few restaurants available. After reading the reviews, I was not at all excited about the place and was full of regret. We arrived at the restaurant about 40 minutes early as it had been a rough couple days at work, saw that the bar was inviting and thought we could enjoy a drink before dinner. Upon arriving at the restaurant, we were “greeted” by a huge bouncer who advised us that the bar was closed but that we could make ourselves at home on a cold unheated bench outside and were offered a glass of champagne. After 40 minutes in cold purgatory and watching countless other couples arriving an hour plus past their reservations and being welcomed in, we were finally allowed to enter the restaurant. Much to our amazement, the bar was fully staffed and was open and had 10 available seats? Leaving us feeling very much unwelcome but still committed to dining. The food was amazing, the service was great!! They even had a lovely jazz band playing….. I want to say we will be back, but in the land of first impressions the place has a lot of work to do….. we have lived in Atlanta for a number of years, have seen this building in constant turnover….. would love to see the owners make it…… need to figure out the front of the house, train your people to not lie to the guests and don’t make people wait outside in Atlanta in February on Valentine’s Day…. Is just rude!!!!

Overall, this was an incredible dining experience. The ambiance was perfect The food was excellent! I had the steak, and it was cooked perfectly. Highly recommended

The food was way over priced. The service was poor and the food quality was terrible. I would highly recommend not going to this restaurant. You will be sorely disappointed. There are many more restaurants in Atlanta that have much better food in the state category.

This place is amazing! Now for a little back story. So, you look at the menu online and just make some very incorrect assumptions: it’s going to be overpriced and a scene. Thats just not the case. We shared everything- the portions are meant to be shared. Crab cakes and grilled prawns (the size of your fist). The tomahawk steak for 2 was absolute perfection. Dessert will leave you speechless. Worth the price, worth the wait and if you want the best service, ask for a table where Simonia is working. She is really good at guiding the experience……and it is quite an experience. If you are heading to Atlanta, make the reservation in advance. It’s with the effort.

Had heard many comments about this place and thought to check it out. Made a reservation and was called 2 times to verify. Thought must be busy. Visited and we were literally the only table occupied in the whole restaurant. Food was ok, as was service. We were charged $30 parking fee!!!

The experience is like no other, but it will cost. The nitro-infused drinks were a great intro presentation. It was a special night, and SM did not disappoint.

I went to Steak Market for the first time to celebrate my birthday with friends. As a steak lover & photographer I really wanted a photo worthy dining experience at this restaurant based on the steaks, drinks & whimsical - one - of -a- kind desserts advertised on the website & the fact Shaq celebrated his 50th birthday there. Pros: every plate and side is shareable - it doesn't cost extra to share. It was nice choosing to eat "family buffet style" as the portions are hearty. The server we had was EXCELLENT, very attentive. The table service is excellent. Also, if you're looking for photo worthy desserts & drinks, you won't be disappointed! A lot of drinks and desserts have liquid nitrogen added and make for a fun photo taking and entertaining experience. Their "red carpet" entry outside with the backdrop is fun for group or couple photos too! For dessert: I chose the forbidden tree - it was very whimsical and unique! It was nice sharing the dessert - I could not have eaten all the homemade Cotton candy. Out of the entire meal the Garlic Fries were the only item I felt tasted above average! Valet parking is only $30, which is the best option for parking in that area - as even some public parking still get booted we heard from across the street! Opt for the Valet parking!! Cons: I recommend not making reservations at 5:30pm - since the restaurant opens at 5pm we found the music was not playing and the restaurant wasn't bustling at this time which made for a cold - stiff first impression. PRICE. It's too over priced for the "average tasting" entrees. We were shocked to learn that water isn't free - they only water served is by bottle or sparkling, so you automatically have to pay for water which is $24 per bottle, so if you don't want water - tell them right away to save $24. Coke products are $7 per glass - no free refills. The food is average, and the steaks don't tasted flame-grilled - they taste pan seared, very disappointing as I was expecting top of the line robust flavor for the price. You can bring your own birthday cake but its $25 per guest to slice there. My overall opinion: they really specialize in one-of-a-kind cocktails & desserts. It's fun to experience, it's definitely photo worthy! Just be prepared to spend $200-500 to really enjoy yourself.
Excellent Service
This is my 2nd time visiting, and I must say I am impressed. Although I have only dined and had drinks at the bar, my experience was excellent. Bartenders Emily and Q were absolutely amazing. I would feel comfortable recommending Steak Market to friends and family both local and otherwise. They are pricey, but the ambiance and quality of the food and drinks are great. Do yourself a favor and try them out when you get a chance!
